Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a baby, Dave.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Now for just a moment, here's we're a rolling ninety
minutes commercial free in before Generational Jeopardy and a capital two.
It's happening.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
No, it's not. No, it is No, it's not. Is
it for real this time? What's up?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
We're at this point where any little sign or symptom
that could potentially mean labor has me wondering am I
going into labor right now? And it's a little stressful,
to be honest with you, because I'm thirty nine weeks
pregnant today, so anytime within the next three weeks, but
most likely next week or so, I could just go
into labor, which is really weird, and it is everything.

(00:37):
If I get a little bit of a tummy ache,
is this labor? If I feel like Braxton Hicks or
something that I think might be contractions, but I don't
freaking know because I've never been through this before.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Those those are real, well, yeah, hicks feel they feel real.
I remember my wife having.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Those, right, But I just I don't know what a
quote unquote real early labor contraction feels like I've had
this like weird little tightening kind of in the underside
of my tummy the last couple of days, randomly a
couple times throughout the day, and I'm like, it doesn't
really feel like what I thought Brax and Hicks were.
But also I don't think I'm in labor right now,
so I just don't know, And it's really really strange

(01:13):
to just kind of be waiting it out and trying
to see what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Are you comforted at all by the fact that we're
prepped and ready?

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Are you prepped a ready? I am absolutely just excited
to get rid of me.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
No, not at all the slightest would you say that.
I know I expect you back to work the next morning.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
What I really appreciated is you guys are really really ready.
If I'm in the labor right now, I feel very
secure in the fact that you guys have a game plan.
Are you ready to hike me out to the hospital
and go?

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Speaking of that, I am like ready, like Peyton Mannett,
You're gonna get down here.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Do you have wait, oh man, we moved a look emotion.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Do you have the grippy gloves all ready to go?

Speaker 1 (02:03):
No? No, no, no, no, no, those gloves that like
the that they used to catch the football.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Sup.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Quarterbacks can't use those though. No I'm a quarterback. I'm
not of course. Yeah, we're ready.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
I just want to let you know that we are ready,
all right, when it happens, it happens. Just rest assured,
all thunder. You don't even need a hospital. We've been
through this before.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
We've got a throat on a tarp, and just to
get ready and hear

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
