(00:00):
Here we are another episode of ITell You Okay, here's what's going around
right now, Here's here's here's someof the stuff that's trending. Haley Welch.
You know the name, Yes,that is the Hawk school girl.
Yeah, and now they're talking abouther fifteen minutes of fame being up.
Hello, I don't think it's upon it? No, maybe not.

(00:21):
I mean, she's hired to dostage stuff and all that. They're trying
to grease it, and she's certainlymade a lot of money, has a
ton of Instagram followers as a resultof millions. But who's fifteen minutes?
I mean, I guess when itcomes to fifteen minutes of fame, I
get the context here when it comesto her. But really, with anything
nowadays, it's it's up. Everything'sonto the next thing, onto the next

(00:42):
thing, the next thing. I'mnot a fan of her like getting picked
on for it at this point,I said an interview with her, she
doesn't bother me. No, she'sgreat. She's not a school teacher.
She wasn't a school teacher. Allof the lies and bs that came out
about her, she said straight. She even said she doesn't like any she's
getting a ton of creepy messages fromguys, and she's like, well,

(01:03):
you're gonna get that right, Andshe said it sucks because she's like,
I'm making money now for endorsements andbrand deals with Instagram or Facebook. She's
like, but at the same time, I'm also getting the worst messages ever
from from a lot of men andfemales. We do too. It's it's
that's unpreventable. I mean, it'sI'm not saying it like to blow it
off. It comes with the territory. But my gosh, anytime that you

(01:23):
waltz over that line as a publicfigure, well there you are. You
know what I mean. People, you can't control those people. But I
feel bad for her because of allthe bs that came out. Is like
she was a school teacher. Shegot fired right away after they heard where
did all that come from? That? And she's just as like blown away
as anybody, you know. She'slike, yeah, you know, I

(01:46):
stand outside of bar I make thiscomment, the internet erupts and I'm something
and I'm just as clueless as anyone. And then she gets a bunch of
crap for being at a festival andannouncing or taking off the stage Warren Zeiders
and Jelly Roll, and it wasprobably many minutes removed from what they were

(02:07):
even on stage. The crowd's justkind of moved on anyway. Yeah,
but they didn't really cheer react, right, and she's getting a bunch of
crap for that, Like everyone's disengagednow. It's like they're disengaged at a
show. We could go out fifteenminutes after a concert and go man,
wasn't Jason eld and Austo you're gonnaget now, we'll get some response,

(02:28):
but it's not like when is thatfar removed and the crowd has dissipated,
They've gone off to VIP or togo get a hamburger or something. It's
you gotta cut her a brake.She didn't. I don't think she walked
right on stage. Just after theywere done. They were talking about how
uncomfortable it was, and it wasn't. I could play the audio, but
there's really nothing even really to play. I think anybody who's ripping on that
is never gone on stage and donesome kind of stage introduction. Like it's

(02:51):
just it's just different if you goon stage right before an artist goes on
that crowd's gonna go nuts. Nomatter what you say does not matter at
all. You can go out thereand just like mumble something and they cheer,
but you go on after. Ifit's not the second after the artist
walks off, then the crowd isdone. They're gone. They just kind
of move on. Yeah, ifthey want to go to the bathroom.

(03:14):
Yeah, they just you know, not that they can't wait for their favorite
act to go off stage, butthey want it's time to go use the
biffy. They're not like waiting withbaited breath on the off chance that someone
might walk out on stage in thenext half hour. They go and move
on with their life until the scheduledtime for the next artist. Usually there's
another band that fires up on anotherstage or something happening another stage right away

(03:36):
to kind of keep everything going. The last one is when we have to
come out at the end. We'realways like Hella, good night, will
see you next year. No one'sthere. They're all racing towards their cars.
I mean, it's nothing not onthe people that are on stage.
It's just the situation at hand. They're saying, is was Hawkedtua her only
material? Well, what did youwant do you want to cure cancer?
At this point, I know youlook at for some profound what are you

(03:58):
asking of her? Well? Andthe other thing is she there was like
the video. The original video itselfwas longer, and she was funny throughout
it, but everybody just sees theten second Hoctua clip. But she was
pretty funny for the rest of it. But she never ever participated in that
video with the intention of coming outand doing doing like a half hour comedy
skit. No, she was justjust a fun loving early yeah, just

(04:20):
hanging at the bar and she hadone of those guys who just walks up
to drunk people and asks some questionson video, and she happened to be
one of those people and she didit. And then now it's it just
so happens that that video in viral. She didn't ask for any of this,
She didn't go into it with anykind of prepared material. I just
love the people who did the interviewthough, because they released the statement being
like I love how she got allthe attention. But like we did the

(04:43):
interview, like you I do youasked, how do you please a man?
I know, I mean us beingout and about doing something in some
little errant camera shot or something offsomebody's phone and captures something we do and
we've been doing for years, andall of a sudden we're like discovered.
Yeah, and for ten seconds.I mean'd almost be kind of embarrassing at

(05:06):
that point. You know, I'vebeen doing this forever. I've said a
lot funnier things or more. We'vehad profound conversations on the air on podcasts
before, and then I go onthe street. Now I'm this big thing,
you know, or whatever it maybe. It's crazy. It's crazy
how things just catch fire like thatand take off. And you're right,
because we're always wanting more and we'relooking for something different, which is understandable,

(05:30):
but sometimes it's just something that wasn'treally there in the beginning. But
to expect more out of her,I don't know what people want to say.
Yeah, Okay, you're fifteen minutesof fame is done? Is that
all you got? Talked to agirl? She's like, well, I
never asked for anything more. Iwas just filmed right, very impromptu on
the sidewalk. Maybe I had acouple of drinks and said something silly.

(05:53):
Yeah, And she she has kindof embrace and acknowledged the fact that everyone
keeps on saying that her fifteen minutesare up, and she is trying to
do things to help people, likeshe went and she donated a bunch of
stuff and a bunch of time toan animal rescue, and so she's trying
to do good with what she's gotgoing. And I don't think a PR
team came running in right away sayingthis is what you gotta do, right,

(06:15):
because I don't think she had aPR team. No, you know,
no, you can't ask somebody tojust be Robin Williams after it.
Just some little comment on the street, right, Okay, you are now
the funniest person on the planet.Let's hear more. Well, yeah,
what do I got? I mean, yeah, I'm just a small tongue
girl from Tennessee that said something funnyand I didn't know that I had to
come out here with a completely preparedcomedic presentation. What I do like to

(06:40):
see is on her videos that she'sposted recently, there are a lot of
people who are commenting positive things wherethey're like acknowledging that people are being a
little too hard on her. Shedidn't ask for any of this like they're
coming out and saying these things thatwe're saying. So there are people who
are kind of defending her in away. You still have the people who
are ripping her, of course, but for the most part, people know,

(07:01):
in our rational human beings about thefact that she's just a chick who
was having some fun and she wentviral for it, and she didn't ask
for any of this, And Ithink she's she's gonna be fine, She's
gonna be okay, and I thinkthat I don't know, I think she'll
still do something with it. Andshe got she's got an Instagram account with
millions of followers. Now, Ithink a lot of people that are ripping
her are the people that are jealous, that have tried so hard to polish

(07:23):
up their pretty little faces and workso hard on their Instagram videos and they
wanted this, and they wanted itso bad to be that right, and
then it just doesn't happen. Huh. A couple of thousand hits, a
couple hundred hits, you know, and nothing. It's like, Okay,
keep swinging people, but you don'thave to take it out on her.
Well, thanks for listening to thisepisode of tell you what we butchered that
