and a half, you're going to be here. That's going

Oh, I'm so excited. I'm actually going to get to
uh stay up there and go fishing for a little
bit after the show for a few days. Is one
of my good buddies. Are you guys going, Yeah, I'm
going up to Leech Lake? Oh great, Yeah, kind of
do an annual trip there.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, you may want to bring your snow shoes, you know.
Really well, you're doing ice fishing because leech isn't isn't
free yet? I don't think is it is leech free?
No leeches? No, you're ice fishing, dude, Awesome.

That's crazy and June Yeah, I'm lying, okay.

Yeah, yeah, but people do believe that about Minnesota. I
think there's probably some lakes up around International Falls and
still have a few chunks in them. But oh you're
gonna have that time of your life. Man, that's awesome.

Yeah, it's always a blast. I think we usually while
I fish about May, but we're going for Meskie this year.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Oh that'll be more fun, much better fight. Are you
getting a guide?

Yes? Oh good, we're gonna have a guy, so I
hope we'll be able to put us on them.

Good, good, good. Hey dude, how was the Dustin Lynch
pool situation this past CMA fest?
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Oh, we snuck it in there. We you know, c
mafes Ha thunderstorms about every day and that doesn't do
well with pools. But what was so cool about our
show is we weren't affiliated with the CMA, so we
could kind of just operate by the Margaritaville Hotel rules.
So we were able to keep doing our show and
not clear the people off and everybody else had to cancel.
(01:43):
And we were up there up top on the on
the full deck, rocking out of the blast. I had
Dina Carter come out, Mister Hazel came out as special guests,
and just awesome memories.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
So I've got two kids. When I think of a
pool situation I think of something a little different, but
love the name. It's a pool situation. Who named that?
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Well? I mean, you know the way the pool situation goes.
There's there was a line all the way down the
street at like seven am. So people pick their spots
in the pool and they don't get out. So I
think you're onto something. I think there is a bit
of a situation in that water too. I can't figure
out how these country music fans, I call them pirates
(02:23):
of the situation. I can't figure out how they sit
in the pool for six hours and drink and you know,
don't have to leave. But I guess die hards are die.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Hard, Yeah, they they they find a way. I don't
know if I ever want to be a part of
that situation in the water. Maybe outside, to be outside.
I want to be in an outside situation.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
It's like it's like the you know, like the big
pools out in Vegas. You just don't get in them.
You got to go to the go to the family
side of the resort to get in the pools. You
don't get in the adult pools.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
So you've got speaking of Vegas, you have a couple
of dates left in July and August. Do you for
your residency out there?
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, we got a couple of July. We're actual playing
July fourth out there, and then we got another one
in August and then hoping to out some more after that.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Oh you are okay, But did you like July in Vegas? Can?
I ask? What's that cool situation? That's hot?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Dude, It's gonna be real hot. But you know we've
got at those shows, We've got plenty of Cryoh so
that cools you off. They've got big misters and uh,
we'll be spraying champagne everywhere, so everybody'd be nice and
uh nice of chili.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
That's my kind of situe.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Because I'm gonna be there in July for a bachelor party.
I was like, huh, we want to have to go
check that out because.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
For like you do.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, I would love to have you.

Yeah.

So you do DJ sets, so you're like actually doing
like the ones and twos, right.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, So it's our DJ set is our residency out there,
So I'm performing most of that set. The Encore Beach
set will be a little bit longer than our night
live set. Our night live set, but uh, it'll be
a lot of Meat performing. I'm it's it's just hot,
just really kind of a mass together all of our
hits mixed in with other country hits and rat hits,

and it's it's just so cool, man. I It's all
kind of came organically. It wasn't anything that I was
kind of It wasn't an evil plan. I just I
had an opportunity to play a Buddies after party for
PBR bull Riding at Excess Nightclub, and I'm like, well,
if I'm gonna play there, I'm just gonna put together
a fun dance show. I'm only gonna get to do
it once in my life. And it kind of just
(04:24):
blew up on its own. So we started, uh, we started,
you know, getting more and more phone calls, and then
I said, we'll shoot, let's start making some new music.
So we'll have some more new music coming out for
that that genre. I guess if you want to call
it dance country or electronic country or whatever it.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Is, is any of that on your new album coming out?
Or is that entirely different?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's gonna be two different projects. I'll I'll have an
electronic country project that we'll be releasing music too. And
then also you know, obviously I'm a country country artist
first and foremost, so that's we've already got a record,
well enough songs for full album to be released, and
so be released some more country songs too.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Can I ask what you're calling it the new album?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
I don't have it named yet, so.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
You going off on one of the singles or it
probably will be.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
It's it's. It wasn't like a concept of Hey, I'm
gonna gonna really make this album. I'm just kind of
writing and as the inspiration hits over the past year
and a half or so and just picking the best
songs we can from that batch.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Would you come on to Winstock next week? This is
completely an aside from the tour you're doing with Scotti,
the two for the road tour, right it is.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, we're gonna be doing this. This kicked off our
summer tour, so lots of pairs of festivals. Yeah, it'll
be a full show of of what you know, full
country band show. And then for for the fall, we're
gonna finish our year out with Scottie on twelve cities
and that's gonna be really fun because it's very collaborative show.
I'm not I've not done one like that where he
(05:49):
and I, instead of going kind of to the same
markets with two different stages, were like, what the hell,
let's just combine forces and go, uh, take this on together.
So I'm really pumped for the end of the year
and finishing out strong with him.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Dude, that is that is cool? And who named it
the two for the Road Tour? I love. I love
the title as simple as it is. I just love it.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Chat GPT oh they love it and whatever works. My
team sent me a bunch of options, and I was like,
I like two for the Road because you know, my
band brings the party. We will always try to bring
the party to the stage, and and I think, uh,
with me and Scotty out there, it's just kind of
fit both worlds.

Absolutely, we're looking forward to It's cool.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah, And since it's like usually the headliners they give
like their supporting acts like gifts. But since it's a
co lining head like a co headlining tour, are you
like you got something planned for Scotty? You're like, I know,
at the end of the tour usually like maybe some
pranks or something.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, I'm getting back into golf, not seriously, but he's
a big golfer. I think he plays a lot more
than I do. So my guess is I'm gonna follow
on some of my tour buddies. Well, actually, one of
my college roommates is on the tour truck for Calloway Okay,
so he can get us some some pretty cool one

off ye uh golf gloves and gear. I bet I'll
lean that way for Scotty because that's something that I
don't know if he can get He can get his
hands on anything, but I don't know if uh he's
got that contact Cali.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Oh yeah, because they you could also do. I don't
know if you've seen him on TikTok they have those
golf balls when you hit them that sound like a shotgun.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
When those are awesome. Yeah, just get those.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah, I mean, get him some golf balls with my
face printed printed all over him. You know.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Oh, there you go, dude. Golf yesterday for the first
time this year. The best two balls I hit is
when I stepped on a sand rake.

Hey, before we let you go, and I wanted to
ask the switching gears for just a second, are your
parents still happy about that degree in biology they got
for you or how's that going.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Yeah, I'm not using too much of it. I guess
I think he's a little bit of it on my
farm when i'm you know, playing for deer in Turkey
and hunting and all that. There's there's a little bit
of I guess a little of return. Dag has to
come out here now, so that works.

Yeah, you probably use a little biology in the pool situation.

It sounds like, oh, there's no doubt about that. There's
somebody probably don't know micros. There you go next, I'm
