Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to another episode of I Tell You What would
you like to learn? How to take a break and
recharge in less than five minutes. This is fresh in
off the old show prep service. Well, you're supposed to
drop into your senses. You're supposed to choose a sense,
a sense that's in front of you, like your sense
of smell. Depends on you really want to be careful
where you're at with that one, right, your sense of

(00:23):
feel you know it can be sight hearing, and drop
into it and focus all your attention and engage in
that sense. Like they say, run your hands under warm water,
which would bother me for five minutes because I would
feel like I'm wasting money. I'm wasting money on water
and the water heater, you know what I mean. So

(00:43):
that would be that would make it very tense for me.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Is it a waste if it's benefiting your mental health?

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Uh? Yeah, yeah, because it's not. Like I said, it
wouldn't benefit my mental health. My heart would go up
knowing that I'm spending more money on the list. Somebody
else said, massage your your skin, or massage use some
massaging lotion on your on your hands. Oh there for
five minutes and give yourself a hand massage.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Hand massage goes a long way. Massages are so nice.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Okay, so let's start doing that. We're massaging our hands.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Right, doesn't you can't just like do it with dry hands.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Although your hand right now it feels kind of good.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Well, your hands are so baby soft that it probably
does feel nice.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Is that a compliment? No? Why why would you I
work with these hands? I don't know how I work
with these hands. I work on my boat with these hands.
Look at my knuckles. I get, well, they're better today,
but I've get a knuckle bust. Man. I'm always swinging bunches.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I know, I know, I know. But your hands are
you have like baby hands, baby soft, baby baby inside.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
They're not small, They're just normal from my body. But
there are you saying they're like they're not manicured. I've
never had a manicure, but I did just do my nails.
They just clut my nails. Like.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
In the years that I've known you, there's been like
a couple times where you'll like hand me something or whatever.
It's not like we've held hands, but.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Like, I don't think you need to run that disclaimer
by the audience. They can figure that out.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
But like randomly, like a little bit of your hand,
like touch my hand, and you have like I don't
know if I just have man hands, sandpaper hands, but
you have like soft baby hands.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I don't recall ever engaging our hands to that degree.
Even notice you don't we barely.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
I know. Well, you take.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
A shot whenever you can, which is fine. I mean,
you'll take a shot in anything. And I love that.
I love I love that trust that I do. But
I don't. But sometimes I don't get it. Sometimes I like,
right now, I don't get it. I feel I'm touching
myself right now. That's weird. That doesn't sound good. Isolate
that audio I am. I'm feeling my hands right now. Yeah, yeah,

(02:44):
they are, they are. I don't have the calluses I
used to have, Yeah, but I still have. I'm gonna
be right in here. I mean from from working and
screwdrivers and stuff I do on my own pretty much,
all my own stuff, I know, you know. I mean
I fixed lawnmowers, I fix my basher and all that.
I'm not saying that requires a ton of work, and
some of it's more intricate, but I'm I bust my
knuckles on stuff left and right.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Do you wear silk gloves while you do it? It?
Spun by silkworms?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
No, Sam, you can't. You can also stop for a
moment and shake it out. Literally, you're supposed to stand up.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Taylor Swift had a right shake.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
What are you laughing at? Yeah, you're supposed to stand
up and shake it out. Shake out your hands, shake
out your arms, shake out your legs. Get that stress
out of there. Stand up. People sit in chairs all day.
That's another thing altogether. Yeah, it's the new smoking people
sitting down there getting flat butts.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
It's bad for you to sit around all day long.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
It's awful. It's like they said, it's right up there
with smoking and all that' stuff, and you know, the
heart disease and diabetes and everything else supposed to get
up by everyone's So we're all just sitting around all day.
Look around our office, people just sitting sitting, sitting, sitting
left and right. So you stand up, shake it out,
get that you know, canna get that energy going a
little bit if it's working right now and I'm sitting,

(04:00):
I'm not even standing up, you know what I mean.
Put your hand on your heart. Supposed to put your
hand on your heart for a little while. Yes, that's
what I was going to say. When you're feeling over stimulated,
you put your hand on your heart and then you
just kind of take some deep breaths and close your eyes.
Oh yeah, okay, you don't have to make a weird

(04:23):
to feel yourself. What are we doing here, Well, I'm
massaging my heart a little bit here. Okay, Yeah, that
does feel kind of good. Get a little fresh air.
They say, if you can't go outside, go over and
just stand by a window, even if you can't open it.
I supposed to at least you get least like if
you can get the sun, or at least you know,

(04:44):
look outside for a little while. Tells you that because
they're talking to people. This this is for also for
people that are up in office buildings like us. We
can't open any windows around here. It's nice and cloudy
out there. Go stand and look at the rain. Supposed
to make you feel a little bit better.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
It's kind of just a whole article about different This
is a bunch of bull crap, like meditation kind of
But let's get to box breathing.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Do you guys, do any box breathing.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Can you describe it?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, you go, I guess you go find a box
and you just breathe in it. I don't think that's
a bag breathe or something. Well, let me look at it.
Here says it's a simple way to relax and help
you focus. You just inhale for four counts, and then
you hold for four counts, and then you exhale for
four counts, and then you hold for four counts again,

(05:28):
and then you well, you should breathe for four counts. Breathing. Yeah, breathing, breathing.
So try that, Sam, I'm here. We go four counts
of breathing, breathe in not one.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I don't like me. I don't like counting.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
I'll count for you. Ready, breath then one two three four,
Now hold two three four, Now out two three four,
Now in two three four, now hold two three four,
now out two three. I think I just put about

(06:02):
sixteen people to sleep driving to Probably that doesn't work
for you.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
No, I just tried it. Yeah, it's the holding my breath. Yeah,
I'm gonna be out of breath trying to hold my breath.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Well. The last one on here is just get a
bottle of Crown. There you go and knock out about
six shots of that. You should be all right, sweet,
I don't chill you a little bit. Yeah, that's why
God made.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Booze, Yes, bottle of Crown go a long way, why
I turned water into wine.
