Speaker 1 (00:00):
From two point one Catle two. It's Chris Carrn Company.
It is seven to twenty one. Sorry, running a minute late.
Sam had to do her hair. Well it is I mean, look,
I mean we're running video in here, and by this stuff,
I mean I didn't even know we're going to do that.
I'm like, I'm not dressed for this. I'm really I'm
really not dressed for this. Are you ever get Oh?
I love this. If you can do it, yeah, you know,
(00:22):
go big or go home? Right A big drum roll?
Well I never play this except during the radiothon you
know what I mean? Yeah, what is this? What is
this big announcement going on on KBTLE two. Well, let
me clear something up very quickly here before we get
to the big announcement as far as your speculation when
it comes to I just want to give this and
this will make sense in just a second. Okay, I'd
(00:45):
like to get rid of the the this speculation on
Facebook and our socials on my retirement. How freaking old
do you people think I am? I'm not very seriously,
so let's get that out of the way. How much
money do you think I make? A right honesty, I'm
(01:09):
been doing this for a long time, but not that long,
and I don't make that much and I don't have that.
I've got two kids I'm trying to put through college.
I love you, dearly, thank you for thinking so highly
of me that I can just walk out.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
So you're saying the news is not that you're retiring.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
I'm not retired, Okay, no, because I'm waiting for the
corporate invitation for that. I'm waiting for them to do
that because then you get this special little box and
you get this little escort and all, let's kind of
stup for the walk out. You know, maybe you get
like you know, they put you in your car and
there's tears and everything else. And I'm that's what I'm
waiting for. Right That's gonna be my big way. I
want to go out. I want to go out like
everybody else does, right, you know what I mean. I
(01:42):
don't want anything special, but I would like to turn
the mics over to somebody else in the room right now.
And this is where if you've been listening to the
show a lot, and we love you for doing that,
where things might make sense.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Sam, Yeah, the mic has now turned over to me.
I've talked pretty openly about my HUSB has been a
nice struggles with infertility. We had a couple of miscarriages.
Last year, I had surgery to fix a heart shaped uterus.
I had a lot of procedures, there were a lot
of tests. That is a really tough journey to go
on and a lot of people go on it, and
my heart goes out to anyone that's been through it
because I've been there. I've been through it. And after
(02:17):
going through all of that and sharing it with our
Kiyoono two family here, the amount of love and support
that we got was just amazing truly, and Hawthorne and
I have always wanted to start a family and we've
always been open to doing that no matter what it
might look like. It didn't really matter, you know, whether
it's having our own kids, by adopting anything like that.
It was just whatever was going to feel right, whatever
God's plan was for us. And after all of that,
(02:39):
after this journey, I am super happy and excited to
tell our Kiano two family that Hawthorn and I have
found out that I'm pregnant and we are in our
second trimester now, so we finally feel comfortable enough to
share the news with our Cano two family. I feel
like we're all kind of gathering around the kitchen table,
and you know, you got to tell your family. So
(03:00):
here I'm telling you, and you know, we come together
and we share so much from our lives and it's
such a blessing to be able to connect with so
many people in that way, and so it only feels
right to tell everybody that and bring you all in
on the journey too. And I'm super super thankful, feel
super blessed, and it's just been quite a ride to
get here.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You took the words out of my mouth. It's like
when you're a family, and no matter what you got,
whatever that announcement may be, you may be like, let's
get everybody together six o'clock and want everybody at the
dinner table tonight. Everybody come in, make sure they get
the kids there and everything. And it could be something
going on with the family that could be tough news,
or it could be something going on that could be
great news. It could be all a trip to Disney World.
(03:43):
Let's just get everybody together. Yeah, and this is the
best news that we could possibly share, because your journey
this last year has been very inspirational to so many people,
and we'd love you dearly. Thank you. And when we
found out I found out a few months ago Chris
by accident, Yeah right, and I have my jaw hit
(04:10):
the floor, and we love you and we couldn't be
happier for you, and I know that this audience feels
the same way. Thank you. Thank you for being so
open about everything, and it should encourage so many people
that are going through what you're going through and what
have you, what you have gone through, to just stay
on it, just keep going and just make your dreams
come true.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Thank you for happening, that's one way or the other, absolutely,
and I just feel super super blessed in so many
different ways. So thank you to everyone that reached out
back when we like, throughout this journey, when we've been struggling,
even now when you're pregnant after those losses, it's a
really scary process still and so I still feel like
I'm on that journey, on that struggle, but it's a
(04:48):
really good place right now and so I'm really happy
to be able to share that with everyone.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
So thank you. And pretty soon she's going to start
to show and people will ask questions so we really
had to do it pretty soon. I mean to my
I mean, I don't know, right because otherwise everybody like,
oh you look good, you got a glow to you.
That's all I'm gonna say. You've done your hair differently,
(05:12):
what's going on?
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Something just looks a little different.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
So what I would like to say to you is
this you ready, Okay, let's crank it up. All I
do is we to Sam and Hartland. Let's love that
baby and the days we are so so happy for you. Congratulations,
(05:39):
We love you, Love you, dearly, dearly, dearly. Alright, you's
got a friend. Now, let's go cool, all right, anything else.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I think that's it. I think that, by the way,
and today's my last shift.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I thought i'd throw that in jumping, so I had
to make it about me at the end. I'm very
happy for you. We all ought to thank you.
