Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Gary and Shannon and you're listening to kfi
AM six forty, The Gary and Shannon Show on demand
on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Gary and Shannon KFIAM six forty Live everywhere on the
iHeartRadio app. Fallout continues from yesterday's second apparent attempt at
assassination against former President Trump.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
We do know a couple of things.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
We do know that the acting head of the Secret
Service is in Florida, arrived this morning and is expected
to meet with the former president. Also, there is as
of right now, there's about a one o'clock news conference
that's planned for Florida. The Secret Service and the FBI
are expected to come out and tell us what they
do know about the suspect, about what this guy was doing,

(00:44):
maybe potentially some motives in the unsealed documents that came
from his court appearance this morning. They also said that
they believe he had been in or around the Trump
golf course for twelve hours at some point yesterday, which
I mean the shooting, or at least he was spotted

(01:05):
by Secret Service at about one thirty yesterday afternoon, flor
at a time. So was he there all night and
if he was How did he know that Trump was
going to be golfing, because apparently that was a last
minute decision.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
The BBC talked to three astronauts about what it's like
to be at the International Space Station and because I've
been obsessed with underwear and these people that go up
there for eight days and stay for months, and how
much underwear do they have and it's got to be
dirty and how do they wash it. One of the
astronauts says that you know there's a lot of work

(01:42):
that needs to be done up there, you know your
days accounted for, and that that creates a lot of sweat,
and that it leads to an important issue, which is washing.
This former astronaut said, we don't have laundry, just water
that forms into blobs and some soapy stuff. Without gravity
pulling the sw off the body, the astronauts get covered
in a coating of sweat, way more than on Earth.

(02:05):
She says, I would feel the sweat growing on my scalp.
I had to swab down my head. You wouldn't want
to shake it because it would just fly everywhere. Clothes
become so dirty that they're thrown out in a cargo
vehicle that burns up in the atmosphere in zero gravity.
She says, clothes float on the body, so oils and
everything else doesn't affect them. I had one pair of

(02:25):
trousers for three months.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
That's interesting.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, they would just generally be cleaner than they would
if they were on Earth.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
I mean the clothing at least.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Internationally, the Huthies have claimed responsibility for launching a ballistic
missile towards central Israel. They said it was a new
hypersonic missile. A military spokesman for the Huthis said that
the missile traveled more than twelve hundred miles in under
twelve minutes. Israel says the missile actually fell in an
unpopulated area, but it did it did start a fire. Hey,

(03:00):
careful out on the beaches on the East Coast. Authorities
closed beaches in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware to swimmers yesterday
because things like hypodermic needles and used feminine hygiene products
were washing up in popular beaches.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Oh god.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
The closures stretched along fifty miles of coast from Fenwick
Island and Delaware to Chincotegue Island down in Virginia.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
It remains a mess. In Palace Verdes, southern California, Edison
plans to turn off power to about one hundred and
forty homes. The announcement came about a month after gas
service was shut off for families in this area because
the land is moving around.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yeah now, the utilities say the problem with the new
shutoffs is similar to what happened at Portuguese Bend and Seeview,
about eight miles away. This landslide has been moving too
much lately, and the utilities are worried. The problems like
wildfires from down utility poles, wires the potential for those

(03:59):
to mix with the gas. Of course, so Cal Gas
says that the cutoffs will affect thirty four homes, and
Edison says their electricity cutoffs to about fifty homes. Maybe
fifty one homes would happen by six o'clock on Wednesday,
and they could be sooner if the landslides get worse.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
They say.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
The land is currently moving at a rate of about
one foot per week. This has been going on at
Portuguese Ben since nineteen fifty six, but we've had two
winters worth of heavy rain that's accelerated the land movement.
So why now, that's why.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Now it was interesting to see not that everything revolves
around presidential politics, but like we said over the late
last week, when President Trump was there in Ranch's Palace Verdes,
he did talk about this. He did talk about you know,
before he was talking about what an shole he thinks
California is. He was saying that the people at RPV

(04:55):
deserve to have government assistance in this, deserve to have
some help come in, and that one of the ways
that he would do that is to make California money
by increasing business opportunities here, et cetera. I don't know,
it's kind of a stretch to connect the two, but well,
at least he's paying attention.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, and he was just talking about a business is
moving out of California and the fact that he knows
how to do business with people like Elon Musk. You know,
I think that was his whole narrative, with the whole
I take him out to dinner, I take him out
to breakfast the next day, and like, I know how
to get deals done right, the art of the deal guy,
I could have kept the businesses in California. Kind of
a narrative.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
It was.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
It was a good point, and we've mentioned it before,
and I think he's actually said it before. No one
contacted Elon Musk. Now, listen, Elon Musk isn't owed anything
by the government of the state of California, but that
no one reaches out and makes some attempt at saying, hey, man,
I'm really sorry that this isn't working out for you.
We love we love your businesses in California. We love

(05:58):
the tax revenue that you guys bring in through SpaceX
and Twitter and and Tesla, and we hate to see
you go that none of that. We don't know that though.
No No Elon Musk has said no one reached out
to him.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Interesting because you would think that there would be lawmakers
up in the Silicon Valley that were just uh. I
can't think of a term that I can say on
the radio, but you know what I mean with that guy, Yeah, uh,
making sure he was comfortable and happy because of the
money he was bringing in. But that's shocking to me. Okay,

(06:33):
so we've got a bad teacher coming up, and this
one's in Orange County, and it seems like some old
claims are surfacing. But this guy is currently a teacher.
Well now he's on administrative leave, but he has been
currently teaching for years, currently teaching for years. You know
what I mean, I know what you man.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
That's all right, it's rough. It's Monday, and you're getting back.
You had an entire day of football, dude. I was
a twenty two year old male yesterday. I just sat
in my underwear watching football for like hours and hours
on several screens.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
The Chargers did beat the Pants. Nobody, nobody could judge me.
Nobody could say, is this what you're gonna do with
your whole day?

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Or just just walk into the room, roll their eyes
and walk out exactly.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Chargers beat the Pants.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Panthers twenty six to three Rams got crushed by the
Cardinals forty one to ten Rams.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Look horrible, oh miss embarrassing.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Tonight Monday Night football Falcons Eagles.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
But later on in the show, we'll talk a little
bit gas fantasy for play in our first week and
see how people did.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
All right, how did you do?

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Not?

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Great? I think I did too? And two Okay, that's
about normal.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Same Sam, a teacher in Orange County who fathered a
child allegedly with a teenage student decades ago. Has now
been placed on administrative leave. Police are investigation or investigating
these allegations of the sexual abuse against him, trying to
find out if he left this behavior in the eighties
or if this is something he's continually done. This is

(08:01):
a woman by the name of Rico Wright. She was
a former student at Laura Lara High School there in Anaheim.
Went to social media to share her allegations against this guy.
His name is Steve Graves, and she says he abused
her and impregnated her in the late eighties. Another former student,

(08:22):
Helen Loney, wrote on social media she was sexually abused
by this guy in nineteen eighty seven when she was sixteen.
This guy right now is sixty one years old. That
would have put him in his mid twenties at the time.
He's also a band instructor as well.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
The two girls were friends at the time, apparently, and
both of them now say that they want to pursue
legal action against him if possible.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Is it possible?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I mean, is there a statute of limitations on something
like that?

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I think there is. Just they said he was the
teacher who lingered at your desk a moment too long.
He most recently was the band director at Lexington Junior
High School.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Why did you why would you wait that?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
I mean, I'm not victim shaming, but knowing that this
guy is a teacher continual continued to teach the guys
like this, don't just stop at two girls in the eighties?
Do they know?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
That's not that's not so. I mean they may there
may have.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
It may have been easier for him to groom them
if he was mid twenties, that's true, then if he
was mid forties or you know, just in terms of
the age, they may have felt.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Comfortable with him for some reason.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Over the years, he's received three Teacher of the Year
awards from the district there in Anaheim, multiple honorary service
awards from the Parent Teacher Association.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
The district says it's taken steps to make sure that
it's they fire him, and they have talked to or
at least notifying the families of the Lexington students as
to the investigation. The statement from the school district also
said the allegations had revealed that paternity tests conclude that
he in fact was the father of the child of

(10:23):
one of the students.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Wow, you wonder if he knew that that he impregnated her.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Well, and that kid is in their thirties forties, right, Wow, so.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
It's not just Burbank. Apparently in Charlotte the air conditioning
gets turned on sometime around eleven as well.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Oh and you probably aren't prepared for that.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
I am. I have a jacket because it was raining.
There's rain in the forecast. We're all we I know,
did you hear? Always said it's raining? Question mark. There's
a thing called rain to be a leak somewhere. So
I do have a light rain jacket with me.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Well that's good.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
I'll survive this.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
I think you're gonna make it. I do think you're
gonna make it. And Rich's there if if you need that.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
What good is Rich? All he's doing is sitting there
talking about how you're a beautiful man.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
That was a pretty great laugh.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
You know how people perceive those two shootings of President
forty nineteen seventy five. I was an adult that I
lived in Chicago, and you know part of it what
like Gary said, they're like two crazy broads. But yeah,
also I think back then people outside of California saw
California's as just kind of nuts and that was part

(11:43):
of it.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, well it wasn't Gary who called them two crazy broads.
It was me.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yes, I mean, you would never say that.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
All I pointed out was that they were women, which
you would never say that. You you painted a different picture,
similar but different, two crazy broads.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
You would never talk about women like that.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
What I not on the air? I wouldn't dare I
all right?

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Coming up next?

Speaker 3 (12:15):
I don't know this place it feels.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Oh oh, this is where you just don't want to
be out in the dating world because it still get stabbed.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Yeah, there's that. I don't know what dating app they
were on.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
But but we'll come back and talk about that we
come back.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
That's what we'll do when we come back. Are you
all right?

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Are you having a stroke? Oh?

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I just felt very dizzy for a second. I really
I'm very hungry.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Well, go get some food. Go to the snack drawer.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
That's a good idea.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
Oh I have these No, no, no, no, they're not They're
not a vegan thing. You would like them, Crater Joe Joe's.
You guys have probably eaten them. They're these rice nuggets.
It's like, no, we don't want your rice nuggets.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
We want real foods, rice nuggets.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
I'm going to get the famous same as cookies or something.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
I thought I was being helpful in the in the
second drawer, in the bottom drawer, cup of noodles. Man,
make your life happen this Monday, and get yourself a
cup of noodles. Is there any sodium in that? It
is a cup of sodium? I noticed that the last
cup of noodles I had. It's just like eating the
salt shaker.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
You puffed up like, Oh I did? I did? Did you? Yes?

Speaker 1 (13:25):
My feet well up? My arms making bread and them
second swoll making bread in your sandal. No, they're not sweating,
just saying.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
When your feet swell out. Yeah, the corns were pretty
big last time.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
What is it with you and corns? Jacob? Do you
have some sort of foot trauma in your past? Has
the healing begun?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
No more sodium for you? I think I'm gonna get.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
A goiter Malibu again.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Huh?

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Something going on, Deborah? What's going on? Alt it?

Speaker 5 (14:00):
This morning grabbed my dogs and I was really pissed
off because it woke me up and scared.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Were you naked? I was?

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Actually yeah, I was.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
There's something that's happened, and they're striking when Deborah's naked,
So there's something to this.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
I need to work out more or something.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
I don't know what is that what you said.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
There's something happening with Debora's naked. Maybe you know it's
the first telling me, you know, I need to be
in more shape.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
I don't think that's what that's that's the universe is like, damn,
she looks good naked.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Let's shake see we can shake that one up a
little bit. Love that anger is your response.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
I am so angry that we have had so many earthquakes,
I really am. And then I'm angry because I've got
to make sure that I hold it together here when
you know, the big one strikes here, so that I'm
you know, I'm taking seriously around here.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
I loved it. You mean when you're at work, Yes, okay.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
I loved on Friday when I was listening to you
to talk about it, and Deborah said, I know that
it's or maybe it was John. I don't know. It
was Deborah and somebody. You guys are all interchangeable for me, but.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
She said, I just.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Really, I know it's not possible, but if there's one
thing that I would like to change in the world.
It's that we don't have earthquake. Yes, yes, And you're like,
not murder, you don't want to eradicate murder, and she's like, no,
that we can control that. It was so funny. That
was fun listening to you guys. Joe quantexted me. She says,

(15:26):
Jacob is extra brave today because he knows you're not
in the same state as him, to which I say, yes, exactly,
Jacob talking about my foot corns, Well.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Then don't so much salt. Then, yeah, it's got a point.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
And process meats, Oh, you stay away from my meats.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
We had We had a couple of musical brothers who
died over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
Did you see this? Tito died. Tito died. Jackson died
of a heart attack yesterday, just.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
A few days ago and driving a car at the time, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
From New Mexico to Oklahoma, because pet's what people do.
A few days ago he was touring with Marlon and
Jackie I think, and they were visiting. He ended up
visiting a memorial to Michael, his other brother, one of
his other brothers in Munich. But Tito Jackson was seventy
years old. And then I never realized Johnny Cash had

(16:24):
a brother, Tommy Cash.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Me neither.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Tommy Cash died at the age of eighty four, twenty
one years after his older brother died. Now, I also
didn't realize that Tommy Cash hit the top ten in
Billboard's Hot Country Songs in nineteen seventy with a song
called six White Horses and if you listen later on
during a mixtape month, I was going to.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Say, how are you not playing it?

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Well, I can if you want me to. I just
didn't know if you were going to be a big
fan of Tommy Cash or not.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
It was a tune dedicated to JFK, Robert f K
and Martin Luther.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
King Junior, Robert and Martin Luther K Junior.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
So six White Horses must be like a funeral thing.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
Yes, absolutely, John FK.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Mm hmm mmm, wow, this is really uh mensa material.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
But again, he was, I love this voice, though, I
like that voice.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Well, it's very john Well, obviously, it's very Johnny like
Johnny Cash.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
That is.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
He then had a couple more songs that charted, one
called Rise and Shine and one called One Song Away.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
Goodbye John works, but Goodbye Robert or goodbye Martin.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
It doesn't really flow, does it.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Well, we'll see what he says, won't we.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
Yes, see, see he squeezed. He's got to squeeze that
extra syllable in there, and it doesn't flow as well.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
I realize you're going to be so critical about Tommy Cash.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
I'm not critical. I just don't like it when they
extra syllables into the melody.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
You are adamant today? What is going on?

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I'm very aggressive because I am sitting here for a
week with a football team and I, you know, the
aggressiveness rubs off.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Maybe Engineer Rich needs to take your shoe shopping or something.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
You know, if I go shoe shopping, Rich is not
going to be the one I go with. I don't
know what kind of shoes you're wearing right now, Rich,
Oh those aren't bad. Those are nice Nikes. Maybe I
will take him shoe shopping.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
No, no, he's taking you. You go shoe shopping. He's
just going to be there with you.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Yeah, it's funny that I was assigned a babysitter, but whatever.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
That's the police have opened a homicide investigation. A woman
found stabbed to death in Long Beach early yesterday morning.
They said it was in a gated community. They thought
originally it was possibly connected to a burglary, but they
found this woman, a thirty year old woman stab wounds
upper lower body. She was pronounced dead at the scene,
and they arrested a forty sorry, a twenty four year

(19:11):
old guy, Long Beach guy. He's being held two million
dollars bail. They were believed to be involved in a
dating relationship.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
You can't date anymore. They'll stab you, but they haven't
just bore you with lack of effort.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
Wow. Ouch, That's the thing that I've.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Heard from my single friends is that that's a real
problem in the dating world. They're not trying hard. There's
no effort.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Did the women try anything? Wow? What I'm asking, I
don't know. They say to you, women like this and
I've tried this.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Women just have to kind of show up, right, you know.
Isn't that the way that biology works is the men
seek the women, the men chase the women. Isn't that
how it goes? Girls should not be chasing boys.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
Yes, doctor Wendy, that is true.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
No, I think she would argue that one.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
She says, sperm chases the egg. Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
The fact that you know that and that you could
just pull that up is Do you listen to her
show every week every Sunday? Oh?

Speaker 2 (20:15):
And if I miss it, I can always podcast it.
All I have to do is go to the iHeart app.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
And type in Do you remember when we had her
on our show and she was talking about the three
things that you need to give men for them to
be happy? They're very basic and I don't think I've
seen Robin run that quickly down the hallway.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Do you think that's why it.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Was a b And then.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Yeah, do you think that's why her office is now
closer to the studio.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yes, that used to be a long run, but she
got here lickety split.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
There was an attempted armed robbery in bell Air and
apparently a guy was shot multiple times. Kfi's own Blake
Trolley is covering the story for us. We found out
that the guy who was the victim in this case
is a pretty well known owner of a chain of

(21:09):
fitness centers.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Blake, what's going on?

Speaker 6 (21:11):
Yeah, so his name is Miguel Aguilar, and yeah, he
owns a gym that has twenty six locations both here
in southern California and in other states as well, and
his gyms really have an emphasis on personal training. It
sounds like, you know, his gyms really hire elite personal
trainers to train people and it's not so much a

(21:33):
gym that you just walk in on. Now, his influencer status,
he has more than fifty thousand followers on Instagram that
comes from his training seminars that he gives, and he
gives these reaching out to other fitness personal trainers explaining
to them how they can make six figure salaries in
the personal training business.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
It sounds like.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
He's had a lot of success. So with that, he's
been trying to spread his business model and work is
really a business and to a lot of other personal trainers.
Now so far with the LAPD has confirmed more generally
to the media about this is that four guys on
Friday tried to rob Miguel Aguilar and that during that robbery,
one of the guys pulled out a gun in shot

(22:13):
Aguilar multiple times. This happened in bel Air, But this
is not the fresh Prince of bel Air bel Air
that you guys are thinking about. This is just north
of Westwood and when you look at this neighborhood that
this happened in. These are kind of more normal looking
homes in the hills. They're still very expensive, but this
isn't so much in the mansion district.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Now.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
TMZ is reporting through their sources that Aguilar was actually
followed home to bel Air. They say that he was
ambushed when he got out of his car, and that
the four tried to actually steal Aguilar's rolex before he
was shot in the face and then again rushed to
the hospital. TMZ is further reporting that Aguilar himself had
a gun, but did not fire any shots. Oddly enough,

(22:54):
they're also reporting that a man with a gunshot wound
to his back went to a hospital after this robbery
where he died. And police think that guy maybe was
involved in the robbery, but it's uncertain how he was
shot or if he was even you know, involved in
that original that original arm robbery. Wow, So what do
we know more about this guy's business? I mean, I

(23:15):
know that it's relatively popular. This self made training facility
is the is the name of this group that he owns. Yeah,
so it's a growing business. It's a business that people
can franchise. If you look around southern California. There are
locations in Hollywood, Long Beach, Palm Springs, Rancho, Kucamonga, all
the way down to San Diego. He's expanded to Arizona.

(23:36):
