Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Gary and Shannon and you're listening to KFI
AM six forty the Gary and Shannon Show on demand
on the iHeartRadio app. An update right now from Sheriff
Shannondikas and San Bernardino County about the missing baby, the
parents who have been arrested in charge.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
With the murder.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
You want to go to that.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Let's go to that and see what he has to Saya.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Is talking right now, but they'll get your same here.
Six second.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Thank you, Mike.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
To Mike's point, I want to thank all of you
in the media for covering this, specifically the parents' initial
statements to the public while we were trying to find
a manual. They became critical as we continue through this investigation.
But I want to talk about a little bit about
the process because we've seen a number of questions related
to amber alerts and.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Things like that.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
So I hope when I finished this that everybody understand
kind of the course of the investigation. But the investigation
started for us on August fourteenth, when Rebecca Harrow reported
that her son had been kidnapped. Folks within twenty tenty
four hours through video surveillance, we found inconsistencies and Rebecca's statement,
and as a result of that, there was no other

(01:06):
vehicle to put out on an amber alert or anything.
And I know many of you were wondering why that
didn't occur, But really, after finding out those inconsistencies in
the statement on the initial report, that's where hundreds of
hours of investigations have come in by our specialized Investigations
division to try to get to the bottom of what's
really going on here.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
And when I say hundreds of hours, I'm.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Talking about forensics, forensic data on vehicles, phones, and potential
crime scenes, judicial authorized search warrants that were served, and
through that process, that's where we learned that the jurisdiction
of where this has occurred was in Riverside County, so
hence the Riverside County DA and Riverside County Sheriff's Department,
which I can't stress enough we've had.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
A long term partnership.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
We work well together, and we know how to get
things done in these environments. But that's why the jurisdiction
had changed from the original jurisdiction that was reported in
which is YUKAYPA, California. But as we went through that
portion of the investigation, and realized that these things that
had happened in Riverside County. You saw the culmination of
all the different entities get involved, and going back to

(02:13):
what Mike mentioned about the DA's office in San Marinino
County and high tech crimes forensically, there are a number
of things that we were able to prove up that
we're not going to be able to share today exactly
how we did that, but there is a tremendous amount
of evidence to suggest that the initial story post was
not the correct story. So in that partnership with our agencies,

(02:34):
I'm going to introduce my partner, Chad Bianco, where this
crossover occurred at Riverside and we reached out to Mike
who's obviously filing the case, and of course Chad to
assist it's an investigation.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Chad, thank you.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
I'd like Sheriff, I guess I just want to thank
all of you for the especially the normal mainstream media,
for your attention to this and for your cooperation and
this as we were assisting Samernandino in this investigation trying
to originally find a missing baby, but then eventually quickly

(03:09):
learning that that investigation was not something that it started
as not so much for social media and keyboard warriors,
who quite honestly, sometimes hamper and prevent us from a
good investigation. I do want to expand a little bit
about our relationship with Sam Bernardino. A lot from the media,

(03:33):
A lot of questions have been raised about jurisdiction, and
what Sheriff Dikas and I routinely talk about to our
own communities isn't really necessarily displayed in the media or
said to the media.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
But neither one of us care about jurisdiction.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Our belief is that the Inland Empire is better served
when we are cooperating and working together, and in this investigation,
from the very beginning, it was obvious that it could
involve both counties when something like that happens, particularly in
this case, the original investigation began with Sheriff Dikas and
if he chooses to take it to the end, he will,

(04:11):
which obviously he did.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
And my position is is Sheriff Diicas is.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Responsible for this and the assistance of my department, so
there is no asking us there is anything like that
is we have to serve our public best and he
has every single available resource that the riverside County Sheriff's
office has to offer to make sure that we provide
justice in this case. This is an extensive investigation with

(04:38):
both agencies that ultimately is headed by the Supervisor of
the Detective Bureau from the Sheriff's Office in San Bernardino.
But the cooperation, as you can see, between the both
counties is what is going to bring this to a
successful conclusion. There is absolutely nothing, nothing, no crime more

(05:00):
important than the injury of a human being, particularly a child,
and the amount of resources that were expended to find
this baby and to ultimately bring the people to justice
responsible for the loss of this baby. I can't even
tell you the amount of resources that were expended in

(05:22):
this It is a massive investigation that will obviously be ongoing,
and we appreciate your efforts. This involves a lot of
things though from us, and hopefully there are more questions
to be answered, but I'll end it by saying this
before we get into more questions specifically about this case.
This was preventable in numerous ways, the amount of response

(05:47):
we have had from the public, the enormous anger that
a child was not only originally thought to be kidnapped,
but then.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Presumably murdered kind of warms my heart a little bit that.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
There is compassion still out there, there is care about
other people. There is people actually do care about other people.
There is absolutely nothing worse than harming a baby, broken bones, injuries,
life altering trauma, And had that case been successfully handled

(06:28):
how it should have been, Emmanuel would still be with
us today. So I thank you all for taking the
time and the effort to make sure that the world
sees this investigation and we will successfully bring it to conclusion.

Speaker 6 (06:42):
With the help of both these often listening to a
news conference from Riverside and San Bernardino County official Emmanuel
Harrow in a seven month.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Old data.

Speaker 7 (06:51):
The Sergeant Nicholas Clark is the lead investigator on this case,
so even though he's San Bardino County, he will be
functioning as the lead investigator on this case, which is ongoing.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
The investigation is ongoing, even though we have filed charges.

Speaker 7 (07:05):
And then Brandon Smith is going to be the lead
prosecutor on the case, obviously Riverside County prosecutor. And with that,
I obviously you all know yesterday in court we filed
murder charges on both Jake and Rebecca Harrow and we
also filed filing of a false police report. And with
that I will take questions. I know you're gonna have

(07:26):
a lot of questions. I do want to lay some
ground rules. The way we do it here is don't
shout at me, no chaos, just raise your hand. I
asked you to ask me one question at a time.
I'll do my best to call on everybody. When we've
gotten through everyone who has a question, then we can
go back and ask more follow ups. Okay, So I'll start.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Here on the front with yes, Matt Hi define.

Speaker 8 (07:47):
And then my question is, first of all, do you
have any idea where a baby?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
And is any idea where the baby is?

Speaker 7 (07:54):
You know, yes, we have a pretty strong indication of
where the remains of baby Manual are, so that investigation
is ongoing at this time.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yes, go ahead, now, Johnson Quart TV.

Speaker 9 (08:09):
What was the information that led to the initial search
off the sixty in the renovalance?

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Sure, if you want to take that.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
I'm not going to go into grave detail about that,
but there is some level of cooperation with the suspects
involved in this, and we're trying to locate that and
our job is to follow every lead before the rest
of the room. Here, we have to understand what you're
dealing with is an experienced child abuser that is aware
of a previous case, that is aware of evidentiary things
that we are certainly concerned with. So we're going to

(08:45):
take every step to not only work with any suspect
or witness involved in this, because at the end of
the day, we have to bring a case to Mike
and they have to charge it, and we have to
make sure that every single thing, no matter what is
told to us or what we discover in terms of evidence,
is the right thing, and that we followed up extensively.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Okay, who's next. I'll go to you first, and then
do you go ahead?

Speaker 8 (09:08):
Did you boss?

Speaker 2 (09:09):
You have with fossil eleven news? Do you believe you Bill?
How baby? And then you will find vers.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Killed and is certainly share quests whether they know the cause.

Speaker 7 (09:19):
The filing in this case reflects our belief that baby
Manual was abused, victim of child abuse over time, and
that eventually, because of that abuse, he succumbed to those injuries.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
And that's what that's what we believe, Yes, Sir.

Speaker 9 (09:37):
Made with action our news.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
I noticed all the rap records and booking records that
they do have Big carl as a.

Speaker 9 (09:45):
Murder with malice and also another murder.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Charge as well.

Speaker 9 (09:50):
Is there a second murderer or can you explain wider food?

Speaker 3 (09:53):
We charged botha and Rebecca with.

Speaker 7 (09:57):
Murder's next to the said rob This is in reference
to chat is talking about. But can you go into
some detail about that case in twenty twenty three and
what happened there and from my understanding it was a
suspended sentence.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yes, I will so in twenty eighteen, Jay car all right,
we're going to pull away from this. The update is well,
from what I heard, the update is they know where
the remains of the baby are.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
They didn't get into the details specifically of why the
sheriff there Sanandikas and San Bernardino County didn't give an
answer to the question of why were you searching off
of the sixty in Moreno Valley, But when asked if
they know where the remains are, the DA did say, yeah,
we believe we do, but that they do not They

(10:51):
do not have them in.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Hand yet. But this is clearly this is a case.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
They haven't given details about how they think baby Emmanuel died.
The reference was that he was the subject of or
the victim of ongoing abuse and succumbed to those injuries
and died then. But they don't know anything specifically about
potentially date of death. It could you know, it could
be up to weeks before that. He was even reported missing.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Mama dad both charged with murder, as you know, we
heard that yesterday. We'll stay on top of this, get
you an update from Minneapolis as well when we come back.

Speaker 8 (11:30):
You're listening to Gary and Shannon on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
We are following a press conference out of Riverside, there
where the Inland Empire authorities giving an update on the
baby Emmanuel case. The latest that we were able to
ascertain from this press conference is that they do know
where the remains of that seven month old baby are.
They have a good indication they have not recovered them.
Both parents have been charged. They did say that this

(11:58):
baby was the victor of abuse for quite some time.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Okay, I was listening to it.

Speaker 6 (12:03):
Mike Hestron did say they have a good idea of
where the baby's remains are, and then was asked again
about that and clarified or changed it and said I
didn't say I know where the baby's remains are.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Now they have an idea where the area probably, yeah,
the greater southern California area.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
It could be that vague.

Speaker 6 (12:20):
He also Mike Hestro in the Riverside DA was going
through and detailing the original child abuse charges that were
filed against Jake Harrow, the father, and this was from
a case a couple of years ago, and he described
he was very upset with the judge because the judge
did not put Jake Harrow in prison during after the conviction.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
He was out in probation in fact, when this baby
was killed.

Speaker 6 (12:45):
And he described the injuries to the victim in the
original case and who was the victim, what relation was
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
That's a good familial I would assume.

Speaker 6 (12:54):
But this the girl, Carolina was her name, is bedridden
as a result of the cevie your abuse that she suffered.
I don't know if it was all his doing, if
it was all Jake Harrow's doing, but he went through
and described the types of injuries, the broken bones that
this little girl suffered and is currently bedridden.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
That's exactly right.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
And those types yeah, those types of people should not
be even close to any sort of possibility of probation.
And this guy was not only out on probation, he
had violated that probation and was waiting for a hearing. No, no, no,
you put a little girl in the hospital bedridden with
injuries because you're that much of a monster. You're given probation,

(13:37):
you violate it and are still allowed to be free.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
And what did he do? He killed his own son.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
That is a real problem with whatever system purports to exist.
And I'm surprised that happened in San Bernardino County, to
be honest, you know, that's the kind of stuff I
expect from Los Angeles, but not saying Bernardino or Riverside.

Speaker 6 (14:01):
There is also a story that came out of Channel
five is reporting that Jake Harrow, the father of missing
seven month old Emmanuel, had reportedly confessed to killing the
baby and putting his body in a trash can near
their home. That he was said as much to a
fellow inmate who was actually an undercover informant. That Hairo

(14:22):
told police that he rolled over in bed and accidentally
killed the child before he buried the body. So a
couple of different stories there, and of course the third
story was the original story that we heard. That mom
said that she's changed in the baby's diaper outside of
a Big five sporting good store and is knocked unconscious,
and that the baby's kidnapped.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
So if you roll over a baby in bed and
you're already out on probation, and you violated the probation
from beating up another little girl as a grown man,
stay with me here.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
I know it's hard to exist. I understand that monsters exist, but.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Here we are, and you accidentally kill your son by
rolling over him in bed, and you know that this
means the end for you because you're already in trouble
with this prior. There's a defense there that you hide
the body because you don't want to be accountable for
that it was an accident, But you've got a dead
baby here. But the mother and her lies ruined that

(15:26):
entire plan. If your plan was to pretend this was
an accident and you buried the body to save face,
that's one thing. The mother going out there and saying
somebody approached her they kidnapped the baby.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
They said, oh lah, it was the Big Five that
lie f's both of you.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
It shows that you operated in cahoots, that it was premeditated,
that you both made up these lies.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
They're screwed.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
We're not dealing with MENSA members here, I know.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
I'm just saying that's a real problem for them in
their case. Whatever a public defender signs up for this one.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
The court documents that were filed yesterday when they were
in court for the first time, indicated that the detectives
on this case, both San Bernardino and Riverside detectives, believe
that the baby may have been killed as many as
nine days before the report came in that it was missing,
and that he was taken after again somebody knocked out

(16:24):
mom outside the Big Five.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
The shooter in Minneapolis that fired into the stained glass
of that school church there, we've got an update so far. Unfortunately,
two kids have been killed, an eight year old and
a ten year old. We've got fourteen in critical condition
or fourteen students that were hit. At least two to
seven are the reports in critical condition. A couple of

(16:47):
adults injured as well. But now we're hearing from a
mom who was a fifth grader and an eighth grader
who were inside that mass will tell you what they saw.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
When we come back.

Speaker 8 (16:59):
You're listening to Gary and Shannon on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Tough Wednesday. It's August twenty seventh.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
This was a.

Speaker 9 (17:08):
Deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshiping.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
The sheer, cruelty.

Speaker 9 (17:19):
And cowardice firing into a church full of children is
absolutely incomprehensible.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
Eerie to hear the church bells there behind the police
chief from Minneapolis the.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Story eerie but oddly comforting.

Speaker 6 (17:35):
Shooter opened fire this morning during a mass in a
Minneapolis Catholic school. Question of why it's being called a
school shooting when it was actually a church.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
The church and the.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
School school are the same one place place. But two
children were killed, believed to be eight and ten years old,
Seventeen other at least seventeen others were injured before the
shooter killed himself.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
As you mention the setup for this mass, it was
the first mass of the school year at eight fifteen
this morning there at Anunciation school. The parents and faculty
sit on one side and the kids sit on the
other side of the aisle there and all reports show
that this shooter approached from the side of the building
outdoors on the side of the students and opened fire

(18:21):
through the stained glass. Renee Lego is an Annunciation parishioner
who has a fifth grader and an eighth grader at
Annunciation School. She said her older son thought it was
fireworks or a gas explosion until he started to see
people falling in the church. She said, both my kids
have blood all over them. This person knew this was

(18:43):
our first all school mass of the year. It was
obviously planned. This is the children's mass. This is not
a mass advertised for the public. She got a call
from another parent, drove straight to the school, terrified parents.
As you can imagine, is what she saw. She said,
I got as close as I could. I kept trying
to get a hold of my kids. I didn't know

(19:04):
if they were alive or not. We have a friend
whose son isn't accounted for right now. We don't know
what that means. Cannot make sense of any of this.
Grandparents Denise and Norris Roberts among those rushing to the
local medical center there in Hennepin County. Their grandson Andre

(19:25):
Gunther Junior among the victims. Grandma saying he had just
had a birthday he was excited to get back to school.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
He loved school there remaining they're waiting for a report
on his condition. He was shot in the stomach.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
As we've heard from that medical center, the medical director there.
They had seven people in critical We know an eight
year old and a ten year old were killed in
this shooting, with more than fourteen other children hit. Two
other adults as well the shooter. By the way, we're
getting more information, I will attribute the New York Post

(20:04):
on this. The New York Post is identifying this person
as Robin Westman in his early twenties, that this is
the person who opened fire through the stained glass windows
of the church. There is a twenty minute YouTube video

(20:25):
shared on an account just hours before the shooting. They're
searching now forensic agents to determine if this is in
fact connected to Robin Westman. It's a twenty minute video
and in this video, a hand slowly turns the pages
of a red notebook. The notebook is laid out on
top of what appears to be schematic gun diagrams. Each page,

(20:50):
according to the New York Post, is filled with handwritten
scroll an occasional plume of smoke. Smoke is seen from
the bottom of the screen as the person coughs as
they're turning the pages, and occasionally giggles maniacally. Other videos

(21:11):
show an obsession with mass shooters, including the Sandy Hook killer.
The person if it was this person, Robin Westman, was
not previously known to law enforcement. He was armed with
a rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun this morning, and
videos to YouTube show multiple weapons, including a semi automatic

(21:35):
rifle and a shotgun. Magazines were scrawled with the messages
for the children and killed Donald Trump.

Speaker 8 (21:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
One of them says where is your God? One of
them says suck on this. One of them f word.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
This.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
It's mental illness.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
One of the images also that apparently comes from the
video is with that notebook, and in it is what
appears to be a sketch like a diagram of what
would be a church with an altar with a cross
up at the top of it, the pews, different entrances potentially,
so this guy may have been planning this for some time,

(22:18):
so we do know. The White House has said President
Trump has been in contact with Governor Tim Wattz to
express his concern and any.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Federal help that would be necessary. He has pledged to
help him.

Speaker 9 (22:31):
Out.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
So anything is there? Anything good?

Speaker 5 (22:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (22:38):
We lighten it up with that home buyer story.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Oh yes, people looking to buy a home are asking
if they can sleep over in the house.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
It's like a test drive for a house.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
Bizarre, right, Yeah, because I don't want to sleep in
somebody else's smells.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Well, I'm assuming that it's vacant and it's been clean,
you hope. Yeah, you're right. Sometimes it's not.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Sometimes it's other people's smells and like the people before
them and their smells.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
We bought our house, that can one we're currently in.
I mean we had to walk through when they were
still living there.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
That's right. So which I and you burned the carpet,
We took the car ript a.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Lot of bo ghost in that carpet. We had to
get rid of that.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
And now it's you.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Now it's my bo ghost.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Yeah, it's my spirit. It's a very much a lie
my spirit. Your sure today makes me think of my grandpa.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Oh, I love your pa.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
Okay, Gary and Shannon Wilkinton, you're going through a lot today,
aren't we? Are we?

Speaker 8 (23:39):
You're listening to Gary and Shannon on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Listen it is it is a tough day.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
There are a couple of stories that we have been
following that are important, but top one of them the
school shooting church shooting in Minnesota.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
At least two kids were killed. We'll talk more about
it at the top of the hour.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
Gets some more information also the story out of Riverside
and San Bernardino Counties. The das of both counties and
the sheriffs of both counties held a news conference a
short time ago to talk about the missing seven month
old Emmanuel Horrow and basically laid it at the feet
of his parents, saying that it was likely that dad

(24:23):
killed the baby and made off with the body. Did
something disposed of Emmanuel's body, but has not been forthcoming
about exactly what it was.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
That's why both mom and dad have been charged with
murder in that case.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, unfortunately, it looks like they put it in a
trash can and then it's off to the landfill and
the whole bit.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
So you can imagine what that search would be like.

Speaker 6 (24:44):
Let's cleanse our palates a little bit. My wife and
I in the house that we currently reside, we've been
there for nine years.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Something like that.

Speaker 6 (24:55):
Walked through the house when we were going to buy it.
I guess we were there a couple of times while
the family that was living there previous was still in
the process of moving out, so they had a lot
of stuff, a lot of stuff everywhere, And you have
to do that kind of thing where you kind of
squint your eyes a little bit because you think to yourself,
there's no way I'm keeping that paint, there's no way
that this floor is going to last, and that carpet's
got to go. But if I squint real hard, I

(25:17):
could see what it might look like in the future.
There's a new trend of people who are buying homes
who are test driving finger quotes test driving a house
by sleeping in it. For example, last year, this may
not this from the Wall Street Journal, so it's not

(25:38):
sort of the everyman version of it. But a sixty
five year old guy named Eric listed his Newport Coast estate.
So imagine, already you're talking about ten million if you're
going to call it a Newport Coast a state. In
this case, it was put on the market for eleven sorry,
eleven thousand square foot house was put on the market

(26:00):
for sixty million. Again, not necessarily in every man example,
but there was a couple that watched a video of
the property and they said that they wanted to make
an offer on the house, but before they did, would
he mind if they came and stayed the night in
the house.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
They want to make sure that.

Speaker 6 (26:20):
It was comfortable and that it was the right size
and layout eleven thousand square feet.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Our buddy Justin Worsham, who works in real estate and
has for quite some time, he is our parenting expert.
In fact, joining us later today about parenting, he says,
no one should let someone sleep over in their house
to try it. If they break something, there's a lot
of gray area and who cover those costs? And if
a fire starts yikes, Yeah, the liability there would just

(26:52):
be I'm assuming you would sign, especially with a sixty
million dollar property. There's a lot of things that are
signed waivers, libel, all of that.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Probably both have a team attorney's.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Sixty million dollar estate is a bad is a bad
example of this because I understand that, I understand how
you're gonna want to see how First of all, somebody's
selling a sixty million dollar home, isn't living in it
right now? Okay, they've got four other homes and it's
probably staged and there's no smell whatsoever inside that home,
that's true. I'm more concerned about the somebody who's selling
a you know, four hundred thousand dollars home in the valley,

(27:25):
right and you know you've got grandma's ashes on the
land on the mantle there, and what's that like?

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Is that a thing that's happening?

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Just like every day people wanting to be like, well,
I wonder what the sun how the sun goes down
and that the wind kicks up and what happens?

Speaker 2 (27:41):
You know, what are there noises in the house? And
are there is there creaking? Are there rats?

Speaker 3 (27:45):
Here's one? What does it look like at night?

Speaker 4 (27:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (27:47):
What does your neighborhood look like at night? Well, I
mean they can do that without going into the home,
right we I don't know if this is legal or not. Well,
I don't know if it's legal or not. We had
purchased the home or we're in you know, we're in escrow.
We don't move in until the beginning of April, but
probably mid March. We drove up to the house late afternoon,

(28:09):
just because we'd only seen it in the morning. We
drove up to the house late afternoon. The families moved out.
We know because they already sent us a postcard from
Tennessee or wherever. And uh, we walked into the house.
We went into the backyard and opened the sliding glass
door just on a whim. Hey, maybe it's open. You
had a key to that, hunt, No, we didn't have
a key yet.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Why was it open?

Speaker 1 (28:30):
The house was so the door was broken back then
and you finally fixed it. Not this was the sliding
glass door in the back it's locked now. But that's
really awful that the house it was in escrow was
a line. Yeah, well, I mean we had was there
a conversation that was hut?

Speaker 3 (28:48):
No, I didn't. My god, what is somebody going to do?
I mean, granted, somebody could have moved in.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Had somebody to do their children, hoodlums, hobos. Okay, people
could have gotten in there and torn that place up.
And that's your house now, Okay, yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
I don't think that was going to happen. But okay,
we broke in, broke in.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
You were the hood. Luck We.

Speaker 6 (29:11):
We trespassed because we didn't own the house yet. And
walked around the house now that everything was out of it, right,
and that was the first time we'd been able to
see it.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
So you went around to the back door and just
tried it just to see, just to see, and it
was open.

Speaker 8 (29:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
That happens way too often. It just happened in a
show platonic they go round to the back back doors.
Open that that that couple in the in Encino that
had their home broken and shot and killed.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Back door open. Lock your sliders, people.

Speaker 6 (29:44):
Yeah, lock your sliders. It's hard to tell sometimes when
it's locked, but lock your sliders. The a retired teacher,
did you.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Guys, like, do anything weird in there?

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Totally?

Speaker 2 (29:56):
I knew it.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
Connie Howell is a retired teacher in her seventies holding
a garage sale last fall at her big, four bedroom
house in Texas's Holly Lake Ranch area, about twenty seven
hundred square feet. She's asking for just over five hundred
thousand for this thing, and a local couple expressed interest
in her property, and she said, why don't y' all

(30:22):
bring your family here and spend the weekend.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (30:26):
The listening agent thought that the idea was unconventional but brilliant,
believing that a stay would help the buyer see how well,
the house fulfilled their needs for a bigger space.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
I mean, I guess there is something.

Speaker 6 (30:37):
But if you're willing to do it and have some
sort of an agreement like hey, don't burn the place down.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
If you do, it's on you.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
I think that'd be great if you could work it
into your real estate portfolio, if your agent had the
ability to wrangle that out of a seller. All right,
up next, we do have a little bit of swamp
Watch to get to. We also speaking of how the
aforementioned justin warsom.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
To get to as well.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
