Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I AM six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
Tiffy Hobbs here with you on what should have been
a sleepy Saturday. This should have been a boring, non descript,
lazy Saturday, kind of starting the summer off. But no,
we live in Los Angeles and there's a lot going

(00:25):
on in LA always, but especially in the last twenty
four to forty eight hours. And I'm talking about these
quote unquote militarized style ice raids in and around the
city of LA. These are coordinated immigration raids by the

(00:46):
Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, the DEA, and of
course ice. They started yesterday. We're now on our second day.
Yesterday starting in the Westlake District at a home depo,
also in downtown LA at a clothing manufacturer called Ambiance
or ambiyonce and then also today Lenox, Inglewood, Compton, Paramount,

(01:13):
PARAMOUNTA and Compton seemed to be the epicenter of a
lot of police activity today as a Blackhawk helicopter landed
on a street right there at Atlantic Ana Landra Boulevards
to quell the crowds that had gathered in response to

(01:33):
these anti ice protests. The crowds may be thinning, but
the police and law enforcement presence has absolutely increased to
the point where borders are Tom Hammond has now called
in the National Guard. Tom Holman has called in the

(01:55):
National Guard to LA in response to the protests. We
have a statement from Governor Gavin Newsom that has just
been released. Lots of statements coming out from our city
officials as well, and this statement from Governor Gavin Newsom says, quote,
the federal government is moving to take over the California

(02:17):
National Guard and deploy two thousand soldiers. That move is
purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions. LA authorities are
able to access law enforcement assistant at a moment's notice.
We are in close coordination with the city and county

(02:38):
and there is currently no unmet need. The Guard has
been admirably serving LA throughout recovery. This is the wrong
mission and will erode public trust. That is from Governor
Gavin Newsom. On X as well, Mayor Karen Bass released

(02:59):
at today calling the response to the protesters, calling these
raids these these ice raids completely wrong in her eyes,
and saying that the city of LA will take a
stand against everything. Chief Jim McDonald has spoken out and

(03:20):
said that the LAPD will not collaborate with ICE and
these federal agents or agencies to enforce immigration law. That
then evokes questions around sanctuary cities. A lot of people
are saying, how can this happen in a sanctuary city?
We live in LA where you know, people who are

(03:42):
undocumented are thought, whether you agree to this or not,
are thought to have protections that extend throughout the County
of Los Angeles and the state of California.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
What is going on?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
How could this happen in LA? Well, the fact of
the matter is it can, and it can happen in
any city or state that declares itself a sanctuary for
people who are undocumented, because federal law eclipses state and
then of course city law and ordinances. This is the

(04:19):
federal government that is enforcing President Trump's immigration policies that
were a marker of this administration. This is what President
Trump ran on and people voted for, and now it
is being carried out. It is being enforced across the
country and people didn't think it would come here. People

(04:40):
did not think it would make its way to LA,
but the last two days have certainly shown us differently.
LA may be a sanctuary city, but it is subjected
to following federal law. Again, the borders are Tom Holman
said he plans to send the National Guard to LA
to combat these protests against ICE. He says, quote unquote

(05:06):
to Fox News, we are making Los Angeles safer. Mayor
Bass should be thanking us. She says, they are going
to mobilize. Guess what we are already mobilizing. We are
going to bring the National Guard in tonight. That's what
borders our home and said to Fox News. They're also
he and White House Advisor Stephen Miller calling these protests

(05:32):
and insurrection against the United States. Miller wrote on x
that this was an insurrection against the laws and sovereignty
of the United States. Yesterday, at least forty four people
were arrested on immigration violations. That numbers may have changed.

(05:54):
There's no definitive number as of yet on how many
people in total up until this moment have been arrested
in these ICE raids or who is currently being detained,
but we do know that at least forty four people
yesterday were arrested as well. It is said that they

(06:14):
were arrested kind of without due process. Very interesting. The
ACLU says that individuals suspected quote unquote of immigration violations
and the use of fraudulent documents were arrested and that
these arrests were carried out without judicial doc or warrants.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
That they were carried out without warrants.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
So these coordinated immigration raids have certainly inflamed the landscape
of Los Angeles, and the National Guard has been called
in to quell any unrest that may ensue. And I
just want to again emphasize that yesterday I did drive
through one of the protests centers in downtown LA. It

(07:03):
was peaceful, but after dark there were pockets of people
who came out and disrupted what was a peaceful demonstration
of peaceful gathering. And that seems to be what happens
when these sorts of protests happened. People come out and
use these protests as a springboard for their own interests

(07:24):
and then disrupt however they may the original intent of
the protest with violence and things that then result in
the National Guard being called out to quell quote unquote rioters.
It's interesting, We're going to continue to follow this story.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
KFIAM six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app Tifney
Hobbs here with you, and of course we are following
all of the updates related to these anti ice protests
in response to the coordinated immigration raids around Los Angeles
yesterday today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring at this point,

(08:12):
but we're staying on top of everything, including the fact
that in Coompton Paramount, in that area, a black Hawk
helicopter landed on the street near Atlantic and a landra
boulevards to respond to a crowd that had gathered to
protest the ice raids. A car burned up, the crowd

(08:34):
started to swell, and to mitigate that crowd, to control
what was going on, a black Hawk helicopter was brought
in and weapons were unloaded from it from the Department
of Homeland Security right there in Paramount. I imagine that
was a site to be seen, this helicopter landing on

(08:54):
the street and then weapons being taken off of it
that were in response to that anti ICE raid, those
protests that were happening and have been happening all around
Los Angeles of course, Governor Newsom has released a statement
about these raids. Mayor Bass has released a statement. Chief

(09:18):
McDonell has released a statement. There have been statements galore.
Governor Bass is saying that bringing in the National Guard
will only increase tension. He went on to say that
moving to take over the California or that the federal
government is moving to take over the California National Guard

(09:38):
and deploy two thousand soldiers, and that that move is
purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions. He says that
LA authorities are able to access law enforcement assistance at
a moment's notice. Governor Newsom went on to say that
we are in close coordination with the city and county
and that there is currently no unmet need. He continued

(10:02):
with the Guard, the California National Guard has been admirably
serving LA throughout recovery and that this bringing in the
National Guard is the wrong mission and will erode public trust.
Recovering this story throughout the remainder of this show, and
then Michael Monks will come on at seven to give

(10:23):
us updates and further details.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I do just want to take.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
A quick little shift away from what's happening with these
protests to draw your attention to something positive.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
The Eaglitz have left the nest.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Guys, if you're following Friends of Big Bear Valley and
the Eagle family Shadow, Jackie, Gizmo, Sonny. This foursome that
we've all grown, you know, fallen in love with over
the last few months is these eaglits hatched and grew
up the two eagles. The two babies have in fact left.

(11:00):
And we can't do our full deeper dive segment today, guys,
because we're covering everything that's going on with the protests.
But I will tell you just a quick little tidbit
about Friends of Big Bear Valley. They are the nonprofit
that has brought us this twenty four to seven eagle cam.
It was initially the first of its kind in two

(11:23):
thousand and eleven, and since then around the country and
around the world, there have been twenty four to seven
eagle nest cameras everywhere, but Friends of Big Bear Valley
they are the first, and they started watching the eagles
back in two thousand and eleven, and now they bring
us Jackie in Shadow, the happy couple who live in

(11:44):
that nest high above Big Bear Lake in San Bernardino County.
Jackie has been on camera since October twenty fifteen Reality
Store US Stars. She is where she lived with her
first mate, and that's when Friends of Big Bear Valley
started the live stream of the nest. For years, fans

(12:06):
including myself, watched this eagle family and they've had different
nests in different situations, but it wasn't until this year
that they went completely viral and became reality stars now
the Eagle camera. That was Sandy Steers's idea. Sandy Steers

(12:28):
she started watching the nest years ago from the ground,
back when it was still occupied by current Jackie mom,
Jackie's parents, Ricky and Lucy.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
How cute is that.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Jackie's parents, if you didn't know, were named Ricky and Lucy,
and Sandy Steers said, as she was watching from the ground,
she got to see.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
The little baby grow up. And here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
At the time, Ricky and Lucy, the adults in the
nest in twenty fifteen, you know, they were there doing
their and every month, I believe it was, there were
third graders that would come out and kind of do
an eagle spotting activity. Third graders from the area and
one third grader one month spoted through a scope a

(13:13):
baby and told Sandy Steers and others, there's a baby there,
lo and behold, there was in fact a baby, and
that baby is our Jackie, the Jackie that we all
get to see now. She is the mom of the
two little eaglets.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Over the years.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
The Facebook page, the social media has just ballooned. The
YouTube page where you can see these eglets and the
family in total has almost seven hundred thousand subscribers and climbing,
and at any time there are about fifty thousand people
watching online the live feed of these eagles, and currently

(13:54):
what once was a nest for mom Jackie, dad's shadow
daughters Sonny and Gizmo, is now an empty nest as Gizmo,
the second born eaglet, fledged or flew away from the nest.
This morning around eight point thirty. Both baby eaglets have

(14:14):
been spotted in the area the cameras have caught them.
You can tune in on Friends of Big Bear Valley's
YouTube page to keep up with this eagle family. But
they are absolutely California's newest reality stars. And that's our
very quick kind of abbreviated deeper Dives segment for this

(14:34):
evening again, we are watching, of course, what's happening with
these anti ice protests around Los Angeles County. I am
seeing crowds gathering in different areas of the city, from
Compton to Paramount Inglewood, Downtown LA yesterday, the Westlake District,

(14:55):
the Fashion District, linux Paramount Compton. It's all over and
there are no signs that this is slowing down, especially
as the National Guard has been called in. So we'll
keep abreast of everything that's going on with these protests
and with the law enforcement response to the protests. At

(15:15):
six point thirty coming up, we're gonna be speaking to
Carlos Clemente. He is the host of the very popular,
wildly popular podcast Happily ever Afters, which specializes in telling
love stories. And we're gonna hear some love stories and
what Carlos Clemente, hosts of Happily ever Afters, is doing

(15:37):
next right here on Saturdays with Tiffany kf I AM
six forty Live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
You're listening to KFI AM six forty on demand.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Kf I AM six forty Live everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
Tiffany Hobbs here with you, and we are getting ready
to talk to Carlos Clemente. But before we do, let
me just preface again that we are watching very closely
and will be continuing throughout the night and into tomorrow.
What's happening around the Southland, specifically in LA County in

(16:12):
relation to these anti ICE protests that are responses to
the ICE raids around Los Angeles. He's coordinated immigration raids
issued by ICE, A, Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and
other agencies, and they have been occurring throughout LA since yesterday.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
We're now in day two.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
The National Guard has been discussed is being brought in. Okay,
borders are Tom Holman says they're coming in. The White
House has issued a statement saying that the National Guard
is being brought in. Governor Newsom says there's no need
for that, that the California National Guard is already on
the ground and that that's all that is needed and

(16:56):
that any further addition to the middi gation efforts for
these protests will only cause further uprisings and install distrust
in the community in the city, so that we need
to get on the you know, come to a common
understanding is what Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Bass are

(17:16):
both saying about how to respond to these protests. So
we're going to continue to follow that throughout the evening
right here and through KFI News as well. Now we're
going to talk to Carlos Clemente. He is host of
the wildly popular podcast Happily ever Afters, which chronicles love stories.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
He is, I would say, a love storyteller.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
He takes stories, he internalizes these stories, analyzes these stories,
and then gives them back to the audience with his
own expertise and analysis. And we're going to have a
conversation about what Happily ever Afters is, how Carlos came
into creating Happily ever Afters, and what's next for the podcast.

(18:04):
But first let me welcome Carlos Clemente, esteemed broadcast journalists
himself to KFI.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
Hello, Hello America.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
That voice is probably familiar to people who have listened
to you before.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Carlos. Where might they have heard you in the past.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Well, back in the day, I used to do CBS News.
I worked for a CBS affiliate and during the sometimes
CBS would use me for things and it would air
on another.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Station familiar with that, Yes, that format back.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
In the in the eighties and all through the eighties.
That's where every once in a while, I actually I
have run into people here that have heard me from
back in those days. Oh yeah, it's got a wild.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
I don't like the way you say back in those
days about the eighties. It's that far gone. Don't do that,
don't you dare? Baby, bless you. You can stay and
come on any time.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
All right, Hey, I have three daughters. You know, I'm
in a house full of females.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
You know how to how to talk.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
So I've learned over the years how to do that.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Well, thank you very much for that, and again thank
you for being here and lending us your story about
how Happily ever Afters came about. Now in a land
of ten thousand and that's probably being very conservative ten
thousand podcasts. Why did you choose to take the route
that you did with Happily ever Afters? When with your

(19:39):
sports journalism, with your news background, you could have gone
other ways?

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Why focus on love?

Speaker 4 (19:46):
Well, one not necessarily. I'm I'm not a doctor, Phil,
so I'm not going to sit here and say thank you.
I'm glad you're not that I'm an expert at it,
because I'm not.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
What it was was a challenge. M I've done news,
I've done sports, I've done regular talk shows. Why not
try it. Let's see what I could do with this?
All right? Okay, are my wonderful producer. She brought me
the idea because I had helped with the sports show before,

(20:20):
and when she came back to me with this, Oh,
we don't want to do news and sports, but we
want you to host the show. And when she first
said it to me, I was like, I don't know me,
But as I looked at it, I said, why not?
All right? We I thrive on challenges.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
The more you do something you've never done before, the
more you get engrossed in it, the more you want
to make it work. And that's what I've tried to do.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Doctor Phil wishes he had that sort of sage advice
and delivery of the stories that you choose to feature
on the podcast happily ever afters How do you choose them?
What stands out and makes that story the one that
you decide to focus on?

Speaker 4 (21:12):
Well, I got a great staff that helps me with that,
and you know Laurie, so she helps me find this
and then she pitches them to me and said, what
do you think and whatever, and we look for some
consistency to where First off, this is number one about
this show. With everything going around us, we need something positive,

(21:37):
all right when we when I talk to people, we
don't talk about what's happened in their life, what's wrong
in their life. We talk about what's good. Okay, Okay,
that's that's it. I just want to present positive. We
need positive these days. You know, you listen to the

(22:00):
show and hopefully you came right like, wow, that's that
gave me a good feeling. I did, I did you know?
I didn't know about this. So even even in the
shows we do, I learned something every day and I
hope everybody else does as well.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
You know, Carlos, I have some more questions for you,
and I'd love to keep you for one more segment.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Can we do that?

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (22:28):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (22:28):
Sure?

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Awesome?

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Because you're talking about positive news and and and bringing
positivity to your audience, and while we want to make
sure we continue to focus on that, we do have
to kind of pivot to what's happening locally, which is
not so positive. I'm sure you've been hearing about it.
And let me just remind everyone who's listening. We're talking

(22:50):
to Carlos Clemente. He's the host of the podcast Happily
Ever Afters and we'll continue this conversation on the other
side of the break, but before we do, let me
also just let you know that there are quite a
few protests happening around the city of Los Angeles in
response to these coordinated ice raids in the County of LA.

(23:12):
And because of these protests, because of pockets of unrest,
the National Guard has been called in. That's according to
borders are Tom Holman through the White House.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
I've released a statement.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Governor Newsom has released an additional statement saying that's not necessary.
The California National Guard is already here. So we have
some warring factions. But what is happening is that the
consequence of these protests is that more law enforcement is
being called into the city and up the County of

(23:46):
Los Angeles to respond to these protests that are in
direct opposition to these ice raids around LA. So we'll
continue to talk about those as well.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
You're listening to KFI Am six forty on to.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Ok I AM six forty live everywhere on the iHeartRadio
apps Saturdays with Tiffany. We're here for one more segment,
and then Michael Monks will come aboard. We'll talk to him,
and I'm sure you can glean what he probably will
be talking about on his show a little bit later.
We're also talking to Carlos Clemente, esteemed journalists broadcast journalist

(24:23):
of the news and sports variety, but he has since
pivoted to Love and he's the host of the very
popular podcast Happily ever After. Before we re resume that conversation,
let me just again remind you that we are on
National Guard Watch. The federal government, under President Trump's issue,

(24:44):
has decided that the National Guard will be brought in
to respond to these anti ice protests around southern California.
We saw them start yesterday in the Westlake District downtown
Los Angeles. Today Paramount Compton linux Inglewood. The city seems

(25:05):
to be swelling and because of pockets of unrest, not
unrest overall, because these are largely peaceful protests in most places,
but the pockets of unrest which have happened, The National
Guard has been called in to mitigate crowds and to
help restore safety to southern California. So we'll continue to

(25:29):
watch out for that, and of course, Michael Monks and
URKFI twenty four Hour Newsroom will have ongoing coverage of
what's happening in relation to these ice raids and the
subsequent protests. But now back to Carlos Clemente, You fabulous host,
You happily ever after all things love, tell us one

(25:52):
story that sticks out in your mind that you feel
we should know.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
You know, there's been several I've been surprised of the
people we've been able to have. We've had Margaret Choe, Marshall, Warfield.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Has been Yeah Night Court.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Yeah. Recently we had an Oscar winner.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Who's that?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Monique Oh, the comedian and actress and producer.

Speaker 4 (26:14):
Monique got her and her husband on And the thing
about that particular show was, I didn't know how I
was going to go all right. I didn't know if
I was going to get this super ego or just uh,
she wasn't going to talk, but she opened up to
me and she got emotional, and it took our breath

(26:35):
away because we had like, whoa I wasn't expecting that,
you know, so it was it was very very awesome
the way the way she reacted and when I when
I asked questions, I'm not trying to pinpoint you on something,
i just want to get an honest answer about how

(26:57):
you feel about something, and she broke down. We've got tears, everything,
and it was just very very moving. That was probably
the most moving show that I've done so far, because
I just wasn't expecting that, you know. And then with
Margaret Cho she talked about her dog. Oh, you know,

(27:17):
that was her happily ever afters? So what is a
happily ever afters? It's what makes you feel good, you know. Yeah,
it can be eating eating chocolate.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Every day, whatever brings you joy, whatever, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
What helps you get through beyond everything else that's going on.
And that's all I'm trying to do. It's just show
people that no matter what's going on, there is a
way for you to just focus on what can make
you feel good.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
And you know, you said you're not an expert, but
there is a level of psychology to these sorts of conversations,
and you do have to be present while you are
hearing people's stories. You're seeing an outpouring of emotion, or
you're trying to just get them to be their authentic selves.
What do you do, Carlos, to stay present in those

(28:16):
moments when you're hearing this information or these stories from people.
I listen, and you make good eye contact. I do
have to say that you make really good eye contact.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
And I love that.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Just so you know, I am a psychology minor.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Oh all right, so you.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Have just completely just analyzed me as well. Yes, I
feel very exposed right now.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
No, I've always I mean, what else in before now? People?
I love watching people. I used to go to the
park just to watch people.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
That's not creepy at all, Carlos.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
No, no, no, but you learn a lot. You learn
a lot. Yes, you do eye contact. It's very important.
It is bodyline, which is very important. So when I'm
talking to you, I'm looking in your eyes, and that
tells me what kind of person you are.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
You see me trying to look away at times, I'm
like trying to divert my eyes.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
You know, some people find that intimidating. You know, I've
had people say that, oh, don't do that, don't do that.
All right, eyes are the window to the soul they are.
And when I'm talking to someone, I want to see
their soul. I want to see what they really are.

(29:38):
Happily ever AFTERS. It's about you telling me who you
really are.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Perfect segue, go ahead.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
You know that's what makes it work.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
And it does. It works very well.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
So that's what I try to do.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
It works so well that we want our audience to
be able to participate in these conversations. By why shing
your podcast? Tell everyone, Carlos, where can they find Happily
ever afters? More about you? Social media? How can people
follow you?

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Okay? U n B I keep getting n g L network.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
You b n g O n g O network?

Speaker 4 (30:20):
YouTube?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Okay, I believe we're.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
Going to be on Spotify now and we're on Apple Podcasts,
and I think there's one more I did say YouTube.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
So and that's Happily ever afters is what they will search.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
After ever afters.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
Got it? Got it?

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Because you see some with just Happily er After. Yes,
we're Happily ever afters. And you can look at my name.
My co host is Dorothy Lucy good Day La. Yes,
and it's fun working with her. Okay, and uh, you
know so it's like I said, it's a whole new
experience for me and I I hope when I'm doing

(31:02):
the show that I'm showing a genuine interest in what
I'm doing because it's tough. It is, because like I said,
it's totally different, But I want everybody to enjoy it
and come away smiling.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Carlos Clemente, thank you so much for being on the show.
Happily ever Afters is the podcast. Make sure you look
for the plural of afters. You can find it on
the UBNNGO network, YouTube, Spotify, Apple podcasts, everywhere where podcasts
are and you'll absolutely be able to catch it right
here on featured segments for Saturdays with Tiffany. But before

(31:37):
we go, we have Michael Monks here. Michael, should I
guess what you're talking about? Yeah, what happened to our
lazy Saturdays? I was going to talk to you about
cheese or the cheesecake factory reducing their portion size, but
I guess that's out.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
That's just another disaster in this country.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
News everywhere. We were Happily ever After.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
Well, we'll have to look up that podcast that you're
up a little bit later on.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
Yeah, we're going to continue our coverage of what's going
on with the ice and the protest across Los Angeles.
I was out late last night covering the protest in
Little Tokyo, around Chinatown and all of that, and it
has only gotten crazier today and it's happening in other
major cities across the country. So we're going to be
talking about that as well. I'll be looking for interaction
from the audience. Will want to hear from you all.

(32:17):
What are your fears, what are your concerns, what are
your hopes from all of this? Coming up on Michael
Monk's reports at seven o'clock, you're taking calls. I'm going
to be taking the talkbacks. So yeah, we won't be
able to take calls because it's going to be so busy.
I can feel it. So you've got to have the
iHeartRadio app, open it up, click on that talkback button,
and we will play those. But I've got local official reaction,
We've got the latest from the ground, We've got an

(32:38):
interview with Catherine Barger, Elle County supervisor. So we're gonna
have a lot of stuff about what's going down in LA.
You know, and people were kind of in the talkbacks.
Quite a few talkbacks today, but one of them called
me a sympathizer, and I said, no, no, no, I'm
just reporting the facts. And if you don't like the
facts of the matter, then you don't like the truth.
And the truth is there are pockets of unrest.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Not the entire you.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Know, demonstration Q is filled with unrest and violence.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
There are pockets.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
Some people are sad that this is happening. Some people
are shocked. Some people are happy to see it happening.
This is what they say they voted for. Yeah, so
that's what I want to hear from people in the talkbacks,
you know, and let's have that conversation, because what we
anticipated was going to happen in the second Trump administration,
it's happening right here in Los Angeles this weekend.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Sanctuary City be damned, we shall see. We shall see.
Keep it right here for Michael Monks, and we'll make
sure that we keep up to date right here on
KFI with all things breaking news as we continue to
follow this story of the anti ice protests and the
coordinated ice raids around the Southland.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
It's been a blast.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
I'll see you here, same time, same place next Saturday.
Saturdays with Tiffany. Have a great evening. Be safe out there.
