Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, it's Neil Savandro. You're listening to kfi EM six
forty the four Report on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
How are Yeah, Howdy, Howdy, howdy, Happy Saturday to you.
So I'm on Instagram and my buddy Chef Sam there
at Stone Creek Bistro in Blue Jay there in Lake
Arrowhead area. If you haven't been there, Stone Creek Bistro
(00:23):
a great little place, family owned and operated. You know,
I'm a sucker for that. But Chef Sam, he's this
smart ass of a guy, but a very talented chef,
and you know it's worth, it's worth getting through his
horrible personality to have his food. But he just referred
(00:44):
to my shop at home or I build and crete
stuff as my nerd shack, and I can't stop laughing.
I gotta get a sign that says nerd shack because
that's very funny. Anyways, on that note, by the way,
if you want to find out what goes on in
my nerd check at home, you can join me on
(01:06):
Instagram at Savco Industries. That's saa vco Industries dot com.
And that's my art stuff that's like things that I
create in my nerd check and I like building things,
like creating things and getting back to some of my
roots of creativity for twenty twenty five, starting to put
(01:28):
pencil to paper again, start drawing, doing some illustrating, going
back to graphics and design, and just having fun building
that stuff up. So that's what that is for Savco
saa vco Industries dot com. That's the name of a
small business I have that makes promotional things and props
(01:50):
and stuff like that. It's not really open to the
public at this point, or the general public, I would say,
but I just started putting stuff up on that because
I had the social media. I had the Instagram account
already and I just wanted to start utilizing it. So
if you like art or pop culture like star Wars
and props and movies and building and creating things, it's
(02:10):
a place to gather. I share some ideas there and
I'd love to hear from you if you have some
as well, So do that, and then you can also
follow me at fork Reporter on Instagram at fork Reporter
on Instagram as well, because that's where you know food
stuff is. And am I having a blast there and
I'm it's I'm close to hitting a milestone there, so
(02:32):
I could probably use another thirty people to help my
OCD from exploding. But anyways, Costco, there's a lot of
phaves at Costco. I'd love me some Costco executive member.
Not bragging. I tease my wife because my name is
on the executive account and I was telling her that
she technically I'm the executive but she can come with me.
(02:55):
I do love me some Costco. I know Bill Handle
does as well. But springs here and you know what's
going on. There's the Amazon Big Spring Sale, so if
you're a Prime member, you are dipping into that. What
people are referring to as Prime Day two point zero
goes through March thirty, first coming up their Big Spring Sale.
(03:16):
And Amazon has some things that we all love at
Costco and they're cheaper than Costco right now if you
are a Prime member, So it's crazy. Amazon's giving Costco
for a run right now. And if you're restocking paper towels,
adding to your meal prep game, whatever it is, you
can find these great prices right now. So here's a
(03:39):
list of ten deals you want to add to your
cart as soon as possible. Again, if this is your
jam down powerwash, you gain original dish their original dish
spray thirty percent off. So this is to help you
with scrubbing right hate scrubbing dish spray, total game changer

making your daily cup of coffee filters will do the job.
(04:20):

of cups. Better deal than Costco's four hundred pack. Get
on that Tea lux one hundred count green tea bags
fifteen percent off. So if you're not a coffee person,
these organic green tea bags are aware, you should be
looking one hundred individual wrapped bags for nearly half of
(04:44):
what you pay for the Kirklan version, already saving you money.
They have a forty piece what is this? U jy
scares JS cares. I recognize the product, I put the name.
I don't forty piece glass food store or you set
twenty six percent off. Meal prep lovers, you got to
(05:04):
get on this one. It is for you. This set
has all the sites you need, sausage, salad, leftovers, you
name it. Cost less than the Costco similar thirty eight
piece version, so big bang for your buck there. Amazon
Basic three hundred sandwich bag. We go through those a
lot here for all kinds of things. Sixteen percent off.
(05:27):
If you need snack bags, These Amazon Basic ones are
perfect size, super budget friendly. Even if you double up
on these, you're still going to come out ahead of
the Costco price. Here. Good cook three piece cookie sheet set.
These are low walls big sheets thirteen percent off. Your
cookie sheets have seen better days. We all have those
(05:49):
that have. They look like you know, what's a good
analogy here? Neil, I don't know. You know. Analogies are
like any who got black cook on them, old oil,
whatever it is. You want to grab a new set
normally about the same price as Costcos right now. They're
a few bucks less money you can use for more cookies.
(06:11):
Twenty four pack kitchen sponges twenty two percent off. Scrub
a dub a dub dooze dishes. Two sided sponges, you know,
the drill soft on one side that's scrubby on the other.
Perfect for MESSI dinners six bucks cheaper than the Costco
version Amazon basics two undercount trash bags. Who doesn't need
(06:32):

(06:54):
paper towels. They're fifteen percent off. They go very quickly.
These things stock up strong absorbent pack. It's Amazon's own
brand now it's cheaper than Kirkland. So really, Amazon's coming
for Costco right now until the thirty first of this month.
So if you are a prime member, get in on
(07:15):
those particular deals. Stick around more to come.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
You're listening to the Fork Report with Nil Savedra on
demand from KFI AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
How are you happy Saturday? It's your pal, Nils Veadra.
How you doing? I suppose I'm not everybody's pal, you know.
I don't trust people that don't have some enemies, but
the vitriol sometimes, oh my gosh, you got it. We
should do an entire show sometime on KFI where we're
(07:45):
just reading hate mail or the things people say about us.
It is listen. I'm not saying that we aren't all
pieces of crap on the air. Here's that could very
well be. That's a total option, but some of them
are just hilarious, or people may hear the things you say,
or my favorite is you can listen to the same day,
(08:07):
the same hour of talkbacks that people send. If you
don't know what a talkback is, you can go on
the iHeartRadio app and there's a little red button with
the icon of a microhne on it and you can
press that. It gives you thirty seconds to send a message,
and it will it will send it to the person
who's on the air at the time, or the hosts
that are on the air at the time. So it's
(08:31):
it's pretty hilarious because you'll get one going, you stupid
conservative pig, you nazi scuff and the next the very
next one will go, I can't listen to you anymore,
you're so liberal. It's and it's you're like, it's the
same it's like the same person on the air and
someone hates them because they're conservative, and someone hates them
(08:52):
because they it's comedy comedy. Any who, speaking of that,
if you want more, Geary in Shannon are friends that
can be heard Monday through Friday from nine am to
one pm. They drop their new podcast every Saturday, the
Weekend Fix. So you can get more Gary and Shannon, more, more,
(09:14):
more Gary and Shannon just by going to KFIM six
to forty dot com, look at the podcasts and look
for the Gary and Shannon Weekend Fix. Today's episode dropped
earlier and it is about AI relationships. I believe it's
gonna be kind of a free for all, so you'll
get things that you won't get on the air, which
always promises It's like you say, unfiltered Shannon, you think, well,
(09:37):
what if this has been the the filtered one? Seriously,
AnyWho check that out? Won't you? All? Right? Who doesn't
want breast milk ice cream? Don't you dare say it?
Robin knock it off? Everybody, Just calm down. Breast milk
(09:58):
flavored ice cream. It's a real thing. A pair currently.
Uh you know what. I know I've tasted breast milk.
But here's the thing, I don't know when or under
what circumstance I think we all have well, no, I
mean well, yes, I mean I was pretty small there. Yeah,
(10:23):
but I'm talking about gosh, and I don't know I'm
gonna get myself in trouble. I don't know what the
circumstance would be.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
I don't know if this is appropriate.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I don't know now if you I'm trying. I try
and be honest and open about things, but now I
don't know. I just know, like I'm I remember it
being kind of sweet.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
It is sweet.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
How do you know what's the protein count on? That?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
It's really really good health benefits. My best friend after
she had a baby, would make us well when she
was getting sick. She'd a shout of her breast milk
and make her husband do the same. And I've tasted
it a few times too, and it's it's good, healthy stuff.
It's not weird.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Did it make you feel better? It? Did? It? Did?
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Can you lose weight?
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Oh? I don't know. How would you lose weight on
breast milk? How I'm saying that it's so perfectly balanced?
Could be? Okay, So wait a second, Okay, so I've
tasted breast milk. I do not know the circum I'm
trying to think, but oh, there is no way out
of this one. Nope, it wouldn't be my wife's. I'm
(11:34):
discounting my mother's because it was too long ago. What
circumstance would I have would have had to have been
a friend that I was close with who said, hey,
you want to try it?
Speaker 4 (11:45):
I mean, did you lose a bet? No?
Speaker 1 (11:49):
I'm open to things. I like to live. I mean
what I'm saying, did you win a bet? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Who says lose? What about you? Andrew? Yay? Nay? No?
Speaker 4 (12:00):
I mean when I was born. Probably, I'm okay. In
all these years, I don't think I've I've had a
moment where it's like, hey, breast milk, anyone want any like?
I just it hasn't popped up in my life.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Oh okay, Well you gotta get out more. Uh Robin, Hello?
Is this not? No? Thank you?
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Probably just as much as Andrew.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Wait wait, wait, wait a second. You like the ladies, right,
doesn't mean I like the milk.
Speaker 4 (12:32):
I suppose if like Costco had like free samples, I
would try it.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
But wow, we all would try it. If it was
free samples at Costco. We wouldn't even know what it was.
Will you just say protein on it and people go, oh,
it's protein. I gotta that's the expensive stuff. Okay, so
lesbian's not into breast milk. Interesting. I've had it. That's interesting.
(12:57):
Can't really figure remember where, but it's in ice cream.
Now I'll explain what the hell that is. Because we
I went down a path of me tasting it not
knowing where, and then when it came out of my mouth,
I'm like, in what circumstance, sir, would that have happened?
Because yeah, I wouldn't have been my wife. I think
(13:23):
a friend who was pregnant or had a child, we
must have been close, said hey, you want to try this?
And why I would say yes, I don't. I don't know.
As you go, I can't go anywhere. I well, don't
tell me because your other host has put it in food. Wait,
who doctor Whinney Walsh put her breast put her breast
(13:48):
milk in food when she had people over and she
was cooking. Now they knew about it, is the story
I heard. Otherwise that's as salt. So you weren't invited
to dinner Whitney that you know what? Maybe you wouldn't
Maybe you wouldn't need skills in a relationship if you
weren't giving your breast milk out to everybody. Maybe it
(14:09):
just happened like love happens. All right. I don't know
where the hell we went, but we'll strap a bit
in its mouth and see if we can't wrangle it
back into focus when we return on the Fork Report.
Breast milk flavored ice cream a real thing. I will
explain when we come back, and it's not an April
Fol's joke.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
You're listening to the Fork Report with Nil Sevadra on
demand from KFI.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Am happy to be back from vacation in Italy with
the family, went to Handle's wedding, stood by him as
his quotes best man. I'd like to see that list.
How many people were crossed off? Before you get to
me guessing Andrew Caravella couldn't do it. Kayla was busy,
Robin was busy working. Got down to me. That's all right,
(14:58):
doesn't hurt?
Speaker 4 (14:59):
I mean, you do you do the show with him?
Maybe you were the first, I don't know, so he
didn't have to ask anybody else.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
You know, I started as his intern over thirty years ago.
Oh my gosh, does he remember that? Oh, yes he does, Yes,
he does quite well. He's a pain in the ass,
doesn't always please me. Well that came out weird, but yeah,
sorry about that. It's a a little rusty, little rusty,
(15:27):
still a little jet lagging. I'll be filling in for
Bill Handy Handle Monday through Friday this coming Monday through Friday.
Please join me there, be proud to do that nice lineup.
You've had mo Kelly and you've had Chris as well,
and I'm happy to be jumping in that mix for
the next week. I think Handle's going to try and
call in the last Thursday or Friday o the week.
(15:50):
We'll chat with him as well. A lot to cover
in that arena. I think I'm gonna talk about logic.
There's been a we dumped logic and reason and thinking
from the school curriculum, and I think it's probably one
of the root causes of where we stand today. And
I don't know how I'm gonna formulate it. I know
sounds a little boring, but I promise you I'll do
(16:12):
my best for it not to be boring. Get into
that AnyWho. Also, I put up a picture from Rome,
known for mosaics right, Rome goes back a long time ago.
I found this, maybe I don't know, three and a
half four inch round mosaic on a wall next to
a restaurant in Rome, and I'd love for you to
(16:33):
tell me what you think it means. I posted what
I think it means. It's not on my food one.
It's on my art, my promo stuff, props, events, you know,
stuff that I do outside of Radio one. So join
me there on Instagram at Savco Industries SAA v COO Industries,
(16:54):
Savco Industries. You tell me it's the last post, my
most recent post. Rather you tell me what you think
that mosaic is saying, yeah you think, Okay, don't say
anything I think I know.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
I want to comment.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Okay, go ahead comment, but check it out. I was
laughing and I'm like, what do you suppose that means?
But you can check that out Savco Industries SAA v
COO Industries on Instagram. That's my newest feed. And this
is all about art and pop culture and things like that.
(17:33):
It just is separate from the food stuff, although some
of that ends up in here. Disneyland, Star Wars, whatever
is on my mind creatively, all right, check that out.
Breast milk flavored ice cream. So this is weird baby
related news. I guess Freda that's the brand that brings
you all things baby mom fertility. They just announced breast
(17:54):
milk flavored ice cream. Not an April fool's joke. You'll
still soon be able to a pint of ice cream
that tastes like sweet, creamy breast milk. Why do I
feel dirty saying that? Anyways, Frieda loves a bold move
and apparently they thought we all secretly, somehow wanted to
(18:16):
know what breast milk tastes like, but as ice cream,
so they dropped the news on Instagram. The Internet freaked
out and they were divided, because that's what the in
the social media of the world does. Some people are like, Yeah,
I love this, let's do it here for the chaos
and the craziness. Others are like, how did multiple people
(18:36):
green light this thing? So it's not the first time
someone's tried breast milk ice cream. I did not know this.
Back in twenty eleven, a London shop called ice Creamist
made a version called baby Gaga, using actual donated milk,
but that idea went away pretty fast after safety concerns
(18:58):
shut it down. I mean, it's potentially a biohazard. I guess,
so Frida's version is made, Is it made with real
breast milk? No, not exactly. They haven't shared the full
ingredient list yet, but the company says the ice cream
is a pitch perfect representation of breast milk, so it's
not actually being from, you know, the bu malicious stuff.
(19:24):
Similar nutrients omega threes, lactose, vitamins, BD, iron, calcium, zinc,
loss of water for hydration, and it's inspired by breast milk,
is what they're saying, not made from it, and it's
all part of a larger campaign to promote their two
in one manual breast pump. Frida's known for going big
(19:44):
with their marketing. They had some postpartum ad it was
banned from the Oscars in twenty twenty. I guess it
was being too graphic, so it's kind of von brand
with them. Ice cream won't be available right away, but
they says it's due in about nine months. B seriously,
but if you're curious you want to see what the
(20:05):
fuss is about, you can sign up on their website
to be notified when it drops. If you want to
be tempted to try some of this, or if it's
a hard pass for you, whatever it might be. Now,
you know, all right, stick around. We'll talk to Tiffany
when we come back. Who's coming up at five? So
go now where the forker port. Neil Sevader here, Happy
(20:26):
to be with you back from vacation. You've been listening
to the fork Report. You can always hear us live
on KFI AM six forty two to five pm on
Saturday and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app. Happy
to be back from vacation with you. Loved Italy. It
was magical. My wife and I got sick. And my
wife has those weird I don't know wife mom jeans,
(20:49):
not the ones you wear. But you know she gets
sniffles here and there, allergies maybe, but she doesn't get
really sick. I never I he don't typically see her unwell.
At least it knocks her down. And so I got
sick first, like the moment we landed the first day
(21:10):
or something or the second day, got sick, got the flu,
I think, and then my wife got it the next day,
so when we were a day behind each other. But
even with that we had a fantastic time. It was
our son whose eight was his first international trip, second
time on a plane, and he just he loved it.
(21:33):
He just loved it and it was it was just
just amazing, wonderful food and stuff like that. I'll be
posting some pictures and alike at FOURK Reporter. You can
see him there. And to those who were now following
on my other account at savco Industries SAA v COO Industries,
(21:56):
I was laughing at some of the responses because I
posted a little tiny mosaic that I saw on the
side of a building in Rome, and some of your
responses are cracking me up. So go there and tell
me what you think that it it says or what
it's telling you. Some people are saying, don't spit, don't vomit,
(22:19):
don't drink. You tell me, go take a look at
this little mosaic and you tell me you can find
it at s A A v COO Industries on Instagram.
That's my kind of my art and stuff that I
like to do outside of radio. There, Oh Tiffany, oh Neil,
how are you, my dear.
Speaker 5 (22:40):
Welcome back to reality. I am well, how are you?
I'm glad you're feeling better.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
I'm I'm good, Thank you, I am. I have a
little wheeze. And people that were listening closely, I.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Don't disclose your personal information.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Handle, I mean like in my chest.
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Oh oh, okay, different kind of wheeze. No, I thought
it was an Italian slang for something I didn't.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
No. No, you know, I'm sure that's you know, incredibly
disappointing as well. But that is, uh, this is actually
in my chest.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
Oh, located a little higher about.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
It's just just like it just hasn't completely cleared. Still
have a little bit of that cough or what have you.
But yeah, if you're going to be sick, being in
Italy sure takes the edge off. And I'll tell you that, Yeah,
a fantastic trip. Have you been.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
No, I have not been.
Speaker 5 (23:32):
And while you were talking about it, I was listening
to the beginning of your show and you were talking
about sauces and authenticity and I was standing at my
cabinet looking at my bottle of Ragu, starting to feel
a little envious, and I wanted to ask you, Neil,
for those of us who go the RAGU prego route
with our bottled sauces, is there a way that we
can dress them up to make them feel a little
(23:55):
bit more authentic than store buck for four.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Dollars loutely and I highly encourage this. The best thing
you can do is add fresh herbs. So in the
case of pasta sauce, I would probably ribbon cut some
lovely fresh basil and sprinkle that in there. Maybe add
some high end olive oil to it. And you can
(24:19):
add fresh you know, freshly cooked or browned meats. We'll
add to it as well. If you're going to go
the canned route or the jar route, I would highly
recommend Raos. It can be expensive, but you can find
it on sale, sometimes at Costco, other times at Von's
(24:43):
or the like. You can find it on on sale.
You can get like you two for one or something
like that. But REOs is a sup superb jarred sauce.
But you can always do that, and you can add
some fresh at breast canned uh can tomatoes. Can tomatoes
(25:04):
are fantastic, okay, and so you can add some of
those too there, And yeah, you can. You can judge
it up for sure, but fresh herbs will always make
something taste homemade or more more fresh like that.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
That's what we're talking about on today's show.
Speaker 5 (25:21):
Just how to dress up your bottled store body spaghetti sauce.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
I've done. I've actually done segments on that very same thing,
my friend. But I know you have more important things
to talk about and shooing up your charred sauce kinda.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
You know you should have probably stayed in Italy. Neil.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
La is falling apart. We know that it's falling apart
at every seam, it seems. But there's an image makeover underway.
Mayor Bass Sheriff McConnell is, they're both looking into.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Revamping the image of LA. So I'll talk about Yes,
oh Lord is right.
Speaker 5 (25:56):
I'll talk about some of the strategies that they are
now employed to be able to make LA look and
feel safer and better than we all know it to be.
At five thirty, we're gonna talk to a buddy of mine.
He was recently issued a lifetime ban from all Madison
Square Garden associated venues and Madison Square Garden in New
(26:18):
York because he made a T shirt a few years
ago that kind of held the owner of the Knicks
accountables for some actions, and so the owner now does
not like that T shirt and banned Frank William Miller
Junior from all of those venues for life. We have
Frank on to give that backstory and to talk about
(26:40):
kind of the implications of surveillance and facial recognition. It's
a little creepy and we all should be four warned.
It's a great cautionary tale. He'll be on with us
at five thirty and then we all by now have
talked about the War Bros. Group chat on Signal of
course at nauseum, but we're gonna look at it from
a different angle. We're going to hear from a cybersecurity
(27:04):
expert about what the signal app is, Is it in
fact as dangerous as it's being portrayed to be, and
what should we be looking forward to in the future
when it comes to these sorts of group chats and
information sharing, as as well as others who have been
held accountable other civilians for these supposed leaks of sensitive
(27:28):
and classified information. So big fun show, no breast milk allowed.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Oh well, are available? I want to see this T
shirt that sounds like one hell of a T shirt.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
It's a fantastic T shirt. I just put it up
on my Instagram at tiff hobbs on here, it's in
my stories. It's also on Facebook there under my account.
You can go see it and see just what has
James Dolan uh, you know, has his handies and a bunch.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
You're listening to The Fork Report with Nils of eight
on demand from KFI a M six forty
Speaker 5 (28:10):
Mm hmm
