(00:00):
It's k IF. I am sixforty and you're listening to the Conway Show
on demand on the iHeartRadio app DingDoong. It's Monday, just getting back
from that Electric Disney or Daisy Carnival. So I'm just I'm exhausted. I'm
exhausted. You know a weekend?Did you go all three days? I

(00:24):
didn't go Fridays. I was gambling, so went Saturday and Sunday. And
the traffic getting out of there lastnight was unbearable. Nice, unreal.
But a lot of people are alot of shrooms, a lot of acid,
a lot of wine. I noticed, and it was just cool.
It was just a cool deal.Just my hit still pounding though with that,
you know that beat music, boomboom boom, boom boom boom,

(00:46):
and all I see now my eyeshave been and been permanently. I'm altered
with you know lights, there's lasersand neon lights, and man, it
gets you crazy, all right.Steve Gregory joy says, always nice to
see you, buddy. What's up, buddy, you're on the phone.
I'm just checking something here that mysister sent me. I'm sorry, that's

(01:08):
okay. Well, I just didn'tknow how long you were going to go
on? I just was catching upon something. Sorry about that. It's
okay. How's she doing? She'swell, thank you. She sent me
a funny cartoon. I'll show youa break. Oh is that right?
I like that? Yeah, funnycartoons, I'll show you break. You
know. I had a friend ofmine who went to prison for three years.
Strange and no guy that locked upwent to prison for three years.

(01:32):
He got out and the first thinghe sent me was a like a cartoon,
and he goes, hey, howabout this? And I said,
buddy, I got that three yearsago. You got a little behind.
You got to catch up, poorguy. You got to catch up,
buddy. This is a little bitrelated to what you and I were talking
about during the break. Oh okay, all right, excellent, al right,

(01:52):
I like that chili cookoffs. Yeah, all right. So Steve Gregory,
you're talking about this P Diddy call. I saw the tape that came
out of the weekend and it wasnot he was breaking news on all this
news stations. Was the top story? Are you talking about the Friday surveillance
or the Sunday No, the Sundayapology, Sunday apology? Yeah, so

(02:12):
I sent Steph the audio. Ithink Steph has it available now, so
if you want unless you he transferredover to you. But I cut out
a lot of the large gaps inthere just for compression for on air.
You want to play it, yeah, go for it? All right,
Here we go Sean Diddy Combs, right or what does he call him?
Stuff? Now? Just did hereally don't know? Combs? We're going
by Sean in quotes Diddy Combs. That's we're here we go. So Sean

(02:36):
Diddy Combs is saying that it wasa very dark time in his life.
He also said his behavior in thatvideo was inexcusable. I take full responsibility
from my ashes in that video. This is the video Sean Diddy Combs is
referring to. It shows a musicexecutive physically assaulting his then girlfriend Cassie Ventura
in a Los Angeles hotel back intwenty sixteen. In the silent video obtained

(03:00):
by CNN, Ventura is seen walkingdown the hall, followed by Combs,
who then drags and kicks Ventura inthe elevator bank. I was disgusted then
when I did it. I'm discussingnow went and I saw it out for
professional help, kind of going totherapy, going to rehad had asked God
for his mercy and grace. Thereyou go, and it went on a

(03:22):
little longer. But people are,uh, there's nobody on the fence here.
You're on one side of the otherwhere he didn't apologize enough, or
he made it all about himself, right. And I think one of the
biggest things I saw pretty quickly becauseit came out yesterday morning. And I
do have the complete audio, hisaudio, clean audio that I sent staff,
so he should have that if youwant that. But it really comes

(03:45):
off, according to Cassie Ventura's attorney, is very self serving. It's they
said, they really that he reallymade it about him, right. He
doesn't even refer to her name inthe video, and a lot of say
her name. A lot of peoplesaid that, But more than two hundred
and sixty thousand comments on that poston his Instagram account alone, and at

(04:09):
least the ones I thumbed through agreat majority of them are against him.
You know, I was listening tomo Kelly because mo Kelly is he either
worked with them or knew him,or knew people that knew him. And
he said this guy's been getting withof us three years. Well, I
mean when I was talking to someof the people that have been covering the
case back East, they're referring tohim as the Jeffrey Epstein of the rap

(04:31):
world. Well not only that, but I guess the me Too movement didn't
hit the music industry like it didTV and film, no, Because yeah,
I mean, there was a lotof power and intimidation, not so
much on the Epstein side as muchas there is ever going to compare it,
I guess sure, But on theside of Dinny, from what I

(04:54):
had been told, was that therewas this very very deep, dark,
sort of like intimidation power that hehad over people because he had the power
to make them stars and had thepower to grant them success. Epstein wasn't
really in that kind of a positionas much, and there had been some

(05:15):
sort of speculation that and this wason the part of investigators that you know,
it's a lot like these sex traffickingallegations. A lot of times you
don't hear about the sex trafficking formany, many years because these individuals,
most of whom are young women, are held against their will. They're sort
of conditioned into this sort of lifestyleand they're either too afraid to escape or

(05:38):
they have no means to escape orto tell someone what's going on. And
that's kind of what happened in thecase of Ventura. Here she no telling
how long had gotten put up withthis abuse. Oh yeah, I preminded
her it could have been ten years. Well, they've met in five,
that's when they first started to orthat's when she first signed to his label.
In five they started be romantically involvedin O seven and then this video

(06:03):
was from twenty sixteen, the onethat was released on Friday by CNN,
Right, that's the one that heoffered fifty thousand dollars for the and that's
the interesting things. That's the allegationnow, but there's been no evidence of
that. And if anyone was paidfifty thousand, I can't believe that the
hotel would have accepted fifty thousand. Is an official business entity. I think

(06:25):
someone inside, maybe the security department, might have accepted money. And the
b story here that hotel's out ofbusiness. I think it's been relocated and
rebranded Intercontinentals still around, but Ithink it's a different location. I think
there's something different there now, becausethat's odd for a hotel in central city
go out of business. Well,I think it relocated because Intercontinental is very

(06:47):
I think it's in Beverly Hills. Now, Hey, you're doing something on
your show or your weekend or something'scoming up where you need college students.
Yeah, So we are creating anew show called Studio six forty and it's
good a good title. Yeah,it's kind of a younger, hip er
sort of lab, if you will. And the idea is imagine sort of

(07:09):
Meet the Press McLaughlin group or orthe Bill Mahers show, Real Time with
Bill Maher. But it's just allcollege journalists. And what we're doing is
we're putting a you know, aroundtable together with college journalists and whether they're
in the TV program, radio program, newspaper, podcasting, anyone in communications
are broadcasting. You can just goto cafiam six forty dot com and slash

(07:31):
studio and you have all the informationthere and how to apply and how to
submit. And we want to startgetting the show up and running and what
is it going to start. Wewant to get started in the next few
weeks. We've been working on thisthing for a while and it's just you
know, right now with graduation andstuff. We know, ever, when
it's a little preoccupied, I getit. But all right, So KFI
AM six forty dot com, slashStudio, slash Studio. All right,

(07:54):
buddy, giantstud Thanks pal, allright, good to see you. Ten.
I don't know that's cop talk.I was gonna say ten seven.
Yeah, we go right tense,No, that's CB talk. Whatever we
got ever, all right, GiantStudd was not your hand on and CB
Giant Studd wasn't that young. You'relistening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from

(08:16):
KFI AM six forty. Evidently there'sa lot of money hanging out here somewhere.
I've not seen it, Crosher,Where do they keep the money around
here? It's upstairs? In nouh, you know though, I know
where they used to keep it.Is that right? Like Teddy cash?
Yes? Really? How much didthey have when I last thought? It

(08:37):
was about fifteen hundred? That's it? Oh that was a while ago.
Okay, all right, but that'swild man. Nobody carries cash anymore,
No, it's wild. I wentto the fair this weekend with Jen on
Saturday, and I took out cashbecause I figured I'm just gonna spend what
I got cash wise, seventy fiveto eighty percent of places that don't even
take the cash. So is thatright? Were at the La County Fairy.

(09:01):
Wow, man, that's wild.I don't think that shouldn't be legal.
I mean it really legal. Tender. Yeah, yeah, I mean,
you know, people don't have creditcards or don't have ATM cards,
then it sort of excludes them fora lot of things. I went to
Las Vegas years and years and yearsand years ago, maybe twenty years ago
with a guy named Dan Finder,a beautiful man, friend of mine for

(09:24):
a long long time, good friendswith Sam Ruben by the way. We
went to Las Vegas and we getthere. It's myself, Jason Sulaco,
Dan Finder, Doug Steckler, andwe fly there together. It's a sort
of like a work deal. Butwe're going to stay the weekend and we
get into a cab. But we'reall going to split the cab from the

(09:45):
airport to the strip, you know. So it's five bucks each. And
so he said, hey, fivebucks each, let's split a cab.
No problem, no problem. SoDan Finder pulls out the money that he
brought to Vegas with him for theweekend. Eight dollars. Eight dollars,
Like he wasn't planning on like pullingout any money or nothing like that,

(10:09):
or I don't know what the planwas. But he had eight dollars,
so he spent the five on thecab. Then he had three for the
weekend. So you got to hitearly on the slots or you know,
blackjack or craps or something. Yougot to hit hard and you got it
early. Man. Well, evenI couldn't believe that eight dollars. I

(10:31):
mean, he stopped everything. Everybody'sgoing, wait, what yeah, eight
eight bucks. I couldn't believe it. But nobody has cash anymore. My
wife doesn't have cash. My daughter, I try to teach her, you
know, to carry money, andshe's pretty good at that, you know,
because you never know if you're gonnabe out there. She always has
Apple pay and that's one thing. But if your phone doesn't work or if

(10:52):
something happens, you need cash.Cash can make a lot of things better
when when you're in a problem, throw money. At a lot of situations,
you should have cash on you,all right. I saw I was
watching NASCAR from the electric guy. What is it called Electric Daisy Carnival,
and I'm a big NASCAR fan.I was one of the few NASCAR fans

(11:15):
at the Electric Daisy Carnival's surprising.Yeah, in my tent watching Nascar,
having a you know, non alcoholicbeer is a lot of fun, pretty
fun guy book. Yeah, that'san old time magazine. But I noticed
that everybody's punching everybody. Now,you know there's that that on the metro
train or the line. Everybody's punchingeach other. People used to people didn't

(11:39):
always go for fisticuffs first. Noweveryone's going everyone's punching. You got this
p Diddy tape that came out.You have the NASCAR over the weekend where
these two drivers got into it andthen after the race they they approach each
other and it was a game on. I think everybody's pissed. You know,
we talked about that last week.Everybody is anger as hell, and

(12:01):
I don't know what it's from.I guess you know, inflation has a
big, you know, big partto do with it. Nobody has any
money. Everyone lives sort of hourto hour. You know, you always
used to when you were you know, twenty thirty years ago. You may
have had a plan for your career, your life, get married, have
kids. You might have like athirty forty year plan. Now everybody's plan

(12:22):
is you know, ten minutes. What are you doing in ten minutes?
You know, nobody has Nobody haslike a ten year or twenty year plan
anymore. It's in gratification man, right. You know in Japan, uh,
it's not unusual for companies to havea two hundred year business plan.
Is that wild? They have atwo hundred year business plan here? We

(12:43):
just you know, you go tothe store and you hope it's open.
You know, next time you go. Never know. But the fight it's
happening everywhere, and NASCAR is thelatest. The fight after the race.
Yeah, Ricky Stenhouse Junior and cowBusch, so number two. Ricky Stenhouse
was turned by Kyle Busch and rightaway afterward Stenhouse said, you know what,

(13:07):
you guys need to stick around tosee what happens after the race.
Right after this race, big media, here we go. Followed Stenhouse to
his holler, and then Ricky Stenhouseand Kyle Busch went at it. Like
a lot of times in NASCAR,pfighters pushing and shoving and not much happens.
But this thing got serious and thisis what's gonna be talked about the

(13:28):
twenty twenty four NASCAR All Star Race. Joey Logano's nomination, but it's going
to be remembered by the big fightby the haller between Kyle Busch and Ricky
Stales Junior. We'll see how thisplays out in the next few races between
these two. We'll see if thatcarries over onto the track. Chris Weaver
with that incredible video that right there, he was right in the minue.

(13:50):
And let's see where they're gonna bedoing here. Okay, all, let's
se where they're gonna be next hereon Sunday. Let's see here. Where
are they going to be next?Let's look at the NASCAR calendar. Here,
they were just at the All StarRace. Where was that where Joey
Logano just won. That was atthat was in North Wilkesboro Speedway. Where's

(14:15):
that North Carolina? All right? Then we have the Coca Cola six hundred
coming up. That's the Charlotte Speedway. That's the last one in May,
and then in June we've got Illinoisthat'll start off. Then you have the
Toyota Save mart three point fifty atthe Sonoma Raceway. Is that. I
think that's in California, Sonoma Raceway. I don't think they're coming back to

(14:37):
Ontario there. I think last yearwas the last race at Ontario. Then
they're going to be in Iowa,New Hampshire, Nashville, Chicago, Chicago
Street Race that should be pretty cool, the Pocono Raceway, Indianapolis, and
then in August Richmond, Richmond, then Michigan, then Daytona, then in

(14:58):
Florida, and then in September there'sone at Darlington Raceway and then the playoffs
start Atlanta and Watkins in New Yorkand then Bristol Motor Speedway, which is
the big one in Tennessee. Butthey're not coming to Ontario anymore. I
used to enjoy that obviously, seeanything past the one that you brought up
with Sonoma. It's the last periodfor California this year. I think that's

(15:22):
horrible not to bring NASCAR. Mean, they tried to do it, you
know, with the Challenge at theColiseum. What do they call it thing
they the Coliseum at the Wild sumor whatever. They have a tricky name
for it. The Challenge at theColiseum something like that. But that's not
you know, I like the race, but that's not a real NASCAR clash
of the coliseum. Yeah, andthey're clashing because they're driving around a football

(15:45):
field. It's not a lot ofroom, but they should have a big
race. Fan. I'm really shockedand disheartened and depressed out my mind that
they're not coming to Ontario anymore.I used to love I never really I've
only been to one of those thingsin Ontario. Was pretty cool. But
when they're there, you can hearit from miles and miles around. When
you drive on the two ten freeway, you can hear that race as it's

(16:06):
going on. You can hear itfrom five ten miles away. It's wild
when they're racing there in Ontario.I'm gonna miss that. I'm going to
miss that. That's a big dealfor me. I'm going to go into
a wild depression. I didn't realizewhen you said that they weren't there.
I thought you meant just like thisyear. No, I think it's gone.
That's crazy. Yeah, I thinkit's over. I don't know why.
That was a great venue and italways sold out. There's millions of

(16:27):
people love NASCAR in California and LosAngeles, they should bring it back.
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior ondemand from KFI AM six forty. You
know a lot of people are tryingthese way mos, you know, these
driverless cars, driverless ubers and taxisand all kinds of stuff. And I

(16:48):
imagine the next generation, you know, kids that are born today will probably
never have to learn how to drivebecause by then, you know, with
the advancement of the technology, nevergonna have to learn to park or drive
or anything. He's getting a carand they'll go and it'll seem second nature
to them that there's no driver.Michael Monks is out talking about LAX.

(17:10):
I guess LAX is, you know, typical of LAX. They're trying to
figure out how to do and howto you know, operate with these autonomous
vehicles. Michael Monks to is,what do you say? What do you
know? Bob? How you Hey, good afternoon, How are you?
I'm excellent? Thank you. Sowhat's going on with LAX They going to
allow these autonomous driverless cars. Well, LAX officials appeared before a city council

(17:33):
committee just last week where they wereexamining these autonomous vehicles as they call them,
across the city and at the airport, and it was really interesting to
him because it doesn't seem like anybodyknows exactly what's going on with the avs
at this moment. In fact, nobody in the city even knows how many
are on the roads locally, andthat's because WEIMO won't tell them. Apparently

(17:56):
that companies not very forthcoming with thedata, and so local are trying to
get a handle of the situation. They certainly want more local control. The
state is looking to get its ownset of controls on this thing. Whether
or not that will filter down thelocal level is yet to be determined.
But as far as the airport isconcerned, they have no policy that allows

(18:18):
avs at this time, and shouldthey be permitted to allow such things to
happen, there's a whole procedure togo through. They have more autonomy than
the city as it relates to whattypes of cars can go out there,
so they will be able to doit even if the WAYMA isn't wrapped up
throughout LA. So it's just yetto be seen. I see, But
you know, right now, Iimagine at LAX I don't think anything has

(18:41):
changed where if you're going to takeuber or lyft, you still have to
take a shuttle to that area andthen you get in your uber or your
lyft. Is that the scillity okay? And there's also some construction going on
out there right so soon there willbe new ways to get in and out
of LAX. And there's also thatpeople mover that coming with the light rail
system when it connects fully to LAX. So all of those are going to

(19:03):
be factors that are under consideration, whether Waimo comes in that same way or
if there will be a special wayfor the driverless cars to go in.
Are you running away from the cops? You know, I live downtown,
so you're just part of the ambiance, Okay, all right, Yeah,
I live near a fire station aswell. That's a lot of fun.
I live right next to the busiestfire station in all of LA. Where

(19:25):
are they central? Yes? Ohmy god, those guys are always those
guys that get nine thousand calls amonth. You don't have to tell me,
and it's all you know, homelessguy passed out, homeless fire and
the hole run. Wow, man, oh man, that's wild all day
and all night. Huh all day. God, I think that's a bigger
story than these. A ton ofhis cars. O that fire station.

(19:49):
We've got the lab LAPD helicopter helipadthat's next to it as well. So
how are you from the helipad. It's about the same distance. Oh god,
well, you know. But theone saving grace I will tell you
this. You probably already know this. There's an awesome Denny's right next to
that heliport. We've been to it. Yeah, it's right off the right

(20:10):
off the one on one freeway comingto downtown. It's right near you know,
the men's central lock up. Andyou see a lot of cats in
there who are gonna have a mealbefore they go visit Dad. Yeah,
next all the bail bond people.Yeah, that's a while. That's a
TV show, that Denny's. Man, it is filled with cops and criminals.
That's all the only people that eatthere. All right, So when

(20:33):
are they gonna officially decide or isare they just gonna let the airport figure
it out? Well, nobody knows. And so what the city council committee,
this is the transportation committee I'm talkingabout. They had these folks from
the police to fire the airport andfrom the Department of Transportation come in and
talk about it. They're like,we need more information. The officials are
like, we don't have any information. So they're gonna meet more. They're
gonna meet quarterly and one of theissues that they want to know about our

(20:56):
incidents involving Waimo right now. Keepin mind Weamo's not all the of the
city. They're in about sixty squaremiles between Santa Monica and downtown. They
are all over San Francisco as partof the test, but only in limited
space here in La I'd like totry one. I've never tried it.
Hey, real quickly, but wegot other more ambulances or fire trucks.
Michael, are you new to thecity? I mean, and what areas

(21:18):
did you say no to before yousettled in right next to the helipad and
the central fire station. I've livedhere about fifteen months, but I visited
a lot back in the day andI am charmed by downtown. I wanted
to live downtown specifically. So you'rewalking distance to all Vara Street. Oh
yeah, sure, yeah, yeah, Oh that's great. Yeah, you
know, yeah, that sounds prettybeautiful. I'm terrifying, but it's great.

(21:41):
I appreciate it. Come visit ofthe valley when you can. My
pleasure. All right, you're thebest. Sorry, Michael Munks, there
he goes. Man. Oh man, he's right down here the heliport.
That's a wild area. Wild.I'm sure the Rent's really awesome though,
because of it. Right, yeah, no, the Rent's got it,
you know, close to nothing. You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on de

(22:02):
Maya from KFI AM six forty.Man. This Caitlyn Clark has really taken
off with the Indiana Fever. She'splayed for Iowa State. She has the
record for most points scored in thehistory of college basketball. And they and
ESPN now televises every one of theirgames. It's on right now. And
so I looked it up that seewhen the last time the Indiana Fever won

(22:26):
a game, September twenty twenty three. I was just thinking the same thing,
and I looked that at myself today. Isn't that wild? Yeah,
September of twenty twenty three. Imean, like every game she's played in,
right, they can blown down likewhoh, there's a reason they got
number one pick. I guess yees. So I mean there's you know,

(22:48):
it's Kitlyn Clark and you know, and like my sisters on the team.
I mean that's you know, likeJackie and Kelly and gotam mighty. They
got to put this team together. They need some points points. But ESPN
they show every one of these games, every one of these games. That's
why I'm all right, it istime to learn Los Angeles. We're gonna

(23:08):
do this all the way up untilthe Olympics, where we get to learn
a little bit of Los Angeles.Right, it's not La in a minute,
it's LA sort of an in abrief segment. But here is the
first question. It's gonna be whiparound step fo. So let's get ready.
Here's your first quiz on Los Angeles. You may recognize that theme song

(23:30):
from Emergency then at all the Emergencyor Michael Monks outside that's right, yeah,
where he's living nowadays, although thisis what it sounds like. It
his house. Julie London, BobbyTrue as Joe and off Man too.

(23:56):
That's John Gage, Kevin Todd Isroy De Souta. All right, so
here's the question for everybody. Howmany LA Fire Department locations are there.
How many stations in laf the it'sto all whip around here. How many

(24:18):
fire stations in the city of LaStepheroni, Tony, let's hit with you,
Bob. What do you got?How many fire stations in the city
of Los Angeles? One hundred, one hundred? All right? How about
Ritchie? My fire stations in LAmaybe like one hundred and forty one?
Okay, crouch in the city cityof LA fifteen fifteen? All right?

(24:45):
Anybody else? We gotta like crewtoday, right, like crew? All
right? The actual answer stuff?Oh is the winner? One hundred and
six seems like a lot. Onehundred and six different fire stations Los Angeles.
That doesn't count Burbank or locking Yata, Glendale, Culver City, Santa

(25:06):
Monica, Beverly Hills. That's justthe city of LA one hundred and six,
according to la fd dot Org.One hundred and six different fire stations.
And you can tell, I thinkMonk lives near the one on Temple
Avenue or Temple Street, because man, that is a wild one. That

(25:27):
is it's just sirens all day long. They get call after call after call,
and and it's mostly you know, homeless guys passing out and they got
to you know, they they can'tsay, oh, it's a homeless guy,
we're not coming. They got toyou know, jump out of bed
and get to the guy and tryto figure it out. It's it's one

(25:51):
wild job, man. They gottajump out of bed, get their you
know, boots on, their gearon, and then go, you know,
figure this guy's life out, becausehe didn't figure it out himself.
So that's their job. All right, Let's talk about Target. Target is
a great store. I love Target. Go to one in the Empire Center
and guess what, everybody, they'recoming down in prices. I like the

(26:15):
store, and I like those prices. Starting today, Target says, yah,
we'll lower the prices on some fifteenhundred items. Wow, I think
that's like I think they said.I think they're lowering it on five thousand
items start, not fifty or startingat fifteen out Okay, some fifteen hundred
items. They include things such aslaundry, detergent, beauty and health items.
Oh, I use all of those. Are you launder detergent and beauty

(26:37):
items? Laundrydetergent, beauty and healthitems, yeah, beauty and help items.
I don't know what a help itemis and groceries food, the Minneapolis
based store Chain says, by theway, Target's got to get out of
the grocery business. Either go getinto it or get out of it.
But don't give me one aisle ofbad fruit and old meat. Don't dip
your toe in like yes, dowhat Target? I mean, Walmart didn't

(26:59):
go for man, go for it. And groceries food, the Minneapolis based
store Chaine says through the summer tolower the price on five thousand items.
According to a Target spokesperson, hesays, we know consumers are feeling pressured
to make the most of their budget, and Target is here to help them
save more now. According to theUS Department of Labor Consumer Price Index and

(27:21):
April overall food prices dropped very littlezero point two percent. It's the first
drop though in a year. Nationalchain. Target says the savings will be
in the store, online and ontheir wrap. As we all know,
it's gotten much more expensive for justabout everything we need on a daily basis.
I don't understand why they didn't doit before. I'm with this lady.
