Today’s episode is a powerful and deeply personal one. I’m joined by Angel Carter Conrad — mother, mental health advocate, founder of The Kids Mental Health Foundation… and the twin sister of Aaron Carter, as well as Nick Carter’s sister.
Between 2012 and 2023, Angel experienced unimaginable loss — losing three siblings and her father to substance abuse and its ripple effects. But through that pain, she’s found a way forward — becoming a fierce voice for healing, awareness, and breaking generational cycles.
Her family’s story is told in The Carters: Hurts to Love You, where they open up publicly for the first time about the trauma they’ve endured and the work they’re doing to heal.
