Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yesterday we were talking about mail or email because I
have to get a refund on my insurance check for
our car that crapt itself and we paid the insurance
for that old car and they have to refund it
because we've got a brand new car. Move no move
no more now it's a crash repair.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
God bless it, so Amen.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
But we want to know if you still use checks,
because I'm getting a check back in the mail, and
I said, I'm going to go put it in my
son Corp account. But then someone rang us up and said,
you can't use they don't take checks anymore.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
I have to take checks.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
But then Moisey looked it up and said, yes, they
can still receive checks because they're going to fade them
out before twenty thirty.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
But I didn'tderstand. Okay, so.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
How so you can't even go into a bank now
and get out cash Sometimes, like if you want to
get a large amount of money, you have to call
Ahead and say, okay, I need five thousand dollars?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Can you please have that redud? Do you have to
have to call Ahead?

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Idea as well? They don't keep heaps of cash there anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Oh what are they keeping there the lunch secrets, lots
of lunches.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Is it like an arcade in the safe?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Now where does the money go?

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Like, where does the money go?

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Do you have to tell them beforehand?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
What you have to organize it?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Set an appointment to go and get the cash because
I don't keep that much cash anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh okay, but where's the money in the computer? But
that's how it.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Feels whether they store the best from the bank. Is
it it must be in the computer.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
When the armor guard guys come up, and what are
they taking it? Where do they take it?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I don't know to a bank. Well, I would assume,
so I don't get it.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I really I not do checks though. That's it's like
some places that don't do cash. Now, yeah, it gives
me absolute errits.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Like Breezy's dad still uses checks, like signs out checks
and then hands them over And that's how you.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
I think my dad still does it too.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I used to thought think they were the best thing.
When my mom or dad would come out with a
check book and then come out with it and then
write out of check and then pay for it.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
It used to be so cool. I thought it was
the best.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You got paid with one million dollar check.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, I've got a million dollar check. But also I
got paid in checked. When I was working at an arcade,
my boss would write out the check of a certain
amount of money. Then he'd have to write at the back,
please play cash to s and then sign it. And
then I go in and then hand the check over.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
They check it all and then give me the cash
for the check. That's so much easier that way, Because
this is what we were talking about yesterday.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Check.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I sent the it in the mail to go receive
my check because I'll send it back and I didn't
want to use an email.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
But we want to know do.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You still use checks or do you know anybody that
still pays or uses checks?

Speaker 5 (02:46):
No, I do have a customer that still pays us
to count with checks, which I have to collect every month.
But just on your thing with sun Crop or want
to call. Yeah, I had the same issue. I had
to cancel Jim's Red Joe and they said a check.
Bafually refused to take checks. What haven't taken them since January?

Speaker 6 (03:04):
Now?

Speaker 2 (03:04):
What how do you get that money?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
How do you get that money?

Speaker 5 (03:10):
I had to go and put it into a separate account.
I had to actually put it into Jim's business account,
which is not what I wanted to do. It's got
to be in his name. But sun cop Network just
will they point blankly I went to the one at
early and point blakely said they don't take checks.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I can't.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I can't do that because then my wife now got
money and I'm stashing it away.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Well she can't take it either because it's in your name.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Ha.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
But she does know about it because you've mentioned it
on the radio twice now several times.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Listen to the show.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Then a right lovely thanks for the support. Greg from
Ashmore who still uses.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Checks, my beloved father who's all ninety years old, bless
and I'm paying for all of its by check.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
He won't pay by be paid. Well, we can't use
the internet period, but yeah, everything has to be done
by check. And he will insists on paying them at
the end of the week, yes, so that he doesn't
end up paying bills all week. That's his superstition.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
And does everyone still accept.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
Them, believe it or what they do?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Now, okay, because that's how it must just be. Sun
Corp doesn't accept Maybe maybe it's just one bag.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Breezy's grandma used to give out birthday presents with me
the checks because he's he's check.

Speaker 6 (04:28):
I'm glad does give his grandkids like fifty cents to
buy a drink at the local touchhop. He's still kind
of sucked stuck in the seventies, bless did.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
He pay by check as well?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, well you have to pay your check now. I
really don't accept cash.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Time with Moira and Tomato.
