Speaker 1 (00:10):
You're listening to Amma Mia podcast. Mamma Mea acknowledges the
traditional owners of land and waters that this podcast is
recorded on. Hi. I'm Ailish Delaney from Mamma MEA's twice
daily news podcast, The Quickie with Your Headlines for Thursday
June five. The housemate of missing seventeen year old Phoebe

(00:32):
Bishop has been released without charge after police spend hours
questioning him over the girl's suspicious disappearance. Police confirmed on
Thursday James Wood was taken into custody on Wednesday and
released several hours later. Phoebe was last seen near Bunderberg
Airport about eight thirty on May fifteen, after booking a
trip to Western Australia to see her boyfriend. CCTV footage

(00:56):
showed Phoebe never arrived at the airport terminal. Queensland Police
detectives are trying to find out what happened to her.
Detectives scaled back the search for Phoebe on Wednesday, after
police had spent weeks combing several areas of interest in
southern Queensland. Phoebe's mum, Kylie Johnson, has been posting on
social media almost every day pleading for information about her

(01:18):
daughter's whereabouts. A liberal state premier has vowed to ask
for a snap election rather than resign in the face
of a no confidence motion he appears destined to lose.
Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockcliffe faced an ongoing no confidence debate
in Parliament on Thursday morning, which resumed after a marathon
debate throughout Wednesday. The motion, put forward by Labor opposition

(01:41):
leader Dean Winter, appears all but certain to pass, with
the Greens and three Cross Bench MPs voicing their support.
Rockcliffe concedes the numbers are against him, but vows to
fight to his last breath and not resign. He says
Tasmania does not want and cannot afford an election, calling
it a selfish grab for power by Winter. President Donald

(02:03):
Trump has banned the nationals of twelve countries from entering
the US, saying the move was needed to protect against
foreign terrorists and other security threats. The countries affected are Afghanistan, Mayan,
mar Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia,
Sudan and Yemen. The entry of people from Burundi, Cuba, Laos,

(02:27):
Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela will be partially restricted.
Trump says the list could be revised and new countries
could be added. The proclamation is effective from June nine.
The order says visas issued before that date will not
be revoked. Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have reportedly broken

(02:48):
up ending their nearly eight year long relationship. People reports
multiple sources say the pair have split, with one source
saying this time feels final. The actress and Coldplay frontmen
were first romantically linked in twenty seventeen after being introduced
by a friend. The couple, who've always been private about
their relationship, were reportedly engaged for years but were in

(03:10):
no rush to get married. Johnson and Martin are yet
to officially comment on the split. That's your Evening News Headlines.
