Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, good morning and happy Friday to those who celebrate.
It's Big Rich, TD and Fletch and we are live
from the front Wave Credit Union Studios.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's one on one, five KGB.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
I'm Big Rich, I got my companion TD. Just to
my right and across from me on the board is Fletch.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Kat will be.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Joining us sometime soon. She is making her way back
from surgeries and all the things related to the breast
cancer diagnosis.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
So our thoughts are with Kat. But she's doing great.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
We got an opportunity to speak to her last week
on the phone before we took off out of here,
and she sounds wonderful.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
So she's she's on the road to recovery.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
And many people are on the road to San Diego
to visit Comic Con this weekend if they haven't already arrived.
Downtown is bustling, the convention center is bustling, and it
is a.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Bar cart Friday.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
He made it to the weekend, folks, and we're gonna
celebrate Comic Con style. We're gonna have nerd drinks, so
that means we're gonna be drinking Monster Energy, the last
you who in the fridge, and probably copious amounts of
mountain dew, you know, stuff that you need.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
When you're gaming, or were you to have one sip
of a like a tours banquet?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Say ew yuckie too strong? Quick time out? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Like gaming? Like playing video games? Oh yeah, okay, okay,
got Why what were you thinking of?

Speaker 5 (01:25):
Well?

Speaker 4 (01:25):
I just I thought I thought it was two words.
You said, it's all right, We'll move on. It's it's good.
You are electric. He walked in this morning just so
full of bananas. I did bring a banana because you
fat shamus amos me yesterday?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Well, what happened? What happened?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I did? I put you in the the cone of
shame fives today? That was great, shamous amos to you.
You you were you were visiting your doctor pepper, uh,
which I will again today. You know what's also so
fascinating is a lot of times when I'm drinking a
sweet drink, I don't like to pair it with a
sweet food because I'm like, oh, these kind of counsel

(02:04):
each other out, Like I always want, like a salty
drink with a sweet food, or a salty food with
a sweet drink.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Do you drink that are salty? Bloody? Mary? What were
you thinking salty drink? So there's one.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
So you drink Bloody Mary's only if you're eating something sweet,
or like a full, full, full, full.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Icy cold glass of yak urine and a whole entire
tray brownie sole. The point is, I had questions about
your diet choices yesterday, and you've already amended that. I
said I couldn't go through the shame again. I couldn't go.
It's Big Rich, TD and Fletch and we are headlong
toward a very busy Friday. We've got Comic Con happening,

(02:51):
so we're gonna be delving into some of our more
more of our nerdy.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Passions and interests.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
We'll get to all that later on, but a quick
update on who's gonna be joining us on air today.
Jason Muse of the movies Jay and Silent Bob, Jay
and Silent Bob strikes Back. There's a new Jay and
Silent Bob movie coming out called Store Wars that's written
by his co star Kevin Smith.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
That's gonna be coming out soon.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
He also does a convenience store YouTube podcast, which is
pretty cool. He's gonna be doing stand up at American
Comedy company this weekend, so it's gonna be fun to
chat with him. He's jumping on the show later on.
And you know, I stopped at a comedian star. So
speaking of the movie Clerks, which was one of my

(03:42):
favorite movies, a black and white movie that Jason Muse
and Kevin Smith created when they were younger, it's amazing
the people who you see in a convenience store literally
in the middle of the night, Like, wait, well, I guess,
I guess it's the middle of the night when we
stop by it.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
That's true. Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
On your way to work in a morning radio shows,
it's you and everybody else work in the morning shift,
or people getting off shift late, or some people who
I at this.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Point think live in the convenience store you're going to.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
So I stopped that one of those gas station convenience stores,
and there was a gentleman who looked like he was
making home in the corner, and I was just like,
I wonder how this one pans out for everybody in
the building, right, Like, so the store clerk, the guy
at the front counter, seemed pretty comfortable with the idea.
So maybe they've they've developed a kinship over over the

(04:38):
past couple of years. Who knows, he's just accepted it.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, yeah, that pet now yeah, or or or.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Maybe it's one of those symbiotic relationships, like you know
how like the bird lands on the hippo's back and
you think to yourself, yeah, like, man, you know that
bird's got to be annoying that hippo.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
He's just pecking at his eyelids.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
And then you find out through re search and guys
like David Addleborough saying, now, watch has the the bulgarian pitchfork.
It pitched out the hippo's eyes. He is actually not
bullisome to the hippo whatsoever. He's just eating eyelid mites.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
They need each other. He survived. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I
mean it could be.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
It could be, which you know, I guess for whatever reason,
in the middle of the night when I walk into
a convenience store, I'm just fine with it. It's whatever's
happening there, and that's just what's happening.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I like to observe. I think this guy is eating
all the bugs. It's like, I do think it's a
symbiotic relationship.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I think the seven to.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Eleven convenience store allows him to clear out a couple
of the lower shelf pringles and make himself a little cubbyhole,
and in return he chases her.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
That sounds worse. He chases off all the pests. Wait,
what do they need to go indoors for? Right now?
It's like seventy last night.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
All I'm saying is I saw mouse on a skewer
and I was like, that smells delicious?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
All right, listen, is one of the rollers? No no, no, no,
no, no god.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
They kept that just with the delicious quarter pounds hot
dogs that were available for purchase. Speaking of purchase, if
you want to make a bunch of them before the
summer ends, you.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Can need a little cash.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
And you're gonna want to put that cash directly into
your pocket. And if you want to put that cash
in your pocket, you're gonna need a keyword first. And oh,
would you look at the time, he is once again
preparing for Europe by attempting to survive entirely on misplaced
confidence and the occasional lick of a rice cake. His
daily calorie count is so low now his smart watch

(06:41):
has stopped tracking fitness and started contacting emergency services. He
calls his zero calorie diet nutrition is called please eat
a sandwich, but he refuses to arrive in Europe with
even one ounce of unnecessary American softness.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
Hide the croissants, lock up the pasta.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
And please do not stand between him and a complimentary
airline pretzel. This is not a Fletcher where Fletch talked sports.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
I was actually so bad yesterday. I thought I wasn't
gonna Eatel six. I ended up having like a full
last meal of taco a story. Yeah I thought you
were fastiet, Yeah I was. I was going to and
then it turned out to be a very stressful day.
So Taco Bell just started going to I see what
you're doing, You went, Taco Bell, so you can get the.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Out of me.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I was kind of thinking that may happen.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Drop some weight, drop some pounds before you weigh in
a right parasite. Speaking of dropping some weight and dropping
some pounds, Former Cowboy current packer Micah Parsons was doing
an interview with CBS Sports as we get ready for
this NFL season. He was asked who his favorite singer was.
He said Shakira. He was asked who his favorite NFL
player was when he was growing up.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
He said Cam Newton, and then he was asked what
the weirdest part about him was, without hesitating, his immediate response,
I have a foot fetish. The interviewer following up by saying,
so you like toes, and Michael Parsons, once again without hesitation,
said yes, and he has since doubled down on this
on social media.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Michael Parson's self admitted foot fetish guy.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I bet, I bet his dms are flooded.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Oh yeah, he's gonna get all sorts of peats way,
so you know what, and you shall receive.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
I'm gonna take a picture of mine right now. Yeah,
set them over to Micah. I'm sure he'd love it. CD,
you got great toast. They're real round. Okay, Well, we'll
post that to the story later. The Arizona Cardinals were
one of the first two teams to open up training
camp because they're gonna be playing in the Hall of
Fame Game, which is coming up on August sixth, the
kickoff of the preseason this year.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
It's gonna be between them and the Panthers. Here's the
bizarre thing the Cardinals. They don't have a Patrick Mahomes
or a top quarterback in the NFL. In fact, they
just got a bunch of guys.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
However, a team that should not be in any quarterback
drama because they're in this rebuild thing, are in quarterback
drama because Jacoby Wesset, the career back up quarterback who's
bounced around the league, who is presumed to be the
starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals this year, hasn't signed
his contract yet because he's not happy with it.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
No, apparently it's crazy. He returned to training camp practice
amid ongoing quote unquote productive contract negotiations. He basically has
the Cardinals painted into a corner. If you want him
to be your starting quarterback, you're gonna have to pay him,
probably more than you're comfortable paying a player of the
caliber of Jacoby Prissette.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
They should just let him walk and see what else
they have. They got guy, they got Carson Beck, who's
a second year quarterback on their team.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
They've got some dudes. Oh man, I would not do that.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
That is they're gonna be terrible this year.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Any wants I would, yeah, because then you could do
like a bad news Bear story.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
If if you are a coach in the NFL, you
want to field the best players you possibly can. Jacoby Brissett,
hands down is the best quarterback on their roster, and
that's the reason why they're trying to get this settled
before the season starts. So if you are, if you
are entering this season, you're like, ah, screw it. I
like that ads here. Like you look at what's in

(10:04):
their division.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
It's the Niners, the Rams and the Seahawks and the
Cardinals and so far every power ranking that comes out,
no matter what Rams and Seahawks are one and two.
Oh yeah, Like, you have three of the top seven
teams in the NFL in your division. This is gonna
be a rough year no matter who's playing quarterback for you.
It kind of felt like the Cardinals gave up. Yeah,
just punt on this season too, Go get a good

(10:26):
draft pick. Next year's quarterback class stacked all right. Finally,
the Padres have made their first trade of the years.
It has begun Rob Marnaccio, who's been a nice bullpen
piece for the Padres over the last couple of seasons.
He actually grew huge fame during the World Baseball Classic.
He was one of those Team Italy pitchers who played really,

(10:46):
really well.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
This last year.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Loved him. Also in the Karate Kid reboot.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
I thought the fact that he returned as Daniel's son
was incredible.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Well, he's been traded him as Tony Danza's funny neighbor
and who's the boss.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
So let me ask you this question, Fledge. We want
to know what he's been traded for. When you have
Ralph Macchio on your roster and you trade him away, Yeah,
what do you get for Ralph Macho?

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Ron Maranassio, the Italian pitcher for the Padres, has been
traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
N Oh money, It's got a straight cast.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
They got international signing bonus pool considerations, which means money.
I'm kidding.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Hold on, can we get Ralph Modio?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Yeah? Cool?

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Or like a cool VHS player and then Karate Kid
on VHS.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah. All I know is I don't know what kind
of a closing pitcher Machio is or how much he's
got in terms of gas left in the tank at
sixty seven years of age. But if you need him
to crane kick someone directly in the face, I think.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
He could still do it.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Wait, so Ralph Macchio six to seven, he's six seven.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
He looks like he's thirty. He was born in the sixties.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
The trade deadline is not this upcoming Monday, but the
one after that. And it's assuming now as the Padres
continue to lose game and lose games and lose games,
that they're probably going to be selling at the trade deadline.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
So this just may be the very very beginning fake news.
He's sixty four. He's sixty four, crazy believe, six feet
four inches tall. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it's insane. Yeah, okay, Well,
is this the start of bad news? They're trading just
for cash? Yes, it's gonna it's They're gonna start trading

(12:24):
for players. Eventually, it's gonna happen soon.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
See you later. Mason Miller. I don't know about him.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Actually, I'm beginning to think he may stay, but everyone else.
By The keyword is rich.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Bring that over to one one five kgb dot com
for your chance to win one thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Just a tip with Big Rich. Next, it's just a
ten with bigat.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yes, it is a little advice. I like to slide
out your way. It's yours for the taking if you
want it, push it back this way. No harm, no foul.
If you don't, it's just a tip with Big rich In.
Today's advice is all about how to build a valuable
Pokemon card collection.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
So now, Caleb, turn the radio off.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
If you are a comic Con fan, or you're in
the city, cruising around, spitting the dial in your rental
car and you're thinking to yourself, Man, I want to
get into collecting Pokemon, but I don't know where to start.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Well, here is what you need to do. Focus on
your goals.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Pick specific favorite Pokemon artists or set rather than buying
everything you see. You know, track values, use tools like
they have apps everywhere but TCG player. You can monitor
mark price, market prices and avoid overpaying for cards that
you shouldn't spend too much on. Maintain a list or
a spreadsheet. Okay, you're gonna have to do this right.

(13:43):
You're gonna have to build out a database of your
own to track with your own what you want, what
it costs. Okay, use sleeves. You got to protect your assets.
Go ahead and put cards into those soft pennies sleeves
immediately after touching them. And use binders. Choose the ring
list side loading binders so that the pages, do not
VND or pinch your cards, and control your environment. Okay,

(14:07):
this isn't something you're going to store in your humid
attic or you know, somewhere subterranean where dampness can get
to them. Story collection in a dry, cool room away
from direct sunlight to stop fading or warping. Look, a
lot of the most elite collector forums are going to
agree that setting up a systematic tracking spreadsheet is absolutely

(14:30):
essential for financial realism of your goals. It's it's that simple, folks,
and you could start today, you could start this week
in a comic con.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
These are all real tips.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
You also probably want to get yourself a stack, maybe
a ten or twenty pack of the magnetic single card
holders in case you come across some that are just
real gems that you want to put.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Unfortunately, I would say if you really wanted to capitalize
on this tip, you needed to start doing this.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Twenty five years you do. You did.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
However, also, you could have started this collection for ten dollars.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Stop stop by maybe a used bookstore, or maybe a
record store or or a I don't know what, an
antique store. Find yourself somewhere that has that old pack
of cards somewhere I actually start buying them up.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
I have a buddy TD who does this. He goes
around sea yard sales all over the place. People like
who are my age who had Pokemon collections when they
were kids. They've just been sitting in your parents attic
in their basement for decades now.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Like for example, if you stumble across a Venosaur hollow
number fifteen, it's all about the charge. You're going to
throw it in one of those magnetic protectors. If you
come across an Umbrian double rare or a Lance's Charizard
five man.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
You're gonna want to stow that away.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
If you check out one of the more top modern
mid range targets day, they range from about fifteen dollars
to forty dollars depending on the market.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Roaring Moon ex Si R S war On Moon.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
If you if you find quarterback for the oilift illustration Rare,
You're gonna want to stow that away.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Look what I'm saying is you could you could make.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yourself a fortune of cash if you just start buying Pokemon.
I would say, honestly, divest from your four to one
K and go all in on Pokemon futures.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
There was a Pikamon illustrator card sold February fifteenth of
this year four sixteen million, four hundred and ninety two
thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
It could be you, So into the nerd realm, we
go once more, bravely, kindly, with some apprehension, because we
know these topics can become greatly debated. For example, if
you bring up the television series, any of them animated,
animated or live action, or any of the movies Batman,

(16:43):
and you start talking about the best Batman villains of
all time, there are going to be a ton of
differing opinions. Now, I know this will be controversial on
this show because specifically, I know one of you is
going to disagree with me vehemently. But I will say, boleheartedly,
without reservation, the best Batman villain is Jack Nicholson's portrayal

(17:05):
of the Joker in the original Tim Burton Michael Keaton
humongous box office hit Batman.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
I can see why you would say it. I can
see and what I might agree with you. I have
to think about it for a second, but I think
I might agree with you. The purple suit lean in
a little heath Ledger, though I am leaning a little
Heath Ledger. I don't see how you could say anyone
other than the Joker, the Prince soundtrack, every time he

(17:34):
appeared on screen, Like I just I just look at
the Joker, and again specifically.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
The the late eighties. I believe it was eighty nine release.
Jack Nicholson Joker is the best. It was menacing, but funny,
it was. It was just enough villainous, interspliced with comedic
relief that if I found it to be the most
compelling character, or I should say specifically villain in all

(18:01):
of the Batman franchises.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Let's take emotion out of this for a second, because
this can be a very emotional topic. Okay, and I
will usually go that way. Okay, Jack, he was great.
He was a great Joker. My god, he set the table.
In fact, he Ledger drew inspiration from him. Every Joker
that's ever been the Joker has drawn inspiration from Jack.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Here's what I'll say.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
In every superhero movie in history, only two actors have
won Oscars. There's been plenty of sound design, there's been
plenty of set design, costume design, whatever. Two actors have
won Oscars for portrayals in a superhero movie. Both of
them have been Jokers. Neither of them were Jack Walking
Phoenix won an Oscar for his portrayal as the Joker
in the more serious version. Later on, Heath Ledger won

(18:43):
an Oscar for playing the Joker as well.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
I I, okay, the Heath Ledger Joker stands out right
away because it's red, just like for a superhero movie.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
It is acting in general, one of the greatest performances
we've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
And he made the Joker very scary. I like, oh,
this could be a real person. But you said it.
He doesn't exist. That character doesn't exist. He doesn't draw
from from anything other than Jack Nicholson. He has to
have the eighty nine Batman that has to exist in
order for Heath Ledgers Joker to exist.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
So I have to go and Heath Ledgers was still better. Yeah,
well no it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
And and here's the problem with this argument, and I
think it's a ridiculous argument. The Academy Awards are an
industry of trade competition driven by corporate marketing.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
It has nothing to do with taste in movies.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
So if you are going to use the Academy Awards
and Oscar is given out to actors as your argument,
your best argument to support the fact that Heath Ledger
deserves to be the best villain, or I should say
Heath ledgers portrayal of the Joker to be the best
villain in the films.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
It's a bad argument. It's not my only argument. That's
also honestly my third or fourth argument. I will say
first one you used because I wanted to go with logic.
If I'm thinking emotionally, Heath Ledger's performance is my favorite
acting performance period ever.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
In anything, in any movie anywhere. Man, I'm well, that's.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
A true take. Oh man, it's an opinion take it.
That's how I feel. I do love it.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
I mean I love it. I love him, I love
what he did. I love that movie. But god an
eighty nine Batman. There's also a nostalgia factor that hits deep.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
And he was biting somebody else's style, Like if there
was no Jack Nicholson, there would have been no heat.
Made it his own.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
It's so different. He drew inspiration. He literally stole the
laugh hardly.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Sure, it's the It is the the key, the fundamental
part of the character portrayal that Jack Nicholson brought to
the silver screen. That again couldn't be couldn't be reinvented,
So the best you could do is bite his style
and replicate it. And and by the way, Heath Ledger

(20:56):
did a great job pretending to be Jack Nicholson, but
he was.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Isn't the best joke?

Speaker 3 (21:00):
A lot of slander going on with Heath Ledger right
now from rich Ornberger.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
And I don't like if.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Jack Nicholson wasn't who he was as the Joker in
the eighty nine Batman, it wouldn't have been taken as
serious as a movie.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Listen, I mean, like he made it. We're only just
dipping our toes into the nerd waters. We have another
firm debate next. So there is no convincing fletch that
that any movie is better than The Dark Knight, any
actor's portrayal of any single character is better than Heath
Ledger's portrayal of the Joker in The Dark Knight. So,

(21:34):
like many he's he's made his choice. He's dug in.
His heels are dug in, and that's all there is too.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
He brought this up, I don't know, over twenty minutes
ago of who the best Joker was and it has
been twenty minutes of debate here in studio.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
I don't think anyone's gonna win this. It's just gonna
go back and forth forever. Well, I almost feel like,
I mean, we're not changing minds here. I need to
have that much.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
Oh god, no, no, no no.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
And truthfully, you know, I think and this isn't the
I promise you it's not an insult. It says a
lot about you. In your favorite movie is The Dark Knight.
I'm not the only one.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
No, listen, look, it's it's like he switched up the
entire genre. He's like, oh, another superhero movie. Nah, I'm
gonna make an actual crime drama. And it was ef
and sick.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Dude.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
One thing we have, and it was can we agree
on one thing? The most underrated Joker of all time?
Mark Hamill Luke Skywalker.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
The animated series. Dude, just with his voice is freaking haunting.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
I mean, not to nerd out too much, but the
animated series Batman, the animated series was actually awesome.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
It was very good. It was very very good.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
And again it's one of those oddities where an a
major motion pictures star took a huge swing and maybe it.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Was a paycheck.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Yeah, I don't know what Mark Mark Mark Hamill's ledger
sheet looks like.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
Maybe maybe he needed a little cash. He was being
the Joker for like twenty years. Yeah, animated, it's he
does voiceover still at everything, and.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
A bunch of video games. Also, he's awesome at all.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Worst Batman, worst Batman, George Clooney, George Clooney's hands down,
George Clinton. It's not even he had the nipple costume,
although it's so bad. I mean the Ben Affleck. Oh
you know what, Ben Affleck.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Ben was also a very bad Batman but had a
badass Batman suit. Yeah, sequences in those movies. I went
back and watched them recently because I used to just
give them so much hate, Like the Zack Snyder Batman
movies were actually pretty sick.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Okay, so again this isn't helping your heath ledger.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
You know again, it's it's not for the movies as
a whole, because I think they're kind of dumb. But
the actual action themselves and the like viciousness that Batman
has in those movies is different from any other it was.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Did Ben Affleck have a standalone Batman movie? He had
Batman versus Superman. He did have a Batman, Yes.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
I bought.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
I bought Clooney as the billionaire broody Bruce Wayne.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
I could not get. I could not put him in
Batman's Who and be like, oh, that's crime fighter Like
Ben Affleck. I couldn't see him as either. I couldn't
se him as a brooding, dark billionaire, and I also
couldn't se him as Batman. He was bad casting.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
If they had a better person other than Ben Affleck role,
it would have been a better Who's the Worst Batman?

Speaker 2 (24:15):
It's Ben Affleck.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
George?

Speaker 2 (24:17):
No, No, George was pretty bad, dude. I forgot Ben Affleck.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
Was Val Kilmer also a Batman, Yeah, yeah, but he
was just barely above George Clooney. Yeah, I mean just
there weren't nipples on the suit exactly. And and I'm
telling you if you if you see Affleck halfway through
the movie, it kind of felt like he was like,
I give up.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Have you gonna seen the new the Robert Pattinson Batman. Yeah,
it's a very different portrayal.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
I think he knocks it out of the part that's
the based on the comic book The Last Halloween.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah, it's really good. I could. I watched about ten
minutes of it, and I'm like, this is Twilight.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
I couldn't.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
I do have a problem with it. You know what
I had a problem with than that is they.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Kind a whitey.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Yeah, they meet him. It's because he's a brooding teenager,
a billionaire. I mean, what billion what rich kid?

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Do you know?

Speaker 1 (25:06):
It's like he's learning how to be Batman. Actually, I
think he does a good job with him. I couldn't
stand that movie, all right. Trending with TD next one
O one, Trending with TD.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
Comic Con is in full swing, and yesterday, I don't
know if you saw guys downtown in one of these
what they call them when they're not inside activations, Yeah,
these little activations.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
That's Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
How cool is that?

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Johnny Depp comes out in full Ebenezer Scrooge attire because
he's got the Ebenezer movie coming out in November.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
The trailer dropped yesterday. It looks fantastic, it looks awesome. Yeah, yeah,
I'm super excited for that. I around the holidays, I like,
I do love sitting down, you know, the fire crackling
warming the house and turning on, turning on a Christmas
movie with the kids.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
That's fun.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
It's cool that no other actor does stuff like this
the way Johnny Depp does full buy in. Like remember
when he was Captain Jack he would go to Disneyland
as Captain Jack Sparrow. Yeah, just be in the ride
for hours, talking to people in for literally like six
seven hours at a time. Yesterday was another example.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
He's out of a kind man, completely bought in and yeah,
it's it was cool. That was cool to see man.
Ted Lasso Season four comes out in just a couple
of weeks. Actually, now season three that was supposed to
be the end of ted Lasso, and Jason Sedakas was
making one million dollars per episode to do season three
of ted Lasso, so we made ten million bucks. They
did ten episodes. They asked him to do season four.

(26:33):
He said no, but he said it wasn't because of
the paycheck. That wasn't it because they were going to
offer him again a million dollars per episode. Well, season
four he's making three million dollars per episode. They made
thirty million bucks for ten episodes. I'm a little nervous
about this. I'm being honest, I am jay. I think
season three was pretty perfect if you ask me. A
couple episodes ran a little long, but if you want

(26:55):
emotion from a thirty minute sitcom, almost like that is
thele of it. And season three was the pinnacle of
the show, and I think they should have ended it.
I agree they should have just left the bow on it.
I'm nervous about this as well.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Here's the craziest thing that you'll hear today.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
I promise you, I have yet to see a single
episode of ted Lasso. That show was gift wrapped in
and laid on your table. Rich as a show.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
That's made for you, Yeah, one million percent, like understanding
you as a human being. Of any of my friends
who would love that show more than anyone, it would
be rich or you would.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Cry through every episode.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
You know, here's here's a bad This could be a
bad movie take or really TV show take.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
I don't I don't typically like sports movies. I don't
like that. That's that's that.

Speaker 4 (27:41):
What's odd about it is that's not the focus of
the show. The focus is the heart.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, oh no, no, I get I've heard the best
pitches from everybody who's watched it. I bet you I'll
like it, given how much acclaim it's received. But still
to this day, it's almost like my thought that I
will like it. It's most superseding what I think I'll
really feel about it. And I don't want to be
the only one walking around going tad.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
LESSA wasn't that, you know?

Speaker 3 (28:06):
It's crazy If you turn it on today, you'd be
done in two days, that type of show where you
could just watch, watch watch, watch.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Watch man.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Man.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I got one more here, and it's a big deal
and it's near and dear to my heart.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
You may have to do a double double take here, guys,
in and Out has been knocked off its throne. A
new USA Today poll reveals that Americans have named a
new number one fast food restaurants.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Guess it's guess it's guessers. Okay, that is a guess
is a guess? That is wrong?

Speaker 5 (28:38):
But right?

Speaker 2 (28:38):
You got anything I'm gonna say?

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Because TD is bringing it up and he's feeling so
near and dear to this story, it's gonna be Dell Taco.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
Ladies and gentlemen, the best fast food restaurant in America.

Speaker 6 (28:52):
Del Taco, unbelievable American Now this was like TD was
pulled this They pulled six thousand different Americans.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Wow, this is so true.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Del Taco?

Speaker 7 (29:06):
How is this?

Speaker 1 (29:07):
How does this happened?

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Del Taco twice in my life? At both times were
because TD told me I had to get something on.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Them with you.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
I go to Del Taco probably three times a week. Crazy.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
I've also had Dell Taco sparingly, and usually it's like
crazy to me. It's an emergency pit stop on our
way somewhere and the kids are like, we got a
pie and you have five seconds to pull over. And
I'll tell you what, every time I go there, I
don't have a bad time. I enjoyed Del Taco. But
when I rank at number one overhaul, oh there's no chance. Man.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Best tacos, best fish tacos, best burritos. They got the
carnitas burrito right now, best burger don't sleep on it,
and those creticle cut fries come off. If you want
to take a look like the mind of Travis Dale
Rich and I will bring up Oh my god, we
found this awesome little Mexican restaurant hole in the wall.
You got to try at the burrito outrageous blah blah
blah TV will say I'd rather just go taco Yeah,

(30:00):
I love they'll talk taco plate.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
You know what, it is, the number one fast food
restaurant in We live.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
In the greatest city in the country for Mexican food.
You get your Mexican food in a bad chain.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
No, No del Taco is from this area. You can't
you can't say it's bad. It's not bad. It's just
not number one.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
But you know, honestly, who shares this opinion with TD
highly controversial zz top All the members of the band
love them some Dell Taco. I'm not sure if that's
true or not. Could be thick News Britos. They're gonna
have Guest Cheap Trick down in chew Leavista. If you
want to go to the show, you gotta call this
number eight eight eight five seven oh one O one
five caller ten. You're winning nerd debates. That's what we're

(30:42):
getting into as comic Con takes over this fair city.
We need to get into the hard work that the
people just they desire from us.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
So this is the next one.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
And I'm gonna probably throw Maltov cocktail here and step
away because I know this is a controversial opinion, and
I know I'm probably out on an island with this one, but.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Jurassic Park is not a very good movie. Wow, it
was three years of friendship.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
That's just I washed down the drain Jurassic I don't
think you're completely wrong.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Okay, okay, So as a child, stop lying.

Speaker 1 (31:26):
I was lost in in wonderment watching this movie. I
want to make this clear. Back in the nineties when
this hit theaters, I was too terrified to see it
in theaters. I was young. I was probably eight or
nine years old when it when it came out in
the box office, but I watched it at home and
still was very scared. But but this this was based
off of a book, and it's actually a really good book.

(31:48):
And so if you've ever read Jurassic Park and you
you follow, like now again.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
This is like such a nerdy thing to do. But
like the book was better than the movie. It really was.
Like the book is spellbinding.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
It talks about you know, science, greed, and a lot
of the things that like affect our culture even today.
And they they kind of like they went to Hollywood
tropes of just turning this into a survival thing where
it really, it missed so many of the underlying, overarching
really points and morals of the whole story.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
I didn't read the book. In fact, I didn't even
remember there was a book.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
Michael Crichton wrote it. It is a great book, Okay,
I believe you. It's also a great movie. Michael Crichton.
I think Michael Creon. I spelled Crichton. So the first
time you've ever saw is when you just googled it. No, no,
I didn't google it. Actually I thought it's a fun watch.
Actually still now, I think it's a fun watch. It's
just kind of dumb.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
It's all. It's just kind of dumb. And I think
these special effects are cool.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
I think the I think the callbacks that Spielberg did
to other movies, you know, to Goony's and things like,
I think it's I think that's cool.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Like TD and I have bonded over Spielberg and we're rich.
By the way, there's one thing we don't trust TD
with its movie opinion. So I'm shocked that you're just
like walking on hand in hand with him on this.
He's thrown him out first. I'm just agreeing.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
And listen, I know, I also know it's a it's
a massive overstep. When TD agrees with me on movies,
I'll tell you where. I'll tell you where the hang
up lies in Jurassic Park. Yeah, there ain't no way
that dinosaurs opening a door. Yes, okay, this what happened.
But they turned it into like so again, you know,
the whole thing was, you know, chaos theory and corporate

(33:34):
overreach and and scientif agreed and like the perilous march
towards the end that like, i mean, think about where
we are, like where everybody wants to live forever, and
we're reanimating we're literally living in Jurassic part times.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
We're reanimating corpses.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Of mastodons and stuff that they're they're finding DNA in
the Arctic. I mean, it's it's it's all focused on
the future that we're living through right now. And they
missed all that because they turned it into the goonies.
They had a couple of kids defeating dinosaurs. Well it's so.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Dumb, man, I mean, they're soundtracks.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Soundtracks after the soundtrack Jeff Goldbloom at his peak, it
was it was I don't know if it's peak, but
that's the best Jeff, you go back.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
This movie better than Independence Day. It's as good as
Independence Day. But again it's in his peak. I'm telling you,
I love this movie.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Samuel L.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Jackson's smoking SIGs NonStop. You got what's his name from Seinfeld?

Speaker 2 (34:32):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
It's like you're forgetting about the best parts of this movie.
You're focusing on the stupid kids. That's not the best
parts of this movie. Saying when you have the dinosaur
open a door and it's not it's not emergency dinosaurs,
dinosaur their puppets looking around.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
There's a lot of c g I and it was
very advanced. But there was also a great deal of animatronics.
And but but they turned a movie into a theme ride. Now,
will I show it to my kids?

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Yes? Will they enjoy absolutely? Will I enjoy their enjoyment
of it?

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yes? But this is kind of it's it's it's more
this is this is a tent pulled on childhood nostalgia
more than it is an actual, actual interesting movie to
watch if you watch it as an adult, I'm telling
you you haven't seen Jurassic Park recently. I actually have.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
I watched it.

Speaker 3 (35:23):
It was probably like three months ago, back when I
was Ember said, here's the thing, what Jurassic Park as
a whole, like where it's gone in the future kind
of sucks.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
I like the Chris Pratt Jurassic Park movies. I'm kind
of out the.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Lost World, even stuff the OG Number one, which was
I believe the only one Spielberg actually had full control over.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
I think so is amazing. I mean again, I think it's.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
What's amazing about it and it's it's it's true again
now maybe through different eyes, but as an adult watching
this movie, what was revolutionary about it was seeing what
looked like real dinosaurs.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
On the on the screen for the first time. Holds
up by the way. They still look great and they
got more today.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Really right.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
But I'm telling you it's it's not a good movie,
and I'll stand on it. I know it's controversial. Drassic
Park stinks.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
The ninth Annual Casino Royale Poker Tournament, brought to you
by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of San Diego County,
is coming up on Friday, August seven, to twenty twenty
six of this fine year. It's gonna be six pm
at Bougie Mama in San Diego. It's about ten minutes
away from Sierra Mesa. Oh, Sarah Mesa, you got to

(36:32):
be twenty one or older. You're gonna need a valid
ID at entry. But this is a fantastic event again
going on for about a decade now, raises funds for
one to one mentoring for programs and local youth. And
we've got a very very important guest on the air
with us today, Narina Polito, who both serves as president

(36:58):
of iHeart San Diego but also chair on the board
of the Big Brothers Big Sisters here in San Diego. Okay, Noreen,
first and foremost, welcome back to the show. You've been
on many times with us on bark Our Fridays, and
today it's a little bit of a different deal because
you're not in studio sip and drinks with us. You're

(37:19):
spreading the word about a great event. So first and foremost, Loreene,
good morning, good Boring, Thank you for being on with us.
Tell us a little bit for those who are you know,
the uninitiated. What does Big Brothers and Big Sisters of
San Diego do for San Diego And.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Why is this a deal that's so close to your heart?

Speaker 8 (37:43):
Yeah, we believe that there's a lot of kids out
there that need mentors.

Speaker 7 (37:47):
They might have a parent that's deployed.

Speaker 8 (37:49):
They might be in a single parent family, they might
be growing up with people other than their parents, maybe
grandparents and uncles.

Speaker 9 (37:55):
Et cetera.

Speaker 7 (37:56):
So big brothers, big sisters, we pair.

Speaker 8 (37:57):
Them up with somebody another adult that spends time with
them every single month, basically a couple hours a month,
and it allows them an opportunity to have another big
brother or sister in their life to help them and
guide them through some of life's biggest decisions. And we
all know that mentoring is a really, really critical part
of what we could do as a community. And the

(38:19):
greatest part is that I was a big sister back
when I was in my early twenties and had a little.

Speaker 7 (38:24):
Sister who I still speak to today, who has.

Speaker 8 (38:26):
Become a really great human being, and I'm super proud
of that.

Speaker 7 (38:30):
Therefore, I'm on the board. And first I want to
thank Travis.

Speaker 8 (38:33):
And Rich both of you for coming out to this
event and helping Tom see it. It's two weeks from today.
It is going to be a bougie mona. It is
not the kind of thing where you get a piece
of chicken on a plate and watch a big program.
This is literally playing poker super fun.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Yeah, yeah, this is going to be fun.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Sdbiggs dot org slash events that's where you go if
you want to sign up for this thing. But yeah, Norien,
we are going to be hosting this thing. Are you
worried about our attire and orbit behavior? As said host
of this event, slightly, and yes, I.

Speaker 8 (39:06):
Would like to review that day what you guys are
going to wear and then what you guys are going
to say, because we want to be very careful.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
But get this.

Speaker 7 (39:14):
The winner of the poker tournament, actually we'll get a
green jacket. Green is the color of Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

Speaker 8 (39:21):
So it's kind of going to be like what happens
at the US Open, right we're the masters.

Speaker 1 (39:26):
Yeah, yeah, the masters. Yeah yea yeah, that's you.

Speaker 7 (39:29):
Can get a green jacket and everybody.

Speaker 8 (39:32):
Every ticket includes your food and drinks and fun, and
we've got a lot of really great prizes from our
partners at j Lab.

Speaker 7 (39:39):
We've got hotel stays and all kinds of fun stuff.
And if you don't play poker, you could still come.

Speaker 8 (39:44):
There's a ticket just to be able to come and
watch and have fun and stand around with me and
have a nice cocktail.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Yeah, there's the poker player pass or you could cheer
from the sidelines like Noreen was just describing, and you're
just gonna enjoy it as a spectator. But all the
individual passes include event access, the savory bites you're gonna enjoy,
and two complimentary drinks. Again, you go to st bigs
dot org slash event and you can see this. I'm

(40:11):
going to show up in a tuxedo thong. Now, I
want to make it clear. I have been working on
the thighs in the glutes. I've been hitting them hard
at the gym, and I gotta say, if you're looking
for tasteful elegance, that's what I believe I'm going to
be presenting at the event with.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
Yeah, yeah, I would agree.

Speaker 4 (40:28):
I'm going to come as a magician's assistant. A magician's
assistant is what I'm going to go a lot of sequence,
a lot.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
It's going to be very high waisted, and I'm so
sorry I will be here.

Speaker 7 (40:41):
I know I'm sorry too.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
Ben.

Speaker 7 (40:43):
Which did you say tuxedo fall?

Speaker 1 (40:46):
That is what he said, Yeah, that is what I said.
Is it's already been purchased, so and I can't return
it because I've already worn it. There's a strict no
return policy. After I tried it on the store, it
was great.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
You're wearing it now. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
It was one of those things where noreen to be
perfectly honest with you in the store mirror. I'm like, oh,
this works. And they're like, do you want to put
on your clothing, sir, And I'm like, no, I'll wear
it out.

Speaker 2 (41:07):
Thank you.

Speaker 8 (41:08):
And so, oh jeez, I hope you cut the tag
off because that would be uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
You don't want to cut the tag off while you're
wearing No.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
We got a new expense report coming for the new
chairs we have to put in studio after Rich has
been sitting with Seth Thal Right, that's right, Everything's fine, guys.

Speaker 7 (41:21):
I mean to encourage you not to wear that. You
do not need to get that dressed up for this.

Speaker 8 (41:25):
It's just really all about fun and raising money for
Big Brothers Six Sisters of San Diego and.

Speaker 7 (41:30):
Helping to provide mentors in our community.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County for
an unforgettable evening of high stakes excitement. Glamour and friendly
competition at the annual Casino Royale again Sebigs dot org
Slash event for tickets and us we're gonna be there
and then yeah and then headlining the event, Big Rich
and TD from Big Rich, TD and Fletch right here

(41:54):

Speaker 2 (41:57):
We are excited for the night.

Speaker 7 (41:59):
Thank you so much. I'll see you there.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
You got it. We'll see all of you there again,
Estiebiggs dot Org Slash event, you, Rich, TD and Fletch
here on a barcard Friday, and we are just thirty
minutes away from delving into some of the delights of
the day, which are going to include our good friend
Tony Kanja, owner operator of Keg and Bottle here in
San Diego. He's opening up stores in the Midwest and

(42:24):
he just got off a plane flight last night, so
he's going to be zooming in studio and he's bringing
with him his daughter, who is going to be our
mixologist bartender today. It's going to be a really exciting
change of pace for us, and we're going to be
featuring some of our old friends, you know, some of
the liquors and delicious spirits that we've tasted in Barkhart's past.

Speaker 4 (42:48):
So his daughter's moving to Arizona. She's going to medical school,
of course, of course, of course. Is she going to
be the most popular student in school with her dad
being Tony Kanjo owner, Breater, Keg and Bobble, That is correct.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
Yeah, yeah, he has me and joining us and she's
going to be uh mixing up. It sounds like a
couple of martinis. Maybe we're gonna have some spritzes. We're
looking forward to that. She just hawking wares, and we're
also really looking forward to being joined by Jason Muse.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
You know him from Jay and Silent Bob.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
You know him from Clerks, you know him from mal Rats,
you've seen him in the movie Dogma. Also, he has
a YouTube series that's really fun and I watched a
couple of these episodes last night U Five Things with
Jason Muse where he goes around a convenience store and
he interviews guests, not unlike the set of the movie Clerk.

(43:42):
So it's gonna be really fun catching up with him,
and we're gonna nerd out over comic Con because that's
part of the reason why he's here.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
I believe he and Timmy Smith are doing a bunch
of shows at ACC that are all Comic Con themed. Yeah,
they're doing like live podcast tapings, comedy shows. Everything is
Comic Con. Two of the best nerds ever. Oh, there's
no question about it.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
And Comentrons obviously brings tons of action and excitement to
San Diego, and it has created incredible debates here. And
we'll get back to some of our nerd debates, but
before we do, we're gonna play some Jim Blossoms for
you here. After that we'll see what's trending with TD
one on one five KGB one O one five KGB

(44:24):
trending with.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
TD, John Bon Jovie. I wish I could quit you
like you quit your show.

Speaker 4 (44:30):
Last night in Madison Square Guard he's walked off the
stage ninety.

Speaker 2 (44:34):
Minutes into the set.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Actually no, it was actually kind of sad, apparently as
a sinus infection. But about ninety minutes into the set
last night at his show, he told the crowd, Hey,
I haven't talked to anybody about anything, but don't throw
away your ticket stubs. I'm gonna figure something out. Okay,
just hold on to them. We'll figure out how to reschedule,
but I'm gonna have to cool it for the night.
And then he walked off the stage because.

Speaker 1 (44:56):
He wasn't feeling well.

Speaker 4 (44:57):
Yeah, I mean, ninety minutes into a show is the
whole show for a lot of people.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Yeah, I will say if I sign up to go
see any band or comedic performance, if they give me
an hour and a half of entertainment, I'll feel pretty satisfied. Now,
there are certain musicians. We just went to Ed Sheeran
earlier this week. TD you brought your family, I brought mine,
and he played a three hour set.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
So I'm sure John.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
Bon Jovi felt like he owed this audience something, and
especially given the venue and given the importance of making
sure that that crowd is appeased.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
Yeah, he's probably doing the right thing.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
His set is usually two hours fifteen minutes. Yeah, there's
video out now for basically the entirety of living on
a prayer. The audience was singing it, and he was
just in the front of the stage like pointing the microphone. Yeah,
I mean, and when he grabbed the mic and said, hey,
I gotta cool it, his voice.

Speaker 1 (45:50):
Was going, ah, I mean, people get sick it happened,
and also he just had throat surgery right fixed his
vocal right.

Speaker 2 (45:57):
Pretty cool though to be, you know, to say something
like hey, hang on the tickets out and the.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Crowd was cheering when he said that, they're real boots,
and you.

Speaker 4 (46:03):
Know what, anything I've seen online people have been very
positive about it, like, hey, thanks for being cool.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Yeah, that is the right way to handle that.

Speaker 5 (46:09):
Man.

Speaker 4 (46:10):
If you are a Batman fan, such as Fletch, you
can purchase the mansion that served as Batman's Wayne Manner
in the nineteen sixty TV series. It sold, oh, just
a couple of years ago for about twenty million. Now
it's for sale for thirty two million dollars. However, it
was built in nineteen twenty. It is in Pasadena, so

(46:32):
the one hundred year old house will also have to
carry not only the thirty two million dollar price tag,
but the staff that goes along with it. It's another
three hundred thousand dollars a year.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
Holy smokes, Wait, they come with the house? Yes, Like
you can't see it seems that there is a contract.
You can't buy the house and not bring the staff
with it. Doesn't appear so not.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
That I can see when you say staff, do you
mean like an actual staff that you hold in your hand,
like almost like like a like an old lore or
a king of a kingdom where you you you you
gallantly slam the staff on the ground and make proclamations.

Speaker 4 (47:06):
I was thinking it was a butler and a cleaning service,
and then some sort of yard upkeeap service.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
But now that you say that, maybe that's what they
did mean. Yeah, some sort of magical stick. We'll do
some research there. But in the meantime, Fletch, you are
home shopping right for you and your level lovely wife,
Candle and you guys.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
Have been searching for the place. I kind of feel
like Pasadena would be a great neighborhood. Don't look now, folks,
to make you the home prices dropping?

Speaker 4 (47:32):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Wow wow wow?

Speaker 2 (47:33):
So is our space in stock? Men'll say anything about that?

Speaker 4 (47:36):
God could God? I had some controversy up in the
hills up in the mountains. So the big bear bald
eagles right, uh huh. Jackie apparently was attacked several days
ago by a couple of rogue eagles younger eagles. Oh lord,
they took Jackie. She's now at a vet somewhere being treated.

(47:56):
She's getting blood transfusions. Wow, they're trying to revive her.
But Shadow, her mate, has been spotted with a younger eagle.
Got oh, nest, what actually hurt my heart? I was
also torn here?

Speaker 1 (48:15):
What is going on? You just put me through? Jackie's
in the hospital. Scared about that? Okay, but ten minutes
and Shadows aren't he on the younger chick? Shadow? All
I'm saying is Shadow may think he's a widower. How
does he know where the heck Jackie ran off to
I honestly, TD.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
Was going with that story. Shadow was seen outside her
hospital room.

Speaker 1 (48:39):
That's what I thought. You're in his eyes because this
is a love story for the ages.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
Nope, no, No, he's holding around filled her out. Another
eagle is another eagle man?

Speaker 5 (48:49):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (48:50):
Honestly, you know what that when when he went bald,
I thought he was going through a midlife crisis. And
now it's confirmed. Now it's confirmed. Unbelievable, Shadow, you dog
or eagle?

Speaker 10 (49:01):
You know? Now?

Speaker 4 (49:02):
Now I question whether or not that Shadow hired these
other two.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
Eagles to attack jack You think this was a professional hit?

Speaker 4 (49:10):
Well, I also saw that Shadow opened up a life
insurance policy on checks.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
And need to get a law to a lot of
only eagles, right content creators h and we know how
you know you want to talk about.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
Bald They just put a lake in their backyard. I
saw unreal, unreal?

Speaker 9 (49:28):
All right?

Speaker 1 (49:29):
If you want to win tickets to zz Top and
Cheap Trick, they're playing North Island Credit Union Amphitheater.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
I'm calling that other eagle Cheap Trick.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
That show is coming up on August fourth, and you
can get yourself tickets at ticketmaster dot com or win
them on one on one five kgb dot com, or
you could just call eight at eight five seven on
one on one five collar ten. You're going, We're back.
It's bigger. It's TD and Fletch one on one five KGB.
And we've been talking about this all day yesterday as well,
because we're thrilled to have them joining us in studio

(49:57):
here today. And you can see them on stage age
at American Comedy Co Downtown in the gas Lamp where
it is chaotic with Comic Con going on. He's going
to be doing shows with Kevin Smith, his co star
in Jay and Silent Bob. All the different renditions of
that movie. It is Jason Muse joining us on air. Heayhoh,

(50:22):
we are thrilled to have you in. I mean, look,
thank you, Maul Ratz, Jay and Silent Bob Jane, Silent
Bob strike Back.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
I mean all the cameos in different movies.

Speaker 1 (50:31):
You portrayed Jay, but all of your other work, you're
in my eyes, Hollywood Royalty and all of our eyes.
You're you're you're a part of like you're part of
a subculture that became cool. Like it really it really,
it's amazing the trajectory of your career because it's sort
of mapped and matched our interests because we were comic

(50:54):
book nerds, all of us grown up. We love the
rise to success that these movies have had, and you've
kind of lived it. So what does comic com mean
to you?

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Jason? It's it's been.

Speaker 11 (51:06):
It's been surreal because we started coming in ninety seven
that I remember. I think Kevin's remembers coming in ninety five,
but and I believe I might have been here. And
I always say ninety seven because that's when I remember.
But I know that Malrats was ninety five, and Kevin
and I came for Malrats and we used to come.
It was you know, we lived in New Jersey still,
and I remember they'd fly us out here, they'd put

(51:28):
us up in the hotel, and then like Friday, we'd
do like a four hour signing and pictures and stuff,
and then Saturday, and it was just so surreal because
again growing up in New Jersey, there was like a
couple of conventions in like church basements. And now we're
in San Diego, which isn't as it wasn't as big
as it is now, but it was still huge back

(51:49):
in ninety.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Five, and it was so much fun.

Speaker 11 (51:53):
And it wasn't before Iron Man, Avengers and all the
movies came out and everyone was into anime, and and
they all come from all over the like it's huge now,
but it's just been it's been amazing. And I've been
coming every year since. There's a few years, you know,
I wasn't doing so well that I missed some years.
But I've been coming since then, and I've watched it grow.

(52:17):
So I still love to come, and I still get
that feeling when you first pull in and you just
see like the side of the building, the Hilton is
I got a big banner of like the new Wolverine game,
and you know the train car is covered and it's
it is.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
It's a pretty amazing thing.

Speaker 11 (52:35):
I always tell everyone they have to come once, like
save your money and try to make the trip down here,
because I've been to New York Comic Con and it's amazing.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
It's huge, but it.

Speaker 11 (52:46):
Doesn't have the same like gas Lamp and the whole
city becomes part of comic Con.

Speaker 9 (52:52):
It.

Speaker 11 (52:54):
Yes, it's amazing. So it's been surreal. Man, it's not
something again. I didn't plan on doing the movies for
so many years and then doing our shows, like like
you guys said, tonight, we have two shows. Kevin and
I are doing Jay and Sumpafer in his house, and
then right after we're gonna be reading We're in a
Marvel book, Kevin, where Jay Jay's a future past comic

(53:14):
book where Jay and Bob meet the whole Marvel universe technically,
and so we're gonna read that on stage with some
guests are gonna come on stage with us and read
some of the characters and stuff. And then and then
Saturday night, I have my own solo show which I've
been doing for about three years now called Jamuse Diary

(53:35):
of a Man Child and it's a stand up comedy.
I tell stories about my you know, now my father.
I have a eleven year old daughter, and I have
a three year old son. My son, you know, runs
around and puts his penis and things and and and
so you know, yeah, no, it's really funny. My wife's
always like, that's your boy. Yes it is, Yes, it
is man.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
And that's an American comedy company downtown. If you've never been,
you're missing out. I mean that is that is the room.

Speaker 5 (54:03):
Man.

Speaker 2 (54:04):
It is a great place to be.

Speaker 4 (54:05):
But you're you're kind of a comic book nerd right,
What got you into comics?

Speaker 12 (54:09):
You know?

Speaker 11 (54:10):
Kevin and Walton and I don't know if anyone, if
anyone has seen Comic Book Men. It was on AMC
for about six seven years. You know, I used to
go to this community center. Kevin Smith and I grew
up in the same town. We'll tell this story real quick.
We grew up in the same town, Islands, New Jersey,
went to the same school, but we weren't friends. He
was four years older than me. But when he when
he graduated, he started working at community center. I used

(54:33):
to go to and him Walt Flannagan from Comic book
Men and Brian Johnson were the supervisors of all the kids,
and there was pool tables and foosball and they gave
you snacks and all that. But I used to go
there and they would be in the corner reading comics
and doing things and laughing and having a good old time.
And I remember going up to one day, were like,
what are you guys doing in here? You're always having
such a fun time, and they're like, get out of here.

(54:55):
We're doing man stuff. And I'm like, oh, well, what's
this man stuff? And they're like, we're reading com books, kid,
you know. And just so I would leave them alone
because I kept being like, well, what's that tell me?

Speaker 10 (55:07):
More?

Speaker 11 (55:07):
They're like, you're fourteen years old, go away. We're eighteen
year old. They were eighteen, nineteen year old, you know, teenagers.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
They were like, go away.

Speaker 11 (55:14):
Walt Flannagan gave me like fifteen of his old comic
books and I went home and read them all man
and I fell in love with it. It was escape
into this you know, other universe. And then I'd go
and I'd start making bets with wall on foosball. I
was pretty decent he was really good. But if I won,
he'd give me. I'll give you twenty comic books, you know.
But if you lose, you got to wear that shirt

(55:36):
for a week straight, you know, And like I had.
My grandma used to I used to live my grandma.
My grandma would buy shirts like Sport Town and it
would have like a dog with a tennis racket hockey stick,
and I'd had to wear.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
That for a week straight.

Speaker 11 (55:49):
And people would like, whoa, You've been wearing that same shirt,
and I'm like, yeah, I lost the bed against wall,
you know, but it is It's what made me fall
in love with comics. It was the intro to my comics.
And then they Kevin used to drive me up to
New York. We used to go to this comic convention
in this church basement, which was my first introduction to
comic convention, which again wasn't very big. It was a
church basement, but it was like all these different vendors

(56:11):
and it was like wow, oh my gosh. And then
all of a sudden, we're getting invited to Chicago. Was
the World Comic Convention every year in San Diego, in
New York.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
And the New Dude, it's it's unbelievable your path that
brought you here again. Jason Mugh is going to be
live on stage with his buddy Kevin Smith tonight. He's
going to do the Diary of a Man Child tomorrow
night along with Hollywood Babble on stage again with Kevin
Smith tomorrow night as well.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
We're thrilled you're in San Diego. We're thrilled to meet you.

Speaker 1 (56:40):
Loads of success in your future, man, because you have
entertained us.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
For literally decades. You literally, I mean helped raise me
through through high school. Thank you, Thanks love.

Speaker 11 (56:50):
Before we get to go, if you guys could check out,
I have a new show on.

Speaker 1 (56:53):
You too myself.

Speaker 11 (56:54):
It's called five Thanks for talking about its awesome.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
Thanks, yeah, yeah, good.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Go to you Tube.

Speaker 1 (57:00):
Check out five Things with Jason Muse. It's seriously awesome.
A ton of amazing guests. The recent Why with Fred
Armison was great.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
Thank you dude.

Speaker 1 (57:09):
We love you. Good luck tonight tomorrow night. Americancomedico dot
Com for tickets.

Speaker 2 (57:15):

Speaker 2 (57:19):
Just got stopped in air, goes down down, untire my
Badglet's time more CRUs into the weekend.

Speaker 13 (57:24):
Big Rich, TD and Fletch present Bar Card Friday, brocking
by Kegan Bottle with the best election of bourbon, whiskey, tequila,
Private Section Bottles and more.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
Probably I drink too much, way too much. I got
my doctor your especially, it was an all of it.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Now, let's bore some drinks, Let's pour some drinks. Indeed,
it is, in fact a bar Card Friday, brought to
you by the legendary Kega and Bottle. Ten locations all

(57:59):

Speaker 2 (58:07):

missed you last week.

Speaker 10 (58:10):
But no, man, I miss you guys. I was listening
you guys did good well man, Well, how many stores
you up to now? Is number fourteen? Number fourteen.

Speaker 3 (58:18):
My brother in law, who lives in Chicago, was just saying,
I need to phond a good liquor store. I'm a
way home and I'm like you idiot. Keg and Model
the West Loop right in the West.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
That's what I was. Yeah, God, he not listen every week,
you know, you know where? You know what, I know
he's not going to medical school.

Speaker 1 (58:35):
No, and you know what, honestly, he's gonna need a
medical doctor after we break his legs in several places
because he's such a stupid idiot.

Speaker 5 (58:43):
God.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
It is a perfect introduction to our first guest here
on on Barkhar Friday, Yasmin Kanja, I say, first guests
are only guy. Yeah, it's right, our celebrity bartender, the
daughter of the owner and operator of Keg and Bottle
t Kanja. Yes, me, and this is your first time
in the studio, and we apologize to you for us.

Speaker 9 (59:06):
Oh no, you guys are great.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
Yeah, that's okay. She's only had a minute of us
right now. She came in, Yeah, about two minutes.

Speaker 1 (59:15):
She's a great reader because she read that line perfectly
in the checks in the maut. Okay, so you are
you just finished your undergrad in Northeastern, you're in Boston.
You spend another year in Boston applying to medical schools.
You're soon to be a brand new medical student in Arizona.
And your last stop, literally one of your last Stops

(59:37):
in San Diego is spending the morning with us drinking.

Speaker 9 (59:40):
Yes, I'm so excited to be here.

Speaker 4 (59:43):
And you apparently have a couple of signature drinks you're
gonna make for us.

Speaker 1 (59:47):
Yes, I am right, okay, so excited about this. We're
going to be unveiling those in just a few minutes.
But there's an array of mixers and spirits and even
some olives. And my excitement is peaking because I do
feel like there might be dirty Martini in her future.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Yes, wow, tell me if my guess is correct.

Speaker 9 (01:00:08):
It's correct?

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (01:00:09):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Wow? Wow? You actually like dirty martinis?

Speaker 9 (01:00:13):
I have them?

Speaker 1 (01:00:14):
You just kind of plug your nose and drink. No, no, no, no, no, no,
yes me talk some sense into this dolt. A dirty Martini.
It's it's like an elevated drink. It's something that you know,
the upper crust of society partakes, and it's something that
suggests everybody out out there that not only are you
intelligent enough to handle the likes of a dirty Martini,

(01:00:36):
but you're but.

Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
You also drink all the juice out of the jar
after you eat the olives.

Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Okay, well, listen, that was that might have been a
mistake And did I have some gaess room intestinal issues afterwards?

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Sure, But I love pimentos and and they stuff them
in thoselves and the only way to get to them is.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
If you eat the entire olives. Yes, I mean you're
you're going off to medical schools. Is your dad upset?

Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
Is he sad?

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Does he feel like you're failure because you're the liquor game?

Speaker 5 (01:01:02):
Yes, he tells me all the time. Come on, why
do you put yourself through all this stress? Just come
work for us? And I'm like, sorry, Dad.

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
It is a bar car Friday, brought to you by
Keg and Bottle ten locations all throughout San Diego fourteen
open nation wide, all owned and operated by Tony Kanja
and his wonderful daughter, Yasmin Kanja is playing our host
bartender here on the air this morning. Yazmin, thank you
for coming into the studio this morning.

Speaker 9 (01:01:34):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
And the ingredients are out and the first drink has
been unveiled and it is going to be an appaol Sprits,
one of your.

Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Favorites, Yes, one of my favorites.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Okay, all right, So she's spent some time in Italy
or for for us. I mean that feels like a
land far far away. I've never been myself. What was
that time like, going and touring around Italy?

Speaker 9 (01:01:59):
It was amazing, but it was made even better with
the natural spirits.

Speaker 10 (01:02:03):
Wow, that's that's what I always say. Did you find limit?
I gotta teach you some business. You gotta get paid
to say stuff like that. That's a perfect commercial.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
Is a doctor, ye, Tony, she did.

Speaker 4 (01:02:14):
She did find the ingredients in Italy were not as
good as she could find at any of the ten now.

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
County.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
Yeah. The apparol spirits originated in the Venano region of
northern Italy, specifically tracing its roots to the cities of
Padoin and Venice. Beautiful, beautiful places of the fountains. The architecture, however,
certainly didn't just read.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
That on Google. That has just been emblazoned into my memory.

Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
However, perfected in the hills of Mission in San Diego,
near a Kagan location, where there are ten all throughout
the county.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
That's correctly so.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
In the perfect aperol sprits, you you need to have
the the prosecco, you need to have the apperaol, you
need to have a splash of the club soda or
the sparkling water.

Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
But what what would you say?

Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
Do you like a stronger run with more of the
apaol liqueur or do you like it more balanced?

Speaker 9 (01:03:10):
I like it more balanced? Are important?

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Yeah, yeah, I've always said that, and unfortunately you look
around the room, there is a lot there's no balance.
As a matter of fact, we watched TD fall over.
He stumbled over his own feet earlier today because he's top.
My favorite day ever was when TD fell out of
his chair.

Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
That was fun for me. Do I remember it? Yeah,
you guys all laughed and laughed. You talk about it
every day. I can't forget it.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
It's not you falling down, it's how long it took
you to get back up. It was, honestly like watching
a turtle on his back.

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
Well, I will say that falling.

Speaker 4 (01:03:45):
Out of the chair, I thought I could stop myself
from doing it for about ninety seconds. That's how long
it took me to slide out of the chair. It
was the longest fall. It was the longest fall ever.
This is going to be one of the shortest shows
ever because we're having so much fun. Cannot wait to
try Yasmin's apperall sprits, thank you again for making it

(01:04:05):
for us. And if you want to win one thousand
dollars on the air right now, all you gotta do is.

Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
Listen for that keyword one oh one five KGB trending
with TD.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
Well, here we go.

Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
The NBA's all time leading score has made an announcement.
Did it on social media this morning, saying it will
be his and I quote last decision, and that comes
after he strongly considered retirement. That's according to him, I'm
talking about Lebron James. Lebron James is a Philadelphia seventy
six Wow, kind of comes.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Out of nowhere.

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
But also last week he left a little breadcrumb if
anyone missed it. Lebron James in a one of his
editions of the HBO show The Shop, he said, trust
the process, kind of offhanded. And this is a throwback
to like ten years ago the seventy six ers whld
modo as a team was trust the process.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
So people are already tying it back to a little comedy.
That's that's where we go. Yeah, champagne popping.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
Yeah, it is a barkhar Friday, and well, Lebron James
has made an announcement that he's going to be new
to the city. We're saying goodbye to a friend and
and a family member in this city. Y has Mean Kanja.
Tony Kanja's daughter, owner and operator of Keg and Bottle
all throughout this city is taken off for medical school,

(01:05:26):
and she's celebrating with us by making some of her
favorite drinks on a barkar Friday this morning. And you
just put the finishing touches he has Mean on an
operall sprit and this looks perfect.

Speaker 9 (01:05:38):

Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
Nine thirty times around in the Yeah, that's the best
one I've ever had.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
That is honestly the best one I've ever had.

Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
I feel like I'm just staring out the cliffs off
the Malfy Coast right now.

Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
I might visit Lake Como later. I don't know if
the villa is ready. She definitely went to all those
places back to back to back. That's that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
I mean this really, it's a it's a drink that
transports you immediately poolside at like a fancy resort.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
With the newest place.

Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Well, I mean yeah, well actually yeah, almost all of
the resorts I go to resorts. Do you go to
horny lap? Go what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
I guess you do have to take a lap. I
have to take a horny lap.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
It's the HORNYUS joke of the day there is Okay,
do I take my aperol?

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Everybody jealous?

Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
Yeah? Yeah, man, yeah think then oh you know what,
we failed to mention this, but yes, I mean, thank
you so much for the respect you paid to TD
this morning. You are going to be a doctor. You're
going to Midwestern out in Arizona. You're going to be
attending medical school. The only doctor that TD goes to
is doctor Pepper. Yes, he's already had an og Doctor

(01:07:20):
Pepper this morning. And you've brought with you five different
bottles of doctor Pepper.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
Yes, we got diet doctor Pepper, regular doctor Pepper, strawberry
and cream, Doctor Pepper cream soda, Doctor Pepper, and doctor
Pepper Cherry, which is a lead.

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
You know what, I've had the Doctor Pepper Cherry, and
I can I can promise you it's one of my favorites.
I'm really curious about that vanilla cream, Doctor Pepper.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
I don't know if he's I don't know if he's
gonna share.

Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
Wait, hold on, I walk away, and all of a sudden,
you're drinking my doctor Pepper.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
I didn't you know it such conversation.

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
You just made the.

Speaker 10 (01:07:53):
Correlation with you as me becoming a doctor, and the
only doctor we ever have in here is doctor doctor Peppery.

Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
Now is yes? I mean, only you can really answer
this is doctor Pepper, an actual doctor.

Speaker 9 (01:08:04):
I don't think so he is.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
Yeah, sure it's medication. Is that your pediatrician TD.

Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
It is a Barcard Friday, brought to you by Keg
and Bottle. Check out KEG the letter Endbottle dot Com.
Get your hands on some aperol, get your hands on
some champagne. You can have it all shipped to your
house if you're far and beyond the realm of San Diego.
And it's a good I mean, it's a good idea
because the values on that website are tremendous. But if

(01:08:33):
you're in San Diego, any of the ten locations, you
can purchase what we are now calling I would argue
the drink of the year. It's the month of July,
we're about to enter August, and this Aperol Sprits that
Yasmin Tony Kang's daughter created for us is absolutely delectable.
So yes, I mean thank you again for the the

(01:08:54):
def touch and the mixology that went into making.

Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
This Aperol Sprits. Of course, well now now you're running
off to medical school, you're leaving in mere days. Yes,
do you have friends over in Arizona already that know
you're showing up? No, I'm starting fresh, okay, yeah, get
rid of the old one.

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
Yeah. Honestly, you know, I've been saying to Tony for
a long time, I don't like that group she's hanging
with me. It's time to move on, so in a
big way, you know. But since you're going to medical school,
you walked in here and immediately had advice for us.
You said that the air pods, and this is through research,
clinical research that's been done, the wireless AirPods that everybody wears,

(01:09:36):
or the earbuds that everybody wears, whether it's a knockoff
brand or the Apple brand, they're all bad for you.

Speaker 9 (01:09:41):
Why all that radiation by your brain is just not great?

Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
And let me tell you there's a reason why you
see all the celebrities with the wires nowadays.

Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
Really, so you're saying it's not just some cool trendy
thing to go backwards. Wait, but at what age do
you get brain cancer?

Speaker 7 (01:09:59):
I need?

Speaker 3 (01:10:00):
Yeah, I do find them convenient there in my ear
any time I'm right here, the air bods are in
my ear?

Speaker 1 (01:10:07):
Can I ask this question you as mean, is is
like a sign that you may have a tumor growing
that you're you have a lower IQ?

Speaker 9 (01:10:17):
Because I mean, there could be some correlation, but I
can't say.

Speaker 4 (01:10:20):
What about a daily headache with lower IQ? Yeah that
could be What about what about an affinity for doctor Pepper?

Speaker 9 (01:10:29):
There definitely might be something going on there.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
I should probably call someone. Yeah, yeah, actually, well the
doctor's in.

Speaker 4 (01:10:35):
Y mean, man, you are going to make friends so
easy with keg and bottle connections, right, Oh my god?

Speaker 7 (01:10:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
Can you imagine he's a cake and moved her in
and she and she goes, dad, you know, we need
to go shop, to go shopping. Yeah, well, of course,
and literally the stuff that you see on the bar
is what I bought for her.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
I'm sure I got Father of the Year awards through
that because it was freshman year. But she's like, but
she was a freshman at twenty one, that's right. Yeah,
yeah of course, yeah, yeah, yeah, of course yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:11:11):
And we always do drink our spirits is responsibly. But
coming up next again one of my favorite drinks of
all time, the Yasmine. All that yeahs, the Yasmine dirty
Martini is going to be served up on a bar

Standing byas yas Mean is shaking up some delicious dirty
martinis and she has been playing host bartender the entire morning.
I'll tell you what she's gonna Her shoulders is gonna
be sore because she's made like eight of these martinis.

Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
All of a sudden, we're getting guests from outside.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
The studio from coming and let's go. They saw that
she's here. Yeah, y mean, you make a hell of
an aperol sprits. We're gonna we're gonna sip on the
martinis that you served us here. Now, in your opinion,
what makes the perfect dirty martini?

Speaker 9 (01:12:40):
Just the right amount of olive juice?

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Yeah, what is the right amount of all of juice?
All of it.

Speaker 13 (01:12:47):
There?

Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
It is taking another one?

Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Why I would have to take a lot for that
was so great and you're so smooth. You are such
a jerk, I mean, but I love you. I love
you for who you are.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
You know what he's trying to get forced himself to
take a lap so he doesn't have to drink a
dirty Martinis.

Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
Oh I love you so much? And yes, mean my god,
this might Why are there too?

Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
Why are you.

Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
So so tony? Kana just walked over to Ted's glass
and he gave him an olive juice floater in his
dirty Martini?

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
I feel like this is I feel like you need that.
You feel like I needed more of you. Why are
the olives in here?

Speaker 7 (01:13:29):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
You know why I like?

Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
And tell me?

Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
Tell me yes, I mean if you feel the same way.
I like a drink with a snack.

Speaker 9 (01:13:35):
Oh me too, Yeah, you always have to have a snack.

Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
And so like you got a savory drink there and
guess what at the bottom of you got olives? Your favorite?
How many calories are you getting out of an olive?
So it's not about the calories, it's.

Speaker 9 (01:13:48):
About you don't count when you're drinking.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
Is there with the pretzel that's in the Bible? I
almost almost just got covered in Jerney Martini. Hey it
could you make us to drink with cumbos? Maybe not
your cheese and pretzel flavor? Wow, cowbos would be awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
Does I mean that extra pepper and that olive.

Speaker 1 (01:14:13):
Is this the one with the.

Speaker 2 (01:14:13):
Tongue coming out of it?

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:14:15):
So one of them, one of them, she says, when
I said, hey, what are the ingredients? And she tells
you two different kind of olives. Couldn't be like religious
put two wallows. No, she wanted two different ones. So
the ones got the pimento and the ones got the
spicy pepper.

Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
Pepper.

Speaker 1 (01:14:29):
Okay, So I used to make dirty Martini's yas mean
with like a garlic stuff all oh wow, okay, and
uh my favorite is blue cheese. Obviously when you know
the bartender of the restaurant, they hand stuff the.

who used to play in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:15:57):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (01:15:58):
Olives are gross in general. It's some crazy things. Only
because you forced me to, Tony. It's the only reason
this is. This is for he has me and my daughter. God,
you're going to offend my daughter. You are such a
You're such a jerk. Drink the drink that was like

(01:16:19):

Speaker 1 (01:16:37):
It's for your health, doctors orders.

Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
I eat the regular one first because the other one
is a little spice. You know that's a regular one.
It looks like something crawled in something. That's where all
the flavor is. Oh my god, it's really good.

Speaker 12 (01:16:59):
Oh I do you believe that was the first time
we saw something throw up on Friday?
