Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is a special presentation of iHeartMedia Sports on Youth
Country one oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
And with that, it's time for high school football right
here on Moose Country one O six point seven AFM,
Moose one O six dot com and iHeartRadio. Hello again,
everybody know what sports here? Dan Zoon's there. Dan, We've
got a good one for you. A rivalry from out
here in western Wisconsin as the boys Bill Bulldogs here

(01:30):
hosting the Glenwood City Hilltoppers here in some week more
action than Welcome to the broadcast. It's a rainy night,
it's cooled off a little bit, but a big rivalry
game between these two teams, two strong teams coming in.
What are you looking for?

Speaker 3 (01:46):
And who doesn't love a game in the elements? I mean,
come on, it's no game, rain game, any game. It's
good football. And especially between these two teams that are
pretty decent rivals, and especially being a top the dun
Saint Croix, it's gonna be a really interesting one, especially
with the hensity these two teams bring.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Absolutely you touched on it here, but coming into this one,
these are two very strong teams. Of course, Boyceville comes
in too, and oh They've won their first two games
by a combined score of get this, one hundred and
seven to nothing. That's pretty good.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
I think people say that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah, we we'll tell you that's pretty good. Glen Wood City. Meanwhile,
just to step behind there at two and one started
off two and oh lost a heartbreaker last week to Grantsville.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Grantsburg and that's they were all saying, no, you know,
it's a it's a it's a one of those names.
But that was number four ring Grandsberg too. That shows
just how wrong this team, this glamou'd see team can be.
And that's why if your boysmail, you gotta watch out
because these teams, these teams love to play spoiler and
spoiler teams are especially Diamond doesn't here in Dune, Saint

(02:47):
Croix and most of these high school division and most
of these high school divisions, Uh, you gotta watch out.
But that's why it's gonna be a fun game though.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Oh yeah, it's gonna be tons of fun. I think
Mother nature adding to that a little bit with this rainstorm,
no lightning in the vicinity as of yet, so we're
gonna play the heavy stuff should be passed us and
i gotta tell you here in my second year calling
high school football games with you, Dan here on Moose
Country one oh six point seven FM and I Heart Radio.
Actually last year we were at it doesn't matter, but

(03:18):
this is.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
They know where we were last time, one of those stations,
one of those stations.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
This is the first time I've been able to call
a game here in the elements. I'm telling you football
belongs outside, and I'm sure you'd agree as somebody who's
played in these games. As it looks like Glenwood City
will be kicking off to Boyceville going from right to left.
As we look at it, quick look at the uniform
matchup as we get started. For the visiting Glenwood City Hilltoppers,
white helmets, white jerseys with red and blue numbers and

(03:46):
blue pants. Meanwhile, for the Boyceville Bulldogs, it's purple helmets,
black jerseys and purple pants. Dan, We're ready and here
it comes. The kickoff is fielded at about the twenty
by Boysville on the far side of the screen the field,
excuse me is Leslie is the return man. He gets
it up to about the forty and that's where the
Bulldogs will start off to night's festivities and.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
A solid patient return there by. Leslie too, just kind
of waiting for his blockers to get ahead of him
and find a little bit of a scene, which he
did getting to the forty and a great starting field
position there for Boyceville.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Get ready to go here, Boyceville looking to maintain their
good record this season. Their quarterback Carson Romhild leads them
out onto the field as we get started first and
ten from the forty yard line, eleven minutes and fifty
five seconds left to go here in quarter number one.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yeah, and this team, I mean you touched on it
before one hundred and seven to zero. I mean it
speaks for itself. But still this team leads atop the
conference in multiple statistical categories. Especially with these players and
Carson romhels on nearly the top and passing touchdowns. It's
gonna be interesting to see what they do with him today.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Romhild and the shotgun. He's gonna run it himself. Coming
to the near side on first and ten, He's able
to get to maybe about the forty two to forty
three game of two or three that time, second down.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
And that was a great job there by. The Glenwood
City defensive line to just close down the gap and
not really wet rom Heiled run free on that end there,
we'll pick up a couple of yards, though.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Gain of two makes it second and eight here for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
And this this defense for Glenwood City has been a
very good defense throughout this first three games. And I
mean that Grandsburg game, it was really almost a blowout
for the longest time up until the end of it.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Second and eight from the forty two. Officially is rom
Heiled in the backfield. No, he's under center, and they
hand the ball off to Zach Heldon Helen drum and
Helen Drunk is able to fight forward to about the
forty five yard line, and that's where he's hit and dropped,
and so it'll be third and five. It'll be an
interesting play call here for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Yeah, and especially because it's it's wet out, you don't
want to be throwing around the ball too much. You
want to really keep it on the ground. That's how
most of these teams kind of run. Especially when you're
in the elements like this, you gotta always watch out
for fumbles, gotta watch out for mishandling of the ball,
so we could see another run here, but honestly, I'd
like to see him do maybe something with the play action.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Let's see, it's third and five right from their own
forty five yard line here for the Boysville Bulldogs. Back
to pass goes Romhild fires far sided off the fingertips incomplete.
Looks like incomplete he was looking for h Ain't quite
fine enough. It looks like it's Bradley Mays the wide
receiver on that time. It'll be fourth and.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Five now, and I mean that's what we were talking
about there. A little bit too high there for maze,
but you gotta come down with those. But it's gonna
be hard, especially in the elements like this rain start
coming down again. We can see it, especially with the
lights out here. It's coming down a lot, and you're
gonna have to really really get a good grip on
that ball to come down with that, especially against a
hard defense like this.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Looks like Boysville's going to leave the offense out there
on fourth and five from their own side of midfield,
Romhild and the shotgun two wide receivers on the far side.
He's back to pass on fourth and five. A block
is picked up to throw his deep downfield and it's
hauled in Glenn and Leslie, Oh no, he dropped it.
He had it in his hands for a moment. Could

(07:09):
not bring that one down and it's a turnover on downs.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
And yeah, I mean, you're telling me he had that
square in his bread basket, but he just could not
haul that in and it just popped out freely, almost
no contact at all. It's just telling you just how
the elements are affecting this game. Already in the first quarter.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
A lot of umbrellas in the stands in front of us,
and you know that's what happens. You know, when you
when you see rain, you expect running football and sometimes
airing it out doesn't quite work. So we'll see what
Glenwood City does. They take it over first and ten
on the boys fill forty five as faking the handoff.

(07:48):
Actually it is a handoff, and up past the forty
to about the thirty eight is the ball carrier for
Glenwood's City trying to find a number. Looks like that's
Preston Rvy, the junior running back.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
And he's had a great season so far. Just they
also and we see this with a bunch of different teams,
but they try to spread out the ball and have
more running backs in that backfield, try and get that
handoff just so they can keep their runners fresh, especially Avery,
who can really run through some players.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
So it'll be a gain of six now, second and
four here for Glenwood's City quarterback in the shotgun for
Glenwood City as its main and made well fake the handoff.
He throws over the middle in some pressure and he's
got a man complete. It's a first down and a

(08:39):
little bit more to about the thirty one yard line.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Main's past is complete.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Big missed opportunity for this defense here by boyseball miss
sack on that far left edge. But you gotta really
get your handling. You gotta get you gotta understand that
these are going to effect. You gotta find that way
to settle down when you're on defense and just slow
up to the football, especially when it's a quick runner
like that. It's gonna be tough out there to especially

(09:05):
plant in the ground and try and turn up field.
So you guys gotta really sit there and wait for
them to get to you at field.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Looking slick already a little bit of mud here as
uh Riba and thee ahead of the snap. Here on
first and tent, there's a flag. It's a good thing
as the snap went well above the head of the
quarterback Jackson May.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah, and it seems like it's gonna be all sides
on the Bulldogs fight. I mean all sides on the defense. Actually,
I thought maybe one of the offensive linemen may have
jumped off sides a little bit. But now just itching
to get forward, and it's that shows just what this
energy of this game is gonna be. Like everyone's gonna
be antsy to get forward, get that first hit in there,
make that first contact, and especially Boysville, who's a really strong,

(09:48):
really heavy hitting team, they're gonna really be the ones
to want to be the first ones to the ball.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
It'll be first and five now from the twenty five
yard line back to pass throwing but incomplete is Maine
and is looking towards the far sideline. He wanted Brody
Reva and could not get it there, and that'll bring
up second and five.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
No, it's and if you didn't have nos. It's been
a lot of conservative play calling so far here, just
kind of trying to test what the defense is willing
to give up here, especially with how the rain has
been coming down. I mean, that's the safest way to
be moving this football.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
So Maine leads the Hilltoppers back out there incompletion on
first down. Still second and five here from the twenty
five for Glenwood City. Maine's in the shotgun, a man
in motion, and now movement on that offensive line, and
that'll be a false start.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
A procedure on Glenwood City five yard penalty.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Glenwood City backs up five yard what would have been
the original line of scrimmage if not for that, offsides
makes it second and.

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Ten five yards forward, five yards backwards, and we're just
back into the same spot is where we started at.
But now it's second and ten here, it's going to
be a different It's going to be a difficult decision here.
If they can't get a completion here, can't get much
running yards as a third down and long is gonna
be a really difficult pickup for them.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Second and ten for Maine and the Hilltoppers. He hands
the ball off up the middle and fighting forward for
a gain of about six or seven. Trying to find
a number on that young ball carry. Looks like that
was Preston RV. On the carry, he fights forward for
a gain of seven, makes it third and short.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Nothing world bending here on these runs, but just enough
to really get the ball rolling here. As Preston RV
has seventy nine yards on the ground, he averages almost
five yards of carry. And that's that's about as consistent
as you can get in this division.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, five yards of carry certainly a number that any
coach would be happy with. Is it's third and three
now from the twenty three yard line for Glenwood's City.
It'll be a hand off again up the middle close
to that line to gain right at the twenty. I'm
not sure they got there.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
Yeah, they're got to mark him just short. Looks like
almost an inch almost an inch short there, just barely.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
It'll be fourth and inches here for Glenwood City as
it's seven forty seven left to go here in the
first quarter. Happy to have you alongside us right here
on the moves.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
And it's gonna be interesting to see what they try
and run here, I mean, most especially with how the
elements are gonna affect the game. You think of maybe
a sneak or something quick up the gut is maybe
the option here. But we've seen trickery in the past
with this option.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Made in the shotgun with Rvey the lone back. As
Rby gets the handoff, he fights forward, he gets past
the line and oh do they mark him inside? He's
down at the one for Preston Rvy. He got the
first down and more for Glenwood City. And now this
is a Boycevield defense who has yet to give up
a point so far this year, and it's they've got

(12:51):
to feel pretty dicey first and one they mark it
right at the fine.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, they're right in the danger zone right now. This
And that was a great run by the way Avery.
I mean he got stopped almost at the fifteen, but
that's why you keep your legs moving and keep moving forward.
Get that push that pile forward, and he just kept
on running right after the fact.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
First down and goal from the five yard line. Seven
minutes to play here in the first quarters, Glenwood City
sends a man in motion. Now looks like it's a
time out here from the goal line. So the Hilltoppers
burn there first to the half and we'll step aside.
We'll be right back after this here on your home
for high School football.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one six
point seven.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Welcome back as it is first in goal from the
five here for Glenwood's City. As we've just learned that
Jackson Mayne as their backup quarterback in there six point
fifty six left to go. After a timeout from the
Glenwood City Hilltoppers and the Boyceville Bulldogs defense trying not
to allow their first points of the season. As Maine
is in the shotgun one back in the backfield area,

(14:34):
it'll be a fumble the ball as lose. It's fallen
on by a lineman for the Hilltoppers, so Glenwood City
retains possession. What we've been talking through the early going
the first quarter about the weather conditions and the ball
becoming harder to handle, Dan and we saw it right there. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
And I hate to sound like a broken record with this,
but I mean it's getting even more slick out there
as the ring comes down, and it's just gonna get
worse and worse and worse. You're just gonna have to
really get a giant grip on that football. I gotta
get the monster grip where you're just two hands on
the ball and just squeeze it as hard as you
can because you're not gonna be able to hold onto
that when you have someone trying to rip that through.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Hey, that's real football. Second and ten Main is back
to pass. He's gonna throw deep corner of the end zone.
It's caught. Is he inbounds? Yes, it's a touchdown for
Glenwood City as they take a six to nothing lead.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
I mean, what a way to target the big body
in the background that was number eighty one William Dreiling.
Just a great job there by the junior to just
sky the ball and come down on his back inbounds.
Beautiful throw and a great catch for the touchdown.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
And Drailing did a great job there high pointing that
football and bringing it in in bounds. Like you said,
six nothing and it looks like Glenwood City's gonna go
for two here, six to eleven left to play in
the first quarter. Man in the shotgun again this time
once again, a handoff looks like it's RV and Arvey
pushes forward. He's in and that will make it an

(16:03):
eight to nothing lead for Glenwood City. On the road
here in Boyceville. We'll be right back here after this.
I'm your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Welcome back, everybody. We're here in the rain in Boyceville
where Glenwood City has taken an eight to nothing lead
over these Boysville Bulldogs. Glenwood City clicks off from left
to right. That one fielded about the twenty three and
fighting now thirty thirty five before he runs it o
getting out there. That's Carson rome Heild rom Heild thirty

(17:12):
twenty five, twenty fifteen, ten to five touchdown price Mild.
Carson rome Hild, the quarterback and the kick returner. He says,
we don't even need to go on offense. We'll tie
the game right here. And Rome Hill.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Does excellent game, excellent run, excellent everything. The blocking was perfect.
Rome Hill took that took what the defense gave him,
and that was a big gap for him to run.
And you give Carson Romel just that much space, he's
gonna take it to the house on you. And he
did just that.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Looked like about the thirty five, maybe the thirty seven.
He ran into the pile was able to exit to
his right, get along that sideline. It acts like an
extra blocker sometimes, and from there on it was a
foot race and there was no one catching.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Him, nothing but green grass.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Boyceville looking to tie this game with a two point
conversion of their own, and so Rome Hild will go
out there. He's under center, two backs in the backfield,
one wide receiver toward the far sideline for Boyceville. Man
in motion. It's a handoff as plowing forward. Looks like
that'll be Zach hellingdrum and Helling drum. They're gonna rule

(18:23):
him short, so it will not be a tie game.
It is a two point game. Five point fifty eight
left to go here in the first quarter. Glenwood City eight,
Boyceville six. Here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
It's your home for high school football. Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Welcome back, everybody. A failed two point conversion attempt is
all that separates these two teams. About midway through the
first quarter eight to six, Glenwood City leading Boyceville. Noah
Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside you here in a rainy one.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Yeah, and it's been really affecting that both of these teams.
I mean, we've seen a couple of drop balls, some
fumbles around here. I mean Gwenwood City had to get
backed up as they kicked this one off.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Bettell. He kicks it away here for Boyceville. That one
field at about the ten by Glenwood City making a
move inside to about the thirty. A helmet is on
the field and let taken down at the thirty is
the ballcarrier for Glenwood City. One of the special teamers
lost his hat for Boyceville. He looks like he's okay.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Yeah, he got up and he was just kind of
ready to go. He didn't even look for his helm
and one of his teammates gave it to him. He
was ready to go into the next play without it.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
The old Jason Witten thing going on there.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Oh yeah, I mean you gotta love that kind of
tough and especially for your team, and especially in a
game like this in eight to six one two, And man,
this has been some action already and we still have
five minutes agoing just this first quarter.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Absolutely here is Glenwood City comes to the line, they'll
have it first intent at their own thirty yard line,
and they're hanging on to a two point lead over
these Boyceville Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Yeah, and we've seen a lot of different different movement
here from the Glenwood City offense or formations. I should say.
They've thrown the ball, they've passed the ball, they or
they've ran the ball. It's been all over the place,
and they really haven't been afraid to move it.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
And in the shotgun hands the ball off looks like
that is RV once again on first down, and RV
fights for a game of a couple brings up.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Second in law and a great tackle there from Tuckle
Tucker Winstrom. I mean, he absolutely stuck him right there.
They look like he maybe could have gotten for another
two or three plus yards, but Lanstram just brought him
right down.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Five and a half minutes left to go here in
the first it'll be second and seven after the gain
of six for Glenwood City and Rvy.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Ben Rvy's already had like good start to his game too.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Hey, you gotta think what the weather conditions. He'll carry
the load a lot. As they break the huddle, come
to the line. It's made in the shotgun again. They'll
right behind the line going nowhere was RV that time?
That'll be a lawsuit. A couple, maybe more than a couple.
That'll bring up third down and long. Looks like they're
gonna market third and ten.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Yeah, on a great job there by Clayton's score to
make that first contact in there. He completely bursted right
through the middle of the line and just was right
there and ready to go, ready to catch that running
back right in his arms.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
So gain of three on first down, loss of three
on second brings up third and ten here for Glenwood's
City from their own thirty yards. Luck hill Toppers come
to the line Maine in the shotgun again four wide
receivers to on either side of the offensive line, just
one back in the backfield. Think that's RV again. They
handed to Arvy. Rvy fights forward to about we'll call

(22:15):
that the thirty five yard line and a late flag
coming in off after the play. So we'll have to
see on this one. But right now it stands fourth
and five. Let's check on that penalty.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Especially if it's after the play. It could be a
unsportsmanlike and you don't want that.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Looks like it is going against Boycefeld didn't quite see
what that hand signal was from here.

Speaker 3 (22:39):
No, I didn't see it either. He did it really quickly.
But either way, it's a first down for boysfil now
and sudden are not voice ball, but a first down
for Glenwood City now and sends them up in a
per position after they really couldn't get anything going on
that first uh first few snaps.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Yeah, all the way up to the fifty yard line.
The midfield stripe here for Glenn City. Big penalty there
and something especially after a third down stop Boycefield can't
be happy about. It's the Hilltoppers come back to the
line of scrimmage first and ten right from midfield one
wide receiver on the far side other than that one
back in the backfield alongside Maine. They hand the ball

(23:18):
once again and no, it looks like it was a
fake handoff. Maine's gonna keep it and Maine's going to
maybe get into the forty nine yard line before he stopped.
Will be a gain of one second and nine.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
It was a good read. It just he didn't really
get the right step in. He maybe could have gotten
another couple of yards there. But right now, Boyce has
been closing down those gaps on the run, especially after
they kind of just let him march right up the
field in that first possession.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Inside of three and a half minutes left to go
here in the first quarter, it's what you would call
a steady rain here in Boyceville, Wisconsin. Is Maine leads
the Glenwood City Hilltoppers back to the line now second
and nine from the forty nine one wide receiver toward
the near side for Glenwood City. It's another handoff and
met right at the line of scrimmage is the ball carrier. Carrier.

(24:07):
Believe that's Rvy again. Rvy's white jersey already looking more
like the terf than the color had started off with
no game third and nine.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
And that's probably one of the more fun things to
have happened. When you're out there playing, especially in white jerseys,
going out on the field when it's been him be rainning,
you're gonna end up in the game. You're gonna end
up knowing who's been playing out there by just the
look of their jerseys at the end, especially when it's
all completely green.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
Will be third down to nine from the forty nine
yard line here for Glenwood City. They come out a
shotgun look. Two wide receivers near side and two on
the far side as well. Once again it is a
handoff to Rvy and Rvy this time maybe a gain
of two or three would he will still be fourth
and long here for the Hilltoppers. As this time the

(24:55):
Boysville Bulldog defense stands firm and stops them.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
And they have not thrown up single pass really in
this entire drive. I mean, it's been run, run, run,
and so far nothing's really gone their way, especially against
this defense that's really closed down those gaps. But who knows,
it looks like they're the potential they could go for
this year. I mean, it is the spot. They are
in Boiceful territory, so this would be or they're close

(25:19):
to No, they are in Voiceful territory. There we go. Yeah,
this would be the spot to go for it, especially
with a shorter field.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
It's fourth and eight from the Boyceville forty eight for
Glenwood's city. They've got to get to the forty for
a new set of downs. Motion ahead of the snap
now their shotgun. Look for Maine. Oh, it looks like
it will be a pass, fake punt and that one
is incomplete. Oh god, so that ball is batted down.

(25:48):
We'll have a turnover on downs. Looked like they were
going to go for it, and then at the last
moment they had their pumped or way back there, but
they didn't snap it to him. Instead, they snapped it
to Maine again and Maine couldn't don't find anything. It'll
be a turnover and first down for Boyceville.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
No, and it looks like boys will knew they were
going to go for it there on fourth down too.
They had almost the defensive end on the far left
side had almost predicted that pass was gonna go out
that way, especially when they saw him split out. But
just a great job there to really close that down
by Boyceville. But if you're Glenwood City, you kind of
wish you would have just punted that away there.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Boysville comes out here. Carson Rome Hild will hand the
ball off on first and ten that one time at
that time running the outside is Tucker Livestrom, and Livestrom's
got a first down out of bounds at the forty
yard line of Bledwood's city. That'll be a Boyceville yours
down and a.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Great cutback there by Tucker Lindstrom. I mean he absolutely
took a big cut to his left and just completely
turned it up field. Got a great first down, and
he's been doing a great job this season. Eight carries
for one hundred and sixteen yards. That is fourteen and
a half yards per carry. Oh, that is an insane
yard per carry there.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
That doesn't sound really You sure you got your math.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Right on that fourteen It says it right here, It
says it right here. Then three touchdowns on top.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Of that as well. What a stat line. Crazy Rumhild
under center. Now on first and ten, it'll be another handoff.
This time the ball goes to Zach Hellendrum and Helendrung
gets up to about the forty excuse me, the thirty
seven yard line before he's stopped, and then he'll bring
up second down.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
Yeah, and he's kind of their big bruiser too. He
just kind of is able to run right over people.
And you saw it right there. He just kept his
legs moving and even though he got probably could have
gotten stopped maybe after a yard or two, he just
kept on moving forward and pushed the pile upwards to
about four.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Yards inside of a minute forty five seconds left to
go here in the first quarter, Boysville's got it second
and six after the game of four, that time from
Helendrum Romhild under center. This time he fakes the handoff,
rolls to his right on second and four, Crozi's got
a man complete. Looks like that should be a first down,
and once again it's Zach Helendrum, this time on the reception,

(28:01):
we'll see where they started when they spotted. Excuse me,
but it looks like we're gonna call that a Boyceville
first down right at the thirty.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
And that's the thing when you have a running back
group like this for boys fail, it really opens up
the game for you, especially a dynamic offense such as
this boysfel team. When you have rom Heils, who could
take off for about seventy yards down the field, you
have Lindstrom who could take off for seventy yards down
the field and has before too. This has been a
very fun game to watch, and there's been They've been

(28:31):
all over this place on offense.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Boycevil comes to the line now inside of ten seconds left,
they get one more playoffs. It's a toss to Lindstrom
on the far side. Lindstrom running left, makes a couple
of guys miss, breaks one tackle, but only gets back
to the line of scrimmage, and it looks like that
will do it, so no game will be second and
ten from the thirty when we come back, and after

(28:54):
one quarter of play, it's glen Wood City eight and
Boyceville six right here on your home for I was
about to say express baseball for high school football.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 10 (29:10):

Speaker 1 (29:41):
It's your home for high school football. Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Welcome back, everybody. We reached the second quarter of play
here from Boyceville, Wisconsin, as the Bulldogs trailing the Glenwood
City Hilltoppers by a score of eight to six. Both
teams two touchdowns, with Glenwood City the two point conversion
that is the difference. Noah Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside.
You're right here on Moose Country one O six point seven. Dan,
After that first quarter, would you notice.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
I mean, it's been a back and forth game so far,
but Glenwood City has not really taken advantage on offense.
They have had a couple of chances there to really
get something going on some drives, but really stalled out
after their second possession. Now Boyceville on the march and
they've just been like absolutely cutting up the field on
this limit City defense.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Officially a loss of one on that carry. To end
the quarter, it'll be second and eleven from the thirty
one quick toss now for Boyceville to land in Leslie
and Leslie fights forward maybe to about that original line
of scrimmage gain of one if anything for Leslie the
senior wide receiver will be third and long.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
And those plays towards the boundary line have really worked
out well for Boysville. But now Glenwood City's kind of
adjusted to it and have put their defensive ends a
little bit out wider to really close down, close down
the gaps on the outside, and it has really been
working for them because now that's two back to back
possessions or back to back plays where it's gone backwards.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
B gain gain of one makes it third and ten
right from the thirty for Boysville and Rome Hild under
center again, man in motion once again. That's Leslie back
to pass. Rolling to his left is rom Hilled. He
has to step up, evades a couple of Glenwood City hilltoppers.
He's gonna run for it, and he's got the first
down up pass the twenty nearly to the fifteen before

(31:30):
he's out of bounds. Carson Rome hill to making something
out of nothing, first down Boyceville.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
And I mean, that's exactly what you want out of
your quarterback. And that's why it's so hard to defend
a team like this, especially when they go drop back
for passing. You have to really contain that quarterback otherwise
he's gonna make you pay.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Yeah, I mean, he looked dead to rights. He looked
like he was about to be sandwiched between two Hilltoppers.
Just stepped up, maneuvered in that pocket, found on an
escape route, and you know, that was a lot of
fun to watch. It makes for a first down here
for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
He also picked up a blocker upfield too, that really
helped open up the field for him.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
First down and ten yards to go right from the
eighteen yard line. Home Hild fires complete on the near side.
It's Jacoby Kirshner and Kershner makes hi Man miss all
the way to the goal line and in for the
boys fil touchdown. God Jacoby Kershner.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
Wow, I mean, what a job by Kirshner. He almost
he could have been stopped right there at the round
the ten yard line. He kept going forward and he
made it in. Just a great job by him, great
throw on the outside edge and some great blocking to
set it up. Great job there, great play.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Kept the legs moving, got the second effort and he's
into the end zone. Right now, it's twelve to eight,
and it looks like we'll have to see what Boysfel's
gonna do here on this pat, whether it will be
a two point conversion to try and keep up with
Glenwood City or just a plain old fashioned pat. Looks
like they're gonna go for two once again, as it's

(33:01):
an empty set. Roam Hild all alone, oh, no one
back in the backfield, but four wide receivers. Rome Hild
is under pressure and he is dumped in the backfield
on the two point conversion of ten. So Boysville over
two when going for two, they've still got a six
point lead. It's twelve to eight, ten thirty four left
in the first half, right, oh, four point lead. Excuse

(33:23):
me who said I could do many?

Speaker 3 (33:25):
We don't do math here. This is we are the
sports announcers. Yeah, English made it basically.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Welcome, Well, we'll send it to break now here on
your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
For the last.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Welcome back everybody. Boyceville has taken a twelve to eight
lead here ten thirty four left to go. My name
is Noah Schwartz alongside Dan Zones and is boys Phil
ready to kick it away back to Glenwood City.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yeah, and shout out these fans out here with standing
the rain. Some of them have unbrellas, some of them
don't have umbrellas.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Though he kick is away, moving from right to left,
it will be fielded inside the five by Glenwood City.
Looks like that's Riley Dickman on their return. As Dickman
tries to fight forward to about the twenty five yard line,
looks like he gets about the twenty three and Matt
is where the hill Talkers will take over city.

Speaker 3 (34:53):
Yeah, and what I was saying, I mean, this least
fan base is here. They came all the way out,
Glenwood came all the way out to Boysville. Both of
the see him. Very intense rivalry and it shows, I mean,
just looking at the route out here, it's been packed
and really it's been raining this whole time. Not a
lot of people have left out from their stands, not
a lot of people have even gotten up.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
The rain has, uh, it's backed off a little bit,
you know, a little bit lighter, but it is still
coming down and coming down pretty good. As Glenwood City
will have first intent from their own twenty three yard line.
Maine is in the shotgun. Two wide receivers, one on
either side and one back. They handed to the back.
Looks like that's going to be pressed in RV, and

(35:34):
RV fights forward, maybe back to the line second down.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
May hand, they're gonna really need to get more pushed
out here, especially against an offense that's been running as
well as Boys Bail has been throughout this game. I mean,
you can't, you can't stall out multiple times in a row.
You need to really get a first down here and
push it forward, whether that's maybe even going into some
passing plays here. They didn't really go for any passing
plays in that last in that last drive they had.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Game of three officially makes it second and seven. Also,
they say that Maine kept that one on a keeper,
So second and seven from their own twenty six for
Glenwood City, and once again it'll be a handoff. This
time it is RV and Preston RV, not a whole
lot there. Third down RV no.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
And they should really try the same route that boys
Bow went, which was kind of one putting more of
their skill players on the edges, trying to get something
on the outside and try and get their players into
more of a into more of space on that outside edge.
But so far they just haven't really moved towards that,
towards the boundary line really at all, just kind of
sticking towards either up the gut or maybe in the

(36:37):
in the sea gaps for the run game.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Nine to sixteen left to play here in the second quarter,
because it'll be third and eight officially a loss of
one for Glenwood City. Bill Toppers come to the line,
one tied end, two wide receivers, and one back in
the backfield alongside Maine. In the shotgun, there'll be a
high snap. Looks like some trouble. It's a fubble. I'm

(37:01):
not sure who's on top of it, but it's down
in the bank field here on third down for Glenwood
City and looking for a sign Boysville Ball Boyceville dolls
that he'll be a recovery for the Bulldogs. That'll live
it up this home crowd here in Boyceville with eight
to forty seven left, good field position for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (37:21):
Great field position for them right there. And I mean,
that is just exactly not what he wanted to have happen.
If you were Glenwood City. I mean, it looks like
they were set up ready to get some pass going.
But I don't know what happened with the snap, if
maybe something someone maybe if he caught his hand on
the ground or something like that, but it almost looked
like that was very off center in between the quarterback

(37:42):
and the running back.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Yeah, maybe a little slip or something, a little too
much moisture on the ball. Either way, it's first in
ten right from the twenty four here for the Boyceville Bulldogs.
Rom Hilled, he's going to roll out to his left.
I think he's gonna run with this one, and he's
going to he's got a blocker inside the five trucks.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
A man's into the end zone.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Carson rome Hill looking like George Love last night, lower
in the shoulder for another Boyceville Bulldogs touchdown.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
He is just so emphatic out there, just great leader
on that offense. But then can also lower the shoulder
and run right through a guy. That's the exact kind
of quarterback you want in your backfield.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Right now, it's a ten point lead for Boysville, eighteen
to eight, eight thirty seven left pending that pat of course.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
And this has just been a great comeback here from Boyceville.
I mean, starting off giving up your first touchdown of
the entire season, points of the entire season, I should say,
they've given up nothing up until this game. But then
to come back and score eighteen in a row.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Great job, eighteen unanswered here for Boysville and they're not
done once again going for two? Is it will be?
It all looks like it'll be a keeper. Quick toss
to the outside. It'll be Leslie and Leslie. He is
just short at the one, but a little triggeration there

(39:09):
a couple of misdirections for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Glad to see it.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
Can't say they're not trying. They've got a ten point lead,
eight thirty seven left to go on the first half.
Right here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
Welcome back everybody. Eight thirty seven left to play here
in the second quarter, Noah Schwartz and Dan Zoon's alongside
you as Boyceville leading Glenwood City by a score of
eighteen to eight here in the rain in Boyceville.

Speaker 6 (40:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
And for as good as this boysfall team has been
since that starting possession, they still haven't gotten the two
point conversion yet. That has been the one bad thing
they've done since that first possession.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Zero for three from I guess, well, it's not basketball,
but you could call it two point lad as Boyceville.
It's a squib kicked going from right to left field
at about the thirty by Glenwood City and up to
about I think he'll give them the forty that time
for Jackson Maine the kick returner, and that's where Glenwood

(40:46):
City will take over.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
Yeah, and Jackson Maine kick returner and quarterback too. It
seems like an injured player on the ground right now
for Boyceville.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Yeah, let's take a moment here, eight thirty two left.
We'll step aside here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
Welcome back, everybody. Eight thirty two left to go here
from Boyceville, I left to go on the first half,
I should say from Boysville. Is Boysville leading Glenwood City
by a score of eighteen to eight. Noa. Schwartz and
Dan Zon's alongside you. It looks like there's still an
injured bulldog down on the field. But we'll take a
moment here and we'll talk about what we've seen through

(42:03):
the first quarter and a half here, Dan, so let's
just do a quick recap for you. Glenwood's City. On
the second drive of the game, they were able to
break through getting into the end zone and snapping that
scoreless streak here for Boysville's defense.

Speaker 3 (42:17):
Yeah, and that's a big one too, especially considering they
were just one hundred and seven to nothing. I mean,
we brought that up multiple times in that first quarter.
It's an insane stat because teams like that they tend
to go on and do great things. But also a
great job by William Drealing. That's his first catch of
the season too, and it came up in a big
way to really start off this game. But ever since

(42:40):
that drive, it's been nothing for Glenwood City. The offense
has really stalled out here is thankfully they were able
to get the injured Bulldog up to his feet, and
it's been almost almost all sided towards Boysville throughout this
last three drives. Now eighteen to eight. I mean, they
scored eighteen three points and Glenn would See has yet

(43:01):
to come back to this.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
Yep, three unanswered touchdowns from Boyceville, oh for three on
the two point conversion attempt, but two of them run
into the end zone by their Carson Rome Hilt. We's
been a lot of fun to watch. He's really put
on a show for these Bulldogs and.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
He's impacted all over the place. I mean, special teams, offense, defense,
you name it. He's just been all over and it's
been so fun to watch so far.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
In this game, it will be first and ten from
the forty yard line. Is thankfully the injured Bulldog able
to get to the sidelines under his own steam. Glenwood
City will take over as Jackson Mayne comes to the
line leading the Hilltoppers out there. Love that nickname the Hilltoppers.
Oh yeah, Maine in the shotgun. He'll hand the ball
off and uh oh, looks like it'll be a fumble.

(43:49):
A flag is down two as looked like Maine actually
kept that one, ran to his left, then just went
into the pile.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
And so it just wasn't anything really to go for him.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yeah, not a whole lot of space. Looks like it'll
be a face mask call against Boyceville. So that will
back or excuse me, that'll move Glenwood City forwards by
a gain of I think that'll be ten yards fifteen.

Speaker 3 (44:16):
Yards team actually, and that puts them right in Boysful
territory now too.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Does it makes it first to ten from the Boyceville
forty five here for Glenwood City, eight twenty five left
to go.

Speaker 3 (44:27):
And I mean this is if you're to Glenwood City,
this is where you need to snap the streak of
nothing Burgers. On these last couple of drives here you
have a chance now to get at some points on
the board, even if it's just a field goal for
that matter, to really cut this thing down eighteen to eight.
Right now, you're still in this game.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Eight minutes left to go. Is it's a handoff on
first and ten, that ball goes to Preston Rvy, the
junior Harvey fights forward to about there. Looks like that'll
be the forty one maybe the forty two yard line.
Still a gain of for that time for Glenwood City
makes it second.

Speaker 3 (45:01):
And we haven't really seen as much. I mean, this
offense is a lot different when they have Brody Olsen
out there. He's obviously not in for this game. Four
hundred and thirty nine yards passing on the season, four touchdowns
of two interceptions, and also not to mention his rushing
stats to eighteen attempts for ninety seven yards. That's a
five point four yard per carry with four touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (45:22):
Maine's out there on second and six, it'll be a
keeper from Maine, and Maine is wrapped up nowhere to
go after making the move on the Reid option. Looks
like in on that stop was Zach Hellistro.

Speaker 3 (45:34):
And just nothing going there. He just couldn't find anything
on that outside edge. It looked like he maybe had
a slight opening, but that closed very quickly.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
Loss of two makes it now third and eight with
seven minutes left to go here in the second quarter
for Glenwood City, you were talking about nothing burgers earlier.
As Glenwood City comes to the line, I'd be remiss
if I didn't mention the cheeseburgers that they serve here
in Boysville. Unbelievable, the best concession stand food I've had
in quite some time. Eighteen to say that again, eighteen

(46:04):
to eight, six forty seven left on third and eighth,
they'll throw a deep down the near sideline. Oh, off
the fingertips of brock Wood as what the junior wide
receiver was opening about the twenty five yard line, just
off the tips of his fingers. Makes it fourth and eight.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Yeah, and that was a skyball if I've ever seen one,
but right right to the hands though of number thirteen.
Brock wood. He had that. He had that right there,
and as I usually say, if it hits your hands,
you gotta catch that. But it is very wet and
the rain is still coming down. It's not as bad
as it was earlier, but it's still gonna make a
difference on whether you're gonna be able to catch a ball,

(46:41):
especially like that where it's you have to almost high
point it.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Yeah, not as heavy, but still just as much of
it here is on fourth and eight, it looks like
Glenwood City's gonna go for it again, but this time
from the forty three yard line of Boysville back to
pass his main he's gonna have to roll out to
his left and escape, but he's got space to go,
just not enough, as he is taken down out a bounds,
just a few yards shy off that line to gain

(47:06):
will be eight turnover on downs and once again Boyceville
will take over possession first and.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
Tent And that was one of their biggest plays that
they've had in this quarter actually, But a great job
there to really get out of the pocket and find
some space, just not enough to get that, but still
you gotta love it when your quarterback is willing to
go out there and really risk his body to get
those extra yards to make that first down. Just not
enough on that one.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
So it's six point thirty four left to go here
in the second quarter, eighteen to eight, Boyceville leading, and
they will look to take some time off that clock
on this drive and maybe even add to that lead
here as they start off at their own thirty seven
yard line.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Yeah, and this is your chance of your boys fail
to really blow this thing open. I mean it's still
very close, and even with that, it's still going to
be after this half.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Rome Hill in the shotgun. No, he's under center, excuse me,
back to pass and fires to the near side. Complete
is that's Kirshner. Kirshner stays in bounds past midfield and
all the way down to the Glenwood City forty. That'll
be plenty enough for a boys Phil Bulldog first down.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
And what a job there by Jacoby Kirschner. The junior
four receptions on the season, one hundred and sixty six yards.
That's twenty one yards a catch with three touchdowns. I mean,
this is the type of a guy you tried to
target down in those midfield situations.

Speaker 2 (48:25):
That's what they did and you know he got them
a whole boltload of yards there. It's a big gain
for Boysvil. Will make it first inten from the Glenwood
City forty two.

Speaker 3 (48:35):
They may need that boat if it keeps raining like this.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
Robe Hills under center here on first intent. This time
it'll be a handoff and up the middle. Looks like
that's Tucker Lindstrom fighting. I'm past the forty to about
the thirty nine. We'll see where they spot them. But
second in medium, and you also.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
Have to get a compliment to the job of this
offensive line. They've been really hitting their spots in Glenwood
defensive line such as this is a hard one to stop.
But really Boyce's been putting the kaibash on it.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Well, give him a gain of three officially, second and
seven for Boysville. As rome Hild under center again, they
send a man in motion. That's Leslie and it'll be
a fake hand off, rolling out to his right, dropping,
climbing up the pocket and throwing deep down the field
is rome Hild, but just a little bit too deep.
Therefore Bradley Mays, as May's was in the end zone,

(49:28):
that ball about you get five seven yards over his head, thought.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Yeah, and especially with that when you're when you're trying
to run as a wide receiver, you're really trying not
to slip, especially in these routes, especially with how so
that field is. And you could just tell that Bradley
Mays wasn't really going as fast as he really could have,
and he took his helmet off on the sideline. He
knew he could have probably gotten that. But you have
to really steady your feet out there because you don't

(49:52):
want to be falling and tripping over yourself and giving
you up an interception.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
Potentially, absolutely not, as it'll be third and seven now
balls at the forty of Glenwood City here for boys
Phil five eighteen left to go here and the clock
stopped after that incompletion for romhah held excuse me as
Rome hild is under center, two backs in the backfield
this time for the Bulldogs on third and seven will

(50:17):
be a handoff. The ball goes to Zach Hellendrum as
Helen Drung will push the pile forward, gets nearly to
the thirty five call in the thirty six but still
well short. It will be fourth and you know, I
think i'd call that fourth and fourth and four.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
Fourth and four fourth of manageable really for this voicemail team.
And Helen Droung has been really running hard out there.
I mean he's the guy you put out there to
really bruise up and get some extra yards, and he
really did. He just would not go down out there.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Fourth and four looks like they're gonna keep the offense
out on the field. Is this is four down territory?
And it looks like a what kind of bird is that?
Is that a pigeon, a blue jay? Something flies?

Speaker 3 (50:56):
Punts coming through here. Everyone's coming out for this game.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
Fourth and four and now we'll get a time out
for Boysville, So we'll step aside. Four thirty four left
to go a big fourth down On the other side
of this break, you're on your home for high school football.

Your home for high school football. Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Welcome back, everybody, four thirty four left to play in
the first half, Noah Sports and Dan Zon's alongside. You're
right here on Moose Country one O six points seven
FM and I Heart Radio. As Boycevil comes to the
line fourth and four from the Glenwood City thirty seven,
Boycevil leading by a score of eighteen to eight, Rome
Hild will come out in the shotgun. Looks like four

(52:14):
wide receivers to on either sign for the Boyceville Bulldogs
here on fourth and four, maybe closer to fourth than five.
Is back to pass throwing. That's complete. He's got a man.
Looks like that's Lexton Bennett's and Bennetts has got the
first down and more he's taken down just barely in
bounds now the twenty five yard line. That'll be another
Boyceville first down.

Speaker 3 (52:36):
Excellent play decision there to really fine get their one,
get their wide receiver out there, and Lexton Bennett's in
the middle of the field and just no one there.
He was wide open and just perfect job there by
Romhile to Rome Heild, I'm sorry to really find him
right in that middle spot and got that first down,

(52:57):
easy pick up right there.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
He first and said down for the Bulldogs from the
Glenwood City twenty five yard line, four minutes left to
go here in the first half, looked like there was
some jumping, and yet we'll see the whistle and the
flag coming out here.

Speaker 3 (53:13):
Glenn would thinking that's going against boys ball and they're
already backing up.

Speaker 2 (53:16):
Yep. That looked to me like he was gonna be
off sides, but plenty of smarter people saying no, somebody
from Boyceville jumped first. I'll be happy to be wrong
on that one. Boycefield goes backwards false start first and fifteen.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
And something the note too. I believe that this has
been widely adapted in high school football. But the players
that jump off sides and get back over before that
ball is snapped, they usually don't tend to throw a
flag on. That's usually whenever they are off sides and
then the ball is snapped is when they throw the flag.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
On it good to play heads up on that defensive
line now on first and fifteen from the thirty, it'll
be a handoff. Looks like that Zach Helen drung again,
and Helen Drung gets somewhere around the looks like he
got to somewhere around the twenty five. The original line
of scrimmage up second and eleven after a game.

Speaker 3 (54:06):
Of four, and that's why that false start really backed
them up so much. I mean, they had some real
momentum going there, but I mean one step backwards and
it can just slow your offense down and suddenly you
have to really make up some grounded especially when it's
first and fifteen. But now second and eleven your options
are open and you got some, definitely, but you've got

(54:26):
some great playmakers out there that we've seen all game long.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
So far, second and eleven still behind the sticks is Boysville.
Inside of three minutes left to go here in this
first half, they've slowed the tempo down as back to
pass now as roam hilled, he fires, got a man
complete on the far side and that will be short
of the first down, but it's own Ryan Dell.

Speaker 3 (54:49):
On the catch, and so far just really taking what
the defense has given them as a and he's just
been finding those space in between the zone on the
defense and just finding those guys in the middle of
the field, and it's been really moving them forward here.
And suddenly it's two seventeen and counting and you've already

(55:10):
taken off a lot of this clock here in the second.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
Quarter staying in bounds, not giving Glenwood City a chance
to return the ball. Is Boysville is it's now third
and two after the game of nine. There'll be a
handoff this time to Tucker Linster, who's got the first
down and more around about the tenth, but that could
be coming back. We've got a flag down on the field.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
Yeah, I think someone got caught with a hand in
the jersey.

Speaker 2 (55:35):
Holding on boys There'll be a holding ball on the
offense against Boysville. Ten yard penalty will make it third
and twelve.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
And they've been moving fast out there, and they've been
moving very well for the most part, but it's these
unforced errors as it now backs them up to third
down and twelve, and that's a very hefty penalty. You
just went from a what was a guaranteed first down
to now being backed up all the way to the
back to basically where you almost started.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
And Lindstrom thought he had the first down, but it
was called back now third and twelve inside of two
minutes left to go here in the first half. Back
to pass his Romhild throw his near side off the
fingertips and that could have been in trouble, but instead
falls harmlessly to the grass as the grass rather as
Helen Drome could not haul that one in on what

(56:26):
was a little almost a little a wheel route there.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
Yeah, a little dump off pass to that outside edge,
and it was a great play design, but just could
not find enough, could not find that grip. And that's
what we've been talking about, and what we've been saying
is going to be the emphasis of this game is
how the elements are going to play in and you
just we just saw it right there. Now you have
a fourth down and twelve and I'm not sure how

(56:50):
good their kicker is, but this would be a deep
kick if they were to attempt.

Speaker 2 (56:54):
It, certainly at the high school level. Clock stopped at
a minute thirty four left here in the second quarter. Heys,
it'll be a timeout for Boysville. We'll we get whistles
ahead of this one. You want to keep it here,
you want to send it to a break, I'll leave
it up to you.

Speaker 3 (57:08):
Let's keep it here. We got a minute thirty to
go here.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
We've been at thirty four, so we'll talk about this
one fourth and twelve, and really from the twenty seven
yard line, it is that kind of you know, decision territory.
Do you want to kick the ball? Do you want
to maybe go for it? I'm sure the twelve yards
to get to that line to gain having an impact,
And I'm sure what they're doing right now is maybe
talking it over one more time saying are we sure

(57:32):
this is the play we're gonna go with? Are we
sure this is the formation?

Speaker 3 (57:35):
Especially with it being a thirty six yard field goal
from here that bords the territory of most kickers in
this division. So unless they have a great leg out there,
they're not gonna really be able to have a chance
at that, and you're gonna set up Glenwood City with
a chance to really move down the field. But here
you have some open options. Whether you go for a
screen pass, whether you go for some trick play, you

(57:56):
have a play, and especially with how this voiceful offense
is moved, I mean, they have been able to find
gaps in this defense, whether it's been in the passing
game or the running game. It's gonna be interesting to
see what they draw up here.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Well, we've talked about the weather more often than we've
set our own names. But of course a thirty five
yard er in this kind of weather would not be
a gimmeas it looks like they'll go for it here
on fourth and twelve, Rome Hild rather back in the shotgun.
He on corks throwing to the corner of the end zone,
just out of reach his intended receiver, Landon Leslie. He

(58:30):
was wide open, just could not get under that one.
But man, Carson, rome Hill's.

Speaker 3 (58:35):
Got an arm, he definitely does, and he really had
him there. I thought that was gonna be an absolute dime.
But just this is how these elements play in. I mean,
you have to really get a good grip on the ball,
especially as a quarterback to get a good throw in there,
and you could tell it kind of just sailed on him.
And those throws have been really sailing on him. He's
had another one that kind of was overthrown in that

(58:56):
last drive as well, But for the most part, He's
been pretty good, just kind of sitting in the pocket
and finding his receivers in the middle of the field.
Just couldn't find him on that one. And now it's
Glenwood City's ball.

Speaker 2 (59:06):
Glenwood City takes over first and ten at their own
twenty seven a fumble on the snapfoot able to get
that one back to the line is Glenwood City. I
want to go back to that throw for Roll held
on fourth down. I mean, I think any quarterback at
really any level of football will tell you just how
hard it is to throw the ball accurately in the rain.
And that's a throw that we don't see many high

(59:28):
school quarterbacks make. And the fact that he left extra
air under it here in conditions like this, man, that's impressible.

Speaker 3 (59:35):
And that spiral was still tight even with that, even
with it looking like it's sailed out of his hand,
And even if you had like everyone wants to say,
oh yeah, but what if he had gloves on, that's
not going to make a difference in the rain. I'm
gonna tell you that much. It's gonna slip out almost
as much, if not more.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
Forty five seconds left to go and counting here in
the second quarter, so Glenwood City will need to run
at least one more plays. It'll be second and ten,
and it looked like there is a timeout on the field.
Not it will be Glenwood City calling that time out
with thirty eight seconds left. That gives us a chance
to recap things here as Boysville leading Glenwood City by

(01:00:11):
ten points here late in the second quarter, eighteen to eight.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
Yeah, and it's been all Boysville ever since that first
drive by Glenwood City. I mean, great adjustment here by
the coaching staff and the defense to really come back
in and not allow Glenwood to run as well as
they had. I mean, they were finding all kinds of
gaps in that defense, but with that adjustment, they closed
down those gaps and haven't let them really do anything

(01:00:35):
at all. And the passing game just has not been
there at all. In fact, they haven't really been attempting
any passes ever since really that first drive, which is
kind of interesting because I mean, right now, if you
look out there, it looks like the rain has stopped,
and while the field is very wet and it's going
to be hard to really set and stand, you kind
of expect to see some more passes here, especially with
it being so deep in the second quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Yeah, we'll have to see here is it'll be second
and ten for Glenwood's City. They've got a ways to
go if they want to even not even up the score,
but get it a little bit closer before the intermission.
But we'll see what they do here. Thirty eight seconds
left to play in the half as Maine leads the
Hilltoppers out there, another fumble again for Glenwood's City. That's

(01:01:18):
got to be three or four, and it looks like
the Hilltoppers able to fall on that one in the backfield.
See as Glenwood City retains possession, the clock still counting
inside of about twenty seconds left to go there.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
And the rest might need to do a better job
of wiping down that ball because if Beth has been
fumbled twice in a row just based off of a snap,
I mean something needs to happen where that ball needs
there needs to get exchange for another football, or it
needs to be dried off better, because that is just
you cannot have that happened multiple times in a row.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
Yeah, especially with the rain. I think you could say
tapering off here, but that will be in the second
corner is Glenwood City does not get another playoff, and
so we go to halftime right now, Boyceville leading Glenwood
City by a score of ten to eight. Dan any
final thoughts before we send it to the halftime show.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
Yeah, it's just been a great job by Boysful to
come back into this game. After coming into this and
letting glen Wood City just march right down the field
and score opening drive touchdown, They've really closed off that
offense and has really stuffed them and stifled them in
all kinds of ways. It's gonna be an interesting thing
to see what they try and adjust in the second
half and see how Boyceful comes back from this. It

(01:02:32):
almost looked like they could have been up three scores,
but those unforced penalties have really been the biggest burden
on Boysful throughout this game. I mean, well, unforced penalties
and errors, I should say too, because they've had a
couple of those going different directions. I'm guessing they're gonna
try and clean those up and talk about it in
the locker room. But so far, it's been a great
game between these two, and who doesn't love a game

(01:02:54):
in the elements here still a little bit rainy, maybe
not as much anymore. It's kind of closed off a
little bit, but it's they'll slick out there, and we're
seeing a lot of people run around, falling, slipping. This
is the kind of football you like to see out there.

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Absolutely no dome here, natural or no artificial turfy either,
just football the way the sport was meant to be
played here in Boysville and the Bulldogs leading the Hilltoppers
by ten here at halftime. We'll be back in two
minutes here for your halftime show. Till then, don't go anywhere,
as Moose Country one O six point seven FM is
your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
This is Friday Night lights on Moose Country one O
six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
Welcome back. Noah Schwartz and Dan Zohon's alongside you. Just
a reminder that we're past the eight o'clock hour here
in the Chippewa Valley and beyond and you're listening to
high school football right here on Moose Country one O
six point seven FM. WATQ chittech Claire, Chiple Falls, Menominee,
an iHeartRadio station. We've reached the intermission halftime here from Boyceville.

(01:03:56):
As the Boysville Bulldogs leading the Glenwood City Hilltop by
a score of eighteen to eight. NOA Schwartz here, Dan
Zoon's there, Dan, I know you're busy at work trying
to find these out of town scores as yes, I am.
It's for the game at hand. I know we've talked
about it a lot through the lake going with that
first half, but of course that first touchdown here for

(01:04:18):
Glenwood City getting them on the board eight nothing, and
then three straight unanswered touchdowns here for Boysville three zero
for three on the two point conversions though, as that
has put the score right at eighteen to eight. It's
been a fun one to watch here as the rain
turns into a mist and kind of tapers off here

(01:04:38):
in Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
Yeah, it's been an interesting one between these two teams.
It's this eighteen and now. It honestly could have been
a twenty six to eight or even a twenty four
to eight lead for this BOYEFL team. But really just
the unforced errors by the team have really held them
back from blowing this game open. But on the other hand,
same thing can be sent for Glenwiz as well.

Speaker 10 (01:05:01):
Just not a lot of.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
Consistency from the offense after having a very device, very
dynamic first drive that really pushed this offense forward, and
it looked like they were going to be able to
really take control of the game, especially with how strong
of a start they had. I mean, Preston RVI looked excellent,
excellent running that football up the field, but he just

(01:05:22):
could not find anything in the second quarter at all.
It's gonna be interesting to see if they try and
maybe drop some screenplays for him, dropped some different plays
to get him out into the open field because right now,
running it up the gut is not really doing it
for him.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
Hey, it'll be interesting to see. Of course, Boyceville allowing
their first points of the season on that first half
touchdown in Glenwood's City, they looked like they were on fire,
but they just could not get anything started after that.
Boysville's defense really showed up after allowing that first score
of the game. And that's elite, is the way it is.

Speaker 12 (01:05:53):
Dan.

Speaker 2 (01:05:53):
You say you've got some scores.

Speaker 3 (01:05:54):
Now I don't have scores because I'm waiting for the
internet connection to start getting a little bit better in here.
But so far I can list off what other teams
are going to be playing tonight and are playing tonight
right now. We have Turtle Lake playing Spring Valley, Turtle
Lake two and one taking on Spring Valley. We've had
a little bit of a rougher start to the season
at one and two they'll play at Spring Valley. That's
ongoing right now. Clear Lake taking on ladieswith as well

(01:06:18):
that one happening at Ladysmith High School. Then you have
number four Mondovie taken on Oscio Fairchild. Oscio Fairchild lost
a really bad one there to Redis, but they looked
like they had some chances there to really score in
that game. But man, Regis is just one of gonna
be one of those hard teams to beat this season
and could be a contender for a state championship. We

(01:06:39):
also have Colfax playing EPC, as well as our game
Glenwood City and Boyceville, which has been a fun one.
I think I know the score to that one.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
Yeah, I know those two teams. I've been listening to
the broadcaster that one that They've.

Speaker 3 (01:06:52):
Got a couple of broadcasters out there, they just keep
on yapp and though I have no idea what they're
talking about. Oh well, but we'll have more of those
scores for you as the game goes on and as
the internet connection gets a little bit better. It's getting
a little bit better as I speak right now, but
we'll have more updates for you as we are ongoing.

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
Absolutely we'll keep you posted on those. Just a quick
look forward at the broadcast schedule for us here on
the Moose as next week we've gotten out one but
two broadcasts coming to you on Thursday night and Friday
night of next week. First, on Thursday night at Carson
Park and Oa Claire, Wisconsin, Dan and I will be
alongside the Great Peak Canuts and of course multiple time

(01:07:32):
Northwoods League broadcast for the year, calling games for Regis
High School as they host Durand Arkansas Thursday at seven.
And then the next day, Dan and I will be
alongside you again from Spring Valley for the second time
this season as Spring Valley hosts codat That'll be Friday
at seven, and that should be a good one, of course,
always very welcoming down there at Spring Valley.

Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
Always a fun time, always a fun game.

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
We're looking forward to that. But for now, that should
wrap things up here on the halftime show once again
at your score at the half Boyceville eighteen Glenwood City eight.
We'll be back here in about eight minutes right here
on your home for high school football, Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
This is Friday Night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 6 (01:08:19):
Attention six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Welcome back, everybody. It's time for the second half. Here
from Boyceville's the Boyceville Bulldogs leading the Glenwood City Hilltoppers
by a score of eighteen to eight. Right here on
Moose Country one O six point seven FM and iHeartRadio.
Noah Schwartz alongside Dan Zon's and Dan you know, mother
Nature seems to have kind of a sick and twisted

(01:08:42):
sense of humor here as uh. The rain had tapered
off toward the end of that first half. It was
relatively dry all through halftime. Now the rain has come back,
and it's come back in a big way. We've uh
for Dan Price back in studio as well as our boss,
Dave Deville. We've had to move the the Comrax, the
exit suit that brings our broadcast to you back out

(01:09:02):
of the windows so it doesn't get wet, and so
we've got some rain coming in. But you know what,
that's just part of the fun. Dad.

Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
Yeah, that's the thing too. I mean, like it's expected
for an Elements game like this, and you know, it's
it's a wet, it's a bit wet where everything was,
but we've made do. We've adjusted, and just like how
Boycevill and Glenwood are gonna have to adjust in this
second half, especially with the rain coming back down now
it's coming down a little. Yeah, I know, it's it

(01:09:31):
literally was like a night and day difference. Like I
look back up and suddenly it was just a wall
of rain had taken over and overcome the area. But
even with that, I mean, just looking down there, we
still have a lot of fans that are just itching
to watch these two teams play, and from both sides
of the both sides of the isle. And I mean,
like I said last time, not all of them have

(01:09:52):
umbrellas on. Some of these guys are just rocking sweatshirts,
and I mean, more power to them. Got some dedicated fans.

Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
It's tough to do here. A lot of umbrellas out there,
a lot of ponchos, other jackets, but plenty of people
out there just t shirts here and you know, I
get it. It's a warm night wearing T shirts up
here in the booth, but we've got a roof over
our heads.

Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
That is true.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
We've also got a game to play. Allegedly, as Boyceville
will be kicking off to Glenwood City, they are looking
to maintain their ten point lead. Is Boyceville. They'll be
kicking from right to left here on your radio dials,
the great peeknots and would say, I think we got
all our bases covered as we get ready for the

(01:10:32):
second half.

Speaker 3 (01:10:32):
I think we do. I think we do. As they're
about to kick off here.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
All right, here comes Boyceville, Thomas Vizzli will be kicking
it away. He kicks it off from right to left.
That one bounces around the twenty. It is fielded by
a man for Glenwood City who is hit and dropped
at right about that twenty yard line. And so that
is where the Glenwood City Hilltoppers we'll take over here

(01:10:58):
on their first drive of the second and half, looking
to do something about this ten point deficit.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
Yeah, and if you're Glenwood City, you got to come
out punching in this drive. I mean this is coming
right out of halftime. You've had a chance now sit
and think things over, talk about what went wrong, talk
about where things could get better. And now you have
a chance to really go out there and get that
score and cut this lead back down, either down to
a seven point lead or even more.

Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
First and ten from the twenty one yard line. It'll
be a handoff that times the ball is carried by
Preston Rvey. Harvey breaks a tackle, he's got a first
down and more up past the thirty to the thirty five,
running to his left, first down Glenwood City.

Speaker 3 (01:11:40):
And that was just a great job there, running forward
and getting that. He looked like he had gotten completely
stone walls there in the beginning, but bounced off a
tackle and was able to make his way downfield and
pick up that first down and more.

Speaker 2 (01:11:53):
The rain is falling. It looks like in the lights
of the stadium from left to right. Left to right
is also the direction that glenn Wood City is moving.
They've got it first and ten at their own thirty four.
Maine is in the shotgun one back in the backfield
and said he's back to pass, throwing deep down the
far side. No chance that one's intercepted at the forties
and that's brought down by who else, Carson rome Hill

(01:12:17):
roam Hilt, the starting quarterback. Two rushing touchdowns already for Boyceville.
Add an interception to that defensively as rome Hild was
just playing center field and brought that one down.

Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
And don't forget that kick return for a touchdown too.
He's literally impacted every facet of the game so far,
and it's been so interesting to watch.

Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
Like he's playing road to glory or something. This is
his save eleven minutes and twenty two seconds left to
go here in the third quarter, as Boyceville will take over.
They lead eighteen to eight over Glenwood City. As rome
Hilt leads his guys out there first and ten from
their own forty yard line. Rome Hild under center, two

(01:12:57):
backs in the backfield. It is a pitch on the
near side and uh, it's the gate of about three
or four up. He bounces forward, maybe able to make
it a gain of closer to seven or eight. As
the ball carrier that time was Andrew tom the sophomore
running back, and.

Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
A great first play to start off their drive here
as they took away that ball from Glenwood City and
now they're on the roll here getting closer towards that
midfield marker, and just been it really felt like it's
been all boysful ever since that first drive for Glenwood City,
and now you're trying to play catch up for Glenwood,
but you also have that ten point lead that you

(01:13:37):
have to still cut down too.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
It'll be a gain of eight officially, making it second
and two, but a timeout for boys bill ahead of
this second down play, So we'll step aside. We'll be
back after this right here on your home for high
school football.

Speaker 1 (01:13:52):
This is Friday Night Lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 5 (01:13:57):
For the last fifteen years, Affordable and Eau Claire has

Each year we help hundreds of patients freeing themselves from
the physical and mental trauma of a life limited by
poor oral health. If you are ready to move beyond

(01:14:20):
the days of hiding your smile, all Affordable Dentures for
a free consultation seven point five eighty five five one
zero two.

Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
Zero your home for High school football Moose Country one
six point.

Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
Seven Welcome back. Ten forty left to go on the
third quarter and second down and two for Boysville. They've
got the ball with their own forty eight yard line
home hilled under center, sends a man in motion that's Leslie,
and they fake it to Leslie hand the ball up
up the middle. It'll be a first down. And a
little bit more is that one fast forward to about

(01:14:53):
the forty six yard line to see ball carrier. That'll
be a first down for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
I'm just a great jet there from Tucker Linstrom. He's
been very consistent on the night, really finding those gaps
in the defense, and that offensive line has really been
pushing that defensive line back so far. I mean, I've
seen it feels like every other play there's a pancake
block by that offensive line. Whether it's fifty five on
that far left side or sixty three, they've all really

(01:15:22):
made an impact so far.

Speaker 2 (01:15:25):
The first intent from the forty four firing far side
complete is Rome Hill. Looks like that one was thrown
to Jeffrey Middlestat.

Speaker 3 (01:15:34):
The ball came out at the end. I don't know
if they're gonna count that as a completion or not.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
We'll have to see it's along the far sideline. They're
gonna call it an incompletion. So we'll have second and
ten here here for Boyceville from the forty four and
excuse me not middle stat It was Hellendrug on that
the intended receiver on that one.

Speaker 4 (01:15:59):
Nunciation.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
But there's been some there's been a lot of back
and forth so far between these two teams, and I mean,
this defense has been it felt like it's been out
there a lot more than this Glenwood City offense has.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
He's second and ten still from the forty four back
to pass his rome, heilled fires over the middle, gotam
man complete. That's Bennett's and Bennett's fights forward past the
thirty five to about the thirty three. That'll be another
Boycevil first time.

Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
And that crosser to Bennett's has just been money all
game long. They just have not been able to find
someone to cover him. Whether it's he's just too fast
for the linebackers out there, or there's some kind of
as mismatching coverage, but so far, I mean, there hasn't
been really much of anything going there to stop Bennett's
when he's hitting that crossing route.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
Yeah, it looks like a crossing route, maybe a little
bit of a drag route. But it's been effective for
Boyceville because it'll be first intent here from the Glenwood
City thirty four yard line instead of ten minutes left
to go here in the third quarter fake handoff, No,
it will be a handoff and plowing forward for a
gain of a couple maybe a gain of two. Is
the ball carrier that time? Helen drug for Boyceville second down.

Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
And he's been consistent for them, not really much on
that run right there, but Glenwood City, I mean, it's
such an it's a weird, inconsistent defense. They have had
times when they've been able to really stuff up running
lanes and really not allow anything. But then there's been
times with this defense have allowed some big rushing yards
where it's been a breakaway of fifteen to twenty plus yards.

(01:17:34):
So far nothing in this drive, but man, they've been
really stuffing them up in this last couple of plays.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Hey, So it'll be a quick dump off on second
and nine complete to Leslie and Leslie he's got the
first down and more up pass than twenty another first
down for Boyceville is they're inside of nine go here
in the third corner, eight forty four left to go,
and Boyceville is still leading Glenwood City by ten and
they're they've got it inside the red zone.

Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
Yeah, and that's just a great play design there to
really get And that's what I was talking about before.
They got Leslie out alone on his own, got him
in space and made the defense have to corral him
and beat that one on one. And they have not
been able to beat Leslie one on one so far
in this game. He's just too big of a body
to really take down unless you're actually putting pads on him,

(01:18:25):
which there's been a lot of arm tackling going on
out there.

Speaker 2 (01:18:28):
Rome Hild and the Bulldogs come to the line. They've
got it first and ten from the Glenwood City seventeen
back to pass all he'll have to evade to his
right now looks deep throwers to the end zone. Oh off,
the hands looked like Helen drunk the intended receiver. That one,
you know, a Packer fans, That one was a rocket
ball from rome Hild and that one bring up second down.

Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Yeah, and he had him right there. That was a
perfect pass. Just again, that rain has been such a
detriment to both of these teams. It's been really hard
to catch anything out there. And I mean when you
have a chance to really take the top off and
get a touchdown out there, especially when you can see
a beautiful scene pass like that, it's just nothing has
really been able to nothing's been really been able to

(01:19:13):
find its way.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Eight minutes on the nose left to go, and now
we'll have a timeout as it looks like Boyceville will
burn their second and a half here in the third quarter.
They've got one remaining eight minutes left to play in
the third on the nose, Boysville leading Glenwood City eighteen
to eight. And we'll step aside here on your home
for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
This is Friday night Lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 6 (01:19:39):
This is Jim.

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Welcome back. Eight minutes left to go. It'll be second
and ten from the seventeen here for boys PHL as
they are looking to extend their ten point lead. Noah
Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside you, and then we'll get
to those out of town scoreboards as soon as we've
got a minute. Here as Boysvil comes to the line,
three wide receivers two on the near side for Boysville
back to pass. Rolling to his left is Roam Hilled

(01:20:37):
here on second and ten. Now he's gonna have to
escape to his right. Now he cuts up in the pocket.
Now we're running to his right. He's passed the line
of scriwage. He's got a first down and more before
he has hit out of bounds. But there is a
flag in the back rim and this one will probably
be called back thanks to a holding pedal.

Speaker 3 (01:20:53):
There's also a late flag thrown at the end there.
I don't know if they're gonna get a late hit,
but I'm guessing that's gonna the holding penalty. Teammate supersede that.

Speaker 2 (01:21:02):
We'll have to see the holding penalty was called earlier
on in the play. I think that's how that rule works.

Speaker 3 (01:21:08):
I believe it is too uh, it's not going to
be like the NFL where they kind of offset each other.
I believe this is going to go backwards.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
And it looks like Boyceville already backing up here, So
second and long becomes second and even longer after the
penalty for the Bulldogs, and it will be a holding
call against Boyceville, and so Boycevil.

Speaker 3 (01:21:30):
Backs up and just a unfortunate And that's kind of
how this last couple of drives ever since the end
of the second quarter has gone for Boysville. As now
it's backed up even more than it was before.

Speaker 4 (01:21:43):
Two flags both on the Bulldogs. Actually it'll be declined
block of the back, which was accepted.

Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
Two flags both on the Bulldogs, and the block in
the back call rather than the holding call is accepted.
So it will be now second and twenty here for
Boysville from the twenty seven yard line, just shy at
the thirty they've got to get it all the way
to the seven for a new set of down.

Speaker 3 (01:22:08):
Yeah, and that block in the back is about five
extra yards more so that really sets them back.

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
Rome Hild under center, one wide receiver toward the far
side on second and long. He tries to roll out
on the play action look dead to rice. Now rolls
to his left, flings that one, just throwing it away
on the near sideline. It'll be third and twenty. But man, hey,
you know, Rome Hild fake the handoff, got to the
end of his drop, and there were two white jerseys

(01:22:35):
right there.

Speaker 3 (01:22:35):
Like immediately in his face. You're not even kidding, like
he had gone out of that drop. I don't think
he even saw it right away. He looked up and
they were right there. I was surprised he was able
to get away. But man, he's been doing that all
game long, whether he's had a guy on him, whether
he's almost dead to rights, he's just been able to
escape and find a way to just get rid of

(01:22:56):
the football.

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
It'll be third down and twenty yards to after the
incompletion from Rome Hills, Boysville leading Glenwood City by ten,
eighteen to eight. Under pressure again this time it's a
screen pass who landed Leslie Leslie how along the far
sideline gets forward for a gain of maybe about six
or seven A good game for Boysville. Still fourth and

(01:23:20):
pretty long.

Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
Yeah, and that's not gonna pick up as many yards,
but it's still a decent yard to really get them
in a position to maybe go for This is still
gonna be around a fourth and fourteen, maybe fourth and
fifteen here as they set this up. But this has
been this is still not a good position to be
in if you're a boys fail.

Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
Yeah. This is fourth and fifteen from the Glenwood City
twenty three yard line here for Boyce Phil six forty
three and counting left to go here in the third
quarter as Boys Phil moves from right to left. Looks
like the Glenwood City fans pretty loud here on defense.
Fourth and fifteen and boys Rull is gonna go for it.

(01:24:02):
Om hild in the shotgun, two backs beside him. He's
back to pass with the extra protection, got plenty of time,
fades to his left dose he's got a man complete
and inside the five that'll be a first down.

Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
And no one has been able to keep up with
those drags. Uh, just across the middle of the field.
I mean, that was a beautiful throw there by Romild
roam Hild. Just a great job there to just state
steady in the pocket, look for his reads. He you
could see him visibly looked through his progressions and then
find his receiver that he wanted who's wide open in

(01:24:42):
the middle of the field. Just a good job to
find that and also a great play design there by
this Boyceville coaching staff.

Speaker 2 (01:24:50):
The reason they've scored three unanswered touchdowns looking for a
fourth year. It's first in goal from the three for
Boyceville as rome Hild in the shotgun again, two wide receiver,
one on either side. Once again, two backs in the
backfield as rome Hild. He'll take the snap. He's gonna
do it himself, fighting forward. But does he get to
the goal line. He does, that'll be a touchdown for

(01:25:11):
Boysville and Carson rome Hill but wearing number seventeen looking
like Josh Allen on that touchdown run.

Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
Yeah, And it's been all roam Hill in this game.
I mean, I mean he have been calling his name
like no other. About four touchdowns for him now in
this game, not even to include his interception. And then
also i can't return touchdown. I mean, this guy has
been all over the field.

Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
Unbelievable, all four touchdowns thanks to Carson romhild Is. That
will make it a twenty four to eight ball game.
Five thirty five left to play here, and it looks
like Boyceville is going for just one. They're gonna try
and kick the point after here as the rain starting
to tape her off here in Boyceville. Their kicker out there,
Thomas Vitelli out there for the pat The staff is good,

(01:25:53):
the hold is good, and the kick splits the uprights.

Speaker 3 (01:25:56):
What are you?

Speaker 2 (01:25:57):
Five to eight? We've got some sporting got me. I'm sure.
I'm thirty five left in the third and we'll be
right back. You're on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
This is Friday night, lice on Moose Country. One oh

Your home for high school football Moose Country one oh

Speaker 2 (01:26:47):
Welcome back, everybody, twenty five to eight, Boysville leading Glenwood
City five point thirty five left to go. My name's
Noah Schwartz alongside Dan Zohon's in this one as we
continue on here in the third.

Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
Yeah, and boys Wil's been really they came out of
this half and they came out firing. And what I mean, Boyceful,
I mean roam Hill has really come out. He's came
to play for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:27:12):
They'll kick off from right to left here in the
third Glenwood City fields and about their own send across
the twenty to the twenty five and oh, all the
balls on the field once again, another fumble for Glenwood
City and Boyceville able to recover that one falling on
that football. Everything's going right for Boycevil.

Speaker 3 (01:27:33):
To night, everything's going right for Boycevil, and everything's going
wrong for Glenwood City after that first drive of this game.
That's now another fumble in this game, and I mean
boys Will's been able to clean up there so far,
but Glenwood City, I mean, you cannot be fumbling this much,
especially when you have a chance to really come back
into this game. Here.

Speaker 2 (01:27:53):
The rain has turned into a pretty light mist here.
It's all but over, but still slick out there. But
when you compare the turnovernumbers for these two teams, you
know it's really no contest. Boysville able to maintain possession
and Glenwood City just not. As it's twenty five to eight,
Boysville takes over first and ten on the Glenwood City
thirty six yard line Rome Hill. He's in the shotgun

(01:28:16):
this time on first down, back to pass, looking left,
fires left, got a man complete and that will be
Zachary Helendr and Helen dr is out of bounds on
the near side of about the thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:28:30):
And just a great move by him to really get
some extra yardage on that. He always lowers his shoulder.
He's always looking for those extra yards. Sometimes you see
when a wide receiver running back has a chance to
angle out of bounds, they usually do it. Not this man.
He's been looking for that contract contact tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
Gain of six makes it second down and four here
for rome Hill and rome Hill and Boyceville. I should
sit there, you go, so you know all these names,
you know, change it every week.

Speaker 3 (01:28:58):
And absolutely sometimes how does he get.

Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
The names mixed up? But it is Rome Hilled here
on second and four for Boyceville. He's in the shotgun,
two wide receivers toward the far side back to pass again.
He'll roll to his life there is right, there's a
flag down and now he's gonna try and run for something.
He's taken down in about the twenty five yard line.
Should be a first down if it stands, but a

(01:29:21):
flag in the backfield, so we'll have to check on
the penalty mark.

Speaker 3 (01:29:26):
It's gonna be another hold, another hold against Boysville.

Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
That's really been the only thing that has been able
to slow this Bulldog's offense tonight. Few calls going against them,
turned second and short into second and log here with
four and a half minutes to go in the third quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
Yeah, and it really has felt like about five or
six penalties now, if not more, for this Boysville team.
I mean, that's really been the driving factor of this
Glenwood City came off to a hot star but ever
since then, their defense has given up some big plays
here and there, and just they Boysfvil hasn't been able
to take advantage until recently.

Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
Pen'lly back, so up ten second and fourteen, Rome hild
all the time in the world in the pocket. We
are rolling to his right. Now he's gonna fire deep
down field to the end zone, but not close. His
intended receiver that time was Jacobi Kirshner. By Kirshner really
only in the same area code as that bad football

(01:30:24):
and it'll be third and long.

Speaker 3 (01:30:25):
Yeah, he was really trying to find someone deep down there.
They Mondovi's really changed it up. They haven't really been
sending as much pressure more. They've been putting spies out
there in as a linebacker is just kind of waiting
and watching for him to try and make a move downfield,
and so far it's contained him a little bit, but
for the most part, not that much. I mean, he's
still trying to go out there and run and truck

(01:30:46):
some people, So take it as you will. But they've
been rushing mainly three or four players.

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
So it'll be third and fourteen now from the Glenwood
City forty here for Boysville. Rome hild in the shotgun
here on third and fourteen. Long way to go. They've
got to get into about the twenty six Rome Hills
in the backfield under pressure. But it's a screen pass
complete to Leslie. Leslie on the far side. He's getting there.
He breaks the tackle, fights forward. Oh, I think that's

(01:31:15):
gotta be real close.

Speaker 3 (01:31:17):
That might get it. He may have stretched forward for that.

Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
It will be. Oh, we're gonna have to see on
the spot. In the angle we're sitting at, makes it
real tough. They have not moved the sticks yet. It's
going to be fourth and inches. There's no way that's
a whole yard. But they are marking it short fourth
and about the length of the football here for Boyceville.

(01:31:42):
So they're already leading twenty five to eight with three
twenty seven and counting left to go here in the third.
But you gotta think they'd love to keep this offense humming. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
And if you're the Hilltoppers, this is your chance to
really get a big stop here and get a turnover
and potentially move down the field. I mean, it has
been fumble after fumble for this Hilltopper team, But at
some point the change is gonna make change has gotta
be made.

Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
Man goes in motion for the Bulldogs here on fourth
and short. Oh, I'm not sure who got the ball, Parson.
Rome Hill must have got it on a keeper. After
that man in motion, Man, it will be another Boys
Phil first down. That one takes him inside the twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:32:22):
Yeah, and you brought that man in motion and you
could see the defense there kind of get distracted with
the motion man, and rome Hill just took it himself
and ran clean up the gut for about five, six,
seven eight yards. Just a great job by him, great
awareness and the defense really has to close down. And
this it's been almost all rome Hill throughout this game.
You'd think they'd, you know, key in a little bit

(01:32:44):
more on him.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
It'll be first and ten from the twenty yard line
here for Boys Phil. Right at the boundary of the
red zone. Here, as the Bulldogs come to the line,
rome Hill to under center, two wide receivers, one on
each side, two backs in the backfield. Is rome Hill
drive on first and ten looking to the end zone. Now,
he's gonna run straight through the middle of the pocket
and he's going to get I think first down yardage

(01:33:08):
as he's tangled inside then ten, it'll be another Boyceville
first down as Carson rome Hill put the team on
his back.

Speaker 3 (01:33:16):
Just a great job, great running by him. Throughout this game.
We've been talked about some passing ability, but man, that's
some rushing ability that you see from some real top
tier players out there, and that's what you're gonna need
if you want to make a deep playoff push this season.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Minute fifty seven left in the third here is Boysvil
comes to the line, first and goal from the nine
yard line for the Bulldogs. O' hill's under center again.
Looks like Glenwood City's gonna bring pressure that time and
say pitch to Helen Drunk. Helen Drunk fighting forward and
this time somebody other than Carson rome Hill into the

(01:33:52):
end zone for boys Field and Zach Helen Drug gets
the touchdown and the Bulldogs and onto their lead here late.

Speaker 3 (01:34:01):
And it didn't even matter that he slipped when he
made that cut because he was able to gather himself
back up and then trucked over a couple of players.
I mean, he's been so fun to watch out there,
just being able to bounce off of defenders and being
able to just pick up some extra yards he does
not go down with that first contact. He just keeps
on driving forward. That's why you always preach keep moving

(01:34:23):
your legs. When you're a ball carrier, you're gonna try
and get some extra yardage, you gotta move your legs.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Thomas Viceli out there for the point after here for Boysville.
After that touchdown reception for Helendro, the snap is down.
Oh no, it's gonna be a fake. Rome Hill in trouble.
Maybe it's a bad snap, but he's gonna roll out
to his left and he's gonna have the two point conversion.
Whether or not they plan that, I don't know. M

(01:34:50):
Carson Rome Hil finds pet again. That'll make this a
thirty three to eight lead for Boyceville. One thirty five
left to go on the third right here on your
home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:35:02):

scores that we'll get to in just a second. As

(01:36:03):
Vitelli kicks it away from right to left fielded at
about the twenty here for glen Woods City and moving
up trying to find some space to work with his
brock wood Wood gets to maybe the twenty five, almost
the thirty, and that's what they where they will take over.

Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
Yeah, I'm looking at the out of town scoreboard really
quickly right now. Spring Valley at halftime was up fourteen
to six on Turtle Lake. Clear Lake up six to
nothing in their game against Lady Smith. And then you
also have de rand Arkinson they are just demolishing Neilsville
right now, twenty nine to seven. That's gonna be another
team that this Boysville team may have to look out

(01:36:41):
for come playoff time come the end of the season,
as well as Grantsburg up ten to nothing on Cadat
right now, and they have been looking great so far
this game.

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
First and ten from their own twenty nine back to
pass and that one's spiked in the dirt by Jackson
Main and their quarterback has made looked like it was
something resembling a screen pass. Not sure if that was
the plan, but just not enough air under that one
incompletion second down.

Speaker 3 (01:37:08):
Yeah, owen Rydell just got right up in there, and
I mean that's the kind of pressure that really forces
those air and passes. Even when it's a screenplay like that,
you have to just get enough blocking to really hold
them off for a second. But just nothing going there.

Speaker 2 (01:37:23):
In completion on first makes it second down and ten
yards to go from the twenty nine here for Glenwood City.
Looks like this will be a handoff up the middle
and nothing doing that time for Glenwood City as Preston
Harvey gets the ball and goes nowhere fast third and long.

Speaker 3 (01:37:40):
Looking at two other out of town scores right now,
Colfax an EPC tie zero zero almost into halftime, if
not into the third quarter by now, then you also
have Mondovi up twenty seven to nothing on Ossio.

Speaker 2 (01:37:54):
Inside of a minute left to go here in the
third fifty seven seconds and counting. As they come to
the line, it'll be third and twelve for Glenwood's City
as Maine leads the Hilltoppers back onto the field. Thirty
three unanswered points here for Boysville late in the third quarters,
once again is a handoff, looks like that's RV again,

(01:38:15):
and RV once again is stuffed at the line of scrimmage.
That will bring up fourth down.

Speaker 3 (01:38:21):
And backwards and backwards they go. This has just been
the last few drives for this Glenwood City team. They
just really haven't been able to find that smart that
they started this game with. I mean, they came out punching,
they came out ready to go against this Bulldog defense.
But ever since that point, it's been all Boysville, quite
literally all Boysville. Now, with twelve seconds to go in

(01:38:44):
this third quarter, they have not.

Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
Come to the line here inside of ten seconds, so
we don't think that they're going to get a playoff
here before the quarter break, and indeed they won't. But well,
after that first drive, it's been pretty one sided. Boys
Field thirty three on Wood City eight. We have the
fourth quarter and the thrilling conclusion to this one for you.
Next on your Home for high school football.

It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
And we are back in this one right now. Boyceville
up thirty three to eight on the Glenwood City Hilltoppers,
and man, it has been all one sided towards this
Boyceville team. I mean the offense has been absolutely clicking
all over and the defense has allowed nothing for Glenwood
City ever since that first drive. I mean we were

(01:40:10):
talking about it, Noah, ever since that's that first drive
that looked quite spectacular. They had moved the ball very
easily down the field, but then Boysville adjusted.

Speaker 2 (01:40:21):
They did adjust. But it'll be fourth and twelve here
coming out of the quarter break, No Schwartz and Dan
Zion's alongside you as we get the fourth started and
Glenwood City ready for their first punt of the game.
It's a high and deep one that one fielded about
the thirty five. In fact, they'll let it drop and
it'll be down at about the thirty one yard line.
So that's where Boyceville will take over as they lead

(01:40:43):
here by score of thirty three to eight. And so
we continue on here on Moose Country one O six
point seven FM, Moose one O six dot com, and iHeartRadio.
Thank you for being with us here on your Friday night.
So Dan, this game, I don't want to say, it's
pretty well in hand with a whole fourth quarter left
to go, but it pretty much.

Speaker 3 (01:41:02):
Is as you're not wrong, though you aren't wrong. I
mean literally, ever since that first quarter, it has felt
like Lemwood has struggled to even get the snap of
the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:41:15):
Is Boycevield comes to the line first, intent is Roam
Hilled still in there, got the ball right at their
own thirty two yard line, back to pass, quick completion
here to Bradley Mays on the near sideline, and Mays
gets a gain of about four or five. In fact,
they'll call that a gain of six here and that
will make it second and short.

Speaker 3 (01:41:36):
Yeah, and they're going to be just doing as much
conservative play calling as possible here, especially with such a
big league and no reason to really force a football
down the field at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
Absolutely just trying to take clock off of the clock
or time off of the clock. Is most people who
speak English would.

Speaker 3 (01:41:53):
Say, because we try our best here, we'll get there
second and four.

Speaker 2 (01:41:58):
Now after the gain of six from once again, it
will be Rome Hilled under center, two backs in the backfield,
two wide receivers, one on either side, and we've got
whistles at the snap and flags. That's probably going to
be a false start, illegal procedure on Boysville and they
will back up five. You're still second down now, second

(01:42:19):
and nine.

Speaker 3 (01:42:20):
Yeah, and I mean they just haven't been able to
get away from that flag bug that they've been dealing
with ever since the start of the really ever since
the start of the game. It feels like they it
feels like every single drive has been with at least
one flag. I know it hasn't been, but it it
really has, because.

Speaker 2 (01:42:41):
It'll be second and nine here, ten minutes and fifty
seconds left to go. In fact, second and eight, they've
just updated it here for Boysville. Two wide receivers, one
on either side, two backs on either side of Rome
Hild in the shotgun. As he's back to pass here
on second and ten, looks left, throws left, it's a
deep ball and just out of reach. Looks like that

(01:43:01):
was number eleven Landon Leslie the intended receiver. But bring
up third and eight now, Dan, of course, if you
think about this Boysville team, you know they're a playoff contender.
We saw him in the playoffs last year in that
playoff game against Edgar against Edgar played in Chipwall Falls.
That was a heck of a game.

Speaker 3 (01:43:18):
That was That was one of the best games I
think I've seen, especially playoff games. I mean, not only
the energy from the crowd was very, very contagious, but
just the game between those two teams, the intensity that
they played with and how close it was all the
way up until the final minute of the game. That's
the kind of football you like to see during playoff time.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
And completion makes it third and eight. This time, it'll
be a handoff that ball is handed to Andrew Ton,
and Ton for Boyceville looks like he gets back to
the line there on third down. It's a really minimal
game there for Boysville. That brings up fourth and long,
and I think they're gonna punt it away.

Speaker 3 (01:43:57):
Yeah, there's not really much of a reason to be
hang out there to go for it here, unless you
wanted to practice for more fourth down situations, especially during
game time, and that may be the case. Right now,
they're actually keeping their offense out there, not really in
the best position right now to be going for that
at the thirty five yard line on their own end,
but they are going to go for it.

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
It's their own thirty four. They're gonna go for it
here on fourth and fourth and six, fourth and seven,
somewhere in that vicinity. They've got to get the ball
to about the forty two is back to pass his
Rome Hilled He's got all the time in the world.
Now rolls to his right. Now fire's middle of the field.
That one's caught. That's first down and more for Bennett's.
And Bennett's still on his feet now taking down just

(01:44:40):
Shy and the Glenwood City forty for another Boys fil
first down.

Speaker 3 (01:44:46):
And how many fourth down receptions has that been for Bennett's.
He's been mister reliable so far this game. I mean
he's been able to find those gaps in the zone
to just sit there and then just all he had
to do there was just sit and play, because that
was an amazing throw there by Romhild.

Speaker 2 (01:45:02):
Plumbhild found the soft spot of the zone, just got
it and then got all the yards he could. He
gets that one all the way to the forty two
yard line. It'll be first intent here for boys. Phillis.
They're now on the plus side of midfield. Under center
once again is Roum Hild as he will hand the
ball off. This time it goes to Zach Hellendrum and
Helen Drum gets to about the forty gain of two

(01:45:23):
or three before he is taken down second down.

Speaker 3 (01:45:27):
And I mean looking at the Dun Saint Croix right now,
I mean Boysville. After this game. If it stays the
same way that it is right now, thirty three to eight,
Boysville would gee up to three and oh overall, and
two and oh in the conference, putting them well ahead
of everyone else in the Dun Saint Croix. In fact,
even putting some distance on Glenwood City, even this would

(01:45:48):
sink them to own two in the conference, which there's
a lot of teams that are sitting oh and too,
or will be oh and two after a few of
these games. But this is the situation they're in right now.

Speaker 2 (01:45:59):
Second seven. It's a dump off here, and it looks
like the ball carrier that time was Owen ry Dell.
Rye Dell gets first down yardage on that one. But
it looks like there's another flag down. We'll have to
see where it is the ball or excuse me, the
flag down right at about the original line of scrimmage.

(01:46:23):
It'll be a block in the back call on Boyce
Ple and they will back up once again. It'll be
second in long and.

Speaker 3 (01:46:30):
Again it's just one step forward, two steps backwards for
them right now. It's really felt like that for a
lot of this game. But even their one step forward
can always be a big leaf.

Speaker 2 (01:46:42):
Second and seventeen after the penalty moves Boyceville back ten
yards back right into the midfield stripe. Here is they've
got to get the ball to I'd call that about
the thirty three yard line for the new set of downs.
And you know here on second and long you can
kind of dink and dunk your way down the field.
We'll see if they decide to do that. Trying to

(01:47:03):
divide and conquer this seventeen yards to.

Speaker 3 (01:47:05):
Go, especially with where they are right now in the game,
just trying to be more playing conservative, but also try
and getting other players out and try and get some
different sequences going.

Speaker 2 (01:47:15):
Rome Hild in the shotgun, two wide receivers on either
side of the line of scrimmage. As he's back in
the shotgun, as now he's going to run. He takes
off and he looks like he's gonna get the first
down running up the middle. Is Rome held. He's done
it with his arm, He's done it with his legs.
That's another first down for boys Vil. And what can

(01:47:35):
we say that we haven't said over the first three quarters.

Speaker 3 (01:47:39):
Something that I've been noticing as a trend throughout this game.
I mean, you cannot bring this guy down with your arms.
And every single time I see him almost squared up
dead to right with a defender, I mean they always
try to wrap up with their arms, and every time
he's been able to break right through it. You've got
to put some pads.

Speaker 2 (01:47:57):
On that guy. Second and what was it second and seventeen.
It's a gain of sixteen for Romhild, makes it third
and one seven minutes left here in the fourth Romhild
in the shotgun, he's under center and instead it will
be a quick dump off to Leslie on a handoff
in Leslie. It doesn't get a whole lot, but he

(01:48:19):
does get enough and that should be a first down
here for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:48:24):
Yeah, and that's been a lot of There's a lot
of boomen in that backfield too. It's hard to stay
on who you're supposed to be on your target, I
should say, as a defender when you have so much
movement in that backfield. That's one of the best parts
of this Boysville offense is how dynamic and how much
they move around in that backfield.

Speaker 2 (01:48:46):
Six and a half minutes left to go here in
the fourth all Boycevill's. They've been leading thirty three to eight.
Here they come to the line. They've got another first
and tent here from the Glenwood City thirty one yard line.
Rome Hild under center again, one wide receiver on either side,
two backs behind him. As this time it will be
a handoff given to Tucker Lindstrom and Lindstrom running up

(01:49:08):
the gut. He gets a gain of i'd say about
three second down.

Speaker 3 (01:49:12):
Man a good run there only a few yards to
really go. But he's been running strong throughout this game.
He's been one of the consistent backs other than of course,
I mean Rome Hill, I should say, but just so
far he's been able to really find the gaps in
the defense and really be able to get some movement.

(01:49:33):
He only got three yards on that one, but he's
been able to move around quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (01:49:36):
But you know, keeps him ahead of schedule here second
down and keeps the clock moving. Just about five and
a half minutes to play. As boys fil comes to
the line, it'll be Rome Hild under or excuse me,
in the shotgun two backs either side of them here
on second and seven, he's back to throw, got time,
fires over the middle, That balls complete and Bradley Mays
is meant the end zone for another plays bell touchdown

(01:50:00):
thirty nine eight.

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
That throw looked like it was on a string the
way that came down the field. I mean, that was
a great fast right in between the defenders, put it
right on the money and great catch and just another
one to add to the books here now as it's
a thirty nine to eight touchdown, thirty nine to eight
lead for Boysvil.

Speaker 2 (01:50:19):
Yeah, great lead there for Boysvil. I want to talk
more as if we haven't enough about Carson roe Hill.
Just the flick of that wrist on that ball and
baseball you'd call that a frozen rope. Just a really
low fast flight path on that football, and.

Speaker 3 (01:50:35):
It made its way straight into his hands. I mean
that didn't even falter off. It wasn't too high, too low.

Speaker 2 (01:50:40):
Could not ask for better accuracies out there. For the
point after is the Boysville kicker. That one will be
blocked at the line, so Vitelli will not get the
point after, and with five twenty four left to play,
Boyceville maintains a thirty nine to eight lead here. Stick
with us as we'll have the rest of the fourth
After this, you're on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:51:03):
This is Friday Night lice on Moose Country one oh

a free consultation seven point five eight five five one
zero two zero.

Speaker 1 (01:51:39):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
o six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:51:44):
Welcome back. Five twenty four left in this one. As
this game starts to wind to a close, Noah Schwartz
and Dan Zon's alongside you for the duration. As Voyceville
leading Glenwood City by a score of thirty nine to eighty.
That'll be a thirty one point lead here. Most of
the way through the fourth.

Speaker 3 (01:52:04):
Yeah, and I mean there's not a lot you can't
say about this Boycemail team, but this Glenwood City team,
they had some moments here and there that felt like
they could really keep up with this boysfail team.

Speaker 2 (01:52:16):
Vittelli is out there to kick it away here for
the Bulldogs and two men back to receive that one
for Glenwood City. Looks like it is fielded by brockwood
Wood gets up to about the thirty yard line before
he's hit and taken down. So that is where the
Glenwood City Hilltoppers will take over.

Speaker 3 (01:52:33):
Here in this one, and a good start for them here.
They have a chance here to now kind of put
something up on the board. You may not come back
into this game being where it is on the in
the fourth quarter, five twenty left to go thirty nine
to eight lead, but you could get something to add
to it and say you weren't just shut out the
rest of the game. Get something for the confidence, get

(01:52:54):
something to build in the locker room, and get something
to build on for next week.

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
Absolutely here, that's what Glenwood's City will try and do
here is they've got reps at least, if not more
here five twenty left to go here in the fourth
as it will be Maine in the shotgun, he'll hand
the ball off on first intend it's another carry for
Preston RVY and RV fights forward, gain of two or
three second down.

Speaker 3 (01:53:19):
And just kind of really what we've been seeing for
the last couple of drives now just another run, clean
up the gut, but just nothing going there. Whether Boyceville
has closed down on the gaps or their linebackers have
just stacked up the middle, they just really haven't been
able to run the ball at all.

Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
So it will be a gain of two officiallys second
and eight here for Glenwood c Hilltoppers come to the line.
Four wide receivers too on either side, one back in
the backfield. Think that's RV alongside of Maine. Is Maine
back to pass, He's gonna throw near side incomplete. I
think he wanted Brody Reba, but that one was behind him.

Speaker 3 (01:53:58):
Third long And that's kind of the rust that you're
shaking off as a backup quarterback. I mean, you're you're
expected to go out there and be ready to go
at all times. I mean that's what all coaches preach.
But of course when it comes to game time, there's
not a lot of chances that you are already out
on the field. You already had some play in just
regular season games. I mean you're waiting for these kinds

(01:54:19):
of moments, and I mean, this is the rush that
you have to shake off right now.

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
Third and eight here for Maine and the Hilltoppers for
Glenwood City, four thirty five left to go, and it'll
be a handoff that time. Not a whole lot for
Rvy as he's taken down and more behind the line,
and that will bring up fourth down. And Dan he
touched on it. This is a little bit of a
different sport, but I feel like, you know, there's still
some relevance. I was a backup goaltender in hockey for

(01:54:44):
a number of years, and you know, people backup goaltenders,
and I'm sure backup quarterbacks talk about the ability to
come in cold, the ability to come in when things
aren't going well for your team, but nobody talks about
how you know it's still a number two option. You know,
even as a backup yourself, you still know that, hey,
you know, maybe the other guy should be starting ahead

(01:55:05):
of me. And when there's a case of injury like
it is for Glenwood City. Is they pumped it away?
You know, it's hard to get away from those fields?
Is that one fielded about the twenty five by Boyceville.
Looks like the man on that return is Leslie. It's Leslie.
I'll past the forty to the fifty one man to beat,
but he's tripped up at the Glenwood City forty five.
Big return for lend and Leslie and Boyceville will take

(01:55:28):
over three forty one left to play.

Speaker 3 (01:55:31):
Yeah, and I mean he broke some tackles out there,
but he also was making breaking some ankles out there too.
He made a couple of men miss really bad out there.
But that's the thing. It's still slick on the ground.
You still have to really keep a stable set and
really try and get your hands and arms on anyone
you can possible, especially when they're running fullse feed at
you up the field. But still have yet to actually

(01:55:52):
put in any backups, have Boysville yet. It kind of
a little unexpected, especially with how much time is left
on the clock and how big of the gas is.
But who knows, Maybe just one more series and they'll decide, Hey,
we'll put our younger guys out there well.

Speaker 2 (01:56:06):
With three forty one left, I'm sure they'd like to
finish this one up here on this drive is here
on first and ten, it'll be a handoff up the middle.
Plenty of space here for Tucker Linstrom. Linstrom breaking a
tackle and he's out of bounds righting about the thirty
here on the nearest sideline, Tucker Linstrom with another Boycevil
first time.

Speaker 3 (01:56:25):
In a nasty, nasty stiffarm by Lindstrom as well.

Speaker 2 (01:56:30):
And after that it looks like Boyceville will bring in
the second team offense here as the clock three to
thirty three and counting left to go here in the
fourth quarter and a thirty one point lead for Boyceville
over over Glenwood City.

Speaker 3 (01:56:45):
Yeah, and at this point now they have a running
clock going here, especially with how big of the gaff
is being a thirty nine to eight margin right now, new.

Speaker 2 (01:56:54):
Quarterback in there, looks like it's Andrew Ton under center
right excuse me, it'll be Eli Weber number three. As
Weber will hand off to Ton in the field and
Ton really not a whole lot of space there. He
is dropping behind the line for a loss of two.

Speaker 3 (01:57:14):
Good bounce out outside by Ton, but just nothing going
for him there, as glen would see really stacked him
up on that far right side. As Glenwood City also
puts in a couple of younger players too, they don't
have nearly as many younger players as Boysbil does right now,
you can see just the difference on both sidelines, but
they still have some of those players. You still have

(01:57:35):
your backups that you can come in and get some experience,
especially in game situations like this.

Speaker 2 (01:57:42):
Absolutely two twenty five and counting left in this one,
as Weber out there under center for Boyceville the sophomore quarterbacks,
this one will be a pitch to the left once
again it is Ton and Ton, maybe a gain of
a yard. It'll be third and long.

Speaker 3 (01:58:02):
And the even more subs come in now for Klemwood City.
And he wasn't able to find too much on that
play there, but I mean he is. You've gotta love
when even your backups are coming out there and they're
running hard and they're fighting hard, even though the score
is what it is. I mean, all these players are
coming out to play tonight, and no matter what I mean,
it's next man up, and you you made a good

(01:58:24):
point about it. You always have to be ready for
whenever you're gonna come into a game. And it feels
like a lot of these backups that have came in
have came in with some great energy, it is, and.

Speaker 2 (01:58:32):
They're they're getting a great game experience that you really
can't put a value on as a coaching staff or
Eastman as a fan. Here for both of these two
teams is on third and long. It will be a
handoff for Boysville. Looks like that is uh, looks like
that'll be Jeffrey Middlestat on the carry. Getting back to
about the original, Oh, it'll be a loss of one

(01:58:54):
and we'll bring up fourth down here for Boysville, and
the clock will took down inside of a minute left
to go here, as it looks like boys feel ready
to punt this one away on fourth and long.

Speaker 3 (01:59:04):
Yeah, I'm either they're gonna punt this one away or
they're gonna take another chance and maybe try and draw
something up to give their backups a chance to see
what it's like to go for it on fourth down
and long in a game time.

Speaker 2 (01:59:15):
Situation, fifty seconds left to play, it'll be fourth down
and thirteen yards to go. Boysfield gonna keep their second
string offense out there for this one. They lead by
thirty one, it'll be a fake handoff back to pass,
making a man miss and throwing. Oh, it's complete. Somehow,

(01:59:35):
it's complete to find Carlsrud. Carl's Rud losing a bolt
load on that one, as Wheber the quarterback was wrapped
up just by the time he got to the end
of his drop, wrapped up around the ankles, was falling backwards,
and somehow founder receiver is running back Carlsrud in the backfield.

Speaker 3 (01:59:56):
And that's some great awareness there. But as a if
you're a coach, you're kind of holding your breath because
that could have easily been in the other hands of
the defense and there was no one back there to
stop that defense if someone picked that off.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
Oh, but you know, it still still a learning experience
here for that second team for Boysville. And with thirty
one seconds left and thirty one points between these two
teams on the scoreboard, looks like Glenwood City will just
take a knee, and with thirty one seconds left, one
knee is all it will take, So the rest of

It's your home for high school football. Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 2 (02:03:24):
Welcome back everybody into the high school football postgame show
right here on Moose Country one O six point seven FM,
wat Q Shititech ou Claire Chip with Falls Menominee on
iHeartRadio station. My name's No Schwartz alongside Dan Sounds as always,
and we've gone final here from Boyceville as it is,
the Boyceville Bulldogs winning by a score of thirty nine

(02:03:46):
to eight over the Glenwood City Hilltoppers. And what was
a fun one day.

Speaker 3 (02:03:51):
It really was, And I mean it was all over
for Boysville. They started off a little slow. Glenwood City
came up and really punched them in the job with
and ate nothing ain't nothing lead that had completely cut
their one oh seven to nothing scoring uh scoring campaign
over these last three games. But I mean they came

(02:04:13):
back with a vengeance. Though they were obviously mad that
they had that scoring uh, that scoring drought broken there
for their defense. But they had came in and came
they had came in. They had came right back there
we go, if I can speak right there. Uh, they
came right back into this. And I mean it was
all like ro or Romhild this entire game. He was

(02:04:35):
all over on the special teams quite literally. After that
ate nothing drive. Uh, he had come back and scored
a kick return for a touchdown and then in the
next drive got a rushing touchdown. Then he also got
an interception later on in the game. I mean, that
is all factors of the game. He's affected and you
gotta have a guy like that if you're gonna go
far in this division.

Speaker 2 (02:04:57):
Yeah, he was a lot of fun to watch. I
mean that kickoff return was electrifying. Ran in a couple
through a couple, had the interception. Playing defense, you know,
a lot of times we get a lot of two
way players at this level of high school football, and
a lot of times you really only mention him on
one side of the ball. But really, you know, you
talk about, you know, in the history of the game

(02:05:17):
of football, guys like Chuck Bednarik two way players. How
often have you heard of Carson Romhill being a three
way player offense, defense, and special teams, making not just
plays but big plays, decipsive plays in all three phases
of the game tonight.

Speaker 3 (02:05:36):
No, that is a rare thing to have, especially someone
that can impact all levels of the offense, special teams, defense.
And I mean not only that, he's a great leader
out there. You can tell whenever he's out there on
the field, he kind of just is communicating with everyone
out There's everyone's listening to him, everyone's ready to go,
everyone's ready to play forward, play on. And I mean

(02:05:56):
he's been just great behind there. And also for a quarterback.
He can really lay some boom out there. He ran
over a couple of different players just to get some
first downs, and I mean that's the kind of passion
you'll love to see out there, especially in a game
that had started off completely drenched, raining all over and
it was gonna be more of a running game, but

(02:06:18):
they were still able to find ways to pass the
football and go quick with it.

Speaker 2 (02:06:22):
Absolutely once again, just to recap, Glenwood City got out
to an eight nothing lead and then it was all
boys fill after that, thirty nine to nothing. Thirty nine
to eight your final score, but thirty nine unanswered points
for the Bulldogs in that one. Dan any finals thoughts
before we tell you where we are next week?

Speaker 3 (02:06:40):
I liked there was aspects from both of these teams
that I like this game. I think Glenwood City has
a lot to work on, especially without Brody Thompson. Who
knows when he's gonna be available again for this Glenwood
City team, but they were really missing him out there.
He is a strong quarterback for them and it's gonna
be interesting to see what they do to recover from this,

(02:07:01):
adjust from this. And it wasn't the worst game in
the world for them, but they really struggled with just
holding on to the football. Rain played a big factor
in it for them. But I mean when you had
Boysville out there and they were hardly fumbling nearly as
much as them, you gotta wonder, like, what do we
need to work on and practice this next week? But
if you're Boysville, I mean, have a victory Saturday because

(02:07:22):
you just earned that, especially with how great you played
after getting hitting the jaw to start off that game.

Speaker 2 (02:07:29):
Yeah, very well earned win for Boyceville once again. Your
final score thirty nine to eight Boysville over Glenwood City.
Dan and I will have two games for you right
here on the Moose next week. We'll have Durand Arkansas
at Regis. That one's at Carson Park and Eau Claire
on Thursday at seven o'clock that one with the great
Pete Knutson. And then on Friday could not at Spring Valley.

(02:07:50):
Dan and I will be down in Spring Valley with
you for the second time this season Friday at seven
pm right here on Moose Country one oh six point
seven FM, Moose one O six dot com, and iHeartRadio.

can do here for my friend here, Dan Zounds to
my ride, as well as the incomparable Dan Price back
in studio producing, and all the other wonderful people who

(02:08:13):
have made this broadcast possible. My name is Noah Schwartz,
saying good night everybody. We'll see you next week.
