Speaker 1 (00:00):
Five.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
This is a special presentation of iHeart Media Sports on
Moose Country one oh six point seven.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
From historic Carson Park here in Oaklair, Wisconsin. We welcome
you in to a big time matchup in the Clover
Belt Conference. It's the OA Clear Regis Ramblers at four
and oh on the season two and zer in conference
taking on the Duran Arkansas Panthers at four and oh
as well two and zero in conference play. Hello everybody,
Peekadots and Noah Schwartz with me to my left. Dan
Zions will be coming to you live from down on

(00:32):
the field today.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
It is going to be an exciting broadcast for.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
You both here on Moose Country one oh six point
seven as well on the Regiscatholic Schools dot Com video
stream as well. Noah get a chance to see You've
seen both of these teams a couple times this season.
Is a big time matchup. Regis is ranked second, but
the rank second in Division six durand Arkansas ranks the
seventh in the state of the ranks seventh in Division

(00:55):
five up in division as well, so you've got a
top ten matchup, but it's in different divisions in the
same conference. Going to be a fun one. These two
teams always seem to play good games against each other.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
They certainly do, and they play good games just on
their own too. So seeing these two programs of this
caliber coming up against each other, it's going to be
a special game. Talking about durand Arkansas, I saw them
the first week of the season in a big win
over Spring Valley. They look like a very competent football team.
Of course, you and I have seen a lot of

(01:26):
Regis Raandlers games this year. We know that Regis is
a team that you know they're they're very hard to beat.
So two four and zero teams should be a lot
of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah. The Panthers bring the conference's highest scoring mark into
today's game thirty seven point five points per game. Regis
is yet to allow a single point in posting their
two shutout conference wins today as well. It's a team
as well in Regis who hasn't given up any points
with their first team defense yet this season. The only

(01:55):
points they've given up the Turtle Aake and others were
once They have the second and third stringers in as well,
so again we know Regis's offense can move the ball
in Durant's defense can make some stops as well, But
it seems like the prime matchup is going to be
how Regis's very good defense, which is led by guys
like Noah Labor and others, how they're able to shut
down this Durant offense, which has been really good through

(02:16):
four games.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Absolutely, that's the sixty four thousand dollars question here, and
that's what we're about to find out. And I couldn't
be more excited.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
The parents' night here for Regis as well. So they've
got every one of the parents and the players lined
up across the sideline. They stretch all the way down
from one end zone to the other. Always impressive to
see what the Regis Rambler football program puts together under
the heading of Brian Brenner Man. Of course, Brian Brenner
has had such great to run here at Eau Claire

(02:47):
Regis in his eighteenth season one seventy six and thirty
three mark in his eighteenth season as the Regis Ramblers
head coach at as an eighty four point three percent
win percentage as well season play, he's got two state championships.
This Duran team, of course, is a situation where Rod
Rosemeyer is searching for again is the win and is

(03:11):
hoping to figure out a way to get this Panther
team kind of over the hump. And I think that's
kind of the feeling, you know, for us here, Noah,
is the fact that you know, for Duran as well
as Mondovi, Right, they're the two teams that have been
kind of, you know, knocking on the door, trying to
knock this Regis team off the perch. Seems like they
get close every year, one maybe a little closer than
the other. Duran has been close a couple of times,

(03:31):
but in the last few seasons, Regis has had their number.
And you know, if you're Duran or Mondovi, I think
you know if you're Regis as well. You know Duran
and Mondovi they're circling this game on the calendar, and
they know the one you get to go play at
Carson Park, you're playing against Regis, the big bad Regis
Ramblers as well. You know that this is the game
that they're all focused on this season.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yeah, as soon as that schedule comes out, this one
gets circled in that big red marker because you know,
this is a team that in terms of caliber, is
right there with you if you're durand so you know,
it's always good to match up against somebody who you
feel well.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Take a quick break, we come back. We will go
through some of the starters for these teams and who
we look in terms of our matchup, who we look
to focus on as well.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
That's all coming up.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
It's Regis versus Durant. It's the only ranked matchup of
the night on a Thursday night here in week five
of the season. Be back in two minutes right here
on Moose Country one oh six point seven and the
Rambler Sports Network.

And welcome back in here to Carson Park. As we
get set for the Regis Ramblers versus the Duran Panthers.
Peacotson and Noah Sworts with you. Danzons is down on
the field as we get set in all both teams
are about to get ready. The Ramblers should be coming
out up the locker room here shortly. Like we said,
this is a Duran team that in the last seven
seasons is not figured out a way to beat this

(07:03):
Rambler team. They have been knocking on the door, they
have been close a number of times. At some point,
you know what they say, streaks are made to be broken,
and you feel like at some point it will happen.
The question is is this the year? And there's a
lot of really solid players on both these teams that
can make it happen.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Yeah, this is gonna be a real fun one to watch.
And the thing is, you know, it's a rare thing
to have two teams coming into the same game four
and oh, both ranked in the top ten in their
respective divisions, both toward the top of their shared conference here,
so you can tell that you know that they all
mean a lot, don't get me wrong, but this one
certainly means more.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Pete well again for Durant Brett b reed On, who
is the guy? He is the quarterback, He will be
the guy to look for. But I think that we're
going to really be focusing in on Ian Haman's right.
He's kind of the guy to keep your eye on
in terms of the running back, right, three hundred and
forty nine yards rushing, six touchdowns for him as well,
he's a solid player, maybe not you know, not a
huge standout, you know, massive star, but he is the

(07:57):
guy that they're gonna have to rely on even though
they throw the ball. This is a pretty balance offense,
but you'd have to imagine that the running game is
going to have to get going a little bit here
to open up that pass game against a rambler team
that usually is very well disciplined defensively.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Absolutely, I think balance is a good word for this
Durand Arkansas offense, and for Haven's dependable is the kind
of runner that I would call him. When I saw
him in Week one against Spring Valley, he was always
able to get two or three yards. He always kept
the lakes moving. And so if Durant Arkansas is going
to have a good chance here, they're going to need
to have their offense run through him.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
The guy you'll be looking for for regis his number
twenty one, Austin Ryde Out. He has had a great season,
two receiving touchdowns go along with two hundred nineteen yards
again rushing and four touchdowns as well. This team is
led by Joey Brahmer at quarterback, but we'll see quite
a bit I think from Austin right now. Carter Whiteside,
Braxton Tarbucks, Grody Tarbucks. Those are the guys who've been

(08:53):
kind of, you know, the ones who have stood out
so far this season. As the Ramblers take the field,
Ramblers will be in the uniform tops with the kelly
green numbers outlined in white. They've got white pants and
white helmets, a kind of a fun combination there for
the Ramblers as well. Durand in the traveling road white
uniforms with purple numbers, purple pants, a little bit of
gold trim there as well, and the purple helmets for

(09:17):
the Durand Panthers. Dan Zon's is down on the sideline.
Let's see if we can get a little report from Dan. Dan,
what's the feeling that Rambler team came out and they
look like they know what's up with this Durand Arkansas
team that they're about to play.

Speaker 9 (09:30):
Yes, they do, And honestly, it's been both sides of
it really. I mean, the intensity was here right from
the get go, even from the coin toss, it felt
like things were getting a little testy already. And I
mean this is just the intensity that both these two
teams bring, especially being both on top of that Clover
Belt conference, both at four and oh and this is
a tough, tough Clover Belt conference.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
This year.

Speaker 9 (09:51):
I should say this team, the Durand Arkansas Panthers, have
been absolutely stellar, but they have to really fight against
this Regis Ramblers defense. Actually when they're at home, that's
a double negative. I like how the Reach Ramblers look,
but all I know is this is going to be
a really tough pot game between both of these two teams.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
And expect a lot of running. Indeed it is. It
should be exciting and like we said, a lot of running.
There is a chance a threat of rain storms later tonight.
It's good right now, there are some clouds moving into
the area. We look like maybe we're going to get
some storms. What around six o'clock is today, But those
clouds move through, we should be fine. Still pretty warm

(10:28):
down there on the field seventy eight degrees that kind
of night like tonight. No, you might also be worried
a little bit about cramping, making sure everybody's hydrated as
well as there is still some humidity as well in
the area. We'll see how that all affects things. We'll
turn over to Joe Roach, our PA announcer for the
prayer and the national anthem here from Carson Park game
with Dran Arkansas.

Speaker 10 (10:46):
We ask your blessings on the players and fans assemble here.
Please help all of us appreciate the standards of competition, sportsmanship,
and fair play that represent true Christian spirit and values. Fine,
we ask your health at all of our enjoy this
game and have a safer poem.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
We pray the name of Jesus, our Lord.

Speaker 10 (11:04):
Amen, in the name of the Father, and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Amen.

Speaker 10 (11:10):
And now to America most defending our freedom.

Speaker 11 (11:13):
Here is our.

Speaker 9 (12:42):

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Of the national anthem. Here from Carson Park is where
ready for football between Regis and Duran they get a
clover Belt Conference matchup. Happy to have you along with
us here on Moose Country one h six point seven
FM w A t Q Tech go Blair Chip of
Falls Menominee, our radio station Pecanuts and Noah Schwartz dan

(13:13):
Zon's on the field, he talked about there the energy
is there. I always feel like that's kind of the case, Noah,
for Regis, especially against the teams in conference who you know,
feel like they've got a chance against Regis. And again,
I think that's, you know, been kind of the thing
the last few years, right, We've seen Regis go undefeated
a number of times in the in the regular season.
They feel like they've got a chance. They put a

(13:34):
lot of extra effort into it. There's a little chippiness,
there's want to prove yourself right, get onto that kind
of level, knowing that you can make you know, the
level three or level four of the playoffs, and that
that's kind of the feeling down there. And there's no, no,
nothing wrong with that. It just makes for an exciting
football game.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Yeah, the intensity is there, but for a game like this,
it really has to be. You know, if a four
and oh against four and oh matchup at the top
of the conference here doesn't get your fire going, and
you might not have a fire in there. I'm sure
both of these teams too, I'm sure that they've been
looking forward to this one not just all week, but
maybe you know, circling it on the schedule and looking

(14:11):
forward to it for the last week and a half,
two weeks here, getting close to it.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah, yeah, a sorry, sorry, I thought you were done.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Go go for it. No, no, I I lost my train.
I thought we were good.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
And indeed it happens. It is one of those where
again both so you've got all the teams at the
top of the clover We got Duran, Regis, and Mondovi,
a'll four and oh right sitting up there. None of
them have played each other until tonight. Regi apart me,
Mondovi and Duran will play each other in the last
week of the season. Regis will welcome Mondobian two Carson
Park in a couple of weeks. So you know, there's

(14:46):
a potential if those teams can beat Regis early on
that you could be looking at that Duran Mondovi game
as a championship game for the clover Belt basically. Of course,
Regis has other plans for that, but gonna be interesting
because it is really does feel like a three horse
race in this division. They're all probably playoff teams. It's
a matter of where. Obviously, they're in different divisions, So

(15:06):
that's that's a factor. That's a piece of it, but
all really interesting as we get ready for the kickoff.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Absolutely, and that's one of the cool things about the
sport of football compared to other sports. You know, you've
only got you've got so many fewer chances compared to
basketball or baseball or hockey to make your presence stone
to get those wins in with stantics. So this game,
it means about three or four basketball games.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
I can tell you that Carter, Cisco and Austin right
out are back to receive the kickoff here from Duran.
It will be the kickoff from A. J. Witting and
we are about to get underway here from Carson Park,
week number five the high school football season, Duran versus
Regis and here we go downfield toured Noah Labor will
actually fall in front of Cisco scoops it up at

(15:51):
the twenty three yard line, looking for a hole across
the thirty stays out. It's meeting near side forty. He's
got space to the fifteen year side forty. He's got
one man to beat thirty to the twenty. He'll cut
it awt cup field. This is a tackle at the
ten to the five touchdown Ramblers. Carter Cisco with the
kickoff return to start things up, just fourteen seconds for

(16:13):
him to get about seventy five yards down the field.
It's six nothing rangeus.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Tack of a play by Carter Cisco. Usually when that
ball hits the ground on a kickoff like that, bounces
in front of the returner a lot of times it's
hard to field that. Cisco did a great job. Looked
like a short stop fielding or ground ball. He was
able to pick it up and not just hitting one hole,
but hitting two or three downfield, cutting back inside and

(16:39):
getting into the end zone to start things off in
a big way.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Joey Bramer is on to attempt the two point conversion. Pitch,
two pointer is in, pitch goes to Carter white side.
He takes it in eight nothing Ramblers, eleven forty six
left to go. First quarter. Typically we take a time
out here, but we just started, so I think we
say right here and what a play that was. And
I'm sure Dan Zon's was down right in front of

(17:02):
it and saw what he saw down there as he
was standing right about where Cisco picked that up. Dan
what did you see? Because that was impressive to see
kind of what uh you know, what happened there for
Cisco to be able to scoop that up and just
kind of get through that first hole. I mean he
literally had a wide berth after he had made that
one cut.

Speaker 9 (17:22):
The blocking was exceptional and exactly what you need if
you're going to return something like that. And I mean
they were talking for a little bit in that uh
in that huddle before they.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Went off to the kickoff.

Speaker 9 (17:32):
It looked until they went off into the kick return situation,
and it looked like from what the coach was saying,
it seemed like they thought they could get something going here.
And I think that's what they said, is let's get
something big here.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
And man, did Cisco get something big.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Indeed he did.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
What a play that was pretty amazing there, and uh yeah,
it is the impressive to watch so far here for
the Ramblers with that return for a touchdown. So it'll
be Duran who will receive the second hack kickoff, and
it kind of feels like they're receiving the first half
kickoff here as well as we get set for the
second kickoff of this game. Eight nothing Ramblers with the

(18:11):
lead here on Duran and here comes the kickoff for
oaklayer Regis jack Schroeder will send this one downfield and
taken at about the ten yard line. Here comes a return.
It's a pass to the far sun i'd taken by Jackson.
Weiss on that far side, misses a tackle at the
thirty and then gets tripped up near the thirty three
yard line. Nice play set up there. A little pass.

(18:32):
It came from Miles Kerluski and it's a crossover toward
Weiss and there we go. So the thirty three yard
line where Duran will start things off.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
And we've talked about it before the game about how
these two teams have been looking forward to this one
for a long time. A lot of energy, a lot
of nerves coming into this ballgame. With Cisco's touchdown on
the opening kickoff, man, that's gonna have to ram rant
the durand Arkansas Panthers, and we'll have to see how

(19:03):
they respond to them.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Drogo's left side and the catches may have been immediately
hit across the thirty five up near the thirty seven
on the initial pass again from riding righting the quarterback,
the senior at six foot three, one hundred ninety seven pounds,
So it left and it's about four yards up to
the thirty seven yard line, a gain of four second
and six coming up now here for the Panthers. That

(19:29):
is a pretty crazy way to start this game. Eight
nothing reagius a kickoff return and Carter Cisco is the
way we get underway here tonight. Come back to run
now left side here, nothing doing up to the left
side of the line. Hand off going off to the
left there looked like that was Ian Haven's.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Apartment.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
It was McCoy on the tackle by the yard gain
to the thirty eight and a half yard line, third
about four and a half five yards. They're coming up
for Regions or for durand Rapp.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
This is definitely manageable, and this close to midfield. It
might even before down territory here for durand Arkansas. And
we'll get a whistle and.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Have an injury. I'll think an equipment malfunction of some
kind for one of the ramblers. So to come up
to the sideline that is Davis Tornell, who had something
going on with his helmet, and so he'll be reproacing
quickly here for Brody's Sturm and yeah, something wrong on
the helmet there is Danzon lets us know no, and

(20:28):
I think another equipment issue over there for Durand as
well as Durand will send off one of their linemen
Rock to Groot is the man who goes to the
sideline there and so.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
You've still got third and four.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Officials are fine to have the block stop to get
everything reset. So at ten thirty five left to go,
first quarter, ramblers up eight nothing, quick snap handoff goes
to the right hole for a moment to the forty
forty one not enough for a first down. On the
hand up to the right side to eat the neck,
it will be about two yards short to the forty
one yard line and now decision time for Durand on
fourth and two.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Yeah, I mean, I think it's a good play call,
try and establish the run, especially on the first drive,
but certainly not enough room to get that first out.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
It does look like the punt formation is coming at
out for around Cisco is going back to return this
I think again with white side part me with right
out rather right out back there along with Cisco, Cisco
to the far side, right out to the near side,
and the kickabouts to come here for Duran a wobbling kick.
It's coming toward the right side, of course, as you

(21:30):
might have mentioned, toward right out right out missus a
tackle there at the thirty five, gets across the forty
and balls up near the forty four yard line. Not
a great punt there. As it goes to the forty four,
it's gonna only net about what seventeen fourteen, fifteen, sixteen,
seventeen yard somewhere in.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
That range somewhere there. And I gave you a wide
berth just because I wasn't doing the math well enough
in my head. But I'm all regious. Let's take over
a good field position now.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
The first chance actually see the offense for a drive
here for the Ramblers is there already up eight ninety
three to go. First quarter.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
Man, it's gonna feel great to have that Kushin coming
out here for your first offensive snap.

Speaker 1 (22:06):
And it is the inverted double wing as you might expect.
Romer will take the snap in his hand off to
the tailback. That's Tarbox right up the gut. Nobody to
hit him across the forty five and Darran but all
the way up to the forty yard line want to run?
That was seventeen yards on first down? Is he bowls
over the defender there in Kerluski again and it's a
seventeen yard game and a first down for the Ramblers.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
And we've seen Regis run this inverted double wing for
years now, but you know, especially seventeen yards on a
first play from scrimmage or your offense, you're never gonna
complain about that game.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
So the Ramblers right back after it after a kickoff
return for a touchdown. And now Bromer was under center.
The pitch will go around the left side here to
Braxton Tarbucks. Now around the right edge, and he will
push up toward the thirty five yard line. Looks like
he's a yard short of that to the thirty six.
Bout a three yard game to the right side, and
I'm a tackle. Maine Ford ran on the play. Looked
like that Mike p. Jackson Pickler on the play and

(23:03):
was second and seven.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
Keeps him on schedule, you know, three yards in a
cloud at dust. But that's just the way that Regis
wants to play this game.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Weis will bring right out along with Carter Cisco out
in the formation.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
Because they began to break the huddle. Here take a
little bit of time eight left to play. First quarter.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Regis eight and Duran zero. Here in this ranked matchup
in the clover Belt Conference. Under center once again goes
brom Er Brahmer the hard count. He'll pitch it around
to the right edge that is white side up right
out rather right up the gut. He lost the ball,
lost the ball the thirty yard line. Durant balls on
it and they have it. Indeed, he lost the ball,
coughed it up, and the recovery comes forward Duran. I

(23:47):
think it was one of the linemen who fell on
it there in Cooper Janke and it is gonna be
panther ball after the turnover. And that is a rare
misstep for the Ramblers.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
Yeah, we don't see that a whole lot. But we've
talked to meet Duran Arkansas defense and they're making their
presence known on their first series, getting the turnover and
getting their offense back out. This go down to the sideline.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Dan, you saw what happened there again right out coughing
up the ball and not something you see very often. No,
it's not.

Speaker 9 (24:15):
And it was almost forcefully stripped from him by one
of those defense And I mean they've been doing that
all game long. Obviously something was told to them to
start playing aggressively espressly.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
He was stripping that ball, and it really worked out
for them there it did. Man goes in motion here
for Duran, handoff goes up the gut across the thirty
up near the thirty five to the thirty four is
where he'll be taken down hand off to the right side.
That is Sibelco, Isaac Sebelco. He's one of the better
defenders on this Duran team. Also can run a little
bit as well. Gets taken down by Regis' Kellen Crow

(24:47):
after a a four yard game second and six long,
six short, seven coming up here for the Panthers, eight nothing,
Ramblers seven to fifty four left.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
To go, first quarter, and they've run more than they've
passed so far through their first series and a half
here now, but what that can do is set up
the pass later on on the drive.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
So at the thirty yard line now the handoff goes
trying to get around the edge and the extension there
of the defense is beautiful on the run for Heath
and Mac trying to get around the edge, he could
not know a labor in on the tackle again man.
He is all over the field for this Rambler team
on defense.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
It looked like a little jet sweep kind of a
touch pass to Mac, but he tried to turn the
corner and there was just turner, no corner to turn there.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Yeah, Taytan right out, the sophomore was also out there
on the edge as well. Labor is a guy who
just gets all over the field. It seems like, just
seems to make those stops that are galing another guy
as well. To look at up on the line for
the Ramblers as well. Third and now eight after that
loss of a couple of yards, and they'll fake the
handoff to Mac roll out to his right throat to
the right side. It is up and caught across the

(25:51):
forty up near the forty five. That is a first
down all the way to the forty eight. However, there
is a flag now it's back in the area potentially
roughing the pass of Let's see if we can hear
the call.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Perfect roughing the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
It is roughing the passer and that is going to
move it another fifteen yards past the end of that play.
So the play ended up going to the forty eight
yard line of Duran they're gonna get it now inside
the forty yard line of regis a big play with
six fifty seven left to go, first quarter, first sound
coming up for the Panthers. Eight nothing, Regius leaks.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
And how about Brett Briding on that pass. He knew
he was under duress, had about two or three black
jersey's bearing down on him, but he stood tall in
the pocket and as they re announced the roughing the
passer call, he was able to throw a tight spiral
right to his receiver and get the big first down
and more. Here for Durant, your officials tonight. The referee
is Jim Cunningham.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Jason Zappa, Mark Angel, Craig Deporsic, and Kurt hust are
the officials here this evening. Two receivers that left one
of the right shotgun formation. Here for Briding again. He
will fake the handoff roll to his left of It's
got a good pocket to throw in. Nothing there Now
he steps up ramblers. He gets away from the rambler pressure,
runs to the left side. He goes down on a slide.

(27:08):
You don't see that too often in the high school game,
the old slide move.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
There.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
They get a rambler to shoot at him. There but
did not make any contact. Gets about a three yard
game to the left side between the numbers and the
sideline to the thirty four yard line. It'll be second
about seven here at.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Quarter ran and it may not be something that you
see until you get to the pro level, but never
a bad idea for a quarterback to slide and.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Bronning again comes in thirty three for sixty five this season,
four to in seventy six yards through the air, five
touchdowns in one interception. He doesn't run much. He's only
got twenty nine yards on the ground this season, so
you don't see him scramble a ton, but he gets
three there. Second and seven from the regis thirty four
yard line. Handoff will go to the left side, hit
at the line, falling forward for a yard or two

(27:49):
is Isaac Sebelco. He'll get two up to the thirty
two yard line the defensive line there for the Ramblers
holding strong tyler Galing the aforementioned tyler on the defensive end,
stopping him there. Third and about five here for Durand
at the regis thirty two, five point thirty six left

(28:10):
to play in the first quarter. This feels like it's
four down territory anyway for Duran, So I'd imagine that
they're thinking about how do we get five yards and
two plays rather than just one two receivers.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Left, one offset right.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
They send a man in motion and it is a
handoff on the end, a round in motion to Kerluski
on the right edge. He is h and pushedback after
maybe a one yard game labor at the top of
the play. A couple other guys with the Ramblers at
the bottom of the pile as well, sto mean by
Mason McCoy. George Waltersdorf was there as well. He gets
to the thirty officially on his forward progress. Fourth and

(28:41):
three now here for Duran, and again i'd imagine they're
going for it.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
Yeah, I think, especially with an eight point deficit on
the scoreboard and being all the way on the regis thirty,
I think they have to. It's a lot of easier
to gain three yards than five yards. So let's see
what they dial up here.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
We'regious leading eight to nothing, four to forty five. I
left to go first quarter. Dran on a fourth down
their first fourth down conversion attempt of the game. Man
in the backfield there is Brett Brining one receiver left,
one right, he will fake the handoff, throws right and
said it's intercepted. Gayalen was right there thirty. He's got
space forty near side forty five to fifty. Then he's
ushered out of our ounds into Durant territory. What a

(29:21):
catch made by Tyler Galing.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
He threw it right to him and.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
It's a massive interception return marked out of the ounds
at the Duran forty four yard line. On The Ramblers
are in business.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
This Ramblers defense is doing what they do best. They're
flying around out there, they're dialing up the right coverages
and they just got the ball back and it's no mistake.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
Absolutely, I mean just threw it right to him. I
think dan Zon's was right there down near the play.
Dan what did you see because they threw it right
into the arms of Tyler Gaily.

Speaker 9 (29:49):
Yeah, And I mean Gaaling's already had a great season
so far. He's been an absolute menace in the rushing
the passer and gets a pick on that one. He
threw that almost perfectly, and Galing had seen that right
away and immediately.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Bit on it. Here comes the pitch initially here to
the left side, running across the forty right at the
forty it's white side on the pitch and the inverted
double wing gets about five yards on the play. Missus
drive starts at the durand rather forty four yard line.
Gain of four second and six here for the Rambers.

(30:24):
Eight nothing. Ramblers with the lead in a great field
position to start this drive for Regis kicking under four
minutes left to play in the first quarter. Inverted double
wing again for Brahmer. He's got a chance to hand
it off. Will hand it off from left to right,
goes Nick Helen following Brokers. He's got a ton of
guys in front of him. Thirty twenty four side ten five.

(30:45):
They give up on the play. Regis is in Duran
must have misread something because you got around the right
ende to Helen and there were absolutely zero white jerseys
and he had three blockers who didn't have anything to
do for him out in front of him.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Wow. I mean being able to turn that corner for
Helend as a runner and have four guys in front
of you giving you a police escort all the way
to the end zone, and having three of them not
having to do anything just unbelievable. This is a dominant
performance so far in this first quarter by Regis.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
I mean police escort with nobody on the roads.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Man, I mean that was absolutely why Schroeder is on too.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Attempt the extra point, A good extra point, good kicker
here for Regis, and he will send this one through
right down the middle and it is fifteen to nothing.
Regis with the lead three point forty two left to go.
First quarter. We're back right after this here on your
home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 13 (31:42):
Are you thinking about buying a new Apple, Mac iPad
or iPhone or maybe you just need help with what
you have?

Speaker 3 (31:48):

It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Hear it over you, guys. He welcome back in here too.
Carson bark. Happy to have you along with us here
on Moose count three one O six point seven Goose
one O six dot com. I are Radio Regiscatholic Schools
dot com here what I think we're one of three
radio stations here at again it's a big game, right
Regis Iran and boy reach us up. Fifteen nothing, three
forty two left to go.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
First quarter. Pretty wild start to this game here, Noah, Yeah, absolutely,
of course the touchdown on the opening kickoff for Regis
and then an interception turning into a touchdown again for
the Ramblers. Fifteen to nothing here with three forty two left,
and it's no wonder that there are three radio rooms here.
This is this is the biggest game environment.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Yeah, I mean the stands are I mean for two
schools that around, you know, massive enrollments to fill up
the stands like they are carsonmart pretty pressive. It comes
your side and that will bounce in toward the end
zone is to go out of bounds. The flag goes
in the air, hard for us to see in that
angle to Regis student section blocking us, but it goes
out probably around the two yard line, and so good

(33:16):
field position coming up here for Duran with three point
forty two left to play in the first quarter.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
And it's always deflating for an offense for a team
to march all the way down the field and then
turn the ball over like Duran just did. So it's
gonna be interesting to see how they bounce back from
that here on what will be their third offensive drive
of the evening.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah. Remember they had that big roughing the passer penalty
right that moved the ball up. Then that fourth down,
fourth and three, and even though they were on fourth down,
it still felt like they had a pretty good chance
to go in and score and get down there, know,
and then all of a sudden, like you said, that
interception just absolutely turning the game, turn the momentum the
way we were so wild.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Add on fourth down two on fourth and makeable.

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Yeah right, it was one of those where had a
good play set up and I just didn't see that.
Tyler Galen read it like a book. And now we
get a time out taken by Duran. Not a lot
of other games going on in high school football tonight,
being that it is a Thursday night as well, Tomorrow
night should be I think an exciting night of games.
You are going to be in Spring Valley. They're gonna

(34:18):
be taking on on cadat right, Yes, and it's gonna
be exciting. It should Yeah, that should be a pretty
balance game out man.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
Yeah, too fairly even teams.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
Of course.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
It's always a party down in Spring Valley. They got
the cars that drive right up to the field where
they watch from one of the cooler press boxes to
all those trees in the background. It's a fun place
to a game.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Three floors, right, yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
Yeah, and it's right up against the sideline to the
angle is unbelieving.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yeah, you almost can't see the sideline below you.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Yeah, unless you like stick your head out the I would,
I would.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
I would rank it up there with one of the
unique press boxes in in football, right, very fun. Mainville
State was my most unique one. Did a stout game
there and I just remember being like right next to
the home sideline. I remember a nest of hornets in
the corner of the boxes. So long as you ran
have hornets, I think you'll be good. At least that's
what we'll help with you. You'll have them there because

(35:09):
they are the hornets right and there, the yellow.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
Jackets something like that.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
As we are ready to go, so you will have
hornets tomorrow night. Just hopefully nothing's stinging you in the booth.
We have a timeout before we start up again because
of a timeout.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
What's going on here? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
I heard whistles, somebody they pointed at a player for
their equipment.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Yeah, somebody's equipment might be done.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
You heard Dan Zon's coming and Dan did you see
anything about what was happening there? Why they made this
why they made this savage?

Speaker 9 (35:39):
There was quite a few pointing, especially on both sides,
but it looked like the rest were talking to some
of the Regius players about I don't know if it
was uniform or helmet, but it appears to be just
they're talking to the coach right now on the sideline currently,
so we'll keep you updated on that.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Brian Brenner is in the is talking with the head
referee in Jim Cunningham. There must be something on the
helmets that the referees don't like. They're gonna have to
They're gonna have to go to the locker room. You're
they're all going to the locker room. Do they have
to change helmets? I believe so.

Speaker 9 (36:14):
I believe they're gonna have to change helmets. They are
all taking off their helmets almost in sequence right now,
all headed over towards the locker room. So there may
be a delay of game here well with an equipment well,
and that's the other.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Thing, Dan, we're wondering too. Maybe there could be some
weather in the area that I wonder if maybe one
of the referees saw a bolt of lightning something like,
have you seen anything down there as well?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Dan?

Speaker 3 (36:36):
Maybe looking around?

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Could we be in a weather situation.

Speaker 9 (36:39):
And it is getting a little darker out here as
we speak right now, just looking off in the distance,
it is a bit darker clause, but I haven't seen
anything lightning wise yet.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
You are sitting right standing right next to Nick Tabert
down there, who looks like he's a he is currently
weather app Yeah, yeah, right now it looks like heavy
rain and potential storms in the area too. There's a
bit of red that's going right over us, or will
soon to be going over us.

Speaker 9 (37:05):
But we'll see if any It looks like lightning close
towards them an omni area and kind of close on
the outskirts of Oa Claire, so they will take time
out for that and potentially a thirty minute one, depending
on how close it is.

Speaker 1 (37:17):
We might be hearing from Jim Cunningham, the head referee here.
Let's see if we can tune in and hear him.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
We'll come back out ten minutes.

Speaker 9 (37:28):
He said, what ten minutes, ten minutes, ten minutes, ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Because of the weather.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
I don't know what constitutes a ten minute delay, never thirty.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Yeah, that's a good one for me.

Speaker 9 (37:38):
I mean, I'm guessing it's something to do with the
distance of where the lightning was struck, because where the
Great Nick Tavern had shown me on the map it
looked like way on the outskirts of O Claire, which
is still in the distance and is still too close
to the area.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
To hold a football game.

Speaker 9 (37:54):
However, if it clears up in enough time, they won't
have to do another ten minutes delay, as well as
maybe another one after that, which could come out to
about thirty.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Minutes fair enough. So there is weather on the way,
it sounds like. And appreciate Dan for all the help
you brought us there of that, And yeah, from what
he said there, it sounds Noah, the red is bad.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Red is bad is bad. Usually red is bad. On
the obvy app on the thing. Yes, I can tell
you my great grandmother, May she rest in peace. From
the old country. She used to say that if there
was enough blue in the sky to make a great,
big pair of pants, then it wasn't going to rain.
You know, I see a lot of blue out there.
I'm not sure I see enough for.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
Wait, hold up, hold up here, No, what did she say?
What was that saying? By the way, fifteen nothing ramblers
were paused at the three forty two mark of the
first quarter for those of you who might be tuning
in a weather delay. What did she say?

Speaker 3 (38:47):
She said that this was apparently from the old country. Okay,
the old country, yep, I don't know which one. But
if there is enough blue in the sky to make
a big pair of pants, and it wasn't going.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
To rain, and you see enough to make a big
pair of pants.

Speaker 3 (39:03):
Well see that's the thing. Nobody ever says, how big
the big pair of pants? This is something I got
from my father, and he never knew either. Now I
saw Zeening, our video director.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
He's down on the field right now and he's flashing
numbers at me that mean absolutely nothing. So I have
no idea what he's flashing up here as well. Nonetheless,
it looks like we are headed into a weather delay,
and so what we will likely do is, at least
i'm moose country here, we will head back to the
classic country favorites. I don't know if we have any
delay liners or anything like that to play outside of

(39:34):
express delay liners, so maybe we'll hear those. I'm sure
our friend Dan Price is just having a good old
fun time back there as well, Dan Zohon's what have
you got down on the field? Have you heard anything else?

Speaker 9 (39:46):
It appears they have extended this to a thirty minutes
delay as of right now. It apparently is that close.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
To the area, all right, so a thirty minute delay
and is it a thirty Have you got any indication
like if they see another lightning bolt, we re start
the clock kind of thing. That's usually how they do it.
But I'm not I'm not privy to those conversations.

Speaker 9 (40:06):
Well, back when I used to play football, which is
about four to six odd years ago, the old man
dan's On's out of his prime, twenty three and out
of the prime. But back when I used to play,
it would restart every thirty minutes if it did, or
well at if they saw another lightning.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Strike, it would restart the clock.

Speaker 9 (40:26):
So we could get down to fifteen minutes and it
could be done. But there's a potential they don't see
anything in twenty minutes though, and send people back in early.
We'll just have to see yeah all right, so yeah,
so again, and there will be some sort of warm
up period and so on. It is supposed to drop,
you know, about five to ten degrees in the next
hour or two. That partly, I'm sure because of the front,

(40:46):
because of the rain that's coming through. We are all
and no one knows this from being from doing baseball
all summer long, that we become what we call it
amateur meteorologists, Yeah, amateur meteorologists. So we know the red
is bad, and we know that there's things called fronts,
and we know we know the numbers. And then when
we go to Canada for Thunder Bay, that's when we
really get messed up because they start going into Celsius

(41:07):
and then and then we have no idea.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
What the fact. But they measure the wind speeds and kilometers,
but not in maple syrup sometimes. That's how that's more
like Western Canada comb fair enough, both Vancouver guys. Yeah, yeah,
fair enough hooks indeed.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
All right, So three forty two left to go first quarter,
we are gonna be in a weather delay, and so
we will send it back to Moose Country for the
classic hits. We will also pause on our video stream
as well here too, and we will try to give
you up when we know, I would think within the
next half an hour, two an hour, will at least
know something could be before that as well. It is
fifteen nothing Regis with the lead on Duran. Three forty

(41:45):
two left to go first quarter. We are in a
weather delay. We will be back with more when we
can tell you about it here in just a bit.
You're listening to high school football here on Moose Country
one oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
to six point seven.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
And welcome back in here to Carson Park. We are
just about done with a weather delay that had no
weather and we should be getting ready to go here
between Regis and Durand again about three minutes and what
forty two seconds? I think they put a three minute
warm up time up on the clock here, but three
minutes forty two seconds left in the first quarter. It's
regis fifteen. It's Duran zero about a half an hour ago. Noah,

(42:31):
the officials, I think they saw lightning. From what I'm told,
most of the storms and the cells and whatnot are
north of here, and everything's moving from the south to
the north. So I think they saw them got nervous
and said, hey, we can't play right now, even though
that was the stuff that was moving out, not moving in.
And we have not seen any rain, we have not

(42:51):
seen any lightning from our broadcast perch, and we've just
sat here conversing for thirty minutes. So I mean, guess
that's been nice.

Speaker 3 (43:00):
It's interesting. You know, it's interesting of course thinking about
baseball over the summer. A lot of times there will
be lightning in the air, and you know, you'll get
on pires say oh no, I didn't see it. Play on,
play on, not in any you know, big league or anything,
but here you have kind of the ope, yeah, they
want to get the games in. Yeah, it's kind of
it's nice that it brings balance to the sports world.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Look, I suppose yeah, it again, it is all out
of a sense of caution, and you know, these are
high school kids, and you know, obviously the you know,
worst case, you know, getting struck by lighting or lightning
striking close and you want absolutely nothing to do with that.
You want to make sure everybody's safe and that kind
of thing too, So no need to risk any of that.
And even though this is a big game, massive game
in terms of the Global Belt Conference and Division five,

(43:43):
Division six in terms of the rankings and who's going
to rank where, who's gonna host where when we get
to the playoffs, and we are ways away from that,
but there's a lot of implications to this game. And
as we know, Regis got out to the big start obviously,
the massive seventy five yard touchdown return from or Cisco
on the opening kickoff, and then a Nick Helen forty
yard touchdown run right there before our delay, a play

(44:07):
on the inverted double wing that most teams are ready
for those big end rounds, and all of a sudden,
there were no white jerseys in front of him, and
he had three blockers that didn't need anything to do
or didn't have anything to do, got in and then
a kickoff and then we got into the delay. So
that's what got us to the fifteen to nothing mark.
And really, you know, it's been all Regius and for
Duran man the delay, I mean it's perfect for them

(44:27):
because it was all rolling downhill for Regis. They needed
something to break up the momentum, and you know, give
it a rain delay, give it whatever you can get
to stop what was going.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
On there with your Durant. Yeah, you know, it's certainly
something that I'm sure they weren't planning on. How can
you plan a delay, but they were certainly willing to
take this opportunity to go back in the locker room
kind of refocus, think about what had happened to give
them that fifteen point episode and what they can improve
upon here as we look to finish out the first

(44:58):
quarter and to really get on with the rest of
this one.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Duran will have the ball first and ten on their
own thirty five yard line to start off the resumption
of this first quarter. The problem, of course, we're gonna
run into here is that there are other storms. There
are plenty of cells on the way, and so will
we have to go into another lightning or another weather delay.
At some point, we were kind of feeling like that's
coming up here, but it's just a matter of when

(45:22):
that's gonna happen. So rather than if, and hopefully we
can get through as much as we can before that happens,
and off we go. So first and ten coming up
from their own thirty five yard line, Duran moving left
to right, the Ramblers moving right to left here in
the first quarter to readius up fifteen to nothing here
on the Duran Panthers as we get set to resume

(45:44):
here from about a thirty minute weather delay. Two receivers left,
one to the right and the handoff will go around
the right edge the run coming from Sebelco. He's got
not much maybe the thirty seven for a gain of
two on the play, and were right there to make
the stop once again, Carter White sign and others stepping
up to make the stops. Second and eight here for

(46:06):
the Panthers of Durant.

Speaker 3 (46:07):
We've talked about it, especially before the delay, but this
Duran team, I think they know that they need to
establish the run. We've seen them go to it more
often in the pass and they tried it again.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
There they didn't again, didn't get much on that. Sibelco
is the running back, is the tailback. He's been getting
the hand handoffs with Ethan Mack. Two receivers left. One
to the right. This is Briding, who will hand it
off up the middle. Big head. A seam to the
forty forty five goes to Belco. He's got the first
down as he spins up to the forty seven yard line.
That's a ten yard gain. On second and eight. Stop

(46:39):
comes in the secondary for Regis. Turtle was there and
it's a first down for Duran.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
That could be a very big play here for the Panthers.
Being able to bust off a ten yard game gain
on the ground really gives a lot of confidence to
your offense, especially your run games, and the big guys
up front too.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Here come the Duran Panthers coming up to the line
ten at their own forty seven yard line. Two thirty
nine to go here in the first quarter. Two receivers left,
one to the right, Duran and the white traveling uniforms.
They'll hand off to them. Go to Mac on the
left side, pushing the pile up near midfield.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Looks like you got two on the play.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
Its student body left and a host of black jerseys
stepping in to make the stop. The first guy up
was Matt Palisek for the Ramblers. It'll be second and
about eight maybe second and seven now at the fifty
yard line to twelve left to go in the first
quarter and Duran starting to move the ball.

Speaker 9 (47:34):
Well.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
They got a decent drive on their second drive of
the game, and they had that fourth down conversion that
ended up being an interception from Tyler Galing and led
to that touchdown run from Nick Helen. Since then, Duran
has struggled to move the ball. Two receivers left, one
right again Mac in motion trying to go on the

(47:55):
end or on left side. Regis is there, there's a
hit in the backfield. Now pushes up near the line
of scrimmage. Minal lost the yard on the play. Good
job again, what is Rambler team does not let a
runners end around runs get around the edge at all,
do they?

Speaker 9 (48:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (48:09):
I mean, I'm sure it's something they see a lot
in practice. They run it a lot themselves on offense.
But that's at least the second time we've seen durand
Arkansas try and run something east west and find absolutely
no real estate. I think the takeaway is, if you
want to gain yards on the ground, you gotta go
north south. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:25):
Speed of Ramblers defense is very, very impressive. One thirteen
left to go. First quarter reads fifteen durand zero, third
and eight from just inside the fifty yard line, a
pass play and a rollout to the right. Pressure came.

Speaker 3 (48:38):
He was trying to throw that one.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
To the feet of his running back Sebelco, and pressure
was coming around the edge for the Ramblers as well
as trying to chase them down. There was Carter white side,
and he decided to throw that into the turf and
live to fight another down.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
Yeah, I was gonna say, Brian, it looked like he
just dirted it. And really in a position like that
where you know your only real open receiver is still
pretty much you know, and incompletions a lot better than
a turnover. Punt unit is out one oh four left
to play here in quarter number one, and it is
Briding who will do the punting.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
Duties here as well. He stands at his own thirty
seven yard line. Two returners back at their own fifteen
here for Regis is both right out and Cisco. Cisco's
going to get it at the sixteen. He muffs it,
now has to scoop it up. He falls on it
back at the fifteen yard line. Probably the right call.
After he muffed that punt, no chance for the return
after his kickoff return earlier in the game, and the

(49:30):
Regis Ramblers take.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
Over at their own fifteen Hey, good job by Cisco there,
you know, not trying to do too much, not trying
to compound a mistake. It's just great awareness from a
well coach for regious seake.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Regis takes over with their worst starting field position of
the game at their own fifteen yard line. We know
that's something that it always seems Regis right in their games,
at least at the beginning of this season. So many
you know, starting field positions on the plus side of
the fifty.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
You're back in their own territory.

Speaker 1 (49:58):
This sun, they get a long field in front of
fifty twenty six seconds left to play. First quarter, fifteen nothing,
Ramblers with the lead, and it will be Joey Brammer
under center in the inverted double wing again and he
will fake the handoff they want to pass. There's pressure coming,
rolls to his right, throws it downfield incomplete, nobody close by,
but clearly to the line of scrimmage and clearly out

(50:19):
of the pocket. He just got rid of that because
it was a good pressure and good rush up the
middle from Duran to get back there and put a
little pressure on him and make the incompletion.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
Yeah, and just a good job there by Brohmer to
you know, I think it was a good play call
to try and go to something a little like play
action there, but getting rid of the ball when there
was nothing downfield living to fight another down. That's the
right call.

Speaker 1 (50:41):
Dan Shawl's was a man providing that pressure in the backfield,
and there was really nobody to throw to form Bromer downfield.

Speaker 3 (50:47):
He wasn't able to.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Stay in the pocket. Inverted double wing again. Second and
ten from the fifteen yard line, hard count. He'll pitch
it to the end on the right, cut it up
the middle to the twenty, still on his feet near
the twenty one, and now it's a push up to
about the twenty two two yard line. Goes the runner.
I think it was h No, it's labor this time.
No a labor getting the hand UF. He'll get six
yards on the play. Third and four here for regis

(51:09):
from their own twenty one and not sure if they're
gonna need to run another player or not. I didn't
see where the clock was when he got stopped. It's
gonna be close.

Speaker 3 (51:16):
It is gonna be close. I think they're going to
the line anyway, just in case.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
Back judge does not put his hand in the air.
We took under twenty seconds left to play in the
first quarter. And see if Brahmer come to the line
in the inverted double wing, the hand goes in the
air at about eleven, so they would have had to
run a play.

Speaker 9 (51:35):
They do.

Speaker 1 (51:35):
They got a first down. No more right if they
got across the thirty in rolling across the thirty five
yard line goes Brody Tarbucks, the tailbox tailback. Rather in
that inverted double wing, they'll mark him down at the
thirty seventh. That's a sixteen yard game. It's a first out,
and that will take us to the end of the
first quarter. It's the Regis Ramblers fifteen. The Duran Panthers
zero started the second right after this. Here on your

Speaker 3 (52:56):
It's O Claire.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Regis fifteen, Duran zero and Noah. First quarter dominated by
Regis despite the thirty minute weather delay. Now they got
the ball back, they've got a first down and they're
looking the prime to go in for another touchdown.

Speaker 3 (53:09):
Yeah, it looked great. We're just coming off the quarter
break with Brody Tarboxy. What was that a sixteen yard run?
Before the end of the quarter.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
Indeed, it was is they'll fake the end around handed
off to white side, going right to left out of
the inverted double wing, and there's nothing there host of
white jerseys pushing back after no gain. That was a
big team tackle there, basically for the Panthers on that
left side of the line. It did look though, and
you know, I don't know if they overcommitted after they
saw the ball, but it looked like there was a
ton of space coming around the right edge. It was

(53:40):
almost like Duran selling out for one runner in that
inverted double wing. And if they don't get the right side,
there's a plenty of green space for the Ramblers. See
what they do here. It's gonna be second and nine
now from the thirty eight yard line for Regis hard Count.
Pitch goes to the tailback on the left side. The
wing back running across the forty five I mean up
right at the forty five yard line, goes Braxton Tarbucks

(54:03):
up to the forty six. He'll be about a yard
and a half short of the first down. Third and
a yard coming up here for the Ramblers.

Speaker 3 (54:12):
It's pretty incredible that tar Box was able to get
about eight or nine on that play as pretty much
since the time he reached the line of scrimmage all
the way till he was brought down Dame Schalls was
wrapped around. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (54:23):
Again, he just kind of kept the knees moving, the
feet moving, kept high as well, kept that nice high
center of gravity so that he couldn't be taken down
from behind as well. Inverted double wing again for Bramer
Bromer hard count. He will fake the handoff, He's gonna
keep it himself trying to get around the right edge.
Makes a move and he's gonna get a couple here
as he's pushed out a mountains near the fifty yard line.

(54:44):
Nicely done to make the stop there and kind of
stay home on the play for the tackler in Devin Gloss,
and it will be a first down regardless though as
he only needed a yard. He gets the fifty officially
first down.

Speaker 3 (54:56):
Ramblers, and this puts you right on the other side
of midfield, well technically right at midfield if you want
to split hairs. This really opens up the playbook, but
I'm sure we're going to see that Inverton's double wing again.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
Ten to forty left to play second quarter Ramblers fifteen
Duran zero Here in week five of the WIA football
season in high school, Brohmer the hardcount pitches it around
the left edge, that is right out, trying to find
the edge to the forty five dragon a tackler before
he gets pulled down from behind up to the forty
four yard line. Good job staying with it, not letting

(55:27):
go there by Dan Shawls again and it will be
second in about four here for the Ramblers.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
And a good job to get more than five there on.
That gain of six makes it second in medium and here,
you know, with essentially three downs to get four yards.
I wouldn't be surprised if I saw the Ramblers take
a shot here.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
Noah Labor comes in as one of the wingbacks. I
think Tarbucks Braxon Tarbucks is the other wing back as well.
And you're right, this feels kind of like play action
time second and four here for the Ramblers it is Bromer.
It is a pitch over to Braxton Tarbox running right side.
He's got the first down by a body is He
just kind of falls over the forty yard line to
about the thirty nine and he got a number of

(56:05):
duran Panthers there to bring him down, but just they're
too light late. That's Blesserveld that brings him down. Beistervelt,
excuse me. And it's a first down to the forty nine.
Forty eight left to go. Second quarter, first and ten
from the forty yard line.

Speaker 12 (56:21):
First.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
Not a lot of other action going on in high
school football tonight. Elk Mound hosting Oscio Ferrett Child Tomorrow,
Stanley Boyd hosting Mondovie, Nilsville hosting Fall Creek. Those are
the other Clover Belt games. Pitch goes to the man
of tailback on the left side. Big run here right side.
That's Helen again to the thirty first, the speed of
the twenty near side and taking down from behind up
near the ten yard line. As he was again into

(56:46):
the secondary quickly about a thirty yard run. We'll see
where they mark him. Officials marking him right near the ten.
They're gonna mark him down at the eleven twenty nine
yard game. Nick Hellen with the burst of speed in
this ballgame.

Speaker 3 (56:58):
Heck of a carry right there. He had great vision
on that play. He saw where the hole was going
to develop, hit it well and got a boatload of yards, got.

Speaker 1 (57:06):
Some help from the umpire and the back judge there
the near sideline judge, I think he might have pulled
something running down the sideline. He was not there to
make the spot. Now he's stretching out the left leg.
Hopefully he's okay. Hand off to Brody Tarback's right up
the gut in the inverted double wing. Keep pushing. Did
he get to the goal line? Yes, he did, touchdown
Brody Tarback's an eleven yard run and he went through

(57:29):
a mass of humanity to get there. It's twenty one nothing,
rages eight fifty eight left to go second quarter.

Speaker 3 (57:34):
You know, I know that no team is unstoppable, especially
at the high school level, But the more I see
this Regius offense, especially man, what can you do? Well?

Speaker 1 (57:46):
You know it was that was kind of the way
for Regis last season until they ran into Grandsburg in
Level three of the playoffs. But you're right, it was
up until that point they had nothing going to stop them.
As here as a kick from Schroeder, it's up in
good twenty two to nothing. How long how far can
they go? We'll find out. Eight to fifty eight left
to go second quarter? Back after this right here on
your home for high school football.

Zon's down on the field as well.

Speaker 12 (59:00):
Well.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Noah, I'm telling you what this redis team eighty five
yard drive and they made that look easy.

Speaker 3 (59:05):
Yeah, they did.

Speaker 1 (59:06):
They.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
You know, they're used to having a lot better field
position than that. As we've talked about over the course
of the season. But really, this field could be two
hundred three yards long and I would still count on her.
You're just getting a touchdown. And we talked about how
close these two teams were, at least on paper coming
into it. Well, twenty two points separate him. Halfway through
the second.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
I told Dan I'd look down to see him down
there with his hand in the air Ifia has something
to add as we have a couple of technical issues,
and we'll go to him after this return on the
right side up to the twenty and taking down right
at the twenty yard line, goes the returner there for
durand in a Miles Kurlewski, and they will take over
at their own twenty yard line. Dan, that drive pretty impressive.

(59:45):
That Brody Tarback's run pretty impressive as well, Yes it was,
Yes it was.

Speaker 9 (59:51):
As Brady Tarbas gets another touchdown season or Brody tarp
one on the season. This puts him up twenty two
to nothing, and man did he grab some He had
some white jersey's dragged all over him as he reached
across that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
Goal line to get that touchdown.

Speaker 9 (01:00:05):
Regis Ramblers up twenty two nothing and man have they
been marching throughout this game, Dan, you're really.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Close to it here. The near side line judge seems
like he's got a problem with his leg. I don't
know if he pulled something or up, but the referee
talking to him before.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
This drive starts. What do you see.

Speaker 9 (01:00:18):
He seemed like he was in some pain on that
last drive. Yeah, he definitely pulled. He definitely pulled something. Well,
he's hobbling a little bit. He isn't able to really
get as quick across the field, which could have some
issues later on officiating. But we have backup reps for
a reason, and it looks like he's gonna be able
to play through it.

Speaker 12 (01:00:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:00:38):
Craig J. Porsick, the line judge is the man who
is hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Hopefully he's okay as he is over to the twenty
yardly he couldn't get to the goal line. I think
that was maybe one of the issues there. When Tarbac's
got that run and is now their throw goims out
to the left side, catch made at the seventeen yard
line to the twenty five. Want to hit put on
on the near side by Noah Labor. He is the
hitmaster on the near side as the catch was once
again by Kroluski, but it gets about seven eight yards

(01:01:05):
on the play. But what a hit put on by
Labor on that pass out into the flat on the
left side.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
Yeah, great job, great fundamentals. That was a form tackle
nowhere Labor laying the shoulder down there and stopping any
momentum that the runner might have had.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
Drive starting at their own twenty yard line here for Durant,
eight twenty left to go in the second quarter, second
and two from their own twenty eight yard line on
the near hash mark missing on the Panthers just having
a hard time getting anything going Righting in the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
Shotgun, you'll have two receivers left, one to the right.

Speaker 1 (01:01:33):
This tailback is Sebelco, eight minutes left to play here
in the second quarter, back to pass, there comes a
pressure throws it at the feet of the man that
he was trying to set a screen up for the
other running back today Ethan mac and decided I don't
want to lay you out into a big hit, so
I'm just gonna throw that at your feet and we'll
try to get the two yards on the next play.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Now, a lot of times offenses used that screen pass
in order to use the defense's pressure against them to
get them to kind of overcommit toward the backfield. On
that time, though, whether it was quarterback, running back, anybody else,
nobody was open.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
The closest man to where that ball fell for the
defense was Brody Tarbas. I know because the family with
the Tarbas Boys shirts down below us just made that
big cheer that you heard. Man in motion here for Duran.
Run goes up to got nothing doing. It's Tyler Galing,
the initial hit put on, then a hit coming in
from Mason McCoy on the handoff to Sebelco. He got

(01:02:27):
maighty a yard of the twenty nine at your own
twenty nine. You're down twenty two seven forty five. Loves
second quarter. It's a tough call. There's some coaches who
might go for it, saying we got to do something.

Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
Yeah, I think you know on paper, fourth and one
pretty much anywhere on the field, especially when you're losing,
is a go for it. But in reality, I think
there are a lot of coaches that aren't going to
looks like Duran's going to. Let's see what they dial up.
Riding in the shotgun.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
One receiver left, two out to the right, Sebelco is
his tailback off set right now, Ragius will back up
and I think they may have drawn a false start
by in about what six or seven guys on the line.
Then three of them just backed up and that made
the offensive line flinch.

Speaker 3 (01:03:06):
And they're going back five yards. Ouch. That's that's unfortunate
if you're at Durand Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Indeed it is.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
That was just I mean, just smart play, right.

Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
I mean, this is the types of things that Bryan
Brenner dials up and sure enough he made things happen
down there to get that false start. That's just a
savvy little play there on defense. And so the punt
unit is out, it will be Cisco, I believe, back
to return. He's the only guy back there this time
for the Ramblers, and it is briding to punt, standing

(01:03:40):
back near his own ten yard line. Seven nineteen left
to go, second quarter, regis twenty two durand zero. Kick
will come and he just gets it away. Cisco has
it chance to return at the fifteen and nearside forty
five and he's taking down at the forty one yard
line about a ten yard return there. And boy, there
are about three different Ramblers who are close to getting
a fingertip on that.

Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
Yeah, I wasn't sure that Briding, who was also punting,
was going to get that ball in the air. There
were three white jersey excuse me, three black jersey's bearing down,
and man, that Regis rush got there and I hurd.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
A good, regious rush and as you said, now, great
field position again here for Regis is they always seem
to kind of play that field position game. And they
are going to start this drive out at the Duran
forty one yard line, the seven to twelve left to play.
Regius up twenty two to nothing, and here there is
that split out formation that you see from the Ramlers.
DJ Cooper is now the quarterback. Three receivers right, one

(01:04:35):
to the left, and he takes a snap, looks left,
now rolling to his right, steps up in the pocket,
gets away initially from the pressure, running with it, he
fumbles ball still on the dirt, still on the turf,
and Duran comes up with it. Duran has it at
their own thirty seven yard line. Cooper hit from behind
and could not hold onto the ball. Didn't see you
initially stripped the ball, but the recovery comes for Camden

(01:04:56):
Gilbertson and the Duran Panthers have it at their own
thirty seven.

Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Yeah, and that's I'm sure that's not the kind of
start that Cooper wanted to for his night. I'm sure
that's that goes without saying, but really, just it shows
you that this Duran team, they might be down by
twenty two points, but there's still no quitting them.

Speaker 1 (01:05:16):
I have a feeling that Brian Brenner is going right
back to the inverted double wing on the next offensive
drive after that, as Duran will now come out with
a new set of downs, they will start at their
own thirty eight. Officially, two receivers left and movement and
it's movement from the right guard. It looked like there
for durand and that is Garrett Bieserveld who moves early.

(01:05:37):
And it'll be first and fifteen coming up here for Duran.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
It's there. I believe I'm right in saying that's their
second straight false start penalty when they line up on offense.

Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Indeed it was. Indeed it is seven two to go
here in the second and both teams struggling a little
bit here to kind of get things going again in
the second quarter. The Ramblers up twenty two to nothing
here on Duran in a top ten matchup. Ramblers second
in Division six, Duran seventh in Division five. Running around

(01:06:07):
the right side fort Sebelco. He has dripped up across
the line down near the thirty five look at about
two yards around the right edge. I leave Rambler's in
on the plane. Mason McCoy was there. I think to
trip him up and it will be second in about
thirteen here for Duran.

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
Still well behind the sticks. You gotta figure out. I
think it'll be interesting to see how Duran decides to
divide and conquer this remaining what fourteen yards they've got
to go.

Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
Second in, yeah, fourteen thirteen yards here back at their
own thirty five yard line, six twenty eight left to go.
Second quarter two receivers out to the left, looking there
as briding the whole way. Catchy has made right as
the ball got there, so was the defender and Carter
white Side catch made and stopped right at the forty
one yard line. Give him six. But man white Side
right there to make the hit and briding, you.

Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
Know, we talk about it a lot. He was staring
down as receiver, who's looking there the whole way and
Whiteside there laying the hit. He just read the quarterback size,
he knew where the ball was going to go.

Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
Catch made out the edge by Alex Hagnes. Suits is
only just a second reception all season long. And now
back to the line. Third and about seven here for
duran As they've gotten back some of the penalty yard
eage and more five point forty four left to play.
Second quarter, third and seven, low snap, Briding rolling to
his right, pressure coming throws, catch made and immediately hit

(01:07:30):
as a tailbacks to Belco after about a two maybe
a three yard game to the forty three yard line.
No Labor there again. Man, that kid is all over
the field and Galing there as well. Wow. I mean
these guys are just all over the place. Galing and Labor.
They're the two guys to watch when you're watching the
Regis defense.

Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Yeah. I think that Briding as soon as he lines up,
he's got to figure out where those guys are pre snap.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
Yeah, once again the punt unit out fourth and five
coming up for Durant. This could be a potential fake situation.
I'd be aware of it. I'm ree. Just as Cist
goes back to return this, I'm back at about his
own twenty eight yard line. Briding is the quarterback and
the punter standing at his own thirty three snap goes Hi,
he's gonna run to his right shirt up, he's going

(01:08:13):
for it. He's taken down from behind, then flung forward.
It's gonna be close, very very close. I think they're
gonna give him the first down. He was hit before
he got to the line and then kind of flung
forward and he gets six yards on the run. And
it's a first down for Duran. And I've watched too
much football, I think no, because there was the fake Indeed.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Yeah, how about that is the kids called ball knowledge
by the incompas.

Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
Unfortunately that doesn't help my Vikings win on Sundays, I find.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
So there you have it. We can't all be Packer fan, indeed,
First and ten do we all want to be Packer fan?

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
That's a real question. First and ten from their own
forty nine. A six yard scramble there on the fake
punt and riding back in business. Two receivers to his left.
He's got a good pocket this time, throws it over
the middle of his incomplete that was almost kind of
like a hesitant throw. Went right through the hands of Mac,
But it looked like he wanted to throw it maybe deep,
and then stopped and threw it underneath. That was a
kind of a weird looking arm motion.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Yeah, Mac was coming across on I think what you
might call a drag route, maybe a crossing route over
the middle of the field, and brought in. It looked
like he changed the arm angle kind of went almost
side arm on that one. Just could not get the
ball there the way he wanted it though. Yeah, right
through the hands of Mac, but again I think it
was a little bit sort of from that funny angle.

Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
He wasn't ready for it. Two receivers left here once
again briding hands it off Sibelco around the right edge,
tripped up at the line, falls up near the fifty,
gets a yard on the play. Good job getting into
the backfield there once again by the Ramblers.

Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Was McCoy I.

Speaker 1 (01:09:40):
Think it was who tripped him up for a one
yard game over. Ben's are a credit for the tackle
here over the PA, but I think McCoy was a
guy that was in there to disrupt that one. Four
minutes left to play here in the second quarter, Ramblers
twenty two durand zero game that we had about a
thirty minute weather delay in wait for rain to come

(01:10:01):
and lightning that never did. Two receivers to the left,
riding back to pass. Here comes the pressure, looks left,
throws it over the middle, intercepted at the forty yard
line of the fifty and down across into Duran territory
goes the interceptor who came up with it because number
thirty four. Therefore the Ramblers comes up with the interceptl
Tucker Darrow and indeed gets the pick to the forty

(01:10:23):
seven and the return and the Ramblers back in business.

Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
Yeah, that's the second of the night for Briding. I'm
sure that's not something he's too proud of. But this
regius defense at all three levels, the D line, the
linebackers in the secondary, they're making plays all over the field.

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
See if Dan saw anything on that interception? Man, another
one kind of like the Galing interception.

Speaker 9 (01:10:42):
What did you see almost thrown almost in the exact
same way, in the exact same place.

Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
That was a telegraph pass and it went straight into
the hands.

Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
There in a great interception. And now I'll run to
the right side, and there is Nick Helen going again
up near the thirty five yard line. He's got thirteen
yards on first and another first down here for the Ramblers,
starting at their own forty seven, and they are trying.

Speaker 3 (01:11:05):
To build the momentum right down the field. Yeah, I
think momentum it might be an understatement here. It's it's
like the field is tilted.

Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
Indeed. I mean it just feels like this is one
of those where the Ramblers are trying to pounce inverted
double wing again and the handoff will go this time
to white side right to left, gets through the hole
initially up near the thirty and then gets strung down
about at the twenty nine yard line, right up the gut.
The White side gets five. It'll be second and five

(01:11:34):
here for the Ramblers. I said, go again back down
to Dan Dan. I mean, at least from up here,
it feels like the field really for most of this
game has been tilted toward Duran. Is it felt like
that down there as well? It really has.

Speaker 9 (01:11:47):
I mean just everything that Duran has going for them
is suddenly it's just one step forward and two step backwards.

Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
Here comes a handoff right side.

Speaker 1 (01:11:55):
This is tarbox Boy put it up power pushing across
the twenty five. He's still on his.

Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
Feet near the twenty.

Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
That'll be about an eight yard gain all the way
to the twenty one yard line. And the tailback of
that averted double wing, Brody Tarbox, who already has a touchdown,
showing off the power on that run.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Yeah, the strength. I mean, it's clear that these guys
get in the weight room in the offseason and.

Speaker 1 (01:12:16):
They want to go quickly to the line. There's only
two thirty five left in the second quarter. Regis twenty
two durand zero. Another equipment issue here for Tarbox. He's
gonna come back up to the line and good to
go in the inverted double wing as the tailback. It
is a pitch to white side. White side has blockers
in front of him trying to find space on the
left edge, breaks the first tackle across the twenty and

(01:12:36):
he's near the fifteen. They're gonna mark him down with
the sixteen yard line. But another good carry of about
six yards on first down, and you do the math,
You're gonna get a lot of first downs. You're gonna
get touchdowns doing that.

Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
Yeah. Absolutely, the way that this Regis team has moved
down the field, it's been without equal here through the
first half. Now with two minutes remaining, it's gonna be
interesting to see how they manage the clock and whether
they're willing to give durand Arkansas another chance with the
ball before halftime.

Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
Yeah, I think they're gonna maybe take a little bit
of time. Down There comes Bromer with the handoff Tarbox
right up the gut, ten makes a cut and he
falls on top of a defender down near the five
yard line. Go mark him down just outside the five.
It'll be a ten yard gain, another first down. It's
first in goal and Rody Tarbacs showing off the power
right now, and I think he feels like he can't

(01:13:21):
be stopped by this Duran defense.

Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
Yeah, And if he can't be, and if he is stopped,
they've got two or three other running backs that feel
that way too.

Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
First end goal. They're gonna mark him at the six
yard line. Here for regis once again Bromer under center
in the inverted double wing far hash mark. He fumbles
a snap, now picks it back up, goes down after
a couple of yard loss. Wanted to pitch it out
to Labor and just never had a good handle on
it and then fell on it for about a two
three yard loss back to the eight yard line, job

(01:13:50):
falling on top of it. We've seen turnovers being issued
for both teams in this first half, and DJ Cooper
with that fumble there that thwarted the initial momentum dry
that Regis was trying to pick up on, and a
couple interceptions have helped Regis kind of regain it. Clock
still ticking, fifty three seconds left, second quarter, twenty two
nothing Ramblers pitch will go once again to ride out

(01:14:10):
right out right to left, finds a hole, he's down
here the goal line, he's still on his feet, and
then thrown backwards around the one yard line. Heck of
a run there for rideout, and now we will get
the time out taken by Regis, their first of the half.
Forty seconds remaining in the half. No one. A good
run there so far, I think Dan might. I'm not
sure if we can pick him up with where he
is at down on the field, But that was another

(01:14:32):
run there for rideout Dan that looked like he was
awfully close to getting in. Yes, it was Dan. He
was absolutely moving on that line. And it wasn't even
just right out either.

Speaker 9 (01:14:42):
It was a mixture of everyone on that team just
completely pushing him forward, keeping that momentum going. And that's
why as a coach you got to keep your legs
moving no matter what. Even if you got picked off
the ground, you could still get set down.

Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
And keep moving those legs and keep churning forward. And
that's what he did. He stayed on the.

Speaker 9 (01:14:58):
Ground though he got pushed forward and almost got that touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:15:02):
All right, So we got we had a little bit
of a toush push situation there as we got down
near the goal line.

Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Not quite the same type of deal. But this Rambler team,
I mean, you know, Mike Seliman always used to say
student body left, student body right with this team, and
it's it really does kind of explain this team, noah, right.
I mean they just go as many guys as they
can to get out in front of a runner, and
they say, how many guys can we block as we
go that way?

Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
Yeah, they believe they can push harder than anybody. And
you know, all over the last few years we've seen
them be proven right in there.

Speaker 1 (01:15:30):
Once again, this will be Brahmer under center. They will
give it up the middle and not enough on their
tarbocks got the carry and they just filled up the
middle there, did Duran, and that will bring us down
to thirty seconds, and once again we'll see the time
out taken by Regis. So twenty eight seconds. Now it's
stick down too, and it will be their second time.

(01:15:50):
They got one left. It'll be are we to fourth
down now?

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
Or are we to third?

Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
We're on second, three were on and all of a sudden,
the down mark saying fourth, the board is saying third,
and now I have confusion, at least I'm confused.

Speaker 3 (01:16:06):
That's that's what some people would call it discrepancy.

Speaker 1 (01:16:10):
Indeed, though I wouldn't have no Why would you call
it that? That sounds too big of a word.

Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
I suppose can't even pronounce it.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
Yeah, twenty eight seconds left. It is third down the
down marker. The guys in the chain gang are asking
the officials what is it fourth or is it third?
They have it as fourth, the board has it as third.
The officials have not signaled anything yet. Oh it is
fourth down. Okay, okay, I missed it. I guess I
missed it down in there, and it is fourth down

(01:16:40):
and they are gonna go for It's obromer under center
inverted double wing far hash mark fourth and goal from
the two. It's a pitch from left to right, following
blockers into the end zone. He goes for the touchdown.
I'm the carrying that is Nick Helen again his second
touchdown of the game. He has been probably the best
of the wingbacks I think so far in this game.

(01:17:01):
He punches it in from two yards out twenty three
seconds remain in the first half, reaches twenty eight duran zero.

Speaker 3 (01:17:06):
It's tough on a run up the middle like that
to get through the line untouched, but Helen did so.
You know, just running up the middle and being able
to have your blockers clear that much space for you
on an inside run is really something short around to
a tempty extra point.

Speaker 1 (01:17:23):
Ramer is the holder is a bad kick, terrible kick.
Not sure what happened there. And we also got a
flag on the play. What in the world happened there
that one.

Speaker 3 (01:17:30):
Think it looked like it went into like the back
of the cabs of the offensive.

Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
Yeah, and here comes a call holding.

Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
On the offense player crafting another player.

Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
Third and on the block. Okay, that shouldn't matter because
they'll just decline it because it was no good and
it should be just twenty eight nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:17:51):
Is that the case, We're gonna do it again. Indeed,
it is a client all right, it is.

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
A climb twenty eight nothing. Regius went the lead here
over Dura. Let's say quick break. Come back with the
final twenty three seconds of the first half. After this,

Welcome back here to Carson Park. We had a thirty
minute to lay tonight due to some lightning in the area,
but we are almost at the end of the first half,
twenty eight nothing Ramblers with the lead on Duran twenty
three seconds remain. You could do some Noash and dan
Zon's with you here tonight from Carson Park. Regis getting
set for a kickoff after another Nick Hellen touchdown run.
Nick Hellen now up to two touchdowns in the game

(01:19:11):
for the Ramblers. That goes some four on the season
and a great start to his season. He or great
side of his game. He's been the fastest probably wing
back on the field for Regis. That's been impressive. That's
tough company in that running back room. Schroed are gonna
kick this one away here for the Ramlers. Two men
back to return here for Durand. It is a low

(01:19:31):
kick to the New York side, skips up at the
eleven and taken there by Mack Mack trying to get
around the right edge. He gets around the initial tackler
up to the twenty makes a movie with the twenty
five taken.

Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
Down near the thirty yard line.

Speaker 1 (01:19:41):
Good job getting around the edge, making a couple guys
miskets to the thirty. However, only fifteen seconds left, Durand
does have two time outs. Say are a team that
passes right, they can get the ball down field and
maybe take a shot. Try to sneak in some points here.
We'll see.

Speaker 12 (01:19:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
I mean to me, if you're Durand Arkansas, you gotta
go five wide here fifteen seconds left. Just put it
him in the spread formation and rate it out at
the line and see what you got.

Speaker 1 (01:20:06):
They are going to send two to the left and
that kind of tight end back, kind of offset to
the right side.

Speaker 3 (01:20:11):
Of the formation.

Speaker 1 (01:20:12):
That's Mac over there and it is briding in the
shotgun formation. Far hash mark from the twenty nine sends
Mack in motion. It's a handoff and said to Sebell,
go to the thirty thirty five, and he stripped up
across the forty and clock will stop to move the chains.
I don't think Duran's taking a time out here. Mark
him to the thirty nine. A ten yard game in
a first down.

Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
And Regis was in prevent on that they had four
defensive bags deep hot just five seconds left, block will roll.

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
No one wants to run a play, it looks like
and indeed we will get to the zero mark the
clock at the end of the first half. It's Regis
twenty eight. It's Duran zero will take a couple of
minute time out. We'll come back. We'll give you our
thoughts on the first half and talk about some games
coming up tomorrow as well. That's all coming up in

the halftime. Buck, Do you don't have any idea what's
going on with that?

Speaker 13 (01:23:27):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
One didn't they say something about how halftime might be
delayed or short shores of maybe, so maybe we're gonna
have a really short halftime here.

Speaker 1 (01:23:35):
Twenty eight nothing Ramblers with the lead on Durant p
Canoo's the Noise short stands On's with you here tonight?
Dan Price is our producer back in suit. I don't
think I've mentioned Dan's name yet. So now I'm a
terrible person because that might be the longest I've ever
gotten not mentioning the Dan Price star.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
And he's the best in the business here. You can't
just you can't just slight this man on his credit
like that.

Speaker 1 (01:23:54):
Hey, come on, I owe Dan something after this, right,
probably like a caneac or something like that. Yeah, I'm
probably well, I'll run you at Kanye. I call the
way to the Nominee there. Dan hits your house from Oaklaire.
I'm not sure how good it'll be by the time
I get it there. But nonetheless, we are at halftime
and it's twenty eight nothing Ramblers with the lead here
on Duran. All right, it all started off with the

(01:24:15):
Carter Cisco seventy five yard touchdown return that started this
game just fourteen seconds in two point a good eight
to nothing. Regius and Nick Helen would run it in
from forty yards out with three forty two left to
play in the first quarter, make it fifteen to nothing.
And then the rains never came. But we've delayed for
thirty minutes and some lightning in the area, just trying
to kind of keep everything safe for the players and

(01:24:38):
whatnot as well. And when we came back after a
thirty minute delay of the eight to fifty eight left
to go in the second quarter, Brody Tarbox ran it
in from eleven yards out. Maybe it twenty two to nothing,
Regis and with just three fifty left to play a
part me right near the end of the quarter. Rather
the Ramblers ran it in for Nick Helland who gets
it in right with what about thirty seconds left in

(01:24:59):
the first half, two yard touchdown run for him to
the extra point. Rather, no good twenty eight nothing Regius
here at halftime and you talked about it. Noah, right,
the field feels tilted, it feels just another Regis game,
and you just didn't think that was gonna happen against Iran,
who has been dominant in their first four games. That
the dominance shown here by Regis shows a different level

(01:25:21):
and it's impressible.

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
Yeah, it really is. I want to go back to
the last fifteen seconds of that second quarter. I really
don't want to be too hard here on Durand, but
they came out with fifteen seconds. You know you're not
going to score twenty eight points in that time, but
you got to at least try and you know, do
something show that you still have some fight on your team.
It's not even halftime yet they ran the ball up

(01:25:44):
the middle and they ran the clock out. Yeah, you
did not like that. You know, I understand, you know,
conservative play calling. I do it all the time and Madden.
You know, I'm not gonna act like a hypocrite up here,
but especially as a team that's right numbers in their
division here in the entire state, a team that is
coming to this game four and oh and who's played

(01:26:07):
dominant in all four of those games. In terms of
durand Arkansas. You can't go down without a fight like
that before halftime. It's just it's not the right way
to lead this team.

Speaker 1 (01:26:16):
Yeah, I kind of feel the same way. We have
a minute left on the halftime clock, mister Price, and
I'm not sure if we're gonna be allowed to warm
up time or if we're just rolling into the second half.
So why don't we take a minute time out here? Dan,
We'll take a minute comeback, and I think we're gonna
have the second half where you we kind of roll
them through the halftime because of that big delay. It's
halftime here, it's twenty eight nothing, ramblers late it. We'll
be back in a minute right after this here on

(01:26:38):

a couple of things. And sure enough regis with a

(01:28:13):
twenty eight nothing lead here at halftime. They put up
about another two minutes left here on the clock for
warm ups. Durrand is going to loosen up a little bit,
but not much. I think they basically said, hey, as
much as we can cut off the halftime clock, we will.
Because of that thirty minute delay we had due to lightning.
The officials they said, hey, I think they probably left up.

(01:28:34):
The officials said, how, what's the least amount of time
we can put on the clock for halftime, and they
would agree to. And that's where we're at. So we're
only about two minutes away from the start of the
second half, which we will certainly take here at Carson Park. Again,
we've been mentioning the clover Belt Conference matchups tomorrow and
what those all look like.

and clear Lake is hosting the number four ranked team
in Division.

Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
Six or Division seven, Boysville.

Speaker 1 (01:29:13):
I think it's Division seven.

Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
Yeah seven sounds at seven as well as I don't
have my rankings in front of you.

Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
But nonetheless, Yeah, some good games coming up there. You're excited,
I know for that Spring Valley game, and yeah, that's
conference is gonna be interesting, right. You know that Boyceville
is really good. It's a matter of who's that that second,
that third team that's gonna have a shot to make
the playoffs but also maybe make some noise when they
get there as well.

Speaker 3 (01:29:34):
Yeah, boyce feel's very good. I want to talk about
Mondovi too. Mondovi's been on fire so far this season.
But we were in Boyceville last week, and let me
tell you know, we've got a minute here before these
two teams are gonna resume playing Boyceville. Last week in
the Rain, I think I had the best cheeseburger that
I'd ever had at a sporting really. Yeah, it was unbelievable.

(01:29:56):
It was it was cooked to perfection, the right amount
of cheese, ooms right, kind of American cheese on there,
very flavorful and three bucks too, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:30:05):
What well, I mean that's about a Boysville man. Let's
go hang out with Walker Retz and his family and
you're all setting ready to go.

Speaker 3 (01:30:12):
Yeah, of course the north Woods League All Star and yeah,
I was thinking about him during that game. Of course.

Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
Did you see him there?

Speaker 3 (01:30:18):
Nah?

Speaker 11 (01:30:18):
I was looking for him, him with the turtleneck and
the long sleeps, you know, in ninety degree weather on
field turf, that's being beat down by his son right
as well?

Speaker 3 (01:30:30):
He still strikes out how many in that?

Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
He was?

Speaker 3 (01:30:32):
Great?

Speaker 12 (01:30:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
Great for the Express this season. Cool to see, you know,
dun Saint Croix, Clover Belt. You know, small town kids
from around get a chance on that level. And boy,
what a season for him for Walker Retz from the
Boyceville Bulldogs. Of course, he pitched what a one hitter
I think in the seven inningcomplete game. One hitter in
the state championship game the Boysville one number of years
ago when he was a senior, and pretty cool there.

(01:30:54):
And that Boysville football team is awfully good as well.
All right, we're ready to go. A very short halftime
and back and ready. It will be Duran to receive
the third quarter kickoff, and they will be moving left
to right as you watch and listen at home, the
Ramblers move right to left here in quarter number three,
and we are hoping to get done before the weather,
before the rain, before the lightning.

Speaker 3 (01:31:15):
Comes back here to Carson Park.

Speaker 1 (01:31:18):
So Regis up twenty eight to nothing here to start
the second half. Here comes a Schroder kick to the
near sideline that will be scooped up at the ten
yard line, moving from the near side to the far side,
now to the middle of the hashmarks and nothing doing
there for the returner in Kraluski, and he will get
near the fifteen. We'll see where they mark him in

(01:31:40):
the end, and it will be a long field in
front of Duran here to start the second half.

Speaker 3 (01:31:47):
That's I'm sure he didn't get to the twenty. I'm
they're gonna mark him right at the stripe of the
fifteen yard line, eighty five yards to try and make
this what would what would be a three score a game.
That's a tall order.

Speaker 1 (01:32:02):
Yeah, just with how difficult it's been to move the
ball against this Regis defense, it is a as you said,
a tall order and just a it's a long, tilted
field in front of you.

Speaker 3 (01:32:11):
It feels like it is a.

Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
Four receiver set, though two receivers left, two to the
rights of handoff quickly to Sebelco. Sobelco almost lost the
ball as he spun down, maybe a half a yard
short of the line of scrimmage. A nice job by
Galing to get in there, and by he looked like
he had trouble with the handoff and almost had a
hard time securing that before he was spun down.

Speaker 3 (01:32:29):
And it looked like he was a little bit nervous
about losing it. Got that other arm in there to
try and keep that ball tight against the chest, and
they rate, they retain possession.

Speaker 1 (01:32:38):
Second and ten. They get him right back to the
fifteen yard line. Sebelco is the tailback. Two receivers, probably
one receiver out left, two to the right, ball in
the middle of the hashmarks, and once again riding will
await the snap, will hand off to the left side.
Sobelco's got it, but doesn't have much maybe a half
a yard to a yard and it will be second

(01:32:58):
and probably third nine rather coming up here for Duran.
Eleven minutes left to play third quarter and kind of
surprised that when you're down by twenty eight with a
pretty good quarterback in Briding, that you've run two kind
of handoffs right up the gut. To be honest with you,

(01:33:19):
I think at some point they got to throw the
ball here and let the receivers do their thing. Glows
has split out Wine to the right. Receiver to the
left is Mac back to pass Briding. Brding looking to
the right side. It is up and caught across the
twenty five. That was a nice play and the tackle
made out on the edge there. For Regis's Breckon Forster

(01:33:39):
the course, are just a freshman and you look out there,
there might be a couple guys. We're not to the
second stringers yet for Regis, you wouldn't be at this point.
It is a first down to the twenty nine, but
not about a thirteen yard game. But you're seeing a
few new names out there for the Ramblers at the moment.

Speaker 3 (01:33:54):
Meanwhile, for Duran, that was a good opportunity for them
to get Briding another look throwing the football, great spiral,
great pass and great anticipation. They do that more. You
know that they could get this this a little bit
closer on the scoreboard Broughting.

Speaker 1 (01:34:07):
Two receivers left one of the right on the near
hash quick throw out to the right side. Matt catches
across a thirty and his push out of bounds here
the thirty one maybe the thirty two as once again
the Ramblers secondary had to push him out of bounds
again Forrester was the man closest to him along with
ride out to get three yards up to the thirty
two yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:34:24):
And again for Durand I like that first down play,
not trying to do too much, just a little what
four yard out route to number four Ethan mac and
a nice pitch and catch and keeps you ahead of
the sticks.

Speaker 1 (01:34:35):
Ten oh one left to play. Third quarter. Two receivers
left one of the right in near hash mark shotgun
formation for Briding. Brinding takes a snamphandoff to Sebelco around
the right edge. Got some good blocking here to the
thirty five, then is pushed backwards. Did John there by
ride out along with others to help out on the
tackle for Regis Tornel was there as well. It will
be a couple of yard gain up to the thirty five.
Makes a third and manager both third and four here

(01:34:56):
for Durant Coy also in on the stop is well
the thirty ninety left to go third quarter. The Ramblers
up big here on Duran twenty eight to nothing. The
only real in the area local high school game going
on tonight is this one here at Carson Park. The

(01:35:16):
rest are happening in other corners of the state. Two
receivers out to the left here for briding in the
shotgun again. He looks to run left. Now he's going
to pass it. It is bobbled and caught to the forty.
He kind of looked like he was running left, and
then it was his man up front there in Gilbertson,
who was kind of lined up as a tight end,
and just a little pop pass to him.

Speaker 3 (01:35:36):
It was enough for a first out of the forty.
Not quite a draw, not quite play action. I don't
know if they've got a word for that. I've been
watching football twenty some years, but.

Speaker 1 (01:35:45):
See does Dan zonz have a word for what that passed?
An interesting play there on third down?

Speaker 9 (01:35:50):
Yeah, it was almost a run play there, and it
looked like it was a designed run.

Speaker 1 (01:35:53):
But the very last second there a good move.

Speaker 9 (01:35:56):
Well, most coaches won't say that was a good move,
but I think that was a great move there to
pull that ball back and instead hit his man in
traffic because.

Speaker 1 (01:36:04):
That run was not going anywhere. Riding in the shotgun,
two receivers and left hand off goes to Sebelko right side.
Got a hole across the forty shoe string tackle across
the forty five up to the forty six yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
McCoy was a man hanging on for dear life. A
good game though, all.

Speaker 1 (01:36:17):
The way to the forty six for six yards. Second
and four. Sebelko is starting to find his stride again.
No Ian Haven's in the game tonight. We didn't get
a report before the game on injury status or what
the case was, but he's been there leading rusher this season,
not playing tonight, and it's been the Sebelko show. A
tailback for the most part. Max gotten some handoffs as well.

(01:36:41):
Second and four from the forty six. Man in motion
here across right to left gets it on the end
around there does Krluski, and he will make it to
the left edge and then he's tackled as he tried
to cut it forward after a couple of yards the
forty eight. It'll be third and two here for Durant, and.

Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
They could really go anywhere with this pickure go a
short fast running up the middle two yards is really
not outside the realm of possibility here. Also, you think
about this toward midfield could be four down territory. They
could take a shot here on third and short.

Speaker 1 (01:37:12):
Seven thirty eight and the clock taking left to play
here in the third quarter, it's Regis twenty eight, it's
Duran zero and the Panthers coming back out with brining
in the shotgun. He's got had two tailbacks kind of
flanking him. Now it's just Sebelco to his left. Two
receivers right, one left. Mac goes in motion right to left,
the fake to Sebelco throw out to the left side,
catch made with a knee on the ground there for Kuluski,

(01:37:34):
and then he got hit. Wally was on the ground
on the edge. I think he wanted kind of a
late hit type of penalty. The whistle came late and
it will be a first out up to the forty
seven or Regis on the five yard pass, so up
to the forty seven. This is one of the better
kind of methodical type of drives here that Duran has
put together. This game. The problem has been that when

(01:37:56):
they've done that, they've ran into problems where they throw
an interception or whatever the case might be. Against Regis
two receivers left, one right, far hash mark left to right,
they go. Briding fakes a handoff, throws it over the middle,
catch made at the forty up near the thirty five
going down on the play goes Gilbertson, and that is
enough for twelve yards in a first down.

Speaker 3 (01:38:17):
Really, you touched on it before that play. But this
is just their second drive where they've really had the
offense going, and the first one ended with an interception.
So we'll have to see if Briden can take care
of the ball and if Daran can get that goose
egg off of the scoreboard here with six and a
half minutes to play in the.

Speaker 1 (01:38:33):
Player, I think Briding is getting some confidence down there.
We'll go down to Dawn here after this play and
see just what you're seeing down there, because he looks
very confident in the pocket right now, throwing the ball
two tailbacks rather flanking. He'll give it to Cebelco left side.
He's dragged down from behind about a one yard game
to the left side of the thirty four yard line
to bring up second and nine. Dan, does it seem

(01:38:53):
the same thing because Briding looks way more confident, way
more calm on this drive than he has really all games.
Oh yeah, definitely.

Speaker 9 (01:39:00):
And I don't know if it's because he's gotten some
short passes for some completions. But when you quarterback Mac Briding,
who's been absolutely excellent throughout the first few games of
the season, if you give him enough time, if you
give him rhythm, especially with Jackson Weiss as that dangerous
target out wide man, this could be a hard game
to come back for.

Speaker 1 (01:39:19):
One receiver left one right here for Duran, Rinning takes
his snaphand off to Sibelco around the right edge of
the thirty five. Tripped up across the thirty five. You're
the thirty three, maybe the thirty two, as he has
stopped by the ramblers quickly there. Jacrubenzer is the man
on the tackle gain of one. Third and eight here
for the Duran Panthers at the regis thirty three five

(01:39:41):
twenty eight left to go third quarter, it's Regis twenty
eight Duran zero. Now it's now or never. It feels
like for Duran they want any shot to get back
in this game. They've got to get a score here,
They've got to get a touchdown down by four scores.
At the moment, two receivers split out wide right. Mac
is offset left, all in the middle of the hea
marks for righting the shotgun takes a snap. Regis bringing pressure.

(01:40:03):
Oh Mac with a one handed grab out on the
edge and then it's flung backwards. He's going to be
short of the line to gain to the thirty yard line.
A good stop out of the edge by that newcomer there,
and Forrester, what a catch show by Mac with the
one hand grab.

Speaker 3 (01:40:15):
Yeah, it looked like he just grabbed it, almost like
he was wearing a baseball mida over there along the
fire sideline to haul that one in. Regis brought pressure
on that play in Briding and oh you read it.
He knew he had to get the ball out quick
and he did and uh makes it fourth and manageable
here fourth.

Speaker 1 (01:40:32):
And five from the regis thirty. They need the twenty
five for a first dound.

Speaker 3 (01:40:35):
Briding is in the shotgun again with two receivers right
and one out to the left on the.

Speaker 1 (01:40:39):
Far hash mark moving left or right. Here is regis.
They do that little playoff front trying to get you
to jump off side. He rolls to his right side
throw out incomplete pressure came from the rolling side that
briding wanted to go to. Good job getting back into
the backfield there by tar box. His intended receiver out
on the right edge was Gilbertson and just could not
have the accuracy with the pressure was coming his way.

Speaker 3 (01:41:00):
Yeah, really no chance there. He just had to get
rid of that one the best he could. And it
didn't look like the receiver he even had his head around.
Just nothing you can do on that play.

Speaker 1 (01:41:09):
So it is a turnover on downs and now Redis
will take over at their own thirty yard line and
they will do it with four fifty nine left to
play here in the third quarter. Remember if they score
on this drive, get the extra point all of a sudden,
now the running clock becomes an issue forward to ram
as well. That is why that drive felt like it
was big for them to have any chance to get

(01:41:32):
back into this game. It is the split formation, the
aces formation, one receiver right, one to the left back
to pass a deep drive right side, and that is
way overthrown by almost ten yards on the right side.
Bromer showing off the armstrength trying to go on that
right side. Let's see that intended receiver was down that side.
Was it right out? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:41:49):
It was, and it's in complete second and ten. Nothing
wrong with letting the ball fly in that situation.

Speaker 1 (01:41:55):
Though, I think Brommer's showing off the arm iget. We've
seen DJ Cooper throw really well as the back a
quarterback in these kind of spread out formations. But Romer
staying in there and showed off a really strong arm
not as accurate as he'd liked to be. One receiver
to the left, one to the right. Here again that
asis formation handoff will go to Tarbocks running right side,
got blockers trying to bounce off and he can't, and

(01:42:16):
he'll get a yard maybe two up near the thirty
one thirty two yard line. It'll be third and eight
here for Regis. Nice job containing it out on the
edge for Duran as they did not let Tarbucks get away.
Facial demand on the tackle, and it's third and eight
here for Regis at their own thirty two yard line,
up twenty eight to nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
So Jacob Peshel.

Speaker 1 (01:42:40):
Receiver going out to left that Cisco the receiver out
to the right is right out and it is Tarbucks
as the tailboc offset left shot gun here formation snap taken.
Romer back to pass, there comes a pressure rolls to
his right looking downfield.

Speaker 3 (01:42:53):
Does he have a pass? Who he's gonna launch this
one deep for Cisco?

Speaker 1 (01:42:55):
A jump ball cut at the thirty yard line. What
a catch, Let's go with the adjustment and unable to
make the stop back there was Krlewski. He could not
get to the ball. He goes down to the twenty
nine yard line. What a play. There is a flag
back in the line of scrimmage. Is this one coming back?

Speaker 3 (01:43:12):
Regis is coming back? Looks like Duran staying back.

Speaker 1 (01:43:14):
Oh no, ineligible downfield? Wow, that is a killer.

Speaker 3 (01:43:20):
It's a tough one to deal with on What a
perfect play from that well outside the penalty, of course,
a perfect play from that Regis offense, as they had
the quarterback Brommer keeping his eyes downfield, even when I
think a lot of people in the ballpark are in
the stadium. Excuse me, he expected him to run. He

(01:43:41):
kept his eyes downfield, found his receiver and then Cisco
with the adjustment.

Speaker 1 (01:43:45):
Bungslick and clearly Noah one of his linemen expected him
to run as well, because he started off to try
to block for him, and that was where the penalty
came from. Unfortunate there for the Ramblers. Three receivers left,
one to the right, third and thirteen now is rolling
to his right as Brommer now he's looked like he
was gonna run. Then he throws it and said, caught
your side and going out of bounds this griff and
Boda Boda has got it at the forty seven yard line.

(01:44:07):
That is a twenty yard game and a first down,
and the Ramblers are opening up the passing game pretty well.

Speaker 3 (01:44:13):
I wonder if Brohmer went to the coaching staff and said, hey,
you know, let me use my arm a little bit,
let me pass the ball down the field a little bit. Here.
It's really the first time on this drive that we've
seen Regis do this. And being able to open up
the offense like this and use space like this, I'm
sure for a quarterback is a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:44:31):
Yeah, those last two plays pretty impressive. Ramer in the
shocket again, this time one receiver right, one left, bad snap,
goes down and gets it. Bromber back to pass throws
at air mails. It might have been tipped at the line,
just never really had a good handle on that ball
when it was a bad snap. Second and ten coming up.
We mentioned the confidence Dan down on the field there
on the other side for briding, But bramer Man, he's

(01:44:53):
gotten some confidence the number of throws he's had here
as of late.

Speaker 9 (01:44:57):
Yes he has, and it really feels like he's setting pocket.

Speaker 1 (01:45:00):
Last game.

Speaker 9 (01:45:00):
I don't know if you guys remember, but there was
only one completion total passing for Bromer, and it looks
like he's really trying to feel it out, especially before
it gets into the thick of the season.

Speaker 1 (01:45:09):
Here, one receiver to the right, one to the left
again from Rammers second and ten from their own forty
seven yard line. It's a handoff around the left edge
for Tarbox. He's got blockers of the fifty following him.
He actually runs one of them over across the forty five.
Looks like he's got close to the first down. He
ran over one of his linemen who kind of got
his way, Jakrew Benzer. They're gonna give him first down
yard age a ten yard game around the edge of

(01:45:31):
the forty three.

Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
That's what you'd call an angry roough.

Speaker 1 (01:45:34):
Indeed it was. Man, I tell you that, that's impressive. Man,
You get a block round in front of you. Said,
I don't need you get out of my way, and
off he went for ten yards. It's hard to be
patient that as patient as he needed to be, especially
when you see the hole right, you might as well
just go for it. And that's what he did. One
receiver right, one left here on the near hashmark again
for Bromer. Rummer in the shotgun, sends a man there

(01:45:56):
and now back to pass. Looks deep over the top.
It is up and in complete, right out, trying to
adjust mid air, kind of thrown behind him. Good coverage
downfield as well from Land and Glaus, and it's incomplete.
Second and ten from the forty three.

Speaker 3 (01:46:10):
Yeah, one looks like it was toward the back shoulder
of the receiver and he tried to make a mid
air adjustment. Just no chance at that ball. It's still
three more downs to get ten more yards.

Speaker 1 (01:46:21):
Say, give de rand credit, right, I mean, there's a
lot of high school teams that you know they over commit, right.
They put seven, eight, maybe even nine guys in the box.
Their secondary stayed back there really nicely. They knew that
that pass could be coming, and they were all back
ready to go for that as well as here comes
one receiver right, one left aces foot again here for
regis running left, tar box a big hole forty yard line,
dragon a tackler up to the thirty five and down

(01:46:43):
to the thirty four yard line. And when you need
the run, you give it to him. And what he
ended up getting that was Whiteside rather not tarbox. He
gets up to the thirty four for nine yards.

Speaker 3 (01:46:52):
You look at white side, tar Bucks, a couple others
hell and of course right out they've really no matter
who they are they hand the ball to, they expect
four or five yards on the ground A lot of
times a lot more than that. That's what they got
there on the game of nine twenty eight to nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:47:09):
Regis two point fifty to go. Third quarter, one receiver
to the left, one of the right for Brahmer in
the shotgun Tarbox is the man who is left. He's
gonna fake it to him, gonna keep it himself. A
little bootleg around the left edge, stiff Arm's a tackler
up near the thirty and take him down right at
the thirty yard line. He needed one. He got about
five up to the twenty nine.

Speaker 3 (01:47:27):
It's a first down.

Speaker 1 (01:47:28):
There is a rambler down near the twenty nine yard
line as well. They're gonna check on also. But a
nice run there from Brahmer. Good run there. We'll see
who the rambler is. Two thirty nine left to play
in the third quarter. He's getting up pretty quickly. It
is still relatively warm down there for us, you know,
having the weather kind of coming and going through it.

(01:47:49):
It does look just the way they're stretching him out
like cramps are the issue here. There is a yeah,
right with the water bottle getting the hydration going here
as well. So, I mean it is still seventy four degrees,
but no, it is pretty humid down there, and i'd
imagine that you get to this point in the game
and cramps are gonna be a bit of an issue.

Speaker 3 (01:48:04):
Yeah, humid down there, human up here. Also, you know,
it's been unseasonably warm. We had that cold snap out
a week ago, two weeks ago. That's my favorite kind
of weather. And to have that and then have it
jump up another ten to fifteen degrees here, I'm sure
on these athletes' bodies. It's not easy.

Speaker 1 (01:48:21):
Yeah. Last Saturday in Menominee, that stout werperg game, we
had five plays in a row where a different player
went down with cramps. I mean it was the same
you know, the mid eighties, and it was just it
almost felt like it was too warm to play football,
you know. Just these guys, especially up here in Wisconsin,
just not used to that, right, just not used to
to playing in that kind of heat, especially when you get,

(01:48:42):
as you said, kind of into the middle of September
as well. And so they're gonna work him out and
work that cramp out as well. Two thirty nine left
to play in the third quarter, twenty eight to nothing
and up to his feet is.

Speaker 3 (01:48:53):
The aforementioned man then bolts.

Speaker 1 (01:48:55):
Therefore Regis he will walk off under his own power
as they work the cramp out there. And now you
get a cramp like that. But I feel like once
you get up to near forty as well, I know
you're not there yet, no, but you get cramps like that,
especially in your hamstring you're in that quad area, that's
when you just you start questioning your life choices.

Speaker 3 (01:49:13):
Yeah, pain is ridanculous, I trust me. My father's talked
to me a lot about the horrors of aging. I
do not envy you. So you haven't had the cramps
like that, is what you're saying. I've had like the
CAF tightness. If it comes from feign Achilles walking up
the hill at Ew Claire.

Speaker 1 (01:49:28):
Maybe there's this low snap Bromer back to pass looking
out to the right side. It is up and caught.

Speaker 3 (01:49:32):
Want to catch by Cisco on the right edge across
the twenty and push out of mounds here the fifteen
just a little fade. Routy dropped it in the bucket
of Cisco on the far side the mark amount of
mounds at the thirteen yard line. That's a sixteen yard
game in a first down for Regions. I love what
the Ramblers are doing on offense here. They're keeping the
ball in the air more often than not, a lot

(01:49:52):
of nice passing concepts, finding ways to get their receivers
open in space. The Brahmer is doing a great job
delivering the mail.

Speaker 1 (01:50:00):
Receivers now splinting out left. No receiver is right.

Speaker 3 (01:50:02):
The tight end line up on the line is Boda
and it will be Brammer again in the shotgun. He's
got tarbox who is right.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
He hands it to him, gives it to him on
the read option, running around left side, looking for a
hold of the ten to the five. He breaks out
and he's in for the touchdown, and Brody Tarbox has
his second rushing touchdown to the game, a thirteen yard
scamper just waiting patiently for the holes to develop. They did.
He's in for the score. It's thirty four to nothing.
Regis two thirteen to go in the third.

Speaker 3 (01:50:26):
Yeah, great job there. He had a full head of steam.
He had blockers and it felt like, you know, even
if Duran was able to get a hand on him,
I don't think they would have been able to slow
him down. He had the momentum.

Speaker 1 (01:50:38):
So tarbacks with the thirteen yard touchdown run and Regis
imposing their will at the moment. Schroder a big kick here,
try to get this to the running clock. Thirty five
nothing good snap, spot's good. The kick us up from Schroder.
I think it's not through the far side. There is
a lake flag coming in from the referee, folding on Regius.

(01:51:03):
Why in the world would you call holding in that
situation when you're about to have a running clock. If
you're an official on a night where the storm is
coming in. I have absolutely no idea how you call
that holding.

Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
Wow, those pesky ethics and morals right, Oh my gosh,
we could have lost the ethics and morals for about
ten seconds there.

Speaker 1 (01:51:21):
That haven't have been all you needed. But they're gonna
mark it back. And now Schroeder is going to be
asked to put a big boot into this one.

Speaker 3 (01:51:28):
Make the extra point.

Speaker 1 (01:51:28):
Now about a thirty yard attempt in that range that's
still gimme at this level exactly, All right, running clock,
here we go. Let's see thirty four to nothing and
Schroeder years at the twenty years of snap.

Speaker 3 (01:51:45):
Oh, that's got to be off side. Kick us up
from Schroeder.

Speaker 1 (01:51:48):
That's definitely long enough. That have been good. From fifty
thirty five nothing, Ramblers with.

Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
The lead, two thirteen to go, third, Gorl come back
here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (01:51:59):
This is today and night life on Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:52:40):
Welcome back here to Carson Park. It is a thirty
five nothing lead for Regis over Duran. A thirty yard
extra pointer puts it to a thirty five nothing game.
We'll running clock coming up now. The clock will only
stop at the quarter break, on scores and on timeouts
at this point in the game here between these two squads,
so that is unless rand gets this un' the thirty

(01:53:00):
five point mark. So that has helped long tonight where
the weather is a potential possibility. Of course, we had
a thirty minute delay earlier, and hopefully we can avoid
any sorts of delays the rest of the night as well.
Thirty five to nothing reach us with the lead on
Durand and here comes a kick from Schroeder. Duran looking

(01:53:21):
for something to go their way. Schroeder's kick to the
nearest side, right into the area of Kruluski to make
it to the right side up near the sideline across
the twenty and he's ushered out of bounds near the
twenty five yard line, and that is where Duran will
take over. And the clock ticks down under two minutes
left to play here in the third.

Speaker 3 (01:53:40):
Quarter return, Well, I think it's safe to say is
Duran leads their offense out there. This isn't really the
way we expected this ballgame to go. You know, two
four and oh teams, both ranked, both really tough opponents.
I really expected Duran to put up more of a fight. Yeah,
you know, in runtime in the third quarter. I don't

(01:54:00):
know if any of the three radio crews here expected that.

Speaker 1 (01:54:03):
Well, you know again, Regis is in Division six. We
know that the only team that's ranked ahead of them
in the bound rankings that we have the state rankings
online is Edgar. Right, Edgar is a great team and
powerhouse team in the middle of the state. But I'd
imagine even Edgar Darlington those other teams that are in there,
is here's a run up the middle, in a big
run for Sebelski up to cross the thirty and it'll

(01:54:24):
get it near the first down. Mark he's gonna be.
They're gonna mark them all the way to the thirty five.
We got one official thirty three, one at the thirty five.
Now they're gonna mark them back to the thirty four
and they're gonna call.

Speaker 3 (01:54:34):
It a first down.

Speaker 1 (01:54:35):
I think.

Speaker 3 (01:54:37):
It looks like they're marking them. Just sure.

Speaker 1 (01:54:40):
One official was saying move the chains. The official next
was kind of looking at things. Are gonna give him
nine and a half second in inches here for duran
So briding in the shotgun, hands it off on the
left side. That's the first down, much much more across
the forty five and near the fifty yard line goes Sebelco.

Speaker 3 (01:54:59):
Again.

Speaker 1 (01:55:00):
That's a big time gain of sixteen maybe, yeah, sixteen
exactly to the fifty yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:55:06):
Thirty five nothing. Ramblers are am moving. Probably needed a
few inches and you got about a dozen yards on
that woman. It's a big first down here for Durant. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:55:16):
You look at the other teams though that are in
Division six. Darlington of Mondovia of course, the fourth ranked team.
These two teams, regis Mondovi gonna match up in a
little bit. Saint Mary Springs, who's always a bit of
a powerhouse school in D six as well. They have
all gotta imagine look at this and say, man, they
just did this to a team that's ranked in the state,
in the top ten in Division five. As there's riding

(01:55:37):
and running left, he gets hit, thought about sliding and
instead took a big time massive hit there from Torno
and he is hurt on the play as well. As
they get up to the forty two yard line and
they take do not take a time out. Rather, we
have run down to the end of the third quarter
on that running clock, so it'll be second and two
from the regis forty two to for Ramblers up thirty
five nothing. We come back with the fourth quarter after

(01:55:58):
this on your home for high schoo football.

Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh

It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:56:43):
Welcome back here to Carson Park. Start of the fourth quarter.
Durand now moves right to left as you listen and
watch it home here for the fourth and it's Regis
thirty five Duran zero here against Regis. And I'm looking
out there on the field, Noah and I would call this.
I think I'd call this the second team for Regis.
I don't think a lot of the starters are out
there at the moment. And look, depending on what happens

(01:57:05):
here and reset the clock. Yet it's at twelve. We're
ready to go. But depending on what happens here, if
Regis has to bring out the first seamers or not,
there's a decent chance that we're gonna get through five
games this season, and the first string defense for Regis
will not have given up any points yet this season.
As the handoff goes up the middle to Mac, he's
got enough for the first down not about a seven
yard game to the thirty five and that is pretty impressive. Yeah,

(01:57:27):
that's pretty incredible.

Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
Last week, Dan and I were in Boyceville and Boyceville's
defense had a similar streak going like that through what
was then three games, and what did they do? They
allowed a touchdown on the opening possession. So the more
you talk about these streaks, maybe the more tenuous they
might become. Regious defense they don't care about Jackson.

Speaker 1 (01:57:47):
No, they don't, and they have been impressive. I think
the way they shut down a really good offense. That
was again the matchup we talked about was how Regius
defense would do against this offense and the answer is
really good, And even the second stringer are doing really good.
Is Sibelco gets the handoff and he is hit immediately
in the backfield by Matt Pallisek on that tackle, it's
a loss of three back to the thirty eight yard

(01:58:10):
line and it's second and thirteen coming up for Durant.

Speaker 3 (01:58:12):
Yeah, second team who put that one in the tackle
for lost category?

Speaker 1 (01:58:16):
Absolutely impressive And even like you said, those second team
that they've practice at whatever you want to call it, team, guys,
they are stepping up as well, there's still a lot
of speed, a lot of size out there for the
Ramblers as they move forward, and it is against second
and thirteen from the thirty eight, moving right to left,
Brining hands it off to Mack right side. He's got
a hole this time and he's got a chance to

(01:58:37):
break it down. Take him down across the thirty he's
up near the first down marker. I think they might
give it to him.

Speaker 3 (01:58:43):
The officials.

Speaker 1 (01:58:45):
I think both line judges are a little hurt tonight
because they're moving slow. They're gonna mark him just short
of the line to gain just outside the twenty six
yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
It looks like about third in the length of a
football trying to go down to Dan's here in just
a moment, six third and inches, third and a short
one here for Duran.

Speaker 1 (01:59:07):
Two receivers left, one to the right, Brining in the shotgun,
Sobelco the tailback. They're gonna give it to Mac on
a pitch out to the left side, trying to find space,
gets the edge to the twenty five. The old boy
he got taken down.

Speaker 3 (01:59:17):
That was close.

Speaker 1 (01:59:18):
That was a really nice job once again stepping up
his palacec to make the play. I think he's got it.
But that was much closer than it looked like it
was going to be when he got that pitch. We
only gets a yard of the twenty five. It's the
first down for Durant.

Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
Yeah, that was all he needed with that one yard margin.
And it's I think especially based on the effort. You know,
Ty goes to the runner, I think they give it
to him.

Speaker 1 (01:59:40):
Yeah, they did. Dan. Down there on the field, man,
even the second stringers for Regis are looking pretty fast,
pretty impressive. Not sure what it looks like for you
down there. Oh yeah, I mean they're moving a lot
faster down here. Up close and personal.

Speaker 9 (01:59:52):
They've been really flying around the football and no matter
where it is as this one is going.

Speaker 3 (01:59:56):
To go for a sack. Yeah, regious brining with the
pump to the and you're right if three guys converge
on him down there, as Tarbox was the man who
was the closest one to them at the bottom in
Braxton tar Box.

Speaker 1 (02:00:09):
But there is that speed again. It's impressive down there,
Dan to watch, at least from our perspective. And man,
this is I mean, this is the first teamers who
are down there, which is absolutely wild and absolutely.

Speaker 9 (02:00:18):
And that's the thing too, to be able to have
players that you can sub in like this in and
out of the game, especially when you have such a
successful team. I mean, thirty five nothing against the Duran team.
I mean, I don't think any of.

Speaker 1 (02:00:28):
Us expected that.

Speaker 9 (02:00:29):
I think we all expected maybe they break the scoring
drought that has a scoring drought on this defense.

Speaker 1 (02:00:34):
But man, that has not been the case at all tonight.

Speaker 9 (02:00:36):
And even the second teamers, third teamers are all looking
like they could easily pitch a shout out too.

Speaker 3 (02:00:42):
It is briding in the shotgun.

Speaker 1 (02:00:44):
Two receivers right one to left, second and long second
and seventeen after that, sax so Belko gets the handoff
on a drawn gets pretty good yardage back to the
original line to the twenty five, right through the defense
there tackled on the play by Regis' logan Hoff and
ten up to the twenty five. Now here for Duran

(02:01:04):
get the.

Speaker 3 (02:01:04):
Sack, yardage back third and ten to fifteen for a
first out.

Speaker 1 (02:01:09):
Again. Tomorrow night Spring Valley cadot right back here on
Moose Country. No one will be venturing west into the valley.
You can go to the cave over. You should go
to the cave before there's the cave. There's a cave.
You can go to a cave. Yeah, there's a cave.

Speaker 3 (02:01:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:01:25):
Right out on the right side, catch made to the
twenty and tripped up short of the line to gain.
Is the receiver out on the edge there in Miles
Kerluski and he's gonna be about two three yards short? Yeah,
I forget what that crystal game is? That what it is? Christal?

Speaker 3 (02:01:38):
I think I've heard of that the longest cave in Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (02:01:41):
Yeah, soe as you go, maybe something to do taking
some geology, you know. Yeah, there's a joke there and
it's not coming to me, So you could be slag
right when you show up to I don't know that's that.
That wasn't a good enough dad, pun. I don't think
three yards to go.

Speaker 3 (02:02:00):
We'll figure it out.

Speaker 1 (02:02:01):
We'll get cook it three yards to go here for
durand as they need the fifteen for a first down
ball at the eighteen, fourth and three, and Briding looks to.

Speaker 3 (02:02:08):
Pass it over the top.

Speaker 1 (02:02:10):
Cot well done across the ten and near the five
yard line, goes the receiver again that little pop pass
to the tight end and he goes to Billy Weisenbeck
his backup tight end there to the six yard line.
That's a first down on a game of twelve catches.
The Regis defense just a little bit off guard.

Speaker 3 (02:02:29):
Man now just six yards from that goal line here
for Duran, I'm sure they can smell it.

Speaker 1 (02:02:35):
First and goal here from the sixth briding in the shotgun.
Six thirty nine to play Regis thirty five. It is
durand zero hit at the line and nothing else versus
a Belco immediately hit him. Drop back there by logan
Hoff again gets into the backfield, might have lost to
half a yard and it will be second in goal

(02:02:56):
with six twenty two left. Again, Panthers can stop that
running clock with a touchdown here, so it is an
important drive to do that, but again they're running up
against it at this point. Six yard line, second and
goal here for Duran. Two receivers left, briding in the shotgun,
so he'll go to his left. Sends a man in
motion that's Mac right to left across the formation. He

(02:03:17):
rolls to his left looking for Mack. He's not there.

Speaker 3 (02:03:19):
Side arm throw across the middle into the end zone. Touchdown,
touchdown Duran.

Speaker 1 (02:03:24):
As the pass is caught over the top over the
middle by Land and Blouse, and that is a seven
yard touch six yard touchdown reception that'll stop the clock
at five point fifty seven left to play in the
third reges thirty five, Duran six.

Speaker 3 (02:03:39):
And Duran going to go for two.

Speaker 1 (02:03:44):
So Briding gets his fifth or party his six touchdown
pass of the season for Glouset is his first touchdown
reception of the year, and it's a two point conversion
shotgun again for Briding. We're just going to bring the pressure.
It's a high snap. They'll fake the handoff throw left
catch made at the five, but not out nothing else.
Rather once again on that left side for Kluski, and

(02:04:05):
it will be short thirty five to six. Rabblers lead
it five point fifty seven to go. Third quarterback after
this here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (02:04:13):
This is Friday Night lice on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 4 (02:04:18):

zero two zero.

Speaker 2 (02:04:49):
Your home for high school football, Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 1 (02:04:55):
Welcome back here to Carson Park. It is Oa Claire Regis,
thirty five is the Duran Panthers six kidson, Noah Schwartz.
Danzon's with the year from Carson Park. Dan Price is
back in studio. The Duran Panthers down by as many
as there twenty nine. I don't think we're going to
see an on sidekick here. Five point fifty seven left

(02:05:17):
to play in the ballgame. The clock has stopped, though
the running clock is off at least for the time being.
Regis would need another touchdown to take care of that
and started up again Duran scoring on that six yard
touchdown play. That was a seventy six yard drive for Duran,
so a nice long one for them. Kick will be yeah,
it is a normal kick right into the middle. Cisco

(02:05:38):
is a bad army labor rather hands it off. A
little trickeration there getting it into the hands of Cisco,
and he'll get around the edging, not get much more
up across the fifteen to the seventeen yard line. Regis
still trying some stuff here, even though they're up big.
Maybe stuff that they can implement later on in the
season when they need it. And it is the eighteen

(02:05:59):
yard and officially where weis will start.

Speaker 3 (02:06:02):
Yeah, I'm really not sure about the decision on that
one up by twenty nine and a little fumble on
the transfer on that one, but you.

Speaker 1 (02:06:10):
Know it worked, and the clock is running here, but
we're under the thirty five point mark, So does somebody
know something I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:06:20):
Maybe there was an agreement there, Yeah, maybe the official
rolled it.

Speaker 1 (02:06:24):
So they are content to run the clock, content to
roll the clock here, which is interesting, A little surprised,
But I don't see anybody on the rand sideline arguing
about it. Brian Brenner is saying, oh, there's only ten
guys out there, ten guys on the line, and somebody
was late getting out there for Regis seven Gore who

(02:06:44):
gets out there late. Inverted double wing and the handoff
will go this is Cooper quarterback as well, and off
goes to one of the wingbacks across the twenty up
near the twenty one yard line, and that is the
handoff off to Brady's Strom a couple of yards on
the play second and eight. So yeah, you're right. Maybe

(02:07:08):
the coaches agreed. Not sure exactly why that was, but yeah,
the official roll of the clock, so you'll roll with it.

Speaker 3 (02:07:16):
Could have something to do with the weather and the
way too.

Speaker 1 (02:07:19):
It's possible cover to double wing again it is Cooper, correct, Yeah,
Cooper is the man under center, and he will hand
it off to his left wing who cuts it up
the gut. Twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven, he's taken
down the left winger. This time was Braxton Tarbox around
the left edge.

Speaker 3 (02:07:39):
No, pardon me, not tar Box. It was yeah, Mason Cisco,
who have the.

Speaker 1 (02:07:46):
Carrie gets a decent game up across the twenty fine
or the twenty six yard line will be second or
third and two.

Speaker 3 (02:07:51):
Excuse me. This regius offense works so well that you
know they still managed to get third and manageable here
with the second team out there.

Speaker 1 (02:08:00):
Strom and Forster are the wingbacks at the moment in
the inverted double wing a whistle, and what do we
have here? It's third down, officials. There are too many
guys on the field. There's another equipment issue of some
all right, somebody's got an equipment problem again. That's Matthew
Stats had come to the sideline. Maybe some blood on

(02:08:22):
the legs, something like that. They're looking at his leg,
all right, So here we go, and now already second
or third and two, excuse me, and it will be
a handoff Cooper on the counter around the right right edge,
staying on his feet across the thirty up near the
thirty three. That was a heck of a tackle to
stop Forster on the play. He almost broke that. Lucas
Woods stopped him. It is a first down up to

(02:08:44):
the thirty three yard line.

Speaker 3 (02:08:45):
Yeah, it's still a first down there. But man, there
was a lot of green grass or I guess green
artificial turf in front of him.

Speaker 1 (02:08:53):
Forester with the carry about to tick under three minutes
left to go, Dan, it kind of feels down on
the field like this game is sort of in that
in the running clock, everybody's just kind of packing it
in almost down there in sil Is that what it
looks like yeah.

Speaker 9 (02:09:07):
And also it seems the Durand side has also put
in some backups too on the defensive end as well,
so we're getting a little bit of inexperience on both
sides of the football.

Speaker 1 (02:09:16):
Cooper with the hard count. And you know, there was
some early moon I think somebody on the left edge
moon early here for Regis full start, and it was
a Noah Martin I think on that left edge.

Speaker 3 (02:09:27):
Just it's almost like he started falling forward and he
just said, please stop, please, gravity stop, please, gravity stop.
And unfortunately Isaac Newton went out on that one. So
you take five yards backward and first and fifteen coming
up for Regis. Se if only that apple hadn't fallen
from that tree, then that wouldn't and then we and

(02:09:48):
then Regis wouldn't have cost five yards but hundreds of
years later. Yep, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (02:09:54):
I am with you. That's all what it's about. It
burnt a double wing again. Man goes in motion. They
had it to the tailback, the ball is coughed up.
Duran's got it looks like at the thirty yard line.
See who the tailback was there for the Ramblers. But
Duran's got it on the turnover on downs and just
like that. I believe it was number five Brody's Stern

(02:10:15):
who was the one carrying there. He was one who
coughed it up turnover rather here to Durand, or was
it they're gonna say it was down? You know they
calling him down.

Speaker 3 (02:10:24):
It was in the middle of the pile. Had Regis recovered.
I saw Durand recovering it too, but it looked like,
you know, it was in the middle of the pile.
Maybe they're gonna say, you know, he was down by progress.

Speaker 1 (02:10:36):
Just so one thirty five to six, Regis one to go,
clock still ticking second down. It basically could take too
kneasier and this game would be over. But the handoff
will go to the left wing to the right side
here for Regis for a about a no gainer around
the right edge. Ball carrier was no one Martin again,

(02:10:56):
Gary will be third and about twelve here from their
own thirty one. We're under a minute left to play.
They should only need to take one more snap and
this game should be over.

Speaker 3 (02:11:06):
Really not a whole lot of space on that last one.
But it was a good job on Martin of getting
back to the line.

Speaker 1 (02:11:10):
I'll tell you what, I'll give a lot of credit.
So the team's here for getting this game in after
that thirty minute delay. So I had a feeling like
we might have more delay throughout the night, but the
weather is held off for the time being, and one
more snap's gonna get it done here. The handoff will
go around the right to the left edge for Palasek.
Palisek will cut it up at the thirty five, be
taken down at the thirty six. Thirty seven a six

(02:11:31):
yard game, and that is gonna do it. Twenty seven
seconds remain, The clock will tick down, the teams will
come to the midfield. I don't think Duran's gonna take
a time out here. Thirty five to six will be
the win for Regis. Brian Brenner is onto the field
and he's ready to shake hands.

Speaker 3 (02:11:47):
I think.

Speaker 1 (02:11:49):
Is he stocking with the official? Seems like everything's good
to go. Yeah, he's across the field to shake hands.

Speaker 3 (02:11:56):
All right.

Speaker 1 (02:11:56):
That is it, Regis Ramblers win. They moved at five
and zero here against twenty five to six. We'll take
a one minut break, come back with our post game

We'll recap the scoring in a second quick Noah, but
your initial thoughts on this game, This game came to a.

Speaker 1 (02:13:37):
Halt with that delay. But Regis from the opening kick, right,
I mean that opening kickoff for its return for a
touchdown set the tone and Duran just just seemed like
they never had a response all night long.

Speaker 3 (02:13:48):
Yeah, Cisco taking that one to the house on the
opening kickoff really set the tone this game. I don't
know if your folks remember back to a few hours
ago when we came into this game, all the the
excitement and the tension and the burden of expectation placed
on these two teams, two four and zero teams coming
in and two teams of course ranked, and you know

(02:14:12):
we really expected a close game. Were you You mentioned
that this might be the year that Duran finally unseats
Regis here at the top of the clover belt, But
uh man, I don't know if that could have been
further from the case here, And you know, I'm sure
that Duran. They were missing their leading running uh running
back of course coming into this game, but they really

(02:14:32):
just did not for lack of better words, they did
not seem to have it at any point during this game,
and they weren't able to really do any honestly.

Speaker 1 (02:14:42):
Thought you were going to say for a moment, and
I think that might be accurate as well, didn't stand
a chance. I mean, that's just kind of how it
felt tonight, right. It just was one of those nights
where it felt like this was always going to be
a Regis win with how again, just kind of how
it started. And it started with that Cisco seventy five
yard touchdown return out of the gate. He broke one
tackle and he was I mean, there's just nobody there
to stop him. And then even the Nick Helen you

(02:15:03):
know touchdown run, the first offensive touchdown that Regis had
with three forty two left to play. We talked about,
I don't know, I cannot remember any time this year
for sure, and I can't remember in the last couple
seasons there being that few defensive jerseys in front of
a runner with about three or four blockers in front
of him, and he could again, they could have all
five of them just joined hands and ran into the

(02:15:24):
end zone themselves. There was nobody stopping them, which was
absolutely wild to go up there. Then we had that
thirty minute rain delay or weather delay that didn't have any.

Speaker 3 (02:15:32):
Weather to it.

Speaker 1 (02:15:32):
There was lightning in the area, so we stopped for
thirty minutes, but came back fifteen to nothing. Regis led
Brody Tarbocks would score with eight to fifty eight left
to go in the third quarter late or second quarter,
excuse me. Late in the second quarter, Nick Hellen punched
it in from two yards out. Regis was up twenty
eight to nothing at halftime, and then Brody tarbas put
it up to thirty five to nothing with a thirteen
yard touchdown run two thirteen left to go in the

(02:15:53):
third quarter. Bronning had that touchdown pass late in this game,
about five minutes left that made it thirty five to six.
And that's how we got here. And so as we
look at the upcoming schedule for both these teams, Regis
now goes to an old fox and old rival just
down the road on Highway twelve at Fall Creek a
next week, and then a big one right Mondovi the
week after. That's October third, Friday night, I think I

(02:16:16):
think we're back here on radio for that game. Don't
quote me on that. Don't quote me either, but I
think we might be.

Speaker 3 (02:16:21):
I think it's possible.

Speaker 1 (02:16:22):
So if not, it'll be on Regis Catholic Schools dot
com and the video stream there and then at Stanley
Boyd at Nilsville. I mean, it does really feel like
after tonight Regis is lining up for that Mondovi game.
And if they can get through that sky's limit for
this Rambler team.

Speaker 3 (02:16:38):
Absolutely, and if they play the way that they played
here against durand I think, you know, even whatever past
whatever is passed the skies, the one, maybe the moon,
it's possible. That is for sure.

Speaker 1 (02:16:48):
Elkbound gave Regis a game last week. That is the
next opponent for Duran. They will have an Elkmound at
home next Friday night, then at Ossio, then at Fall
Creek and then against Mondovi and that life last week
of the season. So that's the upcoming schedule for these
two squads. You were in Spring Valley against kadat tomorrow night,
another seven o'clock start beyond the Air a few minutes
before that. Looking forward to that, looking forward to listening.

Speaker 3 (02:17:10):
Absolutely, I'll do my best.

Speaker 1 (02:17:13):
We're looking forward to it as well, all right. Special
thanks to all those who made the broadcast possible. Of course,
Dan Zon's our party, Dan Price back in the studio
for making it happen here on Moose Country. One oh
six seven for dan Zon's Noah Schwartz. I'm Peaconoots in
your final score from Carson Park tonight. It's the five
and zero Regis Ramblers thirty five, the Duran Panthers six.

(02:17:34):
Chris Gotner.

Speaker 3 (02:17:34):
I'm rounding third and coming for home.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
