Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is a special presentation of iHeart Media Sports on
Moose Country one zero six point seven.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
From downtown Oa Claire, Wisconsin and Carson Park. We welcome
you in for the final week of the twenty twenty
five WIA state football season. It's Division six, it's the
Clover Belt Conference, and the team that is at least
secured a share of the Glover Belt Conference championship this season.
The Regius Ramblers at eight to no getting set to
(00:28):
take on the Neilsville Grant Warriors at one and seven
on the season, Pecoots and Noah Schwartz.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Dan Zon's down on.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
The field today. We got a full crew for you.
Dan Price is back in the studio. Noah. It's the
final week of the high school football season. It's exciting
for a lot of reasons. And uh, we know for
Regis it's gonna be more games starting next week in
Level one of the playoffs. For Neilsville. These guys going
out on the field, there's a few seniors on this team.
They're gonna be playing their last high school football game,
(00:57):
might be their last competitive football game. It's an emotion day,
it's emotional night, and it should be an exciting one.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Here tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Absolutely. I mean anytime we get the privilege to come
out here to Carson Park and see a ball game here,
it's always a privilege, but especially tonight, wrapping up the
regular season, you got playoff aspirations. On the one side,
you got a lot of pride and a lot of emotion.
On the other side, you couldn't have said it better.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Again, this Regis team has been great all season. Through
their six conference games, they have averaged thirty seven points
per game. That's second in the Clover Belt Conference. Defense
ranks first as well. They only give up eleven point
five points per game. And last Friday at Stanley, the
Ramblers overcame an early seven to zero deficit and scored
a ton in late in the game as well, kind
(01:43):
of late first half early second half, to win forty
three to nineteen over the Orioles. This Sneilsville team, in
his second sixth season as the head coach of the Warriors,
Relayman brings his squad in again trying to snap a seven.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Game losing streak.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Wars began their season with the forty six to twelve
non conference win over New Lisbon, and through their six
game conference schedule, they have struggled. Right, They've been limited
to just thirty three points in those games.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
As well.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
On the defensive side, they've given up a ton of
points as well. It's forty five points per game that
they've been giving up a conference game. So Neilsville, right,
a little bit under man. They're a team that has
struggled to even field a team the last few seasons. Right,
had to forfeit the season last year. But this Nilsville team,
you know they're gonna go out there with some pride.
They got the parents here tonight, and you know that
(02:31):
they're gonna do their best to do what they can
do against Regis to season.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Absolutely, there's the old saying, it's not the size of
the dog in the fight, it's the size of the
fight and the dog. And I'm sure these these Nilsville
players they've got a lot of fight within them.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
I've never heard a better phrase to describe Dan Zon's
who's down on the field right now. He is the
fight and the dog is i mean, is big. With
dan Zon's on there, this Regis team, they're going with
the blackout Dan and I'm sure the energy is high.
But this is one of those games where you can't
get to it's too comfortable, right. This is a Neilsville
team that you think that Regis could beat, but certainly
(03:04):
down there on the field, they got to stay tuned
in because if you don't, weird things could happen on
a final night of the season.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Yeah, and that's exactly what I was about to bring
up too.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
I mean, Noah and I had a game last week
Colefax at Boys Bill.
Speaker 5 (03:15):
That one didn't really get too competitive.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
However, they had times where they struggled against Colefax, who
had quite literally given up almost forty points a game.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
However, for this Regis team.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
You just got to follow your philosophy, the same thing
that's gotten you so far that running game. I mean
almost two thousand yards. They can break that number tonight
total rushing for this for this offense. And that's not
even bringing up just purely their best rusher alone. Each
single one of their best rushers have at least three
hundred yards, And that just tells you how much depth
(03:47):
this team has, but also the tenacity of this team
to fight for those extra yards.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, it really doesn't know when you look at the
stats of the squad. I mean, you know, Brody Tarbacs,
who has the most yards on this team, is actually
one of the guys who has the fewest yards per
carry on the squad. But it's still six point eight
yards per curry, which is, I don't know, by my math,
pretty good. You can get a first down every couple
of downs there, as well as four under fifty one
yards on the ground. Carter Whiteside three sixteen, Austin right
(04:14):
Out three zero three, Nick Hellen has two seventy nine.
Braxton Tarbus his brother has one eighty four, and Mason
Cisco with one fourteen. That is a total of seven
guys in a high school football season, seven running backs
to have over one hundred yards rushing is pretty impressive.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Yeah, it's unheard of. It's like a video game number,
like NCAA football Road to Glory back in the day
or something. But back in the day, just last year, well,
I was talking about the old ones back on the
three sixty. Yeah, but it's really what we've come to
expect from this regius team. You know they're gonna run
the ball, and you know they're going to block well
and carry the ball exceedingly well and being able to
(04:51):
put up those cargantuan yards for carry numbers. It's I
hesitate to say it's routine at this point, but it's
pretty much routine.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
But we're a couple seconds away from the senior day things.
Let's say. The other thing about this Regius team is
they have been tested. Right, We've talked about you know,
you think about the games they play that have been
big ones. Duran and of course that Mondovi went where
they probably should have lost, but a Hail Mary wanted
for them as well, so they at least have experienced
some of this. And when they get to the playoffs,
you would think that would certainly help them as well.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
All Right, here's Joe Roach.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
He's gonna recognize the Regis seniors here before we get
the prayer in the national anthem here from Carson Park.
Here is that introduction of the seniors for the Rams.
Speaker 7 (05:31):
Let's listen from number eight, Michael Olson number twenty to
Come number twenty one, Austin right Out number twenty two, Powder.
Speaker 8 (05:48):
Whiteside number thirty, Michael Lebon number fifty one, Jock Schuler
number sixteen, Landed Sembling number sixty five, Max Danielson number
sixty seven, Logan Hop number seventy seven George Wildersor and
(06:15):
number eighty five Tyler Kaylan also student assistant, christ Tank.
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Senior.
Speaker 8 (06:25):
Thank you for your collective effort, dedication and spirit these
past four years. You've definitely set a stander to be
upheld for the future.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
We thank you, We wish you well, and.
Speaker 8 (06:35):
Remember, once a Rambler, always a Rambler.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
And ladies and.
Speaker 8 (06:43):
Gentlemen, welcome to a Player's Carson Park for this Plber
Belt Conference game between the Nielsville Granted Warriors and your
old Claire Regis Ramblers. Yes those were able to pay
stand and remove your hats. The name of the Father
(07:03):
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen, Lord.
As we prepare for this game against Nielsville Granted, we
ask your blessing on both teams and the fans. We're
here to cheer them on. We enjoy the competition when
both teams have an intense desire to win, watch over
and protect all. We have traveled to tonight's game and
have everyone here to the safe trip home.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Lord.
Speaker 8 (07:26):
Amen, in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Amen.
Speaker 8 (07:31):
And now to honor America, those defending our freedom. Here's
our national anthem, performed by Regis High School freshman.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
C See hurt.
Speaker 9 (07:43):
See can see by the aly what's so crawdly.
Speaker 10 (08:00):
Had the twilight.
Speaker 9 (08:03):
Lasky whose but stripes sand Brian stops.
Speaker 10 (08:12):
Through the penspot or the rest parts we watched were
so gamally streaming and the racket rack, the busted gay
(08:40):
proof through the line that our flag was still over
or says that star spiningled banway.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
On the national anthem Here from Carson Park, we are
ready for football here between Neils, Bill Branton and the
Regius Bramblers speaking hots and Noah Schwartz. Dan Zod's here
with you from Carson Park. Glad to be at Carson
Park certainly, and of course Dan Price back running the
radio dials here tonight on bus Country when I was
six point seven fmw atq Tech go player tip Football's
(09:37):
monominee at iHeart radio station. We are ready for football
here and Noah again exciting a final week of the season.
It's a final weekend of the regular season. This is
a kind of game one of the double dip for
you as well. That's what's Spring Valley and Colfax tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Correct, absolutely back in Dan's hometown of cole Faxe and
his former team. And you know cole Fax they did
a good job against a strong Voice Field team last week,
uh shutting out Boys full in that second half, So
that should be a good one.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Well what I think, you know, when you're back in
Colfax with Dan, I'd assume there's gonna be like, you know,
a free steak dinner from you know, somewhere down at
the bowling Alley there they're gonna bring to you guys
up in the booth, right, I mean, Dan, is that
kind of a known guy?
Speaker 6 (10:19):
Dan?
Speaker 3 (10:19):
Is that gonna happen?
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Now?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Is that the plan tomorrow that you're gonna get some
some extra extra munchies up to the up to the
booth there at Colfax.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
Well, we'll see, we'll see how much time we have
pre game, but I definitely will have to think about
stopping buy and getting.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
Some cheese curds from there for sure.
Speaker 6 (10:35):
Cuz, man, do I miss those cheese curds from the
bowling Alley.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
I'll tell you what. There you go, that's what you
need to do. You gotta know, you gotta know your
spots at Colfax and that'll be a fun one for
the guys. And again we'll see what happens for the
start of the w i A playoffs as well.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Level one will be next Friday.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Uh. The selection show will be aired, I believe on
w q o w's website. You can check that out
there and see all of the selections for that, see
where all the teams kind of come out. We'll see
if you guys are in Boyceville, if you're wherever you are, right,
you're gonna be somewhere, I assume, So we'll figure it out.
Figure it out as we go. Ramblers take the field.
(11:13):
They're in the all black uniforms tonight, kelly green numbers
outlined in white. They've got the white helmets though on
with the Kelly green are for the Regis Ramblers on
the side of the Knilsville Granton Warriors and the all
white uniforms with the red numbers, red trim red.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Helmets as well.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Again, this Nielsville Granton team is trying to get back
to kind of where they were. This is a team
that has a pretty proud tradition, pretty proud history, and
again they've had a hard time fielding a team recently,
but they can get back to what they were and
the last decade or so. They're excited for that and
we'll see what they all come out with. They are
pretty banged up tonight. They've got their main quarterback, and
(11:47):
Andrew Hazer out tonight. He was in street closed before
the game. We expect that to be the case here tonight.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
I'll tell you what though.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's week nine right of the high school football season,
and maybe it's because it's a Thursday, but we got
the all star officiating crew here tonight. The incomparable, the legendary,
the man, the myth, the legend, Bob Radovitch's favorite referee,
Pat Hammond is here at the ball game tonight as
the referee. Glenn Waterhouse is the umpire. Ryan Nelson, Jan
(12:14):
mcgethrin and Paul Nelson are the headline judge, the line judge,
and the back judge. And all three of those guys
are all college football and basketball officials as well. So
we've got a really experienced crew here tonight at Carson Park,
all right, ready for football here between Nilsville Granton and Regis. Regis,
we'll take the ball to start things off. Believe they
(12:36):
won the toss as well, and they decided to receive.
So here comes the kickoff and the Ramblers will send off.
Leave Carter Whiteside and Carter Cisco back here for the Ramblers.
And there's a kick about to come from Cody Hart
and the run up and here we go near side.
It comes and it will be taken by right out
nearside at the twenty. He will run right up the middle,
(12:57):
looking for a whole near side, trying to break a
tackle across the forty and gets.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Thrown down of the forty one yard line.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
The open field tackle coming in from Marcus lupter Hond
and it will be for the forty one yard line,
first down here for the Ramblers.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Just a quick look at tonight's weather. It is more
seasonable than it has been the last little while here
at the Chiquah Valley. A little light rain on the way,
about fifty nine degrees and the winds at about eight
miles an hour out of the southeast.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
We're gonna have to explain this one to me.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
I don't know if the teams agreed to this or what,
but they've got a running clock here to start, and
that might be something that's going on is there's a
run up the middle here for Brady Strom and a
quick whistle as he is taken down just past the
line of scrimmage, maybe to the forty two yard line.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Ramblers come out with.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
A couple of guys there that maybe you weren't necessarily expecting.
Could be a senior day type of thing with Strom
as well as Nick Helen the other senior at the
two wings and that inverted wing.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
And just like that, it's right out.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Who comes out there along with that Vliet Nick Helen,
No Barbey white Side on the other wing as well.
The man under center is Joey Brahmer. Here comes a
handoff to the right side. Big hole fifty forty five
forty dripped up near the forty yard line, goes Arder
white Side for the Ramblers. Big game up to the
meals Ville Gram thirty nine yard line. It'll be first
(14:24):
to ten here for Regis and Whiteside.
Speaker 4 (14:26):
Doing a good job. He found a lot of open space,
green astro turf. He was able to hit the hole
of speed.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Not sure, Dan, if you're down there, if you know
any you know anything about that running clock.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
But it's been running.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
There's been no stoppages since that kickoff down there.
Speaker 6 (14:40):
No, I haven't heard anything yet, as this play is
about to start.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Now we'll get an idea about that here as well.
Here comes a pitch left to right right up the gut,
Helen cutting left side twenty five twenty.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
It's a foot race.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Left side of the fifteen as he's tracked down from
behind up near the ten yard line. Taken down by
Landon Rakestraw, so it will be first and goal from
the ten yard line here for the Ramblers.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
Good job by Rakestraw on that tackle that time, as
Helen just had the one man to beat along that
far side.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
My guess is that the coaches just agreed to having
a running clock to start again. A lot of injuries
for Neilsville Grant and that might have something to do
with that. We also see a new quarterback in there
for Regis as well. Micah Olsen was the man running
things I believe here for Regis number eight without Brahmer
in there, and I think the Ramblers want to keep
(15:28):
some guys fresh for the first level. Here's a cut
up the middle and there's a touchdown for the Ramblers.
It's Brady Strom, the senior running back right up, but
got in from ten yards out.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
Nine thirty eight left to go first ter.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
It's Regis six and the Warriors and Neils will Granton zero.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Really, you can't ask for a better opening or drive
than that. I mean, we've seen it all season long
from these Ramblers. They keep the ball on the ground
and good things happen.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Big holes down there on the field, Dan, it seemed
like there was a lot of running room for this
Regis team.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
Yeah, I mean Regis's offensive line has been walking so
well to start off this game.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Open up a double.
Speaker 6 (16:04):
Wide hole and completely gone in for a touchdowns and.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
Goes under center. Here there's a flip. This is right
out cutting it up the middle for the two. It's
eight to nothing, Gregious, nine thirty eight left to go
first corner.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
We'll come back right after this.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You're on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
This is Friday Night Lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 11 (16:24):
For the last fifteen years, Affordable Dentures and Eau Claire
has helped over fifteen thousand patients seek a better life,
a life free to smile easily and without embarrassment, a
life free from the negative health effects associated with infective teeth.
Each year we help hundreds of patients freeing themselves from
the physical and mental trauma of a life limited by
poor oral health. If you are ready to move beyond
(16:47):
the days of hiding your smile, call Affordable Dentures for
a free consultation. Seven point five eight five five one
zero two zero.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Welcome back here to Carson Park, Oakley. Regis going up
eight to nothing after a Brady Strom ten yard touchdown
run and drive.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
It took fifty nine.
Speaker 12 (17:10):
Yards just five plays to get in for the Ramblers
in for the touchdown, Brady Strom punching it in from
ten yards out and he's.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Now over one hundred yard mark on the season for him.
That might have had something to do with what Brian
Brunner was trying to do there to get another guy
over the one hundred yard mark. Is here comes a
run up and the kick for Regis and that ball
is over the head of the intended returner in Rakestraw,
and it will be a touchback and that we'll bring
it out to the twenty year for Neils.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
We're still bringing it out to the twenty in high
school football.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Yeah, pretty god knows where. We're bringing it out everywhere else,
but nonetheless we're bringing it out to the twenty a
year for Neilsville Granton. So this is what's going to
be interesting, right. They are a banged up Nilsville Granton
team here. Typically Andrew Hazer, their senior quarterback, would be
in there, but he was in sweats before the game.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
And it'll be Caden Harton who will.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Be the man running the or running the ship basically
here for Neilsburg Grant. And he's just three of sixteen
passing for forty two yards and three interceptions. I mean
Hazer eighty one of one fifty six for eight hundred
and eighty seven yards. So well as the team it
wants to pass, question is will they be able to
with hard time? The senior at quarterback, he throws right
side catch made in the backfield, running right and out
(18:23):
of bounds. That might actually be a loss of a
yard out there the Rakes draw. Indeed, he was pushed
out of bounds here in the nineteen yard line, so
he loses one on the play.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
It'll be second and eleven.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
Oh they went backwards that time. But you said it.
They wanted to pass, and we saw it right there
first play of the game, and they came out in
an empty set spread five wide, and you know, if
you can do it, that's not a bad way to
play football.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
We are told that the clock running there at the
kickoff for Regis was a clock operating air that no
one corrected.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
So apparently we're not running on the clock, which is
a good thing.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
And I assume that that would be something that be
kind of a little, a little weird to So it'll
be two receivers to the right, one left ear shotgun formation,
handoff around the left edge, hitting the backfield and wrapped up.
There goes the running back Lucas Strangfeld, and he has
dropped for about a one maybe a two yard loss
back to the eighteen yard let've.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Got him a one yard loss. It's third and twelve.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Just great, great pressure and great contained there from the
front defensive line there for Regis.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Dan looks like that Regis team already getting a lot
of penetration up front.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
Yeah, I'm kind of getting ready for that first playoff
matchup here. This defensive line has been really tough to
go against all season long. Two of them having over
four sacks in the season, which is just great. And
then also multiple tackles over twenty for each Tyler Galing
and for Sembling.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
Yeah, those guys up front are great, and obviously Noah
Labor and Mason McCoy great defensively as well. We got
some movement here by Neilsville Granton, and this will be
five yards back and we get to peer on the mic.
Speaker 3 (19:56):
Mister Pat Hammon, enjoy.
Speaker 9 (20:00):
Five yards here.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
It is all right five yards outside. Very good, mister Hammond,
Thank you again, former head coach of the Eau Claire
North Husky basketball team years ago, friend of the program.
It's third and seven here for Neilsville Grant, a great profession. Yeah,
I would say so. He always wants to talk Kansas
basketball with me, So I'll take that. Two receivers left,
(20:25):
two right. They go a man in motion pressure comment
in a sad Mason McCoy shooting the gap, nobody blocked him,
and Harton goes down back of the fifteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
That'll be an eight yard loss.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
And it's fourth and long and the fans certainly love
it here for the Ramblers as a punt unit will
come out for Neilsville Granton with eight twenty five and
the clock running left to go in the first quarter,
reaches up eat nothing.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
Yeah, the Ramblers were able to beat Harttung back to
the back of his drop before he got there. Really
just no chance on that one.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Regis, I'll wait the punch a little bit of a
late job getting Rakestraw in there.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
As part of the formation.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
He is the punter as well, so he was maybe
getting some last minute instructions about what to do here
At Neilsville Grant. I'm sure they're probably thinking, you'll go
it's hard to go for a fake here, but you're
probably thinking, at what point are we going to have
to is He gets that away and that's almost blocked
by Labor. It bounces at the Neilsville Granton thirty five
and then rolls back a couple of yards before it's
(21:24):
finally touched to the thirty three So ends up being
a seventeen yard punt only there for Neilsville Granton and
Regis will take over at the Warrior thirty three yard line.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
We've talked about it coming into this game, how Regis
has to keep their head up and stay focused for
the playoffs next week. This drive's going to go a
long ways towards that you come out with a short
field about halfway through the first quarter thirty three yards
to go for another score. And the way that they'll
be able to make this happen should show what they're
(21:55):
looking for as we get toward playoff time.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Three plays for minus four yards on drive for Neilsville Brand.
They'll go two receivers right, one left, will Regius ball
in the far hash Mark Bromer back to pass looking
over the middle. He will launch just one deep over
the top jump ball. It is incomplete, went through the
hands and then went off the helmet of Austin right
out and fell down just inside the ten yard line.
It was decent coverage, but the catch was certainly there.
(22:20):
He probably should have made it. It's incomplete, second and ten.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
And bromerhead all the time in the world back in
that pocket throwing into it. Looked like double coverage to me,
but still good chance at that ball, and maybe you
should have been caught right out.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
And Cisco check in here for the Ramblers. Cisco will
go out in the slot to the left and is
right out out wide left. Two receivers why to the right,
side as well, including mister Griffin Bodo the hero from
that Mondovi game. As back to passes Bromer three man rush,
won't get a lot of pressure. Catch made here near
side of the twenty five and a nice little move
down the sideline tiptoeing out of bounds across the twenty
(22:54):
goes Jayden right out and he will be pushed out
of bounds at the nineteen yard line.
Speaker 3 (22:59):
That's a four yard gain and a first down for
the Ramblers.
Speaker 8 (23:03):
Callum Ham four two month.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Balls here hand getting the ham excuse me getting the
credit for the tackle as he pushes him out at
the nineteen eight nothing Ramblers seven point thirty left to
play here in the first quarter, Ramblers will split three
receivers left, one to the right, Austin right out on
his own off to the right side for Brahmin. Ramer
has Rody Tarbox's his tailback. We'll go back to pass.
(23:25):
Look left the entire way. You're gonna launch this one
back corner of the end zone. Jump ball. It is
up and incomplete. They went for Boda with a jump ball.
Look that that big size differential out there at six
foot five frame. He's going up against the defensive back
there and Cody Hard who's definitely got a probably five
six inches up.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
Yeah, big big arcing pass from Brown where there looked
like a rainbow just right through the hands of Boda.
But they've still got a couple more downs here.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
The feeling like Regis is trying to mess around with
some pass places. Here's stuff that they can use when
they get to the playoffs. Go re receivers right bunched
up near side on the near hash mark as well.
One receiver out to the left is Austin right out
shotgun second and ten from the nineteen of Neilsville Grant
back to pass.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Brommer looks left the entire way. He throws it out.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Another jump ball up and it is incomplete good defense
out on the edge from Cody Hart just stayed in
front of him and didn't let right out make that catch.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
It's third and ten.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
Yeah, Heart the great effort in the end zone, getting
his hands up, making sure that he got between that
ball and right out.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Well, Regis is just launching it.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
They're trying to get the jump ball going here and
seeing what they can get with it. So far, Heart's
spin up to the task out on that far left
edge on the offense. Boda now gonna split out wide
left right, out wide right, two slot receivers left here
for regis third and ten back to pass. Brommer looks
left the entire way, slings it out that way. It's
up and it's caught at the ten yard line. That's
(24:51):
first down yardage. It's more than that. It's a touchdown
out on the edge and the Ramblers score once again.
It is Tucker Durrell, the junior running back, was out
there as a slot receiver. The defender went for the
jump there and it went just over his outstretched fingertips,
perfectly throwing ball and a touchdown for nineteen yards out.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Yeah, if you were half an inch Toler, he would
have had it. But how sometimes those are the bouncers.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Holding Rummer, wall Hold and Schroeder will attempt the extra
point and Tucker Durwin getting himself a receiving touchdown from
nineteen yards out. Snap spot, kick up, Kick's good. It's
a fifteen nothing lean for the Ramblers. Seven to eleven
left to go. First quarter. We come back after this
here on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country, one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
It's the fourth quarter.
Speaker 13 (25:46):

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Your home for high school football? Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Welcome back in here to Carson Park. It is a
should be a fifteen nothing lead, I think for the Ramblers.
Yeah they made that extra point yea though so says
fourteen on the board, But it is fifteen to nothing
regius to the lead seven to eleven left to go
here in the first quarter. Dan Zon's is down on
the field. Dan, we'll go to you after this kickoff.
How about that as we wait this, But it looked
(26:41):
like maybe a Ramblers shaken up on that last defensive drive.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
And we'll get a report from Dan here in.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Just a second. Zack Schroeder gets set to kick this
one away for the Ramblers up fifteen to nothing. Just
a few minutes in, here's a kick we'received at about
the seven yard line far side. The return comes up
to the twenty maybe the twenty one yard line there
for Nilsville Granton. So that was ham out on the edge. No,
it was the running back strength felt getting it up
(27:09):
to the twenty one yard line. Dan, you saw Noah
Labor looking labored down there on the field.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Tell us a little bit about what you saw.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
I did.
Speaker 6 (27:16):
He's out there back again, but he was clutching his
knee when he was coming off that punt that he
nearly blocked, almost had a hand on that one.
Speaker 5 (27:24):
Well, keep an eye on him.
Speaker 6 (27:25):
For the rest of this game, but it's definitely something
to look for. But good to see him back out there,
all right.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
So appreciate that, Dan, Well, I thought that that extra
point was good, but apparently they're saying it was not good.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
And I apparently I'm seeing things.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
This is where you start to feel like you're losing it.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
Noah, I'm with you. I've already lost.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Him, all right. So fourteen to nothing, I guess Ramblers
with the lead, and as there comes a fake handoff.
They throw it out left side, catch made at the
twenty one, but not much else. Labor along with others
pushing back the receiver there in Marcus leuchterhon and he
will get a yard of the twenty two. It's second
and nine and no. Unfortunately, I think I have also
(28:02):
seen that flash of lightning there just a moment ago
as well. On the officials seem to be okay to
let things roll for the moment.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
I think so. I think it's for it's far enough
in the distance.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
Right, Let's hope.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
I don't need another lightning to lay. But I guess
that gives us a chance to go to the concession stand.
So you know, you take us six and one half.
Do you're some pieces? They say?
Speaker 4 (28:22):
Here, yeah, yeah, they got some great slushies here absolutely
six twenty three left to go.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
First quarter.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
I think Dan wants to jump in on that horse
apiece stuff, so we'll go to that in a second.
Two receivers left, two to the right. Man in motion
here for Neils Will Granton. We'll hand it off to
him on an endron. Looks like he wants to pass
it a little pressure back there, launch down the far sideline.
It is up and it is caught inside the fifty
and across the fifty to the forty eighty yard line.
(28:49):
I think Tayden right out kind of sold out to
try to get the interception and he miss timed it.
Great pass there by landing Rakestraw on the end around
a little trick play and they get to the forty
nine yard line.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
Of the Yeah. A great reception downfield from the senior
heart for Nilsville. Just unbelievable. I mean, you saw Ray
Straw there. He was in some trouble. He had some
ramblers right around him, but he was able to stand
tall and what I guess you could call a pocket
and just heave that one downfield. Good things happened.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Pretty nice trick play there.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Dan. It looked like Regis looked like they saw it
was happening. They just gonna make the stop.
Speaker 6 (29:23):
Yeah, I mean that was almost a sack there at
the well, nearly a sack.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
But he was able to keep his feet. He's able
to keep his feet.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Alive them just set and throw that one comes to the
quarterback keeper here for Nilsville, Granton, and that will be
kept by Hertzung and he'll get a couple up just
kind of right through the middle of the offense there,
or the defense rather for Regis, and he gets into
the forty six yard line for a gain of three
to'll be second and seven, Regius fourteen. The Warriors of
Neilsville grant zero five seventeen left to go. First quarter,
(29:53):
and it's second and seven.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
Brain's starting to come down just a little bit heavier here.
We'll have to see how that affects the game and
perhaps these offensive players grips on the football.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Noah was trying to debate with Dan before the game,
and he wanted to be the sideline. Were you like
this kind of weather?
Speaker 4 (30:09):
I know this is my kind of weather. I love precipitation.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
I do not second seven here for Nielsville.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
You and I are very different in that way.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Here's a handoff roll right Heartung throws it's out and incomplete,
just past the outstretched fingertips of Rakestraw. The pressure was
coming and the hit came in for Tyler Galing. He
went to that right side to Rakestraw. Looked like he
might have got his fingertips on it. What about a
yard or two sharp short of the first down, And
now it's third and seven.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
But Gaialing really making that play, his hit on the quarterback.
Really it caused Hartung's passages float way over his intended target.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I need the thirty nine for a first down. This
feels like it's four down territory for Neilsville Grin anyway,
four forty seven left to go, first quarter, third and seven,
fourteen nothing Ramblers with the lead, they're taking it a long.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Time to get placing right now.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
The back judge here today for the officiating crew is
Paul Else and his hands in the air. They'll start
that ten second count and then a five second visual
count here. In just a moment, two receivers left, two
to the right, sends a man in motion. That's Rakestraw,
cross the formation back to pass. Hartonk throws it right
in completely and I airmailed that one was a little
bit miss timed for Cody hard On a slant route
(31:17):
on the right side, right idea.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
Just bad execution.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
And now it's fourth and seven, and again i'd imagine
Neilsville Grant will keep their squat out there.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
Yeah, I'm not sure if it was miscommunication or mistiming
or whatever it was. It's fourth thout.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Fourteen to nothing Regius with the lead four forty four
left to go. First quarter, fourth and seven coming up
for Neilsville. Grant in far hash Mark at the Regis
forty six yard line. They need the thirty nine three
receivers go left, a tight end right and the tailback
is just offset to the right of them. Tried to
get Regis to jump, they did not. Hartzengal roll left,
(31:51):
he gets hit, he gets away from the pressure, initially
throws left side, almost a one handed grab by Ray Straw. Wow,
that would have been a heck of a play. Put
that on Sports Center right there. Unfortunately for him, it
goes off his left hand incomplete. Also the turf. It's
first and ten for Regis at their own forty six
yard line.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Yeah, and unfortunately didn't get the completion there. But I
still like that. I like the idea here for Nilsville.
You know you're in plus territory or across midfield. It's
fourth and manageable. I think that was a good call,
even if it didn't come up big for him.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Now Pat Hammond's walking over to his headline judge. Now,
I think now personally and I think we could call
Bob on this. Maybe I think you could convince Pad
Hammond that he's just seeing things when it comes to lightning.
But now I don't know if we're gonna be able
to do that. And I have a feeling we might
be getting a lightning delay here.
Speaker 3 (32:40):
We'll see if that's the case. There's been a couple of.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
Them here, but I pick that might have been some
thunder too.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Four thirty nine left to play here in this first quarter,
and yeah, they're going to send the teams to the
sidelines and we're going to go into a weather delay,
And that means we get to become amateur meteorologists here
and start to see if we can find find what
the radar is looking like. I'm sure our producer, Dan
Price back in studio is already looking at what's going on.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Dan.
Speaker 2 (33:07):
How's it down there on the field. You said there
were some rains starting. It seems like it might be
moving in here.
Speaker 6 (33:13):
Yeah, the rain was starting and now it's going is
completely getting a little bit wet down here.
Speaker 5 (33:20):
On Honestly, it's still playable. I think, well, yeah, I mean,
just to get rid of that lightning.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
You can play in a puddle of mud if you could,
so I mean, that's the Dan Sons thing for you.
So again, fifty seven degrees here at the moment, it
doesn't look I mean, I mean, there really doesn't look
like there's much around us. So whatever this little cell is,
i'd imagine it's going to move pretty.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Quickly and hopefully stay away.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
You can see just one little bliph of red, and
within the probably the next half an hour, it looks
like it's going to be gone. So I think we
just maybe got a little bit unlucky with this little
line of precipitation, that something popped up out of nowhere.
And so we're gonna go to a break here, I
believe Dan Price, we'll do a little lightning break and
what is it? Seven twenty three, So my guess is
(34:06):
we're gonna be back playing before eight o'clock, but we'll
try to give you an update.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
I don't know, maybe a quarter to eight.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Somewhere in there, that would be my assumption. But we'll
just see, I guess because that good. Noah, I don't know,
you're used to doing radio delays at the Express.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Yeah, for the Express, Dan's always kind of enough to
play some buck owens for me. So if you're listening
on the radio side, maybe we'll hear truck driving man
or one of those grant.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
So I just have to have the Northwes's League tell
me what to do when we're on the video side.
So I just I've gotten so used to people just
telling me what to do. I'm married, you know, I
got this, and so it's just whatever you want me
to do.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
So I'm gonna let know it. Maybe take the lead.
He can tell me how to do this this weather delay.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
But we are in a weather delay at lightning delay again.
The usual deal here is that they've got to wait,
you know, the thirty minutes after you see a lightning
bolt and then you restart the you restart the clock
basically when that happens. So four thirty nine left to go,
first quarter. It's Regis fourteen the Warriors of Neilsvil, Grant
and zero. We assume if there's no more lightning that
we would start up probably around seven fifty two, seven
(35:06):
fifty three, something like that. But we'll try to come
back around seven forty five, seven to fifty to let
you know kind of what's going on.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
That will give us time to go get a hot dog.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
I guess, so I'll have the concessions, Tan, so that works, Dan,
We'll send it to a lightning delay. It is fourteen
nothing Ramblers and you're listening to it and watching it
right here on the Rambler Sports Network again.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
Your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Your home for high school football, Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 2 (35:31):
It is your home for high school football. We're happy
to have you along with us here for Carson Park
Regis versus Neilsville Grant in the final week of the
season Pecauts and the Noah Schwartz withy dance ons down
on the field. We are in a lightning delay, had
a little kind of blip of a radar storm something
Sell move through here as well, and it's a fourteen
(35:52):
nothing lead for the Ramblers. But it was one of
those where boy just kind of came up out of nowhere.
And I don't think the officials could get away with
the not stopping the game. The lightning it was just
kind of right around us, and you can ignore it
for only so long, No, and we couldn't ignore it here.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
Yeah, three or four of those maybe, but like you
get to like the fifth one, and I think that's
when you got to college again.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
This is an oaklea Regis team that is eight to
o six and zero conference play a Mondovi the only
team close to him at seven and one, and again
Regius beating Mondovi and that thriller that's thirty six yard
hail Mary pass to Griffin Boda in that game, a
game not here on Moose Country one O sixt seven,
but on the Regis Rambler Sports network. That was one
(36:33):
where Mondovi, you know, they were down by a touchdown.
They scored with the thirty some seconds left. I decided
to go for two and got it, had this great
kind of bootleg play for their quarterback, got in, and
the old Regious sideline was just kind of saying, how
are we gonna not go undefeated?
Speaker 3 (36:51):
We all thought that was happening.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
It didn't, and then all of a sudden that great
hail Mary pass not something you see a lot of
times in the high school game. Noah and I was
saying this before the game. I don't think we had
a chance to talk too much about it, but you know,
Regis is a team that we talk about in the
past where they you know, they oftentimes they kind of
cruise through the Clover Belt Conference. They don't have a
lot of challenges. They win most of their games by
(37:12):
two scorers or more. And you know, by the time
you get to the playoffs, okay, then you get to
let's say level three, and now you've got an opponent
who can really, you know, kind of knock you, you know,
knock your blow for blow basically, and they're not used
to it. But they've had a couple of games Duran game,
even the Faull Creek game a little bit, and of
course i'm Adobe game where they've been tested out. There's
nothing bad that can happen from being tested especially when.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
You win going into the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (37:36):
Yeah, especially in the regular season when you know that
you're you're pretty much playoff bound, as these Ramblers are.
You know, that's the old saying iron sharpens iron, and
these Ramblers they've been able to prove that they are
just as good against the great teams as they are
against the more middling team.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
It was four thirty nine left to play in the
first quarter when we went into this lightning delay, Regis
and just even the ball after a turnover on downs
and starting to drive at their own forty six yard line.
They'll come out with this fourteen to nothing lead. We
have seen a multitude of different players into the game
for Regis as well. Throughout the course of this game,
(38:14):
a lot of guys getting some senior night opportunities. Right.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
We saw.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
No start or at least Joey Brahmer not starting the game.
Michael Olsen started the game a quarterback as a senior.
We saw some different running backs in there. The first
score of the game for the Ramblers came from Brady
Strom from ten yards out with nine thirty eight left
to go. That made it eight to nothing in favor
of Regis, and then a pass to Derwin of nineteen
yards from Brahmer got the Ramblers up fourteen to nothing.
(38:44):
They would miss the extra point, much to my failing
of my own eyes. I thought the ball went through,
but apparently it did not. End it's a fourteen to
nothing game here as Neilsville is taken the field and
the three minute warm up is underway. So we're getting
ready for this. I mean, you've been you know, you
were a school athlete. Noah, you think about playing and
when you had delays for injuries and stuff like that.
(39:05):
This is obviously a little over a half an hour delay.
What what what do you gotta do to stay fresh,
to stay ready, h to come out here and kind
of get right back into the grind of the game.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
That depends on every individual. And you know, I would, uh,
if there are any young athletes out there listening, don't
listen to me, because I was never any good. But
I would just try and stay focused. You know, I wouldn't.
I wouldn't talk a whole lot. I would just try
and focus on the game and maybe do some stretches.
In our locker room, you always had like a table
full of oranges and animal crackers, and you know, a
(39:38):
big tub of.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Gatorade and crustibles.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Yeah, no, that was actually a pre games. Yeah, okay,
I'd have like one of those four pack boxes of
the strawberry ones. I'd eat those on the bus. So
that's a that's a great way to compete.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
Let's go down to dan Zon's. Dan you down there
in the field. I know you're a former football player.
Whenever you had delays like this, right to come back
out after half an hour, forty five minutes, whatever is
of a delay when you're kind of in the heat
of it, to stay warm, to stay to stay up
with everything, what did you do to kind of stay
engage and make sure that when you came out there
on the field you were gonna be right back up
(40:11):
to game speed.
Speaker 6 (40:12):
Well, a lot of the time it would be you'd
have either a tiny snack, not in anything too big
and just to keep the carbs up on you. But
then also you'd try to keep that blood flow and
you know, trying to get up, get a little bit
of calisthetics, stretch around a bit, keep yourself.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
Loose and warm, because.
Speaker 6 (40:29):
That's the thing when you sit down in a locker
room if it's especially a cold game like not necessarily tonight,
but we've seen cold games like this in the past
with rain. If you sit down in a locker room
for way too long, you will absolutely not want you
will absolutely get.
Speaker 5 (40:45):
Up, and you will feel it.
Speaker 6 (40:46):
You will not want to play a full rest of
the football game. So if you're the Ramblers, you know
that they've been just sitting around, just kind of stretching
and stuff, making sure that they're not getting too cramped
up or too comfortable in the locker room.
Speaker 5 (41:01):
And honestly, that's the best way.
Speaker 4 (41:03):
To do it.
Speaker 6 (41:03):
There's there's just no other way to do it like.
Speaker 2 (41:05):
That, And it's fourteen and nothing. Regis with the lead
here over Neilsville Grant. Now the question is does your
snack theory Dan work for broadcasters as well?
Speaker 3 (41:13):
Should I have been eating in between here?
Speaker 2 (41:15):
That was that?
Speaker 3 (41:15):
Did I make a mistake?
Speaker 4 (41:17):
You have?
Speaker 6 (41:18):
You had plenty of time to go down and get
one of those good brots they had at the concessions stay.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
There called gies Dan. Those are hot Those are hot dogs.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
Okay, all right, fair.
Speaker 6 (41:27):
Enough, those are the hot dogs got you, guys.
Speaker 5 (41:29):
Brots are Wisconsin. Rots are Wisconsin. Big thing here. You
can't give it the GLIZZI uh.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
I can't, my god, sacrilege here in Wisconsin villarage that
I would call abroad a glzzy. So my apologies. All right,
we'll go back down to Dan here. As we get
going in this first quarter, we are ready to resume again.
The Regis Ramblers are taking the field and we are
ready to go. They're gonna have the ball at their
own forty six yard line and they'll be moving left
(41:57):
to right. As you listen to them at home, and
as you on the Ramblers sports. That are three receivers right,
one to the left, and I think Brahmer is back
out there at quarterback four regis they want this big
kind of four receiver set. I think they want to
get this in. I mean it's been installed all year,
but they want to run this as much as they
can before the playoffs because they know they're inverted double wing.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
They know that like the back of their hamm.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
But they're trying to get these other plays and these
other opportunities in there. As we get the hard count
with one receiver to left, three to the right, the
handoff on the delay right up the middle, huge all
across the forty far side thirty. Look at the run
from Tarbucks down the far side line to the ten
and he's taken down inside the ten yard line near
the five, Brody Tarbacs on the delay, and what a
(42:42):
run that was. And the Ramblers have a first in
goal after what's going to go down as almost a fifty.
Speaker 4 (42:48):
Yard game, and the line just parted for him and
Brody Tarbaus. I don't think he was even touched till
he was inside the ten, just full steam ahead. Good
things happening for the Ramblings.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
I do think you are right as well. Galing is
going to the play in here.
Speaker 2 (43:00):
I believe that was DJ Cooper in at quarterback, the
third quarterback for Regis there. You've also missing another lineman
there too. I think they wanted to make a big
line change and it took a while to get everybody
in there. Hopefully they can get the playoff here before
the plate clock ticks down. It's four fifteen left to
go in the first quarter. Regis fourteen and Neilsville Grant
and zero. It is Cooper under center. They're gonna go
(43:22):
back to the inverted double wing here and the handoff
is the big man in the back hurtling.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
Over in an end zone.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
Believe they gave it to their lineman who just checked
into the game, said Maximus Danielson.
Speaker 3 (43:36):
I think it is.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
And there's a penalty flag however in the end zone.
Speaker 4 (43:44):
Looks like Danielson kind of spun that football in the
end zone.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Oh and it is unsportsmanlike conduct on Regius.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
You can't spin the ball.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
You are a fan of the key and peel sketch
of them. You can't have three pelvic thrusts. I believe
when you get into the end two is okay, three
is not.
Speaker 4 (44:09):
It's important to.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Have that line of d Marcus right, Yes, this.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
It'll be assess on the kickoff, which is good for
the extra point attempt. And if we know anything about
Pat Ham and the head referee tonight, he does not
put up with any of that kind of craziness. Twenty nothing,
they'll read just with the lead four minutes left to play.
After the big Man run for Maximus Danielson's here comes
(44:34):
Schroeder's extra point attempt. This one. Let's make sure I
got this right. It's good, okay, very good. Twenty one
to nothing. Readius leads four minutes left to go in
the first quarter. We'll come back right after this. Here
on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Welcome back here to O Claire, Regis into Carson Park.
I'm sure, as Dan Zhon's a guy who was a
big defensive guy and a big dude as well in
high school, you gotta like the big man touchdown there
on the field, Dan tell us what you saw as
Regis was running some guys in late to get that
big man in.
Speaker 6 (45:45):
Yeah, I mean, just the excitement from the sideline alone
was big. I knew something big was coming because the
whole sideline was jumping up and down, ready and hoping
Land and Settling was going to be able to get
in for that touchdown.
Speaker 5 (45:57):
And of course if you're a.
Speaker 6 (45:58):
Big man, yeah, godess you gotta give a little.
Speaker 5 (46:01):
Bit of celebration there. When's the next time we're gonna
get a touchdown like that?
Speaker 2 (46:04):
So it is Sembling who got in land in Sembling
number sixty, You are right. When are you gonna get
another chance? That's gonna put this ball back at the
twenty five yard line, Schroeder. We'll put a full boot
into it. They'll take it back inside the twenty yard line.
Here comes to return up across the twenty five and
not a lot else down near the twenty seven maybe
the twenty eight yard line for the running back and
(46:26):
Lucas Strangfell, and that will mean that Neilsville Granton will
get the ball starting at their own twenty before the
progress of twenty eight I think twenty one nothing Regis
with the lead and three fifty two left in the
first quarter. Remember we will get a running clock if
(46:47):
Regis gets up to the thirty five part in the
second quarter. That's the earliest that you can get the
running clock. Three fifty two left to go. Here in
the first Neilsville Granton starting, they're going to mark them
it as their own twenty nine. Officially, we're gonna send
two receivers out to the left. Here are Nilsville Granton
(47:11):
Art Tong in the shotgun flank by two running backs.
Will send one of them emotional hand it off up
the middle. Nothing doing, and there is Tayler Galing coming in.
The ball comes out, but they're gonna mark him down
on forward progress. The whistle had blown. It'll be a
loss of a couple of yards. So back to the
twenty seven yard line, and it's second and twelve here
for Nilsville.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
Grantony galing there with a great form tackle to stack
up the runner behind the line runner.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
Was Rakestraw on the other a running back receiver combo,
and it's second and twelve here for Nilsville Granton with
three twenty three left to go. First quarter, Regius twenty
one and the Warriors of Nilsville Granton zero. Nilsville Granton
has struggled this season to score points. They've gotten a fat,
big lot right again. They're one and seven. Got to
(47:56):
win in their opening game, but it's gonna struggle since
since they've gotten to the Cloverbelt Conference. Play two receivers
of the right. I'll send a man in motion that
strangfeiled To'll throw it out to him on the right side.
Bobbles and catches it trying to get around the right edge.
At the twenty five he's ripped out near the original
line of scrimmage. Gonna be a two yard gain. Nice
job out there by Tayden right out to make the stop. Yeah,
(48:17):
he'll be actually gained just one, so it'll be third
and eleven here for Neilsville. Grant took down to the
two fifty six mark left to play here in the
first quarter, he went out of bounds to the clock
remain stopped in high school football, I need to get
to the thirty nine yard line for a first down,
ball to twenty eight. Hearts taking a long time there
(48:39):
at the sideline. I have a feeling no, and I
could be wrong here. I feel like our back judge
Paul Nelson is letting them, letting him have a little.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
Grace with that forty minute or forty second play clock.
I think it'd be understandable. But they come to the
line and his hands already up.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
Two receivers right, two left. The count is going arting,
takes a snap, looks over the middle. He's pressured, he's hit.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
He sacked.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
The ball, pops out looking for a scoop and score,
and Regis is going to fall on it inside the
ten yard line and down to the six the scoop
and score coming. I think the man who caused the
fumble was George Waltersdorf, and then Regis fell on it
back inside the ten yard line.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
It'll be first and goal for Regis.
Speaker 4 (49:23):
Oh, it's kind of ugly. That ball was bouncing around
out there for a while. Didn't seem like anybody could
quite corral it, but Regis. Anyway they get the football,
they'll take it. And now they're just I guess seven
yards now away from that goal line for what would
be the fourth time tonight.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
Twenty one to nothing Regis. They are indeed at the
seven yard line, two forty six left to play here
in quarter number one, twenty one nothing Regis. Three o'clock
starts and Regis will go with the inverted double wing
and it is starting quarterback Joey Brahmer under center. Man.
(50:01):
He will give it to the man around the left wing,
right up the gut. That's Braxton Tarbox. He is in
for the score and the Ramblers put it in from
seven yards out and that will put Reads just up
twenty seven and nothing with two forty one left to
go here in the quarter.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
They only needed one play. This is a good team.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
That's a good it's good barometer. Braxton Tarbox punching it in.
That is his second touchdown this season on the ground.
Speaker 4 (50:27):
Very efficient too, indeed.
Speaker 2 (50:29):
They are that That is that's Noah Schwartz video game
numbers right there. One play and you're in. That's a
way to hold Shroeder to kick kick us up wait
for it.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
It's good.
Speaker 2 (50:43):
Twenty eight nothing Ramblers with the league two forty one
left to play here in quarter number one. We're back
after this here on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (50:51):

Speaker 2 (51:32):
Just for you guys too, ey one left to play
here in this first quarter, twenty eight nothing Ramblers with
the lead over the Warriors. Speaking to Noah short stands
on's with it, you're listening to it here, I'm Moose
gone through one oh six point seven FM W atq
SHA Technical player Chip wo falls Monominee at iHeartRadio station, Dan,
what are you guys down there on the sideline. Another
seven yard touchdown run and Regis is looking really good. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (51:56):
One of the backups here for Regis number seventy, Kelen
Crow is on the sideline. He's getting looked at for
another knee injury here, but he looks me up and.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
Going hopefully just keeping everybody healthy. I think that's got
to be one of the hopes for the Ramblers here
tonight as a return, going to go back and be
taken down inside the ten yard line once again, just
trying to find some kind of spark there was Lucas
Strangfeld and the Ramblers will push them back all the
way to the ten yard.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
Line to start this drive.
Speaker 2 (52:31):
Well, Regis is well on the way here to a
nine to zero record, another undefeated season. It happened last
year until they ran into Grantsburg in the playoffs and
Level three lost after an undefeated season there.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
They had a similar situation the year before, losing to Edgar.
When they went to.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
Edgar, they'd had one loss that regular season though, and
just seems like it's like clockwork, and you almost set
your watch to it res doing what Regis does.
Speaker 4 (52:57):
Yeah, they they win games, you know that's that is
the name of the game.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Llsville grant and will start at their own eleven yard line,
two thirty four left to play here in the first
quarter and spread things out here? Will the Warriors to
receivers right two to left? Bake the handoff? Aren't I
going to try to run it up? The decent little
gain here up to the thirteen yard line, about a
two yard gain. Harton keeps it himself. The tackle made
(53:26):
by Michael leebamb And down at the bottom of the pile,
air will spend balls and it will be a two
yard gain. Second and about three or second and eight
excuse me for the Warriors to a wait to go
here in quarter number one, Heals will taking their sweet
time to take those plays in with the clock running.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
You don't hate that.
Speaker 2 (53:48):
But again, twenty eight to nothing, and when we get
to the second quarter, Ramblers need just one more score
to get a running clock for the rest of this
game at all likelihood. So there's been a dominant performance
already here from Regis. We're going to see I think
a lot of Ramblers in this game. Tonight, Hartung takes
a snap, the man in motion hands it off in
(54:09):
a little counterplay off the middle fifteen sixteen seventeen yard
line on that run from Strangfeld, and he's got on
a five six yard game there to bring it up
to the eighteen yard line. I could give him. I
give him five yards and now make it third and
about three.
Speaker 3 (54:27):
They need the twenty one for a first out.
Speaker 4 (54:29):
And Nilsville really hasn't been dealt a good hand at
any point in this game. I think they knew that coming,
especially on this drive backed up at their own ten,
but they've really been able to push forward get some
positive yards and you're trying to turn nothing into something.
Speaker 2 (54:44):
Guys on the field are kind of a mixture of
first and second team guys for Regis right now, a
couple of starters. Walter Storp is out there along with
a couple others, but mainly I think second team guys
right now for the Ramblers at the moment, tick under
a minute left to go in the first quarter, twenty
eight to nothing. Ramblers with the lead, two receivers right,
one left, now two to the left, and we get
a whistle a time out. I think they took a
(55:05):
little too long to get that play and they knew
that there was a play of game coming and so
Neilsville Granton will take the time out there and take
a pause. It's been game tomorrow in the Clover Belt.
Mondovie is taking on Durand Arkansas. It is always a
really great rivalry matchup. Those two schools are separated by
what about a fifteen minute drive somewhere in there, and
(55:26):
it should be a good one between those two and
a chance for Durand to pick up a seventh win
and maybe spoil Mondovie's chances of having at least one
home game to start this playoff season as well. And
it's interesting right now because now you know, the playoff
fields are set up by the computers, right, They're not
voted on. It's not one of those things where the
(55:47):
coaches all have to drive to a meeting somewhere and
you know, kind of pitch for their team and figure
all that out. It's been a big change in high
school football.
Speaker 3 (55:55):
And looking forward to watching that show Saturday morning.
Speaker 4 (55:57):
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how everything shaped out,
but you know, be changes probably for the better. Saves
a lot of gas money.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
It does. And you know Regis in years past may
have had to worry about, you know, whether they were
able to schedule on a Friday night here at Carson Park. One,
they don't need to worry. But I worry for two reasons.
One because obviously Memorial and North they're playing at their
own fields now. But also those two teams are not
going to be anywhere near the playoffs, so they're going
to have this field to themselves. It's parting back to
(56:26):
pass Rose at right side, catch made across the twenty.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
It's a first down.
Speaker 2 (56:29):
It's the second first down of the game for Neilsville
Grand they had that long pass earlier in the game
that got them and they'll get a catch there across
the middle, and that is Callen Ham and he'll get
it up to the twenty six yard line for about
an eight yard game in a first down, twenty eight nothing, Ramblers,
thirty seconds left in the first quarter, clock ticking. I
(56:51):
think they're gonna have to run one more play. Here
are the Warriors.
Speaker 4 (56:56):
We've talked about nils Field taking a while to get
their plays and with how tongue in we talked about
it coming into this game. Heart tongue is of course
not their regular starter, and I think that might have
something to do with it. A little bit of inexperience
running the mechanics of the office.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
Hand went in the air by the back judge at
about the twelve second mark, so they will have to
run a play. But now he's not counting, and he's
taking forever to count, and we get to the one
zero mark. We are not going to get a delay
a game. That is not how math works.
Speaker 4 (57:22):
But okay, of.
Speaker 2 (57:23):
Course, all right now, no penalty. It'll just be a
first and ten from Meilsville Grant and when we come
back with the start of the second quarter twenty eight,
nothing reaches with the league. We'll be back right after
this on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (57:36):

It's always a fantastic day at Colfax Chevrolet's You're.
Speaker 1 (58:12):
Home for high school football Moose Country one oh six
point seven and.
Speaker 2 (58:17):
We welcome you back in here too. Carson Park. First
and ten coming up for Neilsville Grant and against Regis.
It's twenty eight to nothing. Regis with the lead over
Nilsville Granton and puts and Noah Schwartz with you. Noah,
this has been domination by Regis. A little bit of
glimmer here through Neilsville Grant. They had a nice little
play to get a first down here. But this Rambler
(58:39):
defense is now sitting at about you know, against second,
second string guys in the game. And you would.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
Imagine that with that being the case, that Neilsville might
be able to do a little bit.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
But there's some guys trying to prove themselves up now
for the Ramblers.
Speaker 3 (58:53):
See how it all works out.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
It's hard to fakes a handoff, rolls right incomplete through
the hands of Cody Hart, and it'll be in complete.
Second and ten. Nice little play, little play action left.
He went right on the pass in the flat. Not
sure how much heart would have been able to get,
but it looked like he would have had a positive gain.
Speaker 3 (59:08):
He just dropped it though it's second and tent.
Speaker 4 (59:10):
Yeah, it looked like space. But I think even hard
will tell you that's one that he should have had.
And I think that he's going to be eager to
find his next opportunity because of.
Speaker 2 (59:19):
That second intent at their own twenty six yard line
here for Neilsville, grant only three seconds coming off the
clock there on that incompletion. Again, this is a team
that likes to throw, and they are missing Andrew Hayzer
as well, who was their lead to quarterback, their senior
who had just under nine hundred yards passing on the
season before he was hurt. And he will send two
(59:41):
receivers right here Will Hartzon and takes a snap, looks right,
pumps now he wants to go deep over the top.
It's incomplete. It looked like the receiver and him might
not have been on the same page. It was an
en route for him, and he thought it was going
to be kind of a go route there and instead
he throws it over the top closest man there for
the Ramblers on that deflection, and so it'll be third
and ten.
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
And Nilsville well behind the sticks here, and you touched
on it a little bit. This is kind of what
we expected. Of course, an undefeated team in regis facing
off against a team coming into this one on what
is now a seven game losing streak, and it's just
a matter of keeping your head up on both sides.
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
So third and ten here for Neilsville Grant, and they've
run just seven seconds off this second quarter clock. Again,
if we just was able to hold them here and
then score one more time, we'll get the running clock
the rest of this game, SAMs scores and timeouts and
quarter breaks.
Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
And all that kind of thing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
How about a five receiver center, four to the right,
one to the left, empty backfield for Harttng.
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
He looks left the entire way.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
Throws that way. It's a complete through behind his receiver
there at Ham. I think he thought Ham was gonna
go out. Ham came in. And yet there's some clear miscommunications,
misunderstandings of where everybody's supposed to be, either on the
quarterback or the receiver side of the moment's fourth and ten.
Speaker 4 (01:00:54):
Yeah, I mean, it was an interesting setup formation, but
I really would have liked to see Nils Fiel to
a little bit more with that look.
Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
That's one of those Dan where it seems like again
just seems like the receivers and Harting are just not
on the same page down there.
Speaker 6 (01:01:07):
Yeah, and especially when you have a young not only
a young quarterback, but also a quarterback that hasn't seen
the field much this season, it's gonna be like that,
and that's going to be the challenge that Neilsville has
for the rest of this game. Down twenty eight to
nothing here and barring a running clock, this thing could
get ugly quick.
Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
It feels like Regis wants to block a punt time
and there's a high snap and they're coming into a
Labor does not get there.
Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
He had to pull up awkwardly there.
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
As the catch is received by Cisco, He's across the
fifty and in to forty five yard line into Neilsville
Grant territory about a eight yard return on the punt,
Labor was really close again, and then he had to
pull up and Mason McCoy actually kind of undercut him
there and they were trying to stap themselves from hitting
the kicker because they're not so close, but they knew
they weren't going to be able to block the kick.
Speaker 4 (01:01:52):
Yeah, they've been sending the house all night. And I'm
not a betting man, but I woulddict that we see
one tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
You'd imagine that Regis will keep at least a few
guys out there here before they get to the point
they want to get that running clock, and then I
think we're going to see a lot of ramblers get
into this game at the war have to play here
in the second quarter. Three receivers left, one right. DJ
Cooper is the quarterback. He will take the snap, look
out left, We'll throw it to Labor catch made forty
(01:02:23):
five forty near size, got blockers, gets around him initially,
then cuts it back at the thirty and he's still
on his feet in the twenty seven yard line area,
and then he's finally taken down to four white jerseys
to finally take him down. Noah, Labor shifty out on
the edge. He's a great defender, but they can utilize
him as a weapon, certainly on the offensive side of
the ball as well.
Speaker 4 (01:02:43):
Yeah, Labors showing off his ball skills there, and of
course that was all made possible thanks to a big
block by Tad Taden right out the wide receiver, opening
up that whole for him to get up field.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
That looked like he was going to gout of bounds
around like the thirty two to thirty one yard line,
and then he just cut it and made an extra
few yards out of its. Cooper goes in the shotgun
to three receivers to the right, one to the left,
ball in the near hashmark right till left they go.
Cooper rolls out to the right, looking deep downfield. Nobody
opened yet He'll go to the checkdown over the middle.
Le's boda catchmate it the twenty stayed upright across to
(01:03:17):
about the nineteen yard line before he's pushed back. Made
the first guy miss, but then he has tackled on
the play by Lucas Strangfeld, and he gets almost everything
and he's about about a yard or two short.
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Calling an eight yard game. Second and two here for regis.
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
Twenty eight nothing Regius with the lead ten thirty seven
left to go.
Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
Second quarter, the Ramblers in the red zone once again.
Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
And worth mentioning the rain who's come back. It's kind
of been intermittent, and it looks like it's lightning up
just as I say, Dan's loving it down there, aren't you. Dan.
Speaker 5 (01:03:50):
Yeah, it's getting a little rainy down here.
Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Now. He did not bring an umbrella with him, but
I think he's loving it down there. On the sideline
is Wheregis will come up with Cooper one receiver right,
one left and a high snap, gonna hand it off
up the middle. That's Helen trying to find some space
being ripped down kind of from the side.
Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
It'll be a one yard game.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
He needed two, though, bringing up third and one. Nice
job up the middle there for the defense for Neilsville
Grant and good tackle by James Sorenson, a couple others
as well, making.
Speaker 8 (01:04:18):
The stock getting them one.
Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Nine fifty to go. Second quarter, twenty eight nothing. Ramblers
lead it third and one from the Neilsville Grant eighteen
all right in the middle of the hash marks. And
as you said, Noah, with a rain coming down, this
might be run time here for reaches.
Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
Just don't take any risks.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Just run it up the gut, get your first down,
get your touchdown, get that running clock going one receiver
left one right here for Cooper. Hard Count takes it
and he's gonna throw looking over the middle of throw
the right side catch made inside the fifteen down near
the ten yard line. Just a quick little hit route
out on the right side, and the catch was made
by Breckon Forrester and he'll be a first down.
Speaker 4 (01:04:59):
Hey, Cooper did a great job on that play. Kept
his eyes to his left and turned right, fired, found
his open his open receiver for that completion. And it's
just routine, just like you drew it up in practice.
Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
Six yard game to the twelve yard line, first and
ten here for regis bringing a few new guys into
the game. Here, Mason Cisco, Mason McCoy also checking in
for the Ramblers. I think I saw Matt Paalasek also
checking in and they are back are the Ramblers to
the inverted double wing. McCoy is the tailback and then
(01:05:30):
inverted double wing.
Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
I have a feeling he's getting the ball here. I
don't know why, I just do.
Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
Now they're going to pitch it over the right wing,
cutting it up the left side. There's a good run
of the five to the end zone. The Ramblers score
it once again and if that is Palasek, I believe
it was. He's into the end zone. He took down
the umpire as well with him. Everybody's going into the
end zone. It's thirty four to nothing with Rageous with
the league, nice run up the gut and our umpire
(01:05:59):
also taken out on the play. He seems fine though.
That's Glenn Waterhouse, tough as nails. And now the extra point,
the important extra point to get to a running clock
is about to come here for Regis.
Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
So offense has been working well both before and after
this to let the extra point.
Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
Suroedder could take it once again. It is romer to hold,
always a little slick down there with the rain, and
this situation. Kick is up and the kick is good sneaking.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Through the air upright.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
It's thirty five to nothing Regis with the lead on
Neilsville Grant and eight forty two left to go second quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
We're back after this.
Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
You're on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
This is Friday Night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 11 (01:06:47):
For the last fifteen years, Affordable Dentures in Eau Claire
has helped over fifteen thousand patients seek a better life,
a life free to smile easily and without embarrassment, a
life free from the negative health effects associated with infected teeth.
Each year we help hundreds of patients freeing themselves from
the physical and mental trauma of a life limited by
poor oral health.
Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
If you are.
Speaker 11 (01:07:08):
Ready to move beyond the days of hiding your smile,
all affordable dentures for a free consultation seven one five
eighty five five one zero two zero.
Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
Your home for high school football Moose Country one oh
six point seven here.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Welcome back here to Carson Park. Thirty five nothing Ramblers
with the lead on Elsville Grant and eight forty two
left to go second quarter. That means that for uh,
but unless Neilsville Grant gets us to under thirty five,
we're gonna have a running clock for the rest of
this contest.
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
Here.
Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Remember we did have a thirty minute weather delay lightning delay,
so we are a little bit behind where you'd normally
be at eight twenty two in the evening on a
high school football night. But regardless, regis looking good once again.
Put punching it in this time by Matt Pallisek and
the Ramblers in good shape. Palisec from twelve yards out,
(01:08:02):
get that touchdown. He just has scored a touchdown on
all five of their drive. Schroeder's kick left side, that
one has a chance to sneak out of bounds at
Walt though, Well, he's so good on the kickoff of
cornering those kicks to a point where you just don't
know what to do as a returner. Do you grab it,
do you try to let it go to bounds? Do
you let it sneak through the end zone for the
(01:08:23):
twenty yard line which you don't want. He's just so
good at that and off of get it goes again.
Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
Yeah, and the returner for Neilsfield, you know, tried to
play it smart, didn't try and do too much there,
but he just could not avoid that touchback is, of
course a football. Mathematicians will call it an oblade spheroid.
It's kind of the shape of it, and that means
that when it bounces, nobody can predict which way it's
(01:08:50):
gonna go. It could go forward, backward, either side. It
just depends on the spin.
Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
And there's super roles that have been won and loss
based on those dimensions games at every level.
Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Two receivers right to left here for Neilsville Grant and
Harting throws it out left side catch made at the
twenty five.
Speaker 4 (01:09:06):
Good little move made.
Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
Up to the twenty eight yard line.
Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Tackle made after Cody hart makes the initial move about
an eight yard gain. A nice job there is.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Tackle was made.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
By Brody Tarbucks. Seven thirty eight left to go, second quarter.
Speaker 4 (01:09:21):
It was a nice little curl route there by Heart
found the soft spot and the zone settled down. Put
his hands up and he was able to bring that
pass in clean.
Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Land once again. Regis trying to dig in on defense here.
Second and two for Neilsfield Rent Harting in the shotgun.
He's got two receivers right, two to the left on
the far hashmark left to right. Second and two from
the twenty eight. Hartching back to pass, rows out right
side catch made at the thirty. Trying to make a
move and he will lunch and I think he got
(01:09:52):
the first down to Rakestraw. So I looked like he
was gonna be wrapped up for a maybe a no gain,
maybe not quite get to the sticks in the He
made a little move at the sideline and kind of
dove across the thirty to the thirty one.
Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
For a first out, I was close, but Rakestraw showing
off his shiftiness and was able to find some space
and create some yardage out of them.
Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
So first down at the thirty one yard line, six
forty four left to play here in the second quarter. Again,
the clock will run unless we get timeouts or scores
at this point. Yeah, now it is Wasville Grant and
breaking the huddle again taking their sweet time. Two receivers left,
two to the right here once again near hashmark now
(01:10:34):
here for Hartson. Kean Hartung was three of sixteen coming
into this game, and he's throwing the wall. Well there's
another slant route, and this one's thrown behind the tender
Gerstever Cody hart at the high school level, those slant routes,
you know, you see him in the in professional in
college football, and they look as that one's incomplete, second
and ten. They look easy, right, They look like these
easy plays, and they you se him at high school
(01:10:55):
level and you realize just how hard it is to
get that timing right.
Speaker 3 (01:10:58):
And that was the case on that play.
Speaker 4 (01:11:00):
Yeah, it was a hard one. It looked like quarterbacks
always try and throw towards one of the shoulders, trying
to aim for the front shoulder. You hit the back
shoulder a heart and it was just behind him. But
it's really a hard route to run at any level.
And if you haven't played football, go out to find
a field with some friends of yours and you'll find
out just how hard it is to connect on one
(01:11:20):
of those plants.
Speaker 2 (01:11:22):
Second and tent here from the thirty one as Neilsville
Granton in the shotgun with Hartzung again, two receivers left
to right, five twenties nine to go, a little backward pass.
I don't think that's going to be incomplete. Oh they're
going to call it incomplete. I thought that was a
backward pass and they just let that one go. Was
scooped up off the turf by leuchter Hunt. But again,
(01:11:42):
that was one of those kind of weird ones there.
It's third and ten. It was really really close to
being a backward pass. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
I can't speak to the angle here where on the
other side of the fifty as opposed to where that
ball was, But to me it looked I guess what
you would call perpendicular, but.
Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
Yeah, yeah, kind of music city miracles type type thing there.
Speaker 4 (01:12:03):
Right, I wasn't even born yet.
Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
I still you and I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:12:06):
Not sure that ball went forward or backward, but it
was close. Third and ten. Now here for Neilsville Granton
for forty five to go. In the second thirty five zip,
Regis the clock running.
Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
Three receivers out.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
To the left here for Hartung and he will take
the snap, throws it over the middle. Catch made at
the thirty five to the forty should have first down
yard a year across the forty five up near the
forty seven yard line, goes the tailback and Lucas Strangfeld
and he's got the first down up to the forty
seven to sixteen yard game.
Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
Strangfeld saw that Regis was giving them a whole lot
of room in the middle of the field. He saw it,
he took advantage of it, and he gets Nielsville and
who set it down.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Nice play there. That was the quick witter really a
slant route, just a little quick go route. And yeah,
Regis big cushion there, not trying to get beat over
the top. Three receivers left for Hartung again looking over
the middle, throws it up and incomplete sales that one
for Rakestraw over the top. Not a whole lot of ramblers, really,
in the vicinity there it was Ben Strope who was
probably the closest to it, but not really an opportunity
(01:13:08):
for a pick there. Second and ten from their own
forty seven here for Neilsville Granton. No two minute time
out here in high school, so you've got two timeouts
left if Neilsville Granton wants to stop this clock before
the end of the half. But that becomes an issue
now with three thirty five left, and again the running
clock that we're already on, it's thirty five nothing ramblers.
Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw them use the
sidelines more to get out of bounds.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
Receivers that right, nobody out to the left. Hartson looked
to throw. Then pump throws it over the middle incomplete. Again,
there is just no time for him to throw. He
can't pump ake.
Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
He can't play action.
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Because if he does that, there's a black jersey right
in his face and it was there and he had
to get rid of it. Over the middle. There was
nobody home. Third and ten here for Neilsville Grennon. At
the forty seven and again the clock's still to one
hundred three minutes. There's no opportunity here for Nilsville Grant
(01:14:07):
and they're really get much going.
Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
Regis has had five drives.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
They've all resulted in touchdowns tonight, and again not the
you know, not the typical suspects, the usual suspects Strom
the touchdown thawin with the touchdown we saw the sembling
big man touchdown Brax and Tarbox probably the only kind
of regular getting a touchdown tonight for the Ramblers, it
is back to pass his heart on. Here comes the
pressure throws it over the middle. It is incomplete. About
(01:14:34):
two different Ramblers who had a chance at it. The
man who had probably the best chance at it was
Matt Pallisk. Again it kind of hit off of his
ankles over the middle. Fourth and ten and I mean,
you gotta go for it this situation, right' I don't
see any other way to do it.
Speaker 4 (01:14:47):
Yeah, I'm sure Palisek wants another chance of that football.
But if you're nils Phil, I would be shocked if
they don't try and throw something deeper downfield here.
Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
Yeah, fourth and ten from their own forty seven. You
need to get to the forty three of Regis. One
fifty five to go. Also becomes a question of whether
Regis wants to try to get a score their own
before the end of the half, but they're gonna not
have a whole lot of time to do it with
that running clock.
Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
We're down to one forty.
Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
Three and ticking left here in the first down. That's
two receivers right two left, ball near hashbart Hartung in
the shotgun again. He needs the forty three of Regis
takes the snap, looks left slant route, it is caught.
That's the first down across the forty up near the
thirty nine yard line. Good catch by Cody Heart. The
slant route has worked. Palseck came up and made that tackle,
(01:15:35):
but not before he gets the first down to the
thirty nine yard line.
Speaker 4 (01:15:38):
This Nilsville offense has struggled, but on third and fourth
downs when it's mattered, especially on this drive, they've found
a way to come through and move the sticks.
Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
Fourteen yard game paleal check on the tackle. We had
a nice jot there by Nielsville Grant. And now they
might think about using those timeouts to stop the clock.
At some point. They probably want one more first down
before they take some shots at the end zone. Three
receivers to the left back to Pasco's hertzong. He looks
over the top. It is up and incomplete. In another
one that was just thrown too deep trying to find
(01:16:09):
the running back straying feil. We get a whistle and
a timeout I think taken here by Nils will grant
to stop the pot. Forty six seconds remain thirty five nothing.
Ramblers with the lead over the Warriors, we take thirty seconds.
We'll be back right after this here on your home
for high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:16:24):

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
Home for high school football Moose Country one six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
Thirty five nothing regis with the lead over nils Will
Grant forty six seconds left here in the second quarter,
Neilsville taking a time out to stop the running clock.
Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
Peekndutes to Noah Shorts with the dan Zon's down on
the field.
Speaker 2 (01:17:15):
You know, we've seen a lot of incompletions here the
last few minutes. Dan, I'd imagine the rain having something
to do with it. How's it doing now? It looks
like it's let up a bit.
Speaker 5 (01:17:23):
It has led up a bit. In fact, it's almost
completely clear out here.
Speaker 6 (01:17:26):
Maybe a few droplets here and there, but that doesn't
mean the field has made it any dry or that
doesn't mean the field has.
Speaker 5 (01:17:32):
Gotten any dryer.
Speaker 6 (01:17:33):
Though, still a hard time to be planting and trying
to even if the ball hits the ground, it's a it's.
Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
A scrumb arching back to pass launches this one near
side up and it is incomplete out of mounds.
Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
Was landing rakes.
Speaker 2 (01:17:46):
Ro I tried the toe tap, but it looked like
Release's heels, if not his entire foot, were on the
white stripe on the near side. Good Idea tried to
play his do his best Chris Carter motion there on
the sideline, but he couldn't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:57):
It's in complete.
Speaker 4 (01:17:58):
Third and ten, Yeah, it just fading a little bit
too far towards the boundary there and could not remain
in the field of play.
Speaker 2 (01:18:05):
Three receivers in the right again, the clock is running.
The only fifteen seconds left ur in the quarter. That's
up an incomplete. You gotta take a time out. The
whistles here, and yeah, they got to take a time
out to stop the clock. So nine seconds remaining here
in the second quarter, thirty five nothing Ramblers, and yeah,
they know they've got to take shots because the second
you snap the ball, the clock just starts running again
and you're in trouble, that's for sure. So they will
(01:18:28):
take their final time out, and basically you have one
play now there's there's no other opportunity because it doesn't
matter if it's a complete or out of bounds. Will
be at the halftime whistle. So thirty five nothing Ramblers
hit the lead.
Speaker 4 (01:18:41):
I understand that it is a high school game, and
high school kickers, you know, do not have the legs
that we see in college football in the NFL, especially
these days. But I wonder if Neilsville, especially you know
at the end of the half, you know you're not
giving Regis the ball back. I wonder if they might
say that they might take the jackdell Reo approach, say, oh, yeah,
(01:19:01):
you know, it'd be about I don't know, what would
it be on trying to do the math here.
Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
This would be about a fifty six yard I don't
think it's happening.
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
Maybe there's a good row, I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
Pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Could you drop kick it here? Maybe I had a
little dropkick action.
Speaker 4 (01:19:17):
Maybe what the heck I mean, didn't Jack del Rio.
It's a like a seventy four yarder once?
Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
Is it a free kick? Maybe it was a free
kick that we tried. You're it's very possible. I'd imagine
they're going to try to launch just one of the
end zone three receivers, so the right one out to
the left.
Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
They're gonna fling it out to the left.
Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
It's incomplete off the fingertips here of Mason leuchterhand and uh,
that's gonna take us to the end of the half.
As a clock runs sound, they had no time outside
thirty five. Nothing reads with the lead on Neilsville Granton,
and so we head to the halftime locker room for
a fifteen minute halftime here as well. Know your thoughts.
I mean, kind of what we expected coming into this game.
(01:19:52):
Regis just looks like they're trying to kind of, you know,
tool up for the playoffs. They're just trying to kind
of figure out what they want to do, if there's
any little wrinkles they want to put into their playoff run.
Speaker 3 (01:20:03):
This starts next week.
Speaker 4 (01:20:04):
Yeah, we just playing safe, playing confident. We're seeing them
run more of a traditional offense rather than their inverted
double wing look. And meanwhile for Nilsville, they're just playing
for pride at this.
Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Point, Dan, your thoughts. Down on the sideline again dominant
from Regis. You can tell from the size to speed,
all that kind of thing and unimagined that it's pretty
a noticeable down there on the sideline.
Speaker 5 (01:20:26):
I mean absolutely.
Speaker 6 (01:20:27):
I mean, if you look at the difference between the
two the offensive and defensive lines, when they're out there
matched up on the field, it's quite literally inches, if not.
Speaker 5 (01:20:35):
Almost a foot, almost a foot of.
Speaker 6 (01:20:38):
Difference and just masked alone. But also if you look
on the sidelines, it is, and even if you look
at the rosters too, it's just completely it is.
Speaker 5 (01:20:46):
Almost like Regis has them doubled.
Speaker 6 (01:20:50):
Neilsville obviously having dealt with so many injuries throughout this season,
lost their quarterback right before the final game of the season.
Speaker 5 (01:20:57):
It's just gonna be about finding the rhythm right now.
Speaker 6 (01:21:00):
Against the second team squad and maybe they can end
the season off with a touchdown, and especially against a
hard Regius team. No matter which level they have out there,
whether it's the backups, whether it's the.
Speaker 5 (01:21:10):
Third stringers, this is still Regis.
Speaker 6 (01:21:12):
This is a hard team to score against, no matter
who you're going up against.
Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
All right, appreciate that, Dan, I thought. I heard Pat
Hammond hop on and say there's going to be a
shorter halftime than normal three minute halftime and then a
three minute warm up period. So we're only gonna get
a three minute halftime and then a three minute warm up,
and that's what the officials are trying to tell everybody
up in the booth and set that there. So we
are going to have just six minutes. So I tell
you what, Dan Price, let's take a five minute breaker.
We're gona take a five minute break and then we'll
(01:21:36):
come back with the second half. It's thirty five to nothing.
Reads with the lead on the Neilsville Grant Warriors will
be back in five minutes.
Speaker 3 (01:21:43):
We'll bring you the second.
Speaker 2 (01:21:43):
Half right after this here on your Home for High
School Football, the.
Speaker 1 (01:21:49):
Halftime Show with Pete Canuts in his next This is
Friday Night Lights on Moose Country one oh six point seven.
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:22:03):
Welcome back here to Carson Park. We had a short
halftime as we had that thirty thirty minute weather delay,
and the Ramblers and the Nilsville Granton Warriors about ready
to get underway here for the second half again at
thirty five nothing lead for regis over Nilsville Granton and
the Warriors who get the ball to start the second half,
and again abbreviated halftime because we had that thirty minute
(01:22:25):
weather delay from about what seven twenty three ish to
seven fifty three ish somewhere in there, so we are
just abbreviate the halftime and get things going. Pat Hammond
was all over that at halftime as well. Peekouts and
Noah Shorts with you again. Dan Price is back in studio.
Make sure you head over to our Moose Country website
(01:22:45):
and check out the online scoreboard. Dan does a great
job updating that each week as well, get all the
YAK games and all the games when we're out the
area in high school football should be a fun one,
should be a good weekend. Like we said, tomorrow night,
it'll be Cold Facts versus Spring Valley here on Moose Country.
Noah and Dan, we'll have the call that one. I'll
(01:23:06):
be over on eight to eighty bringing you a Friday
night WI a C game. And I don't want to
get started on why that's happening and how upset I
am about it, But nonetheless it is. It's Stout versus
Whitewater over on news Chalk WMQ the newly ranked QW
Stout Blue Dove. So a top twenty five match up
here on a Friday night, which should be a lot.
Speaker 4 (01:23:24):
Of fun between those two squads. Looking forward to that,
it'll be fun. I'm excited for Dan to be back
in Cold Fact.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
You're excited for Blue Gold Hockey. You got your Blue
Gold Hockey add on. What is it a week from Saturday?
The first game?
Speaker 4 (01:23:37):
Right? Yeah? I think it's the seventh. I could be wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:23:40):
That was the twenty fifth. Aren't they playing somebody in dubuqe.
Aren't they playing Dubuka?
Speaker 4 (01:23:43):
Yeah it is Dubuk.
Speaker 3 (01:23:45):
Is that an exhibition?
Speaker 4 (01:23:46):
It's on the schedules, on the schedule.
Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
But I thought I saw that today.
Speaker 4 (01:23:50):
You know, I've been hearing good, good things about the team.
You know, a lot of skilled players, a lot of
new players coming in to join nat loan.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
They're just saying, that's a sweet hockey hat.
Speaker 4 (01:23:59):
I want one, all right, you want this one?
Speaker 2 (01:24:01):
I mean no, I mean, if you're giving it away,
I guess yeah, I mean, can you sign it for me?
Speaker 4 (01:24:05):
Yeah? Yeah, sure, all right?
Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
Fair enough?
Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Thirty five Ramblers with the lead as they will move
right to left and it will be the Warriors left
to right here on your radio dialon at home on
the Rambler Sports Network here as well, and fun to
bring it to you there. No no if it'll be
again on the Rambler Sports Network. We may or may
not have again playoff football for you. Just stay tuned
to the Rambler website Regiscatholic Schools dot com for updates there,
(01:24:31):
and of course the YouTube page and all that good
stuff as well.
Speaker 3 (01:24:33):
Got a wobbling line drive.
Speaker 2 (01:24:35):
Kick that is going to be scooped up at about
the six yard line by Rakestraw. He'll run it out
left of the ten and it'll be pushed out of
bounds by Noah Labor onto the warning track and left
field of the football or the baseball stadium there as well.
Eleven eight and ticking because we have running clock again
here in the third quarter, thirty five to nothing, Regius leads.
Speaker 4 (01:24:54):
And Rakestraw was really just looking for any kind of
space you could find on that return and he ran
out of room before he could find it.
Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
And kind of a chilly night. We're in the high fifties.
Not terrible right for this time of year in October,
but obviously the lightning and the storm, very small storm
that moved through earlier. Not not the best of weather conditions,
but certainly not the worst of weather conditions as well.
We could be looking at a lot worse at this
point in October as well.
Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
There's no snow.
Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
I'll say, all you gotta do, what's the old joke.
All you have to do is find a Minnesota and
somebody from the Twin Cities from the Halloween of nineteen
ninety one and the blizzard that happened on Halloween as
well as there's a catch out of the backfield, moving
to the right side across the fifteen and wrapped up
pushed out of bounds goes Cody hard as he's flung down,
and we're going to see a lot of new Ramblers
(01:25:44):
into this game. That tackle got made out on the edge,
I believed by Johnny Joels was and it'll be about
a four yard game. Second down coming up here for Neilsville.
Grant the touchdowns in this game.
Speaker 3 (01:25:58):
Brady Strom at the ninth eight mark of the first quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
Then Derwin catching a nineteen yard touchdown pass at seven
to eleven of the first and we saw that sembling
the big man six yard touchdown run at four minute
mark of the first two forty one left in the
first Braxton Tarbox seven yards out and the palal Check
twelve yard touchdown running the second quarter makes it thirty
five nothing pass out left side catch made at the
seventeen and ridden down goes Rake Straw, so he's got
(01:26:24):
the first down out on that edge up to the
twenty three maybe the twenty four yard line. That'll be
an eight yard game in the first down and a
good job thereby the Warriors just kind of take what
the Ramblers were giving first and ten coming up here
for Neilsville grants. Again, Warriors are in no hurry to
(01:26:53):
come to the line. Two receivers out to the left.
Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
I'll part me three out there.
Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
I'm bunched up on that far sideline with the ball
in the far hash mark.
Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
But instead they'll swing it out right.
Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Just trying to find space out here for luchterhand and
he will get it across the twenty five fighting for yards,
so the twenty six yard line. A nice job in
the open field there by the Ramblers. Yeah, Brandon Smisky
junior making the stop about a three yard game second
and seven.
Speaker 4 (01:27:22):
A good job by this Regis defense, but still a
good job by Nilsfield in order to you know, get
things a little bit closer to the line. Turn turned
it into second and manageable.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Mentioned that Spring Valley Colefax game coming up tomorrow night,
Spring Valley four and four on the season, trying to
get to that above five hundred mark, make sure they're
in the playoffs and good to go. Cole FAC's good
for that first win. Trying to get their ow to
go tomorrow night. It should be exciting here on Moose Country.
Throw out left side income a little too strong there
(01:27:53):
for strang Fell again, they're just trying to get him
in space, right. I think that Nilsville Grant and says,
why you know, you don't need to throw it over
the mid Let's just overload one side, get somebody open
in space with just one, maybe two defenders on them,
and see if they can make a move and make
something happen.
Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
A third and seven is about to come up.
Speaker 4 (01:28:10):
And talking about that Colefax team that you mentioned before,
Dan and I did some research last week and we've
found out that the last time that Colefax won a
game Dan Zones was on the rost.
Speaker 2 (01:28:21):
Oh boy, that's Oaklaner North Husky losing streak level right there?
They end that long was it fifty some game losing
streak they had for a while for I remember, right, Oh,
massive hit on that shot and Heartung is down and hit,
I mean he took it looked like a pretty clean hit,
but it was a big hit on that play by
(01:28:42):
Braden Smisky.
Speaker 3 (01:28:43):
The pass was incomplete.
Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
There is a flag downfield in the area of maybe
a defensive older pass interference, so we're going to have
to sort that out. But now Hartung is down and
again there is not a lot of other options from
quarterback position here. For Nielsville. You got Marcus Leuchterhand who's
had what four passes this season? And Jackson Shrewth who's
(01:29:10):
had four as well. He's the freshman and is available tonight.
I am told there is a flag though downfield, so
this instead of fourth and seven, I think we might
be having. This might be a first down here for
Nilsville Grant and I think the hope right now as
well is that their quarterback has just had the wind
knocked out of them. Let's here, let's listen in to
Pat Hammond. First, well, he puts ten yards, Its gonna
(01:29:37):
be a first dog when we start. Indeed, it will
be when we start. Is a ten yard penalty and
hearttung is up and that I mean it does look
like just kind of the way he's walking off, doesn't
look like a lower body thing.
Speaker 3 (01:29:54):
You get the feeling like it could be.
Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
Again that kind of just win getting knocked Autio with
how hard he got hit, ball's gonna move up to
the thirty six yard line for a first down. Dan,
could you feel that impact down there on the field.
I mean, that was a heck of a hit that
came in there from Smisky.
Speaker 6 (01:30:11):
Yeah, I mean talk about a leveling hit, and that's
the thing that And it looked like he had just
maybe gotten the wind knocked out of him. Good to
not back out there right now. Instead they have shoot
out there. But he's gonna just need a second. It
didn't look like he got hit in any vital spots,
so he should be okay to come back, but they
might just close him out for this game.
Speaker 5 (01:30:30):
With seven forty four to go.
Speaker 2 (01:30:31):
Yeah, Truth is the quarterback. He's gonna keep it himself,
running right to the thirty five forty staying up right
and getting spun down to the fifty. I'm about to
have from the freshman quarterback on the fifty yards a
fourteen yard game. Nice little scamper. There was seven thirty
left to go here in the Third Regius League. Thirty
five nothing in a first down kat A.
Speaker 4 (01:30:49):
Good way for Truth to start things off. Of course,
wearing that number twelve, you think of guys like Aaron Rodgers,
of course, Tom Brady, Joe Namath, good quarterback number dan.
Speaker 3 (01:30:58):
It looks like the rains starting kick up again. Is
that the case?
Speaker 6 (01:31:02):
Unfortunately, so it is raining once again. Here, so we
might be seeing a little bit more of a ground
and pound game as they have their new quarterback in there.
Who even though it's any given Friday and you want
your backups to be ready, if you haven't had a
lot of game experience, as Hardtung has been mainly the
primary backup, you're not going to be as on time
with your receivers.
Speaker 2 (01:31:22):
We'll see if the timing does work out. Truth will
take the snap, but throw it quickly. That should have
been intercepted and it wasn't a little slant route there,
and that is exactly what Dan was just talking about,
as Strangfeld was the intended receiver and that just bouncing
off the arms of the Ramblers defenders. Two of them
in fact, had a chance at it incomplete second and tent.
Speaker 4 (01:31:41):
All right, So placement he kind of has to work
on that, but there was a lot of zip on that.
Speaker 2 (01:31:46):
Guys, freend impressed. I'll tell you what I mean. The
future could be bright here, right, you get a few
more guys out for the team next year, just keep
building and never know what will happen next season for
this Warrior team. Lock is running six thirteen to go.
Third quarter, It's second and ten from the fifty to
thirty five to nothing. Ramblers two receivers right, two lefts
(01:32:09):
and Truth is the quarterback.
Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
Shreth takes a snap, looks over the middle.
Speaker 2 (01:32:12):
He'll fling it quickly, catch made, and then he slips
going backwards. There was rake straw. They're gonna give him,
She'll say four progress. They're gonna just mark where he
was down because nobody touched him. He went down on
his own at the forty eight two yard gain. It's
third and eight. Trainers are going over to look at
hards on. You under with how hard he went down,
(01:32:32):
if they might do kind of a concussion check or
something like that. On I'm hopefully is okay, but man,
he took that big hit. Sas trainers run across the
field and break the huddle.
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
Five thirty to go. Here in the third quarter, Ramblers
up thirty five nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:32:48):
Truth on a third and eight, Regis is showing a
seven man front, looking like they're going to bring a blitz,
and they will.
Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
Everybody coming.
Speaker 2 (01:32:55):
They throw it over the milk, catch made and inside
the forty that's a first down to the thirty eight
yard line, and once again our uppire goes down as well,
Glenn Waterhouse has been part of the play to night
twice as they ran him right over. But a good
catch made by Strangfeld, and that is a first down
on a twelve yard game.
Speaker 4 (01:33:13):
A lot of times when you see a seven man
front defensively, it's going to be a simulated pressure. They're
going to have guys drop off into coverage. Regis did
not do that that time. They sent everybody. They sent
the kitchen sink over a truth, but he showed a
lot of maturity for a freshman Quarterback's only thrown four
passes coming into this game, and he was able to
complete that one and get a big first down.
Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
Yeah, impressive again. The arm strength very good for a
freshman for sure. Three receivers out to the left, he
looks to launch just what he does up deep and
it is in complete, almost intercepted, intended down the far sideline,
poor landon Rakestraw rather and the Ramblers aren't able to
come up with it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:53):
That was Breckon Forster who was a man who almost not.
Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
Came down with it. Incomplete, second and tent at the
Regis thirty eight four twenty left to play here in
the third quarter, Ramblers up thirty five to nothing and
second and ten here for the Warriors of Neilsville Grant
trying to find something, trying to find something with their
(01:34:17):
freshman quarterback to stop this running clock as well. He
get it under thirty five and they'll do that. Three
receivers out to left will fling it quickly over the
middle thirty five yard line, catch made, and then a
quick cut and down into thirty four.
Speaker 3 (01:34:28):
Maybe the thirty three goes Cody Hart.
Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
It's about half of what they need. They're to the
thirty three yard line. He needs the twenty eight for
a first down. Bring up third and five.
Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
Ra heteus sent pressure on that play again, and uh,
it looked like Truth the freshman quarterback kind of shortened
up his arm motion on that one. Maybe not the
most fundamentally sound on that play, but they don't ask how.
They ask how many and it looked like five yards there.
Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Feel a little bit more energy down there with shrewth
That quarterback will go down to Dan after this snap
and see if he's feeling the same thing.
Speaker 3 (01:34:59):
Just feels like that up here in the booth as well.
Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
Three receivers out to the right ball in middle Ashmark
Truth looking over the middle, still looking, still looking, and
to launch this one deep over the top. It's up
and it is bobbled and incomplete, went through two ramblers
hands and a receiver's hands.
Speaker 3 (01:35:12):
That was hard.
Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
It was intended for, but not there on the play,
and there's a couple of different Ramblers who made the stop.
Torster I believe again and Cisco were there on the
step again. Maybe a more stronger arm and just more
energy from the freshmen down there, Dan, Yeah, and.
Speaker 6 (01:35:29):
Not only that, the blocking has been getting better for
Nilsville too throughout this fight.
Speaker 5 (01:35:34):
Throughout this drive, really, I.
Speaker 6 (01:35:36):
Mean it looked like lark Sung had held on to
it a little bit too long. But now with their
new quarterback in there, he's been absolutely slinging that ball.
Speaker 5 (01:35:44):
And also the temple has been faster all right.
Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
Fourth and five, Truth will throw it over the middle.
Speaker 3 (01:35:48):
It's throw it behind his man.
Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
It's incomplete, through it behind strangfelt that it was intended
for and that will turn it over on downs. And
the first and only drive so far the second half
was a pretty decent one there for Neilsville, but it
ends up in a turnover on downs at the Rambler
thirty three yard line and the Regis Ramblers takeover.
Speaker 4 (01:36:06):
And thanks to that running clock, nearly a ten minute drive.
I think it was about nine to forty five, depending
on how you count it. For Neilsville certainly showing some
promise for the next couple of years here, but it's
not doing them a whole lot of good tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
So Regis, we'll have the ball. We'll see who all
comes out on the offensive side. It is the inverted
double wing, and I think it's Michael Michael Olson.
Speaker 3 (01:36:31):
I'll part of me.
Speaker 2 (01:36:32):
Jacob Bramer now is under center. Now bounce it out
right side, turn it on the jets at the thirty
five to forty A little stiff arm there up to
the forty two yard line, goes Brody Stern. The sophomore
went thirty seven to go thirty quarter of Regis up
thirty five nothing, and it looks like we've got a warrior.
Speaker 3 (01:36:48):
Down back at the.
Speaker 2 (01:36:50):
Thirty seven yard line and they will stop the clock.
Take a look at him on the block. Good run
though on the edge here for and he ends up
with eight yards.
Speaker 4 (01:37:02):
Boys, good job there at eight yards. I think I'm
right in saying that's his first carry eight yards per carrying.
Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
Out bad final match that seems about on average for
what the Ramblers typically do.
Speaker 8 (01:37:14):
October twenty third.
Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
And so, and they're taking a look at the cross
country Warrior down and see who it was with them.
Look like they're ready once he gets up with the
play already in Unity, I've seen some guys starting to
get hurt here for Neilsville Grant. I mean they had
what what do we count twenty four I think players
(01:37:37):
that were suited up before this game. And and you're
starting to get down to that twenty mark and you
start getting under twenty and there's there's problems. There's problems
with just twenty two, twenty four whatever you got, but
now you're really in some bad shape.
Speaker 4 (01:37:56):
And uh not not in football, but I've played on
some of those teams in high school with well numbers,
and I can tell you it really just complicates the game.
Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
Oh that's unfortunate because it is Lucas Strangfeld, the junior
running back and he is not able to put any weight.
Speaker 3 (01:38:14):
On that right leg.
Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
And just losing another skill player, right a guy who
is pivotal to this team. We get it's the last game,
but just a heck of a way to go out
second and eight here for Regis. Pat Hammond is not
ready to start this up yet. I don't know why.
Everybody Okay, here, here's the umpire who's running up, getting
(01:38:40):
ready to go. He's been knocked down twice. Looks like
he's limping a little bit too. Everybody's worse for the
wear here tonight and verted up a wing here for
Regis and they will give it on the counter right
to left. That's a first down forty five up to
the fifty maybe the forty nine yard line of counter
from right to left after the fake hando and a
(01:39:01):
nice job as the handoff went to Breckon Forster. It's
a first down for Regis up to the fifty.
Speaker 4 (01:39:06):
A good job to just keep this ball moving, keep
these chains moving, and keep the clock moving here for Regions.
Speaker 2 (01:39:11):
Yeahp thirty five nothing. They will took under a minute.
They will only need to run one more play here
in this quarter. With the running clock, I would imagine
first down in ten here for Regis despite the four
on the down marker the far sideline, as it is
a delayed handoff up the gut across the forty five
and down and that should.
Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
Be the last play. I would imagine.
Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
Those marking down markers will folliot.
Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
Johnny Joels was the man on the run. It's a
five yard game. Five second and five, and let's see
if the Ramblers do run a play here, they'll bring
in Isaac Helen in.
Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
Are you gonna do say into the game as well.
Speaker 8 (01:39:55):
Second and five for the Ramblers or forty five.
Speaker 2 (01:40:02):
Snap taking. Helen gets the run, counters up the gut.
Annie stays up right down to the forty one yard line.
Looked like he was hit for about only a one
r two yard game, but Isaac Hellen just kept turning
the feet down of the forty Why don't we reach.
Speaker 3 (01:40:17):
The end of the third quarter?
Speaker 2 (01:40:18):
So a third and one coming up for regis at
the forty one of Meilsville Grant. We'll start the fourth
quarter with the Ramblers up thirty five to nothing. Right
after this here on your home, that's more high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:40:29):
This is Friday night, lice on Moose Country, one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 15 (01:40:34):
Are you thinking about buying a new Apple, mac iPad
or iPhone or maybe you just need help with what
you have?
Speaker 5 (01:40:40):

Speaker 1 (01:41:04):
It's your home for high school football. Moose Country one
O six plus seven.
Speaker 4 (01:41:09):
Okay, I did welcome back everybody, Noah Schwartz and Pete
Canuts and here Pete has delegated the play by play
duties here to me, and so I will try my
hardest not to let your folks down.
Speaker 2 (01:41:19):
It was a quick decision, but we made it. So
that's a it's a good thing.
Speaker 4 (01:41:23):
Old thirty five seconds of hemming and hauling, but we're
ready to go twelve minutes right on the clock here
for the fourth quarter. And of course Regis leading meals
Bill by a score of thirty five. Put me on
the spot here for this. It's gonna be tougher. It's
got both teams with the second teams.
Speaker 2 (01:41:39):
And one of my favorite shows, Noah is West Wing
and right before Martin Jean goes out to do his
debate right as the president, they cut his tie off
and all of a sudden he freaks out. So this
is my cutting your time moment here, So.
Speaker 4 (01:41:52):
Go for it, President Bartlin. And that shows only of
a great debate for forwards. And I can tell you
he is he's a better man than I, or should
I say Josh. They will be third down and one
yard to go right from the forty one yard line
here for Regis. They go on the inverted double wing
as it looks like that's Olsen under center here and
(01:42:14):
our friend the referees.
Speaker 2 (01:42:17):
Pat's got something to talk about here with everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
Just a little bit of a delay. Clock's not running yet,
so there he goes. He gives the whistle and we're
ready to go. So Olsen is under center here on
third and one, will be a quick pitch. There's the
first down and more nifty move there. It looks like
it's frant Rocko Rocco ten to five touchdown Regis. He
dives across the goal line the freshman running back on
(01:42:43):
a great touchdown there on third and one.
Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
Just a great move around the edgejets that great kind
of you know, just around the edge play that they
move from the left to the right side and you
just got to get those black jerseys blocking down field,
and right about at that thirty yard line, he turned
on the jets on the near side and he just
powered past everybody.
Speaker 4 (01:43:01):
Great run for him, Eh, huge run there. Forty one
yard touchdown for Regis. That puts them up. You guessed
at forty one to nothing. Here penning the extra point
coming from the right leg of Jack Trader. Jeff your
prom down to hold. He's down on one knee trying
to make this a forty two to nothing game. Snap
(01:43:24):
is good, the hold is down, Schroeder's kick is up,
and the signal is that he had nailed it forty
two nothing. It's eleven minutes and forty four seconds left,
and we'll be right back after this. You're on your
home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:43:37):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 16 (01:43:42):
Do you drive down the road wishing you'd break an
axle on your trailer just so you have an excuse
to get a new one, Hey.
Speaker 2 (01:43:48):
That's dangerous, be quick wishing.

It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
O six point seven.
Speaker 4 (01:44:18):
Welcome back, everybody. Eleven minutes and forty four seconds left
to play here in the fourth quarter, all regis is
the Ramblers leading Nilsville Granton by a score of forty
two to nothing. My name is Noah Schwartz, alongside Pete
Knutson and Dan Zon's is on the field here for us,
right here on Moose Country one O six point seven
FM and iHeartRadio. And in fact, we're past the nine
(01:44:39):
o'clock hour. We'll get you a station. ID you're listening
to high school football on Moose Country one O six
point seven FM, w A t Q choutek o'claire tip
of Ball's Menominee on iHeartRadio station. Okay, so it looks
like Dan Zones has something to say down there, Dan,
what have you got for us?
Speaker 6 (01:44:58):
That was a great That was a great run there
by Rockalf just completely blocked perfectly by Regis. But not
only that Rocket was able to find his way along
that sideline. I mean he absolutely tightrope that as they
kick this ball off here.
Speaker 4 (01:45:12):
Thank you Dan. That ball fielded by nils Field at
about the ten up to the twenty looks like that
is Kestraw and on the carry out of bounds just
past the twenty five yard line. Clock continues to run
thanks to that big, regious lead, of course, in forty
two to nothing, eleven minutes and twenty eight seconds left
to go in the fourth. So pete here is nils
Field comes out of the field. What are you expecting
(01:45:34):
here from the Warriors?
Speaker 2 (01:45:35):
Well, I mean we saw a lot of good energy
from Jackson's truth and so I'd imagine that this is
another one like you know, just let him cook, let
him go out there and throw the ball, put it
out there. The problem is you had that kind of
big injury to a guy that they've been thrown a
lot to in strength of a lot of those slants,
of those quick out routes. We're trying to get him
in space, so he's not out there. It looks like
at the moment so now you got to find somebody
(01:45:57):
else to kind of get into the receiving game to
try getting the end zone.
Speaker 4 (01:46:00):
Today, first and ten from the twenty five, Neilsville goes
five wide. It's a little dump off complete to buchster Han.
Luchter Hahn makes a move thirty he's up walking the tightrope,
as Dan said, up past the thirty five and nearly
to the forty that's going to be. Are they gonna
call that enough for a first down? And yes it
will be. That's a Nilsville first down.
Speaker 2 (01:46:22):
It's a nice run there as well, and yeah that
runs after catch it again, we just talked about it.
Speaker 3 (01:46:27):
But this is a pretty simple game plan.
Speaker 2 (01:46:28):
It's trying to get Regis to bite on all the
overload to one side of the field, and then you're
trying to get some space and try to get as
few black jerseys around a guy on the other side,
on the weak side.
Speaker 3 (01:46:38):
Of the field as you can.
Speaker 2 (01:46:39):
And you know, they've at times had some success like
they did on that play with first down coming up.
Speaker 4 (01:46:44):
First and ten from their own thirty nine for neils Bill,
it looks like back in the game is heart tongue
Hart Tongue's got a man complete over the middle. That'll
be Caden Stray, the senior wide receiver. He's got another
first down as Neilsville's got the offense moving.
Speaker 2 (01:46:58):
Cayden's Strive is a guy at the beginning of the
game we were told was gonna wear number fifty one,
but he might change to eighty five at some point.
I guess on the offensive side of the ball. And
they brought him in, probably because of Strangfeld going down
and a nice play, nice catch over the middle from
the tall senior receiver.
Speaker 4 (01:47:16):
Not a bad way to get involved on offense. It's
good to see Hardtung back in the game here for Nilsville.
So that you've got the Warriors first and ten up
to the Regis forty one yard line on the field,
looks more like the forty nine minutes and twenty six
seconds left to go here in the fourth, once again,
it will be three wide receivers toward the far side
(01:47:37):
or toward the top of your screen if you're watching
with us. But throw complete over the middle. That's Corey
hart Hard up past the thirty five to about the
thirty two before he is taken down. As that'll bring
up second and short.
Speaker 2 (01:47:48):
Hardzong was trying to get rid of that ball real
quickly there because Hogan was bearing down on him. And
again we know what happened with Heartzung again taking that
massive hick in the wind knocked out of him. I
think you said it, You know that you're happy to
see him there, because I think the worry might have
been of a potential concussion, that kind of thing with
the way he went down. So the fact he's out
there is good and looks like we've got a stoppage.
Speaker 3 (01:48:08):
But the clock is not stopping.
Speaker 4 (01:48:10):
Ye clock still counting eight forty eight. Now it is
stopped and keeping an eye on things now. I'm sure
heart tug so whistles is Neilsville trying to break the huddle.
Speaker 2 (01:48:21):
I'm for a moment I thought they're calling. Are they
calling for the trainer for the umpire? Is it the
Empire coming over that wants maybe a little bit of
a medical attention. He was limping over to Pat Hammond
lenn Waterhouse, and I think they're looking at him. I
think he's the guy who's he's having some problems kind
(01:48:44):
of getting around. He twisted something or something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:48:48):
He has been involved in a lot of contact over
the first three quarters of this game. Maybe not a
surprise them.
Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
So they're gonna have to shift some guys around here,
and I think they're going to bring the back judge
in to be more of an umpire slash back judge.
Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
You're going to hover somewhere.
Speaker 2 (01:49:05):
In between those positions and keep your line judging, your
headline judge, and roll with that. I guess way he's
lifting his foot, it almost feels like kind of an
achilles something like that, right, just so twisted ankle something
down there, and hopefully he's okay, Hopefully he's got it.
Speaker 4 (01:49:22):
Looks like we are ready to go here is it
will be second and short, second and two here eight
forty eight left to go. Of course, Regis leading Neilsville
by a score of forty two to nothing. Here in
the fourth quarter, our tongue is in the shotgun. Four
wide receivers, two on each side and one back in
the backfield. Back to pass throwing far side that's intercepted,
(01:49:45):
intercepted by a Regis. Looks like that is Grant Rocco
Roco still on his feet up to the forty five,
up to the forty seven.
Speaker 2 (01:49:55):
Believe that is Grant Rocco on that hick feet Grant
Rocco again, his brother Xander, one of the legends of
Regis football when he was here with the the you know,
the Tate brothers and all those kind of guys as well,
and boy Grant doing a great job there to get
that interception.
Speaker 3 (01:50:12):
And man looked like he was taken down.
Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
He literally just kept fighting like his brother I'm sure
would with that big size of his and just fighting
through the tackle. Got an extra twenty yards and really
really fun if you're a Regis fan to see the
freshman and the sophomores getting an opportunity in an in
a regular season game and doing some cool things here
in the second half.
Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
And we've seen a lot of dangerous passes from Nilsville.
It kind of felt like the Ramblers defense was due
Is for just past seven forty seven and counting left
to go in the in the game, Regis will take
over first and ten at their own forty seven, still
leading Nilsville forty two to nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
So right now, no back judge for the officiating cruise.
Still the back judge coming into be the umpire with
the umpire still on the sideline, getting looked at inverted
double wing.
Speaker 4 (01:50:54):
It'll be a quick toss this time it'll be ooh,
looked down for the name, didn't quite see what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:51:02):
Setl a check had it and then he got a
helmet put right on the ball. Ball popped out Neilsville
grant and see who I might have once again been
stry who fell on it. But man, he got absolutely
lit up right at the line of scrimmage. Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:51:16):
Live by the turnover, dive by the turnover. Nilsville gets
another chance just about seven minutes left to play.
Speaker 2 (01:51:24):
This is where again you get some real valuable experience
if you're a freshman or sophomore right now, if you're
rageous right now, I know, when I'm in a varsity game,
what is it going to take? You know, what of
the hits feel like?
Speaker 3 (01:51:35):
How do I hold onto the ball when I get that?
Speaker 2 (01:51:37):
Because this is not the same you know feeling you
get when you're playing a JV or a freshman type
of game.
Speaker 3 (01:51:43):
You're getting hit a lot harder, at a lot bigger speed.
Speaker 4 (01:51:46):
I mean, first and ten from the regis forty four
here for Nilsville back to passes their quarterback heart Ton
looking over the middle, off the hands and incomplete. Heart
wanted it, but again missing on that back shoulder was
heart tongue and heart could not bring it down. Second down.
Speaker 2 (01:52:02):
I just tried to Brett Farv gunsling it up there
is what he did. And he didn't need to. He
just needed to kind of float it across the middle
and lead him and let him go with it, and
unfortunately for him, just threw it too hard.
Speaker 4 (01:52:13):
Maybe a little bit too much harm. But clock still
moves and they've still got a few more downs here.
Second and Tent.
Speaker 2 (01:52:19):
I hope har Time's playing the same thing with their
freshmen there. In truth, I hope they're playing pitching for
the baseball team there, because they've got they've got some
some cannons on them.
Speaker 4 (01:52:29):
Hey, good starting rotation there, Second and Tent. After the
incompletion hard tongue back to pass, looks left throws that way,
he's got a man that's strye and stry up past
the thirty first down and more for Neilsville, he's brought
down about the twenty seven yard.
Speaker 2 (01:52:43):
Line, striving a nice The slant route's worked a lot tonight, right,
It's been the slant route and then the little pop
pass into space. That's pretty much the only two plays
that Neilsville Grant has gotten positive yards from. But give
them credit, they've gotten those and while they might be
playing against the third stringers for Regis, they're making hay
with it.
Speaker 4 (01:53:00):
Hillsville inside the Regius thirty to the twenty eight yard
line here on first and ten, five minutes and nineteen
seconds left in the fourth in the fourth quarter. Is
that one is complete up to the twenty yard line
and another completion from Hardtung looks like once again at his.
Speaker 2 (01:53:18):
Stride, just try there and then again just a little
bobble on that catch, but he was able to stay
with it.
Speaker 3 (01:53:25):
Now you got the red.
Speaker 2 (01:53:26):
Zone and a chance to again. You're not gonna have
a chance unless you go for two to set the
running clock. But they've got an opportunity to at least
get a score on the board, which is something that's
been tough. Like we said, right, thirty three points they've
scored total in all the conference games in the clover
Belt this season.
Speaker 4 (01:53:40):
Second and two got options here as an offense is
hard tongue back to pass again, looks left, throws left.
That one is complete. He's got striya again and stry
is down to about the ten yard line as they
move the chains again, another first down for Nilsville.
Speaker 3 (01:53:55):
Yeah, Joels was the one made a tackle.
Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
And right now, I mean even at the linebacker spot,
Reach is laying back. Now all of a sudden, you
know you're gonna have the ten yard line. The field's
gonna get a lot shorter and a lot more compact,
and Regis doesn't have to stay.
Speaker 3 (01:54:07):
As far back.
Speaker 2 (01:54:08):
So now it's interesting, how are you gonna hit those
passes with a compact defense? Here as we get to
the ten yard line.
Speaker 4 (01:54:14):
Four minutes and eleven seconds and counting left to play,
here is Nilsville trying to get the goose egg off
of the board. I'll be hard Tongue all alone in
the backfield here, four wide receivers, two on either side
for Nilesville, looking right, stepping up, and he is in trouble.
Down he goes that is a sack. As Hard Tongue
will lose just a couple second down.
Speaker 2 (01:54:37):
I'm trying to see who got the tackle there. Sembling
still is not a sembling in the game yet. It's
Brody Duncan, the freshman came up and made a nice
job by him to hang with it. And again, like
we said, if you take one pump today, you you
pretty much you know that internal clock is going as
a quarterback and they've run out of time and that's
when Regis has taking advantage with the sacks.
Speaker 4 (01:54:58):
Hardtongue does a good job to minimize the loss. Just
a loss of three on the sack. Second and thirteen.
Hard Tongue in the shotgun again, looking left, throwing end zone.
That one's complete. It's a Nilsville touchdown. And who else
it's Cadence Strive. We've seen him well, we've called his
name plenty of times on this drive and he caps
it off with six points.
Speaker 2 (01:55:18):
Yeah, great play right over the middle, just found the
soft spot in the zone. You're sitting a second and
goal from the thirteen yard line. That's a great, great
play to get it all in one and Reis again
we thought again, get what did you say? You got?
Come pack and all of a sudden you went back
a few yards. Regis's defense got a little bit more
holes in it.
Speaker 4 (01:55:35):
And they made the play. So we'll look for the
pat here. Looks like that's land and Rakestraw out to
uh try and add this extra point here three sixteen
left to go. The snap is good, the kick is
up and through the uprights, bouncing in the bleachers there,
and so it will be a forty two to seven
ball game. Three sixteen left to play. Don't go anywhere
(01:55:59):
here on your home high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:56:02):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:56:38):
For high school football, Moose Country one oh six point seven.
Speaker 4 (01:56:42):
Welcome back everybody. Three point sixteen left to play and
Regis has given up their first touchdown of the of
the evening here, still holding on to a forty two
to seven lead here against Nilsville. Granted, hey, so Regis
well look to get the ball back and close this
one out. My name is Noah Schwartz, alongside the great
Pete Canutson and the incredible Dan Zohms down on the field.
(01:57:06):
Happy to be with you here tonight on the boost.
Speaker 2 (01:57:09):
I'd imagine that extra point means that neils Will Granton
is not going to try to stop this clock or
anything like that. Right if they try to go for two,
they'd go on under thirty five seconds and then get
prolonged this a little bit longer. So my guess is
here that Regis will run, you know, three four plays
somewhere in that range, and will probably with the running
clock ticked down and could have this s cupball game.
Speaker 3 (01:57:27):
Over it in just a few plays.
Speaker 4 (01:57:29):
It'd be nice to wrap up the regular season here
with a win for the Ramblers. The kick is away
from Heart's fielded at about the fifteen yard line, and
a knee is taken by the return man. Looks like
that was Noah Labor there for Regis.
Speaker 2 (01:57:46):
Yeah, the return guys. I don't know if Regis had
a second string return team because they had all their
kind of starters out there. Labor was there, Cisco was there,
and a few other guys, so maybe not practicing some
backups taking a kickoff, which was kind of interesting, And yeah,
I just don't want to you want to avoid all
the injuries, just taking knee and live to fights next
week in Level one.
Speaker 4 (01:58:06):
Looking forward to next week here for the playoffs. I'm
sure these Ramblers are just trying to get out of
this one healthy. They'll have it first and ten. The
ball is inside their own twenty first day, so it
looks like it's at about the eighteen yard line count
moving two and a half minutes left to play here
in the fourth.
Speaker 2 (01:58:23):
Yeah, the interesting thing for Regis will be right there,
the second ranked team in Division six in the state.
The problem is the first ranked team is Edgar, who's
also kind of in the regions. So the question becomes,
are they going to host two games? Are they going
to host three games here at Carson Park.
Speaker 3 (01:58:36):
That'll be what's going on.
Speaker 4 (01:58:37):
Something a little around the end here up past the
twenty for Regis on the carry as we like that
was Isaac heleand on the carry as he gets involved
in the game. Second and five, as we're inside two minutes, Jacob.
Speaker 2 (01:58:54):
Looks like Neilsvilla is going to call a time out. Okay,
so they do want to stop o'clock and get a
chance to get ball bank and you.
Speaker 4 (01:59:01):
Know, I don't hate that for Nilsville, trying to make
Regis earn it and you know, trying to go into
the offseason with a little bit of pride year for
the Warriors.
Speaker 3 (01:59:11):
And that might be something else about this.
Speaker 2 (01:59:13):
Maybe they want to get a player or two also
out there, miss Well and see if they can figure
out a way to you know, again, maybe get somebody
else in the game. They're given I think some hugs
and some handshakes to the seniors as well. So this
is kind of a curtain call for the fans and
the parents who've come from Nilsville Grant and so my guess.
Speaker 3 (01:59:32):
Is they're not going to take another time out. This
just looks like.
Speaker 2 (01:59:34):
A handshakes and hugs and again a lot of these
guys playing their last snap in a high school football uniform,
which is a pretty emotional moment and that's going to
happen for thousands of athletes across the SADA, Wisconsin, across.
Speaker 3 (01:59:47):
The country in the next week or two.
Speaker 4 (01:59:49):
But very classy gesture there by Nilsvild there for their
seniors on defense. Now second and five for Regis and
the rest of the pretty much academic Cooper under center
and that inverted double wing. It's a handoff and up
past the thirty is the ball carrier looks like that
is nail.
Speaker 2 (02:00:07):
Hurt always run from him, and it just moves the
chains and allows this clock to take it back down.
Speaker 3 (02:00:16):
So I mean, you're probably talking one.
Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
Or two more plays, likely two, that are needed here
to finish this game up.
Speaker 4 (02:00:22):
You talked about that Edgar team and a couple of
minutes ago. Of course, Dan and I saw Boysville end
their season against Edgar last season with a trip to
Camp Randall on the line. That is a program, but
I don't think anybody in the state takes lightly.
Speaker 2 (02:00:37):
No, they are really, really good. And so the question
becomes where do they get placed? Right if they get
placed away from regions, which they might because of the rankings,
because of those things, you know, can both teams get
home games by get three home games basically and then
meet in the what would be level four. But again
that's a long ways off, and we'll have to see
who gets where and who gets put where.
Speaker 4 (02:01:00):
I have to see is a kneel down takes place
just about a minute left to go. It looks like
Regis will have to kneel this one out one more time.
But this puts a fitting bow on the regular season
here for the Ramblers as they will reach that nine
and o mark undefeated season here for Regis and the
(02:01:20):
commitment to excellence that this program has shown as they
kneel it out again really on display here. The proof
is in the pudding, Pete.
Speaker 2 (02:01:27):
Yeah, puts Ryan Brenner up to one hundred and seventy
nine wins in.
Speaker 3 (02:01:31):
His coaching career and just thirty three losses.
Speaker 2 (02:01:34):
I should tell you funny about where his program and
his what he's developed here at openair, Regis is they
get to win forty two to seven yep.
Speaker 4 (02:01:43):
Clock winding down. The rest of this with formality is
the folks of you joining us on Regious Catholic Schools
dot com showing or rather seeing the handshake line between
these two teams and a grave way to end the
regular season. Any final thoughts here, Pete?
Speaker 2 (02:01:58):
Yeah, are we just we're just rolling the end of
the end is that we're doing talking about it.
Speaker 3 (02:02:02):
On the air?
Speaker 2 (02:02:02):
I yeah, that works well, yeah, I know. Yeah, Just
a great season for Regis and like we said, we
don't know, at least in terms of the video stream
if we'll be back up for the playoffs or not
trying to work out all those details with the WIA
and the fees and all those kind of things. And
we'll certainly look at that. I know that you'll be
looking forward to broadcasting the games with Dan whichever wherever
(02:02:23):
you end up going in Level one. You got one
more tomorrow night with that Spring Valley coopl Fax game.
But yeah, I mean this Regis team. Look, they've had
undefeated seasons before. This is one of those teams that
maybe doesn't have you know, the guy where you're looking
at him saying, this is a guy who's gonna go
play Division one football. But they got a lot of
really really good studs, right, Maybe not the all star,
(02:02:44):
superstar type of guy, but they've got a lot of
really good players, and they have a really good team atmosphere,
you know. And and so I think that's just a
matter of how much can this team stick together when
the going gets tough in the playoffs, can they figure
out a way to win level you know, when they
get to those later levels, If they're able to get there,
it's gonna be really interesting. But is a trip to
(02:03:05):
Madison in the possibility. I think it's very possible. But
there's gonna be lots of hurdles, and they're gonna have
to just say the course if they want to try
to get down to Can't Rantle again.
Speaker 4 (02:03:15):
Well, I have to see. Still, certainly a regular season
to be celebrated and a lot to look forward to
over the coming weeks here, especially next week of high
school football playoffs. We'll step aside. We will be back
with your postgame show right after this. You're on Moose
Country one O six point seven AFM, your home for

Speaker 1 (02:04:44):
It's your home for high school football. Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (02:04:49):
All right, welcome back once again here too. Carson Bark
will wrap things up pretty quickly. A forty two to
seven win for Regis over neils Goldgram, Poinson and Noah
short stands ons with the here tonight, Dan Price back
at Studio Noah. We've talked about this one again. Regis
putting it on Neilsville Grant Early. They scored twenty eight
points in the first quarter. It was not the usual suspects.
(02:05:12):
A lot of seniors in the game early and then
a lot of second third string guys late for Regis.
Shows the depth that shows they have a lot a
lot of great talent on this team. And now it's
a matter of what they can do in the playoffs,
and again it's a full team, it's a nine to
zero team. When you're go un defeated, you got to
celebrate that kind of thing because it means that you
can definitely have a chance to get down to Madison.
Speaker 4 (02:05:32):
Yeah, certainly a spectacular regular season as has become almost
the expectation here for Regis. It was a fun game
coming into this game. He had an undefeated team against
a team on a seven game losing streak in Neilsville,
and it was interesting. You kind of knew what to
expect coming in. It was interesting to see the Ramblers
kind of go to a more pass happy look, especially
(02:05:53):
in that first half, to try and spread the ball
out practice some things that maybe they hope they won't
eat over the coming weeks in the playoffs. But nice
to have them working and really just a confident and
well played win here for regionals.
Speaker 2 (02:06:09):
And Brady Strom put the first touchdown in from ten
yards out made it eight to nothing with the two
pointer with nine thirty eight left to go first quarter,
and Darywn touchdown pass from Brahmer from nineteen yards made
it fifteen to nothing. It was as sembling big man
touchdown run from six yards out making twenty one to nothing.
Speaker 3 (02:06:26):
Brax and Tarbox would have a seven.
Speaker 2 (02:06:27):
Yard touchdown run with two forty one left in the
first quarter to make it twenty eight nothing. Palachick put
it in in the second quarter to make it thirty
five nothing, and then the Roco touchdown made it forty
two to nothing in the third quarter, and then we
saw that late touchdown from Neils Will Grant to make
it forty two to seven. The summary of the scoring
here tomorrow night or tonight tomorrow night, it'll be Spring
Valley versus Colfax. You and Dan will be there in
(02:06:49):
Spring Valley trying to go above five hundred, and you
give himselfs a good chance in the playoffs to maybe
have a little bit better of a matchup and.
Speaker 3 (02:06:56):
See what they can do when they get there.
Speaker 4 (02:06:58):
Yeah, this Spring Valley team lost most of their starters
from last season. They've been a fun team to watch
as they've kind of rebuilt and you know already battled
back to five hundred, and it'll be nice to see them.
It'll also be nice to see Colefax trying to get
their first winning about five years.
Speaker 2 (02:07:13):
And you're going with Colefax's favorite Sun dans On, So
you've got a free meal coming. I'm sure there a
Noah as well, so that'll be exciting. And yeah, looking
forward to listening to that. And yeah, listen to you
guys down the stretch. Maybe we'll meet up again here
at some point, we'll see.
Speaker 4 (02:07:26):
Looking forward to it. Good luck on the Stout game tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (02:07:28):
Yeah, let's see what happens.
Speaker 2 (02:07:29):
Man. Oh my gosh, it's gonna be crazy. They win
that game and things start to get real, real, real,
real real really quickly. There you go, So we'll see
how it all goes down, all right, should be a
lot of fun tomorrow night. Yes, Stout versus White Water
over on eight and eighty again at seven o'clock there
in the Noah's game at seven as well here on
bos Country one oh six seven special thanks to all
those who made the broadcast possible. For Zaying and all
(02:07:51):
the folks here on Regis on the video side for
Dan Price back in the studio for Dan z On's
for Noah Schwartz. I'm peekadoots in your final score here
from Carson Park. It's the undefeated Regis Ramblers forty two,
the Yalesville Grant and Warriors seven Chris Connor.
Speaker 3 (02:08:04):
I'm round and third and coming for
