even then, you have to watchout for Berts and he is just an

Ramblers had a great job just callingit out and being aware of where it

across the forty two about the fortyone yard line before he is taken down

and he does have to come offfor a play. And it's a second
in about five here for the Wolves. Just started this game and people are
already hitting so hard their helmets arebreaking out here. Yeah, I mean
you can pull your best John Mannthere, Dan and say, at least
there's not a head in that helmet. It rolls out there. Get you
tell the strainer going here. He'sa second and about five for the Wolves.
They need to get to the fortysix and a half yard line for

a first down. Direct snap toBertzer. He's going to try to run
around the right edge. Got somedecent space tripped up. I think a
yard shore of the first down wasclose to the edge there. I believe
Tate got him on that tackle.It'll be third and one now here for

was Noah Terris who made that tackle. And third and one here for the

Wolves and the ends of the Ramblerscannot get washed down in those run plays.
That's their whole game plans. Beable to wash the ends make them
unreliable in this. You need tocontain and make sure that Bertzer, who
is a good runner around the edgethere, just cannot get outside one receiver
out to the left stretch. Snapto Allen. He's got the lead blocks
and he just runs over defenders acrossthe fifty up to the forty five yard

line, and that's that weight roomagain. Hoskets the tackle, but he
just kind of had to drag himdown. After a big game out to
the Reegs forty six yard line andthey moved the chains again. And boy,
really is kind of three four fiveyards on a cloud of dust,
isn't it? Oh? Yeah,for sure? And I mean Blake Allen,
he just does that to you.He will. He's a very quick
runner. However, he will lowerhis shoulder and he'll carry some bodies with

It. Reminds me a little bitof that cam Olsen and eau Claire North
too. We had the pleasure ofwatching all season as well. Powerful running
back certainly Allen again around left edge, He's tackled at about the forty and
falls forward to the thirty six yardline, Chase Coska filling it up this
time. But that's another seven yardgame to the thirty nine yard line.
Sets up second and very short,and as you have said, I believe

earlier, staying ahead of schedule,here are the Wolves. Oh yes they
are. And this is gonna bethe way that they run down on this
Ramblers defense is by having these long, long drives here. And so far
they've been just taking time off theclock, trying to win that possession game,
trying to tire out that Ramblers defense, and so far, I mean,
that's what they've been doing. Somany of these guys play both sides

of the ball. You wonder howthat affect the offensive side of the ball.
When Regis gets back out there,Allen trying to bounce it, he
does to the thirty five, hitsthe tackler at the thirty and then is
taken down near the twenty seven yardline. That's at least a twelve yard
game, maybe eleven when they finallymark it off, but a first down
there for the Wolves up to thetwenty seven with seven to twenty five left
to go first quarter, Regis eightand at Elmwood Plumb City, nothing but

they are driving, and those directsnaps are so hard to stop. As
a defensive lineman, you have toreally be aware of where that run is
going because half the time it's eithertoo Bertzer, it's gonna be the Blake
Allen, and half the times fromone side or another, and you have
to understand where that is and whereyour angle is. And right now the
Ramblers need to take a little bitbetter angles to be able to clog up
those holes and cause a little bitmore stoppage. This will be the direct

snap to Allen running right, getshit near the line, and this one
a little bit better job here byRegis. They get him down at the
twenty two yard line after about afive yard still a five yard game,
but they hit him closer to theline this time, and we'll see if
they can maybe push him back alittle bit. Rock go the man on
the stole, and Roco's been doingthat a lot this season too, just

with some great, great tackling outthere. While they haven't been able to
really close down and stop some gaps. They've been making great form tackles,
getting low as possible and just rippingthem down, and at some point that
will come to be an effective wayto stop them. Again, this is
going to be Burtzer trying to runleft around the edge. Now cuts it
at the twenty. Looks like he'sgot the first down. He reached the

ball out at the sixteen yard linewhen he was taken down by Kavasovich.
He gets the first down, butI don't think he really needed to reach
the ball out there, And Imean that's risking a fumble, which I
mean it feels like if we getany turnover in this game, that's going
to be massive. The way thesetwo teams are moving the ball right now,
Oh yeah, we could potentially seea forty forty game here. Who
knows, this could go into overtime, but this, this team right here,

this you cannot, absolutely cannot turnover the ball because they will make
you pay. The team that turnsover the ball first might be the team
to lose it out there. Yeah, I think you certainly could be right.
Just the way these first two driveshave looked. They are going to
fake a reverse and there's a greatjob in the backfield by the Ramblers to
get their Tate along with Kavasovich.We're in the backfield on the keeper for
Bertzer fake to reverse on the enda round. That's a loss of one

back to the sixteen yard line andbring up second and eleven. And that
was just great awareness there by EverettTate forty one total tackles the season and
a sec. He is not afraidgetting to the backfield. He read that
thing like a book and was ableto bring Bertzer down. And that's exactly
what you needed as a Rambler there. You needed to see them get one
solid stop behind the line of scrimmageand now you can push on from that

and hopefully can close down more ofthe gaps once again, Alan and Bertzer
will look to take the snap.Allen Righty's counters to the left now with
the ten, he's still he's draggingtacklers down inside the five yard line to
about the three. Looks like wherethey'll mark him, and that's about a
thirteen yard game. It's first andgoal now for the Wolves as they are

knocking on the door and Blake Allenis just so hard to stop out there
when he gets into the open field. He's just willing to drag anyone along
with him who wants to take aride, not even eating a fee,
not a ticket either. Yeah,we talked about again the leading rusher in
the dun Saint Croix coming in eventhough this is a team that finished third
in the league. As Allen runsright, he gets hitting the backfield,

reaches out, he's still on hisfeet, and he gets into the end
zone. You don't see that oftenfrom the Ramblers where they kind of quit
on the play. I think theythought that ball was going to be blown
dead for the backward progress basically beingpushed backwards, but the refs never blew
it dead. He kept the feetturning, bounces around the edge, and
it's now eight to six Ramblers leading. Yeah, that was just a great

job by Blake Allen to recognize thatthe play is not over until someone blows
a whistle, and that's exactly whathe did. He spun off of a
tackle where it really looked like theRamblers were just kind of reaching and hoping
that all right, maybe the playis dead at this point, but nope,
Lake Allen, with that awareness,rips right around and just cross right
in for a touchdown, Allen againaround the right edge, following blockers in

hits for the Ramblers, which weknow they can do. For Elmwood Plum
City. That was a ten play, seventy seven yard drive to six minutes
and thirty two seconds. Says,this kick is going to angle out of
bounds at the twenty seven yard line. Regis will be set up with good
field position here as they were ontheir first drive. But it really was

done, well, it was agreat idea by Brenner, though he absolutely
called it. He wanted his playmakersout there to have a chance at that

absolutely perfect call. And so farwe've seen some really great plays from these
skills, from the skill positions ofthe Ramblers. So we're tied at eight

and the winner of this game playsthe winner of the eder Glenn Was City
game Edgar leading eight nothing right now, four minutes up to go in the
first quarter. They're playing at homeagainst Glenwood City today. A late substitution

wing area. He's got a couplebut not many pushed backward there by the

the play up the gut. Lookedlike Mason Clair might have been in on

and you see him right there inthe middle of your screen. He's just
a sophomore Dan. Can you imaginebeing three ten and six foot three when
you wear what fifteen sixteen years old? That's crazy, that is insane,
and this guy's gonna be good fora long time. Yeah, Weisenberger pitches
here to Andrews, moving left toright, looking for a hole up.

to continue on in this playoffs.This team is looking like a well oiled

he doesn't have much out there.He makes something out of nothing though,

and gets taken down about the twentyseven yard line and a little slow on
that play, Parker Beakle, hekind of twisted his knee a bit as
he was tackling him. There.See him look back to the defensive formation.
Hopefully he's all right, but yeah, I definitely hate to see any
kind of injuries here. Looks likehe is going to go down and he
is upset about it. He wantsto keep playing. Yeah, well he

went down and then now he poundedhis fist like he doesn't want to be
down. But I mean, you'regonna understand the frustration. This is not
only are you getting to play ina playoff game, but you get to
go on the road and for elmwooPlum City, you're playing at a college
field. Is as coach Pertzer talkedabout, you get to play kind of
under the lights in this situation,and you know you want to be out
there as long as possible. AndI'm sure for Parker Beakle, he's pretty

upset about the situation right now.So there's an injury down on the field
here. Two to one left toplay. First quarter, we're tied at
eight. Regis has a second andseven coming up from the Elmwood Plum City
twenty seven yard line. Like wesaid, Edgar leading eight to nothing over
Glenwood City at last check. We'lltry to get you an update on that
Boyce fell clear late game as well. It's on the other side of the
bracket, but could be a potentialmatchup for one of these two teams if

We talk about this Regis team,and again the success that they've had,

this Elmwood Plum City team. Youknow, like I said, since they
merge as a school, they've neverwon a playoff game. But if you
go back aways to the Plum Citydays back before they had merged with Elmwood,
they had some success. In fact, they got all the way to
Level four back in twenty ten,lost to Catholics in the Division seven Level
four matchup there fourteen and nothing.So the Plumbwood City's had some success over

the years. They were eleven andeight over that time. Elmwood when they
were on their own had fifteen playoffappearances. The deepest they got was back
in nineteen ninety six they got toLevel three. But since these two teams
emerged and merge into the Wolves,they've been a good force. I know
you saw him quite a bit whenyou were playing at Colfax. This is
a community that really prides itself ontheir sports or athletics and you know,

being able to represent it. Ohyeah, definitely. And these these guys
go out there with a full onehundred percent of their heart. They want
to go out there and play.And as you saw with Peter Beachel,
he is just he absolutely did notwant to get off this field because these
guys love the sport so much andthey want to put one hundred percent of
themselves out there, and especially inthe playoffs where your team could potentially go

on to another game and have anotherchance of a longer season. All right,

Wolves on this drive, but itfeels like even just losing some yards and
maybe not converting early in this gamefeels like it's gonna be big. The
way both teams have moved the ballagain in that first quarter. Oh yeah,
and especially any kind of small mistakestoo. I mean they went backwards
a little bit startled. Then theyalso coughed up the football a little bit
ago and just had to land onit trying to make do whatever they can.

You cannot make a mistake against thisRambler team and expect to be able
to walk off from that, becausethis Regis team, they'll run back on
you and they will do exactly whatthey did on the last drive. So
if you're the Wolves here, youneed to pick up this third down Berts

gonna take it here right up thegut looking for the run. He doesn't

Lifto sometimes factors in on the offensiveline is a tight end and those kind

City team that can be obviously prettyyou know, not only are you down
here, you're against the higher seed, You're on the road. This is
a tough drive. And now you'vehad you know, two guys get hurt

they could have, and all ofa sudden things starting to stack up against

you bounce back from this. Canthis defense stifle this Ramblers offense that's been
almost like a hot knife through butterto start off this game, especially on
the rushing attack. I mean,they've had a couple of passing plays,
but they really haven't had the passThey've been able to really do whatever they
want on that rushing attack. Andit's gonna be about what the Wolves are
able to do to adjust and kindof tighten up around those edges. Man,

if they're gonna have to punt here, if they if they try to
go for it and turn it overhere, this is just gonna be an
easier walk away for the Ramblers.Just get right in and put this game
away early and you get it right. You don't obviously want to give the
ball back to Regis in any case, but I just don't know if there's
a way around this. Dylan Zellingerhad been the guy who had punted for
most of the season for the Wolves, and he's the one who's back average

is about thirty yards of punt.So again, this ball back inside the
twenty, they have to go thatright that route and Zellinger will be the
massic punt. Regis will get HarrisonHaas back to return, standing out about
it his own forty six yard line. It is Zellinger who takes the punt

of mister queues on their next offensivedrive, and they just haven't looked the
same since that first one. Sohere they go with the Allen carry on

run left and he's wrapped up inthe backfield for a big loss. What

you wonder if that match score bythe Wolves starting off this game kind of

then we saw in that first one. And this is a regious team.
I mean, this is a pride. What I've thought watching them this season
is the offense is good, butthe defense seems to me to be one
of the big things that they hangtheir head on. I mean, eighty
eight yards per game is what theygive up on the ground. So that
first drive just didn't compute for you. Those last two certainly have been much
more Regis like. As they areback to punt here, Regis looks like

they want to get a block andnow they will retreat back and allow a

gone to one single guy every singleany single drive. It's not the same

with the Plumwood City team because theyare able to just they're running mainly through
Allen for the most part. Butthis Ramblers offense has been gone through Costca,

making some big plays. And theneven on the even Weisenberger was running out

both these teams after that first half. Regis scores on all four of their
drives, leaving twenty eight to eighthere. Ian Andrews got into the M
zone twice on that drive. Butfor me, it was the big plays
that did it, and it wasall running plays. A forty one yard
touchdown run for me and Andrews forthe first touchdown, thirty two yard touchdown

from Brad Nowby for the second touchdown. Andrews then punches it in from a
yard out, but then the nexttouchdown three of the four touchdowns over thirty
yards a forty yard touchdown run fromChase Coska with about a minute oh nine
left to play. In that firsthalf, they broke off some big runs
against someone plumb city defense. Sothey did not seem to have the answer
on the defensive side. No,they did not, And even when they

did have some answers, it waslike almost two steps forward and then three
steps back half the time because theywould either bite themselves, they either shoot
themselves in the foot, or theywould allow a giantormous run like especially when
they use a technical term. Bythe way, that's true, yes that
is true. But they had chancesto make some stops against this rambler offense.

But this rambler offense was just absolutelyjust going at it out there.
I mean, almost every single drivejust spelt like they were always in flaw,
always in emotion. Even when theygot set back, even when they
had some miscues from time to time, they were able to kind of recuperate
and then find another way to breakoff a big run or find a big

pass to get enough for a firstdown. It's just it's hard to defend
against. It. Certainly is Edgarleading twenty two to nothing right now over
Glenwood City. By the way,tenh eight left to play here in the
first or in the third quarter ofthat game as well. We'll give you
some other scores once we get goinghere. But yeah, you talked about
it. I think the underrated parttoo, is just how well the Regis

Ramblers defense buckled down after that firstdrive, a rough first drive for them,
tackling, then all of a suddenthey turned it up and have really
stopped the Allen and Bertzer combination herefor most of that first half. So
we're just gonna kick things off rightto left, and here we go to
start the third quarter downfield. Itgoes. Allen takes it about the eleven

yard line between the hash mark,looking for a lane, now cuts it
left side across the twenty five andtackled near the twenty seven. Maybe the
twenty eight yard line as good coveragehere from the Ramblers. Tate was there
alongside Kavasovich, and well, atsome point it's got to get going here
for the Wolves. After a goodopening drive that went ten plays seventy seven

yards at end ended on an Allenthree yard touchdown run. They need to
get back to that quickly or elseit's going to be a long drive home
going west here tonight. Oh yeah, especially just how well they started this
game off. It looked like thisis going to be a shootout. But
team between these two teams a goodground and pound running, but just haven't

really shown it since. And nowthe ball is out here, Regis says
that they have it. The whistlewas late and it is Rage's ball.
Alan fell onto the back of atackler there, I think that was Kavasovich,
and he fell on top of somebodyon top of him was ripping the
ball out, and the line judgecame in right away and pointed Regi's ball
for stribe of the half and Registurns him over and just like that,

the Wolves hopes being dash and thatis apps. I mean that lets the
era out of any balloon that wasfilled up for the Wolves. Holy cow.
Yeah, imagine imagine having this verybeautiful halftime speech by a coach and

a great opportunity for the Ramblers.Put this game away, and right up

Regis moves the chains here to startthings up. Costa breaks it off,
gets hit hard by Allen. I'msure he's a little angry there after
what happened on that fumble. Ohyeah, absolutely, he's letting that all

That that was a big hit outup here. Holy cow, that guy

fight back, battle back in thiseven though they're down, even though their

he had a third and fourteen andhe doesn't even get back to the original
