Finational anthem here from Carson Parks,we get set for Regis versus Elmwood Plum
City here tonight. Well, theofficials for tonight's game will be James Cunningham
getting the referee duties. It'll beDylan Pronshinski, the umpire, Mark angel
Is the head line judge, theregular line judges Andrew Cryan Bull and the
(00:25):
back judge is Kirk Housett. Herefor the officiating crew today. The Wolves
will be clad in the white uniformswith black numbers, black pants and the
silver helmets. You see them there. And we talked a little bit about
the lineups. Heres brought to youby Worresgalla Plumbing and Heating. I'll tell
you what that Wolves team like.We said they've got some skilled players.
Dan. We talked a little bitabout Blake Allen, the senior running back,
(00:48):
this guy who led the dun SaintKroian rushing with thirteen hundred yards at
thirteen and twenty three yards and sixteentouchdowns on the season. You talked about
Regis spreading it out, and that'sgreat, right because you can do some
misdirection that sort of thing. Regisis gonna know who's getting the ball tonight.
It's gonna be a steady dose ofBlake Allen. Aiden Bitzer is the
quarterback or Bertzer, excuse me,the son of the head coach Mike Bertzer.
(01:10):
But still we know that it's gonnabe a steady dose of Blake Allen
here tonight. Oh yeah, definitely. I mean, this guy literally has
seven yards per carry. That's justunheard of in this league here, but
even then, you have to watchout for Berts and he is just an
absolute dual threat quarterback. While hehasn't had much passing yards, only one
hundred and twenty three touchdowns and interceptionon fifty seven percent completion percentage, he
(01:32):
has six hundred brushing yards which issecond on his team, five point six
yards per carrie and nine touchdowns,so he has no pushover. He will
make you pay if you take light, if you make him, if you
take lightly of him. Regis Ramblersintroduced as a team that wearing the Kelly
green uniforms tonight with white pants, black numbers outlined in white, and the
black helmets with the green. KellyGreen Regis are on the side of those
(01:56):
you Owen Weisenberger will lead the way, you'll see Brandon Alby as a tailback,
then a double wing, and thenhe'll see a bevy of different wing
backs. Chase Cosca and Everett Tablewill be two of those guys who factor
in. You've talked a little bitabout Ian Andrews. We saw Brandon Meyer
come on late in the season.Austin right Out's another one of those guys
who did as well. One ofthe things I'm a little bit we're not
surprised about. But guy we haven'tseen suit up in about a month,
(02:19):
a little over a month, isAlex Schula, one of their tight ends.
He's really good on the defensive sideof the ball. But boy,
you wonder if Brian Brenner pulls outthe bag of tricks early on here tonight
and tries to get the ball tohim through the air. We know onn
Weiserberger could throw it that way,and that might that might be something I
feel like we might see early onhere tonight. Oh yeah, I mean,
considering how big of a target AlexSchula is, I mean, six
foot five, one hundred and eightypounds and just an absolute beast of a
(02:42):
receiver back there at tight end.His stats don't jump off the page,
but that's because he's missed some time. Four receptions, but one hundred and
forty five yards off those four receptions, which is crazy to see. You
expect that he's gonna get a lotof work in today as well as Alex
Biggy too. He leads the teamin seven receptions at one hundred thirty seven
yards on a team high three touchdownsthrough the air playoff football level one.
(03:05):
We are ready to go here fromCarson Park. Could be Victor Placenza Ccia
rather who is ready to kick offhere for the Wolves and level one here
we go downfield. It goes overthe far side, that one picked up
by Tate over on that side.Parmy Andrews Rather, he's got a seam
to the thirty. He's up tothe forty and taken down near the forty
four yard line as he and Andrewsgets the return for the Ramblers and gets
(03:28):
the Ramblers good field position to startwith eleven fifty three to go here in
the first quarter. And I gottasay that's some good blocking already by this
Ramblers team. They're looking like they'reshot out of a cannon out there.
I mean, just looking at someof the players that they have on their
team right now. I already sawa big play from number fifty four Colton
Rockaw who absolutely pushed his guy allthe way, all the way behind where
(03:50):
the kicker was. And I mean, if you get pushed behind the kicker,
you just have to give up onthat play. That's the weight room
coming in. Now. The acesformation here is why is it? Beck
Throwzier Tate with the catch across theforty five and taking down into Wool's territory
to the forty one yard line.A big game to start things off.
Fifteen yards in a first down herefor Regis on their first play, and
(04:12):
Everett's Tate. While he's a prettygood rusher, he is also a very
good receiving back seven receptions eighty fouryards in the air this year, as
well as five touchdowns too. Asolid receiver he's been this season. Now,
the inverted double wing here for RegisCostca Wright and I believe Tate on
the left wing. Albie is atailback. Weisenberger will give it over on
that left side and a big runhere near side that's Andrews. He's gonna
(04:34):
go twenty ten to five touchdown Rattlers, and just like that, Regis is
in for a score two plays intothe game. Eleven twenty left to go,
first quarter, forty one yard touchdownrun for Ian Andrews is eighth of
the season, six nothing Ramblers, and that is a way to stamp your
name on this game right away.Great job by the blocking up front to
(04:57):
not only get a little funnel goingIan Andrews for run behind, but then
to keep pushing and keep walking downfieldeven when there was no one in front
of them. They just went forthe next guy up and that's exactly what
you need if you're gonna be ableto come away with a win today.
They'll go for two as they typicallydo on their first possession here, and
sure enough, right into the endzone goes ever at eight on the pitch
(05:18):
in the inverted double wing eight nothingranges eleven twenty left to go, first
quarter. We'll be back right afterthis here on the Ramblers Sports Network.
This is so clear high school footballon Classic Rock ninety two one. Let's
use a football metaphor in your home. You're at the quarterback, now,
(05:38):
who would you want your front linepass? Falt No, the fearsome form

eight. Your home for the Ramblersis Classic Rock ninety two to one and
welcome back in here too, CarsonPark a two play fifty six yard drive
that gets the Ramblers into the endzone, a pass, a run,
a touchdown and Dan a great starthere for Regis. We'll talk about it
(06:23):
in a second. Let's get youthe kickoff here for the Ramblers. He'll
kick off. I'm going left toright, Elwood, Plum City needing a
response after a tough defensive start tothis game. This is going to go
over the head of Allen and hedoes scoop it up at the ten yard
line, now up to the twenty. He is hin and taken down at
about the twenty three yard line.Nice job in in coverage rather there for
(06:45):
the Ramblers. Believe that was PrestonOlsen who got the tackle, and it
will be the twenty three yard lineis where the Wolves will take over.
But what a first drive, Ohyeah, for sure. And also a
great job by Blake Allen actually beable to grab that. That was her
round to be able to receive thatkick. But a great job by the
Ramblers to completely just swarm up theentire kick return and just could not allow
(07:09):
anything past that. Twenty five AidenBertzer in the shotgun here, he's got
Allen to his left, one receiverout to the right, So direct snap
to Allen. Allen running right, twenty five cunning back at the thirty and
tripped up near the thirty two yardline. Yeah, the tackle made there
by Harrison Haas, I do believe, well, one of the secondary guys.
And that's an eight yard game secondand two, And that's just what
(07:30):
they're gonna do all game long. They know for a fact that they're gonna
be running a lot of this gameaway. But you can't. You gotta
be careful because this team will throwtoo. They have some playmakers on the
outside every once in a while, but you know, you look at the
numbers, thirteen point three yards passingper game, they don't do it often.
Here is the quarterback and Aiden Bertzerrunning left. He did not get
it with both keep her there andagain they do that kind of it's almost
(07:53):
like a wishbone style set up backthere. They can direct snap to Bertzer,
they can direct snap to Allen, and then they just kind of ru
with it. He only gets oneyard on that play though. Yeah,
and especially being on that defensive line, you have to be able to be
aware of where who is getting thatsnap, if they're running, if they're
passing, and especially in a wishboneoffense kind of like this one, you
have to really have your mind aboutyourself there. And that time, the
Ramblers had a great job just callingit out and being aware of where it
(08:18):
was going. Direct snap to Allenrunning right. Boy, that's a powerful
run for the first down across thethirty five up to the thirty six yard
line as he was stopped by AlexBurdick. Ten oh six left to go,
first quarter, eight nothing Ramblers, and it's a first down here for
the Wolves and so far not reallyallowing any big runs from Blake Allen,
who's had quite a few of thoseover against some of the other teams that
(08:41):
they've faced off against. But rightnow they're just doing a good job of
just containing them, not allowing anybig rushes to get outside. Allen takes
that snap, running right, ahelmet pops off somebody there. He gets
across the forty two about the fortyone yard line before he is taken down
by Lucas Kavasovic, and that Ithink a broken helmet for Brydon Albee,
(09:03):
and he does have to come offfor a play. And it's a second
in about five here for the Wolves. Just started this game and people are
already hitting so hard their helmets arebreaking out here. Yeah, I mean
you can pull your best John Mannthere, Dan and say, at least
there's not a head in that helmet. It rolls out there. Get you
tell the strainer going here. He'sa second and about five for the Wolves.
They need to get to the fortysix and a half yard line for
(09:24):
a first down. Direct snap toBertzer. He's going to try to run
around the right edge. Got somedecent space tripped up. I think a
yard shore of the first down wasclose to the edge there. I believe
Tate got him on that tackle. It'll be third and one now here for
the Wolves. In fact, notTate out on the edge here. It
was Noah Terris who made that tackle. And third and one here for the
(09:45):
Wolves and the ends of the Ramblerscannot get washed down in those run plays.
That's their whole game plans. Beable to wash the ends make them
unreliable in this. You need tocontain and make sure that Bertzer, who
is a good runner around the edgethere, just cannot get outside one receiver
out to the left stretch. Snapto Allen. He's got the lead blocks
and he just runs over defenders acrossthe fifty up to the forty five yard
(10:09):
line, and that's that weight roomagain. Hoskets the tackle, but he
just kind of had to drag himdown. After a big game out to
the Reegs forty six yard line andthey moved the chains again. And boy,
really is kind of three four fiveyards on a cloud of dust,
isn't it? Oh? Yeah, for sure? And I mean Blake Allen,
he just does that to you.He will. He's a very quick
runner. However, he will lowerhis shoulder and he'll carry some bodies with
(10:30):
It. Reminds me a little bitof that cam Olsen and eau Claire North
too. We had the pleasure ofwatching all season as well. Powerful running
back certainly Allen again around left edge, He's tackled at about the forty and
falls forward to the thirty six yardline, Chase Coska filling it up this
time. But that's another seven yardgame to the thirty nine yard line.
Sets up second and very short, and as you have said, I believe
(10:52):
earlier, staying ahead of schedule, here are the Wolves. Oh yes they
are. And this is gonna bethe way that they run down on this
Ramblers defense is by having these long, long drives here. And so far
they've been just taking time off theclock, trying to win that possession game,
trying to tire out that Ramblers defense, and so far, I mean,
that's what they've been doing. Somany of these guys play both sides
(11:13):
of the ball. You wonder howthat affect the offensive side of the ball.
When Regis gets back out there,Allen trying to bounce it, he
does to the thirty five, hitsthe tackler at the thirty and then is
taken down near the twenty seven yardline. That's at least a twelve yard
game, maybe eleven when they finallymark it off, but a first down
there for the Wolves up to thetwenty seven with seven to twenty five left
to go first quarter, Regis eightand at Elmwood Plumb City, nothing but
(11:37):
they are driving, and those directsnaps are so hard to stop. As
a defensive lineman, you have toreally be aware of where that run is
going because half the time it's eithertoo Bertzer, it's gonna be the Blake
Allen, and half the times fromone side or another, and you have
to understand where that is and whereyour angle is. And right now the
Ramblers need to take a little bitbetter angles to be able to clog up
those holes and cause a little bitmore stoppage. This will be the direct
(12:01):
snap to Allen running right, getshit near the line, and this one
a little bit better job here byRegis. They get him down at the
twenty two yard line after about afive yard still a five yard game,
but they hit him closer to theline this time, and we'll see if
they can maybe push him back alittle bit. Rock go the man on
the stole, and Roco's been doingthat a lot this season too, just
(12:22):
with some great, great tackling outthere. While they haven't been able to
really close down and stop some gaps. They've been making great form tackles,
getting low as possible and just rippingthem down, and at some point that
will come to be an effective wayto stop them. Again, this is
going to be Burtzer trying to runleft around the edge. Now cuts it
at the twenty. Looks like he'sgot the first down. He reached the
(12:43):
ball out at the sixteen yard linewhen he was taken down by Kavasovich.
He gets the first down, butI don't think he really needed to reach
the ball out there, And Imean that's risking a fumble, which I
mean it feels like if we getany turnover in this game, that's going
to be massive. The way thesetwo teams are moving the ball right now,
Oh yeah, we could potentially seea forty forty game here. Who
knows, this could go into overtime, but this, this team right here,
(13:07):
this you cannot, absolutely cannot turnover the ball because they will make
you pay. The team that turnsover the ball first might be the team
to lose it out there. Yeah, I think you certainly could be right.
Just the way these first two driveshave looked. They are going to
fake a reverse and there's a greatjob in the backfield by the Ramblers to
get their Tate along with Kavasovich. We're in the backfield on the keeper for
Bertzer fake to reverse on the enda round. That's a loss of one
(13:28):
back to the sixteen yard line andbring up second and eleven. And that
was just great awareness there by EverettTate forty one total tackles the season and
a sec. He is not afraidgetting to the backfield. He read that
thing like a book and was ableto bring Bertzer down. And that's exactly
what you needed as a Rambler there. You needed to see them get one
solid stop behind the line of scrimmageand now you can push on from that
(13:50):
and hopefully can close down more ofthe gaps once again, Alan and Bertzer
will look to take the snap.Allen Righty's counters to the left now with
the ten, he's still he's draggingtacklers down inside the five yard line to
about the three. Looks like wherethey'll mark him, and that's about a
thirteen yard game. It's first andgoal now for the Wolves as they are
(14:11):
knocking on the door and Blake Allenis just so hard to stop out there
when he gets into the open field. He's just willing to drag anyone along
with him who wants to take aride, not even eating a fee,
not a ticket either. Yeah,we talked about again the leading rusher in
the dun Saint Croix coming in eventhough this is a team that finished third
in the league. As Allen runsright, he gets hitting the backfield,
(14:31):
reaches out, he's still on hisfeet, and he gets into the end
zone. You don't see that oftenfrom the Ramblers where they kind of quit
on the play. I think theythought that ball was going to be blown
dead for the backward progress basically beingpushed backwards, but the refs never blew
it dead. He kept the feetturning, bounces around the edge, and
it's now eight to six Ramblers leading. Yeah, that was just a great
(14:52):
job by Blake Allen to recognize thatthe play is not over until someone blows
a whistle, and that's exactly whathe did. He spun off of a
tackle where it really looked like theRamblers were just kind of reaching and hoping
that all right, maybe the playis dead at this point, but nope,
Lake Allen, with that awareness, rips right around and just cross right
in for a touchdown, Allen againaround the right edge, following blockers in
(15:13):
for the two. This team hasnot tried an extra point all season long.
They're going for two every time, and they get it this time as
well. We're tied at eight withfour forty three left to go first quarter.
We'll be back right after this onthe Ramblers Sports Network. This is
so clear high school football on ClassicRock ninety two one on those cacious autos,
(15:37):
king, how fine the run carfor you? Yeah? You fully
on First Street and clear, it'strue, It's true. No one king
legitimate Love Valley? Is that sohokey? Your home for the Ramblers is
(16:02):
Classic Rock ninety two to one.Welcome back in here to Carson Parks.
You are watching us on the RamblerSports Network or listening to us on Classic
Rock ninety two one. We're appat at young with us level one of
the Division seven playoffs three versus sixmatchup and the upper left of the bracket
it's Regis versus on Wood Plum City. We are tied tot eight there with
(16:22):
four forty three left to go firstquarterboy tail of two different drives, big
hits for the Ramblers, which weknow they can do. For Elmwood Plum
City. That was a ten play, seventy seven yard drive to six minutes
and thirty two seconds. Says, this kick is going to angle out of
bounds at the twenty seven yard line. Regis will be set up with good
field position here as they were ontheir first drive. But it really was
(16:44):
kind of a tail of two differentdrives, wasn't it, Dad? Oh?
Yeah, for sure. And forthe for Plumb City, that's exactly
what our Elmand Plump City Wolves,That's exactly what you wanted. You wanted
a long, long drive to tryand tire out this defense who most of
the players on their defense also playon offense too, and hopefully trying to
tire out that offense before they canreally get a snap off off here in
(17:04):
a rekick. So this is interestingnow Brian Brenner wanting a return here like
he got a good return on thefirst kickoff, So instead of taking the
ball to thirty five, he's gonnalect to rekick. I'm not terribly shocked
by this. I think he wantsthe ball in those guys' hands and let
them make something happen here. SoI'll get a rekick from Victor Placensia as
(17:29):
he gets set to kick it off. Edgar up early eight nothing on Glenwood
City with about four and a halfminutes left to go in the first quarter
there as well. In the winnerof this game plays the winner of that
game. This is a little linedrive squibber that'll be taken by Tato partman
Andrews rather on that far side. He's got a lane for the forty five
one move to make case gets adefender of the forty There's a flag on
the play back at the forty yardline for the moment Andrews is in,
(17:52):
but I think this one's coming backat the forty five yard line. And
such a shit too. That wasa beautifully blocked play. Here comes a
call holding receiving team. Well youdon't get numbers with our officiating crew,
but it was a holding call thereAndrews. You saw him kind of bounce
(18:12):
up on the line line and thenkind of go out, so I'm sure
it was somebody right around where hekind of had to stop for a minute
there and find a hole. Somebodyholding there. We didn't quite see exactly
who on that, but they'll backhim up and Regis is going to start
at about the thirty four yard lineor so. When all is said and
done, well, it was agreat idea by Brenner, though he absolutely
called it. He wanted his playmakersout there to have a chance at that
(18:34):
kick return, and if it wasn'tfor that penalty, maybe a hook in
the backfield there, it could havebeen a touchdown and would have been an
absolutely perfect call. And so farwe've seen some really great plays from these
skills, from the skill positions ofthe Ramblers. So we're tied at eight
here from Carson Park with four totwenty seven left to go first quarter,
(18:55):
and the winner of this game playsthe winner of the eder Glenn Was City
game Edgar leading eight nothing right now, four minutes up to go in the
first quarter. They're playing at homeagainst Glenwood City today. A late substitution
one of the semblings out there, that's land and Sembling getting onto the line.
Weisenberger goes under center inverted double winghere for Regis. Pitch goes to
Costco right to left, cuts itup the gut to the forty and he
(19:17):
is hit down near the first down. Parker looks like he's got the first
down there as he was hitting byone of the safeties there in Sean Saghini,
and it is a first down tothe forty four so a ten yard
gain on first down and there's thatbig chunk play for the Ramblers and just
showing why there's such a great rushingteam. I mean, you can toss
(19:37):
it to anyone back there, andwith the blocking that these Rattlers have been
showing so far, you can prettymuch get five ten yards on a per
carry. Cosca gets the pitch againright to left. I'm from that right
wing area. He's got a couplebut not many pushed backward there by the
walls. He gets to the fortysix yard line. Two yard gain on
the play up the gut. Lookedlike Mason Clair might have been in on
the tackle there along with Brett Lifto. Brett Cops another one to watch,
(20:02):
number seventy nine on the defensive side. He's six foot three, three ten
and you see him right there inthe middle of your screen. He's just
a sophomore Dan. Can you imaginebeing three ten and six foot three when
you wear what fifteen sixteen years old? That's crazy, that is insane,
and this guy's gonna be good fora long time. Yeah, Weisenberger pitches
here to Andrews, moving left toright, looking for a hole up.
The guy look at him, justcalling the pile along with him into plus
(20:26):
territory. He is close, andI think the officials are gonna mark about
a half a yard short of thefirst down marker, so about a seven
and a half yard gain on thatplay. And now it's third in inches.
In almost every run you see fromthis Ramblers team, it's almost like
there's an entire just green wave justpushing an entire pile of people forward.
It's so fun to see now.Mike Sullivan used to refer to it as
(20:48):
mean and green. He called itstudent body right, student body left,
whatever you want to call it.Inverted double wing again, pitch to the
left wing. Reis has the firstdown ten much much more across the forty
up to the thirty nine yard line. It's about a seven yard game wherever
Itt tait on the play and theRamblers move the chains. You're liking the
inverted double wings. See I usedto not like it very much playing against
(21:08):
it against especially Spring Valley right, who played that a lot. But man
do with man is just fun towatch, though, it's just anywhere you
go. You can have a playmakerjust almost running wild, and then have
an entire blocking trio just going forwardtaking out everyone in sight for chunk yardage.
Here's Tate on the pitch from theleft wing, spins off a tackle
(21:30):
at the thirty five, cuts abeautifully and gets up near the thirty yard
line and he is close to thefirst down marker. Again, that is
a ten yard game in a firstdown and ever at Tad breaking some tackles
back there beautifully. Well done.Yeah, and Everett Tait is just an
absolute unit out there, six foottighty seven pounds junior. He still has
a whole season left to go,and he is really showing why he wants
(21:53):
to continue on in this playoffs. This team is looking like a well oiled
machine out there so far are eighteight r score Regis and Elmwood plumb City
here in level one, clock stoppedfor some reason, not really sure why.
With two twenty six leftters Andrew's studentbody right looking for a cut and
he doesn't have much out there. He makes something out of nothing though,
(22:14):
and gets taken down about the twentyseven yard line and a little slow on
that play, Parker Beakle, hekind of twisted his knee a bit as
he was tackling him. There.See him look back to the defensive formation.
Hopefully he's all right, but yeah, I definitely hate to see any
kind of injuries here. Looks likehe is going to go down and he
is upset about it. He wantsto keep playing. Yeah, well he
(22:34):
went down and then now he poundedhis fist like he doesn't want to be
down. But I mean, you'regonna understand the frustration. This is not
only are you getting to play ina playoff game, but you get to
go on the road and for elmwooPlum City, you're playing at a college
field. Is as coach Pertzer talkedabout, you get to play kind of
under the lights in this situation, and you know you want to be out
there as long as possible. AndI'm sure for Parker Beakle, he's pretty
(22:59):
upset about the situation right now.So there's an injury down on the field
here. Two to one left toplay. First quarter, we're tied at
eight. Regis has a second andseven coming up from the Elmwood Plum City
twenty seven yard line. Like wesaid, Edgar leading eight to nothing over
Glenwood City at last check. We'lltry to get you an update on that
Boyce fell clear late game as well. It's on the other side of the
bracket, but could be a potentialmatchup for one of these two teams if
(23:22):
they make it to level three ofthe playoffs. And again that voice Field
team very solid. And again youcan catch that game on the radio side
over on Moose Country one oh sixto seven as well. So they're going
to take a look here at ParkerBeakle and see if he's all right.
We talk about this Regis team, and again the success that they've had,
(23:44):
this Elmwood Plum City team. Youknow, like I said, since they
merge as a school, they've neverwon a playoff game. But if you
go back aways to the Plum Citydays back before they had merged with Elmwood,
they had some success. In fact, they got all the way to
Level four back in twenty ten, lost to Catholics in the Division seven Level
four matchup there fourteen and nothing. So the Plumbwood City's had some success over
(24:04):
the years. They were eleven andeight over that time. Elmwood when they
were on their own had fifteen playoffappearances. The deepest they got was back
in nineteen ninety six they got toLevel three. But since these two teams
emerged and merge into the Wolves, they've been a good force. I know
you saw him quite a bit whenyou were playing at Colfax. This is
a community that really prides itself ontheir sports or athletics and you know,
(24:27):
being able to represent it. Ohyeah, definitely. And these these guys
go out there with a full onehundred percent of their heart. They want
to go out there and play. And as you saw with Peter Beachel,
he is just he absolutely did notwant to get off this field because these
guys love the sport so much andthey want to put one hundred percent of
themselves out there, and especially inthe playoffs where your team could potentially go
(24:48):
on to another game and have anotherchance of a longer season. All right,
so here we go again, andnow there's a false start by Regis.
This is Chase Koski. You didn'tsee that many of these mistakes late
in the season. Let's hear thecall Headbam Paul started offins, So it
is on Chase Cosko on the rightwing on that to inverted double wing setbacks
reaches up to a second and twelvenow from the plum City Elmwood thirty two,
(25:12):
Elmwood, plum City. Excuse me, I'll probably cycle through that a
few times tonight. We're under twominutes left to go here in the first
quarter, tie Tod eight and Regiswill send Austin right out as one of
their wingbacks on the right side. They'll give it, in fact to the
tailback Alby right up. They gottwenty five twenty pig turns on the Jets,
touchdown Ramblers forty two yards on thescamper for the tailback. Bradon now
(25:36):
be on the delay, and that'swhere you can get into some trouble.
They kind of over committed to thewing backs there, and Albi takes out
for the thirty two yard score. And Alby just another one of those guys
on that rushing attack. Just agreat job by him to just a great
job by him to pick the righthole and just absolutely take off. He's
a six foot two and ten poundssenior, and he can move like he's
(25:59):
almost one hundred fifty pounds. Heis quick. Jack Schroder will attempt the
extra point two kickers on this Ramblerteam. Schroder's kick is up and good.
Interesting with the Wolves. We knowthey're going to go for two if
they score again, so we'll seehow that all works out later on.
But the kick is good. Fifteento eight. Regis with the lead one
thirty three left. First. We'llbe back right after this on the Ramblers

Oaklaire Regis versus the Elmwood Plum CityWolves here in Level one off the
High School Playoffs peacondutes and Dan Zon'swith you especial thanks is ain't coming in
on our video stream here on theRegis Rambler Sports Network and a Dan Price,
our producer back on the radio sidehere on Classic Rock ninety two to
one. We have not seen awhole lot of defense yet this game.
It's a fifteen to eight Regius lead, thirty two yard touchdown run for braidon
(27:30):
Alby is. This one's kicked overto the far sideline and that is batted
down by Allen scoops. It upfifteen seventeen Dragon tacklers to the nineteen and
a really nice kick there by aRegius good angled kick there for Pablo Gonzalez
getting the duties tonight. And thatwas about as a well coffin cornered of
a kickoff as you can get tosend Albi into some trouble. And they've
(27:52):
had two kind of tough returns herealready in this game. Oh yeah,
definitely, And just to be ableto make something thing out of nothing there
it looked like he was gonna loseeven more yards at that point, but
still just not ideal. However, they were able to rush almost the entire
length of the field last time aswell. So you want to see how
this Ramblers defense is gonna adjust tothis Wolve's offense, who kind of ran
(28:17):
a lot all over them. Nowlet's see again, they've got the two
men back there. Allen gets asnap running right. Regis has it all
stacked up on that right side. Now Regis is saying they got the ball,
that he wasn't down, everybody pointingwas he on top of a body?
I wonder if that's the question.I think the officials are marking him
down. But boy, that's oneof those where if you're if you're playing
on Saturdays or Sundays, they mightbe going to the replay review on that.
(28:41):
Oh yeah, And that's the hardthing about high school sports. You
can't replay that. And if you'rea rough and you can didn't see it
right away, you can't call thata fumble if it's not like clear an
evidential proof. But still a goodjob by the Ramblers to still be aware
of, like, oh, hey, the football's out that at all eleven
green jerseys pointing the other way itwas our ball is. Here's a bobbled
(29:02):
snap by Allen. He goes backand gets it at the eleven, and
he will get up maybe near thefifteen. Good job by the Ramblers to
get into the backfield there and wraphim up before he could get anything going
fort Alex Burdick on the tackle andothers there as well. And so now
it is third and fourteen here orfor Plum City Elmwood, and I believe
(29:22):
they're in a situation where they don'thave to run another play here before the
end of the quarter, and they'regonna let the clock tick down and take
a look at the I mean,we've got a beautiful night. It's in
the load of mid fifties. Thereis no wind to speak up, no
weather to speak up. This isan absolutely perfect late in October evening,
and sure enough they will be ableto take it to the end of the
quarter mark. So at the endof one, it's the Regis Ramblers fifteen
(29:45):
the Elmwood Plum City Wolves eight herein Level one of the Division seven playoffs.

one. Hey, welcome back inonce again here to Carson Park and as
the Ramblers a great second drive toget in for a fifteen to eight lead
here over Elmwood Plum City and Levelone. Twelve minutes left to go.
Second quarter Elmwood Plump City going backwardshere. Like you said, Dan,
you know the way we've seen thisgo so far, three drives all with
(31:00):
touchdowns. I know there's been alittle bit of faux pause here for the
Wolves on this drive, but itfeels like even just losing some yards and
maybe not converting early in this gamefeels like it's gonna be big. The
way both teams have moved the ballagain in that first quarter. Oh yeah,
and especially any kind of small mistakestoo. I mean they went backwards
a little bit startled. Then theyalso coughed up the football a little bit
ago and just had to land onit trying to make do whatever they can.
(31:23):
You cannot make a mistake against thisRambler team and expect to be able
to walk off from that, becausethis Regis team, they'll run back on
you and they will do exactly whatthey did on the last drive. So
if you're the Wolves here, youneed to pick up this third down Berts
are and Allen and again back isthat kind of wishbone formation. Berts are
gonna take it here right up thegut looking for the run. He doesn't
have much across the fifteen to maybethe eighteen, about a three yard game,
(31:48):
and it's gonna bring up fourth andabout eleven here for Elmwood plump citting,
And I just can't imagine that youcan go for it this deep in
your own territory, this early inthe game. They're gonna have to bring
the punt unit out. I'd imaginethere's just no way unless we've got an
injury. So they're gonna have sometime to think about it and to talk
about it here. That is BrettLifto, who is down, and so
Lifto sometimes factors in on the offensiveline is a tight end and those kind
(32:13):
of things is down and so someinjuries here early on for this Elmwood Plump
City team that can be obviously prettyyou know, not only are you down
here, you're against the higher seed, You're on the road. This is
a tough drive. And now you'vehad you know, two guys get hurt
here. And so for elm withPlump City, you know, they had
some they've had some good moments.I wouldn't say it's the worst start that
they could have, and all ofa sudden things starting to stack up against
(32:35):
them a little bit. Yeah, and it's about it's gonna be about how
you bounce back from this. Canthis defense stifle this Ramblers offense that's been
almost like a hot knife through butterto start off this game, especially on
the rushing attack. I mean, they've had a couple of passing plays,
but they really haven't had the passThey've been able to really do whatever they
want on that rushing attack. Andit's gonna be about what the Wolves are
able to do to adjust and kindof tighten up around those edges. Man,
(33:00):
if they're gonna have to punt here, if they if they try to
go for it and turn it overhere, this is just gonna be an
easier walk away for the Ramblers.Just get right in and put this game
away early and you get it right. You don't obviously want to give the
ball back to Regis in any case, but I just don't know if there's
a way around this. Dylan Zellingerhad been the guy who had punted for
most of the season for the Wolves, and he's the one who's back average
(33:22):
is about thirty yards of punt.So again, this ball back inside the
twenty, they have to go thatright that route and Zellinger will be the
massic punt. Regis will get HarrisonHaas back to return, standing out about
it his own forty six yard line. It is Zellinger who takes the punt
and a decent spiraler here It willroll a out of bounds hosted and get
(33:45):
a great read on that ends upworking out pretty well here. Regis forty
four yard line is where they willstart out, so not a terribly bad
kick there. Of about thirty eightyards and that will put Regis at their
own forty four. Yeah, andthat's just not ideal if you're the Ramblers.
I mean, you get great fieldposition. However, you had a
chance to really take something and runwith it there. But regardless the way
(34:08):
that this offense looked, I don'tknow if they're gonna really need that perfect
field position. I'd be one ofthose where you just don't take the risk,
right, You're just kind of goingand deal with what you can deal
with, I suppose. And ofcourse, all right, so here we
go is the Ramblers back out tryingto make it a two score game,
fifteen to eight. Reis with thelead here on Elmwood Plumb City, and
they will give it on the reverse. This is Tate right up the gut
(34:28):
across the fifty to the forty eightyard line. There's the old hand it
off to the right wing, Costkagive it to the left wing Tait on
the reverse and he gets about aseven yard gain on first down. And
that's just great blocking as well asa great play design there to just funnel
that defensive line and just completely justclear that right to see. Just a
great job by the blockers to keeppushing up ahead and continue on with their
(34:51):
blocks. You don't see that veryoften. You see a lot of high
schoolers usually just kind of quit ontheir blocks once they got their guy past
them, but they just keep goingverd a double wing again, the handoute
to Coska right to left to theforty five of Elmwood Plum City, and
he has a four yard game. That's enough for a first sound as they
move the chains ten forty two leftto go. Second quarter it is Regis
fifteen, Elmwood Plum City eight.Hey, we want to give a special
(35:14):
shout out to somebody who's watching usfrom Vienna, Austria tonight. Our old
friend Lorie zicicitis a retired English teacherat Oaklare Regis former Oaklare Expressed ost Mom
as well and liaison to the stars. She is watching us from Vienna,
Austria. So we got listeners andviewers everywhere. Is here's a pitch from
the right wing on the inverted doublewingdam Meyer. We will get it out
(35:35):
to the forty one yard line fora gain of four yards. So you're
international tonight, Dan, We're internationalhere this year. Good to hear,
Good to hear, I wish Icould speak any kind of Austrian sucking.
Make it a little bit better forour Austrian listener. Think it'll be better
if you don't. Yeah, Absolutely, second and six here from the Elmwood
Plum City forty one yard line,Weisenberger pitches to Andrews. Andrews following student
(35:59):
body to the right. He getswrapped up for a moment, then gets
away from the tackle from Lifto, who was injured a few plays ago,
gets to the thirty nine yard linebefore he is finally stopped in the play
by Logan Outh and it will bea third and four nowt here for Regis.
This is probably the closest that ElmwoodPlump City has come to getting a
stop here, at least the longestthird down attempt that Regis is going to
bat. And this is going tobe a very crucial down for them to
(36:22):
just to see if their defense isable to really contain and close down this
offense. The Ramblers, they needthe thirty five for a first down,
they will give it on the tailbackdelay to Albion. He does not have
it one yard on the play, not much more Lifto again on the stop,
and it'll be fourth and three, and this is not close enough by
any means to kick, and Idon't think this is far enough away to
(36:45):
punt, and this is likely goingto be four down territory for regis No,
and Brentner trusts his skill guys outthere enough to go out and get
extra three yards. And also he'sjust got a lot of great plays drawn
up just just for these kind ofsituations as well. So it's going to
be interesting to see what he comesup with for the sports down attempt.
Here it is fourth and three, they will reverse it to Andrews trying to
go right edge. He makes amove, he's gonna get the first down
(37:07):
first sideline there he goes one nineto beat and then he's taken out of
olds at the fifteen yard line. And I'll tell you what, Riley Beckel
is absolutely beside himself. He hada chance to wrap him up for a
loss, and Ian Andrews juped himout of his shoes to get inside the
twenty. And that's the hard thingabout trying to take down a guy like
(37:28):
Ian Andrews too. He's gonna makeyou miss in space, and you you
have to be aware that he's gonnatry and do that, but obviously Riley
Beachell just could not get there intime and just was not really following the
right steps to be able to makethat perfect tackle and just allowed Ian Andrews
just slipped right by him for anotherfirst down for the Ramblers to the fifteen.
They go eight forty two left togo here in the first quarter or
(37:51):
farmy second quarter. Rather they pitchit from right to left and a good
job containing it here by the Wolvesas Tate had absolutely nothing doing. Mason
Clair on this stop as he getsup to maybe a yard to the thirteen
yard line there, it is soa stop there that Andrews moved though on
fourth down. I mean, ifRegis scores on this drive and if they
go on to win this game,I think that's one the one to put
(38:12):
in the memory banks. He hitthe winners at the L one L two
button to make that juke and offhe went, oh yeah, and he
just absolutely he had that. Hejust took the top off the defense too.
That's gonna be one of those highlightplays. They might put that on
ESPN. Who knows Andrew's running rightnow? Weisenberger back to pass, looking
back corner of the end zone.Instead throws the under route to Albi,
who catches it inside the five andis taken down near the three yard line,
(38:35):
stopped on the play by Ryan leyBeckel, but not before he gets
inside the three on a ten yardgame a first down, first and goal
here for the Ramblers and and Albtoo. Albi's not very much of a
receiver out there. He's more ofa kind of ground and pound type of
running back six foot two, tensenior, but he can catch. He
can catch, and he just showedit on that play too, and just
(38:57):
absolutely turned it upfield. And thatwas a great job running out there,
and great awareness by Weisenberger to makethat short pass. Weisenberger will pitch it
to the right wing back. That'scosta kind of crawling over some defenders and
then his hit after maybe a yardon the play. Logan Outh was the
man who was the one who pulledhim back right out was in there as
well. But instead that was Ido believe despite what he said, that
(39:22):
was the pitch. Oh, itwas to ride out rather And there is
an injured player and another wolve isdown here for Elmwood Plum City. Yeah,
right out did get the pitch thereand gets maybe a yard. So
second and goal from about the twoand a half three yard line is the
situation here. Yeah, And that'sJack Steinmeyer down right now. He's got
(39:44):
forty eight toll tackles, five tacklesfor lost in a sack. He's been
pretty active out there on the defensiveon the defensive linebacker position. Just you
hate to see another one of thesewolves go down. That's almost that's three.
Even though we had Brett lifto backin the game. Thing fully,
and I'd have to see it.I'd have to go back through their through
(40:04):
their game list, and I guessI hadn't thought about this before, but
my assumption is this is probably thefirst time they played on field turf all
year. You wonder if that, you know, just the way you plant,
the way you run maybe a littlebit different than some of those natural
grass fields you used to playing inthe dun Saint Croix as well. So
I'm sure that could potentially, youknow, maybe a little bit of unsureness.
Right. You might be wearing differentcleats, different types of shoes,
those kind of things, and allof a sudden you're not cutting the same
(40:27):
way that you are on your hometurf. That might have something to do
with it tonight, So an injurythere. It is fifteen to eight Ramblers
with the lead here on the Wolvesseven twenty eight left to go in the
second quarter. We can tell youthat Glenwood City, or Edgar rather is
leading Glenwood City eight to nothing withabout five just under six minutes left to
go in the second quarter. ButI do believe Glenwood City has the ball
(40:49):
into Edgar territory inside the twenty fiveyard line, so they are on the
march. There are the Hilltoppers tryingto figure out a way to score there
against Edgar's squad. And again that'sa the two seed theres you're assuming Edgar's
gonna get to have a good chanceto get in, but who knows.
You got some other scores there Danas well from around the area. I
do, and maybe a surprise themost Chipwa falls up fourteen to seven on
(41:10):
Hudson, and Chipwall has the ballright now too. They've been playing some
stellar defense on that Hudson offense. And then we also have boys full up
right now. They're up twenty twonothing on clear Lake at the in the
second quarter. Right now, soa few one surprise and upset and a
really good game going on Edgar versusGlenloyeah. That would be massive if Chipwa
(41:30):
pulled off that upset on Hudson.Do remember that tonight over on our friends
over on Newstock wm EQ. That'sa AM eight eight a m. The
Menominee area in one oh six pointthree FM. You know, clear from
nine thirty to eleven o'clock tonight youcan hear football Friday Night. That's a
state wide postgame show that comes toyou live from Milwaukee and they'll recap all
the scores from level one. Tomake sure you tune into that. There
(41:51):
we're on the iHeartRadio app over onNewstock WMQ. Al Right, Weisenberger back
under center, second and goal fromabout the two and a half yard line,
and I'll be with the carry upthe gut. He does not have
it and this looks like it's abouta yard short of the line. The
game, he just the straight updive for no delay, nothing there.
It was just Albie power and heis taken down quickly in its third and
(42:13):
goal and Reds having a hard timegetting the push into the end zone.
Yeah, and the Wolves have surprisinglytightened up here, especially towards the end,
only allowing a couple big runs thathave saved this Ramblers offense a few
times to continue to drive going on. If Elmwood plumps City wants to get
back into this game, it stoppedright here. Everett Tate right wing,
It's Andrews left wing, alb thetailback. It's a pitch to Andrews.
(42:35):
Andrews following blockers, jumps over atdefender, and he's into the end zone
with six forty three left to playin the second quarter. It's an Ian
Andrews one yard touchdown run. Thatis his second touchdown of the game,
his ninth of the season, andit's the Ramblers really twenty one to eight.
And Ian Andrews is just so athleticout there that he can really make
up something out of nothing. Andespecially with all those bodies down on the
(42:59):
ground, it looked like the itwasn't really much for I and Andrews to
go, but he was able tojust hop right over the top and get
in for a touchdown. That's exactlywhat you want out of your running backs.
Schroeder on to kick the extra point. The kick is up and the
kick is good. Twenty two toeight. Regis with the lead six forty
three laps. Second quarter. We'llbe back right after this. You're on

Your home for the Ramblers is ClassicRock ninety two one. Yeah,
welcome back in once again here tooCarson Park. The player Regis Ramblers with
(44:09):
another drive of nine plays fifty sixyards and they get into the end zone
to make a twenty two to eighthere over Elmwood Plum City up the second
quarter, and they have not hada drive that hasn't ended up in a
touchdown yet this game. And theycontinue to move that offense well here against
Elmwood Plum City. So Elm withPlump City looking for a response. Their
(44:30):
last drive went backwards, a coupleof mistakes, want to fumble on a
snap, and a couple other issuesthat they're had. So it'll be Gonzales
to kick this one off. It'sgoing to roll kind of awkwardly over toward
the far sideline. Allen picks itup at the numbers there at the twenty,
takes it across the twenty five, gets hit pretty hard near the twenty
eight to twenty nine yard line.COSCA on the stop. Yeah, he'll
get to the twenty nine yard lineofficially to start. Not to say that
(44:53):
this game, you know, hingeson this drive, but elmwoo. Plump
City doesn't get a touchdown on thisdrive, you read has a chance to
go maybe three scores before the endof the half, and that seems like
that'd be pretty devastating at this pointin the game. Yeah, things could
get really messy, especially how EPCAwas able to really get out early on
and just keep up with the Ramblers. I mean, they tied this thing
(45:14):
eight to eight so fast. Butthen a couple of injuries, a couple
of mister queues on their next offensivedrive, and they just haven't looked the
same since that first one. Sohere they go with the Allen carry on
the right side, got a decenthold of the thirty cuts it back up
middle of the field, across thethirty five up near the thirty seven,
maybe the thirty eight yard line wherehe's finally taking down andrews in on the
(45:35):
set, and he'll get about eighton that first down carry. So make
it second and short. And that'sexactly what you need if you're the Wolves
right now, you need some slowyou need some long and consistent drives going
on. And that was a bigrun there for them, and you know
that they want to get some kindof momentum going here. But if you're
the Ramblers, you got to makesure to close it and put a foot
down on the throat and just makesure that nothing is getting past them.
(45:58):
Make sure to close down, containwell, and not allow those big runs
to happen. Yeah. Again, they got to rattle off those five to
ten yard runs on that first drivepretty easily. But the last drive was
a little bit different. They geta little early here Bertzerer with a fake
handoff. He is hitting the backfieldand then stop lex backwards back of the
thirty six yard line attackle there byBraiden Alby, and he'll get let's say
(46:23):
progress is for about a one maybea two yard loss back to the thirty
six brings up third and about three. And these running backs, I mean
they're doubling as some great defenders tosome dual threats. Really, I mean,
we already talked about Everett Tait whomade a big play in the backfield
earlier. Now Braiden Alby's coming upthere and he's making some big plays and
stopping them. Just some great stuff. And Braiden Alby five sacks on this
(46:45):
season. You know he's gonna bein there trying to make a play,
all right. So once again,Alan gonna take the snap here direct,
running left, hitting the line,he gets past it for a first down
across the forty up to about theforty two yard line, for he is
taken down by a of ramblers landand sembling in on the stop pass there
as well. Terris was close andit's a first down on a five yard
(47:06):
game here for Elmwood, Plump City. Five minutes left to go, second
quarter, regis twenty two, Wolveseight, and they're trying to slow the
bleeding right now and so far they'rekind of doing pretty well despite that first
starting run. But they allow onlyone maybe two yards of play. They
can really force them to punt againand potentially go down the field and go
(47:27):
up three touchdowns all back to pass. Here goes Alan chucks it downfield.
It is up and tipped in complete. What a job down field is.
Regis gets a hand on a NoahTerrists got a hand up there. For
a moment, I thought he hada chance to intercept that ball. It
kind of flew on Lb a bit. He only was able to get a
hand out up, but he breaksit up intended for Sean Saghan. He
had it's second and ten. Greatawareness downfield. He didn't overplay the ball
(47:52):
and he wasn't going for the tackleon that one. Great job to just
get a hand up, even thoughit might have gotten it looked a little
bit lost in the lights there hehad. It looked like he closed his
eyes for a second kind of putthe Odell hand up trying to like knock
it away. Great job by himin a great awareness to keep the ball
out in front of him. Wellthat stuff for Allen as well. You
know, if I think if heyou know, doesn't put so much air
(48:14):
under that as he runs to theright side for a couple of yards to
the forty five yard line, justkind of tripped up himself and he looks
like he's down here as well.Let's see if he gets up a little
slow getting up here on a twoyard game third night. But for me,
on that pass play a couple downsago, for Alan, he doesn't
put that air under it. Ithink he gets that ball there. It's
the fact that he floated that inthat gave us some time for Terris to
(48:37):
get up there and catch up toit. And that's the issues with like
that too, because Blake Allen's notthere like primary quarterback. He's there half
back as he is listed. Hewill throw the ball from time to time
and try and catch the offense orcatch the defense off guard, but he's
a running back. At the endof the day, Bertz are trying to
run left and he's wrapped up inthe backfield for a big loss. What
(48:58):
to tackle there by Bray now whois come to play tonight? A four
yard loss back to the forty oneyard line, and that's going to bring
up fourth and eleven and again anotherpunt situation here for the Wolves, and
you wonder if that match score bythe Wolves starting off this game kind of
lit a fire underneath them to continueon and really put the pressure on this
Wolves team, because man, thislooks like a completely different defense than we
(49:21):
then we saw in that first one. And this is a regious team.
I mean, this is a pride. What I've thought watching them this season
is the offense is good, butthe defense seems to me to be one
of the big things that they hangtheir head on. I mean, eighty
eight yards per game is what theygive up on the ground. So that
first drive just didn't compute for you. Those last two certainly have been much
more Regis like. As they areback to punt here, Regis looks like
(49:42):
they want to get a block andnow they will retreat back and allow a
return coming. It'll be returned fromthe thirty two yard line, and there's
a chance on that far side forhast to return this one. He is
horse collared from behind at about theforty four maybe the forty three yard line.
Well they're mark them too, abouta ten yard return on the play
and reads again good field position twofifty five left, second quarter. Regis
(50:04):
twenty two, Elmwood Plump City eight. And that was just a great job
by the return team, not reallyletting anything up there. But the Ramblers
now have a chance to really putthis game away and really put their final
stamp on it if there's not goingto be a comeback. But just the
way the Ramblers have run this gamehas just been insane. They've been getting
almost five seven yards each and everydrive. Just a beautiful job by the
(50:28):
blocking and a beautiful scheme to reallytake this plump Elmwoo Plump City team off
guard handoff go Sekaska in the acesformation. He gets into plus territory of
the forty nine yard line, maybethe forty eight where they finally marked about
a nine yard game. They wantthe aces formation there. They give it
to the tailback. A lot oftimes I think teams expect Regis to throw
there, and now look at this. They come right up to the line.
(50:50):
They want to run a quick playto thirty six to thirty five left
to play in the quarter. Acesagain, one receiver right, one left,
another handof the cospa up the gut. He's got the first down of
the forty five. I'm about athree to eighty four yard gain is they'll
get him to the forty four yardline officially, and now a whistle and
a stoppage here to move the chainsas off and Claar, we're in to
(51:10):
make the stop first and ten herefor Regis, and they know they're a
running team right now, so theywant to allow as much time as possible
to get down that field to scoreanother one. They're going for a touchdown,
and you can tell just by theway they've been playing this and by
the way that they've been coming outwith intensity. One receiver ranked one left
once again here for Weisenberger takes thesnap back to pass, looks over the
(51:32):
middle, throws it's caught at THEO. It's bobbled and incomplete. Should have
been caught and it was incomplete downfieldthey went trying to find George Walters store
and it's incomplete. That'll bring upsecond and ten and it should have been
a big gain over the scene gettingclose to the twenty. Yeah, and
that almost could have probably gone fora touchdown. Have you gotten past the
(51:52):
safety there too? You know he'sgoing to be thinking about that for the
rest of this game. But man, that what they hold that perfectly the
entire Elmwood Plum City defense. Ithought that was a run and not a
single person was really ready for apass in that secondary Tate Wright and Andrews
left. They will swing it outof the backfield in that aces formation.
(52:14):
Cosco makes a catch forty thirty fiveand he's double tackled near about the thirty
three yard line. Ny Sagini andOuth as well, but not before he
gets the first down up to thethirty three yard line on an eleven yard
game, and after just pressuring thatdefensive line by running down their throats every
single time, this spread is catchingthe Wolves off guard. Here on defense,
(52:36):
We're gonna get a whistle, andI'm gona a time out taking by
Elmwood plump City here with to goin the second quarter, I'll give us
a chance take time out as well, take quick break come back right after
this here on the Ramblers Sports Network, this is so clear. High school

Welcome back in once again. Hereto Carson Park, Oclaire. Regis leading
twenty two to eight over the ElmwoodPlum City Wolves one forty eight left to
(53:42):
go second quarter, first to tenfor Regis at the Elm, with plum
City thirty three. Back to Pasco'sWeisenberger pressure coming, he steps up,
He's gonna run with us, goesleft to the thirty. Now gonna run
out of bounds at about the twentyseven yard liners, so you see where
they mark him officially, twenty sixis where they'll put them to about a
for me, about a seven yardgame. So we're gonna bring up second
(54:02):
about third here for Regis, andthat stops the clock as well. And
just a great job by Regis tocontinue on going doing their thing, doing
their bread and butter, which isthey've been able to catch guys off guard
with the spread, but they knowthat the offensive running is just gonna be
consistent for them. Weisenberger with akeeper running lap pull on a tackler to
(54:25):
the twenty yard line before he isfinally taken down. Aiden Maxwell in on
the stop fake the handoff little readoption there with Costka again in that aces
formation. And interesting, Bryan Brennerhas not gone back to the inverted double
wing on this drive. They havestayed in this formation the entire time.
And now let's see here first andten from the ELM with plump City twenty
(54:46):
one yard line. Weisenberger back topass, he's to roll to his right
running and there is a flag onthe play. It is caught at the
ten yard line and out of bounds. It about the eight yard line is
Brayden Elbe but this one looks likeit's a hole in it's coming back,
and let's hear the call offense, and that should be ten yards from the
(55:07):
original line, not from that spot. Now in high school football, that
a rule that has been changed, thankfully in the last couple of years,
and so this should put them backto the thirty one yard line and it'll
be first and twenty here for Regiswaiting. Are we gonna get more conversation
here? This is not from thespot of the foul. This is not
(55:30):
how we do it in high schoolfootball anymore. I believe let's hear the
call, holy offense, replay itout. They're not gonna tell us from
the so they're gonna mark this upnow. I don't know, Dan,
we've been watching high school football year. I thought they've been marking that off
from the original line. Now,not from the spot, but they're marking
that off from the spot. Sothat's we're looking at first and what twenty
(55:52):
twenty? Now we're gonna mark Yeah, what are we doing here? Okay,
off we go? I was aboutto say twenty That used to be
the rule in high school, whichwas just an awful, terrible rule.
Luckily they've changed that. Weisenberger backto pass, he is pressured and sacked
back at the forty yard line. They go, Now this will be a
big loss. And second and aboutthirty coming up here for Regis and a
(56:15):
time out taken by the Ramblers totalk about it. One eighteen left to
go, second quarter, Regis twentytwo, Elmwood Plum City eight a holding
penalty and now a sack has Regisgoing about nineteen yards backwards. So a
second and twenty two is or twentynine rather is coming up here for Regis.
Edgar now leading fifteen to nothing. You know, Glenwood City had the
(56:35):
ball down just eight on the goalline, and I believe they gave it
up on a turnover. Edgar wentin for a quick touchdown. So Edgar
now leading fifteen to nothing. Andthat is the end of the first half
in that game. Any other scoreupdates you got for us Dan, Yeah,
Chip with falls on the goal linefor Hutt or in the red zone
for Hudson. Still up fourteen toseven on Hudson River falls in Monomni after
the first course tied up seven toseven there, So that's a pretty good
(56:58):
game. Boysfuls left twenty two tonothing in this second quarter. So a
lot of good games going on aroundthe league so far. That boys Field
team could certainly be a team downthe road for either Regis or hold Plumb
City if they're able to get tolevel three. So that's an interesting score
to keep your eye on as well. All right, back out of the
time out, there's the four receiverset. We've seen a lot they hang
out the Costca big Hall thirty twentyfive. There he goes ten five touchdown
(57:22):
ramblers brom a second and twenty nineto a forty yard touchdown run. Chase
Costka is in for his first touchdownof the game, and just like that,
it's twenty eight to eight. Regiusleaves one oh nine left to go
with the second quarter, and thatwas just a perfect play design there.
(57:42):
I wasn't really understanding why they keptgoing back to pass because they're they've been
the best when they've been running thatoff running the ball, and what do
you know, they faked the passand do a running back draw right up
the middle and there was just noone, no one at all in the
middle of that field. Just looka completely easy just run for Costca all
the way to the end zone.Only one guy to beat and he beat
(58:05):
them. Wow. Just a greatjob by Costca. Schroeder with the extra
point makes it twenty nine eight.Don't see our video producer at the moment,
so we're gonna keep it right herewith one o nine left to play.
We mentioned a few of those otherscores again. The winner of this
game plays a winner of the Edgarversus Glenwood City game, Edgar up fifteen
to nothing at halftime in that one, And we certainly are hoping to be
(58:25):
bringing you if Regis does advance nextweek, hoping to bring you not only
the game here on Classic Rock ninetytwo one, but also on the Regis
Rambler Sports Network on our video stream, which kind of you can catch on
YouTube, on the Regis Catholic Schoolsweb page, or on their Facebook page
as well, So plenty of waysto catch Rambler football here in the playoffs.
A defending Division seven state champs.Again, they lost a number of
(58:49):
guys from last year who were bigpieces of that team, including Xander Rocco
of course, who went into playDivision one football and so on. But
this team has really come together. They've really, you know, kind of
been backs up against the wall ina lot of situations and they have hung
in there certainly, and it's beenfun to watch this season, and we'll
see if they can continue it inthe playoffs. You never know, I
mean, team catches fired, Dan, You've seen it happen before. You
(59:12):
never know what can happen to thoseOh yeah, playoffs is a whole different
kind of breed of football. Thisis where you see how actual teams come
out to play and what kind ofteam they want to be. Here comes
to kickoff. This one looks likeit's headed out of bounds, but Allen's
gonna take it right on the sidelineabout the seventeen yard line. He gets
crushed across the thirty and down atthe thirty four yard line or sandwich there
(59:32):
for Rocco along with Alex Burdick onthe tackle at the thirty four and they
well, Allen has had I tellyou what, he's had a good first
half. But he's also he's takingsome hits in this half as well.
Oh yeah, definitely. I mean, he's really been the lifeblood of that
offense out there. A lot ofthe best plays have been run through him,
(59:54):
and it's just it's hard to seehim take so many hits. He's
just he's trying to survive until halftimewith the way that the Ramblers have been
going at him out there. Onethree left to play here in this first
half reaches twenty nine Elman plum Cityeight. Here's a run to the left
side and not a whole lot forall the backup running backs. Owen Cobra,
(01:00:15):
the sophomore as twitter and three yardson the season, gets a couple
across the thirty five to about thethirty seven yard line. We'll call it
second and a long seven coming uphere for the Wolves, and they seem
content to kind of run some clockat the end of this half. Down
by three scores. Yeah, youdon't want to give the Ramblers back anything
and then have them go up anotherscore on you here, because there's still
plenty of time to do that.Brt Lifto still limping around out there,
(01:00:38):
as you can see there, theseguys love this game so much they're willing
to put every bit of hard andeffort in even though the score isn't really
what they want to see right now, But it's exactly what you want to
see in a good football game.Allen running left around the edge. He's
got a lane down the far sideline of the fifty and then he's ridden
out of bounds at about the fortyyard line. That might change your plan
(01:01:00):
of attack now, as Terrace wasin on the stop, but he gets
to the forty. Now there's onlyfourteen seconds left. They actually mark him
at the forty three fourteen seconds left. They've got two timeouts, and all
of a sudden, the Wolves arekind of smarting that they weren't, you
know, saving some clock there.Oh yeah, And that's the that's the
hard part about him breaking off abig run like that, because he feels
you full of regret, especially whenyou've already ticked off so much time.
(01:01:22):
Now, if you're gonna do something, you're gonna have to do an outside
pass to kind of get maybe alittle bit of chunk yardage and then kind
of get out of bounds unless you'regonna try and kip up with that run
game and hope for a big play. I'd see if Bertzer maybe passes this
ball here, if they try torattle off some yardage, it will actually
go to Allen. They fake andend around to him trying to run around
(01:01:43):
the edge. He's tripped up maybetwo yards to the forty one yard line,
tripped up in the backfield. Ithink Costco was the man who tripped
him. And a whistle and atime out by Elmwood Plum City, I
believe. And so I mean youwant forty one yards away? I guess
this is hail Mary time, right. I mean, there's no real other
option here. They don't have akicking game, and I suppose you could
(01:02:05):
try to run in this situation,Dan, I maybe maybe try to catch
the defense playing a little bit offree that get some guys back there.
But you could also just try tochuck it as far as you can and
see what happens. Well. Imean, Alan is the type of guy
to be able to break off abig run, especially in these situations.
But I would almost want them tojust run this and hope for a big
play to happen. If you're aWolves fan out there, because if you
(01:02:25):
throw a hail Mary and that getspicked off, and this team is a
great returning team, that's a greatpoint. They could potentially get enough blockers
and go down the field and thensuddenly this game's out of hand and it's
even more messy than it already. Is not the exact same situation, but
you've got an Auburn Alabama kick returnfield goal return for a touchdown situation.
Yeah, it's you could go frombad to worse just like that. You're
(01:02:50):
not wrong. Four seconds remain again, one time out left for the Wolves.
You wonder if Regis might take atime out here after Elm when plump
City comes out just to kind ofsee what the formation is and maybe set
up some things defensively, and itlooks like they will bring out again berts
Are and Allen kind of in thatwishbone sort of formation. Only one receiver,
that's Sacghini to the right, andso it is bertz Are and he
(01:03:14):
is going to go back to pass. There comes a pressure, he'll launch
this one near side. It isupbandits out of bounds and incomplete. Zero's
on the clock, no laundry onthe field. That is the end of
half number one. All right, early thoughts here Dan twenty nine to eight,
rather Regis with the lead. Regishas scored on all four of their
drives in this first half. Theylooked very solid offensively. They didn't look
(01:03:37):
great defensively on the first drive, but they settled in really well. Elma
Plump City is going to get theball to start the second half. But
I'll tell you what, it's abig uphill climb at this point with a
team like the Ramblers and what they'vebeen doing on the offensive side of the
ball. Yeah, And this Rambler'soffense is just so versatile. They haven't
gone to one single guy every singleany single drive. It's not the same
(01:04:00):
with the Plumwood City team because theyare able to just they're running mainly through
Allen for the most part. Butthis Ramblers offense has been gone through Costca,
through Albi, through Ian Andrews. We see Tate getting in there and
making some big plays. And theneven on the even Weisenberger was running out
there and he's not much of arunning quarterback, or at least not statistically
(01:04:21):
speaking, and then we saw thempassing and spreading as soon as the defense
start committing to that run. Soalmost it's gonna be really hard for this
Elmwood plum City Wolves team to reallyclimb back into this. They dug thems
off such a deep hole. Butif they're able to stick some drives together,
they can maybe climb back a littlebit into this. We'll see if
(01:04:41):
they're able to. We will takean extended break here over our halftime break,
and we'll get you some scores andother import of across the area as
well. Gonna be a good one. You are one listening to us on

and it's o'clare Regis leading twenty nineto eight or the elm One Plum City
Wolves here at halftime. Peeknots andDan Zon's with you. Dan Price is
our radio producer back in studios inCollenen is our producer on the video stream
(01:05:46):
here on the Regis Ramblers Sports Network. Dan As we take a look at
both these teams after that first half. Regis scores on all four of their
drives, leaving twenty eight to eighthere. Ian Andrews got into the M
zone twice on that drive. Butfor me, it was the big plays
that did it, and it wasall running plays. A forty one yard
touchdown run for me and Andrews forthe first touchdown, thirty two yard touchdown
(01:06:10):
from Brad Nowby for the second touchdown. Andrews then punches it in from a
yard out, but then the nexttouchdown three of the four touchdowns over thirty
yards a forty yard touchdown run fromChase Coska with about a minute oh nine
left to play. In that firsthalf, they broke off some big runs
against someone plumb city defense. Sothey did not seem to have the answer
on the defensive side. No,they did not, And even when they
(01:06:31):
did have some answers, it waslike almost two steps forward and then three
steps back half the time because theywould either bite themselves, they either shoot
themselves in the foot, or theywould allow a giantormous run like especially when
they use a technical term. Bythe way, that's true, yes that
is true. But they had chancesto make some stops against this rambler offense.
(01:06:54):
But this rambler offense was just absolutelyjust going at it out there.
I mean, almost every single drivejust spelt like they were always in flaw,
always in emotion. Even when theygot set back, even when they
had some miscues from time to time, they were able to kind of recuperate
and then find another way to breakoff a big run or find a big
(01:07:15):
pass to get enough for a firstdown. It's just it's hard to defend
against. It. Certainly is Edgarleading twenty two to nothing right now over
Glenwood City. By the way, tenh eight left to play here in the
first or in the third quarter ofthat game as well. We'll give you
some other scores once we get goinghere. But yeah, you talked about
it. I think the underrated parttoo, is just how well the Regis
(01:07:38):
Ramblers defense buckled down after that firstdrive, a rough first drive for them,
tackling, then all of a suddenthey turned it up and have really
stopped the Allen and Bertzer combination herefor most of that first half. So
we're just gonna kick things off rightto left, and here we go to
start the third quarter downfield. Itgoes. Allen takes it about the eleven
(01:07:58):
yard line between the hash mark, looking for a lane, now cuts it
left side across the twenty five andtackled near the twenty seven. Maybe the
twenty eight yard line as good coveragehere from the Ramblers. Tate was there
alongside Kavasovich, and well, atsome point it's got to get going here
for the Wolves. After a goodopening drive that went ten plays seventy seven
(01:08:20):
yards at end ended on an Allenthree yard touchdown run. They need to
get back to that quickly or elseit's going to be a long drive home
going west here tonight. Oh yeah, especially just how well they started this
game off. It looked like thisis going to be a shootout. But
team between these two teams a goodground and pound running, but just haven't
(01:08:41):
really shown it since. And nowthe ball is out here, Regis says
that they have it. The whistlewas late and it is Rage's ball.
Alan fell onto the back of atackler there, I think that was Kavasovich,
and he fell on top of somebodyon top of him was ripping the
ball out, and the line judgecame in right away and pointed Regi's ball
for stribe of the half and Registurns him over and just like that,
(01:09:03):
the Wolves hopes being dash and thatis apps. I mean that lets the
era out of any balloon that wasfilled up for the Wolves. Holy cow.
Yeah, imagine imagine having this verybeautiful halftime speech by a coach and
then suddenly just turning it over firstalmost one of the first two plays of
that game. Just not the wayyou want to start in. Just really
(01:09:26):
a great opportunity for the Ramblers.Put this game away, and right up
the middle, it's costco Oh hegets hit hard across the twenty five and
taking out at the twenty one yardline. Drive starting at the thirty three,
so he gets a twelve yard gainto start the drive. But whoa.
Regis moves the chains here to startthings up. Costa breaks it off,
gets hit hard by Allen. I'msure he's a little angry there after
what happened on that fumble. Ohyeah, absolutely, he's letting that all
(01:09:51):
go out there. Man. Thatchoked me up for a second there.
That that was a big hit outup here. Holy cow, that guy
hit so hard. I felt itup here. Inverted double wing here,
Weisenberger with a hard count, pitchesfrom right to left. That's Tate.
Tate's got a whole He's of theten, breaks the tackle to the end
zone, touchdown, Ramblers twenty oneyards two plays and just like that,
(01:10:15):
Regis takes a thirty five to eightlead on Elmwood Plump City, eleven o
nine left to go here in thethird quarter, and talking about wind out
of the sales, you could justsee it there on that drive. No
one wanted to hit Tate on thatone. Especially the safety there had a
chance to get a tackle before theend zone and just kind of reached his
arms out and then just pulled themright back in. Didn't go for that
(01:10:36):
tackle. Regius will go with theirbackup kicker and Noah Labor call him back
up. Pretty much shared the dutiesall season long, and the extra point
kicks. He'll make that one andjust like that, thirty six to eight
Regis with the lead, eleven onine left to go, third quarter.

Your home for the Ramblers is ClassicRock ninety two one. Welcome back in
once again here too, Carson parkO Claire. Regis turns over on with
Plum City. On one played. They take two plays to run it endo
(01:11:46):
the end zone from thirty three yardsout of twenty one yard touchdown run from
Everett Tate. Evert Tate now withhis six touchdown of the season, just
like that Oaklai Regis thirty six toeight. Don't look now, Dan,
but one more touchdown. We're gonaa run clock situation in the playoffs,
which they don't see a ton of. As Regis kicks this one off Alan
toward the five that's gonna angle outof bounds by about what two three yards.
(01:12:09):
It's a really good kick from Gonzalesand then all of a sudden kind
of took a sideways bounce and thatwill put Elmwood plump City out at the
thirty five yard line with good fieldposition, Yeah, and great awareness there
by Alan to just kind of letthat ball bounce out of ground how to
bounce He saw that kind of startto take that right angle first down on
the thirty five. So now theWolves will take over at the thirty five
(01:12:30):
again. One fumble from Allen oneplay just kind of laid up on top
of Kavasovich on that last drive andRamblers ripped it out of there. And
I remember there was a fumble earlierin this first half that Reis thought they
had and the referees may have blownthe whistle a little bit quickly. They
didn't on that last play, andwe just got that turnover. And now
I'm with Plump City. I mean, it's all or nothing. This is
(01:12:51):
your season right here. Got toget something done down thirty six to eight.
They're going to bring out everything here, a little reverse play running right
to let and breaking some tackles outacross the forty five up near midfield.
It was the other tailback there andRiley Beckell and he gets all the way
out to the forty eight yard linefor thirteen yard game and they're running reverses
(01:13:11):
they're gonna run every trick in thebook to try to get a touchdown here.
Oh yeah, you don't want togo out going down forty to fifty
to a You want to at leastput up a little bit of a fight
here. And that's exactly what theWolves are doing. And who knows,
maybe you even have a chance tocome back in this one. But you
can't just roll over. The thirdquarter just started once again. The direct
(01:13:32):
snap goes to Alan Allen running studentbody right, he'll get across the fifty
and he's dragged down from behind thereby Burdick after he gets to the forty
seven. About a five yard gamethat was very similar to the kind of
runs we saw on the first driveof this game. Second and five now
coming up for Holm with Plumb City. Yeah, if you're the Ramblers,
you can't. You can't just kindof coast on this. This is a
(01:13:54):
plumb with City team, or withPlumwood City team that is really trying to
fight back, battle back in thiseven though they're down, even though their
spears might not be the highest, they're still gonna take whatever you guys give
them on defense. And if you'rethe Ramblers, you can't be doing that,
because that's how comebacks start. Tenminutes left to play, third quarter,
regis leading thirty eight, six toeight. You're over Elmoo Plump City.
(01:14:15):
There's a bobbled snap on look likea reverse play, and this is
gonna go for a huge loss.As Owen Cober is tackled up back into
Elmwood Plump City territory. They'll givethem four progress to the forty four yard
line. That is about a nineyard loss on the play. And now
third and fourteen coming up here forElmwood Plump City, and right as they
(01:14:36):
had a little bit of momentum onoffense, another misque there a fumbled ball
in just you cannot have that happenover and over again. You need to
be able to understand those mistakes andadjust from them. But we just haven't
seen that a lot from this offensebecause they've been doing this quite quite often
(01:14:56):
throughout this game. Now we seeEdgar now is starting to pull away from
Glenwood City. They only twenty nineto nothing now early third quarter. They've
added some early touchdowns in that one. So it very much so looks like
whoever wins this game is gonna betaken on. Edgar is a faker reverser.
Allen running right now, countering left. He's only got a couple and
he had a third and fourteen andhe doesn't even get back to the original
line of scrimmage. He's about ayard short of that three yard game on
(01:15:18):
the play fourth and eleven from whenPlumb City and we're gonna find out if
it's co time. I gotta imagineit is. They're actually gonna bring the
punt unit out here down by whattwenty eight points, and it's a tough
call, but I you know, eight forty four left, this is your
season. You gotta something's got tohappen in your favor at this point.
Oh yeah, definitely. And Iwould watch out for a fake if I'm
(01:15:40):
there's always a chance for it here, and especially if they give it right
back. The way that the Ramblersoffense has been moving, it's almost seemingly
like it's going to be a touchdown. Well again, for me, it's
one of those who cares if youlose by thirty, you'll lose by fifty.
You loss is a loss. Yougot to go for it here.
But they are gonna kick this one. It is not a good kick end
over En and it takes it kindof backs up almost at the twenty eight
(01:16:01):
yard line, and that'll just beabout a twenty five yard punt on that
one for Zellinger, and so Regiswill take over at their own twenty eight
and they've, I mean, they'vegot a chance right now to get this
to a running clock with eight thirteenleft to go in the third quarter,
with one more touchdown here and lookingat some other scores around, got Manomnie
(01:16:23):
versus River Falls Monomie. He's gotthe ball up fourteen to seven on River
Falls there. That's a pretty goodgame to be watching. Chiple falls and
Hudson hasn't come back from halftime yet, but that one's going to be a
really interesting one to see. Potentialupset here chiple Falls and Hudson and Chip
was what fourteen to seven and thenyep and Boysville up twenty eight to three
(01:16:43):
in this third quarter. Here isthe delayed handoff to Albi and the inverted
double wing breaks a tackle thirty fiveand he pushes a pile up to the
forty maybe the forty one late flagcoming in. This looks like it could
be a face mask on Elmwood PlumbCity and add a couple of yards on
there as well. So a thirteenyard up on me a twelve yard run,
and this is the old five yardface mass variety, and so we'll
(01:17:04):
be called by James Cunningham. Fiveyard on the defense. HET's gonna get
up in a soapbox for two seconds. They can get rid of that five
yard and just make it a fifteenyard like every other league in the history
of humans. That would be greatgoing into next season. We'll get on
the rules committee and change that. But a five yard face mask puts it
(01:17:25):
up to the forty five yard lineof regis. So off we go.
Twelve yard game plus five and nowthe pitch here, this is going to
be right out, going right toleft. He had a huge hole.
They're trying to rip the ball outfrom behind. He gets across the fifty
up near the forty seven maybe theforty six yard line, before Sageeny drags
him down along with Outh as well, and he will get a nine yard
(01:17:45):
gain. And they say there's apenalant. Where is the penalty flag?
Do you see it? I don'tsee it. I'm not seeing it.
Hayden Maxwell and logan Joe Roach rathermaybe seeing things. He's getting like me
all of a sudden start to seethings out there. There is no flag
on the play despite the announcement sevento twenty seven left to go here.
Third quarter reaches thirty six and ElmwoodPlum City eight inverted double wing again.
(01:18:10):
Here comes the pitch. This isMeyer right up the gut forty and he
is dragged down by two tacklers,so the thirty seven yard line cut right
up the middle. Zellinger tackles himalong with a couple others, and there's
a whistle in Elmwood Plum City isgonna take a time out because I think
coach Pertzer could kind of see thateverybody's sucking wind out there, and he
(01:18:30):
can tell this is I mean, this is the game, right, this
is your season. And I thinkmy guess is he's gonna this is gonna
be last, the last hurrah. He's gonna get into him here a little
bit and say, hey, ifyou want to keep things going, if
you want a chance, this isthe moment right now, you got to
stop them or else it's a runningclock and it's pretty much over. Yeah,
and you play for the level ofthe game. You're not getting paid
out there. You're doing this becauseyou love it. And that's exactly what
(01:18:50):
he's gonna tell him. He's gonnatell him if you guys want to get
out there in the huddle, man, you need to get out there and
give him give him the pep talk. Right. I'm no coach, I'm
no ref. I just talked aboutscores, right, But you can you
know he's gonna just go He's gonnarip in the He knows exactly what this
team is. He's watched them allseason. They snuck into the playoffs just
based on that last game of theseason which they were able to pull off
(01:19:13):
a win and just pull right in. This is their season right here,
This is the last chance, theirlast time. They're all gonna probably play
as a team together with the amountof seniors that they have in this lineup
right now. Parker Betchel, he'sgonna be gone. Riley Betchell, he's
gonna be gone. Mason Clair,he's gonna be gone. These guys love
playing with each other out here onthe field, and they had such a
(01:19:34):
great culture together. They need totry and tighten up and really stick it
to them. Regis is just tryingto figure out a way to win right
now, and they've got a chanceto go downfield. Here Weisenberger trying to
get away from the pressure to pass. Now he ducks out of some tackles.
He's gonna run thirty five thirty atthis scramble. Holy Kyle looks like
fran Turkinen out there. Is he'srolled up at the thirty. Hopefully he's
(01:19:54):
okay. For Saron, I thoughthe got rolled up on by Brett Kappa.
He is all right, and hegets to the thirty line. How
about dad scramble a little six yardgame where it looked like it should about
about a six yard loss. Ohyeah, definitely. I thought they had
him in the backfield there. ButWeisenberger making some magic plays out there.
You don't really see that often fromhim, as he's more he's not really
(01:20:14):
much of a scrambler, but whenhe gets in space, he can really
make some moves. I sounded likean old man there, I said,
Pratt. Let's let's call that aPatrick Mahomes scramble. That's all. That's
a little more up to date.Second and four now, and here's the
delayed handoff to Alby up the gutlooks like he's close to the first down.
I think they say his knees downabout a half a yard short at
the twenty eight yard line, Sothird and short coming up here for the
(01:20:35):
Ramblers after about a three yard runthere for Albi and just something else to
know. We talked about it earlier, but man, you've seen it all
over this game. The running backdepth on this Ramblers squad is just deep.
It is theirs so many running backsthat just get out there and can
just make him play for you.You got Alby, Tate, Costca Andrews.
(01:20:58):
They've all made such a contribution onthis team tonight. And there's Andrews.
He's going to try to bring atackle at the twenty and gets pulled
down from behind by Bertzer at aboutthe nineteen yard line. That's a fourteen
yard game. Of course, partonme is a little less than that.
I don't think they'd updated on theboard there, but nonetheless a first down
here for the Ramblers as they areinto the red zone with five forty five
left to go third quarter. It'sRegis thirty six and Elmwood plumb City eight,
(01:21:21):
and Regis is a touchdown away frombasically putting this one on ice here
tonight and running or riding a runningclock rather into the level two of the
playoffs. There goes Weisenberger under centerand verted double wing once again. The
pitch will go to Meyer left toright up to the fifteen, dragging some
white jerseys with them up near thefourteen maybe the thirteen yard line. Ouputs
(01:21:45):
there along with Claire dragging him downfrom behind in about a six yard game
on first downs. And this hasjust been a testament as to how great
they're blocking has been up front. They've been winning in the trench as there.
And to be able to pull offan inverted wing offense, you need
to have great blocking otherwise you're gonnaget trapped in the back of every single
(01:22:09):
fine that offensive line so under Imean not underappreciate it, but just not
you know, not talked about enough. His here's Ethan Eager into the game.
He had some touchdowns last week againstOscio Fairchild and he'll get a couple
here up to the eleven yard line. The senior got to start last week
in the running back crew on asenior night and had himself to TDS and
making that tackle with Logan out thesix and ninety pounds freshman. On the
(01:22:31):
defensive end, he's had a prettygreat season with himself. They've got some
freshmen and sophomores. This seems youknow, they're gonna lose some guys to
graduation, but Alma Plump City. He's got a lot of really really talented
guy's coming back next year as well. Oh yeah, that's for sure.
Especially on the offensive end. Weisenbergerwith a pitch right to left, that's
tate to the ten, he's tothe five, and he's fun down part
(01:22:54):
m Cosca rather at about the three, maybe the two yard line, give
him an eight yard gain on theplanes first end goal nowt here for Regis
and they are feeling it here inlevel one and that, you know,
they just want to put this gameaway and really allow some more of their
guys to get off on the bench. And they've we've already seen a couple
of guys that don't really get muchof a chance out there. Austin Rideout
(01:23:15):
had a couple of carries, BrandonMeyer had some carries too. He's had
a little bit more than Austin Rydeouthas. But either way, they're gonna
get as many players as they canout there, just to continue and get
some more experience for their guys. They're gonna give this to the tailback that
was not Albi's to the goal Liney'sclose. They bring Costco in their no,
apardon me, that was Verdick.Rather, they brought in as a
backup kind a tailback in that inverteddouble wing. So the first time we
(01:23:40):
haven't seen Albion in that spot wesaw last week a few times for Oaklare
Regis Luke Betcher also in at thattailback spot in the inverted double wing.
But this time they go to Burdickon the place that could be a little
bit of an interesting wrinkle going intolevel number two, just trying to try
him out there, see if he'sa good option. Burdick in there as
(01:24:00):
well. We also see Terrace outon the left wing. Terra's gonna get
the pitch looking for a hole he'sin and Noah Terrace is in for what
I believe is his first touchdown ofthe season and he gets it. In
the playoffs here forty two to eight, Regius with the lead three Toho four
left to play here in the contestor in the third quarter, rather and
(01:24:25):
just like that, an extra pointaway for making this a running clock for
the rest of this game here tonightis labor is Onto attempting and you know
that's special for him to Labor's kickednot a good one, but it hooks
through. It was a line drive, but it skims over the bar.
And it is forty three to eight. Ramblers lead three to ZHO four left
(01:24:46):
to go. Third quarter. We'lltake a break be back right after this
here on the Ramblers Sports Network. This is so clear high school football on

Welcome back here to Person Park. Here tonight it is all read just
here in level one forty three toeight day lead down Wood Plump City.
Hey special thanks to our two producerstonight today Price on the radio side,
who's doing a great job as healways does, are on Classic Rock ninety
two to one. And to ourgood friend, our our man behind all
the controls, and that crazy mousethat he's got over there is at Cullenen
(01:25:58):
on our videos here tonight as well. Here's a kickoff for Regis and this
is scooped up over by Bertzer andhe's got a big lane. Look at
that speed across the forty forty fivetrying to make a move far sideline forty
he's got a couple of men tobeat and he's tripped up at the thirty
yard line of Oaklayer. Regis noflags on the play. That is the
fastest we've seen him run tonight, and that looked like almost an angry speed
(01:26:19):
over there from Bertzer as he getsdeep into regious territory. Oh yeah,
and even after the play he wasjust trying to roll over anyone that got
in his way. Great job byBertzer to take that angle on. Just
great awareness to be able to bouncearound. You know, this Wolves team
doesn't want to roll over, butman, it's so hard when you're against
(01:26:39):
such a well rounded team such asthe Ramblers. Both you and I said,
we thought this game was gonna probablygo like a forty to forty game.
But if someone made a turnover,if someone made a mistake, this
thing was gonna probably be over quick. And Allen running right here, he's
gotten lane to the twenty, gotone man to beat downfield, makes it
cut at the tenackle at the five, and he's in. Broke a tackle
(01:27:02):
from I and Andrews at the fiveyard line and just like that one play,
and boy, I tell you what, somebody challenged somebody because they came
out with a fire that we havenot seen. I don't even think we
saw that on the first drive thisgame when they scored, and just like
that, forty three to fourteen, now Ramblers lead. That was just an
amazing job there by Allen stayed upon his feet even though he grabbed and
(01:27:26):
just spun completely off and ran justright into the touch. Just a great
job there. Even though they're downin this game, they're showing that they
still have some fire and passion thatthey want to continue to play this season.
Alan trying to run around the edge, he has hit goes for the
end zone. I don't think hegot it. Looking for a signal and
he is. Believe he's just short. He did not get the two point
(01:27:48):
conversion that officials are talking about.This. Hold on a second, I
have not seen a signal yet. We're gonna wait till we go to break.
Oh, they're gonna give it tohim. They're gonna give him the
two point conversion. Ambler fans can'tbelieve it. I'm shocked, man,
I didn't think he got in.Maybe they're saying he stayed on top of
a body as and he never wentdown. Not really sure what happened,
(01:28:09):
but it's a two point conversion.Forty three sixteen Ramblers lead it. Yeah,
we kind of got our angle cutoff there with the amount of bodies
around that silence, so we reallycouldn't see what happened there. But he
might have. He might have barelygrazed that pylon for a second, or
even just crossed it while he wasdiving in. But either way, this
Poles team's not done obviously. Allright, we'll keep it here, trying
(01:28:31):
to decipher what the officials were talkingabout. I think we're gonna get ready
for the kickoff relatively quickly, Edgarleading twenty nine to nothing against Glenwood City,
and Edgar has the ball with tentwelve left to play in their contest.
So it looks like Edgar's moving on. I mean, just looks like
they're on the way to moving onhere tonight. It's not official yet,
but it certainly feels like the Ramblersare destined to be headed there a little
(01:28:56):
ways east on Highway twenty nine toEdgar. It should be a good one
next week, but still pump Cityif there was some aggression on that last
drive. I don't want to writethem off yet because they play like that
the rest of the way. Younever know. Yeah, they played with
some fire and passion, just somethingwe haven't seen for a lot of this
game. Well let's see if theygo on side kick, they won't just
(01:29:19):
kind of angle it to Andrews, who bobbles it, picks it up at
the twenty six, makes a movesideline at the thirty, and then he
is scrammed out of bounds at thethirty. So it made something out of
nothing there on that ball angling tothe sideline. So the thirty one yard
line is where Regis will start offthe drive. And this defense has been
the issue for most of this gamefor the Wolves, and not really they
(01:29:41):
have not been able to get astop at all this game. It's been
a score on every single drive. So if we if we saw that kind
of fire and passion from the offense, what are we going to see from
this defense? And how can thisRamblers team continue to show their dominance out
there on the offensive side of theball. Regius forty three, plumb City
sixteen nine left to go here inthe third quarter, and this is a
(01:30:04):
handoff to Tait, then he reversesit going right to left. There was
a face mask in there that didn'tget called. Gaska gets it to about
the thirty three. We saw aperfect angle of that looked like there was
a pretty clear fit the old fiveyard variety, if you will. They
didn't call it, though, andit's a two yard games second and eight.
Someday they'll change that rule just becausethey heard this broadcast. So I
(01:30:26):
had that much power in my life, Dan, I don't think a lot
would be different. Let's put itthat way, all right, second of
day from the thirty two yard line, Yeah, Owen Weisenberger pitches us to
ride out moving right to left,so he'll get to the thirty four turning
the legs and the whistle stops andtackled on the play by Zellinger along with
(01:30:46):
Saghini Man. About a third andsix coming up for Regis skin the running
clock is off. It's running rightnow, but with them getting it back
under thirty five, the block willstop on incomplete passes, play out of
bounds and so on. Were roundto take under a minute left to go.
Third quarter, Regis forty three,Wolves sixteen third and six from their
(01:31:06):
own thirty four. Weisenberger pitches Tatetrying to go student body right here.
He goes right side thirty four. He's got a laying first sideline fifty.
He's got one of me tighty ten. He is gone a sixty six yard
touchdown run Foreverett Taden. Just likethat, Reagius answers back with another touchdown
(01:31:30):
of their own. It's now fortynine to sixteen Ramblers and Everett's Tate's been
having an enormous game so far,and there's still a fourth quarter to go
right now, But man, wherethey They must have been embarrassed that the
Wolves march right down the field onthem. To score that touchdown because they
came out with a passion of theirown on the offensive end. Yeah,
(01:31:53):
Tate has a twenty one yard touchdownrun tonight and now a sixty six yard
touchdown run Labor to attempt the extrapoint. Want a much better on It

back in once again here to onParson Park at Oaklaire. Regis with a
fifty to sixteen lead on the Wolvesof Elmwood Plumb City thirty eight seconds remain
third quarter, no running clock again. There was a two point conversion for
(01:33:06):
the Wolves when they scored, onlyobviously the extra point for Regis. So
it's a thirty four point lead, which means we won't have a running clock
until or if and when Regius wereto score again without Elmwood Plumb City scoring,
So keep that in mind here.So elm With Plum City is still
in a situation where they can stopthe clock, but only thirty eight seconds
left here in this third quarter, and Regis has put up a fifty burger
(01:33:28):
here tonight, as this will finallybe scooped up about the thirteen yard line
by Burtzer. Let's see if hecan get that same speedy hat on his
last return, not the case thistime gets it across to twenty and maybe
twenty five called the twenty four yardline here as he has taken down by
Andrews Tate and a couple others.Bertz are with slow getting up, seems
to be fine, and it's firstand ten from the twenty four. Yeah,
(01:33:49):
we're just gonna have to see howthis Wolves team bounces back from that
last sixty six yard touchdown. Justa great job by Tate to bounce outside
and show off speed a bit.He can really run out there. But
let's see if this WHLD player,Regis Ramblers, can really just tighten up
and not allow something as big asthat, because wow, was that a
(01:34:11):
huge play for the Wolves. Regishas had seven drives tonight. They have
all ended in touchdowns as Allen handsit off on an end to round moving
off to the left side. Herein a big run across the thirty five,
across the forty and down here theforty three yard line is Riley Beckel.
It's a good gain of about nineteenmil call it eighteen on the play
(01:34:32):
is Rocko brings him down. Buta big game there. First down.
Now at they're own forty two,and we haven't seen much of Riley Beckell
throughout most of this game. Theyreally started incorporating him really recently, and
I mean throughout most of the season. He's been a pretty decent rusher one
hundred and forty two yards five pointnine yards of carrying a touchdown and more.
(01:34:54):
He's more of a receiving threat, however, with three receptions eighty nine
yards and two touchdowns on the receivingI'll take us to the end of the
third quarter, so fifty to sixteen. Regis well in control at the moment.
Elmwood Plump City trying to put upone or two last efforts here as
we go into the fourth corner,O heay quick, great come back right

Classic Rock ninety two one. Welcomeback in once again, here to Carson
Park, Oak Claire. Regis leadingfifty to sixteen. As we get set
for the start of the fourth quarter. Elmwood Plum City with the ball out
they're on forty two. They'll moveright to left here in quarter number four
mentioned in some scores, he there'ssome interesting ones in Division one in the
area. Chipwa Hudson tell us aboutthat game, Dan oh, yeah,
(01:36:20):
Chipway. They had Hudson beaten rightdown on them all the way to the
thirty yard line, but then gota turnover. And I have been absolutely
driving on a Hudson team that's undefeatedin their conference. I know what it
is about Hudson or about Chippewa. For Hudson, they're kind of the kryptonite
is. Here's a direct snap herefor Elmwood Plum City. The handoff we'll
(01:36:42):
go to logan off on the rightside. Everyone came from Zellinger who took
the direct snap, and he getsa loss of a couple back to the
forty yard line as we are intothe fourth quarter here. But I mention
that only because Chipwa when they playedHudson the first time, they lost only
thirteen to eight at Hudson, andnow they're leading Hudson, a team that
yeah, went eight and one, they were seven to all the Big Rivers
(01:37:04):
conference champion, and they're in dangerof going out in the first round.
First level here tonight. That's wildscore their monominee up, but it sounds
like they're up big in their gameon level one as well. Oh yeah,
they're up twenty eight to seven. And another similar game to this one
Boyceville, who's really just dominated clearLake through and through thirty four to three.
(01:37:25):
In that one. In the fourthquarter, there is a quick time
out here. They had to getthe trainer across the field to take a
look at one of the Wolves playerswho had to run from the Regi's sideline
to the Wolf's sideline. Another endaround play. They're gonna get this to
Beccle on the far side. He'sgot the sideline across the fifty and he's
ushered out of bounds at about theforty yard line of Oaklaire reagis no flags
on the play. That's about anineteen eighteen yard game. We'll see where
(01:37:48):
they market. But a good runthere for Riley Beckle. Yeah, and
Riley Beckele really starting to make aname for himself out there. This is
going to be his last season ifthey don't make make some wild comeback.
But he's been doing pretty great sincehe stepped into this game. Just really
kind of showing off his speed outthere and kind of beating the Ramblers around
(01:38:09):
the edge at chiple A team. One more note on them, and they
finished the season I believe four andfive if I remember correctly, So they
had a losing record and they havea chance to knock off a one seed.
Darren Hudson, here's a hant ora run for Allen up to gout.
He's got a really good one thatlooks like it's enough for the first
down. Get him eleven yards upto the thirty yard Line'll move the chains,
top the clock to move those aswell. Eleven zero three left to
(01:38:30):
go, fourth quarter, fifty tosixteen. Regius leads here in level one.
Yeah, going off what you justsaid, Chip with falls four and
five and three and four in conference. So they were one of those bubble
teams that barely snuck into the playoffsand now have the chance to be one
of the top dogs in all inall football standings out here, I'm sure
there's a number of cliches we coulduse with that. What chip in a
(01:38:50):
chair right again? Why not us? Why not now? That sort of
thing? I'm sure that was themessage is Now we got a whistle and
I wonder if the offside going tobe called here on regis I wonder if
bertz are on that last return gothurt. And that is why we're seeing
Zellinger in the game right now.Is the other of that wishbone tailback?
(01:39:13):
You got Alan and Zelinger in there, and there's no Bertzer at the moment.
Remember that last play that he wasin was that return He kind of
maybe got rolled up on a littlebit there at the end. I wonder
if that's why he's out and whythe trainer had to run over to take
a look out. Yeah, hehobbled off. He didn't look too good.
There's Alan running right looking for thefirst down on first and five and
he's close to it on the rightside. It's about four on the play
(01:39:38):
in that wishbone formation. A coupleof wolves again slow to get up.
Rocco was in on the stop.Second and one, ten, sixteen left
to go, fourth quarter, andthere's wolves who are hobbling off the field
right now. As you see ifyou're watching us on the Ramblers Sports Network,
they look a little gas, theylook a little tired. And it's
(01:39:58):
also the other thing, it's we'vedropped probably about ten degrees since game time,
if not more than that. We'redown in the mid forties. You
can feel it up here in thebooth too. No wind, but it's
a chance for some rain later tonight, so you can almost feel that new
front coming in as Allen hands itoff on an end around. They missed
the first tackle, but they won'tmiss the second. On out. They'll
get him all the way back tothe twenty eight maybe the twenty nine yard
(01:40:19):
line. That's about a six sevenyard loss on the play. Andrews In
on the step along was sembling Costathere as well. We'll mark him to
the twenty eight yard line and it'llbe third and about eight here for Elmwood
Plumb City and something to note. This is primarily their starting defense for the
Ramblers, so this is still stillthe starting team out there. Yeah.
(01:40:44):
Now we see Bertzer check back intothe game, so Zellinger heads off.
Berts are trying to give it allhe can again, I'm sure not feeling
too great after the last return.Berts are and Allen wishbone formation there one
receiver right tight end lined up leftbacked an off balance formation as well,
and Bertzer fumbles the ball he's gotto go back to get it. Allen
scoops it up at the forty anddropped back of the forty three yard line.
(01:41:08):
Chase Kaska comes in and makes anexclamation point kind of stop. It's
fourth and forever and the punt unitis out and that might as well be
the white flag at this point witheight forty four and the clock running left
to play reaches up fifty to sixteenand you can almost book a trip to
level two already here for the Ramblers. Yeah, especially because that has happened
(01:41:30):
multiple times throughout that game. Forthis for this Wolves team, they just
have not been able to handle thatsnap whatsoever. It's just been a complete
issue and has just led to somany turnovers, to so many stopped drives
that you thought might have a momentumshift for that. You remember back to
the second drive of this game, after that first drive is there's a low
snap punt will be got into hereand be taking about the twelve yard line.
(01:41:54):
It's muffed. It's muffed back byHaas and he'll fall on it at
the twelve. So Wolves were notthere in time to get to it,
but has will fall onto it.But you remember back to the second Elmwood
Plum City drive. Right, theywent down, Regis goes down, scores,
Plum City goes down and scores Regiusscores again. Right, so it's
fifteen to eight, and you thought, okay, they can just answer back,
(01:42:15):
just like they did it on thefirst drive. But they did that
exactly. They fumbled one of thesnaps, they went backwards a little bit,
and ever since then, it's justfelt like this offense for the Wolves
has been going backwards and Regis isjust pounding it going right downhill the entire
way. And that's the thing aboutthis Ramblers defense. If you if you
have a mistake, if you havea misque out there, they're gonna make
you pay for that. You can'tjust expect to be able to come back
(01:42:38):
from a random missqueue and expect,oh yeah, it's all gonna be fine.
I can just run up the middleand do whatever. This is a
top tier defense in the league here, and you just cannot allow that to
happen if you're gonna try and winthis game. Drive starts at the thirteen
and Zer and Chase Gusher rather runsit up the gut for about four on
first down to the seventeen yard line, second and six coming up here for
(01:43:00):
Regis. Fifty to sixteen. TheRamblers lead was seven to forty left to
play, and despite having an officialrunning clock, I'm sure Regis going to
do a steady die to just keepingthis right up the gut, up the
middle, not even messing with thesidelines and trying to run as much clock
as possible. High pitch there. But it is handled and the run will
go across the twenty to about thetwenty three yard line. The carry for
(01:43:21):
Nick Helland who gets his first carryup the game forro Claire Regis, and
he'll get it out to the twentythree yard line for a six yard game
and a first down as they moveda six. Yeah, only five carries
on the season for him, butfifty six yards that's almost ten. That's
over ten yards of carry there,So no slouches in this running back room.
(01:43:43):
They have plenty of playmakers out thereand plenty of depth. We know
that this Rambler team is always hasall those kind of running backs. And
now I run to the right sidehere and that is John Cole with the
carry now, and they'll continue toget a few more guys onto the tally
sheet to the thirty yard line, give him seventy yards. You're going what
(01:44:05):
eight, nine, ten, elevenrunning backs deep right now? And you're
still rattling off those these big games. And the Elwin Plum City wants to
time out to stop the clock withsix forty three remaining here in the fourth
quarter. Edgar is a winner tonightthirty six to nothing against Glenwood City.
You can put that one in thebook. So Edgar will advance. And
(01:44:25):
the winner of this game, whichlooks like it's going to be Regis,
has a date on the road nextweek against Edgar, and that should be
a fun one. Now again, the winner of that game will play the
winner of likely Boysville. They wereup big on clear Lake at last check,
correct, yep, right now,up forty one to three on clear
Lake in the fourth quarter. Theyhave the ball so more than are they're
kicking off the ball. So theyjust scored. They're looking to wrap up
(01:44:49):
that game. Rambler's looking to wrapup this game, However, a team
that's not ready to wrap up.Hudson, who just went down another score
to chip the falls now now thechance to put up go up fourteen,
twenty to seven, Chipple at themoment, at the moment, if they
can hit this extra point twenty oneto seven, and wow, that that
(01:45:11):
could be a really interesting shake uphere. Is really that'll be one of
the one of the things I'm surethey'll talk a lot about on the Football
Friday Night show over on Newstock WV. All Right, backups into the game
now for Regis on offense here onsecond and three, and there is illegal
motion. Regis is going to goback five yards Ramblers, bringing Joey Bramer
(01:45:31):
out there at the quarterback spot.He is just a freshman six foot one
and forty seven pounds, and he'sgetting I'm sure some very valuable memorable experience
here in his freshman season running theship here for Regis. And he'll have
right out as his right wing, and I believe Ethan Eager is his left
wing, and they will give itto the tailback instead. And that's the
(01:45:54):
man we talked about a little bitearlier from last week. And Luke Betcher
who runs it up the gut fora couple Yeah. Now, a third
down at about six coming up fromthe twenty seven yard line, six twenty
six remaining here in the fourth cornerof the clock ticking. The other game
to keep your eye on is afour to five matchup Spring Valley against Hurley.
We'll see if we can maybe trackdown a score on that one as
(01:46:16):
well. But there's a chance fora little Dune Saint Croix matchup next week
between Boyceville and Spring Valley and Leveltwo that should be another good rematch in
that one is here's a pitch aroundfrom right to left edge and some running
room here for Stramaut on the edgeto the thirty five and he gets to
the thirty six yard line thirty sevenyard line before he's taken down ten yard
gained that time, and Regis movesis six with six minutes remaining here in
(01:46:40):
the contest, and it's getting closerto a win here for the Menomine Mustangs
who are trying to hold off theRiver Falls from making any kind of a
comeback. Four minutes here, runningclock running down here with them leading twenty
eight to seven on River Falls,So that could be another thing to watch
too. Fifty to sixteen, Regiusleads here over Elmwood Plumb City a whistle
(01:47:01):
and another illegal procedure here on Regisget a little bit of a head start,
good ball far and they will backup five yards. With five forty
one left to play here in thefourth quarter, Regis up by thirty four.
No running clock at the moment. We did have one earlier today,
but it was wiped off by atouchdown from Elmwood Plumb City. So again,
those are the scores we're keeping oureye on. But it will be
(01:47:23):
Edgar likely versus Regis next week inLevel two. Regis will have to go
on the road. You don't seethat often. Usually they get the first
two, if not the first threegames at home. But getting a three
seed, they've got to go onthe road in week number two of the
playoffs. Currently Spring Valley against Hurleyup twenty nine sixteen are the Cardinals on
the North Stars, and there's alittle reverse handoff here that gets blown up
(01:47:46):
in the backfield. They're trying toget it to Strom and he gets tackled
relatively quickly there by Brett Kopp, and so second and long coming up here
for Regis. Back at the thirtyone yard line, talking about sixteen maybe
maybe even seventeen, with where they'reat five ten left to go. As
we tick down here in the fourthquarter, remember in about a half an
(01:48:09):
hour. You can tune into footballFriday night over on Newstalk WMQ. That's
one oh six point three FM inthe Oaklear area, an AMA eighty in
the Monomini area, and again onthe iHeartRadio app nine thirty to eleven.
That's a state wide postgame show thatwill be a company live for Milwaukee.
So here's a handoff up the gutfor Betcher forty and he gets taken out
at the forty four yard line.He gets all that penalty yardage and lost
(01:48:30):
the yardage back and more and bringsup a third and much more manageable here
about a thirteen fourteen yard game trippedup in the forty three yard line,
and it'll be third and about fourhere for Regis with four point thirty three
left to play in the clock tickinghere in the contest. And is just
so interesting to see just so manyrunning backs being able to contribute in such
ways. Usually you see there's alwayslike one running back that just cannot get
(01:48:55):
much going for himself out there. But man, most of these rambler running
backs've been able to just get chunkyards no matter where it is. All
right back to pass here goes. The freshman throws this one over the middle.
It's deflected and incomplete. As Brahmerwas looking downfield trying to find his
receiver there Ben Boltz, but notable to get it to him. We're
(01:49:16):
pretty well covered down healed by ElmwoodPlump sitting him for the first time tonight,
the Ramblers are gonna have to punt. They have scored on every drive
a touchdown. Tonight, this willbe the first time that they have not
Shula, who is into the game. Alex Shula have been battling injuries this
season and he gets back into puntingthis situation. He was a very good
punter before that injury. He hasnot played a ton tonight, but boy,
(01:49:40):
if he can get in on theoffensive and defensive side of the ball
next week, look for Regis tobe in good shape. There's that beautiful
spiral. Takes a Regis bounce atthe twenty, inside the fifteen and it
rolls down to the twelve yard line. There a thirty eight plus seven.
That is a forty five yard punt. Forer Alex Shula, and you can
tell them what kind of a differencehe can make. Even in the special
(01:50:00):
teams game. When he's healthy enableto punt. Yeah, and it looked
like he'd been waiting to punt allgame long. But the way he kicked
that ball. He hasn't seen alot of action out here on the field,
but what he does, he alwaysis able to make a play.
But that six foot five, onehundred and eight pound frame just an absolute
star to watch for, especially inthis upcoming game against Edgar. I mean,
(01:50:25):
barring a four minutes, I thinkI don't think you're in trouble at
this point. Yeah, trouble. You said that in the first out.
At this point, I think you'rein You're in good shape to say that.
As h Zellinger, who is backas the tailback along with Alan Allen,
fakes the end around and tries torun right side to the fifteen bowling
over defender at the twenty taking downup near the twenty two. Maybe the
(01:50:46):
twenty three looks like he's got firstdown yardage. A few the backups in
for Regis here on the defensive sideof the ball. We'll try to get
you all those names. I believethe man of the attack was John Cole
or you're gonna say Mason McCoy wasin as well. First down here for
elmwood Plum City with three forty twoin the clock, running left to go,
fourth quarter reaches fifty elm Plum Citysixteen and here's a scoring update for
(01:51:08):
you. Eurly trying to make alate comeback into this game. They were
just down twenty nine to twenty nineto thirteen. I believe in now that's
a twenty nine to twenty four gamewith two minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Then with the ball close one thereBaldwin Woodville also winning over Ellsworth tonight
twenty three to six. Thanks toour friend David Ville for passing along.
That score is as a run tothe right side across the twenty five maybe
(01:51:30):
the twenty six yard line here forelmwood Plum City as they will try to
continue to move the chains as we'reabout to take under three minutes left to
go. Hey, you're listening toClassic Rock ninety two one FM WMQ Menominio
Claire chip will Falls Rock nine twoone dot com and of course for free
on the iHeartRadio app. Ben You'rewatching us right here on YouTube and Facebook
and all that good stuff as partof the Ramblers Sports Network. Again,
(01:51:53):
special thanks to our two producers workinghard tonight, Dan Price on the radio
side, Saint calling in on thevideo side this evening, trying to take
this big video set up on theroad next week to Edgar. We'll see
what happens. We're gonna at leasttry. I think we're gonna give it
a shot. We'll be making somecalls this week because here's a run of
the left and Regis has that oneread leg a book about a two yard
(01:52:14):
loss on the play on the runfor Coobert and into the backfield there for
Regis to make the stop was TylerGailey and right out there as well.
Loss makes it third and eight prettyfun. I mean, you know you're
get in the playoffs and you're afreshman sophomore. You know you imagine going
into every playoff game it's gonna beclosed for I'm probably not gonna get a
(01:52:35):
chance to play tonight, and allthese freshman sophomores getting to play. And
I know it's not even not necessarilyfun from Plum City, but some of
those guys getting in and on theRegis side, this is this is the
stuff you remember, right, Ohyeah, definitely, and it's great for
the experience factor, because who knowsyou come back into the playoffs and you've
already played a few snaps. It'sa great point. Running left here is
(01:52:56):
Zellinger and he'll get to the thirtythirty one yard line again. Galen in
on the stop Cole there as well. Fourth down and about two, and
i'd imagine that Elmwood Plumb City. We'll just stay on the offensive side of
the ball. With one thirty fiveleft to go here in the fourth quarter,
Saint chroy Central beats Altuna. Howabout this sixty two to six in
the first round of the playoffs.Don't look now, though, Unters creeping
(01:53:20):
back up on Chipple boys. Ohboy, just scored another touchdown of their
own. Hashtag raiter nation right therethere. Hope for Worth to come back.
Fourth and two. Here's a runto the right side looking for the
first Oh, I think he gotit with that last little effort there.
Owen Cober on the direct snap, needed two, He got three, and
(01:53:41):
they'll move the chains stop the clockfor a moment, but the riding on
the wall here with one to eightleft to go here in the fourth quarter.
See tune. We'll have a shortpostgame show for you as well,
after a quick one minute break wrapup everything, we'll see if we can
get Brian Brenner's attention up here. But my guess is we'll leave that for
a conversation for next week before Leveltwo Wolves. As we tick to fifty
(01:54:04):
two, fifty one, fifty leftto go here in the contest, are
he just gonna win another Level onegame? As here's the handoff big hole,
left side, forty forty five onthe handoff to Loganow, he'll get
ten in a first down that'll stopthe foc momentarily. Forty one seconds remain
here in the fourth quarter fifty tosixteen, Regius leads and they even though
(01:54:28):
it's primarily some of the younger, some of the backups in this game,
for Regis on that defense, it'sit's definitely prideful for your young guys to
be able to make some kind ofmoves against a pretty stout Ramble team,
even if they're young. And thisRambler defense still is holding its own for
the most part. It is anext man up mentality here at Regis,
(01:54:49):
and you see that even here withthose second third string guys. And here's
the direct snap to Cobra running rightand he will drag a tackler across the
fifty to about the Regius forty nine, the forty eight as right out gets
to stop. Yeah with three, with two, with one, that's gonna
do it. Brian Brenner is outto some handshakes. So the game is
over. So Regis, we'll moveon with a fifty to sixteen win here
(01:55:14):
over Elmwood Plumb City. Tonight. They will take on Edgar next week in
Level two of the playoffs. We'lltake a one minute break. We'll come
back with our post game show hereon Classic Rock ninety two one and the
Regis Rambler Sports Network. Right afterthis here on the Rambler Sports Network.
The postgame show is next on ClassicRock ninety two to one one. Keys
(01:55:40):
those Auto, He'll find the rightcar for you. You only on Bird
Street and clear instrum true only onegame. Legit belove is that Akey.
(01:56:02):
Let's use a football metaphor in yourhome. You're the quarterback. Now,
who would you want in your frontline? Ass fault, No, the
fearsome form, rain, hail, wind and snow and blow right throw an
ass ball line for real protection. You want be Yorks fran metal roofy because
hit after hit, year after year. B Yorks Tran Metal Roofing will keep
(01:56:26):
you protected with a fifty year nonpro rated and transferable warranty two three seven,
twenty six seventy eight. Your homefor the Ramblers is Classic Rock ninety
two to one. Well back inHere to Oaklare, Regis Carson Park,
the Ramblers winning Level one fifty tosixteen over Elm with Plump City Pekadots and
down Zon's with the a Damp Priserproducer back in studio and of course in
(01:56:48):
Killing in Here on the Regis RamblersSports Network. Well Dan, a complete
game for Regis. There's one drivetonight that they did not score score on
and it was all touchdown in everydrive that they scored on here tonight.
Before we get to some scores fromaround the area. Just your impressions on
Regis with that kind of offense andwith how they shut down defensively after that
(01:57:11):
first drive. I mean, youknow, the old adage defense travels right,
all that kind of thing. Youget to the playoffs, that's gonna
be big. It just seems likean all round, really solid first game
for this Ramblers squad. Absolutely, and it's gonna be hard for any kind
of defense to match up against anoffense that can run this smoothly and can
utilize such a great depth of runningbacks that are all just great contributors out
(01:57:31):
on that's in those skilled positions.I mean, we talked about Ian Andrews,
ever Tait who had his home, big type of game out there,
Brandon elb who's kind of that bigground and pound guy that had some great
versus s feed out there, ChaseCostka, even some of the younger guys
went out there and made some playslike Austin riot On Brandon Meyer, I
mean in a touchdown from Terras aswell. Oh yeah, yeah, great
(01:57:54):
way to start his great way toget his first of the season. Yeah,
and it started off with an Andrewstouchdown run. Then remember that the
answered back with a three yard touchdownrun of his own made at eight to
eight. But after that, I'llbe a thirty two yard touchdown run Andrews,
a one yard touch on Costa fortyyard touchdown run was a twenty nine
to eight Regis lead at halftime overElmood Plumb City. Then Tate with would
get into it in the third quarter. That twenty one yard touchdown run made
(01:58:15):
it thirty six to eight. Afterthat Terrace a two yard touchdown run.
We saw a little bit of alife from Elmwood Plum City after that with
a touchdown of their own. Butthen Evertt taita sixty six yard touchdown run.
That was a nail for Elmwood PlumCity here tonight. So other scores,
as we mentioned Edgar with the wintonight, they win. I believe
it was thirty six to nothing.I got a written down somewhere on one
(01:58:35):
of these pieces of paper, butthe thirty six to nothing. So it'll
be Regis versus Edgar, likely atEdgar with them being the two seed next
week as the Ramblers will run offback to the locker room and celebrate this
one as well. So a bigmoment for them certainly. And then you
know, around the rest of theway, we saw Boyceville with a pretty
convincing win against clear Lake. How'sthat Spring Valley Hurley game doing there?
(01:58:56):
Dan Hurley was not able to completethe I'm back in Spring Valley wins at
twenty nine to twenty four. Butwe still have another game going on here
as Menominee finishes off their game againstRiver Falls twenty eight fourteen, So they'll
move on as well. Right now, chip a Fall's driving on Hudson after
they got the ball back twenty oneto fourteen. Chip a Fall still yeah,
they have the lead. How muchtime left in that one? Five
(01:59:18):
minutes fifty seconds? Wow? SoChip will looking for that upset bit against
Hudson again. You can catch allthe scores and all the analysis reports from
all over the state on Newstock WMQ. Again, that's AM eight eighty M
nominee one oh six point three fmnoplayer if you want to tune into the
radio dolls. If not, justtune in on the iHeartRadio app search for
WMQ Newstalk WMQ and at nine abouttwenty minutes or so, you can tune
(01:59:41):
into that show. That will bea report from this game. Uh if
I can get broken down and setup in the into the car in time.
Bye. I think nine thirty eightis when I'm told I'm going on
that show. So we got somefun happening here. Hopefully I know we'll
be I believe they're and Edgar onninety two one for sure. Hopefully we'll
have the video stream along with thisas well, at least be the hope
and we'll hopefully be on both ofthose also going into next week. So
(02:00:03):
just tune into Regis and to theiHeartRadio social media channels to know where we'll
be headed next week. But doplan on seven o'clock next week on Friday
and Edgar for the Level two gamefor Regis. All right, Dan,
been a lot of fun and hopefullywe get to do it again next week.
Oh yeah, it's gonna be agood one, all right. Certainly
is a special thanks as always toDan Price, our radio producer, and
(02:00:27):
for Zane Collen and our video producerhere on the Ramblers Sports Network here tonight.
The special thanks as well to BrianBrenner for joining us in our pregame
show as well, and to thehead coach of the Elmwood Plum City Wolves
in Mike Burtzer for Dan Zon's I'mpeacaduts and your final score here from Oaklaire,
Regis and Carson Park tonight, it'sthe Regis Ramblers fifty the Elmwood Plum
(02:00:47):
City Wolves sixteen. Is the Ramblersadvance to level too. Chris Connor,
I'm round and third and coming forhome
