Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is a special presentation of iHeartMedia Sports on Moose
Country one oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's time for high school football right here on Moose
Country one O six point seven FM, Moose one O
six dot com and iHeartRadio No Sports here alongside Dan Zones.
As always, we've got a good one for you here
as it is Round two of the Wisconsin WIAA Division
seven High School Playoffs as the undefeated two seed Boyceville

(00:29):
Bulldogs host the three seed at nine to one the
pepenn Alma Eagles. Uh Dan, happy to be alongside you
here in this one and as we get ready to go,
what are you looking for out of this game?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
It's gonna be a lot of It's gonna be a
lot of ground and Penn I'll be honest, but it's
gonna be a really who's able to establish this run more?
These two teams both nine and both have nine wins
on the season. Obviously, pepin Alma lost that one to
Cochrane Fountain City only fifteen to fourteen, though that one
point differential.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
It's gonna be an interesting.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Matchup to see how boys will fars against them, as
if they are able to get past this round it's
gonna really paint the picture for that Cochrane Fountain, City
of matt Up, for both teams.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Really, absolutely, it's gonna be a great game. Just one
loss between these two teams as they come into this
ball game. It's gonna be a hardball game. You've got
Boysville a very balanced team all sides of the football.
And meanwhile, Peppin All, I'm a really intent on running
that football and we're gonna have to see how that
plays out here in this one. But right now we're
gonna have to send it down to the field here

(01:29):
now for the singing of the star Spangled banner, as those.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Who are able to please stand and remove your hats
for the singing of the national anthem by Brook Benton.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Oh see can you see? Not what's so good?

Speaker 7 (02:02):
At the time light last? We ruise but stripes sand
broad stars than of the ruless foot for the rock
bos bat we're so geoly street.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
And the rocket thens for.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Gain bad.

Speaker 7 (02:38):
Not the little blood bruise steal. Oh SATs that stra
spaingle ban for the lane all.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
The and with that it's time for football. Then a
lot of anticipation here for this one. Boysville really trying
to continue that undefeated season, and Pep and Alva are

(03:21):
really trying to also make their way down to Camp
Randalls Stadium in Madison for State. As we get ready
for this one, I know we touched on it before
the anthems, but how do you think these two offenses
are going to play in this.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
It's really gonna depend on who It's gonna depend on
the trenches battle here. Honestly, you got two big team,
especially on the offensive line.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
You obviously have some great rushers out there.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
I mean, the biggest man of the hour right now
is just uh is there we Go Bergmann, who is
one hundred and seventy three rush on the ground, one
fifteen rushing yards and thirty one touchdowns. That's ten point
five yards per carry. He's a great rusher out there.
But that's not the only thing. They also have another

(04:06):
great rushing in Owen Post to twenty seven rushes, four
and forty five yards, five touchdowns. Those are great numbers,
but not only that. Owen Post also has four hundred
receiving yards too. He's their best receiver but also one
of their better runners too. They have a lot of
weapons out here, and if they get the accurate blocking
that they can Heapen's going.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
To really make it a hard bile for Boysville.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But for Boyceville, though, Boysville has a chance here to
show off their defense, to show why the twelve points
that Webster scored last week were the most in a
season are for this team, and show why that they're
such a strong defense out there, especially since they were
able to stop the ground game. Ronald Hatch got to
the best of them throughout a good chunk of the

(04:48):
game last game, but they still ended up winning fifty
to twelve despite his one hundred yard game.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Absolutely, that's certainly what we're going to be looking for
here is this Boysville defense too. They've been They've still
really strong all season long, but having a rusher like
prep as with furbishment eight hundred or excuse me, eighteen
hundred and fifteen yards in a high school season is
what they'll tell you is a lot.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
It is just getting too close to that two thousand
yard marker. No matter who you're playing against, you're gonna
be facing that competition every single week, no matter what conference,
and no matter what. Getting that eighteen hundred yard mark,
that's a big accomplishment not only on your offense, not
only on your running backs, but on that offensive line too.
And they've got some tough guys out there on that
offensive line. But on the defense, you got Helen draw

(05:36):
who's had a great season so far, fifty fifty four tackles, fourteen.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Tackles for lost, five sacks.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
He's gonna be a big factor in this game rushing
the passer, especially if they have to drop back, because
that's the thing I expect the most tonight is both
teams are gonna key in on that run game and
not allow either one to really get a flow going
on that offensive ground game.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
A week of anticipation is about to turn into execution
here in Boyceville, as we are just heast as we
can be to be alongside you. Hear it for this
one on the moose right now here in Boyceville, Wisconsin.
It's thirty nine degrees and it's what you might call drizzle,
light rain. Maybe alright, he's coming down. This is football,

(06:15):
whether dan is Boyceville getting ready to kick off to
peppin Alma, moving from left to right, Boyceville wearing their
purple helmets, black jerseys, and purple pants Meanwhile for pepin Alma,
it's the red helmets, white jerseys and red pants here
on the road. For the Eagles, well, it's two against three,
it's level two of the D seven playoffs, and it

(06:36):
is about as good of a matchup as we could
hope for. Dan. Happy to be alongside you with this one.
As we get ready to go, it looks like it
should be. That looks like Zach helendrung out there to
kick things away for Boyceville. He steps into it and
it's a long kick fielded inside the five and looks

(06:58):
like oh stumbling at a out the twenty two yard
line is the return man for Pepinalma. That's Owen Post,
the senior wing back. He's listed as just lost his
footing on some slick grass and they'll start off right
about the twenty four yard line on their first drive.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Yeah, and Owen Post had a massive game last last game.
On every aspect of the game. He had two hundred
and eight total yards. That includes his forty yard kick
return as well. He's a hard guy to take down,
but he's a dangerous player that if you let him
have any space, he will take you four of the
distance and he's he is a hard.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Player to stop.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
He also had about three touchdowns total in that game.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
It'll be first and ten from their own twenty three
here for Peppinal the Trenton Kroska is the quarterback. He
will hand the ball off to their running back. Looks
like that was Justin Bergman, the man we talked about
in that pregame show. Bergman gets about three yards running
towards the near sideline. Second and seven.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah, and that was just a great job there by
the edge to really set that edge and not allow
him to get any more dis stints on that outside.
It's gonna be a big thing for this boys Faul
team to not allow any outside runs because if Bergman
can get that kind of space, he will take the
He will take the top off the defense.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Second and seven after the game of three from Bergman,
prosco under center and once again it is a handoff.
Looks like Bergman again. Nope, it it was a fake
went to another back and it's a gain of about
six Gonna put him third and real short as it
was one post on that carry, it will be looks
like it'll be third and one third inches and he may.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Be listed as a wide receiver, but they line him
up all over the field. He's a dangerous gadget player.
He had five carries.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
He had five carries for ninety five yards last game
and a rushing touchdown.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
They're calling it first down. They're moving the sticks, so
it'll be first down and ten yards to go right
at their own thirty three four peppen Alma, no scores.
We get started in the first quarter as the handoff
once the game goes to Justin Bergman and Bergman able
to fight forward up past the thirty five to about
the thirty seven. I think they're gonna call that closer

(09:05):
to the thirty eight as looks like it's a gain
of about five second down.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yeah, and that was a bit of a generous spot
right there, I'm gonna be honest with you. Look like
he was down maybe a yard or too shorter than that,
but still able to get in between the tackles and
make something out of nothing. He got stonewalled almost to start,
but that's what he does. He just keeps grinding through
the contacts.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Broska under center here second and six after the game
of four. Officially, this time, the handoff goes to Cole mcquisten,
the senior running back, and mcquests met at the line.
In fact, he'll go backwards back to the thirty five.
We'll make it third and eight.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
And wow, what a great job there, getting one of
their better runners out there in Cole mcqwister. He's gonna
have a big, massive game in this one. But again,
just a good job by boycevill He's one of those
guys that is kind of in between, but he gets
his touches and he makes do with them.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Third and six, ball at the thirty seven yard line.
Here Bergman, one of the backs in the backfield for
peppin Alma. They've got to get all the way to
the forty three yard line for a new set of downs.
Crowd is loud here in Boyce philis Kroska barks out
the signals. It's a handoff once again up the middle.
That is Bergman, and he's not gonna get there, barely

(10:17):
to the forty and that will bring up fourth and four.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Wow, that was that was quite the stop right there,
and especially in a situation where you're expecting them to
maybe pass the ball there, they sold out for the
run and they absolutely did. The mic call stopped him
there grounded him there and now you.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Got the punt unit out for peppin.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Fourth and four ball at the forty five yard line.
Here for peppin Alma and it is the punt unit.
And so Boyceville's defense stands strong.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Obviously, gotta watch for any fakes here.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Hi snap whoa over the head of Crossco's doubling as
the punter. He's back inside his all ten. It's parked
inside the five Boyceville.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Football whoa man, This.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Voyceville team is a team that will capitalize on any
air that their opponent makes. And man, that snap a
good ten feet and over top of prosca his head.
Is the punter first and goal to start off the
game here for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
And that's another thing to note is those it's gonna
be a hard time snapping this football with this rain
coming down like that. And we saw it just there
that went carrening over his head, not even close to
the punter there and.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
A great block. Keep great job by uh.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
I believe that was right el to keep up with it,
get the block and continue and just landed on it
for first down and five at the goal line.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
There's peppin first and goal from the five. Here is
romhild Is under center. This time it's a handoff to
Zach Helen Drunk and he gets four of the five
they needed. He's down at the one as Zach Hellen
Drunk this season five hundred and sixty two yards on
the ground, eleven touchdowns. He was looking for his twelfth there.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Oh yeah, he's a big man, and trust me, when
he's coming through, you really have to wrap up below
the below the pads because if you wrap up high
on him, he's gonna keep taking for a ride. He's
a big guy and he's a hard guy to stop
out there.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Eight twelve and counting left to go here in the
first quarter, no score, but it's second and goal from
the one yard line here for the undefeated Boyceville Bulldogs.
Carson rome hild Is under center, hands it to hell
and Drunk again. Helen Drung is not touched before he
crosses the goal line, as that is a boyce Phil touchdown.

(12:35):
Zach Helen Drunk gets lucky number twelve and it's six.
Nothing looks like we may have a flag there and
uh it will go against boyce pvil so I take
it back. Boyceville will have to back up and we
are still scoreless seven to fifty nine left to go.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
On the first man, and they gave him a chop
block on that one, so it's gonna back them up
almost fifteen yards on that play. That is a that
a penalty that you don't really see called often on
the goal line there, but if they go low, they're
gonna call him.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
And Helen Drug, the running back really didn't even need
that block. I mean it looked like he was gonna
get into the goal line, get into the end zone
rather no matter what he did.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Yeah, and because they got the five yards, it's only
gonna back him up a little bit more. So it'll
be second and eleven, but still a long shot from
what they saw at second and one on the goal line.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Second and goal now from the eleven is now the
playbook for Boysville has to expand a little bit. They're
gonna put their quarterback, Carson rome Hild in the shotgun
seventeen and eighty five yards through the airs. They send
Helen Drug in motion that snaps over rome hilts head.
He's back in about the thirty and he is sacked
taking down. Is that on that sack was Cody Mullin Moleen,

(13:49):
excuse me as Maleen the senior with a big, big
sack and now it is third and forever.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
And that'll be Maleene's fourth sack on the season two.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
He's a hard rusher and especially when you have a
ball snapped almost felt like fifty feet over rome Hill ten.
He's a big guy. That's a hard target to miss.
So just showing how that rain is affecting the handling
of the ball down there, because that is the second
center to throw the ball over and other player's had.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
And neither particularly close. I mean Boyceville, they were second
in goal at the one, now their third and goal
at the thirty four yard line. Carson rome Hill though
an exceptional passer here for Boysville. He's back in the shotgun,
looking deep, throwing to the end zone incomplete, knocked away, intercepted, No,

(14:38):
it is intercepted, and it looks like that is Trenton Prosca,
excuse me as Krosca able to just play center field
under that deep ball. Both of these teams trading blows
early in the first.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
In yeah, and it's been a defensive onslaught from both
of these teams too, and that's the thing that's kind
of what we expected from these two teams coming into this,
especially with the forty two to twenty one win that
pepin Alma got last week, with how good their defense
has been. But now Boysfil's got to come back and
you had it at the goal line. But remember things
change just like that. You can never expect the expect

(15:15):
the unexpected, especially when you got rain come down like this.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Peppen Alma's got it first and ten backed up at
their own seven as Prosco. Their quarterback is under center
once again. It is a handoff and up to about
the ten yard line before he has stopped. Gain of
three is the ball carrier and it looks like that
one was Bergman.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Yeah, and they're gonna have to keep a watch on
Bergman too, because he is absolutely one of the more
prolific runners that we've seen, especially in Division seven, and
especially with some great blocking, he can go. But so
far Boys fails kind of clamped down on the gaps
and hasn't allowed any three runs from him.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Second down and seven ball right at the ten yard
line here for pepin Alma Prosco under center. No widers
information as this ball is handed off once again, they
keep it on the ground and Bergman, maybe just a
yard up to the eleven yard line, brings up a long.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Third down, and I believe that was anderton In on
that tackle. And he's had a great seasons two as
a defender. He's been He's only a sophomore, only a sophomore,
and has been able to really make a mark on
this defense. He's one of the better players that they
have out there as at just a young age.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Third and six from their own eleven. Here is Pepin
Alma able to break the huddle five nineteen and counting
left to go in this first quarter, no score as
the two seed meets the three seed. Here in level two,
back to pass is Kraska pros complete over the middle
and that should be a first down because that one

(16:47):
goes to That is Eli Krousey on the reception, Crowsy
the junior tight end, and he's up to about the
twenty three yard line. First down.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Peppinall yeah, And I mean we talked about Pepin only
having two passes total in that last game, completing both
of them for seventy three yards and two touchdowns. But
they don't throw the ball very often that time. Just
kind of cough voice, ball off guard on defense.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
First and ten now still from their own twenty three
for Peppin Alma. The Eagles come out with two backs
in the backfield here behind Kroska. It'll be a handoff
once again. That's Bergman. Bergman running to the far sideline.
He may be gone roun h'll de beat. He's at
the forty thirty five and knocked out of bounds just
ahead of the thirty at the thirty two. A big

(17:34):
run for Justin Bergman. And now you can see how
he got close to two thousand yards this season.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
Yeah, and if you.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Lose track of him for just a second, he's gone
like a bolt lightning. And that's just the way he
did there, all the way down to the thirty four
yard line of boys villain. Things change just like that.
But the more and more you run that ball, and
the more and more that's given up, it's gonna be
a hard tame. It's gonna be a hard time clamping
back down on that running game.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Big game puts Peppin Alma in plus try tory for
the first time so far tonight four p. Thirty six
and counting as they snap it on first and ten.
It's a handoff and now this could break free flag
at the end of the play. As mcquisten on the
carry gets a game of about nine. They might call
it a first down, but we'll have to check on
that penalty mark.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
Yeah, I'm where this is. You might think this might
be a little extra after the run.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
It'll be a face mask call against Boyceville. So tack
on some more yards to that run from Cole mcquisten.
As this Pep and all the team, they're really moving
here on offense. They are threatening as with four to
twenty nine left to go here in this first quarter,
they will have the ball inside of the twenty yard
line in the red zone.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yeah, And I mean that's a.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Thing that's haunted them before is these penalties, and especially
in last game they had a lot of penalties and
has carried over already two in this one first.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
And ten ball at the Boyceville thirteen. Here for peppin
Alma Prosca under center once again two wide receivers on
the near side. Instead, they handed to Bergmann, pushing the
pile forward and Bergman gets up to about the ten
gain of three second down.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
And this is Boysfol's time to shine here show off
what that goal line defense can do. We know that
they've been able to get stops like this in the past,
but especially with Bergmann back there, it's gonna make it
a lot more challenging, especially with another wild card like
own post out there too that could easily take off
the top of a defense on an end round.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Game of four officiallys second and six from the nine,
three forty three and counting left to go here in
this first quarter, no score is prosca under center, two
backs in the backfield, as it looks like that's Bergmann
plowing through. He has stopped a minimal game there for
Justin Bergman brings up a big third down here.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yeah, and Bo Dawson getting in on that tackle. He
had three sacks in that last game, three of the
twelve sacks total for boys Vote against that Webster team.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
And man, what a great pass.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Rush has this been for Boyceville And this is gonna
be what needs to happen continuously for the rest of
this night.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Now, third down and medium for this Pep and team.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
Boysville's defense has been great all year. They need to
stop here on third and six from the nine yard
line as Pepinalma trying to break this scoreless time in
the first quarter. He'll be a handoff fake to Bergman.
It goes around the outside and no game that time
for Owen post as he may have lost the yard
back to the ten. And now that brings up I

(20:30):
think they're gonna call it fourth and six and now
it's decision time for pepin Aalma. Do you trust your kicker?

Speaker 4 (20:37):
Yeah, And that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
It's like, you want to get as much points against
this boysful team because you don't know, you don't know
how this game is gonna go, especially with how good
this defense is. Getting as many points as you can
is good. But that's the thing too, is you gotta
watch for the tricks as well. We saw some tricks
last game. This could be no different.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
It will be their kicker out there as it looks
like that's Kevin Bauer. Bauer steps into it and that
one just inside the right, up right. It is good
there and that will give Pepenolma a three to nothing
lead to thirteen left to go on the first you're
on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven for the.

Speaker 8 (21:19):
Last fifteen years, Affordable Dentures in Eau Claire has helped
over fifteen thousand patients seek a better life, a life
free to smile easily and without embarrassment, a life free
from the negative health effects associated with infective teeth. Each
year we help hundreds of patients freeing themselves from the
physical and mental trauma of a life limited by poor

(21:39):
oral health. If you are ready to move beyond the
days of hiding your smile, call Affordable Dentures for a
free consultation. Seven point five eight five five one zero
two zero.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
o six point seven.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Welcome back, everybody. Two thirteen left to go here in
this one as Peppin open up the scoring with a
field goal. Three nothing here as Boysville ready to get
another chance on offense.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Yeah, and we saw some great goal line defense from Boysvil.
That's kind of what we've expected from them, especially after
a massive thirty five yard.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Run like that. It really closed the field on them.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
And now as we see this kickoff, it's gonna be
interesting to see how this offense returns it.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Little squib kick bounces at the forty fielded about the
thirty seven by Andrew Ton, and here Boyceville will have
pretty good field position here as they try and at
the very least even the score, if not take a
lead here two thirteen left to go in the first and.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
I wonder if they were concerned about potentially kicking it
to rome Hill back there with two extra blockers in
front of him, because, I mean, we've seen him return
two kicks this season. He's as well of a he's
as good of the quarterback as he is a safety,
as he is a kick return guy.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
He's good to all across the board.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
But just at that time, just kicking a squib kick,
I mean, might have saved you a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
He can play on all three sides of the ball.
At Carson, rome Hill completed sixty five percent of his
passes so far this season. He comes out under center
as Boysville has it first and ten from their own
thirty seven yard line, two backs in the backfield, two
wide receivers on the near side. It's a pitch to
Zach Helen Drunk, and Helen Drunk gets a gain of
about three up to the forty before he is taken down.

(23:15):
Looks like Bergman on that stop.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
And that toss got him a little bit of space there,
but not too much. The blocking kind of fell apart
and the edge got right to him and played the
boundary line and just couldn't get anything.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
More than that. He's a big guy.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
But if you can take him down or get him
to the out of bounds line, I mean out of
bounds is undefeated and tack line, you're not gonna You're
not gonna break attack a lot of bounds.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
That's your twelve defender there is. It's second and eight
ball right at the forty here for Boysville, they go
with a jumbo set Rome Hill to under center again
as they send a man in motion. Instead it is
a handoff. This time it goes to Tucker Linstrom, and
Tucker Linstrom is lucky if he gets back to the
line there, it'll be a long third down.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Yeah, and that was number big, number seventy two.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Maxicathers characters actually six foot four, two twenty five only
a junior. He's their starting center and a big defensive end.
That's a guy you can't leave un blocked out there.
That's kind of what they were hoping for. Maybe a
little chip blocking, maybe he'd be too slow to get
to Lindstrom. But great job by him filling that hole
because he just completely stuffed it.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
Brothers is a big man down there. Third and eight
here from the forty Rome Hill's gonna be in the
shotgun fakes the handoff, looks left fires, that's complete. It's
gonna be close as Oh, it looks like a fumble
as that was Jacoby Kershner on the catch. He's a
up across midfield and they say he recovers it, so

(24:39):
that'll be a boys Phil first down.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Yeah, and it looked like he bobbled it for a second.
Pepin kind of went for that ball and missed the
tackle and that led to him recovering and getting the
first down. Kershner had two touchdowns in that last game,
trying to continue on his great playoff stretch.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Yeah, the rain is light, but it is certainly steady,
not letting up here anytime soon. As with thirty seconds
left in the quarter. First and ten here for Boysville,
right at the midfield stripe, it's gonna be Rome hilled.
Rome Hild's gonna keep it. He fumbles the ball that
is falling on at the forty nine. Looks like he
got up to almost the forty six. That fumble went

(25:16):
backwards and it'll be second and ten, and uh, it
looks like we'll have to wait until the next quarter.
I don't think they're gonna get a playoff as they
just now get into the huddle. But Boysville very lucky
to have that football back.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Then, absolutely, And I mean that could have gone really
bad the other way as this first quarter ends here.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Yep, so it is three to nothing after the first quarter.
Pepen Alma leading Boysville in the wia D seven Playoffs
Round two. You're on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Welcome back, everybody. We've reached the second quarter. Noah Schwartz
and Dan zounds alongside you. Is Pepin Alma leading the
Boyceville Bulldogs by a score of three to nothing after
the first quarter. Boyceville has its second and ten. At uh,
is that their own forty nine or the the pep
and Alma forty nine?

Speaker 4 (26:44):
Walliam, it's Pepin or no, it's their own forty nine.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
There we go, No, no, it is no. Well we'll
figure that out in the second. You know, they switch
sides at the quarter breaks, and you know sometimes it
is tough. Yeah, does look like the pepal way Yeah,
one of the forty nine yard line.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
It looks like they're a hip flopped for a second there,
But like, no, that's what's gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Twelve minutes on the clock. Here is Boys Phil gets
into the huddle and a fumble nearly lost on first
down but recovered, set some up second and ten here
from the pepinol of forty nine. Here for Boys Phil
as Carson rome Hill, their quarterback under center, wide receiver
on the near side instead it is a reverse is
this time it goes to land and Leslie. Leslie with

(27:30):
a gain of about four against nearly to the forty five.
People'll call that the forty six, and that will bring
up officially third and eight as they're marketing them at
the forty seventh.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Yeah, and Landon Leslie had a great game in that
last one to really it felt like he was that
spark plug that really got him going when they were
struggling against Webster in the early portion of the first half.
Now they're gonna be looking to him again to see
if they can find some more space to get him
open against those defensive backs.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
An aid here for boys Phille Ball on the Pep
and Almond peppin all of forty seven. As rome Hild
is back to pass pocket collapses, he steps up, He's
gonna run, breaks a tackle, got the first down and
more and out of bounds right at the thirty Carson
rome Hild, Well, if you don't give him, if you
don't give him an opportunity to beat you in his arm,
he'll beat you with his legs.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
And that's what happened last game.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
We saw him take off running for multiple multiple times
against Webster, and he had absolutely cooked them a couple
of those times, absolutely going for twenty, going for thirty
and just showing off his speed there getting another first
down with his legs.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
And there was no protection on that play as I
looked like all the front the front line there for
peppin Almond just kind of over pursued. Rome Hild saw
green Grass and he's got the first down. It's first
and ten from the thirty here, so rome Hild will
go under center. It's a jumbo set. They send Leslie
in motion as this handoff. Nope, it's a keeper for

(28:59):
rome Hill. Rome Hild does not have the blockers he
has hoped for. He gets back to the line, but
he is smothered by three or four white jerseys. That
brings up second and seven.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Yeah, and they had something going there, but just three
missed blocks on that outside edge just allowed Pep and
Alma to just completely swarm him. If they would have
kept following their blocks like they were doing, especially in
that last one, it probably could have gone for at
least another first down, if not a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Ten forty one and counting left to go here in
this first quarter. Once again Pep and Alma leading Boysville
by a score of three to nothing here in the
second round of the WYA Division seven playoffs. It will
be Carson Rome Hild and Zach Helen drung in the shotgun.
And before we get a play, we get a time
out from Boysville, so we'll step aside. Ten twenty seven

(29:47):
left to go here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
Welcome back everybody. After that timeout for Boyceville will have
second and ten still right at the thirty yard line
as Boyceville trailing Pepin Alma three nothing here in the
second round of the D seven High School Football Playoffs.
No Schwartz here, Dan Zoon's there as Boycevil comes to
the line.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Yeah, and remember this is a slow start for them.
They had a slow start against uh Webster in the
last game where they were only leading fifteen to six.
But any of that one fifty to twelve, it's gonna
be about how they recover from their early mistakes.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Second and ten here from the pep and all thirty,
Rome Hill do is under center. He'll fake the handoff,
roll out to his right. He's gonna run. He's got
the first down and more ted but cutting down Priceville
Parson re realm. Hill does it himself, and that gives
the Bulldogs this six to three lead.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
And I mean he saw that immediately. It was a
complete wide open lane.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
There was only one guy over there in his own post,
and for as fast his own post is, he just
could not catch up with Rome Hill, who just completely
torched it.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
To the end zone.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
There a great processing there, knowing that he had numbers
to that far sideline and just being able to get
into that end zone pretty incredible. As voice Phil takes
a six to three lead. Now it looks like they're
gonna go for two here, as they often do on
their first score of the game.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
Yes, and I don't believe.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I can't really see it out there, but it doesn't
look like they're a placekicker maybe suited up and he's
typically the guy to kick a field goals.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
As they sap this Rome Hill tosses to Linz. Oh,
it's going to be close, but it looks like Pep
and Alma pushes them out. No good and that two
point conversion that's have no good. So with ten eighteen
left to go in the second quarter, it's Boysville six
and Pep and Alma three. You're on your home for
high school football.

This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh

O six point seven.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
Welcome back. Carson rome Hild's thirty yard touchdown scamper puts
boys fill up six to three with ten eighteen left
to go here in the second quarter. Noah Schwartz and
Dan Zones alongside you for the wia D seven high
school football playoffs here on the moves.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
Yeah, and that was just a great scamper there by.
Carson rome Hill just completely took the top off the defense.
And I mean we saw that in the last game too.
He had he had four carries for seventy six yards,
didn't get a touchdown. That one got in on this
one though and made up for that. But still you
let him get a little bit of space out there
running that football.

Speaker 4 (33:30):
He's going to take it far.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Zach Hellen Trunk will be handling the kickoff duties here
for boys. Phil kicking off from right to left. He
steps into that one. It's a good kick that one.
Oh it'll be mup, it's rolling and oh just barely
recovered by Pep and Almah, but some of the gunners
on that kick return unit were almighty close there. It
looks like they're going to spot that one at about

(33:52):
the twenty five maybe the twenty four yard line, and
Pepen Alma will take over from there.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
And that's another miss handling of the ball there for Owen.
Post is usually a sure handed guy for this Peppin
Alma team, but just hit his hands. He was too
close to the ground, hit his hands, bounced down and
he just couldn't recover it right away.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
Very close call for that Pepin Alma team out there.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
It'll be first and ten right from the twenty four
yard line. Here, as Kroska goes under center, he fakes
the handoff, looks to throw to the far sideline and
not close to his intended receiver. As looked like that
was mcquisten on the far sideline, but it was over
his head.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Second and ten and Bennett's and coverage on that one.
He had him pretty covered well too. He had about
three interceptions so far in the season, one of them
going for a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
He is a guy you don't really want to throw
the ball to.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
But there's a lot of them out here as this
BOYSFL team garnered sixteen interceptions in the regular season.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Second and ten here for peppin Alma. After that incompletion
and yeah, this is a secondary that you don't want
to throw against. Pepenalma comes to the line in a
jumbo set on second and tent. This time it will
be a handoff once again. Looks like that is Bergmann
and Bergmann running near sideline. Looks like he gets a

(35:09):
gain of about two maybe three brings up third and long.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Yeah, and Bergman, he got that ball and it almost
seemed like it was a complete crowd in front of him.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
They had some blockers, but.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
You can't really move the ball when there's an entire
massive people just right in front of you. So no
space there for Bergmann and only a minimal gain.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Nine forty two and counting left to play here in
this first half, Boysville up by three. Pepin Alma driving
though they're trying to keep this drive alive. Third and
seven Sprosca's under center, two wide receivers, one on either side,
and two backs in the backfield here for the Eagles
on third and seven, ball at their own twenty seven
back to passes Krosca throws over the middle incomplete as

(35:50):
he wanted Owen post, but just a little bit too
tall for him as he posted five ten. If he
was six foot he would have caught it.

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Oh yeah, just a little bit too high for him there.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
But still uh and luckily, luckily enough for Boysville, Carson
Romhild slipped in coverage there. So just a lucky break
for this Bulldog team, who even with that, this defense
has been so strong to start off this first quarter
or second or first half, I should say.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
They said he'll be fourth and seven. The punt unit
comes on as Trenton Prosca is back there as a
deep to return. It is Carson rome Hild here for
boys for that patch black.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
So the game for boys wilts.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
And it's another big special teams play for the Bulldog
Zach Kellen drunk. He's making plays on all three sides
of the ball too.

Speaker 4 (36:45):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
I mean he was completely there was almost no walking
to him on that side and he completely ran up
there and has got an easy block on that one.
I mean that's the second time now we've seen this.
Alma just Hevin Alma just not really be at that
blocking there. For the special teams and Boysfil's been taking
absolute advantage of it.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
It was Helen Drung on their recovery. Not sure if
he got a hand it on the block too. I
we'll let you know is it'll be first in goal
from the nine. Second time we've seen Boyceville start a
drive with goal to go. It's a handoff to Zach
Helen Drung. Helen Drung running to his right. He's carrying
the pile. His legs are still moving, but they'll say
his forward progress is stopped now. Second and goal from

(37:26):
about the five.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Yeah, and they have two defensive tackles in there that
are so hard to run against. Number seventy two and
number seventy nine Max Kathers, who made our characters who
had a really good play to stop Boysvil drive earlier,
and then number seventy nine Breckin Hollo Peters six foot
four to three to h five senior. Both of these
guys are six foot four over two hundred and fifty pounds.

(37:49):
These guys are mean and there's some big guys in there,
and they're definitely one of the harder teams to run
against for that reason.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Second and goal from the six here for Boyceville, looking
to extend their six to three leads. This time it
goes right to Tucker Lindstrom and Lenstrom the full back
fass across the goal line. He's in for the Boyceville touchdown.
You can hear those cowbells then, yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
And I mean also just the amount of fans here
that have been just so everyone's dressed up.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
It's such a fun crowd out here tonight.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
But Lindstrom really showing off the speed there, took a
great first step and already beat a couple of the
defensive tackles out there, and then got right up the
middle for another touchdown there, another rushing one for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Looks like they're gonna go for two again. Here is
Rome Hild. I mean companies stay out there on offense,
two backs in the backfield, two wide receivers here for
Boyceville on their two point conversion attempt. But flags ahead
of the snap and it looks like it will be
a false start against Boyceville. Five yard penalty. And now
do they kick it or do they go for two?

Speaker 4 (38:55):
And that's the thing too.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
They their kicker is suited up for this game, but
he is had an injury last week that really that
saw him get off of the field, But then he's
also been you know, dealing with it throughout this week
trying to get ready for this game. They're probably trying
to just hold them off and know that if they
do make it further, he's gonna be very important come
the next game or two.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
That kicker Tomas Bitseli is they will go for two again,
this time from a little bit deeper as uh, this
is a keeper for Turnerson, roll Hill bol me too.
Bull pulled the whole pep and all the defense, but
that two point conversion, we'll make that a nice round.
Number fourteen to three boys, Phil eight twenty four left.

(39:36):
You're in the second quarter on your home for high
school football.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven Welcome back.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Eight twenty four left to go in the first half,
and Boyceville has taken a fourteen to three lead over
peppin Alma here in round two of the wyaaighty seven
football playoffs.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Exactly yeah, and I mean special teams has really been
doing it tonight for boys. But that's now the second
time they've gotten to start at around the ten five
ten yard line inside of their against pepin Alma, and
it's because of.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
Two blocked punts. That's why you.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
Invest in your special teams unit, because pepin Alma has
missed so many blocks on those edges and it's it's
really fit them really hard tonight.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
It'll be Helen Drunk kicking it away from right to left.
As that one is kind of a squire fielded at
the twenty by one of the upmen. He's up to
the thirty thirty five and out of bounds on the
far sideline at about the thirty seven that is where
Pepinalma will take.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
Over arguably one of their better starting positions too. It's
gonna be interesting to see what they come out with
here after this running game has really not been working
for them for the most part.

Speaker 4 (41:19):
They had one big thirty yard run from Bergman to.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Really set them up, but after that it's been one yard,
two yard, three yards maybe. So it's gonna be interesting
to see how they change it up, how they try
and get their other skill players out in out in space,
and especially against a tough defense like this, it's not
gonna come easy.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
They first and send ball at their own thirty nine
yard line. Here for Pepinala prosca hands off looks like
that's Bergmann. He just runs into the pile, gain of
a couple now second down.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Yeah, and I mean Bergmann too, even though when he's
running into a pile, he can keep he can keep
those legs moving and keep pushing him. He's a big
guy for being a running back. I mean, we think
of these running backs is like five eight, five, nine,
five to ten, but Bergmann is a big guy.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Six five as a senior. Is Bergman second and six
after the game of four for him here for peppin Alma.
As Krosco is under center, two backs in the backfield.
Once again, it will be a handoff to Bergman and
Bergmann pushing the pile forward. Looks like he's up across
the forty five nearly to the line to gain forty nine,

(42:24):
but it's going to be close depending on the spot.
It will be third and short here. And talking about
Bergmann mentioned those eighteen hundred and fifteen yards but thirty
one touchdowns on the season and ten and a half
yards per Kerry coming into this ball game.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
I mean that just shows you his prowess.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
He is such an electric player to have out there
any backfield benefits. And that's the thing you see is
all these other players at four hundred and three hundred
yards rushing, it's because of this guy really taking up
the attention.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Third and one ball at the forty eight, Pepenalma needs
the forty nine they handed to Bergmann. He doesn't get much,
but it looks like he's got it as he's across
midfield to the other forty nine, gain of about three
that time, and it'll be a first down for peppen Alma.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
And if you're Boysville, you can't play conservative. You gotta
still come in with that same energy. You can't just
kind of say, oh, we got an eleven point lead
right now. Because pepin Alma they they're nine and one
for a reason. They aren't gonna just fall down flat
like other teams will. You got to really keep that
pedal to the medal.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
First and ten now from the boys Phil forty nine
for peppin Alma, this time once again a handoff on
the far side, Bergmann running. Excuse me, that was not Bergmann.

Speaker 13 (43:37):
Uh Le post.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Looks like that's post on the carry looks like a
gain of seven on first down, second and three.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
I mean that that fake about me too, because Bergmann
went straight in and he's been getting the line share
of these carries on posts.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
Though.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
You can't forget about him, because as soon as you
forget about him, he's already down the field for a
few yard touchdown gain.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
If seven makes it second and three from the forty
three yard line here for Peppinalma. Remember their one loss
this season came by just one point. As this time
it is Bergman and Bergman nearly to the line to
gain to about the forty five. It'll be third and one.

Speaker 4 (44:12):
I think they're gonna give it to him. Actually they're
kind of motioning.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
Yeah, they're moving the sticks. That's another first down for Peppenalma.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
And it's been on the ground game so far.

Speaker 3 (44:23):
They haven't really been too they haven't really been able
to move it too much against this Bulldog team to
start off this game. But now they're kind of finding
that flow and it's gonna be up to Boyceville to
kind of counteract that.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
There it'll be first and tent here now from the
Boyceville thirty nine yard line. We knew that peppin Ala
was a big running team coming into this ballgame. Each
of that stat after this snap here as once again
as a handoff, this time it goes to Cole mcquisten
and mcquistin gets a game of about one before he's
brought down. Bergman, their leading rusher, had eighteen hundred yards

(44:59):
round about there. Kroska, their quarterback six hundred and fifty yards.
That's nearly three times as many yards on the ground
as opposed to through the air here for pepin.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
Al it's a big discrepancy and it shows you why
they've been so successful, especially when they have people stacking
the box, because they'll just keep running through you no
matter what. They power through.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
Five minutes left in the first half. It's second and ten,
balls still at the thirty nine yard line. This ball
goes to Bergmann running to his left, pushes forward as
he is nearly to the thirty five. Looks like he's
dropped at about the thirty six and that will bring
up third and medium.

Speaker 3 (45:36):
Yeah, and he almost got tackled in the backfield again,
but Bergman, doing what he does best, just broke through
that tackle and continued on. Didn't get very much after that,
but still a hard fought a couple of yards there
for him.

Speaker 2 (45:48):
Third and seven, of course, once again Boyceville leaving peppin
Ala fourteen to three. But it's been a lot closer
than the scoreboard suggests.

Speaker 4 (45:57):
Lot special team woes.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
Special team woe to be certain here for Pep and
Almah looking to avoid another punt here on third and
long back to pass his Krosca. That ball is tipped
at the line and incomplete, as it looked like Post
was the intended receiver on a slant route. No chance
to get it to him there, and it'll be fourth
and seven.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
And once again called his name before call him in
it again. Andrew Ton out there making plays on the
defensive end, and they're on that voiceful side of the field.
Even though it's fourth down and seven, you know they're gonna.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
Still try and go for this.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Just gotta get a hand on it. But fourth and
seven at the thirty seven that's plus territory here for
Pep and Alma, and they're gonna try and go for
it here. They're down by eleven, four to fourteen left
to go in the second quarter. Under center is Kroska.
He's going to be back to pass. He's under immediate
the rest and a dumps it all by a screen

(46:47):
but it's incomplete and they're questioning the intended receiver. Oh
Croscer really just no time to throw that football.

Speaker 4 (46:55):
No, he did not, He was a screenplay.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
They were setting it up for the middle of the field,
and he couldn't set it up because the ball right
away two purple defenders were already right in Krosska's face.
Not only that, andrew Ton read it perfectly. He was
right there for it. In fact, had he had got
maybe gotten into position, flash known what was gonna be
happening right there. When he did he probably could have
came away with a pick there, to be honest, So.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
A turnover on downs makes it first and ten for
boys Phille at their own thirty seven yard line. Four
to ten left to go here in this one, as
Rome Hilden company take the field once again looking to
extend this bulldog lead. Rome hild will be under center
as they send a man in motion that's Leslie and
instead it will be Leslie getting the carry, but he

(47:41):
does not get back to the line as that pepin
Alma defense smothers him. Loss of a couple and it
is second down.

Speaker 4 (47:47):
They're gonna drop him for a huge loss.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
Apparently that may have been a bit of a generous
spot behind the line. It looked like it was only
a two yard loss, but they're gonna give it a
closer to three or four now. But just tripped on
his own teammates foot there and just cause that nothing
really nothing really the defense did. They're just a foot
trip in. That's all it really needs.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
Hard to get good footing in this Ragin second and
thirteen for Boysville, fake handoff, Rome Hill's gonna roll out
to his right looking deep. Now he's gonna step up
trying to avoid their rush. He's gonna run for it,
and he's got a gain of oh, probably about eight
before he's pushed out a bounds. He's nearly to the
forty five. Line to gain is the forty seven, and

(48:31):
looks like they're gonna spot him out with the forty two,
they say, So that turns second and very long into it.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Third and five, yeah, third and four. Actually they're gonna
give it to him now. But that was just a big,
big role. Now third and five now, But that was
just a big run by him, and that show is.

Speaker 4 (48:47):
Just like that versatility that he has.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
He had a couple of open receivers there, would have
liked to see him dump it off to maybe Lindstrum
or someone else on that far left side. Didn't catch
the number, but still Rant didn't think he had anyone open,
still went to run instead, and that was just a
smart decision.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
It saw it looked like he loaded up for the
deep ball, but then pulled it down. And now we're
gonna get a boys filed time out here with three
point twenty three left to go here in this second quarter,
Boysville leading Pepinolma fourteen to three. Here on your home
for high school football.

Speaker 1 (49:19):
This is Friday Night lice on Moose Country one O

Speaker 1 (49:55):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Welcome back everybody. Fourteen to three Boyceville leading Pepen Alma,
and they'll have a tough one to convert here third
and five from their own forty two as we come
back here.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
Yeah, and just looking at the out of town scoreboard
right now, Cochran Foundain City, a team that Boysvil or
pep and Alma would have to face against. Currently up
seven to nothing against Glenwood.

Speaker 2 (50:21):
City third and four, an incoming three minutes and twenty
seconds left to go. Here in the first half. Is
Boyceville trying to add on to their two score lead.
Their up by eleven. They've got it now third and
four from their own forty two yard line. As rome
Hill is under center, two backs in the backfield, and
two wide receivers, one on either side. Looked like there

(50:43):
was movement ahead of the snap. No flags there, as
Kersher the intended receiver on a all out route to
the near sideline. It will be incomplete and it will
be fourth and either four or five, depending on where
they were where your judgment of that spot is.

Speaker 3 (50:59):
Yeah, it's been interesting because they haven't really called as
many false starts despite I mean, I've seen both teams
kind of line up off sides twice, especially pepin Alma's
line up off sides three different times.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
Now when you've got a team called the Eagles, Yeah,
when he got a.

Speaker 4 (51:13):
Team called the Eagles.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
Sometimes the tush push kind of makes its way over
to the other teams too.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
Fourth and four, it looks like it will be the
punt unit here for Boysville getting ready to kick it away.
Is rome Hilled deals with the snap. It is not
a brilliant kick that one out of bounds ahead of
the forty and about the forty three yard line. Probably
one that Rome Hill would like to have back. And

(51:40):
it'll be pretty good starting field position here for Pepinola
with three twelve left to go before the intermission.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
Yeah, it just looked like it came off the side
of his foot there, So anytime it comes off the
side of your foot, that's gonna go careening away. And
I don't think it even made it fifteen fifteen, twenty yards, to.

Speaker 4 (51:55):
Be honest with you.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
But now you're starting starting field positions back where it
was again, see how this defense can do against the run.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
For Peppinalma, they spot at first and ten at their
own forty six yard line here as Krosska under center,
he will hand off and it looks like once again
that goes to Bergman on first down a gain him
a couple maybe second down.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
Yeah, And just a great job there by ry Dell
coming in at the end to kind of grab his
legs to make sure he doesn't keep going forward, because
that's the thing. Can't wrap up high, go you gotta
go low, especially against a guy like Bergman.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
Game of one makes it second and nine here for
peppin Awa ball. Now with the forty seven yard line,
as they trail fourteen to three, it'd say handoff once again,
as on the outside looks like that one goes to
mcquistin and mcquistin taking down across midfield at about the
forty nine yard line makes it about third and four.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
Yeah, mccuistin.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
He only a sophomore, didn't really play too much in
the regular season, but he had a pretty decent game
against this against the Turtle Lake Turtles. And now just
trying to get forward. Here is this Pepen Alma team.

Speaker 2 (53:10):
We near the two minute mark before halftime, it's third
and five for Peppin Alma Cresca under centers. Once again,
this goes to Bergman and Bergmann maybe a couple, but
I will bring up fourth down as a Dawson on
that stop here for voice field.

Speaker 3 (53:29):
And I don't know if any Turtle Lake fans are
listening right now, I'd like to correct myself. It's Turtle
Lake Lakers, not the Turtles.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
They just have it. They just have a turtle as
their mascot.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
But still a hard team to play against, and they
were still able to run the ball very well, did
pepen Alma still you want to see this voyeball team
really locked down and not allow Bergman to keep getting
those extra yards.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
I rode for a team called the Turtles. It's fourth
and four. Is pepen Alma's gonna go for it?

Speaker 15 (53:54):
Is?

Speaker 2 (53:54):
It looks like it's a handoff along the far sideline. Oh,
it's gonna be close. A little bit of a fake
action there is. It was not Bergmann, as they're gonna say,
that was Owen post On something that looked like a
little bit of a jet sweep. Uh, that's close. It
looks maybe like a breath short.

Speaker 3 (54:14):
Either a breath short or just barely a first down.
But that's right there.

Speaker 4 (54:18):
They're definitely gonna have to measure, and that's what they're
doing right now.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
They are going to measure. At this point, it's all
subjective and all we can do up here is speculate
and maybe squint down there.

Speaker 4 (54:29):
Something to note.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
The only one twenty two to go on this game
clock for the first half, and you still have to
go a full yard as Uh, they're gonna give it
to them.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
They are going to give it to them. They fooled
the chains and it will be a first down for
pep and Alma, but a time crunch for them. Of course,
Remember Boyceville gets the second half kickoff too, so Pep
and Alma if they want a better chance, I should say,
of coming back in this game. They got to end
this drive with points and they've only got about seventy
seconds to do so. As we get whistles ahead of

(55:01):
the snap and they're asking.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
Put more time on the clock, I think I think, well,
well maybe not no, because they didn't take a time out,
so why would they stop the clock.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
They want one to twenty two back on the clock
here for Peppinalma, and they will get it. As the
scoreboard has now been amended once again. Still Boyceville fourteen,
Peppen Almo three. Late here in the second quarter, as
Pepinala will keep the ball on the ground, that's a
big run for Bergman Bergman far sideline fifteen and out

(55:40):
of bounds of the ten. A big first down there
for Justin Bergman, and now with sixty nine seconds left
to play before halftime, it'll be goal to go for
the pepp and all my Eagles.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
That one just could not happen if you were a
boy Smail's defense. I mean, you've been keying in on
Bergman this entire game, but just that one moment that
just shows you how kind of how dynamic this guy
can be. Just found his way out of there and
got that open lane and took off.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
Because it'll be first and ten ball at the third
scene and now flags ahead of the stamp, it'll be
a false start for Pepping all the eles. They will
have to go backwards five yards, turns it into first
and fifteen from there from rather the boys fill eighteen yard.

Speaker 3 (56:26):
Line first off side penalty called tonight. Now now you
have to try and get yourself back into this, your
Peppin Alma that goes backwards after you just had a
massive run.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
So it'll be first and fifteen from the eighteen A
minute and eight second separate us from the end of
the second quarter, as this will be a quick handoff
once again to Bergmann fighting forward to about the fifteen
yard line. So that's a gain of three and that
looks like it'll be a time of for Peppin Alma
to stop the clock with a minute left before halftime.

(57:00):
Full step aside here on your home for high school
football time on Eagles I guess we won't.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
For high school football Moose Country one oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
Welcome back, everybody. One minute left to go right on
the nose here before halftime as Boyceville is leading Peppinola
fourteen to three, but Pepinalma trying to change that here.

Speaker 3 (57:58):
Yeah, and they have a chance to really cut this
one down to just a one score lead. After boys
flood looked like they were really stomping down on them
with a couple of big special teams plays. Now pepen
almost got that chance to really take this one and
cut this one down before halftime.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
After the gain on first down after that penalty, it'll
be second and thirteen from the fifteen here for pepin
Ama prosca under center, two backs in the backfield and
one wide receiver on the near side, and off to
Bergman again. Bergman running farth side, got some space. He's
only back to the original line of scrimmage at the
thirteen before he's out about out of bounds. Excuse me?

(58:37):
Is that stops the clock with fifty five seconds left
and it'll be third and ten.

Speaker 3 (58:42):
Yeah, and even if they only come away with three points,
so you can still cut this lead down to just
any point lead still better than going into the breakdown eleven.
But that's a big if, and you still have to
either get that field goal.

Speaker 4 (58:54):
Unit out there or get a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
Going huge If third and ten from the thirteen fifty
five seconds left, Pepenalma has got to have at least
a good chunky yards here. As they handed this time,
it goes to post and post rambling forward to about
the five yard line. It was like, it'll be fourth
and one forty one seconds left and they're going to

(59:19):
call their second time out. We're gonna keep it here.
As Pepenalva able to stop the clock once again, looks
like it'll be fourth in either one or two Dan,
So now it becomes decision time here for the Eagles.
Do you kick, do you take the field goal? Or
do you trust your offense? And if Aran is probably

(59:40):
Bergmann to get you those two.

Speaker 3 (59:42):
Yards, And honestly, that's the thing too, I don't even
know if they go Bergman with this one. They might
honestly do some kind of a fake, some kind of
a play action pass like they did in the last
game against Turtle Lake. Two touchdowns are two touchdowns on
two throws that only happens.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
When you're inside the thirty.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
So, just being out as it being as it is,
this is gonna be an interesting thing, interesting thing to
see how what they call here, especially with Bergmann being
as good as he's been in those tight quarters.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
A lot of different decisions to be made here, and
we're just seconds away from finding out if Pepenalma gets
it right. Fourth and two from the five yard line
with forty one seconds left before halftime, Boysville has a
two score lead over Pepenalma. Prasca under center, they handed

(01:00:30):
off to Bergmann plowing into the pile. I don't think
he got there.

Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
I don't think so either. He barely made it back
to the line.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
Somebody's saying first down though there they're gonna give him
a first down here with thirty five seconds left, they
will be first and goal. I'm not sure where they're
gonna spot that ball, but they handed off along the
far side, flagged down as post came. Carr is that
one and he's out of bounds. It looks like he's

(01:01:03):
stopped at about the five. But we'll have to see
what those penalty markers are. There's a couple of them
in the defensive backfield.

Speaker 4 (01:01:13):
And there's some on the line. There's one on the
line too that happened before those ones.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
It will be a holding call against pepin Ola, and
so with twenty four seconds left, then back the Eagles
back further. So that'll be a ten yard penalty and
that will spot them at about the fifteen. It looks
like sixteen.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Maybe, Yeah, they're still trying to spot the ball. That's
been kind of an issue here with the refing tonight.
They haven't really had a good connection between them and
the spotters.

Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
It'll be first and goal at the twelve yard line
here with twenty four seconds left and an eleven point
lead ahead. A halftime here for Boyceville Pepenola trying to
make sure things are okay, as are the officials. Is
now they wind the clock. Prosca under center, three backs
in the backfield, back to passes Prosca. He's under pressure,

(01:02:06):
he's got a step up. He throws to the end zone,
cut that one out of bounds at the two. But
they roll the clock with ten seconds left, and now
they're gonna call their third and final time out here
for once again, that was owen post on the near sideline.

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
He goes, and they've been really trying to get him
out in space, and that time they kind of did,
but just kind of tossed it up to him with
a defender right in front of him, just couldn't.

Speaker 4 (01:02:35):
Get him back down.

Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
And now you're back right where you were before that penalty.
It's gonna be with only ten seconds to go now though,
and no time out, So this could very well be
if you get tackled in the play here, you need
to get up to the line and you need to
snap that ball immediately.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
Is ten seconds enough to even get to the line
and spike it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
That's true, because that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
You would almost have to get to the line, and
that would almost be your last play.

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
In the NFL, they say it's usually about sixty seconds.
I heard that from Tony Roman on one of those broadcasts.
Who knows if he's a reliable source.

Speaker 4 (01:03:07):
He's predicted a couple of things.

Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
There, ten seconds left before halftime in Boyceville getting the
second half kickoff. So with that eleven point deficit, pepin
Alma really needs the points. Here. Looks like they are
going to oh, what's this all right? Will be their
offense out there on second and goal from the three
ten seconds left and no timeouts for the Eagles. The

(01:03:31):
crowd and Boyceville is loud. Here is back to passes Krosca.
He is wrapped up and taken down. It's an give
a league pass, but he gets it away and the
Fox stops. Five seconds left and somehow Trenton Kroska able
to get that ball away.

Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
Man, Yeah, I'm now just a smart job there by
Crosska to even get that ball out because if he
got brought down there, that's the end of the half.

Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
That's the end of the half.

Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
And they are they have been so far doing the
smart plays, even when they've been going back for just
making the smartest moves.

Speaker 4 (01:04:05):
But right now no field goal unit out there. They're
wanting to go for it again.

Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
They're gonna go forward here third and three from the
three five seconds left as it will be a handoff
and they stopped in short. They're not gonna get them
short of the goal line, is Peppingla. Boyceville's defense holds
strong and at the half, Boyceville leads pep score of

(01:04:34):
fourteen to three.

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
And if you're Pepping Alma, that's just that's just not
the way you wanted to end that half, especially when
you had a chance to maybe even make this into
a one score lead by kicking a field goal, especially
at the ten. There's gonna be some questions on the
decision there because that could potentially have a major factor
in this game if it does get down to the wire.

Speaker 4 (01:04:57):
I mean, that is that's that's point.

Speaker 3 (01:04:59):
You can't leave off the board there, and they did,
and instead of it being just a one score lead,
it's now an eleven point lead with Voysful getting the
ball back in the second half. I mean, you just
can't have that happen with your offense there. But I
like the trust going for it the first time, but
the second time they should have gone for the field
goal there, especially with how good of a kicker they have.

Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Yeah, sometimes you got to risk it for the biscuit,
but that time, I mean, it's a hindsight's twenty twenty
and it's a lot easier to second guess from up
here in the booth rather than to, you know, make
these decisions for real. But a fourteen to three deficit
at the half and not getting the ball back to
open up that half, it's going to be tough sledding
here for peppen.

Speaker 4 (01:05:41):
Alma, Yes it is.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Any final thoughts before we send it to halftime.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
I mean, so far, special teams has really dominated this game,
especially for boysful having two drives start inside of your thought,
inside of their ten yard line just to be able
to get a touchdown on that one was very good.
Put them up fourteen to three so far though. Running game,
even though we knew both teams were going to key
in on it, both teams have been running really hard

(01:06:06):
out there and have been getting those yards.

Speaker 4 (01:06:08):
Bergman came away to thirty yard runs.

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
At the end of this art at the end of
the half, a little bit before the half too, but
still just.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
Not a lot going for the ground game.

Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
Other than those two runs for Bergmann, they need to
really find a way to consistently get him open, and
especially get post open, because when he gets that ball,
he's you can see him just scan the field and
really make those right cuts, right decisions, and he's so
fast out there. But Boycevill's defense has really come to
play tonight, really come to play.

Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
They certainly have. It was a fun first half to
watch and we look forward to the exciting conclusion of
this one. Just one more update before we send you
to break Pee Knuts and our friend and Collie back

It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
Welcome back, everybody. We've reached halftime here as we've got
the WIA Division seven high school football playoffs here between
the two seed undefeated Boysville Bulldogs and the three seed
nine and one Peppin al Eagles, No. Schwartz and dan
zones alongside you. Here as Boyceville leading Pep and Alma
by a score of fourteen to three at the half.

(01:10:08):
It's been a fun one so far.

Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
Man, Yeah it has.

Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
And even though it's a fourteen to three lead, most
people are gonna look at that and say, oh, hey,
that is a pretty decent gap of margin there. But really,
Pep and Aalma has had chances to score. They've gotten
down to the goal line. They've gotten inside of the
red zone a couple of different times, including on that
last drive. That one they came away with no points,
but the drive before that one they only came away

(01:10:32):
with three points. So you got to give credit to
Boyceville's goal line defense because they haven't really allowed anything
happening in the red zone for this pepen Alma team,
and when they have, they've closed down really quickly on it.

Speaker 4 (01:10:42):
So credit where credits do. But on the offensive side,
I mean, it's.

Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
Been a run game for Boyceville so far, and there's
been some great passes from Rome Hill, but arguably he's
been a better runner on the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
Hey, he had that thirty yard touchdown run with his
legs running to the outside. Of course, they've both teams
have really kept the ball on the ground more often
than not, especially with this rain coming down.

Speaker 3 (01:11:06):
Yeah, and you don't want to throw the ball, and
especially with some of the receivers out there, a lot
of them aren't really haven't really had that kind of
experience with these rain games. I mean, obviously boys Will
had that rain game earlier in the season that we
was actually our introduction to this Boys Felt team. But
it is really a struggle to really get a good
grip on the ball, especially throwing the ball and even

(01:11:28):
catching the ball. And we saw it twice now, two
snaps from both from both teams actually go about thirty
yards over the quarterback's head, over the punter's head and
has caused some mishaps for both teams. I mean they
had it first in goal and then had a snap
go all the way behind Carson Romhild and they were
basically backed up to nearly the fifty yard line on
a third and goal situation. So you're trying to keep

(01:11:52):
the ball on the ground just to limit those kinds
of errors from happening. And so far ever since they've
kind of switched more to a run heavy for both teams,
he's seen less of those less of those tiki taky airs,
less of those miscups, less of those mistakes, but still
penalties for both teams have been a big factor in
this game.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
And playing the field position game. To be certain, you
touched on those two bad snaps in the first quarter,
one for both teams. Morris Pepeno also having two punts
blocked in that first half as Boysville's special teams really
doing a good job there. It just goes to prove
the old saying special players make special plays on special two.

Speaker 13 (01:12:34):
Yes they do.

Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
No, I guess they do. And we've seen that quite
a bit so far this game.

Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
And only thing we haven't seen is a Carson Royal
touchdown on a kick return yet, but who knows. We
still got plenty of game left, plenty to happen, and
I'm so excited to see what is left of this
action because right now, but that seven to nothing game
in Conchrane Fountain City, I mean, Boyceville is looking to
gear up against whoever is potentially next if they can

(01:13:00):
get to that stage. But right now, they need to
take care of business against Pep and Alma and not
allow any kind of a comeback, any kind of uh,
any kind.

Speaker 4 (01:13:08):
Of a flip up. Really that uh, you got to
keep your you got to keep the pedal to the metal,
as they.

Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Say, absolutely, well, that's what we will look for both
of these two teams to do. Heres, Boyceville is set
to receive the second half kickoff, and we will be
back with you in just about seven minutes here on
your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:13:28):
This is Friday Night Lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven. It's your home for high school football,
Moose Country one o six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
Welcome back. We've reached the second half and we are
just about set to get underway here in the WYA
Division seven High School Football Playoffs. We've reached the second
level and We've had a heck of a matchup here
between the undefeated two seed Boyceville Bulldogs and the nine
to one three seed pep Pepin Alma Eagles in this one.

(01:14:01):
As we get ready for the second half, NOA. Schwartz
and Dan Zon's alongside you here on Moose Country one
O six point seven FM and iHeartRadio here in the
Chipewall Valley and beyond. As Boyceville leading fourteen to three
over Peppin Alma, boyce pil will receive that second half
kickoff here in a couple moments.

Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
Yeah, and Boyce bel I mean, it was a little
bit of a slow start for them. They got off
his three to nothing Pepin Alma for a good chunk
of this game, but then roaring right back into it
was this Boysville Bulldog team, and man did they really
get back into it. Especially on the defensive side of
the ball. It felt like I felt like Pepen Alma
was gonna be able to do whatever they want. But

(01:14:41):
they keyed in really well on Bergman and forced a
couple of three and outs, a couple of turnovers on downs,
and just like that they went up fourteen to three,
especially getting that stop at the end of the half
was very important to keep this game a two score lead.

Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
Absolutely, And as we get ready for this one, there's
about a minute left on the scoreboard clock. Just a
quick update on the weather. According to the phone, it
is still thirty nine degrees and according to our eyeballs
up here in the boot, the rain is still falling down.
It's been steady since about half an hour before kickoff.
You'd say we ran in a little bit on the

(01:15:16):
road up here.

Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
Yeah, And it didn't really start right away right away,
because I remember we were walking around getting some good
burgers from the concession stands, taking a taking a look
at all the cool costumes that some of the kiddos
and some of the student fans had broad and worn,
because like I said, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Some of the old guys.

Speaker 3 (01:15:31):
Some double guys do yeah, yeah, including us check out
on LinkedIn. But that's the thing is this rain has
been such a factor in this game. I mean, we've
seen two fumbled snaps that have gone thirty yards over
both the punter and both the quarterbacks had for both
have been Alma and for both Boyceville. But we've seen

(01:15:54):
them kind of go more towards the ground game as
this game has gone on with the more the rain
has come down, and that's gonna be what's really gonna
be impactful in this next half here for this Boysful
Bulldog team as well as the pepinam the Eagles.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
Kevin Bower is ready to kick things away for Peppin Almah,
moving from right to left. There's two guys back there
for Boysville. This one will be a squib kickfielded and
about the forty falling on there, and it looks like
that was Tucker Linstrom and there's a pile down there
just making sure that Lindstrom had that ball. Hey, so

(01:16:27):
they're going to say Ton recovered the fumble there for
boyce PHL and boyce PHL will take over first and
ten right at their own forty yard lines. They look
to extend this fourteen to three. Leave.

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
Yeah, just theo up back didn't get really enough on
that ball and just kind of slipped out a little bit, and.

Speaker 3 (01:16:45):
Just the Eagles came right there reaching up and if
you can't get a good thought hold on it, they
can still go after that football. Until you're down down
and touched down, you are still live.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
Will be first and ten from their own forty Rome
hild snaps it quick handoff to Zach Hellendrung and Helen
Drung fights forward to the forty four. It's a gain
of four where the boys Phil running back now second
and six, and you.

Speaker 4 (01:17:10):
Can't call conservative if you're Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
You need to still come out with that same energy,
same play calling that got you this lead in the
first half. Fourteen to three here is only an eleven
point lead. It's not like you're up twenty one to three, twenty.

Speaker 4 (01:17:22):
Eight to three.

Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
You can't just coast. You need to keep pushing forward.
And that was a good run there, started off by
Zach Hellendrung.

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
This Bulldog team has rarely coasted this season. Fourteen to
three is the score, as it'll be a handoff this
time it's Tucker Lindstrom and Lindstrom across the forty five.
Looks like it's a gain of two to about the
forty six. I'll make it third and about four here
here for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
Yeah, very manageable and obviously kind of starting off with
a couple of runs here to get that clock moving,
keep the keep that ground game alive too, and they've
been getting some decent push but here on third down
and four. You want to try and get something going,
maybe in the air, maybe with Romhild on a keeper.
Those have been really working for them and it's it's
gonna be interesting to see what they drop here.

Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
It'll be third and four ball at their own forty
six yard line here for boys Phil. Two backs in
the backfield, one man out wide on the far side,
and Romhild under center. He's gonna fake the handoff roll
to his right. He's under pressure going deep down the field,
just incomplete as it looked like that one was intended
for Owen ry Dell, deep down the field, just out

(01:18:29):
past his outstretched fingertips. It'll be fourth and four and
now it's decision time for Boysville.

Speaker 4 (01:18:35):
Yeah, and Onen ry Dell.

Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
He had a couple of good catches there in that
last game against Webster two, but just nothing there for him.
Romhild had the arm strength for it, just a little
bit off targein. Rydell couldn't get back into it. Now,
fourth down and fourth, big big possession here for the
defense of pepin Alma.

Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
They're gonna keep the offense out there for Boyceville. Fourth
and four from their own forty six yard lone.

Speaker 4 (01:18:59):
Now he got punched Oa.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
It will be a punt formation as Carson rome Hild
is back to send this one deep, one man back
to return for Peppinoma. No, Rome Hill's gonna keep it.
He needs four yards. He's got it. That's a first
down across midfield for Carson rome Hills. I can tell you, Dad,
it makes it a lot easier to run a fake
punt when your punter and your quarterback are the same man.

Speaker 3 (01:19:21):
Absolutely, and oh my goodness, what a run there fight
rome Hild. And it felt like the Peppinhalma Eagles were
just oh yeah, No, they're gonna punt this one right, Nope,
not gonna happen. There's rome Hill just completely snuck off
the side. There only two players on the defense really
recognized that he was going for that fake.

Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
It'll be first and ten from the Peppinoalma forty seven
here for Boyceville. They're still leading fourteen to three, ten
and a half minutes left to go in this third quarter.
Under center, it'll be a pitch that one goes to
the line and Leslie running on the far side. Leslie
up past the forty five gain of about three or
four second down.

Speaker 3 (01:19:59):
Yeah, that's still a good pick up there for that
boyseball team, but even better defense there by pepin Almo
not really allowing any big time rushes, and that's kind
of been what they've been doing for most of this game.
The only real big rushers throughout this has been Carson Romhild.

Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Game of three. That time makes it second and seven
as we passed the ten minute mark here in this
third quarter, will be Rome Heild under center, two backs
in the backfield, as voyce fil shows, run flag before
the snap, and they're going to blow this one dead.
Looks like it's off sides against pepen All though is

(01:20:36):
offsides and looks like we could see that one ahead
of the snap because they just got started a little
bit too early.

Speaker 4 (01:20:43):
Dan, Yeah, and that was Bergmann, actually he had.

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
He is the type of guy to really put his
nose into that line, but obviously just way too close
on that one, and they made sure.

Speaker 4 (01:20:53):
To call it this time.

Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
So it excuse me. Second and seven turns into second
and two. The balls all the way up to the
peppen Alma thirty nine yard line here with nine to
thirty five and counting left to go on the third
Rome Hill's under center. He will hand off to Helen Drunk.
Helen Drunk's got a big hole first down and more
up to the twenty yard line. They're gonna say he's

(01:21:15):
stopped at the twenty one. That is a huge first
down for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
A run there by Helen Drunk and he just he
even though he's that big man, he's the bruiser of
the backfield there.

Speaker 4 (01:21:28):
Linztrum's kind of the faster guy. He can take off.

Speaker 3 (01:21:31):
He absolutely can put on the burners and just want
to run there by the big fella. He had eight
carries for seventy one last game and nine yards per carry.

Speaker 2 (01:21:40):
Woo.

Speaker 4 (01:21:40):
That's a hard guy to run against.

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Great numbers. That first step and he's already almost at
full speed. The acceleration on Zach. Helen Drunk is a
running back, pretty incredible. Will be first down and ten
yards to go right from the twenty two yard line.
This time, they handed off to Tucker Linstrom and Lynstrom
across the twenty in the red zone to about the
nineteen or eighteen brings up second down here for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:22:05):
Yeah, and it didn't look like there's a lot going
on that play, but Winstrom was able to kind of
move forward ahead and get a little bit more. He
kind of is able to be shifty like that, just
wiggling between tackles and kind of get the extra yardage
by just throwing his body forward, and just.

Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
That time gave him. Instead of a second and eight
became second and six ill.

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
Be second and six. Here after that gain of four,
they spotted at the eighteen yard line, one wide receiver
on the near side. Instead, it's a hand off to
Helen Drunk and Helen Drunk doing what he does best,
pushing that pile up across the fifteen the fourteen. It's
gonna be mighty close, and it looks like it'll be
third and a yard or two.

Speaker 13 (01:22:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:22:42):
And that's the thing too, is I've liked what they've
gone and like pushed through on this offense. It's been
a lot of ground and pound and especially utilizing Helen Drunk,
especially through the middle of that field, and with those
big tackles in the middle, you think that it'd be
a little bit harder to stop, or be a little
bit easier to stop, but just he is just so
hard to bring down. He is just a big, big

(01:23:04):
bowling ball to just bounce off these tacklers.

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
Rome Hill to under center on third and two, it's
a handoff to Helen Drunk again. He's got the first
down as he gets up across the ten to about
the nine, and it looks like that I'll make it
first and goal for Voiceville.

Speaker 4 (01:23:20):
And just an incredible start to this drive so far.

Speaker 3 (01:23:24):
We'll not start to this drive, but really a continuation
of this drive because they had gotten third down and
short a couple of different times, and they had struggled
a little bit on third down there force throwing fourth
down a couple of different times or running on fourth down.
But now just coming up here first down and goal
at the nine yard line. This is going to be
some interesting territory as peppin Alma has also been pretty

(01:23:44):
stringing with this defense on the goal line.

Speaker 2 (01:23:47):
First and goal from the nine. Remember boys film made
that big goal line stop ahead of the half. Here
on the first drive of the third quarter, they are
challenging first in goal as rolling to his right after
a fake handoff as the quarterback Rome Hill makes one
man missed now out of bounds right at the ten
and taking down laid out of bounds bill flag. It
looks like it'll be no gain and second down, second.

Speaker 3 (01:24:11):
Goal, and just couldn't really find any kind of gap
out there's Rome Hill. A great job by the defensive
end there for pepin Alma, number seventy one.

Speaker 4 (01:24:21):
He's just been great at keeping or not seventy one.

Speaker 3 (01:24:23):
I believe that's number seventy on that side, but I
can't really see the number right now, But so far,
just got to keep that inside the boundaries because every
time they bounce out of the boundaries, they've been able
to take off for an big outside run.

Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Second and goal still from the nine, Rome Hill. This
time he'll hand it off to Helen Drunk again. Helen
Drung running hard, gets up to about the six, and
they're gonna say that's a gain of three makes a
third and goal from the six.

Speaker 4 (01:24:50):
And that's another thing too.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
If you want to try and play the four down
territory here, because you're right there on that goal line,
you can do that. You can get that extra maybe
for maybe two or three or four yards there, and
then go for it again on fourth down. You're right
in that prime position, and even if you don't get it,
you put them far back in their own territory.

Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
It will be third and goal from the five six
twenty four and counting left to go. Is Boys Phil
challenging once again. It's a handoff to Helen Drunk. Helen
Drunk with a full head of steam. He pushes forward
and Zach Helen Drunk with a five yard touchdown run.
That's a boys l touchdown.

Speaker 4 (01:25:28):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:25:30):
He definitely wanted to make up for not being able
to get that touchdown in the first quarter that got
called back.

Speaker 4 (01:25:34):
Gets it there with a big run and he.

Speaker 3 (01:25:37):
Got He definitely got that reward there at the end
for carrying that drive through in and through out. And
now up twenty to three, they're gonna look to go
for two.

Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
It appears nearly a six minute drive. As you said it,
twenty to three. That's the Boys Phil lead, and it
looks like they're gonna go for two once again.

Speaker 4 (01:25:56):
They got the last one, but they didn't get their
first one of the game.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
We'll have to see. They're spending some time here in
the huddle making sure they've got this play call right,
and now they're going to call a time out here
ahead of his two point conversion attempt. So we'll keep
it here just to talk about this one. Obviously, they're
one for two here on two point conversion attempts tonight.

(01:26:21):
They got stuffed the first time, but managed to make
up for it and get it back to a fourteen
point lead with their second two point conversion attempt. Do
you think at this point they maybe rethink this and
put the kicker out there.

Speaker 3 (01:26:34):
I mean yes and no, because even if they kick
this field goal, it'll still be a three score lead.
If they don't make this a two point conversion, it's
still a three score lead. You still have a seventeen
point lead. So at the end of the day, I mean,
either way you go with this, it can be a
good decision because you can still get that twenty two
to three lead.

Speaker 4 (01:26:52):
It's a nineteen point lead.

Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
But in all honesty, this one doesn't really matter as much,
just purely because it's such an awkward score right now.

Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
So what you're saying is it's a horse a piece
either way.

Speaker 4 (01:27:04):
Yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 2 (01:27:06):
I learned in my my linguistics class this week that
people in other parts of the country don't use that expression.

Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
I'm actually surprised by that because I heard that a
lot growing up, so to hear the maybe it's more
of a Midwestern thing, but I've always thought that that
was a common saying.

Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
I know it makes sense to me. You know, it's well,
we'll get into that later. That's blowout material and that's
far from what we have here. As here for the
two pointer, except it is a run to the left side.
Didn't quite see who the black carrier was. That two
point conversion is good and that will make it a
twenty two to three Boyceville leads six eighteen left to

(01:27:40):
go on the third. Here on your home for high
school football.

Speaker 1 (01:27:45):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 11 (01:27:50):
Are you thinking about buying a new Apple, mac iPad
or iPhone, or maybe you just need help with what
you have?

Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
Welcome back, well Boyceville is doing what they've done all
season long, as they've taken a big lead here in
the third quarter on that opening drive twenty two to three.
That's their score here over Pep and Alma, and they
took away about half of that first quarter, excuse me,
that third quarter on that drive. Now they're getting ready
to kick it away here to the Pep and Alma Eagles.

Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
That's quite literally a perfect drive completely capped off with
that two point conversion too, and now nineteen point lead.
This is going to be throwing territory, even though you
know that this is a better running team than throwing team.

Speaker 4 (01:28:56):
They're gonna need to start airing out this ball now.

Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Helen drunk kick from left to right, puts this one
in the air. That one will be fielded about the
fifteen yard line, a little bit of slip and they're
gonna call him down. As looks like Cole mcquinston on
the return wanted to pick that one up and run
with it. But it will be first in ten at
about the sixteen yard line, they're gonna call it. And

(01:29:21):
so for a team that was already coming into this
drive behind the eight ball now to be backed up
that far. What do you think of that, Dan, Yeah, I.

Speaker 4 (01:29:28):
Mean that's the thing too.

Speaker 3 (01:29:30):
As soon as your knee touches the ground on a
kickoff return like that, you are down by no matter
who's over there, and especially there.

Speaker 4 (01:29:37):
It's does not set up your offense well. And now
you have to go a full field.

Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
Prosco under center. The handoff goes to Justin Bergman and
Bergman fights forward to about the twenty. It's a gain
of five and second down.

Speaker 3 (01:29:49):
And honestly, that was such a big gain for Bergmann
because he had gotten again wrapped up around the goal
or or wrapped up around the scrimmage line, but still
was able to power through. And I mean that's why
he's got eighteen hundred yards rushing on the season. You
can't count him out and they're gonna keep going fast
on you like this, so you got to be able
to manage him and coral him.

Speaker 2 (01:30:10):
It is a three score deficit here for Peppenalma first
intent excuse me, second and five from their own looks
like twenty. It's a handoff that time looks like it
was Bergman again and Bergman gets nearly to get me
up onto the twenty five looks like to about the

(01:30:31):
twenty two and that will make it now third and.

Speaker 3 (01:30:34):
Four and John Madison getting that stop there too. He's
been great this season so far for this defense. I mean,
talk about a guy that can be consistently in and
out there at the defensive end, really closing it down
and one of the sack leaders for this team as well.

Speaker 4 (01:30:48):
Just a great job by him.

Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
Five oh seven left to go big third down here
for pepin Aalm a third and four? Is this one
is a fake handoff throws?

Speaker 1 (01:30:58):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:30:59):
He was wild open but incomplete through the bred basket
of Eli Crazy and or Crosy just oh, you know
he wants that one back. He had green Grass ahead
of him did the junior tight end for Pepin Alma
just could not corral that football.

Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
And I almost wonder if that was a factor in
him dropping that football. I know the rain is coming
down still, but he looked ahead before he caught that ball,
And anytime you look ahead before you come down with
that ball, there's always a chance you're not gonna it's
gonna hit your hands, You're gonna miscount or lose where
it is in lights, because when you look back for it,
it's already somewhere else. You need to keep eye contact

(01:31:38):
on that ball as they punt this ball.

Speaker 2 (01:31:40):
It will be a punt that one nearly blocked for
what would have been the third time Rome Heild fields
in at midfield. He's gonna have a big return up
past the thirty nearly to the twenty out of bounds.
It looked like one of the officials took a wall
upon that play. Good to see he's up and moving.
But Carson Romhild a big return and we're gonna have
to see on the spot.

Speaker 3 (01:32:00):
Yeah, and love that the Boyceville team teammates all came
over and just came in to check on him to
make sure he's doing okay. That's a good thing to
have when your team is willing to go out there
and make sure that the officials are doing well.

Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
Yeah. Good culture here for this Boysville team and it
has taken them a long way here this season is
after that big return from Carson rome Hill, it'll be
first and ten at the Peppin Alma twenty five yard
line here as boysfil already leading twenty two to three,
up by nineteen points, looking to put it away. As
here's the first down carry for Zach Helen drunk, and

(01:32:33):
Helen Drunk with ten yards of his own, putting his
shoulders down and carrying a couple of tacklers for another
Boysville first down.

Speaker 3 (01:32:42):
And just so many arm tackles I've seen from this
Eagles defense, and you just cannot tackle, especially these boysfail
bulldog running backs like that.

Speaker 4 (01:32:51):
They're gonna go through you anytime. Doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (01:32:52):
If it's Hellen Drunk, doesn't matter, if it's Winstrom, doesn't matter,
if it's Landon Leslie out there. They've all been trained
to go out there and to put your shoulder down
and keep your legs churning.

Speaker 2 (01:33:01):
First and ten from the fourteen, once again it's Helen
Drung running to his right, runs over man up past
the ten to about the eight yard line. Is Zach
Helen Drunk really carrying the mail here for boys Phil
to night?

Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
And it looked like that was Bergman on that tackle
actually too, And great job by him. He made that
open field tackle against one of the bigger guys on
that field, so big ups to him.

Speaker 4 (01:33:24):
But still second and five, big gain on that one
from the big man.

Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
Second and five ball right at the ten yard line,
and the students here in Boys Phil they're going crazy,
jumping up and down behind their bulldogs. Is this one
looking pretty good here? Late in the third quarter, Rome
Hilton company trying to put it away. It's a fake handoff.
Rome Hilt's gonna keep it rolling out to his right.
He's in some trouble and he gets up to about

(01:33:50):
the five, takes a heavy hit and he's down out
of bounds. Looks like around that five yard line and
it's gonna be close. There have to they're gonna say that.
That is another voicemail. First down, they're on the keeper
for rome Hill.

Speaker 3 (01:34:06):
So obviously laying that body out there for good there.
Good job by a person. Romhill to just continue to
power through. And we've seen that a couple of times.
He may be the quarterback, but he's willing to put
his shoulder down and run through a guy or two.
And took a big lick on that one. Good to
see him get back up. He almost popped right back up.

Speaker 2 (01:34:23):
Oh oh wait, he took that and you're young, you
can do that. Oh yeah, I think if I took
a hit like that, I wouldn't walk for a week.
But it'll be first and goal from the four hand
off to Tucker Linztrom and Lynz tromp across the goal
line into the end zone for another voice Fell touchdown. Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
So another one there for Tucker Linstrom, another one inside
the ten for him, and two touchdowns now for him,
Another one for Zach helen Jung and this running game
has been going off the charts for boys pil and
also there's one for Rome Hill too.

Speaker 4 (01:34:58):
Everyone's getting to carry.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
It's been a lot of fun to watch this team
run the football. Here and right with three minutes left
to go in the third quarter, it is twenty eight
to three here Boysville leading pepin alward as it looks
like they're going to go four to two once again
here for Boysville as Rome Hild will come out, excuse me,

(01:35:21):
he's in the shotgun here on the two point conversion
attempt as false start flags before that one and Boysfviel's
gonna have to back up five yards on the Bulldogs
looked like they were going to that direct snaplook again
it was.

Speaker 3 (01:35:38):
And I think that's why everyone was like, oh, because
that looked like it was gonna be an easy one
for them again, but obviously backs them up and now
you change a little bit here. It's gonna be interesting
to see if they keep them out there, if they
go for an extra point here.

Speaker 4 (01:35:50):
But it looks like they're going for two.

Speaker 2 (01:35:52):
They've gone for two all night and it's worked for him.
So with what is now a four score lead with
three minutes left in the third note, it looks like
they're gonna go. Ah this excuse me. That is still
a two point conversion attempt. As Rome Hild is back
to pass, he's gonna roll left, he's gonna run for it,
lowers the shoulder, but he's down at the one after

(01:36:15):
that five yard penalty. Is still a good five yard
run there, maybe six or Ron Mild, but he is
taken down out of bounds and the score remains twenty
eight to three. Boys, fill over pepin Alma. You're on
your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:36:31):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:37:06):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:37:12):
Welcome back. Three minutes left to go on the third
quarter and it's been all Boysville here in Round two
of the WIAA Division seven playoffs. Is they lead Pepinolma
thirteen or excuse me, twenty eight to three?

Speaker 4 (01:37:25):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (01:37:26):
Might not get thirteen, well that was a score earlier
in the game, but hey, there we go. And now
Boyceville at a game that almost getting that two point conversion.
But god Man Rome Hill in the last couple of
drives here has taken some massive hits.

Speaker 4 (01:37:43):
Especially with a twenty eight to three lead. You'll probably expect.

Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
Him to probably exit the field as soon as they
maybe get another score or a running clock here. But
as of right now, he's been really just that enforcer
out there. And when you have a quarterback like that
that's willing to throw his body out on the line.

Speaker 4 (01:37:59):
Everyone rally around it.

Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
Yeah, it certainly shows a lot about the leadership of
that young man. Has really been such a leader on
this boys field team once again, twenty eight to three.
The score is. It looks like it'll be Helen Drung
to kick this one away and get us back underway
here with three minutes left to go in this third quarter.
Helen Drung moving from right to left. That's a little

(01:38:21):
squib kick. Almost looked like an on side of temperature
is falling on right at the forty five by Peppinolma,
and that's where they will take over.

Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
And it's felt like the kicking has just been a
little bit inconsistent from both teams. I have a feeling
the planting is a bit a bit of an issue
right now, especially with how slick the field is, so
just trying to get a grip on that and trying
to get an actual lineup has been an issue for
both of the kicking teams and really special teams in general,
to be honest with you.

Speaker 2 (01:38:48):
And the rain it's still coming down. I think you
might call it almost a mist now, but it's certainly.
Still very evident, especially when you look up toward the lights,
is it'll be first intend from the forty five. This
will be a handoff to Bergman running to his left,
and that'll be a gain of about three second down.

Speaker 3 (01:39:06):
And even with it being a twenty five point game
right now, you still can't let up on that gas.
You still have to go out there and play as
if it's a zero zero game because.

Speaker 4 (01:39:14):
This is the playoffs. Anything can happen out there.

Speaker 2 (01:39:17):
Game of three there for Bergmann is pepin Ama looking
to keep their offense rolling. They've been a running offense
all year long and this is not changing here. Two
and a half minutes left before the end of the
third quarter, it'll be a handoff to Bergman, this time
to his right, and Bergman with a gain of about
six there, we'll make it third and one.

Speaker 3 (01:39:41):
Yeah, now a chance to really see what they've got.
Maybe they're going to back it up to about the
third and two, third three mark, but still looked like
it was gonna be about a third and one marking.
But still just showing him how hard Bergman runs out
there and how he's willing to put his body on
the line for the team.

Speaker 2 (01:39:56):
Quickly little line here for Pepinalma. It'll be third and
three once again. They come out in a jumbo set.
Once again. They hand the ball off to Ban and Bergmann.
He's got the first down. He's up to about the
forty before he is taken down. That'll be a Peppenolma
first down.

Speaker 3 (01:40:12):
Yeah, And it appeared everyone kind of lost him on
that defense. There was a couple of players that went
towards the quarterback, and then a couple of others that
looked for a pitch around the other side, but went
right up the middle and broke through some tackles, and
it was enough to keep on going for Bergmann.

Speaker 2 (01:40:28):
Minute thirty eight and counting left to go in this
third quarter, and peppin Alma across midfield to the Boyceville
forty first and sent so be a fake handoff to
Bergmann throwing deep down the field. That one's cut. Krausy
is caught inside the five before he's taken down as

(01:40:49):
Kroska threw deep in that time, Krouzy, after dropping the
one before, is able to haul it in.

Speaker 3 (01:40:55):
When just a big time throw there by Krowsy or
a big time throw theer by Krovska to Rosy there
and Crowsy making up for that last one, but Bennett's
had a step. It looked like he could have maybe
made a pass break on that one, but just a
well placed ball there by Krotska.

Speaker 2 (01:41:10):
It will be first in goal from the five here
for Peppenalma. Twenty eight to three is the score of
seventy seconds left in the third quarter, as this will
be a handoff running to his right. Looks like that's
Bergmann again. I don't think he's in, but looks like
it's a gain of a couple now second in goal.

Speaker 3 (01:41:28):
Yeah, and just a great job there by the defensive
line to really close down, not allowing anything for Bergmann
there and still second and four, maybe only getting about
a gain of one maybe one and a half, but
you got to really close down on it.

Speaker 4 (01:41:40):
You can't let them running between.

Speaker 2 (01:41:42):
If you're Peppin Alma, a yard is better than no yards.
There's second and four to thirty nine seconds left to
go in the quarter as it's a fake handoff and
back there in the pocket thrown to the end zone.
It threw the hands, looked like he wanted post but
Kraska he just could not get that one complete, and
now it'll be third and goal from the four.

Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
And it looked like there was a flag on the ground,
but I guess they maybe, oh no, that's still down there.

Speaker 2 (01:42:07):
It is down there. It's at about the two yard
line and it is against Boysville, so that'll be half
the distance to the goal. That'll make it now a
third and goal from the two.

Speaker 3 (01:42:19):
Wow, So a big time penalty there for the defense.
But if you're pepping only, you have to capitalize on this. Now,
this is the closest you've really gotten to.

Speaker 2 (01:42:28):
This goal is now it will be second and two
thirty seconds left in the quarter. Excuse me, second and
goal from the two. Could not quite see what the
signal was on that call. Second alright, So it looks
like another running formation here, it's a handoff to Bergmann

(01:42:49):
pushes forward. He looking for a signal they're gonna say
he's short. Fourth and goal coming from the one.

Speaker 3 (01:42:56):
I believe it was a defensive holding on one of
the corners, but I didn't see who it was on
for that one. But still only a one yard gain
on that one. Still third down and one goal to
go here.

Speaker 4 (01:43:08):
Just got to keep on it, just got to keep
up that defensive pressure. If your boys fell.

Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
Third and goal from the one, will they get a
snap off as they do know whistles ahead of the
snap as the quarter expires, so both teams are going
to have another couple of minutes to think about. If
this one, they'll take a long ninety eight yard walk
down to the other side of the field. Guys, we'll
start the fourth quarter next with Boysville up twenty eight

(01:43:33):
to three on Pep and Alma. Here on your home
for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:43:38):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 4 (01:43:45):
Do thank Heaven.

Speaker 2 (01:43:47):
Congrats.

Speaker 17 (01:43:48):

Speaker 4 (01:44:08):
When you need another help, Pa.

Speaker 1 (01:44:14):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country, one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:44:19):
Welcome back, everybody. It's the fourth quarter. Noah Schwartz and
Dan zoons alongside you as it's the WIAA Division seven
High School football Playoffs in the second round, voice Bill
leading pepin Alma twenty eight to three. But it will
be third and goal from the one yard line here
for the pepin Alma Eagles.

Speaker 4 (01:44:37):
And this is fourth isuand territory.

Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
No matter how you cut it, even if you do
uh not get if you don't get this, you still
are going to go for it on this next one.
It's too late in the game, too big of a gap.
This is gonna be an interesting couple of plays.

Speaker 2 (01:44:50):
Third and goal from the one. As they show run
crossca under center, two backs in the backfield, it's a
handoff to Bergman. Kroska thinks he's in and that is
the signal Bergman into the end zone for the first
peppin Alma touchdown of the night. That'll make this a
twenty eight to nine game and now just a nineteen
point deficit with eleven fifty six left to go here

(01:45:14):
in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:45:15):
And Bergmann is such a big back to have back there,
you almost can just put them all right over the
top like Joe Flacco used to do on the goal
line and just say all right, push them into the
push them into the end zone for an easy touchdown,
because that's a six to one guy one hundred and
ninety five pounds.

Speaker 4 (01:45:31):
And they have an interesting lineup out here for the
two point conversion.

Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
Yeah, they're gonna go. It looks like it's going to
be one of those interesting lineups for the extra point
rather as Bowers out there getting ready to kick this
one through the uprights. The snap is good, Oh, they
are going to go for two. A little reverse throw
it to the end zone incomplete. That one falls right
ahead of the outstretched arms of It was crowsy again

(01:45:56):
on a two point conversion. So once again, still a
nineteen point deficit. Eleven fifty six left to play here
on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:46:05):
This is Friday Night lice on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 8 (01:46:10):

Speaker 13 (01:46:37):
Seven point five eight five five one zero two zero.

Speaker 1 (01:46:41):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
Welcome back, everybody. Eleven fifty six left to go, and
it's a little bit more of a game. Is now
Boysville leading Pep and Olive I score of twenty eight
to nine here as we continue on on the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (01:47:00):
Yeah, and just a great put together drive there by
Pep and Alma to really find that end zone. And
I mean it came with a massive pass to Eli Kraus.
And that's another thing you have to note.

Speaker 4 (01:47:10):
Even though they don't throw the ball very much, they
still have a decent quarterback back there that can really
sling it.

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
Getting ready to kick this one away will be Bauer.
He steps into it, moving from left to right. That
one will be fielded at about the twenty by not
sure who that was for Boysville, it was Bennett's we're
hearing He gets up to about the thirty five yard
line and that is where boys pil will take over.

Speaker 3 (01:47:41):
And now if you're boys, Phil. That last drive was
absolutely perfect, not only knocking down half of that third
quarter in time, but also getting a touchdown and a
two point conversion. Obviously, it's a hard thing to replicate
being being against such a tough defense, but to get
something similar like that and knock down some more time,

(01:48:01):
chew up some yards, get some more carries out there,
I mean, you're you got to win the possession game.

Speaker 2 (01:48:07):
Here here comes Boyceville first and ten from their own
thirty five yard line. Rome Hild will be under center,
two backs in the backfield. This is a handoff to
Zach Hellendrung wanted to run right, cut back to his left,
and will be a gain of a couple now second down.

Speaker 3 (01:48:22):
Yeah, and a good job by him to recognize that
that right side had gotten completely walled off. Still gained
a couple of yards even with really getting a bit
closer in that inside game, but still picks up a
good solid two yards.

Speaker 2 (01:48:36):
Yeah, because now it will be second and eight after
the gain of two from Zach helen Drung, eleven twenty
five left to go here in this fourth quarter. Twenty
eight to nine is the score Boyceville trying to put
it away yea, rome Hild will be under center once again,
two backs in the backfield for the bulldoze fake handoff.

(01:48:57):
Rome Hild's gonna keep it himself, running to his right
along that far sideline. He's got the first down and
more up pass midfield and out of bounds near the forties.
Carson Romhild. I don't have the stats in front of me,
but it feels like rome Hild has got a lot
more yards on the ground than through the air tonight.
Either way, it's a big game and a big first
down for Boysville.

Speaker 3 (01:49:19):
I mean, for how big of the guys they have
up front in Peppin Alma and their defensive tackles, their
edges haven't really been set for most of this night,
so they've been allowing rome Hill to just escape outside
the pocket. And when you allow such a dynamic guy
to escape like that, a guy that's willing to put
his shoulder into you full speed ahead, that's just not
a recipe for success.

Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
Will be first and ten from the Peppin Alma forty
here for Boysville, it's a handoff to Helen Drung once again.
Helen Drung runs into the line, not a whole lot
on that one looked like he almost slipped on some
wet grass.

Speaker 4 (01:49:51):
Second and sec carrier, Yeah, and it really did look
like he did too.

Speaker 3 (01:49:54):
But just a good gear, just a good job by
this defense so far for peppin Aalma, especially up the middle.
Breckon Hollopetter has been such a good just he just
all he really has to do is just stand right
in the middle and just he completely makes a pile
in front of him because he's just six foot fourth,
three to zero five. It's hard to block against the
guy like that, and it's even hard to run against
a guy like that because even if you chop lock him,

(01:50:17):
there's just a complete pile that's made of this giant,
six foot four guy.

Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
He'll be second and ten, no gain from Helen Drug
on first down, as once again it'll be a handoff.
This time it's Tucker Linstrom. It looks like Lindstrom gets
maybe a yard that time, but it will still be
third and nine here for Boysville. Just about ten minutes left.

Speaker 3 (01:50:37):
To play, and these inside runs really haven't been working
for Boysville, especially now that they've been keyed in on
and know that they're gonna just try and run this
ball and be as be conservative, but really you need
to keep that foot on the gas pedal.

Speaker 4 (01:50:51):
You're not done yet. You still have nine to fifty
three to go.

Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
They were able to score that touchdown pretty quickly in
terms of how things have gone in the game so far.

Speaker 4 (01:51:00):
You still have to keep moving.

Speaker 2 (01:51:02):
Third and nine, ball right on the thirty nine yard line.
They sent a man in motion back to passes Roam
Hild after the fake, but he is taking down big
sack back across midfield as there were three pep and
all my eagles back there. The one raising his hands
toward the crowd is Cole mcquisten, the defensive back in linebacker.

(01:51:25):
That'll bring up fourth and twenty three and it looks
like boys, Phil's goin to have to punt.

Speaker 3 (01:51:31):
Yeah, And that time there was just three unblocked guys
that shot right through and no matter who it was,
that was gonna end up a sack, no matter which
way you cut it.

Speaker 4 (01:51:40):
They just need to have better communication when it comes.

Speaker 3 (01:51:42):
To blitz coverage like that because they're just it felt
like there wasn't any communication at all. Let three people
right up the middle and just no chance to get
that ball out.

Speaker 2 (01:51:52):
Twenty eight to nine. On fourth and twenty three, rome
Hild will punt steps into that one. That's a much
better effort than his last one fair catch called for
at the twenty yard line that time by Anders Seffert.
On the reception, of course, Romhild had that one. It
kind of went off the side of his foot for
about fifteen yards earlier on at one he really stepped into.

Speaker 4 (01:52:14):
Yeah, and now this defense has to really come up
big here. I mean, you gave up that last touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:52:20):
It only took a little bit of time off the clock,
and that's great for the pep and Alma Eagles. But
if you're a voice fail, you just got to make
sure that you still let them burn off as much
time as they want, let them run the ball all
they want.

Speaker 4 (01:52:31):
You just can't give up any big pass plays.

Speaker 2 (01:52:34):
Eight forty seven left to go, twenty eight to nine.
Is the lead is on first down, it will be
a carry and once again for peppin Alma, that looks
like Bergman. Actually all right, well we'll find out who
it was. But it's a game of four now, second
and six for peppin Alm.

Speaker 3 (01:52:53):
Yeah, and looking at the other score right now, right now,
Conchrane Fountain City up big twenty seven to nothing on
this Glenwood City team.

Speaker 2 (01:53:00):
Six from the twenty four Here for Peppenalalma. This time
it's a It is a carry for Bergmann up the
middle and Bergmann pushing his way nearly to the thirty
that would be the line to gain. They're gonna call
that a peppin Alma first down. That was a quick
signal there, but we'll go with it.

Speaker 3 (01:53:18):
Yeah, I mean it looked a little bit closer than that,
but they obviously saw something we didn't and they're closer
to the field, so they're gonna give that a first.

Speaker 4 (01:53:26):
Down and they're moving right now on offense.

Speaker 2 (01:53:29):
Will be first and ten ball at the thirty one
yard line as the Eagles get another new set of downs.
Eight minutes left to play. Here in the fourth Prasca
under center, two wide receivers on the near side. He
drops to throw throws near side, got a man complete
that's post and post Uh able to get a gain

(01:53:49):
of about five. They're gonna call it four officially. Carson
rome Hill on the tackle now second down.

Speaker 3 (01:53:56):
Yeah, and he fell down too, but was still able
to get back up to his feet and made that tackle.

Speaker 2 (01:54:00):
On him, so it'll be second and sixth from the
thirty four Peppin Alma working quickly. Fumble nearly recovered by
Ryde Dell, but uh crossca able to recover and fall
on that one. He'll make it. Third and eight after
the loss of two.

Speaker 4 (01:54:16):
And it appears the rain has stopped.

Speaker 3 (01:54:18):
Just looking at the lights right now, it doesn't look
like anything's coming down. Maybe a slight bit of something,
but as of right now, I don't see anything.

Speaker 4 (01:54:25):
So just still that ground is still wet.

Speaker 3 (01:54:27):
Doesn't matter if there's anything coming down, You're still gonna
have water all over your hands. You're still gonna try
and dry it off. But fumble there and nearly a
bad turnover for Pepin.

Speaker 2 (01:54:37):
Third and seven from the thirty three Peppin Alma hands
it off. That's Post Post is taken down and that
will bring out fourth and five.

Speaker 3 (01:54:47):
Excellent tackle there, Excellent tackle there, because that was almost
a big breakaway there for Owen Post.

Speaker 4 (01:54:53):
Who is a speedster.

Speaker 3 (01:54:54):
He breaks outside that tackle and he's gone for a
touchdown instead. It's fourth down now, and you gotta get
this if you're peppin Alma.

Speaker 4 (01:55:02):
Otherwise this could be a game ender.

Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
Clock eclipsing six and a half minutes left to play.
Twenty eight to nine is the score here. Peppen Almad
needs points and they need them in a hurry if
they're gonna have any chance here. On fourth and five,
back to pass looking over the far side, complete, that'll
be a first down as it looks like that was

(01:55:25):
Owen post again as Krosker got that ball out quickly.
Another first down for Peppen Alma and they needed.

Speaker 3 (01:55:31):
That one desperately, and like I said, get it to
your most trusted receiver out there own posts three hundred yards,
not a single other player has over one hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:55:40):
It'll be first and ten from their own forty two
as that'll be a handoff. Looks like that is Cole
mcquisten running near side. He gets up to about the
forty five, maybe the forty six. It'll be second and six.

Speaker 3 (01:55:54):
After that game of four, still six minutes to go,
still a lot of time left even with them running
this football.

Speaker 2 (01:56:00):
No huddle offense once again for Pepinalma. Looks like that's
going to be the status quo is this time it's
a handoff back to Bergman and Bergman is stuffed at
the line. No gain Neck. They're gonna say lost in
the yard now third and eight, and it looks like
Peppinalma is gonna call it time out. So, with five
point thirty nine left to play in the fourth quarter,

(01:56:21):
Boysville leading twenty eight to nine. Here on your home

Speaker 2 (01:57:05):
Welcome back, everybody. Five thirty nine left to play in
this fourth quarter, Boyceville hanging on to a twenty eight
to nine lead of Peppenalma they're putting a drive together.
They've really been special this fourth quarter day.

Speaker 4 (01:57:18):
Yes they have, and but boysfil needs to really curb
that if you're.

Speaker 3 (01:57:21):
Gonna end this game the way you came into it,
or not came into it, but ended that second half.

Speaker 4 (01:57:27):
It's been strong here. If you're the boycevil defense, I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
Third and seven back to pass. That one tipped at
the line and it will be incomplete as that throw
from Crosco I just was, they said Kirshner on the
PA announcement. But either way, it brings up a big
fourth down and stops the clock five thirty four left
to play.

Speaker 4 (01:57:49):
Back to back drives here.

Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
This boysful team has forced a fourth down conversion here
and again this is a meat and big pick up
here as needed by pepin Alma.

Speaker 2 (01:58:00):
Fourth and seven from the forty four yard line, prosca
under center, two backs in the backfield. He's back to pass,
throwing deep down the field. That ball, Oh it hit
him in the helmet incomplete Cool it was Liam Mintovin
wanted that one hit him in the back of the head.

(01:58:22):
Just couldn't get the hands up. Wow, it feels bad
because that was a huge opportunity for pepin Alma to
try and come back. But that's a play that you're
gonna see on a blooper film.

Speaker 3 (01:58:33):
That's the chance that had a chance to even go
yard too. That he had much more yard and head
of you. He's a fast guy too. He had burned
through that entire defense. No one was that back there.

Speaker 2 (01:58:43):
Green grass ahead of him. But just you know, almost
the side of the head, the back of the helmet.

Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
You almost wonder if he got lost in the lights
while it was up there. But still you gotta come
down with.

Speaker 2 (01:58:53):
That first and ten from the forty four for Boysville.
Will expect them to keep this on the ground as
they pitch it left to Helen Drung. Helen Drung runs
over Hi Man and gets a gain of a couple.
It'll be second down, balled about the forty two yard line,
maybe the forty three.

Speaker 3 (01:59:09):
If you can get this drive to another touchdown here,
you can potentially put this game away. But as it
goes right now, you got to still keep it moving,
especially with how this defense has been playing you, I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:59:20):
You've got to give credit to where it's due. The
Eagles have not been going down.

Speaker 3 (01:59:23):
They went down twenty eight to three, and they still
went back and kept fighting even though it looks really
bad on the scoreboard.

Speaker 4 (01:59:31):
For all good chunk.

Speaker 2 (01:59:33):
See, it will be second to nine from the forty
three here as boys will comes to the line, they'll
call a time out for forty eight left to play
and we'll step aside. Here on your home for high
school football.

Speaker 1 (01:59:44):

Speaker 2 (02:00:24):
Four forty two left to play Boyceville with a twenty
eight to nine lead, and they are trying to put
this one away. Noah Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside you
on Moose Country one o six point seven and iHeartRadio, and.

Speaker 3 (02:00:36):
The Cochrane Fountain City and Glenwood City game has just
finished to actually finalize twenty seven to nothing to Cochrane
Fountain City beat Glenwood City and they advance onto the
semis and boys Will trying to do that here with
four forty eight to.

Speaker 2 (02:00:48):
Go, boys Will comes to the line of scrooage second
and nine from the forty three yard line. It's Rome
Hills under center. Two backs in the backfield. Once again,
it goes to Helen Drugs. Actually it's a reverse back
to Helen Drop. Is that a double reverse or what?
Either way, it's a yard on the carry. But Helen
Drung looks like he swapped that ball with I think

(02:01:09):
that was Leslie.

Speaker 4 (02:01:10):
Yeah, I was.

Speaker 2 (02:01:11):
I handed it to Leslie and Leslie handed it right
back in a split second.

Speaker 4 (02:01:16):
The unfortunate part is that it didn't get them. It
didn't really gain them a yard. Oh wait, now they're
they're moving.

Speaker 3 (02:01:21):
They've been moving this marker around a good bit now
and they haven't really been steady with it. They had
it back behind the line. Now it's third and ten.
It was third and eleven, now is third and ten.

Speaker 2 (02:01:31):
We'll call it third and ten. It's third and something.
Third and long, I think is what they'd tell you
to call it in broadcasters school, as it will be
Rome Hilled under center, two backs in the backfield, and
it's Tucker Lindstrom on the carry. Lindstrom just falls forward
for a gain of a couple makes it fourth and
long here inside of four minutes left here for Boysville,

(02:01:54):
and they're content to try and take off as much
clock as they can.

Speaker 3 (02:01:58):
Yeah, and especially with only three and it's in really
forty counting now, it is just not a lot of
time for pepen Alma to get back into this game.
Down twenty eight to nine, that's a nineteen point game.
And even if you did get two touchdowns, you're still
down a whole other touchdown.

Speaker 4 (02:02:15):
You're not down a field goal anymore.

Speaker 3 (02:02:18):
It's missed opportunities have really haunted this Eagles team.

Speaker 2 (02:02:23):
A couple of bounces go the other way, and this
is a very different game. As Rome Hill back to punt, No,
he's gonna run it. He is taken down by three
Eagles well behind the line of scrimmage. And I'm not
sure that was a designed fake punt. I think the
coverage just got there and rome Hill decided to try
and make something out of nothing, but he's taken down

(02:02:44):
right at the midfield stripe, and so three twelve left
to play, Peppenala will get one more shot.

Speaker 4 (02:02:49):
He'd be exactly right about that.

Speaker 3 (02:02:50):
Two defenders came screaming off the edges unblocked, and I
mean it was almost similar to how the pepin Alma
block happened with Boyceville, except this time no punt lock,
but still got Carson rome Hill in the backfield.

Speaker 2 (02:03:04):
First and ten right at midfield here for Peppin Alma
as Kroska is under center. Two backs in the backfield
here and uh there right away where some of the
Bulldogs defense defenders excuse me, berg is still able to
get a game of about five as that'll think it
second and five here inside of three minutes left to play.

Speaker 3 (02:03:27):
Yeah, and I mean, just so far, so so far,
so so good for this boysfull team just can't give
up anything massive through the air on the ground.

Speaker 2 (02:03:35):
Two forty seven left to play here, as Peppinoalma comes
to the line on second and five, they handed off
to Berg's excuse me, Bergmann again as was able to
get the first down up across the forty to about
the thirty nine and that will be another Peppinolmo first
down here. Two thirty seven left to play.

Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
And only one sime out left for this Eagles team.
So even if they can get a score here, they
only have one more opportunity to stop the clock.

Speaker 2 (02:04:02):
I'm sure it's still mathematically possible is Bergman gets to
carry again on first down, looks like it's a gain
of about five that time before he stopped at about
the thirty five.

Speaker 3 (02:04:13):
Yard life, especially with the way they've been moving this
football with the run. With the run, I mean, everything's
still possible on the table for this Eagles team. It
just depends on the timing of it all.

Speaker 2 (02:04:23):
Second and four here and the ball is at I
think they're going to call that about the thirty eight
yard line here is you're just inside two minutes left
to go, and it's a handoff to Bergman again and
Bergman maybe back to the line running to his left,
brings up third and four minute fifty left.

Speaker 3 (02:04:42):
Needed that one to stop the bleed here. But now
with under two minutes left to go here, it's looking
a little bit close. It's looking a little bit closer
for Boyceville getting to that semi finals to take on
Cochrane Fountain City.

Speaker 2 (02:04:54):
Third and five once again, Boyceville leading pepin Alla by
a score of twenty eight to nine. It's the Bulldogs
just ninety seconds away from staying undefeated, as it's they've
passed there and it will not be any well. The
ball won't even be thrown as Crossco was attacked by
a couple of Bulldogs in the backfield. He is sacked

(02:05:17):
and that will bring up fourth and now eleven after
that big loss, I know.

Speaker 4 (02:05:21):
That time out here for Concror or not Cockran foundin city.

Speaker 3 (02:05:24):
Excuse me, pepin Alma, I should say, looking ahead of way,
a bit too far ahead.

Speaker 2 (02:05:31):
Pep is taking their final time out here a minute
thirteen left. We'll keep it here just to make sure.
But we've got that final score for that game.

Speaker 4 (02:05:41):
Right, Yeah, it was twenty seven to nothing.

Speaker 3 (02:05:43):
Cochran Fountain City ended up beating Glenwood City, and Glenwood
City a tough team, especially on the offense, but just
couldn't muster up anything against that Cochran Fountain City defense.
It's going to be interesting to see how this boysfull
team comes out against them. But either way, they have
a chance here to make They are about to make
it to the semi finals for their second time in

(02:06:03):
program history.

Speaker 2 (02:06:05):
Barring nineteen points in seventy three seconds.

Speaker 4 (02:06:08):
If that can happen, I will eat a hat.

Speaker 2 (02:06:13):
You brought two of them.

Speaker 4 (02:06:14):
I brought two of them. I about three. Actually, yeah,
I get to pick my I get to pick and choose.

Speaker 2 (02:06:20):
Which one who says we're not fested? Four and ten
from the forty here for peppin Almo. This looks like
it'll be all she wrote as uh, it will be
crossca under center, two backs in the backfield once again
for the Eagles. As Cross go back to pass in trouble,
he's taken down once again. Second straight sack to that

(02:06:41):
Boyceville defense, and that will be enough for Boyceville to
stamp their ticket here to level three of the WYA
twenty twenty five football Tournament here in Division seven. As now,
just sixty eight seconds left and a couple of kneel
downs will send Boyceville well on their way here in

(02:07:01):
this one.

Speaker 4 (02:07:02):
And you got to give credit to them.

Speaker 3 (02:07:03):
They absolutely did what they could out there today, and
especially getting that big lead in that second.

Speaker 4 (02:07:09):
It didn't start out very pretty for them.

Speaker 3 (02:07:11):
In fact, it started out very ugly for both teams
to start off three to nothing lead for pep and
Alma start this game off, and now moving on with
that second half surge or second quarter surge, and then
the third quarter surge after that.

Speaker 2 (02:07:26):
Rome Hild takes the knee. Now just one more will
do it as well. This Boyceville team undefeated all season long.
We've had the privilege of watching them quite a few
times here throughout our coverage of the dun Saint Croix Conference,
especially down the stretch. It feels like we've been here
every week, and here in the conference, you know, in

(02:07:48):
a conference full of great towns, I don't know where
I'd rather be here than Boysville, Wisconsin. Right right, Rome
hil takes the knee, and that will do it there
on second down, and as the clock's final seconds tick
away here it is twenty eight to nine Boyceville on
top of Pepin Alma here, and that should be it is.

(02:08:11):
Some of the players exchange handshakes and hugs. Great sportsmanship
here between these young men, and a great performance for
both of these teams. But the Boyceville Bulldogs with a
twenty eight to nine win over the Pep and All Night.

Speaker 3 (02:08:27):
Eagles just an absolute all around win for this Boys
Belt team.

Speaker 4 (02:08:32):
Got it done on offense, defense.

Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
You gotta get a lot of great to that special
teams because they were very important when it comes to
getting that fourteen to three lead.

Speaker 2 (02:08:41):
Those two logged punks in that first quarter really went
a long way here to putting Pep and Alma away,
and Boyceville really just making sure that they've done what
they've done all season put away their opponents as they
remain undefeated. Now heading to Level three and getting ready

(02:09:02):
to take on Cochrane Fountain City.

Speaker 3 (02:09:05):
Yes, and Cochrane Fountain City, they are no team to
turn your nose to, even though they only won by one.
But Pepen Almas are only one by one against Pep
and Alma. This team obviously showed that grit tonight and
showed that eve A couple of balls bounced a couple
of different ways. If a couple of block punts didn't happen,
who knows. Maybe they're the ones keeping it a lot

(02:09:26):
closer than it is. But as of right now, twenty
eight to nine, you cannot you can't say that this wasn't.

Speaker 4 (02:09:33):
A complete game. Especially with how they played.

Speaker 3 (02:09:35):
It, with how the mistakes that they had, they were
able to overcome the issues, the turnovers.

Speaker 4 (02:09:41):
They just really put it all together, especially in that
second quarter.

Speaker 3 (02:09:44):
That second quarter is going to be looked at in
the film room with some very happy faces.

Speaker 2 (02:09:49):

Welcome into the post game show, and well if you're

undefeated Bulldogs stay undefeated and they will move on to
Level three of the WYA Division seven High School Football
Playoffs here in Wisconsin as they've taken care of business
tonight with a twenty eight to nine victory over the
Peppinolway Eagles. My name's Noah Schwartz, that's Dan Zones, and

(02:12:38):
we will be wrapping this one up for you right
here on the postgame show. Dan take us through your
thoughts on this one. What went right for Bulls for boys, fil.

Speaker 3 (02:12:47):
I mean boys, Fildy. They didn't come out firing right away.
It took them a second to get into it. They
were down actually to start off, which is not something
we're used to saying. Actually, in fact, they haven't late
still haven't allowed more than twelve points in a game,
fun fact, this being the second most with only nine.

Speaker 4 (02:13:04):
But that's the thing.

Speaker 3 (02:13:06):
They came out in the second quarter and played great defense,
excellent defense, got a turnover on special teams with that
block punt, couple of block punts. Finally cap lies on
one with Carson Romhild candidate off to Lindstrom right up
the middle for a touchdown. After Carson Romhild the series
before got a massive touchdown on a twenty five plus
yard run.

Speaker 4 (02:13:26):
Good job by him there.

Speaker 3 (02:13:28):
But then after that they had a chance, did Pep
and Alma to get a score right before the half,
either being a field goal to cut it down to
eighth or even a touchdown they I.

Speaker 4 (02:13:41):
In my opinion, he should.

Speaker 3 (02:13:43):
It's a field goal situation there, especially when you're still
backed up two yards and you do have a good
run team. But you're against one of the better run
defense teams out there, so kicking that field goal felt
like the right move to me. But obviously in hindsight,
it's you want to get as much points as possible
against a defense.

Speaker 2 (02:13:59):
Like this, and especially you know what, it was a
close game at that point. You had an opportunity to
make it a one score game and boy hold up
the ball too, Yeah, and you know that you're giving
up the ball heading into that third quarter. Taking the
points was really it's easy for us to sit up
here in this nice space heated booth up here and

(02:14:22):
say that, oh, yeah, you know you should have done
this right, you're pepping on up.

Speaker 4 (02:14:27):
But when you're on the field and it's a game
time situation.

Speaker 3 (02:14:30):
Taking your points, right, yeah, you're taking the points, you're
and you want to make a statement, especially against a
team like Boys Bawl going into the half with an
extra touchdown on the board making it fourteen to ten.

Speaker 4 (02:14:40):
I mean, that's just that's what you want. That's exactly
what you want.

Speaker 3 (02:14:43):
And even though Boysful came out of the half and
scored immediately, not well not immediate immediately, they hadn't really win.

Speaker 2 (02:14:50):
To drive off of the clock before they did. They
really they were methodical on that opening drive of the
third quite that that was really the turning point of
this game. That where Boyceville almost changed gears and just
we were able.

Speaker 3 (02:15:03):
To, you know, felt like the football team we've been
kind of watching through most of the season after such
a sluggish start to that first half.

Speaker 4 (02:15:09):
But wow, I mean, that's kind the kind of.

Speaker 3 (02:15:14):
Ferocity that you need to have as a team like that,
whether you're up or down, you need to keep that
foot on the gas pedal. And they could have easily
just let up and said, Okay, we're gonna play conservative
ball here, which they did at the end of the
fourth quarter, which is where he wanted. But they could
have easily said, okay, we're up twenty eight to three
right now, we can go conservative. We can do dink

(02:15:34):
and dunk passes, we can do a little bit of
running up the middle and all that.

Speaker 2 (02:15:38):
But no, they did.

Speaker 3 (02:15:39):
Everything in their power. And Carson rome Hill I big
credit to him. He took some major hits in this game.
He's definitely gonna need some ice after this one for
a couple of those, but he has absolutely led this
team so far and so forth putting his body out
there on the line, really trying to just manage this
team and really trying to put that physicality out there

(02:16:02):
on display. Is this voiceful team, and I mean just
all over the board. You gotta say this has been
an all round win for them, and now they have
an interesting one against Cochran Fountain City, who only beat
this Pep and Alma team by one.

Speaker 4 (02:16:15):
But that's the thing too, you can't look at it
too closely. That was in the regular season. Playoffs is
a whole other beast.

Speaker 2 (02:16:21):
There's nothing like playoff football as we get into this one,
and we are looking forward to I think I'm right
and saying I haven't heard anything to the contrary from
the Highers up, so I think I'm right in saying
that we will have that game for you next week,
Dan and I will right here on Moose Country one
O six point seven FM, Moose one O six dot
com and iHeartRadio next Friday night at seven. That's November seventh. Already,

(02:16:46):
we're wow getting laid into this year.

Speaker 3 (02:16:48):
I blink and you'll miss it because this season has
gone by so quickly, so many fun moments for all
these teams here in the Dun Saint Croix, but especially
falling along with Boyceville.

Speaker 4 (02:16:58):
It's been a fun one so.

Speaker 2 (02:16:58):
Far, certainly has. We've got one final score to get
you from the out of town scoreboard once again, our
esteemed friend and colleague, Pete Canuts and the voice of
the Regis Ramblers, letting us know that Regis came back
from a twenty two to fifteen halftime deficit to win
twenty three to twenty two over Fall Creek. Wow final score.

(02:17:20):
That one must have been a heck of a second half,
and we're grateful that Pete got to see that and
got to bring that one to so many of you.
So Regis the Ramblers moving on in their own division
as here. The Boyceville Bulldogs will move on to play
Cochrane Fountain City next week here in Level three DAN.

(02:17:41):
Any final thoughts before we wrap this one up.

Speaker 3 (02:17:44):
No, there's just been some so many fun games. Whether
it's been the playoffs regular season doesn't really matter. It's
just been a great time calling games for the entire
Chipwell Valley and beyond in surrounding areas as well, and
especially being like right there in the action to watch
these playoff games.

Speaker 4 (02:18:01):
It's been a fun one so far, and.

Speaker 3 (02:18:03):
Especially it's gonna be interesting to see how Regis does
against their next opponent coming up here.

Speaker 4 (02:18:08):
But for Boyceville, man, they just had a complete all
round win.

Speaker 2 (02:18:12):
More of the same for the Bulldogs. It's an effective
team and they will look to continue that next week
as they will be on the road against the one
seed Cochrane Fountain City. But meanwhile, that's all the damage
that we can do here tonight. For the incomparable Dan
Price back in studio producing and making us sound good,
and for my esteemed friend and colleague Dan Zounds. To
my right, my name is Noah Schwartz, saying good night everybody.

(02:18:35):
Once again, a big win for Boyceville. We'll see you
next week. So long,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
