Got your fall. Now it's timeto react to La Clippers basketball. This
is a playoff edition of Clippers Talk, Reaction and Analysis hosted by Adam Osley.
You know he's feeling good. Takethe show with you anywhere you are
and baby, get the podcast.I mean, iHeart radio while and now
your host. He makes everything happen. Adam Ausley is its real life?

(00:28):
Yeah, this is real life aClipper Nation. You're going to the Western
Conference Finals for the first time andthis franchise is fifty one year history.
After the Clippers come back down twentyfive in the third quarter, they win
Game six here at Staples Center bya final score one thirty one to one

(00:48):
nineteen. From Staples Center Live,I'm Adam Oslin. Welcome into Clippers Talk.
Eight seven seven five two zero elevenfifty eight seven seven five two zero
eleven fifty. Coming up on theshow, we'll have postgame audio from head
coach Chilu and Paul George and ReggieJackson and the man of the hour,

(01:11):
Terrence Man, who went for ateam high thirty nine points and had twenty
points in the third quarter to spearheadthis unbelievable improbable comeback unless you'd been watching
this team all season long. Thisis just how this Clippers team is built.
This is what they do. Whenthe Chips are down, they find

(01:36):
a way. They were down seventyfive to fifty at the beginning of the
third quarter and they come back andare down just three heading into the fourth.
It was an unbelievable, fast andfurious comeback. Reggie Jackson had fourteen
points in the third quarter. ClipperNation showed up big here at Staples Center

(01:57):
tonight for the first time since Marcheighth of twenty twenty. This place was
that full capacity, and it's theloudest I've ever heard it, and I've
been to a few games here before. Clipper Nation, give yourself an applause,
a pat on the back, anotherapplause. After giving an applause to
Paul George, I'm standing ovation forhim and Reggie Jackson at the end of

(02:22):
this one. What a victory.Dare I say the biggest Enfranchise history?
How can you say it's not?I guess of the Western Conference Finals first
time ever, and they did soin dramatic fashion. And the only way
the Clippers know how the comeback clips. You can't kill them. You can't
take this team out. You can'tbury them with three pointers. Even though

(02:45):
the Utah Jazz tried, they hittwenty one in this game, and the
Clippers still found away in the secondhalf. They ended up going fourteen of
nineteen themselves from three from distance.Patrick Beverley in the fourth quarter three huge
three pointers. He hadn't hit threethree pointers this entire playoff run. Tearance

(03:08):
Man was out of the rotation thefirst two games of this series. The
Clippers went fourth straight. It's notjust history for them in this franchise,
though, the first team ever nowto come back down oh two in multiple
rounds in a playoff run. It'snever happened before. And I'm standing up

(03:30):
a Staples Center. I got toomuch energy. Who's gonna sleep tonight?
I almost kiss Noah Eagle earlier,or we might do it now? Okay,
Just cool, cool guy, BroHug, We're good. Noah Eagle,
your voice of the Clippers, killingit all season long as always.
Jake Warners here, our head engineer. We got Zacho quality back in Burbank.

(03:50):
T taking your phone calls eight sevenseven five two zero eleven. Fifty
eight seven seven five two zero eleven, fifty is the phone number. The
Clippers come back down twenty five.We just had seen them come back down
thirty one two years ago at OracleArena before they closed it out. The

(04:12):
Clippers really shut it down. Thatteam was built for comebacks. They were
so resilient, and they lost someof that somehow. Last year teams were
coming back on them. But thisseason, and I said it on Twitter
when they came back down twenty twoagainst the Atlanta Hawks, when Luke Kennard

(04:33):
and Terrence Man stepped up in thatgame and then the starters closed it out,
I said, this Clippers team isjust different. They came back on
Miami down eighteen without Kauai, withoutPaul George. They have been built for
this. They have been prepared forthese moments of adversity, and they just

(04:55):
continue to overcome these difficult hurdles overand over again. They find themselves when
they're down double digits. That's justwho they are. It's their identity.
The resilient nature from this Clippers bunchunmatched and you saw it. This was
peak twenty twenty twenty twenty one LAClippers basketball tonight here at Staples Center to

(05:15):
pull off a twenty five point comebackwhere they end up winning one thirty one
to one nineteen over the Utah Jazzin game six. They win four straight.
Just think back to where you wereand how you were feeling about this
ball club down zero two in thefirst rounds of the Dallas Mavericks, and
then think about how they were downnineteen early in Game three of that series,

(05:40):
and yet they get to this pointwhere they're headed to the Western Conference
Finals for the first time in thehistory of this franchise. Taken on the
Phoenix Suns. Game one is Sunday, But just think about that. They
had to win multiple games with theirback against the wall. They basically had
four different elements nation games. Theyhad to win down two OHO, can't

(06:01):
go down three zero, down threetwo. They had to win game seven.
Then they were down two oh againstthis Utah Jazz team in the second
round. Here they had to wingame three. They've made it four in
a row, and they did soagainst a great effort from the Utah Jazz.
We're talking about the number one seed. We're talking about the team with

(06:24):
the best record in the NBA.Utah has been this good. They have
put up forty three points, orforty three three pointers per game all season
long, they put up forty fourtonight, hit twenty one of them,
and the Clippers were even better. After starting six of twenty in the first
half, the Clippers go fourteen ofnineteen in the second half here at Staples

(06:48):
Center in front of a packed housefrom distance. And how about Paul George,
all the scrutiny, all the undeservedcriticism that has come down on him
over the last year, he hasgone through the fire. That's how he
put it back on who this wasBack in December early January, there was

(07:12):
a game in Phoenix, speaking ofthe Suns. Paul George would hit Nicholas
Batoum in the corner for a threepointer and oh yeah, big daddy,
Nicholas Batoum would hit four three pointersin this one. Yeh, multiple blocks,
let's count him three. He hada huge steal and throw down on
Joe Ingalls. But in that gameback in Phoenix, then Paul George,

(07:34):
I think had something like thirty eightpoints, was doing everything, but was
hearing the chirping from the opposition, maybe same playoff pe taunting him, going
after him. And it's been likethat all season long, and he has
persevered. He is pushed through itto get to this point where first they

(07:56):
win Game five due to his thirtyseven point sixteen board outing on the road
in Utah, a plays they hadone in four years. And then tonight
he has twenty eight points, Hehas nine boards, seven assists, and
he had ten of his twenty eightand the fourth quarter huge shots, a
huge three pointer, a couple toughstep backs. Paul George has given them

(08:24):
everything they asked for when he camehere. You know how many calls I
used to get. Are people talkingabout it? I'm not so sure they
should have traded SGA in those picks. How are you feeling about it now?
For having Paul George and the wayhe has played these last two games
without Kawhi Leonard. Let's put thisin perspective. They just won two games
against the number one seed in theWestern Conference, with the team with the

(08:46):
best record overall, and they didso without their best player. Without Kauai,
who was no eagle point out wasdoing historic things for this team offensively.
He was carrying them at times throughoutthe playoffs. The forty five he
had in Game six in Dallas thatentire series. He shot over sixty percent
from the field. He put upShack numbers as a shooting guard, averaging

(09:13):
thirty points on over sixty percent shootingfor an entire playoff series. And nobody
had done that since since Shack didback in the year two thousand in the
NBA Finals. That's what Kauhi wasdoing. The Clippers get off to him
two. We'll start. Everybody startsto doubt them. They flip the switch,
and they start playing their best basketball. When they face adversity, they

(09:33):
just find a way. But tonightto do it in front of this crowd,
in front of Clipper Nation, thiswas special. The Clippers are going
to the Western Conference Finals for thefirst time in franchise history. They win
one thirty one to one nineteen overthe Utah Jazz. A week going NonStop

(09:54):
tonight. Flip flip see zachocald heknows what's up. I say, flip
the switch. She plays a songcoming up next. We'll get to your
phone calls eight seven seven five twozero eleven fifty eight seven seven five two
zero eleven fifty. I'm standing upat Staples Center as these Clippers stood strong

(10:16):
in the face of a twenty fivepoint deficit. They come back to win,
and they're going on to the WesternConference Finals for the first time.
More Clippers stock next right here onthe Patriot A I'm eleven fifty, which
I'm at the Clippers, the LAClippers and the Utah Jazz. You're listening

(10:39):
to playoff basketball on the LA Clippersofficial home. George right, Wayne cross
Over telling right ally, George ofthe ram try to kick it out?
Does extra meet Man nears night corner, take the time, take the three
head hits, Terence man on corgetonce again. Thirty nine for free Man
and the Clippers League one sixteen toone oh six. You know, I'd

(11:03):
like to call Noah Eagle the futureGoade, but you know, after we
saw from Terence Manson night, Imean maybe the little hashtag future goad for
him too, is he has twentypoints in the third quarter. He leads
the Clippers with thirty nine to matchDonovan Mitchell's thirty nine. The Clippers come
back down twenty five in the thirdquarter, not the first quarter, not

(11:24):
the second quarter. With about twentythree minutes left in the game, they
were down twenty five here at StaplesCenter in Game six, they come back
to win, and they're moving onto take on the Phoenix Suns in the
Western Conference Finals. Pinch yourself,Clipper Nation, you made it there.
The job is not done. Thisteam knows that. If you heard from

(11:46):
head coach Toronto lou or Kawhi Leonardrecently, they said they don't care about
just making the Western Conference Finals. They're trying to win the whole thing.
And with performances like this tonight,he starts to think the team is so
gretty, they're so gutty. Dependingon the severity of the injury with Kawhi
Leonard, I'm sorry we don't havean update for you at this time,

(12:09):
but this team has those championship ingredients. They have some of that DNA.
You can see it with the waythey show that resolve whenever they're down,
that fight, those counterpunches. TheClippers come back down twenty five, they
win Game six. They are movingon for the first time so the Western

(12:30):
Conference Finals. Welcome back in theClippers stock. I'm out of Maslin eight
seven seven five two zero eleven fiftyeight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty.
I hear the phone lines are packed. All right, let's go to
Sean and Inglewood. Sean, popit off for us, a friend,

(12:50):
thank you for taking these first.I just want to play first of all,
dame time first Sunday three thirty six, big time. Thank you,
Sean. Let me blare it outnow on this fifty thousand foot flamethrow or
whatever they say about the radio station. Tip time for game one between the

(13:11):
Clippers and Phoenix Suns is twelve thirtySunday. All right, Sean, Okay,
Now I called before the series startedand I say it clipses and sick.
And when I went down, Idoubled down on it, and here
we are, clips is in six. We did it, man. The
next thing I wanted you to sayto you because I was watching the game.

(13:33):
I started to come to the gametonight, but I watched the game
at home tonight, and I flipchannels at the commercial and guess what movie
was on HBO? Give you onegame? He got games? Oh?
I thought you were going to sayField of Dreams for Terrence Mann. No,

(13:54):
the Gladiators. So I need youto say it with me at the
count of three, Adam, areyou ready? Let's go one? Two?
Three? Are you not hensertained?Look? There's some lag between us.
We're going to work this out duringthe break. I'm sure, me
and Sean and Englewood. Sean, that's what I brought you on first.
For a reason. You did callit. You said Clippers and six.
I think Jake Warner did as wellhere at Staples Center said I'm not moving

(14:16):
my equipment. I know this team'scoming back. Was not concerned. Sean.
Thank you for the phone call.Let's try to get everyone in tonight.
Bill and Irvine a villain Irvine,Thank you, Zach Villain Irvine,
you're on Clipper Stalk after they winGame six to advance the Western Conference Finals

(14:39):
for the first time ever. Bill, how are you pretty good? Thanks
for the tagular call. It's notablethat three teams in their infancy back in
the seventy seventy one season, whichwould change the league to four divisions for
the first time. And there wasPortland who won. You know was that
gret had somebody remarked we talked aboutthe other night. Then there was the

(15:01):
Calves. We finally got it done. And now you're Buffalo brave as La
Clippers are next. Okay, youare the historian here, you are a
man with a lot of information.Yeah, and I think it's really important
that you know, they get itdone. You know they're Undermann right now,

(15:24):
but who knows what the next serieswill bring with the health reports.
They can just relax now and goto game one and give it what they've
got. Everything's every two days fromnow. And it looks like except for
perhaps after game one. But Ithink it's a very nice notable Uh you
know, oddity that that's how thathappened with this franchise. But it was

(15:46):
worth the weight. Bill, thankyou for the phone call. Was worth
the weight. No what Eagles saidit good things come to those who wait.
Nothing good comes easy. Kawhi Leonardssaid that recently, we're hoping for
the best with that right knee injury. Let's go to Jeremy in La.
Jeremy, give me that energy.Come on, I'm at Staples Center.

(16:07):
I'm standing up and walking around likea luasic. What's up. I think
I'm doing the exact same thing athim, because this has been one of
the most amazing nights of my life. To two things before I get off
the phone, I don't want tohold up the line. Number one,
it's been thirty years for me asa Clipper fan, Section nine row A,
seats one, two and three. It's where me and my parents sat

(16:30):
for some of the worst Clipper basketballyou could ever imagine. That sports Relina
and tonight just feels like the weightof the world is off my shoulders.
I just want to say, Clipperdog pound, we love you, Keep
calling in, keep fighting. Wegot on to the Western Conference finals,
y'all. Now number two second pointthe regular season means something, and I

(16:55):
want to point out something. Thethird game we played against Utah, I
remember that fourth quarter very well.We did the exact same thing we did
in that fourth quarter that third gameagainst these guys. Tonight brought out Rudy
Gobert. Guys trying to get amatchup can't get the matchup swing it.
Keep going to the basket, touchthe paint, kick it out, and

(17:18):
there's nothing they can do about it. And this is a game plan that
we're gonna have to use against theSuns, because I remember the third game
we played, or the second gamewe played against them at Staples. Paul
George goes off because we keep bringingout Aiden. Aiden starts to guard George,
and then the bass starts moving aroundand there's nothing they could do about
it. We can win this series. This is not done. These guys

(17:44):
are hurt all over the NBA.Just hold tight, let's go. Adam
My Levey, You's been great. No Eagle has been great. Clipper Nation.
Where where Jeremy in Los Angeles?Jeremy, you just reminded me of
something. I think the man whodeserves the most credit for this it starts

(18:08):
with Steve Balmer and the direction hehas taken this franchise since twenty fourteen.
I've said this before, but peoplecomparing the two teams in LA, while
the Clippers were at a disadvantage allthese years because of ownership, what did
they always say? Ownership is thebest advantage in sports, and now the

(18:30):
Clippers have it. But it's onlybeen seven years and look at all the
changes, and Steve Balmber had tomake a tough decision. And we wish
Doc Rivers well. I hope theyend up meeting the Clippers in the NBA
Finals the Philadelphia seventy six ers.But the tough decision was that mutual parting

(18:52):
of ways with Doc Rivers, andI think to some degree he is a
part of this upset. The foundationas well. I don't know if Kauai
and Paul George come here without DocRivers. But what head Coach Toronto lu
has done this season is really unlockedthe full potential of this lineup because the

(19:14):
versatility on this team is really unmatched. And you're talking about the mismatches and
going small and pulling Rudy Gobert outand they'll try the same thing with DeAndre
Aden. That is the mastermind ofcoach lou. That's what he does.
He finds the flaws and weaknesses inthe opposition and he exploits them over and
over again and tries to make theweakest link beat them. And he's done

(19:40):
it to perfection down two Oho.Remember when he said he wasn't concerned and
a lot of people were like, what this is an outreach? A lot
of people to start apologizing tonight tohead coach tlu Let the apology be as
loud as the disrespect was, becausethis man never panicked, not once.

(20:00):
And as the series both of themhave gone on, he's tightened the screws
on teams, he's tightened his rotations. He keeps finding more and more of
what works. And you mentioned thefourth quarter tonight he found that. Yes,
you're right. In that third gameagainst the Utah Jazz. It was
the only one the Clippers won againstthem in the regular season, and they
went small late. They did itagainst tonight. But head coach Tlu deserves

(20:25):
a ton of credit for this turnaroundin his first year with the Clippers.
You think it's a fluke, Youthink it's by happenstance that they get to
the Western Conference finals. Finally,No, no, no, no,
no. Coach Lou has been brilliant. Let's go to Caleb in Ohio.
Kayleb, what's up? And I'vebeen a Clipper saying for twenty six years.

(20:47):
I tried after the game was over, I listened to it on the
radio. But it's a dream cometrue. And I wouldn't give you my
prediction that happened five years ago withTylu. He's gonna take and he's gonna
bite the Curs like he did withthe Cavaliers, and they're gonna win a
championship this year. Caleb, thankyou for the phone call. So far,

(21:08):
you're pretty prophetic. Prognostication so faris on track. That's the thing.
He was down three games to one. He stays calm. This team
stays poised. They take on theidentity of their head coach. Paul George
just said this after Game five. He's so calm, cool and collected and

(21:30):
even Keel and the rest of theteam doesn't panic either. Out here down
twenty five tonight in game six, doesn't matter. They find a way.
They refuse to lose. I don'tcare if they're sports cliches that Ben Maller
would mock. I don't think hewould because he's a Clippers fan as well.
They ring true with this team. This is what they do. Jose

(21:52):
and south Gates set it off.Oh this is not setting it off.
Adam, twenty five year Clipper.I've never puss set It's like shapos and
just like it pierced my heart tohear over Rain being yelled by eighteen thousand

(22:18):
and seven. You talk if Piercenot hard Cliffer Nation staying up today because
you we're gonna do the baby PoeticJustice ninety nine. Wait, first of
all, wait, let me callmyself down. First of all, thank
you Zach, thank you Jake, thank you Adam, thank you, no
Ego, and thank you. RalphLawler ninety nine Maggy nine first two,

(22:40):
one hundred wins. Who scores thatbasket? Paul George could do baby Adam
said, say four, I waslike Dame who got only one and the
same man, I'm gonna I'm gonnacut myself off before you cut me off.
Let me see wise words. I'llsay thank you for the phone call.

(23:03):
Great as always, and they weredown twenty five. Don't show them
that point that they came back downfrom down from the depths here at Staples
Center. They just clawed their wayback in without the claw, without Kawhi
Leonard. I don't know which gameis more remarkable in these last two game

(23:23):
five on the road where they hadone in four years, and the Utah
Jazz hit seventeen three pointers in thefirst half and the Clippers were still right
there, just down five to winthat one, or to come back down
twenty five here tonight at Staples Center. I'm leaning this way because of what
it meant, because they're moving onnow to the Western Conference Finals for the

(23:47):
first time, and because they doneit. They did it in front of
Clipper Nation and no kids, yourself. I don't know if they're coming back
down twenty five on the road. The fans here tonight we're on tilt for
big hyped or other millennial slaying thatI'm not that familiar with. They were

(24:12):
on fire for this team. Youhelped drive them back. Reggie Jackson was
calling for more. Patrick Beverley wantedto hear more. They just fed off
the energy from Clipper Nation tonight andnow they're moving on to take on the
Phoenix Suns and the Western Conference Finals. Game one is in Phoenix, Tip

(24:33):
times at twelve thirty on Sunday.More Clipper Stock coming up next. We'll
get back to your phone calls.Eight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty.
Eight seven seven five two zero elevenfifty is the phone number from Staples

Lennard, I'm your official home ofLA Clippers basketball. George Washers towards the
ball, but Jackson keeps him drivingright down the right alley. Jackson to
the ramps, high off the window. Reggie Jackson over the top of Gobar,
Defensive Player of the who Reggie Jacksonhas teamed him again twenty seven from

(25:23):
mister Tune and the Clippers lead fivefifteen. The defensive player of the Years
had a rough time the past coupleof games. The Clippers went right at
him. Reggie Jackson was hunting himin the fourth quarter, looking to put
a body on. Rudy Gobert didit multiple times with amazing acrobatic layoffs here

(25:47):
at Staples Center. And the Clipperscome back down twenty five in Game six
to make it four straight victories inthis series, and they are moving on
for the first time in franchise historyto the Western Conference Finals. Welcome back
into Clippers talk. I'm atam Moslinto eight seven seven five two zero eleven

(26:11):
Adam a on Twitter. I toldyou these Clippers were different. They're just
built different. I'm sorry it hasto be said. They're winning games they
would have lost last season. They'redoing things that were done to them.
It was the Denver Nuggets who cameback on them down nineteen sixteen, down

(26:33):
twelve and three straight games after beingup three games to one in that second
round series. Last year. Nowit's the Clippers coming back down twenty five,
coming back down nineteen against the DallasMavericks, coming back down O two
twice. Nobody's done that before, not one team, not even the Clutch
City Houston Rockets from ninety five, who won five different must win ELM Nation

(27:00):
games. These Clippers just keep findingways to win, and they're gonna have
to do the same now against thePhoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals,
with Game one on Sunday. Tiptime is at twelve thirty pm. This
is Clipper stock. Let's get toOh Sexy Rexy in La, Rex in

(27:21):
La. What's up? You're on? Clippers stop without of Boslin. Oh.
This was a great game, oneof the I guess, one of
the great games in the history ofClippers basketball. I mean I was listening
to it on the radio while Iwas driving. At first, I was
I wasn't sure when they were downtwenty five, I wasn't sure. But

(27:41):
they just found a way to comeback. Rex. It's what's It's what
they have done all season long. This is what this Clippers team does.
It's unbelievable. No one and Iwere sitting here at halftime They're down twenty
two, and I'm like, okay, law of averages starts to go in
their favor, even though it reallydidn't. Utah went nine of twenty five

(28:03):
from three. In the second half, they did cool off, but the
Clippers caught fire from distance. Theywent fourteen of nineteen and every shot was
greeted with cheers from Clipper Nation. Here at Staples Center. You could just
feel the momentum turn and the crowdwas involved and it was it was like

(28:25):
the Clippers and thank you for thecall. Rex. It was like the
Clippers were back with an old friend. With Clipper Nation at full capacity here
tonight at Staples Center, that loveaffair between Clipper Nation and this team.
I don't it's never been stronger. This is what Clippers fans have been waiting

(28:48):
for for fifty one years, toget to the Western Conference Finals. The
job is not done. They wanta championship. That's the ultimate goal.
This Clippers team knows it. Butto get there, you gotta get to
the Western Conference Finals. Up nextthe Phoenix Suns. Let's go to Tagius
and Walnut. Tagus, you're onClippers staff without him, Astin Hey,

(29:10):
Adam to a might have loss ofwords, but I'm probably gonna watch the
second half of this game again beforeI go to bed. That's how happy
I am right now, just tomake sure it happened right. It wasn't
a dream. Yeah, I'm stillpinching myself. I wanted to say two
things. One, when you talkedabout the foundation and Doc Rivers, there's

(29:33):
one person left from that foundation that'sPat dev And how fitting was it that
he hit those clutch threes at theend, because that guy gives his heart
out one hundred and fifty percent, and whether he plays or not, he's
the heart of this team. AndI was just so happy for him.
He's helped develop this to your pointthere, to agus this never quit,

(29:56):
never to say die, never giveup type of culture. It's started when
he got here, along with LouWilliams and Montrese Harold. They both obviously
have been huge for turning this organizationand taking that next step in that transition
after Lobs City without those three guys, And you're right, Patrick Beverley,
the only one still hear him hittingthose three three pointers in the fourth quarter,

(30:18):
all right, nobody has deserved itmore than he. I agree,
Adam and second. It's a littleearlier, but when I was after right
before Game five, we found outthe kwai and news, and then they
won Game five in Utah, andthen being down twenty five today and pulling
it off. I have just thoughtabout that Vince Gully quote after Krew Gibson

(30:41):
hit that home run. In ayear that has been so improbable, impossible
has happened. Thank you for thephone calls. Agus. You know we
are your home of the Dodgers aswell. If the Dodgers are on AM
five seventy LA Sports, that meanswe're right here on the Patriot AM eleven
fifty. Let's go to Morrison LongBeach. Morris every night, we got

(31:10):
a different winner rule and every night, and different players got to go in
Clippers rule, Pompano Clipper rule,Bomano Clipper rule, Morrison Long Beach.
I don't know what that parody was, but I like Todays. I just
want to point out that the Clipperssurvived a game where Donovan Mitchell went nine

(31:30):
of fifteen from three, likely acareer high, although he did have a
fifty point game in the playoffs lastyear, but nine of fifteen he hit.
This is how the Clippers got downtwenty five to night in Game six,
he hit a shot from the logofrom the La City, the Los

(31:51):
Angeles script San Andreas font logo atthe center of the court, about a
thirty five foot three pointer or tostart the second and half. Then the
Clippers got down twenty five. Thenthey got started playing that inspired basketball that
they always do, and they dugthemselves out of a hole by out scoring

(32:13):
the Utah Jazz eighty one to fortyseven in the second half. All right,
who else we got here? Eddieand Hawthorne? Eddie, you're on
Clippers stop without am awsin. Youknow, I've been waiting since college for
this to happen, for the pasttwenty years. Wait no longer, Eddie,

(32:37):
Eddie, I'm waiting for you tosay something else, anything else,
Eddie? Or does that say atall twenty years you've been waiting. Some
have waited much longer. It's beenfifty one years in the making for this
Clippers team to reach the Western ConferenceFinals. But I got news for you.
This isn't the end. This teamisn't done now. They're not gonna

(33:00):
stop. They are on a mission. They won these last two games without
Kawhi Leonard, and they were builtfor this. The stay ready Clippers.
That's that's who they've been all seasonlong. Next man Up Reggie Jackson was
out of the rotation in the firstten games the season. He becomes a

(33:21):
starter from Game three on in theplayoffs. Has been their third best score
behind Kawhi and Paul George. It'sdifferent guys, as Morris long Beach was
singing earlier, different guys stepping upall the time for this team. Next
man up two ends on that man. But it's just remarkable the resiliency of

(33:43):
this team. I've never seen anythinglike it. They are as mentally tough
as anyone out there. Jeff andTarzana, you're on Clippers stock. I
am amazed at how good the Clippersare. When you think of only scoring

(34:04):
fifteen points in the first half andwhat eighty one in the second half and
beating them by thirty four points intwenty four minutes. That must be an
all time record for points scored inthe second half on a playoff clincher.
Am I correct. We'll have tocheck on that with the ESPN News and

(34:24):
stats. We'll get to it.Jeff Okay and the other thing, Adam
as I realized that the Clippers arethe only team in NBA history to win
two series when they're two games behind. But what is their overall record?
Because you had this earlier when theywere playing of the Mavericks, of when

(34:45):
they fall behind in the first quarterand come back to win. What's happening
is I am so happy that theyhave to Ron Lewis or coach. He
reminds me a lot of Pete Carrollto make adjustments, how he does his
team and as good a coach asDoc Rivers was. Do you know that

(35:06):
Doc Rivers holds a record for mostblown three to one leads. Let's focus
on the positive though. Okay,I'm so happy to have irone Lou And
the only reason why you're calling theJazz the best team in the Western Conference
or basketball is because they didn't havea lot of injuries like the Clippers had.

(35:28):
If the Clippers would have had Kawaiand Paul George all the year,
the Clippers would have had the bestrecord in basketball. And I'm happy and
I think they could beat Phoenix withinsix games, depending on how many games
Kawai would play or if he playsat all, or Chris Paul. But

(35:49):
I mean I am elated by thisteam. I am so happy Clipper Nation
has reached euphor you Clippers Nirvana. But there's still work to be done and
more Clipper stock coming up next. Also, I know we have postgame audio.
I just know it. Clippers comeback down twenty five here at Staples

(36:13):
Center in Game six in the mostdramatic Clippers way possible to advance to the
Western Conference Finals for the first timein the history of this team's franchise.
Who I'm still standing up. Ihad to go to the bathroom a while
ago. I just forgot you know, I get excited, Clipper Nation,

(36:34):
I know you're right there with me. More Clippers stock coming up eight seven
seven five two zero eleven fifty eightseven seven five two zero eleven fifty.
We'll hear from Coach lou next afterthe Clippers make some personal history reaching the
Western Conference Finals for the first time, but they want to take it further.
This is Clipper Stock here on thepastry Am eleven fifty. The quest

(37:05):
for the Larry O'Brien is off forthem to get to the Promised Land for
the first time in franchise history. You're listening to La Clippers Playoff Basketball on
their exclusive hold Doctor I was rightaway directed cropping nights, your provid inside
George short quarter and you're shot againstpitcher double cup from Robert George. Will

(37:27):
you go to the double's defense right? Based on the fact eighteen butter,
Paul George bills it twenty five forPG thirteen and the Clippers league one thirteen
or one oh six midway through thefourth quarter. The real playoff p has
stepped up. Paul George has comethrough and has taken the team that he

(37:53):
rooted for growing up to the WesternConference Finals and did so in the last
two games without Kawhi Leonard. TheClippers come back down twenty five here in
Game six at Staples Center, andthey're victorious over the Utah Jazz with the
final score of one thirty one toone nineteen. The Clippers will be in
Phoenix for Game one of the WesternConference Finals Sunday. Tip time is at

(38:17):
twelve thirty. Welcome back into ClippersTalk. I'm out of Maslin eight seven
seven five two zero eleven fifty eightseven seven five two zero eleven fifty were
next. We're with you for thenext half hour here on the Patriot am
eleven fifty. But because Jeff andTarzana asked, and I'm feeling generous as
the Clippers were given Utah buckets inthat second half, where they went fourteen

(38:39):
of nineteen from three. The Clipperstrailed seventy five to fifty a minute in
after Donovan Mitchell hit a ridiculous LogoLillard like three pointer to start the third
quarter. But listen to this, the Clippers trailed by twenty five. Tonight
was the largest comeback in a seriesclenching in over the last twenty five seasons.

(39:01):
Nobody had even come back from twentyplus down to win a series in
that span. Entering tonight, theUtah Jazz were two thirty two and one
over the last twenty five seasons, win leading by twenty five points or more.
That one would be the Clippers.Who plays one who just continue to

(39:25):
fight. Someone called him the cockroach. Clippers. You can't kill him,
you can't. Oh what a victorytonight, Clipper Nation. Let's get back
to your phone calls Danny and PicoRivera, Danny, Danny is gone,
Greg and Vinzara, Gregar Clipper Stock, Hey, Adam, you and Noah

(39:49):
do a great job every night.I really appreciate that. We appreciate you,
Adam. The curse of Donald Sterlingis broken. It is defeated and
we are going on to the finals. And what a great game. I

(40:09):
can't remember listening to a game,Adam where a team was down twenty five
and came back and won the game. That that is a tremendous victory.
And Adam, I don't know ifyou remember, but about three or four
weeks ago, and I'm not tryingto, you know, pat myself on

(40:29):
the back, but I said toyou that I think the Clippers had the
deepest team of all the league. And look what happened tonight. I mean,
what a tremendous performance for for TerrenceMann and the fact that these guys
can come back that Kawhi Leonard andand blow out the opponent. It's a

(40:53):
tremendous tribute to this team and howthey play and how they pull together.
And I'm I'm just pleased as hell. So that's all I have to say,
Adam, say Greg, thank youfor the phone call, Thanks for
the love. It was a thirtyseven point turnaround in the last twenty three

(41:15):
minutes. Of the game. Andoh yeah, Terrence Man, who had
twenty of his thirty nine points onfifteen of twenty one shooting where he hit
seven three pointers. Those are allcareer highs for him. But it's a
Clippers playoff record. Those twenty pointsin the third quarter. No Clipper has
ever scored that many points in aquarter in the playoffs before Kawhi at eighteen

(41:38):
in Game two against the Dallas Mavericksin the first quarter. Those were the
most points he had scored individually ina quarter in the playoffs before Terrence Man,
what a man want A man wanta man unbelievable but as always as
a team effort here and the Clippersjust fine ways to get victory. Let's

(42:00):
go to we got oh man welland Guardina Man, Well, what's up,
hey, Adam? To Ben Mallard, to my boy Phelippe, to
all the Clipper fans. I wantto just congratulate you guys. Man the
hell of a win tonight. AndI guess Terence proved that it's a man's

(42:25):
game, yatch. I'm sure BobSchment will use that for a promo anything
else? Man Well? Or wasthat the mic drop there? Pam and
Temple City. Bam. You calledin last game or the game before a
couple last week before. You werekind enough to give me the title of

(42:45):
that wonderful we could be great. And if you could give me also the
artist because I haven't been able tofind it and I appreciate it. But
what I wanted to say is ashout out to Caleb. In a while
my family was simp Cocaoga Falls andAcri. A shout out also to Zach.
He's so kind and embracing you.I think he remembered that I was

(43:07):
asking you about Terrence. So whyTerrence were so scarce? Well, here
he was, and why did hemake the difference? You know, I
wonder if if Gobert would have beenDefensive Player of the Year, if he
had to face the Clippers all thetime, could we sure got through him?
And you know, Tie you,I just can't say enough about him,

(43:28):
his presence, his calmness, andhis strategizing. And I think those
Clippers aren't afraid because they're not afraidthat if they take bad shots they're going
to get barrashed or yell that hejust knows exactly what to do. And
I just can't wait I think there'scomeback was amazing. Like you said,
I can't wait for Sunday. Ilove you guys, I love the Clippers.

(43:50):
It's been a long time. Andcongratulations now well you congradulate and everybody
else, congratulations for you too,and thanks for a lot. God bless
you guys. Bam and Simple City, congratulations to you. Congratulations to Clipper
Nation. You're entering uncharted territory.Welcome to the Western Conference Finals. Amara

(44:15):
in La. You're up next yearon Clippers. Stop without am masson him.
Hi. We're just driving back tothe State from Center and the energy
in that stadium was absolutely crazy.I mean we were high fighting, screaming
on our feet the entire time, and voided Clipper Nations show up. I

(44:36):
just wanted to say that here wego, Arizona, baby, Let's go
Clippers. Thank you for the phonecall. You know, there was a
play that will be ignored because thebasket ultimately wasn't made, but the fact
that Paul George tried to throw itdown on Rudy Gobert and almost had it
just hit the back iron a littlebit too hard. I don't think it

(44:57):
was deflected. To start off thefour quarter to ignite this team. It
was incredible. I still think itinspired guys. As our leader, He's
going right after Rudy Gobert, andthen Reggie Jackson started to take acrobatic layup
after acrobatic layup on Gobert. Justunbelievable. All right, I do want

(45:20):
to hear from the head coach Tlu, who deserves a ton of credit as
our caller Pam gave him. ButI just admire the fact that his willingness
to adjust and to play and letguys run when they're hot, when it

(45:40):
looks like they can't miss a shot, to let a second year player like
Terrence Man start in place of KawhiLeonard, it was unbelievable. Here was
Coach Lou postgame, the orchestrator ofthe two oh comeback and back to back
series or O two comebacks and backto back series. Here was your head

(46:00):
coach I for Los Angeles Clippers, who just will help lead them to the
Western Conference Finals. Speaking with themedia and TI, it's kind of a
two part question here, but likeyou know, you've been to so many
of these these spots here before, but have you ever heard I mean,
maybe with the exception of Game sevenwhen you win the finals. Have you
ever heard a crowd that got intoa second half like this now? Listening
all all all year. You knowRamono from the first two series. You

(46:22):
know, Downs had all their fans, Utah had all their fans. But
our crowd was unbelievable to now, even when we got down, they stuck
with us. They gave us energy. We fed up in positivity, and
who could have done with all ourfans. I'm telling you, if we
have our whole building here today walkingthe way he did, it have been
a tough game for us to win. Does it Does it feel pretty kind
of appropriate that a kid like Terencefan Is has thirty nine points of the

(46:45):
game, Like maybe he doesn't feelthe weight evolve everything that that just happened
here tonight. You know, Ramonohas been happening all year. You know,
well, guys go down, Guysstep up. You know it could
be anybody's night, you know,Terence Man, you know, we get
we talked about it our closest staff, just you know, keeping the confidence
and shooting the basketball. You know, after Game five, like you're forty
percent three point shooting, they're gonnaleave you open. If we get to

(47:07):
the paint, Rudy's coming and you'regonna get open shots. And for him
to come in a big game likethis and step up and make seven threes,
I mean it was huge for us. But having a confidence, you
know, trusting his work, Imean it was it was unbelievable to see
that. Tonight. It's next we'llgo to Candice Buckner. Hey, Ti,
hopefully you can hear me. You'vebeen in the city for a long
time, a lot on the otherside of this hallway, But how would

(47:30):
you describe just the makeup of aClipper fan in the city. They've been
starving, you know, starvings bysuccess. You don't have a lot of
good teams and just call it,you know, a lot of bad breaks.
And we know when Kali went down, you know, didn't fight,
thinking the same thing over and overagain. So when CP got hurt,
but Blake got hurt, and withour team, I'll just tell you,

(47:52):
you know, they just don't quit. They keep fighting, They keep repeating,
and I think our fans love tosee that. This year, like
we never gave in, never pointedto Inger, never you know, pointing
to blame on someone else. Welooked in the mirror. We owned it
and we moved on. And Ijust tell you, just a TOBAL team
member all season long, all playoffslong, different rotations, you know,
starters not playing, you know, starters playing, you know Pat Baby not

(48:15):
playing last series and didn't come inthis series and change the whole series for
us. So you know, it'sa TOBAL team member and we're all a
war. We're trying to win andour team is willing to do whatever it
takes to win. Thanks next toTy, What did you say to them
when you when they're down twenty fiveearly in the third quarter. I mean,
you guys have done come back aftercome back down O two, down

(48:35):
oh two. First team to everdo that, have to come back in
two series this postseason. But whenyou're down twenty five and the third what
did you say to them? Justcontinue to keep trusted, you know what
we've been doing all series long, all season long. You know about in
the first half, we took alot of bad shots. We didn't touch
the paint, and we took somebad shots, but at half time we
just talked about when we get intothe pain, you know we can get
any shot we want. We knowRudy's coming to help, and guys are

(48:58):
gonna be open all around the floor. So don't take it personal. Don't
take the one on one battle. If you can't get to the paint swinging,
slip out the next guy. Vivingin basketball, when we get into
the paint, we can get shots. And I think you saw it in
the second half, you know, scoring eighty one points and I think having
I'm not sure I'm been assisted inthe second half. I think nineteen assisted
in the second half. But weremoving to basketball and we've just trusted what

(49:19):
we've been what we've been doing allseason, and U ty PG just said
that it feels like the monkeys kindof come off the clipping back a little
bit. You you were just talkingabout how how starved this fan base is.
Does it feel like maybe some ofall that bad luck from the past
is kind of dissipating. Yeah, tonight. I mean just seeing our fans
and how they stayed to the endand how they would cheer, and it

(49:39):
just, you know, it justfeel good. It was a great feeling,
you know, And like I said, a team been starving for some
success. The fan base has beendoing the same thing, and you know,
to me, I just you know, I always look at it differently,
Like, you know, I knowthe Lakers are out and there's a
lot of Laker fans here, butonce the Lakers are gone and we're not
playing the Lakers, you should becheering for the Clippers. And that's just
how I feel, because all onecity and I can just feel to love

(50:02):
and you know, I'm just veryhappy, damn straight, Coach lou Well
said there at the end. TheClippers win by twelve in a game they
were down by twenty five in inGame six. They're moving on. They're
advanced into the Western Conference Finals forthe first time in the history of this
franchise. And while we credited coachlou earlier, it starred with Steve Ballmer.

(50:27):
I do want to talk about thisfront office a little bit and Lawrence
Frank, who doesn't get nearly enoughrecognition even though he won Front Office Executive
of the Year last season, buthis staff Michael Winger, Mark Hughes,
Trent Redden, of course the logoJerry West. Think about this. They
found two guys on vet minimums inNicholas Batoum and Reggie Jackson, who wasn't

(50:53):
even with the Clippers at the startof training camp, and they're both starting
in the playoffs and coming up hugeand integral part of this Clippers team.
They're part of the corps and theywouldn't be here without him. And this
front office has just been brilliant. It's unfortunate that Sergebacca, because I think

(51:16):
that was a perfect fit for thisteam has been dealing with that back injury.
He's out for the season, wasn'table to play much. But they
go out and find a Marcus Cousinswho has given them big minutes at times.
Pat pat this season has given themhuge minutes. Patrick Patterson, he
started the stay ready movement. He'sbeen saying it for years. Stay ready,

(51:39):
don't have to get ready, justto add water. During the regular
season when he came into games,he would just catch fire out of nowhere
at times, and it permeated throughoutthe team and it became a matra and
Terrence Man started to do it.Luke Kennard and this Clippers team finds ways

(52:00):
to win and just found their wayinto the Western Conference Finals for the first
time in franchise history. But thejob is not done. They want more.
I saw quotes from Reggie Jackson sayingwe're hungry, and you could see
it when he saw the finish lineapproaching in this fourth quarter, knowing they

(52:22):
were this close, he just wasrelentless go into the basketball. Incredible season
so far, Clipper Nation not done. They start the Western Conference Finals in
Phoenix. Game one is on Sunday, twelve thirty. Tip time, Well

(52:45):
