he's feeling good. Take the showwith you anywhere you are and baby,
get the podcast. I'm the iHeartRadio while and now your host. He
makes everything happen, Adam Mossley. The Clippers kicked the hornet's nest, but
(00:26):
they did not get stunned. Theywould win one twenty five to ninety eight
over the Charlotte Hornets back at StaplesCenter. Welcome into Clippers Talk. I'm
Adam Oslin. Eight six six nineeight seven two five seventy eight sixty six
ninety eight seven two five seventy isthe phone number coming up here on the
show, we'll hear from Nicholas Batumpost game after he got a victory against
(00:48):
his former team. You will alsohear from the head coach t Lou plus
my friend law Murray. He isyour new Clippers beat rider for the athlete
does a fantastic job. He's atlaw Murray the NU on Twitter. He'll
join me for postgame analysis. Clippers. Though they started strong, they finished
(01:08):
strong. They led by as manyas thirty. They would win by twenty
seven. They put up thirty sevenpoints in that first quarter alone, and
they look locked in and focused andhappy to be back at Staples Center,
where they will be for some timenow. They're gonna be playing a ton
of games at home coming up,but this is gonna be the first time
(01:29):
Monday Night where they've had back toback games at home in over a month.
They haven't won two games in arow at home in over a month.
There could be some correlation there. They need a little bit of home
cooking. But after they go toSan Antonio for a back to back on
Wednesday and Thursday, a two gamemini series in San Antonio against the Spurs,
(01:52):
And we circled this on the calendarand told you about this as soon
as the second half schedule came out. The Clippers are going to be in
Los Angeles for seventeen days straight. They have an opportunity to hopefully build off
what they did tonight and really honein develop some more continuity and chemistry and
(02:13):
consistency out there. But I mustsay since that game against the New Orleans
Pelicans, defensively, they've been amazing. They've been fantastic They have held teams
their last three games to an averagescore of just about one hundred and one
points, or just about under that, I should say. In the two
games in Dallas against the Mavericks, one of those games they held them under
(02:36):
a hundred, another one they scoredone oh five, and then tonight against
the Charlotte Hornets they scored just ninetyeight points. That is not an easy
feat in today's NBA. The worstoffense in the league held by I think
the Cleveland Cavaliers, scores one hundredand three points per game. That's what
they average. The Clippers defense hasstarted to ramp up. Maybe they needed
(02:58):
that butt kicking New Orleans because TLUwasn't a happy postgame and he got their
attention. And sometimes going through adversityit helps build character. And having two
games in a row against the DallasMavericks, and even though they lost that
second game, they played really welldefensively. They just went ice cold from
(03:19):
beyond the arc. But what Iliked even more and this one, is
they still weren't very good. Theystill weren't up to their standard. From
three they went twelve or thirty four, that's thirty five percent. They're the
best three point shooting team in theleague at forty two percent on the year,
so that's way under their percentage, and they still dominated. And there
were two categories that we've talked abouta lot. Two areas they had to
(03:43):
improve it points on the paint, and they've steadily been getting a little bit
better there. They have been averagingabout forty two points per game this season,
that's bottom five in the league.Tonight they put up a fifty six
spot when it came to point,it's in the paint, and there's a
connection there between that and free throwshooting. When you're playing more aggressive,
(04:04):
attacking the rim type of basketball, you're going to take more free throws.
They attempted twenty three when they averagethis nineteen per game, that's bottom three
in the league. Those are twoareas. There were two areas of concern
they weren't tonight. Overall, ifthey can get better there while keeping in
the three points shooting going on,while keeping this level of locked in defensive
(04:25):
efforts, they're in great shape. There's still twenty nine games left, and
remember their last four games, Iwant to say now have been without Sir
Jebaca and Patrick Beverley. Hopefully theCavalry is on the way sooner than later.
But we did find out earlier todayand t lose pregame press or that
(04:46):
neither of those players practiced on Friday, so there could still be some time.
But through injuries comes opportunities, andI Visa Zubots has been fantastic.
He dominated really in that third quarter, was just physical and there had six
of his ten points there, andthere were I don't know if this was
a season high for dunks in thegame, but it probably was for the
(05:08):
Clippers. Kawhi Leonard was catching alleyoops from Paul George and the second quarter
from half court. I said thison Twitter, but I think Kawhi Leonard
has had Orb's cotton, more oopsthis season, more lobs than he did
all of last year with the Clippers, and there's something to that. He's
playing back to backs now he's healthy, as he has told us. But
(05:31):
also Paul George had a two handedthrow down early in the game. He
had twelve points twelve of his twentyone in that first quarter, but he
finished with ten assists to zero turnovers. That was more impressive to me,
even though he still went four ofeight from downtown looked great from beyond the
arc. Did it all unlimited, limited minutes, just played thirty three after
(05:53):
playing forty Wednesday night in Dallas,But after he comes out has twelve points.
Was the focal point on offense inthat first quarter. I think he
rested the last three minutes of thefirst comes back to start the second and
immediately notices the Charlotte Hornets are loadingup to stop him, double teams,
(06:13):
triple teams, and he finds patpat for two easy dunks. Patrick Patterson.
Those would be the only baskets hemade, but he made an impact
in just twelve minutes four points twoa four shooting, but both of those
were assisted by PG thirteen. Onehe found him cutting down the lane.
One he found him in transition afterPaul George block. Gordon Hayward. Elite
(06:38):
defense, elite offense. You havetwo two way players on this team that
are starting to play or getting backto playing that great basketball and getting back
into that great rhythm as PG thirteenhas been in for the majority of this
season, but he had been strugglingbefore the last two games, so it's
very good to see him be thatassert of offensively early on. But then
also going too facilitator mode. It'ssomething he's worked on all season long to
(07:02):
expand his game to become a betterpasser. And having ten assists to zero
turnovers. That's a huge monster nightfor him and hopefully something he continues to
do. Kawhi Leonard in that secondquarter, I thought was pretty good with
energy plays and then had a playto start the third quarter where he had
a swiping steal that turned into ajam after he stole the ball from Gordon
(07:24):
Hayward. They kept the pedals tothe medal, they kept the pressure on.
I'm not sure if Charlotte ever fromthe third quarter on, had it
closer than twenty points. This wasa dominating, dominating victory for the Clippers.
For forty eight minutes. They playedgreat basketball. There wasn't one quarter
(07:45):
where Charlotte outscored them, and inthat first half, holding the Hornets is
just forty four points when the Clippershad sixty six. Huge But I think
part of the reason they were ableto keep their foot on the gas was
because they had reserves and guys comingoff the bench that provide energy like Terrence
Man, someone who plays downhill likethat. Fourteen of his sixteen points came
(08:09):
in the second half, and Iwant to say all of them were at
the rim. He was great thehustle plays, but just being intent on
crashing boards and getting to the basketand getting in transition. The Clippers had
sixteen fast break points, the Hornetsjust four. That's one other area,
one of the three areas we've talkedabout they've had to improve in. They're
(08:33):
gonna play with more pace, andthey've picked their spots, and at times
they did. In this one,Clippers win by twenty seven over the Charlotte
Hornets. Before we break, hereMorris and Long Beach. Morris here on
Clippers stock without of Maslin. Howare you all right, Adam? The
Clippers running down on a break, the ball is moving everywhere. Kwires cleaplan
(08:54):
on the week side. The ballhits him right there. Wow, he
got it. Three points to runstarted tonight, they rebound tonight. They
throw down the teams on fire.Yeah. Oh, Morrison Long Beach,
you know it's a good night forthe Clippers. When he busts out the
tunes like that, chick out thejams, Morrison Long Beach with the parodies.
(09:18):
Clippers win by twenty seven points atStaples over the Charlotte Hornets eight six

seventy. I see the wheels turningwith Zach. I'll quality right now trying
to find the perfect out song tomatch when Morris just did Clippers M I
(09:41):
picked up that hot line. That'sthis right, Yeah, Well, Drake
the basketball team I think lost turnman Clippers. Hopefully this turns into something
now where they can get rolling.Haven't won two games in a row in
a month. They have an opportunityto do that. Monday Night. They're
(10:03):
taken on Trey Young and the AtlantaHawks, one of the hottest teams in
the NBA. They've won eighth straightafter they beat the Lakers at Staples earlier
Today. More Clippers saw coming upnext, and you'll hear from Nicholas Batoum,
who also played really well against hisformer team. In that third quarter,
he had a tremendous play under thebasket where he tipped the ball away
and then tipped it back to Terren'sman for an easy layup. Clippers win
(10:30):
by twenty seven over his former team. This is a five seventy l A
Sports and the Clippers radio network letterthere he erased it at the rim by
never had a chams. This isLA Clippers basketball on the official home of
your LA Clippers. Here's Jackson straightaway picks up the triple feats Patoum with
(10:58):
the Hawks hats of the near sidefor inside two. Good trailer. It's
Kawhi letter major Kwhilin as he slamswith two plus the foul. So we
were trying to sort through the parodysong that Morrison Longbeach was doing. Last
segment here after the Clippers went bytwenty seven over the Charlotte Hornets. Was
(11:22):
it venus by Banana Rama? Eitherway, Clippers had that fire they shot
I think coming into the third quarter. Coming into the fourth quarter, they
were near sixty percent from the field. They ended shooting fifty two percent from
the field, just thirty five percentfrom three. But they go one hundred
(11:45):
percent twenty three up twenty three fromthe free throw line. They are the
best free throw shooting team. Theyjust don't get there as often as we
like. But that could be changing. Now You're seeing them imposing their will
and refusing to settle for jump shots. With the way they've gotten to the
ram the last couple of games, and they missed a lot of easy shots
(12:05):
last game, and that was theonly issue. And not every loss is
created equal. The loss against Dallaslast game, where they only gave up
one hundred and five points, verydifferent than the loss against the New Orleans
Pelicans where they got ran off thefloor and the Clippers were missing shots they
typically make. Marcus Morris was oneof nine from three last game tonight,
(12:30):
three of five, has thirteen points. Had two of those three pointers,
I want to say in the thirdquarter when they kept Charlotte at bay,
when they did have some guys whowere starting to heat up a little bit.
Bridges had five three pointers, MonteGraham hit a couple. They actually
hit fifteen threes and lose by twentyseven. And the difference is the Clippers
(12:56):
had almost twenty seven more points inthe paint. In fact, I'm seeing
on the television side they're saying thatClippers had fifty seven points in the paint
Charlotte thirty, So that was huge. The Clippers also didn't turn the ball
over in the second half. Theyhad eight in the first half, just
two in the second half. Theydidn't have a turnover in that third quarter.
(13:18):
So those are ways to hold onand extend leads, and they did
that. They led by as manyas thirty. Clippers win by twenty seven
over the Charlotte Hornets. This isClippers stock. I'm at a Moslin to
eight sixty six nine eight seven twofive seventy eight six six nine eight seven
two five seventy or gets me outfollow Adam a coming up. Law Murray
from the Athletic will be here. You'll hear from t Loop posts game,
(13:41):
but I want to hear from Nicholasbatum who had eleven points, two steals,
two assists. One of those stealsturned into a breakaway dunk for himself.
He was a plus nineteen off thebench. This is a new role
for him. With Marcus Morris histhird game back starting, Nicholas Batouma is
coming off the bench, but he'sa team guy. There's no concern there
whatsoever. He just wants to winand getting a victory against a team that
(14:07):
released you has got to feel good. And with the way he's played this
season, I think he's exceeded allexpectations. Saint Nicholas Batoum has for Clippers
fans here. He was postgame onFox Sports Prime Ticket speaking with Christina Pink
two games in a role against theDallas Mavericks, and is there an echoing
here? You know that didn't soundup. You know, I know it
(14:33):
took you a little while to comeover here. You're saying, hi to's
unfamiliar faces. Eleven points for youin this game. But what was your
mindset going up against your former team? No, it's always and I'll defend
when you go against your former team, you know. So it's seen my
third frenchise. So anytimes you playedfor from your faces someone you had the
same jersey on ass defriend But you'rejust a we're good and a game.
(14:56):
We're a good game for us.We and they need that winning. We
did a good job, so westepped on in. We have a good
game. Well, coming into thisone, Charlotte was one of the better
transition teams in the league. Youhelp them do just four fast break points.
You never trailed at all in thisgame. How did the offense and
the defense come together tonight? Oh, it's the way we have to play
every night. No, we canbe a good defensive team. So it's
(15:18):
good to say it, we haveto show it now. And on the
offense, we have to keep movingthe ball. We did a good job
tonight on sharing and moving good ball. I think it's going better and it's
pretty good tonight again. So whenwe play like that, we're a good
team. Yeah, you guys certainlydid play like that tonight. But how
do you guys string together some winsto get the nice bounce back tonight?
But to get a street going school, I say a couple of games ago
that have to be consistent, andtonight we did a good job. So
(15:41):
we have to do the same thing. That's a great team and we're gonna
play against the one of the bestteam right now, the last of four
game in the NBA on Mondays,so we have to be ready for them.
We have to stay top of greatfor it. Let me more on
Monday. All right, congrats onthe win, Thank you so much,
Nicholas. Nicholas Patum post game therehe had eleven of points. Clubbers win
by twenty seven. And remember theCharlotte Hornets have been playing well. They've
(16:04):
lost three in a row now,but before that they won four in a
row. They are well in theplayoff picture. In the Eastern Conference.
They were sixth in the East cominginto this game. Things are starting to
click for them. Gordon Hayward hasbeen fantastic, has been a fantastic pickup
for them. Terry Rozier looks likea different player than he was a couple
(16:26):
of years ago in Boston. Hewas so streaky that now all of a
sudden, he's been consistent. Coursetonight, just two of ten, two
of nine from three and LaMelo ball, thirteen points, three steals, just
one turnover, four of twelve fromthe field. They'll struggle with his shot,
but he's still He had a beautifulbaseball type of pass and then the
second half there are shades of PistolPete in some of his games. It's
(16:52):
amazing to watch a player that young, remember, didn't go to college and
played overseas. He is one whois running away right now with Rookie of
the Year. All right, we'lltake a quick call before we break here,
Jeff and Tarzana. You're on Clipperssoft without inimas and what's up,
Jeff? Well, Adam, whatI really liked about the Clipper game tonight
(17:14):
is when they got that far ahead, they didn't let it go. They
had a killer instinct tonight, andyou've got to have a killer instinct to
win in this league. Also, the fact is points in the paint.
Remember all your Adam, I've beenharping on that you were the one.
Jeff, Yeah, I know basketball. And the fact of the matter is
(17:36):
that when you can have not one, not two, but six guys have
double figures in scoring and ten turnovers, Adam, isn't the league average about
fifteen per team? Yeah, theClippers are top five. They only turn
the ball over about twelve times pergame, or maybe just about thirteen,
so they've been good there. Butthey were right there, Jeff, especially
(17:59):
in the second half. Only twoof those ten came in the second half.
And did you hear the rumor that'sgoing around that the Clippers are thinking
about trading for Lumzo Balls. Ihave heard that, Jeff. I've heard
the scuttle butt that you imagine canyou imagine Lavard Burton coming? I got
(18:21):
you in between Jury West, SteveBomber and the Clipper organization. Well,
it's funny we haven't heard as muchfrom him recently, Jeff, and I
appreciate the phone call, and asvoice first, or as bombastic as he's
been LaVar Ball, and he hasbeen, but his kids are in the
(18:44):
NBA, and in some ways hetakes the attention away from him and deflects
a little bit. I don't knowif that was his master plan all along,
but they're all really quiet and wellspoken, and I've always felt bad
for them at times because they hadnothing to do with that circus. But
Lonzo Ball, he's always, ithink, acted like a professional out there.
(19:11):
And you know, we'll see whatcomes about the trade deadline's coming up
later this week. Jeff, Ijust have my full faith in that Clippers
front office. We'll take a quickbreak, but before we do, let's

(21:08):
eight seven two five seventy before wehave law murray on from the athletic Let's
hear from the head coach to RonLoup post games speaking with the media,
Hey, Ty, do you feellike tonight was one of the most or
one of the best games in termsof you know, executing a game plan
and limonton your turnovers and you know, not letting the team get out in
transition. Yeah, I mean Ithought we did a good job, you
(21:29):
know, only having two times inthe second half. I thought we shared
the basketball. Like said, defensivelygiving back and only giving this team for
transition points was really good for us. I mean, it was a ton
of team effort. The things we'vebeen talking about, the things we've been
wanting to do, you know, offensively and defensively, I'm would get it
for you. Well, tonight. The only thing we got to get better
at just are switching, just talkingand communicating. You know, a lot
(21:52):
of times guys got behind us becausewe went talking our switches and communicating.
But other than that, I thoughtit was pretty solid. Thank you.
We'll go next to cam Hey coach. As you mentioned, a lot of
things went well. You guys jumpedout on these guys early. You guys
were perfect from the stripe, limitedyour turnovers In a game like this or
any game, actually, do yougive away the game ball and only the
(22:17):
game ball? Is there any otherkind of post game awards do you give
your team? No, I donot sign cam. But but just like
I said, overall good game orjust you know, we're not shooting the
balls as well as we need to. And I think we're getting some good
looks and just not shooting the ballfrom the three point line, which is
you know why our defense has tobe great and having a defensive mindset,
(22:38):
and like I said, these lastthree games, we've done that. No,
they look good tonight, Thanks coach, Yes, sir, thanks,
we'll go next to till mare.We tell you for the most part,
you guys dominated inside the painting thearea. I'm curious, like, how
do you make that like a concertedeffort because you guys have been the best
three point shooting team. You guyshave gotten good looks from there, But
(23:00):
how do you sort of just getthat on a consistent basis. Well,
the Dallas game, you know, second game comes out most paint attacks of
the season, So I just gottakeep harping on it. You know,
a lot of teams are, youknow, trying to protect the paint and
take the paint away. So wehave to make the right play. I
think we start shooting the ball likewe're capable of shooting it like we have
all year and teams are you know, tend to stay at home more,
(23:21):
but we just haven't shot the ball, particularly will as of Lake and Terence
was was phenomenal for you guys tohave to get fourteen points in the second
half fortune or sixteen? What didyou make of his play and his uh
sort of you know, paint attacksand attacking the pain and make putting pressure
on them. Yeah, just asenergy rebound to basketball and you know when
you can push the ball after yourebound the basketball that you can get downhill.
But he's done a phenomenal job ofjust attacking early, you know,
(23:45):
getting to their feet alto gett intothe basket. So his energy is infectious.
It is good for us. Thanks. We'll going next to Andrew building
up what you mentioned pregame. Youknow how you you're just looking at thirty
games used to go for the playoffswhen you're used to your whole life to
having eighty two games in a seasonto trying to prepare for that. What's
(24:07):
it like this year with ten fewergames? Like does that throw you off
as a coach? Just having lesstime and feeling like there's maybe more insensive
urgency to kind of make that push, make those changes happen. I wouldn't
say more so the games, Andrew. I would say more so the practice
time. You know, just havingthe practice time to do what you want
to do. And I know itwas a it was a part you know
in the season when we weren't ableto go to the gym as much as
(24:29):
we needed to because of protocol. But that's the biggest thing, you know,
the ten game. I think youcan kind of live with. Its
just a practice time that you've missed, you know, all throughout the course
of the season. And then Iknow you have kind of two hands tight
in on your back right now withsurgeon Pat not available. But what's tonight
an indication that you guys can sortof hit another level even with guys out,
(24:51):
with your effort and consistency. Yeah, I mean it's tough, you
know when it's when it's for along period of time. You know,
we missed, you know, twoguys out of your rotation, you know,
two starters. But you know, like I said, our next man
up mentality, you know, guyshave been great with that. Like you
said, team man was good.Pat pat has with good minutes PG.
You know, get into the paint. You know. Having ten assists at
night no turnovers was huge for us. So playing a good team that pushes
(25:17):
the pace, they play on tempo, they attack the paint. For us
to have a deepnessive performance like wedid was good to see. There was
Coach Loup post game after the Clipperswin by twenty seven at Saples Center over
the Charlotte Hornets and those transition pointsthat were missing for Charlotte. That's a
big part of their game. Theylike to get out and run. When
you have someone who's a passer andcan push the pace like LaMelo Ball,
(25:40):
of course that has to be partof your attack. But just four fast
break points they average fifteen per game. Clippers averaged just ten per game,
but they had sixteen fast break points, so they went rogue with it and
stole the Charlotte Hornet's powers. Tonight, Clippers win one twenty five to ninety
eight. Coming up next, we'llhave a lot murray on from the athletic.
(26:03):
I'd also like to point out ReggieJackson just seven points in twenty one
minutes. Had all seven of thosepoints. I want to say in the
first quarter. He got off toa quick start. Stay Reggie. It
was a plus twenty three up there. Clippers back at Staples Monday night tip
times at seven pm. We'll haveyour Clippers countdown show starting at six.

I'm out of Moslin and you arelistening to Clippers talk. You're on Amp

How PG thirteen silky small from downtown. He's three for three from the land
(27:08):
of the three. At a timeoutis called by James Barrego. PG thirteen
ended up four of eight from distance. Had twenty one points but ten assists
to zero turnovers. His career highand assist is twelve, but ten to
zero is a pretty good assistant turnoverratio. Clippers win by twenty seven over
(27:32):
the Charlotte Hornets. Back at StaplesCenter. This is the seventh game this
season that the Clippers have kept theiropponent to under one hundred points. The
Clippers are seven and ozer in thosegames, as Charlotte had just ninety eight
tonight. Welcome back in two Clipperstock. I'm at a Moslem to eight

five seventy is the phone number. And let's get to the hot line where
Law Murray from Philly, now thePrince of bel Air out here covering your
Clippers. He does it for theathletic. Follow him at Law Murray,
the NU Law. Thanks for comingback on Clippers talk. I mentioned Paul
George there at the beginning, andI felt like he really controlled this game
(28:18):
when the Clippers built up that biglead in the first half. Yeah,
and it was more than just thefirst half. I mean, let's let's
be a lot more tighter about it. It was the first quarter. First
quarter. Paul came out in hisfirst couple of shots, got a baseline
dunk. You know, sometimes Paulgoes the wrong time without a dunk.
And from there the Clippers had aseventeen point lead early and it never got
(28:42):
it and they were never really threatenedafter that. It was never a single
digit dame after the first quarters.I think especially, I mean Palm,
you know, lost money this week. He had to come out with a
different kind of energy, different kindof folks, and he played a great
all around game, both ends ofthe floor, inside fitness, teammates up
(29:02):
and it was. It was aphenomenal performance, probably his best since the
night news came and All Star atLaw. I'm not trying to be picky,
but I want to make sure everybodycan hear you because your analysis is
too good. Are you in awind tunnel or something? Hey, I'm
messed up in Okay, Okay, okay, we'll deal with it. We'll
(29:22):
deal with it. Law Murray ismy guest here on Clipper Stock after they
win one twenty five to ninety eightover the Charlotte Hornets. Clippers had speaking
of a lack of turnovers with PGnot having any, but they just had
ten as a team, just twoin the second half. They've been good
in that area all season long. But it goes back to that conversation that
we hear all the time. Andthere's new rumors out about Lonzo Ball and
(29:45):
whether or not the Clippers are interestedin bringing him in. Are you of
the belief that they still need thatmore traditional point guard. Absolutely not.
I couldn't be born against it because, for one, as you mentioned,
this isn't the first time that theClippers have been decent at taking care of
(30:06):
the basketball. Tonight they just didan outstanding job protechnic. This was Paul
George his first game ever with doubledigit assists without a turnovers, and it's
that's the that's really what ty Louhas entrusted the two stars and doing Twyliner
Paul George, hear do you guys? Y'all had the responsibility of getting us
(30:30):
into the offense making plays for eachother. I think that gets a little
rough with one of those guys isout, so I can understand that.
But this team is about paint touches, baul movement, three point shooting,
or a relatively slow taste but opportunistictaste. So tonight was a good example
(30:51):
of that. They get a goodjob of forcing turnovers, getting rebounds,
and doing a good job of controllingthe case of the game. A player
like Alonzo Ball, I think wewould improve the pace. He's a decent
three point shooter. Of guys whocan do the ball, but Alonzo struggles
a bit when it comes to penetratonand if you've seen any Telligence games and
(31:11):
you've seen the lack of control theteam has had latant games, you can't
tell me, Oh, Alonzo's gonnacome here and all of a sudden the
same thing that leave you at theend of a Clippers game to go,
oh, they need facilitated. Theyhe's similar to organize their often. I
mean, we're seeing two different things. If that's the case. So I
think Alonzo is a really good player, a really good prospect because he's got
(31:34):
years to improve. But you're goingto you're gonna take You're gonna break up
the chemistry of this team to notcompletely solve certain problems. It's law Murray
from the Athletic currently inside the tunnelwhere CP three and Blake and James Harden
we're trying to find each other acouple of years ago in the bowels of
(31:57):
Staples Center. He's joining me hereon Clippers stock after they win by twenty
seven over the Charlotte Hornets and speakingto that paint production, that paints scoring,
which they have been better at eventhough the results weren't necessarily there Wednesday
night. That's when you talk aboutprocess over results. They made a concerted
effort to get into the paint. They didn't get a lot of calls,
(32:20):
but they are making sure that they'regetting those paint touches. And I feel
like a Vizza Zubats has been ahuge part of that because he's just been
a monster. He's been a beastsince he's been injected back into the starting
lineup. Do you think, inthe same way that Marcus Morris has been
reinserted into the starting lineup law thatwe could see a Vizza Zubots staying there
even when Sergebaca is healthy. No, I don't think that that's going to
(32:45):
happen. I think what happened withMarcus. Marcus was signed to be a
starter and then he just wasn't waitingphysically to begin the season. Nicholas Matina
came in. He did a greatjob as a blue guy, as a
connector, as defender, and itallowed Marcus to get himself healthy. It
gave the present element of offensive firepowerwhen he came back, and Nicholas just
(33:13):
did a great job getting to thoseteammates and billing that trust that you need.
Now he needs Marcus to play better, So try Lou got Marcus into
the starting lineup again with Sturge andZoo. When it comes to those guys,
Surgeon was brought here to start andStarge is going to be an important
(33:35):
part of what this offense does asa starting unit. And they still need
Zoo to come in and do whathe's been doing putting pressure on the rim
and the glass. He's done agreat job, he's done hit, He's
done a great job in his roles. But for this team to be at
their best, I think that youbring Surge back when he's sealthy, he
can take his time, bring himback into the starting lineup and he's I'll
(34:00):
be gonna wind up playing as muchas so as anyway. He is Law
Murray of the Athletic. He doesa fantastic job covering the Clippers. He's
at Law Murray the NU on Twitter. Find him there, subscribe to the
Athletic. It is well worth itfor his coverage alone, let alone all
(34:20):
the other great work done on thatwebsite. Lave. I appreciate you coming
on with me tonight on Clipper Stockonce again. Hey, thank you Adam.
All right, you always had megoing with though you tank doing something
spectacular, So I hope you wereable to catch the Lake Bua versus Ghost

from Staples Center. We will haveyour Clippers pregame show starting at six.
(35:08):
And one more guy I want tohighlight would be Luke Kennard. I know
they weren't the most meaningful minutes, but he came in and had eight points
in seven minutes. At the endof this one hit a thirty foot three
pointer and he's nine for his lastfifteen from three. So when his number
(35:30):
has been called. He's been goodrecently and the Clippers have been showing off
their depth. They could need itcome Monday night against the hottest team in
the league. The Atlanta Hawks havewon eight in a row after they defeated
the Los Angeles Lakers earlier today. Before we get out of here, I
(35:50):
also want to thank the Clippers organization, Noah Eagle, Bryan Seaman, Ralph
Lawlor, Mike noo Get Big BroJake, and we had Zach l'qualdy,
who's always great here in Burbank, with all the music, with all the
highlights, with all the postgame audio. Until Monday night on the Patriot AM
