Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Hey, More variety from the two thousands, the nineties
and today Star one on one three. It's Marcus and
Corey with the kid Leroy and Justin Bieber just before six.
Good morning, it's Monday.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
It is Monday.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
My voice does sound a little haggard, doesn't it. No, No,
I'm saying over the weekend that I sound a little Well.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
You don't stop, you go one hundred miles an hour.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
I don't think I've yelled at a Giants game more
than I yelled on Friday.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
But they won.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
I mean barely. God, was anybody else at that game?
That lead changed hands like six times.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
That's when I watch a game.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
That's why it's hard for me to watch basketball, because
the lead can change so vehemently.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
This was like two to one, Dodgers, four to two, Giants,
eight to four, Giants, eight to six, Giants, eight to seven, seven,
nine to eight. I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
I didn't watch any of the Giants games, sadly, but
I did watch Major League, a movie from the nineties.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Yeah that'll cleanse your brain.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yeah, that's I had.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
A really cleansing weekend when it comes to just fluff
and not you know, paying attention to the news.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Just watch a movie.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Good. The problem is on with these games at Oracle
Park when the Dodgers are in town. There are so
many Dodger fans either in the area or they travel. Yeah,
and then they start trying to do a let's go
Dodgers chant, And you know, my buddy Freddy is super loud,
like I am. Yeah, we single handedly shut those down
in our section.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Maybe that's why your voice is single handed.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
I'm saying I've never yelled to I was like, oh no,
this ain't happening.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
That's quite the rivalry.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
And then Saturday night David Spade at the Mountain Winery
was epic, and then Sunday was at a pool in Alamo,
so so good. Nice. We had completely different weekends, did
we know? So you watched Major League and what else?
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Last night we watched Dragonette with Tom Hanks and dan
Aykroyd and we did take the dogs out for a
nice long walk and but yeah, it was a super
chill weekend.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
We've had non super.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Chill weekends for a while, and so it's been a
minute since we just kind of like, I mean, Jeff
made some chicken wings and homemade onion rings.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I mean we had some good food.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
He made up de last night with a homemade alfredo
so good.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah. Well, welcome back from the weekend. Everyone, keep us
updated on what you did over the weekend. Would love
to get a talk back if you don't mind that
little red microphone on the iHeartRadio app. I'm going to
need that later because we're going to do another talkback
for tickets this week for tickets to Joe Koya at
Cash Creek, two sold out shows. But we've got you.
That's at seven thirty five this morning, so stay with us.
(02:39):
It's Star one, O one three, It's Marcus and Corey.
Good morning. There are four common food types that can
make you stink.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
One of them I totally understood, and the rest I was.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Like, oh, okay, I think this. I gotta be honest,
this article is a stretch in my opinion. You think
so well, none of my hitters are on here.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Because by the odor can form when skin bacteria breaks
down sweat, and certain foods make that result worse.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
So basically, they're saying the compounds in these foods will
interact with your own personal body chemistry and might make
you stink. We are all very familiar with garlic, right right,
shout out to the Stinking Rose, one of the best
places for date night, because then everybody's eating garlic and
you're okay.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I love garlic so good.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
But there's some people have this weird body thing where
they give off a fishy odor if they eat.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Seafood, like salmon, for example, which I love salmon, but
it's like some people maybe.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage contain sulfur that escapes
through breath, sweat, and gas.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Might make you stink maybe sometimes.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Yeah, I mean I feel like those kinds of foods
can make you feel kind of bloated.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
You know that that has nothing to do with stinking.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Well, if you're releasing the blows.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Like okay, for example, producer Jason Vegetarian, Yeah, did we
ever catch an odor off him?
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Ever, the answer is no, No, not really.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
What about spices like currian cuman. Now that's a thing
that can send volatile oils into the bloodstream and then
that will leave through your sweat glands.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
So that's going to leave a lingering aroma.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
I have sweated cuman before.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
I've never noticed that like a you know, like a
good tie not ti when you get curry and you
get non.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
I mean, I've not noticed any sort of side.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Effects from doing that, I feel like, and I don't
cook with curry a lot, but I do feel like
it can take your kitchen out if you cook with
it all the time. That smell is going to.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Be there, like a buttered chicken sauce.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Sauce, and don't make me hungry.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
That so good, so good.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
And then finally on this list of foods that can
make you stink, red meat. I know red meat is
not great for you, and you're supposed to limit how
it you eat, but gosh darn it, I like red meat.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Just as a science it says consuming red meat can
release uh proteins through perspiration that are odorless, but then
they mingle with your skin bacteria and that odor can intensify.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
I guess I'm very uh paranoid and always want to
smell nice and clean and not too much perfume. We've
got a couple guys in this building who like to
just douse themselves in colone. But I'd rather smell Colonne
than some of the other things I smell around here.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
I mean, what about what about old onions? Old onions
or asparagus.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Well, that's asparagus you're gonna smell in your own personal time.
That's not something that you smell in the rag.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
But if I'm in the men's and I'm doing number
one and somebody's next to me, is that not gonna you.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Know, not out is affected by asparagus?
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Is that right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
That's kind of one of those things where some people
are and some of youle aren't.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Nothing more unsettling than forgetting you had asparagus and then
getting a rude awakening.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I feel comfortable.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Feel the same way about beats.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
What's wrong with beats?
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Because they think you're dying. Yeah, you think you're dying.
You're there clearing yourself out, and you're like, what's going
on down there?
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Oh? This is not this topic is getting I'm trying
to tiptoe.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
We're done here.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yeah, wrap it up.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Asparagus and beets and onions, no, stop it all right?
We have to go couple variety from the two thousands,
the nineties and today it's Star one on one three,
it's Marcus and Corey. Good morning Monday. Yes, so uh
I saw this and a lot of this is clickbaity,
but I think there is some merit here from a
(06:37):
relationship expert. The number one thing that couples should do
if they want a happy relationship.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to better
your relationship.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Sure, honesty is the best policy, she says. She says
couples who talk openly and honestly can better understand each
other's needs and feelings. Okay, She advises setting aside time
each day to talk without distractions, put your phone down,
no TV. This will help you build a stronger connection
because ultimately it helps you to realize that your partner
is kind of in the same boat with you. You're
(07:07):
both trying to achieve the same goal. Maybe you go
about it differently. If you don't talk about your feelings,
that builds resentment, and in my mind, resentment is the
number one relationship killer.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Huge because you can be resentment about all kinds of
different things. But one thing I try to do is
when my husband gets home from work and I'm watching TV,
if he starts to tell me a story that I
know is going to be important to him, I pause
the TV.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I do exactly the same thing if I'm working on
the laptop right and the wife's got something important to say,
and I know she's And for us it's way different
because my daughter will be away at her volleyball camp.
And love our kids. But I said it yesterday, they
can be like relationship torpedoes. They just insert themselves.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
You know, it's a lot going on. They need a
lot of your attention.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
So when my wife has something important, I shut everything down. Yeah,
put the phone in the pocket, shut down the laptop,
give her my full attention.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
And also, I think when it comes to resentment or
any issues might have, you have to learn how your
partner deals with that kind of thing because you don't
want to be accusatory about it, right. You do want
to share how you feel, and so I always know
that with my husband, I share how I feel, and
then I give him twenty four hours to get back
to the response because he needs time to take that in,
digest it and come up with a response.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You don't want to poke the bear and force him
to answer right away.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I wish maybe I should do that. Here's the problem
is our time alone is so fleeting because of our
child that like, if my wife and I have thirty
minutes alone, that's amazing. Yeah, and maybe I'm just not
trying hard enough.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
I know. It's a work around you guys have to
figure out.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
I will say one thing I appreciate about yours and
my relationship Corey is that we can be one hundred
percent honest with where we're at, can get emotional in
here sometimes.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Well, we talked a lot about our own personal stuff
and we share a lot.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Sure, so there have been occasions, and this is how
we do. It's like, if one person feels slighted by
the other person, Corey will say to me, I'm paraphrasing,
you're being a jerk. Here's why, here's how I feel.
Or I could do the same thing. Hey, you're being
a jerk. Here's why. Here's where I'm coming from. In
a rare moment of maturity in the studio, the other
(09:10):
person goes, Okay, I see you. Here's why I feel
that way. And then we go okay, I.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
See you, right, and I don't, and then we're done apologizing,
you know, right, And once that that happens, like.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
You said, we're done. Yeah, And to me, that's healthy.
So just a recap like this is so simple. Relationship
experts says, the number one thing couples to do if
they want a happy relationship is to be honest about
their feelings and the other person has to hear the
other person out without feeling attacked.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah, you both have to participate in this exercise.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
All right, Did we help anyone?
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Nope?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Nope, everybody's in their car, go like, yeah, you guys,
duh deuy, Oh my god, you're so smart from back
doy any other tips if you feel like if you
feel like you have a really healthy relationship, would love
to hear about it on the talkback. I know we
have a lot of people been together with their partner
for a long time. Yeah, it's the little red microphone
on the iHeartRadio app. If you're streaming Star one on
one three right now, this is what I'm talking about.
(10:06):
It's what's trendina on Star one three.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
What's happening in entertainment news, the biggest stories of the day,
and everything people are talking about today.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
In the Babe Superman, the new movie pulled it over
twenty two million in previews and rocked in ninety five
percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
So James Gunn is already eyeing what's next.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
He told The Wall Street Journal that he's considering TV
spinoffs for characters that also pop up in the movie,
like mister Terrific Jimmy Olsen.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
We're already talking about spinoffs.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
He's already got Peacemaker season two dropping August twenty first, now, Peacemaker,
I really enjoyed that first season. That's John Cena Okay
plays the Peacemaker. His sidekick is an eagle. It's really funny. Uh,
But I still just not interested in this Superman.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I mean, it looks like it's doing great. They don't
need me.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
He's just not your guy. He's not jestic enough for Corey.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
No, Henry Cavill was majestic totally. The gal Audrina Miranda,
who stars in Jurassic World Rebirth, was talking about behind
the scenes details and how close knit the cast was,
and she said that Scarlett Johanson rented a yacht for
the cast to unwind during the attent shoot in Thailand,
(11:21):
and joked that Scarlet made some money when she was
told she get fifty dollars a jump off the boat.
But what I liked about this is this actress. She
plays the younger person in the movie.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
She's a kid.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
She says, Johansson was so humble and down to earth,
and the cast made her feel like part of a family.
Oh that's nice, it's nice. I do want to see
that one Jurassic World rebirth.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
And then Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner continue to be
the model for co parenting. They were with their kids,
Samuel and Sarah Finet a Boston Red Sox game this weekend,
and of course once this was posted this picture, comments
begging the couple to reconcile flooded the post. That's not
going to happen because she is happily entwined with her
longtime boyfriend John Miller.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
I kind of was rooting for them, but.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
I like to root for anybody in Hollywood that's trying
to make it. It's not easy. I mean in a relationship,
just in general. Yeah, yes, yes, in relationship. There's a
lady in San Jose making national news. I don't know
if you saw this story. Her home was flooded with
unwanted Amazon packages.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I did see this for like a year.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, each box containing a faux leather car seed cover
from a band from brand Overseas. I guess. Her address
was apparently listed as the company's addressed for returns.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Obviously this isn't a good product.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
No, it's not.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Everybody's returning it.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
I guess you know high cost seat covers don't fit.
And you know their quote restocking fee was fifty percent
of the overall price of said seat cover. Wow, so
they're just getting she's just getting flooded with with with returns. Now.
Amazon is being proactive. They've swung through to pick up
(13:07):
they but they just keep coming. So they're trying to
work it out. I was I would be like, whatever
they're on the sidewalk.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Wouldn't even be remotely helpful. I'd just be like, come
get your come get your stuff, exactly. Seriously, let's see,
I'm going to give you an update on this garbage
strike with Republic Services, which has affected at least twenty
five cities across northern California, from Stockton to uh let's
(13:37):
see where else, Elsea, Bronte, Fairfield, half Moon Bay U
supposed to be resuming today. Republic Services is advising customers
to go ahead and keep putting your trash on the curb,
put your bins out. There will be talks again today
and they're going to be notifying customers by text with
any kind of updates, crossing our fingers for the best.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
In better news, it's National Mac and Cheese Day. Does
your husband throw down a good mac and cheese?
Speaker 2 (14:05):
What do you think?
Speaker 5 (14:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (14:06):
I already know that in Hello so good. If you
need an excuse to eat some mac and cheese, today
is the day. We'll go to sports really quick. As
the Giants drop two out of three to the Dodgers
over the weekend, which is trash, but you know I'm
going to go into the All Star break in third place.
They will try to regroup. Let's go Giants, and then
your Golden State Valkyries are hosting Phoenix tonight at Chase
(14:27):
Center and some WNBA action. That'll be exciting tip off
for the ladies at seven o'clock, Let's go all out.
Bess what's best?
Speaker 3 (14:34):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Catch what's trending? Every weekday morning on the fifties that's
six fifty seven fifty AM and Connection.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Now with Marcuts and Corey Everywhere at Star one O
one three FM and at Marcus and.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Corey Well Brady from the two thousands of the nineties and
today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus and
Corey back with second Date update. Here we go.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
We're off in your dating game.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
You want to know why you can't get a second date,
and that's why we do second of Date to track
down that mystery and figure it out.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Bringing Tory on right now. Good morning, Tori. Hi, Hi,
So let's get right to it. This guy, Evan. What
I want to know is how did you guys meet
and then what did you do on your first date?
Because I'm understanding that he has absolutely disappeared.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
So yeah, So okay, we met on Hinge and we
messaged for a while, like I think it was probably
a few weeks before we met up in person. And
that was on purpose on my part because I was
trying to be really intentional about my dating, you know,
And I don't know, I just I really really vibed
(15:38):
him out before we met up, sure, and I thought
it was going to go well, and then it went
even better than I thought. We got mediterranean food in
jack London Square, and he was so compassionate and he
was so creative. He had hit poet vibes.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
Okay, you know what I mean?
Speaker 5 (15:58):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Act off the charts? Is that what you're telling me?
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Oh yeah, yeah, totally are. We were vibing together. I
just really felt like we were vibrating together, like on
a really high frequency. And he was so kind and
considerate too, and I was positive we were going to
go on a second date. But then he completely dropped out,
and I'm just at a loss about what could have happened.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
I love a creative vibe.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
I do too.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Someone with imaginations sound like very evolved adults. All right,
So yes, now he's ghosting. Uh huh, here's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Evan decides to rent a house at the beach to
relax with the summer, and just one thing after another
keeps going wrong, including crashing his small sailboat into his
landlord's big yacht. He now must compete in a regatta
to win his rental back because the landlord's like, you
gotta pay for my boat. He's like, I can't afford it.
He's like, I'm going to yank your rental. And so
right now he's fixing up his boat to prepare to
(16:55):
be in the regatta.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
He's got a lot going on.
Speaker 5 (16:57):
Oh yeah, oh my god, that would be I mean,
I would absolutely understand.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
And yeah, that would explain everything, right.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
It would, and then some.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
No idea, no idea, no summer rental, Sure candy.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Thank you, Tory. Why don't we just call him. We're
gonna call him and try to figure this all out.
Speaker 5 (17:19):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Take a deep breath. Let's reset, We'll play a song
and we will do it right after this. It's second
Date update, Star one on one three, more variety from
the two thousands than nineties. And today it's Star one
on one three. It's Marcus and Corey and we're back
with second Date Update. Obviously, we've been talking to Toy
about her date with Evan. The date was very intentional. Again,
I'll reiterate. They seemed like very evolved humans, and they
(17:41):
had a vibe well, she said. Also he had poet vibes.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
I love that, eq high, I love that.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
So are you still there? I'm here, Okay, I'm understanding
that he ghosted, So let's call him and see if
we go. I'd love to figure out what happened, but
let's try to get you a second date. Go ahead
and mute. Here we go.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Hello, I may speak with Evan. Please speak hi, Evan.
It's Marcus and Corey from Star one oh one three.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Hey, are you familiar with our morning radio show?
Speaker 6 (18:18):
Uh? No idea. Is this a telemarketing call?
Speaker 1 (18:21):
No, we do a radio show and we'd love to
have you on if you don't mind. We're doing a
dating segment. And then we got floated your phone number
by a friend of ours and she says that you
guys want on a date and that you she feels ghosted.
So I'm trying to figure out did you ghost? And
we want to try to broke her a second date.
Her name is Tory.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Now do you mind talking on the air with us
about this?
Speaker 6 (18:46):
Yeah? I wasn't expecting this, but sure, I know the.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Toy is okay. So she loved your vibe. Yes, in fact,
she said, and I quote, he's got poet vibes. She
would love to go out again. Did something happen or
like it's just busy or what's the deal?
Speaker 6 (19:04):
The she's a lovely person and I loved her energy
when we first met. Sure, but about you know, three
fourths of the way into the day, she got really
intense and uh she pulled out a napkin and a
pen and wrote out like a weird manifesto and handed
to me declaring that this is her philosophy on dating
with bullet points and a doodle of a phoenix. And uh,
(19:28):
she called it radical vulnerability. But there's just a little
bit too much for me.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Radical vulnerability, that is. Yeah, I'm actually surprised.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
If someone's going to do something like this, they wouldn't
have an already, like in a notebook, ready to present
to you rather than just doing it.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
It's probably a person, a person I don't know, not
a power point. Sure, Evan, here, here's the deal is.
So I've got toy actually listening on the phone. Yeah,
we're trying to create a teachable moment here, Tory, are
you there.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
Hi, I'm I'm here.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Yeah, okay, So.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Why did you feel the need to write down all
these things?
Speaker 5 (20:08):
I just I thought we were both adults. He could
handle this kind of transparency. That seemed like the kind
of person that he was. And I'm really tried to
check my ego during this whole process of being vulnerable.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
With each other.
Speaker 5 (20:26):
But I can't help that I'm feeling in a certain
type of way right now. I feel like I feel
like it's just raining on my parade, like I'm I
have showed him my heart and he is just trashing it.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Right, Okay, Evan, what do you think about that?
Speaker 6 (20:40):
Yeah, I guess I'm sorry, but it's just a little
bit too much and do out there for me. So
I think it's beastly part ways here, right, Okay.
Speaker 5 (20:55):
Well, there's nothing more important to me at this point
in my journey than my full devolution. So if you're
not able to meet me where I am and go
on this journey with me, then I also think it's fast.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Okay, y a mutual party was I'm impressed?
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Tom? All Right, you guys, I think we've reached a
conclusion here. Hang on, you two, hang on.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
That was a lot, Yeah, it was okay.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Second Date Update seven oh five weekday mornings. Maybe you
save it for like date three. I don't know, Ah, God,
I don't know what the replay is going to be
at nine oh five. Get the podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
You can binge listen. Uh set a pre set. Marcus
and Corey Second Date Update a variety from the two thousands,
the nineties, and today. It's Star one oh one three,
(21:40):
It's Marcus and Corey. It's Monday morning. Good morning, Good morning.
One of the angel debates should you shower in the
morning or at nighttime? And apparently there's no wrong answer.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
Oh okay, so this is about timing your showers correct
so you can get better sleep.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yes and no the article itself upon further investigation, that's
only part of the story.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Basically, showering two hours before you go to bed can
help to reset your your personal clock. It can help
you feel more relaxed, help your body regulate its temperature.
All of these things lead to a better night sleep.
That sounds positive. Yes, if you struggle to sleep at nighttime,
then a nighttime shower might be your move. Okay. Now,
(22:29):
if you would prefer to be a little bit more
chipper in the morning, a morning shower can knock out
that BedHead, get you all fired up for the day
when if you augment it with some sense, maybe some
lavender or some eucalyptus which my wife loves, that'll get
you fired up in the morning, help you stay sharper,
(22:51):
you know, focus wise during the day.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
It sounds to me like you're supposed to shower at
night and in the morning.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
That's them say it. Are you a morning or at
nighttime person, I'll do both.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Okay, you know, it just depends on if we have
like change the sheets and we've got clean bedding, yes,
I want I'm not getting in there without shower.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Oh I'm not allowed in the bed if I don't shower.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Cause I mean I won't sleep as well. If I
feel like, oh gosh, we got clean sheets, I need
my body clean. It just it depends like because sometimes,
just in complete honesty, if I have like an anxiety
night where I'm not sleeping well and I've got the
night sweats, I'm definitely showering in the morning.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Does anybody else do a little song when they do
when you have clean sheets and you get in there
for the first time and you're just like, clean sheets,
clean sheets.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
I'm never saying about my sheets. Oh man, that's a
new one on me.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Somebody else stands. There's so much joy associated with it.
And again, my wife won't let me into it. She's like, nope,
clean sheets, go take a shower exactly. I like washing
the day off of me. Yes, especially the weekend that
I had this weekend which ended up in a pool yesterday.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
That doesn't count. You still have to shower, No, I did.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
I showered last night, and then I have really short hair,
so I don't really get bedheads. So I woke up
this morning and washed my face and that was that. Yeah,
that count? Is that cool?
Speaker 2 (24:11):
As long as you feel clean, I do. As long
as you ain't stinky, well, you let me know. I
would definitely late.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
I know of all the people that would, it would
be you.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
What's that smell?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Oh that's just Marcus Marcus? All right? So nighttime shower
good for sleep, daytime morning shower is good for alertness
and sharpness at work. Depends on what There's no wrong
answer here, apparently.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Okay, so whatever you prefer, correct.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
It's time for good news with Marcus and Corey.
Speaker 6 (24:45):
Go.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
Sometimes all you need is the one a good thought
to make it a great day.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
So let's do this. It's good News on Star one one.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Three, doing good news twice in morning seven forty eight
forty and this hour brought to you by Even Company,
Luxury time Pieces, Find Designers and Flawless Diamonds. Corey, this
is gonna make you uncomfortable, but I think we're gonna
be okay. There's a woman that says chat GPT helped
her pay off twelve thousand dollars in debt and she
(25:15):
credits AI. Okay, I think, and I have to tell you,
I'm on this journey right now, and I know that
AI can be daunting and it can be scary, but
it also can be incredibly helpful.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
I am letting go of my fears only because I
can't control any of it. And it is you know,
it's like it's the way of the future.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
So the way that you would use chat chat GPT
effectively as I'm learning, as I'm watching all of these
videos and whatnot, it's more than just using it for
Google per se. You go on there and you prompt that,
and you say and you want to orient it first, like,
for example, if you're trying to get into fitness. I
literally just over the weekend was like, okay, you are
a personal trainer. You literally tell it that so that
(25:58):
it kind of knows where it's at. And then I say,
I'm your client. I'm X amount of years old, I
weigh this much. Here are my goals, here's what I'm
willing to do. Please formulate me a seven day workout
plan and boom, it'll do it. And it'll ask you
more questions. I got a workout plan, I got a
nutrition plan. That's just one example of me personally.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Now it's like your new boyfriendwhere.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Let's get back to this lady. So she went on
and said, basically, you're a financial advisor. She faced twenty
three thousand dollars in credit card debt. She challenged Chad
Gpt to give her one money making task every day
for thirty days, money naking. Hear me out. So the
AI then suggested everything from selling unused gift cards to
(26:39):
auditing old accounts, and she even hawked a watermelon online
as debt art. It went viral on TikTok, and she
actually sold it and made some money.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
What like an actual watermelon.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Don't ask me about the details. I don't know, but yes,
you know, because art is subjective.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Like the banana taped to the wall.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Correct. Somebody loved her story and bought the watermelon. She
then also found about ten grand in a forgotten brokerage account.
She cashed out some venmo, earned some side hustle income,
and she wiped out half of that debt half of
her balance in one month. Now, experts do say AI
is not a full financial plan, but she said the
(27:22):
daily prompts and this helps me too, kept her focus
until the debt was half gone.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
I mean, that's great. I'm glad we're using it for good.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
I think when you can get it down on paper
and somebody's giving you a roadmap, it's a lot easier
to do the things at any rate.
Speaker 3 (27:36):
I just I don't want my negative side to pop out,
I know, not during good news.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Wait till what's trending?
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
A small part of me is like we're gonna get
really really dumb because AI is going to do everything
for us.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Well, technology does all that for us. Just celebrate this
lady paying off half.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Way, okay, Okay, I'm happy for her.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
You can rant on AI in a few minutes. Okay. Well,
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today at
Star one on one three, Marcus and Corey about to
pop out of here. It's going to be significantly cooler
today and tomorrow than it was over the weekend. So
we have one more nice day, okay, and then tomorrow
will get a little bit cooler. That'll be nice. Jillian's
all the way next, She's got thousands of dollars of
(28:16):
the base ten k a day giveaway. Shout out to
our girl Teresa and San Jose who won a thousand dollars.
Yes she did, just for listening to the show We
Love You Dearly. She listens every morning and she just
got broken off one thousand bucks. You could be next
ten ten your next keyword. Have a great day. We'll
talk to you tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Bye.
