People's Biggest Regrets
I can't believe I admitted what I admitted...but we pull the curtain all the way back. Here are some examples.
  1. Caring too much about what people think
  2. Not saving enough money earlier in life
  3. Not exercising or taking care of their health better
  4. Staying in a relationship too long
  5. Not telling someone how they really felt
  6. Missing out on travel opportunities
  7. Spending too much on things they didn’t need
  8. Trusting the wrong person
  9. Letting friendships fade instead of fighting for them
  10. Not pursuing a different career path

Things You Should Keep To Yourself
These are the eight thoughts that psychologists say are best kept to yourself.
  1. “They/you gained weight..”
  2. “My ex was way better at this than you”
  3. “That baby isn’t cute at all”
  4. “They probably can’t afford this place”
  5. “Your parents drive me crazy”
  6. “I make way more money than you”
  7. “I don’t like your partner. You could do better.”
  8. “You’ll never guess what I heard/what so and so told me…”
Uh, duh.

Second Date Update
Monica called us about Julian. They matched on Bumble and went to dinner in Burlingame. Monica said they ordered a bottle of wine, split an appetizer, and even lingered over dessert because the conversation was flowing so well. She thought he was engaged, asking about her job and her family, and she left the date thinking Julian was genuinely interested in seeing her again. But she never heard back.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Hold on, I had some lunch. You and I hung

my nails did and I got to meet some people
from my hood, like just kind of getting to know
the neighbors.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Corey ran into my old co worker, Ashma.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
It was random because I was talking to the other
people there and she heard me say iHeart Media or
iHeart Radio and she was like, you work at iHeart Radio.
She was I used to work at iHeart Radio.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
And she was very.

Speaker 3 (00:38):

her online? I'm going she should because she's very inspirational.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
She's a poet. She reached so she's was friending me
in real time. She's not very sweet. That's great. I
love it.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
They're great. It's it's interesting to me. She's just a
really good person. Her husband's a really good person. And
then I've watched their kids grow up from babies. Now
they're like, you know, almost in college.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
She doesn't. She's got great skin, she doesn't look like
she's not not aged day.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Her name is all give her name out because she
she does a poetry thing, Ashma Sarin.

Speaker 3 (01:27):

Speaker 4 (01:29):

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I love her page already are you checking out right now?
I'm doing it in real time. She'm not listening to
you anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
She's very inspirational. Uh, I don't think I can day
drink with you anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
I think I like what to drinks?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
I think come of that age? Yeah, knocked me offline.
I went went to bed, yeah, and I was I
was going to be productive. And when I got that
text for me, like come I have a drink with me,
I was like, I can't. I want to hang out.
I think I'll just switch to diet coke or something.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
I mean, that's fine. I mean, I.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Claim I don't know what happened yo, either. I used
to be so good at it and now I'm just
like Randpa, what's going on this morning?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
So we have.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Another chance for you to pick up a gift card
for David Buster's later this morning, but more importantly, flex
your trivia skills. A lot of first time players this week,
so that's exciting for you that the base favorite trivia game.
What you know about that? We're gonna play at eight
oh five, coming up at six fifteen. I thought this
was interesting because I do have a couple, but not
many people's biggest regrets in life. I don't want to

(02:33):
bring the room down. Let's show, we're gonna, we're gonna.
I personally would like to talk about, all right, you
have a regret, how do you deal with it?

Speaker 3 (02:40):
How do you cope with it?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yes, how do you make sure it doesn't live rent
free in your head?

Speaker 3 (02:44):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
We'll talk about it at six fifteen. Oh more variety
from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's Star one,
O one three, It's Marcus and Corey.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
They'd a big survey over two thousand adults talking about
their biggest regrets in life. And I didn't bring this
up to like bring the room down so that you
can dwell and ruminate on your biggest regret. But apparently
people spend six days a year wishing they could do
blank differently.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Uh huh, there's things I would do over in high school.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
So what I'd like to know is what is your
biggest regret in life or one of them? If you
don't want to share your biggest I don't know. And
then I think I stumbled on a way to kind
of deal with it. And you can tell me if
I'm nuts or not. But I had something happen years
ago that really put it in perspective for me. So,
Corey Foley, what is your biggest regret in life?

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I don't want to be judged, and I can't believe
I'm sharing this, but I got LPO.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
That was a regret. Yeah, how long ago?

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Probably like two thousand and five.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
And now I have no.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Butt because of that.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, so you actively told them to take fat out
of your butt.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Well, this is before the big butt craze.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
This is when women were taking hoodies and wrapping them
around their waist to hide their butts.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
This took a deliciously light turn. Well, and I'm enjoyed.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
I regret it because I was young. I wish that
doctor had said to me, you're only thirty. This is
the age where you can lose weight easily.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Kim Kardashian's about to be born. You're gonna need this later.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
You're gonna want a butt and I have no butt.
I had no idea. I know, I haven't really told
a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Wow, now you told everybody.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Well, it's it's it doesn't make sharing. Well, it's not
a great way to lose weight. It's not the solution.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Thanks for being vulnerable in the moment.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Love your body. It's only when he got.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Mine is on here, so cry and I are talking
about the top ten regrets people have in life. Number one,
caring too much about what other people think.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah, that's huge.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Not exercising or taking care of your health better, that's
a big one. Staying in a relationship for too Longugh.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I remember talking to a guy who was really unhappy
in his relationship, and I'm like, why do you stay?
He's like, well, I already put two years in. I'm like,
who cares, cut bait man, get out.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I'm spending those relationships. And the thing is like, none
of us are getting any younger, so you deserve to
be happy.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I just don't understand that concept of well I already
put two years in I'm like, this is not jury duty.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
You don't have to stay the one big one for
me and I have soul searched not saving enough money
earlier in life.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Of course, we can all kick ourselves for that.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
One number of times I've cashed out my four to
one K is gross. I'd be sitting on three million
dollars right now.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I've borrowed against it, like maybe it's buying a house
or something like that, but cashing it out.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Oh if I could save anybody right now. This thing
about living below your means.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
That's valid.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Don't resist the urge to buy that new car because
the number of times that I cashed out just to
just to finance my lifestyle is terrible.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Oh yeah, oh that's not good.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Another one top ten regrets people have in life Not
telling someone how you really feel about them. Not pursuing
a different career path.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
You know, if you hate your job, your life existence
is mis I mean, I know sometimes you got to
take a job to have a job, but always try
to be searching for something that's a little more satisfying.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
When you're young, go for it, whatever it is you
have a dream, go for it, because at some point
you're going to be saddled with all kinds of responsibilities
a family or bills or whatever else. So the way
to cope, in my opinion, is frame it as when
you make a mistake that you quote unquote regret, don't

(06:29):
dwell on it. What I heard on the radio, and
I heard this as I was getting divorced, and I
was really regretting even getting in that relationship.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
They said, you know, when you.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Get a divorce, you don't necessarily love that person less.
Your life is a story, it's a novel, and this
is just one closed chapter.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yes, but it's still a piece of you. Yes.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I don't know if that helps anybody, but it helped me.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
No, I like it. All right, let's move on.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
If you want to share your biggest regret in life,
we can all kind of commiserate together. The talkback is open.
I guess that's the assignment right now. It's the little
red microphone on the iHeartRadio app. If you're streaming Star
one one three right now, what variety from the two thousands,
the nineties and today it's Star one O one three.
It's Marcus and Corey, and this is for the benefit
of that person in your friend crew who always says, man,

(07:14):
I just keep it real, man, I just tell it
how it.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Is, and then says something really stupid.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
These are things that psychologists say thoughts best kept to yourself.
Number one, telling someone that they look like they've gained weight.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Do you think that telling someone they've lost weight is
an insult as well?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
He's kind of in the vein of hey, you look
really nice today.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
I don't like that one.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
But I'm like our friend the other day court he's
lost a significant amount of weight, and I said, you're
looking very smelt.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
I think you say you're looking very fit, because that
then also denotes that he looks like he might have
put on some muscle too, okay, as opposed to just
being skinny, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:54):
God, I remember going home for Christmas one year and
my ex wife uncle threw the door open and looked
at me in the face and goes, hey you got fat, oh,
And I was like, thanks, Tito.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I remember my dad picking me up from high school
and grabbed my thigh and go and put on a little.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Weight, baby.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
See, you keep those to yourself. I've never forgotten it.
Other stuff that you should keep to yourself that feels
obvious to me, and I quote, hey, my ex was
way better at this than you are.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Why would you do that? Why don't you say, hey,
I want to have a fight right now. I was
just keeping it real. No, I'm just telling it how
it is.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Some of these are weird because it's like, would you
ever tell someone their baby isn't cute?

Speaker 1 (08:31):
That's on here, that baby isn't cute at all. I mean,
whose baby is cute? Coming right out the shoot?

Speaker 3 (08:37):
They come right out the shoot. They look like a lizard. Yeah,
very damp lizards.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Just talking about too much honesty?

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Corey.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah that's you right now.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Oh is that too much? That was your outside voice?

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Sorry?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Something else you should keep to yourself. Your parents drive
me crazy. I've never said those words.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
I adore my in laws though, so I'm very lucky.
I got lucky with my in laws. I imagine my
husband perhaps comments on my family right in not all
positive ways.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Something else. I make way more money than you.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Why would you say that?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Is that more than just at your partner? Is that
just in life in general?

Speaker 3 (09:10):
I would never say that to someone. That's dumb. That's mean.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Other things never to say, keep to yourself, I don't
like your partner, you can do better.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
The thing about that is you really don't want to
say it if they break up too, because what if
they get back together and then you're the person who
admitted you didn't like them.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
I have been in that situation where you break up
with somebody and then your friends. I'll come out of
the world work and go ahead. I never liked her
for you anyway, right and listen. That also transcends to
inanimate objects. My personal rule, life rule, you don't ever
second guess somebody's choice of car or house because they've
already committed something.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
To do about it a massive purchase.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah, there's nothing you can do with any negative thing
you say except make them feel like crap. Yes, and
there's no point right. So the only thing you say
when somebody says, hey, I got a new car. Here,
it is a new house here it is, you go,
that's great, good for congratulations? Yes, and smile yes even
though it's electric blue. And finally, you don't ever want

(10:09):
to say the words You'll never guess what I heard
or what's so and so told me?

Speaker 3 (10:13):
You're not to say that I guess not that sounds
really bad about that. I know you are.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
If you don't say off the record to Corey, best
believe it's it's gonna be in the hallway in ten seconds.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
This is the trauma that I deal with on a
daily basis. You gotten good though, you and my friend
Kim have gotten good about off the record. Off the record,
I'm like, ah.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Thoughts best kept to yourself. If you have anything to add,
I guess that's the assignment for the talk back. If
you're streaming Star one on one three right now, hit
the little red microphone, leave us some message.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Let us know what, don't talk about, what's trending on.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
What's happening in entertainment news, the biggest stories of the day,
and everything people are talking about today in the babe.
I can't I not believe that it's been twenty four
years since nine to eleven. I know that's today, and
you'll see a bunch of services happening to honor those
we lost. It's I remember I was on the air

(11:13):
till like I was doing a morning show and I
was on the air till maybe three in the afternoon. Yeah,
just covering because we just had so many questions we
didn't know what was happening and where else it was
going to happen.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Nobody knew what to do, how to handle it emotionally,
and for us, like we're in charge or we are
charged with getting the information out there. And it became
like do we play music?

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Right, are we because we're not in a news station.
But yeah, it's really crazy.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
And my sister was living in New York at the time,
and she was in Tribeca and she and her friend.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Went on the roof and just watched it all unfold.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
I mean, look, we all have knew somebody or were
personally affected, family or friends or otherwise. My friend Trina
and I just saw the post. I think about her
every year. Her sister was working in one of the
towers when.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
It got hit.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
I mean, it was it was unprecedented, and so we
do take a moment and just never forget, honestly.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
In other news this week, philanthropist Melinda Gates announced a
one hundred million dollar partnership between Pivotal Ventures and Welcome
Leap to accelerate women's health research.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
This is great.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
This will launch programs next year focusing on autoimmune disease, menopause,
mental health, and cardiovascular disease. Gates, who has long prioritized
women's health and her phil I can't.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Say that word philanthropic, philanthropy, Milton philanthropy, philanthropy's I can't
I believe it, Sprouns Philippe.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
I'm ruining this good story. She continues directing large scale
funding to under researched areas of health care, which we
appreciate very much. And Billie Eilish is teaming up with Uno.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Mattela is dropping an Uno canvas deck inspired by the singer.
The deck blends the singer's signal, blosh logo and bold
green palette with Uno design. It's available for pre sale
on Mattel Creations, a platform that the company design showcase innovation,
artistry and collicktable collaborations. You can pre order the decks
on Billy's website.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
That's I dig her and I just learned something interesting
her So. Her brother Phineas is their producer we know
this and songwriting collaborator, but he was on a video
talking about that song Birds of a Feather. You know
that kind of clicking at the beginning as it kicks in. Yeah,
that is a sound she heard crossing the street in Australia.

(13:37):
It's part of the crosswalk signs.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Oh, so they.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Recorded it and then sped it up a little bit
and made it part of the song. That's funny because
she liked it.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
I thought that was pretty neat. Speaking of songwriters and
singers that we dig, Sam Smith was in San Francisco
over the weekend and they wrote a Muni bus this
is fun through the Castro where they love it.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
So he's there.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
They are filming their new music video at the Castro Theater,
which is set to open anytime with all the renovations.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Yes, I was just talking somewhere with that yesterday.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
But he took time to meet with fans, take pictures
with people, and ride muni.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Which I thought was dope. That is awesome.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
The director of the and creator of the Hannibal TV
series wants to revive it. The only reason I bring
it up he wants to have Zendia starring as Clarise.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Did you see this? I did see this. I thought
they wanted to reboot the movies. It looks like the
TV series. It was a TV series.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Yeah, so obviously she's from Oakland, grew up in the
East Bay and he named checked her and said he
wants her as Clarice, so it would be a little busy.
We'll see what happens. Go to sports really quick, as
your forty nine ers got hit with another injury blow.
Our quarterback brock pretty going to be out two to
five weeks with what they're basically terming a form of

(15:04):
turf toe and a shoulder situation.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I really don't like that name. What's that turf turf
toe is something about it makes me uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
And then of course George Kittle is on the injured reserve.
He'll be out for six weeks.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
And then the Valkyrie's wrapping up their season tonight. And
what a season it has been. Congratulations ladies and all
the fans. Man, thank you for selling out Valhalla every
game Akachase Center. We've had a tremendous inaugural season. They
have made the playoffs. It all wraps up at five
o'clock in Minnesota. That's the tip off. Let's go Valkris Best.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Best?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (15:40):
God?

Speaker 3 (15:40):
What's trending? Every weekday morning.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
On the fifties that's six fifty seven, fifty eight fifty am.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I'm connection now with Marcus and Corey everywhere at star
Win O one three FM, and I'm Marcus and Corey.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Well variety from the two thousands, the nineties and today
Star one oh one three It's Marcus and Corey and
we are doing second data.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
You know, what's up?

Speaker 2 (16:01):
What is the hurdle with your dating life? Why aren't
you getting that second date? That's what we try to
figure out.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
You had a first date and something has happened, and
I can't, for the life of me, figure out why
someone would ghost on Monica.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
We've been talking to her off there. She seems so sweet.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
Monica, are you there?

Speaker 5 (16:18):
I am Hi.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
So let's talk about this date. Let's talk about Julian. Okay, yeah,
So how did you guys meet? And then let's run
through the first date.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
Yeah, we matched some bumble and you know, we just
went to dinner. So it's a nice I like going
to dinner. Some people don't always want to do that, but.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
We got to middle No.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Yeah, I like it. I think it gives you enough
time to really connect to somebody, you know.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Plus food, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Yeah, plus food.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Yeah. So we we got we got some wine, and
we got an appetizer and we just I think we
were having a really good time because we we even
made it to like a dessert, you know, and we
were just flowing, you know, we were just having a
great conversation. And I'm just confused because it feels like

(17:18):
he was really into it and he was asking me
all these questions, you know, was asking me about my job,
about my family, and I guess I just I left
and I thought he was like really interested in that
he wanted to see me again. But I just have
not heard back from him.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Okay, Corey, your thoughts, this is what I'm thinking.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
So he's actually like a cab driver, like an uber
driver sometimes, huh. And he's also an expert on paranoid
theories and.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Mean like conspiracy theories. Yes, okay.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
And so he actually gets captured and put through some
psychotic tests by this crazy doctor and his friends are like,
did you really get kidnapped?

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Or this is all in your head?

Speaker 4 (18:04):
I you.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
He's games. So he's okay, but we don't know if
anyone believes him. I have no idea conspiracy theory. That's it.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Yeah, it's Mel Gibson, Poor Monica's please, anybody.

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Let'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
I'm sure he's fine, let's call him. Monica, can you
hang out for a.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Song, Yes, definitely.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
We'll get to it here in a sec. We'll have
you on the line when we call him. That's next
Second Date Update Star one on one three variety from
the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's Star one
on one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing Second
Date Update right now. We've been chatting with Monica about
her date with Julian and they went to dinner in Berlin.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
Game.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yes, Julian has ghosted, so let's get him on the phone. Yeah, Monica,
you're gonna mute your phone.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Okay, okay, see if we can get our girl a
second date.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Here we go. Hello, Hi, may speak with Julian please.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
This is Julian.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Hi Julian. It's Marcus and Corey from Star one on
one three.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Hello, Hi, Hi. Do you listen to our show?

Speaker 4 (19:28):
Not a ton, but I'm aware of it.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Okay, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
We do like we're getting Jillian out of bed right now.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
I'm sorry, dude, that's okay. Have you ever heard of
Second Date Update?

Speaker 4 (19:42):
No?

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Okay, it's our dating segment and we talked to somebody
about our first date they went on, and then we
call the person they went on the date with and
get their perspective.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
In this scenario, that would be you.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
The reason being this girl thinks you might have ghosted
on or we're just trying to figure out if she
did something wrong. I wonder if you have a second
and to talk to us about your date with Monica.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Monica, Okay, what does she tell you?

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Well, she said that dinner was great. I don't know
how much you date. This is the girl you took
to dinner in Berlin, game.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
And that things.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
I remember Monica?

Speaker 1 (20:18):
Okay, she said things were swell? Is that your take?
First of all, did you ghost?

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Did I ghost?

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Sorry?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
This is a lot, but we're just trying to get
her some answers.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Yeah, I'm leaning ghost.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Okay. Can you tell us why?

Speaker 4 (20:36):
She was very sweet? Don't get me wrong. Okay, And
it might have something to do with me, but it
also might have something to do with her as well.
So I mean there's there's gradients, right, Okay? Did she
tell you that she continuously picked at my food even
though she had.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Her own plate, picked at your food? My food.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
She was like, oh, let me try your fries like
oh and like at first I could handle it, but
I grew up in a situation where I eat very slowly,
and I've always had people just come and pick up
my food when they're done, and it just, I see,
irritates the heck out of me. It triggers me to
no end.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Hands.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
I'm just going to ask if your husband would just
bite your hand off.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Jeff doesn't share food, Okay.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
Okay, was sharing food, but I also want to eat
my food. You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Is that a ghostable offense? I mean it seems kind
of minor.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
No, it was, But did she tell you that mid
date she facetimed her sister to introduce me.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
Oh no, on the first.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Date she left that out. That's a bit much. Okay.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah, So I'd like to move on to the second
part of this call, Julian. I hate to ambush you,
but so Monica is listening right now.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
That's part of.

Speaker 4 (21:58):
This Oh that's how you guys do it.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
Okay, thank you, great?

Speaker 3 (22:03):
So Monica are you there?

Speaker 5 (22:05):
I sure am. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
I almost can forgive grabbing a French fry, but facetiming
at the table Monica?

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Yeah, Well, what's that about? Aggressive.

Speaker 5 (22:16):
I mean, I don't know it. I asked every single time,
first of all, about the fries, so you could say no.
You didn't say no. I thought it was fine. But
second of all, you were. I mean, I thought we
were having a good time. You were asking me about
my family, and I was telling you about Olivia and
how like we're really close, you know, And then we

(22:39):
were just talking about her, and I was telling you
about her, and you just seem really interested in me
and my family, and I facetimed her because I just
thought that would be fine. I don't see what's like
that big of a deal about it.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
If you were, she wasn't weird?

Speaker 5 (22:53):
It fine.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Introduced people from your family to your date immediately, first
of all.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Not like going on one zillion dates. I don't know
what you're doing. But second of all, I don't think
it's that strange if you meet somebody from your date's life, Like,
is that very odd? I think it's normal, Monica.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
It's a first date. There's rules. You don't talk about politics,
you don't talk about religion, you don't introduce your sister. Oh,
I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
If you need to read books about dating, I'm not
doing that. I'm just actually like connecting with people. I
don't have like a rules in my pocket or something
like that. Julian, Look, if you can't handle meeting my family,
it might be a situation where I like, you're not
ready for dating, and that's fine.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
There is no I'm going to introduce you to my
family on the first date. It's a boundary, Monica, a boundary.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
It's not about being website.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
This is getting aggressive. I'm want to call it. Yeah
it hang on, please, I just as I got.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Really uncomfortable, mommy and daddy are fighting.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Can we just normalize not whipping out video at the
table when here at a restaurant. There's no there's no reason. No,
I think it's somebody, whether you're calling somebody, you're showing
them a video or whatever.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Save it. Enjoy your time, live in the moment. Yes,
all right, it's time for good news with Marcus and Corey.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Sometimes all you need is one a good thought to
make it a great day.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
So let's do this.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
It's good news on Star one on three.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
So we give you good news twice in morning seven
forty just to make you smile.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
I kind of love this kid.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
This is a sixth grader in Troit who goes out
of his way to bring smiles to customers in a cafe.
I love that, and maybe I'm drawn to it because
my daughter's eleven and I could totally see her doing this.
But eleven year old James Murphy volunteers his time at
the Hudson Cafe, which his mom runs in downtown Detroit,
and he goes around the restaurant, carries water and just

(24:56):
spreads positivity. That's great and literally they call him the
mascot his mom, and his mom says, he just shows
up on his own time after school, says hi to everybody,
and make sure everybody's having fun. And he makes handmade
thank you cards that's cue, which he personally delivers to

(25:16):
people dining.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
This is this is neat. I love stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
It reminded me of when my daughter was younger, maybe four,
and she said, Dad, let's go downtown and wave with people.
And we sat on the corner in downtown El Gernada,
right across from the post office and people would drive
by and she just wave it.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Everybody brightens your day.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
It's nice when kids have that need to interact with people.
When I was younger and my mom was doing a
play or a musical.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
On opening night, I would make cupcakes for all the
people in the cast. How old were you fifteen thirteen?
Just cuz yeah, I liked it so good.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's
the Star one, one three. It's Marcus and Corey time
once again for the Bay's favorite trivia game. It's called
what you Know About That.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
We've got a one hundred dollars gift card to Dave
m Busters.

Speaker 3 (26:08):

our contestants. So we take you to Redwood City and

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (26:18):

drive around Redwood City if you don't know where you're going?
Your street grade is questionable? Am I right or wrong?
You're right? Thank you? What are you doing this morning?

trivia questions, fifty seconds to answer them all. Each person
going to be asked separately. Whoever gets the most right
answers wins. If you don't know an answer, you yell out,

But this was the first time I've done this before.
