Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh my god, listen, man, this girl here. So here's
the thing. Man, Like, me and this girl have been,
you know, kind of off and off for like a
year or whatever. But you know, she she knows what
it is. Like, that's that's my heart right there. And
I'm thinking I'm hers and only hers. I get a
little tip, you know, from from a homie mind. Hey,
your girl over here Target. I'm like, what do you mean?

(00:22):
I pull up to Target? Yeah, exactly, I go over
there and she would another dude. Yes, I confront the
whole situation. I'm like, Yo, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Who's dude?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
So Brud tried to talk and I wasn't trying to
hear him. I want to be lied. My nerves were
pretty high, and security got involved. Man, you know, no
old cop situation and scene, and I haven't spoken to
her since.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
So hold on, here's the question, why do you want
this woman?

Speaker 1 (00:54):
It's like, if I have to let this go, I
need to know, I need to know something.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Why is it mirror? Is it him? Or what's up?
Because you're at that.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Pretty much like yeah, and if it's me, we're gonna
have to work this out. Like it ain't gonna be
as simple as me just coming back. If it's me,
you know it's me. I need to know what your
mom said that what you're doing. Are we gonna be serious?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Common sense would tell you if you haven't heard from
the woman, that it ain't you.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, but you know, I hear.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
What you're saying as far as maybe it just needed
time to settle down, and she's also figuring out, you know,
having the poleet and like that's a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
So all right, well let's call it what's her name?
Pretty good?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Hey, So, uh, we heard about the situation the other
day because we got a conversation going with Mitch right now.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
He's on hold.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Oh yeah, yeah, that was a lie. That was too
much actually what we're doing? Yeah, so what is he saying?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
That it's you and him?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
And he didn't expect to, you know, be going to
pick up whatever and then see you with somebody else.
Matter of fact, one of his friends is a snitch
by the way, and told him that you were there
at target or whatever with someone else. So are you
guys exclusive or not?

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Well, here's the thing, y'all. When Mitch met me, I
was pregnant, So I don't he knew that he knew
what I was dealing with. Yeah, he knew that. He
knew that I had a baby daddy. So at the
end of the day, okay, if I don't have a ring,
I mean, I'm just gonna do my thing.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
So so I clearly he had never met him before
because he thought you were just cheating or whatever the
case may be.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I'm sure you keep him separate.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Of course you have to, but that's not the point,
you know. It's more so about I told him my standards,
he agreed to it, and now he got his feelings,
so I don't I mean, that's just what it is.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Okay, Well, do you even want to talk to him?
Because I think his thing is he wants it to
be you and him only.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
So we kind of told him, like.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I mean, I would talk to him. But honestly, y'all
like that that was so embarrassing. I've never felt that
embarrassed in my life. And it just felt like so
unnecessary for him to like run up on us like that,
And yeah, it was just too much. So we'll talk,
but I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Okay, Well, Mitch, yeah I'm here.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Okay, so Diana's here, babe, you go ahead. And say
what you need to say to her.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
And let me ask you a question, d At what
point in time you told me that you was dealing
with somebody else.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
I didn't know that I needed to explain that I
was going to target with my baby's bond, Like I
didn't know that I had to do that.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Oh, that's that's your baby, daddy.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah it is. And like I said, I'm gonna keep
doing what I need to do because I'm not meant
to anybody. So we have that discussion. You agree to her,
you understood. I don't know what else you need me
to say.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
How am I supposed to put like a ring on
your finger and you over here dipping off and doing
doing your thing like that?

Speaker 4 (03:40):
I feel like it's complicated, Like we still live together,
but at the end of the day, yeah, with parents,
and we want a healthy relationship for our child.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Okay, So so check this out, man. Is it is
it me or is it him? Because right now where
I'm standing, it's really sounding like it's him.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Well, I mean, in the ideal world, it would be
both of y'all to.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Be honest, my god, bro like.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
You, but I also can't do it with somebody that's
super jealous, Like you have to understand my situation.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Super jealous.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Understand girl, you're living with the man. Mitch.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
You ran up on us in Target like we were
just getting diapers, like it wasn't even deep. And then
on top of that, I feel like you're sending people
to spy on me. That's not cool.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
I don't like that, Mitch.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
This is your conscience talking. Yeah, run the other way.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
I think you have to, Mitch, decide whether you still
want to be a part of it, because it doesn't
sound like she's done either, right, Dianah, Like you're okay.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
If he's okay, we could still hang out, but he
gotta stop wilding like that.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
Yeah much, miss, Look, I got some people I can
hook you up with, bro, Yeah, hit me on Instagram.
All right, we'll we'll go ahead and lock in at
Underscorgy business. I'm gonna connect you with somebody. I got
a couple of nice ladies for you to meet. One
of them specifically, got good job, kids free, all right,
so let me hook you up bro.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Man, I might have to do something like that.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Man, this is just crazy.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
