This New Orleans team has designed a stroke detecting smartwatch
after witnessing the lasting effects of a stroke on her grandma.
She did this as part of a STEM program. Fifteen
year old Nya Ellis developed the invention to help detect
early signs of a stroke like changes in heart rate,
oxygen levels, emotions and speech powers and she hopes to

provide an affordable solution to help those at risk of
a stroke. Wow, there's a future Nobel Prize winner there.
