I'll tell you what Kirk uh I know.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
I'm from Marion County and I know Marion Harding they've
got a great band. But Upper Sandusky they're they're the
pride of this county. It's far as band just quality.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
I mean, I want to run.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Through a brick wall or at least around a mile.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
I'm a run a mile in a long time, Kirk,
And I mean I'm energizing.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
You're ready to go the grooving Mann. It's awesome.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
You know, the energy.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
You could just feel the energy around because there's a
lot of things going on. You got senior night, you
got an awesome band, bringing the bringing the pain, right,
but then you've got you got a little cheer and
look at all.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
These little kids.

Speaker 6 (05:40):
You know, you talk about legacy and you know, senior
Nights and everything else.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
This is the.

Speaker 6 (05:45):
Legacy of seeing kids want to participate and just be
a part of this environment.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
It's great and it's just one more thing, you know.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
It kind of hit me as the uh as the
flag was going across the field. We're in We're obviously
some and some pretty contentious times, right, I mean, it's
election season, right, but it just reminded me, you know,
baseball may maybe America's pastime.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Love football is.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
A great unifier of America, interestingly enough. And I mean
Democrats love football, Republicans love football, you know, and know
like everyone just enjoys this. It's a great atmosphere in
sports and music. There's only a few things that really
can do that in America anymore. And it's just great
to be a part of this, especially Friday night. Perfect
weather and Ohio fields, great ass walking around, nothing sloppy.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
It's gonna be a great night.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yes, I have the feeling it will be as well.
I like that a great unifier that is football. Hev
Rams come out onto the field getting ready to put
on a shot hole in front of these fans, and
we are so glad that we get to be.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Able to witness it.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
So here we are as we were Week ten, another
regular season high school football.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
On this twenty fifth of October.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Here Atupper Sandusky to the Rams hosting the Buckeye Central Bucks.
The visiting Bucks arriving here from b Washington, Crawford County
with a record of two and seven, coming off a
home loss to Wentford thirty two to twenty one. The
Rams entered dice contest in our home field in Epper Sandusky,
Windie County, with a four and five mark, coming off

(07:29):
a twenty eight to fourteen road loss to Colonel for Wafford.
Both teams are members of the Northern Ten Athletic Conference.
The head coach for Buckeye Central is Jordan Phillips in
its first season. The hc for per Sandusky is Russell
Hall in his seventh. He previously served as an assistant
coach for a decade. Buckeye Central players are dressed in
their road white uniforms designed with scarlett and gray, and

(07:52):
Up Sandusky players wearing their home black unis featuring the
orange and black. We do know that BC, you won
the toss, chose to receive, so up for Sandusky will
kick first and defend the south goal, which from our
broadcast perspective is to our right. So just about forty
four seconds until we get the opening kick.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
And don't forget there's other colors being worn tonight too.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Oh okay, boat night, Yeah, yeah, tell us about it.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
Yeah, Persandsky going with the October pink right in honor
of breast cancer awareness. And I was actually down the
field and I heard the coaches talking about h how
they were talking with the rafts, and they said, you know,
watch the eye black, you know, and you can't have
to be on both sides. It can't be something that
sticks out right, so uh and the coach was like,
Coach Ill was like, I mean, what am I supposed

(08:44):
to do?

Speaker 5 (08:44):
This is breast cancer awareness?

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Like this supposed to be a very good cause, right, Absolutely.
I think you kind of turn a blind eye to
some things for the honor of what it stands for.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
So and sometimes when both coaches agree to it, there
are some allowances that can be made.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Right yep.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Absolutely, wow, we do know last season's meeting. It was
quite a battle. What for Sandusky did defeat BC in
New Washington forty eight to forty two. So yeah, could
be another close one tonight in game time, temperat sixty
three degrees as we're ready for o hostate University at
mary and kick golf man here we go or underway

(09:22):
Buck guy to return it from the twelve yard line
as Caton goes to the left side across the thirty yard.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Line, kick Jarvis.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
So all right, we'll see what's Jack Phillips and the
Buckeye Central Bucks can't do with their first driving this game.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
Yeah, so coming right out the gate, you know, that
great kickoff, very flat, but it served a great purpose.
One hot and picked it up and nothing really happened,
and that Persideski made a great stop. So they're starting
here from the thirty one yard line and there's not
really any It's a wind kind of comes and goes.
So it's been it's been interesting. We'll see if the

(10:01):
wind picks up. You know, we're talking about the possibility
of a front coming through with rain and such, but.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
That's see it all right, So first it did thirty
win yard on fart side Hash and the snapping, the
fake and a pass out to Alec Phillips and gets spun.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Down near the forty yard line.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
So that combination of Jack and Alec, We're gonna see
that all night long.

Speaker 6 (10:23):
The twin brothers, Yeah, old, yeah, you know they probably
throw football in their sleep, you know, probably from a
bunk bed from one bunk bed, you know, down to the.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Other one up.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
But correct, it's right out of the shotguns. Just what
they said they would do. Short kind of passes, very
West Coast offense, looking so.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Far second down then three from the thirty eighty yard line.
But guy center with the ball first drive of this game,
knows core in the quarterback Jack Philip tells us snap
hands off the left side to Bogner and he runs
hard towards a forty five yard line that comes up
with Matthew's Hondahakira first town for the Bucks.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
Yeah, great off tackle and they had trips on the
left hand side, so definitely utilizing not only the number
of blockers been dosed towards the large side.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Of the field.

Speaker 5 (11:08):
So great call for BC to get that first down.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Seek Bald went in on that tackle for or upper
saying dusky.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
So the ball plays at the forty five yard line
far side Hash moving left right from our perspective. First
and ten fourth, the bucks noseclore it's time with a pistol,
looked Jack Phillips.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
The quarterback has it.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Waist high, hands it off again to Buner and he
runs across the forty five yards line. But I'm not
sure that he even got a full yard. No, they
just stopping right a lot line.

Speaker 7 (11:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
Upper did a great job closing gaps, and BC tried to,
you know, try it twice, see if the lightning would
strike twice running the ball, but running up the a gaps.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Upper wasn't having any of that.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Brings on second and ten, forty five yard line.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
BC with the whole again with a pistol.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Here where Jack Phillips has the snap, looks to us
right near side, caught by Hunter Caddable across the forty
five and then smashed down side of midfields are multiple
over there, including Ethan Lewis.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
Yeah, great catch by Coddle making it on the run.
Just kind of cut in it.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Man.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
He got hit pretty hard there. But so we're on
our side of the field, right on the hash line.
But you know, it's gonna be interesting to see if
Upper kind of starts sneaking up. I saw them making
differences in their coverage and who's covering who just really
walking in. So we're gonna see if Upper is gonna
start taking chances here and maybe potentially jumping on some

(12:43):
of this short stuff.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Third and six, forty nine yard line. Two receivers, near
side formation, quarterback Jack Phillips and the god still not score.
He's got the snap, hands it off left side of
blue and field. Corpin drives and finds of space. Cosspitfield
five yard life forty let skip through until thirty five
thirty head and brought down inside the twenty five yard line.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Corman Bloomfield with a nice run. Yeah, wide receiver and
around man. That was a good call at the right time. Again,
running to the open side of the field. Upper Sandusky
common little bit off guard there they were. They were
in soft coverage and that just allowed the blockers to
stop block even further down the field and has a

(13:27):
great run giving BC. Now they're they're starting to snow
a little bit of the red zone.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
There, Kirk, Yes, they are.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Matthew Hanaker first down first hand ten twenty four yard line.
But guy central with the ball. That was an excellent
play there from blue field. Here's Jack Phillips from the
gun as the snap takes off and runs it himself
left side and waits for some blockers and takes it
across the twenty five and it's like he gets stopped
at the twenty four.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
That looks like where they were market. It's so yep, Phillips.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Phillips again not only great passer, but a good runner too.
Trying to gain a couple of yards. They're trying to
make some sort of positive happen for BC. Nothing too much,
just a little bit, but anything is better right now,
you know the whole end around thing. You know, some
coaches say, oh, if you're doing trick plays like that,
they'd consider a trick play.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
They must be desperate.

Speaker 5 (14:18):
No, man, you just give your athletes the ball and
they make the play.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
So DC's sitting here, second down, they're still in good position.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Yes, I've got a few inches out of there. Tho,
second down, twenty four yard line. Jack Phillipsah, he's definitely
one of those athletes. When the flag comes out, see.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
What the calling are?

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Good ball also got a false startz.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
You know, when you don't get anything really on your
first down. Man, the worst thing you can do right
there is make a penalty, and now you're second. At
least if it's second and ten, you can still try
and get a positive play four or five yards and
still put yourself in a position. But man, second down
and fifteen, that's pretty brutal. That's pretty hard to overcome.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Second fifteen. Yes, from the twenty nine yard line. Buckeye
who are with the ball. First drive of this game.
Jack Phillips has the snap. All the pressure is coming
up Kale Vince trying to get at him, and he's
able to throw it release into a bloomfield to get
on the near side, takes it across the twenty five
before he's knocked out. Abound Ethan was over there along

(15:19):
with Brody Cox Rupper sand Dusky.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Oh, he was under some serious heat right there, under pressure.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
And that's what we're talking about.

Speaker 6 (15:25):
See if upper starts to jump stuff, either by route
or by blitz. They got through that line and uh again,
they were running stuff to that trip's side of the field,
so they've been running towards the heavy side. Nothing really
unintentionally or intentionally deceptive. Necessarily, they're playing it pretty straight
so far.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
In Upper Sandusky they almost got to third and eleven
from the twenty five yard line, and upper territory is
Buckeye central cornerback Jack Phillips, I'm like God, has the snap,
steps back, throws it and off the right hand of
Cuddle near the twenty two incomplete.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
He yas heete there from Schaeffer by Epperson, Dusky really
getting in his face, Philip's face, and you know the
receiver is open in the flask, but he just could
not see over Schaeffer and so making it real difficult
to make that short little pass. And Bucks they really
live off that stuff and that's what sets the table
for everything.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Else so far.

Speaker 6 (16:19):
And if you don't get that, you're stuck with where
we are right now, fourth and eleven and you kind
of have.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
To go for it.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah, exactly right, five yard lot. See what they come
up with here, Jack Phillips. The corner back trips to
the left, he has a snap, back pedals with the ball,
steps in, throws it up Ben that what's incomplete that time?
Looking for Jarvis, Oh great and get it.

Speaker 6 (16:42):
Great job by Phillips, so he moved up in that
pocket was starting to surround him.

Speaker 2 (16:46):
He moved up and he was able to stay behind
the line of scrimmage. Just didn't connect with the receiver.

Speaker 6 (16:52):
And again you kind of have to go for on
fourth down your ivison not gonna punt right in that
kind of situation. But nice job by Philips, just couldn't
not connect with their Really Upper Sandusky got a little
bit lucky.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Their safeties were not really clear before.

Speaker 6 (17:05):
That snap of who his guard new, so Upper Sandusky
kind of sweat one out there and got a little bit.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Lucky well with the turnover on downs his first and ten.
Upper Sandusky the Rams first driving this game. With eight
forty eight to go at the first quarter, at the
quarterback Justin Hollman. He takes us sampans it off to
Ethan Lewis, picks his way across the thirty yard line.
Those across the thirty five cut down side of the
forty Ethan Lewis. He has been an impressive player. We

(17:33):
talked about his defense, but he's also strong running the
poll on offense.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
Yeah, that was a great run there, obviously, but even
better was the block coming from the strong side.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
I came to see who it was necessarily, but I
know Nathan Lewis is in aspar right now. They came
in and they just create a huge gap.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Nice job blocking Matthew time to agra first down as
we get the verse in ten and they handed off here.
Ethan Lewis cuts across the forty yard line and then
goes right into Kalay on that tackle. Bason Kalay is
a hard hitter for buck Guy Central, but Eathan Little,
he'll hit him back.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 6 (18:11):
I you know, it's upper seems pretty notorious, you know,
pistol kind of rpo. But they've really come in with
the run here, really hard, just smash mouth football.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
He's first coup of plays second and two, forty seven
yard line, middle of the heels, set up snap back
to doesn't Holman hands it off Lewis Here he comes
cross midfield forty five yard line, bounds outside forty, heads
to the thirty five, going to the thirty twenty five
twenty before finally locked out of bounds by Donnie Fordster.
I tell you, oh my god, yeah, great run and
again it's all blocking online. You just see them straight

(18:43):
off to the left and they're just getting they're just
taking right to Buckeye Central.

Speaker 5 (18:48):
And but that's what I talked about the beginning of
the game, right.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
They had to take advantage of Buckeye Central's line and size.
They have size, but just not maybe the athleticism. And
they're just taking advantage right now.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Hupper's on the move.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Matthew's ondacer first down there for some ten twenty two
yard line again under stap handing back that Ethan Lewis.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
It's working.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
Here comes Horst Hurler throw them and gets knocked down
inside the five. Another huge game, that time Bloomfield with
a tackle that was a touchdown saving tap goal four.

Speaker 6 (19:19):
Corman Bloomfield just dashing right through the defense. It's a
it's almost too easy to get into the second level
and those linebackers you're just not equipped size.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Whyse to stop that kind of runner first and goal
from the four.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
I'd be surprised if they go anywhere other than Lewis
snap it well, man, they are going a different direction.
It was he say Abel to get the touchdown out
of surprise the Kale fence.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
I did not see that coming. Nice play.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
That's a that's the kind of foe drawn up in
a NC double A.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
You're mad and you're like, oh that might work.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Four yard touchdown, run Kale. It's brought to you by
the Central Hollo Farmers co Op.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
I was talking to Cale earlier this week. He was
really relaxed and focused and certainly excited about this game.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
He didn't tell me he was going to do that, right.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
And you know, well, quarterback runs up to the line
like he You think, oh, he's gonna try and sneak
that in.

Speaker 5 (20:15):
No, he hand that off. Yes, man, great play.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
Kobe Biblet is able to knock in the extra point
with his left foot. So on our Wilson Tyre scoreboard,
it is up Ver Sandusky seven and Buckeye Central still
at zero seven nineteen to go in the first quarter.
So glad you're with us. Far Matthews hot to ach
her right. Game of the week. I'm MAATGIC ninety five
to nine and dieheart Radio.

Camps keeps you on top of pop culture.

Speaker 12 (21:44):
While Hoole icon Bruce Campbell may have hung up his
chainsaw on the live action role of Evil Dad's Ash Williams,
the character may not be gone for much longer. Campbell
announced that an animated version of the franchises in development,
noting to Entertainment Weekly quote, I'll do ash his voice
all day long because my voice hasn't aged as much
as I have. The cultit horror comedy mashup franchise officially
began with the nineteen eighty one film The Evil Dead,

(22:05):
continuing through nineteen ninety two with the sequels Evil Dead
two an Army of Darkness originally titled Medieval Dead.

Speaker 11 (22:11):
A movie reboot was released in twenty.

Speaker 12 (22:13):
Thirteen under the title Evil Dead, and Campbell starred in
a live action TV series continuation Ash Versus Evil Dead
from twenty fifteen through twenty eighteen. A fifth film, The
Bruce Campbell's Evil Dead Rise, was released last year. No
platform or timetable for the possible Evil Dead animated series
was announced. All right, and that's what's popping on camps
on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 13 (22:35):
The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Yes, we had Kobe Battle Cheese, but the Ohause of
University of Marion kickoff and.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Return it from the seventh to the twenty sixth.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
So here we go Buck Guy since with the ball
ten and Austin Bugner the ball carrier once again for
Buck Guy Central. Maybe got a yard that's what Yeah,
Patchi's made.

Speaker 6 (23:03):
A great kick on that, by the way, great line
draft kick and great gang tackling there on that run.
H Yeah, Buckeye again running to the open side of
the field. Great play, but that upper speed that pursuit
just just too much and they are on that and
it looks like uppers closing those doors.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Second and a twenty eight yard line buckuy Central trailer
gets seven to nothing. The one in motion that does
parksidons and a quarterback Phillips has the snap, goes to
the near side to the under Phillips has is Alex
uses the stiff arm to get away from one and
then gets across the forty the yard line. So that
is if he's on the ackera first down for a
buck tie Central. We talked about it, the Jack Phillips

(23:45):
to Alec Phillips connection.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
It worked well right there.

Speaker 6 (23:48):
Alex Phillips extended that play on his own using some
great strength boy, great stiff arm there in resiliency, and
that is exactly what the doctor ordered for Buckeye.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
They've got it. You know.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
It's easy to think, oh man up or just random
ball down us and we're down seven up Buck guy's
not quitting. They're coming out and they're still swinging.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
A nice job.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
First sent ten, forty three yard line in our own territory.
But guy, he's central Jack Phillips. With a snap, he
immediately moves to the left. He had some good blocking.
But now it starts to break down. But he's able
to get away from me, from the moist and from
a white mouser, and he keeps up running to the
left side and us turn.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Out of bounds by Ezekiel Baldwin.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
But that was showing his legs right there and picking
up the first down brought to.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
You by Matthew's on to acer run. Wow, that is.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
Why he's so dangerous, right, He's now you gotta protect
him too, right, But that's why it's so dangerous. The
best thing he did there, he ran off to the left,
followed his blockers and was patient. If he would have
just run just to run, he would he would have
maybe gotten.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Three or four yards.

Speaker 6 (24:46):
He was patient, cool, let the blocks set up, and
he followed his blockers.

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Gain a nice game. Starting on the forty two yard
line in upper territory.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
There it is first ten ten. Yeah, you said forty
two yard lives or side hash but Guy Central trailing
against seven to nothing with six old night to go
in the first quarter, Tack Phillips has a snap and
then hands it off to Austin Bogner and the freshman
able to roll through to the forty pick up a
two yards for BOGNERA.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Bogner's not a freshman anymore, right.

Speaker 6 (25:16):
Week ten, You're right ten, you're not a freshman with
you and and he's doing a great job. He followed
the walks, follow the line, got positive yardage at this
kind of pace. You know, if you know upper just
ran down right your throats, then you gotta maybe take
possession and really take care of the ball. Buck Guy's
doing that. Run the ball successfully. That's what they need.

(25:37):
That's what they're doing.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Second and eight from the forty yard lineing up our territory,
Buck Eye Central down that one touchdowl. That's Jack Phillips
has the snap, rolls to the right and he's got
the blocker from Bogner. Phillips takes the offt tackle from behind.
Parker Mouser along with Ethan Lewis and a couple of
other rams helping. They're in a thirty yard h most importantly,
you're setting it up for third and short. Remember I

(26:01):
said one of the keys of the game for Buckeye
move the ball on the ground.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
Whatever that looks like. However, that looks like you gotta
be able to move the ball on the ground. And
that's what they're doing and they get the first take
out the first down.

Speaker 14 (26:13):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Wow, how about that?

Speaker 6 (26:15):
Well, So see you're looking at this thinking, okay, if
we're moving the ball on the ground and we can
take care of the ball, move the ball on our
clock our terms. Teams do that very well and successfully. Right,
the best defense is a good offense too.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Matthew's had to act for a first down thirty two
yard line, but guy hit with the ball in upper
territory down with the touchdown. The cornerback Jack Phillips, has
a snap, works it quickly out to blooting field cuts insides.
Corbin gets away from one but then gets hammered from
behind there by Hill J. Johnson Trupper San Dusky here
the twenty six yard line.

Speaker 6 (26:49):
That was the strangest tunnel screen I've ever seen in
my life. It almost looked like it was a single
wide receiver screen. But he jetted in at forty five
and it was is so unorthodox it worked.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Right, Like, what do we do? We haven't seen this one, right.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
So somehow that worked out for him.

Speaker 6 (27:08):
But yeah, making it short or second and attainable, right,
you have all sorts of.

Speaker 15 (27:12):
Options now second five and twenty seven yard live by
ky hundred with the ball in this first quarter down
seven to nothing, the quarterback Jack Phillip says, just that
hands it off their Corman Bloomfield running to the left side,
trying to get away from Johnson this time, and does,
but there are other rams over there in pursuit to
stop him.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Shy of the twenty five yards high.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Yeah, trying to keep those legs moving didn't really gain
anything necessarily. And you know, Buckeye hasn't been particularly deceitful
and how they're running and moving and pulling guards or anything.
They're not doing that. They're just playing straight up and
just moving towards the sides. But you know, it's still
third and short. There's still plenty of options, especially Buckeye

(27:49):
the way they pass and run shorter routes. That's just
still a very easy play that they can make first
down and it will go for on fourth down if
they don't have enough, were.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Going to have to go with this first quarter five
twenty seven yard live Bluck Guy Central trying to answer
the Upper score down seven to nothing, and they've shown
that they've got some options. They have really been working
on this offense. We sell a lot of that from
the Winford game and here we are. So here's a
snap back. What happened?

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Oh we get a time out, so Buck Guy call
for the.

Speaker 1 (28:21):

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Back to a person at Dusky where Buckeye Central trails
at seven to nothing three a weight to go. First quarter.
We're looking at a third and five for the Bucks
twenty seven yard line hit up per territory and the
quarterback Jack Phillips was working how the pistol sends. Conland
motion has the snapwaist high. He looks to the right
and then comes it's oh and the rows under pers

(29:56):
picked off. Then I was taking by Martinez. He is
a crowfo thirty yard line. Max Martinez hasn't And unfortunately
Jack Phillips looks like he might be hurt.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
And he's down.

Speaker 5 (30:07):
He's getting up.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
He is getting up fortunately, So, uh, you definitely want
him to be okay, But uh want to play by
Martinez an Dusky.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Whether by feelings or by body, something's hurt.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Yeah, So indeed, yeah I get it.

Speaker 6 (30:22):
You know BC that time they took their inside receiver
on the trips ran across seeing what the reeds were
and they didn't necessarily have a bad play. Phillips moved
up in the pocket. Man he just I think he
just kind of panicked and threw a ball up in
a prayer, hit a soft pick off Forepper, and now
they're back in business running almost hit the.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Thirty five, first of ten thirty three yard line as
we got with Justin Hollman the pass over to the
far side.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Oh, not much doing there.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Alex Phillips able to make that tackle of Caleb Phillips.
So should know Max Martinez with that pick, that's his
first of the season, coming up with that premire on
toometry group turnover for the Rams. We know he's a
heck of a receiver. But on defense, oh, he was getting.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
You know it.

Speaker 6 (31:09):
And the thing is he caught that and he had
three or four guys they were blocking right in front
of Oh yeah, he was salivating and just the Buckeye
made that great stop to keep it from going further.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Second to nine, three four yard line, a step back
to Hollman and then give it to Ethan Lewis and
he's fighting three tacklers.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Gets a call from forty five yard.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Line and fortunately for Buck guy central Colin Perry was
holding on for dear life to bring him down. But
that is a Matthew's Hondakira first down, four Percentusky.

Speaker 6 (31:38):
Hey man, if it ain't broke, you don't fix it.
And that is exactly there. This is no hidden trick anymore.
Their idea tonight is smash mouth football, wear a buck
eye down and get out of this game.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Versus ten, forty six yard line in their own territory, presenter,
just give the ball. Yep, they go right back to
Weathan Lewis picks his way to the right side and
then brought down by Matthew He and Colin Perry for
Buckeye Central. But again, it's all working here for Upper Sandusky.
Matthew's Honda Acurra first down to the forty one yard line.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
But guy Terratory, I have not seen.

Speaker 6 (32:13):
Anything bad offensively from Upper It's just all been very simple,
nice runs. Whether it's off tackle, whether it's a B
gap is it's all working.

Speaker 5 (32:23):
Everything's working for Upper One.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Then have to go until the end of the first quarter.
First and ten snaps back to Justin Hellman, fakes a handoff,
throws over the middle, come by Francis hold a run
gets away up two to the defenders and Calo Cransis
there's that to the ins all for forty one yard
to town Place.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
He's inside slammed And I mean, dads, that's perfectly in
stride to Francis, who catches that and air ain't no
one gonna catch him as a perfectly thrown and ball
did not even have to stop or slow down right
and stride.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
You can't stop that. Even with the speed of.

Speaker 6 (32:58):
BC has in their secondary, they weren't going to stop that.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Nice job touchdown brought to you by the Central Ohio
Farmers co Op. Yeah, forty one yards on that play.
As we get the point after here Kobe bottle Cheese

Speaker 2 (33:15):

Speaker 1 (33:16):

Speaker 6 (34:47):
And Condle just kind of look like he's trying to cut.
He just slipped and fell down. Yeah, the field didn't
really see that bad at when I was walking around
out there, didn't see Muney anywhere.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
Maybe maybe two cleats. It's week ten.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Yeah, he's been workings.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
But here we are.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
Buck Eye is coming in here.

Speaker 6 (35:08):
They they know, hey, we've gotten the ball down deep
in their territory. They've got to do something here, especially
the way that the defense has just been hemorrhaging yards.
I mean, Upper has been averaging double digits per play,
so they Upper or BC really kind of feels like
they have to go down here and do something.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
First a ten twenty yard line as they get the
nap and handed off and uh yeah, there's nothing cooking
right there or just stopped right there or on the
uh line of scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, there's has a half back dive and there're one
much two dive.

Speaker 6 (35:39):
Yeah, the one much dive to that the uh upper again,
they're really clotting that line. What's been successful for Buck
guy is getting outside your sea gaps, getting in your holes,
getting in your wide spots. Let those athletes block on
the outside. You got speed out there. Let him get
down and make downhill blocks and get some yards.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Second and nine, twenty one yard line, forty seconds left,
first quarter down, two scores by c central pass up
and incomplete looking tourcaded sharpest on a near side and
we saw Brody Cox and Parkner Mouser over there on
defense from persond Dusty.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
Yeah, great individual play by partner Mouser knocking that away.
Is just two double out routes and he was going
with the deeper out of the two, and Mauser just
made a nice play knocking that out. And uh again,
third and long. This is not where you want to
be if you're Bucky. This is a tough spot to be.
So if you have a golden play, this might be

(36:36):
the time to run it.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
Go forward.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Yes, with thirty seconds left of the first quarner, let's
see third down of nine. Here we go, quarterback has
it here. Jack Phillips corks over the.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Bidding pick off by Brody Cox.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
Here he come the other direction and he's wrapped up
by Matthew Heafner. The stuff one would have been an
even cord crucial game. But yes, that's the second pig
there for hum Per sand Dusty with the premiere top
of your group turnover.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
What is going on?

Speaker 6 (37:02):
I'm not sure. I don't know who he's sewing that to.
What he was seeing. That was five yards behind now Phillips,
who's running across the field. He's just running an in
That's all he was doing. And that was five yards
behind him, and I think Phillips he even.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
Kind of turned around, was like where you are You're throwing.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
That name to me. I don't know what happened there.

Speaker 6 (37:23):
That's a tough interception, but you gotta have your defense
step up right now after your Buckeye.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
First an eighteen yard line in the red zone, Uper
sent Dusky already up fourteen to nothing. They snapping back
handed off Ethan Lewis bounces to the outside and cuts
through the middle and then forms through a couple of
tacklers and finally.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Stops by Isaac Parkson.

Speaker 6 (37:40):
Yeah, great job there by Dylan hating her for Buckeye
cutting in there, getting in the backfield quickly just to
slow down the running back, just to slow him down
for a couple of steps. Let the rest of the
defense come in and make him play that's in it
limited upper. I mean yeah, they got three or four yards.

(38:01):
That's better than it'spend ten plus.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
There you go. Well, that does end the first corner.

kind of tossed him in the back and initially Francis
was gonna just pass it back out to Heilman and
then saw hey.

He just moved it the whole way that he is

Speaker 6 (41:38):
Oh, she's just hard line draft shot and now just
a line draft could have been ten yards above the ground.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
And a Corbyn bloomfield.

Speaker 6 (41:46):
You have jumped up a little bit like, no, I'm
not gonna even try and touch that. But here's the thing,
Buckuy's coming out here. Upper there just there. We'll just
call how it is. They've been dominating. They've been dominating
the first or first quarter. Buckeye is no longer in
a oh you can score and stand it. They've got
to score here the way that Upper has been moving

(42:08):
the ball offensively. So there's a lot of pressure right
now in Buckeye to move the ball offensively and.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Try and get a touchdown to keep up first A
ten twenty yard line yes down by the three scorers
stepping back to Dack Phillips. Did it up to Alec Phillips, Ah, yes,
and he gets wrapped up and brought down.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Just really no room here.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
As Nathan Lewis was in there on that tackle for
Upper San Dusky along with L. J.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Johnson. It was not not good blocking. And here's a fool.
I see that.

Speaker 6 (42:36):
There'll be a penny flag on Alex Phillips. His helmet
came off, so he had to leave. He had to
leave the field, and I think he had something to
say about that.

Speaker 5 (42:47):
And that's the frustration I was talking to ye.

Speaker 6 (42:49):
I was talking to one of the coaches before the
game for Buckeye, and he said, we don't want our
guys to get frustrated if we get down early. You know,
we we just that's when we're at our worst. And
right there, that's where it's at the worst, because you're
not hoping your team and now you're in second and forever, Uh,
you're in second and Marion now and that's that's just

(43:11):
that's that's really hard for your offense to be putting
that spot and you know up or they're they're they're confident.
Now they're like a peacock walking around their feathers out.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
Tell me about it.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Yeah, Oh my god. So second down twenty one from
their own nine yard line. Still first been at the
second quarter and trailer get twenty one and nothing gets
by Central. Another quarterback has the snap ed Jack Phillips
all back at his own end zone and then he
tiptoes out of it under pressure.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Oh and then he gets tackled around the five yard lie.
Nowhere to go.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
The Rams were there is Brody Cox along with Reese Ward.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
For the Rams getting him on the field.

Speaker 6 (43:48):
Great push by the Upper Sandusky interior defense really getting
in the face.

Speaker 5 (43:53):
Phillips. They're forcing him out of the pocket and in great.

Speaker 6 (43:56):
Pursuit by the second level to get to him. And
there was it was still great block, but it was close.
We're close to that end zone. If you hold in
the end zone, that's a safety. So Upper's really putting
the pressure on Buckeye here. It's not just a field position.
It could be if there's a pilly in the backfield

(44:17):
and what could happen.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Yeah, it's third and twenty four from the sixty yard line.
Buckeye Central down twenty one to nothing. In the second quarter.
Step is back had Phillips just going right and left
and right and down near the nine yard line. The
Nate lewis over there on the tackle.

Speaker 6 (44:35):
Four yep spread quarterback, spread quarterback, keep all the way.
This time you had twins on each side, more spread out,
just trying to spread the defense out and see if.

Speaker 2 (44:45):
You can hit a hole.

Speaker 6 (44:46):
Just trying to get a couple of yards, getting yourself
a little breathing space to punt here. So not necessarily
a bad call, it's a conservative call, but under circumstances,
I can understand that. So Buck here, they're getting ready
to punt. The ball stand right in.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
The middle of the end zone.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
Yes, we get Kayden Jarvis real two U pun and
away with his right foot.

Speaker 2 (45:08):
That's pretty good. But it doesn't go far.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
Yeah, it does take an upper bounce right toward a
thirty yard line and then ultimately stopped by Hunter Caddle
for the Bucks.

Speaker 6 (45:19):
Took a bounce backward and took a bounce forward. So
we saw everything there. No bit, not necessarily the best punt,
but it was. It wasn't necessarily the longest punt, but
it was to a nice open death spot where no
one was going to get the ball. So if you're
looking at positives. That has a great thing. But here

(45:39):
we are, I mean you're starting defensively, you're starting to
battle here and there simply on the thirty yard line.
Thirty one yard line and upper is already in a
good scoring position. You got you've got to buckle up
here if your buckeye, if.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
You want to stay in this first as a thirty
one yard line let's see has off the staff handing
it off Ethan Lewis City outside stays within the numbers,
tackled inside the twenty yard line, shy of the fifteen
that's been down by Isaac Parsons blocking. Oh, you're right, holding, Yeah,
it was it was more of a block in.

Speaker 5 (46:13):
The back there on Brody Cox.

Speaker 6 (46:17):
So just scoring a touchdown not too long ago, but
committing a penalty there. Yeah, it was more of a
block in the back, and that's what he was kind
of trying to play kate to his coach.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Like I didn't do anything that but but you know
it was you're disputing the ruling.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
The penalty is a penalty. Shit, it's all adds up
the Saints.

Speaker 6 (46:36):
Yeah, but it's more of a block in the back
than anything else. But yeah, it's that's now you know,
that's the kind of stuff where buck Ey's gout use
that to their advantage. Okay, Upper is now starring a
little bit behind the ropes.

Speaker 1 (46:50):
First of twenty forty one yards lode, still a buck
Guy territory. Snapens back Justin Hollman hands it off to
the right side.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
At this time, it's Caden.

Speaker 1 (46:58):
Vocal on the running vocal able to take it to
the twenty five.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
Were like Moses in the Red Sea.

Speaker 6 (47:05):
Man, he's just cutting it and it just opens up,
and he's got all sorts of running room. Hey, if
you're Upper right now again, you.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Know what I would do, Kirk, Yeah, running over and
over and over?

Speaker 6 (47:18):
Why not until they stop it exactly because it's you're
saving so many people from running the ball.

Speaker 2 (47:24):
Just keep running. Second and four front of twenty five
yard line.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
Snappens back Justin Hollman and he sits it down towards
a field pick four. Martina's high up in the air. Hey,
the catches faith and the ends up for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Man, Well, that is one of the best catches we've
seen all season.

Speaker 6 (47:41):
Right there, Hyoman just hung that up in the air
and the receiver justin came right back to the ball
catch at the highest point. I mean, that is exactly
what they tell you and teach you and practice and
executed perfectly for the Upper Sandeski Rams and giving them
really potential man lead of he ain't nothing coming here.

Speaker 2 (48:03):
Oh, set up, they're setting. Oh oh, and then we
get the flags trying to be cute touchdown brought to
you by the Central Hile Farmers co Op. Yeah, they
call that legal receiver. Oh my word, the old Oregon
two point conversion.

Speaker 6 (48:17):
So those of you are listening, it's it's the two
point extra point where they they're disperse their.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Line or to the left hand side.

Speaker 6 (48:25):
Uh, just trying to catch the defense off and they
ran up trying to be cute with it, and everyone.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
Jumped off on the left hand side.

Speaker 6 (48:34):
So they're going for the extra point now, Yeah, a longer,
slightly longer.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
Version twenty five yard an extra.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Point there for Cobyl Kobe Batyaltees and yeah, that's no
problem for him.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
He's got on him.

Speaker 6 (48:47):
He does got the big boy, big foot, big leg.

Speaker 1 (48:51):

Speaker 1 (50:09):
Pross University variant kick goll from Bible Cheese returned by
Hunter Coustle for Buck Guys Central, but the Forson Dusky
rams on special teams able to stop him shy of
the twenty yard line, so it is twenty eight to nothing.
Upper Sandusky will delete at home on buck On Upper Man.

Speaker 6 (50:31):
I tell you what they have come in here, and
they've come in here to make a statement on Senior night.
We are a playoff team. We are a capable team.
We're a dangerous team.

Speaker 5 (50:41):
And here we're gonna.

Speaker 6 (50:41):
Impose our will on these guys, and they are just
having their way with Buckeye Central right now, first and.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Ten sixteen yard line.

Speaker 1 (50:49):
Buck guy Central with the ball, the snap hand, Dolf
wrap the middle and again I'm gonna have this penalty.
Oh we are, yes, I see the flag on that run,
tie per raft the uh.

Speaker 6 (51:04):
The cheerleaders here, Kirk are yeah, doing things into the
stands and I'm waiting for one to come through the window.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
Kill. I'm ready to cheerleader.

Speaker 5 (51:13):
Trying to throw it, help in the up to us.

Speaker 6 (51:15):
And she threw right in the ground in front of us.
Oh not one of her better moments, maybe he thought, yeah,
but here we are fifteen yard penoty. It's that those
are things where if you're looking, if you're if you're
looking at this upper don't help them out. Don't help

(51:35):
them out, keep it clean, keep your mouth shut, keep healthy,
don't do anything stupid or malicious.

Speaker 2 (51:43):
Just play the game.

Speaker 6 (51:44):
Play the game how it should, respect your opponent, respect
each other, respect the game.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
And that's done. That's doing nothing to help him.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
Buck Eye first the ten thirty two yard line for
Buck Eye pass Jack Phillips on the near side caught
Corbet Bloomfield. He's wrapped up and tackled a near side
by Caleb Francis, shy of the yard line. Not enough
for a first on that play, but there's a good
looking play nonetheless for the Bucks.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Correct.

Speaker 5 (52:07):
It's a positive play.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
It's a positive play.

Speaker 6 (52:10):
And once again the sometimes the best defense is a
good offense. You know, buckeyeh's been struggling defensively. Offense, just
make positive plays and move the ball down the field.
It reduces him out of time. If you can't run
it very well, then you pass it well. So you're
in second and manageable second.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
And four, you're on a move second and four thirty
eight yard line. Buck I sid with the ball trailing
at twenty eight to nothing. Another eight minutes of play
in the second quarter. Jack Phillips, he is a quarterback.
Hit the gun, No, no to go to Aleck Phillips's time.
Oh he Harry Helms running near sigh thirty five forty
yard line before he is ushered out of bounds. So yeah,
they's surprised me a little bit on that play. Cale

(52:48):
Vince was there on defense to get him out of bounds,
but trying something different.

Speaker 6 (52:52):
Hey, whatever, one brother can't do. Maybe try and go
with another. But yeah, indeed, it's good to see Alec
back in there. Kind of lost his helmet, literally lost
his said something nefarious to the official, and but he's
back in their back playing, made a positive play making
it third and a couple, and you've got a whole
lot of options here if you're.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
Buckeye thirty two forty yard line near side hash seven
thirty nine to go second quarter.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Buck guys were with the ball trainingly get twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
To nothing here at up dusky round the pistol looked
this time to go right back to Jack Phillips heads
it off run hole. We had nowhere to go. Cale
Vince saw him in there four percent dusky to smash him.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Yeah, Austin Pogner was a ball carrier. Lewis over there.

Speaker 5 (53:31):
Yeah, that was a great jump there by Nathan Lewis.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
Yeah, he was.

Speaker 5 (53:35):
Right in there on the trip side.

Speaker 6 (53:36):
And next thing, Buckeye hasn't been very deceptive necessarily. They
have a tripper one that trip and single. That's what
they've been running eighty percent of time out here, and
it has not necessarily been deceptive all the time. So
that's a great jump there by Lewis and really shutting
that down. And if you're Buckeye, you gotta be thinking, well, crap,
we might as well go for it, right, I mean,
what do.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
We have to lose?

Speaker 8 (53:57):
Right?

Speaker 6 (53:57):
You want to if you want to make the playoffs
and come how make this comeback?

Speaker 1 (54:01):
You gotta go out there and win the game. So
they have to go for four to two for the forty.
Absolutely gotta go. Whoa we get a whistle here and
oh we get a quest Federal Credit Union time out

The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week,
fourth and.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
Two, Buck Guy Central going forwards reately twenty eight to
nothing in this second quarter it most of this Parson's
a quarterback Jack Phillips as a staff throws it to
the far side, caught by Alec Phillips across the forty
five cross midfield. How about this Buck Guy Central got
will more than what was needed for that Matthew's Honaker
a first down, so it appears that they executed what

(55:46):
they talked about.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
Turn that time.

Speaker 5 (55:48):
Out just what the doctor ordered.

Speaker 6 (55:49):
Starting with twins but allah one goes in motion to
see what the read what the defense was, and that's
who got the ball. So yeah, they need to call
that time out is a big moment in the game.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
And they executed perfectly. Back to the trips in.

Speaker 1 (56:02):
One first ten forty nine yard line of their own territory,
stepping back, all flight comes up. They're running to play anyway.
But we'll see about the penalty. Ty Kraft appears to
be the ball carrier there for buck Eye Central, but
we'll see about this penalty.

Speaker 6 (56:15):
Yeah, I see, I think it's the illegal motion.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Yeah, false start. I think they're calling, and they're gonna
call false start.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
And we get to sometimes hear the numbers because yeah,
Gene Bridenstein, the referee, he is biked up and talking
to us.

Speaker 6 (56:42):
Okay, okay, all right, Yeah, so the player must have
just been a little too far off the line and
that counts, and uh, you got if you know you're
you gotta be tight on the line and tight end,
then gosh, that's that's a that's a mental error. That's
a mental air, you know, that's not being prepared, not
executing that part correctly, and that's hurting Buckeye right there.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
First of fifteen forty four yard lines. That back Jack
Phillips works his way to the right, here's a one
mouser in his face, and the past thrown incomplete at
the forty five the yards line. So yeah, you know what,
that's one of the things that coach Phillips was talking about.
There were some mental errors that he thought cost him
the game versus Winford. He says, some of those mistakes,

(57:26):
if we don't make him, we might win that game,
he said. But we're a young team, so this stuff
is gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (57:32):
And on that play right there is a fake to
the running back upper Sandusky. They clearly watched that play before.
They didn't even fall for then. No one even went
to the back. They went straight to Phillips, and Phillips
was in retreat mode. And it's gonna be second and
long here for buck Eye Central.

Speaker 1 (57:48):
Yeah, we'll call it second fifteen from the forty four
yard line, six eleven to go and til a half time,
Bucky Central with the ball, Trailly get twenty eight two nothing.
The cornerback Jack Phillips has a staff, takes a hand
off the bluefield, works his way to the right side by
mouser run of bounds.

Speaker 6 (58:02):
Not much to be gained there, and this is kind
of strange. Not much to be gained there, and you
ran out of bounds. Dade Buckeyees Central. Keep the clock running.
I mean it's almost one of those things where you
have to treat it like a second half, uh, you know,
and you have you got to keep the clock running.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
Upper Sin Dusty is getting the ball back. Second half?

Speaker 1 (58:25):
Right, yeah, right, yeah, you got it right because guy
elected to a receiving you're thinking, you're.

Speaker 6 (58:31):
Thinking right now, well, at this rate, I mean, it
could be thirty five nothing, So you've got to score.

Speaker 5 (58:35):
Keep that clock running, kid, don't let up for have.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
The ball back just in case we'red fifteen forty four
yard line.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
Here comes Jack Phillips on this down the pass.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
Cutdown field hundred cuddle across a thirty yard line. Good
play for buck Eye Central right there. Oh, how did
they need that? Good tackle made by Dalton Shock Ruppers
and Dusky by Matthews Hanager.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
First down for the Bucks.

Speaker 5 (58:57):
I tell you what.

Speaker 6 (58:58):
Con' psy calling a girl for the tenth time asking
for a date. She finally says, yes, there's a sense
of desperation. They needed that oh so badly, Oh my god.
And and here's the thing again, keeps a clock running
now first down, but it keeps a clock running. But
Upper Sandusky had been playing pretty soft on their coverage

(59:18):
and that really got him on that one.

Speaker 5 (59:20):
So they've been setting.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
Up and waiting for that first of ten twenty seven
yard line. Here we go, step back, and we had
Bugner on the run. Not much doing right there as
Uppers Sandusky right there today we'll stop it with kle fence.

Speaker 6 (59:34):
Yeah, the massive humanity of Upper again, they have been
watching that is just half back tackle off tackle, and
they saw that come the whole way and there is
about eight black Jersey's just sitting there welcome them as
a welcoming committee.

Speaker 2 (59:48):
Pretty much right there.

Speaker 6 (59:49):
There's there's no gap, and so they're taking a loss
on that a couple of yards here. You know it
would if I'm Buckeye, like, if I'm looking for something
maybe to run here, You've got a wide open right
side of the field. Put trips over there, run a
couple outs and try and use that space. Use your
athletes in that space. And it's open right now.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Second of twelve, twenty nine yard line for forty four
to go and tell half times snappens back for Jack
Phyllis a Buckeye which were down the four scores. Allen
Bowser is able to wrap him up from behind and
make that tackle around the thirty two yard Now for.

Speaker 6 (01:00:23):
Jumping on Phillips before he could execute, but before anything else,
Hunter Coddle. He was wide open in that space and
Phillips was looking at him but just did not.

Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
Feel comfortable and releasing the ball.

Speaker 6 (01:00:34):
But what I had just said about getting an athlete
in that wide open space on the right that almost
was executed just just couldn't happen. So it's third and
the third and fifteen here for the Bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Yeah, third fifteen, thirty two yard line. All right, cornerback
Jack Phillips has a snap a block, good bye Bogner.
But now it breaks down Ko Phillip, cale Vinzer.

Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
Oh look did he now out of bounds? Caleb Francis, Oh,
my gosh.

Speaker 6 (01:01:05):
Trying to do the Brett Favre flick. Uh just and
Phillips was hold on air. Okay, I thought there might
have been a flag or something. So there's a great
roll out to the left. However, there is a player
wide open on the right, and I know you're told
don't ever throw across your body. But when I say
he was wide open, he could have made a campfire,

(01:01:27):
made marshmallows slept and still woken up and the defense
wouldn't have.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Been on him.

Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
So so in that case, he was wide open, but
he just across the buck.

Speaker 6 (01:01:35):
He was running in duress. He was running in duress.
What's fourth and long and you got to.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Go for fourth or fifteen? Yes, thirty two yard line.
Let's see alla Philips the motion. Jack Phillips has a snap,
tries to buy some time, throws over a middle cock
bike orban Bloomfield tackled by Ethan lewis the intent leading
tackler here the twenty two yard.

Speaker 6 (01:01:53):
Lie Dealistically, you want to make not enough, Yeah, you
want to make a throw and you want to make
a play.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
It's beyond the sticks or at least close to Yeah.
But that's the problem.

Speaker 6 (01:02:01):
The other thing is Upper's been putting some pretty good
pressure on Philips, so he's having to kind of get
rid of the doll and he can't let it sit
and then left the plays develop. If you're running a post,
skinny post or corner or something, you just don't have
that kind of time.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Let's view it as it was as a good completion.

Speaker 6 (01:02:20):
You gain some yards it Upper has to earn back,
so it wasn't all negative. But yeah, Upper, they're on
the move now and they can really lower the hammer.

Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
Right here, turn over on downs vers ten twenty something

Thanks yard game freefent was while you were gone to
the thirty one yard line, so get a second down
and won. Justin Hollman with for Per Sandusky leading at
twenty eight to nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
Who runs towards the right side officious.

Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
Oh yeah, that's gotta be again, Brody Cox defenseless player. Yeah,
Masa Clay did not see that coming at all from
buckye Central.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Fortunately he's up and he is fine. But yes, he's
jogging towards side.

Speaker 6 (01:04:21):
Oh yeah, I guarantee he's he's probably going over there
and he's gonna smell some cheese real quick. But uh,
the Upper Upper Sandusky they okay, Buckeye the play before,
we kind of missed it. They sold out going for
for they should trying to just stop to run. Upper
Sandusky still made it just eight nine yard gash that time.

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
Upper had a.

Speaker 6 (01:04:45):
Great play, but goofy penalties that will hurt your team.
It only hurts you. And they're not in a position
to where they can really afford to do this with
only three h eight left and the half. Now they're
in a position okay, so they're check it out. So

(01:05:06):
they're saying, if you heard it at home, they were
giving the fifteen yard penalty after the run because it
was a first down. So uh, not all bad for it.
Almost like the play didn't even happen.

Speaker 13 (01:05:18):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
He feels that way, right, it feels that way.

Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
Yeah, it's like it down at four for the twenty
eight yard line up for Sandusky with the ball did
get twenty eight to nothing. The quarterback Justin Helman has
the snap, back pedals, throws it down the middle for
the field, looking for Josh Heilman, and off his hand
to complete near the forty yard line, right down the
middle of the field.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Colin Perry had coverage.

Speaker 6 (01:05:39):
Four, but cause, yeah, Hilman just went right through his fingers,
right through his hands.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
And I don't know are these two Hilmans Are they brothers?
They are brothers? Yes, Justin Justin are definitely brothers.

Speaker 6 (01:05:51):
You know, you know what's gonna happen when they get
home tonight, right? Oh, because Hilman had that right on stretch.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Yeah, it's like, why do you catch the ball?

Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
Dude had a seventy yard touchdown pass?

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
Why didn't you.

Speaker 5 (01:06:01):
Catch the ball?

Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Man? Third and four, twenty eight yard line? Wait until
you see what you get for Christmas? Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Has he ended off to Ethan Lewis Huruns the right
side has spills forward across the forty five yard line. Yes,
Isaac Parsons on the tackle for Buckeye, but yep, sticks
for moving Matthew's on agra first out.

Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
Grass is the greatest defender on that play. I mean
upper and literally entire line shifted over to the right
and just made a wall of humanity and Buckett didn't
have any answers, and fortunately the back just kind of
couldn't keep his feet and hit the gap and go
all the way.

Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
Verse to ten forty five yard line. One in motion.

Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
It's Francis cornerback Justin Hollman has a snap, tries to
get away to the right side in the throw Hi
for France's incomplete. There was a nice block there right
at the last moment by Hayes Shuster for upper to
allow for the throw, but did not quite make that connect.

Speaker 6 (01:07:00):
Yeah, swinging out to the right and uh, trying to
find Francis kind of coming back to the ball and
just kind of just overshot the target. Uh but you know,
uh it stops the clock two thirty. It's still only
second and ten, and uh they still have obviously chances
for a positive play. I would not be surprised if
they run it right down the middle right.

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Here, second down, ten forty five yard line. He with
the ball two and a half remaining until half time.
Snap back Justin Hollman hands it off Ethan Lewis rather
forty five midfield forty five and a good tackle there
by Colin Perry for buck Eye central.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
But you see that burst breath in little hell Taire.

Speaker 6 (01:07:39):
Oh yeah, moving cocks over, moving position. So he was
the man in motion as soon as he broke towards
the center, snapped the ball and nice lead blocks and
not running it down the middle, but an off tackle
and just making a great play.

Speaker 5 (01:07:52):
Offensive splurge.

Speaker 6 (01:07:54):
They're still moving for upper and it's first down and
there in Buckeye territory.

Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
Down to the forty three yard line with a back
talk first down on the near side. Hash as they
go trips to the left. The one receiver on the
near side it is Josh Hallmon, Justin Hallman. He heads
up towards his center, Benton Taylor, and he back pedals.
He's got Ethan Lewis behind him, clapped his hands as
a snapped at the quarterback, hands and alter. Ethan Lewis
runs up the middle and then immediately gets wrapped up

(01:08:19):
across the forty yard line. Look at the flag there. Yeah,
Matt Nolton was the tackler. But another flag hold that backfield. Yeah,
I usually a good thing for the offense. And yeah,
that's come back. That's gonna be a hold. I couldn't
see who it was. It looked funny. I saw an
arm flail, but I didn't see who it was. So

(01:08:40):
with Jean Brighton's dyne, he's uh, he's calling out the name.
So that's the reason we know is Reese Ward.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
But uh, we usually don't get that right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
So if you don't see it, then we don't know. Uh,
the official thought committed the pilody. So much for anonymity,
I know, right, I hope they don't read my doctor
charts mine either, no way, no way, first and twenty
another forty seven yard line? Does it get the snap
back here? Just to hew Man, that passed outfield all
the way overshot, Caleb Francis, it did appear there incomplete

(01:09:12):
near the twenty yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
That was that was the.

Speaker 6 (01:09:17):
Best worst pass he's made. There is nothing there unless
it was over and he was not throwing that an overpass.
He's trying to throw through the crossing routes. That is
how interceptions happened, and fortunately he threw over.

Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
And that was a not the better throw he's made tonight,
but kind of a gamble, maybe the kind of game
we can take when you're up.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
Twenty eight zero second of twenty forty seven yard line,
then stabbing to get into Martinez runs on the right side,
so he's brought down by Tye Kraft inside the forty
yard line, leaving won twenty four rebating until half time.

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Oh we get a flags gag. Oh illegal player downfield?

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Oh yeah, there you got You saw the signal. That's
exactly right. Yeah, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:10:08):
Other other than the illegal player downfield, which allows us
to potentially be executed correctly as well. Uh okay, so,
and that can happen on those kind of plays, those
little draw screen plays. But more importantly impressively, I really

(01:10:28):
liked how Martinez caught that ball and just quick feet
up the sideline on the right hand side, digit diggit
and just boom.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
He had a couple of little tap tap tap tap
tap of.

Speaker 6 (01:10:38):
His feet and then just took off and uh, Buckeye
got lucky that they caught him because he was he
was getting ahead of steam. So I saw offensive play
from Martinez. We haven't heard too much about him tonight,
but he had a great executionaire just getting pulled back
now second.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
Long taken twenty five front and forty two yard lines, quarterback.
Just Halmann does have to snap as we head towards
half time, sets up a screen here for Ethan Lewis.

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
He's across midfield useless.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
The park gets way for forty five, forty thirty five,
and it stopped here in a thirty yard line. Well, Perry,
fortunately he was able to get a stop terre.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
But another nice running.

Speaker 6 (01:11:12):
I did not know Mike Alstock came to play for
a role, Dusky. I mean he just lowered his head,
lowered the boom on that half back screen.

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
Well, maybe he's watched the old Mike alstot They screen
run perfectly and first down.

Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
First the ten thirty three yard line, said Dusky, trying
to add to the lead to pass.

Speaker 2 (01:11:30):
That we always gone take up.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Frances Edge tried, hil burned up Francis touchdown, versaid Dusky.

Speaker 6 (01:11:39):
Yeah, Buckeye didn't even look like they're ready defensively, and
Francis was he He just ran right down, just nothing special,
just a street route, just a little street route, and
he was wide open, no one even guarding him.

Speaker 5 (01:11:52):
He could have also roasted some marshmallows.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Thirty two yard.

Speaker 1 (01:11:56):
Play right there, justin Hollman to Caleb frant Yeah, so
they'll go for the Oh they're going for two? Interesting,
that's well no, maybe not. Yeah, they're they were showing that.
But though they are going to go back for the
extra point with Kobe bidelecheese and the kick is up

(01:12:18):
and it is through, you don't have to go for
two there, right, Yeah exactly, I'm not talking necessary sportsman wise,
but you don't wanna.

Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
You don't want to show all your cards either if
you're upper right.

Speaker 1 (01:12:30):
And also, yeah, I mean, if they hadn't gotten it, uh,
you know, we wouldn't be the thirty five to nothing lead, right,
So if this holds up in the second half, we'll
be looking at a running clock situation thirty.

Speaker 6 (01:12:43):
If it gets a song as thirty or more, it runs.
Once it goes under thirty, the clock goes back to normal,
and that's only in the second half, so the clock
will still run like normal football. Thirty five zero spread
here atter Sedusky again, they are just just having their
way with the Bucks just really struggling to keep up offensively.

(01:13:05):
They've had some times of moving the ball well, but
they just cannot. It's almost like the Upper Sandusky defense
just stiffens up and Upper Sandusky just really has her
way once it gets down there, and buck Eye Central.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
Not able to execute her get any points.

Speaker 6 (01:13:20):
And you had a couple turnovers and there and a
couple bad things and it's just not going well for
the Bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
That's pretty much the situation. Forty four seconds left until
halftime as Kobe bottle Cheese, who just made the extra point,
is ready for another Ohio University and Mary and kickoff
with the approach, Jog's up and then.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Big come boom with his left foot, and here.

Speaker 1 (01:13:43):
We get a return hunder cardal from inside to five
across the ten yard line fifteen and the Rams are
there and special teams are ready to off them.

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):
Looked like the teckle. Yeah, it's the Baldwin gauge white
hard over there.

Speaker 5 (01:13:58):
And you know, here's the other thing.

Speaker 6 (01:13:59):
Buckeye Central, they don't have really an extensive roster, so
I mean your ability to kind of rotate guys in
and out. You did that plays a role in this too,
So they're kind of in a tricky spot. I would
not be surprised if you see three running plays or
three short plays to try and just keep that clock

(01:14:21):
rolling get into halftime. Reconvene, re talk about what we're
trying to do and what we want to get out
of the second half.

Speaker 1 (01:14:29):
First and ten from the twenty. Yeah, they just may
need to recalibrate in the break, So pass it to
the near side Corbin Bloomfield right at the twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
Yep. But another hard tackle by Ethan Lewis and he
is fire tough.

Speaker 6 (01:14:41):
Oh hi, goodness gracious not he is. Just he is
the most physical player out there on the field tonight.
And it's not even close. It's not even close. Oh,
they forgot to get the tea, the kids running out
there to get the tea from.

Speaker 5 (01:14:56):
Bout Jesus kidding.

Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, exactly yea.

Speaker 6 (01:15:03):
But again Ethan Lewis, man, I mean, he just laying
the lumber and it looks like we're gonna get at.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Yeah, just let it go. So understandable.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
A tough first half for Buckeye, central strong first half
for Sandusky. They'll go into the break, they'd get thirty
five to nothing.

Speaker 6 (01:15:24):
And you know, Kirk, two different teams, I know, obviously,
two teams, two different emotions. You can kind of see
Buckeye going in there heads down a little bit, kind
of moping around, there's some separation. There's a couple of
different groups from walking in. So uh, the uniformity of
the team is just they're they're they're they're frustrated. And

(01:15:44):
on the other side, Upper Sandusky, you know, heads up,
they're running together, they're jogging, they're ampt they're excited. So
this is gonna be This could be a really tough
second half for the Bucks unless they come out to play.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
We shall see.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
We know the coach, Jordan Phillis will try to get
the team ready for that second half. Well, we will
get you our Read Insurance Agency halftime show will have

you some information on that after this short break.

Speaker 1 (01:16:29):

Speaker 1 (01:19:51):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine. Here at a
person and Dusky's we get going with our Red Insurance
Agency halftime show. What the half of the upper Sandusky
thirty five Buckeye Central zero At this point and the
Buckeye Central marching band is performing under direction of Megan Hyler,

(01:20:14):
and you know, it just seemed like throughout the Bucks
had some moments in which they were trying to break through,
but the Rams just would close the door every single time.

Speaker 6 (01:20:23):
It started well, and Buckeye was able to do exactly
what they wanted to do, right. They were moving the ball,
they're moving the ball on the ground. They're fine creative,
finding creative options and ways to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
But Upper just started.

Speaker 6 (01:20:39):
Making plays and then they had a couple just kind
of bad penalties, bad you know, losing her head and
buck eye.

Speaker 5 (01:20:47):
They can't afford to do that.

Speaker 6 (01:20:49):
They don't have the number of players the athletes to
overcome something like that, and Upper's just taken advantage of that,
and they have just opened the floodgates on Buckeye Central
right now.

Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
Yes, indeed, so that's what we are seeing here, a
much different situation for what is the de facto intent
Championship game. As we've got Mohawk and Seneca East at
the half, Mohawk with a seven to six lead on
the Sincase Higers. So that is a really tight game,

(01:21:22):
and that's what a lot of people were anticipating in Attica,
and wow, I mean it just takes really don't get
any bigger than that. You know, you win it, your champions.
If not, then you're not correct. And let's just talk
about this real quick.

Speaker 6 (01:21:35):
I just had a friend of mine text me and saying, like, well,
I was listening, but I heard you say that both
the teams are trying to play in and win and
get into playoffs. So I didn't know if they were,
And I said, man, I said, Upper Sandsky's played a
really they played a hard schedule, you know, just just
looking at Upper schedule, they played a nine to zero

(01:21:57):
Northmore team. Okay, they're okay, they're ridiculous. Okay, they played Gallion.
They're six and three. They're in a dog fight with
Hart and Marion Harding right now. But Gallon's a playoff team.
And then they played Kerry, Seneca, Easton, Colonel Crawford, three
great teams in the conference.

Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
Well you know who Day did beat Mohawkhawk. That's right, Yeah,
we were there for that exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:22:20):
And so I mean, when you're thinking about it, they've
had a pretty tough schedule and some games where they've
they've snuck off some games and want some games that
you maybe wouldn't think, oh they should win that game,
but they did. So they've had and they've been competitive
with Seneca east Is fourteen seven twenty fourteen Colonel Crawford.
They just they couldn't stop Crawford's run.

Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
Right.

Speaker 6 (01:22:42):
But I tell you what, man, Upper Sandusky. I'm impressed
with their physicality. I am impressed with their ability to
move the ball in different ways. I can tell they
can pass. I can tell they could pass, but they
could also move the ball running. And they're just having
their way tonight doing that.

Speaker 1 (01:23:03):
And yeah, I mean it was Leupper Sandusky. Obviously they're
more than there's more than one player who can pass
the ball. Obviously Justin Allen's their main quarterback. But you know,
you can get some other players jumping in there and
throwing the football, so you're like, well, you know you've
got to account for that. So, you know, we think
about that one play with the Caleb Francis, you know,

(01:23:25):
fourteen yard play he got to Brody Cox. That was
in the second quarter, very very reminiscent. I think it
was Devin Smith did that.

Speaker 6 (01:23:33):
Ohio State in a high state Alabama game right in fifteen,
so very much the same kind of play in his
great pass.

Speaker 25 (01:23:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:23:42):
But and that's the thing, there's so many weapons for
re per Sindusky. Then here's a big thing they're going
into this week.

Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
Ten. Now, let's say, let's say if they win, and
let's say if.

Speaker 6 (01:23:51):
They get you know, a fifteen the best they're gonna
get a thirteen seed. But let's say if they get
a fourteen or fifteen seed and they're hot again, like
we said at the beginning of broadcast, you never know.
Just get in baby, because you never know you can
surprise someone.

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
So that's what it comes down to. Man, gotta love
it all right.

Speaker 1 (01:24:13):
So it looks like the buck Eye Central band wrapping up,
and soon we'll get the Upper Sandusky band. We'll take
a short break and we'll hear some of that as well.
I'll get you some more scores from around the area.
Half to half for our game, it is Upper Sandusky
thirty five, Buck Eye Central zero. As our Reinsurance Agency
halftime show continues, I'm matching nine if I've done at

High School Football Magic ninety five nine. We continue with
our reading trans agency. You have time, so have to
half it up for Sandusky the home Rams lead at
thirty five to on the visiting fuck Eye Central Bucks.
Look at some other scores around the area and particularly

(01:27:58):
I beat again Hawk Sindic East, the winner of that
game in ten Champions at the half Mohawk with a
seven to six lead on Seneca East on the road.

Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
So we will be watching for those scores to out
the night. That sounds like a physical game. Tip. I
bet it is not low scoring, you know there's some
haymakers being thrown there.

Speaker 1 (01:28:18):
Something's going on, absolutely, I know it, and we know
the Carry Blue Devils. Their championship reign comes to an
end tonight. The defense of that championship ended last week
and the loss to Mohawk. Three championships in a row
for Carrie. But the Blue Devils they're gonna want to
look to make another strong postseason run. Twenty twenty one

(01:28:38):
won the state championship, as we all know Carrie tonight
with a forty seven to nothing lead on Bucyrus and
they're definitely handling business. Colonel Crawford up forty two to
nothing on win for tonight and for am game on
fourteen ninety WMRN Shelby for the twenty one to six
lead on Pleasant been trying to wrap up a perfect

(01:29:03):
regular season Ontario with a ten to seven lead on Highland.
We also have Rigdale and Perry tied at seven points apiece.
Indian Lake up thirteen to nothing on North Union, Gallon
leading Party nine to nothing. It's Mount Gilea with a
fourteen to six lead on Carnington Lincoln and yeah clear

(01:29:24):
four twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:29:25):
To ten lead on River Valley. Tonight, I got Elegent
up twenty to.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
Fourteen on hardin Northern and let's see if there are
any others we can find. Oh yeah, we talked about
north Bore, North Bore and League business again. Forty two
to nothing on Loudonville. That's a strong team. That's a
team that could go really far in the postseason. And
bun Guy Valley leading Whitehall Yearly twenty four to nothing.

(01:29:52):
So love of the scores that we're interested in the area.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
Hell, I tell you what, Kerr. Yeah, I was listening to.

Speaker 6 (01:29:57):
Your scores, but as more an amor by this girl
for the Epperson Dusky band who was flipping fire. Yes,
I mean, Kurt, I'm not easily impressed by a lot
of things, but that I was like, I'm just sitting
there with gawking at it.

Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
Wow, it's so cool. That's stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
Well, you know, talking about some of those scores. In addition,
clear Fork beating River Valley twenty to ten. Uh, that
was a Week ten matchup last year during the rain
Bowl where there's just tons of rain and everyone was soaked,
and clear Fork went into ver Valley and upset them
and on a quarterback and committee play and so I

(01:30:42):
know Ver Valley is really looking forward to that revenge
game and going up to uh Velbin.

Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Just man, huh Claiir Fork.

Speaker 6 (01:30:51):
They've got a great defense and they have the ability
to shut down River Valley spread and uh so that
that's an interesting game in terms of playoff positioning. But yeah,
it sounds like from what you said, a lot of
the teams that a lot of the really great teams,
they're taking care of business tonight. They're taking care of
business tonight. Shelby taking care you know. But it is interesting.

(01:31:14):
You did say Ontario and it's ten to seven Ontario
and Highland.

Speaker 2 (01:31:19):
Right, Yeah, yeah, so that one's a little closer than
you were expecting.

Speaker 6 (01:31:23):
Well, here's the thing, you know, Hiland is deceptive. They're
very deceptive in how they run their an offense. If
you can't stop an RPO, they will make it difficult.
Hyland does more about stopping themselves than people stopping them,
so they I'm not surprised at all that they're in
a game with Ontario. The thing with Ontario, yes, Bogden

(01:31:45):
Miller is obviously just an absolute stud but they have
the ability to just jump out and just take it over.
So I wouldn't look for that game being close in
the second half. They'll make some adjustments and they'll do
things right.

Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
I am interested to see how that Senec East game
ends up, though, that is gonna be something. Well that
sounded like a blood baths man, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (01:32:07):
Yes, the Bullhawk Warriors trying to win the intent title
first time since twenty eighteen.

Speaker 6 (01:32:12):
And don't forget again, Like we already mentioned this a
couple of minutes ago. Upper beat that team, right, they
are very capable.

Speaker 2 (01:32:20):
And that's the if you get in there.

Speaker 6 (01:32:22):
I mean it's looking like, barring some sort of unbelievable
comeback up, the Ages Upper Supper is gonna go five
and five and they've come in five. They're gonna go
five and five. Playing a really good schedule. They play
a two or three seed. You never know what happens,
so especially if they're finally getting confident and doing what
they're doing, anything can happen.

Speaker 5 (01:32:45):
Man, it's high school sports.

Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
Say sun we love it. As the Upper sand Dusty.

Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
Or Ams marching band heads off after another stellar performance. Yeah,
led by their director Jason Morris. Yeah, I told you
on the way up here.

Speaker 2 (01:33:05):
Yeah, oh yeah, talk about it right right right, the
last time I.

Speaker 6 (01:33:09):
Was here an Upper, I was coaching at Sires with
Jake Burner, and uh it's two thousand and six and
we had a pretty decent team that you Cyris sat here.
We came in here and thought we might be able
to compete, you know, and Upper is just waxing the
floor with us and come out second half and Upper

(01:33:30):
did a on side kick, caught the ball and they.

Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
Just continued to wax the floor with us.

Speaker 25 (01:33:36):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
So I didn't get to watch the band at that time,
you know, Oh gotcha. And I don't think I don't
think Mike Cowley or Jake Bruner had been.

Speaker 6 (01:33:45):
Very happy if I was snuck out.

Speaker 2 (01:33:46):
What that's right watching Nupper's band, And I mean, they're
right here in front of us.

Speaker 6 (01:33:51):
Just uh give it us a wall of sound, as
Still Specter would say, it is just it's awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:33:58):
They do a great job.

Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
He's kids are doing a great job.

Speaker 6 (01:34:01):
Everyone's energized, everyone's standing clapping.

Speaker 5 (01:34:04):
I mean, it's a great environment.

Speaker 7 (01:34:06):
Kirk.

Speaker 5 (01:34:06):
There's nothing like high school football in Ohio.

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
On a Friday night. That's exactly right, nothing like it
is the greatest thing in the world.

Speaker 1 (01:34:14):
Man oh Man, Yeah, and you're giving us some insight
there for the few Cyer's days. And maybe that's the
motivation for Jake Bruner always trying to get it back
for Sandusky, just says last week is of course he's
leading Colonel Crawford out.

Speaker 6 (01:34:27):
Well, let's just let's send it though the way it
should be ended. They came to our place the next
year and we drugged them. We had Johnny oh, okay,
Jamie Scramble Campbell and okay, we were we were loading.

Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
We went nine and one that year and did not
make the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:34:44):
See that's just oh my gosh, we went one lost
to Winsford. That's beyond frustrating. Oh and they're lost to
the rifle Winford they were. That was when they were
just dominated. Yeah, the exactly and and we just.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
Loss yah eighteen. Right, So that's how it was then.

Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
Yeah, I expanded to sixteen per region, and obviously we
have seven regions now as well. All right, well we'll
take a little break and we'll come back. We'll wrap
up a read insurance agency, have time show again at the.

The Matthews Honda Acura high School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (01:37:27):
All Right high School Football Magic ninety five nine from
Upper Sandusky. As we wrap up our reading shortagency halftime show.
At the half, Upper Sandusky thirty five buck eye Central
zero and as you noted, Scott, yeah, once you get
to that thirty point lead, then uh here we get

(01:37:48):
to running clock at the second.

Speaker 2 (01:37:49):
Half and half.

Speaker 1 (01:37:51):
And that's what we've seen is when they do you
have those running cluck situations, they do tend to go
quite fast.

Speaker 6 (01:37:58):
So don't go get a snack here, listen to us.
Don't get up and run yet, don't don't go away,
don't go away.

Speaker 2 (01:38:05):
And so I'm gonna talk about some adjustments here.

Speaker 6 (01:38:10):
If you're Upper Sandusky, you're going into the second half,
things have been working out well. You've been running and
executing perfectly. Two things, Get out of here healthy, right,
get out of here healthy, And.

Speaker 2 (01:38:22):
Don't do anything stupid.

Speaker 6 (01:38:24):
Don't hurt yourself, don't do anything stupid penalties, don't run
your mouth. Play and respect the game right, play and
respect the game. Respect your opponent, so healthy out and
nothing stupid if your Buckeye Central on the other side,
and keep your head up. I know they're kind of
sulking around and walk around like someone just stole their girlfriend.
But you've got to keep your head up because there's

(01:38:44):
still a second half to play. And you know, you
date a girl, you break up with her, and you
start dating another girl, and you realize, man, I missed
my first love.

Speaker 2 (01:38:53):
I made a mistake.

Speaker 6 (01:38:54):
You go back to your first love and you beg well,
they're begging to move the ball on the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:39:00):
It worked in the first half. Go back to that
two reasons. Number one, it works obvious.

Speaker 6 (01:39:05):
Number two, it shortens the game if you're if you
want to avoid it being a sixty five to nothing,
move the ball on the ground some ground.

Speaker 5 (01:39:15):
Some it worked.

Speaker 2 (01:39:15):
Go back to your first love. Keep it on the
ground somehow. Well. The tough thing is who we know
that ye have buck guy Central?

Speaker 1 (01:39:22):
Was they get in the house University of Marion kick
golf here from Jack Phillips and.

Speaker 5 (01:39:30):
Yeah, just head of flashbacks.

Speaker 2 (01:39:37):
Oh my gosh. Yeah, well we're owing up or they
were ready for it.

Speaker 25 (01:39:43):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (01:39:43):
It has been interesting watching both teams uh more obviously
buck eye, because they've been getting kicked off too. But
uh they they've been ready for that shot up the
middle you saw at Oregon and Ohio State where just
kicking it right up the front man.

Speaker 1 (01:39:59):
And here we go first ten forty six yard lines.
We started with the running clock. Here a per Sandusky
with the ball keeping it on the ground, just as
we saw in the first half with Ethan Lopiss. So
he gets across the midfield to the forty seven yard
line right.

Speaker 6 (01:40:15):
And the only time a clock would stop is also
a change of possession. We were in a we were
calling a game where it got a little out of
control like this too, and it does change for possession.
But yeah, great run again. I mean, nothing changed, nothing
different by.

Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
Epper second of three, forty seven yard line right back to.

Speaker 1 (01:40:35):
Work Ethan Lewis as he might get it as Parsons
is under chase and Ethan is determined on a too
get him down prior to the in zone. Is on
help deepits there might be a Donny Fortner but uh
while gets inside the ten yard line, looks like they're
marking it maybe the seventh but another huge Matthew's hat anchor.

Speaker 2 (01:40:57):
A first down for Ethan was upper hand Dusky.

Speaker 5 (01:40:59):
Yeah, great move.

Speaker 6 (01:41:00):
The outside linebacker just tried to hug a ghost and
uh Man. Just another great run by Ethan Lewis. I mean,
nothing has changed for Upper Sandusky. They're doing it right.
Run shorten the game, get out here healthy, just play
your game and right now Uppers hitting on all cinders again.

Speaker 1 (01:41:21):
First a goal from the seven snap bag Justin Hollman
corks at Barcelona. Oh and the almost intercepted by Colin Perry.
He got two hands on it defensively as it felt incomplete.

Speaker 6 (01:41:31):
They were at the zone. You know, I'll just say it.
I'll just say it. Three things happen when you throw right.
Two of them are bad. So they got lucky because
quite frankly, Buckeye, it was just a little out route
those of you who are listening, a little out route
and is a late throw and the corner jumped it.

Speaker 5 (01:41:49):
I don't know how he didn't intercept it and run
it back for a ninety.

Speaker 2 (01:41:52):
Eight yard return.

Speaker 1 (01:41:53):
Second and goal from the seven yard line. Helman has
a snap and then hands it off to Ethan Lewis
and he picks his all the way to the zone.

Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
For the seven yard touchdown Keith and Lewis. He's a
Crown cobbler.

Speaker 6 (01:42:07):
Yeah, nothing fancy, nothing fancy, just ground and pound and
get that six points.

Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
See so I'm wondering. I'm wondering if the OC for
uppers like, okay, we're not throwing anymore, why would you
have to?

Speaker 1 (01:42:20):
Yes, that's it's Jeer Old. Yes, he's like, yeah, we're
just gonna go to the ground. I can see him
saying that, right, his principal. Keep it simple, stupid, just
run the ball up the gut. Oh my gosh, that's down,
brought to you by the Central Hole Farmers co Op.
As we get another extra point for Kobe Vital Cheese
and it goes through and it's pure domination on the
most entire scoreboard. It is Hupper said Usky forty two

(01:42:43):
buck Guy Central zero eight forty three to go in
the third quarter over running clock, high school.

Speaker 2 (01:42:47):
Football at Magic ninety five to nine and Dieheart Radio.

The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (01:43:55):
High schoo Football Magic in ninety five and nine just
got a seven yard does down run Lewis upper deski
with a forty two to nothing lead early in this
third quarter of a running clock as we're going to
get another house at the University of Barry and kicked
off Kobe vital Cheese with the left foot.

Speaker 2 (01:44:10):
Looks like, oh yeah, that was there.

Speaker 1 (01:44:13):
As Kayden Jarvis is on the return across the thirty
yard line and he gets bunched up by a bunch
of a rams.

Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:44:20):
Well, those who are listening, Uh, the return man ran
up to the ball and it was a bounce of
half a yard right into his feet and he just
kind of trapped and picked it up.

Speaker 5 (01:44:31):
But who risky, play.

Speaker 2 (01:44:34):
Boy.

Speaker 6 (01:44:35):
You know, here's the thing. You know, the offense is
running well and clicking. When your kicker scores the equivalency
of a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
That's yeah, you know what. That's right, Kobe.

Speaker 5 (01:44:47):
That's when you know your offense is clicking.

Speaker 2 (01:44:49):
So oh gosh. And he definitely puts in work, you know.

Speaker 6 (01:44:52):
Yeah, And this is you know, it's again running clock
except for change of possessions.

Speaker 1 (01:44:56):
So this is going to be only a couple of
possessions for Buckeye. The rest of the half, first of
ten thirty one yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:45:02):
Yeah, not lunch here.

Speaker 1 (01:45:03):
Jack Phillips will lose a rush and then throws it
over the middle. It is caught by Alec Phillips as
a tackle made by hex Marte Dez right at the
forty two the yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:45:14):
So yeah, you know it is Matthews on acker. First down.

Speaker 6 (01:45:17):
Yeah, a little bit of a throwback against your body,
but it was a good throw. And that's why I
was trying to say earlier in the first half, man,
if you would have had time when you scrambled out
to the left and no one was old, you know,
and no one was even covering the receiver. But that
time he did throw across his body and made a
nice connection there for a first down.

Speaker 1 (01:45:35):
First at ten forty two yard line, third quarter, running clock,
tretly get forty two to nothing Buckeye Central. Hear it up,
her step back to Jack Phillips hands it off to
Ty Kraft on the left side. Multiple rams were over there,
couldn't quite tell who it was the first to hit him,
but uh yeah, nowhere to go.

Speaker 2 (01:45:51):
Yeah, hello, thank you.

Speaker 6 (01:45:52):
Four four of them, four of them tackled one guy. Yeah, wow,
And that was just a simple play to the run
to the open side of the field, trying to get
a half back tackle.

Speaker 2 (01:46:01):
But us on that one, yep, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:46:03):
Upper, They're just they were ready for that.

Speaker 6 (01:46:05):
And you know, it's one of those things where Buckeye, again,
as I've said, I don't want to say they run
a vanilla offense, but they don't do a whole lot
of tricky stuff, and so that allows for teams like
Upper to catch up to that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:46:21):
And and here we are second long, Yeah, second fourteen
from the thirty eight yard line. Buck guys would throw
with the ball training get forty two to nothing, six
fifteen to go. Third quarter quarterback Jack Phillips throws it
up and it's incomplete Dragon to find out like Phillips
on the far sideline.

Speaker 6 (01:46:36):
Yeah, well, you're starting to see, you're starting to see
the depth of Buckeye start to really kind of damper
their abilities to block. The Upper defensive line just exploding through,
putting pressure all sorts on Phillips, force them to go
out to the left, try and make throws on the run,
and that's that's just hard to do going out to

(01:46:57):
your left when you're ready. Right, So eight pressure there
on the end by Mason Schaeffer third.

Speaker 2 (01:47:05):
And fourteen thirty eight yard line.

Speaker 1 (01:47:06):
Buckeye with the ball in her own territory, snap back
here to Jack Phillips, and again there's a pressure tale.

Speaker 2 (01:47:12):
Vince is over there.

Speaker 1 (01:47:14):
Four Upper San Dusky bring him down right at the
thirty five yard line.

Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
Wow, it's just a no mercy here for Upper. Of
course the hut no Upper.

Speaker 6 (01:47:23):
They're only rushing four alignemen, so they're not blitzing. They
had one as kind of a uh I don't know
if it's a delayers kind of trying to spy a
little bit, but they only rushed four and they're just
blowing up the offensive line of Buckeye Central. And again
you can just see there's just two different levels of
energy on the team. I don't think Buckey's quitting on themselves,

(01:47:46):
it's just the difference in the energy level depth.

Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:47:50):
So Caton Jarvis is on the punt on fourth down
and seventeen and this one how much spin on it
side the thirty five then bounce back the other direction
to the thirty six.

Speaker 2 (01:48:00):
Stopped Pie Bochner for Buckeye.

Speaker 1 (01:48:04):
But yes, Summer Sandusky with the football once again with
four thirty five and counting down in this third quarter
leading at forty two.

Speaker 6 (01:48:11):
To Yeah, great, great punt again is kind of like
what we saw earlier in the game too. I mean,
I'll tell you, Buck Eye, they don't have really long kicks,
but nice knuckleball to where it just die open space
to where upper can't run the ball back.

Speaker 5 (01:48:24):
Let's look at the positives here, right, I mean.

Speaker 6 (01:48:27):
Yes, Buck guy's losing forty two to zero, but they've
had some good positive things coming out of this game.
What are you gonna do to build for next year?
How are you gonna change some things?

Speaker 2 (01:48:36):
How? Where are we going from here?

Speaker 4 (01:48:37):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:48:38):
First, at ten thirty five yard time snap back justin
Heilebanton and they go back to the ground with Ethan Lewis,
Seth Parsons in there along with Matthew Heafner on the
tackle for Buck Eye.

Speaker 6 (01:48:51):
And just continuing to talk about that Buckeye they have.
They don't they don't have that many seniors they're they're
gonna be missing. They're gonna miss Bloomfield obviously, wide receiver
playmaker number seven.

Speaker 5 (01:49:05):
It's hard to replace something like that.

Speaker 6 (01:49:07):
But they've got a lot of people coming back for
next year and we've got a player down.

Speaker 2 (01:49:13):
We sure do looks like we have a.

Speaker 1 (01:49:16):
Injury time out for Buck guy Central, so they will
tend to him.

Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
He's right there at the forty yards going around show
he's moving around. Maybe just got the wind knocked out
of him.

Speaker 1 (01:49:30):
Hopefully time out brought to you by the Quest Federal
Credit Union. Of course, on this night, we're also looking
for what happens in Attica between Seneca East and to Mohawks,
And we were watching those scores throughout the night. I
did not see any update from what we had at
halftime seven to six, the lead for Mohawk at Seneca East,

(01:49:51):
and we see that Isaac Parsons appears to be okay
and back up to his feet.

Speaker 2 (01:49:55):
Yeah, senior Isaac Parsons.

Speaker 6 (01:49:57):
You want you want to hope that he's okay and
able to come back and enjoy uh probably the last
half of his football career and be able to enjoy that.
So hopefully he kind of brushes some stuff off here
and is able to come back and enjoy that. You
hate for a tend that way for him. But again, Buckeye,

(01:50:18):
they've they've got some guys coming back. They're gonna be
losing some alignments and bigger size, and that's gonna hurt him,
of course, but they've got a lot coming back next year.
So at this point you start thinking what are we
doing for next year? And this is a great time
to try and start doing that. Executing maybe if you
thought about what kind of offense, maybe trying to do

(01:50:38):
a couple of plays like that just to get in
their heads.

Speaker 1 (01:50:40):
And here comes up as we get a flag if
you're on the second down and nine play, and yeah, hey, maybe.

Speaker 6 (01:50:50):
The refs are they want a short and a half
to because the clock keeps running.

Speaker 1 (01:50:54):
Right yeah, right, so yeah, within completions and players running
out of bounds, none of that stops the clock, including
penalties like that.

Speaker 2 (01:51:04):
They're just trying to get to b W three's also,
that's okay, that's the place.

Speaker 1 (01:51:11):
At forty thirty one yard line. It look like we
might have a new quarterback as Ethan Lewis on the
run there. So yeah, they are going with Keegan Dunn,
the sophomore at quarterback for Upper San Dusky right now
with this huge forty two to nothing lead.

Speaker 2 (01:51:28):
Totally understandable to do that.

Speaker 6 (01:51:30):
Absolutely, now's the time to do that kind of stuff again,
Keep your players healthy, keep them and yeah, and Lewis
even has come out of the game, so you're wanting
to get out of this game healthy. Get your players experience. Nick,
we talked about an extra week of football playoffs. It's
so valuable and this time right now for these players
valuable because most of these guys are going to be

(01:51:52):
your players next year, right exactually next.

Speaker 1 (01:51:54):
Year or the year after third and four, forty one
yard line snapping back the done hands it off near side,
Caden vocal, quick booze and he's not about look like
inside the thirty five, but they may mark him at
the thirty seven instead.

Speaker 2 (01:52:10):
Oh well, we've got a penalty flag. Also, they'll be
coming back.

Speaker 6 (01:52:13):
Is a quick shifty feet there by a vobile nice run,
Yeah sure, but to the left and cutting it up
the side there. But it's gonna be coming back. And
you know, penalties like that are gonna happen. And just
because you have a mix of players and maybe aren't
as disciplined or aren't it as used to playing, you know,
with each other on the line and everything else. So yep,

(01:52:38):
it's a holding and you just kind of find yourself
in precarious situations. So not unusual at all, not a
point of concern. Just got to keep playing. It's gonna
be third and long here for the Rams.

Speaker 1 (01:52:50):
Yeah, he will kick you out third and maybe seven
from the thirty AhR line.

Speaker 2 (01:52:56):
He can done it gets away from all fat and
they've got to jump on up.

Speaker 1 (01:53:01):
And he does done, is able to get on top
of the ball near the twenty three yard line, maybe
the twenty four. But yeah, that's the may think. Yeah,
just do not lose that ball.

Speaker 2 (01:53:09):
Not lose the ball. Oh my god, Kegan done.

Speaker 6 (01:53:13):
It's a little bit a little bit of a high snap,
but he just couldn't catch on to it.

Speaker 5 (01:53:17):
But you know, again, those things are going to happen.

Speaker 6 (01:53:20):
These are if you're gonna make mistakes, now's the time, right,
If you're gonna learn from mistakes, now's the time.

Speaker 2 (01:53:26):
That's not bad.

Speaker 6 (01:53:27):
It's you you hate as a coach because like man,
it's not as crisp as we want. But you live
with it and you say we're moving on. You know,
you got players you know, oh my in am i
because they're getting ready to punt right now and players
are running onto.

Speaker 2 (01:53:39):
The field for upper Yeah, that's on the punk team.
Am I getting my gun? Or what am I?

Speaker 6 (01:53:43):
So you know, maybe at some point Upper might say, hey,
let's call time out and let's let's reconvene here.

Speaker 5 (01:53:48):
Let's just get our heads on.

Speaker 2 (01:53:50):
Get for twenty one from the twenty four yard line,
and uh what they it was all there? It is.
It's a layup game, the lay of game.

Speaker 6 (01:53:59):
By the way, Kurt, there's ten seconds running on the
third quarter. So yes, I said, don't go get a snack, folks.

Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (01:54:07):
We're moving fast. Yes, indeed, so to one and that
is it for the third quarter of play. So what
our Wilson Tires scoreboard. It's upper SIDESKI forty two buck
guy central zero over running clock.

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
As we head toward the fourth quarter of week number ten,
Pladrick with us.

Speaker 1 (01:54:27):
We're Matthews, tatnachera Gable the week. Howboutic dotty pop done?
He ti al radio.

Speaker 7 (01:54:33):
Hey, this is the AI voice of Ronald Reagan. We're
computer generated, but Republican candidate for Judge Todd Anderson is
the real thing, Right, AI Eisenhower.

Speaker 2 (01:54:42):
Right, Gipper.

Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
We are robots, so we're not endorsing, but we're sharing
facts like this one. Todd Anderson is the Republican choice
for judge.

Speaker 25 (01:54:50):
And Republican Todd Anderson is endorsed by Marion County's Paternal
Order of Police, who said that it's me, heye, Lincoln, Ron.

Speaker 4 (01:54:59):
Do we think people will recognize the voice.

Speaker 25 (01:55:01):
Of Lincoln earnestly like to recognize Eisenhower?

Speaker 7 (01:55:05):
There you go again, Abe.

Speaker 25 (01:55:06):
Anyway, they will recognize that Republican Todd Anderson has twenty
seven years of legal and court experience.

Speaker 7 (01:55:13):
Republican Todd Anderson even has judicial experience as municipal court
acting judge.

Speaker 4 (01:55:17):
This year, Republican Todd Anderson is the real deal. In fact,
this next part is an AI. It's really Republican Todd Anderson.
Take it away, Todd, I'm.

Speaker 31 (01:55:26):
The Republican candidate for judge. And this Republican ad is
paid for by friends of Todd Anderson.

Speaker 13 (01:55:31):
The Matthews Honda Akurra High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (01:55:39):
Fishy pond There High School Football Magic ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (01:55:42):
Yes, with the put is, I just got able to.

Speaker 6 (01:55:46):
Come up with it with he kind of went through
the receiver plight he had to move over and he
just kind of slipped right through his arms right and
luckily Buckeye fell right on top of it. But boy,
that was a I could have been gone from bad
to worse real quick.

Speaker 1 (01:56:02):
Yeah, forty two to nothing is the count in per
Sandusky has the lead here at home as we start
off the fourth quarter of a running clog. So the
Rams we do believe we'll get into the playoffs with
this win tonight. Not official, but a lot of people
have been looking at the numbers and that's what it
appears to be.

Speaker 2 (01:56:23):
But yeah, we'll have it official later tonight. Yes, at
least we think so.

Speaker 1 (01:56:27):
So here we go, snap back first and ten Boogner
on the run left side and Austin stopped Shy at
the forty five yard line. Getting multiple rams in there
on defense, and we're getting a number of players who
are not always out there for varsity.

Speaker 2 (01:56:44):
Gage Whiteheart in on that tackle, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:56:46):
Gee yeah, so Swihart in there absolutely, But you know
that is just a sweep off tackle, half back, sweepoff
tackle to the left, open side of the field.

Speaker 2 (01:56:56):
Hey what happened?

Speaker 4 (01:56:58):
Kirk?

Speaker 5 (01:56:58):
Four yards?

Speaker 6 (01:56:59):
I mean and falling back in love with your first love.
Get some positive plays, get out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:57:06):
Second down at six forty seven yard line and snap
back here to Jack Phillips pass far side Cotton across.

Speaker 2 (01:57:14):
The forty yard line, thirty five free. Yeah, that's a
nice place. Just run to the right and taken down.

Speaker 6 (01:57:20):
But after that first down, yep, having some success now
with the uh the b squad out there a little
bit on defense, but uh, you know, it's one of
those things where upper sindski again, stay healthy. Even if
Buckeye scores here. You don't want to give up that uh,
you know, dinosaur egg. But at the same time, you

(01:57:42):
know it's it's the clock is still gonna run. You
can still get out of here quickly. That's not all bad,
but you still want to keep that dinosaur egg and
don't let him hang a number.

Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
First twenty nine yard line.

Speaker 1 (01:57:52):
As we head toward nine and a half remaining in
the fourth quarterback Jack Phillips has a snap trail to
good forty to two to nothing the right, pass it
up in the air, pass this bad ty craft boy
or no is out actually hunter condawall, I make your pardon,
coddle the one who caught back right and.

Speaker 6 (01:58:07):
He had no one around him, and it's just broken
down defense, and you know you don't want to you
hate calling time out, trapper because you're like, we're beating
him forty two exactly. Yeah, but at some point where
do you say time out? Guys, let's come on, like,
don't lose focus, stay laser focus, do your jobs. If
it's a problem where we're needing to communicate, then maybe

(01:58:30):
you try and put someone the secondary leader to make
sure everyone's marked up and then the spot where they
need to be. But yeah, buck, guy's moving the ball
here a little bit, building some confidence.

Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
That's good for them.

Speaker 1 (01:58:40):
First, it's in fifteen yard line in the red zone,
snap bag Jack Phillips, Oh, makes a pitch there to
craft and it keeps it in.

Speaker 2 (01:58:48):
Just know where to go. Another nice tackle for l J. Johnson.
He's played really well.

Speaker 6 (01:58:55):
And fifty three Nick niee it I believe was the
one who took him down.

Speaker 5 (01:58:59):
Nice job.

Speaker 6 (01:59:00):
Nice sack I put probably should have obviously pitched it,
kept it taking down the backfield again. So even the
subs oh, no, that was sixty three. I'm sorry it
was that l J.

Speaker 2 (01:59:11):
Johnson. L J. Johnson, Yeah, Oh, and he's running back
on the field. I no, right, he wasn't hit him again,
of course.

Speaker 6 (01:59:19):
He does, but you know again they're just subbing in
and out and keeping keeping clear players fresh.

Speaker 5 (01:59:24):
Uh, there's no I don't believe.

Speaker 2 (01:59:27):
There's a JV game on week ten anymore.

Speaker 6 (01:59:30):
So okay, this is this is a This is players
getting their chance to play and showing what they can
do and exhibit to their coach.

Speaker 2 (01:59:42):
It's like a down four from the nine and the
red zone.

Speaker 1 (01:59:45):
One in motion that is Coddle, quarterback Phillips has a
staff hands it off to Coddle and then throws it
right back to Philip and Phillips, oh fakes it and
then runs keeps it up. Then maybe yeah, hot there
by bloomfield. But yeah, let's see what one S one
signaling is through. But yeah, there is right there, Like

(02:00:09):
wait a minute.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
There's some confusion there.

Speaker 6 (02:00:11):
Okay, So what it was, uh, those of you listening
wide open right field. So they hand the ball off
and then let's throw back to the quarterback on the
left hand side. The quarterback was getting pursued, so he
came up in the came buck and I think I
think he went beyond the line of scrimmage. He threw
the in the end zone for a touchdown. They counted, yeah,

(02:00:32):
and they're they're counting it. So they're counting it. But boy,
I don't know how he wasn't in front of the
line of scrimmage.

Speaker 2 (02:00:39):
But field, yeah, he'll a touchdown, right they were.

Speaker 5 (02:00:44):
They were just kind of looking around and the rest
were like, are we gonna call that?

Speaker 2 (02:00:49):
Yeah? I saw the official put his hands up. Yeah. Sign,
But here we go with the extra point for Jack Top.
Well done right, So.

Speaker 1 (02:01:02):
Forty two to seven on the Wilson Dar score board
was six twenty nine to go in the fourth percents.

Speaker 2 (02:01:08):
Key, just trying to finish this game off.

Speaker 1 (02:01:10):
Here for week number ten High school Football, Imagine ninety
five Hurradio.

Speaker 21 (02:01:19):
Hello and welcome to Matthews Honda and Matthew's Accura side
by side in Marion.

Speaker 10 (02:01:22):

Oh you mean to prey you're hunting.

Speaker 10 (02:01:26):
No, this whole com driving not.

Speaker 2 (02:01:28):

EB tax credit if applicable, and Level one credit approval.

Speaker 13 (02:02:16):
The Matthews Honda Acura High School Game of the Week.

Speaker 1 (02:02:23):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine forty two to
two seven is the upper Sandusky lead Buckeye Citrol coming
off the score with I say University at Mary and
kick gooff and yeah, Peyton Bustley able to cover that up.

Speaker 2 (02:02:38):
For the Rams.

Speaker 5 (02:02:40):
And I would look for a very healthy dose of run.

Speaker 6 (02:02:48):
But you know these kids coming in here, the backups,
you know they want to impress someone too and say,
hey man, I got a varsity touchdown and varsity game.
So I don't know, but I would look for a
healthy dose of run forty two seven and again running clock,
just trying to get out of this game healthy and alive.
BC They're gonna be running three on the line.

Speaker 1 (02:03:06):
We have a scoring update for that inten Championship game.
Is we get Caydon Vocal with the ball tackled there
immediately backfield. Yeah that may have been Blake centers for Buckeye,
but yeah for that game in Annika, Mohawk going up
by more looks like a fifteen to six on Sinnekey's

(02:03:29):
so all the words trying to open things up a
little bit in the winter, that game in ten champions
this year, as we keep watching that, we got a
second down thirteen here from thirty four yard line over
Sandusky with the ball snap back here to done Keegan's past.

Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
That one is low and in the dirt. That one
too short.

Speaker 12 (02:03:47):
There's a.

Speaker 5 (02:03:49):
Upper Sandeski guy away with a hole there.

Speaker 2 (02:03:51):
I mean the kids.

Speaker 6 (02:03:53):
The lineman's jersey was even below his pads in Yeah,
but res of just fighting play.

Speaker 2 (02:03:58):
It wasn't involved in anything. Just keep the game moving.

Speaker 6 (02:04:01):
But you know that fifteen to six right, Yeah, I
mean that's your two possessions, right, So that's a.

Speaker 5 (02:04:07):
Big that's a big spread there.

Speaker 2 (02:04:09):
Yeahn mohawk. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:04:10):
Trying to get it done against Sinekey's for the intent title.
Back here, third down at thirteen thirty four yard live
he get done. He has a snap the pass on
the far side in complete, trying to get that one
to Ryan Day, the sophomore with four twenty five to go.

Speaker 6 (02:04:26):
Yeah, done, trying to hit that left side comeback route.
Uh and he crow hopped and then he threw the
ball and just losing his footing and so he threw
it short. That's usually what happens. You're having gonna throw
it right in the ground, or you're gonna throw it way.

Speaker 2 (02:04:40):
Over their head. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:04:41):
So stuff like that's gonna get better the more he
gets coached and settle his feet down.

Speaker 1 (02:04:47):
So yeah, with four down and thirteen four minutes remaining,
running clock up or leading, get forty two to seven,
looking to punt this one away and that's what happens
with Josh Heilman high into the air, bounces side of
thirty five and goes the other direction.

Speaker 6 (02:05:03):
Yeah, great, tall, great, tall punt and some pressure put
on there by Clayton Freedich Fredericks, Yeah, Fredericks. Yeah, nice,
nice pressure put on a kicker and uh yeah, he's
about a foot away from making a nice block there,
So good effort. He's not quitting. Players aren't quitting, man.
They they want to play and good for them. And

(02:05:24):
uh but great punt gets out of bounds and of
course at clob keeps running three twenty forty two to seven.

Speaker 2 (02:05:30):
And that's the real key.

Speaker 1 (02:05:31):
We talk about the numbers that were looking at twenty
four players for but Kay Central. But one of the
things that coach Jordan Filds was talking about, it's like
we walked the hallways, we don't see a lot of
boys not playing a sport, right. Yeah, So they're either
on this football team, or they're running cross country or
they're on golf. You know, so they there are a
lot of athletes out there. Just you know, it's a
smaller school. That's just a reality.

Speaker 2 (02:05:51):
Yeah, correct, absolutely, first.

Speaker 1 (02:05:53):
In ten thirty eight yard line, buck guy Central, like
to get some more points before the night is through.
But upper I was gonna take this game. Snap us
back to Jack Phillips, hands it off to the right
side centers and surrounded by rams. Just really no room
for Blake Centers there at the thirty five the yard line.

Speaker 6 (02:06:15):
Yeah, there's confusion before that even happened. Centers was on
the right hand side and the quarterbacks, hey, hey, get
on the lesson. Oh oh yeah, yeah, and so there
was some confusion before that. That plane was the wing
was falling off before it even left the ground. So
leaving second and long and again a lot of backups

(02:06:37):
in here. And you know we talked about other kids,
you know, kids playing sports and being involved here.

Speaker 2 (02:06:44):
After this play, Kirk go.

Speaker 1 (02:06:45):
Ahead second of twelve thirty six yard line, all right,
but got the ball Jack Phillips had passed on and
off of the fingertips a little bit low to Corbyn
Bloomfield at the forty yard line.

Speaker 6 (02:06:56):
Yeah, so you know, buck Eye Central, you know it
may be some tough things athletically here in the fall,
but you know, they have had some other success. Their
volleyball team they got second place behind Mohawk, and I mean,
you know, we know Kerrie and their volleyball.

Speaker 2 (02:07:12):
You know they take that stuff there, so they even
did Bear.

Speaker 6 (02:07:14):
So yeah, Buckeye did well and both teams actually both
schools have great girls cross country program, So some good
things going here for Buckeye as well.

Speaker 1 (02:07:24):
Third and twelve thirty six yards loh and centaers to
lose the ball, but he's able to get it back
just land on it for Buckeye Central at the thirty
yard lives. They head toward the final minutes here in
this game, upper sidess he's gonna win it, leading at
forty two to seven.

Speaker 2 (02:07:38):
Yeah, like you mentioned, yeah, buck guy.

Speaker 1 (02:07:40):
They certainly have some other sports and competitors, but you know,
you bring up volleyball, some strong volleyball teams. But remarkably
this week, after winning some district semifinals, it just all
came crashing down for the in ten teams. The last
team that was standing was last night Carrie and was
unable to uh pull that one off.

Speaker 2 (02:08:03):
Unfortunately for the Blue devils. But uh, I know a
bunch of basketball coaches.

Speaker 6 (02:08:07):
Oh yeah, we got something for you to do, right, well,
you just wing.

Speaker 2 (02:08:15):
Absolutely, we're cooking up something, right.

Speaker 1 (02:08:17):
So we're putting together our schedules for a Mattic ninety
five to nine, and of course we'll let you know
our first game.

Speaker 2 (02:08:23):
It'll be next month. Yeah, we're that close to a
basketball season.

Speaker 6 (02:08:27):
You know, we were talking about the seniors and how
quickly your four years ago and here we are we're
talking about what's basketball season?

Speaker 5 (02:08:35):
Yeah, right, Like well, that's the irony of it all.

Speaker 1 (02:08:39):
As we did a question for our credit union time
out here thirty six seconds left.

Speaker 6 (02:08:42):
Yeah, and you you're you're thinking about these football players.
You know, they've got a they you know, a lot
of these kids are going to be playing basketball and
stuff too, so uh or doing other sports, whether it
be wrestling, bowling, or whatever. So here's a bottom line, Kirk.
It's great the kids are being active or being involved
in their school. You learn a lot of lessons from sports.

(02:09:06):
You get to be influenced by coaches that love them.
There's just a lot of great things that happen in sports.
So you know, I don't know, maybe you're listening out here,
you know, and you're like, man, I wish I would
play sport next year. Man, jump in and do it.
If you have a grandkid, get him to go go
out and play a sport.

Speaker 2 (02:09:24):
Absolutely, I mean, it's a great time.

Speaker 1 (02:09:26):
As we come back to my play, Lake centers on
the run with the football for Buckeye Central just gets
it to the thirty yard line nineteen seconds left.

Speaker 2 (02:09:36):
So that might be the final play of this game.

Speaker 1 (02:09:39):
And you know what mean, buckye Central did beat Upper
San Dusky in twenty fifteen, but since then it has
been all Rams. And with this win, nine in a
row for Upper Sandusky and for Buckeye Central in football,
and it is a final absolutely two to seven. Upper
sent Dusky wins this game. So the Rams, we do

(02:09:59):
believe going to the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (02:10:02):
I think they should get in.

Speaker 6 (02:10:04):
Uh it may be a fifteen or sixteen seat or
something like that, but they made it.

Speaker 2 (02:10:10):
We'll get in. That's the game. Get in, Just get in.
That's right. Then we'll see about the opponent all like that. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:10:16):
Of course, coming up tonight we'll have our scoreboard show
and we're gonna get into so many potential playoff scenarios,
especially involving in ten teams and and MLAC teams as well.

Speaker 2 (02:10:27):
Looking at the am. So there we go. Yeah, so man,
I'm gonna go get our player of the game. Okay,
I'm looking forward to that. So we'll take a little
break and let you go and bring the player. I
have a feeling I know who that player. Don't say it.
I won't. I won't say it. Okay, all right, it'll
be a surprise.

Speaker 5 (02:10:45):
I'll go get them.

Speaker 2 (02:10:46):
Okay, if we take a break here for high school
football

Speaker 1 (02:10:49):
A magic ninety five nine to seven up for Sandusky defeats,
but Guy Central
