Speaker 1 (00:00):
Trip Phoenix. He's got one touchdown this.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Year, and he is also.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Got dash Pucket and Mace Pucket and those two manual
here they will be key on the defense. Mace Pucket
is third fourth in the conference rather in tackles with
thirty four and dash Pucket has thirty, so each above
ten tackles per game and also helping lead the way

(00:32):
for things in tackles for loss. Mace Puckett is actually
leading the conference in tackles for loss. He averages six
tackles for loss, as does Carter Bame on the defensive
side of things. So and then Lewis Watkins five point
five tackles for loss and he's got eighteen tackles on

(00:53):
the year, so he's always in the mix of things.
And Logan's summit twenty four tackles and then his tackles
for loss three and a half on the season. So
that defense is going to have to put pressure on
that quarterback. They've had some holes as far as opponents
being able to pass against them, so that's something that

(01:15):
Kerry is going to have to look to really shore up.
And on the flip side of things, of course, Upper
Sandusky has done quite well passing the ball, not so
much rushing the ball, so they are going to have
to hopefully get Ethan Lewis on track a little bit better.
He has two hundred and twelve yards this season thus far,
forty nine carries, averaging four point three yards of tote

(01:38):
and two tackle or two touchdowns rather and of course
we'll see him on both sides of the ball, as
we see many players playing both ways, but Carter or
excuse me, carry with the slightly larger squads. So see
if they will end up dominating in the second half.
That's typically what they've done in past years. But you know,

(02:01):
this is a new season. They're owing three to start off,
but they are still heading into this season undefeated in
conference play over the last three seasons twenty one to oher,
so that's nothing to sneeze at. And with the tough
opponents they played, they are definitely ready for some home
cooking here tonight from Carrie.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yes they are gym so yeah, that's really what you
got watched for, is just how a team responds to
how the season has been going so far. And yeah,
I think that Carrie is a team that definitely is
going to bring it to night so while we have
an opportunity to let's get you are starting lined ups
presented by the Pillar Credit e Union. First for the

(02:47):
carry offense to start at the quarterback Kyler bows of
their running back is Eli Steen. Of course, Jim, you
were talking about him a lot. And of course the
full back is Mace Puckett. He's emerging that role this season.
You have the receivers Trip Phoenix and Brandon Tanner, and

(03:09):
the tight end is Bryce Puckett, by the way, and
then you look at the line, the guards Gavin Snyder
and Cameron Pinwell, the the tackles Dawson berganaw and Levi Bowling.
In the center is Garrett Bose, the only returning starter
on the offensive line. As for the Kerry D, They've
got Gavin Snyder at the nose guard Lewis Watkins defensive tackle,

(03:32):
along with Red Blankenmeier defensive end. The inside linebackers Dash
Pucket and Mace Puckett, and the olb's are Logan Summon
and Carter Bain. In the secondary, the corners Trip Phoenix
and Lucas Smith Hateward, and the safeties are Cason Sherman
and Boston Richter. Looking at the upper Sandusky side as

(03:54):
we continue with our Pillar Credit to Union starters. As
a quarterback Justin Hollman, got running back Ethan Lewis, Receivers
Caleb Francis, Max Martinez, Josh Heilman tight end as Brody
Cox on the line, the guards Owen Mauser and Mason Schaeffer.
The tackles Hayes Schuster and Derek Barr, and the center

(04:16):
is Ben Taylor. On the line. Defensive ends went and
Mauser looking at the defense along with Mason Shaffer and
those guard Cale Vince the outside linebackers and Nathan Lewis
and Brody Coxon. Sidelinebackers Nathan Ethan Lewis, I should say,
and Braxton Rimmer. In the secondary. The corners are Peyton
Posley and Max Bartinez. The safeties aren't Caleb Francis, said

(04:40):
Ezekiel Baldwin. So, yeah, there you go. Tonight starters presented
by the Pillar Credit Union. So we'll look to take
a little break here and we'll come back and we'll
continue with our pre game and get you set up
for this contest. It is Carrie hosting Upper Sandusky for

High School Football Magic ninety five nine here at Carrie
High School where the Blue Devils have to take on
the Upper Said Dusky year rams with Jim. I'm kirks
A glad to have you tonight, and obviously we just
got through our Hullar Credit Union starting lineup. And I
know you were talking about some of the key players

(07:21):
in this game, and it does tend to come down
to some of the stars in order to have a
successful result.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
It sees, yeah, absolutely, but you know that offensive line,
defensive line, the trenches are really where the battles are
won and lost. You know, are they able to open
up the holes? Are they able to offer the protection
that the quarterback needs if they're if you're passing, and
just wanted to point out some of the uppers and duskies.

(07:48):
I went over carry quite a bit, but Justin Heilman
he is no slouch at quarterback, forty four of sixty eight,
almost sixty five percent on his passes. He's got four touchdowns,
two inns, and then Keegan Dunn his.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Backup two of four.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
But of course we'll be seeing mostly Hilman here tonight hopefully,
but he is also a decent rusher as well, and
we talked about Ethan Lewis, but some of Hilman's favorite
targets Caleb Francis number seven, He's got twenty catches on
the season over two hundred yards ten point two yards

(08:25):
per grab. And then also Max Martinez nine receptions fourteen
point nine yards, and then Brody Cox five receptions sixteen
point eight yards, actually leading in the downfield passing department,
so he is one to definitely watch for. Ezekiel Baldwin,

(08:48):
not one hundred percent sure if this was from this
year or last year. Ezekiel Baldwin it's had one reception
for forty two yards, so they definitely have some downfield threats.
Caleb Francis all four of the touchdown passes that Justin
Heilman has connected with on so see if he can
maybe get some more involved in that offense, spread things

(09:11):
around a little bit more in order.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
But you know, in order to.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Do that we talked about, the offensive line got to
have that time to be able to get that ball
out to some of these receivers and get it downfield
for some of those longer gains, and you know, be
able to move that ball up and down the field.

(09:38):
Got about fourteen minutes until kick off, probably be a
couple of minutes more than that. Neither squad is out
on the field right now, getting ready for the carry
band to take the field, and then the color guard
presenting the colors is present there in the south end zone,

(10:01):
lay across, of course, march across the field from right
to left, and so they will be going to the
north end zone where the flagpole is at the home
of the Blue Devils, Roger Woods Stadium, and the carry
band is coming out now as they are getting ready

(10:22):
for the color guard to march across the field. Taking
a look at some other individual leaders in the conference,
Kyler Bow's just twelve of thirty passings, so he is
down in the number nine slot to one hundred and

(10:43):
eighty three yards, no touchdowns and six interceptions, So that's
something that Carry is going to want to rein in.
Cannot afford to be turning the ball over and that's
something they've done with greater frequency this year than probably
any couple years past, especially for the first few games
out of the gate, and so definitely want to get

(11:06):
that in check. Then also looking at tackles, we talked
about Mace Pucket and Dash Pucket Logan Summit with twenty four,
Carter Bain with twenty three, and then over on the
Upper and Dusky side of things, we mentioned Ethan lewis
leading ground gainer. He's also their leading tackler thirty three
tackles on the season, and other players for Upper include

(11:33):
Braxton Rimmer twenty three tackles on the season and Brody
Cox with eighteen, and those are some of your leaders there.
Trip Phoenix will do the both kickoff and punt returns
for the Carry Blue Devils and he comes in averaging

(11:57):
ten yards on one kickoff return. So, uh, you want
to look for Lucas Smith Hayward. He is their leading returner.
He's got eight returns on the season, averaging twenty one
point six yards on the kickoff returns. Post the American

(12:20):
Legion kickoff returns for Upper Sandusky. Francis averages fourteen point
three yards per return and Martinez with fourteen And the
color Guard is beginning to do their march across the field.

Trim and Upper Sandowski will be wearing their black pants
and white tops with the numbers black numbers, but outlined
in the upper some dusky ram orange.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Pretty decent crowd on hand both sides.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Carry comes in at zero to three, but the fan
supports still here. Great to see, beautiful evening if you're
sitting in the stands, not quite so sure with the
twenty pounds of pads on.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
It's going to be very comfortable out there.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Still in the mid to upper eighties here, but there
is a nice breeze that coming out of the north,
so anybody trying a field goal into that north end
zone is going to probably have to be a little
bit closer.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Really, neither team.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
They've both done extra points, but no one's actually.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Tried a field goal at this point.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Ferry is coming.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Out onto the field.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
They're a stumbling in that north end zone.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Here they come all right, Yes, they are ready to
get this party started. And so far we so glad
that you're with the week four for high school football.

(22:16):
On this Friday, the thirteenth September twenty twenty four, when
you are at carrying two doubles sick Nippers into rams
for the start of conference play the episode of your
Ram for Rive for the record of one and two
coming off a tough loss at Gallion Hut Home forty
two to nothing. The Carry Blue Doubles are this contest
in our home field, seeking your first victory of the season,

(22:36):
a rowing three coming on the loss on Saturday at
Lina Central Catholic twenty five two seventh. No team's members
of the North or Ten Athletic Conference. Cary Blue Devils
are the three time reigning champions up the year ten.
They've got defeated within the conference during that entire stretch.
Carrie's head coach of Johnson Burstman in his eighth season,
the AHC from w is Russell Hall in his seventh

(23:02):
Upper Sandusky Rams dressed in their home Hawahite's uniforms designed
with the orange and black to Carry Blue Devils, they
are dressed in their home navies. These two programs did,
of course, face each other last year at Upper Sandusky.
Carry won that matchup handily sixty to sixteen. Sixty one

(23:23):
to sixteen. Pardon me, so Carries won twenty seven straight
conference games. So here we go again, going for number
twenty eight. We'll see if they can do it. I
hope Semper Dusky has some different playouts.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, last week we were at Upper Sandusky and of
course they started off slow again. Unfortunately, that's been the
modus operandi and all of their games this season had
verry difficult first halfs and they have actually been outscored
more than sixty points to seven in the first half
of the each of their three games. So it's been

(23:59):
just a difficult way to go for the Upper Sandusky Rams.
They will be receiving the opening kickoff, so see if
their offense can get something started here tonight.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
That's absolutely what they are going for. We'll see it.
So Nathan Gary is set up for the carry Blue Devils,
ready to kick all the ball and Max Martinez he
is back deep obviously, as is Ezekiel Hole Baldwood. So
there is Geary with the kick with his right foot
end over Endon anywhere underway here we come with Bolden

(24:32):
across the twenty five yard line. Hit some tacklers there
near the thirty. So let's see what the Upper Sandusky
Rams do on offense led by They're a quarterback Justin Heilman.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
No shortens of enthusiasm on the Kerry Blue Devil side.
You heard of big hoorahs. They all came out onto
the field that defensive unit. So they're looking to see
if they can change their fortunes here against U.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Personduski tonight, no doubt about it. So set up one
on the near side, Caleb Francis. He is a big
time target for these Upper Sanduski rams have been that
way for a couple of seasons at the quarterback justin
Howman he is under center, Martinez goes in motion and
receives the ball off the snap, Martinez across the thirty

(25:21):
yard line, thirty five forty heads on the forty five
and smashed on the bounds by the carry Blue Devils,
but words a flag. Unfortunately that would have been first
down yarders. Maybe they still get a bit if it's
against them. Obviously he'll be coming back, and it's coming
back on a whole four of percon Dusky. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Upper Sandusky was their own worst enemy last week in
the game that we covered and unfortunately starting off with
the very first play nullifying what would have been about
a fourteen to fifteen yard game. Looked like a really
nice design play to Max Martinez and he's had a
couple of carries this season.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Yeah, they put the ball to the twenty two yard line. Yes, indeed,
So first down head twenty four up versa dusky Holman.
He is under center and behind him is Martinez. He
shifts out there, but then they handed off to Ethan Lewis,
who comes right up the gut and gets stopped at
the twenty five yard line. So not a whole lot

(26:25):
doing right there with a pickup of.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
Three Lewis again averaging four point three yards of carry
a couple of touchdowns on the season.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
There are two Loan rushing touchdowns on the season.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
The rest of their touchdowns four have all come with
Caleb Francis.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Via the air. So we get a second down and
seventeen from the twenty five yard line. The center Ben Taylor,
who gets over that ball. We go with a pistol
look this time for Holman, calls for the ball, claps
his hands, has this snap chest I passed near side
Martitinez off of his hands incomplete Logan Summit was there

(27:08):
in coverage for the carry.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Blue Temples carry, so that's gonna be key for Carrie.
Looked like they had pretty good coverage there. Even had
he caught the ball would have been shy of the
original line of scrimmage. So they're playing behind the sticks
here on third down.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Absolutely, yeah, it's not exactly what they were looking for,
but we'll see how they manage it. Here third out
at seventeen up or Sandusky with the ball, first drive
of this game at Carrie and the gun justin Howman
has the snapchest high, looks to his right, tuns the ball.
He's on the move being chased by Dash Pucket to
pass a pie incomplete on the far side, looking for

(27:50):
Brody Cox the tight end. And that one was just
a bit too high near the first town marker. So
it does appear it is putting time for the Rams.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Josh Heilman has three punts only thirty nine yards on
the young season, so see if he can get a
little better punt off obviously had some difficulties on at
least one of those previous three attempts.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
All right, to see what Josh's got here, Lucas Smith
Hayward he is back along with Trip Phoenix, and here
comes the punt and this one goes across the forty
five yard line and out of pounds right near the
kerry bin picked up there by coach Birchmandon.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Carry will start off on their own side of midfield.
See where they spot. It looks like right about the
forty seven forty six. They're still deciding, and now they
do put it down on the forty.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Six forty six it is already so first said ten carries,
so they've got the excellent field position to start off
this first drive. Kyler bowles a quarterback under center, one
in motion to this phoenix. The quarterback has a boss,
snaps it back to Eli. Steen runs up the middle,
cross midfield and Steve stop shy of the forty five

(29:18):
yard line at upper sand Dusky territory. Not a first down,
but Steen looked really good on that first run. Right there.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Jim Yeah, seven yards left side of the offensive line,
doing an outstanding job.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
We talked about opening.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Up holes and he had a gaper there he was
able to get through, and then it took a couple
or three men to bring him down in that secondary.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
He made it past the linebackers. But to that second
down and three forty seven yard line across midfield. Here
first drive for the Kerry Blue Devils after the upper
three and outs. So one in motion, Pucket step back,
Bow's hands off Steen why not plunges forward and that
looks like a good gain thend he on the spot.
I think that's the first down, and it is. They

(29:59):
have confirmed it. Matthew's hot agurra first down four. The
carry pollue devils.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Nothing fancy right up the gut that play again, so
two plays basically off of left tackle.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Keep running it until they stop you. Absolutely, That's that's
where we talked about in Auberginavent really keys of the game. Yes,
So first had ten of the forty three yard line
under center is kylerpos Smith Hayward in motion and then
to go right back to Steen Burrows forward getting up
those yards across the forty yard line, stopped at the

(30:35):
thirty eight. He lost steed that time. Yeah, four and
about four and a half on that one.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
So give them credit officially for four and fifteen yards
on three carries.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
So right about his average heading into this ballgame. Second
down and see a long five there about thirty e
atr line. Two receivers to the left quarterback and the
gun Kyler Bose has the snap, looks over to the left,
pick up the rest pass too high off the left
hand and complete trying to get a phoenix and he's

(31:11):
got some ups does the sophomore, but couldn't quite pull
that one in.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yeah, Bosley on the covers there, but yeah, just too tall.
So first incompletion, and the big key with Kyler Bose
is make sure you're making a good pass first and foremost.
Those six interceptions with no touchdowns cannot afford to do that.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
They come out in the Maryland I this time riding five. Yes,
there have the mayline and they fake it to the
up man and here comes coler bos and Are on
the right side, takes it to the thirty yard line,
brought down by Max Mark t Nez and Ezekiel Baldwin.
But not before we get that Matthew Twnakira first down
for the Canry Bloo levels.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Eight yard pickup. And that's great for Kyler Bose if
they can get some misdirection like that. Fakes the hand
off to all those backs and everybody's keying on that
left side of the line where they've gone pretty much
every other play, and he bluelegs it.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Around first and ten twenty nine yard line uper territory
carry with the ball, first drive for the Blue Devils,
no score. Snap his back hand it off to the
running back on the right side, Tanner and Brandon Tanner
with his verst carry able to get across the twenty
five yard thighs Tom him at the twenty four That's

(32:35):
definitely the issuing the different weapons that they have on
the ground game. That's what they're really focusing on, obviously,
including the quarterback at coler Bo's this Indeed, so we
got a second down hand five from the twenty four
yard on where the Beck is under center and fakes
hand often goes to Steaen the ong direction and he's
collar grease head. Steed does exactly what to do with him.

(32:58):
A twenty four yard touchdown run for e Ly Steve Junior.
So the Kerry Blue Devils are on the board. First
touchdown brought to you by the Central Ohio for first Hello.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
Nothing fancy and all there, Kirk All on the ground
on that drive. So they get a total of fifty
three yards on the drive and the total of seven
rushing plays.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
And one incomplete pass. And for the point after Nathan
Gary it is up and it is through someone. On
Wilson Tyre scoreboard it is Carrie up seven to nothing
on up erk sand Dusky seven twenty six ago in
the first quarter to Rams and get ready for their
second drive of this contest. So bet you're with us

High school football Magic ninety five nine. Here at Carrie
where the Blue Devils are leading at seven to nothing,
Apper Sandusky has the ball. We did have an Ohio
State University kicked off that was handled by Ezechiel Baldwin.
He dropped it actually round fifteen, but then was able
to pick it up and run it across the twenty

(36:15):
so he kept his wits about him. That was good.
But then a pass play that we just had there
as they were trying to get it from Justin Hollman
to believes Martinez that was a complete So here we
go second down and ten from the twenty two ers live,
so Hoiland has a staff hands it off. Ethan Lewis
tries to run through, but dash Pucket is able to

(36:35):
give him a lick along with Cason Sherman for the carry.
Blue Devils.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
Another three yard pickup six yards is their total offense
right now of three for Hylman, who came in with
a sixty five percent nearly sixty five percent completion ratio.
Looking over to the sideline, trying to get the play
from the coaches. Everybody checking their wristbands.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
That's the way you go. So let's see it. Third
down and eight from the twenty four yard line. Quarterback
has the snap, Pilman goes the left side. Cop By
Martin has goes to across the thirty yard line. Thirty
five stretches forward, stopped near the forty yard line, out
of bounds. I'll have to market near there. We'll see
where they do. Boston Ritter on the tackle for the carry,
Blue temples. Yeah, so they have decided that he went

(37:26):
out of bounds.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Thirty eight yard line, eleven yard completion, the first one
for Hilman, first reception for Martinez.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Of course, Matthew's Howdaker first down on the play for
the episode does get Rams.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Their first first down of the ball game. They were
three and out on their first drive.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Absolutely so Verse do ten thirty eight yard line does
get in their own territory down seven to nothing. Every
second drive, Quarterback just Alman has a snap from the
shotgun and rolls to the right, touch the ball away
and then just scoots out of bounds near the line
of scrimmage. So yeah, I couldn't find any open receivers
down the field on that play, got what.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
He could, didn't take a loss, So all in all,
a smart heads up play there.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
Yeah, bottom line right, Yeah, no loss on the play,
and yeah, he is a really smart young man. The coach,
Russell Hall was so pleased.

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Second down they still got first down showing on the marker.
Now they switched the marker as the defensive umpire came.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
In second down to ten thirty eight yard line from
the pistol quarterback has a snap handed off. Ethan Lewis
chased from behind by Mace Puckett. Dan you get tackled.
I think it's case of Sherman's got able to get
his hands on him, and he's near the forty eight
yard line.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
It's like about a yard shy of the first down.
So that'll bring up third and short and a welcome
relief after that first drive.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
Where they had third and seventeen. Yeah, so yeah, forty
seven is where it was spotted, so just didn't quite
get to He needed what would have been the forty
eight yard line. So let's see, you need a yard here.
Third town and one the per Sandusky trailing at seven
to nothing and carry Nathan Lewis. He goes to most
quarterback from the gun, takes it a Homin, gives up

(39:13):
to Ethan Lewis runs left side. He knew what he needed,
got to midfield dash bucket in there on the tackle
for the Blue Devils. Also saw Lucas Smith Heyward. But yeah,
that's Matthews hot acker first down for the per Sandusky
rams looking good now.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Three yards and a cloud of dust works there when
you only need one.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Yeah, that's exactly what it comes down to. Yes, indeed,
So there at midfield, the second drive for a Persaideski
looking a lot better than the first, which was the
three and out. As you noticed a verse hand ten
from midfield. Pistol again Holman as a snap looks right, hell,
little pomp ediphire down field. Oh this was too far
ahead of Caleb Francis. He was working one on one

(39:55):
with Trip Phoenix on that sideline near the twenty yard line,
but incomplete. Caleb Francis doing the smart thing. He looked.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
He knew he wasn't gonna have any chance at that pass,
so he decided to run into the defender, but the
official was having none of it.

Speaker 2 (40:09):
So just an incompletion. There absolutely a little bit of
collision over there. That's what you gotta do. Sometimes. We
have five sixteen to go in this first quarter. The
second drive four up per Sandusky down seven to nothing.
So second down and ten from midfield, Francis he comes

(40:31):
sent here on the near side quarterback Helman. That's a snap,
looks right, plants the food. Let's the go pass down
field and that one's incomplete from X Mark Titenez near
to twenty yard line on the sideline, Trim Phoenix and
Boston Ritter over there and coverage again four of the
Kerry blue temples.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Yeah, Hilman rolled out to his right and line did
a great job on the three down linemen.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
But dash Pucket decided to do a.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Little bit of a delayed blitz and came in from
the right side force that pass a lot earlier than
Hyleman wanted to throw it.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
So now he's just one of six on the night
and third and ten, third and ten from midfield. But
let's see, I think we're going to get out a
timeout called by Upper Sandusky. Brought to you by the
Quest federal credit unions, and we'll take it what we
could get at seven to nothing carry Leeds Upper sent
Descar five oh seven to go in the first to

Speaker 2 (42:28):
High School Football Magic ninety five nine. Here at Carrie,
Upper Sand, Dusty coming out of the time out, Holman
to pass is on the far side. Try to get
it to Bex Martinez incomplete at the forty five yard line,
and so it is for town for Upper Sand.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
Dusky out comes the punting units and they will hoot
it away again back deep to receive the trip. Phoenix
will be the deep back, and there is an outback
as well, lucas Mith, Hayward and either one dangerous returners.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
All right, so toss Hommin with the Yeah the punt,
I should say, this one high up in the air way,
high in the sky, and that one bounces here the
twenty yard line. Yeah, so yeah, dos Hammon did what
he needed to do there on that punt. Yeah. The
Rams obviously wanted to get some points on that drive.
Didn't work out, but to carry back making the Blue

(43:29):
Devils have to work for it on another drive. No
possibility of a return there.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
The up back could have called for a fair catch,
maybe saved several yards there, but obviously they're just wanting
to maintain possessions. So first and ten from the twenty.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Yes it is for UH with four forty eight to
go here in the first quarter. So quarterback with the
snap belt on the ground and Elasten stopped at the
twenty two does appear just a couple of yards there
for Eli. So it brings on a second down and

(44:21):
they'd play for the carry Blue Dimples, who are up
seven to nothing on hump percent dusk before seventeen to
go in the first and the quarterback coler bowls from
the gun to his rightest steam Bos has a snap
quick release the left side, caught by Bryce Pucket and
he is tackled by Rimmer over on the far sideline.

(44:42):
Good game right there for the Matthews Honda Akira first
down here the thirty four yard line.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
So twelve yard pickup. That's I believe Bryce Pucket's first
reception on the season. Good to see them trying to
s the ball around a little bit on the carry
Blue Devil side of things.

Speaker 2 (45:03):
First ten thirty four yard line under center is coler
Bo's has a snap and then goes to Brandon Tannor
on the left side and he makes his way near
the forty yard line. He rams are over there making
the play. I think of soul Ezekie bald and Baldwin
being one of them, along with one Moucher.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
So a couple of carries ten yards now for Tanner.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
Yeah, tenor definitely a good weapon for of these carry
Blue Devils. Yeah. They definitely want to make sure that
he gets his huncheons out there, all right, So we
go with the second down and five from the thirty
nine for to carry Blue Devil's up seven to nothing
in this first quarter. Both has a snap that's all
the left side. He lies Steno, he's got a preeze
and breaks a tackle before stopped inside the forty five

(45:53):
yard line of Upper Sandusky. So another Matthew Hondaker first
down for the Carry Blue Devils in the forty four
yard line up.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
A territory seventeen yard pickup for Eli Steen. He's already
up to fifty eight yards on six carries, including the
twenty four yard touchdown, which is our score in the
game right now, seven to.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
Nothing, Carry Blue Devils leading Upper Sandusky. We had two
forty five to go in this first quarter. Yeah, let's
see it. First and ten, forty four yard line carry
with the ball. Boes with the snap, hands it off
to steam, moves to the left and pushes the pile
back a little bit across the forty yard line, stopped

(46:34):
at the thirty seven.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
It appears, my guess is this week they worked on
run blocking and they have done just an outstanding job. Again,
left tackle is nothing fancy, just going just to the
left to center and picking up real nice yardage all
night long.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Really seven yards there, second and three, second and three
from the thirty seven yard line for the carry. Blue
Devils going with the Maryland and a quarterback and snap
hims it off on the run and looks like, yeah,
minimal gain right there for a Pucket. So Mace Pucket

(47:12):
getting for the first an opportunity. Yep, it is Matthew
Tnakira first down for the carry Lute Temples at the
thirty four yard high. I that was Mace Pucket on

(47:35):
that carrie.

Speaker 1 (47:35):
It's heard the yeah with the eighth, it was kind
of crinkled and I couldn't tell if it was an eight.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
Or a zero. First ten, thirty four yard line bowse
goes to Brandon Tanner, this time he gets blasted from
behind by Ethan Lewis at the thirty yard line. So
pick up a four of that time for Brandon Tanner. Yeah.
I really like what Carry's doing here.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
They've been alternating single setback and then you mentioned maryland
I on that play. They've been going back and forth,
coming out in some different settings and they're definitely keeping
the defense off balance, doing a real good job with
the offensive line on this, especially that left side. They
just keep going there. They said, you've got to stop
us before we're going to do something different.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Second and six from the thirty as they go to
the ground, hand it off to Eli Stee who makes
it to the twenty four yard line. Yeah, that's yeah,
they are calling it. It does peer. Yep, he got it.
So Matthew's hot actor first down four, Steed and Carrie
to the twenty four thirty five seconds remaining in this

(48:47):
first quarter. See if they just work down some cluck
or they go aggressive here before the end of the first.

Speaker 1 (48:56):
Yeah, Rsondusky's going to have to try to do something here.
Come up with a turn and over. Just not able
to stop the bleeding and on much of any drive in.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
The first half, so far this seen from the twenty
four snap back and hand it off to Eli st
who makes it to the twenty yard line, likely the
last play of the first quarter with three seconds remaining
in it.

Speaker 19 (49:19):
And that is that.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
So on our Wilson Tire scoreboard at the end of
one it is carry seven the Persandusky Zeros. We'll step away,
come back forward to start of the second quarter. So
Matthews Subacer Game of the Week, I'll mentioned ninety five
nine and Heart Radio.

The twenty back to the ground carry Blue Devil's Eli
Steed on the move and looks like they pre sent
Dusky Rams with Ethan Lewis a particular We're ready for
that play. Lewis the first to make that tackle for
the Rams. Seven to nothing is the carry lead starting
off the second quarter versus the upper Sat Dusky Rams

(51:03):
carry Blue Devils, wanting to obviously add to the touchdown edge.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
Yeah, they had a forty eight dry yard touchdown drive
and that was our seven to nothing first quarter score,
the only score in the first quarter.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
But on the move again here third and five from
the nineteen yard line under center Bows goes up to
the up man to dash Pucket. Oh, he with a
charge with the legs getting the extra effort pushing them back.
Max Martinez was able to hang on to him along
with Parker Mauser, but absolutely Matthew Honaki Refirst down for

(51:37):
the Cary Blue Devils inside the ten.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
Haven't seen the official spotlet. Look looks to be a
the eight, so eleven yard pickup.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah, that appears to be the case to me as well.

Speaker 1 (51:55):
Dash buckets first carry. He comes into the ballgame. It's
averaging three point nine just and.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Goal here from the eight. Here is Steen on the
run right side. Multiple tacklers over there, including Owen Mouser
and Max Martinez. Upper Sandusky stopped near the five. It
might be the six yard line. Looks like it's a
six yard line. A couple of yards.

Speaker 1 (52:18):
Real nice first quarter, seventy five yards on nine carries.
I just added three more on a couple carries here
in the second quarter for Eli Steen.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
Up to seventy eight now so second and goal from
the sixty yard claw for carry trying to add to
the seven to nothing lead. Early in the second quarter
under center is Kyler Bows handed off. Eli Steen does
he have another one, If so, not yet as he
stops shy of the goal line. Bax and Rimmer and

(52:49):
Ethan lewis in there on that play, and Brody Cox
got his hands on him as well. So good job
repres Sandusky making that stop. But they know that they
know what's coming. Carrie is likely to keep it on
the ground. Yeah, they've done the vast majority.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Only attempted one pass here tonight outside of or completed
one pass, I should say, Bryce Bucket. Yeah, for twelve
yards and two passes on the whole night so far.
Third go from the three bows with it goes to
Mace Pucket on.

Speaker 5 (53:22):
The run and he's in for a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
The sophomore Mace Pucket with a three yard run and
they carry blue Devils go up two stores with that touchdown.
Brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers Colo.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Yeah, that was reminiscent of Eli Steen's sophomore year. He
doesn't do anything fancy either, just keeps those lights churning.
Wouldn't go down, wouldn't go down into the Inzell.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
Nathan Gary for the point after Oh, that one blocked
at the line of scrimmage. So the upper Saidusky Rams,
they are pumped right there. It might have been Ignica
who got his hands on there, but regardless, that is
not a successful extra point. So on our Wilson Tyre scoreboard,
it is carry thirteen Upper Sandusky still at zero nine

(54:10):
twenty five to go in the second quarter. So Matthew
Swndaker came out of the week on Matthew Dowty five
to nine at the Heart Radio.

High School Football Magic in ninety five nine, Carry blue
Devils and increase the lead. It's up thirteen to nothing
as we get a kickoff for Gary end Over in
and on the back pedal, the catch made by Parker
Malgard is up or for the Upper Sandusky Rams across
the thirty yard line. Upper Sandusky trying to find a

(55:44):
way to get some points on the board.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
Here to nine eighty yard touchdown drive as we mentioned,
all on the ground capped off with a all except
for twelve yards to pass the Brice pucket and a
three yard touchdown run by Mace puck it for our
fort or excuse me, thirteen to nothing to score extra
point was missed?

Speaker 2 (56:08):
All right, let's do it here first and ten thirty
two yard high and a percent doesn't give me the
ball training to get thirteen to nothing. Quarterback Justin how
mcclap his hands as a snap looks a quick release here, oh,
through the hands of Caleb Francis, and then a flag
comes out late. There was here to be some contact
away from that Max Martinez and Casey Sherman.

Speaker 1 (56:30):
Let's see, Yeah, they've got a hold. There was a
preliminary indication against Max Martinez. He literally pulled down the
defender there and unfortunately ran right into Caleb Francis. So
whether or not there was a penalty, that was an
incomplete pass as you called, and just not a heads
up played.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
By Max Martinez. So the hold there is confirmed by
our referee Shaw Common tonight. So there you go. Yeah,
some of those mistakes sick obviously can't have him in
the tight football game and against how rival they know it.
But there's also the importance of just being able to
fight through some of those things. You know you got

(57:10):
to do it, just have to do it. Sow it is.
He has a ball at the O twenty two yard
line now, so yeah, three.

Speaker 1 (57:19):
Down linemen for carry on the defensive side of things.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
Ursey twenty here as quarterback home and goes to Martinez,
loads up to throw it himself down the field looking
for Fancas paw. It is picked up by Trip Phoenix
heads up to forty five, comes a cossmit field forty five.
The other way comes up to the forty yard line.
Thirty five had been knocked on the bounds of the
thirty yard line by Martinez. Wow, Trip Phoenix coming up

(57:43):
with the premiere optometry group turnover for the carry blue temples.
He is an athlete.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
Yeah, that pass the left hander Max Martinez threw it
up there and it looked like his receiver was going
to be able to get under it. But Trip Phoenix
had some other ideas, and you see him on the
field just about the entire night special teams, punt unit, offense,
and defense, And there he was with a beautiful interception

(58:12):
and some nifty moves on the return. He got about
twenty five yards on that return back after the interception,
So puts.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
The ball at the thirty yard line and up per territory.
Carry with the ball. Did he get thirteen to nothing
in the second quarter from the shotgun snap bows he
entered off the eli'steen runs up the bed. All good run.
He is stopped. He had a notion but was stopped
across the twenty five yard line. Looks like it said
the twenty three. So another nice run there for Eli Steen.

(58:40):
He puts the pressure on the defensive front. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
Yeah, this carry Blue Devil offense. They are just not
to be denied right now. They are just moving people around.
And when you got a back like Eli Steen. Actually,
all the backs that they've had tonight have had success.
There's has been very few rushes, none tackle for loss
on the rush.

Speaker 2 (59:04):
Zeck it down in three from the twenty three yard line,
heading toward the red zone. Quarterback has a snap, Bows
fakes the handoff, throw, steps into it and it is incomplete.
Looking for Lucas Smith Hayward near the ten yard line.
So yeah, brings on third.

Speaker 1 (59:22):
Down Parker Mouser on the coverage there, But that one,
as you mentioned, just thrown behind. So one of three
on the night in twelve yards for Kyler Bows. Third
and relatively short and definitely this is Jonathan Mershman four
down territory. With the ball spotted on the upper Sandusky
twenty three yard line, they need to get it just

(59:44):
inside the twenty.

Speaker 2 (59:45):
Let's see how they attack it. Yes, third and three,
twenty three yard line, leading at thirteen to nothing, second quarter,
they stuck it up quarterback has a snap, hands off
Eli Steen and he looks a busted loose and yes,
he plows forward across the twenty yard line to about
the nineteen maybe the eighteen. It is a Matthews Hondakira
first down. It is marked at the nineteen yard high. Yeah,

(01:00:06):
you mentioned flows.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
Parker Mouser just basically sacrificing his body in that situation
to make the tackle. He got run over, but he'd
at least saved the touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Yeah, you gotta put put yourself out there in those situations. Yeah,
some young players and coach Hall was talking about that,
but some opportunities to get out there, and yeah they're hitting.
So first in ten from the nineteen yard line in
the red zone, quarterback Bose under center has a snap.
Pictures it to the left side. It's Trip Phoenix on

(01:00:39):
the move fifteen yard line. Little stip farm against Parker
Mouser and was able to make it close over there
to that ten yard time. Good job there for Trip Phoenix. Again,
very close to.

Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
A first down. Looks to be about a yard shy,
so they'll have to get it to the nine yard line. Yeah,
got very very close.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Er did. Got seven minutes remaining in the second quarter,
Carrie trying to add to a thirteen to nothing a lead,
needing a yard from the ten Beck has it and
they go to Tannor and he is able to spill
forward across the five. Certainly enough for the Matthews, Honta Akurra,
First Town and the Blue Devils. They'll have up to

(01:01:24):
four cracks at it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:26):
Yeah, you know you're having a good night when you're
upset that you only picked up six yards in the
red zone and he wanted that score. He could smell
that goal line. Another time out called for here by
Upper Sandusky. They will discuss their goal line defense.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Upper Sandusky Rams take the quest. Federal Credit Union time
out will take it as well. Thirteen to nothing carry
leads up for Sandusky six forty one to go in
the second quarter.

Speaker 15 (01:01:53):
Hello and welcome to Matthews, Honda and Matthew's accurate side
by side in Marion.

Speaker 4 (01:01:57):

Speaker 16 (01:02:08):

Speaker 15 (01:02:13):

you name it.

Speaker 16 (01:02:19):
You're making haunting too easy here, Matthews Honda and Matthew's Acura.

Speaker 4 (01:02:22):

we make it easy.

Speaker 15 (01:02:47):
That's Matthews with one t so much more in one
location to qualify buyers.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
So first a goal from the four. Eli Steen the
ball carrier, and he was turned away. Saw Max Martinez
sitting there on that play along with Nathan Lewis, the
senior soup didn't get in that time, but they'll try
it again from the three. Well, if you're looking for
moral victories.

Speaker 1 (01:03:15):
Eli Steen runs of one, two, three, four and one
here in the second quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
Second and goal from the three. Here Steen runs right
at the mid all the rams there there, multiple rams
there ready to stop him. They pretty much had an
idea what they wanted to do. Saw Mason Schaeffer among
the tacklers for Upper Sandusky. Good job for him, down
to the.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
One yard line, picked up a couple there, eighty eight
yards now on fifteen carries. But coach for Upper Sandusky
has decided that well, somebody's gonna beat us, but it's
not gonna be Eli Steen. They have basically put the
clamps on them. Let's see what they can do here
with just a long one yard to go for the touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Yeah, so here we go. Let's see they've finishing to two.
They give it up to Brandon Tanner, dragged from behind
by Lewis, but he's able to get in for a
two yard score. Well done, another touchdown, brought to you
by the Central Ohio Farmers co Op. So it's Brandon
Tanner at this time who gets to celebrate for the

(01:04:23):
Blue Devils.

Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
Tanner getting to finish the unfinished business. He wanted the
touchdown before couldn't get it. But two carries later and
they are.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
At pay dirt again, and what a start, What a quarter.
Nathan Gary tries to tack it on and yeah, as
long as you don't block it, he can make it.
So there you go. It's a good after point there.
Four Nathan Geary, so on ours entire scoreboard, did his
carry twenty and Upper Sandusky zero five twenty one to

(01:04:56):
go until halftime. So bred with us for our matthew'sn

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
High school football Magic ninety five nine is getting ready
for that Ohio State Aaron kickoff. As here we go
for San Dusky. It's a twenty eight return Ezekiel Baldwin
plus twenty five to thirty thirty five in stop shy
the forty yard line looked like he's brought down from
behind by Carter Bains. So yeah, that was just inches

(01:06:29):
away from perhaps and being a super huge game there
for his eke bald when he's got the speed. But
uh hey, not bad. Yeah, brought down at the thirty
eight yard line. Amber saying Dusky with the ball to
really get twenty to nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
Now they're about a twenty five yard return and Baldwin
doing a good job with that. They actually went up
the middle. Very rarely to see kick return go up
the middle, but they had a nice little crease and
good blocking up front.

Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Get the first to ten thirty yard line.

Speaker 5 (01:07:03):
Oh, it's probably had some bringing down. The ball comes
out and the Blue Debles have the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
So Logan Smiley with a great play to get the
tackle of the sec to get an out of there
and then recovering the ball. Levi Bowling for the Blue Devils.

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Yeah, Logan's Summit went the strip there and just heads
up play all the way around. There were three or
four bodies flying around there for the Carry Blue Devils
and they made sure they got it. Good pickup did
you have Gavin Snyder looked like to me the Gavin
Snyder came off the bottom of the pile.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Levi Bolling by Bolt is the one who recovered the ball.
But yes, Logan Summon credited for the premier optometry group
turnover in favor of the Carry Blue Devils. He's the
one who got that ball out of there. So from
the thirty six yard line it is first and ten
and it's that Kerry Blue Devils have the ball, and
it is those not able to get away from Nathan

(01:08:00):
Lewis and Ethan Lewis along with Brody Cox for Upper
Sandusky's a good d right there brother Rams stopping him at.

Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
The line of scrimmage, first tackle for loss for the
game for the Upper Sandusky Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
Yeah. So yeah, it's back to about the thirty seven, right,
So not a loss of a yard on that one. Yeah, Rams,
They could use some more of those types of plays.
McCarry's not gonna make it easy obviously. All Right, So
we get a second down and living from the thirty
seven yard line, and the quarterback Boughs as a snap

(01:08:40):
goes back to Eli Steen, changes direction and then flies
forward across the thirty five yard line to the thirty three.
So it looks like a four yard gade there for
Eli Steen. And he seems so energetic tonight, really spry,
and he's just ready to hit somebody while he's holding
the football, you know. This season, Yeah, he's not really

(01:09:03):
called the play defense. He can obviously, he did a
last year very very well at defensive end, but he
had got some other players doing that and have him
focus on running and blocking.

Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
Yeah, it's a heavy workload that he has, so tough
to go on both sides of the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
Yeah. Each play, get the third seven thirty three yard line,
quarterback bows on the run, all with a strike there
to Phoenix tackled there by Caleb Francis, and then a
little bit of extra there by Ethan Lewis. That was
near the thirty three yard line. I'm not quite sure
where they're going to mark the ball, but yeah, is

(01:09:41):
a nice connection there. But yeah, the Rams just did
not let him get away.

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
Yeah in the crowd. He might have heard the ooze
and ohs from the crowd. They I heard it at
a late hit the coaching staff screaming in the ears
of the official. But no laundry on the field. So
fourth and short, fourth and two.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
Yeah, so they have spotted that ball at the twenty
eighty yard line. Let's see a fourth ad two. Yes,
ind leading at twenty to nothing late in the second
quarter under center his color bos has a snap, goes
to the yep man dash Pucket and yes, Pucket able
to get across the twenty one It appears, Yes, Matthew

(01:10:17):
Hondah Matthew's how to accurate first down for the carry
Blue Devils at two forty five to go to left.

Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
Really like what I'm seeing out of the Kerry Blue
Devil offense. They are absolutely mixing things up. This is
not the same team that we saw early in the
season where just about everything went to Eli Steen. Yes
he's a great back, but you got a lot of weapons.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
Starts at ten twenty one, this time pitching to Brandon Tanner,
and Tanner gets wrapped up near the twenty yard line. Yep,
maybe a yard right there for Tenner. We head toward

(01:11:03):
that two minutes mark out of the second quarter, getting
ready for halftime. Hope you'll join us for our reading
transagency halftime show. Of course, we'll have some stats. I
know you've been working on that gym, of course, a
lot of scores from around the area. Checking down the
had nine from the twenty yard line. Quarterback has a
snappows pitches it off to the left side, see what

(01:11:26):
phoenix can do, and he is smashed out of bounds
by Caleb Francis, Ezekiel Baldwin and Ethan Lewis. So a
lot of rams over there to pursue. Yep. So where
is at the seventeen Yeah about a three yard game?

(01:11:47):
Well maybe four? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, that's yeah, four yards
here we go, Yeah, with one thirty seven remaining. Yeah,
so again went out of bounds. Did stop the clock?
They reset the ballots where they put it near side
hash alright third down and six seventeen yard line under
center caler Bose as a snap and stuck seed. They

(01:12:08):
didn't notice that he's the one who got the ball,
and he stuck away and tasted it to the in
zone for seventeen yards put on the left side. He
lies ted with a second rushing touchdown of the night.

Speaker 1 (01:12:19):
Real nice job by the offense. Everybody sold that everybody
was moving right. Eli Steen was the only one who
went left, and unfortunately Upper Sandusky took it bait line
and sinker, and unfortunately they're down twenty six to nothing
with the Gary extra point pending touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
Brought to you by the Central Ohio Farmers co Op. Yes,
Nathan Garyaldy ended off here to sermon who throws it
towards the zone incomplete on a little post route that
he was trying to find Brady Atkins. So not successful
on the two point conversion. So on our wist entire scoreboard,

(01:12:58):
it is Carrie twenty sixth sent zero one and a
half remaining ntil halftime. If there's are Matthews Hobach for
a game of the week, a magic ninety five to
nine and Dieheart Radio.

Carry Blue Devils leading at twenty six to nothing, a
minute and a half to go until halftime. House State
Marian kickoff here from Nathan Gary and this one caught
seventeen yard line by picking Bustley for um FORER Sandusky
and he gets hit there. They're at the thirty yard line,

(01:14:32):
so Upper Sandusky. Not a whole lot of time to
work with, but they just gotta they gotta go with
their hurry up one twenty three waiting until halftime, down
twenty six, so nothing definitely in their playbook. They've been
practicing this, now a chance to show it now messing
around Sometimes that's when the plays work the best, when

(01:14:54):
you know you just gotta move.

Speaker 1 (01:14:56):
Yeah, and I believe they are down to two timeouts left,
so with the sidelines they're passing game et cetera, so
that they can.

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
Stop the clock first and ten thirty yard line. Just
Holman gets the snap, he looks to his left and
puts it up a pass that one is incomplete. Stop
the clock, looking for at Caleb Francis near the forty
arc line. Stops at a one eighteen to go until halftime,

(01:15:31):
just a slight bit of win picking up here can
affect some of those passes. As we get a second down,
hand ten from the thirty four first Sandusky. If we
have trips formation to the right, one to the left,
that is Martinez Alman.

Speaker 11 (01:15:43):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
He decides to hold things up as he looks over
towards his sideline the near side receiver he is his
brother Josh Holman. Justin takes a snap and then swings
it over on the near side, caught and tackled across
the thirty yard line. Kid vocal the receiver for Upper Sandusky.

(01:16:05):
That time one oh three to go until a halftime clock.
Continuing to move.

Speaker 1 (01:16:11):
Here only the second completion in ten attempts to go
with an interception for Justin Hilman.

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
But positive yardage there and a nice look and play
all right, So third down and seven from the thirty
three the yard line. Let's see how they tackle this one.
Because not much time left. Justin Hollman claps his hands,
has the snap, quickly looks left. He's under some pressure,

(01:16:38):
has to try to run away and lets it go
on the run. And that one incomplete on the far sideline,
leaving twenty seven seconds and it's fourth down because we
head toward halftime. So yeah, they tried it. They knew
the situation, wanted to get some first out to the air,

(01:17:00):
had to move quickly. But with twenty seven seconds left
until they have Tom Brake appears that they're going to
be pumping this ball away down twenty six to two nothing. Yeah,
do you have to watch for the Blue Devils because
they've got some good returners. So Josh Holman a nice
high pund once again, what a leg he has, trimp

(01:17:21):
Phoenix stays away from it as it bounces around. Kaylor
Francis for Sandusky is able to stop it at the
thirty one yard line, so only eighteen seconds left ol halftime.
Carrie with that twenty six and nothing lead. Main thing
is they know they just don't want to turn over
the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
A little easier to kick with that win to thirty
six yards no return there, so uh, nice job.

Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
Never easy for opposing teams here at Carrie, that is
for sure, all right. So first at ten one yard
line for Carrie is the first half winds down under
center Mose. They do run a play as they pitch
it to the left side the death pucket to.

Speaker 5 (01:18:09):
Forty yard line forty five, ripped down.

Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
By Ethan Lewis's near midfield. There's still ten seconds to
the piers, and of course we do get a quest
Federal Credit Union the time out called by Carrie. They
want to use this, so yeah, if there's any notion
that they would just run out the clock, nope, they
are thinking potentially another score with these ten seconds remaining

(01:18:33):
until I.

Speaker 1 (01:18:34):
Bring yeah, eighteen yard rush there and real nice design play,
good pickup so well, actually they moved it back to
the yeah forty eight, so that's right, still seventeen yards.

Speaker 2 (01:18:48):
Looking for something via the pass.

Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
We saw a couple hooks and ladders last week, and
see if we can come up with Carrie has something
in the trickery playbook, or if they just decide to
do what they do. Trip Phoenix, of course, one of
their top receivers.

Speaker 2 (01:19:14):
Like to go his way, all right. So coming out
of what might be the final Matthews Hodaker first down
of the half, here we go first and ten forty
nine yard line ten or in motion. Thet's snap back
and it's directly to Trip Phoenix. He's running around, he
shows his arm, puts it up in the air and

(01:19:34):
to fight for a downfield incomplete knocked down by the
secondary for the Rams. Yeah, they were trying to find
Kyler Burtons down there. Do you have two seconds left though?
Get to try it one more time? Why not that? Yeah,
they're definitely having a good time. But yeah, they also

(01:19:55):
they want this win and they want to continue that
process of improvement in the season. We've seen it. We've
seen it so many times for Carrie. They get better
and better as the season goes along. All Right, We're
thinking the final play of the first half or two
seconds left of twenty six to nothing, Carry Blue Devils,
and they add to it. Staff is back, caller bows
back in the quarterback run around, lets it fly down field.

(01:20:18):
He's got Trip Phoenix twenty five twenty to the fifteenth
heading twenty ends of his turn for a touchdown.

Speaker 5 (01:20:26):
Unbelievable, the fifty one yard play for the Carry Blue
Devils with time expiring in the first half.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
I cannot really believe they pulled that off, but they did. Yeah,
they crossed.

Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Trip Phoenix was set up.

Speaker 1 (01:20:42):
It basically looked like an eye formation with the two
receivers out on the left. Trip Phoenix faked out and
then cut back into the inside and he just went
towards the goalpost and then he went all the way
around on the right side.

Speaker 2 (01:20:55):
Beautiful play, touchdown brought to you by the Central Hello
Farmers co Op. We get the extra point that is
up that three or four Nathan Geary's on our Wilson
Tire scoreboard makes it thirty three to nothing. Carrie leading
up for Sandusky as we go to the break. That
is about as dramatic as you can have for an
ending of the first half.

Speaker 1 (01:21:17):
Yeah, I'll tell you what, that's got to feel really
good if you're Kyler Bowse as well. He's had a
really rough start to the season and to be able
to get that first touchdown on the home field in
front of the home crowd, getting all those cheers and stuff,
that can only boost his confidence and puts the score
up to thirty three nothing. So that will mean the

(01:21:38):
running clock in the second half. So mission accomplished if
you're the Carry Blue Devils, and back to the drawing
board if you're the Upper Sandusky Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
All right, well we'll take a break and we'll come
back for our Read Insurance Agency halftime show. In turns
from a name you know and trust, of course, we'll
have some stats and then you know we're gonna get
some scores. You know, we're gonna look around for you
and get some scores in the area. But our score
here on ours tower scoreboard, Carrie, thirty three Upper, said

(01:22:10):
Dusky Zeros. We'll bring you back for a Rechurch Agency
halftime shows. We're glad you're with us. From Matthews Hondaker
Game of the Week, I'm Matic ninety five nine and
iHeartRadio High School Football Magic ninety five and nine. Here
and Carrie, as we continue with our read in Turt's

(01:22:31):
Agency halftime show, thirty three to nothing is the lead
in favor of the carry Blue Devils on the visiting Upper,
said Dusky Rams. And certainly a story we are following
is undefeated Colonel Crawford having a tough time against the
Mohawk Warriors. And yeah, Mohawks, certainly the Warriors they've been

(01:22:54):
talking about, you know, being in ten contenders for sure,
and that would make a huge statement starting off conference play.
They get a victory on Colonel Crawford is twenty eight
to seven. That's still the score that I'm seeing posted
in favor of a Mohawk and you're just checking out
some of the updates. If you follow Lonnie online, he
does a great job of giving some of the the

(01:23:16):
tails what's happening in the game. And from what I
saw there, it was, Yeah, Caleb Bisher was having a
fantastic performance for the Warriors. So he's got a couple
of touchdown receptions from what I read there, and both
obviously from the quarterback Ben Bogner, and also a seventy
nine yard punt return for a touchdown for a Caleb Bishel. Wow,

(01:23:37):
that you don't see one of those every day that
are touchdown for the Warriors coming from the senior Caine Hayman.
So yeah, I'm sure Mohawk fans are absolutely thrilled and
pumped up. But one thing I'll say about Colonel Crawford,
knowing the history of the Eagles, they don't go down
without a fight. So even though it's a twenty eight
to seven game in favor of Mohawk, that doesn't mean that. Yeah,

(01:23:59):
they can count as a victory as of right now,
and Eric Daniel and the staff they totally get that.

Speaker 1 (01:24:05):
Yeah, absolutely, But it's a great start for Mohawk and
see if they can continue on and as you mentioned,
that'll be our game coverage next week.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
So looking forward to seeing Mohawk.

Speaker 1 (01:24:17):
For the second time this year when they face off
against Bucyrus. But see if they can hold the line
against a very tough and worthy opponent.

Speaker 2 (01:24:25):
In Colonel Crawford. And that just goes to show you.

Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
You know, you come into conference play, everybody starts off
zero and zero, and you know you're going to have
to battle each night and doesn't matter who the opponent
is or what the records are. Kerry comes into this
one oh and three and they are up big at
halftime against Upper Sandusky and.

Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
Looking to get their first victory.

Speaker 1 (01:24:50):
But keep that twenty one to oh last three seasons
undefeated streak going, and they've definitely got a good start here.
Barring some kind of monstrous miracle from the Upper Sandusky Rams,
they look like they're in a great position to continue
to come.

Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
Up with their first victory on the home field.

Speaker 1 (01:25:13):
Thirty three to nothing is our halftime score, and hearing
sounds of the band.

Speaker 21 (01:25:22):
Come office here, always showing from the stuff Ry.

Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
This season, Come on Joy starting off and from ye.

Speaker 1 (01:25:44):
Down our opening during bust down here and Ice Breeze
coming out of the thorns from Carry Blue Devils warming
up in their north offensive end zone end.

Speaker 2 (01:26:00):
Right on. That's exactly what we're seeing. So yeah, just
a little more than three minutes away from the start
of the second half. So I'll get one last break
in here and come back and we'll get things rolling
for half number two of week four. So it is
thirty three to nothing on the Wilson Entire scoreboard. Carry

Five nine. As we're getting sent for the second half
of play for wrapping up a Reasurance Agency halftime show,
it's thirty three to nothing. Carry with the lead. Oh
enough vers hand does ay the Rams. They've gotta figure
something out and fortunately the Rams will have to start
off on defense for the second half. Well they're about

(01:28:01):
to make that official, but yeah, we know how it goes.
Carroll get the choice this time, and of course, so
I elect to to take the football. Yeah, Blue Devils. Yeah,
it's gonna appreciate the multiple weapons that they have employed tonight.
They like to work the ground game, and obviously Eli
Steen is right at the heart of that first teamer.

(01:28:23):
But yeah, getting Trip Phoenix involved, that's been very very helpful.
Brandon Tanner, he's been doing this thing out there, and
obviously the quarterback himself, Collar Bows. He can run that
football and when he is a threat to do that,
that tends to send up some of the passing opportunities.
So things are really looking really good for Carrie Ride now.

Speaker 1 (01:28:46):
Yeah, just a really excellent first half. I thought the
first game that we saw this season with Carrie that
they look pretty much one dimensional. You know, it was
like Eli Stein or Bust. And now you know they're
coming out with multiple offensive sets, and you had a
ton of graduation last year.

Speaker 2 (01:29:05):
You have a lot of new people and as.

Speaker 1 (01:29:07):
You mentioned, people changing some positions around, so a lot
of things to work on and a lot of things
to digest heading into the first three games. And then
you're facing three very high quality opponents, and you know
they can make you look bad real quick, you know,
especially teams like the Hope Well alloudin game that we covered,

(01:29:31):
very accomplished both offensively and defensively, and they were just
making Kyler Bow's life a very miserable night, much the
same way that the Kerry Blue Devil defense has made
Hilman's night difficult on the eppers and dusky.

Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
Side of things.

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
But you know, yes, Eli Stein a phenomenal back and
can do phenomenal things out and here. But in that
second quarter, outside that seventeen yard touchdown run right near
the end of the half, Eli Steen, he was held
to rushes of one two, three, four, one two and

(01:30:11):
then he pulled off the seventeen yard or for the touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
So they keyed on him.

Speaker 1 (01:30:16):
And if he's your only thing, then you know every
team can key on him. But now we've had what one, two, three,
four or five six different ball carriers in the game,
and then two different pass receivers, so and just a
number of looks that they're showing.

Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
That's what's been key here, Kirk.

Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
They come out with not just the Maryland I, which
of course you know we've seen forever with the Kerry
Blue Devils, but they've come out in shotgun.

Speaker 2 (01:30:43):
They've come out with single setback. They have done some
and a rounds with.

Speaker 1 (01:30:48):
Trip Phoenix, one real big one that got called back
due to a penalty. But they have shown the defense
many different things and I don't know if some of
these are new wrinkles. You know, obviously the Maryland I
you know, like I said, everybody's seen for years and years.
But even with that, everyone's moving one way on a play,

(01:31:12):
and that seventeen yard touchdown to Eli Stein, he was
the only one moving to the left.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
Everyone else moved right.

Speaker 1 (01:31:18):
And excellent ballfake by Kyler Bows, Excellent ball fakes by
the two running backs ahead of Eli Stein. And you
know he was able to fool everyone, and they did it.
And here's the second half kickoff.

Speaker 2 (01:31:30):
The kickoff brought to Browse State Mary and Kobe Battle
Cheese and we're gonna get a return from Smith Hayward
finding alley on. He just got tripped up near the
thirty five yard line. Oh my gosh, that could have
been huge for Luca. Smith Hayward up for Sandusky. Got
a look at air trip.

Speaker 1 (01:31:50):
Phoenix is so mad at himself because actually Smith Hayward
tripped over his foot totally unintentional. He's trying to make
a block and unfortunately his leg kind of got stuck
out when he made that block. And Smith Hayward, boy,
he could have had it all if he wouldn't have
been tripped by his own player there.

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
All right, we got first and ten from the thirty
five yard line Carrie with the ball going to the
ground and uh yeah making it a positive run there,
but yeah, not a whole lot for coler Booze. Yeah,
he's one of the just sort of held on to
that ball that would maybe a couple of yards out

(01:32:35):
of it, even three. Yeah, maybe got three yards out
of that. So yeah, good work there for coler Booze. Yeah,
stick it down and seven and this time handed off
right side, Brandon Tanner met first by Ethan Lewis. As

(01:32:58):
Tanner stopped shy of the forty five yard line is
where he needed to reach for the first down. So
just a yard short as that, but yeah, they keep
working it on the ground.

Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Six yard pickup for Tanner. And I really like what
I've seen out of Tanner tonight. We've typically seen him
in nearly just the goal line situations, but he's already
up to six carries for twenty four yards.

Speaker 2 (01:33:23):
Just a solid night.

Speaker 1 (01:33:24):
He does have a couple of one yard runs, but
a run of five, five, six, and then that one.

Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
Yeah from the fort four. Here we go with Tanner
again right side and the extra efforts bouncing to the outside.
Tanner is able to pull it off as Ethan Lewis
in there for the tackle for Upper Sandusky, but Matthew's
Hondaeker first down four carry.

Speaker 1 (01:33:48):
Yeah, Chase Stone with a nice block even from his
receiver position because that one came way outside of the
Hash marks to the right side and Eli Steen doing
a good job up front as well, along with the
right side of the offensive line, for they've run an
awful lot to the left tonight, but the right side
doing a great job there.

Speaker 2 (01:34:07):
So good job to ten from the forty six yard line,
snap back to the bows under some pressure, tries to
get away those who have been all the hands up.
Jase doone, and he knows that was an opportunity there
near the forty yard line at the far side Hash.
But he'll get some more opportunities. The junior who's six

(01:34:28):
foot four, so yeah, he's he's a good one.

Speaker 1 (01:34:31):
Yep, big target to look for and he'll be seeing
that one in his nightmares tonight, over and over.

Speaker 22 (01:34:37):
They even if he does get a score later and
he's like, oh, I could have had another one maybe,
Oh my goodness, second down and ten, forty six yard
line under center Kyler bows has the snap, pitches a
back right side Brandon Tenners.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
Martinez wraps him up and get some help on the
near side. The tackle near midfield. Looks like he did
get a cross the fifty. See if they spot it
to the forty nine yard line. Yeah, the piers of
be the case. Yeah. Good job of Max Martinez to
get in there and sort of dive and to make
that tackle for a per se on Dusky.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
Yeah, especially when you had Eli Steen trying to mow
people down in front of him with a full head
of steam. That's a tough assignment. He accomplished it. Good
job by Max Martinez.

Speaker 2 (01:35:26):
Third and five from the forty nine yard line. Across
midfielder center color bros Kerry Blue dip foles up big
thirty three to nothing him off in the middle desk Pucket, Yep,
he knows we need spins Away gets the necessary yardage
to the forty yard line. Matthew's Honda Akira first down
for the carry, Blue.

Speaker 1 (01:35:42):
Devils nine yard pickup for dash Bucket. And I'll tell
you what, every time I see him play, he just
has such passion, whether it's offensively, defensively, special teams, he
is just out there and just never seems to be
at a loss for energy. He is all as churning
those legs, always spinning around. Just a real nice player.

Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
They initially put the ball at the forty and then
they readjusted it to the forty one. Still first down, obviously,
so he Blue devils with the ball under center. It's
caller Bows takes the handoff, works his way to the
right side, gets a block from Eli Steen, and then
multiple Tecklers come in and car Allum at the thirty
six yard line. Yeah, you want to talk about passion
right there? You know, Kyler Bows didn't just go down.

Speaker 1 (01:36:26):
I mean he lowered the shoulder and put some hurt
on some of the defensive players there.

Speaker 2 (01:36:32):
For the upper Sandusky rams five.

Speaker 1 (01:36:35):
Yard pickup and give him a total of sixteen yards
on three carries.

Speaker 2 (01:36:42):
He'll get some more opportunities, I'm sure, yep. As we
get a second down in five from the thirty six
yard line, other center caller bos back to the Maryland.
I has a snap, it goes to Eli, Steve burrows
through and stem stopped at the thirty. It appears.

Speaker 1 (01:37:02):
On a yard yard and a half shy of that
first down yard and she needs so call it third
and short.

Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Yeah, thirty two inside the near side hatch. All right,
that'll work. So dash Bucket comes out, makes Pucket back
out there on the field for the Blue Devils. Third
and one, thirty two yard line and Upper Territory can'ty
leading get thirty three to nothing. Other center or color

(01:37:28):
bos that's a snap. It goes to the up man Pucket.
It always push him back. What did he get? The
four progress and may have looks like they're movie change.
He shut it. I'm Matthew town Nagger. First down for carry,
so they broad May's fucking out there and he got
the job done. Oh he does have score on the

(01:37:50):
night where these Blue Devils leading get thirty three to nothing.
It was five and a half to go in the
third quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:37:58):
Yeah, Mace Puckett got the second down to the ball game,
capping an eighty yard drive in the second quarter, eight
yards on three carries for me first.

Speaker 2 (01:38:09):
Hand ten thirty yard line under center. Is the quarterback
bose again as a snap on the play action one
past stept in. He'll be brought down. Good for suit
there for Upper said Dusky Brody cut the one to
make the ultimate play for the Rams.

Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
Yeah, it was Nathan Lewis that spun him around, turned
him back in and there was just absolutely no time
to do anything on that one. Very nice job, a
little blitz action there. Three down linemen for that Upper
Sandusky squad doing a good job clogging things up in
the middle, letting those linebackers get in there and make.

Speaker 2 (01:38:43):
That tackle for loss. Ausco three on that to play
the ball back of the thirty three yard line, still
an upper territory. Of course, Gary Blue doubles leading at
thirty three to nothing, but four thirty three to go
in the third quarter, anther center's bows has a snap,
takes the handoff words to the left some room, fakes
a pitch, and keeps on going across a twenty yard
line where he ultimately gets stopped by Caleb Francis and

(01:39:07):
Ethan Lewis. So right there, just what he needed for
the Matthew's Onnacker rehears out.

Speaker 1 (01:39:18):
Yeah, thirteen yards on the play, so it gets to
three yards he lost, plus another ten back, so he's
up to twenty nine yards on five carries. And if
you get a chance to come out and watch him,
if you're a younger player, maybe JV Junior high.

Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
When you watch him, you watch his fakes.

Speaker 1 (01:39:35):
He carries out his fakes very well, as you mentioned
that fake pitch on that.

Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
Play, and he just really sells things. First and ten
from the twenty, as he hit the red zone, quarterback
bows he runs it after another fake, slips through and
able to get some extra yardage there. Zee Baldwin climbs
on his back and knocks him down around the twelve
yard line. But yeah, Bo's he's got the moves and
he understands how to use those fakes in order to

(01:40:01):
fool the defense.

Speaker 1 (01:40:02):
Yeah, and that's something we've seen over the years in
John Mershman coach teams, the offensive coordinators and quarterback coaches
doing a just a great job with teaching those skills
and you know, emphasizing the importance. You know, it makes
a huge difference if you're able to have a little
sleight of hand make the defense question for just a second.

Speaker 2 (01:40:25):
Second and two from twelve in the red zone quarterback
this time, Yeah, they get it to both handed off
Steen and he powers in well Eli Steen with a
twelve yard touchdower run for the carry Blue Deevils as
they are breaking it open touchdown brought to you by
the Central Ohio Farmers. Come on one hundred and twenty

(01:40:49):
yards on eighteen carries.

Speaker 1 (01:40:51):
And you know Eli Steen, you know he doesn't care
he's out there to block, He's out there to play football.

Speaker 2 (01:40:58):
It's nice to see him get a multi touchdown game.
Yeah for the point after up for Nathan Gary. It
is true And when you come back, it'll be your
running clog time. On the Wilson Tire scoreboard, it is
carried forty Yupper sed Dusky zero two twenty six to
go in the third. So glad you're with us. For Matthews,

Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
High School football Magic ninety five nine. It is forty
two nothing in favor of Carrie Versus visiting Upper Sandusky.
As we get a kickoff fielded at the fourteen, Caleb
Francis on the run and then he makes it across
the thirty five yard line and then gets pushed back
by Boston ferriter. All right, so yeah, Upper Sandusky obviously

(01:42:56):
couldnot mess around now down forty nothing, They know the
clock will be running for the most part. Got to
get the deficit to under thirty in order to get
back to normal clucking rules.

Speaker 1 (01:43:16):
So yeah, well makes it difficult to keep track of
things where exactly I guess I have to watch for
when the ball gets put down. So but that last
drive took almost nine minutes from the eleven ten mark
down to two twenty six for the carry Blue Devils
and capped by that twelve yard Eli Steen touchdown, his

(01:43:36):
third of the ballgame forty to nothing, carried.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
Ten from the thirty five yard line of Precandusky with
the ball and he handed off right side Ethan Lewis
from Heilman and the pickup to maybe three yards there.
So Ethan Lewis, Yeah, trying to get him going on
the ground. They know that if they just go complete
pass and may not work out for him, they got

(01:44:02):
to keep them varide he going and obviously incompletions won't
stop the clock anyway in this situation. As we're forty
eight seconds remaining in this third quarter, ever, with the
ball down forty to nothing, as we've got a second down,
had seven from they're on thirty eight yard law the

(01:44:24):
quarterback hunter center Heilman as a snap pitches the right
side Martinez Oh, and he gets drilled immediately bought a
Blue Devils and push back whistle Blue, but the Blue
Devils continued to bring him down. Saw dash Pucket among
the tacklers for Carrie. Yeah, he had no.

Speaker 1 (01:44:43):
Feet on the ground. Dash Pucket performed a rustling move.
It looked like he was going for the for the
lift and body slam takedown. He didn't slam him wisely,
but well maybe there is there a penalty. Did I
miss something?

Speaker 21 (01:45:00):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
Just the court? Okay, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:45:03):
Yeah, it looked like he was getting ready to mark
something off.

Speaker 2 (01:45:07):
So we'll take a break. So on our Wilson Tire
scoreboard it is carry forty first Antusky zero. We'll be
back for the fourth quarter with us for Matthew Ta Daker.

High school football Magic ninety five nine here and carry
the Blue Devils leading at forty two nothing on upper
Sandusky Eperson Dusky with the ball here as justin Holliman,
quick release over to Ethan Lewis tries to evade one
tackler and then no, he breaks through a couple of
tackles that look like over there across the forty yard line.
It is a running clock. So he stopped and on

(01:46:50):
that run flucker continue to run on this play anyway.
Forty to nothing is to carry lead and yeah, just
did not quite get to the first dem marker needed
to get to the forty five, made it to the
forty four. And yeah, just given the score situation, imagine
that they'll go for it here, needing a yard. So

(01:47:16):
we'll see how they approach it here. Yep, palm and
under center, needing a yard to get to the forty five. Oh,
Golley buch of movement. Not sure who went first, but
it looks like it's gets uper Sandusky. Yeah, so it
is a false start on the rams.

Speaker 1 (01:47:33):
Yeah, I think everyone knew the snapcount except for maybe
the center because there.

Speaker 2 (01:47:37):
Were at least three people I saw move on that.

Speaker 1 (01:47:40):
So now, unfortunately fourth and sixth they are going to
boot this one away. They might have just been trying
to draw them offside, but somebody didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:47:49):
Get the communication. Yeah, that's a tough thing. Yeah, if
that indeed was the plan, to just drum off and
not go Yeah, why is anybody? Why is that all moving?

Speaker 3 (01:47:58):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
Yeah, that's just a guess. So you know you're seeing
three people fire. I'm guessing that that's probably all. It
could be a fake it is Josh have a damn
field that makes a play to Ethan Lewis across midfield.
What a cutsy coal for Russell hole in the Upper
Sandusky rams. They're saying, hey, we are still in this fight.

(01:48:20):
It is a blowout right now. But that is what
you want to see from a team that is not
giving up. Matthews Hondaaker a first down. Josh Holman did
not pun it. Instead, he used his arm to hit
Ethan Lewis.

Speaker 1 (01:48:36):
Yeah, real, nice play. Thirteen yards for.

Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
Josh on that one. All right, So ball at the
forty eight yard line, cross midfield first and ten Upper
Sandusky running clock, railing, get forty to nothing in this
final frame, nine thirty three to go in and in
what do you get a whistle? Do we get a timeout?
What is happening all the timeout? Okay, all right, we'll
take it time out. Talk to you by the question.
Federal Credit Union to go in the fourth quarters forty

to nothing, carry leader for Sandusky for Matthews Sondacer Game

It's going to bring you back high school football Matthew
ninety five to nine. Just one play run there per Sandusky,
Max Martinez and brought down by Mace Puckett to score
forty to nothing in favor of Carrie. Upper Sandusky has
the football forty nine yard line in their own territory,
sitting down a second down and thirteen with a loss

(01:50:37):
on that play.

Speaker 1 (01:50:39):
Yeah, they had success with Martinez on the very first
play of the game, but it was called back due
to a penalty.

Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
Snap back here, quarterback? How many fines on us Land?
Martinez loops away from one tackler and then brought down
by Smith Hayward. Certainly enough for Matthew's hondaker first down
across the thirty five yard line, and Lucas Smith Hayward
was in position for the carry Blue Devils to make
that sauce.

Speaker 1 (01:51:06):
Sixteen yard pickup, longest pass play of the game for
the Justin Hilman and the Upper Sandusky rams. Max Martinez,
the recipient has twenty seven yards on a couple of receptions.

Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
All right, So yes, indeed makes it first down and
ten from the thirty four yard law two receivers to
the left of the formation from the crystal high snap
handled by Holman hands it off Ethan Lewis spins away
from dash Pucket. But there's help there where the carry
blue devil is able to make that stop at the
thirty three. It does look like to me, so maybe

(01:51:41):
a yard gained like Mace Bucket on.

Speaker 1 (01:51:45):
The final bringdown there dash Bucket with the initial hit
keeping it all in the family.

Speaker 2 (01:51:57):
Yeah, they're uh yeah, yeah, they got the ree buckets
out there playing football for to carry boot doubles. So yeah,
I hear you on that, all right. So second down
and nine thirty three yard line, Upper Sandusky trailing forty
to nothing in this fourth quarter, Quarterback Holman under some

(01:52:18):
presser that whistled down. That was obviously Lewis Watkins who
got over to him and took him down. But uh,
before that, yeah, it was a false start, a nupper. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:52:32):
Peyton Bosley the wide out, he looked over to check
with the official, but he looked like he was about
a half second too early before the ball was snapped
and was going forward. So that play just whistled dead
by the official and the loss of the five yards.

Speaker 2 (01:52:51):
Very well, all right. So, uh, second down, fourteen thirty
eight yard line. Two receivers are left, one to the right,
one shifting it's Cox's quarterback has a snap, hands it
off to the left side of Vocal with the speed
and he's able to get his way across the twenty.
Looks like he's near to fifteen. Yeah, that's for sure,

(01:53:13):
Matthews Honaker first Town for Cayden Vocal.

Speaker 1 (01:53:17):
Junior twenty three yard gain. That's their longest gain from
scrimmage via the run.

Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
All right, So in the red zone here we go
from the fifteen first and ten of per Sandusky looking
for some points. Really get forty to the thing here
red carry, see what they could come up with. Justin Holman,
he's in the shotka, he's in huggle in motion. He
sets up in the sloth and here's a snap back
to Holman. He's got good protection. Let's go of a
password the end zone by batted down incomplete by Mace Puckett.

(01:53:58):
He got his right paw in there and denied an
opportunity Indian zone for Cox.

Speaker 1 (01:54:07):
And Cox might have come down wrong on uh Ooh yeah,
he's sat back down in the end zone.

Speaker 2 (01:54:15):
Not sure what happened there, Maybe just a cramp. We
shall see. He is still seated there, so uh his
upper standisky trainer Rowan Richie is out there to check
it on him for this quest Federal Credit Union injury
time out and some of these are quite fast. And yes,
indeed he is back up to his feet and uh yeah,

(01:54:38):
so he'll be out at least for play and uh,
we won't speculate on anything, but the good news is
he is walking on his own power. Yes, slowly, but
uh he is up on his feet.

Speaker 1 (01:54:50):
Yeah, he was fully extended trying to grab that throw
on able to haul it in, but uh, given his
best effort out there, and looks like he's gonna be okay, knock.

Speaker 2 (01:55:00):
On wood, no doubt about that.

Speaker 11 (01:55:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:55:05):
So five thirty five remaining in the fourth, the second
half is gone through to fast. Once we got to
the running Cluck Mogue forty to nothing, uper Sandusky trails
with the ball second and ten fifteen yard line in
the red zone. So it is helmet that's as Nam

(01:55:28):
helmet high and hands it all to vocal left side
and Dash Pucket's able to rip him down. Yeah, Bogo
tried to spin away from him again, but yes, not
this time, says Dash. That's still a positive gain near
the ten yard high. Yep, that's exactly where they spotted
on the far side.

Speaker 1 (01:55:46):
Hash, I tell you what if you're looking for a
silver lining year Upper Sandusky. Getting other people involved in
the offense and getting some positive yardage is definitely a
good sign for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:55:59):
Yes, it's you gotta think about the totality of the season.
So yeah, we get the third down and five from
the ten yard line and the red zone quarterback has
a snap, jumps up to get it and hands it off.
Vocal nowhere to go. Blue Devils are awaiting. Carter Baine
was in there along with Lee By bowling for the

(01:56:20):
Blue Devils. Yeah. What that also does is you still have.

Speaker 1 (01:56:26):
Lewis in there and he's lined up as either a
tight end or can split.

Speaker 2 (01:56:30):
Out as a receiver.

Speaker 1 (01:56:31):
So he's a pretty decent pass catcher as well, So
that gives him some opportunities. And speaking of opportunities, we
talked about field goals at the beginning of this ballgame.
That looks like Upper Sandusky's going to give this one
a go.

Speaker 2 (01:56:43):
Yes, So Kobe Vittle tease out there, the youngster ready
to get a field goal twenty eight yard attempt. Yes
it is with that left foot, Oh yes, and toppy
beauty Kobe vityle Cheese getting up per sed Dusky on
the board on Wilsa Tar's four board. It's carried forty

(01:57:06):
upper said Dusky three three fifty three to go in
the fourth quarter. It's a Matthew saandakera high school football
game of the week. I metic doty five dot at iHeartRadio.

Speaker 23 (01:57:17):
Paul's new drone startup just lost its most genius computer scientist.

who's got a genius new idea.

Speaker 2 (01:57:25):
I'm going to have to find a new genius or
two half geniuses and fast.

Speaker 23 (01:57:29):

High school football Madging ninety five nine is to go
for an on site kick and it winds up with
Mace Puckett right there at the forty five yard line.
So Blue Devils certainly were ready for that, and so
Carrie takes over. We are three forty six to go
in the fourth lead to get forty two three, they'll

(01:58:44):
probably look to just work out some clock if they're
able to do so.

Speaker 1 (01:58:52):
See if they've got any substitutions here laid in the
fourth quarter.

Speaker 2 (01:58:55):
Looks like there's a couple of.

Speaker 1 (01:58:58):
Different players out there, but Upper Sandusky getting on the scoreboard.
So not to the goose egg that they carry Blue
Devils were hoping for.

Speaker 2 (01:59:14):
They've avoided the bagel. Yeah, don't don't want that one
with that kind exactly. That's right, Yeah, that kind's not
too tasty when you're on the los again. That is
for sure, all right. He bought the forty seven on
our own side carry with the bull and they're just
looking to keep it on the ground. But it's gonna

(01:59:35):
be a horrow. Well, so raylen Burgy he uh.

Speaker 1 (01:59:40):
He stepped in there and across the forty yard line.
Fourteen yard pickup. Yeah, he's got fresh legs, so.

Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
Not gonna just go down.

Speaker 1 (01:59:53):
Without giving it a good go here and first and
ten yardage inside Upper Sandusky territory at the thirty.

Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
Nine So bringing the subs and uh yeah, they're they're
obviously uh yeah, when you get the uh the subsidiary,
you are gonna expect that they're gonna try to, uh
make some things happen. First to ten, thirty nine yard line,
keep it on the ground, left side. I couldn't quite
tell that was I don't know it's Tanner, but yeah,

(02:00:22):
now it's the pile in there.

Speaker 1 (02:00:25):
Yep, it's not Tanner because Tanner is one of the
few on the outside. But he was pushing forward also.

Speaker 2 (02:00:30):
It spending around. Oh look like that was Brady Atkins. Yes, indeed,
five yard pickup.

Speaker 1 (02:00:39):
I would give three yards to him and three yards
to the team for pushing along why not go.

Speaker 2 (02:00:47):
With the one thirty nine remaining in this one. Yeah,
not anticipating any stoppage unless there is a score, and
they're just gonna run this one them out. So under
center bows this time running it up the gut with

(02:01:07):
Beckham Sherman. So Beckham getting an opportunity to the thirty
yard line, not quite enough for the first needed to
get to the twenty nine one ten and counting down
in this fourth corner, fifty six seconds left, third down

(02:01:34):
and one from the thirty, those under center hands it
off left side run, making across the twenty five Braydon
Kitzler the forty seconds left, and yeah, they don't have
to snap it anymore if they don't want to. So

(02:01:56):
the Blues Devils, they have gotten the job done and
Carrie won twenty seventh straight conference games. Last time Carrie
lost the conference game was back October twenty eighth, the
twenty twenty at Colonel Crawford. But they are fifteen seconds
away from it being twenty eight Straights conference games, and

(02:02:17):
they are already getting into the congratulatory procession. Munch's respects
between these suit rivals, but victory issue Carrie, and in
his official zero's up there on the timer and our
final scorer Wilson Tires Scoreboard Carrie forty Upper said Dusky three.

(02:02:38):
The Blue Devils just were relentless on this night. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:02:41):
Absolutely, this was a total team victory, top to bottom.
You know, they came in, they were really glad to
be back at home and after you know, tough first
three games, zero and three, but they notched their first
victory and what better way to do it than in
conference play. Uppers and Dusky falls to one and three,
zero and one in the conference. But you know what

(02:03:05):
we saw last week, what we saw this week. Yeah,
they might have lost by a greater score this week,
but I'll tell you what, I saw a lot of
things that were positive signed for the Suppers.

Speaker 2 (02:03:16):
And Dusty squad too.

Speaker 1 (02:03:18):
First and foremost, they had far fewer penalties this week
than they did last week. Very first play the game,
I thought, oh, here we go again. But really it
was not an overly penalty game. They played clean throughout
the game. They just got beat by a better squad tonight.
