The Morning Breeze on Demand. Yeah, Phil Collins six or six here in
the Morning Breeze, Jack Colby andCarolyn McCardell. You know what, I
had so much fun yesterday Carolyn watchingthat Warriors game. Oh man, what
a game. It was crazy. You know, the Kings were leading in
halftime and the Warriors in the secondhalf. It came back to beat the

(00:22):
Kings one twenty to one hundred.I would like, which in the NBA
would be considered a blowout. Iwould love to have been a fly on
the wall in the locker room athalftime and to hear what Steve Kerr would
have said to the team to getthem fired up, especially Steph Curry.
I was thinking the same thing.I mean, Steph breaking a record,

(00:43):
right, that was awesome. Noone's ever scored fifty points in a playoff
game seven history. It was acareer highlight for stuff with fifty points.
That was incredible. And yeah, the conversation at halftime in the locker room,
I can't even imagine. He wasmaking the impossible shots. He's unbelievable,
unbelievable. I remember there was oneshot that he made. He made

(01:07):
the shot as he was falling. That's Steph Curry, right, Yes,
it's Steph Curry. I also lovedthere were like two thousand Warriors fans at
Thrive City right downtown at Chase Centerhere, which I thought was so fun.
Just the energy in the city afterwardswas amazing, wonderful, just great

(01:29):
to see. Yeah. And uh, and then tomorrow night it's on around
two against bum bum bum I knowthe Lakers. Yeah, bron James and
the Lakers. Yeah, it's goingto be a Chase Center to morning.
Yeah, it's gonna be a greatgame. Man. Congratulations to the first
take today. Enjoy. I meanyou definitely well earned and well deserved.

(01:49):

left in vehicles by their riders.I love these lists. You know,
you think you could guess everything onthis list, You're not going to even

(02:36):
be close. Well, you've gotthe usual, the clothing, the phones,
the backpacks of the person's headphones, blah blah blah. But who would
leave behind an ankle monitor one ofthose things that people How do you take
that off? Don't you're not supposedto? Oh, my goodness, pets
Denture's pets. Yeah, how areyou? I don't know if somebody left
some hamsters behind? What turtles?A turtle? A slab of bluefin tuna?

(03:02):
Do you think the driver smelled that? Oh gosh, don't even go
there. Oh man, a printerm a printer medicinal marijuana I'm behind.
Oh I'm surprised they got that back. I'm just saying I see him.
Unless somebody wrote self respect, it'shilarious. Right. So, Saturday and

(03:24):
Sunday ranked is the most forgetful daysof the week, according to Uber.
Yeah, I'm not surprised. Acouple drinks, then you leave your hamster
and the uber things happen. Fortyinstances of misplaced teeth? What what?
Who? I'm telling you who getsinto an uber and takes her teeth out?

(03:45):
I don't know. I see onthis list that somebody left a Danny
de Vito Christmas ornament. Well theydid that on purpose, oh man.
Jacksonville, Florida ranked is the mostforgetful city, followed by San Antonio,
Palm Springs, Houston, and SaltLake City. Jeez, I'm glad we're
not on that list most Did youever leave anything? No, not a

(04:10):
hamster or a turtle or my teeth. No? Imagine think I've ever left
anything in an Uber review? No? I don't think so. I can't
imagine getting home and said, oh, what happened to my hamster? Yeah?

then forgetting it too tired to drive. Yeah? That's oh man, that's
quite a list. We're gonna putthe full list for you. Let's do

a brighter side like you have neverheard in the history of the Morning Breeze.
We have a very special announcement. It is coming up after Humanly here
on the Breeze and on the basenumber one for relaxing favorites of the morning,

(06:03):
Jack Help and Carola McCardell and thatone from Human League. At seven

(06:25):
at this major announcement on the MorningBreeze that we are about to do as
a brighter side, one way oranother, and I certainly hope it lives
up to all the hype. AndI have to tell you I've got a
case of the cotton mouth right now. I'm a little nervous, but I
have to say that this will bemy last week here on the Morning Breeze.

(06:45):
It's so weird to hear you sayit, very strange to hear myself
say it. And just a briefexplanation. It was about, I guess
late last fall that Kim and Iwe decided to crunch the number. And
my contract expires on Monday this comingMonday, and we thought, well,
this is going to be. Ifit's going to happen, this is a

(07:08):
good time. And I presented itto management and they were most gracious.
And again I need to emphasize thatthis was a decision made completely by me
and my wife. I'm very mixedabout this. I love where I work,
I love who I'm working with, and I love our product here on

(07:31):
the Breeze. So this was avery difficult decision. But again, this
will be my last week here onthe Morning Breeze. So it gives me,
you know, five more days orfour and a half. I can
steal plenty of office supplies in thatamount of time, and he will.
And you know what, Jack, because I'm a good co host and co
worker, I'll help. I'll helpyou writ this place off on your way

(07:56):
out. Now. I can't thankthe I can't thank you enough. Oh,
you're welcome, and the audience andmy boss Rick Feeley are and it's
just been an amazing experience over thelast seven years. And again the audience
has been so kind to not justme, but all of us here on
the breeze. So it's going tobe close to time to say my goodbyes.

(08:18):
Yeah, but it's well deserved andyou know, yeah, absolutely,
And in the world of radio, for those of you that don't know,
being able to announce your retirement andleave on your own terms, like anything
in the entertainment industry, that meansyou've done something very right in your career
and you are so well respected inthis industry. Jack, you have been

(08:41):
working in San Francisco radio for howmany years now, close to forty?
I mean, come on, youdeserve this. And again, the decision
purely based on it's time for meto stop waking up at three thirty in
the morning. If anyone, anyonewho's listening now knows what that is like
to be doing a year after yearfor me as close to twenty five years.

(09:03):
Yeah, and I just people,it's funny people ask me, so,
hey, you can sleep till noonnow, no, I don't want
to sleep till noon. No,you'm like to sleep till six. I'm
just gonna say you're going to sleepinto maybe six, six fifteen, that's
right. So that's that's what mydecision was purely based on, well,
we are going to miss you,but we also say congratulation, thank you,

(09:24):
and again it's well deserved. Soproud of you to be able to
make this decision on your own andgo live your best life and spend time
with your wife and not wake upat three in the morning exactly exactly.
But I will remain a fan ofthe Breeze. We count on you listening
after you're gone, Jack, Maybenot the first day, but every day
after that. It's a deal. We're at eight seven to seven nine eight

the announcement, Jack, if anyif anyone in radio could be so lucky
as to being able to choose,I'm so fortunate to leave on their own
