Okay eight seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one.
We have a bunch of people calling in for this
one this morning, so somebody's got to get it. We're
starting with you. Patty in Vallejo, Good morning. What is
your guest today?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Doing meditation? Meditation? Man, that definitely works. Sure, I hope
you know what. I have a hard time meditating. I
have a hard time slowing my brain down. Yeah, you're
so mellow. I know I live my life in meditation. Oh, Patty,
this is true, right, try to actually do it. It's
too much. Okay, Uh, solid guest, Patty, but not the
(00:57):
correct answer. Oh, thank you guys. Have a good day.
All right. Rebecca and Heyward, good morning. What's your guess smiling?
Smiling a true smile file. I think you're probably right
on this. Oh it's not today's answer, but you're you're
probably right. So I'm not going to say you're wrong, but.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
You're saying she's wrong. Rebecca, Thank you for playing. Have
a good day. Thank you, bye bye. All right, Cedric
and Samuteo, Hey, good morning. What's your guess.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Stretching It's just it's just releases something pheromones or something
in your body.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
And me feel good. I need a good stretch, yeah,
entreness and you get motivated. He there's something about a
good stretch. Yeah, I like that right now? You feel better? Oh,
I do instantly. I was going to stretch, but I've
really put it out already this morning. I think I
like Cedric's answer better than the real answer. What's the
(01:56):
real answer? Ninety eight percent of people say cleaning instantly
puts them in a good mood. I like Cedric's answer
better too. Yeah, yeah, clean.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Nobody wants to do it, and it doesn't get any
better when you do it.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
And speaking of what, I'm approaching the laundry mat now
where they're playing your radio station.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
In there, I'm going to be doing my cleaning, all right,
Will you go in and do your laundry. Have a
good day. Thank you for listening to you. Okay, sounds good.
I have this conversation Carolyn. By the way, I have
this conversation with my daughter all the time, who's a
teenager and whose room is never clean, and I'm like,
(02:36):
just clean your room and you will instantly feel better.
And what does she say. She's like, I don't want to,
And then when she cleans her room, she feels better.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
It's kind of like a workout. None of us want
to work out, but then after you just feel so crazy,
so good. Yeah, cleaning is the same. And really Cedric
is doing a form of cleaning by going in and
doing his laundry. Sure, I mentioned I love going to
the laundromat. I think I've oh, yeah, there's something special.
I'll go to the laundrobat Really. Yeah, it's just I
don't know, it's it's just a fun activity. Okay, Well,
(03:06):

we do Christmas trees, Christmas trees.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I think I'm.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Mixing all the holidays up. Complete Thanksgiving dinner to.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Your point though, no matter how you do Thanksgiving, whether
it's with a turkey or maybe you'd like, I don't know,
maybe like a prim rib.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, sure, you could have crab, whatever you want, and
it can be full size, or it can also be complete,
or it could just be finger food. Yes, sponsored by

So first chance Monday morning, six am here on the Breeze, Brees.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Six forty one, Rod Stewart here on ninety eight point
one the Breeze. You've got the Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court and it's that time of the show where
we turn it over to you with your questions, whether
it's weird wild or maybe somewhere in between. Sure, we
want to know, and it's ask us anything? Is that
it death? Though? It's all right for at eight seven seven.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Eight one, and you could send us a talk back
with our iHeartRadio app. So we got a message from
Monica in antiox She sent me a DM. She says,
I even asked us anything for you in Court. I
listen every morning starting at six am when your show starts.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Thank you, Monica, Oh, thank you for that, she said.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I'm curious to know with your show starting at six am,
what is going through your mind at five point fifty
nine am.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
That's a good one. What's going through your mind at
five fifty nine care?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Besides the obvious of I'm so excited I get to
work another day with Court. Okay that is We'll just
leave that up there. That's just pin.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
That's the top. I think about eight.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Million things are going through my head. I'm thinking I
got to get the show started on time. What are
we talking about today?
Speaker 2 (05:28):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
My head is just but my head is constantly racing.
Have I edited everything that needs to be edited?
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Are we you know? How's the contest going to go today?
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Am I going to hit that like super nerdy behind
the scenes radio stuff like anybody would do with their job.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Sure, that's what I'm doing. So how about you, what's
going through your On the other hand, I'm just like
chill as the breeze. I just I'm I'm really like Okay.
When I started three almost three years ago, I was
always a little anxious at five fifty nine. Yeah, that's
just being new in a joke about will they like me? Oh, Court,
they love you. But but now it's just no, I'm
(06:07):
just my brain is pretty just chill. At five fifty nine.
You handle more of the technical side of things of
the show, and so it's like like I can't even
go over in there and help you. I would just
be in your way. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Well, and I have all the controls on this side,
so it's hard for you.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
So I've just learned not to worry about that because
old Court Court in previous incarnations would be stressing about
all of that stuff, doing the checklist, going through is
this ready? Is that ready?
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Now I can't I can't really other than say we ready.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah, you're good. So basically I'm thinking about a million.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Things yeah, and then you're yeah, okay, yep, yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
That's exactly there you go. So it's in my brain
right now, you know what, and we love it. That's
what you do best, the form best. Great question though, Monica,
thank you so yes. That is another way to send
us and ask us anything is with you know, you
can send either one of us a message on social media. Right,
we'll bring it here to the show. We're at eight
seven seven nine eight one oh nine eight one. Another
(07:11):
good question for ask us anything love that and coming
up this morning at seven forty, we have more tickets

(08:17):
says Kelly in Mountain View.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yeah. So, Kelly, your brighter side has to do with
winning tickets from us in the past.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Right, I won ticket for you like a couple of
years ago.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
It was air Supply.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Oh, it was really fun.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah. Was that when they were playing at Mountain Winery
or were they at San Jose.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Sex, Okay, at the Mountain Winery. Yeah, And I took
one of my friends and we had a glass and
she was telling you that her answer in Mexico and
to pass her citizenship she had to, you know, speak
the language and the music that she learned from what's
from the air supply.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Oh, oh my gosh, that's so cool.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Funny, Yeah, that's really funny.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
You know Wilmer Flores, who was playing for the Giants
former Giants players. Yeah, learned how to speak English from
the television show Friends, and that's.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Why he used the Friends theme song as his walk
up song. Exactly. I'm so impressed, you know that. I know,
I was so I loved that story every time I
heard that song and just I smiled about it.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Yeah, so, Kelly, I mean this is exactly. It makes
sense as to why your friends. I think you said
aunt learned how to speak English from listening to air supply.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
I mean, you just never know. That's such a cool story. Yeah. Yeah,
Well it was.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Great talking to you, and I'm so glad you called
in for the Brighter Side today. Thank you.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
You've made my dage too. I'm going to start my
day pretty soon and I listen to you guys all
the time.

And that's how it works. If you've got something in
your life that's making you happy or a great memory,
we would love to hear from you.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yes, we're at eight seven seven nine eight one oh
nine eight one, and you can send us your brighter
side with our iheartradiop using that talkback microphone and.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
A reminder coming up on Monday. We're doing it again,
our annual tradition of taking the stress out of your
holidays with complete Thanksgiving dinners.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
It's every hour on the hour, six and in the
morning till six at night, brought to you by Premiere
One Credit Union. We love being able to do this
for you and we're so grateful to be able to

And what's special about this is it's not going to
disrupt your normal Thanksgiving routines and traditions. You get to
have dinner the way you normally have dinner. We're just
going to pick up the tab. That's right.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Your first chance to win six am Monday morning, here
on the Breeze.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
It's Billy Joel at seven twenty six. Here on ninety
eight point one the Breeze. You've got the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Cord and it's that time of the
show where, whether you like it or not, we're going
to learn something. It's not a threat, and we're going
to learn it together. We are. That's right. It's called
the More you Know. It's sponsored by the San Francisco Symphony.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
So there is a skill that you very well may
have had from childhood that has been going away. You
may not have even noticed that it's been going away,
but it's about to go away forever. All right, I
am talking about Wait, what did you guess?
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I guess popping wheelies and you said I think I
think you said not popping wheelies, but close close ish.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Manual transmissions on cars, stick shifts, yeah, are going away.
I read that last year less than one percent of
new cars were stick shifts.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
That's crazy. That's here in the United States. Yeah, I know,
I know, like in Europe they are, they are hardcore
when it comes to the manual transmission here in the US.
Do you know how to drive? That's what That's what
I learned on Yeah, I too. In fact, I miss
the days of meat being able to drive around with shift.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
I had a stick shift vehicle until a few years
ago the pandemic. Yeah, and now automatic. But I loved
driving a stick shift. The only place I don't enjoy
a stick shift is a hill, right, Yeah, or the Bay.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Bridge toll Plaza, so pretty pretty much the Bay area. Yeah,
because there's a lot of hills. I know. You remember
the saying if you can't find him, grind him.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Yeah, you're learning how to drive a stick You just
grind your gears all the time. You had to get
through it, though, to learn how to drive a stick exactly.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Right, My parents insisted we learned. Actually didn't have a choice.
The only vehicles we had were manuals until later. But
my daughter Sloan recently asked, She's like, I would love
to learn how to drive a manual, and like, we
don't have one of those in the family. Yeah, where
do you go? So we actually had a family friend
who's got a Subaru that's got a Mano transmission, who said,
(12:29):
you can teach your daughter on my car. That's crazy.
They didn't say. He was keeping the car at our
house while he went on vacation and we just took
it out for as.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Okay, remind me to mental note, never leave my car
at your house to the game.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Did a great job. She didn't grind any gears. She
just popped the clutch a little too much stall remember that. Yeah,
but the best part of it. Granted she didn't really
get the the shifting part very well. But I said,
you can pop start your car doing this jump stick.
I've never done that, but I remember hearing you could
do that. It is so great, such as it's got
(13:05):
to be such an amazing feeling. Whoa can't do that
in an automatic.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
I wonder, though, you know how things are so trendy,
like they go away and then they come back. I
wonder if the stick shift will come back Someday it'll
be trendy. Everybody will want one in car manufacturers will
start bringing them back. Yeah, and they're electric vee.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
I don't think I don't think they will. I really
don't think they will because everybody everything's moving to this
computerized like they're like there used to be like even
in an automatic, the shift actually was shifting the gears
in the in the gearbox. Yeah, it doesn't even do
that anymore. That's why they've switched to the dials and
the buttons now, because there's no connection between it. It's
(13:43):
just a big computer. I have a car.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
You've driven this car of mine where you you you
can shift if you want, or you can go in auto.
But to me, shifting it's like no big woop because
there's no clutch, right, So it kind of takes away
that it's the timing of it all that I'm like
hitting that clutch and that shift at the same time.
So yeah, So manual transmissions going away. And that is
(14:06):
the more you know. We do it every weekday morning,
right at this time here on the Breeze and.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Doverett coming up in mere moments seven forty. It's another
chance for you to win tickets to a Beautiful Noise
