Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Carolyn and Court here on the Morning Breeze. Being
that it is Halloween. Yes, I feel like there is
only one person in the world that we should be
talking to today for sure, and that person is Matt Frasier,
psychic medium, who is coming to Great Resorting Casino on
November twenty second and eight o'clock show. Matt, how are you?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
It's crazy? My Well, it's my national holiday today.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
So how are you celebrating Halloween today?
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Well? I am going trigger treating with my son and
going out with the family getting Alds rested up. That's
so fun.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
What is your son going to be?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
He's going to actually be Winny the pool this year. Nice?
Speaker 1 (00:37):
And are you dressing up as an adult?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh? You better believe it. I'm going to Tiga.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Oh my gosh, how fun perfect? Do your neighbors know
that you are you?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Of course they know, of course they know. How could
you not know that? Just the dead? No, the living
know as well. Ohthough they're gonna be They're gonna be
surprised when I when I go and I show up
at the endore.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
That is going to be so fun. So when did
you know that you had this psychic ability? Like were
you a kid.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Yeah, I grew up like that little boy from the
sixth Sense. I literally grew up seeing and sensing and
hearing the departed, and it freaked me out. I remember
going to bed being so afraid because no matter when
I every time I was alone, whether it be going
to bed, whether it be playing down in my playroom,
souls would come to me that died in the nearby
area and try to communicate. And being so young, I
(01:25):
didn't realize what it was that was happening. I thought
that the house was haunted. I didn't realize that this
was an ability. So for years I tried to push
this away. I tried to stop what I was sensing
and feeling. And then later on in life, I realized,
after seeing a medium myself, that I made a terrible mistake,
that I could actually use this gift to help people
to heal, just in a different way.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
So you saw a medium yourself, that's very interesting. Did
you have a moment there when you were with that
medium where you realized you had something greater than just
you being you?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Well, actually she saw it. I didn't know, you know,
I never put a label on being psychic. I didn't
know So what was amazing is that when I saw
that medium for the first time, she was saying to me,
you're psychic, and I'm like, no, I'm not psychic. And
she's like, well, use this tea and hear people who
had died. And I'm like, yeah, but you know the
house was hauntsan and she was like, no, that was you.
That was your ability. And you know you have this
(02:19):
and you push it away, but you can get it back.
And you know, I was doubtful at first. I didn't
realize that, you know, that I had this ability in
that way. I didn't real because I didn't know how
to control it, and I just thought that these things happened.
And when I learned about it and I looked deeper
into it, I realized it was there all along, just
waiting for me to discover it.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
So let me ask you this, Matt, as an adult medium, now,
if do you perhaps recognize this ability in younger people
around you? And if you do, do you let them
know because it's a pretty heavy thing for a kid
to try to process, so it might be too much
for them to know, but it might have helped you
out actually as a younger kid to have known you
(02:58):
had a gift?
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Oh, oh, absolutely absolutely. You know, if I were to
just know that, you know, I could control it, I
think that I would have had a much better experience.
And listen, don't get me wrong, I was still very
lucky where I discovered my gift and really started to
tap into it. I'm just eighteen years old. I started
doing this publicly, So when that all started happening and
you know, I started tapping into it and learning about it,
(03:21):
it was a really pivotal moment. Pivotal moment because every
day is a medium. It's like a language, right, You're
learning more and more, you're learning better ways to communicate.
And I really feel like that's what helped kind of
catapult myself to where I am now because I've had
all of these years behind me. I mean, this is
fifteen years I've been doing this publicly now where I've
been learning the language of spirit.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
What was that like when you went from knowing you
had the gift and you're a kid to doing this professionally.
What is that transitional moment? Are you playing smaller venues?
It's sort of like a comedian starts out right in
a smaller bar, or like, how do you start.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
You know, that's a good question. It started with me
reading for friends and family members and them, you know,
recommending me to other family members. And then next thing,
you know, group readings with schedules. And then next thing
you know, people were like, oh my god, I have
a friend there's a radio show and they're interested in
hearing about you. And I have a friend that's going
a TV studio. And the next thing you know, you know,
when an agent contacted me and says, you know, I
(04:18):
want to share your gifts with the world. And then
next thing, you know, TV shows came to be, books
came to be, all these things came to be. So
it was really just incredible because I felt like, you know,
I still feel like Heaven helped me on this amazing journey.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Yeah, I was gonna say, I wonder what you like
when you were a kid, What did you want to
be before you knew you had this gift? What'd you
want to be when you grew up?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Oh? Well, you know, it's amazing because in the beginning,
I thought I had to be in the in the
healthcare field. So I started my journey as an EMT
where I worked for the World Trade Center in Boston,
and then you know, as working for the World Trade
Center in Boston, you know, for the security operations department
as an EMT, I was going to go and be
a physician's assistant because I always felt people on a
(05:02):
different level. I could feel people's pain, I could feel
people's illness, I could feel what was going on in
people's body, and I knew at that moment that, you know,
I was meant to help people to heal in some way.
I just didn't realize in the beginning that it was
on the emotional level until all of these things started
just going, and you know, my career took a different
(05:24):
path on the spiritual side, you know, and I really
had to take the jump over from helping people in
the physical as of the EMT to going and being
a full time medium.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Sound like, So it sounds like the calling was the same,
that job description and title was different than what you
thought it was.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Going to be. That's exactly right.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yes, So let me ask you this, Matt. I would
assume that over the fifteen years that you've been doing this,
maybe longer, you've probably come across your fair share of skeptics,
people who just don't believe in somebody's ability to to,
you know, talk to spirits or see things in the future.
How do you go about handling that? Because I'm sure
this is something regular for you.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
So here's the thing. I love the skeptical ones. I love, love, love,
love love the skeptics because the thing is is that,
you know, skeptics of people who don't know what to believe, right,
and no one's gonna walk in and just starting to
believe in the afterlife if they haven't had any proof.
So I love skeptics because they challenge me. They challenge
me to deliver proof. They challenge me to be a
(06:21):
better medium. They challenge me to really show people that
there's life after death. And that's what I try to
do with every single show that I do.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Do you have a skeptic? Do you think in every
audience or at least one?
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Oh my god, I have touns? What do you mean
O skeptically?
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Interesting to know that they would go in the first place.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Well, listen, people come to me for many different reasons, right,
let's just talk about it. People come to me because
one they want to hear a message from a loved one.
Two because they might have a psychic gift that they're
looking to develop or understand or three because they don't
know what to believe. They want to know is heaven,
realize there an afterlife. You know, being a skeptic isn't
a bad thing. It's just not knowing what to believe.
It's like, for example, I didn't know if I I
(07:00):
believed in chiropractors, right, and I was a schyropractor and
I was and I was and I was skeptical. Yeah,
and then they did wonders for my back of my neck,
and you know now I swear by them. So until
you have an experience, you're gonna be that way. And
you know, I feel like that my job isn't just
about delivering messages but really opening up people's eyes to
the afterlife and knowing your loved ones are with you, right,
(07:21):
They're with you every day, no matter where you go,
they go.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
I bet some of those skeptics have become your biggest
fans too, because they were the ones that really didn't believe,
and you turn them around so dramatically and so drastically
that they're probably the ones out shouting your name from
the rooftops and sharing your stuff all over social media.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Oh my god, they go crazy. They go crazy. I mean,
if you go on YouTube, Muis type and Matt Frazier's
skeptic to believer, right, and you look at some of
the skeptical videos, it's it's not only just change the
person's lives that I was reading, but also people watch
the videos because you can see. There was one man,
Michael Clayton. He was a former MFL player and he
had a daytime TV talk show and he did not
(07:58):
want me on. He did not believe in mediums. You know,
he was a big skeptic and you know, he never
experienced a reading or anything. And anyways, he after much pushback,
agreed to finally have me on and get a reading
on air, and it changed his life. And immediately when
the video was posted online, you know, got over three
million views from people that you know that his reading
(08:20):
touch other people that were like him, that felt like him,
that didn't know what to believe, and all of a
sudden their lives were forever changed.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Who are some of the celebs that you've worked with
that you that you really feel like you made a
huge impact on because I know you've worked with a
ton of celebrities, but who are some that really stand
out to you.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Well, there's some that I've worked with that I can't
talk about because they were private readings, but there's also
there's also many that can talk about that were public.
But I think that you know, I've worked from everyone
from Gloria Estefan to Jenny McCarthy to you know, Savannah Christy.
I will tell you that one of my favorite reading,
my favorite reading was Donnie Wohlberg because he was a
(09:00):
and Donnie is I'll tell you something he can't, so
so he Jenny's a big believer in psychics and mediums.
And me and Jenny hit it off right away, and
she's like, will you read Donnie. I'm like, of course,
I'll read Donnie, and she set up the reading and
Donnie's like, I don't want to go to the medium.
I don't want to go to the medium. I don't
want to go see this guy. And she like, like
you know, whipped and shamed him to come and see me.
(09:21):
And anyway, long story short, you know, he gets out
for it was just me and him, no one else,
and when I went to read for him, he didn't
want to give me nothing. He looked at me and
he said, you know you're the psychic. You tell me,
and he sat there, I'll tell you stone face, like
he went into full actor mode, like nothing, and he
just let me for a half hour tell him what
(09:41):
I saw felt. He didn't say yes, he didn't say no,
he didn't say anything. And at the end he just
said to me, I got to give credit and credits too.
He's like, you're good. Shut from him. Wasn't until like
a like a year later that like we had an
interview and and and we talked and Donnie was like,
you know, really it was a year later that he
validated did everything that I said. But you know, I
kind of left the reading not knowing how he felt.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
That is so cool. I think that's the greatest compliment.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Though. Well, I gotta tell you, you know, he's a
really great guy. And what I loved about it is that,
you know, he was open to it. Even though you know,
he was the one that was like prove it to me,
he was also open in the fact that he was there,
he was present. He's like, listen, I'm gonna I'm gonna
go and if you're right on it, I'm gonna tell
you're right. If you're wrong, and tell you that you're wrong. Yeah,
and I'm gonna give you the chance. You know, if
there's a message for me, let it come through. But
(10:28):
he was also very respectful, and I think that that's
one of the things that I loved so much about
doing a reading for him was that, you know, he
opened himself up to it. You know, it changed his mind,
changed his life. And you know we've become good friends afterwards.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Oh, that's so awesome. And you've got a new book
out too, Don't Wait Till You're dead.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Yes, And it's the title of scaring people. I gotta
tell you, because there's you know, there's this thing that
people don't realize, and that is that when I talked
to the other side, the one thing that they regret,
and they do have regrets on the other side that
they have to work through us they're going to heaven.
And the one thing that people regret is this is
that here in this world, we put expiration dates on ourselves,
(11:10):
and we put limits on ourselves, and we say, you know,
we say things like, you know, I'm too old for this,
so that's not going to happen for me, or you know,
I'm never gonna beat my soulmate or you know this
isn't going to happen, or I don't have luck, or
whatever it may be. And you know what's amazing being
a medium is that when you say I can't, it
won't happen. It's not going to happen. When I connect
(11:30):
with the other side, your loved ones have knowledge that
we don't, and they see not the ninety nine reasons
why it won't happen, but the one reason why it will,
and that's all that's needed. That's what Heaven tells me
all the time. So what Don't Wait till Your Dad
is really about is the life lessons that our departed
loved ones have learned when they left this world. Imagine
(11:50):
what it would be like if you could call a
certain loved one in heaven and ask them, what can
I do differently in my life now? Well, don't Wait
till Your Dad is all about making the life change
is that your loved ones look back on and regret,
And it's all about changing your life now and living
a better life. While you're right here in your camp.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Oh wow, that is so cool. I love that. So
you're coming to Great and Resorting Casino in Rohnert park
here in the Bay Area, Friday, November twenty second, eight
o'clock show. And if people have never seen a Matt
Frasier show, tell them what they can expect.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Well, the first thing that I want every single person
to not is that it doesn't matter where you sit.
It matters that you're there. And I mean that as
long as you're there, you will be part of the experience.
I don't care if you're sitting in the front, back, left, right,
wherever you are. Wherever you are, I can find you
and get messages to you. So it's amazing because the
same way you've seen me give readings on television, it's
the same way you're gonna see me give readings at
(12:44):
the resort. So one minute, I might be talking to
somebody in the front row we'd lost their mom. So
next thing you know, going to the back with someone
who had lost their dad. The next thing you know,
climbing up to the balcony because someone had lost their
son or their daughter. So what I want you to
know is that as long as you're there, if there's
a message from your loved one, I will get it
to you. And in the meantime, it's not just about
the readings. It's about being part of the group experience
(13:05):
and all about learning about the other side of what
happens when we die and the souls come through and
we'll openly talk about it. They'll share their experiences of
life after death. They'll experience they'll share the experience of
their version of heaven, and the souls will also show us,
you know, how we can still stay in touch with
them in spirit.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
I love this again. The events center at Great In Resort,

or treat stop for today. We're getting more excited because
you know now that he's two years old, he can
