Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Morning Breeze the Morning Breeze on Demand.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's that time of the week where we stop down
and recognize great people in the Bay Area by naming
somebody the Morning Breeze Person of the Week. These are
people doing good things for their community, their families, their coworkers,
and in this case, the smallest and youngest among us.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I was saying that we got a bunch of nominations
this week, which is awesome. It was a hard decision
to make, but this week it is Stephanie who nominated Christina.
So Stephanie, tell us why you nominated Christina for our
Person of the Week.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
She is a preschool teacher at a preschool in Daily City.
It's also a school that my kids have gone through
and she has been there, I would close close to
twenty years. She teaches the four year old class and
she's just amazing, amazing with the kids, very loving, very warm,
(00:57):
and is able to any time an issue would like
drop off or stuff like the kids love going to her,
and she's able to I think just that transition of
like parents drop off leaving kids to get the get
the kids into the cops. She's able to make that
transition just so much easier and then just just puts
(01:18):
in a lot of like I think, like work out
a time outside of work, Like we see her at
like kids birthday parties. Did the kids love or someone
stay like well their parents they wanted by the party?
An ultimate compliment.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
I can't imagine a teacher ever coming to one of
my birthday parties as a kid, right, I know I'd
be like a celebrity's.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah, she's just very like warm and nursing. I think
just became one, I'm sure and like like like a teacher,
you you.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Hit on something Stephanie that really resonated with me. This
one of the scariest moments in raising my two daughters
was dropping them off for the first time at preschool
and then eventually cam Herton. It's just such a scary
moment for parents because you're like are they ready for this?
Are they going to miss me? Am I going to
miss them? And then when you have somebody like miss
(02:07):
Christina who is there loving them just as much as you,
then it just makes you feel so much better. You
know you've made the right decision.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Yeah, totally. I think that's how most of us at
the school feel. We feel like like we're dropping our
kids off and they're not just gonna be fun, they're
gonna thrive, like they're going to do very well, and
we're like confident in that.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
And so, yeah, you just answered one of my questions,
which was, how do you guys know each other? So
is your child a student at her school?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, they used to be. I have two and the
one just graduated pre school and we'll be starting in kindergarten.
So she's like just like kind of like just finished
she had two of my kids.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
And so yeah, Okay, well, we're gonna put you on
hold for just a second. We're going to try calling
her to see if we can get around the phone
with us. So sit tight, we'll be right back. Okay, okay, okay,
hold on. Hi.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
This is Christina.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Hey, Christina, it's Carolyn and Cord from ninety eight point
one to Breed And we also have Stephanie on the
phone with us as well. Steph, Why did you tell
Christina why we're calling?
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Okay, yes, they're calling because I nominated you for a
Person of the Week for all the work that you
do at Hope, like for the kids, for the families,
and I did not know this is going to happen.
Oh you okay, thank you. I'm so I cannot cry
(03:39):
in front of the kids.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
No, Christina. We do this every week. We pick one
person out of the Bay Area that's been nominated by
our listeners who just tells us these wonderful things about them,
and this week we have chosen you because of all
that you do for the kids, from just being an
amazing teacher, but also going above and beyond and going
to birthday parties bringing gifts back for them while.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
You're on vacation. Stephanie gave us a very big list
of great things that you're doing.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Christina, Oh i am I'm not ready for it.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Not only are we making you our person of the week,
but we also are going to award you brunch for
two out on the Bay from our friends at City Cruises.
So what that means is one Sunday morning, you want
a guest, get to go out on a beautiful City
Cruises boat cruise all around the Bay. You're going to
go over to Salsolito and check out the view under
the Golden Gate Bridge. You're going to come back under
the Bay Bridge, go to Oracle Park and just enjoy
(04:35):
your time out there and have a delicious breakfast.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Oh wow, thank you. I've never done that actually out
of my forty two years living in the city, So
thank you. I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Well, maybe we just crossed something off of her bucket
list to court. Oh yeah, with the help of Stephanie
for sure.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Yes, thanks stephan welcome.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
We just want to say thank you for all you
do a teacher, obviously, that is a tremendous job that
has a lifelong impact on kids, and you're one of
the great ones. So we're happy to highlight into me
so much.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
And thank you to Seth. Love you, Thank you, I
love you.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
And if you've listened to Stephanie and to Christina and
you feel like I know somebody who would make a
great Person of the Week, I.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
