Speaker 1 (00:05):
Seven oh four with Fleetwood mac Here on ninety eight
point one The Breeze. It's The Morning Breeze with Carolyn
and Court. And because it is a Friday and shortly
after seven o'clock, it is time for us to announce
the next Morning Breeze Person of the Week.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
And this week it's Melinda, who has nominated Michelle. We've
got Melinda on the phone. Tell us all about Michelle
and why you nominated her this week.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
She's this Kepple one of the best people I know.
She works with adults with intellectual developmental disabilities. Sometimes it's
kind of a hard population to work for, and she's
kind of got a great way of working with folks
that not only like empower them, but also helps some
kind of like work in the community and learn kind

(00:51):
of daily life skills.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
So how do you know, Michelle?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
She's my wife, and they're not only you know, most
of the people have all of the people have intellectual
developmental disabilities, but then there are also some like co
occurring mental health issues. Some people have physical disabilities as well.
Some people are able to communicate in typical ways. Some
of them are nonverbal, and she's, just, like I said,

(01:16):
one of the most amazing people I know.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
That's so sweet.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Sounds like she has a very special demeanor, because I
think it comes down to just some people are born
with certain abilities and just they're able to navigate through
all sorts of different scenarios and sounds like Michelle was.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Absolutely, it's like a gift.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yees.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, it's like a gift. It must be so inspiring
for you too. For her to be your wife and
she comes home every day from work, You're like, you're amazing,
it's just so cool.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Absolutely. Yeah, I mean, she definitely is tired. She has
to use a lot of patients at work. I got
to give her a little time and space with me,
start interacting as if she gets home. But yeah, we.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Know she's busy. But do you think if we called
her we could get her on the phone with us.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
You might try it.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Okay, hang on, we'll be right back. Don't hang up. Okay,
it's great, Hello Michelle.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yes, it's one of the best skeptical hellos we've ever received.
Love it made our day already. H what's Carolyn and
Court from the morning Breeze. But we're also joined by Melinda.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Hi Babe Hi, Michelle.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
We understand you are very busy, so we don't want
to take a ton of your time, but we do
want to let you know that every Friday morning, just
after seven o'clock, we do a segment here on the
Breeze called the Morning Breeze Person of the Week, and
your lovely wife Melinda reached out to us and told
us about what an incredible human being you are.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Oh, that's sweet.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I talked about the work that you do with adults
with intellectual developmental disabilities. That we work with all different
kinds of adults. Some of them are able.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
To communicate typically, some of them are non verbal, some
of them have physical disabilities, and you're just really great
doing that.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
It's always the people that have the most incredible jobs
and that are the most difficult jobs are the ones
that are like, yeah, why are you calling. I'm just
I'm doing what I'm supposed to do in life.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
This is what I do.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yeah, but I mean it's very sweet.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
No, I mean I think your work deservedly so should
be recognized. You do incredible work for so many people
here in the Bay Area, and it is a very
intricate type of work. Not just anyone can do this
job for sure, and we wanted to take a moment
to recognize you with Melinda and just say thank you.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Thank you. That's very nice.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah, but there is a little bit more to it, Michelle. Well,
because you know, we want to do something for you
that you might not normally do for yourself. We're also
going to award you brunch for two on the Bay
courtesy of City Cruises. So one Sunday morning, go out
and enjoy the great views on the Bay while eating
delicious food, bottomless mimosas. It's great and.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Now we got her.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Now we got her. We should have started with the mimosas.
We should have.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
No, seriously, thank you for all the work you do,
and Melinda, thank you for nominating Michelle. We love this
because there are so many people like Michelle in the
Bay Area that we wouldn't even know their story or
what they do if it weren't for our amazing listeners
that bring their stories to life and bring them to us.
So thank you for letting us know.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Of course, of course be recognized.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (04:49):

listening to the show. We appreciate it, and thank you again, Michelle.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Thank you. Have a great day you too.
