(00:00):
The Morning Breeze on demand. Carolyn, have you ever lost your luggage while
traveling? No, Wood, Nohave you? Well, I have a
tight connection through Denver caused my luggageto get lost for three days when we
went to London. Oh my goodness. But that was the reason for that

(00:21):
luggage being lost. But there's abigger reason why people's luggage gets lost,
and it's super avoidable. Okay, you know the little stickers you put on
your tag your bags basically the tagsbags back tags. It's got the bar
codes on it, the one thatthe airport gives you, not a long
one. Yeah, now you haveto apply yourself. Yeah that I always
stick to my hands, tears mynails. So then yeah, yeah,

(00:42):
then you take it over and youhand off your bag and you're going to
see them do something. They actuallytake a part of that and it's a
sticker that they put somewhere else onyour bag, so it's double tagged.
Oh yeah, so they've got thebig obvious one and then there's a small
sticker. Okay, you need toremove those as soon as you're done flying,
as soon as you pick up yourbag off of bag claim, so
they don't so that they're not thereagain for the next time you fly,

(01:03):
because people are leaving those on andthose little codes are confusing the conveyor belts
that are all automated. Oh Inever knew that. I thought there was
actually people back there like sort of, well there are I think there are
some people that are there to kindof help, but most of it's automated.
Wow, modern day, modern dayairports are automated that way. And
so if you flied United one weekand then you know a month later,

(01:25):
you're on Southwest and you didn't takeoff that United tag, oh my god,
there's a chance that it's going toconfuse the system and your bag might
get sent over to the United partof the airport. I never thought about
that. And then suddenly your bagdoesn't get on the plane, or your
bag could go to a different destination, right exactly. We asked this question
a couple days ago on our Facebookpage about people losing their luggage, and

(01:45):
I remember there was somebody who commentedwho said that she went to like Italy
and her bags wound up in Germanyand she had to buy all new clothes,
toiletries, everything in Italy. AndI thought, oh my gosh,
think about medications and stuff like thatthat you actually really need. Yep,
that's huge. Now, this probablywon't always help you avoid it, but
it's definitely one way to ensure it. So it's the first thing I do.

(02:07):
I come off the baggage claim,I tear those things off. Boy,
that is smart. Kind of adad moved to a little dad hack
and then look for that smaller onethey stick somewhere else. Okay, all
right, thank you, Cort. We're going to put more on this super
