The Morning Breeze on Demand Morning BreezeCaroline McCardell, Court Johnson, Good morning.
I was thinking about the weekend comingup, Court, Yeah, and
oh, I'm excited for the weekend, and I start thinking about all the
things I'm going to do this weekend. And then I've like flash forward to
Sunday, and as I even thinkabout my Sunday night, I start getting
(00:24):
anxious about it. Oh man, then you got to go to work the
next day. And you know, they have a name for that. I
have a couple of names for that. It's like the Sunday blues or something.
Sunday Blues is the one that I'veheard the most, but Sunday Scaries
is also what some people call it, because because like you're so anxious about
starting work again. Yea, thatSunday just becomes a nightmare because you're doing
(00:45):
all the things to help yourself getready for the week, you know,
the next work week. That's exactlyit. Yeah, And there's actually some
things I've I've been talking to mywife about this quite a bit because she
gets I've I've experienced it before.I don't experience it here at all,
Carolyn. I look forward to everyMonday, bright and early, walking in
with you. Somebody has trained youso well. Correct, I mean that
(01:07):
sincerely, but yeah, yeah, yeah, I think anybody, even if
you love your job, there's weekswhere you've got a big project, do
yes, or you know, youjust have stopped something and yeah, and
so you get a little bit anxious. So for my wife, I'll always
talk about I'm like, and Ijust I plead with her. I'm like,
turn off your email on the weekends. Just turn it off, like
you're not working. Yeah, butshe sees emails come in over the weekend.
(01:30):
Yeah, and so it takes somediscipline, but like, just turn
off your email, disconnect it inany way, that's probably the easiest thing
to do, okay, or maybethe hardest. But also all those things
you end up doing on Sunday toget ready for the work week, do
them on Friday. Make make Sundaya special relaxing day that's just for relaxing.
(01:52):
And then that way you look forwardto Sunday as opposed to start dreading
it because you know that Sunday leadsto Monday. That's a good point because
I do find that, like groceryshopping is the one thing for me,
and we always do that on Sundays. I do it, Oh you do,
see, I do it on Fridaysso I don't have to worry about
Sunday. And then I do mycooking because I meal prep for the week.
Sure, I do my cooking onSaturday. So I try. Are
(02:13):
you doing this? I try todo it, yeah, but still without
fail. On a Sunday, I'mthinking, oh my gosh, I have
this this week. I have this. But I like your tip on the
email because I'm guilty of that.I think a lot of people are.
I wish there was a way,and that probably is on your on your
phones or whatever where it automatically disconnectsor just turns itself off Friday something or
yeah, and then and then canshift back on you know, Monday morning.
(02:37):
Of this. Again, that's easiersaid than done, because I'm I'm
very much like you because you startthinking, because then you do it to
yourself. You're like, I'm missingsomething right now, and locot my email
