Speaker 3 (00:39):
From Donna Nonah Williams Stadium. We welcome you in on
a beautiful afternoon here on a Saturday afternoon at Williams Stadium.
M menomine Wisconsin for the War on ninety four, the
one hundred and first edition of the War on ninety four,
and we are ready to have it. We are happy

Sports Network, in on Newstalk, wm e q A M

(01:02):
and iHeartRadio. Hello everybody. Pete Cadutson with you here. A
special thanks to all our great video crew for producing
today's game on the video Signed of course, Dan Price
back in studio on the radio side as we bring
you this special slimulcast of a game that's always a
special game here between Stout and eau Claire. Of course,
these two teams have been locked in this rivalry series
since nineteen seventeen, in one hundred and first edition here

(01:25):
today between these two teams, sees UW Stout sport an
eight game winning streak against the Blue Goals, and so
for Stout, they come into this game wanting to establish
themselves in the YAK and wanting to continue that streak
as well and to hoist that war On ninety four
trophy at the end of the game. For the Blue Goals,
they're looking to kind of right the season, right their

(01:45):
ship a little bit. They're one and two in conference play,
two and four overall this season. They have battled teams
really tough this year and they have as always, it
seems like, just been making improvements and improvements to try
to get this program back up to the level that
they have been in the pass. For UW Stout, they're
in a five way tie at two to one in
conference play in the WIAC. They feel like the last

(02:06):
one against River falls this past weekend got away from
them a little bit, So how can they respond and
do a little bit better job of closing drives. One
of the things we're going to talk about today is
closing drives. I talked about a last week in River Falls,
but it bears repeating. The Blue Devils have had twenty
five trips to the red zone. They've scored twenty two times,
but only ten of those twenty two have been touchdowns.

(02:28):
Not again, a lot more field goals than they have
touchdowns as well. Early on in this season, can Adam
Mohan in this offense figure out a way to finish
drives and can the defense the opportunistic like they have
been throughout the course of the season as well. For
the Blue Golds, again, we're gonna see some of those names.
They have a lot of seniors on offense. Their defense
is a little bit of underclassmen. It's a little bit inexperience.

(02:52):
We'll see how that works against a very good offense
forced out here today should be a good one between
these two teams. We are certainly looking forward to it
and we're ex to bring it to you here on
the YAX Sports Network on news Dock WQ on both
sides will take a break and we will be hearing
from Clay Birmingham. In just a moment, you are watchings
and listening to Stout Versus Oh Claire The War on

(03:12):
ninety four right here on the YAX Sports Network.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
The UW Stout Blue Devils pregame show continues next on

Speaker 5 (04:28):
We're back on the Bob and Steve's Bpmaco Shops pregame show.
Now here's UW stout head coach Clayton Birmingham and it's our.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Pregame show as we get a chance to chat with
coach Birmingham here from the Blue Devils and get set
for the war on ninety four. Appreciate taking the time
with this coach and homecoming today as well. And you
know this squad and four and two coming into week
number seven, and I imagine that beginning of.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
The season to be in this position.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Where you kind of you know, got your own debt
destiny under your own control. It's got to be something
that you'd you'd take. Right six games into the season
here going into this game against so Clear.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Yeah, I think we're happy with where we're at. I mean,
you always look back at the losses and you think
we should have had those. And you know, looking back
the first game we lost, we didn't know all we had.
We were such a young team. I just talked to
our stafeties today and you're like, how much would would
what would you give to have that first game back?
And they said, how we we would play be a
different team, and so that one kind of escaped us.

(05:22):
Then last week was a tough one. You know, we
had too many opportunities that we didn't capitalize on, and
that one's was a cellar taste and it kind of
hit home to all of our whole team, and it
was probably one of the worst loss I haven't been
a part of in my thirty years, just because we
were there. We should have had it, and we kind
of let us slip away, and it was good. I

(05:43):
was proud by guys though. They're resilient and they they
got on the bus. You're a pin drop on that
bus and they were they were they were mad and
we were mad too, and that's why I wanted they want.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
You know, you got something special.

Speaker 7 (05:55):
When you got to when you got a team that's
uh pretty worked up over the loss past years. It
might have just been on just the game, but this is, uh,
this is this means a little bit more now.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, I mean, wol have kind of shut all you want,
but is now you kind of prepare for ol Claire
and you look back at that, you know, I'm sure
that there's plenty in the second half that you, you know,
learn from you just kind of forget the tape and
move on. I mean that at this point the guys
kind of know, you know, who they are and what
they what they need to do out there each week.

Speaker 7 (06:23):
Yeah, you know, it's uh the norm. What you do
is you watch the film after and you break it down.
And I still watch the film, yeah me personally, I
just it's one day I'll watch it and uh, but
it's just one of those things where I went home
that night saut of the coach got a cool Sola
pop and h got ran and all Claire and that

(06:45):
was the only way I could do with what the
game is, just moving on, just and seeing something new
and and everybody's different and we hurt. I mean Tuesday's practice,
I had to kind of get it after him after
practice and because everybody's feeling sorry for yourself and they're
a little hurt yet, and it was just like, guys,
this is done. We can't change the past, and we
I'll have to have the short memory and move on.
And that's why I challenged them when yesterdays patch was awesome.

(07:07):
We came up with energy and it was just like
game one again.

Speaker 8 (07:10):
So it was good to.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
See you get three your last four games at home.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
This one starts it off with the War on ninety
four and homecoming, and it doesn't always line up that way,
but it's always an exciting game.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
It's always a well attended game.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
But to add home coming on top of it in
an afternoon game and everything, you get the feeling like
this is going to be a big crowd and a
big kind of moment for your team, don't you.

Speaker 7 (07:29):
Yeah, we got We did everything through everything at once, right.
You got the homecoming, the war, we got Hall of
Fame game, so we had the whole of Fame banquet
after the game. So nothing like cram and everything possible
in one day.

Speaker 9 (07:41):
But it should be a good one.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
Should be fun.

Speaker 7 (07:43):
It's always uh, it's always fun playing the arrivals.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Well, let's talk a little bit about ou Claire and
what they bring to the table. I feel like we
talk about this each year, that it feels like they're
improving right, kind of making those steps, and that they
played some good teams really really well this season. They
got some senior experience, especially on the offensive.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Side of the ball.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
So does that help in terms of knowing their tendencies
or is it one of those where, hey, they've been
there a while, they can they can mix in a
lot of different looks and a lot of different things
to kind of try to confuse the defense.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Well, it's nice to go against a staff that carries
over to the next year because you can watch last
year's film while they defend this how they prefer against us.
You know, when you get a new staff, you kind
of just don't know what you're going to get. So
but it's it's just another game. I mean, I think
the media and everybody else in the you know, around
the real world hips it up a little bit more

(08:33):
because it's the arrival week. For us, We just it's
just another game. Because we look at the big picture
of this saying the next four are going to be dogfights.
So you're trying to get too high, trying to get
too low, and you got to even keel and play.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Yeah, you look at keys to the game and what
you need to do and that bounce back right from
River Falls, what's going to be the important thing that
you're emphasizing your guys, you know, as you go out
there and take the field here on Saturday.

Speaker 7 (08:57):
Yeah, I think with everything coming off a loss, you've
preached f you preach making the play. We talked to
our team all the time and last year model was consistency.
You got to be consistent to win this league. You've
got to stay injury free. You got to make those
four or five plays a game that are gonna cost
you the game, and either you make them or you don't.
White Water, we made them. We're falls. We didn't make

(09:19):
them late in the game and that was the change
the whole game. So we're gonna fight. We're in a battle.
And then our guys aren't trying to not make the play.
They're just you know, sometimes they just don't make them
and and maybe we as coaches got to put them
in a better situations sometimes too. And so it's everybody
and we'll be final. We'll rebound just like we always
do and make the play.

Speaker 9 (09:40):
All right.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
We appreciate taking the time coaching good luck today.

Speaker 9 (09:42):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 5 (09:43):

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Roll out to the right. He'll throw it over the middle.
Caught in the back of the end zone by Blake Party, touchdown,
Blue Devils. They're gonna win the war on ninety four
for the fifth straight season.

Speaker 11 (11:12):
Tonight they meet for the one hundred and first time
Stout aspires to a conference championship. Oh Claire looks to
snap a decade's long losing streak.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
It is really unfortunate, the therasphial loser here tonight Blue
Devils fans will celebrate. The Blue Golds might have some
tears on the sideline. There's guys with hands on their knees.
They have given up everything that they could. This is
war win fifty left to go. In the second quarter
five taking down thirteen to three, Zer player third a
Gold from the eight yard line, snap taken by Morning,

(11:45):
makes a handoff, throws it over the middle. Hamer catches touchdown,
Blue Devils.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Baby here you w Stout.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
He takes it in the handoff. Mister Carpenter, No, he
keeps himself on the read option. He's across the ten.

Speaker 12 (12:00):
To put it in the enisode. Who touch down Blue.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Devils on the twelve yard run and you talk about
the moves.

Speaker 12 (12:05):
He's going dancing out there as Jay Alston.

Speaker 11 (12:08):
You w O Claire, you'll watch the Blue Golds.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
Run to the end zone. They're gonna grab that I
ninety four trophy and I'm sure they're about to show
it off here as well as they get the big
victory in the war.

Speaker 11 (12:19):
The War on ninety four is here once more. Onto
the breach.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Now moves to the end zone.

Speaker 12 (12:27):
Here's McDonald's touch down Blue Devils.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
They're on the way to win in the ninety four trophy.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
Botes here week good.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Coming back here to Williams Stadium in me Nomine, Wisconsin.
We are getting ready for the opening kick on between
Stout and oh Clare. So we're on ninety four. It's
Hall of Fame wee again for the Blue Devils. He's
also homecoming for the Blue Devils as well. And it's
tough loss last week as we said for UW. Stout
against that river Falls which was hurting, and of course

(13:01):
river Falls ranked tenth in the country. Some was coming
off a win against the tenth ranked team in the
country in UW Whitewater. They were unable to follow that
up with a win last week, even though they were
up by three touchdowns and half time, lost in overtime
forty to thirty seven, and so they need to bounce
back today. They have aspirations, as you heard, to try
to get in to potentially the NCAA tournament, right if

(13:23):
they can figure out a way to win the conference,
and it's a tall task, there's no doubt about that.
But as you heard from Coach three, the last four
games are at home. They're all against tough opponents. Here
the Blue Golds today, and then you've got Lacrosse next
week and then Flatfeld to end the season. There's a
road game against Oshkosh which is going to be ridiculously
difficult as well. So there's plenty of really tough games
coming up. However, I think the schedule kind of sets

(13:45):
up well vers So that's why that loss last week
stings so much, because the Blue Devils certainly had an
opportunity to be alone in the top of the YAK
three and zero with a win last week. It didn't
work out, But we'll see if the Blue Devils were
able to make it happen here tonight and to book
the script and get a win against UWO player UW Claire,
of course, a lot of buzz around this program. The
new Son and Teg Center in O Claire has a

(14:07):
one hundred yard full length field indoor practice facility that
is bringing out new recruits and new folks all the
time to Uwoclaire in this football program in rob Rickson
is pretty excited about what he has seen so far.
That's why so many freshmen and sophomores are going to
be starting on the defensive side of the ball for

(14:27):
UW Claire. So they haven't really turned the page from
this before, but at least from the old coaching staff
with Wesley Bashana and others. But they are certainly turning
that page. At least they're getting close to turning that page,
and they want to get some big time wins. They
want some signature wins, if you will. Their biggest win
right now is at Concordia, more ahead win that they

(14:49):
had in the non conference win against Stevens Point a
couple of weeks ago as well, But I think Stevens
Point is now proving to be one of the teams
at the bottom, if not the bottom team in the conference.
So how can Stout respond, How can Oclaire try to
finally get that war On ninety four trophy which is
at the end to our left. We'll talk more about
that throughout the contest as well. Of course, a lot
of eight and really great history behind that. Also, let's

(15:11):
give you the starting lineups for both squads for the
uws now Blue Devils again at four and two and
two and one in conference play play. Birmingham in his
fifteenth season, is fifty eight to seventy seven at the
helm of the Blue Devils. Adam Owhen will start. He's
a junior from Lake Mills. He's one hundred and ten
and one seventy five on the season, passing for fourteen
hundred and four yards, ten touchdowns, three interceptions. Three interceptions

(15:34):
thrown last week against River Falls. The problem was is
that Mowen only threw one of them. He had to
come out when he was injured last week for one play.
Backup quarterback for the Blue Devils, Jacob Royce threw an
interception on the only throw that he had and then
on a gadget play Aaron Williams threw a interception as well,
so despite three interceptions as a team, it was only

(15:54):
one thrown by Adam Mohen last week. Dylan Nelson will
get the call at halfback as well. Pardon me, Ben
Tolkien will at the call at halfback here today is
Dylan Nelson is out here at the running back position,
and not sure who else they have in in for
a potential to run as I know, the running back
crew is having a lot of injuries for this Blue

(16:15):
Devils squad coming into the game. The receiving crew is
pretty healthy though, and that's Carter's Azokam as well as
Patrick Corcord and DeVante Evans. Those are the three starters
for the Blue Devils. The tight end starter will be
Raith Bauer. He is our halftime guest. We'll hopefully get
that for you on the video side. We'll have that
interview for you on the radio side for sure. And
then up on the line, a couple of or just

(16:37):
one change rather for stout Ben Bissel is it left tackle.
Andrew David jumps up into the depth chart and at
the left guard spot is a senior. Sam Briott is
injured today. Nolan Baker will be the center. Luke Parzik
is the right guard. Luke Mertins is the right tackle.
The Blue Golds on defense will go as follows. At say,
four man front, Brady Poles, Jake Carmichael, Aiden Dross, and

(16:58):
Marcus Banks. You got a fresh he's been a sophomore,
a junior, and a senior all on that defensive line
for the Blue Golds. In the linebacking crew, two juniors
and a freshman. Land And Wessel and Brady Hoffner are
the juniors. The freshman is Walter Korish. The two cornerbacks
are Peyton Erickson and kayden Ton Sager, and the safeties
are JP walter Storf out of Eau Claire Regis and

(17:18):
Deshaun Sager. The freshman here for the Blue Golds defense
or parton me offensively rather for the Blue Golds, he'll
go as follows. Harry Rubydoo is in his third year
starting a senior quarterback for this Blue Gold squad. One
hundred and thirty for two twenty two on the season.
That's fifty eight percent fourteen hundred yards twenty four yards.
Actually on the season, he has run eleven interceptions to

(17:39):
go with thirteen touchdowns. As well as run a lot
does Rubydoo. Sam Tradel is the running back one hundred
and fifty one yards rushing for him on the season.
London ten Landon, Ton Sager as well as Franco Williams
and Isaac Garcide are the receivers. No One Stands will
start at tight end. Gunner Hurlbert, Nate Olsen, Lucas Barbie,
Jake Thompson and Ben Hellen are the upfront. As you

(18:01):
hear and see the Bugles take the field here and
they'll get some booze from the home crew, but a
lot of Bogles fans is always traveling over here to
Nominee to see the blue Golds here in no Nominee today.
Defensively for Stout, it'll be Nick mos Walker, Byral and
Johnny Schmidt upfront, Hunter Scape, Braxton Money Kais and Drew
Schneider and Carter Fonger are the linebackers. Gavin Goodman and

(18:23):
Richie Murphy are the two cornerbacks, and it is Dawson
Goodman at strong safety. And we are told that it
will be Carson Tate's apartment. It'll be Carson Tate starting
for Dawson Goodman. Brooks Brewer is healthy and he will
start at the free safety spots, So Carson Tate out
of UW apartment, you go, Oakler regis rather we'll start
at safety as well. Bloom Devils are ready to take

(18:46):
the field and are at the end zone to our left.
As you watch it home, you'll hopefully get to see
them here in a second and see them take the
field here as well as they there. They are about
ready to take the field here on homecoming homecoming parade
earlier today and a lot of excitement in the area
here in Menominee. As we get set for football here

(19:08):
between Stout and oak Blair, it looks like we're not
going to have our crowd mic or pardon me, our
referee MII here today, but we'll deal with that as
we get to the coin toss and the anthem and
all the good stuff coming up here as well as
air of the Blue Devils taking the field American flags
that Chammer and then the Blue Devil pitched for it
as well as they will all take the field. There

(19:29):
you see rath Bauer on with umber of other Blue Devils.
Looks like Tucker Hawkinson and others bringing out those totems
if you will here onto the field for the Blue Devils. Well,
as we said, Stout overall forty three, fifty two and
six all time against the Blue Golds here at home
twenty six, nineteen and three on an eight game winning streak.

(19:50):
On a four game home winning streak. They have not
lost here at Williams Stadium against the Blue Golds since
twenty eleven and are in the month of vox, so
we can give you the October record as well. The
Blue Devils are twenty three, twenty six and one against
Oa Claire all time in the month of October. And
that's where we're at now as we get set for

(20:11):
the anthem and more here for today's matchup. Again, the
other matchups, like we said, there's a five way tie.
Stout is in that with a number of other teams
at the top of the yak. We'll keep our eye
on all of them certainly here today. Oschcotch is at
Stevens Point, River Falls is at Lacrosse, and Plattville plays

(20:32):
host to Whitewater. All the games today are going to
get underway at one o'clock this afternoon. And if you're
listening to us on the radio, sign we say Hello
to you, and we want to remind you that you're
listening on new Stock WM eq AMA eighty me Nomini
Translator W two nine two EG one of six point
three FM o Clair at iHeartRadio station. Let's listen in
to matchal anthem here from Williams Stadium, Ellie Starcamp.

Speaker 12 (21:00):
You see by the.

Speaker 13 (21:02):
Downs line, but so pa, we have had the t.

Speaker 14 (21:13):
Last clean me whose buttstribes sand Bride story.

Speaker 13 (21:21):
Through the pamaspa for the d party were so gal.

Speaker 12 (21:32):
The stream.

Speaker 13 (21:36):
On the Rockarack botsposta game per the reflag was still
the whole say door spaingle by.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
For here's a national anthem here from Williams Stadium, as
we are about ready for football here on about the
YAX Sports Network and on our radio friends at Newstock
WM e q P cadots in here live from the box.

(22:28):
We've got a host of producers. Ben is behind us here.
Special thanks to him for getting on the video side.
Skyler has been working hard as well here on our
video broadcasts on the YAX Sports Network, and of course
is always a special thanks to Dan Price back in
the radio studio for running the dials and making things
happen here as well. Fun to be back down the
air with you here on the radio side, and we're
looking forward to it here this evening. All right, the

(22:51):
officials are ready for the coin toss. We will listen
in our as best we can with the lack of
the PA feed that we have. Your head official today
is John Dodin. The umpire is Michael Duftison, The headline
judge is Ted Shrmeltzer, the line judge Steve Ledell. Field
judge is Josh Freeward, the side judge Terry Van Straight,
and the back judge is Gary Oldrig. As the captains

(23:13):
will make their way out and we'll get the opening
coin toss. Blue Devils are in the all blue uniforms
today with the white helmets and the blue golds on
the road. In the white uniforms, blue numbers outlined a gold.
They've got the blue pants on the gold and white
trip this afternoon on an absolutely gorgeous day for football
here today at Williams Stadium, so handshakes going all around.

(23:34):
The Blue Devils have won that I ninety four trophy
in the end zone to our left eight straight times,
trying to make it nine and make it a full
decade with that twenty twenty season being canceled due to COVID,
and make it a full decade of owning that trophy
here in the halls of Johnson Fieldhouse. All right, let's
listen in to our official I don't really hear them.

(23:58):
Microphone's working down there, so it seems like here we are.
So Stout has won the toss. They will defer Blue
Golds to get the ball, and Stout will defend the
north end zone and they will kick to the south
here to start. There's not a lot of win today.
You see American flag during the national anthem, not really

(24:19):
blowing it around. Two hard Scout's gonna have the win,
maybe a touch at their back. But it is not
very windy today here at Williams Stadium, fifty three degrees
at game time here in Menominee, and again barely any
win to speak of. A nice brisk late October fall afternoon,
as we are ready for football between Stout and Oh Claire.

(24:40):
Happy to have you along with us here on the
YAX Sports Network at news Dock WMQ. You know, these
teams have been through the battles, you know, if you
look at the eight game win streak, that Stout is on,
but half of those games sort of blowout wins. Of course,
there was the signature seventy three to twenty nine win
that happened two years to go here at Williams Stadium

(25:01):
that I think it was some Blue Golds fans and
parents were not happy with. Stout pretty much kept the
ball on the ground the entire second half, but they
still ran in about three more touchdowns in the second
half of that game. The Blue Goal is unable to
defend that day, and so they played with some anger.
Last season, Stout got the win, but it was a
much closer matchup at Carson Park, and I think the
Blue Goals are expecting a much closer matchup here today.

(25:25):
We'll see how it all works out. Luke Cool is
just a few extra points and a few field goals
away from setting an all time scoring record here for UW. Stout.
He set that last week, and he's got a chance
to be the all time Wayak leading scorer with his
kickoff or with his kicking abilities rather. He of course,
missed a fifty yarder last week that would have given
Stout the winning in regulation at the Buzzer and was

(25:48):
unable to off the off the post and stout Boston overtime.
But he has been great kicking other than hat really
this entire season. Here for the Blue Doubles pro player
to receive this kick. Isaac Garside is back on the
near side and Yah's chool He's over on the far
side ready to return. Chole with about a twenty three

(26:09):
yard average on his kid returns guard side, averaging just
under seventeen yards per kick return. We are ready for
football though we're on ninety four, one hundred and first edition.
Here we go downfield. It goes toward Choule at the
six yard line. He's got up between the numbers and
the hash moves up now looking for some space. He
will get hit at the twenty and be dropped down
at about the twenty two yard line. A little extra

(26:31):
pushing and shoving. It's the War on ninety four and
it's underway here at Williams Stadium today and happy to
have you along. It should be an exciting game. Twenty
two yard line is where the Blue Golds will start
off and Herery Rubydoo will come out as the head
man here for the Blue Golds Senior at six foot two,
two hundred and thirteen pounds is Rubydoo at Rubidoo out

(26:52):
of Winna County, Wisconsin boopteen touchdowns this season, eleven interceptions,
and he's been a staple at the quarterbacks for the
last couple of seasons. Here for UW O Claire. They
will start with a two receiver set and one out
to the left, one out to the right. Franco Williams
is left. Guar side is right. It is Shradle as
the running back Snout a very good run defense. They

(27:13):
will fake the handoff, want to pass Rubydoo looking on
a slant route over the top. It's caught at the
thirty five yard line. Hit immediately on the play by
Dawson Goodman, but not before. It's about a thirteen yard
game and a first down up to the thirty five
yard line. An ice passed there from Harry rubyduo to
start things off. So the thirty five yard line and

(27:36):
again you saw snout. Dawson Goodman is the guy who
gets to start. It looks like they're at safety. We
thought that we might see Carson Tate, but I think
Carson Tate just got moved in to the depth chart
is here's a run left side and what a big
hit by Goodman at the thirty eight yard line on
Shradel a three yard gain the left side apart me,

(27:57):
that was a Bergman rather with the carry, the freshman
running back who has just over one hundred and eight
yards now on the season. And at second and seven
coming up here for the Blue Golds, Dawson Goodman one
of the leading tacklers on this team for Stout thirty
five tackles per total tackles, I should say on the
season as a pick as well, the Stout squad twelve

(28:19):
interceptions on the year. That's in the top ten of
the nation in interceptions by a squad in Division three.
Though sent Aman in motion, that's tool across the formation.
Handoff goes up the gut to the forty one yard line,
not much else. Another three yard game. The Stout defense
is indeed stout on the run game, as Bergman gets
it for another three yards. They only allow seventy five

(28:39):
yards per game rushing and they've already had to face
River Falls. Who is a team that loves to run
the scramble, who loves to run their quarterback as well.
That's the one thing you don't have to worry a
ton about against the Blue Golds is rubydoo running. He
does not run much, and so that's at least something
you don't have to necessarily queue in on. If you're
the Blue Devils. A five receiver backfield set three right,

(29:01):
two left, and Stout gonna bring this corner blitz. They
throw it over the middle, catch made across the fifty
and down into Blue Devil territory of the forty five
yard line goes yats Chewel a Brontdas or Burman Richie
Murphy on the blitz, and he did not get there
nearly in time. On the quick pass, they'll go to
the forty four yard line officially, and it's a first
down for the Blue Goals. So Stout trying to figure

(29:26):
out how to things going here defensively early in this game.
Two receivers to the right, one to the left here
for oh Claire. They'll send Schewel in motion and they'll
fake the handoff to Bergman. Want to pass this one
deep right side. It is up and caught at the
twenty five. There goes guard side down the sideline, tiptoeing
the sideline. He goes out of bounds. Looks like inside

(29:47):
the ten. We'll see what they mark him. It is
the seven to six yard line. What a play, and
that goes for almost forty yards thirty eight in the
end and Stout's pass defense unable to come up with
the plays. They've made those big plays for the most
part this season and just unable to do so. There again,
those twelve interceptions, but I'm unable to deflect that pass.

(30:08):
And the Blue Golds have a red zone opportunity. In
the red zone they've scored seventeen times out of twenty
two tries, seventeen touchdowns, I should say out of twenty
two tries, they have three field goals to go with
it as well. Choul, we'll get it on the end
round right to left, good blocking out on the edge.
Can he get the edge to the five? He will
go to the pylon. He hits the pylon and he
is in touchdown, Blue Golds with eleven fifty five left

(30:30):
to go in the first quarter. In the Blue Golds
marks it right down field as yet Schule goes right
down field on the pop pass. I believe it'll be
scored a pass. It's his second receiving touchdown of the season.
With where that motion was, and now we'll see UW
O Claire set up and if they swinging gate formation here.

(30:50):
The man who is in the quarterback spot is Trey Fitzgerald.
He's typically the holder for this Blue Golds team, and
now he's gonna ask everybody to come back in for
a normal extra point attempt. Connor Raday is the kicker
in this situation. He is eighteen of nineteen on extra
points so far this season than he is now nineteen
of twenty is he nots it through? So with eleven

(31:11):
fifty five left to go first quarter, it's UW Claire seven.
Stout will get them all on for the first time
when we come back right after this here on your
home for Blue Doubles football.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
Welcome back again here to uws Out and to Williams
Stadium as the Blue Devils. Let the Blue Golds march
that thing right down field to start this game as
UWA Claire scores on their first drive, and drive a
very quick one, took just three minutes, six places, seventy
eight yards and a nice job there by Rubidu just
kind of picking apart this Blue Devils defense. He went

(32:22):
four of four on that drive for seventy two yards.
There's only one or two rushes for six it was
mainly through the air guard. Signed with that big thirty
eight yard reception. As there comes a kick toward Evans
on the near side, he'll take it at the six
yard line. He won't. I'll actually scoop it up at
the ten. As he bobbled that it has a lane
for a moment. It closes up quickly across the fifteen
up to maybe the seventeen yard line before he is

(32:44):
taken down through a number of Blue Goals there looks
like Sam Schradel might have been in on that tackle
there on the defensive our, the special team side of things.
As now the start offense will come out here. And
the thing you're worried about it if you're a Stout fan,
is after last week, the way that game ended, you know,
making sure these guys are engaged mentally, because that's a really,

(33:06):
really tough loss what they took last week, up twenty
seven to six on River falls at halftime and then
losing in overtime, allowing a big comeback. And so we'll
see how Stout responds for today. Is it is Adamo
and out of Lake Mills, a junior at the quarterback spot,
and then he will fake the hand off, throw it
out left side. Evans makes the catch at the twenty five,
eludes the tackler, and his forward progress goes back up

(33:28):
to the twenty five. Give me a gain of seven
on the play twenty five yard line. I think they
may market as a gain of eight. Yeah, second and
two here for the Blue Devils. What the defense for
the Blue Goals gives up four hundred and nine yards
per game and they give up two hundred and forty
one of those through the air. As we'll see a
big shift here for Stout. Ben Tolkienen is the back

(33:49):
back from injury here today. Two receivers so the right,
one to the left. Adam Mohan looks to run it
himself instead'll throw it out to Tolkien and catch. Made
it the twenty five. He's got the first down if
he can get past that tackler. He got plenty of
rain in front of him, but a good open field
tackle by Sean Sager, the freshman safety. A good game
though up to the twenty seven thirty seven yard line
or a twelve yard game in the first down here

(34:11):
for the Loutoubs seven to nothing Oa Claire early first
quarter as we tick down under eleven minutes left to
play in the first quarter so far and not a
lot of high sample here or a big sample size,
but so far both the offenses looking pretty solid. Two
receivers left, one to the right here for Stout, Mowen
looks left the entire way, pressure coming gets away, throws

(34:33):
down field. He'll get it to Hock and Sin and
now about the forty two yard line is where he'll
get his progress to a five yard game get the
pressure off the edge there certainly hurts no one's ability
to really kind of develop anything out of that play.
They're getting some pressure here early are the blue goals,
and that's something to watch. Just a stout offensive line

(34:54):
is allowed eleven sacks. But on the left side, you've
got Andrew David starting for the Blue Devil, a sophomore
from Watertown, Wisconsin, and in there for Briot. So how
much in that left side protects they will pull? And
now here's token enough. The gut stays on his feet.
He has the first down on a six yard game.
He's kind of keeping his knee off the turf as

(35:15):
he crawled up to the forty eight yard line on
a six yard game. Token In is averaging three and
a half yards per Kerry coming into today's contest, but again,
he's been limited by injury this season. He has only
played in two games before this one and just fourteen
carries for forty seven on the season. But the average
is good and he's got some good speed. But a

(35:37):
small back five seven, one hundred and seventy pounds sends
a man in motion here that is Patrick Corporate across
the formation. They swing it out to the left side,
Sizoka makes a catch and he has the first out
as he gets flung out of bounds past the forty
five and almost so the forty yard line. They'll give
him the forty one for a first down as well.
A twelve yard game for the Blue Devils, and they

(35:58):
move the chains and a little up ten offense here
from Stout with Oaklayer leading seven to nothing early on
on homecoming Slash Hall of Fame Day, Slash were on
ninety four day. Happy to have you along with us.
Two receivers left, one to the right. The man in
motion is Corcord across the formation. They will give the
handoff on the reid option. It's token and has some
space around the edge, and then gets hit pretty hard

(36:19):
across the forty yep near the thirty seven yard line
in the end to get you on the meta by
Land and westlow stop four on the play second and
six here four Stout as we go, under nine minutes
left to play here in quarter number one. Got a
whole lot to report from the other games across the
yak yet in fact, nobody else has gotten on the

(36:41):
scoreboard as if yet they're all about five minutes in
it's all the games launching at one o'clock today. Two
receivers right, one left again Corkoran goes in motion from
the slot right to the slot left. There's motion beg.
Suzuka got a head start over here on the right side.
We'll see if we have a fix here on our
pa fee. Nope, so false start was the call, and

(37:05):
it was on Zuzuka. We'll try to get that fixed
as best we can. But nonetheless, two doubles. We'll back
up five yards and now it is second and eleven
here forced out, empty backfield. Three receivers left, one right,

(37:29):
tight end also lined up left side, and Mowen gonna
roll to his left to the left side looking downfield.
Throws caught by Hockinson at the thirty five.

Speaker 12 (37:36):
He's got the.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
First down across the thirty and up near the twenty
seven yard line, maybe the twenty six double the chain
sixteen yard game. There is a blue gold down on
the far sideline as well. As Hockinson makes the grab.
He is the man leading the team in receptions coming
into the game with sixteen on the year, and the
blue Gold is down on that far sideline and right

(37:59):
near the trainer. So they'll take a look at him
while we take a quick time out and look around
the league as well. Not only of course the games
and the football side of things in the WYAT going
on today, but there's a number of Blue Devils in
action today as well, and as you look at it,
men's soccer for Stout is at Concordia today three point thirty.

(38:21):
It's Concordia morehead up in the far extreme western side
of Minnesota there as well. The Blue Devil's volleyball team
is at McFee today in ou Claire. They're taking on
now the ranks number twenty fivew Clair Blue Golds in
game one. They're going to play a second game in
a doubleheader against Saint Olaf later today. They're at McFee

(38:41):
as well, and then women's soccer is at home at
two o'clock against Whitewater. So we'll try to keep you
up to date on all of those games as they
become or as they start, and as it become relevant
here throughout the day. So injury time out, I didn't see
who was on that far sideline who got taken off.

(39:02):
But now the Blue Devil's in good shape here. They're
at the twenty six yard line of ou Claire first
and ten on the far hash mark. It is the
backup quarterback Luke Sadean who now pitches it and he
pitches it to Mowen on a little ender on play up.

Speaker 12 (39:14):
It goes Caleb Tim touchdown, Blue Devils.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Caleb Tim with this first touchdown of the season. On
a little gadget play. Luke Sadeen, who was put up
onto the depth chart and the backup quarterback role, handed
it out to Mowen who was lined up as a receiver,
and then Caleb Tim makes second reception of the season.
All that guy does is catch touchdowns. I'll tell you what.
He makes some big touchdown grabs, and he makes a

(39:39):
big one there, twenty six yard touchdown reception. It's seven
to six Blue Golds. With the extra point pending, Luke
Cool will attempt the extra point. It is up and
good and we are tied at seven with seven fifteen
three to go here in the first quarter, we'll take
a break, we'll come back tied up. That's seven here
on WYAT Sports Network.

This is UW Stout Football on News Talk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Welcome back once again here to Uwstount and to Dona
Nona Williams Stadium. A drive that went eight plays, eighty
three yarns, three minutes and fifty five seconds in a
Caleb tim touchdown reception from Adam mohencaps off the drive
in a twenty six yard touchdown reception and we're tied
at seven. So both offenses looking really good here to start.
The defenses looking a little bit for a little Swiss

(41:01):
cheese s on that first couple of drives. And so
now one of these defenses needs to step up. The
Blue Devils hoping it'll be them here as the blue Golds,
we'll get ready for the kickoff. Look cool with the
rock downfield, it goes shool. We'll get this at about
the nine yard line between the numbers and the hash
on the far side, looking for space, dancing around past
the twenty and up to about the twenty three maybe

(41:21):
the twenty four on the tool return. So the Blue
Devils do a nice job containing the return man the schewlol,
and up to the twenty four yard line they go again.
The Blue Devils. We sat on an eight game winning
streak against this UW player squad, and they won the

(41:43):
War on ninety four trophy, which is not that bold.
They started back in twenty ten, and it's got a
lot of really good history too. We'll see even get
a shot of it here at some point on the
video broadcast, and some really interesting history too. It's down
in the end zone, the north end zone and left
end zone here is where they at typically store it
as back to pass. Oh no, they got kind of

(42:04):
confused on the play on the handoff, and they're still
going to get some yards out of this are the
Blue goals. Rubaduo ran in to his running back in
Christian Turgersen, and he still got away from Rubadu and
makes an eight yard gain out of it right up
the gut to the thirty two yard line. So a
confusion on which way you're supposed to go on that play,

(42:26):
and it still worked out as the Blue Devils couldn't
get any penetration into the backfield. Seven to fourteen to go.
Here in this first quarter, Rubaduo rolling out to his
right catch made by Garside the first down lot of
stiff farm over there on Dawson Goodman. As he threw
Goodman down, goes out of bounds at the thirty seven
yard line, gain of five first down. And there's the

(42:49):
senior and the six foot two hundred and five pound
frame of Isaac Garcide just throwing him down. Leading receiver
on this team here for the Blue Golds forty one
receptions for five hundred and thirty nine yard uards receiving
on the season. Onere of the top receivers in the
entire Wyak is Isaac Garcite's got six touchdowns on the
year as well. Now a tight formation here for the

(43:10):
Blue Goals under center goes Rubido in the I formation,
sends his tight end stands in motion right to left
across the formation goes back for the handoff, they'll run
left and hit at the line. Not a whole lot
else for Torgerson as he falls up for a gain
of one to the thirty eight yard line. John by
the Blue Devils Hunter Scape was there along with Nick
mose Second and nine here for eau Claire at their

(43:34):
own thirty eight yard line, six twenty left to go,
first quarter, We're tied at seven. That first drive for
Adam Mohen also perfect on at six of six for
seventy eight yards in the touchdown. Rubydoo is perfect as
well at the moment, five of five for sev seventy
seven yards rather and a touchdown stop bringing the blitz.
Garside gets it on a quick slant. Tackled on the
play by Murphy, but he's got the first down to

(43:56):
the forty eight yard line. Took a big hit as
well from Brooks, Brewer and Garcide. Looks like he's okay,
little slow to get up, but a nice job and
a good read. Every time out has brought pressure. It
looks like o Claire at least is calling the right
play or Rubidu is recognizing it and he's able to
throw a quick slant route a quick pass to get
rid of it before the pressure gets there. And so

(44:17):
far kind of using that pressure against the Blue Devils.
Are the Blue Goals ball out there on forty eight
yard line near hashmark for the Blue Golds and Ruby
wu f takes a handoff rolling out to the right. Now,
we'll give it to the guy he faked the handoff
to Intorgerson on a pass. He's into Stout territory and
near the forty five yard line of the Blue Devils.
I'll mark him out right at the forty five. It's
a gain of seven and into Stout territory. They going

(44:38):
so far Stout's defense does not look great clear and
you got to give o Claire a lot of credit.
They're you know, they're getting their guys out in space
or getting rubidu in movement and just kind of making
the defense have to react to some of these plays.
And so far, and pretty good offense from what we've
seen from the Blue Golds. Here in the contest. Two
receivers go left, no gar sign in there at the

(44:59):
moment running back his Targerson. They're gonna give it to
him running left, good blocking here, and he's got the
first down. To the forty one of Stout, taken down
by Braxton money Kais on the sophomore with thirty tackles.
Money Kaisen was on the second monkey. He's yeah, I'm gonna,

(45:20):
we're Gonnaere'll work on that pronunciation with our pa guy
over there. But nonetheless money Kuison comes up. He was
off the depth chart to start the season, but he's
worked his way into his starter's role. Done a really
nice job here for the Blue Devils. Forty one yard
line of Stout is where the Blue Golds have it,
and here comes Chewel in motion. Rubi Woo fakes a
hand up, throws it out to Chewl. He bobbles, makes

(45:41):
the catch, trying to make him move out at the
forty and he spun down. A good job staying at
home to make that tackle out on the edge pond.
The Blue Devils Dawson Goodman Parton Kramer was the one
who was there at the linebacker spot. He'll get three
maybe four up to the thirty seven yard line. Four
minutes and five seconds rain here in the first quarter.

(46:01):
We're tie at seven as the Blue Golds continue to
march just downfield. So far, Rubidou is perfect we're gonna
do with that pass now eight of eight for ninety
eight yards in this game, and of course has the
one touchdown as well. Chule on the motion. They will
hand it off to the right side. Not a lot
there for Toworderson. They'll get a couple of yards to
the thirty five and you can hear the Blue Doubles

(46:23):
fans a little restless here. They want to see a stop.
Now we are in the fourth down territory range of
the field of the stout thirty five yard line, So
don't be surprised if the Blue Blue Golds rather are
playing for two plays. Of course they'll want to get
the first down here on third and four from the
Blue Devil thirty five. But if they don't get it,
and as long as they get positive yard age, you're

(46:44):
likely going to go four and fourth on. You'd imagine
as well, taking a long time in the huddle though
twelve seconds on the play clock. They finally break the
huddle at ten seconds on the play clock. Three receivers
go left. See if prob Erickson calls a time out
here three seconds two seconds, they will hand it off
trying to bounce it left in a good job by
Hunter scaped to get in the backfield and Sam Tradel

(47:05):
has wrapped up for a one yard loss back to
the thirty six. And now this becomes a little bit
more difficult to go for it on fourth down. It's
fourth and five from the thirty six yard line on
the near hash mark. You need the thirty one for
a first down again. I think the mentality was we'll
run this play to run another one and go for
it on fourth downs. The Blue Golds are five to

(47:25):
ten on fourth down this season. In the Stout defense
has allowed five conversions out of eleven run against him
this year. Twelve seconds on the Playbok two receivers bunch right,
one left, the one left his guard side. He's kind
of on an island out there. We'll send schulan motion
out to the right and back to pass. He throws
it deep for chul It's up and it.

Speaker 12 (47:44):
Is bottled and dropped. Oh, he had a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (47:49):
We had a touchdown, wide open and he dropped it
to Schule. Perfect play call. Stout was selling out for
something short and Scheule got behind every buddy and he
just dropped it and the Blue Devils escape. No other
way to say it. Stout's gonna get the ball at
their own thirty six yard line. That's a big turnover

(48:09):
on downs two twenty left to play here in the
first quarter. And sometimes it's better to be lucky than good,
I suppose, and that is the case there for the
Blue Devils as they escape and Adam Owen comes back
out on offense, it's a first incompletion for Rubidou here today.
Three receivers out to the left to send one of
them in motion, and that man is Patrick Corkran. He

(48:31):
lines up as a running back. He'll get the handoff.
There's a lot of space on the right side looking
and waiting for blockers, and he turns it out. He's
out to the fifty yard line. Great job there by
Patrick Corkran. As Nolan Baker the center pulled out there
and was the lead blocker, got him all the way
to the fifty and a fourteen yard game to the
right side, and Stout's got at a midfield on a
new set of downs for another two minutes and six

(48:54):
seconds remain here in the first quarter. Stout back up
to the line a similar formation. Three receivers left, Raith
Bauer the tight end. Now we'll move in motion to
the left side. Adam Mohen in the shotgun formation from
the fifty, rolling to his left, looking downfield. It's bobbled
and intercepted right through the hands of Dylan Nelson and
right in Oh they're going to say it hit the ground.
They say it hit the ground on the far side.

(49:16):
The Blue Golds can't believe it. I don't think they're
arguing though. Peyton Erickson had the interception and it just
squirted right through his arms. And that's the second drop ball.
One on an interception, one on the cheol reception. This
could be a lot different looking of a game right
now for the Blue Goals if not for a couple
of drops second and ten here at the fifty yard line.

(49:36):
It's a right play, but just Nelson couldn't hold on
to it there for Mohan one. Maybe put a little
too much use on that pass. As they send Corcoran
in motion, they hand it off to him again as
he lines up as a running back. It's hit from behind.
It falls cord across the forty five to the forty
four yard line. A game of six on the play
is Jake Carmichael makes the tackle. The senior defensive tackle
for this Bluett Golds team third and four from the

(50:00):
Blue Gold's forty four yard line, as we have a
minute twenty eight in o'clock rolling left to play here
in the first quarter. Time at seven between Stout, No
Claire man in motion. This is Nelson. He'll motion out
to the right side, empty backfield here now for Stout.
Three receivers to the left, two to the right. Now
they'll check off the play still fifteen seconds on the
play clock to check off what they want to do
here on third and fourteen the forty for a first

(50:21):
down do the Blue Devils, Yeah, they almost got oh
Claire to jump. Mowen will throw near side catch by
Evans at the thirty makes the move to the twenty
five yard line and a big chunk there on third
down and the Blue Devils convert up to the twenty
five yard line. A nineteen yard game for Evans and
the Blue Devils move the chains and they'll have to

(50:41):
run at least one more play here in this first quarter. Well,
they're able to flip and flip the field as they
move to the end to our right, the south end
zone here at Donnana Williams Stadium, get you some score
updates here at the end of the quarter as well. Again,
we will have a tight end rate Bauer on our
halftime show, looking forward to that here later on today.

(51:02):
Three receivers left, one right here from Owen, another empty
backfield set. Mohen gonna run to the right now, a
little shovel pass and that'll be caught across the twenty
to the nineteen yard line. That's Zach Dewhurst, the junior
kind of hybrid tight end receiver, makes the catch on
an old shovel pass here for five yards. Second and
five coming up here for Stout with eight seconds remaining

(51:24):
in the first quarter. Stout's coming to the line quickly.
Let's see if they tried to draw them off side
to run a play. Three two, one left, and they're
gonna let the Zeros wind up on the clock. So
we are through one quarter. We're tied at seven. Ceutain
no player. The Blue Devils are merching the ball down field.
They'll have it at the twenty yard line on the
second and five when we come back right after this
here on the YAX Sports Network.

fantastic day at Colfax Chevrolet.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
This is UW Stout Football on Newstalk wm EQ and
for more information, but here you must be.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Present to welcome back once again here to UWS Down
and to Williams Stadium, as we are back here on
the Ryak Sports and we're happy to have you along
with us. Tied at seven between South and oh Claire
and some Blue Doubles, you're driving the ball well on
this drive. After Oh Claire dropped a pass on a
fourth down that made them turn the ball over on
downs as Yacht Schule dropped probably was a touchdown on

(52:48):
an open play on fourth down and the Blue Doubles escape.
Now they're moving the ball nicely here on their second
drive of the game, Oshkosh with a seven to nothing
lead at stevens point. They're near the end of the
first quorder. In that contest, River Falls Cross have no
score with four minutes and ten seconds left in the
first quarter, and Whitewater, now ranked number nineteen in the country,
is up three to nothing in Platteville on the Pioneers

(53:10):
in that contest. Another good game there in the WIAC
So the Blue Devils now moving right to left here
toward the north end zone to start the second quarter.
Second and five from the Blue Golds twenty yard line.
Hand off to Tolkien and up the gut. He's got
a whole left side. He hits the shoulders right down
into the defender JP Walterstorf and just bowls them over
down to the twelve yard line. Eight yard game on

(53:30):
the playoffs. A first down here, first out on the stock.
JP walters Storf, one of the two safeties in this
game who are graduates of oau Claire Regis. The other
man on the other side for the Blue Devils is
Carson Tate, his brother Everett running big last night to
get to Regis. A squeaker of a win in their
Level one win in the WIA playoffs against Fall Creek

(53:52):
as Adam Owen will give the handoff to Tolien into
the right side on the reid option. He'll crawl across
the line of scrimmage and it's down to about the
ten yard line on a two yard game, and that'll
bring up second and eight here from the ten yard line,
four stouts, so they can get another first down up
the two. Don't need to get it into the end
zone to get a new set of downs. As we
are early in the second quarter with a seven to

(54:14):
seven ballgame here between the Blue Golds and the Blue
Devils in the war on ninety four. Three receivers out
to the right, none to the left. As back to
pass year goes Moen. He pumps, now looks he throws,
Evans catches it at the five spins down. The ball
came out, but they're saying he was down at the
four and so a decent game. They're about six yards
to Evans. It'll bring up third and two from inside

(54:35):
the five yard line of the Blue Golds at the
four yard line, so Blue Devils are on the doorstep,
but they need to at least get the first down here.
As we will see not only rate Bauer enter the
game four stout, but Mason Frank the other sort of
third tight end for this team is in along with
the other tight end slash receiver and Zach Dewhurst, who
caught a pass earlier in the drive. So they got

(54:58):
some big guys in here. For the Blue Devils at
the moment, Evans is the loan receiver out on the left.
Mowen on third and two from the four. He will
give it to Tolkien and up the gut just kind
of goes student body right up the gut. He's down
near the one yard line. It's a first down for
the Blue Devils. You didn't get the touchdown, but Stout
will move the chains. They'll set the chains down in fact,

(55:19):
and it's first and goal from the one. So Tolkienen
push pile just right up the gut. Student body middle
here for the men in Blue is oat player gets
a late substitution. Mowen goes under center and movement movement
on the right side of the line. That's a parsi
parsiic moving And we can't quite hear the official down there,

(55:42):
John Dotin it is a false start. There's a referee
microphone is very low in our system here, so uh man,
we'll try to get that fixed up. At halftime, but
nonetheless it'll move South back to the six yard line.
It is still first and goal. However, forty left to
play here in the second quarter, and as you watch

(56:04):
us at home, the clock on your screen is not official.
Will update you as best we can. As under center
goes mowing again with Tolkienen is the back. He wants
to throw this one. He'll throw it on a fade
route to Evans, and he way overthrew that one. There's
not enough wind to really affect and Mowing just put
a way too much juice under that ball. Single coverage
out here on the near side with Peyton, Erickson and
Ericson did a good job, but that ball was not

(56:26):
catchable by any means for Evans. And so now a
second and goal from the six yard line is coming
your way. Seven to seven hours score here between South
and ou Claire. Well Claire has come to play today. Offensively,
they look great defense, maybe got a little bit a
little bit lucky on the last drive. Now trying to
use that lunk and convert it for a touchdown on

(56:47):
this drine second and goal from the six. Under center
goes mowing again. It is a handoff to Tolkien, trying
to bounce it out on the right, cuts it at
the five toward the goal line.

Speaker 12 (56:56):
He rolls touchdown, Blue Devils.

Speaker 3 (56:59):
Then Tolkien with this second touchdown rushing of the season,
and the Blue Devils take a thirteen to seven lead.
And what's twelve nineteen to go in qour to number two,
we've a rushing touchdown for the Blue Devils. This Blue
Devils team with one hundred and thirty yards rushing per game.
A lot of those in the last couple of weeks

(57:21):
they've come from Adam Mohan in the scramble, but this
time it's been mainly Ben Tolkienen who's gotten the carries
thus far. And he punches it in for the touchdown.
Here is Luke cool on for the extra point snap
spot kick up, kick good, and the Blue Devils take
a fourteen to seven lead here against the Lougols. Twelve
nineteen to go in the second quarter. We'll come back

(57:42):
right after this here on the way at Sportsnework.

This is UW Stout Football on Newstalk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (58:24):
Welcome back in here to William Stadium. We appreciate you
tuning in here on the YAX Sports NETWORKOUN who STOPWWQ
as UW Stout once again marches down and field. They
have been successful on both of their offensive drives so
far here today, this drive going eleven plays sixty four yards,
taking five minutes and one second and cap dot by

(58:45):
the Ben tolkienen rushing touchdown and Stout now leads fourteen
to seven here over the blue goals twelve to nineteen
left to play in the second quarter. Stout with a
win today will be no worse than first place in
the WYAC going into the last three weeks of the season,
and that's a hard thing to turn your head up at.

(59:06):
As Choule goes back to about the one yard line
to receive this kick from Cool and he gets hit
at the fifteen and drop at about the eighteen yard line.
Carter Fonger making the first hit back near the fifteen
yard line, and School gets taken down before he can
get back to the twenty. So many teams now you
see just fair catching or taking a knee if they

(59:26):
can inside the twenty five, just to bring it out
to the twenty five. But Chool's got some speed. They
wanted to try to give him a chance to get
that return. Blo Devil's so far with one hundred and
fifty seven yards of offense to one hundred and eighteen
for Uwclaire. Again, the only miss so far for Rubydu
was that drop pass from Chool on that fourth down
that would have been a touchdown, not only a fourth

(59:47):
down conversion, but likely have been a touchdown as well
as Rubadu with a hard count and pardon me not Rubidu,
it's actually Donahue running to the right side. He gets
tripped up across the twenty near the twenty five. They'll
mark him down at the twenty four yard line. Jacob Donnie,
the senior quarterback only seven pass attempts on the season.
But you see if Ruby, if this is just a
h Rob Erickson decision to bring in a new quarterback here,

(01:00:10):
change things up. I don't think Rubidoo was hurt on
the sideline. We didn't see him get hurt on the
last play. Yeah, he's standing on the sideline at the
twenty five yard line, right near the line of scrimmage.
About a six yard gain on the scramble there. For
Donahue has forty eight yards rushing coming into the game
from the quarterback position. Two receivers out to the left
as well, second and four. He's gonna run it himself
left side, got a hole, He's got a first down

(01:00:30):
out to the thirty had a good run there by
the backup quarterback here, the senior out to the thirty
one yard line, gain him seven on the play in
a first down. Donahue for this Blue Golds team from
Gray's Lake, Illinois raised Lake North High School and a
running quarterback by trade and a good change of pace

(01:00:51):
for this Blue Golds team. And you see Ruby who
is still standing on the sideline, So they're going to
give him the call for the moment here with Donahue
first and ten from their own thirty one. Let's see
if he throws this time, he rolls to his left
wanting to throw, throws it out. Garcide makes the catch
up the thirty five and then he's thrown out of
bounds by Goodman, and there's a late flag. The hits
started before he went out of bounds, but I think

(01:01:13):
it's for the fling down which happened out of bounds.
It's going to add fifteen yards to the play here,
and that's just a little bit of a rivalry game.
You gotta keep your head, and the Blue Devils didn't there,
and Goodman costs the Blue Devils fifteen yards.

Speaker 12 (01:01:29):
God coo on you glack cool one.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
So again it's uh a personal foul, is the call.
And much to the Chagrinada fans in front of us,
here is the Blue Devils. It costs fifteen yards and
they'll move up another fifteen from the end of the run,
which will mark the ball all the way to the
forty six of Stout. After that fifteen yard penalty, ten
to fifty six to go here in the second quarter,
Stout fourteen, Oak Claire seven, and back into the game

(01:01:54):
comes Harry rubydoo, so rubydoo back and a good sequence there.
Cordona Hue at the quarterback position. Two receivers to the right,
one to the left. Cheole goes in motion from the
left side. They'll take the hand off to the running back.
We want to go deep here on the wheel route.
It's up and completed. Garside bobbled and then caught it
inside the twenty five. Goodman had a chance at the interception,

(01:02:16):
but it fell right over his fingertips and Guarside good
concentration down to the twenty three yard line. It's a
twenty three yard gain and it's a first down for
the Blue Golds. Boy Goodman thought he had that lined up,
and Ruby who just dropped it in a bucket right
over his outstretched fingers. As Goodman had not really jumped around.
He was just in front of it, looked around, saw
the ball and I thought he was gonna at least

(01:02:37):
get a deflection, if not get the interception, and just
fell right over his outstretched fingers. Two receivers to the left.
It pardon me three rather, chool goes in motion now
from left to right. Now goes back left. They sling
it out to him. They'll make the catch twenty five twenty.
He's got blockers, he' said the fifteen and then he
gets up ended inside the fifteen yard line to about
the twelve and now an eleven yard gain and the

(01:02:59):
Blue Golds are I mean, the Stout's defense got to
dig in because they are getting pushed backwards right now twelve.

Speaker 12 (01:03:05):
Yard line, not the receivers.

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
We're fourteen to seven Stout with the lead. You can
tell there's some anchors Stout fans at the moment here
in the Blue Golds back to the I formation with
rubydu under center. One receiver out to the right side
is e J. Lock and a little bit of a
bobble on that's catch and now it's incomplete on that
snap rather Ruba who didn't have a good handle on

(01:03:30):
it and missed their lock. And a good coverage down
there by Gavin Goodman as well as Dawson Goodman who
are back in the corner as well. And now it's
second and ten here from the thirteen yard line of Stout.
So another red zone opportunity for the Blue Golds. They
converted on their first here today and they're looking for
another nine to twenty eight left to play here in
the second quarter and a fourteen to seven lead for Stout.

(01:03:52):
Three receivers move out to the right side that shul
is in the slot and ruby Doo once again is
in the shotgun picks the handoff or is it out right?
So I don't want to job by Gavin goodmane to
jump the route. Shool was ready for the wide receiver
screen goodlygue to flexing, But I mean you are off
lay close, offly close to a pick six. Whoa, and

(01:04:17):
now we got a whistle here for I'm not sure
what happened. Is there an injury of some kind? Officials
pull the whistle. I'm not really sure why third and
ten is coming up on the thirteen yard line. Why
they move it to the twelve?

Speaker 11 (01:04:32):
Third down right?

Speaker 3 (01:04:34):
Keep it a twelve yard line? I guess Googles come
to line type formation here one receiver to the right,
two stack left, a tight end lined up off set
right as well. Schradel is the running back, Rubydoo is
the quarterback. With nine to twenty five left to go,
second quarter, start up fourteen to seven, and here on
the Blue Golds need the two for a first down.
Rubyduo throws this one over the middle catch made by

(01:04:54):
guar side. Oh, that's a great effort just to push
through the Blue Devil's defense. He gets ten yards exact
to the two yard line on that left side, just
kind of you. We're top of Nate Reewald and Brooks
Brewer and they just couldn't quite get the push backwards
and its first and goal from the two yard line.
Good job there by the Blue Golds to convert on
third and long and Stout's defense not coming up with

(01:05:15):
what they needed on that play. Nine minutes up to
play here in the second quarter, Stout fourteen Oh Claire
seven under center goes Rubadu. It's an I formation again.
Fitzgerald is the fullback. They'll hand it off left side
to Stradel. Bounces it left, gets away from the first sackler,
but not the second. Gabe Kramer hit him initially, and
then a couple other guys came out to help out.

(01:05:35):
It'll be a loss of a couple on that left
side back to the four yard.

Speaker 19 (01:05:38):
Line, brooks Brewer on the stat for Stot.

Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
In fact, they're gonna mark them all the way back
to the five yard line on that play, so a
three yard loss, second and goal here from the five
for the Blue Goals. We once again the Blue Golds
now twenty one of twenty three in the red zone
this season with eighteen touchdowns, so they have been successful
down here. But the Blue Devil's try to turn him
back under center goes Ruby Doo and the handoff will

(01:06:03):
go again to Stradl counters.

Speaker 12 (01:06:04):
Back to the rne He's cripped up in the backfield.

Speaker 3 (01:06:06):
The initial hit come from Bate Rewald Nick Mose finished
him off. It's a big loss back to the eight
handofs both for three three yard losses both times, and
so stout defense coming up big here on the first
two plays. Now likely a pass situation. Secondary are going
to be called upon to make a big stop. The

(01:06:28):
field goal kicker is Connor Rade, who is just two
of three on the season. Gogals go for a lot
down here as well, so they may be looking at
four down territory as it stands seven thirty six up
to play here on the quarter of Rubu back to
pass Rosadel, left side catch made by Stradl loves the
initial tackler at the five and then falls up to
the four, but nothing else and as the catch is

(01:06:51):
made out there by Stradl. The running back gets about
half of it back to the four yard line. It'll
be fourth and goal. Ruby who wants to stay on
the sideline, or at least stay on the field rather
And now it looks like the field goal unit will
come out. So the Blue Golds are gonna don't really
wave the white flag, but they're gonna bring the field
goal kicking unit out. And again Connor ray Day has

(01:07:12):
not been relied on a whole lot this season. Is
Fitzgerald is the holder, and he's gonna hold from about
the twelve ish yard line. Think we've called this a
twenty two yard attempt, twenty one, twenty two, right in
that range. Only five seconds on the playblock. Oh and
they jumped. Somebody jumped, I think Stout did. Now it's
gonna move him two yards closer, and they'll probably bring

(01:07:33):
the offense out there again. And now they'll try to
go for it on fourth and goal. Officials are talking
about this. I wonder if there may have been an
illegal snap by the center here and by the long
snapper Ben Tiglan. I wonder if he kind of jerked
his head up there. That's why the officials are talking
about this, it looked like, you know, to the naked eye,

(01:07:54):
it looked like it was offside. But the more they
talk about it makes me think maybe we had an
illegal snap or some illegal motion by by the long snapper.
Although the Blue Golds are coming out of this huddle
clapping a bit, and I think they're gonna call this
against the Blue Devils. Here comes a call. Let's see
if we can hear John Dodin, we're going out. So

(01:08:18):
number sixty four is what it was, So now they
will go for it. As you can hear our fans
down below us, there's a Blue Devils defense gonna have
to come back out there. And that off side is
enough to let make the Blue Golds, or at least
give the Blue Golds a confidence to go for it.
Now Here on fourth and goal from the south to
as that was marked off half the distance, they break

(01:08:40):
the huddle. It's an eye formation. Rubadoo under center. He's
got guar side as the only receiver out to the
right side. He will hand it off up the gut.

Speaker 12 (01:08:48):
Nothing doing the little line up in a two yard
lost as Bergman runs right into a host a Blue Shirts.

Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
Nate Reewold was the first man to him, and a
couple others helped out as well, but the Blue turned
back the Hue goals. I thought for sure with that
setup after the losses on the rushes earlier, that OAU
player was going to try to run a little fade
route to Garside on the near side, and they just
try to run it up the gut, and that is
not something that you're going to have a whole lot
of success with against this Stout defense. So for the

(01:09:17):
second time, Stout has turned the Blue Golds over on downs,
and with six point fifty five left to play in
the second quarter, Stout leads fourteen to seven, and they've
got the ball now, but at their own five yard line.
They have scored on each of their first two drives
of this game. Has Stout it's the pistol formation to
start here with eight who was it al routside back?

(01:09:38):
There is the running back now and the pistol and
they will give it to him moving right and he
gets a good run out near the ten yard line,
a five yard gain on first down for the freshman
running back. So that's the third running back we've seen
today for a Stout rallstad In and now Ben Tolkienen
will check back in for him, and Nelson also going
to check into this game. In fact, it won't be Tolkien,
it'll be Nelson Nelson rather, as he comes in. A

(01:10:01):
new Stout receiver is also into the game as well.
Kate Tappan has checked in. He'll go out wide left
along with Zuzuka and Nelson on that left side. I
believe Frank is a tight end off set right. Mowen
here on second and five takes the snap, looks to
run it right and he is tripped up. Not a
lot there at the eleven yard line is where he's
taken down, But the first man to him was Kate

(01:10:22):
and Ton Sager. And he'll get it to the eleven
yard line on a one yard game. Third and four
here for the Blue Doubles on the far ash mark
with six h five up to play in the second quarter,
Stout fourteen Oak Claire seven. Stout turned away the Blue
Golds on a fourth and goal from the two and
now Stout needing four yards to keep this drive alive,
empty backfield. Two receivers of the right, three to the

(01:10:44):
left showing pressure there with the Blue Golds still thirteen
seconds on the play black. Now, Mowen gonna look to
the sideline, maybe check off the play here. It looked
like they were showing some pressure from Jack Tompkins, the
linebacker back to passes Mowen. He lets, ah, he's got
a man of Corcord catch me.

Speaker 12 (01:11:02):
Fifty forty thirty twenty ten ninety yard touchdown.

Speaker 20 (01:11:08):
Reception for Patrick Corkran and the Blue Devils not lead
twenty to seven over the Blue Old Patrick Corkoran now
with two hundred and ninety four yards receiving on the season.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
That's his second touchdown of the year. You heard somebody
down below us say something about cover zero. I think
they read that perfectly because it was cover zero and
Corkoran got behind the initial line and there was no
safety help and he ran it right into the end
zone on a ninety yard touchdown reception. Holy cow, Looke
cool I to attempt the extra point snap spot kick

(01:11:47):
up kick good. Twenty one to seven, So out with
the lead five twenty six left to go. Second quarter.
We come back right after this. Aaron loayak Sports.

This is UW Stout Football on Noose Talk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
Welcome back in here at UW. Stout and Donaona Williams Stadium.
A ninety yard touchdown reception for Patrick Corkoran, the five
foot six speedy receiver senior receiver for Stout, walks it
in for ninety yards and again blown defense here for
the Bluegolds on third and five from the Stout's own
ten yard line, and so was one of their longest

(01:12:56):
plays from scrimmage up the season and of their existence
as well. We'll get you updated on just how long
wear that one rinks and everything at halftime. But nonetheless,
the Blue Golds defense fails them there a little bit,
and it's twenty one to seven leg for Stout. And
you know, just kind of watching this game as there's
fine twenty six left here in the first half, I
would not say that the Blue Golds, you know, I

(01:13:17):
don't know if they deserve to be down by fourteen points.
They have played a much better game than that. As
school takes it between the sideline and the numbers and
about the five yard lines, got a couple of blockers here,
tries to bounce it out the twenty five and then
gets ushered out of bounds at the twenty eight yard line.
Pretty decent return there, per chewl up to the twenty eight. Yeah,
with five nineteen left to play here in this first half,

(01:13:40):
doubts defense is gonna come back out and try to
do their thing. They're against the Blue goals. Patrick corkran
with the big reception. So now Adam Owen ten of
twelve for one hundred and ninety seven yards and two touchdowns.
Blue Devils have two hundred and fifty two yards of offense.
Oh player with one hundred and eighty rubidou Is twelve
fifteen for one hundred and forty six yards rather and

(01:14:03):
a touchdown. Of course, Donahue came in for a few plays,
did complete one pass and the one attempt that he had,
and it is Donahue who's back out at quarterback. He
sends Garside in motion right to left across the farm formation.
Donahue back to pass looking to go deep far sided,
is up and completed to a tight end across the
fifty yard line to the stout forty seven. And I

(01:14:23):
believe that was stands over there on the far side. No,
pardon me, not stands. That is Curtis Johnson, no part
of me. Eg Lock, excuse me. EJ Lock the receiver
on the far so. He's a big receiver, six four,
two hundred and twenty pounds, and EJ Lock makes the
catch over the far side up to the forty seven
of stout, big gut first reception there of twenty five

(01:14:45):
yards for Lock. Lock came in with just five receptions
on the season and seventy five yards receiving as well,
so he's up over one hundred yard mark on that reception.
And as they'll take the handout here Donahue running right,
gets it hard at the forty nine yard line, money
and read it beautifully, and it's a two yard loss.
A tackle for loss won't go down as a sack,
but a tackle for loss for him. He had two

(01:15:06):
and a half tackles for loss on the season coming
in and give him three and a half now. And
now back in comes Rubidouo on second and twelve from
the Stout forty nine yard line. Do you have to
worry about the clock a little bit here if you are,
oh claire is it's a four to ten left to
play here in the second quarter. And again that clock
as you watch at home is not official, so we'll

(01:15:27):
keep you up to date if that gets off at
any point. But it's pretty darn close. Two receivers have left,
one to the right, back to passer left side. Sill
makes the Catchy, went high in the air, came down
at about the forty four yard line of Stout, but
he paid for it, took the hit from Dawson Goodmanwson
got a five yard gain on the play, but it
now makes it third and seven year for the Blue

(01:15:49):
Golds at the Stout forty four. Still in that kind
of go for it range as well. So again, probably
don't need to get all seven yards here if you're
the Blue Golds, because I have a feeling they're likely
going to go for it. If they don't get it,
they need to get to the thirty seven of south
for a first down. One receiver out left, they got
tight ends stacked up near the line, and back to
pass goes Rubau Rubaduo is gonna get some pressure here,
gets away from it, steps up, catch made across the

(01:16:11):
middle at the thirty to the twenty five far sidelights
and tripped up inside of fifteen goes Franco Williams. A
beautiful slant run across the formation. Williams showing off some speed.
He stepped out of ounds at the fourteen yard line.
They'll say, and it's a first down for the Blue Golds.
Big play there on third and seven, and it's now

(01:16:31):
first and ten from the fourteen here for beau Claire.
Good pass, good catch, everything right there. Williams had twenty
six catches coming in to this game. It's been mainly
him and Garside this season in the receiving game, not
a whole lot of contribution from other guys. Those have
been easily. The Lion chairs back to pass once again,

(01:16:52):
goes Rubyu. It's up incomplete, a little bit too far
for his intended receiver, who was Nolan stands over there
on the far side right idea just couldn't quite make
the reception. Stout's defense a little bit late to react.
Give the Bluegoles a lot of credit. I like the
up tempoone offense, kind of throwing Stout off a little bit.

(01:17:15):
Two forty seven left to go here in the second quarter,
and it's sout twenty one and oaklaire seven on second
and ten from the stout fourteen yard line. A couple
men in motion here, they'll reset and stands on the
right side of the line. Now they'll send Schewel in
motion from the left to the right. I'll swing it
out to him in the backfield. Catch made. Blockers are
out there, but a good job by Goodman to help
push him out of bounds inside the fifteen tool is

(01:17:38):
a little bit of pain. Getting up seems to be okay,
gets down to about the twelve yard line. Two yard
gain on just kind of the pop pass out of
the backfield. So the right side brings up third and
about eight I'm gonna call that seven, I guess officially
third and seven. I think our down marker guys just
been a little off over there on the sideline and
the lines up a little behind where the ball act.

(01:18:00):
Julia is not at the nose of the ball, but
at the back of the ball more or less. So
it is third and seven from the stout twelve yard line.
They can get a first out at the five yard line.
Keep the bull goals one fifteen to go or two
fifteen to go. Rather here in the half, Donna You're
gonna run right side, tries to bounce it out on
the right, gets it, and Buddy Kaisan takes him down.
Give Hunter Scapes the credit there as well for intending

(01:18:23):
the play out to the edge of the thirteen yard line.
He'll lose a yard on the play brings up fourth
and eight. We'll get a whistle for the two minute timeout.
As we hit the two minute time out. Here in
college football, twenty one to seven, stout with the lead
on Oaklaire, and as we take the two minute time out,
we'll keep it here. Let you know about the other
scores going on in the wiacw Ashkosh leading twenty one

(01:18:44):
to nothing on Stevens point, six thirty left to play
in the second quarter. There river Falls in Lacrosse are
tied at fourteen nine to thirteen left to play in
the second quarter of their contest here today as well,
and plattell again is playing host to Whitewater and still
has a seven to three lead with four to thirty
seven left from the second quarter. Whitewater with the ball

(01:19:05):
in that one in Platteville toward territory near the end
of the half. So some good games across the wayak
so far, ash Gosh doing to Stevens point kind of
what we thought. But the rest of the game's pretty close.
So out of course, up twenty one to seven here
on Oaklaire two minute time out, it's fourth and eight.
At fourth and eight, I gotta imagine that they're going
to be kicking the field goal here, well, the blue goals,

(01:19:25):
but I've been wrong before and again. You got a
kicker in ray Day who has not been tested a
whole lot this season. It's only attempted three field goals.
Twenty seven is his long, and they are going to
bring ray Day in to kick, so'll be a little
bit longer than his long. On the season. It's like
the hold for Fitzgerald to be right at the twenty
yard line, So this is a thirty yard attempt, three

(01:19:47):
yards longer than his long on the season. Officials are
going to line up for that field goal attempt. Stout
had too many men on the field. They're going to
get that last guy off, and as Fitzgerald is the
holder from the near hashm mark snapspot, the kick is
up certainly long enough, look pretty good, and it is
twenty one to ten, Stout with the lead, with one
fifty six left to go. You're in the second quarter.

(01:20:09):
We'll take a quick break come back with the kickoff
in the two minute droke coming up, fir Stout. Here
on the Yx sports.

Speaker 3 (01:20:55):
Welcome back in once again. Here to Don and Nona
Williams Stadium, twenty one to tens Out with the lead.
No Claire's no player's moved the ball pretty well in
this game, having a hard time finishing off their drives.
They get three out of that last one on a
thirty yard field goal from their kicker and Connor ray
Day drive summary ends up four o Claire going at

(01:21:16):
fifty nine yards and eight plays taking up pre minutes
and twenty two seconds an ending on that field goal.
So Stout up by eleven here with just one hundred
two minutes left to play in the second quarter. Stouts
got all three timeouts, so the two minute drill is
on the way. Evan's going to take this at the
eight yard line, a little bit of confusion with him
and Corcoran wants to bounce it out right though to
the twenty five gets tripped up across the twenty five

(01:21:36):
to the twenty seven yard line. Nice open field tackle
there from Sam Tradel in the.

Speaker 6 (01:21:42):
Special teams unit.

Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
So twenty six yard line here for Stout. Scouts moved
the ball well. They have not fail. They have scored
on every drive they've had. They've had three offensive drives
and scored on all three of them and all been
touchdown so far. So drives have been limited in this game.
Haven't seen a ton of drive like you're used to
seeing sometimes in these college football games. It's only the
fourth drive of the game for Stout and it will

(01:22:06):
be Anna Mohen coming out at the quarterback position. Ben Carls,
the punter slash receiver is in as one of the
five receivers. He will split out wide right, Evans in
the slot to the right, and then three receivers to
the left. Here for Stout, empty backfield, four man rush
for eau Claire Mowen gonna step up running right, He's
gonna run with it to the twenty five shakes the
defender there to the thirty yard line as he is
tapping on the play by Brady Hofner and a four

(01:22:29):
yard game. Second and six coming up here at the
thirty yard line for Stout and one thirty two on
thirty one, the clock ticking down again. All three timeouts
to the Blue Devils. They're probably gonna wait to get
a first down, I'd imagine until they take one of
those timeouts back to pass. Mohen brings it out left,
that is scooped up at the thirty five and a
nice move down to the forty. Can't get out of mound,

(01:22:49):
so can Aaron Williams. He's got the first down on
a ten yard game. Stout will see the clocks stop
to move the chains one seventeen, one sixteen Now is
they wind the clock? So holding on to all three timeouts,
first and ten from their own forty yard line, three
receivers right to left. Mowen throws it left side. Williams
has a catch across the fifty taken down up at

(01:23:09):
the Blue Gold forty six yard line on a fourteen
yard game. Yeah, the tackle came first, Jack Shell drop,
I believe, and Stout will take the time out primary
Land and Westler with the tackle rather and Weslo gets
the tackle on him and up to the forty six
yard line he goes so Stout chunking off a couple

(01:23:30):
of a few chunksy yard is here to get it
into Blue Gold territory pretty quickly, and with one six
to go, the Blue Devils have an opportunity to at
least get three on the board. Again, there is barely
any win to speak up here today. A nice kind
of ball me fall afternoon, mid fifties and weather should
be no factor here in terms of the kicking game today.

(01:23:53):
And Luke Cool we know has a great boot, but
you'd like to get him a lot closer. And I
like the way Stout's move the ball in this game.
They're not thinking field goal here, the king about scoring
a touchdown here as well. Stout with now two hundred
and sixty six yards offense. O Claire two thirty nine.
Adam Owen's been great twelve of fourteen for two hundred
and twenty one yards and two touchdowns. Arubadho's been very
good as well, fourteen of eighteen with one hundred and

(01:24:15):
eighty one yards and a touchdown as well, and torterson
the leading receiver a leading rusher rather four oh Claire
with fifteen yards on four attempts. The leading receiver his
guard sided with eighty nine yards on six receptions for Stout.
Patrick Corkin leads away in yards with those ninety yards
on the one touchdown reception he had here with Mowen
passing it well to him. Three receivers to the right

(01:24:36):
to the left out of the timeout first and ten
here from the o Claire forty six through it left side.
Evans makes the catch and he'll get out of bounds.
They will allow that to be an out of bounds
as well as Evans kind of got pushed backwards. Thought
for a moment they might wind the clock as Brady
Hafner pushed him out at the forty four only a
two yard gain, but no time out needed to be
burned as it's one oh two left to play here
in this second quarter. Two receivers left, three to the right.

(01:24:59):
Mowan's got plenty of time here, I mean twenty five
seconds on the play clock and the clock stopped, and
he will take the snap anyway looking left now over
the middle, gets hit and he did not get taken down.
He's still on his feet. He's gonna run left side
forty five to forty and he'll go on a bounds
here the thirty five yard line. He fell on top
of a defender. His butt went down on top of

(01:25:20):
a defender. Then he just squatted back up and ran
down to the thirty six for about an eight yard
game in the first down, Holy cow, he'll move the
chains he got out of the bounds as well. The
clock remains stopped fifty four seconds up in the second quarter.
It' stout twenty one Oh Claire ten and the Blue
Devils have it now on a new set of downs
at the Oaklaire thirty six yard line had him going

(01:25:41):
again empty backfield. Three receivers right to left, pressure being
shown here by Oa Claire looking left. He'll throw left
side incomplete overthrown for Carls and the pressure came from
the right side and he threw to the left toward
Carls and no chance for Carls to catch that ball,
just a little bit rushed and Mowen did not make

(01:26:01):
a good throw. Second and ten clock stops on the incompletion.
Fifty one seconds remain here in the second quarter, so
twenty one to ten lead for Stout. Stout will receive
the opening kickoff of the second half, so keep that
in mind here as well. Mowen in the shotgun near
hash mark three receivers right, two to the left. As
they move right to left on your radio, dow Kirkran

(01:26:21):
goes in motion. They fake the end around to him.
He'll run it up the gut, doesn't have the first down,
only gets to the thirty one, about five yards on
second down, third and five. Clock is gonna tick here
forty thirty nine. Stout will not take a time out yet.
O'claire has three timeouts remaining as well. Mowen wants the snap,
takes it. Here comes the pressure from o claire, throws

(01:26:42):
it right side, catch me by Williams at the twenty
five and he gets taken down at about the twenty two.
He's got the first down, and they will stop the
clock to moot the chains. Stout not taking the timeout
yet now they will with twenty night seconds remain and
a first down of the twenty two yard line there
for the Blue Devils on a ten yard game just
outside the red zone. Now down to just one time

(01:27:02):
out left, twenty eight seconds remaining here in the half.
On a twenty one ten lead for the Blutops. That's
it repen on that reception by Williams going now up
to two hundred and thirty three yards passing here in
the game. The guy so one first and ten rather

(01:27:24):
here for Stout and twenty eight seconds remain and I'm
owing it's really impressive so far here for Stout passing
two hundred and let's see forty two yards, I believe
officially now in the score sheet we'll have that in
a second. Two touchdowns passing for him as well, the

(01:27:45):
receptions from Patrick Corkan on that ninety yard touchdown reception,
Caleb tim on that little gadget play that went for
twenty six yards and a touchdown as well. Those are
the two touchdown receptions that have been completed here as well.
So twenty eight seconds remaining year and the half, and
had just one time out left for Stout, all three
timeouts left. Four roau Claire as we are back out

(01:28:07):
of the timeout, anam owing three receivers right, one left,
The one left is Evans on his own first and
ten from the twenty two mo one gonna roll to
his right, throws it out there. It's caught near the
sideline and he goes out of bounds. Immediately does Tucker Hockinson,
and he's close to the first down. I think they're
gonna mark him a yard short at the thirteen yard line.
Nine yards on the reception. It'll be second and one,

(01:28:27):
twenty four seconds only four seconds came off the clock
and it's second and one. But now the ball is
at the thirteen yard line and still have that time
out in your pocket. Three receivers left, one to the right,
The one to the right is Hockinson on the far
Hashmark on the right side. Mohen now gonna roll to
his left, looks left toward Carls. He will go up
and make the catch. Great catch inside the ten yard
line to the eighth live yard game. It's first in

(01:28:51):
ten twenty seconds. Left toe tapped near the sideline and
then went on the bound. So the clock stops again
and Stout doing a really nice job using the sideline
of the advantage here on this trot has spent a
very impressive two minute drill here for Stout, starting back
deep in their own territory. Now they moved it inside
the ten here at the eight perst some goal. Three

(01:29:12):
receivers to the right, one to the left. Here for
anam Mohen, he'll send Nelson his tailback to his right,
awaiting the sap from Nolan. Baker takes it here comes
a pressure throws it over the middle. It is a
Corkoran pull extension on the slant in the end zone.
His second reception a TD reception of the game, and
the Blue Devils now only twenty seven to ten over

(01:29:34):
the Blue goals was seventeen seconds remaining here in the
first half. He had to go full extension there and
Corkoran did and they brought the pressure mow and recognize
it and whew. He needed to get into the quick
hot route and that's exactly what he did on the
slant route. Here's look cool for the extra point. A

(01:29:56):
little bit of win now at his back. It seems
like here in this second quarter, the snap is good,
the kick is good. Man, it's a twenty eight to
ten league double sake quack great come back final seventeen
seconds and a half right after this here on the
YAX Sports Network.

EQ Welcome back Agin here to Dona Noda Williams Stadium.
The Moo Devils at they twenty eight to ten lead
here over u W. Claire has a two minute drill.
Aren't is a right down field for the Blue Devil
is now Adam Owen as two hundred and fifty four
yards passing in this game. He's seventeen and twenty. He's
got three touchdown passes. He now since it thirteen touchdown

(01:31:08):
passes on the season, just three picks. Had a good
look for the Stout offense. They have been very good
all game long here have Stout. In fact, they have
gone on four offensive drives and they have got a
touchdown out of every one. That one eleven plays seventy
four yards in a minute and thirty two seconds. A
really good job using the sideline and just conserving time.
Is look cool with the chip shot here taken at

(01:31:30):
the twenty five yard line by one of the up
backs of the thirty big hole right up the gut
to the forty and maybe the forty one forty two
yard line. Let's see who that upback was. Who took it?
Relay that was Fitzgerald. Yeah, Fitzgerald on the return, and
so he'll bring it out to the forty two yard
line of Oa Claire. Eleven seconds remain here in the
second quarter. Stout twenty eight oh Claire ten here on

(01:31:52):
the YAX Sports Networking News Talk WMQAM eight eighty ME
Nomine translator W two nine two EG one oh six
point three fmoclaire Art Radio station. Thanks to having us
along again, Rape Bauer, the tight end for the Blue Devils,
will be our halftime guest. Looking forward to that. We're
hoping to play both of those Burm and Bower interviews
on the video sides. If you're launching us, we'll try

(01:32:14):
to get you both of those at halftime as well
as once again we're gonna see wheel route. This is
up and intercepted at the forty one yard line. As
brooks Brewer comes down with that. They ran a reel
route to line lane and Tom Sanger comes down with
it at his own forty one is. Brooks Brewer has
his fourth interception of the season. This Stout defense has
thirteen picks on the year. Now I don't think sound's

(01:32:37):
gonna do much with it here. They've only got one
time out five seconds remaining. I guess you could probably
I think five seconds probably not enough time to throw
a pass. To get it in Louke cool range, you'd
have to get down really quick and so have to
be kind of just just an out route, not even
an out rount, but just a streak right, a fade
and get it to him really quick and go down

(01:32:57):
around the forty thirty five yard line. They're gonna play
this like it's a hail Mary coming up, and right
now it will be. It looked like it was gonna
be Mowen our pardon me, was gonna be Saedine. But
now Mowen's gonna come in and he may just take
a knee here. See if he goes back in the
shotgun they start the play clock, and yeah, he's up
at the line. He's just gonna kneel this one down

(01:33:19):
and Adam Moan will take the knee and that will
do it. Here in the first half, twenty eight to ten,
stout with the lead. I'm on UW Claire, and what
we're gonna do is take a two minute break. If
we'd come back, we'll have halftime stats and more, and
then we'll take an extented break with those interviews and
much more coming up here from Donna Ohana Williams Stadium.

So many of you have told me about your plans
for the future, starting a business, buying a home, retiring

I will take on price gouging. I will lower the

cost of health care insurance. We cap the cost of
insulin at thirty five dollars a month for seniors. I'm
running to do that for everyone. And I will provide

Donald Trump, well, he wants to give more tax breaks
to the wealthy, whereas I will cut taxes for the

middle class instead, because I know working people want to
do more than just get by. You want to get ahead,

Speaker 3 (01:36:06):
Here too down a known Williams Stium. It is halftime
of South versus Oaklaire in the War on ninety four
and Blue Devils with a commanding twenty eight to ten lead.
But the Blue Golds, you know, might say, hey, we
got a chance to come back and that sort of thing,
and they definitely do. They'll be, I'm sure, give out
a big effort in this second half. But after what
happened to South last week in River Falls, you know
this Blue Devils team is gonna be well aware of

(01:36:27):
what can happen when you have a lead at halftimes.
Sound was up twenty seven to six on river Falls
at halftime last week ended up losing an overtime forty
to thirty seven. So they will be looking to stop
that from happening. As those of you watching at home
seeing the dance team get some reps in here at
midfield here at halftime of Homecoming and halftime of the
war on ninety four. Ye Peknutson with you twenty eight

(01:36:49):
to ten, South with the lead. Let's look at the
halftime stats real quickly here before we send it back
to our extended break with Raith Bauer. As part of
our halftime show, Blue Devils with three hundred and twenty
six yards of total offense, oak Player with two hundred
and thirty nine yards of total offense. Dout had fifteen
first downs. Oaklaier have thirteen in that first half, seventy
two yards of rushing first down Oaklair with just twenty five,

(01:37:11):
which is what we kind of expected that they were
going to rely on the pass game mainly on offense,
and for the most part, I think the past game
went pretty well, but the problem that Oaklaier had in
that first half was that they did not convert in
the red zone. Had some great chances. They're zero for
two on fourth down, so a couple of turnovers on
downs which have really hurt them in Stout four or
four on third down. In this game, Oaklair just three

(01:37:33):
of six on third down and zero with two on
fourth dound as well. So it kind of gives you
a little bit of that sense that they have not
been able to come up with those big plays that
they have needed here today. Penalties have been pretty non existent.
Stout has had three penalties accepted against them for twenty
five yards. Oaklaiir has not committed a penalty in that
first half. Individually. Adam Mohen of seventeen of twenty for

(01:37:54):
two hundred and fifty four yards and three touchdowns. Ben
Tolkienen ran for thirty yards and a touchdown on six attempts.
Corcoran had a couple of rushes for twenty yards as well.
He also received two passes. They are both touchdowns. Won
a ninety yard touchdown reception and then another an eight
yard touchdown reception as well as part of that two
minute drive. They got it done for the Blue Devils.
Other receivers in this game who have contributed Devonte Evans

(01:38:17):
with thirty four yards receiving, Williams with thirty three, Hockinson
thirty tim with the twenty six yard touchdown reception that
started the scoring today. Tolkienen's caught a pass out to
the backfield for twelve yards, the Zulka pass for eleven,
Carl's five, Deuhurst five, so that is a total of
nine different receivers who have caught a pass here today
for the Blue Devils. For the Blue Goals fourteen of

(01:38:37):
eighteen is Harry rubydu for one hundred and eighty one
yards and a touchdown two of three for Donahue who
has come in sort of intermittently, but he threw that interception.
It was Donahue through the interception, not Rubyu at the
end of the half there as well for thirty three
yards for Donahue. Today. Receiving has been the main stay
for the Blue Goals eighty nine yards receiving for Garside
forty six pertual on five receptions, two receptions for Williams

(01:38:59):
for forty three year. Ars Tool has the touchdown reception
here for the Blue Golds this afternoon. So that is
your halftime scores. Stout twenty eight, Oak Claire ten other
scores quickly Oshkosh leading Stevens point at half time twenty
eight nothing. It is almost half time in Lacrosse River
Falls and Lacrosse tied at fourteen with about a minute
and a half left in the first half. There. Whitewater
has taken a ten to seven lead at halftime on

(01:39:21):
Platte Bill today, down at clap bill. So those are
your halftime scores. We will take an extended break, mister Price.
We're gonna take twelve minutes, twelve minutes before we come
back here to Williams Stadium, and we will have the
second half for you in about twelve minutes. If you're
watching us on the video side, you will see both
the Clay Birmingham interview and Raith Bauer. If you're listening
to us back on the radio side, we're gonna get

(01:39:43):

of this extended break. In twelve minutes, we'll be back
here at the park. But until then, at halftime, it's

It's halftime here of South Versus Ea Claire war On
ninety four and Raith Bauer full.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Backslash tight End Slash Reais under the Stars transits here
on our halftime show, Rightfgate taking the time with us
and thank you. Let's talk a little bit about the
season so far. We talked about with coach Birmingham of
the pregame show. Obviously last week a little bit disappointed
with you guys are five and two. You're in a
multi way tie for the top of the conference, and
got to imagine you guys are pretty happy with how
the first six games have gone overall.

Speaker 23 (01:41:51):
Yeah, I mean I think we're quite happy, but I
mean there's things that we go back and change if
we could, but you can't. It's going to keep focusing
one week at a time, one play at a time.
Everybody is there, one eleven, everybody.

Speaker 6 (01:42:05):
It will be just fine. Does it help?

Speaker 3 (01:42:07):
Kind of as having the quote unquote bounce back game
from River Falls boh Claire that it's a rival and
you guys know, everybody obviously gets up.

Speaker 6 (01:42:14):
For Claire and focuses up. Does that help kind of
in that situation? I'd say yeah a little bit.

Speaker 23 (01:42:18):
I mean, they're a good one to have for a
bounce back game like that, just because everybody wants to.

Speaker 6 (01:42:24):
Beat the heck out of them, you know. But I
feel like every game in this conference is a arrival week,
it seems like.

Speaker 9 (01:42:31):
So it's hard.

Speaker 24 (01:42:33):
So are you?

Speaker 3 (01:42:34):
So when you came into the room, we were calling
you a weapon here, whether it's a tight end or
a fullback or whatever it is. What you know, you
get you kind of line up all over in those
spots and kind of touchdown last week against River Falls.
What what do you like about kind of how the
coaches use you in terms of those positions and kind
of the versatility different things.

Speaker 6 (01:42:52):
That you get to do out there.

Speaker 23 (01:42:53):
I like that, you know, I'm kind of able to
put myself in a winning position, like knowing who I
have to block or where I have to be, like
they have they let me go wherever I kind of.

Speaker 6 (01:43:07):
Need to be to make myself successful.

Speaker 16 (01:43:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:43:10):
That it's been fun to watch, and you get to
work with a bunch of the other guys a kind
of those positions k Lob and others, right, learning from
them and getting to hang out with them.

Speaker 6 (01:43:17):
You guys seem like a fun group of guys.

Speaker 16 (01:43:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 23 (01:43:19):
I mean we've been together for you know, since we've
been here, Caleb and I at least, so I mean,
we got a good group. We're pretty close. I mean
we love hanging out on the weekends after games too,
So I mean it's really I'm out of a family
than anything.

Speaker 6 (01:43:32):
You were a business admin major here from Mondobe.

Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
We talk about, you know, kind of why you came
to Stout and what you plan to do with the
major once you graduate.

Speaker 25 (01:43:40):
Well, I came to South and I didn't really know
what I wanted to do, so I was like, well,
business admins about as broad as you can get. And
I knew I want to play football, and they recruited me.
So I'm like, might as well, you know, go play
football and get a degree while I'm at it. And
I still don't know what I want to do yet,
but business should come a quite.

Speaker 9 (01:44:00):
A bit of it.

Speaker 3 (01:44:00):
I imagine that's a fun part for you being from
Adobe to having guys on the team that either you
played against in the dun Saint Croix or the Clover
Belt or whatever it was, right, I mean, you've got
a number of guys that you probably matched up against.
What's that like to be a teammate It's I know
you've been teammates a while. What's it like to get
to play with some most guys from Regis or Spring
Valley or whatever it might be.

Speaker 6 (01:44:19):
That's pretty fun.

Speaker 25 (01:44:20):
I mean, you keep it lighthearted and we give each
other crap, and that's pretty fun.

Speaker 3 (01:44:25):
I mean it was good because we were good when when.

Speaker 23 (01:44:28):
I was in high school, so we beat most of
the guys, so we can talk a lot of trash.

Speaker 3 (01:44:34):
Well, it's certainly fun to watch it now as you
get ready for the So Clear game and the last
four games of the season. Obviously you guys have team
goals and whatnot, But what's kind of your goal? What
are you hoping to get out of these last four
games of the year.

Speaker 23 (01:44:44):
You know, I just I want to keep everybody healthy.
That'd be my main thing. And you know, hopefully just
take it one week at a time and try to win,
you know, win the trip and just you know, go
want to know every.

Speaker 6 (01:44:56):
Week, see what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:44:57):

this week in sports history. We'll start off in nineteen

two knockouts.

Gretzky becomes the first NHL player to reach the two
thousand point plateau. Gretzky still is the all time leader

(01:50:08):
with twy eight hundred and fifty seven points, a record
that may never be equaled. This week, in the year
two thousand, the Monday Night Miracle. Down thirty to seven
at the end of the third quarter, the New York
Jets put together an improbable comeback with four touchdowns and
a field goal in the fourth, eventually defeating the Miami
Dolphins forty to thirty seven in overtime. And this week

(01:50:29):
in two thousand and two, EMMITTT. Smith breaks the NFL
career rushing yardage record held by the late Walter Payton
on an eleven yard run in the fourth quarter. Emmett
Smith is still number one on the list. And that's
just some of what happened this week in sports history.

This is UW Stout Football on Newstalk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (01:51:55):
Sorry Golla, here's your winning number and we welcome you
back here to Dona No No Williams Stadium as we
are getting set for the start on the second half
between Stout and Oh Claire. It's a twenty eight to
ten lead for Stout over the O Claire Blue Golds,
as the Blue Devils have scored on every one of
their offensive possessions. Here sands that kneel down at the

(01:52:18):
end of the half after the interception from Gavin Goodman
pecadots and with you. Dan Price is our radio producer
here on Newstock WMQ, and of course special thanks to
Ben and Skyler and all the great group here on
the video side here in on the Yank Sports Network.
Stout's going to start off with the ball here in
the second half. We already talked about the halftime stats,
and this Blue Devil team, as we said, have won

(01:52:41):
eight in a row, and the War on ninety four.
Of course, a number of years ago the Blue Devils
and the Blue Golds decided to put together the War
on ninety four trophy, which is kind of the you know,
the trophy that has won for whoever wins this rivalry,
but that didn't start until twenty ten between these two sides.
And one of the fun things about this trophy as well,

(01:53:02):
and so hopefully we're going to be able to get
a shot of it here at some point. But nonetheless,
one of the fun things about this trophy is the
fact that it has been broken a number of times,
and it's the story was interesting. It was a warm
up kick that hit the trophy head on. This was
back a few years ago, back in twenty twenty one,

(01:53:24):
and the hardware, you know, the pine basically the wood
that it's made of, did not really stand a chance.
That split right down the middle. And so Jed Schlegel,
a former safety for the Blue Devils, was a construction
major and a good guy working with his hands, woodworking
guy as well, and he was able to put some

(01:53:44):
metal brackets in between it, and Gluett Slash put it
back together and has not broken since. But I do
remember when it was split in half, and then the
Blue Devils won it on the road down at Carson
Park and they went down to the end zone and
they made basically celebrated with two pieces of that trophy,
which is always the fun, right, I mean, that's the
fun of those old trophies, rivalry trophies, you know, the

(01:54:07):
little brown jug, the old oaken bucket, you know, all
those great ones at the Division one level. We got
a little bit of that history here between Stout and
Euclaire with their look on this trophy as well, So
we are almost ready for the opening kickoff here of
the second half. As we said, Stout will receive this kick.
There is not much whin to speak of, so which
end of the field you're kicking to or not kicking

(01:54:29):
two not really mattering. A whole lot. Special thing there
at halftime as well, special thanks to Rate Bauer for
joining us on our halftime show. But a special thing
is that it's Hall of Fame weekend and the Hall
of famers getting inducted. As now we do we get
a look at that I ninety four trophy. There it is,
and it's hard to tell. It's hard to tell where
it's split down the middle because Jed Schlegel did such
a good job putting it back together. But you can

(01:54:50):
see there's not a whole lot of plaques on there,
just because this is a relatively new trophy, even though
this is one hundred and first meeting between these two sides.
As well, it's one of those great rivalries here the
wayak in a Division III football and that's what they're
playing for there is well, one of the coolest things
that started in twenty fifteen when someone won the trophy
is they started not running to go get it right

(01:55:12):
at the last whistle. They basically all go and make
sure that they shake hands before they go run and
get that trophy as well as there is you know,
a bad blood like it's a rivalry, right, but it's
not that bad of blood where they don't shake hands
after the game. And that's always a good thing to see,
all right, Ready for the run up here at the
start of the second half, here we go downfield, it
goes toward the Blue Devils, and it is Patrick Corkoran
on the far side at the eleven yard line between

(01:55:34):
the numbers and the hash mark, looking for blockers. He's
got a big lane to the thirty. They're going to
make a move with the thirty five bounces off a
tackler still on his feet across the forty and up
to the forty four yard line on a great return
of thirty three yards for mister Corkoran, and he is
having himself a game here against the Blue Golds. Patrick
Corkoran's an interesting story because he's one of those guys
who you know, doesn't come from this rival, doesn't live

(01:55:54):
in the area, grow up in this area. And then
he gets the stout and Patrick Corkoran is the one guy.
You will see him the front row at every basketball game,
You'll see him at hockey games, and in the Blue
Golds versus the Blue Devils. He'll be on the road
for it, he'll be at Johnson Field for it, and
he'll be the loudest student in the student section that
there is. He just absolutely loves playing in this rivalry

(01:56:15):
and being part of this rivalry as well. All right,
twenty eight to ten, Stout with the lead. They've got
the two backs on the backfield. Look here with tolkienen
and Bauer back there. They'll hand it off to Tolkien
encountering to the right side, and he just kind of
crawls up to the fifty yard line on a five
yard gain on first down. There's a Blue goal down
behind the play. That's Brady Poles, the freshman defensive end

(01:56:37):
six with three and twenty pounds, had twenty six tackles
coming into the game, and he is in some pain
right back at the line of scrimmage. No flags on
the field, and he will be tended to here by
the Blue Golds training staff. Here momentarily, second and five
coming up here for Stout. When we resume as the
first play of the second half is an injury on

(01:56:59):
that five year yard run. Other scores in the WIAC
ares follows Oshkosh leading thirty five to nothing in Stevens Point.
River Falls did get a field goal at the end
of the half against the Cross the River Falls of
the seventeen to fourteen lead on the Eagles of w
w Lacrosse Whitewater leading ten to seven in Plattfell. They
have just started the second half there as well. So

(01:57:20):
those are your scores from around the WIAC. Soccer going
here for stout this afternoon, and it is women's soccer
here at home today. They're the first one underway and
there is no score right now with Whitewater as they're
just getting underway at Nelson Field off past the far
sideline here of Williams Stadium. Second and five now after

(01:57:42):
the time out, and it is an option play. Tolkienen
bobbles the pitch, but he gets to it and he's
going to get the first down as he kind of
rolls on top of the defender there in Brady Hoff
and he will get just En up for the first down.
And Tolkien, it is such a small running back, elusive
in that sense that a lot of times he can
do that. He can just literally let his body fall
on top of a defender and he rolls on top

(01:58:04):
of him to the forty five yard line for a
five yard gain in a first down. So first down,
Blue devils into Oaklaire territory at the forty five yard line.
Stout leads twenty eight to ten. Here on UW. Clair,
we are under fourteen minutes left to play in the
third quarter. Just one minute in to the second half.
Two receivers rather stacked right, one left now and they'll
send Carls in motion right to left, hand off to
Tolkien and trying to get past the first defender does

(01:58:27):
and then gets taken down on the play by Walter Korish.
He was hitting the backfield by Aiden Dross, and then
Korus took him down for no gain at the forty
five I'll tell you what Dross had him, probably for
a two or three yard loss if he could have
made that tackle. But Tolkien and very elusive and very
slippery inside there gets back to the line of scrimmage.
It's second and ten on the near hash mark here
for Stout. One receiver left, one right, Carl's in the

(01:58:54):
slot to the right. He goes in motion right to left.
Second and ten need the thirty five mowing back to
pass throws right man. That was I think a little
bit one of those passes incomplete here trying to go
to Zizulka. And the part of that that I think
threw Mowing off is that Tonzeger, the cornerback, stepped up
in a zone and he was kind of lurking in
the pick six territory right near the line of scrimmage

(01:59:16):
as he was going on that quick out route and
ended up elevating that ball. I think more to throw
it incomplete and make sure he avoided the interception an incompletion,
but I think probably a good one there for Mowen
because eau Claire backed off into a bit of his
own coverage and he was not ready for it. Three
receivers to the left, one of the right, empty backfield
with a tight end offset left, sent a man in
motion that's Carl's left to right now goes into the

(01:59:38):
backfield mowing pumps now looks left the entire way. They
throw it out that way now when it is comp
by Devorak, he gets past the forty reaches out near
the first down marker, but he will not have it.
He's about a yard and a half short and at
the thirty six and a half, about eight and a
half yards on the place. Doubt's gonna go for it
here McCabe Devorak, who is also a hockey player, first

(01:59:59):
down and staying on the hockey team playing last night
in another exhibition game. South hockey program not underway yet,
but he reaches out for eight and a half yards,
so fourth and a yard and a half from the
oh player thirty six and a half. They need a
thirty five. It's a handoff Tolkienen hitting the backfield. He rolls, Oh,
he got close, but I don't think he got there.
A good job there once again by Aiden Dross to

(02:00:20):
get in the backfield, and he is short. He's a
whole yard shortened fact. Stout thought that they could get
it on the run and they could not. Great penetration
by Aiden Dross. He's gotten in the backfield a couple
times on this drive. And when twelve thirty one left
in the third quarter for the first time, Stout comes
up empty on a drive and it's now first and
ten here for the Blue goals. Not what you're looking

(02:00:42):
for there, Stout. I think maybe getting a little too
confident in their rushing attack at that point and might
to have seen getting mowing in a little bit of
motion or something like that. They're not sure up the
middle was the way to go with a five foot six,
one hundred and seventy pound running back, one receiver out
to the right, stacked up here for the quarterback in Rubadu.

(02:01:02):
He throws out left side catch made across the thirty five,
but immediately tackled on the play by Carter Fonger. It
was brody or party body's end. We senior tight end body,
You'll get up to the thirty eight yard line all
and mark them at the thirty seven. Just one yard
on the game and a nice job there by Fonger
to get out and make the stop. Chris Scott second

(02:01:22):
and nine here for the blue goals. Oh Claire two
hundred and thirty nine yards of total offense out with
three hundred and forty four under twelve minutes left to go.
Third quarter. Stout twenty eight oh player ten handoff right side,
hitting the backfield and dropped hitting the backfield immediately and
dropped Liz Bergman and a great tackle in the backfield
there by walker Byrol.

Speaker 12 (02:01:44):
He's gonna go out guy.

Speaker 3 (02:01:46):
At the thirty five yard line. He gets a loss
of two. On the plays third and eleven at Oak
Claire with two running plays apartment with a short pass
play and now running play. They've gone backwards the yard.
It's third and eleven. They need the sout forty six
yard line for a first down. All of a sudden,
the defense is digging in a little bit here to
start the second half. One receiver out to the right.
Here for o'claire, three receivers stack left, including a tight

(02:02:10):
end back to pass. Here goes Ruby Doo Rubaduo is
gonna get hit. Hiss he throws goes right side. It
is up and in complete for guards side, no plan.

Speaker 12 (02:02:18):
Late on the play. Holy cow.

Speaker 3 (02:02:22):
Brooks Brewer was there, and you could tell the fans
not happy with the back judge is gonna come in
here and try to maybe convince the field judge on
the far apart of the side judge on the far
side that it wasn't a pass interference. But that was
a really really really late flag unless they're gonna say
it is uncatchable. You can hear some of the anger
and the fans, and there's a man down as well

(02:02:45):
behind the play. Jake Thompson, the right guard here for
o Claire is down. Let's hear the call, see if
we can hear it from John Dodine, head official. Right now,
third and eleven. Still they have not moved the six.
They may be waving this off. Let's see. I think
they're gonna wait for the injury to be cleared up
before we hear any announcements. Eleven fourteen to go here

(02:03:08):
in this third quarter, Stout leading twenty eight to ten
on eau Claire and Jake Thompson, the senior rank guard
getting tended to here for the blue goals. Thompson out
of Chai Hi team that had its playoff. Hope's dashed
last night. Man, he's still getting looked at there. So

(02:03:30):
blue devils, I mean, they look like they're backing up here,
like they assume this is going to be an accepted penalty.
They did not white wave this off, luckily, Thompson getting
off under his own power. Here's the call from the official.
So it is a pass interference fifteen yard penalty on
Brooks Brewer. Brewer the leading tackler on this Blue Devils

(02:03:53):
team and a great defender. Couple of breakups and three
apartment now four interceptions. Has he got one in the
last at the end of the half as well on
the season. So then ball moves to the fifty yard
line and it's first and ten here for the Blue Golds.
They pass it out of the backfield left side one
a play there by Dawson Goodman gets the hit, now
gets away from it. There just stands who made the catch,

(02:04:14):
and he'll actually get a yard on the play. Now
they're gonna mark them right at the fifty, so no
gain on the play as stands is marked down at
the fifty yard line. He got about a football, it's
about how far they'll give him, and I'll mark it
back at the fifties. So second and ten. A good
job there by Dawson Goodman to get back in the
backfield and blow up the wide receiver screen really has
not been there for the Blue Golds today and stops

(02:04:35):
just reading it really really well, Let's see if Raco
Williams out wide left guard side wide right chewle in
the slot to the right, and he will make the
catch on a quick slant across this out forty five,
still on his feet and now finally it gets taken down.
There's a blue gold helmet that popped off as well,
and that was yacht Chewel who made the catch, who
also lost his helmet. And he will get forward progress

(02:04:56):
of the forty three yard line. So a third and
three coming up, A thirty four help the forty three, okay,
he will give them the forty three. So it is
the seven yard gain. Third and three now coming up
here for the Blue Golds twenty eight to ten. Stout
with the lead ten twenty seven left to go. Third quarter,

(02:05:17):
Blue Golds in South Territory. Third and three from the
south forty three two receivers left, rather one of the right.
There's movement on the left side not called. Ruby Doo
throws out right side, and there's a miscommunication. He thought
Garside was running an out route. Garside ran a fade
route there and just running that toward the end zone
and ruby Doo throws it away. So fourth and three

(02:05:38):
now here from the south forty three yard line and
the Blue Golds down by eighteen, likely going to go
for it here. Stout went for it. On fourth and
one and a half on their first drive of this half,
and got turned away on a turnover on downs Stout
trying to return the favor ball at the south forty three,
right in the middle of the hash mark. So the
one receiver guar side out to the right, two to
the left lefter Ton Sager as well as Williams, and

(02:06:03):
once again Rubyu back to pass, now going to try
to bring the pressure. They get to him hit as
he throws catch made though as he gets to throw
away down to the thirty yard line goes Ton Sager.
He was hit on the play by Daniel Lockron, but
not in time to get there and make the sacks.
So down to the thirty yard line they go, and
it's a thirteen yard gain a first down on fourth
and three second. It's the first time that the Blue

(02:06:25):
Golds have converted a fourth down today. They're now one
of three on fourth down and down to the thirty
yard line they go, and the Blue Golds moving it
well down by eighteen ninety left to play here in
the third quarter. Two receivers of the right as once
again ruby Wu goes under center. Rubyu hands it off
in the backfield and no dice for Bergmann running right.

(02:06:45):
He got hit ammediantly in the backfield there escape Skate
with the stop and also Richie Murphy coming into help
out on the tackle. He'll be a loss of one
to the thirty one man. It's second and eleven here
for the Blue Golds with the ball right middle of
the hash marks Rubyduo, the senior quarterback. So far today
is eighteen of twenty four for two hundred and two yards,

(02:07:06):
one touchdown, one pick. It was Ruby Doo who threw
that interception. I thought it was in the first half.
They'd given it at halftime to Donahue, but it was
Ruby who rather, he'll throw to the right side out
of the backfield, catches made by Bergman on the right,
and he will get to the twenty five and then
fall up to about the twenty three yard line. It
was initially Brewer who tackle him there and then Goodman
helped out on the to finish it. But he gets

(02:07:28):
a decent game up to the twenty three yard line
of eight yards and now it's third and three here
for eu Claire. And again not a team that kicks
a lot of field goals, so I think they're still
in four down territory if they don't get it here
at this point in the field once again the red zone.
They may think about the field goal, but they're thinking touchdown.
They need them as well. Down twenty eight to ten.

(02:07:48):
Three receivers to the left, and once again Donahue is
back in at quarterback. You give a hard count and
they will send body's ns in motion the tight end
right to left across the formation. Donahue gonna handed off
back around the edge. He gets away from the initial
tackler down at the twenty five and spun down at
the twenty three and no gain on the play for
Shradel who had been brought into the game, and it

(02:08:11):
will be a loss of one to the twenty four
yard line. Brings up fourth and a bout four or
here for roau Claire and Donahue comes out and back
into the game comes Rubydoo. So the Blue Doves will
go for it once again here on fourth down with
seven fifty to go in the third quarter and Stout
up twenty to ten twenty eight to that. Excuse me,

(02:08:34):
Stout defense trying to be exactly that they have given
up the one conversion on fourth down out of three
attempts here for the Blue goal. Stradl is the running
back off to the left of Rubidoo. They need the
twenty for a first sound ball the twenty four Rubedo's
got a good pocket, throws it over the middle of
two complaints. Oh he had a man wide opening Ton
Sager and just made a back row back room the

(02:08:54):
Rubydoo mass the fingertips of ton Sager. It was the
right play, good execution, just a bad throw. Everything was
run correctly. The throw wasn't good. And now the Blue
Devils take over and throwing twenty four yard line. So
both teams are turned over on downs on their first
drive on the second half, and South maintains the twenty

(02:09:15):
eight to ten league and once again they escape a
good movement there from the Blue Goals HadAM Owen in
the shotgun. Now at his own twenty four yard line,
three receivers out to the left side. Mowen looks up
the entire way, throws it to Nelson, who is lined
up as a receiver, and there'll be flags on the
play as he goes out of bounds. This will be
holding out on the edge. It's like they're gonna call

(02:09:36):
this one. Gates happening, Nelson, and so it's happening. It's
called for a hole. This is coming back. I think
the hold was a couple of yards downfield, so you're
looking at first in like six seventeen eighteen somewhere in there.
I think that's what the officials are discussing right now.
It was a seven yard gain on the play. The

(02:09:59):
referees are talking about it here as to how they,
I think, want to assess this as to whether it
was a downfield hold or not. Holy off, So it
was the Zulka called for it, not Cade tapping. But
they'll mark off ten yards from about let's say the

(02:10:20):
twenty eight, So you're looking at first in sixteen or so.
It was downfield a few yards, so that holds. So
they'll moving back to the eighteen yard line, So first
and sixteen here for stout. After the holding penalty, I'll
send one receiver left, three to the right animal in
an empty backfield, and they've got twenty still waiting for
the play clock to start. Now it starts, so they

(02:10:41):
could not take the snap. Three receivers right again on
the far hash. Mark is Mowen in the shotgun and
takes the snap rolls right pressure coming throws it right
side incomplete and there's a hand on the back McCabe Devorak.
The field judge saw it and he got a little
bit of a turn there, and there's going to be
a pass interference call and Stown will have an automatic
first and ten coming up. Devorak just got turned a

(02:11:05):
little bit. Hadn't the arm wrapped around him, it would
not have been a very long gain, probably only been
about a five yard gain out across the twenty yard line.
But Devorak put himself in a good position. And I
think they've forgotten who it was who committed the penalty,
and so the officials are trying to come up with
a number here before they report it, and I think
they've literally forgotten who it was who made the contact.

(02:11:28):
We heard something too, maybe it was land in Weslow
that they're giving it to here. On the penalty it
is a spot foul because it was under fifteen yards,
so the spot foul brings it up to the twenty
two yard line. Now it is first and ten though,
instead of first and sixteen, So that's the positive for Stout.

(02:11:50):
So just kind of moving backwards and forwards and now
just a first and ten from their own twenty two.
Here we go, three receivers left, one right here for Stout,
no one looking right. Pump snow goes out left side,
a screen set up for carls got it to the
twenty five gets tackled awkwardly over there on the far side.
Hope that he's okay. He's the punter for Stout as well.
Kind of got grabbed by the shoulder. I don't think

(02:12:11):
it was a horse caller, but it was a really
awkward tackle. Some screaming, I think out sideline. They get
up to the twenty five yard line. Second and seven
now after a three yard Carl stays in the game.
Here for sut he splits out wide to the right,
one receiver to the left, three to the right here
for Stout. On the far hash marks second and seven.

(02:12:32):
Mowen takes the snap. Five man rush. Mowen goes left.
This time it is up and incomplete. There's got to
be a flag on that play. How in the world
was that not a flag? Let see who got tackled
him again. It was in Gavin Gerber. It was Walter Davis,
a sophomore receiver from Chicago. Kind of grabbed on the
shoulder and taking down awkwardly before the ball got there.

(02:12:54):
And now he's limping to the sideline as DeVante Evans
comes back into the game. Here for Stout, so Evan's
back in at receiver. Three receivers go to the right,
one to the left. Here third and seven, there is
Adam Mohen in the shotgun. He needs to get to
the thirty two for a first sound ball to twenty
five on the far hash mark. Mowen awaits the snap,
takes it third and seven over the middle. He throws

(02:13:16):
incomplete no bost It bounced the round up at two
Blue goals and then it went and fell into the
arms of Tucker Hockinson up to the thirty nine yard line,
fourteen yard game of snow. The Ludoviso six fifteen left
to go here in the third sut lating twenty eight
to ten. Holy cow that hit off two Blue Gold
defenders before the ball finally fell right into the arms

(02:13:39):
of Hockinson in a beautiful catch. A concentration catch there
for Hockinson and the Blue Devils. We'll go with that
two back set in between Mowen and the shotgun. One
receiver left, one right, we'll head it to one of
those backs. That's Rawl Staff moving right, bounces off a
tackle there at the forty and up across the forty
five to the forty six yard before he is taken

(02:14:01):
down by Deshaun Seger the safety seven yard game. Here
for the freshman running back Rallstad. He has some nice
speed on that play. Second and three here for Stout
five thirty left to go here in the third quarter,
man moving out to the left side as Carter's a
zulkup here on the near side, he is Patrick Corkoran.

(02:14:26):
Two receivers set and again two backs back there as well.
One of them is Bower, the other Ralstadt. Now they'll
switch out Caleb tim is a tight end. He'll go
up on the line and now though sendiment of motion
that's raw sat out of the backfield. They looked to
pass to him and said, no one going to run
to the right side. He's got blockers. Initially, boy weren't
there to start, and then all of a sudden a
hole opened up and he runs to the forty nine
yard line of Eau Claire. However, there is a flag

(02:14:49):
on the play. This looks like it's in the area
of a legal formation. Ton everything was right about that,
but it is the legal formation. He said. Five men
in the backfield there. I thought they had everybody up
on the line, but maybe not. I guess is Zulka
was the guy who was off the line there on
the far side. And so they'll move him back five

(02:15:09):
yards second and eight now for Stout back at their
own forty one. So this has been a very slow
half in terms of moving the ball compared to what
we saw in the first half. Or it was pretty
much all offense. Five thirty apartment me five forty four
left to play here in the third quarter, and the
clock ticking down. A clock on your screens, a little

(02:15:30):
bit ahead, twenty eight to ten Stout second and eight
back to pass Mowen over the middle incomplete looking for Corkoran.
Another flag coming in and it looks like corkorand was
interfered with as he was trying to get open and
it was JP Walters store if who get him a
little bit of the business and this will be past interference,
I believe, And this will give Stout the ball up

(02:15:51):
at the forty five yard line of the blue goals
unless they call hold it either way, it's going to
be an automatic first out. It's called definitely on the
Blue Golds. Still looking for a number. It was Waltersdorf
number one, but officials have had a hard time communicating
some of those.

Speaker 12 (02:16:12):
What you do?

Speaker 3 (02:16:13):
They say, Sean Sager is the guy who interfered with them,
and it looked more like it was Walterstorff. Nonetheless, it
is a fourteen yard penalty. This will move up to
the forty five yard line. And again anything under fifteen
yards on pass interference's spot of the foul. Anything over
is just fifteen max basically on that foul in college football.

(02:16:34):
All right, So here we go, four point thirty three
remaining here in the third quarter, twenty eight to ten.
Stout and the Blue Devils now have it in Blue
Gold territory. Two receivers left too, right middle of the
hash marks for Adam owen I, no one sends a
man in motion. It's Corcoran right to left across the formation.
He is going to take it himself. Pardon me, that
is Luke Saidean rather who is going to run it

(02:16:54):
across the forty and up near the thirty eight yard line.
So Sadean into the game at quarterback. I don't think
Mowen is hurt. Just brings Sadeen in for a little
bit of a change of pace and now Mowen he's
still in there, but he's kind of lining up as
a receiver. And that's where we saw the gadget play
in the first half where Mowen got the ball from
Sideen on a little pitch back and then Mowen connected

(02:17:17):
with Caleb Tim for a touchdown. In that first half,
Mowen lines up as a receiver on the left side.
Sadean is the quarterback. Fifteen seconds on the play clock,
Caleb Tim the tight end offset left, two receivers right
two left Here for Stout, they send Corkoran in motion
and they will give it to him on the handoff
moving right. Got a hole thirty five and down to
the thirty two, being pushed up to the thirty one.
He's got the first down, a nice run there of

(02:17:38):
about eight yards and Patrick Corcoran getting it on the
end around. That's been the option for Stout when they
have been down in their running backs. They give the
ball to Patrick Corkran on those end a round plays
and he kind of fills in at that running back position,
or at least gives Stout some looks in the running
game that they may not have with that depleted running
back cord that they have at the moment. Eight to

(02:18:00):
ten Stout three twenty two left in the third quarter,
Blue Devils with it now, first and ten from the
Blue Gold thirty one yard line on the near hash
mark empty backfield. Again. Sadean running left, got a whole
thirty and he spun down up to the twenty seven
yard line, maybe the twenty six man. It is a
four yard keeper up to the twenty seven yard line

(02:18:22):
and Luke Sidean with a nice job running there. Poplar,
Wisconsin freshman quarterback, a guy that I think Coach Birmingham
pretty excited about. Up to the twenty seven yard line.
Second and six coming up here for Stout. Two receivers
left to right, tight end is Caleb tim offset left.
Sadeen back to pass. Now he's gonna run with it again.

(02:18:44):
Got a blocker in front of the twenty five lowers,
his shoulder rips it down to the twenty yard line
and that's a seven yard game and a first down
for the Blue Devils. A nice run there for Sadeen
As we go under two thirty left to play here
in the third quarter, twenty eight Stout with the lead
here on Oak Claire. Watch, Evan's gonna split out wide left.

(02:19:10):
You've got Corcoran and Hockinson over there as well in
the slots first and ten from the twenty. Mowen in
the shotgun. He's got Rawstad behind him in the pistol,
and he will fake the give. He will run it
himself right side. There's a big hole fifteen to ten
down the sideline of the five. He's pushed out of bounds.
Took a little bit of a late hit, but Korish

(02:19:31):
was kind of coming up and not trying to finish
the hit, and leanestis just let that go down to
the five yard line of fifteen yard scramble. It's first
and goal here, pushed out down to the five fifty
left to play here in this third quarter in Stout
leading twenty eight to ten on o Claire's we are
under two minutes left to play in the third. No
points scored for either team in the second half as

(02:19:53):
of yet, but Stout is knocking on the doorstep. This
will be Mowen under center here. He's got Ralstat as
his tailback at the five, hand off to ral Stout,
off tackle right to the five, trying to push the
pile down to the three, still moving forward down near
the two, and a good job there by the push

(02:20:15):
from behind by Luke Carzen was in there along with
the backup tight end and Frank verst Out Mason Frank
who was kind of rugby scrumm that one up to
the two yard line on the right hash Mark and
the Blue Devils now have second and goal from the
two yard line. Who second end goal from the two?
Fifty seven seconds remain here in this quarter. That clock

(02:20:39):
on your screen was a little bit ahead. I'll move
it back to fifty to forty nine forty eight. It's
pretty close. As Mowen goes under center again, Rall stab
the tailback one receiver as Evan's out to the left
and the fake Bowen rolling to his left. Frank the
tight end.

Speaker 12 (02:20:56):
Oh my goodness, what a catch, Maathon Frank, Wow, what.

Speaker 3 (02:21:05):
A catch, A one handed grab with that right hand
and he takes it into the end zone in the
Blue Devils lead thirty four to ten here on Eau
Claire with thirty five seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Mason frank with the touchdown. Reception is first of the
season and first of his career, and they'll hope for
many many more. Certainly the third tight end in the

(02:21:27):
list and two tight end touchdowns to day for the
Blue Devils. Lucool's extra point attempt is up and good
thirty five to ten stunt with the lead. Thirty five
seconds remain here in the third quarter. We'll take a break,
be back right after this here on the YAX Sports Network.

Speaker 17 (02:21:43):
This month at Colfax Chevrolet gets zero percent thirty six

This is UW Stout Football on Newstalk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (02:22:21):
Welcome back once again to Nona Nona Williams Stadium. Thirty
five seconds remain here in the third quarter in the
Blue Devils push it down field and score wore the
touchdown to make it thirty five to ten. And here
in the third what a catch from Mason Frank in
two yards. It wasn't quite an Odell Beckham style catch,
but at one hand agram grabs certainly reminds you of

(02:22:41):
some of those great receivers in the NFL. We can
just reach a hand out and grab it. That looked
like it was a bad pass from out of Bowen,
but Mason Frank bailed them out on a great reception
for a two yard touchdown. In the Blue Devils lead
by twenty five with thirty five seconds left in the
third quarter, and the Blue Golds are going to need
a miracle here in this fourth course. They could start
it off with a chewl return at the eleven yard

(02:23:03):
line between the numbers and the hash on the far side.
It's got a lane for a moment up to cross
the twenty five to the twenty eight where he's taken
down up for a moment. He had a lane right
up the gut, but he has taken down up twenty
eight here buying the Blue Devils. No One to Florak
and others ran on the south thirty seconds left to play.
No one here here in this third quarter and get

(02:23:26):
our live stats updated so I can give you what
that drive summary look like. There's a touchdown drive that
lasted six minutes and fifty nine seconds, fifteen plays, seventy
six yards. The Frank touchdown caps it off and as
the Blue Golds are back out on offense and they
need a lot of things to go right here for

(02:23:48):
the last fifteen minutes and thirty seconds of this game,
Stole gonna bring the pressure, swing it out left side,
catch may but the tackle made right away five Brooks
Brewer on no one stands out of the backfield one
yard gain, no fact, it's a law or it's a
no gainer. At the twenty eight yard line. Stout brought
the pressure and Brooks Brewer made the tackle. Brewer a
little bit suspect getting up as it looks like they

(02:24:09):
want to bring Odd into the game here for Stout. Yeah,
Brewer was definitely lame coming up from that play, and
the officials didn't recognize that. Now they'll finally stop the clock.
He went down because he was hurt, was Brewer. And
they want to bring Jackson Odd into this game, and
they will do that. Brewer gonna run off under his
own power, but a little shaken up, bringing down the

(02:24:29):
six foot four to two hundred pound Nolan stands here
on the near side, and so Blue Golds will come
to the line. I believe the clock's gonna run here
and this might be the end of the quarter. So yeah,
that is the case. End of the quarter. Third quarter
is over and it's a thirty five to ten lead
for Stout and we'll go to the fourth quarter here

(02:24:51):
for the Blue Devils, says they lead it big, and
the Blue Golds are gonna need a lot in this
fourth quarter to try to win the war on ninety
four for the first time in a decade. We'll see
if they can. We'll take a break, come back right
after this with the fourth quarter here at the YAX
Sports Network.

Speaker 33 (02:25:04):
So you were waiting until the weather got warm to
install a new roof now here where you are into

unemployed neighbor. He's gonna save you some money.

Speaker 1 (02:25:14):
Oh golly, his estimates coming in fifty bucks.

Speaker 1 (02:25:38):
This is UW. Stout Football on Newstalk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (02:25:45):
Welcome back in here to Donna, no knowing I'm sitting
in there, jumping around here at grand stand, here at
Monomnie is the Blue Doubles sleep thirty five to ten
over the Bogwolves here in the war on ninety four
win today for Stout, they staying in first place into
WIE with three games to play Lacrosse at Oshcott, now
home against lacrosse at Oshcosh and then home against the Plattfel.

(02:26:07):
Three really tough games in the season. But you wouldn't
want it any other way in the yac I suppose
as it is a second and ten coming up with
the Blue Golds to start this fourth quarter, as we
see Rubydou over the middle, it's incomplete, unable to come
up with it. As Franco Williams that all thrown kind
of down near his knees ankles, and now Williams is
hurt on the play as well. Seen a number of
drop passes. That another one of them, but was a

(02:26:29):
harder one for him to come up with. Rubidou's pass
not on the not right on the money, He's still
a good throw and now it looks like Williams being
stretched out, which would make you think it's a cramp.
But hopefully that's all it is. Brooks Brewer is ready
to come back in the game as well. For Stout,
Jackson not did a nice job there filling in when
Brewer had to come out for an injury right at

(02:26:50):
the end of the quarter. So it's gonna be third
and ten at their own twenty eight yard line here
four ou Claire down thirty five to ten to Stout
and just have not had that energy since early in
this game. For the Blue Goals, they've had some opportunities.
They got turned away twice in a row on fourth
down in the first half and that kind of some
went downfield, especially that Patrick Corkoran ninety yard touchdown reception

(02:27:12):
they made a twenty one to seven That was the
one that kind of I think it was all almost
felt like a back back breaker a bit for the
Blue Goals in that first half and just have not
really been able to recover since third and ten from
their own twenty eight yard line. School goes in motion
left or right back to passes Rubidu. He steps up,
look in the pass, he gets hit as he throws.
It's incomplete. Dufton Goodman steps in front of a receiver

(02:27:33):
there at Todd Seger and de flexing away. It's fourth
and ten. There's a punt unit coming out. I think
you almost have to here at this point on the field.
You're down by twenty five and that twenty five is
four scores right now, and they're gonna have to punt.
I don't think there's really any other option, and correct
me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the
first pun of the game for either team. If I

(02:27:55):
remember correctly, Stout hasn't punted, and I don't think the
Blue Golds have as well. So this is a How
about that first punt of the game coming at fourteen
fifty left in the fourth quarter. The punter is Brandon
Fisher standing at his own thirteen. Not a great snap,
but he gets it away in time. Nice wobbling spiral here.
It'll be grabbed by Williams for Stout at the Blue
Devil thirty four yard thirty eight yard punt in the end,

(02:28:20):
and Stout will take it at their own thirty four
yard line and they will try to put this game
away with a nice long drive and a touchdown. Probably
would do it at this point with fourteen forty five,
I've brought me fifty five rather than call it's fourteen
forty five. Someone when they did the engineering of the

(02:28:41):
stadium decided to put a big pole right up where
we look at the scoreboard at the end of our
right which holds up the net that stops the field
goal kicks from going into the road. Right where I
like to look is here's a handoff on an end,
a round to Corcoran on the right side, gets to
the thirty five, spins down to the thirty seven three
yard gain on first down on the end, a round

(02:29:02):
play for Patrick Corkran. Right now, you just want everybody
to stay healthy, as Corkoran is a little bit slow
to get up, but he's fine. Second and seven when
we're on the thirty seven yard line on the far
hash mark right to left ear in the fourth quarter
for UW. Stout, dressed in the all blue here today
with the white helmets. The gold's in the blue pants
out lined and trimmed in gold, with the blue helmets

(02:29:22):
trimmed in gold as well. Receivers to the right one
I part me two out to the left here for Stout.
It is Luke Sadean into the game here at quarterback.
Mowen is one of the receivers out to the right
and Sadean will pitch it to him again. Mowen looking
to pass. He's looking downfield for Hockkinson, who's got it
down to any at the thirty eight yard line of
Eau Claire. A twenty five yard game for the Blue Devils,

(02:29:47):
and there's that gadget play similar to what we saw
that scored a touchdown for Caleb Kim in the first half.
Sadean in at quarterback and he just pitches it to Mowing.
And there's a little wrinkle that the Blue Devils have
added this week that's looking awfully good. Something they'll be
able to use next week against Lacrosse, I am sure.
On Military Appreciation Day Armed Forces Day here at Williams Stadium.

(02:30:08):
Pistol formation from Owen first and ten at the Oaklair
thirty eight yard line Stout leads thirty five to ten.
Handoff will go up the gut to Ralstad and there
was no hole as he was trying to find some space.
Taken down immediately on the play by Porter Mahelich, the
freshman lineman who was into the game here for the
Blue Golds. He's in there along with Carson Clark up

(02:30:29):
fronts and a few other newcomers, I mean McGovern in
there as well. I think you have one other newcomer
to the defensive line, Tyson wink is in there as well.
So it's all kind of second team guys on the
defensive line right here for the Blue Golds. So the
first team is in for Stout thirty five to ten.

(02:30:50):
They lead sent a man of motion that is Patrick Corkran,
and the handoff will go to Ralstad right side. He's
got a big hole up the middle and he gets
across the thirty five before he's shoe string attack by
Jack Sheltrop at the thirty three yard line. A seven
yard gain on the play and that brings up third
and manageable third about five here for Stout. And now
the first line of defence back into the game for

(02:31:11):
the Blue Goals. And there was a substitution for Stout,
so they have to let O clear sub as well.
Twenty seconds on the playclock. They want to run this quickly.
Nelson goes in motion out of the backfield off to
the right side. Three receivers left now two out to
the right with Nelson as well as Evans hard count
for mowing. They look to the sideline with ten on
the playlock two oh seven and the clock ticking down left.

(02:31:32):
Here in the fourth quarter, he's got five on the
playlock four three. He will take the snap, mowing back
to pass. There comes the pressure going to roll right,
looking down fielders. Nobody open throws this one away and
he was out of the pocket and got to pass
the line of scrimmage. No grounding and this could be
Luke cool time onto attempt. What could be one of
those records setting field goals here for Stout. See if

(02:31:56):
they want to go that router, if they want to
try to convert it ball into thirty three, this would
be a fifth the yard attempt. If Stout decides to
go that route, we're gonna look like they're gonna keep
the offense out there. He must have burned his great
ship freshman and one receiver out to the right here
for Evans for Stout ten seconds on the blakelock. They're

(02:32:17):
going for it fourth and five, need the twenty eight
yard line for a first down. Adam Owen is the
quarterback again, three with two and they're gonna call time out,
and Stout did not like the lineup, and I think
just a little indecisive for what they wanted to do
here in the game. So they'll take time out. We'll
stay here. Kind of where he's at from a record standpoint,

(02:32:43):
He's done a great job this season. A special teams
player in the Week in the W I a C
twice and one of those guys who's just a real
solid special teamer. And I think back to guys like
Clark Ridell and others who have been really good punk
and really good kickers for the Stout team, and it
just seems like he kind of continues that tradition. Happy

(02:33:05):
homecoming I hear this season, But they may bring him
out here after the timeout. I think just some indecisiveness,
if you will. I hear from the Blue Devils as
to what they wanted to do before that kickoff. So
the timeout taken and Stout leading thirty five to ten

(02:33:26):
with eleven forty five for fifty five. Excuse me left
to play in this fourth quarterball at the thirty three
and they will bring the offense back out. And so
it is the Blue Devils coming back on on offense,
trying to convert a fourth and five. Guts he played
here for the Blue Devils. Mowen sends them an emotion.

(02:33:48):
It's Nelson. Looks like they kept the same play in
to receivers. Now to the right, three to left, empty
backfield for mon he needs a twenty eight. Here comes
the pressure, mowing back to pass, little jump route up
for Corkrand down. Blue Devils, thirty three yard touchdown pass
from Adam Owen to Patrick Corkran and they not only
convert on fourth down, but they throw a touchdown pass.

(02:34:10):
It's forty one to ten Blue Devils as Stout is
on the way to their ninth straight War On ninety
four trophy win. Wow cool on to attempt the extra
point and it is all smiles here on the grand

(02:34:31):
stand for the Blue Devils faithful who have come out
to today's game. Snap spot on the extra point, kick
us up and the kick is good and it's a
forty two to ten lead for South. Now with eleven
forty nine left to play in the contest, will take
a break. We'll come back right after this. Here on
the YX Sports Network.

Speaker 1 (02:35:24):
This is UW stout Football on Newstalk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (02:35:31):
Welcome back in once again, here to ew Stown and
a down and Oda Williams Stadium. As Patrick Corkran gets
his second touchdown or reception of this game. And now
Corkoran is gonna move up and have a good chance
I think of being the offensive player of the Week
in the Yak even though he only has three receptions,
he's having a Randy Moss on Thanksgiving against the Cowboys.
Kind of day here as he has three receptions for

(02:35:53):
one hundred and thirty one yards and three touchdowns for
the Stout receiver, and he is quickly putting his stamp
on this Week seven matchup here in the Wiacluke Cool
with the run up kick comes to the near side, showle,
We'll take this and it will back go over his
head into the end zone and it will be brought
out to the twenty five yard line. This is where

(02:36:14):
they might get a little bit hippy out here. You
gotta watch out for that down the stretch to forty
two to ten. Stout with the lead one a note
here with Luke Cool, he has now hit the two
hundred and fifty point mark in his career with his
six extra points today. Two hundred and fifty points in
his career that is a Stout record, one hundred and
sixteen extra points in his career that is a Stout record,

(02:36:36):
and seventeen field goals this season is the most field
goals in a season in Stout history as well. Hasn't
kicked a field goal today yet, but those are where
his numbers sit at the moment. Here with now eleven
minutes in change left to play eleven forty nine left
to play here in this half, in this ballgame, rather
out to Garside from Rubidou on the near side line,
He'll run it up the sideline across the thirty five

(02:36:57):
near the forty yard line. I'll mark him out right
at the already a fifteen yard game. Therefore, Garside on
the first down he has sponger hits him out of bounds.
A couple of new guys into the game here. Cooper
Diedrich was the man actually to hit him out of bounds.
Dedrick a junior from Athens, his sister one of the
all time leading scorers in women's basketball history. Here for
Stout Kincaid, and he's playing safety today. He's a basketball player.

(02:37:21):
He's coming in and learned that safety position. He has
a picked six this season for Stout as well. Jackson
Odd is also into the game as back to pass
once again goes Ruby, who looks out of the backfield
left side. Oh, it's almost intercepted by Money guys, and
they had Garside had a chance over the middle Money
KUIs and the linebacker read it, went up and had
to high point the ball and didn't quite high point it,

(02:37:41):
got his hands up but could not come away with
the pick. Money Kaisen does have one interception this season,
as the boot Devils have won on the game as
well for thirteen as a team on the year, I
must send two receivers left here the Blue Golds at
the tight formation. Garside in the slot to the left
right up the line along with Williams wide left and

(02:38:02):
ton Sager out wide right. Ruby doo back to pass,
looks left, throws it out that way, catch may at
the forty one and then pushed out of bounds. His
stands kind of bobbled it and that took him a
second to turn. The corner gets to the stout forty
six for a gain of six and it is now
third and about four here for the Blue Golds at

(02:38:23):
eleven oh five and o'clock running left to play here
in the fourth quarter stout forty two oh Claire ten,
they need the fifty yard line. Here do the Blue
Golds for a first down on the far hash mark.
This is Ruby Douo in the shotgun with one receiver
left and two to the right. Again another tight formation.
Garci goes in motion out wide right back to pass
goes Ruby, who looks left the entire way, throws it
that way. Catch made at the Stout forty five and

(02:38:45):
spun down about the forty two yard line goes ton Sager.
That is enough for a first down twelve yards on
the pass, and he'll get it to the forty two
of Stout. He'll move the chains forty two to ten
Stout with the lead and the clock again ticking down.
Left to play here in this game. Back to pass Garside,
What a deflection there? Almost gets to it then does

(02:39:07):
Daniel Walker got a paw on that ball that popped
up into the air going backwards, and Walker ended up
being about two three four yards away from that when
it fell to the turf back at the Oa Claire
forty five yard line. Foger was close to it as well,
but give Walker a lot of credit for that deflection.
Second and ten up at the Stout forty two yard line.
Clock stops on the incompletion ten twenty two left to

(02:39:29):
play here in the fourth quarter Stout forty two Oa
Claire ten, Second and ten from the Stout forty two
yard line. One receiver left to right against same formation
here for the Blue Golds Rubiduo back to pass, looks
over the middle, still looking now throws over the middle
a little bit high. It's bobbled in complete. Williams trying
to bring it in with one hand, and Murphy put
a little hit on him there to make sure he
did not come down with the ball incomplete. Third and ten.

(02:39:52):
The initial deflection, I thought there was a chance for
a stout interception. Not the case. The Blue Golds now
just trying to take some shots down big here by
thirty two points ten sixteen to go here in the fourth,
third and ten from the south forty two need the
thirty two two receivers right, one left far hash Mark

(02:40:14):
Rubduo back to pass, throws it out of the backfield,
caught over there on the left side and stepping out
of bounds with Schradel across the forty to the thirty
eight yard lines. So stepp out of bounds back at
the thirty eight only forty yards. It's fourth and six,
and this is pretty much it for the Blue Goals.
It's still a monumental hill to climb, no doubt about that.
But fourth and six they've got to make this conversion.

(02:40:34):
If not, you can pretty much show it up here
today from Stout Blue Devils have been good all season
and you know you're four and two, you got you
got a good chance you're gonna go to five and
two today. And there's a lot of guys in this
team are probably shaking their head saying we could be
seven to zer right now. Probably should have been Carol,
should have be river Falls last week, but should it
could have winn Is Rubidu back to pass on fourth

(02:40:54):
and six, goes deep to gar side, it is up
and complete it inside the ten up on Gavin Goodman.
Goodman thought he had a chance at the interception, Garcide
cut in front of him. They made a great catch
down to the nine yard line. What a play. So
they convert the fourth and six and get inside the
ten first in goal. Here for the Blue Golds, Rubyoo

(02:41:15):
two receivers left, one right. There's a reason why Garcide
is such a good receiver and has those stats. Here's
a stradled counterplay to the five on the run right
up the middle and he'll get four on first down,
second and goal down from the five yard line. As
Nick Mos checks it in the game, first out up
on the defensive line, they want to run quickly. Here
does eau Claire. With nine to two left to play,

(02:41:37):
the clock ticking down, under nine minutes left, they throw
left side at is up incomplete. Great job there by Goodman.
Oh no, they throw a flag. What in the world,
how do you throw a flag on that play? Goodman
ten Seger was just running a slant and Goodman just
reached an arm out deflected the ball. I think they're
gonna say that he grabbed him from behind. Terrible fifty five.

(02:42:02):
Probably good thing. The folks in front of us are
in officials. But nonetheless, eight to fifty five left to
play and should have been an incompletion. It's going to
be pass interference and they'll place this ball at the
two yard line in college football, and so it'll be
set first and goal rather from the two. Here for
the Blue goals forty two to ten stout with the
lead and eight fifty five left to play. Bergman is

(02:42:24):
the tailback in the I formation. Fitzgerald is the fullback
in that formation. Garside the only receiver out wide left
Rebidoo under center. He will give it up the middle
right side, nothing doing two yard loss for Bergmann. That
play has not worked all day, as Fonger came in
late the initial hit, came in for Stout and Kale

(02:42:46):
Lamb who's now in the game at linebacker and made
the tackle two yard loss on the play, second and
goal from the four. Here for the Blue goals eight
thirty left to go and Stout leading Big forty two
to ten. Here on eau Claire stacked up receivers on
the line whistles and I think the Blue Golds are

(02:43:09):
taking a timeout. Blue Gold timeout or no partment the Devils. Rather,
Devils are taking a timeout. That's their second of the half,
so only have one remating up by.

Speaker 11 (02:43:17):
Thirty two bills distributing Blue.

Speaker 3 (02:43:21):
Devils in this game. Let's give you a quick recap
of the stats. Stout with four hundred and eighty two
yards a total offense ay average about over one hundred
yards under that three hundred and sixty five yards of
offense per game. They have forty two today and they
have three hundred and forty three of those through the air.
Anam Mowen has a good shot at being and Corkoran

(02:43:42):
have good shots of being the offensive player of the
week in the yak as Mohen is twenty four of
thirty for three hundred and forty three yards five touchdowns.
He's also rushed for thirty two yards. Ben Tolkienen has
a receiving or at partment a rushing touchdown. Patrick Corkoran
with three receiving touchdowns on one hundred and thirty one yards.
Caleb him has one of those receptions and Mason Frank
has the other for a touchdown as well. So that's

(02:44:04):
where Stout sits in terms of their offense here today,
the rushing attack has produced one hundred and thirty nine
yards for Stout just twenty three for EA Claire. Here today,
Bergman is the tailback out of the time out taken
by Stout's second and goal from the Stout four yard
line for the Blue Golds, two receivers left Rubydoo rolling
to his left looking he'll launch at back corner of
the end zone. That's up and it's bobble almost intercepted,

(02:44:25):
almost intercepted in the back corner of the end zone.
They were looking for Williams and that was Cooper Diedrich
who almost came down with this second interception of the season.
Eight eighteen left to go here in the fourth quarter,
and it's now third and goal for ea Claire from
the Stout fourth and look the Blue Golds, I think
know the running on the wall, but they're trying to

(02:44:46):
save a little bit of pride here for Stout. Defensively,
they're trying to save that pride. They've held o'claire to
no points in the second half and trying to keep
it that way. With the third and goal from the four,
rubydu back to Passoks over the middle. Now looks left,
gonna scramble with it, groove into the right, throws it
back across his body and it's incomplete Diedrich again the
closest one there no white jersey really in the vicinity

(02:45:08):
of that one. And now it's fourth and goal from
the four yard line, and they'll go for it here obviously,
and Stout is I should say, Oh Claire is rather
in a world to hurt. They need some way to
get this in and I think you know when they
went close to the goal line, running the ball is
not worked. This is going to be a pass on
three receivers left, one right on the near hash. Mark

(02:45:28):
Bergmann is just off to the right set of Rubydoo
As they move left to right on your radio dial
with eight to fourteen to go. Here in the fourth
rubiduo back to pass slant route incomplete. Great job by
Goodman right there. This time there are no flags and
they turn them over near the goal line as Gavin
Goodman breaks up the pass on the slant route, and
it's Stout first and ten from their own four yard line.

(02:45:50):
And another fourth down that goes awry here for the
little goals. And that is now I believe two of
seven on fourth down if I'm doing the math right.
I don't think it's popped into our system yet. So yeah,
two of seven are the Blue goals on fourth down
in this game. Stout has done a great job turning

(02:46:14):
over Eau Claire on downs in this contest. Eight eleven
left to go, fourth quarter, Stout backed up on their
own end zone. Adamoan's still out a quarterback here forty
two to ten Stout pistol formation with Ralstad behind him,
and he will give it to Ralstad up the gut
and I'll get a few yards up across the five
to about the eight yard line. That'll be a four

(02:46:35):
yard gain on the play. Yeah. He'll bring up second
and six here for the Blue Devils after a four
yard scamper for Ralstad right up the gut man. There'll
be a few more of those, I'd imagine, and was
Tew backed up. You're not surprised that Anamoan's still in
there to run the quarterback position, but I doubt that
they'll make him run or do anything like that. They'll

(02:46:57):
try to protect him as best as possible. Under minutes
off to place Stout leading forty two to ten. At
a moment in the shotgun, one receiver left, one right,
and he will give it to Ralstad again, following blockers right,
trying to bounce it out right side grab by the jersey.
There is a flag on the play back in the
area of holding starting to Andrew David for a hold

(02:47:18):
back at the line. It is only a one yard
game for Ralstat around the edge. So the Bluegolds may
decline this one and decide to go a third and
five instead of second and would end up being about
second and ten because it'll be half the distance of
the goal. So they're asking ericson what he wants to
do here, Rob Rickson again in just his second season,

(02:47:42):
they will decline the penalty here. The penalty was on
Andrew David, but Rob Rickson is in his second season,
four and twelve on the season or on his career
so far, just the four wins for the Blue Golds
so far. Just trying to take this program back to
some prominence. And again we you know you've chronicled it
from the area, you kind of know what the Blue
Golds program has been through the course. Had Todd Glazier

(02:48:05):
at the Helm did a pretty good job at once
Dan Schumacher came into the ad. They've went through a
number of different coaches. Dan Larson did a great job,
went to coach at North Dakota State, and then ever
since then it's spent kind of a road uphill and
Ericson is doing a good job trying to get this
program back to prominence. Is Mowen is going to scramble
with this and run. He will reach out the ball
and he is down at the really close to the

(02:48:25):
first down marker. I think he's gonna be a yard
short on the quarterback scramble up to the thirteen yard line.
They did decline the penalty, as you heard, So it's
only a four yard game fourth and one, and Soout's
gonna punt this one away. So Stout not gonna try
to convert the fourth down back at their own thirteen
yard line. I think they've got a chance to do it,
but it's just not a not a smart play by

(02:48:46):
any means, and so Ben Carls is on to attempt
the punt. Carl's had a really rough first week and
his average is hurt, but since then he's up this
average of thirty yards per punt. He's a good for
usually about forty yards per punt, but some bad punts
the first week against Caro have that average and not
good shape. Good spiraler here that will be fair caught
at the blue gold forty seven yard line. Very nice

(02:49:08):
kick there as well, an exactly a forty yard punt
for Ben Carls as Garsign fair catches it at his
own forty seven sown with four hundred and ninety one
yards of offense. So Claire with three hundred and thirty
two here this afternoon. Rubydoo is twenty five of forty
in this game, with one touchdown, one interception, two hundred

(02:49:29):
and seventy six yards, passing Donahue two of two for
thirty three yards as well. Leading receiver Garside with one
hundred and thirty three. The next leading receiver is Shool
with fifty three yards and a touchdown. This afternoon, six
twenty two left to play fourth quarter, Blue Golds have
the ball back but Stout up forty two to ten
here on Old Claire. It looked like a false start.

(02:49:50):
Wasn't called Ruby who throws it left side right over
the outstretched hands of the linebacker and Williamson and then
it's bobbled and incomplete. Williams couldn't hold onto the ball again.
Franco Williams has had a hard time holding onto the
ball this afternoon. And it's second and ten and once again,
I mean those throws from Ruby wo are just missing
the linebacker's outstretched fingers. Stout staying back with their linebackers

(02:50:14):
a bit, and those guys are chomping at the bit
to get an interception, sitting back a little bit in zone.
And boy, they've had a couple of chances. Mandy Kuisen's
had a couple chances that time. Williamson had a shot
second and ten from their own forty seven Rubu back
to pass, got pressure, throws it left side up and
caught at the fifty and still on his feet to
the Stout forty six for about a seven yard game

(02:50:36):
goes Land and ton Seger. Gavin Goodman hit him initially
and then he just kind of thought through the tackle
and got about four extra yards. Third and three here
four ou Claire Stout got a quick chance to sub
two receivers right, two left or one left rather on
the far hash third and three, Rubyu back to pass.
There comes a pressure from Stout not going to get
home now Murphy gets there. It's thrown out of the

(02:50:57):
backfield and caught by Schradl left side, down the sideline,
across the forty, across the thirty five as he is
finally taken down by Nate Rewall, but not before he
gets to the thirty four yard line on a gain
of twelve. Stout almost got home. Murphy almost got home
on the blitz. Murphy thought he was held on the
play no call. First and ten from the south thirty
four yard line. Stout did not get everybody off the field.

(02:51:20):
Quick pass left side. This will be a gain of
about eight. But they've got a chance to decline this
as Stout did not have everybody off the field. Two flags.
I think they're both for too many men on the
field here on the near sideline, got on the play
five nineteen to go. Here in the fourth Sout forty
two oak Claire ten. First and ten play got eight yards.

(02:51:44):
But now it's a matter of whether Oaklaire wants to
take the penalty or just take the catch. I think
they're declining this and they're going to take the catch.
Illegal substitution is the call. Too many men on the
field there for Stout trying to get that last defender off.
I think Stout thought that there was a sub from
eau Claire and that they should have been allowed more
time to sub, and I think Birmingham not happy about

(02:52:05):
that from the officials, but the officials seem to be
alright with it. So second and two here from the
Stout twenty six yard line on the far hash mark.
We tick under five minutes left to play. Stout up
forty two to ten. This goes Ruby. Ruby. Douo gets
hit as he throw. Watching this one for guarside. It's
up and it is incomplete back of the end zone.

(02:52:25):
Garcide took a little bit of contact from Cy Smith,
who's into the game at cornerback. The freshman. No call
on the play, and it's going to be third and
three here, third and two rather here for the Blue
Golds at the stout twenty six third down Google four
fifty four remaining guys here in the contest.

Speaker 31 (02:52:48):
Smart yeah you said.

Speaker 3 (02:52:51):
Two receivers move out right, one left as Ruby Dooo
tries to convert this third down, four fifty four left
to play. Stop Rubydoo back to pass, looks left the
entire way, throws catch, made first down yardage across the
twenty up to the eighteen yard line. Ton sakers kind
of falling backwards. LA mark them down officially at the
nineteen yard line, seven yard game. First down here, Blue

(02:53:12):
Golds at Blue Golds. I added one to it. They're
two of six on fourth down here today, and they're
five of thirteen on third down. Stouts only faced eight
third downs today, they've converted five of them this afternoon.
One receiver left, two right, Rubyduo throws it right side
toward his tight end incomplete. Was getting pressure up the
middle from Johnny Schmidt looking for stands. Throws it in complete.

(02:53:33):
Second and ten Blue Devils are on the way here
for twenty seven left to play forty two to ten
sound leads. We'll have coach Birmingham on our postgame show.
We'll keep it here at the end of the broadcast
as well. One of the great traditions again is a
winning team going down and getting that I ninety four trophy,

(02:53:54):
and we will bring that to you both on the
radio and on the y X Sports Network here today
as well. Three receivers out to the right, nobody left
for Rubiduo. There comes a pressure from south, throw it
over the middle, catch by guard side at the fifteen
to the ten part of the corner, looking for the
goal line. He gets taken down right at the one
yard line. He got hit awkwardly and spun down awkwardly
as well. Seems to be okay though it's an eighteen

(02:54:14):
yard gain and it is first in goal for the
Blue Golds at the stout one yard line. Blue Devils
have a lot of their second stringers in here on defense.
Not everybody. Jackson Mac gonna check in here for walker
Yral Jackson Mac, the big six three and five pounds
five ten senior who will fill up the middle of

(02:54:36):
that line. Rubydoo goes under center. You've got Shradel as
a tailback, and they'll send two tight ends to the
right now two receivers out to the right as well.
Rubydoo hands it off and Shradl is in for the
score right up the gut. Three thirty seven rains here
in the fourth quarter in the Blue Golds game for
the score forty two to sixteen. Stout with the lead

(02:54:58):
now and the Blue Devil's inconsequential touchdown here and they'll
get the ball back and just try to run out
the clock a bit as counter. Rada is on to
attempt the extra point nineteen of twenty on the season,
an extra points straight. Fitzgerald is the holder and Ben
Tigland is the long snapper. Three thirty seven left to

(02:55:20):
play and Stout leading forty two to sixteen. Extra point
is up and good here for the Bluegoles forty two
to seventeen. Blue Devils with the lead, good chance to
take a break. We'll come back with the final three
thirty seven right after this here on the YAX Sports Network.

Speaker 2 (02:55:34):
Do you drive down the road wishing you'd break an
axle on your trailer just so you have an excuse
to get a new one. Ay, that's dangerous, be quick,
wishing get to good Rich Trailer Sales, Wisconsin's premier trailer dealership.
Here's a massive selection of toy dollers, cargo dump equipment,
and utility trailers waiting.

This is UW stout football on Newstalk wm EQ.

Speaker 3 (02:56:14):
Welcome back in here to Dona Nona Williams Stadium. It
is the Blue Devils leading forty two to seventeen aut
oh Claire with three thirty seven left. Some other interesting
scores here in the WIA seed today Platfell leading seventeen
to ten against Whitewater with two forty eight left to play.
Whitewater has the ball that's their own about a midfield

(02:56:35):
with two forty eight left to go. Boy, Whitewater loses
that game, There's gonna be a lot of questions. Is
this is going to go into the end zone here
and down for a touchback? Is Patrick Corkan just lets
it fly over his head and the Blue Devils will
take it out to the twenty five yard line. So
we'll see what ends up happening here in that game
for Plattville and Whitewater. It looks like Whitewater has a

(02:56:59):
first down at the Blackfield thirty seven yard line, which
just around two minutes left to play. Keep our eye
on that river falls now trailing Lacrosse twenty eight to
twenty four. Whitewater if they lose that game to Plattefield
goes to two and two in conference and their chances
to win the Wayac Conference get really really slimmed moving forward.

(02:57:20):
And Stout's probably going to be in a three way
tie at the end of the day, i'd imagine for
the top of the YAC. But we'll see how it
all works out here down the stretch. Backup quarterback Luke
Sdein is into the game here for Stout and White
pardon me, the Bluegolds rather are going to get to
some late substitution chance because Stout did not have all
eleven guys on the field. Tucker Howkinson did not realize

(02:57:42):
he was supposed to be part of that formation. So
they get a chance to sub and they did, and
the play clock was running down and Stunt was about
to get a delay of games, so they will burn
their final time out not to back up five yards
here as well. So Lacross leading twenty eight to twenty
four on River Falls, they have the ball. They are
at home against Falls today, six fifty two left to go.
In the fourth quarter of that game, Oshcosh won forty

(02:58:04):
two to seven over Stevens points. So Oshkosh will move
the two three and one in conference, and if Lacrosse
wins that game, you'd basically have Oshkosh stout and the
winner of Platteville versus Whitewater in a three way tie
for first in the WYAK going into the final three weeks.
If I've done the math correctly, thing that Lacrosse has

(02:58:26):
already had a loss there against the Revalls. So that's
how things set up. Sadean is in the pistol formation
as one receiver right, one left with three thirty seven reraining,
and the handoff will go to Ralstad trying to stay
in bounds. Now we'll cut it nice, patient run there
to the left side to get up to the twenty
nine yard line and a good gain of four yards
on first down taken down on the play and one

(02:58:49):
of the backup linebackers here in Matthew Market freshman from
Orland Park, Illinois. Making the stop here for the Blue Golds,
a four yard gain second and six, says Stout tries
to run some clock and melt this game away as
we're about to tick under three minutes left to play
here in the fourth quarter. Stout forty two, Oaklaire seventeen

(02:59:10):
Stell led this game twenty eight to ten at halftime.
They've added two touchdowns here in the second half. O
clear just the one that they just got on that
last drive. With a lot of the second teamers on
the field here for the Blue Devils, Sadeane has ralstab
behind him and the pistol hand it off, will bounce
it out left side. It's got some blockers you can't
get around the initial the final tackle though by Eli Rife,
who makes the tackle at the thirty one a two

(02:59:32):
yard game Satan bounds clock continues to run at the
thirty one yard line. It will be third and four
one first down here. I mean o'claire can stop it,
but they're just again too far down. I think to
stop the clock here as well, but they get a
first down here and basically Stout can kneel out the clock.
You do have the two minute timeout coming, and they
will have to take a snap before the two minute
time out. About a three second differential between game and

(02:59:56):
play clock, so that they're going to have to snap
this one ten nine to eight left on the plate
clock Sideine in the shotgun, two receivers right, one left.
They need the thirty five for a first down on
third and four. Takes a snap with three seconds on
the plate clock Sideine rolling to is right, looking down feelers,
nobody open. They'll try to go to ralstat incomplete. That
stops the clock right on two minutes two minutes, so

(03:00:16):
it is a stoppage of the clock, but it is
also the two minute timeout as well, so it ends
up not really mattering that that's an incompletion in that situation.
Fourth and fourth sounds likely going to punt this one away.
At the end of the two minute timeout, black Bill
has the ball back. It looks like they have turned
away Whitewater, and I'm trying to get an indication of

(03:00:38):
how many timeouts Whitewater has. I don't think they have any.
They had a fourth and nine at the Plattefill thirty
six yard line and Whitewater was unable to complete the pass.
And now Whitewater does have some timeouts to burn, so
we'll see if they end up getting this ball back
as Plattfill's trying to run out the clock. They're up
seventeen to ten on the Warhawks. Warhawks lost today. They

(03:01:01):
go to four and three and two and two in
conference and they are not used to that at all. Remember,
Stout has a tie break on Whitewater as well, so
South could probably use Whitewater to win that game. To
be perfectly honest with you, when all the standings shake out,
but I mean, there is an outside chance if Stout
you know, holds on to win this, which it looks
like they will, and then they you know, shock the

(03:01:23):
world against lacrosse and do the same thing against Oshkosh
the next week, that you could be lining up for
a platte build Stout for the conference championship the final
week of the season matchup, which is going to be
here at Williams Stadium. Gonna be a lot of fun,
that is for sure. Carls is back to punt here
out of the two minute timeout on fourth and four,
and he will get rid of this almost blocked wobbling spiral.

(03:01:44):
Garside calls for a fair catch makes it at his
own thirty four yard line, So nineteen plus seventeen equals
thirty six thirty six yard punt here four Stout and
for Ben Carl's and the thirty five is where they
will officially market and that is where Oa Claire will
take over for one of the final drives of this game.

(03:02:05):
One fifty four left to play. Oaklaiir has all three
time outs, but Stout leads forty two to seventeen here
over the Blue Bolts. Blue Golds have not won here
in Menominee since twenty eleven, and that streak will continue
today in the Blue Devils will go on to win
their ninth in a row in this rivalry series. Guarside

(03:02:26):
with the catch at the forty forty five to the
fifty yard line stays and oh he did step out
of bounds are going to say, as he was tackled
out there by another backup for the Blue Devils and
Andrew Binney, who made the stop out at the forty
eight yard line of Stout. But a big game there
about seventeen yards first down here for the Blue Golds
clock ticks. They said that he did stay in bounds.

(03:02:48):
One thirty five left to play. Throw it left side
catch made by the tight end here from Rubydoo going
to stands across the forty five to the forty two
yard line. Six yard game, left side tackle out there
by the Blue Devils Conor McGuire linebacker, second and about
four here from the Stout forty two Rubydoo back to pass,

(03:03:08):
looks over the middle, wants to launch this one another
deep slant route. This is the time. It's the tight
end in stands down inside the thirty and near the
twenty five. He will get to the twenty five seventeen
yard gain first down as Cy Smith made the tackle
and a whistle will wind the clock once they move
the chains. Yeah, we talked about that. One four, one
o three left to play. Ruby Doo pumps, looks he's

(03:03:29):
hit the sacked. Finally a sack for Stout today comes
late in the game when it comes from one of
the backup linemen here and Owen Christi the Shaanhai man
makes a tackle back at the thirty yard line and
they finally get a sack on Rubuduo. First sack of
the game for Stout. Yeah, forty four, forty three, forty
two left to play. Stout forty two Oh Claire seventeen

(03:03:51):
rubyduo back to pass, no pressure this time throw left side,
catch made, not the first down to the eighteen yard
line for Williams. It gets a good chunk of it
back though it'll be third and short coming up at
the eighteenth third. About three here for the Blue goals
and either fifteen for a first down. Twenty three, twenty two,
twenty one left to play rubydoo. Three receivers right, one
to the left, looks over the middle, continues to look

(03:04:13):
over the middle, throws it is upcot somehow over the
outstretched hands of Nate Williamson. First down. They'll stop the
clock to move the chains inside the five and now
they will haven't wound it yet. Eleven seconds and now
a whistle an a time out taken here by the
Blue goals. They want to put up another touchdown and
make this score look a little more respectable here when

(03:04:34):
people look back in the history books of the box
scores and see that as well, so they'll come up
with one or two more play calls here. They've got
three timeouts, not taking them. This out leads forty two
to seventeen. I'm sure that Clay Birmingham will not be
happy with the defense, even though it's the second and
third string guys, but it's a good learning experience for
those guys. And now you've got it all in front

(03:04:55):
of you. You've got three weeks of really tough games,
but if you win all three of them, you get
in the NCAA tournament, is basically what it winds up to,
and so a lot of drama. Next week for Armed
Forces Day, it'll be South versus Lacrosse. I'll be another
one o'clock start. I do believe we're gonna be carrying
that game on the radio as well. Don't quote me
on that, but I believe we're gonna try to do

(03:05:16):
that as another simulcast as well here too, So we're
looking forward to that, especially thanks as always to Dan Price,
our producer back in studio on the radio side, and
of course we'll be here on the YAK Sports Network
as well. But you got three games left, and two
of them are at home, and a definite chance for
Stout to make some noise in the world of D
three football and in the YAK as well. This makes

(03:05:39):
last week hurt even a little bit more, to be honest,
with you. I'm sure those players will be happy with
the way they played against their arrival here in Auclair today.
Rubyuo in the shotgun out of the time out. They
have two timeouts left, eleven seconds left to play. Ruby,
looking right the entire way, throws on a quick slant.
It is up and caught and it's a touchdown here
for Franco Williams. Franko Williams gets the touchdown receipt. Reception

(03:06:01):
is third of the season. With seven seconds remaining, forty
two to twenty three. Stout with the lead and it
will be an extra point attempt here for Connor Rade.
A little unfortunate there again. It's coming against the second
string defense fir Stout against the first string offense four
Oh Claire and a little bit of third string as

(03:06:22):
well in there for Stout. But still some learning opportunity
for some guys who you know, of course Birmingham wants
to play later on in their careers. Extra point is
up and good and it's a forty two to twenty
four lead here for the Blue Devils over Oh Claire.
Which is seven seconds left. We'll keep it here remaining.
Let's give you a quick score up day as well

(03:06:43):
in Oshkosh, winning against Stevens Point earlier. Today, Lacrosse has
the ball up twenty eight to twenty four on River
Falls with two thirty two left to play in that contest,
and Whitewater did get the ball back, but they are
back in their own territory twenty two yard line with
only nineteen seconds left in Plattville leading seventeen to ten

(03:07:05):
and Blattfill trying to pull off what Stout did a
couple of weeks ago against Whitewater and defeat the Almighty Warhawks.
And I'm sure Jimmy is gonna be celebrating down there
in Plattfill if the Pioneers hang on for the win,
and they look like they're in a pretty good position
to do so down in Plattfeld today. The heck of it,

(03:07:26):
I tell you what, it be a heck of a
thing if it came down to Stout and Plattfill. Lot's
got to happen for that to be the case. But
there is an outside chance of Stout, who's on a
run here the next couple of weeks for that to happen.
On side kick formation here for Rayda, so the on
side kick coming the hands team in for Stout and
he'll kind of chipkick this one fair catch called for

(03:07:47):
and Williams will make it his own. Thirty five and
a kneel down is coming up here for Stout. Caleb
tim pumped up coming over to the sideline as well,
and so one kneel down and that's gonna do it.
Seven seconds remain and the Blue Devils will win for
the ninth straight time against UWO player. And now you
got to go back a decade. You're looking back at
it the last time the Blue Golds won this rivalry.

(03:08:08):
There's a footage from wqowwau. I got the old gold uniforms,
not the yellow that you see on those uniforms they
have now, but the kind of that muted gold color
that you see. Also as Adam Owen comes in to
take the knee, and he will do so. There will
be no timeouts called by the Blue Golds, and there
will be handshakes before they go get the trophy, but

(03:08:28):
they're gonna be quick handshakes. I think Patrick Corkoran wants
to show up his speed down to the end zone.
We will show you the trophy celebration here. Will make
sure we cueue that up with our video crew in
just a moment forty twenty fourst Out with the win
here against the Blue Goals. And I don't know if
I've ever seen somebody run down in the handshake mine

(03:08:48):
more quickly than Patrick Corkran. I mean, this kid had
three touchdown receptions today. Was a jack of all trades
and he played awfully well and he will be very
deserving to go down and grab that trophy down in
the north end zone to our left here at Menominee
and at Williams Stadium. So Stout wins their ninth in
a row against the Blue Golds. We will have a

(03:09:10):
full postgame show for you coming up, but first let's
watch and listen in to the celebration here for Stout's
squad and is a will head down to the north
end zone in just a moment after they handshake a
lot of Blue Golds who did not suit up today
but did travel because it's such a short drive, who
will make those handshakes as well. And Stout gonna run
down to the end to our left. That's where the

(03:09:31):
Blue Golds are exiting the field as well. So I
might have a little bit of a traffic jam over there,
but I don't think Stout's gonna care too much. My
guess is it'll be Patrick Corker. Always one of the
fun things to look at in this little celebration is
who goes and gets that trophy first. It's not gonna
be Patrick Corkoran and that's Ben Tolkienen. And the man
who's leading the charger I think is Nate Rewald. It

(03:09:54):
is Nate Rewald heading down to the left side and
gonna go get that trophy down at the end zone
to our left. You're seeing the handshake line as you
watch at home. We'll try to shoot the trophy as
they bring it out there. They come across the goal
line and Stout will celebrate with it near the north
end zone at the twenty yard line. Nate Reewald went

(03:10:16):
and got it first. Something you take for granted. I
think this Blue Devils team has had that trophy now
for a decade, sitting in Johnson Field House in the hallways,
and you can again, you can get to a point
where you kind of take it for granted a bit,
but they will not. They'll celebrate with it here at
the thirty yard line and hold that trophy high in

(03:10:37):
the air as the Blue Golds lose to the Blue
Devils today and the Devils win the war On ninety
four trophy for the night straight time here in this
rivalry series, and plenty of celebrations. This is a big
day in Menominee as it is not only homecoming, it

(03:10:57):
is also Hall of Fame day all vahallaas we're here.
There'll be a banquet tonight and lots of celebrations throughout
the town of Menominee today as Stout wins here against
so Claire for the ninth straight time, and they have
defended Williams Stadium successfully against So Claire since twenty eleven.
And you're starting to get to the point where some
of these guys, you know, they're just getting bored around

(03:11:19):
that time. Now when when this rivalry matchup comes back
here to Monominee in two seasons as well, so they
hold it high in the air. It's a forty two
to twenty four win for Stout. We will have our
postgame show coming up in two minutes right after this
here on the YAX Sports Network.

Welcome back in here to Williams Stadium as we are

those who made the broadcast happen today. Is Dan Price

happen here on our video side on the YAX Sports.
Now we're peekadotsing with you over the final stats here
as we await coach Birmingham to come up to the booth.

(03:14:19):
I believe we'll be joined by him here in just
a few moments. I thought I saw him on the
way up, so we'll see him in a few moments.
Let's go through the final stats here from this game.
Stout with four hundred and ninety five yards of total
offense four hundred and fifty for oh Claire in the end,
a lot of those coming on the last couple drives,
and South had some of the second in the third
stringers in so maybe a little bit of a that

(03:14:39):
doesn't really tell the tale of this game. Oklayer ends
up with twenty five first downs to the twenty four
of Stout, but the starter Adam Ohen twenty four of
thirty in this game for three hundred and forty three
yards and five touchdowns and a heck of a day
for him in the quarterback spot. Today is receiving wise
Patrick Corkoran three receptions for one hundred and thirty one yards.

(03:15:00):
All three receptions were touchdown receptions. As Corkran goes away
with those three touchdown receptions. Here today Hockinson sixty nine
yards receiving, Evans thirty four, Williams thirty three, Tim twenty six,
Token and twelve, Zizolka eleven, Carls eight, de Vorak eight,
Dehurst five, Nelson for and Frank had that great two

(03:15:20):
yard touchdown reception near the goal line as well. So
count them up and you get to a total of
twelve different receivers to catch a pass in this game
for the Blue Devils. On the other side for oh Claire,
thirty six of fifty four was Harry Rubidou with two
touchdowns and a pick three hundred and ninety eight yards
passing today, Donahue came in for a couple of drives,

(03:15:40):
went two of two for thirty three yards as well,
no touchdown, no interceptions. Torgerson had fifteen yards rushing for
oh Claire. He led the way in that category. Gory
Garside had one hundred and sixty eight yards receiving, but
no touchdown receptions. Today Williams had one touchdown reception for
fifty nine yards on four receptions. Today. Toole had six
receptions fifty three yards and one touchdown as well, And

(03:16:04):
so that was your individual list there also Stout with
one hundred and fifty four yards rushing, three hundred and
forty three passing four hundred and thirty one yards passing
for Oaklaier just nineteen rushing yards A scouts rush defense
continues to look awfully good here for the Blue Devils
this season. Still waiting on coach Birmingham. Hopefully he'll make

(03:16:25):
his way up there. It is Hall of Fame day,
so wouldn't be surprised if he gets stopped a couple
times on the way up to the booth here to
do our postgame interview. Other scores fro around the wiac
Oshkosh wins forty two to seven over Stevens Point. Today
Lacrosse finishes off River Falls and wins twenty eight to
twenty four. So river Falls now down to two losses

(03:16:45):
in conference play, so is Lacrosse. So the win goes
to Platte Bill over Whitewater, another crushing defeat. And here
I mean with Whitewater's program the way that they exist,
you would not be surprised if there are people calling
for the coaches head being four and three and two
and two in conference. But Platfelm proves is six and one,
three and one in conference. So now Oshkosh, Stout and

(03:17:08):
Plattville are tied atop the conference at three and one
going into next week's play. And of course two of
those well, Stout will be playing lacrosse next week, so
that's going to be an exciting one here at Williams
Stadium for sure. A couple of things you can tune
into this afternoon here for Stout. The men's soccer team
is at Concordia College. That game just got underway. That's

(03:17:31):
in Concordia Moorhead, Minnesota, where they will be playing that game.
And they just got underway in that one volleyball playing
at Eau Claire earlier today. Don't have a final on
that first matchup. They should be playing Saint Olof as
well here very shortly also, and the final one is
Stout's men's soccer team or women's soccer team losing two

(03:17:51):
to nothing right now to Whitewater coach Birmingham joins us
here on our post game show. Appreciate you taking the
time with us as always, coach, and well all around win,
a bounce back win for your guys after that tough
week last week. And you know, early on in this game,
he thought that no one was going to be stopped
from scoring. It was just back and forth, everybody up
and down. What did your defense have to do to

(03:18:13):
finally lock in and you stop o clear on some
of those fourth downs that they went for in that
first half.

Speaker 7 (03:18:20):
Yeah, you know, I thought the pass defense wasn't the
best for us today. So you know, I think he
got a lot of yards. There was just a lot
of yards game. So but those probably our guys. We
were kind of that Oaklea shay Ben, but don't break
defense all day. So yeah, when you when you get
face passing offenses like this, and the room condenses, you
know once you get down to the in the red zone,

(03:18:41):
so they have much room to do all those So
I thought that guys stepped up, We're gonna make We
made plays when we need to make plays. And some
prop of our guess.

Speaker 3 (03:18:49):
Yeah, I mean Garside comes up with one hundred and
sixty eight yards receiving, and it's one of those where
you kind of just assume he's gonna get his yards
every game, and he did a pretty good job shutting
everybody else down. And then you get Patrick corkeran who
pulled off his best Randy Moss against the Cowboys from
many a Thanksgiving a go where he gets just three receptions,
but they're all touchdowns and what one hundred and thirty
one yards. He's He's a special player, isn't he. It

(03:19:11):
seems like too he really likes playing in this rivalry game.

Speaker 7 (03:19:13):
Oh yeah, no question. I mean he's a he's a
he's a fun one. So he does a great job,
full of energy every day. You know, Adam's really doing
a good job of settling and in those two guys
got a pretty good connection. Now, so I'm just proud
of haul over guys played. So I'm sure doing watch film,
it's gonna be a lot of things we need to
fix before we get onto lacrosse. But uh yeah, it
was a fun game.

Speaker 3 (03:19:34):
I say you worked in. I mean twelve different receivers
I think caught a ball today. Caleb tim gets a
touchdown reception, Mason Frank at that awesome one hand of
grab down there as well. You're working a bunch of
guys in. You work Luke Seden in in a couple
of plays there at quarterback. It seems like weapon wise,
this might be the most weapons you had. You've had
a lot of really good weapons over the years. This
might be the most weapons you've had in a long time.

Speaker 7 (03:19:56):
Offensively, Yeah, you know, it's it's one of those things
where you got the athletes to get creative and put
them on the field. So offense staff's son a good
job of doing that, and you know, we get some
great athletes, but you know we'll play eleven guys. It's
you know, you don't see them.

Speaker 3 (03:20:08):
So no, I like how they're doing the rotation.

Speaker 7 (03:20:11):
And again it's this league's gonna come down to see
was healthy at the end of the year, and we
want to give as many people experienced as possible, so
we're not at the end get a dinger. And uh,
you know, as a as a rookie out there first year,
you know playing So no, I think we're doing good.
I mean it's we're banged up. I was really nervous
coming in this game, to be honest with you, more
nervous i've ever been in terms of those injuries. Right, Yeah,

(03:20:33):
we just were so banged up at certain positions that
I mean, we had guys that didn't practice all week,
literally all week, and all they're doing is rehabing, watching
practice and getting mental reps and then came out here
and played. I mean, it's just they're tough guys, and
uh it was I'm haappy for him. There probably gonna
be a little sort tonight and it might be another
week off and play again on Saturday. But that's sometimes

(03:20:55):
we're just what you gotta do.

Speaker 3 (03:20:57):
Five and two overall, three and one in confort here,
I think now going to be in a three way
tie here at the top. You do, you be in
a tie likely at the end of the day anyway,
But you've got three games ahead of you. Two of
them we're at home. And it's right there, isn't it.
You win three and you win a conference title. I
mean it's it's there's not a lot of times where
you can get to week eight and say, hey, if
we just went out we get a conference title. Is
that kind of a message to the guys, like, hey,

(03:21:18):
let's just keep plugging away and take care of business
and you guys have put yourself in a really good position.

Speaker 7 (03:21:23):
Yeah, you know the message to the team, we'rong're you
can talk about it.

Speaker 3 (03:21:25):
To be honest with you, it's going to be hope
to get ahead of It's so funny right now.

Speaker 7 (03:21:28):
I mean literally, we've we've talked all year, just get
the next game. Just one play at a time, get
the next game. So we're just gonna worry about lacrosse.
And it's a crazy year, so who knows how it
all sorts of the only thing we can control is
taking care of business and winning the next game. So
our guys will, our guys will come on, they'll be focused.

Speaker 3 (03:21:47):
W'll be some good food of that banquet night, yeah right, so.

Speaker 7 (03:21:49):
Right, yeah, yeah, hopefully there's some good food. But yeah,
so hopefully we can get that banquet change maybe next
year enough so it's not not on the night of
a game and we can go and have cell.

Speaker 3 (03:22:00):
Right, So absolutely we'll have some fun there at the
Hall of Fame baquet and a great win here homecoming
war on ninety four. Hall of Fame. It's all there
and military next week and that should be a lot
of fun and appreciate you taking the time. I appreciate it.
Coach Birmingham joining us here on our post game show.
That'll do it for us again. Back in action next
week another one o'clock game against Lacrosse here at donno

(03:22:21):
Ona Williams Stadium. We do believe we'll be on the
radio for that one as well, but if not, you
can catch us on the YAX Sports Network. So a
lot of fun simulcasts, a lot of fun we got. Hey,
I'll tell you what. Before this game, we kind of
scrambled a bit, but we got this thing on. It
look darn good. So a great job by our video
crew as always, and as always back in studio on
the radio side, the incomparable Dan Price doing a great

(03:22:41):
job back there as well for everybody here for Coach
Birmingham and Raith Bauer joined us during our halftime show,
our entire video and radio crew. I'm Peacanots in your
