Speaker 1 (00:03):
The following is a special presentation of iHeartMedia, Sports and
News Talk Am eight to eighty from Johnson field House
here on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. So
we welcome you in to the final regular season game
of the twenty twenty four twenty twenty five Women's basketball
Division three y X season. It's the uw Oshkosh Titans,

(00:26):
the number seventh ranked team in the country at twenty
two and two overall and the regular season conference champions,
taking on the second place team in the WYEC in
the nineteenth ranked team in the nation in the uws
down Blue Devils at eighteen and six overall this season.
Hello everybody, we are live from Johnson field House. I'm
peaking into a special thanks as always to Dan Bryce,

(00:48):
our radio producer here on Newstock WMQAMA eighty one O
six REMMWMQ dot com and I are Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
And a special thanks to Lauren and our friends up in.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
The TV booth as we sign on cast you live
here on the YAX Sports Network as well.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Should be a good one here today between these two teams.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
We were hoping coming into today's game that this would
be for the number one seed and for the regular
season conference championship. Unfortunately for Stout, they had a slip
up on Wednesday, nine and eighty five to seventy one
loss against Stevens Point, which took them out of the
running for that Scosh and Stout would have basically been
had a chance to tie their regular season records if

(01:28):
they'd won that game, and Stout would have the tie
break to get the one seed in the conference tournament
next week. Unfortunately, that won't be the case. However, both
these two teams are locked into the top two seeds
in the conference coming into tonight's play, and so that
means they'll get a bye on Tuesday night in the
opening round to the YAK Tournament, and they will also
get to play a home game in the semi final
on Thursday night. This has been a great matchup over

(01:50):
the last two or three seasons Pscotch and Stout and Whitewater,
those three have been kind of the arguably the best
teams in women's basketball from old the last couple of
seasons in the WIA seed. Last season, Stout went into Oshcosh.
Oshcotch had lost all season at home, and they went
into Oshkosh and won the conference Championship Tournament to get

(02:12):
the auto bid in the NCAA Tournament.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Stout would then get to.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
The Sweet sixteen before losing to Transylvania in the Sweet
sixteen down at Whitewater. It was a big win for
the Blue Devils program. Then Stout earlier this season of
the first game of January, the first conference game of
the season, would lose at Oshkosh sixty seven to fIF
p seven to Brad Fisher's team. This Oshcotsh team has
been great and they are one of the best defensive

(02:38):
teams in the nation. They very easily will be hosting
the opening, second, first and second rounds in the NCAA Tournament.
With how high of a seeding that they have at
the moment, There's no doubt about that, and so the
question becomes is what other YAC teams will join them.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
The Blue Devils are a virtual lock.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
For the NCAA Tournament, Whitewater is a virtual lock for
the NCAA Tournament. There's a chance that Lacrosse and Stevens
Point could join those three teams in the NCAA Tournament
as well.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
The YAC has an outside chance having five.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Teams of the NCAA tournament, which is the Division three
level is unheard of.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
You're lucky to get three teams and that means you're
really good.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Five teams of Division three is ridonculous, and it's definitely
possible going into next week.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Sir, what a week and a half we get to
the NCAA tournament. So it should be a lot of
fun here today. We're happy to have you along with us.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I did have a chance to sitting down Hanna Iverson,
the head coach of the Blue Devils, and have a
conversation with her about the season and about what this
game means even though the seeds and everything is kind
of locked in for the YAC tournament.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Good conversation. So it's here what Hannah Iverson had to say.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And Hannah Iverson now joins us as we get set
fer Stout taking on Oshcosh here in the final game
of the regular season. And coach, is great to have
you here on the air and be back on the
radio side of things. And I'm sure a lot of
folks out there who might be tuning in might not be,
you know, catching every video broadcast.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
And now so I'll talk a.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Little bit about the season so far, where your team's
been you know, ups and downs. Maybe not quite as
a stream of up and ups and downs as we
saw last year, but your squad is locked into the
two spot in the YAK and now you get to
play the top team in the WAYAC in Oshkosh today.
So what's kind of been the story of this season
and what are you looking forward to not only today
but as we get to the YAC tournament as well.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, this year, just like any year, has just been
an interesting year. And I think every coach kind of
has those moments where you're like, Okay, what are we
doing now? What are we doing now? And this year
for us, we had to do a ton of retooling early.
You know, we lost four starters early, so we had
to literally retool how we attack. You take sixty points
off a floor, and everything kind of changes for us

(04:35):
on the defensive side and the offensive side in transition,
which we you know, in the past, have been phenomenal
at and I think there's parts of our game still
that haven't gotten clicked back. And this is what I've
been saying to these guys the whole time, is we
are so close to being untouchable, you know, like the
nice thing is like the beneficial thing is that we
know it exists. I mean, the first game of the

(04:56):
year that we played against Calvin was probably our great
this forty minute picture of like what we're capable of
and what we're able to do. And the best part
of it is is we're looking to play at best
basketball at the end. So being able to piggyback off
that and do the things make the growth that we
had to make in the in between to get everyone back,
to get everyone healthy, to now get back to what
we're doing and working to play our best basketball, I

(05:19):
think is really part of the story. Now we've dropped
some games, and I think the thing about the YAK
is you can show up and play really good and
still lose. And if you show up in the YAK
and you don't play well, you're gonna lose, like and
that's one of the beautiful things about this league. And
I think that's we've done that in a few occasions here.

(05:39):
We've not played good basketball, and no one's gonna handy
anything in here. It doesn't matter where you stand on
that standing boards. And along with that, wins are wins.
Like to be in the two here is something we're
proud of, you know, and we're also in the business
of hopefully controlling our own destiny as much as we can.
Like it was a nice picture for us last year
to be able to win the conference tournament, not have

(06:00):
to wait for if our name is going to be called,
when it's going to be called, just know it's coming up.
And I think, you know, that's part of it, like
taking it one minute at a time, one play at
a time, and just kind of waiting for our best
basketball to be shown out there, because I still think
the world hasn't seen some of our best basketball.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You talk about how tough this conference is, I mean,
there's an outside chance that five teams get the NCAA
Tournament from this conference as well, which is kind of ridiculous, right.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Of how good it is.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
But as you come into today, you know, kind of
knowing that you're locked in and everything, do you need
to say anything motivationally? I mean, obviously it's senior Day.
There's a plenty of things extrinsic type of things that
you can kind of touch on. Or is this team
so senior laden that you just kind of know that
they should in this situation bring their best against a
really good team and at home and Senior Day and

(06:44):
all those things.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, I mean I think I'm not a big hoorah
rah speech gal. Anyway, I think if I have to
motivate you ever, we're probably not going to be our best.
And so we do believe firmly in that. But I
think the point that I have to make as the
coach in moments like this and now tonight, there's not
a ton on the line in terms of seating and

(07:05):
placement all of that, we're already locked, but there is
a ton on the line in terms of Senior Nite.
I mean, anytime you add a ton of emotions to anything,
whether it be big picture game, rivalry games, everything on
the line games, or senior night games, like all of
a sudden, things start getting bigger than they need to be.
And so our message is just shrink the picture, like
get more laser focused, stop worrying about the next forty

(07:29):
minutes and worry about the one in front of you.
You know, we can't worry about tomorrow until today's over.
We can't you worry about the next possession until this
one happens. And some of those focuses I think are
really big for us, and honestly, Pete, like, I love
where we're at. Like, I think we just started clicking
as a unit as a team. We have a chemistry
that is really fun, and our girls are I think

(07:51):
taking that to another level. I mean what we have
in terms of our fan support and all of that.
I think it's all just a thing that motivates us
and propels us through this last part of the season
and it's a fun thing to be a part of.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Hoshcosh comes in.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
You guys have seen them for a while, right, Obviously
it was the first game of the conference season back
in January. Only two losses for them on the season.
They're going to be a top seed not only in
this YAC tournament but the NCAA tournament. What do they
do and what are the keys for you to break
them down? Because that defense is we know, pretty solid.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
On the other side, Yeah, I mean, they're a phenomenal team.
They're phenomenally coached year in and year out. They have a
defense that makes everything you want to do uncomfortable. And
I think we have a top defense against a top offense,
and that's a real challenge. We told our girls, like,
you're not walking in there expecting offense is going to
be anything but hard, you know, And so our focus

(08:41):
offensively is to chip away at a defensive effort possession
after possession. So we want our girls to stack actions.
We want our girls to challenge their scout. We want
our girls to keep great spacing and fight for great looks.
And there's going to be a ton of times where
they're going to withhold that. That's just what they do.
And our ability to get a po sessions somewhere, whether
it be off and oh board, whether it be off

(09:04):
another screen that comes later in the possession, whether it
be off just big time kids making big time plays.
We're going to need some of those going against a
team like Gosh Gosh. And then on the defensive side
for us, they're a pretty basketball team like our job,
and honestly, we run very similar offenses. They're a pretty
basketball team. We're a competitive, gritty team. And that's the
difference between our two five outs and what we are

(09:26):
in the business of doing on the defensive side is
disrupting their pretty basketball and we're going to work to
keep aside and we have to protect some backside rebounds.
They use a ton of backside action and backside rebounds,
and both of those things hurt us the first time
we played them. So there are areas we're going to
look to clear up here, all.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Right, looking forward to getting the covery on the radio
here over the next couple of weeks. And we appreciate
you taking the time and good luck today.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, we're glad to have you back.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Thanks Pete Tana I ever said a lot more and
we come back.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
He welcome back in here at to Johnson Field House.
Do we vin scored on the campus of the University
of wiscont Wisconsin. Stout here in Menominee as we get
set for the final.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Game of the regular season.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Happy to have you along with us both on the
YAX Sports Network and a news dock WMQ. Should be
a fun one here this afternoon again getting a little
bit of a test in for when we do our
simulcast of the semi final game, which will come up
on Thursday. For Stout, do not know who will play
yet again. The opening round three versus six, four versus
five matchups are on Tuesday, and in the women's basketball

(11:28):
and men's basketball tournaments, they do reseed, so Stout will
play basically the best seed left. Hodgecott will play the
worst seed left in the semi finals, and then if
Stout can win, they would either head two Oshcots for
the championship game or they would host whoever beats oscotsh
in that semi final round of the tournament on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
So that Thursday night game will be.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
A seven o'clock game next week, and again we'll have
it here on News Suck, WMQ and the YAC Sports Network.
Looking forward to that. Remember hockey tonight as well men's hockey.
For Stout loss four to one yesterday to River Falls,
they get game number two of the quote unquote three
game series tonight. If Stout wins that opening one, they
would go to a mini game and then god knows
what will happened after that. We saw a game last

(12:11):
year in Old Clayer in the semi finals that went
to a minigame and then went to three overtimes and
we didn't get home until the next day, So it
very easily could be something like that as well.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
But we'll see how it all works out here this
afternoon and evening.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Again, a special thanks to Dan Bryce back on the
radio side and a Lauren here on the video side
for bringing you all the sites in the souths from
Johnson Fieldhouse. Like we said, these two teams have had
some great battles over the years. Over the last couple
of seasons, especially against Out winning the YAC Conference Championship
tournament at Oshkosh last year, they cut down the nets.
Oshkosh has used that as fuel this year, helped them

(12:47):
on to a win in the first.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Game these two teams played.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Stout needs to figure out a way to win it
here today to split this series. It would also help
their overall NPI numbers. NPI is now the new formula
that is basically the only formula that's going to be
used to get teams in to the NCAA tournament. Stout
comes in to today twenty sixth in the nation. In
the NPI, you're gonna have to be around forty to
get an at large bidding game. Even if Stout were

(13:11):
will lose today, and let's say they're to lose the
opening the semi final round of the YAC tournament, they
should not drop below forty. But again, it's all about
how many teams who aren't supposed to get in get
in because they win their conference tournament and so on,
so that those numbers will change, those numbers will vary.
The thing is is if you win, you secure your spot.
And today a win today should one hundred percent get

(13:32):
them in the NCAA tournament. If they're not already a
one hundred percent lock as well, Hoscotch knows they're in.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
They know that they're solid and this could very easily
be a preview.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Of the championship game in the YAK Tournament next Saturday.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
As well a week from today.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
So this is a little bit of the amuz boosh
if you will to the potential YAC championship game too.
It's also Senior Night. The entire starting lineup for the
Blue Devils is comprised of seniors. It looks like the
Sam Shapers of guard five foot nine senior from the
Forest She will start for the Blue Devils. Aman mcgeeson,
the eighth all time leading scorer for the Blue Devils
women's basketball program from New Broton, Minnesota, is five eleven

(14:09):
of board and senior Reagan Sorens in the pre season
second Team All American last year's third place All American.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Our third Team All American is the.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Senior guard from Centuria, Wisconsin and Unity High School to
start alongside Anna Much, one of the top five scorers
in Stout history as well. She is a five eighth
senior from Apple Valley, Minnesota, and Lexie Wagner, the transfer
from Youngstown State and from Galesville get In high school.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
She is the grad student who starts.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
Has a record for the most threes in a game
with nine earlier this season against UWA Claire. The starting
lineup for the Titans looks as follows. Kate Hummel, the
junior on a Jeansville Craig, will start along with Sarah Hardwick,
junior from Green Bay Notre Dame. Alex Rondorf will also start.
A grand student from West ben Wisconsin. Avery Pool starts,
a junior from Cottage Grove, Wisconsin to Monona Grove High School,

(15:00):
and Casey Vail is the leading scorer on this team
from Greendale, Wisconsin in her fifth year and she is
the player you got to watch on the offensive side
of the ball for Brad Fischer's to Brad Fisher in
his thirteenth season at the head of Oshkosh two eighty
two and seventy three record multi time Coach of the Year,
Hen Iverson, the coach of the year last year in
the Kuaiak seventh season out of u w A Green Bay,

(15:21):
and one seven and sixty in her time at the
Helm of the Blue Devils program. Let's turn over to
j Fall, our PA announcement announcer for the announcement playing
of the national anthem here from Johnson.

Speaker 7 (15:31):
Field Now.

Speaker 8 (15:55):
You are.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
The national anthem from Johnson Fieldhouse and dew I minse core.
We'll get to the starting lineups here what you just
heard in a moment as you watch them here at
home on the YAX Sports Network. Were also on the
network play for you the hype up video for the
Blue Devils as well. Here on the radio side, we'll
continue talking during that. I will say here for those
of you watching at home and those of you listening,

(17:36):
the stands that you see that are behind the benches
do not look terribly packed.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
But the home.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Stands on the side that the cameras on are absolutely packed.
There is not a lot of empty seats. Student section
was told that it is a grout fit day to day.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
What does that mean. It's all gray.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
They're all wearing gray over there, and they've got the
chance to get entered into some drawings. I believe for
some toppers, pizza and whatnot as well, So it should
be a fun one. Here tonight, a pump up video
comes your way here on the YAX Sports Network and
here at home, we get ready for what should be
an exciting one between these two teams on newstalk wwqamat Ay,

(18:10):
Menominee Translator, W two nine to two, EG one O
six point three, FMO player, and iHeart Radio Station.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Probably this team is.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
A lot of rings, a lot of jewelry, if you will.
Since coming here to Stout sweet sixteen, a conference championship
last year in the tournament, a regular season conference championship
the year before that as well, and.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
So again, Hannah Iverson has been together one heck of a.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Squad and fortunate part is a lot of this squad
is graduating. There's some really good players in the que
basically for Stout, some freshmen including Mary Berg from right
here in menomine who's been great this season. It's gonna
be a fun one to watch these players playing. We
know it's not the last time they're going to play
Johnson fieldous, but it might be the second last time.
If that's the case, it is just important to sit

(18:58):
back and enjoy watching these seniors play. Is Sam Shafer
is announced again one of the many seniors here. There's
seniors who will not get the start today as well.
Listen Loder Meyers. One of those players, Allison Letcher, will
also not get the start today.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Because there's so many seniors on this team.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Blenanda Geeson, who has been great, set a career high
a few games ago thirty three points to the contest
earlier this season in that loss against Lacrosse Reagan Sorenson
the All American tossing a ball up into the sands.
Here something fun that this squad has done. They get
the crowd really involved. Like we said, there's a ton
of people here on the home stand here today. They

(19:38):
pack it in nicely here at Johnson field House.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
And if you've been.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Here before and you know there are a lot of
new arenas, Son and tag Page Arena, all the new
arenas in the WYAC, this arena has a little bit
of that old school feel to it and it can
get loud and rocking, and I expect it to be
loud and rocking against a really good at Scotch team today.
But of course Dout's got to give the crowd something
to rock about, and that's the question. Are they able
to do that? This afternoon should be a good one.

(20:03):
We're happy to have you along with us here on
the y x Works Network PN News dock wmq Oshcosh's
seventh rank team in the country in the D three
hoops dot Com Pole.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Stout the nineteenth.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Rane team in the country in the D three hoops
dot Com pole Oshkosh is eleventh from the coaches pol.
Stout is just receiving folks in the coaches pol So.
There is some disparity amongst the media members and coaches
as to where they want to rank Stout as well,
but they'll take out his motivation. Anna much'll take it
as a motivation, and Reagan.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Sorens and will as well.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
She lets you know it is indeed game time, and
she likes to say, don't let those devils get hot,
and she will get ready. Here Stout in the gray
alternate uniforms for that Drout that gray out today is
Stole Windsay opening tip moves left right to left as
you watch him at home, left to right for you
on the radio down. But I'll keep it kosher with

(20:52):
our video viewers here as well as Reagan Sorens and
good to drive from.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
The right wing.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Look met the first step, I'll miss the layup and
gee and can't get the rebound. It's grabbed by Oshcotch
Oshcotch in the road black uniforms with the gold numbers
in lettering as they moved left to right as you
watch them here at home, Kate Hummel up top pier
toward Alex Rondorf at the top of the key, loves
it down to the right block toward veil veil with

(21:17):
the spin move with the right hand goes up and
in stot wanted to travel. Didn't get a call there
on that spin move, and it's an early two nothing
lead for Oshcotsh.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Both of these teams are really good.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Early third quarters, there's a quick catch and shoot from
Leuxei Wagner not a great shot, wasn't squear it up
and a rebound for Oshcotsh as Sarah Hardwick gets the
rebound on a very quick possession course out. They've had
the first shot a good one from Sorenson. She just
missed from point blank grades that one. Not a good
shot for Leuxey Wagner, so he go on the post
of bail spin move there with the left hand off
the glass. No nice rebound for Amanda Geeseon Eason one

(21:51):
of the leading rebounders in the history of this program
is Wagner gets the trail passed from much much.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
To Geeson on the left wing.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Raised today with the Navy blue uniforms or Navy blue numbers.
Excuse me, how about Sorensen from the top of the
key that's off the front eyro or no and the
rebound hardwook so stout Starting some early threes and just missing.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
That was their key when they.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Beat Oschcosh at Oshcosh in the championship game last year.
A lot of made threes early and that really took
oschcotsh out of their defensive form. Is there's a quick
bucket on the other end for Oshkosh and they are
up four to nothing. Eighth nineteen left to play here
in the first quarter, Lexi Wagner high white and left
looking for Manda Geson at the top of the key.

(22:33):
They'll switch it down on the right side to Sam
Schaeffer Shaffer looking for Wagner flashing across the lane. Geeseon
gets to catch at the top looking for an up
and unders, you'll go out to Much in the corner.
Much in the right corner, spins to the right eyebo
down to the block. She goes out the window. Yes,
four to two lead here for Oschcotch. Put a good
bucket there from Ana Mutch. Usually when you need to
stop a run from another team, you need some grint

(22:55):
and some determination. You go to Anna Much. She's the
one who will give you those buckets. So also get
be a quick little little interview on the mic there
before the game as well. Reagan Sorenson loses her footing
as Avery Pool kicks it in the corner here to Hummel,
Hummel inside the bail veil on geeseon with the right hand.
That one bounces out rebound of Buyanna Much look like
vailed travel before that didn't get a call. And then

(23:17):
Vale gives Ana much of the business and she gets
popped up into the front court. Ada Much yells out
and says, let's go score two the lead for ashcot
Rad Fisher immediately arguing the call. You'll see him argue
every foul call tonight. And I know we're on the
YAX Sports Network, but it is Look, it's part of
the game, and.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
It's something you'll see him do.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Stout's gonna get some quick substitutions here and we will
get our first look at Rosello Willie for the Blue Devils.
Willie comes away of Cannon Falls, Minnesota and the hometown girl,
and Mary Berg is into the game as well. She
was great early in the season when Stout was riddled
with injuries, knocking down threes like it was her job.
As Lexie. Wagner gets it at the top, takes a two.

(23:58):
That's got to be either a follow deflection Rosella. Willie
gets to the ball and I get it out to
Wagner at the left elbow. Wagner gonna back it back
out to will It Willy on the wing with seven
to shoot. That ball never hit the rim. You need
to get a shot off. It's Wagner at the top
three to shoot. She'll take a three that is off
the mark.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Again.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
I think twice on those threes, Oshcosh is all over.
I think the first one she definitely thought was a file.
The second one might not have been, but she's clearly
not doesn't have a lot of space and that has
been an issue for Stout the last couple of weeks
seems have really bodied up on Lexi Wagner out beyond
the art, and Stout's got to figure out a way
to fring her up and get her some space because
she is easily the best three point shooter in the conference.

(24:37):
But she's got to get at least a touch of
space to do things. Here is Pool now kicking it
in the corner at three on the way and good,
and I think Oshkosh has come to play. Rondorf scores
at seven to two. Oshcosh six point thirty left to go.
First quarter, Sam Shafer to Wagner up on the high
right wings to return it to Shapfer at the top.
She'll kick it in the right corner to bird Burn

(24:58):
down back out to Wagner. Wagner has a hand in
her face from Pool. She'll move left hand off to Sorenson.
Sorenson have Pool heads out on her. Sorenson gets around
her with the.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Right hand up and in seven of four oscotch.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Sorenson would not be denied. That is the best I've
seen Reagan Sorenson look.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
In a while. Again.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
She had an ankle injury in the second game of
the season, and she has been slowly but surely recovering
back from that. Mary Berg goes with a drive there
by Hummel, and they're going to get a foul call
on mary Berg for a foul, and I think Anna
Hiverson is upset because it was the same kind of
situation you saw at the other end not being called,

(25:37):
and now it's been called at this Endways we will
see shall pick up the foul off mary Berg, and
so she'll have to check out. Hannah Iverson is telling
Tim Whitaker right now, said, Hey, if you're gonna call
that here, you gotta call it at the other side
as well as the first free throw. We'll fall through
here for Oshkosh and Kate Hummel. Hummel at the line,

(25:58):
the fourth leading score on this team is shooting seventy
four percent from the line nine to four.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Oscotch leads five fifty five up to play here in
the first quarter. She makes both free throws.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Moscotsh does not score a ton per game, sixty five
points seven a game, but they're holding teams to just
forty eight points a game. That's the best number in
the league. They're the best defense, and I think by
a by a pretty wide margin. If Sorenson tries to
drive from the right wing, gets cut off, they cut
it to Berg. Bird goes in the corner to Geeson.
Geeson drives in the lane, stops, goes up with the
right hand yes, over top of Oshkotch's Sammy Bayer and

(26:36):
Buyer unable to defend it. Nine to six Oscotch Buyer
into the front court a hot pink shoes on a
Buyer at the top of the key, had it poked
away by Sorenson, and Sorenson's gonna.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Get called for a file.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
While just an awful call. I mean that is just
absolutely terrible. As Sorenson dope for the ball, she also
got poked in the eye. I mean, it's just a
bad ball all the way around. Not a lot you
can do. And Sorenson has been hurt by officiating calls
a lot this season. And unfortunately the All American is
gonna have to go to the bench with that first foul.

(27:07):
Just a minute and or part me. Four minutes and
forty seconds into the game. They go in the corner
here to Hummel hum off the top left wing guarded
by Berg, but give and go the left side off
the window is yes from Hardwick. Hardwick scores off the
window eleven to six.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Osh gosh.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
He's Sam Schaeffer at the high right wing in the
corner here to berg Berg hands off to Geeson.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Geeson pops at three.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Got it, rattle it in to Amanda Geeson eleven to nine,
oshcosh four fifty to go. Here in quarter number one,
Quickilly Ahead comes buy or Buyer into the front court.
Snout trying to d up a bit here I Fyer
gets a screen from Veil. They want to return it
to bail Shaffer bodying her up real nicely. Bail all

(27:55):
over and then they get a poke away from Geeson
and a steal from Berg. Here comes Sout down two
into the front court. Schaeffer to the left side of
the lane, picks up the dribble, gets it to Berg
in the corner.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Now it's much out on the left wing.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Gieson at the top of the key, crosses over, gets
double team, goes back to Willy Stout will slow it
down a bit. Here, here's much much hesitates long two
from the elbow, no too strong and the rebound.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Hardwick.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
That's her game, but you could tell she was not
quite squared up to the bucket and didn't make a
good shot there. Here's Buyer into the front court. Buyer
to the lane, stops the dribble at the free throw line.
Down to Veil in the right corner, warded by Rosella.
Willie Veiled big size over there at six foot one.
Not a Greendale. The turn pass in the corner of
three coming off the side. No Willie gets the rebound

(28:39):
on the miss from ron door. Willy picks it up
here to Shaffer three forty eight to go in the
first quarter. Kick it across to Much on the left wing,
much inside the geese. It at the block, spins she
is gets it blocked by mail.

Speaker 9 (28:49):
No call, whoa boy?

Speaker 1 (28:51):
No call there on Geeson say it was all ball.
We'll look at the ringplay, I'm sure. Nonetheless, here is Buyer.
Buyer kicks it in a drive by Hummel a floater
goes thirteen to nine oshcotsh three twenty six to go.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
First quarter.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Hann Ivers had raven off the officials there, saying man
could have been the second foul on vail and they
just didn't call it. Here's Anna Much at the top
over to Berg on the right wing, good three point
shooter on a Monominee. Here's Willie Willie into much in
the short corner. Spins takes the two no good for
Anna much rebound Oshcotch. They left her open and she

(29:28):
decided to take the two point jay and missed. Three
minutes left to go, first quarter, still old a media
time out here, haven't had a whistle in a while.
Here's Buyer Buyer in the right wing looking to post
up bail high lows. She won't catch it, got a
bounds and it's a turnover too. Stout an immediate time
out man with two forty eight to go. Here in
the first quarter, it's Oshcosh thirteen Stout nine. Here on

(29:51):
the WYAK Sports Network.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Welcome back here to Johnson Fieldhouse.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Two forty eight left to go first quarters, Stout trailing
thirteen to nine. Here to Oshkosh in women's basketball. All
the men's matchups happen later today. It is important to
note that Stout is at Oscotch today. Oshkosh was a
team that was receiving votes at ranked at one point
earlier this season, but they are now officially in seventh
place in the YAX Scouts and sick. But if Oscosh

(30:53):
beats the Blue Devils today in men's basketball, Stout, if
not for one kind of wild scenario, is likely not
gonna get in the YAC tournament. So that's a must
win game for the Blue Devils later today at the
Calf Sports Center. That is a seven o'clock game tonight.
You can watch on the YAX Sports Network to see
what's going on there, to see if the mend s
team makes the tournament. We'll get the other women's scores
here in a moment. Again, everything locked in, at least

(31:15):
for Stout on Oshcotch. They know where they're gonna be
in the YAC tournament. Oshcots should be the one seed.
Stout will be the two seed. As Anna muchas Aba
out of the time out and a little contact, she'll
take a two.

Speaker 9 (31:25):
She make for two.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
Kate Hammel trying to take a charge. Probably, I don't
know if it should have been something, but I mean,
if you're not gonna call a charger, I think it's
gotta be a flop, which they didn't call either. Here's
Buyer now at the top of the key, crossing over
into lane. Fades fires short rebound Geeson here per Stout
gieson into the front court. Geson head up, find Shafer

(31:48):
Schaeffer on the right wing. Hand off to Wagner. Wagner
was not left open enough to get it to Schaffer
in the corner. Now Schafer drives to the elbow. They're
gonna get back to Wagner. She will boy a great
defense from Pool. They've been all over Wagner trying to
get that three point shot off. Deeson up top to Wagner.
Wagner inside anamuch ate to shoot. Deflected pass going away
by Rondorf from the Titans. Buyer up in the front court. Ooh,

(32:11):
almost to travel there. Good catch by Pool on the wing.
Wagner defense, you're gonna stop her from driving. Looks like
good job defending there. They get it in the corner
to Buyer a three. That one's short rebound Shaper in
the blue doubles. Shafer's got it in the front court here,
she'll land up to Wagner trailing long three on the
way that's off the side. No it is again, not

(32:31):
really her shot. She likes the trailing three, but she
was just way too far out. That was from almost
thirty feet and off the side.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
No good.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Wagner just trying to find her shot, and Oscotch is
gonna make a really tough tonight. Buyer wants another three,
this one from the wing, and she'll hit Wagner didn't
get out and defend it quick enough. Sixteen to eleven.
Hochcotch with the lead here on Stout one oweight to
go in the first quarter. Deeson in the front court again.
They just do not give you anything easy to the Titans.
Deeson gonna drive to the left elbow. It's off for Shafer.

(33:01):
She'll take at top of the key three. Good Sam
Shaper for three and it's sixteen to fourteen. Not Scotch
fifty seconds remain here in the first. Sam Shaffer, a
great three point shooter in her career, have been down
a little bit this season as Willie denies the pass.
Oh and in a late battle call on Willie who
stepped around the defender, and they say she got a

(33:21):
little bit of too much contact into the back. And
we've seen a lot of off ball kind of not
you know, driving to the bucket stuff called against the
Blue Devils. Only three thouts called so far, but two
of them have been basically off ball.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Kind of fouls.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
And Oshcosh, with a two point lead in the basketball,
reset the shot block to twenty forty one point five
left to play here in the first and buyer to
trigger it in from the baseline here for the Titans,
buyer looking, she'll get it out here to Allison forty,
who's checked into the game for Oscotch. Bayer drives to
the hoop perverse layup off the bottom of the rim.
No good tipped out by Geeson and it will stay

(33:58):
with oscott A. We'll reset the twenty and they should.
It did hit the rim on a shot attempt, and
so now a fourteen second differential between game and shot clock.
Thirty four seconds left here in the quarter and twenty
on the shock clock. Fire to trigger it in. It's
almost a five second violation. They'll go out to forty
at the top of the key, Wagner defends, Forny moves
to the right wing. Wagner all up in her business there.

(34:20):
She'll go to Pool at the top of the key
berg the freshman defends and a charge called offensive foul call?
Is this on the bail yep per second big call.
The two falls that have been called in this first
quarter have been against the leading score for Oscotch and
Casey Vail. She's gonna head of the bench. When will
we see her again? When we see her again in

(34:40):
the first half, that is a question. It is time
for the Blue Devils to go on the attack. Brad
Fisher just losing it on an official right now, Wow,
I mean again. It happens every time. Every time Oscotch
picks him a file, he will be in the year
of as many officials who will listen to him.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Anna much back to Wagner.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
She's open for three state. Take this seventeen sixteen lead.
Three seconds left in the corps Buyer half guard Eve.

Speaker 9 (35:05):
On the way, No duce, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
One point lead at the end of one from the
Blue Devils. This crowd is fired up. It is big,
it is fun, it is loud. Seventeen sixteen stout at the.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
End of one.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
We come back with a second quarter after this here
on the YAX Sports Network.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
You back here to Johnson Field House seventeen to sixteen
stout with the lead at the end of one, Blue
Devils shooting forty three percent in that first quarter, seven
of sixteen from the field and three of seven from
beyond the arc. Oscotch six of twelve from the field
and two of four from beyond the arc. The leading
score for Oshcotch Kate Hammel, and the leading score for

(36:21):
the Blue Devils is Amanda Geeson with five South spread
out the scoring quite a bit so is Oshkosh. Both
teams have five players who have scored in the first quarter.
Oscotch out rebounding sound eight to six at the moment,
they do have a little bit of a sized advantage today,
so that would not surprise you. As Oshcotshill start out
with the basketball, they go inside, bad pass, Amandon Gason's
gonna get a steal off a bad pass from Burney.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Amanda Geese is gonna take.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
It all the way coast to coast, and it's got
to be something there, either a jump paul or a foul. Instead,
they just call it a steal for Hardwick and Oshkoch
rips it away from Amanda Geese and they get the
ball back. Buyer trying to drive on Berg and she
will hand it back off here to seek a secord.
Excuse me, coage Checker, the freshman driving in with the
left hand wild shot no, and Reagan Sorenson with the rebound.

(37:06):
Sorenson has it. She'll take it coast to coast as
well with the right hand.

Speaker 9 (37:10):
Gotta be a foul.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
What in the world.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Hardwick gets another block there at least affects the shot.
Brat Fisher's still arguing about something, even though twice down
court stout Is probably had a pretty good legitimate case
for a foul and they didn't call it, and he's
still upset. Here's Secord off on the right now to
pool Pool looking to get it in the post, with

(37:32):
Stout denying everything out on the right wing. Now, she'll
hand off to Hardway five to shoot. Gotta get something
up here for Oscott. They throw it out of bounds and.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Reagan Sorenson didn't touch it. It's a turnover.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Fifth turnover the game for Oscott down has heerned it
over three times? And a much'll check in here for
Sam Shaper five on the floor from south our Berg, Wagner,
Much Sorenson and Deeson mary Berg will bring it up
here for the Blue Devils, hand off to Gieson off
on the left wing. Eight forty four left to go.
Second quarter. Still nobody has scored in this second quarter

(38:05):
as of yet. Seventeen to sixteen Stout leads and I'm
much on the right wing, handim much up top to
Geese giesa hand in her face there again a shcotsh
is just being really aggressive right now, just kind of
put in the end of the officials or that they
want to call some of these hand check fouls. Geeson
on the right wing with six to shoot, Geson gonna
drive to the hoop. It's good playoff, no but at
file this time and it's called on forty and Forny

(38:26):
immediately looking around saying, why me on me really Usello
Willy back into the game course Stout, She'll replace Reagan Sorenson.
Eight twenty four to go here in the second and
at the line is Amanda Geeson. Geeson on the season
seventy one percent from the line, top ten in the
league in free throw shooting, and she'll miss. Of course,

(38:49):
of course I said, I had to say it right,
Blue Devils as a squad shooting seventy one percent as
well as a team at the line.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Second on away from.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
Gson, that will go eighteen to sixteen. New Devils lead
eight twenty four to go. Second quarter, Oshkosh into the
front court here and they'll move it up to Kate Hummel,
who's had a good start to this game. The junior
from Jamesville, Craig Hummel, crosses over on Wagner to the
hoop way too strong rebound for Hardwick put back no
but a foul. And this is something that coach Iverson

(39:20):
talked about in the pregame said, hey, the weak side
rebound is part of this game. Sometimes they'll throw up
wild shots and they get Rosella Willie for her second
foul there as well, So she'll come out, Wagner will
stay in, and Soren's is gonna have to check right
back into the game. Pretty short rotation here for the
Blue Devils today, as you'd imagine against Oshkosh, they're trying

(39:40):
to get geared up for you know, their postseason run.
So are the Titans. Now the Titans are locked into one,
so they can you know, kind of mess around a bit.
They don't have to worry about much there, but you know,
I mean again, a loss for Oshkosh could potentially hurt
their chances to host mayby not in the first and
second round, but beyond that in the sweet sixteen if

(40:01):
they get that far. As the second free throw is
missed and Wagner gets the rebound. So when eighteen seventeen
lead here for stout great passing, the adda much.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
She got loose and got away on a max screen
underneath on the.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Left block because every pool got screened out of the
play and the Blue Devils score. It's twenty to seventeen South.
I'm all into the front court. She's got a really
nice first step. We've seen here today is in Mary
Berg defensive. Berg has been so great as a freshman.
To be able to defend as well as she does
in the wyak is impressive. A left wing three is
an airball man. A Geesen gets the rebound as Forty
was all out of sorts on that three pointer. Geezon,

(40:33):
full head of steam up to the elbow on the
left side.

Speaker 2 (40:36):
Note Ch trails over to Wagner. It's Sorenson on the
left wing. Solawrenson has not shot a lot from three
this season, gets around.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
The first defender now takes a big bump and that's
gotta be a block, and it is on forty and
she's gonna head to the line for two. Sorenson would
not be denied. Forty was just all out of position
there second foul as well on forty and now Sorenson
heading to the line. Miss Sorenson is with one fiul,

(41:04):
So even a block chart situation, you get a little
bit nervous on are they talking about whether this was
a shooting foul or not? You to coming over to
Brad Fisher, I think is arguing about whether this was
a shooting fowl or not. And the student section for
Stout is gonna give Brad Fisher the business. Brad Fisher's

(41:24):
gonna give the official Rerik Rain the business as well.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Again, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
I don't know why they're letting this conversation continue as
long as they are. Are they gonna review this? Now
you can ask for a review as a coach, but
if they don't overturn it, he'll burn a time out
as part of that. So it was seven twenty six
left to go here in the second quarter.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
I believe they're going to go for.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
A review, and I don't think it's turning into immediate
timeout either, but they are going to look to see
if this was a shooting foul. I believe, see if
we can get an explanation from the officials, just to
see what exactly they're checking for here and how they're
gonna administer this.

Speaker 8 (42:05):
Review.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
Yeah, yeah, and if you don't put out the gun into.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Time out, yeah, so if they don't, if they don't
overturn this call, it will be a timeout on Brad Fisher.
So you can ask for a review in this situation.
But again, if nothing gets overturned, it's a burned time out.
Now you have one time out basically, you know, to
burn in the first half, and I think Brad Fisher
seems like he's content to burn it in a situation.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
So that's the question. I think.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
My guess is they're reviewing as to whether it's a
shooting bowl or not. No, let's hold on one second. Okay,
So they apparently earlier in the play thought that Stout
committed an intentional or flagrant one fouls it's now called
in college basketball. They want to go back and check

(42:50):
for that. I'm not sure where it was, to be
honest with you, and I don't even know what to
tell you. To look for Lauren up there in our
video booth for a replay, because I'm not sure at
what point it even happen. But they're apparently looking for
an intentional foul on stout now a flagrant one foul
and not whether this was a shooting foul or not.

(43:11):
So regardless of this, it should stay with the Blue
Devils as two free throws coming up for Reagan Swords,
and the question is is whether Oshcotch is going to
get some free throws here as well. And I just
hope that the official somebody will come over and inform
us of what's going on. But again, that is one
of the new things if you're new again, if you're
just listening at home, that now in division three you
can review calls, you can review plays now on the monitor.

(43:36):
And so they are going to call both coaches over,
Brad Fisher and hand Iverson going into the middle here,
and officials are explaining what they saw, Tim Gilbertson, Tim Whitaker,
excuse me, just the one there. And so I'm guessing
they found nothing because they are going to charge Oshkosh

(43:57):
with a timeout.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
So is that the case? Nothing? Nothing, burger, nothing, all right?
So nothing has been called.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
You know, we had one game this year, a men's
game where veteran official K. C. Ecker, who was working it,
and he actually came over us and talked into our
crowd mic whenever there was a review, and he basically
explained it to it like you do in college and
in the NBA now in Division one, and I don't.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Think the rest of the officials will picked up on.
It'd be great if they did that.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
Came over to wherever the broadcast is, if it's on
the table, and let us know what's going on, like
they do in the NBA, WNBA and so on. Now,
But nonetheless, it's a nothing burger, and it is a
timeout now officially taken by Ash Gosh, and it's Reagan
Sorenson at the line, and she'll miss the first free throw.
So if nothing else, that ends up icing Regan Sorenson

(44:47):
to have her miss the first free throw. Blue Devil's
now one of three at the line. Second will go.
It's twenty one seventeen stout seven twenty six to go
in the second quarter. Whenever there's at officiating going on,
and we talk about it, and then I realized, I
haven't talked about the score in a while. It's a
four point style lead, seven to fifteen to go here
in the second quarter. Oh, that's got to be a

(45:08):
travel while the world's that not a travel Hoytink the
one driving in and she pulled the pivot foot. They
didn't call it. Here's Humble now out on the wing,
tend to shoot. Humble kicks it across boy Tink driving
to the elbow again she traveled.

Speaker 2 (45:21):
They didn't call it. It comes here to Humble.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
Humble into the lane, takes a tough shot, no good
rebound shape or.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
Stout comes away with it.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
I think that's deserved in that case, because there was
a couple of violations that didn't get called. Nonetheless, let's
hope everything settles in here, because I think the officials
have not had, you know, the best first fifteen minutes
of this game.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Wagner with the back gun.

Speaker 1 (45:41):
What a path from Shaper and what a finish up
on the right side of the lane. Wagner got open
and a back door pass and a beautiful easy layup
from Wagner twenty three to seventeen, Stout six thirty to
go here in the second quarter across it goes right
side to Rondeor Rondorf looking in the post looking nobody
home again. No Vail in there right now, She's got

(46:01):
two fouls.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
In the corner.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
Hoy Tank hoy Tink in the right corner, bounces out
to Lindsay Mallory. Lindsay the junior for the literal point,
dribbling at the top of the key, throws it up high,
caught underneath by Humble, reverse layup too strong, rebound Sorenson.
Sorenson with the renown. We kicked under six to go
here in the second quarter in south By six Blue

(46:24):
Devils have outscored Oscotch six to one. In the second quarter,
Shaeffer gets a screen from Sorenson on the top, moves
right now, reverses back left to Geeson. Geson puts it
on the deck, dribbles to the elbow, back out to
Schnaper on the right wing. Shafer up top to Wagner
nine to shoot. Sorenson falls over in the lane. Wagner
gonna try to drive. Wagner gets a scrollch He crashed
into Sorens and lost the ball. Hopefully Wagner okay, it's

(46:45):
kind of some friendly fire. Sorenson was trying to get
open now in transition, it's Lindsey. Lindsay in the post
left side there to Ron Dorf kicks it out to
Humble and they have to reset. Boy Tink trying to
drive on. Wagner poked away. Shafer went for the dive,
missed it back to Hoyton Tway Tink up top here
to Hummel ten to shoot five twenty to go in
the quarter Stout by six. Hummel looking goes left five

(47:07):
to shoot for Lindsay three with two they got to
get a shot off.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
They will right at the buzzards.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
And now all shock mock by relation and the Blue
Devils get the ball back with five Ton you go
on the second twenty three seventeen Blue Devils. Marry Berg
will now check back in for Stout, Sorenson getting arrest, Deeson, Shafer,

(47:33):
much Berg, and Wagner the five on the floor for Stout.
Geson across the timeline and find Shaper on the wing
right side there, trying to find much underneath much tripped
up as she went across the lane. It's Giason at
the top. Keeson moves it to Wagner on the right wing,
right up in her business there as Lindsay. Wagner stops
at the free throw line, goes back out to Shaper
in the post right side block too much in a

(47:55):
travel say she jumped before she dribbled and a turnover
here to oshsh Probably the right call there, but I
think with all the travels the other end, the Blue
Doubles want them to be called that way as well.
Four forty five to go in the second quarter, Oshkosh
with a basketball. This is Olivia Argyll, junior from Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

(48:17):
She'll get it on the right block. She's fouled by
Wagner and a give and go pass. Nice offense there
from Oscotch and they will head to the line for
two free throws. With Stout up by six. Do not
expect this to be a terribly high scoring game. This
is a game that's probably gonna be played in the
high fifties. Low sixties would be my guess. Unlus, the
Blue Devils really get the offense roll out here, but

(48:37):
this is going to be defense at a premian. Offensive
premium measold saying lots are really good defense. As the
first free throw is good from Argyll. Argoll off the bench.
He only averages five minutes a game, and those free
throws are her first two of the season and she
makes both of them. Twenty three to nineteen. Stout with
four thirty three left to play here in the second quarter,

(48:58):
Sam Schaeffer across the time line is she'll bounce it
here for Much on the left elbow, Much hesitates, drives
into the lane, gets.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Buck DoD on Aaron. She will miss the shot, but
she gets the foul on Sarah Hardwick.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
And part of this is Stout also getting some foul
trouble on the starters for Ojkosh as well. Brad Fisher
will plead his case again ken I think it was
a foul, but this might be the most legit case
that he has, as it was pretty good defense from Hardwick,

(49:30):
but there was definitely some separation between her and Much.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Much's first free throw.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
Is good twenty four to nineteen Stout four twenty three
ag here in the second quarter. It seems as if
we'd blown through the media timeout during that review, which
would have been good information. But nonetheless it's all right.
We'll keep her owing Much second free throw rattle is
in six point Stout league. Here's argyll if it comes

(49:57):
to buyer Buyer on the high left, Alyssa loder Myers
checked into the game, the other senior for Stout defending.
Now a good drive here right side of foul that's
and one good first step from Olivia Argyll and she'll
head to the line for one twenty five to twenty
one stout in a three point plate chance for the
five to ten junior from Dodgeville's ragging sorens and ready

(50:18):
to check back in. And we take a look at
the replay here. Good call, I mean, a good play,
I should say. Mary Berg gets a call for the
second foul. It's just a good first step from Argyll
and kind of puts the defender in this case, Mary
Berg in a bad spot and you're always kind of recovering.
Argoll misses the second rebound. Amanda Geeson Hardwick could have
been called for a foul over the back there, but

(50:38):
the officials let it go. And that's much to the
happiness of Oshcosh.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
And I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Here's Sorenson on the high left looking for a screen
and said dribbles and bounces off to Schaeffer on the
right wing. Schaeffer looking for that cross court pass. It's
not there, Lodermer, good catch inside from Sorensen. Hardwick defends it,
she misses the shot, catches on the block, throws it
out to Amanda Geeson.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
Geeson what a passing the corner much squares up for three.

Speaker 9 (51:05):
Touchdown lead for the.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
Blue Devils, twenty eight to twenty one, three thirty eight
left to go.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
Second quarter. Nana Munch with a big three in the corner.
Here's Byer in the front court. Biggest lead of the.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
Game for Stout.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
Buyer right up on the sideline, gets it off for Rondorf.
Rondorf back off on the left wing. Now here for Argyll.
Argyll looking to drive to the hoop. Potentially they clear
out for shape for defense. Arlow gets a screen. Once
it's put the defense both out of there and Keathon's
got the seal. Keeson has Sorenson with her bouts.

Speaker 9 (51:35):
Pass per sorens in the layup, Yes.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Coding a twenty one stout three h five to go.
Second quarter, big run here for the Blue Devils. Scouts
made four of their last five field goals to take
a nine point lead. Buyer out top to Rondorf. She'll
take a three. Good an answer from Rondorf. Not really
a rhythm three, just kind of hold up for three

(52:00):
and hit it.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
So sagged off a little bit. Here's Sorensen driving all
the way to the hoop. The layup, No but a fowl.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Reagan Sorensen just taken over two forty two to go
here in the second, that's Buyer with the foul, and
we'll see Kage Seker and Kate Hummel check in Farage
Gosh Devils will also bring back in Lexie Wagner, Rosella,

(52:28):
Willie and Mary Berg will come in for Sorenson after
these free throws, first from sorens rolls off Man Sorenson
with five points. Since she's now one of three at
the line. That is very unlike ringing. Sorenson, a career
seventy percent free throw shooter, and she makes the second barely.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
So our old friend, what are you all calling everything?
Free throw?

Speaker 1 (52:52):
Kissed everything A couple pieces arim with glass and finally
fell through thirty one to twenty four stout two forty
to go here in the second, oscotsh basketball whole. Those
have led nine to nine just a few moments ago.
Humble with the basketball here for Ascott. I'm all off
on the high right Erg defense, good job denying the
pass there that our goal was looking to get off

(53:13):
on the left wing. This is Secer Secord now returns
it for Rondorf on the left wing. Rondorf's still looking
to get inside.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
She cannot.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
Will go up to Argyll at the top of it.
He drives, Ana Much defends well. Return pass goes out
to Secord. She's got to shoot two seconds on the
shot clock and she knocks it through, and that is
ashcotsh basketball to a tee. Score a bucket. We won
two seconds left on the shot clock. You can play
great defense for twenty five seconds and they'll still burn
you thirty one to twenty six and a technical foul
I think has been called on Anna Much for a flop.

(53:47):
Like Anna Much just got teed up for a flop. Wow,
they called Anna Much for a flop off the ball?
Can we see that one more time? Lauren, I just
missed the play. Was trying to hear the official there. Oh,
she got a hand in the back. She clearly got
pushed by Secker and their feet got tangled up too. Like,

(54:12):
I don't think she's necessarily even trying to draw a
call there. She's trying to get to a spot and
she got pushed in the back. By second. I mean,
that is about as clear as you can get. Both
free throws are good by rondor from the other end
thirty one.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
To twenty eight.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
Stout should have the ball? A point of interruption here
or are they not for a flop? Apparently you give
it back to Oscotch. It's not point of interruption, so
it will be I guess it'll be Oscotch basketball, not
point of interruption there, And so I think there's some
clarification on how that a flop call is adjudicated, maybe

(54:49):
whether it's a personal file in addition to a technical
as well. And they want a little bit of clarification
here at the table two one one left to play
here in the second Stout thirty one.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Oscotch twenty one Oscotch, She's gonna have the ball.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
I thought they'd do point interruption and keeps out with
a basketball, but that's not the case. That might be
a flavor one situation, but not.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:09):
Yeah, So it is a team foul as well. So
Stout's picked up their fourth foul as a team. So
both teams are in the bonus now, and is somebody
taking a time out? I don't think anybody's taking the
time out. They just wanted to clarify something at the table.
So Oshkosh gets the ball as well. Now, Lanna much
also I believe gets a personal foul out of it

(55:31):
as well. No she does not, so that is not
the case. It is just it's that class B technical
that they've got now, so it's weird. It doesn't count
as a personal but it counts as a team foul,
I'm told. So, we're under two minutes left to play.
South had a nine point just a few moments ago.
It's spent pet to three just like that. Here's a
drive by Hummel on the left short corner, cut off
nicely there by Wagner Humble them goes.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
In the back cord and I'll be a turnover to Stout.

Speaker 1 (55:56):
Nobody home there on the back end, and the Blue
Devils get it back. Stout's gonna check in a few
players here, Geesa at Sorenson back into the game, Berg
and Willie checking out. Boy, we've seen some interesting stuff
here in this first half. This is gonna be a
good I mean, if these two can meet up in
the championship game of the WYAC, it's gonna be mussy, right,

(56:18):
he'll be at Oschcosh, but still, I mean, it's gonna
be a lot of fun. Here's Much at the right elbow,
back out to Wagner. Now off on the left wing.
Here for Sorenson one thirty to go in the quarter
or in the first half, I should say thirty one
to twenty eight. Here in favor of Stout, Much catches.
She goes up off the window. No good, try to
tip it out, couldn't and it's into the hands of
rondor Pharash Gosh play and then Argyll falls over in

(56:40):
the front court and Stout student section wants a flop.
She just tripped. Not gonna be a flop of that situation.
Here's Pool in the right corner. If the students are
gonna give her the business. Up top here it's a
secer second guarded by Much, Secker trying to drive. Much
defends beautifully. Back up top to Argyll. Argo is seven
to shoot off on the right wing. Here for Pool,

(57:00):
Pool backs it back out three to shoot with two
with one, that's gonna be a shock block violation.

Speaker 9 (57:05):
It's a shock clock violation. It's gonna be a shock
block violation.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
They're gonna review this for whether it's a foul or
a shock block violation. I mean that ball clearly was
not gone on. The question is whether the foul happened
before the clock expired, and so you're gonna get a
real interesting situation here as well. Thirty one to twenty
eight Stout fifty three point six. Man, I tell you what,

(57:32):
this has been a tough a tough half to officiate
from that perspective, because there's been a number that's been reviews.
There's been a lot of weird kind of rule things
happening here as well. It's been It's a tense game, right,
You've got two teams that are really, really good, and
the officials again want to make sure they get everything right.
That ball clearly was not as if we can get
a replay of that Lauren again from the end of
the shot clock there, uh as well, but that ball

(57:55):
clearly did not get off in time and you can see, yeah,
still on the hand, that should be a shock block
violation because I don't think Geeson, I mean, it's hard
to even argue that Geeson make contact there. But I
don't know, can you slow it down anymore? Is that
as as it goes?

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Lauren?

Speaker 1 (58:09):
I'm not really sure I'm making Lauren work. Hey, Lauren's
got to work hard today too. Just like the officials do.
There's a great look here and you can see zero
right there, and yeah, it's clearly still on the hand,
and I think it's before the contact, and it looks
like it's before Tim Gilbertson puts his arm in the
air as well. I'd imagine this is going to get overturned.

(58:31):
A good job by our camera crew there to slow
it all down. It's very clearly still in the hand
of the shooter when the clock hit zero on the
shock clock. The question becomes is when I think the
foul gets called? And so maybe I'm hoping someone comes
over to give us some explanation from the officials, just
so we kind of know what the call is when
they finally call it. If it's a shock clock violation,

(58:54):
we'll know, But if it's not, then maybe a little
bit of clarification to see how that works will be helpful.
What a weird start to this game, oh Man thirty
one twenty eight lead for Stout. Stout has outscored Ochcosh
fourteen to twelve in the second quarter overall, South shooting
forty seven percent from the field, four of eight from
beyond the arc, and Ochcosh nine of twenty one overall,

(59:18):
three of seven from beyond the arc.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
They're still they're gonna second opinion. I have to imagine,
can we play it one more time? Lauren? Is that possible?

Speaker 1 (59:25):
I'd have to imagine they're looking to see when Tim
gilbertson the lead officials arm win the air, because they
don't have audio with this as well.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
So when does it hit zero? Zero?

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Hits right there, and yeah, his arm is not gone
in the air yet. That should be a pretty clear
shot block violation there as well. The foul had not
been called yet before the shot clock violation, So I
mean that's about and we have a very clear view
of it. A great job by our lead camera person
there of having the clock in the viewpoint so that
you can see everything that's.

Speaker 2 (59:54):
Part of it.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
I mean that should very clearly. This shouldn't be taking this.
I don't know why they're talking about it this long.
It should just be a call, let's make it, let's
move on. But we're taking a lot of time, which
always makes me think that it's gonna go against a
team that's asking for it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
So shooting foul, how let you fall?

Speaker 7 (01:00:19):
How?

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
I mean, we just.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Looked at a replay where the shot clocks. Tim Gilbertson's
hand did not go in the air before it hit zero. Also,
the shot didn't get up before it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Hit zero as well.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
And I have absolutely no idea how to explain that
to you. So a man of geese and gets called
for a foul here at the line? Is Kate hump
or pardon me? Is a pool? Rather, she'll hit the
first free throw thirty one nine Stout. I do not
understand that at all. I guess we'll contemplate it. We'll

(01:00:53):
think about it during halftime and try to figure it out.
Second free throw good thirty one thirty Stout. I was
leading thirty to nineteen a few moments ago. So it
is a nine to one run my thirty to twenty
one exwo me. So a nine to one run here
for Oscotch to get back to a one point game,
South could go quick and get a two for one
here forty seconds left in the half.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Sorenson on the left.

Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
Side of the lane fade away two gets a beautiful
role thirty three thirty Stout leads, and now about a
two to three second differential between game and shockblock. So
Oscotch's gonna have to shoot before the buzzer. Here Hummel
started by Sorenson. Sorenson's got just one crawl, so she
might be aggressive. She's staring at her eyes. That's beautiful

(01:01:38):
saying to see which way she's gonna move. Tend to shoot.
Hummell just dribbling it out. Here's Hardwick at the top
of the key. Hardwick moving right and almost threw it away.
Grab my Hummel. Two to shoot with one with zero,
that's a shock block.

Speaker 9 (01:01:51):
Viol agent. It's gotta be Paul.

Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
It is thirty three to thirty stout, no argument there.
Two point six to go on the quarter. You're gonna
have to go to the length of the court. Here
Aman de Geeson will catch it. Shaper, you're gonna take
the half court heat that's off the mark.

Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
That's the end of the half.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
That's a really well played a half. Again, we've seen
a lot of controversy. Both teams have been upset with
the officiating. We've seen some wild things happen in just
the first half. If that is any indication, you gotta
hang around for the second half. Gonna be good. Thirty
three to thirty start with the lead at halftime. We'll
take an extended break. We'll come back with half time stats,
other women's scores, and much more to more right after
this in a bit, after this extended break and twelve

(01:02:31):
minutes here on the YAX Sports Network.

Speaker 12 (01:02:34):
Sometimes I get asked, Benjamin, would you sell this nice
used vehicle to your parents? I sure would, because almost
seventy percent of all our nice pre owned vehicles are certified,
and not just forwards.

Speaker 13 (01:02:45):
That means you get worry free driving coverage for twelve
months or twelve thousand miles.

Speaker 12 (01:02:49):
I'm Matt and I'm Benjamin from oldclaire Ford Lincoln Quicklane.
We sold a lot of nice used vehicles last month,
probably because we slashed the prices and offered no payments
for up to three months on improved credit.

Speaker 13 (01:03:00):
Now through March first, you can still get no payments
for three months, and we have some sweetheart deals.

Speaker 12 (01:03:05):
We have twenty seven vehicles under seventeen thousand dollars.

Speaker 13 (01:03:09):
We have seventy four vehicles under twenty seven thousand dollars. Boy,
do we see a lot of these last month.

Speaker 12 (01:03:14):
Before you buy a used vehicle anywhere. In my opinion,
this Gray twenty twenty two Ford Bronco is one of
the nicest in the country. She has a soft top
and just thirteen thousand miles well.

Speaker 13 (01:03:25):
Clear ford leggy quickly in better vehicles, better coverage, and
a better experience.

Speaker 12 (01:03:29):
That's our promise.

Speaker 17 (01:09:42):
The five hundred and fifty foot high structure was first
proposed in seventeen eighty three. On July fourth, eighteen forty eight,
the cornerstone was laid. Work on the project was interrupted
by political quarreling in the eighteen fifties and construction ceased
entirely during the American Civil War. Finally, in eighteen six,
Congress pass legislation for completion of the monument.

Speaker 21 (01:10:04):
Jumping way ahead.

Speaker 17 (01:10:05):
This week in nineteen eighty, the Miracle on Ice and

underdog US hockey team, made up of college players, defeats

Bob Coosey of the Celtics scores twenty four points before

(01:12:13):
two thousand, three hundred and sixty eight fans in an
eighty eight to sixty seven win. This week in nineteen
sixty eight, Wilt Chamberlain becomes the first player to score

in nineteen eighty five, and what would become a famous
sports image, Indiana coach Bob Knight is ejected five minutes
into the Hoosiers seventy two sixty three loss for due

(01:12:35):
when he throws a chair across the court. This week
in nineteen ninety, Dale Earnhardt blows a tire with one
mile remaining in the Daytona five hundred, giving Derek Cope
the biggest upset in stock car racing history. This week
in nineteen ninety three, the West defeats the East one
thirty five one point thirty two in overtime in the
NBA All Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah's John

(01:12:58):
Stockton arm alone become the first players from the same

And this week in twenty sixteen, at the fifty eighth

race history by just one hundredth of a second over
Martin Truex Junior.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
I've got chills it my spine.

Speaker 13 (01:13:20):
That was a crazy.

Speaker 16 (01:13:22):
And that's just some of what happened this week in
sports history. The weekend Sports Time Capsule on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (01:14:37):
Heh, we welcome you back in here to Johnson Field House.
Do we men score thirty three to thirty stout with
the lead on Oshkosh at the end of the first half.

Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
In women's basketball, in Stock is the nineteenth ranked team
in the country coming into today's play. Oshkosh's seventh ranked
team in the country coming into today's play.

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
These are the top two teams in the YAC.

Speaker 1 (01:14:55):
Good chance they'll meet up next week in the YAC
Camp Prince Tournament Championship se if that happens. But nonetheless,
the Blue Devils have had a great first half Animach
with eleven points in the first half, Sorenson with eight,
six from Amanda Geese and the five from Lexi Wagner.
Stout has four different players who have made threes in
that first half as well as the air, four of eight
from beyond the arc and five of eight at the line.

(01:15:17):
For Oshkosh, they shoot forty two percent in that first half,
nine of twenty one, three of seven from beyond the arc,
and two threes made by Rondorff won by fire. Those
are the players who made him there. Eight for Rondorff,
she's the leading score. Casey Vale was limited to only
seven minutes as she picked up her second foul early
in the second quarter, and that is what kind of
limited her ability to produce in the first half as well.

(01:15:41):
All Right, so that's your score line here. We'll talk
more about the stats in just a moment. Let's go
around the WIAC and women's basketball. The men's games happening
later today again, the men need to win for Stout
to get MWAII tournament later today at Oscosh at seven
o'clock twenty seven to twenty two. Whitewater with the lead
at home against UWO Blair River falls with a forty
to thirty lead against Black with seven thirty two love

(01:16:01):
to go in the third quarter of their game in
Stevens Point with a thirty seven to twenty six lead
over Lacrosse. That is an important game to kind of
figure out seeding and also potentially, I mean we talk
about five teams maybe getting in the in the NCAA
tournament from the YAC it's probably gonna be three, maybe four.
The four team is either going to be Lacrosse or
Stevens Points. So that's why that game is so big,
and Point has an eleven point lead at the moment

(01:16:23):
there as well. Hey, all day, you can tune into
Moose Country one oh six point seven for wrestling updates.
There should be a new wrestling update to coming in
at five o'clock. I do believe there as well, So
plenty of wrestlers from around the area who are trying
to make it to the state championship next weekend, and
make sure you're tuned in there for all the updates
that you need from me. Since I just recorded so

(01:16:43):
so it'll be playing at Moosi Willie. Five o'clock will
be our next update and they'll have another ones at
seven and eight eight black tonight around Moose Country number
two that will be at the men's hockey game Game
two and potentially Game three of the YAK Tournament matchup
against herb Balls that will start pre game around six
forty five tonight, and so looking.

Speaker 2 (01:17:01):
Forward to that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
Blue Devils ount rebounded Oshkosh thirteen to eleven. In that
first half, we saw a lot of weird things happen.
We saw a weird situation with the shot clock near
the end of the half there as well where.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Stout had a foul called on him.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
We saw a flop call on end a much at
one end the resulted in a class bat technical foul.
A lot of weird stuff happened in that first half.
Hopefully they just get to basketball and we get a
really good finish to this game. Here today we know
Oshcosh and Stout will get a buye in the first
round of the YAK Tournament.

Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
They'll both play at home. Stout will be the two seed,
Oshcosh the one.

Speaker 1 (01:17:34):
Seed, both playing home on Thursday with a chance to
get to the YAC championship game and get the auto
bid for the YAK going into the NCAA Tournament.

Speaker 2 (01:17:41):
The following week as well. So that's how things set up.

Speaker 1 (01:17:45):
And as we get ready for the second half here
on Senior Day, it's uh to be the starters for
both teams. Checking it out Casey Baile back in. She
didn't play much in the first half. We'll see how
she adjusts.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Back to the gameplay and the game flow here in
the second Ready to go, Oh, it's gonna be a
good finish.

Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
Happy to have you along with us here on the
Yx Sports Networking news dock wmq Amadadi ven Anie translator
W two nine two EG one oh six point three
FMO player hy Our radio station. Sorenson from the wing
takes a bump and then she'll go to the line.
Hardwick bumpster just kind of ran into her space and
bumped her out of there, and Sorenson going up with
the buckets.

Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
She will get two shots.

Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
Stout leading thirty three to thirty just eleven seconds into
the third quarter. Both of these teams have a penchant
for a bit, putting up big runs in the third quarter.
They are outscoring teams like crazy. In the third quarter.
We sucked out do it against the Oh Claire. We
assume do it against a number of teams. Oscotch was
I believe tied or down in midweek this week in

(01:18:44):
their midweek game, and then ended up just going on
a blitz creak in.

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
The third quarters.

Speaker 1 (01:18:50):
There's a nice layup from Hummel on the other end
after a couple of main free throws some Reagan Sorens
in thirty five to thirty two stout with the lead
Sorenson top catch on on the left wing there is
Hardwick will defend around. They'll come here to Wagner out
on the edge on the right wing. She wants to drive.
She'll go to the free throw line. She'll head out
into Sorenson. She'll take the two and she'll hit it

(01:19:10):
from the right block. Thirty seven thirty two stout. So
these two teams are used to scoring a lot of
points in the third that's when they do their most damage.
So who's gonna break today? That's the question. Veil on
the right wing, guarded by Geeson. She won't choot from
out there in all likelihood. Here's a drive from Vando,
got cut off by Wagner on the right side. Back left.
Now to Hummel. I'm a high left. She'll drive out

(01:19:32):
between the circuits. I'm a little driving on Shaper stops
cuts her off. Good job there, gets it out right
wing to Rondor five seconds to shoot back in the corner.
They gotta go up top. Veil gonna throw up a
wild three off the liar, no rebound. Geeson again not
really her shot. The shot clock was expiring, so she
had to get the shot off much, enters it into
Sorenson off balance, tries to tip it out too much.

(01:19:53):
They wanted to foul on Hardwick. Didn't get it. Veil
with the basketball up. It comes to Hummel. Hummel on
the left. Now moves it off on the right wing.
Here Rondorf for the ballpake drive. Schaeffer got in the
tangled up with her. They get it off on the
left wing. Now for pool Pool driving on Sorenson. Pool
with the right hand top play. What a drive and
she scores thirty seven thirty four stout. Wagner gets the

(01:20:17):
ball into the front cour here, picked up very quickly
by Pool, Pool to Aparton, me Aigner to Sorenson too
much back to Wagner.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
She's open for three and we're.

Speaker 1 (01:20:26):
Gonna get a moving screen on Sorenson to free her
up her second foul call in this game. Ward out
the lane, says the official. I think it's probably the
right claw. Didn't really see it because it was off ball,
but you saw an O Scotch player go flying, and
Sorenson was moving down lane as well. Regardless, not a
big argument there from Stout. Thirty seven to thirty four.

(01:20:48):
Stout leads eight minutes left to play here in the
third great give and go catch. Wagner got a piece
of that one from Rondorf, and then they probably late
foul on Wagner, but it looked like she got ball.
We'll see the replay here in a moment, so I
think it was just a delayed call for the shot.
So I think they were just making sure that it

(01:21:09):
was the right call. Wagner is called for hard to
tell on that replay. Well, it looked like in real
time it was a block. Not the case though. I
free throw good from Rondo. One of the things Osh
Gosh does really well is they make free throws at
a really big clip seventy one percent. They don't miss.
I mean, they take advantage of those opportunities and they

(01:21:31):
make them both there. Thirty seven to thirty six, Stout
they try to get to the line that's part of
their game. Nice hesitation for much as she dribbles across
the lane left side, now back to Wagoner on right,
to Geeson in the right corner, to Shafer, Shaffer trying
to skip it across for much she'll make to catch
veil defending nice pass inside. Geeson goes up and gets
at the float right over top of Rondor.

Speaker 2 (01:21:52):
Thirty nine, thirty six stout seven to thirty to go.

Speaker 1 (01:21:55):
Third quarter, both teams exchanging blows here in this third,
no one's really taken an advantage as of yet. Hummele
done the right wing of three for the tie.

Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
Good.

Speaker 1 (01:22:05):
Now it's Rondorf for three and we're tied at thirty nine.
Like we said, these two teams play really well in
the third, and I would not be surprised if you
start seeing some buckets rain in for both squads. Thirty nine.
All starts up by three at half time. It's downside.
Here's much at the top much driving left side of
the lane. Jumps to the block, bounces out to Wagner
ball fake from two now a step back from the elbow.

(01:22:27):
That's too strong. The long rebound rolls out to Pool
in Oshkosh. Oshkosh has a chance to take the lead.
They have not led since twenty four seconds left in
the first quarter. Deflected passed by Schaffer into Veil. Veil
kicks it out of three from Rondorf.

Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
No good. It rattled out much with the rebound for Stout.

Speaker 1 (01:22:44):
Stall looking a little bit gas here coming back as
they find the trailer Wagner, she steps into a three.
You have to cut her Wagoner in transition. Forty two
thirty nine Stout six thirty left to go. Third quarter,
come on high wide left side now dribbles between the circles.

Speaker 9 (01:23:02):
Followay from a doll on us.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Gosh, see who they get here? Foul call's gonna go
against Casey Vail. It's her third.

Speaker 1 (01:23:13):
Pig child call there and another off ball foul on Veil.
Who just canna get a rhythm in this game? Stout
forty two Oshkosh thirty nine, six twenty three to go.
As Vail will head to the bench with three fouls.
Here is Berg on the right wing, back into the game.
First out, the freshman looking inside. She'll get it too much,

(01:23:33):
kicks it out in the corner a geese and three
go Amanda Geese and huge smile on the faces. She
heads back down Cork forty five thirty nine stout six oh.

Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
Four to go third quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:23:45):
Here's Hummel Humble Pool in the corner, cool back out
top to rond Or. Frond Or trades off with secer
Secord trying to drive left side of the lane, guarded
by Willie. Beautifully done. She got the stop and the
rebound on the miss. Here's Shafer in transition. Schafer stops.
Shaffer looks for the trailer, finds Geeson geson right side
to Willie. Willy on the wing looking for help. She'll

(01:24:08):
go to Shaffer between the circles. Kick it across the
Berg on the left wing Berg looking into the post.
So find Willy out at the left elbow. Willie now
Dyana Much eleven to shoot. Anda Much looking to do
it herself here to the free throw line, gets cut
off by Hardwick. Fade away off the glass. No Hardwick
at the rebound in the lane. Hardwore gonna dribble it
herself and now gets it to Pool and transition. Pool

(01:24:29):
bounces outride left guarded by Shaffer up top to Hummel.
Hummel driving on Berg got shoulder into her, missed the shot,
Hardwick tipped it, and we're gonna say berg was stepping
out of bounds when she grabbed the ball. So it'll
be a new twenty here for Osh Goosh Stot's gonna
get Lodermeyer, Sorenson, and Wagner into the game as Geson,

(01:24:50):
Shafer and Much are gonna check out five ten to
go in the third stop. By six forty five thirty nine,
Oshkosh has it the front court on the baseline.

Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
They trigger it in.

Speaker 1 (01:25:03):
You'll get it in in the left corner, and a
good job by Wagner to defend a long two oup
the side of the backboard. No good from Buyer, and
Wagner gets the rebound. Here's berg Berg floating to the
left wing, up top to Wagner, Wagner guarded by Buyer.
She'll go over those Lodermyer now will stout. Lodermyer kicks
it across to Willie. Willy wasn't opening enough to shoot

(01:25:25):
that three on the left wing. She'll now pick up
her dribble, looking for Lodermeyer flashing across the lane. Instead,
it's Wagner now Sorenson on the right side, Sarnson puts
it on the deck, drive to the hoop and it charges.

Speaker 2 (01:25:35):
Oh look, yum it restricted area. That's a question.

Speaker 1 (01:25:39):
They're gonna get Sorenson for her third and then will
send us to the media. Time out forty five thirty
nine Stout four thirty nine left to play, will take
a break.

Speaker 2 (01:25:48):
We'll come back right after this on the YAX. What's Network?

Speaker 19 (01:25:52):

Speaker 1 (01:26:26):
Calling back in here to Johnson Field House forty five
thirty nine Stout with the lead on Oshcotch for thirty
nine left to play in the third quarter. Stouts field
goal percentage up to fifty three percent in this game
sixteen of thirty and six of ten from beyond the art.
Wagner and Geeson both have two threes made as well.
In this game, Who Devil's Out rebounding Oshcosh seventeen to fourteen,

(01:26:46):
Oscot shooting forty one percent from the field. Rondo at
the leading score there as well. It's talking hearing between
h Or during the break. Some of the file calls
and some of the explanations we've heard her for some
of those calls as well have been a little bit perplexing.
Unfortunately for Stout, Riggan Swordson has picked up her third
foul on a charge call. There's no real argument from

(01:27:08):
Stout that the only question would have been whether the
defender was in the restricted area or not.

Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
They say she was out of it. It looked like
she likely was by a good couple inches.

Speaker 1 (01:27:18):
And so Sorenson's gonna have to be on the bench
here for the next probably four and a half minutes
at least, and so Stout's gonna have to lock down
on all sides of the ball.

Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
Here's Humble getting a screen. Moving screen is called.

Speaker 1 (01:27:30):
Secer got into Willie and knocked her over and into
Stout basketball pig screen put on by sec Secor, a
hometown kid from Oshkosh West six foot and she.

Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
Put that body right into her.

Speaker 1 (01:27:45):
There's Mary Berg on the high right, Berg looking for
Lodermeyer flashing across. Bad pass for Wagner. Hardwick grabs it
in the steel for Ashcot, So a bad possession there
for Stout. Here's Hummel i'm ot floating to the right wing,
guarded by Geese and man man defense. Here from south
off to Bayer in the left wing, Buyer long pass
into the right corner and open three and a good

(01:28:06):
three drained there by Secker after picking up that offensive
foul forty five forty two south, three point fifty three
left to play Here in the third, it's some man
to Geeson at the top of the keys. Geeson wants
to drive. Geeson loses the basketball. Bad idea there. She
had a defender and forty right in front of her.
Now Forny with the basketball for the Titans. Corny will

(01:28:26):
be guarded by Geeson as well the other way. Buyer
at the top. Buyer trying to drive on Wagner cuts
her off nicely. Back up top to Secer. Secker trying
to drive in on Willy and Willie reached in no
call and Stuft might have got away with one there.
Loder Meyer gets the rebound up to Berg, Schaefer and
much ready to check back in here at the next
dead ball, here is Geeson, Geeson on the left wing

(01:28:48):
up top between the wheels to Berg. They switched it
across right now to Lodermeyer, back to Geeson. Geeson, wanting
to drive, crosses over goes into the lane with the
right hand.

Speaker 2 (01:28:55):
It's blocked, blocked.

Speaker 1 (01:28:56):
Out of bounds by Secker and will be stout basketball
on twelve to shooting three to nine left.

Speaker 2 (01:29:02):
Here in the third stout forty five I scotsh forty.

Speaker 1 (01:29:04):
Two sound has three players in double figures. Sorenson has twelve,
much as eleven. Geeson has eleven, but Soreninson has three
fouls and is on the bench.

Speaker 2 (01:29:15):
Three h nine to go.

Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
Here in the third inbounds too much much blocked out
of mounds by Secker. She gets another one much to
the jump shot on the inbound and Secker was there
to help out Sucker. Yeah, they got her listed at
six foot she looks like she's closer to six to two.
That wingspan out there. Shaffer gets it into Geeson on
the left. Flock on the inbound Geeson trying to spin
in the lane, goes up to the left hand Secker
with another block. Geeseon with five to shoot. It takes contact.

Speaker 9 (01:29:38):
Still get the goal we to play will not be tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:29:42):
We're going there into geeseon forty seven forty two stout.

Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
Two fifty to go. Third quarter.

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
What a play. Here's Hummel. Hummel to Secer at the top,
guarded by loder Meyer. Secker try to drive on loder Meyer.
Secker stops on the right side of the lane, now
backs it back out to forty over the pool pool.
Looking inside, Hardwick catches right block going up.

Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
I'd have traveled. No calls.

Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
She gets the floader to go forty seven forty four stout.
It looked like she changed that pivot put inside, but
no call to twenty five left turn in the third
Shafer off on the left wing, the loder Myer in
the corner.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
Sodermarer posts up much inside. Foul call.

Speaker 1 (01:30:19):
Foul call on the entry pass on forty fourth foul
on oschcotsh here in the quarter, so soal will be
shooting free throws. The rest of this third quarter to
twenty left to play. Here in the third stout forty
seven Oshkosh forty four and player game a good boost
off the bench. Our goal is checked into the game

(01:30:39):
here for Oshkosh. Schaeffer goes into Much here in the
left corner on the inbounce on the baseline Wagner ball
fake from three, She drives all the way. Hardwick deflects
it out of bound, sixteen to shoot another block Oshkosh,
showing off why they are.

Speaker 2 (01:30:52):
So good defensively.

Speaker 1 (01:30:53):
You get into the lane and you don't make an
extra pass, make an extra move. They're getting a block
Much with the ball fake from behind, she couldn't get
them black this time put Secker and Much knocks it
through off the window.

Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
Forty nine forty four stout two oh six to go.
Third quarter. Back in fourth play.

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
It's sixteen to fourteen Stout outscoring Oshcotch in this quarter.
Here's Hardwick on the left wing. Good deflection thereby Willie
on the entry pass in to Secer. Secker will inbound
from the sideline near side as you watch it home
and she will get it in here to Pool and

(01:31:31):
Pool will set things up fourteen to shoot Pool between
the circles, crosses over Wagner defense. Oh bet, how they're
gonna get Wagner for a push here? Pretty good defense
from Wagner. She might have just got a little bit
of her arm into her.

Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
That's good.

Speaker 1 (01:31:44):
Seat out of bounds. It goes to Oshosh. Now both
teams will be in the bonus.

Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
That was the fourth on Stout the final one forty
eight of this quarter. That is also the third on Wagner.

Speaker 1 (01:31:53):
So Sorenson and Wagner now both with three fouls, the
top two leading scorers for the Blue Devils. So Wagner
will check out as well. So you got Much and
Geeson in there, the other two leading scores for something.
Not a lot of difference between those four this season.
There's abdelaal off on the right side for Pool. Pool
was sixteen to shoot up top to Hardwick. Hardwick guarded
by Geeson. Hardwick trying to hand off there to Argyll,

(01:32:17):
and she will. Argyle drives upside the lane, packs it
back up top to Pool. Pool drives poked away by
much Much has to steal with one thirty to go
here in the quarter. Much gonna slow things down, hands
off to Berg.

Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
She's up in.

Speaker 9 (01:32:28):
Three Buschman, No, no, nobody, best thing. Fifty two forty four.

Speaker 1 (01:32:35):
Blue Devils, one fifteen to go in the third her
first shot of the game, and what a shadow was.
And then they get Berg for a file on the
other end as Tummell was driving, Coursis are trying to
tighten things up a little too handsy there for mary Berg,
who also has called for her third foul. So you've
got Sorensen, Wagner and Berg with three forty and Veil

(01:32:59):
with three. Farashka USh one twelve to go here in
the third quarter. First free throw good, So they just
do not miss if they do not make mistakes. That's
why they're the seventh frank team in the country. That's
why they've only lost two times this season. Second one
good as well. One tend to go here in the
third Both free throws good. Fifty two forty six stout

(01:33:24):
as we tick it under one minute left to play
in the third quarter, shafferd of much at the top
of the key, guarded closely by Secker.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Oh and there's a big foul there.

Speaker 1 (01:33:31):
I don't think she saw it, hopefully and a much
as okay, Hardwick just running right into her with.

Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
A knee looking at her jaw.

Speaker 1 (01:33:41):
She just asked Sam Shaeffer, She said, do I still
have all my teeth? And Sam Shaeffer just started cracking up.
I think she's still laughing. Oh Man, Hannah Much. She
plays about as loose as anybody. First freethrow good three,
forty six Stout. And that's what you want. You want that,

(01:34:06):
I say, control the most. She just want her to
play with the motion, and she does. She's just such
a just gives everything she's got on the court. Second
free throw birds weal.

Speaker 2 (01:34:14):
From Adam Much.

Speaker 1 (01:34:16):
Adam Much with those two free throws up to fifteen
points today. Anna munch A Man Nigeese and Reagan Sorenson
three players on this current Stout team.

Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
They're in the top eight all time scoring and rebounding,
mostly rebounding in Sout history. Just a trio of amazing
toward the blue doubles. Forty five seconds remain.

Speaker 1 (01:34:37):
Here's a drive in and a top shot off the
window by Secer goes fifty four.

Speaker 2 (01:34:42):
To forty eight Stout. It's out trying to hurry here.

Speaker 1 (01:34:44):
Shaefer finds a trailer Willie ball fake from three Willy
drives picks up the dribble throws it out to shape
or they wanted to travel, didn't get a call. Here's
Loadermeyer on the right wing. Lodermeyer up top too much
and she's gonna slow it down. No need to try
to go to for one. Now about a eleven second
differential between game and shack back. At the end of
the third quarter, Animus at the right elbow anamuch gets
a screen much trying to take a shot looking for

(01:35:05):
space at Shaper in the corner. A top three off
the front. No tipped about and it's grabbed by Oshkosh.
Wool's got it. Nine seconds left in the third off
per Humble Humble into the front court with six with five,
chop it across left side. That's a drive by Secker
Secer oh tough two off the heel No. Animus at
the redo end of the third stout was up by

(01:35:25):
three at half time.

Speaker 2 (01:35:26):
They're up by six at the end of the third.

Speaker 1 (01:35:28):

Speaker 2 (01:36:16):
Welcome back in here to Johnson Field House.

Speaker 1 (01:36:18):
Fifty four to forty eight lead for Stout over Oshkosh.
Here at the end of three quarters, Blue Devils still
shooting great fifty percent from the field nineteen to thirty
eight in this game, and seven of twelve from beyond
the arc, including fifteen points from Manna Much, thirteen from
Amanda Geeson, and twelve from Reagan Sorenson.

Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
Sorenson has been limited a bit with some foul trouble.

Speaker 1 (01:36:37):
She's got three fouls, Wagner's got three, Mary Bird has three.
There are three players with three fouls for Oshkosh as well. Hardwick,
Vail and forty and Bail will start this fourth quarter,
and so will Reagan Sorenson. But Lexi Wagner will not,
so she's gonna stay on the bench for a few moments.
Annam Munch also starting on the mention this fourth quarter
as well. You got Berg, Sorenson, Lonermyer, Willie and shape

(01:37:00):
for the five on the floor for Stout. Those fans
are even trying to start a wave here that's into
this game.

Speaker 2 (01:37:05):
They are.

Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
It's been a great one here this afternoon. From Johnson
field House, fifty four to forty eight. Stout start with
the ball here disas Gosh Vail catches at the block,
Berg the little burg defending their inside on the big
Casey Veil. A drive coming in from Hardwick, Vail in
the corner, thinking about the three, she said she'll pass
it up, go out to Rondor. Rondor picks up the dribble.
A drive coming here from Amal Humble then loses it.

(01:37:25):
Sorenson had the deal. It's grabbed by Lodermeyer and a
jump all our time out jump ball. Stout's got the
arrow block is still running here. They're gonna have to
stop it. I don't think anybody caught it. They are
gonna reset to thirty seconds, but a couple extra ticks
game off. Nobody saw it and here we go, all right,
fifty four to forty eight Stout nine to twenty four

(01:37:46):
to go. Mary berg off on the left wing. Sorensen
got bumped across the lane by Hardwick. Here's Shaper trying
to get Sorenson open inside the All American from unity,
and boy, that hit the official that stayed in play.
Well that's a break for Stout on a bad pass
through loder Meyer's hands. Bret Fisher's out on the court
right now. Sorenson kids the two, let's go. He's on

(01:38:08):
the court. You gotta see him up at this point.
I mean he was on the court by a good
five feet. It hit Brad gildber to sorry, Tim gilberts
and mcgilbertson was on the court, so he's part of
the court. It just was a fortunate bounce for Stout.
They'll take that though. Fifty six, forty eight, eight forty
four to go. Here in the fourth, Hummel off on

(01:38:28):
the right for Pool, Deeson and Wagner ready to check
back in for the Blue Devils. A drive left side
by Pool, spin move off the glass, way off the
mark rebound Willie. Willie's got a for Stout up eight
eight twenty nine to go. Here in the fourth, here's
Schaeffer in the front court. Schafer cut off, finds Willie Trelak.
Willy moves right wing. Willy up top to Sorenson, around

(01:38:49):
to berg Berg on the left wing. Now back to
the top to loder Myer. They switch it across right
again to Sorenson on the wing. Sorenson's looking nobody, getting
no pentend to shoot. She'll pop a three, She'll miss
a three and it's rebounded by veil. Didn't really take
that in rhythm. That is a shot she can hit,
but unfortunately for did not make that one. Hummel with
the ball. Here for Oshcotch guarded by Shaper at the

(01:39:11):
top of the key. Hummel looking and drive in on Shaper.
Fifteen to shoot. They take a lot of time in
the half courts set to Oshcotch. Good defense there by
Lodermire cutting off the drive by Pool. Pool back out
to the top with six to shoot. Pool looking for
some space, she goes inside.

Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Catch turnaround.

Speaker 9 (01:39:28):
No good from herondor.

Speaker 1 (01:39:30):
Freebound Stout put it down in the lane, missed the
shot on the turnaround. Sorenson in transition finds Shafer on
the right wing shaper. We'll try to get it to Berg.
A bad pass. Hardwick will get the steal. One on
one the other way with Berg spins with the left hand,
gets to finish. Good defense from Berg, but she just
couldn't defend it. A bad pass, leading to two fifty

(01:39:51):
six fifty stouts seven to seventeen to go. Fourth order
Stout needs a whistle to get these subs in see
if they can earn a foul. Here here's Willie on
the nice high low inside with Sorenson catch lay up. Yes,
ron Dorf tried to get in front of it and
missed it. Fifty eight to fifty stouts, seven minutes up
to go. Line changes coming for both teams at the

(01:40:12):
next whistle.

Speaker 2 (01:40:13):
Here's Humbled between the wheels.

Speaker 1 (01:40:16):
A bad pass there, Lodermeyer almost with the steel as
Secer will go out and get it. Secker crosses over
here on lodermyre Secker spin stops. Vail now has it
off on the left side of the pool. Peel trying
to drive from the wing nine to shoot Shapeer defense
trying to go high low with Bail inside ketches. Oh,
she might have traveled, no call and she will knock
it through Willie defending there and can't get the stop.

Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
Fifty to fifty two, Stout six thirty to go. Here
in the fourth.

Speaker 1 (01:40:42):
Here's berg Off on the right wing, berg trying to
find Sorenson. Sorenson flashing to the hoop.

Speaker 9 (01:40:47):
Catch what a pass?

Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
What a bucket? Sixty to fifty.

Speaker 1 (01:40:51):
Two as she lays it in the high lowan.

Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
Oshkosh wasn't ready for a time.

Speaker 9 (01:40:56):
If Brian Pitcher.

Speaker 2 (01:40:59):
Six fifteen to go.

Speaker 1 (01:41:00):
Stout by eight, here comes the blue Devil faith ball, it.

Speaker 2 (01:41:07):
Turns into a media timeout. We pause as well. We'll
be back right after this on the YX Sports Network.

Speaker 2 (01:41:41):
Come come to me, WELLO back here to you.

Speaker 1 (01:41:48):
W Stout Johnson Fieldhouse six eight to fifty two. Stout
with the lead on Oshkosh in women's basketball, excuse me,
six fifteen left to play Blue Devils leading by eight.
They've outscored oshcost six to four to start this fourth quarter.
They've outscored Oshkosh in every quarter, but not by a lot.
Seventeen sixteen in the first, sixteen fourteen in the second,
and twenty one to eighteen in the third. Blue Devils

(01:42:10):
have eighteen points from Reagan Soorrens and Reagan Sorenson. With
those eighteen points, is now thirty two points away from
moving into second fall time on the all time scoring.

Speaker 2 (01:42:20):
List in Blue Devil's history.

Speaker 1 (01:42:22):
She is now just, let's see, thirty two points away
from Julie Mackie, who's set that record at the time
played here from nineteen eighty nine to nineteen ninety three.
Julia Hursig, the leading scorer all time seventeen thirty eight.
It's gonna be hard for Swornson to get there. An
ankle injury she had earlier this season limited her. She
had a good chance to beat Julia Hursk too, but

(01:42:44):
that certainly hurt her chances, but she's got a chance
to be second.

Speaker 2 (01:42:47):
Stout can keep playing in the postseason. We'll see if
that's the case.

Speaker 1 (01:42:50):
So when today goes a long way to make sure
that they'll at least get to the NCAA tournament. Alison
Letcher getting our first moments in the game here for Stout,
a few other Oshcosh players as well. Hope Rington into
the game for the first time. As they've got the
ball out of the time out a drive left side
of lane, the two no dice from Kate Hummel, rebound
Reagan Sorenson and stop's gonna slow it down just to touch.

Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
Here as Shaeffer brings it across the.

Speaker 1 (01:43:11):
Timeline, two seconds to spare from her and she will
move off to the right wing. Stout will vacate that space.
Here's Geeson trying to drive to the hoop, cut off Shaffer.
She'll take a three from the right wing, no and
bail with the rebound for Oshcosh veil looking out let up,
but Stout gets back quickly, humble and bring it up
slowly for Oscotts sixty to fifty two. Stout leaves on

(01:43:32):
the left side, so switch it off on the right.
Drive coming here from Barrington. Barrington passes up to Bayer,
Buyer crossing over, but Wagner stays in front of her.
Buyer wants to two from the free throw line off
the front rim. No fail with the rebound. Vail had
it poked away. Schaeffer has it and a foul reaching
call here on Wagner, Sir fourth, five twelve to go.
Stout wanted to tie up or just let that play go,

(01:43:54):
and they say she got her arm nowana much. He's
gonna check in here for Lexi Wagner who has four
fouls as well. Sorenson has three. Berg has three as well.
Bail catches here on the right block. They kick it
in the corner of wide open three from Buyer. She'll
hit that three and make it a five point ball game.

(01:44:15):
Sixty to fifty five Stout five five to go. Who
levels need to up the energy a little bit, and
they're slowing down the offensive pace a bit, which again
I think you start kind of playing pre venting, and
we know what that happens in football. Here's much out
on the left wing, much hesitating, dribbling, right side of lane.

Speaker 2 (01:44:31):
Going in on Buyer off the window.

Speaker 8 (01:44:33):
No good.

Speaker 1 (01:44:34):
Bail hit the rebound, trying to earn a foul call,
just trying to get closer to the hoop, and dietn't
do it. There's Buyer across the timeline. Buyer on the
right wing, guarded by Ana much. Buyer trying to drive
on Ana much. She'll stop now kicks it in the
left corner. It's an open three a line drive three
off the He'll no that. Bail gets the rebound on
the humble miss Bail on the right block. Keeson defends Bail,

(01:44:54):
puts a shoulder into her left hand and she.

Speaker 9 (01:44:56):
Travel, Yes, she did, Oh no, they call it bout.

Speaker 2 (01:45:00):
They give the basket as well.

Speaker 1 (01:45:02):
Holy cow, it looked like.

Speaker 2 (01:45:04):
A pretty clear travel. But they call a file on Geeson.

Speaker 1 (01:45:08):
Sixty to fifty seven stout and a free throw coming.
And it'll happen after the final immediate timeout of four
twenty six to go back after this on the YAX
Sports Network.

Speaker 1 (01:45:53):
Going back here to Johnson field House, a little bit
of acquired of Johnson field House's uw ash Goosh is
gone on a file run. They've got a free throw
coming to try to complete a three point play out
of this media timeout to our party.

Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
Four to twenty six left to play.

Speaker 1 (01:46:07):
Stout sixty Oshkosh fifty seven, Sorenson with eighteen and a
Munch with fifteen, Amana Geeson with thirteen. On the other
side of Rondor put thirteen ten per hummel, nine per second.
The leading scorer for Oshkosh on the season is Casey Vail,
averaging just under thirteen a game. Vail has struggled today,
but she got that big hoop there and if foul calling,
Amanda Geeson and She's heading to the line to try

(01:46:29):
to complete the three point play. Veil a fIF seventy
eight percent free throw shooter on the season, free throw
is good. Nothing but Ninelon. It's a two point game.
Stop by two. With the basketball stole. Last few possessions
have not been great for Spout Offensively, they need to
lock it in. Here's Much on the left wing, Much looking.

(01:46:49):
She'll go to Geeson at the top. Geeson flashes of basketball.
She'll hand off to Shaper off on the right wing.
Now back to Much. They switch it across the Sorenson
on the left wing. Sorenson looking at the eventually drive
here On Hardwick picks up the dribble, hands off to
Much eighte to shoot.

Speaker 2 (01:47:04):
Much looking to drive. She's got an open lane.

Speaker 1 (01:47:06):
Try to lay it off to Sorenson, makes the catch,
bail with the fowl. Sorenson to the line to shoot too.
Brad Fisher can't believe it. Bail called for her fourth
and Sorensen into the line for two free throws. It's
a tough catch for Sorenson on a deflected pass for Much,

(01:47:26):
but she had to kind of catch it down at
her ankles off the deflection and then just strong going
up with it through the contact to earn the foul call.
Veil checks out with four fouls, so Wagner on the
bench for Stout with four bail on the bench for
Oshkosh with cool and Sorenson hits the free throw.

Speaker 2 (01:47:45):
She's got nineteen three point fifty eight left to play.

Speaker 1 (01:47:50):
Sorenson hits the second and the All American per Stout
gives the Blue Devils a two possession lead. Here comes
Buyer and the Titans fire to the top of the
key to find Barrington. Barrington crosses over on Shaper ball
fake there with the left hand. Beautiful move around Shaeffer
to get the bucket sixty two to sixty. Stout three

(01:48:11):
forty two.

Speaker 2 (01:48:11):
To go much.

Speaker 1 (01:48:14):
Up on the left wing, looking she'll go up top
here to Geeson around Willie on the right side much
trying to flash across the lane.

Speaker 2 (01:48:21):
Geeson looks for the pass.

Speaker 1 (01:48:22):
She'll get it to her at the left block, spins
pops the two, doesn't climb over where at the offensive
rebound flying in.

Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
Sorenson now in the corner and Stout will set it up.
Geeson from the left wing.

Speaker 1 (01:48:33):
Drives all the way to the hoop, she's fouled, misses
the bucket, fouled by Buyer.

Speaker 2 (01:48:38):
She's heading to the line.

Speaker 1 (01:48:40):
Sixty two to sixty Stout three seventeen to go. Seunt
has all four time outs remaining, Osh Gosh with two.
That's a kind of point of information here. Both teams
have committed two team fouls in this quarter, so so
little way away from the bonus for both teams. As

(01:49:01):
Amanda Geeseen hits the first free throw, Geson now with
fourteen and two of three from the line. That's good
as well. Sixty four sixty Stout three seventeen to go.
Sout needs a stop defensively, maybe have not made the
best of plays here. Oshcotch has run some really good

(01:49:21):
offense because there's a drive on Sorens and they'll kick
in the right corner at three coming and.

Speaker 2 (01:49:25):
That's off the heel.

Speaker 1 (01:49:26):
No Deeson has the box out rebound, then poked away
from behind back Hardwick and she grabs it. She had
it and now's oshkosh with it back out. It goes
to pool Pool.

Speaker 2 (01:49:34):
Trying to drive in on Sorens and with the right
hand does not make it, soorrens in with the rebound.
It floated on the rim tharns and down to the
front cord. Sorenson gonna take.

Speaker 9 (01:49:41):
Our stout with the HEAs it taking stuff the y
into the hoop.

Speaker 1 (01:49:45):
Sixty six sixty stout two forty five ago Oshkosh into
the front court. Buyer trying to drive on. Sorenson hangs
at the free throw line. Jumper off the mark Yutch
with the rebound Stout into the front cord and I'm
just looking out let the attack and much lose it
down finds trailing Shaper two twenty eight to go.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
Geeson into the laying goes up.

Speaker 9 (01:50:09):
She hits it no bottle ball, but she makes.

Speaker 1 (01:50:12):
The layup on a beautiful offensive set sixty eight to
sixty stout two fifteen to go. Here's Bier on the
left wing, tops it up to Barrington. Barrington drive stops,
pops it two too strong. Willie with the redound for
stout Oshcosh taking some bad shots and the Blue Devils

(01:50:32):
up by eight with two minutes up to play. Shafer
Geeson on the right wing, Sorenson floats out to the top.
Sorenson now finds Willy on the left side. I want
to give that return pass to Sorenson inside. She's trying
to post up much on the right wing up top
to Geeson. Geeson puts it on the deck drives. She's
pushed before the shot. Even though she made it with

(01:50:54):
one forty one to go, and that is the third
foul on Oscosh, there's.

Speaker 2 (01:50:59):
Still a couple to do.

Speaker 1 (01:51:02):
Brad Fisher arguing, saying they should have called it at
the other end as well. He is out on the courts,
argued Schaefer to inbound twenty to shoot a new twenty
one forty one, to play a beautiful.

Speaker 9 (01:51:14):
Pass inside of Sorrenson. She got open on.

Speaker 1 (01:51:17):
A back screen on the right side of the lane
and she hits it. It's a ten point lead per
Stout and a whistle and a time out. Oscus has
to talk about it. Blue Devils seventy Titans sixty one,
forty six to go here in the fourth.

Speaker 2 (01:51:35):
Well, this game not over yet. But the only thing going.

Speaker 1 (01:51:38):
Through my head here at the moment is the idea
that man if Stouted just won on Wednesday night, If
they have just won on Wednesday night, you'd be looking
at one seed a conference regular season championship.

Speaker 2 (01:51:50):
Unfortunately that's not the case.

Speaker 1 (01:51:55):
But Nonetheless, what an effort here from the Blue doubles
Tonight Reagan's stewarts is.

Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
It eight of our last nine field goals.

Speaker 1 (01:52:03):
Oshkosh has been scoreless for the last two minutes and
ten seconds. Stout has out rebounded oshkotsch to Night, thirty
to twenty one. You look at Oshkosh's numbers on the
season rebounding, They're all rebounding teams by about a plus
three and a half margin per game on the year,
one of the better rebounding teams in the conference. Both

(01:52:27):
teams have turned it over thirteen times. A lot of
even stats here a bit. Stout has just had the
tenacity going to the hoop. Sorenson with twenty four points
here this afternoon in the corner, here comes Oshkosh one
twenty four to go. Out of the time out off
on the right. Now here for Secord. Secord guarded by Geese.
Secord trying to cross over. Geeson stays in front, spins,

(01:52:47):
takes a two that rolls off.

Speaker 2 (01:52:49):
No good.

Speaker 1 (01:52:49):
It's hips out of bounds. It's gonna stay with Oshkosh.
Last touch by Anna much on the baseline here for
the Titans, one twelve to go. Now This is Alex
Rondorf back in. She still leads the Titans in scoring
today with thirteen points, as she is three of six
from beyond the arc. Lodermyer checks in. Willie checks out

(01:53:11):
inbounds for Casey Vale, who's been limited today with foul trouble.
Secker out to Hummel on the left wing. Hummel looking
to try to get somebody open inside and stop defending
really well off the ball. Here's Secker on the short
left corner. She tries to drive on Shaper. Shaper puts
a body into her. Secker goes up no good, but
I'll say Shafer was in her cylinder. There was in
her business, and she'll get called for the foul. Fifty

(01:53:34):
eight point three to go.

Speaker 2 (01:53:37):
Ope.

Speaker 1 (01:53:38):
Barrington will check in here for Oshkosh, and she will
come in for Rondorf defensively, Secer to the line here
for Oshkosh. Seker I seventy three percent free throw shooter
on the year, and that free throw is way off.

(01:53:58):
I don't know what happened there, but student section, who's
made up a good number of football players, gonna give
him the business. And you know those guys know how
to heckle. Second free throw, no dice rebound thorn Finn
has it on the baseline time out taken by Stout.

Speaker 2 (01:54:14):
The ladvance the ball fifty five point nine to go
here in the fourth. It's always tough.

Speaker 1 (01:54:20):
When you don't win on Senior Day, Senior Night, but
the Blue Devils are fifty five seconds away from beating
the seventh best team in the country. And it seem
that coming into today's play. If you look at the NPI,
which is the new number, the new metric the teams

(01:54:41):
are going to be based on to get into the
NCAA tournament, they're the number sixth ranked team in the country.

Speaker 2 (01:54:46):
There because save us Atolphus, who Stout played kind.

Speaker 1 (01:54:48):
Of a a skeleton crew, if you will, when everybody
was hurt earlier this year and lost here at home
by ten points to him is fifth. Illinois Wesley and
another team from the region is fourth out of this
SCIW So there's a number of Midwestern teams who are
up near the top and win today. Stop you to
imagine again, they're gonna move up about a points worth
of value, a little hundred points worth of value in

(01:55:10):
the MPI. I'd imagine they would gain with that.

Speaker 2 (01:55:15):
Somewhere. I mean they may jump up back into the
top fifteen in.

Speaker 1 (01:55:18):
The NPI with a win today. We'll have to see again.
That's just kind of estimating looking at the numbers, but
it's certainly worth noting when you get a win against
a team like Ashtaff. But they got to finish it
off as Shaper trying to inbound.

Speaker 9 (01:55:31):
Oh what a pass They left these the lot open
and what.

Speaker 1 (01:55:35):
A pass them shape for a big smile from Amanda Geeson,
who points back at Sam Shaffer and says, hey, thanks
for finding the third option on the back door of
the bucket out It comes here for Pool. Pool trying
to find some space to shoot at three, can't find it.
They'll kick in the left corner a drive on the
baseline there from Barrington back it comes to second twelve

(01:55:56):
to shoot. They got to get a shot off quicker
than this, and how Geeson called for a foul thirty
three seconds left stout seventy two oshkosh sixty. We will
see about getting a postgame interview. Not sure we'll be
able to with the senior night situation, but we'll try
to get somebody quick if we can. Before we have

(01:56:17):
to sign off. And get over to River Falls. And
now I think the seniors are going to get a
little bit of a curtain call here. And that's the
case Samannah Geese and getting a big round of applause.
Sam Shafer getting a big round of applause. Anna Much
getting a big round of applause.

They are coming off and Stout's gonna empty the bench
for thirty three seconds left in a twelve point lead,
three from the corner.

Another big round of applause, all the seniors getting in
at the ending here, field Ouse, I have a feeling
for me and maybe more than once, folks, we're gonna
be cool Elite eight sweet sixteen. Could you imagine that
the foul call here is Julia right Backi's foul underneath

(01:58:16):
fourth fouling oscotch four point four left, so it'll be
out of mounds to Stout shoot no shots yet and
Stout gonna get the win and move to nineteen and
six overall. This season, Oll finished second in conference. Oshcots
picks up their third loss of the season, and I
really hope we get a rubber match next week in

(01:58:39):
ocosh Could you imagine that big smiles all the way
around as Stout gets the win seventy two to sixty
three here against Oshcotch. We'll see if we can get
an interview here trying to figure that out and you
get Reagan Sorens and if we can just to do

(01:59:00):
a quick interview at least on the radio side, and
we're not gonna take a break here to our video
friends and everybody up there as well, So we'll see
if we get Reagan's soorrens and just sound real briefly here.

Speaker 2 (01:59:12):
So I'm gonna talk about this win for Stout.

Speaker 1 (01:59:17):
And then we will sign off, and again we will
have coverage of Stout in the WIAC Tournament next week
semifinals here at Johnson field House Friday night. That's our
parton me a Thursday night at seven o'clock pregame at
six forty five as well. Look at the out of
town scoreboard here real quickly. Whitewater is on the way
to a win against oak Player. They're up by twelve there.
Late River Falls gonna get the win sixty two to
fifty six with fifty seconds left against Blatville and all likelihood.

(01:59:40):
Stevens Point beats Lacrosse at home, Stevens Points got a
good bid to try to get into the YAK Tournament,
or I should say, to the NCAA Tournament. With their
win tonight and the wins that they've had there as well, yea,
we're gonna get sworts and over. And so we'll just
get Reagan real quickly here on the radio side before
they do the Senior Day stuff, and we'll let Reagan
sit down and chat with us as well. Appreciate taking

(02:00:01):
the time with us, right and I know you got
Senior Day stuff. Wanted to do you real quick. Oh
my gosh, what a game for you guys. Twenty four
points for you? How you're feeling out there tonight, because
that was impressive to beat a team that's only got
too long it's twenty two.

Speaker 9 (02:00:13):
Or two on the season.

Speaker 29 (02:00:13):
Yeah, yeah, this was a great game for us. We
needed to show up and this is something that's gonna
put us in a good spot into the YA Tournament
and hopefully the NCAA Tournament. So you're very excited. And
that was the mindset coming into this game.

Speaker 1 (02:00:27):
It was you guys were aggressive, You did what you
needed to do again.

Speaker 2 (02:00:30):
This is a really good defensive team.

Speaker 1 (02:00:31):
You guys broke them down a number of times, and
I saw the smiles on the faces Geese.

Speaker 2 (02:00:36):
And bringing it right after the ear.

Speaker 1 (02:00:37):
You were an ear to ear and anna much when
you got those and it was when you got passes.

Speaker 2 (02:00:41):
It's when we're working at worked.

Speaker 29 (02:00:44):
Yeah, that's a pretty cool Yes, that's what we're always,
that's a goal, what we're looking for.

Speaker 1 (02:00:49):
All right, I'll let you get over the senior Day stuff,
but just real quickly, Senior Day for everybody.

Speaker 2 (02:00:52):
I know it's.

Speaker 1 (02:00:53):
Emotional, but you guys know you got more games to play,
which makes it a little bit easy more bearable.

Speaker 10 (02:00:58):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (02:00:58):
Is that what you'd said? What's that feeling like? No one,
it's your senior day. But also knowing we could say,
least play here one more time and we're gonna play.

Speaker 29 (02:01:05):
A lot of Yeah.

coverage of Stout.

Speaker 2 (02:01:30):
Hockey as well.

Speaker 1 (02:01:39):
Special thst Alos, who made Reagan person joins us here
in the twenty four points for nineteen from Anda Geesea
today fifteen for Anna Much is Reagan Swords and now
just twenty six points away from moving into second place
all time on the all time scoring list. Replace a
passing Julia Mackie on that list. What a game for
her this after so South gets the win. Folks, There's

(02:02:02):
not nothing is ever sure in sports, but I think
with that win you can pretty much book a trip
to the first round of the NCAA tournament with that one.
I cannot imagine Stout's NPI dropping too low by losing
in the opening round of the semi finals the YAX
Tournament next one.

Speaker 2 (02:02:16):
All right, we will turn it over now and.

Speaker 1 (02:02:19):
Again we will have the Senior Day festivities here. I
believe we're gonna keep going on the YAX Sports Network.
Are we gonna keep the stream going?

Speaker 2 (02:02:26):
