Johnson Center for Philanthropy, at Grand Valley State University. The report Health Equity in Grand Rapids’ “Neighborhoods of Focus” found among many other things that Asian, Black, Indigenous, and Latina/o/x people have higher infant mortality rates, experience more chronic conditions and disabilities, and die earlier than most white Americans.
