Speaker 2 (00:09):
Let's start high noon tomorrow. I'll actually be eleven am
in Chicago. Big Nune kickoff on Fox seventeen, Number eighteen,
Michigan visiting the iconic Wrigley Field to take on Northwestern.
Wildcats have lost their last two. They're five and four overall,
but Michigan's still in play here as far as the
Big Ten races concerned. Seven and two overall for the Wolverines,

(00:29):
five and one in conference play.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yeah. I mean when you think about Michigan, that's keeping
Grace Underwood protected right. Northwestern, We're not going to prescribe
it that they're world beaters, but the reality of it
is they've had they've had some impressive wins, and they've
played hard during the course of this season. It is
Wrigley Field, it's a historic place. Northwestern obviously would love
to take their shot at, you know, getting that Michigan,
But the reality of it is, you know, Michigan should

(00:54):
be fine. I think some of the things for me
when I look at Michigan, what what defailsively are they
going to have? You know, when you talk about some
of the guys like barhum Roller in Sullivan, you know,
they're all kind of question marks in the linebacker corps,
Rod Moore, same kind of thing. You're you're wondering, you
know what you're going to get potentially defensively. But I
think if they it's the stain from drives, obviously that'll

(01:19):
be that'll you know, be shouldered on Underwood as well.
But sustain some drives, keep Northwestern off the field, but
defensively get after their quarterback who's been prone to throw
some interceptions. I think this should go Michigan's way at
Wrigley Field.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
By the way, coverage tomorrow morning at eleven am right
here on Wood Radio. From there, let's head to East
Lansing three point thirty on CBS two o'clock starts the
coverage on Big one to one point three FM. You're
home for Michigan State football the lang Gran Trophy Penn
State at Michigan State. Hard to believe time that neither
team has a win in Big Ten play going into
this one.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, you wouldn't think when you think Michigan State, Penn State.
You're talking about playing for last. I mean, it's at
the end of the day, that's kind of where they're at.
But you know, Milvoyevic, named the starter for Michigan State,
certainly showed in the Minnesota game that he controlled the
ball around and used multiple receivers. Can the offensive line

(02:15):
for Michigan State against the jim Noles defense and Penn State,
who played really, really well last week against Indiana, can
they hold up? Can they give Alicia enough time to
deliver the football down the field and spread the ball
around like he did against Minnesota. But the problem is
Penn State's not Minnesota, and they've had a very very

(02:38):
tough season themselves, some injuries. Obviously their quarterback's gone. But
I don't know. This is a tough one for me.
I'm hoping that Johnathan Smith can figure out a way
to get a victory here at home here towards the
end of the year as we start to get to
the last few games. But I think it's going to
be a tough order. I don't think Penn State is
going to lay off at all, and I don't think

(02:59):
they're going in where I think there is just as
hungry for a win, and it makes me nervous any planting,
but hopefully we can figure out what way to get
that done. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I think Michigan State has to force some turnovers in
this one if they want to get the victory at
home for their seniors. Sunday Night football. Finally, Lions in Philly.
Great matchup here eight twenty would TV it. I'll have
it Sunday Night Lions at six and three, Philly at
seven and two. But they're three and one at home.
And which Lions offense will we get right? Philly's defense
pretty good?

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Ty? Yeah, I found it interesting. Dan Campbell one of
the Cootes. You know, there's teams where you go like
Green Bay on the way in, they're happy to see
you and happy they're playing against you. Then there's places
you go in where you're nervous and you want to
full armor guard. That's Philadelphia. I mean, the fans are
absolutely rabid. They'll get after you. But I think that's

(03:49):
the way Philly is going to be. You know, both
offensively and defensively. We know the tush push, we know
the grind gealand Hurts does have weapons to get the
ball down field, but they just grind it out. So
to me, defensively, we're going to have to stop Saquon Barkley,
no question about it. Got to stop their run game. Offensively,
we got to protect your golf. We do not want

(04:11):
to have him get out of rhythm. It's one thing
against an injured you know, Washington commander's defense, it's another
thing against Philadelphia at home. So Dan Campbell's got, you know,
his work cut out for him. Hopefully whatever combination of
coaches are helping call him plays and give an input
are able to do so in a way that comes
out with the Lions victory. But it will not be

(04:31):
easy on the road at Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Steve Kelly, I will tell you this one thing when
you look at Philadelphia, thirty eight points is their season
high Offensively, I mean, they let teams hang around. Their
defense is really good. That's why they've won a lot
of games. But the Lions. If we see the Lions
like we saw against Washington and the offensive play call it,
I think this one could be interesting. A lot of
fun coming up on Sunday night.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
