Speaker 1 (00:00):
We're sort of poking fun at this subcommittee vote last
night as four as Yeah, I said, its emotions report
is agreed to that and the vote itself goes to
the full House in Washington, D C. This morning, where
they're not worrying about lighting the tree yet. Fox News Radios,

(00:21):
Ryan Schmells is there, Ryan, Thanks for doing this today today.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Of course, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
So we heard a little while ago that it may
be as early as four o'clock today, your colleague, let
us know. What do you hear about the full vote today?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
That's that's I think that's that's accurate, Yes, four o'clock.
You know. The one of the reasons why they might
be waiting a little while because ultimately they need to
give members time to get back into town. So a
lot of them are traveling after Veterans Day events. There
was actually a group who were on a flight last
night and they had to have their flight diverted because

(00:57):
somebody is being unruly, yelling to work fascist at some
of the members. So that's kind of the situation we're
in right now.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
And when we talked yesterday we discussed variables. Is there anything,
Are there any other things that could pop up that
would somehow sideline this thing or are is it a
steel pipe lock today in the vote?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Well, a tenant is going to be a problem, or
it could be a problem, you know if members have
issues getting flights back to DC or just traveling back
to DC in general. You know, Republicans are going to
probably need to have full attendance to be able to
pass this thing, and they're going to need everybody to
be on the same page. You know, they're going to

(01:43):
lose one, They're going to lose Thomas Massey, but if
they lose just one more vote, the bills in trouble.
So it's a tough situation to be in, especially with
the margins. But you know, if Democrats don't show up,
or some Democrats decide to vote for the build and
then they'll be in good shape. So attendance is kind
of that weird, you know thing kind of hanging over

(02:05):
this where if everybody's there, we know what the map is.
If not everyone's there, we.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Don't know what the map is, and traveling could be trouble. Right.
The TSA is still folks are still talking about. There
was sixteen thousand flights canceled yesterday alone nationally.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Oh yeah, yeah. I mean, you've got some who are
traveling by motorcycle to the vote today, so it's it's
going to be a fascinating thing to see if everyone's
home safe or not.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I don't know about you, but I hope that stage
coach gets in on time and there it is, see
the movie Trains, Planes and Automobiles. That is our friend
Ryan Schmel's Fox Nigts Radio in Washington, d C.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Thank you, of course, thank you.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
