Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to West Michigan's morning news. That is Laurence Smith
and I see Adam Roncho. I'm Steve Kelly, Brett Bakita
transitioning to a live broadcasted livefield for the Meyer LPGA Classic.
Of course, simply give It's Thursday, June twelve, twenty twenty five. Schmitty,
where do we start today's top Fox A number five.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
I'm gonna need you to google the image of this.
That's really going to make the story even better. A
rare first generation Labooboo doll has sold for one hundred
and fifty thousand dollars in Beijing at an auction. If
you're not aware of the La Boo Boos, they're kind
of an angry but adorable looking gremlin doll that has
become an absolute fad. They've been selling out online. People

(00:43):
cannot find them in stores, and this is the first
and only life sized figure. It's fifty one inches tall
and it was sold at the Yongle International auction House,
saying congratulations to the online buyer that now owns the
only one in the world.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Unbelievable, you've seen the La Boo Boos.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm looking at a lot of people they're smaller, have
them hanging off of like purses or backpacks. They're absolutely
the weirdest thing I've ever seen, but they're the trendiest
thing right now.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
I spend money on collectibles like food fifty grid. I
have all sorts of shelves in my kitchen for this
food and some stuff needs to keep cold. Those collectibles
go in a refrigerator. Collectibles, I don't get it. New
york Man, number four in the list may have earned
a Guinness World Record by playing golf Get this Father's
for Father's Day for thirty six consecutive hours.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
You guys can be pushing agains him me going bang
it for that.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I'm a champion champion originally from Nigeria. He hit the
links in Huntington Crest Club at six o'clock on Sunday.
It's gonna play twenty four hours and then somebody game
an update. Then he went for thirty two hours and
they felt good. So he finished up after all of
that thirty six hours on two day and is now
being reviewed by the Guinness Book of World Records. For

(02:03):
a fundraiser, I did one hundred and ten holes one time.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Wow, did you walk it to yeah, Oh that's impressive.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah, I was thirty. Pardon me, it was not that
big that yeah, and I actually played better when you
can just stripe right along, when you're not waiting around
for stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Okay, okay, pro pro kelly, it's me.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Number three on the Listen.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Say, mule riding Kentucky man has been accused of unleashing
a raccoon in a bar after they wouldn't let him in.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Okay, we got to take a step back here.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
This is the greatest story I've seen in a while.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
A mule riding Kentucky man. Yes, threw a raccoon in
a bar.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Yes, let me add to that. The Kentucky man is
known by locals as Cowboy Cody, of course, taken into
custody after allegedly releasing a raccoon into a crowded bar.
It went on Friday night. Authority save a forty year
old Jonathan Mason was arrested after he released the raccoon,
resulting in a person being bit. Well, no, the bartender said, listen,

(03:10):
I'm a bartender, so you know I've seen some crazy
stuff in my time, but nothing like this. He is
currently still in jail.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
I you should add a ticked off raccoon. It wasn't
one of the happy raccoons.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I think of the shots. I'm not talking the bar shots.
I'm talking to the dock shots. Right.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Cody, by the way, is headed to a church basement
near you, my guess.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
At number two, a South Carolina disc golf game was
interrupted when an osprey flew over and dropped a hammerhead
shark onto the hole that the disc golfers were playing
on on bird drops shark on disc golf, disc golfer. Yep,
so this won't happen in Michigan, so I guess we
could call it a pure Michigan moment. But yeah, the
osprey was just carrying its lunch over the disc golf
course and dropped it right onto the course. That's a

(03:55):
little guy, you know, A little hammerhead shark unfortunately did
not make it.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
So the shark didn't make it.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
No, the osprey did though.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Okay, but the shark didn't bite anybody before it gave up.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
The ghost flattered, Oh, gave up the ghost is nice.
It's very diplomatic.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Well. One on the list a Florida bear seen enjoying
a residence hot tub and taking a long backyard. Nap
was later captured and relocated with the help of donuts.
This is how the aliens are going to lure me in,
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission get the state
said the bear was spotted and a Punta Gordon neighborhood
on Sunday. The bruin was caught on camera taking a

(04:34):
soak in a residence hot tub before removing the cushions
from an outdoor quote couch and taking a nap for
six hours. Personnel there used hazing techniques to encourage the
bear to leave the property ended up scaling a nearby
tree in a vacant lot, and that's when they were
able to lure it into the trap with the donuts.

(04:56):
Would have gotten me to today's top five. I would
just take a simple glazed right now, I.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Adam, oh, yeah, glaze would be great.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Actually, cinnamon twist schmidty qutie.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Gonna need you go to lancing for him. I'm gonna
need the cinnamon roll with the chocolate frosting and sprinkles.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Good talk.
