Speaker 1 (00:00):
So let me, uh, read this to you today, OK?
So this is our Ask Us Anything. OK, this says,
I heard you yesterday helping someone settle an argument about
whether barbecue sauce should be used on hot dogs and steak.
I totally agree with Amber. It should not. That conversation
made me think of the slow simmering argument in my
own house. It's about Cheez Whiz. My wife loves Cheez Whiz.

(00:20):
She grew up eating it and now feeds it to
our children. I don't think it's food and I refuse
to eat it. I'm wondering if any of you use
Cheez Whiz and what your thoughts are on it. Amber?
Would you have a jazzy little marketing idea for Cheez
Whiz this
summer?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
No, I enjoyed Cheez Whiz when I was
younger on toast and I don't think I've had it in,
I don't know, it's got to be like 25 years plus.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Why would you not say goodbye
to a friend like
that?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Well, I just wasn't, I don't know, like I had
it into my teens and then I stopped.
And my husband brought it into our house and I
think it was like a nostalgic thing. He's like, you
know what, it is good. We should get some and
just have it and you know, it's an option if
you don't want jam or if you don't want butter
or whatever on toast. It didn't stick in my house.

(01:15):
My kids weren't into it and I'm fine with that
because I also don't even understand what it's actually made of.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
It's cheese.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
So it's, I, I think the jar was in our
house for a while. It might still be there. That's
good for a long time, yeah, exactly, another concern of mine,
but um yeah, so it's just, it's not part of
my life anymore. Yeah, I'm not into it. OK.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
LTI. I love Cheez Whiz. I've also had it a
lot growing up. I like it on toast. I think
it's good in
grilled cheese sandwiches instead of cheese. Amber, what's that face
you're making? It melts so nice, Amber. You gotta try it. Wait,
would you just do Cheez Whiz in a grilled cheese sandwich,
not no other cheese? No, just load up the Cheez
Whiz in the middle. That's not too strong of a taste.

(02:06):
It's a great taste. OK, keep going then. We don't
buy it as much as we used to, but I
still pick up a jar from time to time and
I really like.
I remember, uh, Sonia's stand in Lockport. They were big
users of Cheez Whiz on their actual food they sold.
So people loved it. Yeah, so they put it on
their burgers. There was, I believe, fries and Cheez Whiz,

(02:28):
which I don't think is on the menu anymore, but
like it was so good. OK, so I love it. OK.
And then so I don't think a hot dog tastes
like a hot dog without Cheez Whiz on it.
So Cheez Whiz is something that I will buy for
the summer season. So again, please think of a catchy
marketing phrase for this.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
I think I have one.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
OK, so it stays in the fridge and then just
to swipe with a butter knife over the bun and
then uh all the rest of the condiments and a
nice hot grilled smokie and it's so tasty.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
It's like the spray tan of cheeses.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
What does that
mean?
It's
fake.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
That's

Speaker 1 (03:07):
her

Speaker 2 (03:07):
marketing for it. It looks good, but it's not real.
It's like the spray tan of cheeses.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Cheez Whiz. Well, people like spray tans. Yeah, I know
they do. That's why she said it. On text, my
six year old daughter will eat it straight, just a
spoonful of it. Yeah, that's probably not great.
Listen, she likes what she likes. I think we're all
aware that it's not real cheese. Might not be the best

(03:35):
but it tastes great.
