Producer, comedian and documentary filmmaker Connor Malbeuf joined us to talk about his upcoming 'Sorry' shows in Toronto.

In this razor-sharp, deeply personal debut solo work, Malbeuf explores the absurdities of American

politics and the cultural dissonance of modern life through the lens of a queer Canadian immigrant. With

incisive wit and emotional honesty, he navigates topics ranging from international identity and societal

collapse to his own surreal and often isolating journey as a television producer working with some of the

most recognizable names in entertainment. The result is a show that deftly balances biting satire with a

heartfelt appeal for understanding in uncertain times.

Canadian audiences, in particular, will find resonance in Malbeuf’s nuanced perspective—straddling two

nations, two worldviews, and the tension of staying grounded in a world that increasingly defies logic.

Malbeuf’s work has been described as fearless, self-aware, and unflinchingly human. Sorry is both a

cathartic reflection and an urgent reminder that humor remains one of our most powerful tools in

processing collective madness.
