Mark will blush at what I am about to say....but, in this episode we chat about his extraordinary 36 year career in triathlon and when I say extraordinary, I mean it.

Mark competed in the UK's first ever triathlon in 1983 and has been hooked ever since, but not so much on short distances...

Mark has raced in over 36 Ironmans - that's a race made up of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon run on the end.

However, Mark hasn't stopped there. He has also finished a double Ironman TWICE - AND a TRIPLE Ironman! He is my hero, for if I ever complete a triple Ironman it would be a dream come true.

AND if that's not enough, he broke the world record for the most press ups in under 30 mins at 1,000 - I'm working towards 50 at the end of the year!

I would be lying if that was all of his impressive achievements and the best part - he's not slowing down! His eyes are set on more ironmans (even the extreme) and he's coaching me on my journey too :)

So without further ado, here is Mark Kleanthos' story part 1 - In part 2, next week, we skim the surface of nutrition and the mental game.
