Angie Nocua, nació en Tunja, Boyacá, su mamá fue quien descubrió su talento para correr a los 11 años de edad, fue campeona nacional en 300 y 800 metros; estudió enfermería en Puerto Rico gracias a una beca, en donde logró doble medalla de bronce en 5.000 y 10.000 metros.
Actualmente vive en La Ceja, Antioquia, junto a su esposo el atleta David Gómez, con un tiempo de 37 minutos y 17 segundos Angie ganó la prueba de 10K en la categoría femenina de una de las carreras de más importantes de Latinoamérica.
