Speaker 1 (00:06):
Alone. Welcome to another edition of a Lot of Help
with James Junior. I'm James Junior here on J Media
and we work on physical health, mental health, life health
in general. And I did something that I'm going to
share with you word for word because I'm again the show.
We're very transparent, and I was curious because we're in
(00:27):
one of my other shows where we're exploring the whole
new AI and what it means to us as humans.
And my other show is an Organizer James Show with
James Jr. We're exploring chat GBT and organization. So now
(00:47):
on this show, I decided, let me talk about mental
health and chat GBT because here's the thing. It's starting
to get better. They're making it more and more intelligent
as the more stuff it gathers. Chat g EBT and
other AI sources gather from everything. Right, we put it
together and hopefully to some kind of comprehensive our official
(01:10):
intelligence smart data. When it first came a couple of
years ago, it was kind of behind still and they
always have a little disclaimer It says, you know, some
facts may not be right about but fact check whatever.
So what about chat GBT is really interesting is askingting
it is getting smarter and smarter from all information, and
(01:33):
it's kind of replacing Google. You go google it, Google
got a Google, whatever your browser was is starting to
kind of change that a bit, and then people are
going there now because it's a little more the other way.
Goo gives you options. This one says here it is,
here's what we think from what we fild, what we find.
So I have decided, and so I'm going to ask
(01:55):
you a question, and I'm going to just occasionally on
the show here and see what it says and yay
or nay. It kind of like this is good, this
is not good because I was always afraid, like with
the whole WebMD sou was like, be careful. You could
type it I have blue eye, black eyes, and it
could be ten thousand different things, right, so you gotta
be careful with that. So here's what I did. So
I typed them tell me what I should do. They
(02:17):
call that prompt. Sorry, I prompted to saying tell me
what I should do when I am feeling depressed. So
that's the prompt. They say, should get very specific, and
that's the better. The more specific, the better the answer.
They say should be justly plain to you and your
your question to be answer it out, it responded, chat
(02:40):
gpt said, and this is all quoting. I'm quoting this
whole thing I'm reading right now. You set off to
the side I'm reading this. I'm really glad that you
reached out. When you're feeling depressed, it can feel like
everything is too much or like nothing matters at all.
But these are things you can do that might help
shift the weight even a little. Here's some steps you
(03:02):
can take. Check in with yourself gently, name what you're feeling.
Just saying I feel really low right now is powerful.
Avoid judgment. You are not weak, you are not broken,
You're human. You know what, folks, that's a good that's
some good advice. That is some really great good great advice,
(03:25):
really is. Chat Chyut goes on to say, do one
small thing. Depression can make the even tiniest task feel huge.
Choose one small act. Drink a glass of water, take
a shower, wash your face, open a window, step outside
for sixty seconds. Now, folks, I love these because I
(03:47):
I not even just with depression. If you're working at
if you work at home, these are things you should do.
And I always, always be in Washington. Face does hell.
But I also believe I go outside in my garden
and right now, I guard it is so beautiful. Right now,
I go outside and I just take it all in.
I'm like, oh, this is a wonderful. I love it.
It does help. That does how you feel. It's a
(04:08):
sunny days, you feel a little better. Or for me,
going to the beach and go down there you feel better.
Chat Chips also says talk to someone, call or text
a friend you trust, even just to say hi if
that feels too much right down what you're feeling. Journaling
can also help you g out of your head. I
agree with that. I have journals. I just, I just
(04:29):
I haven't a second ago. I have journals, and what
kind of stuff that does help? We're calling from and
maybe and maybe just laugh, you know, I'm talking about it,
just like maybe this might make you laugh or something.
But here's the part that I am very happy about.
It does offer. Chatchib says reach out for help professionally.
(04:49):
Talk to a therapist or mental health professional to train
to help you carry this. If things feel especially dark,
there's no shame in calling a helpline nine to eight
eight in the us. Is this suicide and Crisis lifeline
or text hello. It's seven four one, seven four one,
the crisis text line. I love that part that is saying,
(05:12):
above all else, I'm just talking. I'm just I'm just
an AI years or if you need help, And for
those who mayn't even know this number, I mean maybe
we know this stuff. Now you're getting information that's like
and for real, like for human, for help. I'm glad
to suggest that. The last thing it says, well, it's
(05:32):
two last things. One of thing says is give yourself compassion.
Depression lies to you. It tells you that you're alone,
or hopeless or unworthy. You're not think of what you
say to a frame going through this, say it to yourself.
I love that it. I just it's very pleasure. It's right,
very good. It's very good. And it ends with hold
on to hope. You know my favorite word, even if
(05:53):
it's fragile, depression isn't forever. It might feel like it,
but feelings change. You've made it to this moment right here,
right now. That means something you're still fighting, still showing up.
If you want to talk more vent or needs some encouragement,
I'm here would you like a journal prompt, something comforting,
or just even a story to distract you. That is
(06:15):
so I love that. It's like this chat GBT is
like even if you don't do any of the other stuff,
it's like it's continuing it. It's like saying, well, I'm
still here. You want to continue this, Let's keep going.
Let's just keep talking about it. You can keep typing
stuff in to see what it does next. And I thought, Okay,
I'm not I'm not mad at this because I know
(06:37):
some folks. You know, we're raised to not say anything.
You know, you keep it to yourself, hold it in,
or you're embarrassed to show the size of you, or
in my case, sometimes everyone else is freaking out, so
you can't wait freak out to you can It just
would add to it and when when they look into
you to be the charge. So this is like saying,
(06:57):
I'm much more impressed than I thought. I don't think
because at least it's telling you to call because I
know part of this, all this, a part of it
is jobs and the human side of Am I going
to start losing my job? And I mean, you're not
gonna be therapists anymore? Because just just type it in,
that's it. One day might happen. But I think right now,
(07:19):
the fact that it telling is telling you as one
of the options to call a human another human, that's
a good point. And I think possibly for anybody looking
for a life coach or or a therapist or psychogy anything,
this could be a good opening. Like you can you
can type something in, see what it says to you,
(07:40):
and it might be the chance you go, you know,
I do need somebody. This is more than I can handle.
Or if it could be this actually works. So I
think it could be an open, a good opener, and
you can still go get a professional. I'm sorry. I
think there's nothing. There's nothing to me other than a
human touch. And I think I don't have to be
in the future future, but I think right now and
(08:03):
I I never thought I would say this, this could
work with the human side of things. Chesset is like, well,
I was gonna, we all were gonna, we're gonna all
be run by robots at some point they're gonna run us.
I got make sure I want the robots on my signed.
I don't want them and the apocalypse. I want to
be fine. Oh my goodness. I have James Lodd Junior
