Speaker 1 (00:02):
I want to ask you the other day, how do I
handle the appointments, especially once there kind of last minute.
I'm James Junior. This is a lot of help with
James Loud Junior, and I have a blog blog post
out there, blogs out there under James no under, a
lot of help dot com rese are a basic page,
a lot of help with James Engineer.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Take it out to you.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
I get asked Christmas all the time, and so I
try to answer them either in blog form or in
show form. But I feel like that's a way to,
you know, kind of get back to you guys and
tell you what my opinions are on the subjects. So
for me, I choose the appointments today. This is just
a great time. This is great timing out anybody, obviously,

(00:47):
But I'm an interviewer and so I have a lot
of interviews I do. We'en doing it for years, ten years.
I'm doing it and both people are repeats, so you
know who I am in my situation and my style
and all that. One of them did not show up
for me this morning. We are three hour difference. So

(01:13):
I did this with the kindness of my heart. Actually,
so I wanted the interview too. I offered it to
them at their regular time of nine am, so for
me that's six am. I said, don't heard from them,
So I'm going to reach out to them. And I

(01:33):
know that he missed it, and of course anything could
have happened. So how do I handle that disappointment? Oh yeah,
I kicked the scream and hollered at and stuff that's
stayed in benveriture hours. But while I was up, I like,
I get some work done because I want to go
for a walk later. I want to exercise, go for
a walk later. I'm like, actually, because I'm up, I
already had coffee, so I'm awake, I get some I

(01:56):
get some good stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
That I did.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I guess I got a bunch of stuff done. So
basically I turned that into something positive. And actually for
that show, I recorded another's I recorded a show just
not with that person they went here, that'll be out
this week.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I mean us, I made use.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
It's a good episode that I think I made use
of the time. So, yes, disappointment I turned into something
actually positive.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I know it wasn't that hard. It was just like, okay,
well they're not.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Here, and when we schedule we will schedule whatever, But
disappointing that I get up so early because I didn't
GetUp at four thirty to go myself together and be
ready by five to you know the whole thing. Another
one was this is a different kind of one. Another
interview was scheduled for today and actually for this show,

(02:50):
for this show, and I'm actually turning this this lemon
into lemonade and talking about it. It's all learning experience.
This person was on the show for We've stayed in touch.
We're on a shower actually show times break, gats a
good time last night late. I mean we're talking like

(03:11):
he let us like a night, sends me an email.
I don't gonna say. The email basically said I'm sorry
to do this. I can't can't come on tomorrow. I
didn't get questions in advance because he forgot to ask them.
He said, I forgot to ask them for my team
to review. And some article came out that he that's

(03:35):
that's big and he's.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Like in an art creators. I'm busy with that. And
now it's really scheduled. It's like two weeks. How do
I know that? Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
I got pissy for myself because my thing is you
know what you're doing send an email that late so
you're hoping him already in bed asleep off of the day.
Or it's where it's like I can't wait say nothing
but okay, because I'll wake up the next morning and
you're not coming on. Yes, I appreciate the heads up,

(04:07):
I guess, but my thing is, you've been on my
show for it's just conversational. Why does your team need
to look it over? Is anything about anything that crazy?
Either is like it's not like at your personal life.
We're going to talk about it and go over it,
and you got to go over like what can you say?
It's about your business. It's the thing you're talking about

(04:29):
right now. I just want to answer additional questions. I
don't say that just that just it bugs me. I'll
admitte it bugs me, but I can do about it.
I feel like they know what they're doing, and by
saying that and then not offering like and waiting for
because they feel in the hierarchy of things, the article

(04:50):
that came out was more important than I mean, it's
not me, so I get pushed aside for two weeks.
But it's like, my thing is, where's the common courtesy
at least, yes, it's before the interview. Night went the interview,

(05:12):
but right during the day. You know, now I can't plan.
What if I could have replaced it with somebody. I
have other people who want interviews. I could replace it
with somebody else, And here you go, the slots opened up,
like I could try it the first thing in the morning.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
But it says too length for most people.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Everybody has busy schedules, So how I deal with That's
just I was like, I haven't say anything to this
person yet, I responded at some point, well, I respond
when I'm ready. It was like, you know, since you
have the courtesy to tell me earlier and to do
your I guess your due diligence.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I'll get back to you.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Want to get back to you, because then in all fairs,
I went to them to be back on the show.
So it was they were clamorating on my show and
I came back to them.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
So I don't know. It's just it's sometimes you know,
I get over faster. I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
I'm so busy. I don't have time to be upset
forever or like that. But you just get you get annoyed.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
It's more. It's more than I was saying with disappointment.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
I get more annoyed than upset, because yes, I know
anything can happen. Yes, there's a hierarchy in Hollywood. Certain
publications are way higher than mine, and we get prime
attention and I get pushed aside. It's just that you
don't want to feel like you know, it's you know
that's true, but you don't want to feel it right.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Like I try to treat everyone, whether they're a regular
person or indie artist or a big big name, all
the same. That's kind of how I feel about that.
It's like I showed everybody to say so that nobody
feels like, well, you're appropra heating your place over here,
and you are like, no, anybody's saying.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
That's what it happened to me.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
It's like it's a disappointing, you know, let's a little
more annoying. But I get over it. I get over
things things very fast.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Work to do.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
I can't have time to be upset all the time.
I just kind of moved on. I also have another
situation that happened. I think I talked about a little
bit on another show. But I'm where someone new, well people,
both people knew. I was trying to book this person
for an interview, and in the end they got together.

(07:31):
I didn't get them yet. Everybody's apologized and I was
trying to try to rectify it, but I'm like, but.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Still it was I was looking at that interview first.
That was kind of the point.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
So now any of you second after yours, When I
started this journey first, and like, it's disappointing, life goes on.
You can't drink about it. I mean, the interview is
out anything about it, and mine is gonna be good.
So how I didn't disappointment? I go, Okay, well, James,
you saw that on an interview. You're gonna do what
you can to have a really good time, be very

(08:07):
different from that interview. You have your own style, James.
You have to believe yourself. I have my own style,
I have my own way. I'm a good interviewer no
matter after you my myself. This is a business, a
press business where people can be on multiple shows at
the same time. So I gotta tell myself, Okay, there's

(08:28):
a huge piece of pie out there. Still, there's a
huge community who want to watch interviews, so I'll do
my best. I'll get my little piece of the pie hopefully.
That's obviously have a lot of people in my field
because it happens to me. People go on press junkets
and and everybody gets that person. There are certain people

(08:49):
I'm on their press junket and I get it, so
I can't complain and I'm on the list.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
So but in the long run, just to let it
go and move on.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I always remember everything, and it sounds shady, but by
jump said, I remember, I don't forget, I forgive, don't
forget like I'll move on. I'm not gonna hold on too.
I don't mean life goes on, but I but I will.
I will never forget, so it will affect decisions I
might make later regarding you.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
That happens.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
What's about that later too? A lot of help dot
com go there. I'm a life coaching can come talk
to me. I'd love to talk to you. You have
reasonable rates. I'm helping people get their lives back on track.
Media coaching, business coaching, organizational coaching. That's me. That's what
I do. Mindset stuff. I'm very realistic and I know
and not one science fits all. I cater it directly

(09:46):
to you, so you want to check me out, I'll
talk to you next time we're here.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
On Tuesday night, Tuesdays, that's when we're here media right,
