Speaker 1 (00:03):
Eleven years ago. Yesterday, I graduated from a year long
program at the Coach Training Alliance and became a certified
Life coach. Recently, I talked to my coach, a founder
on LinkedIn, Laurie Cameron, and I thought we were following
each other, but we worked we were following each other

(00:24):
on Facebook and I just realized I forgot I had
an all account that got hacked, so I would new account.
But anyway, we found each other and I told her
it's been eleven years. She's like, oh, my goodness, and
I love coaching. She was the best teacher. Oh, she
was the best teacher. She was a great combination of
smart's toughness, humor, encouragement. It was a great program and

(00:55):
I won't never forget it. It costs for me a
lot of money. It was like around four five thousand dollars.
I paid for it, paid for it myself. I worked
very hard, and I said I wanted to do it
on the advice of my aunt Faith, who got me
thinking about it at first, like life coach. Life coach

(01:17):
has such bad connotations, right, like we just look at stars,
and I mean it's more than that, obviously. But the
school was legit is legit, and I went back and
got more certifications. I have several cervications under life Coaching umbrella.

(01:38):
Two of my major ones are also a certified divorce coach. Well,
so I'm looking over here by all my medals. I've
also got some gift for professional media organization. I have
all kinds of different ones, but I have several coaching.
My two big ones are divorce divorce coaching. My big
three to sec three ones are divorce coaching, media coaching,

(01:59):
and then of course the general life coaching, which can
include up to you and also organization. And you know,
I have clients over the years where I've had seen
major success of my clients where we did we parted
on good terms, but they didn't get what they wanted

(02:21):
out of me. But I see them because I follow
them still some of them, and they're putting in the
practice of the things I told them. Because one of
the things about that, Laurie Cameron topt me, it's a
life coach. We have no bearing on the outcome. The
outcome is not about us. We give the tools we

(02:42):
were best. We don't over promise. There's to make your star.
They was saying that you never say that make your
star or like that. But I'm gonna get you just
for sure. What you say is I will get you
to the place. I will help you get there, and

(03:03):
results will happen. If you follow these these things with me,
you stick. You stick with me. In consistency. They had
told me by the time I left the first course,
and I would have two I should have I should
have two clients paid clients. So I left and I
did actually, so I was a go getter, so it
worked for me. I like my clients is they're they're excited,

(03:28):
they're happy, they're they're on they're finding there the epiphanies
that happen each meetings as they slide and I stay
calm and I'm just like, okay, let me invite you
to think of it this way, and they go, oh,
I thought about that way. So like it's just the
human condition is to just it's happening to me. And

(03:50):
that's yet, you know. But there's a lot of things
that we bring on ourselves and things just changed perspectives,
lots of stuff. I love words and I love the
techniques that I learned in coaching, and I really can't
believest me eleven years, because it was twenty four to
eight pri twenty fourteen, we're in twenty twenty five. I'm

(04:12):
like this. It time goes by fast, and I want
to thank all the people who've taken their time with me.
Some have left, some stuck with me. I hope either way,
there's not one size fits all, but I hope at
least those are my organizing clients to have been within
sixteen years on that just I hope that you hear

(04:33):
my voice occasionally as a positive hearing. Oh yes, James,
he's saying I should do this, or James said do
this like I always look good. She took it. Yet
some takeaways from me because I you know, I have
my books and my stuff, but it's also just putting
in the practice, and every person is different. I love

(04:54):
listening to them and seeing what they need and want,
and it's it's amazing. And people just make fun of
life coaches. Of course, anybody call themselves a life coach.
But I feel because I got certifications off my name,
I paid money for them. I got some great training
that I do stand out head and shower above the ones.

(05:14):
You just seven a life coach, but they't. Mike send
their life coach, and I want to say, I just
want to mention this too. And this is something that
I see a lot of coaches do. What happens. What
I see happen is someone starts reading. They get self
help books, you know, things like that, and I read

(05:36):
them too. So we read or you read It'sbic's biography
and you really get into the philosophy and you read
and read and read and read all this stuff. And
I know it's a lot of coaches. I don't quote
a lot of people specifically add my own quotes by
a lot of people who quote other people. Well, you know,
Tony Robbins always says and my life always says a

(05:57):
lot of seas Speed always says like it's all these things.
It's great too because I said, but they Brown changed
my life with their definition on forgiveness. I did a
whole episode on that here. It's very popular. So no,
I mean there's there are people that I do read
and go, yeah, they said this, but and someone else
said this on one of their their their their igs

(06:18):
on Instagram, read read Read, But you got to put
into practice. They should find your own practice, Like what
is it that you believe we're in a malcamation the
all things that we learned. So all those readings, yeah, absorb,
but how do you mix it in with you stir
it up into a student that as you and bring

(06:40):
them back out to the world. There are some folks
who I know, some coaches who are followers and they
see they find a person or a way and they
do it, and it's fine. They are followers. They pushed
that way. It's like it's like an Amway sales girl.
They like Amway products. They just they you know, they're focused.
That's fine some people. But I like the coaches you

(07:01):
don't do that, who have experience and travel and knowledge
and education. And I don't need I don't need them
to be super relatable to me. I need them to
be an influencer online just like say some stuff that
makes sense. I'm like, okay, it comes from you. You say, well,

(07:22):
my exper I love. Actually, I like folks who have
their own experience and use it for good meaning to
use it for things. Now. I love that those kind
of people. I follow them all the time. I just
I love it. Otherwise that aren't screaming and yelling at
me changed my life. That doesn't that's doesn't work for me.

(07:44):
My favorite transformation of people is Audrey Hope, who I've
had in the show many times and I need to
work on the show. I just love her. I love
her energy, I love her presence. She predicted something for
me that did come true. The fan just a just
a fan in general. It's like, I just like her
her energy. So I'm gonna ask you que the show again. Uh,

(08:08):
And I just I'm a huge fan, and so I
for me, it's it's it's that quoting quotations and saying things.
I'm like, that's that's that's not that's They're fine. Sometimes
when someone just does that constantly, I'm like, I want
to know what you think, what you feel, what your

(08:30):
experience says to me, I should follow you, not just
because you're on somebody else's behalf, but with you. Why
should I follow you? Why? Why do you think you
could better my life? And I've seen some quacks, people
who just okay, and I already had show on this before,
and folks who fake it, who claim they're huge and

(08:53):
they have like nobody like the ones who are authentic,
like the ones who just here's my life, what I've done.
I can help on some level. Here you go. I
like those. That's pretty much how I am. I one
size is not fin all. What I have my books,

(09:13):
my side, stuff that I can use to research a
way to help my clients side. And I think that's
what I do best is I listen. I have classes
on how to listen properly and things like that. So

(09:35):
that's what that's what I do. Congratulations to me. Coach
Trade Alliance was my school. International Coaching Federation is the
community i CF. I'm glad to be a part of
all these things. It's so much fun. I'd be a
life coach especially. I'm here to help people in certain areas.

(09:58):
I'm very much getting started. My especial is an organization
and getting started. A lot of helps on Facebook, a
lot of help dot com with my site, and I
will see you next time. Thanks everybody for the last
eleven years as a life coach.
