I generated So okay, I don't know how we're gonna know.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
That, but we will.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
So.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Main topic in hand though, is how he is back
to work and the bye week for him couldn't have
came in a better time.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
And so it was the NFL knew that too.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
It's like the NFL knew that, Hey, we're gonna give
the Eagles a bye week leading into the NFL trade deadline.
So how he has some time to cook and he
and he cooked it up, right, He absolutely cooked it up.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
And it ties to nor pole question, and let's talk
about it.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
With the additions of Phillips, Alexander, and Carter, the Eagles
have now completed their championship caliber roster coming out of
the bye week.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Do you agree or disagree?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Let us know Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, That's what We're live
everywhere you get your podcasts, whatever as well.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Hit the like, subscribe, follow, most.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Importantly, join our conversation tonight dive in Water's warm. I
need to hear from you because you can take this
poll a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Right.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I'm not gonna sit here and tell you the three
guys they got are all All Pros at this point
of their careers, and you know, you know, first team
All Pros.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
That's all I'm gonna say.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
I'm not gonna tell you all three of these guys
are first team All Pros, but I'm gonna say that
is all three of these guys fit a major, major
need that this football team was looking for. And we'll
start with We'll go in order of how these moves happen.
And we'll start with Michael Carter. You can't have enough corners.
We talked about it last year. Coming in the season.
We were we were lucky. Okay, we were given, we
(03:27):
were given the world and we couldn't You couldn't get
more corners than we had. I mean Killey Ringo was playing.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
We thought it. We thought it was Sauce Gardner.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Okay, look it's Killey Island, right, That's what we thought
when he got a couple little couple of minute, little run. Okay,
So Carter, you can't have enough slock guys either, baby, right,
I mean you can't have enough slack guys period. Hardest
position to play. He's a good one. He's a good one.
He always was a good one. Now sometimes it's getting
out of New York changes things. We think Sauce Carter
(03:54):
can't play. Is that what everybody's out with me to
Sauce Cartern camp play. Guarantee you he plays better when
he gets to Indy and it's a it's a little
bit of it and winning's happening, Okay, guys will guys
will start to put their body on the line and
do some things you saw early on in their careers,
those start doing it again when it's actually okay, I'm
not set up to go on and eat makes sense,
so that will happen. So I believe that's a good,
(04:15):
a good under the radar move right there. And Joe
Douglas is familiar with him. Jair Alexander could be the
biggest one out of all of them boys. It could be,
it could be. I'm not gonna go I need to
know more, I need to see more.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
Right.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
But it's another example of don't tell me about anything
about about Baltimore defense. If you're not talking about ro
quand Smith, okay, because they're in. A guy who had
defense is here that can play outside of Roquand Smith.
So again, I don't care what they did against the Dophins.
I don't care what they did. You know, another weekend
in play where they look better, Okay, whatever.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
You want to call that.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
And I'm not gonna tell you a guy that could
just play a year ago, all of a sudden, you
can't play. That's what people telling me. At twenty eight
years old. You're telling me he just can't play anymore.
I want to mention the guests that great coaching, great
locker room winning. Got to figure out how to play again,
(05:12):
That's all I'm saying. He's thirty two. I'm right with everybody.
Maybe maybe the time has passed them. You don't go
from being a two time All Pro in this league, okay,
to forget how to play.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Unless you're just unless you're just a pos. Right, if
you're the.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Pos and maybe you did. Maybe maybe he didn't care
enough to play. Sometimes this is like a CJ GJ.
Sometimes guys won't get paid again too. Guys want right,
they want a long term contract. They want to feel
feel that again. We'll see how he plays. That could
be the biggest one. It's a position to need and
(05:48):
what a better way if he actually possibly could get
the start on Monday, which I don't know who's getting
that start. I was assuming it's a dory tell me
tell me if it's somebody else, please, family has got
information on that. Uh but yeah, yeah, wait either one.
But I would love a little roll out. Now, maybe
it's too early to give them another week? Okay, fine, Now,
Phillips is the easy one to be in love with
(06:11):
because he's shown glimpses of it, and he shown and
he's shown it under VIC two, but injuries that have
creeped up and sort of followed him from college and
then the pros a little bit, and that's the only
like turnoff of it. And I'm not turned off at all,
you understand, I'm not even the least been turned off.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
That's a third round pick. See you later.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Don't care because I can get it back anyway. So
what how he's the best? Does it matter to me?
All right? And low risk again, high high, high reward.
When now look how deep you are right now? The
Brandon Graham is a no brainer, Pete. Not if Brandon
Graham makes a ton of sense, because that just wasn't
what they were gonna do. It's it's now Nolan Smith's
(06:53):
coming back. So now you get Nolan Smith back, you
get Brandon Graham back. Now you're bringing Phillips into this mix.
And now Jaal's now is in that perfect that perfect role.
Josh Ucha is in a perfect role. Now you're deep
off front, you're deep in the secondary. Howie Roseman, you
did it again. I'm sorry for going seven minutes here.
I don't care. I don't take the blame for seven
There's there's there's a little intro and the thing's happening.
(07:15):
But Howie Roseman, you have did yourself again. And then
and listen, I'm not telling you we're cutting. That's don't
even know. I agree to this because they are. This
is this is a championship caliber defense, all right, because
one because we know what the coach is. And two
there's a ton of talent on this defense, so they
are they are built for that. And and these moves
just help move the needle more. That's all about. They
(07:38):
move the needle more. I feel deeper. I feel safer
when I'm deeper. I feel better when I'm deeper, right, That's.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
What she said.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
And and the end of all, and they're wrapping it
up in a bow. This is, this is, this should
be the favorite in the NFC. And the fact that
they're not, the fact they're not, tells me Vegas is
on something, all right. Vegas is on a lot. Because
we'll get into Monday night. But beware green Bank. Hate
to lose two games straight at Lambaut that'd be a shame.
(08:06):
Boys go ahead. But I I couldn't agree more to this,
Paul question.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Yeah, I also agree, Tommy, and you hit on a
lot of really good points.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
I think part of part of what you didn't hit
on though, too, is you look at when you look
at Jaire Alexander, he's coming back to an environment where
he's previously worked with Christian Parker in Green Bank, where
Christian Parker was able to get the best out of
JayR Alexander. And everyone's overreacting, you know, to the Jai
Alexander for all the reasons that are probably you know true,
(08:36):
this year, right has been good, hasn't been healthy? Is old.
But again, Tommy, one of your biggest points that you
hit on is you're putting these guys in a new environment,
a winning environment, a locker room that is is cohesive
in everything that they do. So things change in players, right,
Things change in players like Jayalen Phillips. Yeah, it was hurt.
(08:57):
How many of those injuries were real? I mean, I
know he's got a lot of ones, right, But you know,
if I'm shooting up for the one and seven Dophins,
am I really gonna go out there on a bum knee? Yeah?
But you hear the way, you hear the way Howie
Roseman talked about JAYI though too, and now how he
(09:18):
really thought that that deal in the off season was
a really good deal for Baltimore, you know, which leads
which leads us all to believe that he was probably
in on him, which we thought he would be. And
then he talked about how he was injured and how
he just didn't wasn't able to get off to a start.
You know, that was a Jaii Alexander type of start.
And but all we've watched his career is him shut
down big guys in big games. And and you you said, Tom,
(09:43):
you cannot have enough death back there in the in
the secondary, you can't have enough death. And now Vic
has pieces. And I think this is where a key
thing too, because we don't we assume how it's all
gonna play out, but we don't know. But now Vic
has got pieces that if they all contribute in in
certain ways, that he can use them in the mix
(10:04):
and match and as chess pieces to go throughout because
he's such a tactician. And so I absolutely agree. I
think this does erase any of the doubts or the
holes that you might have had in in on the defense,
because that's really the only doubt that you might have
had on this team after the last few weeks with
the offense because you knew it was just a matter
of time with that offense to get going. So I
(10:25):
absolutely love it and and yeah, I agree to a ball.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
Yeah, I think real quick and then go ahead, right.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
I think it's it's it doesn't always work this this easy,
but when you add more in the stuff so that
when you get deeper in a position like they have
in a position group, I think it can bring iron
sharpens iron.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Now there's got to be.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Iron, right, or you're just your iron sharpend and would right,
which does which doesn't work? Okay, So you know iron
Truppin's iron, And I believe there's a talent in the building.
And I think that just that just pushes guys, right.
I think attention to detail can be better. Want to
be the guy, wanting to be the guy to win,
(11:06):
That helps attention to detail. So I think a lot
of good can come from that too. Or you just
have a you have five guys you can't play. It's
it's one of the other. It's literally one of the other.
Like I got five things that you're from. You're telling
me not one of those guys can play, right, Like
you're gonna line all five of those guys up. You're
gonna lie Carter up. You're gonna like ring out, You're
gonna have the list, right guy, it's Carter ring Out,
(11:28):
JayR Alexander Bennett.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Do worry.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
We's gonna lie them all up. And now get could
one are you five point out? In my conversation? Can
one of you five just go win this?
Speaker 2 (11:39):
Please?
Speaker 1 (11:41):
So maybe it's like that, or maybe none of the
five are good enough, but we'll see.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
I think they're good enough.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
No.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
The only way I might even kind of disagree with
this poll is because I already think that the Eagles
had a roster that was capable of winning a championship regardless. Right,
you lost some pieces, obviously, right, but without these guys
coming in, you're six and two anyway, Right, you're number
one seed, your number one seed in the NFC. You're
you've essentially already clinched the NFC East. You haven't done yet,
(12:15):
You've essentially already done it. And it's just now November. Right,
Like I was sitting on my couch or I was
I was up in New York with a buddy of
mine on Sunday, just watching the NFC East fall apart,
I'm like, all right, okay, we're gonna win the division. Cool,
no problem. But yeah, like getting getting these guys in,
you know, the the underrated one in Michael Carter, who
(12:37):
is a very solid slot corner, right, who if for
whatever reason, you want to move Coop outside, you could
slide him into the slot if you want to keep
Coop in the slot, because he's been an All Pro
level slot corner. Right, You go and get a guy
who's twenty eight years old and it's been an All
Pro twice. And in jyr Alexander, who, honestly, in you
(13:01):
know what Baltimore does, they play a ton of man
and Jai here has been a zone corner his entire career,
so that's probably contributed a little bit to why he
hasn't played very well right now. Obviously he's been battling
injuries a little bit the last couple of years. But
you know, if he doesn't have to go out there
and play seventy snaps like the Ravens defense has been
playing all season, it'll probably help him out a little
(13:23):
bit in there, right. And then you go out and
get a guy in Jalen Phillips, who again has battance
of injuries. But in his rookie year with VIC Vangio
had his career high in sacks and eight and a half,
right and he wasn't starting most of those games. I
think he only started like a handful of games and
he had eight and a half sacks. Right now, it's
it's hard to believe that this defense last year were like,
(13:46):
oh my god, our problems the defense, and you go
out there and you get three guys who can You
don't really necessarily need them to be all world players.
You just needed to come in and give me something,
right Obviously, you would love if Jalen Phillips comes on
it and gets you six sacks rest of the year.
You would love if Jyry Alexanders takes out that that side, opposite,
(14:07):
opposite our our our own soon to be all pro
cornerback and you know, just locks down the other side.
And if Michael Carter can contribute in some way whether
we're playing diying packages and we got four solid corners
out there, let's do that, right. But yeah, I mean,
I think my favorite thing has just been like doom
scrolling on like TikTok or YouTube or whatever it is,
(14:28):
and people are like, how is how we doing all
this shit? How does he get away with it all
the time? No, no, no, no no no, like people of
all I've heard is that Gyry Alex Allen has been tolerable,
Jalen Phillips can't stay healthy, Michael Carter, he plays for
the Jatz can't be good. But if Hallie Rosemen trades
that trades for him, like, oh, he must be the
best player ever around, right, Because realistically, I just trust
how he how he knows what he's doing, how he's
(14:50):
been great drafting, how he's been really good and getting
guys to come in and help out. Now, some of
his in season move has been better than others, but
I trust him to go out and get a depth.
She can help you in some way. You don't need
to be the best player that they possibly can. It
would help if they were, but we don't need him
to be that, right. But you added these guys to
(15:11):
Nolan Smith coming back and Brandon Graham coming back, you
just have more depth and it helps you out, especially
coming after the bye week, right going into the end
of your schedule, which up until a couple of weeks ago,
was probably one of the hardest in the in the
in the NFL, if not the hartist but with what
with still yeah it still is, but you know, we'll
(15:33):
see what ends up happening there. But again it's it's
just gonna make your already best team in the NFC better,
so let's get after it.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah, no, what do you say to the poll, mab Look.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
I agree to the pole. I think they're great moves.
I mean, are these guys hall of fame players? No,
probably not, but they can definitely come in and contribute
right away, especially Phillips, as Ryan and you guys alluded
to earlier, he has played in Vic Fangio's system before
down in Miami, had a great year, as Ryan was saying,
(16:05):
with eight and a half sacks. I mean, look, these
guys still have football left in them. And obviously Phillips
is what twenty six years old, I believe. Yeah, so
he's got plenty of gas left in the tank. I know,
I know he's been bitten by the injury bug a bit.
But the nice part is we have depth on this
(16:28):
football team to where he doesn't have to play every down.
So if he can come in, you know, just come in,
rush the passer, get after the passer. We need pass rushers.
You need pass rushers in this league, and clearly that's
been a deficiency so far this season, you know, and
(16:49):
I think he I think Phillips especially will boost this defense.
We definitely need help in the secondary, especially at corner,
and I think Alexander hopefully he can help in a
pinch there. So the jury's still out on him, but look,
it's an extra piece we need. Look, I mean, for
(17:11):
a lot of this season, let's face it, we looked
like dogshit at times. But despite that, we're six in
two with nine games ahead of us.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
That's the beautiful thing.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
And I remember saying four or five weeks ago, Yeah,
we don't look so great right now. Yeah, it's a
nice three and oh start. You know, at the time,
then we took some lumps right after the yor I'm sorry,
after the four and oh start, we dropped a four
and two. Things aren't looking so great. We look terrible,
you know, you dropped the game to Denver. We look
(17:44):
terrible in the meadowlands. And then all of a sudden,
you know, we start to right the ship.
Speaker 6 (17:50):
We look our offense.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
Look, we moved the ball down the field against Minnesota.
We look good in the rematch with the Giants, and
it's kind of it's starting to come together a bit.
And most importantly, the buy couldn't have come at a
better time. We have a lot of guys dinged up,
and we really we have a chance to get them
back healthy like a landed Dickerson. So look, I think
(18:16):
once Thanksgiving rolls around, and once the holiday season rolls around, guys,
this is gonna look like a damn good football team
that definitely is championship caliber.
Speaker 6 (18:28):
I absolutely agree to the pole.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
I think, you know, Hollie, there's no doubt we made
some mistakes this offseason.
Speaker 6 (18:35):
Some of the moves not so great. I'll give Hollie a.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
C plus say, but you know what, he redeemed himself here.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Nobody in football does it at a higher level.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
Yeah, no, no question, And there's no there's no GM
that that adapts and.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Is willing to go, is willing to make up for mistakes.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
We've seen it, time out, doubt and time, whatever phrase is,
we've seen it. We've seen it too many times in
a good way. And I think this is another example
that I think the other side of it is when
you had guys banged up what you're talking about, and
you have some of that, especially playing deep into the
year like you did last year. Right, I think you
(19:17):
get you get to this and now you get deeper, right,
And I think getting deeper, especially up front, get guys breathers,
give guys rest. So when guys are in there, you're
getting one hundred percent out of them, right, You're getting
the most out of them.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
You're getting the most out of a guy.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
If you're running them twenty five snaps, right, then, if
you're running them forty five, you're getting more out of that.
I don't care what anybody has to say about it,
So you just will. And something we saw in twenty
seventeen with this football team, how deep they were up
there and the reason we won the Super Bowl, and
something else we saw again last year on why we
won the Super Bowl, and something we're trying our best
(19:53):
to get back to right now in twenty twenty five
for a six and two football team that, in my
opinion's best team in the NFC. People can talk about
Seattle all they want. I would knock that ship off
real quick. With Sam Donald as my quarterback, I would
knock that off immediately, and we'll talk about that later
on the show. But I would really calm, calm my
whole life down. If I'm gonna put all my eggs
(20:15):
into Sam Donald as the best team in the NFS,
I would I would. Okay, well, we could talk about
it later. But that again, that's being said like they're deep,
they're built, They're already built for it, and this just
extends it. And like you said, getting guys back off
of the buys huge. You know, we probably wouldn't have
sat Quan last week. I assume we have him this week.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
I haven't heard it. I haven't heard anything.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
Everybody's back.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
I think everybody's backs back. I mean Bennett, but yeah,
better even here, it was back there like he might stink, right,
he the little guy, So you know, I don't. I
don't love the little little corner like you know what
I mean. We Nate McMillan up in here, ready to
go really back. That's where no I saw.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
I saw this tweet the other day that Jimmy Kemski put.
Speaker 6 (21:05):
Out Mark McMillan.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
Mark, Yeah, I think you play for the Pacers or something.
Eagles currently have thirteen first round picks on their roster.
Thirteen eight of them are homegrown, Like you want to
talk about the just gathering talent. Two of those guys
(21:27):
you got in the last couple of days in Jyry Alexander,
Jaylen Phillips right who ironically we're both drafted number eighteen overall,
but either way not super important. But again, look, look
you're you're just collecting talent right in both Phillips is
twenty six, Alexander's twenty eight. There was a lot of
discourse in our group chat the other day talking about
(21:48):
Jiry Alexander on if this dude could play or not
and no, again, you don't. You don't forget to play,
right Maybe if you're on the wrong side of thirty maybe,
but again you know right now again these he's got
something I saw somebody towards like the beginning of the
show that we like saying that we miss Slay this year, Like, yeah,
we missed the idea of Slave, but Slave's been getting
(22:09):
absolutely cooked in Pittsburgh. Yeah, absolutely cooked in Pittsburgh. He's
like we used to complain last year about him going
out for like a series or two every single game.
He's missing like entire quarters right now, like and he's
getting burned when he is out there. But yeah, like, look,
you just get guys in here, you get violent time
is undefeated, right exactly, you get it. You get the
(22:31):
guys in here.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
You're walking in that door hole week Holy shit, Holy Gnoley, Like.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
It's a twenty eight year old. It's not a thirty
two year old. It's not a thirty three year old.
It's a two time off bro at twenty eight years old.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
It's a zone guy, right, So yes, I would venturely
say he tackles better in zone coverage and berthout than
he does in the man the man aspect. You know,
his eyes on the quarterback hence why you know he's
at good turnover numbers in his career on the quarterback
or some guys just played better like that. I think
when we got Non Day awesome, whah, he was more
(23:05):
of a I want to say, he was more of
his own guy and we ran a man It was
something similar to that, and he looked like shit.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
So it was one way or the other, and he
looked like he couldn't play anymore.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
But I bet you if he was in the right
system right for him, he probably would have been able
to play. So finding out Baltimore runs a lot of Man,
it's obviously an not ideal for a guy. Now if
it's an injury thing and the guy's just completely not
healthy and a shell of himself. Again, I find that
hard at twenty eight, right, I find it hard to
be like your body's broken at twenty eight. Maybe it is,
(23:37):
Maybe it is, But I think that one could end
up being the biggest home run because there's so much
back and forth on it. It's like a fifty to
fifty split. Like I chalk up Baltimore. I don't give
a shit, Like I don't care what happened. How'd he
played last year? I thought he played well. I don't
know if he played every game. He might have been
hurt last year too at times. But wasn't he also
(23:58):
trying to get a contract extent in there?
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Yeah he was an extension, Yeah he was.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Yeah he was looking to get paid Yeah, yeah for
sure for from for from uh from green Bay where
he was green Bay didn't nessarily want to leave green Bay.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yeah, green Bay didn't pay him. Now if that probably
had something to do with the injuries. Plus, I think he,
you know, was battling that stuff the last couple of
years out there, and then similar thing with Phillips, right,
or like there's there's a reason why they didn't keep
a twenty six year old Ed Rusher, right, he's been
battling injuries. But again, like you're you're bringing in three
guys from three teams that had combined what five wins.
(24:37):
Maybe you're coming to a team that has six, Like
it gives you a little bit more juice in your steff, I.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Think absolutely does have to.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
And and like we've pointed out right, it's not like
especially when you look at Carter and Alexander because they
they've been in the league. But it's not like you
guys have all said these guys were all pros at
one point in their career, right, And stuff happens, injuries happened,
bad teams happen, But these guys just aren't coming in
and just bums. You know how he didn't go bargain shopping,
(25:05):
even though some of the picks for giving up like
feel like bargain shopping, right, But and in reality, none
of these picks cost us anything.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
This is all house money. Bottomore in the offseason.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
I don't know I could look it up, but you
gave six, you know six, you know, slot picks to
get both, you know, Carter, and you gave up a third.
But if Phillips walks right, you get you probably get
a third or fourth compensatory pick in a year anyway. Yeah,
but what if he doesn't walk right. What if we're
able to get him on the cheap because he's injured
(25:41):
and he plays really well here and we're able to
lock him down opposite Nolan Smith because again Beg's done
again after this year, so you're still gonna have potentially
that that turnover. Right, So yeah, I mean these are great.
I think they're great moves. Even if they don't even
work out. It didn't cost you anything. It costs you
(26:01):
nothing to do any of this and give up.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
He's a one year million dollar deal.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Yeah, so and they ate most of that money. So
he was only paying a million dollars if.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
That, and they're only paying five hundred k for Phillips.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Yeah, yeah, they ate all that money. It's just because
they wanted the third round pick.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Miami's eating all that and then the Eagles, if he walks,
gets the compensatory Big Crazy.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Signed.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
The JA signed a four year, eighty four million dollar
contract extension.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
In twenty twenty two.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Man, they cut him after last year, so I guess
to use I guess two years of that, so I
guess too. Yeah, and then they're gonna have what probably
two years of Dead Cap and Green Bay. I I guess,
if not more than that. If they spread it out
(27:06):
the Little Gy or Alexander comeback game or a revenge
game this.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
Weekend, that waspic that.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Yeah, we'll get into that. I think it's gonna be
a very fun Monday night. Hopefully I can watch it
from my apartment if I'll be at a bar somewhere.
But we can talk about that later.
Speaker 6 (27:26):
I'm guessing you have YouTube TV as well.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
I do.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Indeed, Disney is a.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Yeah, yes I was.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
I was trying to be nice about it, but I
couldn't find the words.
Speaker 6 (27:39):
I'm not gonna be nice.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
It's bullshit.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
If they're charging your fucking ninety dollars a month, they
can figure it out.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Well.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
I went and checked like all of my subscriptions the
other day or yesterday, and I didn't realize that Disney
jumped up Disney Plus by like ninety dollars last year.
I didn't even realize it. And they're doing it again, crazy, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (28:04):
I mean, well yeah, essentially.
Speaker 5 (28:07):
Honestly, if you pay all those fucking subscriptions, you're paying
just as much as you would on your fucking cable bill.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
No, the subscriptions, honestly weren't as much as I thought
there would be.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
But either way, I don't know if he's going to
start on Monday night. I don't. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
I don't think. I don't think he will. I think
it'll probably be either Bennett or Jackson, but he might
get some snaps.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
Yeah, we'll see. I mean, like again, I don't know
if he's ready. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
You know, I don't know the injury side of it
with them. I mean, you can't get traded if you're
if you're that banged up, So that's not it. I mean,
I maybe he does, you know, I would love it.
I would love for him to go all in and
be like, hey, that's our corner. That's why we went
out and got him, you know, that's why we traded
it for him. We believe he can start in this
leg and the only thing holding the back is it's
(28:58):
been his injuries.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
That's the way how he made it seem like right
and in the pressers and and and in media stuff
that he's talked. It made it feel like that that
he was really banged up by the injuries. And then Tommy,
when you bring in the fact that he's not really
a you know, a man and man corner as well,
then you're like, all right, let's put two and two
together here. Let's use our you know, our investigative skills,
(29:22):
you know, Johnny Airports and uh and see what's going.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
On here, ye see what we come up with and yeah,
thing will come up with it. He probably still the play. Yeah,
I don't know, John. I wouldn't worry about a j John.
I mean I want to I would play that devil's
advocate if we didn't win a Super Bowl, I'd play
the devil's advocate.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Maybe if I didn't believe in the culture.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Listen, man, like how he hit the nail on the
head yesterday when when he when he talked about it.
You know, there there's a reason he's still here. There's
a reason he still should be here. We're trying to
win super Bowls, right, We're not. This ain't the choir club.
It's ain't it's ain't church.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Right.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
I don't need everybody to be perfect. But the guy
doesn't get in trouble off the field. The worst distraction
he gives you is a tweet once in a while.
Guy wants the football because he's great. He wants to
help his team win. I don't find any need that
you find me the ball. You find me that that
elite athlete that doesn't want the ball in their hands
(30:26):
or doesn't think that the ball in their hands helps
their team win.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
I mean, I don't want that.
Speaker 7 (30:31):
I don't want that music.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
I don't want you. Then if you don't want the football,
then why would I want you?
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Like we talk about it as like infielders and balls
go up in the air, like want the baseball, right
and in baseball want the baseball. You gotta want it
to catch it. If you don't want it, I don't
know what you're gonna do with that flyball. Then if
you don't want it, Like if you're an infielder, you
want the ball hit on the ground.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
You you believe in yourself, h hit all hit every
out to me.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
Hey we're playing twenty one out, so they hit all
twenty one to me because we'll win, Like I won
that belief. And guys I don't want the opposite. I
don't want now it's cool, I don't ever want the ball.
Like we know, we know you're here to win, but
we still want you to have the We still want
you to get the full.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
Well, there's two things in sports that make a lot
of like noise, go away winning and contract extensions that
pay one hundred million dollars. So I think he's probably fine.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Yeah, yeah, super Bowl extension, well before Super you know
what I mean.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
But like, yeah, he got his extension last year before
the Super Bowl, won a Super Bowl. You can't be
unhappy now, Like you know, he'sn't happy, maybe because he's
not getting football as much. But when you have another
wide receiver on the other side, and Saquon Barkley and
you know, a solid top five, top whatever you want
to say, Goddard, is that end?
Speaker 3 (31:51):
Like and then.
Speaker 4 (31:53):
Jalen will run with his feet anyway. Like, Look, you're
not going to get twenty targets a game. You're not
Jamar Chase down fifty points every week. Right, It's not
gonna happen. But you know, hey, I.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
Mean I'm not I'm not too worried about a j either.
I don't think he was like a team obliterator that
used to wear an Eagle uniform doing sit ups in
his fucking driveway.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
So that was that. Yeah, that was m I loved you.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Yeah, second, we love that guy. Yeah, such a cryptic
tweet out every once in a while, and the whole
and the whole meeting just goes b nas all.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
This started from some random New New England Patriots guys
saying Alway should trade for a J.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Brown.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Yeah, dude, trade for a J.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
Brown.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
That's a great idea.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Yeah, you are trying to win a Super Bowl. You're
not going to trade a J.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Brown to a team that is one of the better
teams in the other conference, right, Like.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Hey, a great coach.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Contention, great coach, We know, we know what they got
over there, and now we're gonna go give them that
Drake May doesn't have. That sounds smart, That sounds like
a great idea, and I guess we will probably see
we won't get there football, Like, we won't get there
if we traded a J.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
Brown.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
You know what message are you sending your football team
if you if you trade a J. Brown that we're
not trying to win as we're going all in the win.
And that's the other reason that he's trade is great
because when when players see that you're going all in,
and I mean all in. I'm not saying you're you're
you're giving up the farm here, but you're you know
(33:33):
that you're making moves to try to better better this
football team for a stretch run. It gets even more buying.
Not that you didn't not that you didn't have it
with this roster, but it gets even a little bit more.
It is a perfect time we're coming off to buy healthy.
Let's go eat now.
Speaker 3 (33:49):
You I mean you heard that same sentiment Tommy real
quick about the Philly's ready to trade deadline, you know,
and but that sentiment of hey, we need to do
something here right well there it works out or not.
I just you know how that purked out. But something
needed to happen, right.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
Yeah, Well, Badter did hit the Unlike most of the
guys in the lineup, Baer did have a little bit.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Of yeah, I'm not doing this.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Yeah one game, mhm, where's gonna keep driving?
Speaker 3 (34:22):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Not doing it.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
There'll be a time and place that they're talk about.
The night is not that time and place. Yeah, I
don't know who starts, guys. I know it's been everybody
keeps asking who starts Monday night at corner on. I
don't know, Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I don't
(34:46):
get paid enough for that answer. I'll leave that one
the VIC and then VIC I trust. So yeah, I
trusted that guy and they and they get into that
game a little bit too, you know, and we can
even dive into the next two.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
The next two we're tough games.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
You go Green Bay Monday night football, come back short week,
you got Detroit here on Sunday night football.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
So two primetime games. I always feel like this.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
I feel like this team shows up in primetime moments still. Uh,
they're known that they're known to play better football in
those moments. I'm excited for it. You know, just to
give a quick score prediction, is it banged on football team?
You're we're going down and seeing on Monday night twenty.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Degree twenty degree play level though or playing twenty degrees?
Speaker 2 (35:30):
You know? This is this.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
This plays to who we are with this offensive line healthy.
It plays our physicality, It plays with what we want
to do on both sides of the football.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
I believe it.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, I don't like the twenty for the bodies. But
this is the game we're going down there. You know,
they lose, they lose, probably argue with their their best
weapon on the outside, even though it was a tight
end and crafts for the year. Uh, they have some
other guys banged up too, and some guys on defense,
and their defense is still good. So that could be
(36:04):
and you know, it could be an issue. Right if
they can get after the quarterback, if they can do
some of those things, maybe that's it. Maybe that's where
I could see them giving us some trouble maybe, right,
just trying to look for things. Uh, but how they
played on Sunday versus Carolana was a joke. So you're
gonna get some hungry guys. You're gonna get guys that
are playing with their hair on fire on Monday nights.
(36:25):
So you gotta you gotta withstand that, right, you gotta
withstand that storm because that will die out if you
die it out, right, if you die that.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Out, it will die out.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
And what I mean by that, you get off the
field on third down, you create you stay on the
field on third down. You know that that rush and
that fight that they're gonna they're gonna give early in
this football game.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
I'm not gonna say it goes away, but you quiet,
you quiet, so you know, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
I can see it's getting off the little slow start
just for you know, a little breather right naturally you
can see that. Not Russ, but you guys know what
I'm saying. You can see maybe a little of that,
or get off or your first place. Your scripted ones
are delicious. So I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go thirty one.
I'm gonna go thirty one, twenty one. I think it's
(37:19):
a it's a double digit win. I don't I don't
think they're.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
I don't think they're good enough to have time any
place faced joldan Love. We picked them off three times,
so I'm gonna go back to that and say we
have his number and let's go.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Yeah. I'm kind of the same way liked tight In
in the type of game it is. I've never really
bought into the Packer hype. I thought they were severely
overrated last year. This year, Peter Lafleur, I don't really
think is that great of a coach. Uh And I
think he chokes in big moments when it comes down
to play calling. You look at all their wide receivers.
(37:57):
They're all little guys.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
You know.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
We talk about aj Brown, you know, and just being
like a special wide receiver to compliment, you know, a
little guy right in DeVante. They don't have that specimen
any especially now that Craft is hurt. Right, they don't
have that guy. Uh so they're gonna be very run heavy,
you know, something that we don't do very well, right
you know, or have so this year, uh we are,
(38:21):
We're gonna have to stop uh Josh Jacobs. So, but
I don't think they I don't think they have the power,
you know, I don't think they have enough you know,
power house whatever or you know, whatever it is. I'm
throwing a blank in my mind. Uh to put Then
they compete with us, like I don't not to say
(38:41):
they can't compete with us, but I don't see how
they're a two and a half point favorite. Like that
just blows my mind. It blows my mind. So I'm going, yeah,
but I think like with Wordy Eagles, you know what
I mean, you were six champions with nobody hurt. They
just lost their best whipping weapon.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Yeah, uh yeah, I think it's cause that they played
last week and and Vegas.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Vegas is gonna cater that because people are gonna assume
that they're not gonna lay two eggs. And I'm not
saying losing os is laying an egg, but they're not
gonna lose two straight games at home because Vegas bollys there.
They are a Super Bowl contender because of Michael Parsons.
If Michael Parsons didn't go there, nobody'll.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
Be talking like that.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
I mean, that's my that's my honest opinion on the
Green Bay Packers. I am not impressed or scared of
them even a little bit.
Speaker 4 (39:36):
Yeah, you shouldn't be.
Speaker 5 (39:37):
Michael Parsons had exactly zero pressures last week against the Panthers.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
YEP. I hate to say what Jerry's right, but like
that's that that was a smart trade for Jerry Jones.
I keep saying it.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
I mean, I probably would have liked for them, if
I'm a Cowboys man, to get a third in that too, right,
like two first and a third and you know, something
a little bit higher too.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
But I mean, you know it's just when you're now.
They traded one for for a defensive linement.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
But you still you still got you still got two
defensive tackles out of it and a first if you
really think about it. So you traded Michael Parsons if
you really want to be fair to Jerry for five seconds,
which I don't like to be fair to Jerry, but
I will.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
I'll call things out. We see it here and I'll
continue to do that.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
But you got Kenny Clark and Quinin Williams and a
first for Michael Parsons.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
I'm not telling you everybody in the country signing up
to do that deal. But I think about it. When
I went up the middle and their biggest issue was
their run defense. Yeah, you know, at least he's going
and trying to address and it's still a problem.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
They're not. I mean, they're better than they were yesterday
obviously because he's a good football. I mean they're not.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
You know, they're not.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
You know again, it's the deal, like move, Yeah, they
got a guy for two more years. They got first
round picks common you know, so I see what they're
trying to do. So like I can't, I can't hate
on it.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
You know, they're closer than some teams in this division.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
Yeah, uh, thirty seventeen, bird thirty.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
Seventeen, four, twenty six for twenty six.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
Yeah, I'm went on, Berto, I'm with you, so that
wouldn't training a j Ferralder.
Speaker 4 (41:29):
You didn't realize you did realize what name you said
when you said the Packers coach, right.
Speaker 3 (41:34):
Peter l Floor Yeah, okay, Yeah, that's why I call
him that all the time.
Speaker 6 (41:38):
I think his brother Matt actually coaches tea.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
Oh I know who coached the team.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Yeah, a shot that.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
He's an average yeah hmm yeah, geez, I got over
on you guys. Wow.
Speaker 4 (41:51):
No, I was laughing when you made the reference. I
just didn't know if like they called.
Speaker 2 (41:56):
It or not. But yeah, no, I first, god, damn
shout right. I mean, I'm here, Tom, here under the
weather man.
Speaker 4 (42:03):
You never know. Blue game is right. Yeah, I could
not agree more. And that the Green Bed Packers are overrated.
I think all of their receivers are exactly the same.
They all get hurt, they all maybe have one good
catch a game, and that's about it. Josh Jacobs is
(42:25):
pretty good.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Cool.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
I think Jordan Love's overrated. I think that if Jordan
Love played for the for Vegas, Uh, nobody will be
talking about. I think it's like because he's playing for
such a historic franchise and the two guys before him
were both Hall of famers, Like, oh, this guy's got
to be a Hall of Famer, then I think he sticks.
(42:49):
I think that you know, you guys are pretty spot
on about Matt Lafleur losing in big spots, like they've
always been all the Pats and Packers year as Packers
year a package year. It's not the package here twice
last year, right, both in like nationally televised games, right,
I think I think that this game has a possibility
(43:10):
of getting to a blowout, but I do think that
we're gonna end up being in like a slow start aspect.
But I do believe that Jordan Love will turn the
football over at least twice, if not more than that
Birds win thirty four seventeen.
Speaker 5 (43:31):
Yeah, I mean, I agree with you there about Jordan Love.
I think he's an average quarterback, uh to be to
be honest, Yeah, I mean I Clambeo is a tough
is a tough place to play. But and yes, you know,
I can see where some would say they would have
(43:51):
a hard time seeing the Packers drop too in a
row at home. Well, guess what they're dropping to in
a row at home. I think I think the Eagles
will go out there and get the job done as
far as the score goes. You know what, We're a
(44:13):
well rested football team and we have a little extra
ammunition with us now thanks to this trade, these trades
that were made.
Speaker 6 (44:23):
I'm gonna go thirty eight seventeen.
Speaker 5 (44:31):
I think they have a I think they I think
it's gonna be a nice night out at Lambeau and
I think it's gonna be very quiet in those stands.
Speaker 6 (44:42):
I think thirty eight to seventeen. I like, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (44:48):
Look, something tells me, and I know with all this
talk about AJ and the media, something tells me he
has a really big night.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
I think too.
Speaker 5 (44:59):
AJ brand On touchdowns one one hundred and thirty, one
hundred and thirty five yards receiving.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
The Packers.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Real quick about the Packers. Guys, they want to throw
the football, Okay, they don't. They don't run the football.
I don't even want to say like a high clip.
I mean, Jacob's having three point eight yards of carry.
Now he's got ten toadies, you know. Jordan, Jordan Love
will running a little bit and Emmanuel Wilson probably had
a little bit more production yards per carry than Jacob's.
(45:33):
But you know that's not really what they what they
want to do though. You know, pass yards are tenth
in football. Rush average there twenty fourth in football. Uh
pats average their third rush attempts or twelfth, So I
mean they're sort of like they're semi bounced with it.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
But you know, rush yards are seventeen.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Makes sense, so I feel like they want to be
they want to be balanced attack, but they do put
it in Jordan Love's handle a good amount too.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
So yeah, someone that throws it. He made last week
were just what are you doing?
Speaker 4 (46:15):
Yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
I didn't look at a well, that's why I wanted
to say the whole time.
Speaker 5 (46:20):
I didn't look at a forecast. But I'm assuming it's
we're just looking at cold and not much, not much
in the way of precip or wind or any of that.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
What I will say is last week for the Green
Bay Packers was the simplest and Caroline is not bad
football team. That's a look ahead, Okay, that's what that is.
And I'm gonna and That's what I'm gonna say about that.
That's what frauds do. That's what fraud football teams do.
They look ahead and get caught with your pants down, right,
(46:55):
And that's what happened to.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
That at all. So you can look all ahead all day, right.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
And then what happens is you go and lose Tucker
Craft for the rest of the season in that football game.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
Who has your most receiving touchdowns and Romeo Dobbs.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
The second with four right there, you're there, there, You're
they're pretty much your passing touchdown. That's pretty much who
they're who they're going to out of your main weapons. Okay,
the other guys who have touchdowns literally is Savion Williams
who has seven receptions, John Fitzpatrick who has five receptions,
(47:33):
and Jayden Reid who has three receptions, who.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
I believe just came back. Let's play two games. But
there it is.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
You lose six touchdowns from this football team when the
when they're Tucker Kraft, so you know that that hurts.
When he's son thirteen, So essentially half of your touchdown
pants is going to that player.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
Again, not sure who his backup is, but he probably
isn't him.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
No, definitely not him.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
But that's a freaking fraud.
Speaker 4 (48:09):
Yeah, I think that's like us.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
That's like us overlooking the Giants going into a bye.
You know, it can't happen. It can't happen, like you
can't overlook, can't overlook somebody? What a game like the
game looming? Now you can say we did that against
the Giants. I don't think we overlood the Giant. I
think thats Thursday night football and Giants super Bowl, and
so I think it was a combo. Now you know
(48:33):
you're not looking ahead this Sunday night with Detroit. So
I think this is the start of us running on
a little run here.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
This is what I think.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
I think the next two weeks start the statement ship.
All right, statement talk starts coming around and this team,
the team buffs their chests a little bit the next
two weeks, which I which I mean again, if Detroit
want to buy this week.
Speaker 3 (48:59):
No, Detroit plays the comedies.
Speaker 4 (49:03):
Okay, that might be another little that might be another
little look ahead game right there with No.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
Well, they can't look because they just lost the game.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
The state lost to a Week one two, so they
can't look at either. We're playing three teams that that
did their same things.
Speaker 3 (49:21):
Now again, Tommy, Oh, you say you talk about like
fraud teams, right, Like fraud teams do these year at
you know, year in it or year a game at
the game. You know there's two losses to the Packers.
Losses that are Browns and the Panthers. Now, Panthers are
a good team, but you were a double digit favorites
in that game. You're a double digit favorite. Lions lose
(49:44):
to the Vikings. I get a divisional game, but again
double digit favorites and JJ McCarthy coming back from injury.
There's no reason you lose that game. We lost the Giants,
and we turn it around and lost again, but then
we rebound the.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
Other way.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
That's right. Yeah, that was then there was Jalen's best game. Right.
So no, I love when you said fraud fraud teams
because that's that's really what they are.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Yeah, And I think they're good, like you know, in
their playoff team, they're good, or they should be, but
they're not. They're not a super Bowl contender to me,
They're just not. They just haven't been. And I think
they got some good players. I'm not saying they don't
Like I said, they got some good guys over on
that defense. Xavier McKinnie is a guy I like a
ton always have. You know, they got they got players
(50:35):
over there. So Rashan Garry is a good player.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
Like they got.
Speaker 1 (50:39):
You know, I don't want to take anything away from
that defense. I mean Gary's got seven as sacks, Parsons
got six and a half. I mean they're good. They'll
get after you, right like, they absolutely will get after you.
So you know that that's there, that's their strength when
you look at that. But I also think you can
run the football on them too. So this is this
This could be a good week for us continuing getting
(51:03):
the running game back going, especially when it's twenty degrees right.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
You know, how are we feeling, Philly fan, We're feeling
delicious baby. Oh yeah, let's go.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
Let's go get a win and get ready for Detroit
and try to get to in a row here against
two good football teams and really make this statement, uh,
players of the game.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
I went before to buy, so I'm gonna go back
to I'm gonna go back to the to the well
on this one.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
Uh pretty close last week last week, I think I
was close. I think I nailed it almost had like
two tuddies, and I think I said two big runs,
but he had the one big one one monster run.
But I was close. So I'm gonna say. I'm gonna
say it goes for one toutties Barkley offense a MVP.
Speaker 3 (51:57):
I love that. I will go. I will go TD Merchant,
I'll go TD Merchant. Uh Dallas got it. He gets another.
I think it's an art two one one, some type
of show shovel pass, you know, weird formation and then
(52:19):
one legit touchdown.
Speaker 4 (52:24):
Yeah, I was gonna go got her, But that's fine
because I still have that him. Uh stiff arming whoever.
It was Divisional round last year, not the Vision round,
Wild color run. No, give me Jalen Man, give me Jalen.
Give me. He's gonna throw. He's not gonna have a
(52:47):
big throwing day. I do think Seque's gonn run a
little bit. He's gonna he's gonna throw for like two ten.
We're gonna have four all four total touchdowns, four total touchdowns.
You gonna have two passing and two rushing. You have
two hundred and ten passing yards another fifty on the ground.
Right complete game out of this guy, he's gonna go.
(53:09):
He's gonna go nineteen for twenty four.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
For two touchdowns. Look about nineteen for twenty four?
Speaker 3 (53:19):
Like that? Love that? Oh, Bertough, I would love seventy
three touch bushes to start.
Speaker 4 (53:26):
Oh, that would be phenomenal.
Speaker 3 (53:30):
All first drive, touch blush.
Speaker 4 (53:32):
Now for first and goal from the ten, we'll touch
plush four times.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
Go get it, can do it? Why can't wait?
Speaker 4 (53:40):
Hey, Josh Allens more touchbuss touchdowns this year than Jalen
Hurst does and they voted against the touch plush, So hey,
what's up with it?
Speaker 6 (53:47):
Maybe they finally learned the lesson if you can't beat them,
join them.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
Yeah, seems to be so.
Speaker 6 (53:56):
My offensive player of the game, give me a j Brown.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
And uh.
Speaker 5 (54:04):
On the defensive side of the ball, look, he's a
great corner. He can cover like hell. But he's gonna
finally show his hands. Quinnon Mitchell picked six.
Speaker 3 (54:18):
Oh, so talk thirty to me? Putting out thirty? I mean,
I guess when you haven't putting out thirty eight points,
you need a defensive scorer in there somewhere, or or
just the offense is just running seven on sevens.
Speaker 1 (54:32):
He's got seven on sevens. You know this guy, Yeah,
this guy operates defensive side, is a good one.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
I mean, I can't think of a better way to
get his get his first pick six than on Monday
night football on the big stage.
Speaker 8 (54:55):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Yeah, I'm gonna go. H we do we do not.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
We get a lot of pressure, but we did not
get after the quarterback like we did not get him down.
Speaker 2 (55:10):
I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go, jail Carter.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
I mean, when's he when's he gonna when's he gonna
break out in the statue He's close?
Speaker 3 (55:16):
Yeah, good moments, yep, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:19):
When's he gonna break out?
Speaker 1 (55:20):
You know, now you expect him to be him to
be fully healthy, you know, any wrist injuries, anything like that.
Give me, give me, give me two sacks out of him,
crip sack, a little strippy poo will give me that.
Speaker 3 (55:36):
Well that's mine before uh, before I get into mind.
You know what's interesting about the Joe and Phillips. Have
you guys watched any of the film that's been out there.
Miami's lined him up a little bit of guard so
we can use his speed and its power to get
around around I'm sorry, inside a tackle. So we could
go up against the guards like imagine like running like
(55:59):
for the ends with jam mc garter.
Speaker 4 (56:01):
Amazing.
Speaker 3 (56:03):
It's that's what I'm saying. So Vic's got a ton
of things to play with. And again you get another
traditional defensive end. Now you can move Jahad back to
his traditional stand up linebacker and and and and allow
him to do some things too. Again going back to
the to the poll in the move. That's why I
love it so much. Uh, but I'm gonna go with
(56:26):
my guy, ed Reid, ed red blanketship. But he hasn't
been well, so I need to get rid of game.
He hasn't. I've been trying to get him. I've been
trying to talk him into existence. Uh, but he hasn't.
I mean he doesn't haven't played bad, but he hasn't
played great. He hasn't played great this year. And uh,
and we need him to be great this week because they're,
like you said, Tommy, they're gonna throw the football. They're
(56:46):
gonna throw the football. So I'm gonna go, uh two
past two pass deflections and an I.
Speaker 7 (56:52):
N t to go with ten tackles. We need we
need it, we do, Yeah, we need it.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
He hasn't played great. He hasn't played bad either.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
I would be interested to see how he grades out
in places that do grading, because like, sometimes you don't
hear a guy and it doesn't mean.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
He's doing bad, right, Yeah, yeah, he means he's having
like he's having a pro year. He's just he's just
doing the right things.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
He's just there. Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Yeah, sometimes you don't hear from safety's. It's not always
a bad thing. But I would really like to see
how he's graded out to get a better idea on
where where he having He's having a good one or
a bad one. I really, I really can't tell you.
I can tell you for my eyes that Coop's having
a really good one. I can tell you for my
eyes that Q's having a solid one. You know, I
(57:49):
think he's at his moments and and he also could
beat because corners get beating this leg.
Speaker 2 (57:54):
So you know those two guys. I thought Coop has
had a good year for a rookie.
Speaker 1 (58:00):
Yeah, get thrown into it. You know, he wants to
hitch you, he wants to be and he wants to
get his beak wet. You know, he's been around the
football so jaj Yeah, that one, you know, you're like, whoa,
that's a home run. That's a home runner right there. So,
I mean, you know some guys you can tell they
had good years for the most part. But this D
(58:21):
line needs to get home and they need to stop
the goddamn run, all right, they need to stop the
goddamn run. And this is this a nutsack game. And
it's twenty degrees in Lambeau. You know, it expects uf
in Josh Jacobs belly. And if you can stifle the
run early and you can force them into passing and
let some of these guys that you've got in here
(58:42):
now and let the dogs off the leash a little bit,
and you know, have those those three man D line
d N type fronts with Jay when carters your fourth
right and play a little player, you know, play a little.
Speaker 2 (58:54):
Possum and ship, you know what I mean. Let's go,
let's go.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
I mean, this is a game we can come out
and kick somebody's ass. Is this statement game in the NFL.
I'm tired of hearing about the goddamn Seattle Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (59:04):
So now I'm back to it.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
When I ain't playing in the Seattle Seahawks. I'm tired
of hearing about the teams that aren't as good. That
doesn't mean he can't Cinderella runs. That doesn't mean any
of that. Okay, But if you're gonna sit here or
at goddamn eleven twenty six on a Wednesday night, November fifth,
and tell me Sam Donald and the Seattle Seahawks or
a super Bowl contender knocking the hell off. Okay, their
(59:28):
defense really good. I'm not taking anything away from them
as a football team. That's not what I'm doing here.
I think they got a lot of talent. Man, they
absolutely do, all right, they got They got an absolute
pimp at the wide receiver position.
Speaker 2 (59:41):
Pimp.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
The end of the day, this is still Sam Donald.
It's the same Sam Donald who got out to a
hot star in Minnesota too. It's the same Sam Donald. Like,
holy crap, we think the zebra same change the damn stripes?
Like can we can we lock in?
Speaker 3 (59:59):
Can we?
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
I'm not telling you he's not gonna have a great year.
I'm not telling you're not a playoff team that. That's
not what I'm saying. I'm telling you they ain't a
damn super Bowl contender. So you want to get fulled
by the first half a season stuff, right, you want
to get fooled by that stuff, be my guests. But
the real Sam Dorner will stand up. I don't know
when it's coming. I don't know when it's happening with
(01:00:23):
that mother. You know what, we'll see ghosts at some point.
So the little blowjobs going on on Monday night football
and all the handy's going around for Sammy, okay, knock
it off, not get off.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
I've heard enough of it. This is why I'm fired. Yeah,
this is why I'm jad stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
We're not even playing them right now because I want
to go smack smack around the Packers and Lions right now.
I want to go play with play around with my
food a little bit, you know what I mean. I
don't want to I want to smack it around because
I had enough. I had enough of hearing about all
these other teams, like you're going to buy week people
forget about you, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
We're six until we're the damn reigning Super Bowl champions.
So you don't be shy.
Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
Don't be shy at the sprinkle us in a little
bit in conversations, because the national media, all right, is
rock solid over God damn Daniel Jones and Sam Dark
That's what we're rock solid about.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
So enjoy that rock solid.
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Yeah, because in a year from now, they're gonna need
viagra to get not even a year in six weeks
from now the National MEETI is gonna need by Acre
to get hard.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
By those two.
Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
Now, Danil Jones, Dan Jones can't.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Have a resurrection, There's no question about that, or in erection,
whatever you want to say here.
Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
In this moment. But I think the culture are really
good football, and.
Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
I think they're better than Seattle, all right, but I
don't do not trust Sam Donald one bit.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
You can make a case for me to trust.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Daniel Jones, right because when you talk to former teammates,
guys love them so like maybe it was the New
York thing, the Donald thing.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
I know, No, I know the New York thing. Though.
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Nope, Nope, not doing it. You're not having both. You're
not having to Cinderella stories. Oh here's the two teams
are gonna they're gonna meet up in the super Bowl.
If they made him in the super Bowl, I'll jump
off the top of my roof. Okay, if there are
the two teams that standing, I'll jump off the top
of my roof. You heard it here, You heard it here.
Handy for Sammy, all right, and he's for Sammy. That's
(01:02:24):
what's going around here. You shut that ship down, all right.
I want to play Seattle ten dimes in a row
and beat him nine and beat him not. We'll be
seeing ghosts'll be seeing ghosts.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
For a month, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
A month after they'll see who have PTSD for just
the evils and vic Oh I can't, can't Orlawski literally
had his whole thing in his mouth. The whole thing
was in his mouth. Oh my god, we get it, dude,
who do you play? I forget who they played? Who
(01:02:55):
they play?
Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
Was like, oh yeah, which with nobody.
Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
They beat up by thirty points?
Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
Yeah, no, wide receivers played and you were to throw
the leads in the boom like no McLaurin. They all
they had with debout, little fat ass run around so
stop it, and he loves them. Hend that's all right.
This is the class of the state.
Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
What Yeah, the Rams get some get some glades into
and they've beat nobody.
Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
The Rams can get the glades because at least like
at least they they'll they give they'll give us a
run for our money if we see him, if we
see him in the postseason, right, we know they will,
we just know, we just know they will.
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
And that's fine. But we beat them too, I mean,
we beat them already, So you can miss.
Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
Me on the Rams.
Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
You already loves you already.
Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
Nobody knows that's right, Yeah, but you mean it nobody
this year? How are people putting you ahead of us?
Like you lost us already?
Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
The Rams couldn't even hold a twenty six to seven
lead in the second half against us.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
No, you lost them. How are you better than us?
Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
All right?
Speaker 4 (01:04:07):
So if anyone want to hear my defensive player of
the game or no?
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Is it Sam Donald?
Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
Sam Donald?
Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Actually?
Speaker 4 (01:04:19):
No, who's got Fred? Who's got the freshest legs in
the league right now? He's got the freshest legs in
the league right now? Who hasn't played it all this year?
Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
Bennett?
Speaker 4 (01:04:30):
No, who's actually good? Brandon Graham Man, come.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
On now, okay, mans.
Speaker 4 (01:04:40):
Legs, we little fresh legs. He's gonna be chopping at
the bit man.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
He was busy.
Speaker 4 (01:04:46):
Yeah, he's gonna he's gonna be out there on on
Monday night. You know, no sleeves on Brandon Graham, which
is just what he does. He's gonna shut down the
run game. He's gonna get himself a sack. I was like,
oh my god, Brandon Graham's.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
Back and we're going a few year deal and then yeah, forty.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
P g will come back again. We'll come back.
Speaker 4 (01:05:12):
Just keep offering him like cases of beer or no,
yeah case what was what was Sirianni giving Kelsey? Keep
giving him that gives yeah tags, I can remember the name.
Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
Kegs of beer.
Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
Hey, come on, please beers beer.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
Have a good year.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
We thought the last year probably wouldn't give him the tags. Uh,
probably drank too much.
Speaker 6 (01:05:45):
Maybe I've never done that.
Speaker 4 (01:05:51):
Never happened, Never happened. No, it's not a single time.
M all right. It's tough Man's gonna smoke Green Bank.
Speaker 7 (01:06:04):
Yeah, I think they gonna smoke Green Band one.
Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
Smoke show.
Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
I think they're gonna roll that back and they're gonna
they're gonna whoop. They're gonna whoop the lion's ass on
on Sunday Night too.
Speaker 4 (01:06:21):
Yeah, another team that I think. Again, they're good, but
I do think they're a bit overrated. Yeah, they're good,
not great, just like the Packers.
Speaker 3 (01:06:29):
Good, not great.
Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
Now they can do a lot to us because that
they can run the ball by, run the ball against.
That's the whole all conversations on the table.
Speaker 4 (01:06:38):
Yeah, I mean Gibbs. Gibbs scares me a lot more
than Jacobs does. Right, and they have Montgomery too. It's
like again like that's a solid team. But like, didn't
didn't sewell get hurt this past week, didn't sell get hurt?
Speaker 3 (01:06:50):
I think?
Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
So, Yes, if he's out. If he's out, it's like,
you know, the only guy you can say rivals Lane
Johnson in the right tackle department in the NFL, Like
that changes their offensive line completely.
Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
So he expects to play, but he missed practice this week, all.
Speaker 4 (01:07:11):
Right, No, so he'll be hampered slightly. Yeah, but again,
like you know, those big guys, they as we've seen
with our offensive line, these guys they a little banged up.
It takes them longer to heal, right, like his shoulder. Yeah,
we've seen Cam dealing with We've seen Land and deal
with it.
Speaker 5 (01:07:30):
Bay.
Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
But you know, while we're here and chat, what's the
weather look like in South Philadelphia next Sunday night? You
know where we look at what's what's the dome team
coming into and I know they're off.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
I know they're tough. I know they are.
Speaker 4 (01:07:47):
I can't see that far now, but it's high have
fifty three next Friday, So I it's I.
Speaker 2 (01:07:54):
Guess you can't see you can't find out that one.
Speaker 4 (01:07:56):
Yeah, I mean I didn't look up. You know, I
ain't going the weather weather dot com or anything.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
But yeah, I'm just curious, curious.
Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
It would probably be a brisk forty five, maybe able
to win.
Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
I think you could be wrong. Maybe I think you're
I think you're not giving the Northeast enough credit. Right now,
I'll find out right now. Oh was it the sixteen right?
Speaker 3 (01:08:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
Yeah, forty one overnight chance of rain forty that's what
we're looking at.
Speaker 6 (01:08:30):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
Uh injury report packers Craft obviously out, don Tavion Wicks
was questionable or is questionable, Lucas Fannet's just questionable, Nate
Hobbes doubtful, and Matthew Golden questionable. So two wide receivers
in a d ND are all questionable.
Speaker 4 (01:08:51):
Yeah, I think Jayden Reeds still on.
Speaker 2 (01:08:52):
I are so.
Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Yeah read it read score two touchdowns against it?
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
In uh.
Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
In wats his face last year Brazil.
Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
Yeah, yeah, no, he's back. Jayden Reeves playing.
Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
Eagles are ten and four against the spread in their
last fourteen. The over is five and one in the
eagles last six games. Some trends here. Eagles are four
to one against the spread in their last five games
versus the Packers. Eagles are eight and two against the
spread in their last ten road games. Eagles have won
nine straight games against NSC North opponents.
Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
That's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (01:09:39):
Packers are one and five against the spread in their
last six, the Unders twelve and five in the last
seventeen meetings before between these two teams and the last one.
The over is eight and two in the Packers last
ten games versus NFC eats opponents. So it sounds like
the over is going to hit.
Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
Well, it sounds like that one uh one. We play
well there, yes, that's what.
Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
And weed scared ghost and.
Speaker 1 (01:10:06):
We and we are knowing to run the football well
there for whatever reason. And that goes back to Doug.
You know, I remember running the football well there when
he when he was here, you know, And I'm sure
we did it with other regimes as well. It just
feels like a place that we go and we've had
some success. I mean I think Jay through the first
touchdown pass.
Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
There when what he came in, Yeah, he came in
relief at that time.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
That was the greg Ward. It was the greg Ward.
Speaker 4 (01:10:31):
Greg Ward loved me some greg Ward, man.
Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
I think it was love me.
Speaker 4 (01:10:36):
Jane Reed will return week thirteen or fourteen. So he's
still out.
Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
He's out again.
Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
Because he's still out, they're a little peekaboo.
Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
Hey I'm here knowing that.
Speaker 4 (01:10:47):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
I'm hurt again.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
Yeah, thanks guys, just like all the other wide receivers.
Speaker 1 (01:10:51):
But listen, it's setting up now again. They they got
to stop the run, man. I mean they haven't done
a great job of it. We've talked, talked about it.
They gotta stop the run. It starts Monday night. Because
you've got two teams that can run the football on you.
They like one that can go speed and physicality, and
then this week where they can sort of hit you
(01:11:12):
with the same thing with their two backs right where
they hit you with physical and they hit you with
what a change the pace guy, So you know, they
gotta stop the goddamn run. If you put Jordan Love
in pantsing situations.
Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
It's a rap. Monday Night. It's a rat.
Speaker 1 (01:11:28):
That's how I feel about it. And I think, gentle,
I think Jordan loves a better quarterback than you guys
think he is. But I also don't put him in my.
Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
Like elite categories or stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
But that is a that's a franchise quarterback, and a
lot of a lot of teams would like that, right
Farvara Rogers, That's not what I'm saying, But that's a
franchise quarterback. You'll you'll probably go to the postseason win
him every year. He's a good quarterback. He's a good
quarterback in this league. So I'm not going to take
that away from him. And he can't he can't carve
your ass up.
Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Tip. So he looked bad last week, get.
Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
It, you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
I got it?
Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
You know they tied the teams, they really in my opinion,
they got three losses. That's how I look at them.
When you got the tie to Dallas in there, so that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
It definitely doesn't help me to win. Calm, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
And now Ivan Dean back to Philly fan, has helped
our run game for sure. Up in the run and
then the bye.
Speaker 1 (01:12:23):
Week, he gets fresh, he gets he gets acclimated again,
and then Boom gets a great bye week mixed in
to really help that need that process a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
And now he can go boom and go. I tell
you he's going run on fifty snaps.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
I'm just saying I think the bye week came in
a great time for him specifically and this football team,
but definitely him in terms of getting back on the field.
You know, I'm shorter some you know, just deasing with
that type of knee injury. You know, I'm shorter, some
pains with it, right, guys. I'm sure there's some little
maybe information times with it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
I don't know, I see, I say, a couple of outs.
I don't know all this stuff, but.
Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Sure there is. So that being said, I'm sure the
two weeks off and the extra day, Hey, extra day.
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Appreciate appreciate you in this one. Yeah, I'm sure it
helps them. Yeah, long shory short there, but you know,
I'm excited that the at least see one new guy
out there on the field. Uh maybe maybe two, maybe
three at times. We'll see what they do with that.
But I'm excited to get another pass rusher. Is Noma
(01:13:32):
Smith back this week.
Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
Or next next, expected this week.
Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
He's just met this week too.
Speaker 3 (01:13:37):
Yeah. They opened up the practice window this week for them.
Speaker 4 (01:13:40):
Yeah, and I think the big thing there on what
they think he'll be back. They cut Patrick Johnson and
they had to make a move.
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:13:47):
Yeah, so I think the fact that they cut him
shows that they're they expected to play.
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
This week.
Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
Snap back. Not a chance in hell what I do
just so.
Speaker 1 (01:14:00):
Run nod too, yes, yeah, Nolan Smith, Brandon Graham, Yep,
you know I can't. I don't know enough about Jenlen
Phillips as a as a run stopper, but this definitely
helps us on the edges for sure, you would hope
and then to Kobe and you know, Jahad just being
(01:14:21):
a Swiss Army knife a little before us. I think
he puts us in a good spot and we think
we're getting more of that and we're just you know,
you start talking about this defense and you put a
little smile on your face because you know, there's a
lot of talent out there and a lot of things
that can Vic can do and use and Bye week
probably came in a good time for him getting to
Kobe back and then sort of scheming on different ways
(01:14:42):
he can get you hot, you know, involved more in
different different ways to get after the quarterback. Uh, you know,
coverage is whatever they want to do there. So I
think it just really helps, you know. I don't want
to overrate our moves, but it just it makes you
so deep excite.
Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
It's exactly it, Tommy, right, Like, even even if they
don't all pan out, it's the death that that benefits.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
Right, it's the four guys urge he Alexander has to
play today, Like, oh man, we're done, you know what
I mean, Like I mean a lot worse guys, right, yeah, Like,
oh we got to go to Killey Ringo, Like we're
definitely gonna lose. Like no, no, no, we're not, you
know what I mean, Like he's not awesome, but he
it's not like he's the worst player of all time either.
Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
I thought Kelley played probably better than a Dory for
the most part.
Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
That's not saying a lot, but you're talking about like, okay,
we just talk about if you line them all up across,
like none of them can play, Like you can't give
me one guy because I even thought when they went
out and made the move for the other guy, Carter,
Carter Carter no no, no, yeah, quick retirement. When they
(01:15:55):
made the move for Carter that you know there was
a chance m maybe playing the outside a little bit,
And maybe that's what Vick was thinking, Joe Douglas is thinking,
because I believe he's an outside guy in college. So
you know, sometimes that transition going back is actually easier
for a guy because it's easier to.
Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
Play on the outside, of my opinion, on the inside
at times. Now.
Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
I once you're playing Jamar Chase every week, you know,
maybe you want to go back on the inside those weeks.
But most of the time, right, I think it's a
little bit easier out there because you don't have as
much space to cover. Yeah, that's where it comes down to.
So sometimes guys can be better out there. So you know,
that's where I think he plays into this. Greg He's
gonna be ready this week. The boys just answered he'll
(01:16:39):
be back.
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
Yeah, And it looks like gi Her is gonna play too,
So I like so his injury obviously wasn't his at
least his big long term, right. I think a lot
of those those snaps and those those coverage stats that
you got, you know, oh he's a bum, He's a
bummy stinks because they are working them back in right.
And you know he said the way how he talked
about how he said he was worth he was worth
(01:17:02):
the risk. So if Allie Roseman's gonna sit there and
say he's worth the risk again, I'm gonna take his
word for it.
Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
Oh yeah, listen, if that ain't worth it, like, if
that ain't worth the risk, then nothing is, you know.
And like you said, like Baltimore this year is in
the definition of a well run football team right now.
Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
So I'm not gonna I'm not gonna take their their word.
Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
And what they do is gospel when you're getting your
asses lit up defensively. And that sample size is the
small sample side I've ever seen the history of sports.
So you know, I'm gonna go off. I'm gonna go
off his long term sample size, but I'm also gonna
go off.
Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
The long term sample size, and he's hurt a lot,
so you know what I mean. I'm gonna go off
a boat.
Speaker 1 (01:17:43):
And that's why I think. I think that's why you don't.
That's why you go get two guys makes sense. You
just don't go get him, you get another guy too.
I'm not saying he's gonna play the outside, but you
give yourself flexibility. Yeah, I don't think to Robinson is
ready snappy. Uh, I just you know, I think you
(01:18:04):
sort of want those guys to be ready to Like
Milton Williams wasn't really ready year one.
Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Now he's more ready than Ty Robinson was.
Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
He was also drafted around in front of him and
his physical his physical traits were off the charts. His
combine stuff was off the charts, So that's a little
bit different. But yeah, I still know if he's I
don't know if he's ready.
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
They like a Joe MoU obviously, And.
Speaker 1 (01:18:29):
I mean, who else is really getting snaps over him
besides the two starters, Right, you talk about Carter and Davis, Right,
Joe who gets some get some snaps in there, Byron
Young gets.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
Some snaps in there.
Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
Yeah, So I just don't.
Speaker 1 (01:18:45):
Yeah, I don't think they're I don't think they're down
on him anyway. I think it's just a guy who
needs more time. He's a fourth round pick, right or third.
I don't think he was taking the third.
Speaker 6 (01:18:57):
Wasn't a fourth round out of Nebraska.
Speaker 1 (01:19:00):
Yeah, I think he's a fourth round pick that it's physical,
but when you're six six three hundred in college, it's
gonna play a lot easier right away.
Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
You know, everybody's six six three hundred in this league.
Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
Yeah, at this level, it's also a bit of a
plight the fact that you're playing on a team that's
this good, right, So a guy that may that may play.
You know, if you're a fourth round pick on a
different team, you're probably you probably have a shot at
starting parting right, or getting a lot more snaps or
getting next in. Whereas you know, you're playing for a
team that's coming off a super Bowl win, and like
(01:19:35):
you're kind of just like all right, hey, you're behind
Jalen Carter and uh, you know Jordan Davis, good luck
getting in there right like that?
Speaker 1 (01:19:42):
Yeah, especially when Jalen Carter is one of them and
he's playing every goddamn snap.
Speaker 3 (01:19:46):
Yeah, like you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:19:48):
Yeah, if you had two rotational d tackles, he's getting snaps. Yeah,
he might get tag, but it'll get snaps when you
have too like sort of book guys at least and
one full bookend guy.
Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
Like good luck.
Speaker 1 (01:20:04):
It's like if you have the d N that's that
you know, what I mean, you gotta star d n
I gotta field. Yeah, mouth gotta isn't coming off the field.
Aaron Donald did not come up the field. Like there's
certain guys that don't come off the field. So when
you have that in front of you and now you
got one spot the pick and that guy doesn't come
off the field a ton anymore either as much.
Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
As you used to. Where where are you jumping in
at man, they're nowhere to go. You could be six
eight three forty nowhere to go here, I mean maybe
six eight three forty or somewhere to go. Maybe you
bump Jordan out of it. I don't know, but yeah, yeah,
I mean he's a good project.
Speaker 1 (01:20:44):
He's a good he's a good guy that try to
develop around these guys, and you're hoping it's a guy
that can be, you know, a rotational piece for this
football team for the next five to seven years.
Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
That's what you're hoping out of fourth round picks.
Speaker 1 (01:21:00):
If he if he's becomes Milton Williams, and that's you're
You're blessed, Yes, Lord, bless you again.
Speaker 3 (01:21:09):
Let Leah, let you get somebody else like that.
Speaker 1 (01:21:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, like the Milt Williams like remember to
what's his face? Didn't shake how he's hand? Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
Tom Donahue Yoh yeah yeah, Jake's hand that Williams, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:21:22):
Shake's hand. Well, probably shook his hand. Probably shook his
hand on the Super Bowl? I bet you, yeah, I
circle back. Yeah, they all want to use the snap back.
Everybody using no notes now, I mean everybody wants to
wants to sprinkle in, I should say with the air quotes,
(01:21:44):
no notes, been doing it for twelve years, bad.
Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
Maybe longer than that? Actually how long?
Speaker 4 (01:21:50):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:21:51):
No, it doesn't know. Everything's nineteen ninety eight for him.
I mean the idea.
Speaker 6 (01:21:59):
Oh hold on, Oh I've been up since three. I
am runn that by me one more time?
Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
How long we been doing this for? Man?
Speaker 5 (01:22:07):
Twenty thirteen? Either twelve or thirteen? S When was Chip
Kelly's first season?
Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
Twelve thirteen?
Speaker 5 (01:22:18):
Now twelve was Andy's last year in here in Philly?
We went four and twelve?
Speaker 2 (01:22:25):
Yes, I said twelve years a right, ye, right, twelve
going on thirteen?
Speaker 6 (01:22:29):
Man, Yeah, that's right, twenty holy shit, yeah, no numbers
going on? Remember studio?
Speaker 3 (01:22:36):
See, yeah, I was there, good times.
Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
I was entering good time.
Speaker 1 (01:22:48):
Over the easy w Philly Sports Talk. I actually I
like that. Appreciate you, brother.
Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
Oh yeah, I love it. That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
Tell a friend to tell motherfucking friend.
Speaker 1 (01:22:58):
You know past passed down whisp down the line, and
you know I everybody out there hasn't hit the like
subscribe follow that passed the deam line real easy. It's
been a wild run. But I'm excited for these next
these next few weeks here on the stretch run. I
(01:23:18):
should say not in the next few weeks. And you know,
we'll take this conversation into a little bit of that.
I said, you guys want to well well ten nine eight,
you do not?
Speaker 4 (01:23:28):
Ryan said, no, no, Look, hey, I'm very happy with
where the sixers are. I suppose I would have liked
them to winn win last night. That that's a brutal
loss tonight was expected, But y'all last night was it
was a rough one. When you're when you score forty
seven forty some points in the first quarter and you
(01:23:50):
score thirty some in the second half.
Speaker 2 (01:23:53):
Yeah, rough morning for me. I'm not gonna lie to
you guys that it was a rough morning for me.
Speaker 1 (01:23:56):
And I'll try to explain to you why as quick
as possible, but I gotta I got a four I
got a four piece.
Speaker 2 (01:24:02):
Over here at a four year old that is into
this ship now.
Speaker 1 (01:24:06):
And before we went the belt, I was like, cast,
we're smoking them at night night, night night.
Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
You can go to bed. It's done. It's done. I
promise it. They're not. I promised something. Dude. That dude,
that dude was up like seven. He echoes it.
Speaker 1 (01:24:24):
He goes, she probably going off in there now, as
I said, but what was the score of the sixers game?
Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
She told me she said they lost my one. And
when I when I saw him this morning, he was
losing in his mind. He's like, you said it was over.
I said it should have been, it should have been.
Speaker 3 (01:24:41):
It was it was.
Speaker 2 (01:24:42):
We wanted to stop paying. That's what happens. You can
life lesson. I thought, that's what happened when you stopped playing.
Speaker 4 (01:24:48):
You know, we said it was over forecast.
Speaker 1 (01:24:53):
Today he told me he played basketball for eight hours,
so he didn't. He told me that I didn't stop
playing that I said. I didn't mean like you can't
stop playing. I mean they they they stop playing.
Speaker 4 (01:25:04):
That's awesome, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Yeah, it's so much fun. It's so much fun when
they started.
Speaker 1 (01:25:10):
I never experienced, uh, you know obviously my guy getting
in the sports like that. But he's deep, he's deep,
he's deep into it. He's like, I like the Jets
of their colors. I say, hey, the jet stink though,
you know what I mean. And I want to find
the video because I accellently get got jet socks when
(01:25:34):
I was like eight, and I opened them and I
was like jet socks. I'm like, jet stink and I
throw them and I got to find it to show
it to them because I'm like, the Jets are stunk
for that long, Like that's how long they've stunk for.
You don't lose the color, I said, that's what that's for, mommy.
And that's for girls, I said. And no disrespect to
the females out there that aren't color coordinated when it
(01:25:56):
comes to team or they picked their teams off of colors, right,
or cheese or whatever other things you may like, right
the packers. You maybe like the cheese, right, But that's
for women. Like the women picked teams awful colors, it
said us.
Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
The guys, we.
Speaker 1 (01:26:13):
Don't, we don't, we don't do that, I mean, And
he goes a green so you're fine, you know, I mean,
like you you just fell on the ship to telling
the ship. Yeah, so he's it, but he he echoes
in the morning and finds out scores. So he's not
gonna be happy tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (01:26:27):
Now you can, you can explain what a scheduled loss
means to him.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
That's what that's that's we wanted to schedule.
Speaker 4 (01:26:41):
God no, man, but we've talked a lot about the
sixers in our group chat man, uh Tyree's Max. He's
gonna mess around being all brother demon.
Speaker 1 (01:26:53):
He's never gonna sleep again. And again he tried that
to tell that we're not doing this, like we're not.
And I say, up till ten to watch him get
their ass kicked, and then you'll be even more unhappy.
Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
And now you're definitely not going to bed.
Speaker 4 (01:27:09):
Tough night for cas. But I'm obviously I'm not happy
they lost the last two games. But I was up
in Brooklyn on Sunday night. I watched that, you know,
the Kelly Ubre first quarter that was a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
Was thirty seven and a half minutes a night.
Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
Yeah, I am.
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
I am waiting. I am waiting for VJ Edge come
to catch a body. He wants to dunk on somebody
so bad. He's tried a couple of times in Orlando.
Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
Orlando was probably the most vicious. Right now, he can't move.
Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
He's getting close, dude. I don't know when it's gonna happen,
but there's gonna be a time in like a second
quarter on like a Tuesday night where VJ Edge comes
going to catch a body and someone's be on a
poster for the rest of their life, like and not
wait for that opportunity.
Speaker 1 (01:28:04):
I can't wait for VJ Edge come to grow another
inch or two to which might even happen for him,
and to put on another twenty pounds of like muscle
and and and that's when it's gonna be a big
time problem for this lake. He's such like you can
just see the frame right and now he's gonna like
he's got more meat on the bone, per se.
Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
He's gonna be Anthony Edwards like that's what that's what
he can be. It's a matter of if he can
get there or not. But he's the same type of player.
Speaker 2 (01:28:31):
Yeah, I think moreality.
Speaker 1 (01:28:33):
I en't think he's more physical, which is crazy to
say because Aunt wants the body too. But I feel
like VJ is even more physical, at least on the
defense end. M Right, Yeah, I mean, listen, it's you
can't lose last night. You can't get that game up.
You know, Joelle has some bad shots, I get it.
(01:28:54):
But you know they were going one on one basketball
there and then they were settling to get the ball
to him in the post, and nobody would moves. So
it's like, okay, like, well, you know what I mean,
you gotta move. You gotta move without the basketball. You
gotta move before you even if you want to get
into him the post, you gotta move. I mean, there
was this, there was a lack of movement prior to
(01:29:16):
Prior to that too, right, the entire second half they
stopped moving with the basketball like they were they were
playing on a ton of one on one basketball. I mean,
Tyras Maxe was a big problem late in that fourth
quarter two. So, I mean, when Jewel and Tyree don't
hit any shots. Now, I only thought Joel really forced
the one with the shot clock going down. That was
only four shot. The other one with the turnover can't happen.
(01:29:38):
But the rest of those shots are not four shots
like I expect him to make one of those shots.
I'm sorry to break the news people right coming back
with injury. Whatever it is I picked Joell would be
to make the Fisher price shot. The Fisher Price in
that shot. That's why I call that right for the
little side of that boot. Right, he makes it all day.
I expect him to make that shot. So you're a shot.
(01:30:00):
So I have no problem with the shot selection. I
have problem with the lack of ball movement that continues
to get this basketball team when they're when they don't
play well. You know, you won't talk about the first
eight games when they haven't played well.
Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
You know there there are your reasons.
Speaker 4 (01:30:16):
Yeah, no, it's it's you're in a spot where in
that game last night, you didn't score a field goal
for the last six minutes of the game, You didn't
score a point for the last four and a half minutes,
and you lost by hard, lost by one hard? What
was like? Like you lost by a point? Like? What
are we doing? Man?
Speaker 5 (01:30:36):
Like?
Speaker 4 (01:30:36):
How like? Drive? You're you're in the bonus. Get to
the free throw line. If you're not making shots, somehow,
go get foul, right, you gotta get to the line.
You gotta find a way to get some points on
the board, right when you haven't scored for two minutes, right,
you gotta find a way. Like the first half, the
first quarter was so much fun because they're swinging the
(01:30:56):
ball around. Tyree's is taking shots from half court. Right,
that's when this team's gonna be moving well, right, they're
moving the ball around. Guys, are you know that somebody's
always open? You're getting open looks all the time, and
they're going down right versus second half where it's it's
it was a struggle. The team just look gast. It
look ghast. Now. I think that probably had something to
(01:31:18):
do with you know, Joelle's not one hundred percent right now,
He's playing twenty twenty five minutes if we're lucky, and
Tyree s Maxi's.
Speaker 9 (01:31:25):
Leading the league in minutes play right like we've been
again all I never come off the court, right, And
I don't want him to per se, but he can't
be playing forty minutes a night, dude, get him thirty times.
Speaker 5 (01:31:42):
That'll catch up with him come February, March, April.
Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
Yeah, it'll it'll catch up. But you know, hopefully with
McCain coming back. Obviously he didn't play tonight McCain coming
back maybe again a little.
Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
Bit more, which is another question, but one why you know, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:31:59):
It doesn't make a lot of sense considering a thumb injury,
so why didn't he play? But yeah, I don't know.
I think the rotations will make a lot more sense
as we get deeper into the season. With mcchann will
probably end up playing twenty some minutes a night. There'll
be nights where you know, when Paul George comes back,
he'll be taking minutes away. Like but right now, your
(01:32:21):
best player are your guards, which is why you have
to play him so much. So hopefully over the next
few weeks months. I know we talked about trying to
ease Joelle and as much as we can. I don't
want him playing thirty minutes a night right now. So
if we can somehow take some time away from Maxi right,
and Quinton Grimes and like these guys that you're gonna
(01:32:41):
need all season long playing thirty maybe thirty five minutes,
I don't want him play in forty minutes right now.
Not to say that they can't, but I don't want
him playing that much right because especially in these like
the back to back scenarios where They're not gonna get
a night off, right, they don't have tomorrow and off.
You can play Joel thirty minutes if he's got on
and off. Right, Well, you have a back to back
(01:33:02):
these two days, and you got it back to back
this weekend. I don't really want those guys running their
their dicks off in in October and November, right, I
need them fresh in April.
Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
So yeah, I missed the last two games. But the
reaction you see, and you know you see throughout action
stuff is and it's a question that we kind of
talked about last week with Joel is And I know
you didn't play to night, but are you able to
close with him? And I know it's early and I
know the full rotations.
Speaker 4 (01:33:34):
There, but yes, I think you have to.
Speaker 1 (01:33:38):
And I don't say that as a homer, I truly don't.
I think that them as a basketball team need to
realize it doesn't need to run through him now. And
I think that's where where they got themselves caught last night.
That's where I watched. I watched a basketball team that
just assumed that's where it needs to go. And those
(01:34:01):
guards got to realize that they got to create and
that gets him, looks like that gets him things.
Speaker 2 (01:34:06):
So like this team is.
Speaker 1 (01:34:08):
Built around the guard now and they need to and
that's where they need to realize that. And you still
got one of the best players maybe in the world
when he's fully back, right but right now he's not
there anyway, So like, have a feel for the room,
not him, because I kept saying to people it's like
he was trying to give the ball away and said screens.
Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
He really was. If you really watched it, there was
no like, hey, this is my team, I'm just gonna
jack shots. No, quite the opposite.
Speaker 1 (01:34:33):
I thought, like that was my vibe I got the
I got the vibe that he's you know, or the
what I watch is him trying to set screens for guys,
him trying to get them.
Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
They were they were the non.
Speaker 1 (01:34:43):
Aggressive guys, like the guards became passive yep, and maybe
tired whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:34:49):
I don't know how you're tired when that's not the
back to back. So it wasn't a long ass.
Speaker 1 (01:34:53):
Flight to Chicago, so I don't know where you're all
banged up from seven games into the year at that point,
I don't care if you're running forty two minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:35:03):
Like you're not, guyse aren't that dead yet? Yeah, you
know that takes time. That takes thirty games of doing
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:35:09):
Yeah, I know, I know we were talking about this.
I think I think Buckets said it in the group chat.
We've we've given uh Nick Nurse a hard time with
like off like out of time out plays. You got
a wide open look at the buzzer last night with
Quinton Grimes wide open from the top of the key.
Great shot. He missed it, right, it would have won
(01:35:31):
you the game. But like you got Maxy way back
here in the back court, like because normally he's coming
in and get that ball. You got Joel over here
and you get you get a screen. Quinton Grimes is
wide open, right, and we're not you know, we're talking about,
oh well the game shouldn't have been closed. But you
win the game there, right, like you need to. I
trust I trust Quinton Grimes to shoot right. Like I
(01:35:52):
don't need Joel to shoot all the time. I don't
need Tyrese Maxey to shoot. I trust Kelly you bred
to shoot right. If these guys are gonna be out there,
I trust them to be able to take shots right.
If you can take the shots in the first quarter,
why not take them in the fourth quarter, especially if
you're gonna be open, right because the defense is gonna
q win on the two guys running two man game
in Maxie and b so there most of the time
(01:36:12):
they're gonna double them. Somebody's gonna be open. Whoever's open
out there. Right with your closing lineup, it looks like
it's it's Maxi, Edgecombe, Grimes, Oubra and embat that's your
closing lineup right now. It's gonna change when PG comes back, probably,
but like right now, I trust all of those guys
to shoot. If they're open, shoot the basketball. You don't
(01:36:33):
have to force it somebody else because you're you're better
off when the ball's moving around anyway. That's why you
got such a big lead last night.
Speaker 3 (01:36:43):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that's you're right, that's that's basketball
one on one and the NBA just for whatever reason,
that's going away from it, especially late in game. Right
doesn't you watch it around the league? You know it
becomes a It can becomes one on one in the
biggest moments when motion is the biggest the thing that
beat an efense. Guys fall asleep all the time, with
(01:37:06):
motion going on.
Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
All the time and some positives.
Speaker 1 (01:37:12):
I think Trendon Watford looks like a guy that can
maybe be a bench piece moving forward. I think he's
looked good. H MAXI gave him high praise after the game.
He really likes him.
Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
Says he's a high energy, talking all the time type
of guy. So I like that.
Speaker 1 (01:37:30):
I mean, shooting fifty seven percent from the field, which
is never a bad thing.
Speaker 2 (01:37:34):
So he's giving me.
Speaker 1 (01:37:35):
He's giving me a little bit of everything in terms
of you know, points, rebounds, assists, which is what you're
looking for from bench guys, right yep. I think when
I think to the point when McCain's back and you
get George fully back, I think that's where Tyreee minutes
go to about thirty eight a night, which I have
(01:37:55):
no issue with the like thirty eight a night for him.
I think that's a good number for him to be around.
You know, because there is guys who you know are
going to play close to forty. You know, there's guys
that do it. He's probably a guy that needs to
be you know, even if it's thirty seven, But that's
that's a good numb for him. I think then, you know,
(01:38:18):
I think VJ has to come down to about thirty
two a game. I would like, so I would like
about five to six minutes shaved off of him just
as a rookie, yea. And I think that gets you
the best version of him, So I you know, and
I think, you know, Grimes at thirty thirty thirty one
(01:38:38):
is where you sort of want him to be anyway,
So that's where McCain comes in and running about twenty
five minutes a game.
Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
That extra ten minutes, you know, I can be you know,
an PG.
Speaker 1 (01:38:48):
That's that extra that can be an extra time for
MAXI and VJ, you know, And that's where you shape
those minutes. So I don't have a problem with Nick
doing that right now. I would have a problem if
he's doing that healthy roster. Now, if you're in a
must win game, then I then run your doggies, you
know what I mean, if they're running good. But this
is a team that you know, moving forward, looks like
(01:39:10):
we're gonna have a pretty good bench and we're gonna
have those pieces. I mean, tonight we had a ton
of bench points, so tonight was all bench But there's
my little part on it. I'm happy with where they're at.
They could be in a worse spot. You know, nobody
likes losing back to back games.
Speaker 2 (01:39:28):
Not fun. But you come home for back to back and.
Speaker 1 (01:39:32):
You know, let's go, let's go get to I know
we got Detroit on Sunday, because I'm going to that one.
I forget who we're playing Saturday. Whose Saturday's game. I
can just look it up since I'm here, all.
Speaker 3 (01:39:47):
Right, me too?
Speaker 5 (01:39:49):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:39:49):
Toronto, Toronto, Toronto Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:39:54):
So I mean two winnable basketball games here coming home
from and I would assume we getting Paul George.
Speaker 2 (01:40:01):
Are we getting Paul George on Saturday?
Speaker 3 (01:40:05):
Three straight at home?
Speaker 4 (01:40:06):
I don't know. We're getting Raptors on the second game
of back to back though they're playing the Hawks. Let
me get them in Philly, they got a second game
back to back.
Speaker 3 (01:40:18):
I think that I think that's a game that Willy
Vegas would call a whale play. Whaler Toronto on the
back of the back to back to eat the Sixers
would become a whale play for Willy Vegas. Don't want
to quote him on it. I haven't seen any whale
bets yet this year or at least.
Speaker 4 (01:40:36):
Post it Detroit Detroy plays Friday Sunday.
Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
Three straight, three straight at home Toronto Detroit, and then
Tuesday Boston again, Boston again.
Speaker 6 (01:40:53):
One Veterans Day.
Speaker 1 (01:40:55):
When is Paul George back, because he's been a full
participate in practice, We're like, while and then.
Speaker 3 (01:41:01):
We don't see him while you look that up. We
don't see him again until March first.
Speaker 4 (01:41:06):
That's insane.
Speaker 3 (01:41:12):
When Tatum comes back. Oh, two days ago, Nick Nurse
provided an update. There's nothing really new. I know he
(01:41:36):
had a good workout yesterday. He was live History on three.
It was good. He progressed. Well, we'll just see how
it goes. Great.
Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
Thanks, Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
There's no like time that was. That was the most
information that this piece has and that was two days ago.
Speaker 4 (01:41:56):
Him make decisions to be next week plus sometime in November.
All right, great, it's November, now play.
Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
Yeah. George has seemed to be on his way towards
a return.
Speaker 1 (01:42:12):
Yeah, as he ramps up his intensity and participation in
team practice, but still hasn't played as he heels from
knee injury supper last season. Ah love put Upper continues
to report good things about his progress from recovery, and
this was about the Chicago game. He was still missed
the Nights game in Chicago, so I would assume, yeah,
(01:42:36):
and it's and this this one that six could use
him because they've struggled defensively early on in the season
and he definitely helps there.
Speaker 3 (01:42:45):
I just saw that one too, But no no real
information though now.
Speaker 2 (01:42:51):
And why is mcgame the will that goddamn splint? So
what's going on with that? You know what's on with
the mccains, Like it's.
Speaker 1 (01:43:02):
Split, like we we do that the worst, like hand
injury of all time or like dumb injury of all time.
Speaker 2 (01:43:08):
Like I don't I don't understand, like you could play.
Speaker 4 (01:43:11):
I mean, I don't know the u c L in
the in the in the thumb, that's what they said. Yeah,
I know that, like the u c L goes because
I decide surgery on my like to the u c
L like all it tore it here, but it goes
all the way down from your thumb all up in
your shoulder. So maybe it's affecting the rest of the arm.
I don't know, but that's the think, he sides.
Speaker 2 (01:43:33):
I have no idea that shooting him, I think so
I'll never be a shoot again. Paint him up, Jared.
The shot ain't gonna be there ever again.
Speaker 3 (01:43:43):
Now we've got a u c L, Like this.
Speaker 2 (01:43:45):
Is amazing stuff, Like the u c L goes and
then it could go into the thumb. It's gonna u L.
Speaker 4 (01:43:49):
There's gotta be one on the other side.
Speaker 2 (01:43:51):
So the u c L could run, so it could
he could damage here and it could run it up
in the fore.
Speaker 4 (01:43:57):
Well. So I know, like when I tore my u
c L pitching it, like I would like touch here
and I can feel it down on my pinky right,
I touched my elbows nerve.
Speaker 2 (01:44:05):
I think that's just you feeling nerve from it.
Speaker 4 (01:44:07):
Possibly, but.
Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
The nerve runs, so maybe it's the nerve. I'm just
maybe maybe did they say that you see in his thumb?
Is that what they said.
Speaker 4 (01:44:17):
I'm pretty sure you had a torn U selling the stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
I'm pretty sure confirm that can confirm that like in
real life.
Speaker 1 (01:44:26):
I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Eleven, and I'm asking you to confirm.
I think he's a good shooter. Rom I think he's
a better shooter or right away than we probably thought
he would be.
Speaker 2 (01:44:39):
That Jordan said it decent.
Speaker 1 (01:44:42):
Right, I'll call him good in set decent because I'm
like the way he looks now, It's like, oh okay,
I think you're a little more advanced than maybe we
thought you would be.
Speaker 4 (01:44:52):
Jereffercain suffers another setback of thumb injury. You see L
tear traditionally requires recovery period of four to six weeks.
So yeah, you see L tear and the thumb in
his right thumb. So yes, it is a shootinghain.
Speaker 2 (01:45:05):
Hmm.
Speaker 3 (01:45:10):
Interesting doctor doctor doctor Ryan, pag doctor Ryan.
Speaker 4 (01:45:17):
You see the injury. I have this podcast about this
with a quiplication.
Speaker 2 (01:45:23):
I'll get the doc.
Speaker 1 (01:45:24):
Onelication down real quick, mane.
Speaker 2 (01:45:29):
No, No, it's funny. I didn't know. I didn't know.
I learned something new every day.
Speaker 4 (01:45:32):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (01:45:33):
Appreciate it, appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (01:45:36):
I'm here for you know some reasons.
Speaker 2 (01:45:38):
Wh you were here for the markel Fuld stage. Could
we would have known right there?
Speaker 4 (01:45:41):
And I still know what the hell's wrong with that guy?
Duds wrong?
Speaker 1 (01:45:46):
Yeah, because on like tape, that guy looked like the
best buyer in the draft correct and it did not
look close like it did not look close.
Speaker 2 (01:45:54):
He looked like the smooth operator. He got the wherever
the hell he wanted to get to, he.
Speaker 4 (01:45:59):
Gave, he gave it.
Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
Still couldn't the leg. He couldn't the link too. He
couldn't shoot he get to wherever he wanted to get to.
That didn't stop.
Speaker 4 (01:46:07):
His first two uh Summer League games were electric.
Speaker 2 (01:46:10):
You know what the problem was. You know what the
problem was. The killers in this leg.
Speaker 1 (01:46:16):
They don't they don't still live with mom, mom, right,
like Carter Williams live with mom, right mom?
Speaker 2 (01:46:23):
Hand noo finances right, Daniels different league.
Speaker 8 (01:46:28):
Yeah, you can't be careful. You gotta let the dog.
You gotta let the dog eat. I mean, you gotta
let the dog, the dog lick. You know you think
you think man came into the league living with mom.
Speaker 2 (01:46:50):
You know he made a lot of moms out of me.
Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
He's a.
Speaker 7 (01:47:00):
You think m J came in and just all right,
you think m J.
Speaker 1 (01:47:04):
And we know Kobe and then rest in peace, Kobe,
I love you, And we knew Kobe was you know,
things wrapping and you know he's got the NBA players.
Speaker 2 (01:47:12):
We know the NBA player are your power go out
right just around you? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:47:20):
You storming up there?
Speaker 2 (01:47:22):
I guess so.
Speaker 6 (01:47:25):
It's random. Pretty good over here in Bucks?
Speaker 2 (01:47:28):
Is it in Bucks? That's how we call it. I
like that we here in Bucks.
Speaker 3 (01:47:32):
Just got my parents back from Jamaica. They were stranding
in Jamaica for a week.
Speaker 2 (01:47:37):
Oh we fuck? Were they?
Speaker 3 (01:47:38):
Yeah? We were down there, they were they they were
right in the middle of it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:43):
You didn't tell you, you didn't You didn't tell tell anybody.
Speaker 3 (01:47:47):
Yeah, I kept it quiet.
Speaker 2 (01:47:49):
You sure as hell did. Yeah. Oh my god, where
they have to go up? Like up?
Speaker 3 (01:47:57):
Yeah, this is where my much comes into play.
Speaker 4 (01:47:59):
Right.
Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
So they had a good two week trip down there.
First half of the week they were down in Kingston,
the south of the west side of the island. It
wasn't very hard hit Someday, the day before all hell
breaks loose, they go to montego back. They're closer to
the airport. Oh they got they got destroyed. It's not
(01:48:23):
not destroyed, but yeah, that's that. That was where the
brunt of it hit.
Speaker 2 (01:48:27):
Uh damn.
Speaker 3 (01:48:29):
But they uh, it was wild. It was wild.
Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
I know, ship Greg, I know they stayed like where
they go oh sandals?
Speaker 3 (01:48:39):
No, right, what are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
Like, where did they go in the storm mat where
did they they were.
Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
In the resort. They were still in their room.
Speaker 2 (01:48:47):
In the room high up. They had the.
Speaker 3 (01:48:49):
First floor room. Nothing no flooding though on their side.
The other parts like near obviously near more more near
where the ocean was.
Speaker 2 (01:48:59):
But uh, because the wind was crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
Crazy and and and it's funny. They didn't see a
lot of the videos because they obviously had spotty internet
once they got back, right, they didn't have any TV
and electricity was was based off a generators. So they
get home and then now they finally start to see
some of the videos and stuff like that. But yeah,
it was wild. It was wild.
Speaker 2 (01:49:24):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:49:28):
But they said everything the resort was awesome, like the
way they handled everything was was was awesome and stuff
like that. So they were they were all safe and
it was it was interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:49:39):
It was interesting.
Speaker 6 (01:49:41):
That's the most important thing.
Speaker 5 (01:49:43):
Their back, their back state side and all that kind
of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:49:47):
I could I could ship them off again. That's fine,
to get out of here. My parents were Jamaica during
the hurricane.
Speaker 5 (01:49:58):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:49:59):
Yeah, nothing enough major And so they got they got
home because sandals. Sandals finally just got a charter plane
and came down. They spent hours at the airport. No
electricity at the airport. Everything was handwritten. The us NBC
was there checking manifest and making sure everything was good.
(01:50:21):
They charted a plane just to get everybody off the
island and just dumped them in Miami. It was wild
and because of because of certain things like they couldn't
fly over Cuba because they didn't because they missed a
window or they didn't have the right permit, so they
had to go So what it was normally like an
hour and a half flight took three hours because they
(01:50:43):
had to go around it. And then they missed a
window to land in Miami. So the my dad's got
a picture. The dude made two loops over the ocean,
just toss to waste time before they could finally land it.
It was it was wild, like they got they got
to the airport. It they were up at like five am,
got to the airport at like eight am, and then
(01:51:04):
we didn't get home till one o'clock one a half.
It was a wild day for them.
Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
Wild week.
Speaker 3 (01:51:11):
But yeah, yeah, wild week for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:51:14):
Oh yeah, you're much.
Speaker 3 (01:51:20):
I'm complete much no one, And that's where it comes from,
you know what I mean. Parents leave part of the
island just to go to the park that gets destroyed.
Speaker 2 (01:51:28):
Yeah, any other part of the island wasn't as bad.
Speaker 3 (01:51:34):
It wasn't as bad at all.
Speaker 2 (01:51:35):
Now, yeah, it's a pretty big island.
Speaker 3 (01:51:41):
Yeah yeah, well.
Speaker 2 (01:51:46):
That's a bad videos. You don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:51:48):
I mean, yeah, I'm sure it's not in good shape
with one hundred and eighty mile winds.
Speaker 2 (01:51:53):
No, definitely not Buck sixty. You know Buck sixty.
Speaker 3 (01:51:57):
Yeah, what on record is one of the one of
the worst ones. Yeah, measured measured.
Speaker 2 (01:52:03):
I mean that's where covered the cover the country. Yeah,
it's crazy and.
Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
It and it moves so slow. It just kept kept building,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:52:12):
Well, like even us in Jersey, dude, you come hit,
you come hit, You comes from out direct hit that
yeah right rough you know me and being like me
and being like forty five forty from out from the ocean. Yeah,
like dry time, I would consider getting up, Yeah, let
me get let me get in land a little bit here,
(01:52:34):
whatever that may be. So if I want to go
over that bridge, yeah, high point in New Jersey drive,
Oh yeah, I think about that crazy stuff h D
A two D after dark, you know what I mean,
that's where we're at. I think about that crazy stuff
like okay, direct hit the way you got in Jersey,
(01:52:55):
like you got got bridges. He bridges, right, not necessarily.
Speaker 2 (01:53:01):
Go up high.
Speaker 1 (01:53:01):
You go up high enough in New Jersey you get
yourself out with no bridges. Yeah, there's places to get
out with no bridges. I'm just passing it on to
the peeps. You know, I'm not not saying anything ever
what happened, just giving you giving me tell't me where
to drive to see you guys up there.
Speaker 3 (01:53:18):
There's definitely options.
Speaker 1 (01:53:20):
Camped up there high point in New Jersey. Yeah, no
one knows. No one knows like no one, no, no,
no one knows more than you guys think he does.
Speaker 2 (01:53:31):
The public. You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:53:33):
I just played dumb.
Speaker 2 (01:53:34):
Yeah, it plays dumb for you guys.
Speaker 6 (01:53:36):
But you know location part of the entertainment that she's
not really really sleeping.
Speaker 2 (01:53:45):
Yeah, he's not really sleeping. It's all just it's all
just pretty entertainment for you to back day.
Speaker 6 (01:53:51):
I used to you know, finished a six pack easily.
Speaker 10 (01:53:55):
You know, well you show yeah yeah, yeah before we're
a good times in the garage.
Speaker 2 (01:54:05):
We really did? I miss I missed the garages.
Speaker 1 (01:54:08):
I do.
Speaker 2 (01:54:09):
Yeah, I mean it's just a studio yah, it's never
it's never going to be the same.
Speaker 6 (01:54:15):
Six pack of Logger in my daily news.
Speaker 1 (01:54:18):
And all that stopt that was COVID. Like I don't,
I don't probably buy this house. I don't probably buy
this house if it wasn't for COVID, Like you know
what I mean, I don't. I don't make those transitions
and not really caring about a studio anymore, because when
I bought that house, I had to care about a studio,
you know. And that's why we redid the garage like
many from we had it already, you know, we just
(01:54:39):
had it until Chuck's got raped by the dog by
tight just rape them. If you guys look at good
raping tune in the tune in the US show, he
crossed his life.
Speaker 3 (01:54:54):
I mean it was.
Speaker 2 (01:54:57):
To feel. I mean, he was in them. He was
definitely in him. He definitely opened the butt teak up.
Speaker 3 (01:55:05):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
I remember that it was shirt was ripped like it
was freaking you know, oh my god, good time. Yeah,
it was great.
Speaker 1 (01:55:23):
We had great times, Like live reactions were a great time,
and even live reactions on this are a great time,
don't get me wrong. But it's harder because We're all
on different you know what I mean, We're all different time,
different different views, like sweepsless, three doors down for me,
he's ten minutes ahead, you know what I mean. Like
we had the same internet provider. What's going on here?
(01:55:45):
Now I'm going to make a call, but you.
Speaker 2 (01:55:47):
Know we can't do it.
Speaker 1 (01:55:48):
It's good Greg, you know, Yeah, we're in a studio. Yeah,
it was like it was harder for everybody else who
you guys were driving. You were driving to me. It
was driving to me and Greg really, but you were
driving to us, and you know it made it hard
on you guys, But in reality it was you know,
I'm not shipping on our product. We're delicious, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
But you know, it was better it was sitting right
next to each other screaming and screaming and yelling.
Speaker 2 (01:56:15):
Because we could talk over each other.
Speaker 1 (01:56:17):
We could do more things that are like hard on this,
Like like I knew, like I knew when somebody was
ready to talk when you're next to me.
Speaker 7 (01:56:24):
Yeah, when I'm here, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:56:26):
So like we'll start to go at the same time.
You know, it's like, Okay, who wins out on it? Yeah?
You do I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (01:56:34):
I'm telling you it was smoother. So if you ever
questioned our ship, that's why, all right, we got to
get back to the studio. We get we got to
figure it out. So if anybody's if anybody out there
wants started GoFundMe for his studios, and we just start
GoFundMe for everything, and like you know, we'll appreciate it
if everybody wants to be that guy gets back to
(01:56:55):
the studio days. Because I have nowhere in my house
to put it. It'd be a nightmare, mid nightmare, the
kids on your head, you.
Speaker 2 (01:57:02):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:57:05):
He's all he's probably all in. I haven't introduced it
to him yet. They'll see it on my phone sometimes,
but I haven't. I haven't brought him in that world
another world. He ain't ready for that ship, you know
what I mean? Because he tells me I'm wrong about
some all time, Like dude, you stop, you don't know,
knock it off, not at all. And then with the sixers,
(01:57:27):
the answer to score every five seconds, what's the score
are they winning? It's not in every five like let it.
I'm trying to teach him. There's like games long like
eagles first quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
They are they winning? They're winning? Right, Yeah, relax, we
got we got reactions time. Now I'm the set.
Speaker 3 (01:57:46):
Now, now I look at me.
Speaker 2 (01:57:49):
I'm gonna send some reason now, you know. I mean
I'm the I'm the voice of reason. I'm the voice
of reason.
Speaker 4 (01:57:54):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
Okay, you know what, Okay, we got a lot of
football last you know, all right, I don't know only fans.
Sure ever, every every ugly, every ugly chicken American is
doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:58:07):
So I mean I'll just throw my throw my goods
into the mix. Yeah, opencheeks dot com.
Speaker 3 (01:58:18):
Oh good lord, Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:58:28):
Only nine a month. You're just spread for days? Maybe
thanks thanks Giving three sixty five.
Speaker 2 (01:58:50):
Gobbler?
Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
What the fuck.
Speaker 6 (01:58:57):
You want cranberry sauce with that?
Speaker 1 (01:59:03):
Think about Thanksgiving? It's upsetting. I don't think I can play. No,
I think it's over.
Speaker 2 (01:59:08):
It's over for.
Speaker 3 (01:59:09):
Meuse it injury or schedule.
Speaker 2 (01:59:13):
Injury, bad one, bad one. I don't know how much
longer I got with my career.
Speaker 4 (01:59:24):
He's on long term.
Speaker 2 (01:59:25):

Speaker 3 (01:59:28):
Could do it. You could do it.
Speaker 2 (01:59:29):
L five L five her desk.
Speaker 3 (01:59:34):
So if Flacco can do it, you can do it.
Speaker 2 (01:59:37):
No, I don't know if Flacco's dealing with the l
five her desk.
Speaker 3 (01:59:42):
He's dealing with a defense. I can't stop.
Speaker 1 (01:59:44):
Anybody, Yeah, but I wouldn't be able to walk the
next day, and like the week after and the next month.
Speaker 2 (01:59:49):
And I think if I go out there and get
cute doing that, I think I'm just gonna create a
big prop. I got a quarter zone shot, comment right.
Speaker 3 (01:59:57):
And Buddy and Bluddy socks, he'll she'll do.
Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
But then I'll get But I'm not gonna play.
Speaker 1 (02:00:02):

the courtse zom because it's not like I'm just back then.
Speaker 2 (02:00:06):
I don't have to run.
Speaker 1 (02:00:07):
If I was just back there, I had to spin it.
I'll spin it on your ass wait with the whole
backer and he ate it. But if I got, I
got a run and make plays. I can't be Lamar,
you know what I mean. I'm not Lamar anyway, but
now I can't be Lamar like I started to know.
Look in the backyard, like I'm the inventor of no
notes and the no pants in the backyard.
Speaker 2 (02:00:28):
Where I'm here, you don't even know.
Speaker 4 (02:00:30):

Speaker 1 (02:00:30):
Now now my homes want to do it with a
Maddie Stafford wants to do it. You know what I mean,
It's for me, guys. I'm older in both of yous, you.
Speaker 2 (02:00:37):

the buys gonna appreciate it. On on on Friday, on Friday,
watching the birds on the couch. Yeah, I don't know
(02:00:57):
if I'll be able to get that.
Speaker 1 (02:00:58):
Usually, I don't know if I can get the couch
in years prior because I do leave it all out there.
Speaker 2 (02:01:04):
I mean, I haven't won in a few years either.
Speaker 1 (02:01:08):
To me, guys, you know what I mean, it's like,
you know, five guys running out like you know what
I mean, it's too much. You five guys going doing
routes at the at the highest left and we're out
of here.
Speaker 2 (02:01:18):
If five guys fucking running around, like, give me four guys,

go with it.
Speaker 2 (02:02:26):

I can have fungos anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:02:32):
Like I did it. I was doing it, and I'm
telling you you took the game out.
Speaker 2 (02:02:36):
I was dealing with it. Man, think about where it started.
I'm not here to point fingers. But you think it's in.
It's didn't get created through.
Speaker 3 (02:02:45):
Through doing what I do.
Speaker 1 (02:02:46):

can do it, you know what I mean. Come on,
think about it. I'm teaching you something. I want to
show you how to do it. Some guys to learn visually.
Some guys don't learn, don't learn. But some guys need
to see you do it. So I'm gonna show you
