(00:56):
a boy, Chucks, It's mister O G. Pete O GP.
I like that sound of that. It's just easier, O
GP Pete Evans my brother. It's a good week. Not
only did the Eagles redeem themselves and and dominated blow
out the New York Giants, but tonight we've got a
(01:18):
flyer's awesome win in at in shootout against the Penguins,
and Sixers back to back wins, including their own overtime
win tonight. So it's it's been a really, really good
few days for for Philly sports. So how are you feeling?
(01:39):
You You're right in the high like I am, and
I'm I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
I don't want to say I'm riding a high, but
it's definitely a welcome site, especially for the Sixers because
this that three and oh, Maxie is the leading scoring league,
which won't last.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
But who's to say, Who's who's to say? I think
it's funny. I'm talking to to my my friends and
one group chop right now. I think the ceiling is
so high for MAXI like, so I don't I don't
know if we can put a cap on it. Maybe
(02:16):
like is he a generational talent? Maybe not, but like,
aside from that, I think we can.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, but it's hope for people who may have been
out on at six or it's only a short sample
size there's three games, But I think from what we've seen,
the health is and remember McCain's not healthy right now,
Paul George isn't here yet, so you may be in
an advantageous position to where the league is somewhat open
(02:47):
in a way, especially in the East. And arguably I've
heard this talk like, well, yeah, Be's not the best
player on the team anymore. I was like, I'm like, listen,
everyone is healthy, he's he's still the best player on
the team. But we've had these years when he's been
hurt or it hasn't been a hundred and you don't
know what the identity of the team is or the
(03:08):
team is not winning where when it had as many
wins as possible. Now with him playing on restricted minutes
and you can kind of spare him and he doesn't
have to be the dominant, not to say he can't,
but he may not have to be until we can
get him.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
I think that's a key word, is like I don't
is he like at his peak? And can he reached
that peak? Again, like I don't hope so, but he
doesn't have to and like and I don't care if
he if he has to anymore, Like it's he can
he can be the best player on the floor like
you've were in the playoffs on the seven game series.
He can better be the best player on before two
(03:44):
three games, but he doesn't. He doesn't need to be
for the whole series because now we have MAXI, we
have Edgecomba looks legit and you know, like if Paul
George is there the contributing and then obviously McCain, if
he can pick up where he left off, like he
doesn't need to be. So that's the thing, like I
don't care if he is or not. I just care
(04:07):
that he's there and being embid, you know, and being
a part of the team, so like it's early. I
I swear every year to say, like I I, I
don't care about the six Ers in October, November, December,
but with this combo of Maxine edgecomb and making it
making it really really difficult to not care about them. Uh.
And then the Flyers with new head coach Rick Tacket,
(04:29):
they're they're shown as some stuff you know, and and
it's it's exciting. It's definitely exciting, even if even with
Mitch mitchkov not really uh, he's struggling so far, Like
the team is is is fighting, and I like this
this new sense of urgency they have under talk it.
We'll see if it lasts because you know, new head
(04:49):
coach and all of that. But I mean I was
never a fan of Why why am I uh why
I'm not forgetting the previous coach previous coach? Oh yeah,
why am forgetting his name?
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I was never a fan.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Is a guy if you already have something to establish,
I think he can't build. But he's more of that
that everything straight there to where like you can't really
build where I think both the Sixers and the Flyers
when you see Nurse can kind of do it all.
But tacket Is is a little bit He's a breath
refresh air, right, He's a breath refresh air And for
(05:26):
both I mean the Flyers really don't have any expectations.
I mean kind of sixers really don't either. But it's
more so of health wise, right and what what you
didn't know kind of edge Combe was going to bring.
But I mean, so far, so good. Yeah, And I
mean capping off with the egos this Sunday.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
And it's funny because I had said, Peter, I had
said last week, we had touched touch on it on
the intro of the show last week, that it was
a humiliating loss on Thursday football to the Giants and
they have an opportunity to redeem themselves. Well, they absolutely
did in a huge way. And that's going to be
our leadoff and it kind of is setting the theme
(06:07):
for the rest of the show. We usually, you know,
do you know two or three games that we pick
where we're we're gonna, you know, pick We're gonna discuss
those games as a whole, and then pick a few
clips to show, you know, film to show in the
film room to break down. But this week we wanted
to do like a let's change it up. We are
(06:27):
going to do a running Back Team show. We are
going to break down Saquon's game, but not only his tank.
Bigsby came out of not not nowhere, but you know,
I've we've he's finally gotten the opportunity to be the
RB two and show down in a big way with
over one hundred yards. We're gonna break down him, and
then we're going to get into the guy who should
(06:49):
be in the running for m v P, but we
know he's not gonna get it, but he is absolutely
the leading candidate for Offensive Player of the Year right now,
in Jonathan Taylor. I haven't been talking about him nearly
as much, so I am excited to you know, uh,
dive in through a couple of his plays from the
game against the Titans, which every week he's ripping off
(07:11):
with a ridiculous run, so it's it's fun. And then
Chase Brown will also get into who who now two
straight games of you know, over two straight games of
good games where he struggled earlier year, He's finally able
to show that ability that you know, the Bengals compared
into like Austin Ekeler, he's shot, he's showing that ability finally,
(07:36):
you know, in this season. And then Kamani Videll coming
out and for the Chargers with Hampton and Harris down
showing that hey, like I'm here, let's not miss a beat.
So I wanted to really talk about them, and then
we'll talk about even though we won't mention any you know,
and we won't show any of their clips. There are
other guys who have beasted and dominated this week, and
(07:58):
we gain in the NFL that we're going to touch
on and and mentioned as well. So huge games from
so many running backs. So I felt were fitting to
really just go running back team this uh this week
and give them their love. So and it's funny because
it's ten. It was Week eight was technically National tight
Ends Day, but the running backs after.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Tucker Tucker Kraft had himself a game, part.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Of my model the preview, He's part of my Tucker
Kraft like exclamation point on National tit Ands Day. But yeah,
he the running backs overall really showed out on National
tight Ends Day. But let's yeah, let's let's dive into it.
Let's go with the Eagles the Eagles game, and start
would say go on his first big.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Game.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, one hundred and fifty yards rushing for one to
rushing touchdown, four receptions, twenty four receiving yards and one
receiving touchdown. And it's a little fitting that it came
against his former team, the Giants. So it's you know,
it was awesome to see you're diving into the film.
I you know, obviously it it's probably been touched on
(09:10):
a lot now, but if in case, you know, you
weren't aware, Like they really tapped into a lot of
gap skin runs, right, this a much more than they
had been using in weeks prior, and that really helped
a lot. And you're seeing such a big difference. And
then there the two running backs for the Eagles going
(09:31):
off over one hundred yards. So what is what do
you think for you like from the running game, what
else stood out to you other than like schematic.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
I mean sixth linemen Fred Johnson and just kind of
knowing what's coming and the defense knows. But execution, execution
using players in the right places, tank bisbeeing in the
second RB two rule and really it was this execution
(10:07):
and also Giants defense while decent on the line, the
rest of it as a whole, not so much. But
we have seen them being able to exploit that to
a team all year for four quarters. For four quarters,
they haven't been able to do that. So I think
it's telling on Sunday that it was more, Hey, this
(10:27):
is what we're going to do. This is our game plan,
and we're not going to we have to execute it right,
and they I think in that mini by they held
a lot of players accountable and then they came out
and they executed a lot and there were still some mistakes.
I mean, I think Lane had a holding call and
the play was like all of three seconds. I'm like,
where did he even have time to hold that? So
(10:50):
but yeah, I mean that's that's what I got from it.
Is now they have an idea of what's going to
make them successful in this iteration of the Evils and
without cam Urgans and hopefully he's back come the tenth
the next time they play in Lambeau and we'll see
even with Even with Cam though, I just think obviously
Cam is a higher a higher level player than Tooth
(11:13):
right toe to top. I'm not sure how you enunciate it.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
It might be Tooth I keep toss, but it might.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Be, but still running the same scheme, right still or
something similar, and we see more tosses, we've seen more screens,
So they're they're using the running the running game as
and they're involving it, right, They're they're they're kind of
putting more layers on it and what's going to take
to be successful And not to say that they can't
go back to the stuff last year. I can make
(11:39):
them successful. But then that was a juice for the
whole teams that was juiced for the line that was
used for say quond even though he had the growing injuries.
So I mean he really had one hundred and fifty
and three quarters because he pretty much missed the whole fourth.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
Yeah, I missed the whole fourth quarter. And they said
it's not serious, you come back to play if needed,
but you know, no need. I had said after that,
I'm like, even if it's not serious, like just keep
him out. You don't need to put him back in,
like and I'm glad they did that helped him out,
So I'm not too worried about that. Uh it's you
mentioned tooth and yeah, he really stepped up. What a
(12:12):
huge difference I mentioned last week, how the outside runs
once he came in, the outside runs really kind of
stalled because you know, in big part because of him,
which was understandable, but he kudos to him for getting
you know, those starter reps in practice and then showing
out like they they pulled him a lot. He was
(12:34):
he was getting pulled in a lot of these runs
and he did a good job, very very good job.
So huge credit to Toath hug Child also the Dallas
Goddard who you know, show wise, he continues to show
why he's one of the better tight ends in the
league because he's blocking is he's one of the better
blocking tight ends. So you know, he had a really
good game in the blocking department. So it really made
(12:56):
a huge difference of the offensive line just playing much
much better, or the runs going under center makes a
difference because you it's not as predictable on which way
you're going to run and what you know. I know
they've they called some same side shotgun runs too, which
also helps. So if you're run a shotgun, usually like
(13:18):
if the this is obvious, but usually if the running
back is aligned to the left of the quarterback, it's
a run to the right. Well, running the same side
run plays helps eliminate that predictability. So it's just just
a combination of different things sprinkled in that make this
run game less predictable now. And so kudos and credit
(13:38):
to Kevin Patulla for finally figuring that out and implementing
it and doing a really good job. On Eaglestalk last night,
the pole question was like, do you think this is
sustainable moving forward? You know, this type of success, you know,
despite it coming against the league worst run defense, And
I said yes, because it's they're doing things that are
(14:03):
good process and it doesn't matter if it comes against
the Giants or against anyone else. The process of what
they're doing is sound. So even though the numbers aren't going,
you're not gonna run two hundred plus yards every week,
but the what you're doing, the play calling standpoint and
procedural standpoint is is the right way to go. So
(14:26):
I do think this is going to have sustained success
moving forward. You mentioned the jumbo jumbo packages with Ford
Johnson as the you know, uh, the sixth offensive lineman.
A lot of we're seeing a lot of uptick in
that in league wide. So it's it's pretty really cool
to see so anything else you wanted to mention with
the Equals run game before we get to the film clips.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
No, I mean I want to see more Bigsby, you know.
And I think Bisbee is a better column and not
not taking away thing from will Shipley, but Bisbee is
a better compliment. And when you trade or you use
resources to acquire a player, you're not using that resource
in the right manner. Whatever it took to get to
(15:11):
this point, whether it was him with the running game,
the playbook, what have you, I'm glad to see that
now we have an ulterior alternative option. Yeah yeah, I was.
I was saying. We said it in our chat on Sunday, like,
is this is Bisbee the highest RB highest upside RB
two that we had, And I mean he had the
one run twenty nine to seventeen yards that we're going
(15:34):
to get to. But I mean, I mean you look
at Game well. Yeah, Game well was serviceable, but I
don't think I don't think Game one had the juice
that Bisbee has.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yeah, yeah, you need it. Like I talked about it
before the season started. Is the what's what's missing from
this run game or this running back groove? I'm sorry,
is someone that if one goes down, who can you
lean on right to carry a workload, because that's what's
really you need a running back to be able to
to run that similar run first offense, and you don't
(16:05):
really you didn't really have that and a J. Dillon
and Will Shipley like nothing against Will Shipley, he's been
he's been serviceable, like you said, Uh, well you said
that about game. But like Shipley's similar, like server serviceable,
can do different things. Uh. But like with AJ Dillon,
like I I've said before, I was never biggest fan,
(16:26):
but Tank Bigsby comes in. He has more juius. He's
more powerful and just able to sustain you know, carries
like that and provide explicive plays and make something there
that that just Shipley and Dylan were not able to provide.
So it definitely is an awesome, awesome thing. So I
(16:49):
got a little guest here. Yeah, good night, little guy.
Uh so yeah, way past that time. He should be asleep.
But let's get to the film, and so let's talk
about we you know, Sakuon Barkley had two explosive runs again,
you know against the Giants. The first one was a
(17:11):
sixty five yard touchdown and then the other one was
the twenty twenty what was it? Try to see twenty
six trying this was? Sorry, twenty eight sorry, twenty eight
yard run in the third ano the third quarter. Uh.
Ironically it came on as first and last carries of
(17:33):
the game. But it's two really good runs. And this
first one, you know, it's probably been broken down at nauseam,
but we're gonna break it down here. The Eagles run duo.
This is this is a run concept that we don't
often see. It might look very similar to inside zone,
but it's not zone. It's duo. A lot of some
(17:55):
some things are much different. But from the running backs,
I could go into like I can go into like
the whole like differences between the offensive line and the
blocks and schemes that way. But you know, if I
do that, this show is going to go on a
long time. But since we're doing RB things, let's stick
to from the perspective of the running back. When you
(18:17):
have a duo, it's kind of like the opposite mindset
of like outside zone. So outside zone, you're the the
running back is their their path, and the responsibility after
the metro point is to set horizontal the east west
first pick a hole and then burst up north south.
It's the opposite with duo duo. Your path is north south.
(18:41):
You get vertical first, and then when you get your
offensive linemen working up to the second level, that's when
you find the running lane and then you get east west.
You get horizontal once you get into the second level.
So that's exactly what SAQ one does here. This is
masterfull lead blocked. This is masterful executed by saquon. So
(19:02):
you see here, you know, see the combo blocks right,
you have the Sorry you can't see the so you
have Yeah, you had the left guard Dickerson and then
the center tooth. They're going to double combo block on
number ninety three. And then you have another double team
(19:24):
here by the right tackle, Lan Johnson. And what tight
end is that is that? No? No, that's Fred Johnson.
So they're in jumbo Fred Johnson and Lane combo block
here and then you see Lane Johnson and Dickerson work
up to the second level with them working up to
the second level. Now here's the running place. You see
this lane working off of Dickerson here right right outside there, that's.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Where yep and then point and it's really I mean
it's successful. It's also poor angle by the Giants defensive backs,
especially twenty seven he gets almost caught flat footed and
then that then it's off to the races.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Yeah, right there, this is what's you're flat footed there.
This is the seque has a head of steam working
up for the second level and it's just washing this
the minute like Saquon got here. So in the broadcast view,
I was like, oh, he's gone, he's gone, and you
know it. You know it too when you have when
you see those third level defenders like that, there's there's
(20:24):
no way they're gonna catch them. So again, perfectly executed
duo or run. Here you see the combo blocks, work
up to the second level, works north south first and
then boom east west, get horizontal, get to the second level,
third level, and he's gone sixty five yards. Awesome, awesome
tone center for the Eagles. Uh. His last run here
(20:50):
this was counter you're gonna run counterplight. Uh, and you're
gonna see this time. Here's another play where one of
the many plays you're gonna see tooth pulling and he's
gonna pull with Lynn Johnson.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah and got it.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Yeah, So you have a combo block here, Uh you
have Calcatere and Godard and then look at Godard awesome,
awesome job of working to the second level. And then
to look at to boom pulling lead block and then
here's my lotta in the second level looking for work.
It's just masterfully blocked again and this goes for twenty
(21:29):
eight yards. So just again you talk about the execution
of the blocks. This is what we're talking about, is
that when these offensive line on top of these scheme
schemed up runs being better, the offensive line is just
executing much better. So you see what its.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Even like he knew like it was on tape. How
many times you want to be on tape in front
of your team every week in the film room. It's
saying like, hey, like you got to do a better
job like this your skill set and your your job
on his play. If it's performing poorly, it sabotages the
whole play like that, yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Yeah, and he like he does a fine job, like
you're gonna see him if you're gonna highly out of
terror like after got it, you know, releases to go
up to the second level. I mean couck guitar gets
thrown down by the defensive line. But that's that's expected.
He's a tight end cook up with up against the
defensive lineup. But the good thing is he did enough
to get in the way to create that space. That's
(22:29):
that's all. Like you are expected to do as a
tight end if you have to do just enough to
get in the way and to buy time for for
the running back or the quarterback. Uh So, a good
job by calcul terror. You know, ideally you still don't
want him blocking like that in line, but just over here,
(22:49):
he just he did a good job. So two exposedive
runs by Saquon Barkley and leads to one hundred three
rushing yards and the touchdown. But that wasn't all. So
he still, as usual, made his mark in the passing
game and he oh my god, we called a successful
halfback screen. What in the world is going on here?
(23:13):
This is just the well executed You don't see this
often with the egos, but the timing is right, so
you know it hurts and delivers.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
When you're throwing a screen, you don't want to throw
a bullet past the running back like you want to
be able to have touch on it and set them
up so they can catch it easily and get set up,
and you'll see the offensive lineman Eagles offensive line and
working up into the second level. And now they're all
set up. So Sequan does a good job as I
can make up with that of his lineman is but
(23:46):
as he's working out to the second level, Seguon does
a good job of setting all these up. So he's
gonna drift inside and then drift back outward to set
up that block right there, and then drift back inward
and then he's able to pick up twelve yards for
the first down. So you know, I'll rotate it for
the end zone of you. But it's just there's not
much to break down here, but I wanted to show
(24:08):
it because Eagles don't run screens often very well. And
the time we look at this when you're they're setting
up the you know, the fake, so they the offensive
lineman bake pass protect and then boom, perfect timing to
let off the defensive lineman go to sell it and
then they're all in unison. You see Saquan catching the ball,
(24:29):
all in Unison are already out on the block. So
this is just perfectly executed. I would love to see them.
I would love to see them get a half back
screen going game going, consistently moving forward. So hopefully this
is a signing things to come. Anything you wanted to add.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
When they caught it, it was the right, right play.
And this is where I think you guys talked about
it last Lesson that talked. I think this was k
I think he's starting to get his fitting as a
play call in game sequencing, kind of get the idea
that chess match, what is the defense going to call?
How can I count that? And this is one of
(25:10):
those space because I mean you can kind of see
look at that space. Yeah, look at that space knowing
whatever the tendencies are being in that right, being that
right call against the right defense instead of because it's
the second and twelve and it's just a this is
a drive, This is the momentum. Keep let's keep it going.
(25:32):
This I forget how this drive ended? Was this.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
First quarter?
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Was this? This wasn't a missfield goal? Was it?
Speaker 1 (25:41):
It might have been. I gotta go back. I forget
if it was a misfield goal. I'll go back and
look at it. But yeah, but still like it's it's
still good, well timed and yeah it's yeah, you don't
see halfback spends a lot from this offense, and it's very,
(26:02):
very hopeful that they were to be able to get out.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Yeah, of course you have the lineman and it's just
for whatever reason before in the past, it's just they
don't it was never executed. Well, I don't know why.
I can't answer that. Like I know, there are factors.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
But like.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
You know, hurts his delivery as a factor. It's has
never been a really good Green game quarterback. The coaching
on how to time it was never there. I don't know.
There's a bunch of stuff, but if they can start
to figure it out, that's just gonna be another component
to this offense that's going to help a lot. So
(26:41):
but this one, this one was fun. And when I
saw this on film, you know, I immediate was like,
this looks familiar. This looks familiar at LO and behold
last year nine against another it was the other Kelly
game nine four week nine, sakon Barkley. Look where he's
(27:08):
lined up right to the same side, yep, same side
as a tight end, and who's in a narrow split
isolated as the only receiver to that side. The tight
end is going to run a post route which is
going to serve as they clear out, and then is
going to run his will route, and this, as we know,
(27:30):
ends up as a touchdown. Okay, so let's fast forward
the five week gate similar concept where a Saquon he's
two to the left side, which is the same side
as a tight end. No, this is Godard. Now the
guard it narrow split number one receiver, isolated receiver to
(27:53):
that side. He is going to run the post as
the clear out. The difference he as you can see
the giants blitz. That's why there is they run a
man blitz. That's why there's no one covering Saquon, you know.
And like if this had been a different concept, Saquon
would be the quote unquote hot round right because you're
(28:14):
throwing hot off to the blitzer side. So this is
it works out so well, god it is the clear
out and Saquon's wide open to the side. So just
such a similar concept. It's just so funny how that
worked out. Because again I saw this and I'm like,
I swear they did this before, and lo and behold,
it was like almost exactly a year ago in Kelly
(28:37):
Green that they did this. So irony. Did they do
that on purpose? I don't know. Maybe Sirianni, did you
call that on purpose to kind of have some irony
in it? I would love to ask him that question.
But awesome stuff, awesome design. Anything you wanted to add?
Speaker 2 (28:55):
No, yeah, once again, secretin secretin having a feel for
the game, and it just it felt like it wasn't
a lot of weren't a lot of moments in this
game to where I felt like they start or we
got no gotten, no stagnant, was waste of possessions.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Yeah, I agree, I agree. So that was, you know,
biggest plays of sake one's big day. But let's go
to RB two now, tank big speed, I man, I
am so happy. I am so happy. And his runs man,
he had uh let me pull up the sweet so
he had I broke down. So you had nine carries,
(29:33):
right and give.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
Me something like eighty five or eighty four? No?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Yeah, nine carries for one hundred and I.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Forgot I'm forgetting about that last one that he had
another long one.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Yeah, yeah, he had nine carres for one hundred four
rushing yards. We also clipped over one hundred yards rushing.
I have this stat here, give me a second. There
you go. Out of Bigsby's nine carries, five of them
went for ten yards or more. Five of them. So
(30:04):
like when I when we traded for him, I posted,
you know, because you know I do obviously you know
I do all the running back evaluation stuff for drafts,
and I did an updated watching his pro film, did
an updated evaluation on him, and in it I said,
I included that, you know, the one area that Bixby
(30:26):
has notably improved on since I studied him as a prospect,
as playing to his size and being a more physical
and powerful runner. You can really see him consistently attack
defenders with power and finished runs with good leg drive.
He's still also very much a slasher. He's at his
best when he's able to make one cut and go
with His quickness and his exposiveness both Laterally and Berkeley
(30:48):
are still evident. I wouldn't say it's near an elite level,
but certainly one of the positives of his skill set.
And with these two runs you can see those traits.
They're they're on showcase. So this first one we're going
to break down. This is the one. This is the second,
twenty sixth one, This is the one where everyone losing
their minds.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
And this is just this is the real bad sack
that jal And took right the sac that j They
thought it was second and thirty one. It was a
twenty one year loss, but it was only sixteen.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah, so second and second and twenty six and he's
gonna pick up twenty nine yards on this run. This
is just so you see here that that cut. Yep,
you see these cuts. He's for someone who's named tank.
The one thing that sticks out to me the most
isn't his power, even though I said, like he's now
(31:39):
running more power like he's a slasher. He likes to cut,
so like, look at these cuts getting into open field.
Now here's the contact balance and power and strength making
those the two defenders miss. And even with it, like
at the end of the run getting pushed out of balance,
he's still inviting contact. Like he's still not brought down completely,
(31:59):
so like he's falling forward. You're technically like a quote
unquote falling forward at the end of that run. But
this is just you know, awesome job by biggsby taking
he's taking advantage of a light box. But to be
able when you're in the second level and you're in space.
This is all you. This is all you setting up
(32:19):
the blox and making things happen. So awesome job ping
up twenty nine yards there by by Tank Bigsby and
then you went to dead.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
No because if we got one, two, three, we got
six in the box.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Yeah, because it's second and long, so obviously it's a
light box.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah, yeah, awesome.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
So I love it. I love it now that the
next one is going to be. This was late, so
they're already like games decided. They're just trying to like
end it and run the clock. This doesn't stop like
because McKee is in this, so you got like garbage
sign guys in there. But Bigsby's still gonna run hard.
This was just a lot of fun to watch. So
(32:58):
this is where the power and the comes in one.
Look at this just he's just refusing to go down.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
This watch play because I thought if you go back,
I thought, keep it going. I lost him right here.
I thought he was down. I don't know what it
is is that Cooper?
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Where which one for? What? Wow? Yeah? Yeah it is.
Yeah you thought you thought, yeah, that's Cooper and he
just keeps going. Yes, he's going. I love that because
you don't. I'm telling you. When I was telling him
as a prossimate, you know, you didn't see this type
(33:42):
of stuff from him consistently enough, Like he didn't play
to his power and his size like this. But now
he's really really using his strength in the pro So
that's that's really good to see because he has it obviously,
but now he knows how to properly use it. So
I love it. So hats off to him, Big Sby.
(34:03):
He's going to I want to see him, like you said,
I want to see him get work as the RB two.
You know, keep not to say like it should be
a fifty to fifty split or anything close, but obviously
now you know that if Saquan needs a breather, you're
not going to lose much of a of a beat.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
If the running game is if the execution is there,
you feel like you want these two or three yard games,
it can be four or five or six to keep
you ahead of the sticks. Yep.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely anything else that you wanted to touch
on with the Eagles before we transition to mister Taylor.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
I mean, the buyers coming at a good time, and
it's coming at a time to where they need it,
they play their best. Their are their best two games
of the season so far. On offense, defense is getting healthier.
You're running into a tough stretch of games. It's just
(35:02):
we'll see number eleven. Get your ship together. And I'm
not even saying this because I really don't know what's
going on there. It's just so much smoke and I'm
tired of giving Diana. We're seeing so much fuel.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Yeah, yeah, and I think that you know, Mina Coms
had a good tweet today and a percent agree with Like,
if the Eagers are going to run a lot of
this under centered play action, now it's that's prime for
A J. Brown to take advantage because now he can
Like people forget A J. Brown before he came to
(35:35):
Philly was like that's wide receiver running crossers and diggs.
That was his thing. It was He's the crossers and digs.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Guy.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Well, if you're running under center play action, that is
the problem. Yeah, We've seen it with DeVante, So you
have tour wide receivers, I can do that. Like, it
makes no sense for for the Eagles to to want
to trade him or to have to trade him. And
like the it was it's just one of the real
one of the many reasons why they they weren't. They're
not going to And I think if things keep going
(36:06):
this way, a Brown will be fine. Like again, we've
been on the same boat. This is this whole Brown
drama is nonsense. It's overblown. So yeah, all right, so
i'm i'm I know you're excited about this because you've
been you've been Taylor for weeks now, and kudos to you.
And and because that that stupid Falcons offense is so
(36:29):
like night and day.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
So like I don't know what they're so frustrating.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
So frustrating, so frustrating.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
So like November was it we play them at the
end of November?
Speaker 1 (36:42):
I think No, I don't even know when we.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Think we played it either, And in November, early or
early December. I'll look it up if I'm not mistaken.
A Black Friday game. Black Friday game.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
Oh, that's the Airs. So the Bears. Yeah, the Bears
are the Black Friday Game. We don't play the Falcons Falcons.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
And I may have been thinking about the Bears.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Packers. Yeah, so Packers after the bike and then we've
got Lions and we got Cowboys. Then Bears is the
Black Friday game, and then the Chargers, Raiders, Commanders, Bills Commanders.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Okay, you play the Bills late late and Buffalo.
Speaker 1 (37:29):
After yeah, after Christmas, that's the game that comes after Christmas.
So uh, there's games. Both of them are to be determined.
I guess they're there. It's flex scheduling. They're trying to
see what time. Yeah, all right, so yeah, but anyways, Tangent, Yeah,
Jonathan Taylor right now because the Falcons are are hot
(37:51):
and cold. Clearly like statistic wise, he's he's the best
running back in and it's it's crazy, so I can
coach the year say everything. We talked about Colts last
week and it continued. Just a machine, this machine.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
But do you see the rhetorica has already started for
Mahomes and win MVP. It's already started.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
He's already He's still the favorite. I think bye bye bye.
I saw when I was because we were talking about
on egos talk no should hurt be in the conversation,
and I was looking at the odds her just like
tenth Mahomes first, and.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
And I think they're going to kind of give Daniel
Jones a comeback player of the year.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Probably they stay on trend, yeah, probably. But Jonathan Taylor, man,
he's he's he's a madman. He's what he was.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
From what three years ago?
Speaker 1 (38:44):
No, what what year was that where he went off?
Speaker 2 (38:47):
I want to say, is I want to say twenty three,
now twenty two, Hold on.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
That's sucks. Let's see that was No, he went off
in twenty twenty one, eighteen eleven, so one eight hundred
and eleven yards rushing in twenty yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
One.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
So like, this is an interesting SAT though, and I'm
not trying to put a damper on it. We're just
talking about stats. But Jonathan Taylor, like if you did,
because Bringman put it, pulled it up and I haven't
checked for accuracy, but from what he said, Jonathan Taylor
is on pace for only like sixteen hundred yards, roughly
(39:30):
like sixteen.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Hundred he is. He's sitting at eight fifty right now.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Fifty right now through and they haven't had their bye weekend,
I believe, so like, yeah, he's on he's on pace
for roughly like sixteen hundred yards. So I'm like the
year that he's having and he's still not like on
pace to be close to what Saquon did last year.
That that just speaks to how insane Sequon's year was
last year. Unbelievable. But the number word Taylor is really
(39:57):
like going off is touchdowns. He says, it's twenty five touchdowns,
twenty five. What's the record for most touchdowns in the season.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
He's on pace for twenty five?
Speaker 1 (40:09):
No, he has let me say.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Here, I'm looking at the stats.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
You're right, you're right, right, I apologize. Yeah, I was
looking at receptions for he has twelve, yes, twelve, So.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
It was wasn't it It wasn't Emmitt, was it? It
was Latanium?
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Wasn't it season? But running back? Uh? The record is
twenty eight by Ladinian Tomlinson.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
Yeah, I say, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
So he keeps this up. He could, he could do
it now, Like that's rushing touchdowns, right, yeah, rushing touchdowns
is twenty eight. I don't know about like total touchdown
all the time.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
He was born in Salem.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Yeah, I did not know that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
didn't know.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
He's from Jersey.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Yeah I remember that. Yep, he's from Yep. Uh. The
record for total touchdowns is thirty one Jonathan Taylor. Right, now,
what does he have total touchdowns, touches art because I
know he had a receiving technically it was it was
a receiving touchdown.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
Because they took me. He would have been the first
player ever to have three touchdowns in three games in
a row.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Yeah he's got Yeah, I don't know how many total
touchdowns he is, but like he he has a shot.
He has a shot at if he goes at the space.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
But like, yeah, touchdowns. So he has fourteen touchdowns total.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Fourteen, so he's it'd be tough, but like he has
a shot. He has a shot at it. He had
thirty one to thirty one total touchdowns is the record,
sou But yeah, he's unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
The way he's playing, the the the ability by him
to string together moves, the vision, the power, like just it's.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Just I feel like it's on repeat when you talk
about these elite talents like Saquon b jon Jonathan Taylor.
These guys were the total package freaks at running back.
It's just they have everything. And Jonathan Taylor is just nuts.
So let's let's get to these films. Like I don't
the ones I chose. I know everyone everyone their mama
(42:20):
was talking about the eighty yard touchdown. With all due respect,
even though that was completely impressive, especially because he was
able to maintain like staying down on the sideline and
tiptoe that and that that speed I think he hit
like what was his official speed twenty one twenty one
eight twenty one eight miles per hour. So that's impressive.
(42:43):
But these two runs, especially the second one, These two
runs are what I'm talking These were impressive. So this
is an outside zone and this is gonna go. I
am going to let me pull up, hold on, let
me pull up the because I just posted this on Twitter,
so I want to make sure I have I have
the names of the defenders. That's that's the thing, because
(43:04):
like I don't. When I was like breaking this one down,
I felt like I felt like I was naming every
single defensive player on the Titans. That's how good he's
been because it's like he's making every defender miss.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Right.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
So all right, so outside zone, right, outside zone, and
he's gonna stay stay on his outside path. And he's here.
You look at the cornerback. This is the corner and
this is they're not Darryl Baker right, number thirty nine,
and he's just like I feel like Taylor is just
twying with with Dree Baker, Like he's just toying with him.
(43:43):
The reason why he's he's like that, Yeah, yeah, he's
He's no, he's waiting too because he wants his cutback
to open up, right, So he's waiting for this defender
to to over pursue, over pursue so that he can
hit this this gap right here, this cutback. But he's
gonna wait, he gonna wait, and it just feels like
he's he's toying with the corner. So when he's finally
(44:04):
deciding to get upfield, it's just he's The wrap up
tackle of temp is hilarious, but then he's gonna spent
out of it and he's gonna make also Draymond Jones
number forty five and CJ. Ravenel number ninety one miss also,
So he makes three defenders miss with one move. One
(44:27):
move and his three defenders miss, and he would have
been off to the races. But Amani Hooker does does
a good job here of kind of just like.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Wait for help.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
Yeah, just just hold on for dear life and and
hope that, like you know, people can can help you
out there that's what a mon hooker does. So credit
to him. But he just one move and he makes
three defenders miss. But this is just toying, like toying
with the cornerback and then picking up twelve yard that
that's that's awesome self, that's awesome self.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
And then you want to no, I mean I was
when I was watching this from Okay, biggest thing was
if you if you run it here, I'm thinking, I'm
just watching it, stop it go back a little bit,
a couple of frames right here, I'm thinking he's going
to try to bounce this outside right, So but then
(45:21):
that's the next level is that's what we see his
odd because he knows the play, he knows where his
lanes are supposed to be at. He's just okay, I
know where I'm going and I'm out, I'm out. Yeah yeah.
And he's his contact, like you said, his contact balance, right,
it's so good.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
It's so good that strength and contact bounds to stay upright,
and it's you've got three defenders trying to tackle you
and you're just spinning off of it easy. So yeah,
that's that's so impressive. But this next one, man, this
is is just a touchdown. This is a touchdown run.
So it's one of my favorite run concepts.
Speaker 2 (46:00):
Is playing hopscotch.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
Like I like that the cults are gonna run Crunch.
It's a really fun run concept where pretty much the
blocker the blockers are they're kind of like dice like
intersecting with each other. Yeah, yeah, like access on each
you know, each side. So like it's it's a fun concept.
Eagles should run it more that they don't run it.
(46:23):
They run it like sparingly over the free past a
year or two. They should run more. But anyways, yeah,
colts run crunch and you're gonna see the safety number
thirty seven. He's gonna come on blocks from the second level.
No no, no, no, thirty three sorry, thirty three. That is
number thirty three is such a great that's a linebacker.
(46:43):
So he's gonna come on blocked here and like let
me let me rewind it a little bit because you
don't get to fully appreciate the succession of moves here.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
You're a eurostep.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Yeah, it's like you you wonder like when you know
those like running back trainers that like you train the
running backs, and they had them do these drills with
the cones and whatnot. This is what it looks like.
This is the type of highlight where those coaches will
pull post on Instagram and say, look at Taylor here,
this is what this this Joe translate to. That's that's
(47:18):
what it looks like. That's legit. What it looks like
is him going through cones. It's the it's he makes it.
What I like about is he makes it look so effortless.
I've said that about Beijon, I said that about Saquon,
I said that about Kenneth Walker. Like to be able
to string these moves but make it look effortless and like, yeah,
(47:42):
it's just another day. Like that's what makes it makes
them special. So the cut and then string together, having
that extra cut right of right off of it, using
that the stiff arm to fight off fifty and then
the acceleration. I mean, Moni hooker, this time he's not
able to get him. Sorry your money, Like this time
(48:03):
you're not gonna he to catch him, You're not gonna
be able to bring him down this time. This is
just yeah, and that that that acceleration.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Man, that's and that's the thing, like the patience to
get through the whole within the acceleration to to to
not get caught from behind who was out out that acceleration.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
That that's just that's not fair, that's there's not there
aren't many running backs with that type of acceleration just
to get in traffic and just to be out of
there like I'm out, I'm out. That's special. That's special.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Crazy.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
Yeah, I love watching elite running backs. On Jonathan Taylor,
I've we've broken down him, but obviously say one many times,
it's just fun to watch that. It's so much fun
to watch that. So even though he won't get m
v P because running backs don't get MVP anymore, he
you know, obviously he would get my boat because he's
just on on any any final Jonathan Taylor.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
No, I mean the next best team. I don't know.
I mean they're just good. They're a solid team and
everything is clicking from them right now. The best record
in football, it's not it's not talked about enough. They
have a decent matchup this Sunday. Pittsburgh is always a
tough place to play, so they're gonna be tested as
(49:25):
far as the environment. So I'm curious to see. I
don't I don't know what their schedule, don't I don't
know if they play in Kansas City or they play Buffalo,
any other top contenders. And you see what they did
with the Chargers, right, I mean the charge they were up.
I think it was a three score game at one
point against the Chargers and that was on the road.
H So I'm very I like the team, like the players.
(49:49):
It's a good story, especially for Daniel Jones. And I
mean realistically, the wide receivers is just one thing that's
where they may run into a problem when they start
playing that top tier talent and you need high level
talent on the outside that make a play. If they
have that, if their wide receivers can do that, the
(50:10):
wide receivers can make a play, If Pittman could make
a play, if if Pierce Jr. Can make a play,
Josh Downs, I feel like I'm missing somebody else, another
wide receiver. Uh don't they have from Texas?
Speaker 1 (50:28):
You say all peers?
Speaker 2 (50:29):
I said out a Peers said, Pittman said Downs. I
feel like they don't.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
They had the kid Mitchell, Yeah, Mitchell, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Who the one loss that they had. He was he
talked about him a lot.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
I feel like, yeah, I don't know what's going on
with him, but we'll see if he's able to contribute
later on more can kind of get out of the
dog outs. But yeah, they I mean, it's not like
they need him right now. They're they're firing on all cylinders.
It's it's awesome. It's awesome to see. If we talked
(51:09):
about it last week, like he that's Chiefs one of
them them too, And how would you would you would
you right now put the Colts over the Chiefs. If
you're heard the power ring, then that poss up, like
I don't think there's a run answer.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
And neutral field, neutral field, I think I would just
based off of track record neutral field, I would probably
have the Chiefs a half point favorite, but probably would
bet on the Colts.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
Gotcha.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
I really think that that's and that's just real quick
to kind of give you Jalen Hurts is one two, three,
four eleven the passing yards, but he has the second third.
He has the third highest QB rating and it is
the only QB on this list with over two hundred
(52:03):
pass attempts and won an interception, and he has third
highest most touchdown passes at fifteen. Patrick Mahomes Patrick Mahomes
and Stafford have seventeen, but theyve Patrick Lewhons has four
interceptions and Stafford has two. With the rating one hundred
(52:24):
and nine point three, and Jalen is right now one
fourteen point four. Golf has won sixteen point four. But
completion percentage as well for Hurts is seventy percent, Mahomes
is sixty seven and Danie John Dale Jones is seventy
one point two. One hundred and nine point one hundred
and nine point five quarterbambery and thirteen touchdowns, three interceptions.
(52:48):
But he's already over two thousand yards. He's yeah, he's fourth,
He's fourth, one of the best, the best rocking in football.
And then Drake May two, Drakes a sleeper.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
Man, I have no problem including him in the conversation.
He is born. Absolutely, Oh my god. So I don't
know if I take I don't know if I would
pick the Colts over the Chiefs still at this point,
but man, it's close. And the fact that I'm saying
(53:22):
it's a toss up, it's just kudos to the Testament,
to the cults. It's yeah, they're there. There's so much
fun to watch on defense too, We're giving shout out
to to the offense on defense too, they are they're bomb.
Speaker 2 (53:39):
Has has them playing as a unit. It's it's a unit.
It's not you had the Forest Buckner. Who's the other kid? Really,
I can't really name you anybody else in their defense,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (53:54):
So well you got uh who's the one? Uh? Layout Okay,
I really liked him, but yeah, it's it's they're they're
they're playing well. And obviously my my fellow Panoy Cam
Biden doing the same there. I loved that pick up
for that defense because he's.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
I didn't know he had left Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
Yeah, yeah, huge pickup for that because he's like that
that backfield general you know, for that defense. You know,
he he's able to see that. He's just so smart
and knows where to be. So having a reliable guy
at safety for that defense is huge. So he's yeah,
he's playing so well. So yeah, I love the Colts.
(54:35):
Eager to see where they go forward. So from one
awesome a FC team AFC team to a really bad
AFC team, an AFC team who who seemed to finally
figure herself out a little bit on offense, but their
defense defenses just not can't figure this out. Uh, the Bengals, right,
(54:56):
But one of the silver linings over the past two
weeks is is that Chase Brown is finding he is
finally finding his funny and finally able to you know,
the blocking in front of it was it was never
his fault at the beginning of the year for the
lack of production, but finally getting some good blocking in
front of him, and he's he's making it work. He's
(55:19):
he's putting it in work. So two straight good games
by him. This against the Jets, he had twelve carriers
for seventy three yards rushing, one rushing touchdown, three receptions
thirty two yards receiving, and one receiving touchdown. There are
two players I want to highlight from him. The one
was this one was a heads up play like never
(55:41):
seen this before? Have you seen this before?
Speaker 2 (55:47):
If we toss that back that see, that's going to
be a play for a loss or possibly possible turnover. Yeah,
very heavy play, very very.
Speaker 1 (55:57):
Heady play by Chase Brown. Season boom like that that
edge defender just has a bee line. So the edge
offenders like winging like, oh I got this, jeez, Brown's
like nope, I got this. And goes for twelve yards.
Awesome heads up play.
Speaker 2 (56:13):
I had to you know, next tailor was saying to
when he came back, like or his running backs coach
after that, like good play.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
Yeah, awesome play, and that's that's why he is there.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
Seventy five, seventy five just gets beat.
Speaker 1 (56:24):
Yeah yeah, right off the arc, two right off the art.
So awesome play. But the next play his touchdown catch
to end the first half. This was impressivemself. So he's
gonna come out of the backfield. It was like an
option route. But boom uh pete. What did I say
before week one about hands? What did I say about
(56:45):
running back catching away from his body? Look at that
strength and the power to finish. That's just wanting it.
So when you have I say this at nauseum. But
if you are just touning in and listening to me
for the first time or whatnot. If you're a running back,
if you want to add value to your game and
(57:07):
become even more valuable, learn how to do stuff like this,
like receiver stuff, receiver routes. Catching with your hands. Look
at that being able to have soft enough hands to
catch comfortably away from your body. That's how you're a
good receiver. Body catches don't mean anything. Receptions and even
(57:30):
line of scrimmers don't mean anything. Stuff like this. To
be able to go into a route and catch like
a wide receiver adds value to you.
Speaker 2 (57:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
So awesome stuff by Chase Brown. Awesome stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
Stuff.
Speaker 1 (57:43):
That's where you can be like, oh, I see what
the Bengals were saying and comparing him to Austin Eckler
because he looks like Austin Eckler on that play. So
great stuff by Chase Brown. He's gonna have no fantasy
managers are probably like thigh of relief. They've been waiting
for him to start producing.
Speaker 2 (58:02):
So I mean, I still they lost the game. The defense, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (58:11):
Yeah, absolutely was not on the offense. Uh the last
running back I want to bring down clips off Himani
by Dow. You know it was over, you know, almost
a week ago, but Chargers put us a lacking to
the Vikings. Uh right, dal has come in for the
injured Naji Harris and Amario Hampton, and it's almost like
(58:33):
the Chargers haven't missed a beat. And by that, like
he was one of the running back prospects, you know,
late round prospect to studying him. I was like, yo,
this he can be solid and he's he's he's short
in compact, he's powerful quickness and ah, hol on Troy,
(58:58):
come on miss second college Troy. I was right, Yeah,
Troy or University, so small school.
Speaker 2 (59:08):
I had no idea where that's at.
Speaker 1 (59:09):
I don't know where it's at. I just know it's college.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
I want to say Michigan. I have no clue because
I know there's a Troy Michigan.
Speaker 1 (59:18):
True, yeah, Michigan. Is it Michigan. No, it's Alabama, Alabama, Okay, okay,
by Alabama. A lot of these colleges. Don't know, lie, no, lie,
A lot of these colleges, I don't know where they're at.
If you're like, if your college like Northern Liberty.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
This is a D one school, I don't know where
you're at. In state tuition is ten thousand, out of
state is twenty thousand. God, it's not bad. I mean,
that's not bad for a D one school.
Speaker 1 (59:50):
That's not Ye, that's not bad. That's not bad. So
but yeah, Commandie right Dow against the Vikings, he had
twenty carries a hundred, it's seventeen yards one touchdown, and
one reception for ten receiving yards and these two runs,
it's just like it showcases what I was talking about
with him. Here's the quickness, but like look at the
(01:00:10):
power to contact balance, like the Harrison Smith. He is
driving Harrison Smith like this is not.
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
He's way and he's just going for a ride.
Speaker 1 (01:00:22):
Yeah, low Man wins. Lo Man wins. He rides them
for he goes for let's see, he's at the forty
what is this the forty nine? Yeah, where an extra
seven eight yards? So yeah, that is strength right there
to be able to do that. He's again he's short,
but he ain't small. Low Man wins that leg drive
(01:00:46):
keep going boom and then this run is just the
quickness takes this. There's the cut, there's the vision cut
inside again contact balance, strength or awesome COMMANI ry Doll.
I really hope that, you know, even when Hampton comes
back from injury, I still hope that they give by
(01:01:08):
Dow touches.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
It's one of those things like now you can kind
of keep him fresh.
Speaker 1 (01:01:13):
Yeah yeah, I mean like they were doing a split
backward with Harris and Hampton anyway, so like do some
type of committee with those two because y dal has
shown he deserves touches. He's a good running back. He's
a good running back. Yeah, so awesome stuff. That's all
the clips we have, But shout out, like, I haven't
(01:01:36):
gotten to all their all of these guys filmed yet
and posted yet, so you know, and we don't want
to run two hours, but shout out to we had
to obviously shout out James Cook. James Cook against a
really good Panthers run defense. Nineteen carries for two hundred
and sixteen rushing yards and two touchdowns, two toudies against
(01:01:59):
a good Panthers run defense. Awesome stuff. I like it
when the Bills are able to be a balanced offense,
balance the word. They are able to run the ball
with authority and be physical and not have to rely
on Josh Allen to play hear ball all the time.
Get James Cook going like this and this is that's
(01:02:20):
when the Bills are most of the jerus. So shout
out to James Cook. I'm I if you're listening, I'm
gonna probably post some clips of him. You know, as
the week goes on. Again, I can only do so much,
so you know, I've been trying to do a lot
with all these running back performances, I'm trying my best
to like grind the table of them and watch as
many as I can because they all deserve it. So
(01:02:41):
I'll put some James Cook clips out as the week
goes on. Uh, the other guy, Breze Hall for the Jets. Jets,
we talked about the Bengals. Well, Bengals lost to the Jets.
Big reason was Brice Hall. He had eighteen carries for
one hundred and thirty three rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns,
two receptions for fourteen receiving yards, and the go ahead
(01:03:02):
passing touchdown to Mason Taylor, game winning passing touchdown. That
was a fun play. That was a fun game the
end of that game. But shout out to Breeze Hall again.
He's I don't know if he's gonna get traded, like
I keep seeing that. Like you know, obviously everybody wants
him to get out of New York because yes, there's
(01:03:22):
a dumpster fire. He'd be awesome in a place like
the Kansas City. I don't know if Kansas City would
give up stuff for him. But he's he's good again.
Another him and King nine are just almost forgotten running
backs who are elite talents and then just bad situations
for one way or another. And you know, I would
love to see Brisall go elsewhere to like a good
(01:03:43):
team and see what he can do. But as of
right now, he's stuck with the Jets. But he's still
he's still having a pretty good season. So stay healthy,
keep keep balling, young man. Anyone else you wanted to shout,
anyone rest you want to.
Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
I mean, looking at his state, I didn't have like
good stats, but he had a really good run. That
was j Harvey, like.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
Three touchdowns, yep, retouchdowns. That forty yard touchdown, you know,
set the tone against the Cowboys. Also you could you
saw the on that run. You saw like the burst
and just the explosiveness by him. So yeah, and then
yeah you had two you had three total touchdowns and
another he had two rushing and then the one receiving touchdown.
(01:04:33):
There's the one receiving touchdown to him. Awesome design, beautiful design,
uh to get him free and near the goal line.
And it was an easy, you know, easy toss to him.
So yeah, he's been getting like a substantial you know,
increased workload behind JK. Dobbins, and I think that's just
going to continue. They're using him as like that Alvin
(01:04:54):
Kamara role, and that's you know, that's gonna continue as
it goes on. So awesome song, Rdie Harvey hash tag
Harvey hive awesome stuff, awesome stuff. All right, No, huddle,
what you got.
Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Do? I huddle? Actually think about it? Hey, Now, football related,
we talked about three out of the four teams right
now and for the areas going, well, what the hell's
going on with this Brice Harper situation.
Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
I don't know. I don't follow baseball outside the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
So you listen, old body, old body may be traded
to the Las Vegas Athletics whenever, but like that.
Speaker 1 (01:05:29):
Who were the Las Vegas Athletics in Las Vegas? Oh? Wow,
Hardy Yes, And he's from following you know, I guess
the following.
Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
Well, Don Browski, the GM said a couple of things
about the reporter asked Bryce didn't have a great year.
We had a good year all of a sudden. Now,
that same reporter that asked that question, at least the
article with Bryce saying that what the GM said hurt
his feelings. Just that and the thing and it's like
(01:05:59):
the a it's like if a situation was real.
Speaker 1 (01:06:03):
Wow yeah, oh boy. So like I don't I don't
follow much for U for uh what we call for baseball.
I don't know, Like, would you is that the right?
Because like with the A Phillies, they're not They're not winning.
Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
Anything, but they need to do something. They this this
core whatever reason cannot get it done, so they need
to do a change with it. I would be shocked
at they trade rice, but not shocked that they traded price,
like they can go eat option, but this is not
We've seen the Eagles be able to handle adversity internally
(01:06:47):
and rise above it and win a championship or even
just play well mm hmmm, we've never seen this. The
Phillies have never had this that I can remember. Would
you at Howard Worth j rowl Like it wasn't this
you know what I mean to where the GM and
(01:07:08):
and the face of the franchise is going back and forth? Yeah,
you know what I mean. It's just not a good
precedent and he hasn't no trade calls. But if it's
that tumultuous, you get you and you would get back
a hole. You would get back a hole. And I'm not.
I always said this love Bryce. When he got trade
(01:07:31):
the first year he left Washington, what did they do?
They fucking won the World Series the very next year
that he was going. Because guess where they found I don't.
I don't know if he was already in the system,
what have you wan? So though not saying the Phillies
have that or they can get somebody like that, it's
(01:07:53):
just you can't. I mean, they went to the World
Series three years ago now, mm hmm, you know what
I mean, and they had the lead in the World Series,
they were up two games to one, and every since
then it's been a regressional regression of russion. So yeah,
I mean, if you tell me I can trade Rice
and keep Ranger sores Ranger.
Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
That good.
Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
Yeah. The whole the strength of the team is the
starting rotation, and it's they didn't they didn't lose to
the Dodgers because the rotation was bad. That's been quiet.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Well I don't know why, but I had a feeling
Rangers struggled this season.
Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
So he was hurt.
Speaker 1 (01:08:32):
He was hurt, Okay, that's why.
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Yeah, he was hurt. But no, if he hits the market,
he's probably getting eighty two hundred million dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:08:38):
Okay, yeah, and shore Ward's gone.
Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
You think too old if you don't, if you trade
price now.
Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
Yeah, I think it again. I don't follow baseball, I
don't follow the Phillies like that. But from from just
my point of view, this corrier hasn't won anything. I
think it's time to move on harder, new and rebuilt.
I just just like, you only have so many chances.
Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Like you can't cast these retooled. You gotta do something. Yeah,
it's just because the rotation is there. You just need
you need. You're one to three with that much money,
can't go that quiet.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
The bats in the playoffs were quiet, like you're supposed to.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
The bottom line up.
Speaker 1 (01:09:27):
Just yeah, yeah, it's too much to can't it happen?
Can't have happened?
Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
So all right?
Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
So my my one hoddel we mentioned National tight Ends
Day was this week. Uh, and there's no tight end
that showed out more than Tucker Craft. And I had
said since the beginning of the season, before the season,
Tucker Craft is that next elite tight end. And boy
is he showing you that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
Boy is Johad Campbell? Your numbers up? Baby?
Speaker 1 (01:10:03):
Well, I mean like if it's well, no, you're in't coverage. No,
you're You're right, it would be Jo would be job. Yeah,
Oh my god. Tucker Craft is an animal. He's there's
no doubt in my mind. And this is this is
with Josh Shacobs there, Tucker Craft is the best skilled
player on that Packers offense these.
Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
And he sounds like a packer. Tucker Craft, you were
born to be a packer. Literally, the last name is
is a dairy product. Like literally, I hope we have.
Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
Some kind of like branding over in Green Bay right now.
Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
We can't make this.
Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
I gotta ask my my one friend that was on
the the that covers the Packers, I gotta ask him, like,
do Tucker Craft like have branding and marketing stuff with
his last name? Because I feel like that's a missed opportunity.
If he doesn't, like he has to, that's absolutely you
know then Yeah, So, uh.
Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Blue Jays tied the World Series up.
Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
By the way, I would not have known, like won
sixty from what I for if you asked me, I'm like,
there's a World Series going on right now, Like I
didn't know.
Speaker 2 (01:11:19):
Tani is probably the best baseball player easily the last
fifty years. He got on base nine times last night,
Jesus Christ, and that.
Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
He wasn't healthy, he was hurt last World.
Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
Yes, he they won the World Series last year. He
didn't pitch. He he just said yeah so, but he
had to pitch tonight. And remember last night's game when
it was two games, it was it got over in
eighteen innings, it didn't end until three o'clock in the
morning our time, and he had to come back today
and pitch, and it looks like he got rocked.
Speaker 1 (01:11:55):
That's wow. Okay, yeah, okay, does that? And I guess
the last thing I want to say saying on Packer's team,
Jordan Love is playing well. I don't know where this
theme with many people. I don't I don't know. I mean,
I hope it runs out against us. But what I'm
saying is, you know, everyone there for some reason, I'm
(01:12:20):
still hearing the past week or two like Jordan Loves,
Jordan Love this like what he's been playing well, he
had like maybe what the Browns game was his only stinker.
Outside of that, he's been playing well, so kudos, Like
I think like whenever someone questions Jordan Love this season,
I'm like you're just not paying attention, are you like,
(01:12:43):
you're not really watching this? Is he's really He's really good.
He's really really good.
Speaker 2 (01:12:49):
Now.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
I hope he has another stinker against us and then
balls out the rest of the year. But he deserves
he deserves some love and respect. If pay attention. If
you think Jordan Love you're out there and you think
Jordan Love has not been good, you need to actually
watch the games. Because he's been good.
Speaker 2 (01:13:08):
I wouldn't say I don't think I'm god. I have
to look. And also, before we get out of here,
Week twelve, circle it out on your calendar. The game
may get flexed. Coats Chiefs in Kansas City Week twelve.
Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
That is that has game of the year written all
over it. Yeah wow, okay, coach chief and that game
b flex It's week twelve kind of be flexed.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
They may. I don't know. I don't know what they
can do. But it's right now to one o'clock start.
Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
I don't know if it can be can.
Speaker 2 (01:13:44):
I'm right now I'm just going to real quick take
a look at this schedule that the Packers have had
because I'm trying to see what level of defenses they played.
Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
Week twelve games can be flexed. They okay, that's going
to be flex that's the case that's going to be flexed.
Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
So I'm curious to see. I would argue to say
through the Detroit Lions Week one, that was a that
that's in the Rocks. But since then they've played Washington,
Cleveland going to score ten points, Dallas, Cincinnati, Arizona, Pittsburgh,
(01:14:24):
those defenses and don't I'm not taking nothing away with
Jordia only plays on your schedule, but that's it. This Sunday,
they're getting a pissed off Carolina team. I can tell
you that.
Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
And I'm curious the reason I said that.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
The reason I say is because Carolina's defense, like you said,
has been sound. Yeah, I would arguably, I would argue
to say that this is probably this is the second
best defense that they played all year until they play
US only ten, so we'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
I mean, did the the Panthers the run defense has
been good, but they still have no pass rush, So
the Packers are gonna have to win. I mean, the
Packers run game has struggled a little bit, so that's
nothing new. So they're gonna have to win again through
the air. So I mean if if Andy Dalton is
playing again.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Oh yeah, but but this I'm prefacing by saying, Jordan
loves play team did Jordan's Jordan's loves play his level? Yeah,
this is a this is another test. This is the
second toughest test he's had all year.
Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
We'll see, we shall see, and then and then there's
also so all right, Pete, good stuff. Thank you for
in my running back fetish.
Speaker 2 (01:15:47):
Double Duty. That Wednesday was filmed on Tuesday. Go watch,
I've already did a show today that was live.
Speaker 1 (01:15:56):
You're on lazy booking. Yes, nice, nice? So, uh, next
week we for the viewers scheduling note, it's going to
be another change up from our regular like criteria. Uh.
With that, with it being the halfway point of the
NFL season, roughly, we are going to do a mid
season power rankings episode. We're gonna bring in our good
(01:16:19):
friend from Ego Stock, Rob Brinkman to join us, and
we are going to power rank the teams. We're into tears,
so that way, it's it's kind of like fun conversation
to kind of see who's grouped together. But yeah, the
tenders playoffs, you know, brit Fringe guys and so we'll
we'll tear them off and that should be a lot
(01:16:40):
of fun. We'll go through the whole, you know, all
thirty two teams and see where we each of us,
you know, puts them who are who we believe are legit,
who we believe should be prepared for the draft. So
that will be next week's episode. Thank you to our
sponsor again, ALONSI Travel. If you need a vacation, want
to start play in vacation, hit me up please. It
(01:17:01):
doesn't have to be Disney and Universal too. I do
all this stuff, but if it's Disney or Universal, you
better hit me up. Charles at onondasktravel dot com for myself,
for Pete and the rest of the A two D
Radio family, where we appreciate you. No Eagles this week,
so for all you follow Eagles fans, watch the NFL
(01:17:23):
in peace and smile knowing that the Eagles are not.
Don't have to stress you out this week.
Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
Before we get out of here, I just want to
give a shout out and hearts and prayers to the
Cole family for those who've been following me and I
think Chucks you may or may not, but I used
to do to show original at d with Philly Sportscots
with my boy Aaron. We used to have a guest
from time to time. Ralph Cole was a Steelers fan.
No longer with this as of Friday, this past Friday.
(01:17:52):
So my heart goes out to him and his family
and extend the friends Steelers nation. He was. He was
a personality man. You will true literally be missed, which
will literally be a.
Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
Missed prayer, prayers to him and his family, all right.
Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
Talk about all right? So let's me fly. Eagles Fly.
