opens up, Triple H does a massive intro for John
Cena in Boston. Incredible pop. It was a really that
in and of itself was was cool, you know what

I mean, great for Sina. He comes out to the crowd,
he cuts his promo, he talks about, you know how
important it was for him. You know, he said, basically,
I didn't pick the dates. I didn't pick the venues
they asked me. And the really only request I told
him is I want to go in front of Boston
one last time. Because he's obviously he's from West Newbury, Massachusetts.

So that comes to fruition. Last night, they have this
incredible opening segment where he talks about that. He talks
about the the Last Time is Now tournament, and he
talks about Saturday Night's main event that's going to be
coming up. Mix another kind of under the radar announcement

that I think clearly got blown out of the water,
and that was that this specific Saturday Night's main event
is going. It sounds like to me, guys, is going
to be an entire event of opportunities not just in
his match, but it's going to be established talent working
with some of the up and coming top NXT talent
(05:14):
to showcase them on a big show with the main roster.
So I think that was another thing that really was
great to hear about because that is something that will
differentiate the typical Saturday Night's main event that we've talked
about in the past. So sure we'll touch on that.
But anyway, Dominic Masterio comes out, interrupts John Cena, talks
(05:37):
about how he you know, his championship celebration got interrupted
and that he doesn't get interrupted, but he interrupts old guys,
and then he talks about how he's better than everybody.
He would have beat Seena in any era of the
John Cena run. And then Triple H drops the hammer says, well,

if you think you could beat him in any ear,
let's see you do it. We're have an intercontinental title match.
Uh So, I thought a very very good match between
the two dom I thought, look great in this match.
We get to the finish, we have we have a
referee bump. We have seen it. It's just such an

entertaining guy. You know, they do the you know, undo
the turn buckle, and then that distracts the referee. Dom
gets the chair and then he tosses it to scene,
falls down the old Ddy Guerrero move, and Sina counters
that by dropping the chair next to Dom and then
laying down. And then they have this funny exchange for
Dom's looking at him and then Seen It looks at

him and gives him a smile, gives him a wink.
All this great stuff that we've seen from Seen It.
I mean it's been it's just been trouble. Anyway. We
get there and obviously, uh Seen It doesn't hit the AA.
Dom ends up hitting him with the six one nine,
goes for the frog splash, hits it. But Sina, who
earlier in the night tells me he's invincible, does he presses,

grabs Tom, picks him up, presses him over his head
into the I called the FU, the AA, whatever you
want to call it, hits Tom gets the pin, one
of the loudest pops I've ever seen on Money Night. Wrong,
I think that's that is up there. I don't know
if it tops it. You know, we've talked about how
you had the Mankind winning the championship, is kind of

one of the craziest pops that's ever happened. When Austin's
music hit, Hey, it's close, what goes insane when Sina
wins the title. So I don't know what this means, boys,
and sorry, I had to set the stage for everybody.
Some people maybe didn't see it, but I feel like
it's always good good to give the context of the
event we're talking about. So I'm gonna let Eric kick

quick footnote. Now the twenty second man and twenty eighth
overall to be a Grand Slam Champion in ww history.

So time jeers Well, I would say, you know, just
to piggyback off all you said. I think it was
tremendous last night what we saw, and I think it's
well deserved that he became the Grand Slam Champion. I
hear Sina in that in that promo and over the

last few weeks talking about giving back and providing stuff
that he was provided when when he first started, And
I think this is an opportunity. Here he's gotten the
Intercontinental tied to which I see this as a WW idea.
I don't see this as a SENA idea. I think
this was something like, Hey, here's a gift, thank you

for all you've done. Here's here's h here's the last
championship that you've that you haven't won with the WWE.
But that being said, I don't think he will leave
with the Intercontinental title. And the reason why is I
think it's an opportunity to kind of what he's been

saying regarding giving back, it's an opportunity for maybe a
new star or somebody that we don't even know, we're
not even looking at right now, to get that opportunity
to take that title from John Cena and build him
up and kind of what they were they're alluding to

giving somebody an opportunity, and I think this is just
an added part to that. So I don't think he
should retire with the title. But I also I really
don't think he's going to so it's it's enough, I think,
just a great opportunity to catapult somebody. And we talk
about this on the show where who's that next big star,

Who's who's somebody who is going going to benefit from
this tournament. There's names floating around, we're seeing some of
the brackets, and we're going to talk about that in
a little bit. But I think this is even more
of an opportunity to throw some sena dust on on
somebody new, somebody that could use it. And what better

way is to have that have that icy title on
over their shoulder or around their waist or whatever they want.

you gotta throw a lot of credit to Joe test Tory,
who set that stage beautifully last night leading into Triple
h being in the ring, talking about Wes Newberry and
how close it was, and how John had come to

was fantastic leading into that than Triple eighth again, like
you said, put him over once John and Triple Atre
in the ring. I went back to like two thousand
and seven, two thousand and eight, two thousand and nine,
when it was that little bit back and forth between them,
seen it was at the top, Chrome was out on

that Chrome, Triple at was obviously still at the top
of his game. And then to have Dominic Mysterio come out,
which was a match that everybody had been clamoring for.
And as the date started dwindling and dwindling and dwindling
more and more, it became very evident that we probably
weren't going to get that match, and so to get

it now in Boston, I thought was so well done
because you had the number one heel, arguably the number
one heel of the company in the ring, with a
wrestling legend, you know, somebody who's on the mountin.

rockets from the video packages to set this, you know,
to kick things off. Do I think Johnsena retires with

some kind of open challenge, which I saw. I think

Dominic looks fantastic coming out of last night. He took Sena,

he went toe to toe with Sina and he held
his own. He didn't look like he was some up
and coming rookie or you know, somebody who's only been
doing this for a couple of years. And then you
put a title on John Cena that he's never had.

the Saturday Night's main event, like almost like a speech

for either Triple A, ORF for John Seni or whatever
have you, and somebody said, oh god, he's never won
the Inner Continental title. He's not the Grand Slam champion.
And that's why we got last night. You also got
him to win the title in Boston. You made the
Boston show so much more special. And I think that
was WWE looking at the Boston fans and going sw

we're not doing his final match here. Politics be damned,
here's what we're gonna give you instead. So let him
run it, Let him run it for three weeks, let
me run it for a month. You don't want to
drop the IC title that quickly. You don't wan him
to look on paper as a transitional champion, So protect
all that have him retire with it, which means he

will ultimately, I think, win his final match. You know
we've alluded to that before on here, because Angle beat
him in his debut match. He's wanting to put somebody
over and give somebody that opportunity. Well that opportunity was
got his ass kicked in his first match, but they
held as that person held their own. So there's a

lot of different factors in play here. But I'm gonna disagree.
I mean, I'm gonna agree. I think he retires.

the concept based on what happened last night. Dom looks
so good in this match that why wouldn't you run

for Judgment Day, like where am I? Where are all
my guys at? I don't know if you saw the
backstage promo after the match. He's looking for his Judgment Day.
Guys can't find him, so he goes. He gets in
the tournament, he gets to the finals, he wins, and

he faces Sena. He wins the Intercontinental title. Sena gives
him the title and instead of walking away, he shakes
his hand and becomes an Ultimate babyface like we've been
trying to get to for several months. You want to
build new stars, that's the way to do it. You're

giving back. Why wouldn't you do that? Why I'm not
saying it's gonna happen, but wouldn't it make sense to
build the biggest star, like one of the guy that
you're trying to build up and you've been put so
much into for for years and make him a babyface
because the fans are already cheering him anyway, why not
just go that direction.

he cares about is his legacy, and his legacy is

and I really believe it. Seeing the work that Sina
has done and how meticulous he has and how creative
he is and imaginative in the ring, even with the

and was like even his look, he looked like an
old guy. And he talks about not wanting to be
one of those guys who's a shell of himself. And
I think that he probably, I really believe that he
looked back and probably thought to himself, like when he

back at himself and probably, and this is my speculation,
probably said I could have gave better, and I want
to come back and go out on a high note
on my terms. And he is John Cenas, so he
has that kind of cachet and swagger. So I believe

the War Games announcement, Like WWE didn't even show the
win on their social media's. They went straight into the
spot where Lash comes out and starts beating down EO

pinfall for the Kabooki Warriors here, and it's just not hitting,
do you know what I mean? We will transition from
EO and Rhea to Charlotte and Alexai. Yeah, they have
the titles, but it just felt really forced to put

babyfaced team that's clearly gonna win. Because if the Vision's
gonna win, the men we're not gonna have both heel
teams win. So now you're making these guys the underdogs
and you broke up some They was really good. I
thought their tag team run was great, and I really
don't want to see you break up this tag team
because you don't have established women tag teams anyway.

just got boot out of the building and they needed

think this team is not done. I think the reason

she's like, it's still like they're known, they're well known,
and people can connect and say, okay, like those titles
mean something. But like fucking purple one, we got a

Just starting to like we're just going online and ordering

Eric talked about this weeks ago. So how does she
lose all these titles? Is she gonna go and suddenly

drop all these titles? Because then what happens because then
she looks terrible because then she can't win a match.
Is she gonna lose all of them the one I
like Derek's idea, lose them all to one person and
then let that person go and do it, you know,
kind of doing all or nothing to kind of get
your bail out. But like it's true, she's she's done

nothing for anybody. She's putting nobody over other than Tony,
who didn't need it. I mean, I definitely think Tony
needed to win that match, but it was more about
that's about getting Tony further over and more about like, like,
just show me something TK that tells me that you're

not obsessed with Mercedes, because I'm almost uncomfortable with how
the level of obsession that.

I feel like is going on with this, and like
where are these other Like if you're these other companies,
she's had some of these titles a hot minute, you're
not out there defending them, start stripping her of the
titles if nothing else.

up was have the promoters from each of these territories
show up on Dynamite and be like, you haven't defended
these titles. You have X amount of time to defend
these titles. And if you don't, you're gonna be stripped.
And then she throws a she throws a hissy because
she's good at that, and have that be her conflict

where she loses the titles that way. But I mean,
there's gotta there's got to be an endgame.

assume that she's there for a reason. Definitely move Tiffany
Stratton down. I mean, I think Stephanie Vacker is amazing
mm hm. Like I would probably put her in at
number three. I would put EO probably at number four.

very good in Nato. I think it took a while
what she got there. But I just to me, I
don't I don't see the company as valuing her as

So I would probably still keep her behind rhya uh
say so she was? I liked her in the next day.

opens up, Triple H does a massive intro for John
Cena in Boston. Incredible pop. It was a really that
in and of itself was was cool, you know what

I mean, great for Sina. He comes out to the crowd,
he cuts his promo, he talks about, you know how
important it was for him. You know, he said, basically,
I didn't pick the dates. I didn't pick the venues
they asked me. And the really only request I told
him is I want to go in front of Boston
one last time. Because he's obviously he's from West Newbury, Massachusetts.

So that comes to fruition. Last night, they have this
incredible opening segment where he talks about that. He talks
about the the Last Time is Now tournament, and he
talks about Saturday Night's main event that's going to be
coming up. Mix another kind of under the radar announcement
(04:51):
that I think clearly got blown out of the water,
and that was that this specific Saturday Night's main event
is going. It sounds like to me, guys, is going
to be an entire event of opportunities not just in
his match, but it's going to be established talent working
with some of the up and coming top NXT talent
(05:14):
to showcase them on a big show with the main roster.
So I think that was another thing that really was
great to hear about because that is something that will
differentiate the typical Saturday Night's main event that we've talked
about in the past. So sure we'll touch on that.
But anyway, Dominic Masterio comes out, interrupts John Cena, talks
(05:37):
about how he you know, his championship celebration got interrupted
and that he doesn't get interrupted, but he interrupts old guys,
and then he talks about how he's better than everybody.
He would have beat Seena in any era of the
John Cena run. And then Triple H drops the hammer says, well,
(05:59):
if you think you could beat him in any ear,
let's see you do it. We're have an intercontinental title match.
Uh So, I thought a very very good match between
the two dom I thought, look great in this match.
We get to the finish, we have we have a
referee bump. We have seen it. It's just such an
(06:20):
entertaining guy. You know, they do the you know, undo
the turn buckle, and then that distracts the referee. Dom
gets the chair and then he tosses it to scene,
falls down the old Ddy Guerrero move, and Sina counters
that by dropping the chair next to Dom and then
laying down. And then they have this funny exchange for
Dom's looking at him and then Seen It looks at
(06:41):
him and gives him a smile, gives him a wink.
All this great stuff that we've seen from Seen It.
I mean it's been it's just been trouble. Anyway. We
get there and obviously, uh Seen It doesn't hit the AA.
Dom ends up hitting him with the six one nine,
goes for the frog splash, hits it. But Sina, who
earlier in the night tells me he's invincible, does he presses,

grabs Tom, picks him up, presses him over his head
into the I called the FU, the AA, whatever you
want to call it, hits Tom gets the pin, one
of the loudest pops I've ever seen on Money Night. Wrong,
I think that's that is up there. I don't know
if it tops it. You know, we've talked about how
you had the Mankind winning the championship, is kind of
(07:29):
one of the craziest pops that's ever happened. When Austin's
music hit, Hey, it's close, what goes insane when Sina
wins the title. So I don't know what this means, boys,
and sorry, I had to set the stage for everybody.
Some people maybe didn't see it, but I feel like
it's always good good to give the context of the
event we're talking about. So I'm gonna let Eric kick

it off here, we're working around the andy. We'll get
back to me. You agree to disagree with this statement?
John Cena should retire as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. Another
quick footnote. Now the twenty second man and twenty eighth
overall to be a Grand Slam Champion in ww history.

So time jeers Well, I would say, you know, just
to piggyback off all you said. I think it was
tremendous last night what we saw, and I think it's
well deserved that he became the Grand Slam Champion. I
hear Sina in that in that promo and over the
(08:30):
last few weeks talking about giving back and providing stuff
that he was provided when when he first started, And
I think this is an opportunity. Here he's gotten the
Intercontinental tied to which I see this as a WW idea.
I don't see this as a SENA idea. I think
this was something like, Hey, here's a gift, thank you
(08:51):
for all you've done. Here's here's h here's the last
championship that you've that you haven't won with the WWE.
But that being said, I don't think he will leave
with the Intercontinental title. And the reason why is I
think it's an opportunity to kind of what he's been
(09:13):
saying regarding giving back, it's an opportunity for maybe a
new star or somebody that we don't even know, we're
not even looking at right now, to get that opportunity
to take that title from John Cena and build him
up and kind of what they were they're alluding to
(09:35):
giving somebody an opportunity, and I think this is just
an added part to that. So I don't think he
should retire with the title. But I also I really
don't think he's going to so it's it's enough, I think,
just a great opportunity to catapult somebody. And we talk
about this on the show where who's that next big star,
(09:58):
Who's who's somebody who is going going to benefit from
this tournament. There's names floating around, we're seeing some of
the brackets, and we're going to talk about that in
a little bit. But I think this is even more
of an opportunity to throw some sena dust on on
somebody new, somebody that could use it. And what better

way is to have that have that icy title on
over their shoulder or around their waist or whatever they want.
That's it.

Yeah, So before we get I get really into this,
you gotta throw a lot of credit to Joe test Tory,
who set that stage beautifully last night leading into Triple
h being in the ring, talking about Wes Newberry and
how close it was, and how John had come to
the t D Garden and the garden to see he

was fantastic leading into that than Triple eighth again, like
you said, put him over once John and Triple Atre
in the ring. I went back to like two thousand
and seven, two thousand and eight, two thousand and nine,
when it was that little bit back and forth between them,
seen it was at the top, Chrome was out on

that Chrome, Triple at was obviously still at the top
of his game. And then to have Dominic Mysterio come out,
which was a match that everybody had been clamoring for.
And as the date started dwindling and dwindling and dwindling
more and more, it became very evident that we probably
weren't going to get that match, and so to get

it now in Boston, I thought was so well done
because you had the number one heel, arguably the number
one heel of the company in the ring, with a
wrestling legend, you know, somebody who's on the mountin.

Rushmore, the Goat and Oh Proud.

It was raucous from the start, right like they were
rockets from the video packages to set this, you know,
to kick things off. Do I think Johnsena retires with
the Intercontinental Championship. I think you almost have to. There's
not a lot of dates left. We know he's in

the Madison Square Garden next week unless he does in
some kind of open challenge, which I saw. I think
it was who said that Dinosa that I.

was the one wrong thing they did in this tour
because John will have to drop the title quickly, or
you know Dominic. You know, you bury Dominic with this,
and I don't think you did any of that one.
Dominic looks fantastic coming out of last night. He took Sena,

you know, I won't say to the breaking point, but
he went toe to toe with Sina and he held
his own. He didn't look like he was some up
and coming rookie or you know, somebody who's only been
doing this for a couple of years. And then you
put a title on John Cena that he's never had.
You can't. It's almost like somebody was sitting there writing
the Saturday Night's main event, like almost like a speech

him the title and instead of walking away, he shakes
his hand and becomes an Ultimate babyface like we've been
trying to get to for several months. You want to
build new stars, that's the way to do it. You're

saying it's gonna happen, but wouldn't it make sense to
build the biggest star, like one of the guy that
you're trying to build up and you've been put so
much into for for years and make him a babyface

take the titles at this point off of Charlotte and Alexa.

of the show. While it was great. I love THREEA
coming back. I love setting up for war Games because
we are three weeks away from War Games and you
haven't started laying out those teams, and there's still the
advantage match that needs to happen and everything like that.

But what drove me so nuts was that you just
kind of thrusted the titles on the Kabuki Warriors for
no reason. Yeah, you've had the back and forth, you know,
it's SmackDown, whatever have you, but why drop the titles now?
It just it felt like a Also, it's just an

afterthought because then you had the Riar Ripley return and
the War Games announcement, Like WWE didn't even show the
win on their social media's. They went straight into the
spot where Lash comes out and starts beating down EO
and then Rhea comes out, like they went straight into
that piece of their social media's. You don't get the

pinfall for the Kabooki Warriors here, and it's just not hitting,
do you know what I mean? We will transition from
EO and Rhea to Charlotte and Alexai. Yeah, they have
the titles, but it just felt really forced to put
the titles on them because now you have a hungry,

babyfaced team that's clearly gonna win. Because if the Vision's
gonna win, the men we're not gonna have both heel
teams win. So now you're making these guys the underdogs
and you broke up some They was really good. I
thought their tag team run was great, and I really
don't want to see you break up this tag team
because you don't have established women tag teams anyway.

I don't why would we be on the same page.

I don't think Charlotte and Alex are done. I think
I think this team has been fantastic from the start,
the story of them not being friends to we're not friends,
but we're getting along, and they their social media is
really good. Their chemistry is something that I don't think
they expected. I think it became very organic and it

really helped Charlotte Flair. I mean remember at WrestleMania, she
just got boot out of the building and they needed
to do something new with her and she lost out
money in the bank. She didn't qualified for money in
the bank. She was lost, and Lexi's like, hey, let's
get a team together.

It was so well done that I hope and I
think this team is not done. I think the reason
that the Kabuki Warriors, you know that you give it
to the Kabuki Warriors. I see your point, Andy, it's
kind of like, all right, we throw them on them.
But I think it's the further the story with Charlot
and Alexa and Lash and Naya on SmackDown, and it

kind of just was right place, right time for the
Kabuki Warriors. So I wouldn't. I would say maybe after
war Games, you know, you got a little bit of
time before the Royal Rumble. Maybe on a Saturday night's
main event, maybe you get a triple threat for the
tag titles. Maybe Charlotte and Alexa get them back. But
I don't think you're gonna see them disband yet. I
know we got a tease with Jade on SmackDown where

Charlotte is looking at the title and they're looking at
each other and staring each other down, and I don't
think they're getting there yet. I think it's still Jade
and Bianca.

For I think that is Bianca ready to come back.

Sure, sure, And with that, you know, I think it's
good to tease a Charlotte flair Jade because that will
be a match I'm sure they're going to do eventually,
But I don't think that's gonna happen yet. I think
Charlotte and Alexa have been such a good team together.
I mean, I think it'd be foolish to pull them
apart now, even if they've lost the titles. I don't
think that team's done.

Yeah, I agree, listen. I think this has been great
for both of them, who were both you know, Charlotte
came back with a lot of heat, really was not
a favorable return in terms of the fan base coming back,
and Alexa just kind of came back this spot was
going for a couple months in another spot, and in fairness,

when you're not a part of WrestleMania plans typically that
that run unless it's the Rumble or an elimination chamber,
which which she did participate because they needed established bodies
for those matches. You're typically not really around much or
on television until Postmania, which is kind of what we saw, right.
So I think having them both work like this and

knowing we talked about the personal story behind the scenes,
how they were friends in the beginning and n XT
and then they both kind of had their own friends
for a little bit and kind of went off on
their own. But then during this period of time coming
back together. Uh, they've kind of rekindled a very real
life off camera friendship. That's friendship. So yeah, I think

it shows they're really awesome to watch. I think I
don't think we need to to start going down the
the Charlotte path. Yeah, I think we'll get there. I
